  • Will Fortnite’s Driftboard be removed in Season 8? – Dexerto

Will Fortnite’s Driftboard be removed in Season 8? After a long wait, Fortnite’s Driftboard has finally appeared in the game. But with the impending release of Season 8, could the item be removed so soon after it’s launch? The Driftboard’s inclusion in Fortnite was officially announced back in December, but it’s release was delayed after Epic Games stated they had found a bug with that item that meant they would no longer be able to roll the Driftboard out to players as they had hoped. Epic Games remained quiet on the subject until Sunday, February 17, when they finally confirmed that the item was on its way, with players getting the chance to hop on the Driftboard just two days later. When the Driftboard was released, Epic Games stated that the hoverboard would only be available in the game for a limited time, prompting players to wonder if the vehicle would be removed at the end of Season 7. Epic Games regularly freshen up the game at the beginning of a new season, and many thought it would be likely that the developers would take out the Driftboard and replace it at the start of Season 8. This will not be the case though, as Epic Games Community Coordinator Sean ‘MrPopoTFS’ Hamilton posted on Reddit to say: “Having fun catching air and nailing tricks with the Driftboard? Good news, it’ll still be available in the V8.00 update!” While Driftboards are hanging around in Season 8, Fortnite players will have to say farewell to the X-4 Stormwing plane, which Epic have confirmed will disappear at the start of Season 8. With many speculating that the Fortnite map will be covered in water and lava at the beginning of Season 8, it’s no surprise that the Driftboard is staying put, as the fact that it hovers will ensure players are able to traverse the map with ease.

  • Will Fortnite Season 10 really start right before the World Cup? Season 9 end date revealed – Dexerto

Will Fortnite Season 10 really start right before the World Cup? Season 9 end date revealed Epic GamesUpdate – May 2, 2019 (3:30pm ET) After much speculation, Epic Games confirmed the Fortnite World Cup Finals will not be affected by the start of Season 10 and will indeed take place during Season 9. “That date is wrong – World Cup Finals will be in Season 9,” Fortnite Battle Royale Season 9 hasn’t kicked off yet, but it appears that it will likely end just one day before the start of the Fortnite World Cup, possibly creating a host of issues for those competing at the tournament. Seasons are one of the ways that Epic Games attempt to keep their popular battle royale title fresh, using the start of a new season to introduce new items and locations on the map, alongside a theme for the event. These changes can often have a huge impact on the game and the prevailing meta, and with the start date for Season 9 now seemingly locked in, it’s possible to estimate when it will end, with the answer providing a concerning possibility for those competing in the World Cup Finals. When does Fortnite Season 9 start? With Fortnite Season 8 confirmed to have 10 challenge weeks, we can expect that it will come to an end on Thursday, May 9. Epic Games have already started to add files linked to the final event of Season 8, with popular locations like Tilted Towers and Retail Row seemingly set for complete destruction at the hands of the monstrous volcano which sits in the north-east corner of the map. When will Fortnite Season 9 end, and Season 10 start? With that in mind, we can have a fairly accurate guess at when Season 9 will end, which also gives us some insight into when Fortnite Season 10 will kick off. Assuming that Season 9 will run for the usual 10 weeks of challenges, it would be scheduled to end on Thursday, July 25, just one day prior to the kick off of the Fortnite World Cup. Season 10 and the Fortnite World Cup With Fortnite Season 9 penciled in to finish on July 25, pro players who have qualified for the Fortnite World Cup could find themselves in an extremely difficult situation, especially if Epic Games make lots of changes to the game. Pros could find that one of their go-to weapons may have been vaulted, their typical landing spot removed or replaced, or a new item introduced to the game becomes so powerful that it becomes part of the prevailing meta, like the Infinity Blade back in Season 7, or The Baller in Season 8. These massive changes could cost Fortnite Battle Royale players the chance to stake a bigger claim to a portion of the $30 million prize pool that is on the line at the World Cup, so it’s possible that Epic Games may choose to lengthen Season 9 in an attempt to avoid this situation and the ire of those competing at the tournament.

  • Will Fortnite return to iOS in Season 5? Epic launches new Apple lawsuit – Dexerto

Will Fortnite return to iOS in Season 5? Epic launches new Apple lawsuit Epic GamesFortnite could be making a return to iPhones, iPads, and other Apple devices in 2020, just in time for Season 5. Epic has launched a new lawsuit against Apple in Australia in the hopes of getting the game put back on the Apple App Store before Christmas. Epic and Apple’s feud over Fortnite and in-app purchases has now spilled across international borders. While initial lawsuits were lodged in the United States back in August 2020, Epic has now filed a new case in Australia. It comes in a late bid to see Fortnite return to the Apple App Store in Season 5, which launches on December 4, as well as before the big Christmas boom. Today we took legal action in the Federal Court of Australia to end Apple’s App Store monopoly and make digital platforms fairer. We’re extending the fight to Australia where the impact of Apple’s anti-competitive policies is among the highest in the world https://t.co/h6YLXOhrcH — Epic Games Newsroom (@EpicNewsroom) November 17, 2020 Epic filed the Australian lawsuit against Apple on November 18. The Fortnite developer alleges “Apple’s conduct in its App Store is a misuse of market power,” and by doing so, the App Store operator is breaching Australian Consumer Law. “This is much bigger than Epic versus Apple – it goes to the heart of whether consumers and creators can do business together directly on mobile platforms or are forced to use monopoly channels against wishes and interests,” Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney said in a press release. The Australian Consumer Law states that corporations with substantial power in a market “must not engage in conduct…substantially lessening competition.” It also states that companies can’t engage in “exclusive dealing,” effectively stopping monopolies in the market. Epic alleges the Apple App Store has imposed “an absolute monopoly on distribution,” crippling the market. Apple is yet to respond to the Australian lawsuit. What does this Epic v Apple lawsuit mean for Fortnite players? The lawsuit lodged in the Federal Court of Australia could mean Fortnite players on iOS devices might be greeted with an early return to the game. With less than two weeks out from Fortnite Season 5, it’s unlikely Epic and Apple will be able to resolve the dispute before the start of the season. However, a mid-season return before the end of 2020 or nearing the start of 2021 is still on the cards. While the lawsuit was lodged in Australia, it’s likely the judgment will have an impact on the global market. No matter where you play Fortnite from, you could be able to jump back on your iPhone or iPad and start again very soon.

  • Will Fortnite pros and streamers ever get exclusive skins? – Dexerto

Will Fortnite pros and streamers ever get exclusive skins? Graphics: Epic GamesEpic Games appear to have responded to calls for professional players should receive custom skins after qualifying for the Fortnite World Cup, and it might not be the answer fans were expecting. The game developers have introduced a number of customized cosmetics that appear to be inspired by Twitch streamers, such as Dr Disrespect, Ninja, and even Summit1g, but members of the game’s online community about whether or not pro players will get their hands on an exclusive skin of their own in the future. However, it seems that they aren’t quite ready to pull the trigger on making it a regular thing, if comments from Ghost Gaming’s Aydan Conrad is anything to go off. The Fortnite professional claims to have asked the question directly to Epic Games, in the hopes that players in the future may be awarded with some bonus content as a reward for success in the competitive scene, but it appears as if the proposition wasn’t met with the warmest of responses. “I got a chance to talk to Epic in person before and I brought this up,” he tweeted on June 13, responding to another user who was curious about the situation. “They just don’t mess with Exclusive skins,” Aydan confirmed. I got a chance to talk to Epic in person before and I brought this up and they just don’t mess with Exclusive skins. — Aydan, Taker of Walls (@aydan) June 13, 2019 Whether or not this is an accurate representation of their answer to the question is unknown, but the effort of producing custom cosmetics for each and every player that qualified for the Fortnite World Cup is perhaps a step too far for the developer. Special skins might be something that players and fans of pros were hoping for, but for now at least, it looks like a very slim chance that it will come to fruition any time soon. The best they can probably hope for is another skin to be released that may look like them.

  • Will Fortnite Battle Royale ever add a first person mode? Video shows what it would look like – Dexerto

Will Fortnite Battle Royale ever add a first person mode? Video shows what it would look like FaZe Clan’s Avery ‘Avxry’ Lopriore has shown a what traditional build fight in Fortnite would look like if it was in first person view. Fortnite Battle Royale is played exclusively in third person, however in the Save the World mode, you have the option to activate first person. While in this view, you cannot see your weapon, but you can build, exactly like how you would build in the battle royale mode. Avxry, a content creator for FaZe Clan, best known as a Fortnite streamer and YouTuber, has used this first person option in Save the World to simulate what a traditional build fight might look like. The biggest advantage of third-person is of course the extra periphal vision, granting the ability to see over walls and around corners without exposing your character. As for building, a fundamental component of Fortnite, first person certainly looks like it would be more difficult with the restricted field of view. How a Fortnite build battle would look in First Person POV pic.twitter.com/HyWVOxjeZe — FaZe Avery (@Avxry) October 1, 2018 Although first person certainly looks playable, if it was implemented it would certainly have to be implemented in a similar way to PUBG, with a separate playlist, as third person is clearly superior in regard to building and awareness. Another YouTuber, Max Box, created a full video of what Fortnite Battle Royale would look like in first person, including weapons, shooting, looting and building. Epic Games has never made any mention of the potential for first person in battle royale, but that doesn’t mean they are not considering it. The fact that it is already programmed in the game for Save the World is a boost too. One possibility could be a Limited Time Mode (LTM) with first person enabled. Epic has used LTM’s in the past to test out various features, such as faster closing storms or weapon/equipment restrictions.

  • Will Apple’s iOS 14 update delete Fortnite? Epic warns against download – Dexerto

Will Apple’s iOS 14 update delete Fortnite? Epic warns against download Epic GamesEpic Games has issued a warning to all Fortnite players currently considering downloading Apple’s new iOS 14 update: the recently released Sep. 16 upgrade could actually delete the battle royale from your handheld device “forever.” Last week, Apple dropped one of its biggest iOS updates ever. The operating system upgrade, called iOS 14, brought home screen customization, widgets, and more to iPhones and iPads. You may want to hold off on downloading it just yet though if you’re an avid Fortnite player — according to Epic Games, if you install the iOS 14 update, there’s a good chance you’ll “lose access to Fortnite” forever. “If Apples’ message ‘Temporarily Remove Apps to Install the Software Update?’ is accepted, it may result in Fortnite being deleted,” Epic Games warned on Sep. 23. “Fortnite cannot later be installed due to Apple preventing users from doing so.” It is unclear if this is simply a run-on effect of the iOS 14 update, or if Apple has gone out of their way to wipe Fortnite from all active handheld devices. Fortnite iOS players updating to iOS 14 may lose access to Fortnite. If the message “Temporarily Remove Apps to Install the Software Update?” is accepted, it may result in Fortnite being deleted. Fortnite cannot later be reinstalled due to Apple preventing users from doing so. — Fortnite Status (@FortniteStatus) September 23, 2020 Now, Fortnite fans are faced with a tough decision; keep the world-famous battle royale on their phones, or update to Apple’s flashy new iOS 14 update. There’s a way, luckily enough, to keep both after the operating system upgrade. You just need to follow a few workaround steps, and you can get the best of both worlds — the Fortnite app won’t be wiped, but the iOS 14 update will still be installed, along with all its brand-new features. Here’s how: How to stop Fortnite being deleted during iOS 14 update When the “Temporarily Remove Apps” request appears, press ‘Cancel.’ – Go to Settings > General > iPhone storage. – Clear out unwanted apps, music, and videos. – Return to the iOS 14 update download screen, in “Software Update.” – Re-run the iOS 14 update. The “Remove Apps” request will no longer appear. – Epic’s public warning is just the latest twist in a long-running saga between the Fortnite devs and Apple, which has spilled out into multiple legal battles. Earlier this month, Epic actually demanded Apple put Fortnite back on the iOS app store, after it was revealed the battle royale had suffered a 60 percent decline in active users. Apple chose to decline the publisher’s request, however. Fortnite was first removed from the Apple app store on August 13. Epic Games is currently suing the global technology company, calling them “fearmongers” who have “built up too much power in the handheld gaming industry.”

  • Wilde Fortnite Season 9 starter pack leaked following v9.10 patch – Dexerto

Wilde Fortnite Season 9 starter pack leaked following v9.10 patch Epic Games / HYPEX, xkleinmikexDataminers have uncovered a brand new Wilde starter pack for Fortnite Battle Royale, which would replace the current Laguna pack which was introduced in Season 8. The files were found following the v9.10 patch which went live on May 22, introducing a number of major changes to the game, including the arrival of Hot Spots, details of a Jordan collaboration, among other things. Thanks to leakers @HYPEX and @xkleinmikex, it appears we can take a sneak peak at the next start park for the game. If the potentially leaked information is to be believed, it would see a new skin and Back Bling arrive in the game’s store, and would grant buyers some V-Bucks for purchasing it – as we have come to expect. The new Wilde starter pack isn’t yet available for Fortnite Battle Royale players to buy, but its expected predecessor came with 600 V-Bucks, which will presumably be an unchanged feature of the pack. There will be a brand new backpack Back Bling, if the leak is to be believed, and the new skin will be unlike anything the game has so far. The next addition to the popular battle royale game appears to be a female character sporting spiked accessories, such as knee pads, with a knife on her back. If this new pack is to be added by Epic Games, players can expect the old starter pack to be removed from the store. So, if you would like to pick up the Laguna set, now is probably the time to do so before it becomes unavailable. It’s also worth noting that these new cosmetics are still unconfirmed, so should be taken with a pinch of salt until official announcements are made by the game’s developer, even if these leakers have successfully revealed many features ahead of schedule in the past.

  • WILDCAT and BasicallyIDoWrk discover a Fortnite glitch that makes you completely invisible – Dexerto

WILDCAT and BasicallyIDoWrk discover a Fortnite glitch that makes you completely invisible Popular Twitch streamers WILDCAT and BasicallyIDoWrk have found a crazy Fortnite glitch that allows you to become completely invisible. The pair were playing duos games together on the new Fortnite Season 6 update, when they came across the hilarious glitch. In a video uploaded to Twitter by WILDCAT, all we can see is a floating bucket of popcorn throwing random pieces in the air, as Tyler’s character is completely invisible. Both WILDCAT and BasicallyIDoWrk find this discovery hilarious, with both men laughing hysterically as popcorn rains down on Tyler’s invisible character. “It’s just a floating bucket of popcorn!” giggles WILDCAT, while BasicallyIDoWrk struggles to keep composure in the background. WILDCAT’s Twitter followers clearly found the moment as funny as the two YouTubers, with responses like “This is hilarious” and “That is too funny!” flying in. So uh…Me and @BasicallyIDoWrk have discovered a glitch. We are permanently invisible… *NOTE* We are NOT killing players or winning games using this. Just getting reactions. #Fortnite #Season6 pic.twitter.com/Sp1o4JCzFO — Tyler (@I_AM_WILDCAT) September 27, 2018 Neither WILDCAT or BasicallyIdoWrk have revealed how the glitch actually works, in an attempt to stop people using it for nefarious means. However, it’s safe to assume that Epic Games will be working to remove this glitch as quickly as possible. This latest glitch was found in Fortnite’s Season 6 update that went live on Thursday, September 27. Included in the update are Shadow Stones, which are actually intended to turn the user invisible, along with pets that follow you around, and new music packs.

