  • Tfue outclasses Ninja with epic Fortnite trap kill – Dexerto

Tfue outclasses Ninja with epic Fortnite trap kill Alessando Giulianelli – ArtStationTurner ‘Fortnite around the world, and the FaZe Clan star got the better of Ninja thanks to an incredible play using a Spike Trap. Tfue is widely recognized as one of the most talented Fortnite players in the world, regularly finishing at the top of competitive Fortnite tournaments, and even claimed victory at the Fortnite SFall Skirmish with FaZe Clan teammate Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore. Meanwhile, Ninja is regarded as the face of Fortnite on Twitch, exploding to the top of the popular streaming platform thanks to the battle royale title, and has remained there ever since. Fortnite fans are always excited to see two of the biggest stars in the game face off, and they got their wish when Tfue and Ninja went head-to-head in the final circle of a Gauntlet Test Event match on Tuesday, March 19. With very few materials left to build with, and the circle closing around them, Tenney found himself in an extremely difficult situation, as the streamer had failed to pick up wood or metal from previous eliminations. Building himself into a box,Tfue tried to protect himself while he figured out his next move. Ninja had other ideas, breaking down a wall and attempting to hunt down his opponent, who unbeknownst to him was actually the FaZe Clan star. Unfortunately for Ninja, his aggression would inevitably his downfall, as Tfue quickly built a ramp to protect himself and then threw down two Spike Traps, knocking down Ninja before eventually eliminating him. “I shouldn’t have went in on that,” acknowledged Ninja, as he realized his mistake. Fortnite fans can expect to see Ninja continue to practise in this kind of setting, as he sets his sights on competing at the Fortnite World Cup which takes place in July. With Tfue also likely to be in attendance at the event, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that these two could relive this confrontation on Fortnite’s biggest stage.

  • Tfue and NICKMERCS blast cheaters who qualified for Fortnite World Cup – Dexerto

Tfue and NICKMERCS blast cheaters who qualified for Fortnite World Cup FaZeClanPopular Twitch stars, Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff shared their thoughts on the previously banned XXiF qualifying for the Fortnite World Cup Duos tournament. The Fortnite World Cup is expected to be one of the biggest esports tournament in history, with a prize pool of $30 million up for grabs for those who manage to qualify for the New York event. With many of world’s top players battling it out for a spot, some players have even been caught going to the extremes of cheating in attempt to qualify for the the finals. One of the players, XXiF, was found guilty of teaming in the solo qualifiers and received a 14-day-ban following Week 3 of the online tournament, has since qualified during Week 8 in the NA East region. Many players and fans were quite unhappy when they found out that pro players Damion ‘XXiF’ C. and Ronald ‘Ronaldo’ Mach finished with 91 points, booking their place in the finals after finishing in 3rd place overall. NICKMERCS was among the few to speak out once it was confirmed that they would be attending the World Cup and began questioning if they were cheating again after finding a tweet from XXiF allegedly teaming with one of the players he killed in Week 8, saying, “that relays guy, is the guy who landed on him.” Although it still remains unclear if they were cheating again, NICKMERCS seemed convinced of it and didn’t want to them to be part of the tournament finals in New York, “I believe fully now that’s all I needed to see […] that’s dirty.” Tfue also shared his thoughts on the cheating accusations in a more light-hearted manner, jokingly saying, “Listen, I don’t think they’ve ever cheated but I know where I’m landing the last week of duos,” Tfue was referring to the place where XXiF supposedly got the the free kills from his former teammate “relays13fn” and went on to joke that all of the “bots” land there and that he could take advantage of it, saying, “Just get free kills [there] every week.” Tfue and NICKMERCS were among many of the competitive community who were unhappy with the qualification of the duo, such as caster DrLupo who did not hold back. Despite the latest set of cheating accusations against the pair, they are still set to compete in New York at the tournament’s finals. The event is set to take place on July 26 and will feature some of the biggest names in competitive Fortnite Battle Royale taking part in the Solo and Duo tournaments.

  • Tfue, NateHill, SypherPK and more react to missing out on $1 million Fortnite Winter Royale – Dexerto

Tfue, NateHill, SypherPK and more react to missing out on $1 million Fortnite Winter Royale The qualifying for the Fortnite Winter Royale is now complete, with 200 players from North America and Europe securing their place in their respective continent’s grand finals. The competition’s open format meant that any player who fancied their chances in the qualifiers could compete, and attempt to bring home a share of the massive prize pool. Unlike previous invitational Fortnite esports tournaments, professional players and popular streamers had to qualify like everyone else, and when the dust settled on two days worth of intense gameplay, a lot of big names found themselves outside of the qualifying pool. One of the biggest shocks during the qualifying portion of the tournament was seeing FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney place outside of the Top 200. Tfue sits at the top of the highest earning Fortnite players list, but won’t be able to add to that during the Winter Royale, harshly labelling himself as “trash.” Tenney’s teammate Nate Hill also failed to qualify for the North American finals, expressing his disappointment in the current state of the game by tweeting out that Fortnite is: “Not the game I fell in love with.” 100 Thieves streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff missed out on the top 200. Kolcheff, who is well known amongst Fortnite fans for using a controller, didn’t qualify but congratulated everyone who had it made it, and wished them luck in the next round. Wild stream fam, haven’t grinded Fortnite like that ever. Wasn’t able to qualify but big congrats to everybody that did, GL in the next round. Also, Emus Bday is tomorrow, gonna be off the grid. The Luminosity player