  • Wild Fortnite theories suggest game could last forever – Dexerto

Wild Fortnite theories suggest game could last forever Epic GamesFortnite’s been going strong for the past seven years, and many fans believe the iconic battle royale from Epic Games may even last forever. Fortnite debuted in July 2017 with Save the World, a tower defense cooperative experience. While that mode caught a few players, it wasn’t until September 2017 that Epic Games’ title reached new heights with its Battle Royale mode. Since then, seven years to be exact, Fortnite has become a genre-defining titan, setting the standard for the live service industry. Every few months, new seasons debut, and new content updates drop nearly every week, keeping fans heavily engaged. With how dominant Fortnite’s run has been since it arrived, fans have been debating how long Epic Games can keep the title supported. In a post shared to the game’s subreddit, one player proposed the idea of whether or not Fortnite could truly last forever. Of course, they clarified not exactly forever, but they presented their case on what Fortnite presents that could keep it going for a long time. “As long as they keep applying lots of updates which they will. And keep adding fan-favorite collaboration skins to the game and keep up the storyline very well, I think they will be very successful for the next 20-30 years,” the fan claimed. The most balanced take came from this reply: “Financially, it’s very possible for Epic, their profits are through the roof every quarter. Creatively, however, I definitely see them running out of ideas in the next five to ten years, although I could be wrong.” However, plenty of responses came in rebutting the idea of Fortnite running out of creativity given the game’s open structure, Epic Games’ could do literally anything. Other replies were hopeful the game lasts for collector’s sake. “I think I speak for the 400+ skin locker folks. I hope so, otherwise what a waste of money,” one player jested. Others believed that Epic Games’ work via collaborations could further extend the game’s long-standing existence. Fortnite is currently in the midst of Chapter 5 Season 2, introducing the legends of Greek mythology to the battle royale, proving that nearly everything functions in Epic Games’ larger-than-life title.

  • Wild Fortnite glitch is making players headless – Dexerto

Wild Fortnite glitch is making players headless Epic Games[jwplayer kjbLNSko]Fortnite players are usually quick to call upon the Epic Games development team to fix bugs and glitches, but this new one might be so funny it could be worth keeping in the game. As seasoned veterans of the battle royale title will know by now, bugs can – at times – ruin the experience. Whether it be broken challenges, bugged weapons or items, the word “fun” isn’t usually used to describe them. However, don’t act too quickly and paint this new problem with the same brush. It might be the craziest thing that’s been discovered in Season 2. There’s a wide selection of skins available in Fortnite, with some being purchasable and others available to unlock in challenge rewards. Two of these outfits, however, have been seen to have some interesting issues. As seen in a clip from Reddit user iWumbo_23 below, when using two of this season’s Battle Pass skins, they glitch into an A shape. While this problem has been seen before, wait until you see what happens next – heads literally roll off. In what appears to be a visual problem in-game, the player can still move around, but opponents see them as either headless or nearly headless – depending on where they move to. Any sudden jolts can cause serious problems. Now, you might be wondering whether or not this bug stops others from being able to headshot you while you’re running around. Although not confirmed, it’s highly unlikely that this is the case – but do feel free to try it. That certainly would be an exploit, at that point. At the time of writing, the bug hasn’t been noted on Fortnite’s official Trello board as something to be fixed soon.

  • Wild Fortnite Chapter 3 trick uses trees to fast travel across water – Dexerto

Wild Fortnite Chapter 3 trick uses trees to fast travel across water Epic GamesA wild technique for fast traveling in Fortnite has been found thanks to Chapter 3 changes that make trees the best way to rotate across the water. Every Fortnite player is relearning the battle royale since Epic Games introduced a completely new map with updated movement skills and in-game bosses like The Foundation. Along with the update, the devs added a new kind of tree that players can harvest materials from. Overall, it looks like a pretty mundane feature until you need a quick way to get across bodies of water. There are gigantic pine trees in Fortnite Chapter 3 that can be physically chopped down to an in-game object. It behaves unlike other types of timber in the game and players have been making use of the new feature. Fortnite Chapter 3 trees trick Reddit user ‘HaYouGotRekTed’ chopped down one of these trees near Logjam Lumberyard when it dropped down to the lake nearby. That’s when the player mounted the trunk to collect its precious mats. That’s when the downed wood started to move as the Redditor was hacking away at it from the top. “Using the new trees you can travel across water quickly,” the player said. Once HaYouGotRekTed turned up their camera, you could see the tree moving across the water like a torpedo. It’s unclear if this is an intended mechanic for Fortnite Chapter 3’s new trees, but there’s already a ton of people liking the change. Fortnite couldn’t believe the scenes they were witnessing but were excited to try it out in their games. “I’m just gonna be playing a normal match when all of a sudden a log going 200km/h flies over my head,” one person said. “This season is gonna be fun.”

  • Ghost Arm’s Wife Makes Amazing Tilted Towers Lightbox – Dexerto

Ghost Arm’s Wife Makes Amazing Tilted Towers Lightbox The Fortnite Twitch streamer and YouTuber who posted a 15 kill solo win with only one arm is back with another video, this time showing off the incredible Tilted Towers lightbox his wife built. Ghost Arm had made waves recently on the Fortnite subreddit, where his posts inspire all types of gamers. This time it was his wife’s work that took center stage with an intricately detailed, LED lightbox based on Fortnite. The box was created from 13 individual layers, all hand carved with a hobby knife. Prominently featured in the front of the box is Ghost Arm’s logo and the light show can be controlled remotely. Ghost Arm talked about the special meaning the lightbox has to him and why his wife chose that design. “If I’m into something [my wife] will make something to go along with it. Once I got into Fortnite she was like, ‘Yeah, can make you a Fortnite one and we can make it on Tilted Towers’… I got my highest kill game dropping in Tilted, so it’s definitely really special.” Ghost Arm notes that his streams and videos are a partnership between the couple, as his wife creates all the graphics and helps out with video editing. The Twitch streamer first gained popularity after the video of his impressive solo victory went viral. In his post on the 15 kill effort, Ghost Arm explains the main reason for his channel. I’m always hoping to inspire people like me, or just anyone. You can do great things if you just push yourself, don’t let YOU be your biggest limitation.

  • Why was TSM ZexRow so angry with Aimhero_o at ESL Katowice Royale? – Dexerto

Why was TSM ZexRow so angry with Aimhero_o at ESL Katowice Royale? ZexRow/ESLThe Fortnite ESL Katowice Royale event operated with plenty of controversy as player’s encountered problem after problem in-game. However, one point that stuck out was the beef between Team SoloMid’s Anthony ‘ZexRow’ Colandro and Jeong ‘Aimhero_o’ Hyun-chul of OP Gaming over landing spots. ZexRow, playing alongside his partner Vinny1x, led the Duos portion of the event after the first day and headed into day two with a hefty points lead. However, the TSM pair, widely recognized as one of the best in the world, were immediately under fire from the Korean squad of AimHero and his partner Park ‘FaxFox’ Sung-Bin as they began heading to the same landing as the North American team, Viking Village, where they had been alone for the prior games. After going back-and-forth for the majority of the second day over the spot, the TSM boys eventually lost their top spot and fell down the standings. In since-deleted tweets, ZexRow accused the Korean team of ‘griefing’ for contesting his squad’s main landing spot. The Korean also received some hate from fans for continuing to test ZexRow and his partner Vinny. He used Twitter to explain his team’s thinking, dropping at Viking Village because of how free the TSM pair had the area – not that they were griefing or any of the other accusations thrown their way. I acted strategically, and I don’t know why you upset, but we just admitted we lost and acted to win. If you have a problem with this and you really think so, I apologize.@TSM_ZexRow — AimHero_o(에임히어로) (@AimHero_o) March 3, 2019 In a further since-deleted tweet, ZexRow did step in to tell his fans to stop being ‘toxic’ towards Aimhero, while jokingly stating that he was the only one allowed to be ‘toxic’ with the situation. After receiving further tweets about what had happened, Aimhero later stated that he had studied TSM while rising through the ranks of professional Fortnite, and had no intention to grief them. I studied with Tsm Clan the first time I played this game, and I don’t have any ill feelings for them. #TSMWIN @TOPWIN — AimHero_o(에임히어로) (@AimHero_o) March 3, 2019 ZexRow has since apologized for his outburst that had caused the Korean pro to receive an large amount of criticism from fans of the player and the organization he represents. He tweeted: “Ok, so obviously I took it to far and got way too upset but you guys would understand if you were in my position. “I just need to stop making impulsive tweets so don’t expect any more drama.” Ok so obviously I took it to far and got way too upset but you guys would understand if you were in my position… I just need to stop making impulsive tweets so don’t expect anymore drama  — ZexRow (@TSM_ZexRow) March 4, 2019 A number of pros also weighed in on the drama by speaking out about the idea of players ‘owning’ a certain landing spot. Counter Logic Gaming’s Nick ‘Marksman’ Overtown tweeted that he had contested Team Liquid’s Noah ‘Vivid’ Wright at Junk Junction in an earlier event, but apologized for doing so. However, his apology was in vain as Vivid explained that he, or anybody, doesn’t ‘own’ a landing spot because it’s a battle royale game. Seeing some drama about “”owning”” landing spots Little story: I felt bad contesting @VividFN at Junk in the SS and I apologized to him after the games. He told me to never apologize for landing with him or others. He doesn’t own that spot. No one can.Nothing is free in a BR. — CLG Marksman (@Marksman) March 3, 2019 Team Liquid’s Jake ‘Poach’ Brumleve replied to that tweet, stating: “There is no such thing as owning a spot. However, earning a spot is. Learning when to leave/try something new is important. Otherwise, you are just ruining each other’s games.” There is no such thing as owning a spot. However earning a spot is, learning when to leave/ try something new is important. Otherwise you are just ruining each other’s games. — POACH (@LiquidPoach) March 3, 2019 ZexRow may have since apologized to his fellow pro, but the battle over landing spots is sure to continue into the next Fortnite events – especially the highly lucrative World Cup. Wheter or not Epic Games steps in to make a ruling on the early gameplay in competitive Fortnite remains to be seen. However, pros could always go the Call of Duty route and make gentlemen agreements on who will land where and whatnot.

  • Why the New ‘Sniper and Clinger’ Meta in Fortnite is So Deadly – Dexerto

Why the New ‘Sniper and Clinger’ Meta in Fortnite is So Deadly Anyone who has played Fortnite long enough will know that the game is usually dominated by the weapon loadout that is considered to be the “meta” at the time. While Epic Games is always adjusting weapons and items to balance out these metas, there are always several combinations that give players the upper hand during gunfights. One meta that has quickly proven to be extremely deadly involves the use of Clinger Grenades and the new Heavy Sniper Rifle. Putting this loadout to use is simple; in a build-fight, the player must first throw the Clinger at one of the enemy’s built structures, and then use the Heavy Sniper to destroy that specific structure before the Clinger explodes. The reason why this meta is such an advantage to use is because once the structure is destroyed, the Clinger grenade, by default, will detonate early. This then leads the damage caused by the explosion to longer focus on the structure the Clinger was attached to, but rather whatever is in the space behind it, which would usually be the enemy player. Here is a demonstration of this meta in action, courtesy of Fortnite YouTuber ‘MonsterDface.’ As you can see in the clip, the Heavy Sniper Rifle is the preferred weapon of choice to partner up with the Clinger because it can inflict great damage to structures, destroying them in just one shot. – A full breakdown of this new meta, along with steps on how to master it, the best scenarios to use it in, and more, can be viewed in MonsterDface’s video down below, or by visiting his YouTube channel here.

  • Why the Fortnite Battle Pass is still worth it despite controversial exclusivity change – Dexerto

Why the Fortnite Battle Pass is still worth it despite controversial exclusivity change Fortnite/DexertoDespite Epic Games’ decision to end Battle Pass exclusivity, the Fortnite Battle Pass is still a “96% off” sale. Epic Games announced that future Fortnite Battle Pass items might appear in the Item Shop in August 2024. This move breaks a long-standing tradition where Battle Pass cosmetics – skins, backblings, and emotes – remained exclusive to their season. Historically, if you missed a Battle Pass item, it was gone forever. Now, with an ever-expanding Item Shop, Epic even launched a dedicated website, making it easier than ever to purchase cosmetics without logging into Fortnite. Despite the uproar, one math-savvy player crunched the numbers and concluded that the Battle Pass still offers tremendous value. They posted their process and results on Reddit. “I did the calculations,” they shared. “Even without exclusivity, you’re getting nearly $250 worth of items for just 950 V-bucks.” The player noted that this estimate doesn’t even account for items typically not sold individually, like loading screens and emoticons. “Even if these skins appear later, you’re essentially getting a 96% discount.” This player’s analysis highlights another key point: the Battle Pass pays for itself over time. “You get 150% of your V-bucks back,” they explained. “For $9, you can keep getting every Battle Pass until Fortnite stops making them.” This incredible value has many players undeterred by the change. One fan stated, “I get it for free every season. Even if the Battle Pass was full of garbage, I’d still buy it for the extra V-bucks.” As a latecomer to Fortnite, I can’t help but feel a bit envious of those who snagged skins like Toona Fish or the classic Peely in past seasons. However, the new non-exclusivity system ensures no player feels left out moving forward. You can grab current Chapter 5 Season 4 skins, like Gwenpool, War Machine, and Doom, for 950 V-bucks, or wait to pay 2000-2500 V-bucks for each in 18 months. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is in full swing, with new Marvel Easter Eggs and a leveling glitch that helps you maximize your Battle Pass EXP.

  • Why Tfue and Cloak may not stream Fortnite FNCS Week 2 – Dexerto

Why Tfue and Cloak may not stream Fortnite FNCS Week 2 Fortnite pro Khanada has been banned which might end up preventing both Dennis ‘Cloak‘ Lepore and Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney from streaming the second week of the FNCS. Twitch has a policy where streamers aren’t allowed to have other banned streamers appear on their streams. This rule was put to the test when Khanada had fellow pro Zayn appear on his stream, which resulted in a three-day ban. He even says he had Zayn muted so his audio wouldn’t come through on the broadcast, but the ban was still handed out. Zayn was banned for a third time on October 29, making this one indefinite. He claims he was watching streamers on another account, which Twitch found out about so they dinged him for ban evasion. Woke up to being banned on twitch for the third time. For evading a site wide or channel suspension? Uhm. Ban is indefinite again not sure what to do anymore obviously twitch wants me off their site cant do much about it anymore. Lowkey really want to take a lawsuit against them. — Zayn (@ZaynSzns) October 29, 2019 Oh cus i was watching streams on another account while i was banned on twitch smh. Didnt stream once but now they bring it to the attention two weeks after my ban and of course its indefinite like the last two bans lol. Lowkey actually really feeling a lawsuit no cap. Shit is bs — Zayn (@ZaynSzns) October 29, 2019 This untimely ban of Khanada couldn’t have a really come at a worse time as it could end up having a major impact on two of the biggest Fortnite streamers out there in Tfue and Cloak. The two former FaZe Clan pros compete in the FNCS with Liquid Fiber and Khanada as a teammate, and now that Khanada has been banned, they won’t be able to stream their games if they want to remain unbanned from Twitch. The FNCS weekends usually result in a monster view count for Tfue on Twitch, so having him potentially miss the event entirely due to this ban would be huge. Of course, the squad will still be able to compete but it’s sounding like nobody will be able to stream the event now thanks to this ban. Unless Twitch overturns this ban, it seems likely that this will be the case. Tfue hasn’t said much about his plans but did express some anger and disappointment on Twitter. If this squad isn’t able to stream, that won’t take away the sheer talent they have as they finished in fifth place for Week 1 and will be looking to improve upon that for the next week. It’s not the end of the world if they miss a stream for a weekend, it just means viewers will have to find somebody else to watch instead.

  • Why is there so much hype surrounding the Minty Pickaxe in Fortnite? – Dexerto

Why is there so much hype surrounding the Minty Pickaxe in Fortnite? The Fortnite community has been overwhelmed with hype for the brand new Merry Mint Pickaxe, after Epic Games‘ latest release immediately became one of the rarest collectors items due to its absence from the battle royale’s in-game item shop. The limited-edition cosmetic was first added to Fortnite in the v11.10 update on October 29, alongside a number of Fortnitemare releases like the Storm King LTM and the Haunted Forest map, as well as new skins, gliders, back blings, and more. Nothing has grabbed the community’s collective eye quite like the Minty Pickaxe, however, especially considering the only way to collect one of the festive items is to buy a Fortnite-branded product from selected GameStop stores across the United States. America isn’t the only place the festive candy-cane weapon can be found though, with Epic confirming that selected retailers across Europe would also be handing out the codes for the pickaxe like Christmas candy. “Select retailers in the US, United Kingdom, France, and Germany will include a gift code for an in-game Merry Mint Pickaxe free with any purchase of an officially licensed Fortnite product while supplies last,” the devs confirmed in a blog post. Unfortunately, Epic has yet to mention exactly which European retailers will be stocking the bonus item, leaving avid Fortnite gamers to figure it out on their own. There has also been no confirmation the item will be arriving on Australian shores. No official information has been given regarding which exact products will have the gift code bundled with them, though the upcoming Darkfire pack is likely to be a good bet. Fortnite figurines and the new Nerf line could also cough up the rare codes. The “refreshingly festive” item has been confirmed to arrive in-game on Wednesday, November 6 — one day after the Darkfire bundle drops — meaning if you’ve already activated your promotional code you should find the candy-cane pickaxe in your inventory on that date. The Minty-collectible also isn’t the first cosmetic the battle royale community has chased either, with skins like the Recon Expert, the Ghoul Tropper, and Codename E.L.F all spending more than 600 days out of the store, with some still not sighted in 2019. Read more: Tfue dominates FNCS with insane RPG clutch – This new seasonal pickaxe also looks set to join an elite group of cosmetics including the Piledriver, the Throttle, and ‘Spiky,’ all of which spent around a year out of the title’s in-game store as Epic let the hype build around the old items. For now, though, all eyes are on the Merry Mint Pickaxe, in all its green-glowy candy cane glory, and rightfully so — having to undertake a real-life quest to collect an item makes it even more special when you finally start swinging with it in-game. So have you got the pickaxe yet? Or are you still waiting for the perfect time to head in-store and get your hands on the festive item?

  • Why Ninja doesn’t want the new leaked assault rifle added in Fortnite – Dexerto

Why Ninja doesn’t want the new leaked assault rifle added in Fortnite Star streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins doesn’t think it would be a good idea for developers Epic Games to add the newly leaked Scoped Assault Rifle in Fortnite Chapter 2. Following the release of v11.20 update on November 20, two weapons were leaked to be coming soon to Fortnite – the AK-47-esque assault rifle known as the Heavy AR and its longer-range counterpart, the Scoped AR. Both weapons have previously featured in Fortnite at some point during the first ten seasons, but if the leaks are true, then the two weapons would be added with all five rarities for the first time, as neither ever had a gold Legendary variant. Read More: Fortnite Risky Reels event leaked – When the Scoped AR was mentioned on Ninja’s stream, he quickly made it clear that he did not want the weapon to be added back, especially if it were going to include a gold version. “Ew, it didn’t need a buff, it was strong,” Ninja said. ” That’s a joke man. Bro, that is going to be so broken. Bro, there’s no movement! You can’t land on someone that is just holding you like that, you’re screwed.” According to the Mixer star, Epic adding the Scoped AR back would throw off the game’s balance. He contends that players will be to abuse the long-range weapon to pick off enemies left and right, and with there being almost no mobility options, it would be hard for people to escape the gun’s wrath. (Segment begins at 1:08 mark for mobile users) History of the Scoped AR in Fortnite With the Scoped AR receiving a texture make0ver in the v11.20 update, many believe that the weapon will be added back soon. Up to this point in Chapter 2, no weapons from the previous chapter have been returned, and the only new gun overall is the Harpoon Gun that was added several weeks ago. The Scoped AR made its debut in Fortnite all the way back in Season 1 and was kept in the game until the start of Chapter 2, when it and many other weapons were removed from the game. It was never considered an overpowered weapon by any means; in fact, during Season 7, its variants were reduced from Rare/Epic to Uncommon/Rare, and its base damage was increased by a couple of points during Season 8. It offers 100% accuracy when aiming down sights, and very little recoil overall, but the cons are that it fires too slow and cannot be viable at close range like other assault rifles.

  • Why is there a countdown in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4? – Dexerto

Why is there a countdown in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4? Epic GamesA mysterious countdown has appeared in the Fortnite lobby, but what does it mean? And what will happen at the end of the timer? We’ve got the answers. As Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 4 approaches its sure-to-be-explosive finale, a countdown has popped up on the game’s lobby background, leaving some players confused about what it could mean. Usually, these countdowns are pointing towards a big event of some sort, like the battle against Galactus or Ariana Grande’s Rift Tour concert – and surprise, surprise, that’s exactly the case here. Why is there a countdown timer in Fortnite? The countdown that has appeared in the Fortnite lobby is leading up to a season finale called Fracture. This will most likely be a playable experience featuring memorable moments for the game. While we don’t know too much about this live event just yet, Epic Games have teased that it will be an “otherworldly and unexpected social event” where “the fate of the Island” rests in players’ hands. This one-time-only live event will bring an end not only to Chapter 3 Season 4 but to Chapter 3 as a whole. That’s right, once this live event takes place, the game will be moving straight into Chapter 4. When does the Fortnite countdown end? The current Fortnite countdown is scheduled to end on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 1PM PT / 4PM ET / 9PM GMT. This is when the Fracture live finale event will begin. If you want to take part in the Fracture event, it’s recommended that you’re in the lobby 30 minutes before this time. You can play through the event solo or with a squad of up to four players.

  • Why is Fortnite’s map incredibly foggy since latest v7.20 patch? – Dexerto

Why is Fortnite’s map incredibly foggy since latest v7.20 patch? Fortnite players have noticed a significant change to the weather in Battle Royale, with fog obscuring their vision since the latest update. The most recent v7.20 patch notes from Epic Games didn’t announce the introduction of a new weather feature, leaving many fans confused about whether this is an intentional change or an annoying bug. In some parts of the map, players have had some difficulty seeing their opponents when they’re being fired at and claim to have been eliminated as a result. In a recent post to the Fortnite BR subreddit, RokitRide shared two particularly foggy images from Wailing Woods and Loot Lake – sparking a debate as to why the weather has changed in certain locations. “People were saying it was my TV or phone, so here are screenshots taken from PS4 directly” the Reddit user said. “Shifty Shacks is the worst in my opinion and I died because of this, as the player was on the mountain and I couldn’t even see him.” “It’s for the Ice Storm event” another user speculated. With the Ice Storm event in the works, which is being counted down on every television screen across the Fortnite map right now, there’s a possibility that this could be just another piece of that puzzle. We have already seen the new Snowfall challenges appear in the game, new skins revealed and a giant ice ball hang over the map so far. While an official announcement has not been made about the fog as of yet, there’s also a chance that these issues could be an in-game bug.

  • Here’s why Friday Fortnite has been cancelled until late September – Dexerto

Here’s why Friday Fortnite has been cancelled until late September KEEMSTARThe fan-favorite Friday Fortnite tournament series has been cancelled for at least a month, according to host and popular YouTuber Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem. Friday Fortnite have become a weekly tradition over the past couple of months, with fans taking a strong liking to watching their favorite streamers and pro players destroy public lobbies. However, the competition has been cancelled until September 27, with the August 16 running being the first casualty of this decision. This is due to a scheduling conflict a series of Trios tournaments that Epic Games themselves will be running, which will take place over the next five weeks. “Damn, Epic is doing Trio events for five weeks, so Friday Fortnite won’t return until September 27!!!” he tweeted. “Going to focus all my energy on Minecraft Monday for next five weeks.” Damn , Epic is doing Trio event for 5 weeks so #FridayFortnite won’t return till September 27th!!! Thus, many of the top content creators and pro players Keem needs to attract viewers understandably opt to play in the official competitions, leaving the YouTuber with no choice but to cancel his own. When Friday Fortnite was first created back in May of 2018, it ran for 10 consecutive weeks before Epic decided to kick off their Summer Skirmish, which led to Keem slamming the developers for trying to suppress his efforts. However, this time around, he’s taken a much more subtle approach in announcing the news, knowing that there will always be a mass of loyal viewers when his tournament returns. “When Friday Fortnite returns on September 27, it;s going to be huge due to the players’ and viewers’ love for the event,” he explained. “We stopped for a while year and came back pulling 11 million unique viewers weekly!” It’s doesn’t mater. • Why Fortnite’s BRUTE Mechs have been temporarily disabled [UPDATED] – Dexerto

Why Fortnite’s BRUTE Mechs have been temporarily disabled [UPDATED] Epic GamesUPDATE 8/31 3:06 PM PT On August 31, the official Fortnite Twitter confirmed that the controversial mech’s would be returning in core playlists and limited-time modes, but would remain absent from competitive, at least until next week. “The issue with the Air Stomp attack for the B.R.U.T.E has been resolved. They have been re-enabled in all core playlists and supported Limited Time Modes, but will remain disabled in competitive playlists until early next week.” The issue with the Air Stomp attack for the B.R.U.T.E has been resolved. They have been re-enabled in all core playlists and supported Limited Time Modes, but will remain disabled in competitive playlists until early next week. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) Fortnite Battle Royale on August 30, but there’s bad news for some players, as the change didn’t turn out to be permanent. There is no question that the BRUTE robot suits are arguably the most controversial addition Fortnite has ever seen, even more so than the Infinity Sword and Ballers. However, after some new developments on Saturday, players don’t have to worry about the terrorizing vehicles anymore, at least for a little while. On August 30, Epic Games announced that they had temporarily removed BRUTEs from all playlists, competitive and casual, due to some sort of issue with the Mech’s stop attack. Read More: Epic share more news on Turbo Building delay – “The B.R.U.T.E has been temporarily disabled from all playlists while we resolve and issue cause by its air stomp attack,” they tweeted. “We’re working to resolve this issue and will provide an update when we have more information.” The B.R.U.T.E. has been temporarily disabled from all playlists while we resolve an issue caused by its air stomp attack. We’re working to resolve this issue and will provide an update when we have more information. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) August 30, 2019 The air stomp attack allows players controlling a BRUTE to soar upwards and then come straight down with a crushing force on an enemy, dealing considerable amounts of damage. The move can also destroy anything that’s perishable or that can be farmed, but thanks to some nerfs that were recently implemented, it no longer grants materials from things that the Mech destroys. However, considering how strongly opposed most players are to these robots, it’s not hard to guess that many are hoping Epic just keep the flipped switched to off. The BRUTE Mech suits were first added in the popular battle royale title at the start of Season X, starting what has turned into quite the battle between the player-base and developers. At first, Epic stood their ground, even trying to inject sense into their decision by offering an explanation as to why they were keeping the vehicles in the game. But they ultimately decided to back down, implementing a series of nerfs that considerably toned down the damage potential of the Mechs, which ended up taking a backseat to the recent Turbo Building controversy anyway.

  • Why Fortnite players want “trash” vehicle challenges removed – Dexerto

Why Fortnite players want “trash” vehicle challenges removed Epic GamesFortnite players are getting frustrated with vehicle challenges, with some of them asking Epic Games to remove them from the popular battle royale entirely – here’s why. Vehicles have become a staple of Fortnite, and The Island wouldn’t be the same without them. Whether you want to cruise the roads in a car, take to the waters in a motorboat, or even zoom around the skies in a plane, you can do that (unless they get vaulted, that is). But while they may be fun to ride, they’re not necessarily going to help you win; there’s no respawning in Fortnite’s battle royale mode, so driving a noisy vehicle that will get the attention of all your opponents isn’t always the best idea. Despite this, vehicles often feature in the game’s challenges, which are essential to earn that all-important XP to help level up the Battle Pass – and it’s something players are getting frustrated with. Most recently, the Season 5 Week 7 legendary challenge requires players to ‘Damage Opponents in Vehicles’, with quite a few tiers to tick off. Completing this challenge in full requires a total of 2,500 damage to opponents in vehicles, which is no easy task. Read More: How to get the Predator skin in Fortnite – In a Reddit thread titled “Can we stop with the vehicle challenges please?” several Fortnite players have left comments airing their frustration about the constant vehicle-based quests and how hard they are to finish. “The vehicle challenges are absolute trash,” wrote one player, while another added: “The game’s just becoming more and more of a grind, the legendary challenges have been a joke this season.” The main problem people seem to have with vehicle challenges is that once they go live, no one wants to drive as they’ll become a target for other players wanting to complete the challenge. As a result, you have 100 players waiting to damage vehicles, and no one actually driving them. Besides this frustration, other players have argued that there aren’t enough vehicles located around the map to be able to complete the challenge in the first place, and to make matters worse, there are no vehicle-based LTMs to get easy damage in either. “Just this challenge existing means people are not going to drive vehicles as much because everyone is going to be waiting for someone else to get in a vehicle so that they can shoot them,” wrote one player. Another added: “I thought the mission was to deal damage WHILE riding in a vehicle. But since it’s to deal damage TO people in a vehicle, I’m thinking ‘Who the hell would make themselves a target like that?’” A third pointed out that many vehicles are riddled with bugs and glitches, which makes having to use them even more frustrating: “No one’s riding in them unless they have to because they’re really buggy currently.” Whether Epic will take heed of these concerns remains to be seen, although it seems unlikely right now. They did recently promise to ‘look into’ claims that the customizable superhero skin was “unfair” and effectively “pay-to-win” as it allowed players to hide at night, so they are definitely listening when needed.

  • Why haven’t Epic Games released the Fortnite Chapter 2 patch notes? – Dexerto

Why haven’t Epic Games released the Fortnite Chapter 2 patch notes? Epic GamesIt’s been over a day since Chapter 2 launched in Fortnite Battle Royale, and players are still left wondering why Epic Games haven’t released the official patch notes for the v11.00 update. The release of Fortnite Chapter 2 will undoubtedly go down as one of the most highly anticipated and hyped events in the history of gaming. After inexplicably turning off the game and ‘deleting’ every trace of its existence, Epic Games held the gaming world in limbo for over 36 hours, with their ‘The End’ event even being discussed on the news and shows like Good Morning America. However, when the game did get turned back on, there was something pretty major missing – the patch notes, which are yet to be posted as of October 16. This is a serious deviation from what Epic have done in the past, which is release the notes for virtually every patch and hotfix, even if they were minor. What’s more is that they went to all the trouble of making a web-page where the notes would normally have been included, and had almost nothing on it except this brief message: “Added: Chapter 2. Take your first drop and discover everything new.” That’s not to say that Epic didn’t post any information about Chapter 2, because they did release several trailers, images, descriptions explaining some of how the new things worked. However, there’s a big difference between what they did put out and an official list of patch notes, since the latter usually provides maximum details about every single change, whether big or small. As a result, despite all of what they did divulge, important info such as which weapons and items got added or vaulted, damage profiles for all of the new guns, breakdown of new mechanics, and many other things, got withheld, leaving everyone in the dark. Speaking of keeping everyone in the dark, that seems to be the theme behind this behavior from Epic, going all the way back to when The End happened to wrap up Season 10. Following the event, when the mysterious black hole took over the game, Epic didn’t say a word about what was going on, went dark on all of Fortnite’s social media pages, had their employees and representatives keep quiet, and basically forced the player-base to just blindly sit and wait for something to happen. This has continued even after Chapter 2 was launched, as the brand new map starts off in a dark and shadowed state for everyone when the first load in, with all of the location names replaced with question marks. Only after physically walking through and “discovering” the POIs do they then appear on the map. So for those wondering why Epic haven’t released the patch notes, it’s basically because they are so many new things and changes, that they want everyone to figure out and discover things on their own, creating a unique experience for all players. That does leave the door open for them to potentially release more detailed information about everything down the line, especially once the next competitive season begins, but for now go out and explore!

  • Prince Harry wants Fortnite banned and nobody seems to care – Dexerto

Prince Harry wants Fortnite banned and nobody seems to care Wikimedia Commons / Epic GamesPrince Harry has said that addictive games like Fortnite should be banned during an appearance at a charity event on Wednesday, April 3. Since its release in September 2017, the battle royale title has quickly become one of the most popular games in the world, with massive crossover appeal thanks its huge success on streaming platforms like Twitch. While the game may be loved by millions around the world, it appears that one member of the Royal Family is not a fan of Fortnite. Why does Prince Harry want Fortnite banned? Prince Harry made an appearance at a charity meeting in London on April 3 about the difficulties that young people faced, especially in terms of mental health and coming out and speaking about their issues. Prince Harry took aim at social media , saying it was “more addictive than drugs and alcohol, and more dangerous because it’s normalised,” and also had some strong words about Fortnite. “A game like Fortnite may not be so good for children,” Prince Harry told those in attendance. Parents have got their hands up; they don’t know what to do about it. “It’s like waiting for the damage to be done, and kids turning up on your doorsteps and families being broken down. Fortnite shouldn’t be allowed. Where is the benefit to having that game in your household? It’s created to addict. An addiction to keep you in front of a computer for as long as possible. It’s so irresponsible.” Who is Prince Harry and can he ban Fortnite in the UK? Prince Harry is the Duke of Sussex, and is the grandson of Queen Elizabeth, the reigning monarch in the United Kingdom. • Why does Ghost Gaming have so many pro Fortnite players? | The Fortnite Podcast Ep 60 – Dexerto

Why does Ghost Gaming have so many pro Fortnite players? | The Fortnite Podcast Ep 60 Ghost Gaming is one of the most prominent organizations in esports, especially when it comes to Fortnite Battle Royale, and most of their pro players have high status in the competitive community. The Ghost Gaming Fortnite pros have been tremendously successful in competitive tournaments, most recently at the $100,000 WSOE 3 event, where they had four representatives in the top 10. Their currently have a whopping total of 12 competitive players, including: Aydan, Bizzle, Kamo, Dmo, Enzo, Saf, Ghoul, Sean, Kayuun, Snood, Thwifo, and Issa. Out of all of the top-tier orgs, Ghost’s Fortnite team has the most players by far, and it’s why so many people are wondering why they’ve decided to stack their squad with so many pros. This was one of the topics discussed in Episode 60 of the renowned Fortnite Podcast featuring experts 2LoudTX and MonsterDFace, who had Ghost’s General Manager EsportROB as a special guest. 250On the podcast, Rob explained that Ghost’s recruitment led them to a group of players that were part of Fable Esports at the time, but Ghost managed to acquire the squad and form the basis for what they’ve built today. Ghost would soon start recruiting more players because they realized that as long as the players were good enough and placed well at events, their winnings would not only pay for themselves but also generate profit revenue for the org. A key to their growth was not judging potential recruits based on the success of their content creation but rather Fortnite ability, because they knew that if the players demonstrated high levels of skill, the content creation would come hand in hand with their in-game success. Rob then explained how their team started getting to 12 players, which was ultimately based on them finding consistent players that had high potential but were not being heavily courted. “So how it ended up to 12 man was realistically the investment made sense, we were doing great, and there’s so much talent on the global scale that we were also thinking about the World Cup, having representation for Ghost in some aspects, so that’s how Kamo and Issa came into play.” He also noted that a key factor in this decision was to have a large enough talent pool to choose from when it’s time to send players to competitive events. Ghost Gaming was one of several topics of discussion in Episode 60 of the Fortnite Podcast, along with a full breakdown of the WSOE tournament, both from the perspective of players and broadcast talent. • Why are Fortnite players calling for a ceasefire on December 2nd? – Dexerto

Why are Fortnite players calling for a ceasefire on December 2nd? Epic GamesOn December 2nd, Fortnite players have been requesting a ceasefire, which has caused confusion across the internet. As millions of fans anticipate the Chapter 4 ending The Big Bang live event, find out below the reasons for the ceasefire and everything you need to know. Fortnite players have returned to their original roots to relive their favorite memories on the Chapter 1 map thanks to Season OG. After playing through multiple chapters, players finally landed on OG POIs, such as Tilted Towers and Loot Lake and got the nostalgic touch they were hoping for. Now that The Big Bang live event is here, Season OG will come to a close, bringing with it a new Chapter 5 island and a live performance by rap legend Eminem. Even though there’s a lot of buzz about it, the internet can’t seem to wrap its head around a peculiar request made by some Fortnite players. For a live service Battle Royale game like Fortnite, the social media is now calling for a ceasefire in the game on December 2nd which is as out of the ordinary as they come. Here’s the reason behind this phenomenon and the actions taken by others. Fortnite players call for ceasefire to bid farewell to OG island Josh Samsoj, a renowned Fortnite TikToker, posted an Instagram video requesting that players cease fire on December 2nd, the final day of Season OG and the Chapter 1 map. As per the TikToker, players are gathering to observe the final day of the season by walking around the OG island in peace and harmony without eliminating any opposing players as part of a ceasefire. Since this comes off as a peaceful gesture, several players had their own thoughts to pitch in on the same. One fan said, “Make no mistake this will be the bloodiest day in Fortnite history”. Another chimed in, “We all finna get banned for teaming”. A third commented, “Nah, I’ll respect the map by wiping the (entire) lobby”. In an effort to rally additional players for a day of family-friendly content in the game, a number of alternative content creators published their own segments on social media platforms in support of the ceasefire. Another appeal for their followers to participate in the movement was made on TikTok by a user named Dylan Page. Fortnite Season OG concludes on December 2 and fans in their respective regions will witness the Big Bang live event. At this time, the player base is divided regarding the ceasefire as further info will be revealed at that time.

If one of the most popular players in the world is going nuts on social media I’m gonna cover it. This is how media works, have you ever seen the news? • Who is Grumpy Gran: The 75-year-old Fortnite sensation – Dexerto

Who is Grumpy Gran: The 75-year-old Fortnite sensation Grumpygran1948 / Epic GamesGrumpy Gran, a 75-year-old grandmother has wowed the Fortnite community after playing together with well-known streamer & YouTuber SypherPK. Despite being known to be filled with “sweaty” players, Fortnite has shown that just anyone can pick up the game and start grinding their way to victory. One prominent example is BushCampDad, a 51-year-old who managed to reach the highest rank in the game. However, recently, a 75-year-old Scottish grandmother has also proved that this take continues to be valid. Referred to as the “oldest Fortnite player in the world” by SypherPK, Grumpy Gran became a viral sensation after playing with the well-known streamer and YouTuber. So, how did Grumpy Gran end up enjoying Fortnite? Who inspired her to play? And how did she get noticed? Here’s everything you need to know. About Grumpygran1948: The viral Fortnite sensation Cath Bowie, also known as Grumpygran1948 on Twitch, has been playing Fortnite since week one in 2017 and streaming the game for over three years. It all started when she discovered Fortnite from her grandson, now 24, who played the game using PlayStation 4. After seeing the Battle Royale game for the first time on the screen, she immediately fell in love. “I can’t explain why, it’s just instant love,” she explained in a BBC interview. Grumpy Gran claimed that she’s a very “obtuse” person when asked about what made her start streaming. “My grandson said nobody would actually watch me, nobody would actually follow me, right? I said I’ll show ya. So, I did.” Another reason was that she was fed up with playing with “random squads,” which ultimately led her to come across “really nasty” players. Despite that, she kept playing the game. “I’ll see if I can get my own friends,” she told SypherPK. Now, grumpygran1948 has over 10k followers on Twitch. Her followers went through the roof after playing together with SypherPK. As quoted from BBC, she said that SypherPK reached out in chat and asked to duo with him. She answered, “And I just said, yes, of course instantly. Who wouldn’t?” Grumpy Gran and SypherPK’s stream together was dubbed as “wholesome” by players on social media, with some of them praising SypherPK for giving her this opportunity. • Who is EwOk? Deaf Fortnite streamer who became FaZe’s first trans star – Dexerto

Who is EwOk? Deaf Fortnite streamer who became FaZe’s first trans star Soleil ‘EwOk’ Wheeler is one of the most inspirational streamers in the Fortnite community. He joined the esports org at only 13, and that’s not even the most impressive feat – the teen did it all while deaf. EwOk’s success on Twitch and beyond has resulted in the accumulation of over 250,000 followers and even more on Instagram where he sits around 368,000. He is an anomaly in an ocean of wannabe pros and broadcasters across the globe. But where did he come from, and what does the future hold? EwOk is the first transgender star to join FaZe. Birth of a streamer Wheeler first had dreams of streaming and playing against pros like Ninja when he watched them compete against each other. In search of making dreams a reality, he started streaming on Twitch in October of 2018 after getting a gaming PC. EwOk was an obvious choice of gamer tag, as according to CNN, one of his four dogs looks like an Ewok from the legendary film series ‘Star Wars’. Like all streamers, EwOk started off small, with only three viewers watching him play at first. But as he kept with it, that number kept improving and growing, all while he racked up over 300 wins in Fortnite. But come March, everything was about to change. Wheeler was given a jersey by Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kurt Benkert. Rise to stardom On March 7, 2019, extremely popular Twitch icon Timothy ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar was coming off a long stream and decided to host the young deaf player, sending thousands of his viewers his way. Making the most of this opportunity, the teen kept playing to his now supersized audience and went from under 1000 followers on March 7 to just under 10,000 by March 10. From there, everything just snowballed. Positive media reaction, Twitter growth, everything. The internet was set ablaze by the fact that not only was a kid this young so good at Fortnite, but they were doing it all with a handicap. A few months later, EwOk’s Twitch account reached the 100,000 followers milestone. Not too bad for spending less than a year on the platform. EwOk teamed up with Atlanta Falcons backup quarterback Kurt Benkert at the Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am. It even reached a point where Atlanta Falcons backup quarterback Kurt Benkert (who had viewed EwOk’s stream during Tim’s host) teamed up with the young superstar at the Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am at The Forum in Los Angeles. While the two didn’t win, it was Ewok’s first-ever offline event and a sign of things to come. Making FaZe history On July 27, 2019, it was revealed that Ewok was recruited to FaZe Clan as the group’s first-ever female star prior to his transition in 2020. FaZe co-founder Ricky Banks announced the news with a welcome Tweet, officially marking esports history. “Welcome to FaZe, you’re incredible, you inspire me,” Banks tweeted, revealing EwOk’s recruitment. “First girl ever in FaZe. I’m glad we held out this long. You’re perfect.” Shortly after, the growing star posted a Twitter video where he revealed the good news using sign language. “I wanted to really jump into that and make history,” he then told CNN. Does being deaf affect how he plays? EwOk has revealed that despite being deaf, Fortnite has an internal sound visualizer that may even give him an edge. “The sound visualizer has been very helpful and it allows me to play on the same level, although there are a few sounds that are still missing in it,” Wheeler told ESPN. “Overall, it allows me to be just as good as other players, if not better. I compensate the inability to hear chat by texting in chats and signing in video chats.” Here’s the guy who changed my life when he hosted me. Thank you so much @timthetatman Finally got a chance to meet you and thank you in person. #tatmanarmy forever!!! pic.twitter.com/qlFna1yNH9 — FaZe EwOk (@Ewok) June 17, 2019 And the Twitch community has been very accepting. “Some of the popular streamers knew I was deaf, so they waved on the screen and typed in chat to reply to me. Some of them even learned how to sign,” she said. What’s more, is the teen can also use his inability to hear as a sick burn against game developers. When the community was up in arms over the BRUTE Mech controversy, he mentioned Fortnite, saying, “Please do something I haven’t been able to do since birth. Listen.” Considering all this happened in just one year, there’s no telling what year two of EwOk’s streaming career has in store for us.

  • Where to visit Skye’s Coastal Campsites for Fortnite Week 7 challenge – Dexerto

Where to visit Skye’s Coastal Campsites for Fortnite Week 7 challenge Fortnite’s Season 2, Week 7 challenges are now live, and as part of the Skye’s Adventures set, players need to find and visit three of the agent’s Coastal Campsites. Here’s everything you need to know to make this challenge as easy as possible. Fortnite Week 7 kicked off with the v12.30 Update, which introduced two new items in the form of the Kingsman umbrella melee weapon, and Crash Pads which can be thrown at the ground to avoid taking fall damage. Of course, a new week means a brand-new set of challenges, and Epic Games have added 10 new tasks, with one of which asking players to visit three of Skye’s Coastal Campsites to earn a massive XP reward. Where to find Skye’s Coastal Campsites Unfortunately, these campsites haven’t been marked on the map to make them easy to find, so players will need to rely on their knowledge of the map if they hope to discover them and complete this challenge. Read More: Deadpool Fortnite event revealed – If you’re struggling though, we’ve got everything you need to make sure this challenge can be completed easily, including images of what you’re looking for, and a map showing their locations. Skye’s Coastal Campsites are actually quite difficult to spot, as they don’t stand out from the rest of the map. Players are generally looking for a telescope and a tent somewhere close to the beaches and oceans, with a few also including a hammock that is tied between two trees. This can vary though. An example of the kind of tent you’re looking for is displayed below. On the map below, we’ve located five of the campsite’s locations. Unfortunately, we can’t mark them any more specifically so once you’re in the general area keep your eyes peeled for trees and hammocks and have a rummage. Unsurprisingly, they’re all located at the edge of the map, near to the coasts. Given the fact that they’re pretty spread out, it might take you a few games to do them all. Regardless, once you’re in the approximate location, they shouldn’t be too hard to find. Also live this week is the final set of Deadpool challenges. We’ve got a guide to complete them too, so you can check them off the list.

  • Where to visit houses in Slurpy Swamp for Fortnite Week 7 challenge – Dexerto

Where to visit houses in Slurpy Swamp for Fortnite Week 7 challenge Epic GamesTo complete Fortnite Season 5’s Week 7 challenges, you’ll need to visit houses at Slurpy Swamp in one single match. Here’s where to find them with a handy locations map. Another week of Fortnite action means another set of weekly challenges for players to complete. Following the recent v15.20 update, players will no doubt be looking for more ways to collect XP and level up their Battle Pass. As well as quests to destroy Slurp Barrels and collect books at Holly Hedges & Sweaty Sands, Week 7 features a location-based challenge that requires players to ‘Visit Houses in Slurpy Swamp in One Match’. This challenge might sound pretty self-explanatory at first glance, but if you don’t know where you’re looking, it can actually be quite confusing. Fortunately, we’ve got a handy guide and map for you below. Slurpy Swamp house locations in Fortnite The most important thing to point out here is that there aren’t actually any houses in the main section of the Slurpy Swamp point of interest. This is probably why players have been getting confused about how to complete the challenge. You’ll need to visit three houses in total to complete this challenge, and you need to visit all of them in one single match. To do this, you’ll have to venture west of the main factory area and enter the swamp itself. We’ve found six houses that you can visit here, and marked them on the map below. Some of them look rather derelect, so it’s easy to mistake them for being unimportant structures. Simply step inside three of the houses and you’ll tick off the challenge, earning yourself 20,000 XP in the process. You’ll want to land nearby and complete this challenge rather quickly, as it’s right at the edge of the map. If the circle ends up shrinking towards the opposite side of The Island, you’ll have to race to avoid getting eliminated by the Storm. Read More: How to get the Predator skin in Fortnite – Fun fact: This swamp is full of Slurp juice that’s leaked out of the nearby factory, which means you’ll slowly heal the longer you stand in it. This could be a good location to complete this week’s ‘Gain Max Shields in a Single Match’ challenge. Looking to earn even more XP before the week is over? • Where to visit GHOST and SHADOW ruins in Fortnite Season 6 – Dexerto

Where to visit GHOST and SHADOW ruins in Fortnite Season 6 Epic GamesIn order to complete the Week 11 challenges in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6, players will need to pay a visit to the GHOST and SHADOW ruins. Here’s where to find them. There are now less than two weeks to go until Fortnite Season 6 comes to an end, and despite already teasing what’s to come in Season 7, Epic Games haven’t forgotten about those all-important weekly challenges. While previous weeks have been pretty standard fare, Week 11 brings some more interesting (and potentially story-related) quests to the table, like asking players to place a Spirit Crystal on the tallest mountain. Another quest requires you to visit the ruins of GHOST and SHADOW buildings. These two organizations played a big role in Chapter 2 Season 2, but if you weren’t around then, you might not remember where to find their hideouts – so we’re here to help. Where to find GHOST and SHADOW ruins in Fortnite The GHOST ruins can be found at Sharky Shell, and the SHADOW ruins can be found in a cliffside alcove to the east of Retail Row. Both of these are unnamed locations, so you’ll need to know where you’re going. We’ve marked both locations on the handy Fortnite Season 6 map above, and we’ll go into more detail about how to find each individual set of ruins below. Fortnite GHOST ruins location Finding the GHOST ruins is by far the easiest part of this quest. You’ll need to head to Sharky Shell, which is the unnamed landmark at the northwest corner of the Island, just above Coral Castle on the map. Enter the ruins of the building on the stone shark’s back, and you’ll find the GHOST logo. Fortnite SHADOW ruins location Finding the SHADOW ruins is a little more tricky than the GHOST ruins, as it’s hidden in an alcove on the side of a cliff. Head to the bigger pool northeast of Retail Row, and make your way down the cliffside. You’ll know you’re at the right place because you’ll see the SHADOW logo above the entrance. Fortnite **REDACTED** bunker location The third and final place you’ll need to visit for this quest is the mysteriously named **REDACTED** bunker, which can be found to the east of Catty Corner. You can’t enter, so just walk up to the entrance. It’s unknown what this location has to do with GHOST or SHADOW, but that’s something that could potentially be explored in the future of Fortnite. Read More: Is a new Marshmello skin coming to Fortnite? – Both the GHOST and SHADOW organizations have been absent from Fortnite for months now, so it’s unusual to see Epic Games mention them as part of this weekly challenge. Could they play a part in Season 7? We’ll have to wait and see. Now that you’ve completed this quest and earned a sweet 24,000 XP you might be looking for more ways to level up your Battle Pass. Fortunately, we’ve got a guide to all the Fortnite weekly challenges right here.

As soon as the Campfire is burning, you should receive a notification in the top-left corner of the screen letting you know you’ve completed the task. Unlike previous Fortnite seasons, Cozy Campfires are no longer items that can be placed down, so you’ll need to head to a specific location that has one placed there by Epic Games if you want to complete this challenge. Unfortunately, these aren’t marked on the map by Epic Games, but if you don’t want to waste time scouring the map in the hopes of randomly coming across one, we’ve marked the locations of every Cosy Campfire on the map below so you can simply choose one, and head there. The good news is that you don’t even have to be healed by a Cozy Campfire to complete this challenge, so don’t worry about waiting until you’ve taken damage before you light one up. As always though, if someone else has gotten to the fire before you, you’ll have to find another as they can only be used once. As for rewards, you’ll be able to grab a special Holiday Sweater banner courtesy of Epic Games for your efforts in stocking a Cozy Campfire, complete with snowflakes and Christmas trees to help you show your festive cheer in-game. You’ll also have to contend with other players who are also completing this quest. Where to step onto a Body Scanner in Fortnite For the purpose of this guide, we’ll focus on the Body Scanner that can be found at Defiant Dish. It’s the easiest one to get to as it’s closest to the center of the Fortnite map, located on a hill just south of the Aftermath. We’d recommend landing here as soon as you leave the Battle Bus. Once you get there, the Body Scanner can be found inside the small square building at the northwest corner of the landmark. It’s marked on the map above. When you’ve found the Body Scanner, stepping onto it is as simple as approaching it and holding the Interact button. • Where to search the farm for clues in Fortnite – Dexerto

Where to search the farm for clues in Fortnite Epic GamesFollowing the mysterious disappearance of Farmer Steel, Fortnite players will need to head to his farm and search for clues in order to complete this Week 4 challenge. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 has brought a long-teased Invasion to the Island, introducing everything from flyable UFOs to powerful IO Tech weapons and even a giant Mothership that abducts you to with a chance to win top-tier loot. Fortnite farm clue locations In order to search for clues in this week’s Fortnite challenge, you’ll need to head to Steel Farm. This unnamed location can be found over the river to the east of Corny Complex, with a red farmhouse on a hill. You can find the following clues at Steel Farm in Fortnite: Next to a tractor in the crops. – Underneath some trees behind the farmhouse. – Next to a pile of wood that’s over the river north of the farmhouse. – Each of these clues will appear as a floating magnifying glass. They are quite small, so can be easy to miss. There’s a map above and detailed locations below, which should make finding them a little bit easier. Fortnite Farm Clue #1 The first clue can be found in the southern crops. In an opening between the corn, you’ll see a lone red tractor. Head behind it and you’ll be able to see the first clue, which takes the form of a magnifying glass. Fortnite Farm Clue #2 The second clue can be found beneath a set of trees directly behind the red farmhouse at the center of Steel Farm. Again, you’re looking for a magnifying glass. Fortnite’s previous seasons were heavily water-themed, with a flooded map in Season 3, and the new motorboats were the latest vehicles to get some shine. Although much of the water has now been drained in-game, the latest batch of challenges, for Week 2, is still finding a use for the boats, requiring players to ride under three different colored steel bridges. While this task seems fairly straightforward, it can still be a bit tricky if you don’t know where to find these bridges. Here’s what you’ll need to do. Where to ride a motorboat under steel bridges First, you’ll need to find a motorboat in Fortnite. – Then, make your way towards one of the different colored steel bridges (see locations marked below). – Once you make it to the bridge, simply drive straight under it to progress the challenge. – You’ll need to ride under three of the five bridges around the map to fully complete this task. – All Steel Bridge locations for Fortnite Week 2 challenge It is worth noting that there are other wooden bridges around the Fortnite map that will not count towards your challenge progress when you ride a boat underneath them. Also, you do not have to complete all three bridges in one run, however, the ones on the northern side of the island are quite close together, if you want to give it a try. Once you follow these steps you should be able to complete this challenge and will receive 25,000 XP as a reward for your efforts.

  • Where to repair damaged telescopes in Fortnite’s Foreshadowing quest – Dexerto

Where to repair damaged telescopes in Fortnite’s Foreshadowing quest Epic GamesAhead of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 7, there are a couple of extra tasks you’ll need to complete known as the Foreshadowing Quests, and one of them requires you to fix damaged telescopes. As we gear up to take to the green pastures of Fortnite’s Battle Royale for Season 7 in June, it seems like there might be something spooky lurking on the horizon. In true Fornite style, Epic Games’ iconic title looks to be starting off the new season with a bang. With leaks suggesting possible alien abductions and a science fiction style space universe, fans are already on the edge of their seats! It turns out, though, that in the run-up to this mysterious new season, you’ll have to complete the Fortnite Foreshadowing Quests. We’ve got a guide on how to investigate the downed black helicopter right here, but this article will focus on the other task you need to complete: repairing damaged telescopes. Damaged telescope locations in Fortnite Key to the new Foreshadowing quest line is the “repair damaged telescopes” mission. The description reads, “They’re coming for our telescopes? What next? Microscopes? It’s almost like someone doesn’t want us looking at the stars.” You’ll need to find a total of five damaged telescopes to complete this task, and repairing them will require 20 Metal each, so you better get farming those materials if you want to earn that XP. Luckily, to help you speedrun this task, we’ve got all the locations marked on the handy map above, with more detailed information on how to find each one in the list below. Misty Meadows The first telescope can be found in the Misty Meadows on top of one of the area’s main peaks. You’ll want to drop right in the center of the grey mountain area to maximize your chances of finding it quickly. The Weather Station Head to the coastal area in the bottom right of the Fortnite map in order to discover the second damaged telescope. It’s located on the cliff face overlooking the ocean just next to the wooden direction sign. Retail Row On the snowy peaks overlooking Retail Row is where you’ll find the third telescope. Sitting on top of the mountain southeast of the area, you’ll need to make it to the top to earn your prize. Dirty Docks Dirty Docks is the next stop on your Fortnite damaged telescope rescue mission. Head northwest to the heavily black shaded hill overlooking the neighboring island. The telescope is framed by the two nuclear towers in the background, so get to the hill you can see those best from! Craggy Cliffs Damaged telescope number five lurks just east of Craggy Cliffs on the Fortnite map. Make your way to the hill with the electrical station on top of it and the telescope will be right in front of you. Light House Head up to the Lighthouse to uncover the next telescope. Using the road as a guide, don’t cross over onto the smaller island. Instead, go south down the coast and you’ll find it just at the bottom of the hill that leads up to the red and white structure. Sweaty Sands The final telescope location is at Sweaty Sands, just next to the John Wick NPC. Where the road makes its first big loop, head down to the tree beneath it and you’ll find the last one. Once you’ve saved all of the telescopes from destruction, you’ll gain 24,000 XP and be one step closer to uncovering the secrets of Fortnite Season 7. We’ll keep you updated when more Foreshadowing Quests go live. Where to raid artifacts in Fortnite Season 6 There are a total of six artifacts to be found in this Week 12 quest, with three of them hidden at Stealthy Stronghold and three more hidden at Coral Castle. Where to plant Wiretaps at key locations in Fortnite Epic GamesIt’s time to get that sleuthing cap on, loyal Fortnite players, as one of the Week 8 Legendary quests requires you to plant Wiretaps at several key locations around the map. Season 7 of Fortnite is in full force, and more weekly challenges have just arrived. For the Week 8 set, the Legendary quests on offer continue to expand the mystery surrounding the alien invaders and their battle with the Imagined Order. After collecting an access card from an IO Guard, players will need to plant Wiretaps at different key locations. There are three of them to plant in total, so you’ll need to visit three of the marked locations on the map below. Where to plant Wiretaps in Fortnite There are five locations you can plant Wiretaps in Fortnite: Dinky Dish – Dockside Dish – Defiant Dish – Lazy Lake – Catty Corner (at the nearby **REDACTED** landmark) – All of these locations have three places to plant Wiretaps, so it shouldn’t take too long to find them. Our best advice is to choose locations far away from the Battle Bus path so you won’t have much competition when you get there. Below, you’ll find maps for each of the five locations to help you find all of the Wiretaps in no time at all. Remember, you only need to plant three Wiretaps to complete the challenge! Dinky Dish Wiretap locations in Fortnite Dinky Dish is the IO Base at the top of the map, east of Craggy Cliffs. Here, you’ll find one Wiretap at the base of the radar dish with the red light on it, and another two below the yellow radio towers at either side of the location. Dockside Dish Wiretaps locations in Fortnite Dockside Dish is the IO Base found west of Dirty Docks. Like the other IO Bases included in this challenge, one Wiretap can be planted at the base of the main radar dish, while the remaining two can be placed under the green radio towers. Defiant Dish Wiretap locations Defiant Dish is the IO Base south of The Aftermath (the pool of water at the center of the map). Here, you can plant a Wiretap beneath the big radar dish, and place another two under the blue radio towers. Lazy Lake Wiretap locations in Fortnite Three more Wiretap locations can be found surrounding the house with the pool at the southeast corner of Lazy Lake. The first is west of the pool, the second is east of the pool, and the third one is by a bench north of the house. Catty Corner Wiretap locations in Fortnite Another three Wiretap locations can be found at the **REDACTED** bunker east of Catty Corner. One of them is outside the gate office, the second is near a rock on the east side of the fence, and the third is next to the bunker entrance. Once you’ve planted Wiretaps at three locations above, you’ll complete the challenge and earn yourself a huge 45,000 XP to level up your Battle Pass and unlock any remaining skins or cosmetics you need. • Where to plant saplings in Fortnite at Stumpy Ridge, Fork Knife Food Truck, or FN Radio – Dexerto

Where to plant saplings in Fortnite at Stumpy Ridge, Fork Knife Food Truck, or FN Radio Epic GamesIt’s time for some gardening, Fortnite fans, as one of this week’s Epic quests requires you to plant saplings at Stumpy Ridge, Fork Knife Food Truck, or FN Radio. The latest Invasion-themed season of Fortnite is well underway, and players are now tasked with completing Week 6’s challenges. With the Super Styles available to unlock in the Battle Pass, earning XP is more important than ever. While many of Season 7’s weekly quests have revolved around our new alien friends and the characters that keep mysteriously disappearing (we miss you, Farmer Steel), this one seems relatively obscure in comparison. Players will need to plant saplings at one of three different landmarks to earn 30,000 XP. We’re not sure why you need to plant them, but we’ve got a detailed guide below to help you tick off this quest in no time anyway. Where to plant saplings in Fortnite Here are the nine locations where you can plant saplings in Fortnite: On a cliff edge surrounded by small tree stumps at Stumpy Ridge. – In the grass beneath the cliff edge at Stumpy Ridge. – Next to a fallen tree at Stumpy Ridge. – Next to the blue port-a-loos at Fork Knight Food Truck. – Up the hill behind the Fork Knight Food Truck. – Directly behind the Fork Knight Food Truck. – Next to a bush west of FN Radio. – At the center of the hill west of FN Radio. – On the east side of the hill west of FN Radio. – As you can see, there are three landmarks you can visit to plant saplings and complete this Fortnite weekly challenge. These are all unmarked locations on the Island, so we’ve circled them on the map above. Below, you’ll find the location of each individual sapling at Stumpy Ridge, Fork Knife Food Truck, and FN Radio. Fortnite sapling locations at Stumpy Ridge Stumpy Ridge can be found on a hill as you follow the southeast road out of Weeping Woods. The first sapling can be planted on the cliff edge surrounded by the small tree stumps that the landmark takes its name from. The other two saplings can be planted below the cliff, near some larger tree stumps. Fortnite sapling locations at Fork Knife Food Truck The Fork Knife Food Truck is located by the side of a main road north of Lazy Lake. All three saplings at the Fork Knife Food Truck landmark can be found bunched together behind the food truck and the blue portable toilets, making it pretty easy to plant all of them in one go. Fortnite sapling locations at FN Radio FN Radio can be found east of Craggy Cliffs, just north of an IO Base. Similar to the Fork Knife Food Truck, all three sapling planting locations at FN Radio are bunched close together. Simply go to the hill west of the Radio building and you’ll find them all in a row there. You only need to plant three saplings to complete this weekly Epic quest, so you should be able to plant them all by visiting just one of the landmarks listed above. If you’re still hunting for more ways to earn XP and level up that Battle Pass, check out our guide to all of the Fortnite Season 7 weekly challenges. We’ve also got guides to finding all Alien Artifacts, rankings of the best weapons, a simple guide to getting abducted by the Mothership, and all of the leaked Season 7 skins and cosmetics.

  • Where to place Welcome Signs in Pleasant Park and Lazy Lake in Fortnite – Dexerto

Where to place Welcome Signs in Pleasant Park and Lazy Lake in Fortnite Epic GamesWith aliens taking over the Island in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7, players will need to head to Pleasant Park and Lazy Lake to place Welcome Signs as part of the Week 3 challenges. Season 7 of Fortnite has got off to a riotous start, with flyable UFOs allowing players to zoom across the map, new IO Tech weapons dealing destruction, and even the Mothership opening its doors and bringing old landmarks like the Butter Barn back into play. All this fanfare doesn’t mean Epic Games have forgotten about those important weekly challenges, though. With the arrival of Week 3, players have another set of chances to earn XP, collect Battle Stars, and unlock all the skins and cosmetics on offer. • Where to place Warning Signs in Fortnite Week 14 – Dexerto

Where to place Warning Signs in Fortnite Week 14 Epic GamesThe final set of weekly challenges in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 7 has arrived, and one of the most time-consuming quests will require you to place Warning Signs at various locations. Fortnite Season 7 is racing along to its epic conclusion. There’s a season-ending live event called Operation Sky Fire on the way, and Season 8 will kick off straight after, meaning most players are focused on the future right now. But this is also the last chance for you to stock up on XP and max out your Battle Pass, so don’t forget about those weekly challenges! As well as sabotaging and finding the mole, one of the Week 14 quests asks you to place Warning Signs. These Warning Signs are most likely foreshadowing Slone’s plan to take down the alien invaders and warn those living on the Island of the incoming explosive action. Here’s exactly where you need to place them. Where to place Warning Signs in Fortnite There are three Fortnite POIs you can visit to place Warning Signs in this Week 14 quest, but the best location is definitely Dirty Docks. Here are the four locations you can place Warning Signs: Next to a forklift truck outside the northwest building. It’s the one with a jagged roof. – On the north side of the central steel building. There’s graffiti on the wall near it. – Near the wall of the parking lot at the center of Dirty Docks. – On the road poking out of the south of Dirty Docks, before all of the shipping containers. – We’ve also marked all four of those locations on the Dirty Docks map below. You need to place a total of four Warning Signs to complete this quest, so you should be able to do it in one match if you visit Dirty Docks. Just be careful of any opponents also trying to earn some extra XP this way. This quest can also be completed at Misty Meadows or Pleasant Park, but we recommend Dirty Docks as it’s out of the way and there are four locations to place signs, making it an easier destination. Read More: When is Naruto coming to Fortnite? – For more opportunities to level up your Battle Pass before Season 7 ends, check out our weekly Fortnite challenges guide, as well as our guide to the Island Games quests for a final boost of XP. • Where to place Warning Signs at a Crop Circle in Fortnite’s Foreshadowing Quest – Dexerto

Where to place Warning Signs at a Crop Circle in Fortnite’s Foreshadowing Quest Epic GamesAnother Foreshadowing Quest has arrived in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6, and it requires players to place Warning Signs at a Crop Circle. Here’s exactly where you need to go. With just days to go until Fortnite Season 6 draws to a close, players are eager to get as many opportunities as they can to earn XP and level up their Battle Pass – and fortunately, Epic Games are here to help with a brand new quest line. As well as giving players 24,000 XP when completed, each of these new Foreshadowing Quests hints towards an impending alien invasion, which could very well be the mystery theme of the fast-approaching Chapter 2 Season 7. The latest challenge asks players to place Warning Signs at a Crop Circle. If you’re struggling to find the right location, we’ve got a handy guide that’ll tell you exactly where you need to go to complete the quest. Fortnite Crop Circle location You can place Warning Signs at a Crop Circle by visiting Colossal Crops, a new POI that was introduced at the start of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6. It’s northeast of The Spire at the center of the map, so it’s not too hard to find. When you get here, you’ll find that all of the corn that was growing at the center of the location has gone. Instead, it’s been replaced by a mysterious Crop Circle that looks like something out of an alien invasion movie. Simply approach the outlines of Warning Signs around the Crop Circle and press the command button. Once you’ve completed this quest, you’ll have 24,000 XP in the bag and be one step closer to solving this Fortnite mystery. What does the Crop Circle signify? Unlike the regular weekly challenges, these Foreshadowing Quests hint at developments in the wider Fortnite story, so players have already started trying to figure out what they mean. Farmer Steel is the NPC who asks you to place the Warning Signs at the Crop Circle, saying, “Pranksters, aliens, whatever you are, if you come for my corn, there’s gonna be trouble.” Interestingly, the points of the Crop Circle at Colossal Crops line up perfectly with the Spire and the Guardian Towers that were introduced at the start of this Primal season, meaning this development has been planned for months. With Crop Circles now joining the lineup of clues, and UFO abductions set to take place before the end of Season 6, it seems very likely that aliens will play heavily into the theme of Chapter 2 Season 7. If you’re looking to complete the other Fortnite Foreshadowing Quests, we’ve got guides to finding the Downed Black Helicopter, repairing the Damaged Telescopes, and locating all of the CB Radios.

  • Where to place video cameras at different landing ship locations in Fortnite – Dexerto

Where to place video cameras at different landing ship locations in Fortnite Epic GamesFortnite’s Week 10 challenges have arrived, and there’s another location-based quest for players to complete: placing video cameras at different landing ship locations. Ariana Grande’s concert may be over, but life continues on the Island. A new set of weekly challenges have arrived, once again giving players another chance to earn some much-needed XP to level up their Battle Pass and unlock more skins. This new collection of Week 10 Legendary challenges are relatively easy in comparison to previous sets, but one challenge in particular might leave players scratching their heads: placing video cameras at different landing ship locations. As with previous Legendary challenges this season, it’s Doctor Slone who’s giving the orders, as she wants to get as much information on the alien invaders as possible. Below, you’ll find a simple guide to complete this quest in no time. Where to place video cameras in Fortnite There are multiple locations where you can place video cameras in Fortnite, but we recommend visiting these locations to make completing the challenge easier: On the northeastern hill overlooking Lazy Lake. – On a small cliff edge next to the road leading west out of Retail Row. – On the northeastern hill on the east side of Misty Meadows. – You’ll need to place one video camera at each of the three locations in order to complete this challenge, and we’ve marked them on the map above to make finding them a little easier. The video cameras don’t all need to be placed in the same match, but it’s probably a lot quicker to do it that way as the locations we’ve listed above are all very close to each other – especially if you find a Ferrari! Fortnite video camera location 1: Lazy Lake There are a few areas you can place a video camera at Lazy Lake, but the best one to visit is on a cliff edge at the northeastern point of the location. Then, you can make a quick rotation to your next destination. Fortnite video camera location 2: Retail Row Once you’ve moved on to Retail Row, you won’t even have to enter the POI as there’s a video camera spot among the trees on a small raised cliff to the right of the road at the western point of Retail Row. Fortnite video camera location 3: Misty Meadows Finally, at Misty Meadows, you can find a location to place your third video camera up on a hill that overlooks the POI from the northeastern side. Don’t go too high up the cliff, though, or you’ll miss it. Once you’ve finished this Legendary quest, you’ll earn a huge 30,000 XP for your efforts. Where to place Spy Probes in Fortnite for Week 9 challenge Epic GamesThere are more espionage-related challenges to take on this week in Fortnite Season 7, and one of them requires players to place Spy Probes at specific locations on the Island. Fortnite Season 7 has delivered far more interesting weekly challenges than previous seasons, largely thanks to the alien theme. Some of these quests revolve around the extraterrestrial invaders, while others focus on the returning Imagined Order. For Week 9’s Legendary challenges, you’ll be assisting Doctor Slone and the Imagined Order in gathering data on the aliens, known as ‘Trespassers’, by doing everything from collecting resources at Holly Hatchery to disabling Alien Billboards. Right now, though, we’re focusing on the quest to place Spy Probes on the Island. Below, you’ll find locations and a map to help you complete this Fortnite weekly challenge in no time at all. Where to place Spy Probes in Fortnite To place Spy Probes in Fortnite, you’ll need to head to Retail Row at the east of the Island. • Where to place Rubber Ducks in Fortnite Season 7 – Dexerto

Where to place Rubber Ducks in Fortnite Season 7 Epic GamesFortnite Season 7 is kicking off with a bang and the aliens are not messing around with their takeover of the map. Weekly quests are back, and Epic has players doing some unique challenges this season. Every new season of Fortnite offers some incredible chances for players to check out all of the new content that Epic have implemented, and Fortnite Season 7 is no exception. The crossovers with Rick Sanchez and Superman are beautifully designed skins, and the new weapons are a blast to use. One aspect that is not changed for Season 7 are the weekly challenges/quests players have the option to complete to earn an ample amount of XP. One of the first challenges players will need to undertake involves Rubber Ducks and multiple POIs. Where to place Rubber Ducks Players will find these quests as a part of the week one Epic quest in Season 7, and you will be tasked with placing three Rubber Ducks – one at Retail Row, one at Pleasant Park and one at Believer Beach, but these exact locations can be complicated to find at first. If you’re not in the know, Believer Beach is the renamed version of Sweaty Sands… but there have been few changes to this POI, so it’s not a major difference compared to last season. You will have to head to Believer Beach first, and the Rubber Duck location will be by the swimming pool. Next, head over to Pleasant Park. Near the gas station will be the destination of the second Rubber Duck. Last but not least, Retail Row is your spot for the third Rubber Duck, and it should be placed at the basketball court. Below is also an image of where you will need to head to complete this challenge. Be sure to get these challenges completed in time, as the Epic quests for Season 7 are going to earn you XP and credits used to unlock skins like Superman! Although the challenges seem to be easy now, there’s no doubt that in the coming weeks Epic is going to roll out increasingly harder challenges for players to complete. Be sure to stay up to date with our Fortnite section, as we will be rolling out more guides when these release.

  • Where to place Fortnite missing person signs in Weeping Woods and Misty Meadows – Dexerto

Where to place Fortnite missing person signs in Weeping Woods and Misty Meadows Epic GamesCharacters are going missing left, right, and center in Fortnite Season 7, and it’s down to you to place Missing Person Signs in Weeping Woods and Misty Meadows to help find them. Ever since Epic Games announced the Invasion-themed Season 7, strange things have been happening. As well as a giant Mothership abducting players, several well-known NPCs like Agent Jones and Farmer Steel have disappeared. In an effort to locate these much-loved characters, one of the Week 4 challenges asks players to place Missing Person Signs across two separate locations on the Fortnite map: Weeping Woods and Misty Meadows. This works very similar to Week 3’s Welcome Sign challenge, meaning Epic will mark the larger locations on the map but won’t tell you where to place the signs. To help you out, we’ve put together two handy maps to find them in no time. Missing Person Signs in Weeping Woods Here’s where to place Missing Person Signs in Weeping Woods: Outside the front entrance of the northern lodge. – Near the west entrance of the eastern lodge. – Near the east entrance of the same eastern lodge. – Outside the small shack hidden under trees next to the lake. – By the front of the shower block, near the RV Park. – Missing Person Signs in Misty Meadows Here’s where to place Missing Person Signs in Misty Meadows: Outside the kiosk at the northeast point of Misty Meadows. – Near the entrance to the blue hotel on the east side of Misty Meadows. – Outside the ‘Oink’ butcher’s shop on the east side of Misty Meadows. – At the bottom of the stairs on the west side of Misty Meadows. – Next to the bus stop at the western side of Misty Meadows. – You only need to place four Missing Person Signs to complete this Legendary quest, which means you don’t need to visit both locations as there are five possible places you can place signs at both Weeping Woods and Misty Meadows. Once you’ve completed this challenge, you’ll earn yourself 30,000 XP to help you unlock more Battle Stars and purchase all the skins and cosmetics that the Season 7 Battle Pass has to offer. If you want more ways to earn XP, check out our Fortnite Season 7 weekly challenges guide here.

  • Where to place cow decoys in farms in Fortnite – Dexerto

Where to place cow decoys in farms in Fortnite Epic GamesHow do you distract alien invaders from abducting players? Cow decoys, of course! That’s exactly what you’ll need to do to complete this Fortnite Season 7 weekly challenge. With aliens taking over the Island in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7, it was only a matter of time before cows became a focal point. Following the debut of the chaotic Inflate-A-Bull item, players now need to place cow decoys for this Week 6 challenge. Why, exactly? Well, Slone has figured out that the alien invaders are drawn to cows, and they can’t tell the difference between real ones and fake ones. As a result, this should be the perfect way to distract them – or draw them into a trap. Completing these weekly Legendary challenges is the fastest way to earn XP, rack up Battle Stars, and unlock every skin and cosmetic that the Battle Pass has to offer – and this particular challenge will bag you a whopping 30,000 XP. Where to place cow decoys in Fortnite You can choose to visit either Corny Complex or Hayseed’s Farm (formerly Steel Farm) in order to place cow decoys. There are seven at each location, and you’ll only need to place three to complete this weekly Fortnite challenge. Cow Decoys appear as blue holograms until you interact with them, so sometimes they can be easy to miss. Both locations are right next to each other on the map, so this shouldn’t be too difficult. But to save you running around, we’ve put together two location maps that should help you earn that XP in no time. Cow decoy locations at Corny Complex Here’s where you can place cow decoys at Corny Complex: In front of the main house at the north of Corny Complex. – Near two large silos northeast of Corny Complex. – Out the front of the large northwest barn. – Near the truck on the north side of the western crops. – Behind the shed on the south side of the western crops. – Just west of the medium-sized green barn southeast of Corny Complex. – Near the small yellow barn south of Corny Complex. – If you choose to visit Corny Complex to complete this challenge, remember to keep an eye out for IO Guards that patrol the area, as they may catch you off guard while you’re searching for cow decoys. • Where to find Tie Fighter crash sites in Fortnite X Star Wars – Dexerto

Where to find Tie Fighter crash sites in Fortnite X Star Wars Remnants of the spectacular Star Wars event are sticking around in Fortnite. So, if you’re trying to complete the raise your banner challenge, here’s where you can find the crashed TIE Fighters. The live Star Wars event literally broke Fortnite on December 14, with players being unable to log-in and the start time being pushed back ten minutes to try and get them in. When it did start, however, it may have been the best Fortnite event yet – complete with the Millenium Falcon, a live conversation, and lightsabres. If that wasn’t enough for Star Wars fans, there were also leaked skins for Kylo Ren and Zorii Bliss, as well as challenges – with the most difficult being the raise your banner at crashed TIE Fighters locations. Don’t fret, however, we’ve got you covered on that. The crashed TIE Fighters come from the live event, as they chased the Millenium Falcon around the map before either being shot down or crashing of their own violation. As a result, there are five crash locations spread across the map – including spots at Slurpy Swamp, between Sandy Shores and Holly Hodges, Salty Springs, Steamy Stacks, and Retail Row. Anyone looking to the sky will see the smoke plumes that give their location away but if you’re not doing that for fear of being eliminated by an enemy, don’t worry, we have the exact locations for you with our own map – just head to the middle of the red X’s. Once you reach one of these locations, you will see an actual crashed TIE Fighter – as well as some First Order Stormtroopers keeping guard. The dastardly Empire foot soldiers will fire upon you with their blasters, so it’s best to have some loot before taking them on. After you’ve taken them down, however, you will have free reign over the crash site and will be able to raise your banner. Simply walk over to the banner, interact with it, and wait for your emblem to take its place. As you’ve taken down the Stormtroopers in the process of capturing the site, you will also find the First Order Blaster rifle on the floor. This can be used as a weapon, but keeping with the movies, it’s not wholly accurate. With the Star Wars challenges coming in stages, you will have to repeat the task a few times if you want to complete the whole pack of missions, so be prepared to stomp all over the Empire.

Added shortly after the title’s Season 6 launch, they allow players to experience some of the narrative story, while also gaining a ton of XP on top of it. Completing this task will grant you with 15K XP, which should give you a fairly sizable jump on your battle pass, so you’ll want to do this task as soon as possible. Of course, this isn’t the final part of Raz’s challenge – the next one is set to be a bit more complicated, but you’ll need to complete this one first.

He’ll sell it to you for 25 Gold Bars, which is pretty cheap, but make sure you’ve got enough stocked up beforehand. If you’re running low on Gold Bars, the Inflate-A-Bull will appear in Supply Drops and IO Chests, which are found at IO Bases across the map. They can also appear in regular chests, but they’ll be less common there. How does the Inflate-A-Bull work in Fortnite? Once you’ve equipped an Inflate-A-Bull, you simply need to jump into the air to deploy it. Doing this will give you a directional impulse, and it will also let you roll down hills, bounce off cliffs, and become resistant to fire. Deploying the Inflate-A-Bull will also knock off any Alien Parasites that have attached to you, which could come in very handy. On the other hand, it will attract the attention of nearby Saucers, so there are pros and cons to the item. There’s an 8 to 16 second cooldown time between uses, and the Inflate-A-Bull can be popped if any of your enemies manage to shoot it, so be careful deploying it during heated battles. Fun fact: It also makes cow sounds! Fortnite ‘Use an Inflate-A-Bull’ weekly challenge One of the Season 7 Week 6 challenges requires players to use an Inflate-A-Bull. Doing so will reward you with a huge 30,000 XP so it’s definitely worth doing – and now you’ll know exactly where to find one! Unfortunately, the Inflate-A-Bull has already been plagued with a major bug that turns players invisible for the remainder of the match after using it. As a result, Epic have disabled the item, and we don’t know when it will return. Epic will most likely auto-complete this weekly challenge for players, or (hopefully) return the Inflate-A-Bull to the game soon so it can be completed properly. • Where to find the Impossible Rock in Fortnite Chapter 3: Location guide – Dexerto

Where to find the Impossible Rock in Fortnite Chapter 3: Location guide Epic GamesOne of Fortnite Chapter 3’s many Quests tasks players with landing at the Impossible Rock formation, but it isn’t a named location on the map. Here’s where you can find it to easily complete this challenge. Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 is crammed full of Quests that help players level up the Battle Pass, and unlock those shiny new skins. Some are part of specific weekly objectives, while others pop up daily. A common Daily Quest that has been showing for players asks them to land at an unmarked POI called the Impossible Rock. Fortnite’s map is chocked full of interesting locations, so tracking down the precise rock before you land can be difficult. Don’t worry, though, we’ve found exactly where the Impossible Rock is so that you can drop at this landmark with ease. Fortnite Impossible Rock location You can find Fortnite’s Impossible Rock in the southern part of the map, where the terrain is a harsh desert. It sits in the middle of the three major locations in the area, Rocky Reels, Condo Canyon, and Chonker’s Speedway. Before you jump, you’ll see on the map that there are a number of small cliffs surrounded by a river, one of which has a small house and RV on top of it. Here is where’ll find the Impossible Rock. We’ve marked the precise location on the map below, so you’ll know exactly where to place your marker before leaving the Battle Bus. Once you know where to drop, the Impossible Rock is almost impossible to miss as it’s one of the game’s most striking POIs. Look out for a huge boulder ignoring the laws of physics while it balances precariously on another tiny rock. Simply drop anywhere nearby to complete the challenge, and claim your valuable XP. It won’t place you at too much of a disadvantage either, as there are still some chests scattered around for you to grab weapons from. • Where to find the hidden ‘I’ for Fortnite’s Week 6 Missions – Dexerto

Where to find the hidden ‘I’ for Fortnite’s Week 6 Missions Fortnite Chapter 2’s sixth week is now here and as always, Epic Games have hidden another letter somewhere on the map, with ‘I’ placed on the island for players to search for. Hidden Battle Stars are a thing of the past in Chapter 2, Season 1, with Epic Games instead deciding to ditch the staple items for hidden letters, which spell out the name of the massively popular battle royale title. Most of the letters are available to be discovered on the map already, with F, O, R, T, and N all ready to be found, but with Week 6 now underway, Epic Games have placed an I somewhere on the island for Battle Pass owners to search for. Those who own this season’s Battle Pass will be able to search for these letters once they complete any eight of this week’s challenges, with the Week 6 Mission not scheduled to release until November 14. Once eight tasks have been finished, they’ll be rewarded with a special loading screen, which this week shows a Rippley skin hiding in a barn eating apples while Sludge moves barrels in the background. Hidden on the walkway on the top of the image is the letter ‘I’, directly beside the window. Players will need to head to Frenzy Farm to collect this letter and make their way to the big red barn, with the ‘I’ located on the third story of the building. If you’re still struggling to locate the barn you need to go to, it can be found at the north of the location, and should be relatively easy to find once you make it to the farm. You can also use the map below to find the exact location of the hidden letter. Collecting these letters allows players to rank up their Battle Pass with some free stars as a reward while finding all eight letters will help you complete the Alter Ego Mission, which unveils more challenges as the season goes on. Remember, you must complete eight of the Week 6 challenges for the letter to unlock, so don’t expect it to appear if you have yet to take them on, or haven’t finished them. For help with completing all 11 Fortnite challenges this week, make sure to visit our in-depth Hide and Seek Challenge guide.

  • Where to find the hidden gnome for Fortnite’s 8-Ball vs Scratch challenge – Dexerto

Where to find the hidden gnome for Fortnite’s 8-Ball vs Scratch challenge Epic GamesFortnite‘s second set of Overtime challenges are here, and fans of the game need to find a hidden gnome that’s been placed somewhere between Fancy View, a wooden shack, and a big house as part of the 8-Ball vs Scratch Mission. Fortnite players have a brand-new set of challenges to sink their teeth into following the 11.40 Update for the game, with the second Overtime Mission going live to help players earn more XP to rank up their Battle Pass as they try to unlock the special Tier 100 skin. One of the nine 8-Ball vs Scratch challenges tasks players with finding a garden gnome that’s been hidden somewhere on the island, with the only clue given to fans being that it sits somewhere been Fancy View, a wooden shack, and a big house. Where to find the hidden gnome between Fancy View, a big house, and a wooden shack Unfortunately, not only is the gnome’s location not marked on the map, but none of the three locations used as part of the clue are named either, meaning that if players don’t know the map well, it’s going to be a struggle to locate the hints, never mind the gnome itself. Thankfully, if you’re one of those struggling to figure out where you need to go, we’ve got all the information you need to make this challenge as straightforward as possible. To complete this challenge, you’ll be heading towards the western side of the map, looking between Salty Shores and Holly Hedges if you’re hoping to find this garden ornament. In fact, you’ll be heading towards the shore, with Fancy View sitting on the edge of a cliff, overlooking the water. The big house sits south-east of Fancy View, while the wooden shack sits directly east, meaning you don’t have a large area to cover if you’re looking for the item. The exact location of the gnome is in the field between these points, just off the side of the road that weaves its way through the landscape between the areas. We’ve marked it for you on the map below. Once you find the gnome, simply walk up to it and press the interact button. You will then receive a notification that you’ve completed the challenge, and can move on and try to secure a Victory Royale. Remember though, you must be Tier 60 in the Battle Pass to take the 8-Ball vs Scratch Mission on, so if you go to this location before you’ve reached the mark, the gnome will remain hidden.

  • Where to find the Cult Talisman: Fortnite Season 6 Spire Quest – Dexerto

Where to find the Cult Talisman: Fortnite Season 6 Spire Quest Epic GamesWhile the first of Raz’s Spire Quests in Fortnite tasks players with finding a Cult Artifact, another in the questline requires you to get your hands on a Cult Talisman, and there’s a few things you’ll need to know. Spire Quests in Fortnite Season 6 allow players to experience a storyline in Fortnite without needing to do insanely convoluted steps. Certain characters will give you dialogue when you interact with them before giving you a small quest to complete, which will grant you XP and another quest to start on. Right now, a few characters are giving out quests, including Tarana and Raz. While Tarana’s are pretty simple, only requiring you to find some artifacts, Raz’s are a bit more cumbersome and one of them will actually force you to go out and engage with another AI. How to get a Cult Talisman in Fortnite While the Cult Artifact is pretty simple to find, the Cult Talisman on the other hand might give some players trouble. In order to get your hands on one, you’ll need to defeat a Guardian. These are the combative NPC’s found near the towers around the map. Luckily, you won’t have to kill them in a specific way but you should be sure to stock up on weapons and ammo because running dry can spell your doom. Once you take them down, the Guardian will drop a slew of items, one of which will be the Cult Talisman. It’s worth pointing out that you’ll have to be quick when picking it up, as it can and will disappear if you wait too long. While it’s unknown if this is a bug, it’s worth pointing out as you’ll have to defeat another Guardian if it disappears. It also doesn’t matter which specific Guardian you take down, so you can go to whichever one you want. As previously mentioned, it’s not a hard task, especially if you’ve taken them down in the past, so it should only take a few minutes to complete.

  • Where to find the Cult Artifact: Fortnite Season 6 Spire Quest – Dexerto

Where to find the Cult Artifact: Fortnite Season 6 Spire Quest Epic GamesOnce players complete Tarana’s Spire Quests, they can move on to Raz’s questline and one of them tasks players with finding a Cult Artifact over by the Spire POI, located at the center of the map. Here’s what you need to do to complete the quest. With the release of Fortnite’s 16.10 update on March 30, a brand-new set of challenges called Spire Quests have been added, allowing fans to play through narrative elements of the story, while also earning some XP. After completing the first parts of the Spire Quests, which tasks you with finding artifacts for Tarana and then playing a Last Log, players will now need to find a Cult Artifact for Raz. Cult Artifact Location at the Spire The good part about this quest is that it’s incredibly easy to complete if you know where to look. The Cult Artifact only spawns in one location, unlike some of the other artifacts that players need to collect, which only lends to this challenge’s simplicity. The Cult Artifact itself can be found near the Spire, the large point-of-interest at the dead-center of the map. Go to the south side of the POI and then go to highest building on that side, which butts up right against the tower itself. Once inside, you should see the artifact glowing all the way in the back corner. If you’re having trouble finding it, YouTuber HarryNinetyFour made a video showing exactly where it can be found. It should be noted that in order to unlock this challenge, you’ll need to not only complete both of the aforementioned Tarana challenges but you’ll also need to complete 5 other uncommon or rarer ones. Once you do that, however, you’ll be able to find the Cult Artifact no problem.

  • Where to find the anomaly at Stealthy Stronghold in Fortnite – Dexerto

Where to find the anomaly at Stealthy Stronghold in Fortnite Epic GamesAnother challenge has appeared in Fortnite, and this time around we are once again going to be searching for a missing anomaly. Stealthy Stronghold is the location we are going to be diving into for this one. While we are at the tail end of Fortnite Season 6 with just a few short days left to go, players worldwide are still gunning to finish their season’s battle pass and unlock all the variants of the skins. One of the skins that have multiple styles is Agent Jonsey, and there are a few different ways to unlock these variants. You will need to find and interact with anomalies around the map, and depending on where you find them, it will unlock a certain style for Jonsey. Here is where to find the anomaly within Stealthy Stronghold. Where to find the Stealthy Stronghold anomaly The anomaly in question is going to spawn within Stealthy Stronghold, which is one of the most northern POIs on the Fortnite map currently. It is a jungle-themed biome filled with trees and dangerous Raptors that will attack you. The process of catching and interacting with this anomaly is going to be tricker than the other ones within the game. As, once you approach this anomaly, it will take flight and maneuver around the POI for around 30 seconds before it lands. Right off the bat, you will be able to spot it near the entrance to Stealthy Stronghold. It will be the intersection of the two buildings on the right side of the POI, and once you approach it, then the chase begins. After around 30 seconds or so, the anomaly will stop in place and you will be able to interact with it to complete the challenge. But, make sure you complete the other anomaly challenges, so that you unlock all the styles for the Agent Jonsey skin. Read More: How to watch Fortnite Season 6 finale event – These Agent Jonsey challenges are just a few of the many challenges players will need to complete before the big season-ending event. As the new Foreshadowing quests have all but confirmed that aliens will be coming next season. How this will change the Fortnite map is still a mystery, but we are excited to see what Epic has in store for us.

  • Where to find the anomaly at Shark Island in Fortnite – Dexerto

Where to find the anomaly at Shark Island in Fortnite Epic GamesIn order to get their hands on the Jump 23 variation of the Agent Jones outfit in Fortnite, players are tasked with investigating an anomaly located over in Shark Island. Here’s where you can find it and what you have to do to unlock it. With the release of Fortnite Season 6, players are able to finally unlock Agent Jones, the fan-favorite character at the center of the game’s narrative, after begging for his release for around three seasons now. Not only that, but fans can also unlock some interesting variations of the character, based on his travels throughout the multiverse. To unlock each one, players will have to complete a challenge and one of them, specifically the one to unlock the Jump 13 variation, requires you to investigate an anomaly at Shark Island. While it’s not exactly a hard challenge to complete, you may be confused about what you need to do once you get there. Anomaly at Shark Island For this challenge, you will want to head over to the left side of the map. Like the first challenge for Agent Jones, this one requires you to remember a pattern, albeit to a lesser extent. To find the anomaly, go to the northern part of the island and you’ll see some lights/holograms on top of a small cliff. After that, you’ll need to follow the butterfly that flies past each one and perform an action at each one in the order that it flies in. Here are all the actions you’ll need to do: Crouch – Emote – Jump – After that, you should notice that the butterfly will go between all the holograms and turn into an object. Go up to it and interact with it and the challenge will be completed. One thing to point out is that if there’s another player near you while you’re completing the challenge, the intractable object which you need to complete the challenge may not show up. If it doesn’t, you’ll unfortunately need to leave the match with the challenge three-quarters of the way completed and have to restart it in a new game, which is annoying. Never the less, once you complete the challenge, you should have the Jump 23 variant of Agent Jones unlocked for use within Fortnite.

  • Where to find Tarana in Fortnite and how to get artifacts – Dexerto

Where to find Tarana in Fortnite and how to get artifacts Epic GamesAfter the 16.10 update, Fortnite players have a brand-new Spire challenge to complete, this one with the NPC Tarana, and it can be a bit difficult to find. Here’s how you can get the quest and what you’ll need to do once you acquire it. Fortnite’s quests and challenges give players an easy way to level-up their battle pass. Each one gives you a ton of XP, meaning getting them done will send you soaring through each tier without a problem. With the release of update 16.10, Spire Challenges are now available, and the first one deals with Tarana, the dinosaur-themed NPC located on the map. Getting the challenge and completing it, however, are a bit more difficult. Finding Tarana and starting the challenge Luckily, completing this challenge is pretty easy. While it’s a little confusing at first, all players need to do is find Tarana and follow all the instructions and quests that she gives you. Doing so will reward you with a large amount of XP in total, which as previously mentioned will help you fly through the Battle Pass. To start the quest, you’ll want to go over to Tarana, located at Bonesy Burbs. Once you interact with her, you’ll see some new dialogue options. If you select them and follow them, she should then give you a quest to find some artifacts. Finding the Artifacts in Bonesy Burbs After talking with Tarana, she’ll give you a quest to find three artifacts located around Bonesy Burbs. These artifacts act similarly to the items players have interacted with in previous challenges and quests so it’s not too hard to deal with. The artifacts themselves can be found in three locations right now: Inside the big building with the horns painted on it, located behind the walkway bridge. – Inside the gas station. – Underneath the stairway at the clocktower. – After that, just return to Tarana and you’ll complete that part of the quest. As previously mentioned, they are all pretty easy and if you know where to look, you should be able to finish it within just a few minutes. It is worth noting that there appears to be a bug right now and if you are killed after accepting the artifact quest from Tarana, there’s a chance that the quest to find artifacts themselves won’t pop up. It’s unclear how prevalent this glitch is, but it will stop you from completing the challenge until it’s fixed so be warned.

  • Where to find Stark Industries Beacons in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 – Dexerto

Where to find Stark Industries Beacons in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 X: HYPEXFortnite’s mid-season updates have been leaving Avengers-level secrets on the map, as more mysterious Stark Industries Beacons keep being discovered around the Chapter 5 Season 3 island. Fortnite’s 30.20 update has introduced two more Stark Industries Beacons to the Battle Royale map, which came after the first beacon was sneakily deployed by Epic with the previous 30.10 update. Many in the community believe that these have been planted by Epic to build up hype for the upcoming Marvel-themed season outlined in Fornite’s leaked Roadmap. Here’s everything you need to know about them, including where to find all Stark Industries Beacon locations on the island map. Stark Industries Beacon locations in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 You can find three Stark Industries Beacons across the Fortnite map in Chapter 5 Season 3. These are all located near different main POI locations around the Battle Royale island and are all mysteriously pointing in varied directions. These beacons can be found near Reckless Railways, Brawler’s Battleground and Sandy Steppes. Reckless Railways beacon You can find this Stark Industries Beacon directly southwest of Reckless Railways. It is located on top of the small hill and menacingly facing toward the center of the Reckless Railways POI. This was the first and only rift beacon that was included in Fortnite’s 30.10 update. Just like all the other beacons, you are unable to interact with the object and therefore no further clues have been provided in regards to their purpose or for the reason they are pointing in a particular direction. Brawler’s Battleground beacon You will need to head just east of Brawler’s Battleground to find this Stark Industries Beacon. The beacon has been placed right on top of the large mountain that sits along the right-hand side the the POI. Despite it being almost inside the POI, this beacon points northwest toward the center of the Battle Royale map, in a completely different direction from the first beacon. Sandy Steppes beacon The final beacon can be found northeast of Sandy Steppes. Epic has placed this Stark Industries Beacon on top of the tall hill that sits next to the Snooty Station landmark. The Sandy Steppes Beacon points northeast, directly towards the Ship It! Station. Unlike the Reckless Railways beacon that was added first as part of the 30.10 update, both of the Stark Industries Beacons introduced in the 30.20 update point towards the center of the map. But, there have been no further signs that would suggest that this was related and may just be a coincidence. Furthermore, the Stark Industries Beacons discovered in Chapter 5 Season 3 have remained a mystery so far. We will therefore have to wait and see if Epic continues to spread more Marvel teasers across its map in the next mid-season updates. Fortnite veterans should be well-versed with the beacon’s arrival. Back in Chapter 2 Season 4, the beacons also coincided with the Marvel-themed season. With this being mentioned in the leaked Fortnite 2024 Roadmap, then this is all we have to go by and the rest has remained unknown. The 30.20 update by Epic has also introduced the Heavy Impact Sniper, Remote Explosives, a fresh roster of NPCs and the biggest addition being the OG Reload mode with its own weapons pool and map.

Contents Where to find Spider-Man Mythic Web-Shooters in Fortnite – Spider-Man Mythic Web-Shooters location – How to web-sling in Fortnite – How to complete Amazing Web Week Quests – Where to find Spider-Man Mythic Web-Shooters in Fortnite To locate Spiderman’s Web-Shooters, you’ll need to head to any of the 11 designated areas on the Fortnite map. When you’re in these locations, you’ll then need to keep a keen eye out for the superhero’s spiderwebs. Once you’ve found the webs, you’ll need to look around the area on vertical surfaces located slightly above ground level for Peter Parker’s backpacks, which will be stuck to whatever surface with another web. – After interacting with these, you’ll have a 90% chance of obtaining one, so if you’re lucky, the Mythic item will be yours relatively easily. – It’s also worth noting that there are two versions of the Web-Shooter, with one containing unlimited shots, and the other limited to a maximum of 80 shots. During the Amazing Web Week event, which takes place from March 1 to March 9, you’ll also be able to find Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters by searching Chests – although they’re still a rare item so don’t expect to get them in every Chest. Spider-Man Mythic Web-Shooters location Fortnite.gg has put together an incredibly helpful location map of all the areas that Spider-Man’s Mythic Web-Shooters can be found in Fortnite, as shown below: How to web-sling with Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters in Fortnite Now that you’ve got your hands on the Web-Shooters, you’ll probably be wondering how to web swing in typical Peter Parker style. The controls can be somewhat tricky, but after a little bit of practice, you’ll be zipping through the new map in no time. With the Web-Shooters equipped, simply aim at a surface that isn’t too far from where you are. A circular UI element will appear with a rotating inner wheel, indicating that you’re able to web-sling to that particular spot. – Press the fire button, and you’ll zip over. Control your character, and then press the jump button, aim at another surface, and fire again. – If you chain these correctly and don’t sling to objects that are too low, you’ll be able to keep slinging for a decent amount of time. – Web-slinging at certain points of the map – especially wider, open areas – can be difficult, but when used correctly, you’ll be feeling as if you’ve stepped into the shoes of Spidey yourself. The Fortnite Summer Escape event is winding down in Chapter 4 of Season 3, and players are bracing up for the next significant update, which will bring them closer to the next season. The Epic Games staff may be on vacation, but they haven’t stopped adding decrypted items to the game with the new summer event quests. One such thing is the recently added Slap Splash consumable. It functions similarly to the famed Chug Splash but with varying degrees of efficacy depending on the user’s specific circumstances. Players can now find the item during their Battle Royale gameplay on the island. If you’re looking for one on your way to Victory Royale, here’s how you can find a Slap Splash in Fortnite. Where to find the Slap Splash consumable in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3? The Slap Splash is added alongside the already extensive roster of consumables found on the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 island. Like the Splash Juice, this consumable provides a slap effect and, depending on whatever bar is low, some health or shield points. There are two different kinds of Slap Splash — Rare and Exotic — and you can stack each of them in sets of six. You can frequently find the rare consumable inside Cooler boxes, Chests, and Supply drones, whereas the exotic variant in Loot Llamas, and Holo-Chests. You can also receive the consumable by opening a vault or claiming a Capture Point at a POI. The duration of the Slap Effect for the rare variant is 30 seconds, while the Exotic variant is 60 seconds. In addition, the Rare variant restores 15 shield or health points, while the Exotic restores 30. • Where to find Skye’s sword in a stone for Fortnite Week 8 challenge – Dexerto

Where to find Skye’s sword in a stone for Fortnite Week 8 challenge Epic GamesFortnite’s Week 8 challenges are here, and one of the trickiest Skye’s Adventure tasks wants players to find the character’s swords, which have been forced into stones dotted around the map. After Season 1’s Mission format, Fortnite returned to weekly challenge sets with the launch of Season 2, focusing on the secret agent characters who make up the Battle Pass, with each one receiving two weeks in the limelight. This week marks the second installment of Skye’s Adventure, with players tasked with locating her swords which have been hidden on the map. While most of this week’s challenges are relatively straight forward, finding Skye’s swords will definitely prove to be one of the trickiest, and if you’re struggling to locate them, we’ve created this handy guide to make the process a whole lot easier. Of course, the most difficult part of completing this challenge is actually finding the swords, as they are not marked on the Fortnite map to help you along. You may stumble on them by accident if you play enough, but if you’re looking to finish this task quickly and efficiently, we’ve got locations for all five so you can plan your drops accordingly. The majority of the swords can be found in the north of the island, with two sitting north-west and south-east of Pleasant Park respectively, and another sitting on the hill that overlooks Craggy Cliff. A sword sits on the mountains between The Grotto and Retail Row, while the fifth and final weapon sits just north of Lazy Lake. Once you’ve located them, you simply need to walk over and use the interact button on either your keyboard or controller, which will then play an animation to let you know you’ve found the sword and knocked it off your list. You will need to find all five, but the good news is that you don’t need to do it all in one match, so you can space them out or visit them in any order you please. The easiest way to complete this challenge quickly is to do it in Team Rumble, which allows you to respawn if you find yourself taken down by an enemy. Remember though, they don’t all have to be found in one match, so if you want to do them in normal matches, you can do so with no penalty. This task makes up one of the 10 challenges in the second week of Skye’s Adventure, with every completed task offering 40,000 XP as a reward for your efforts.
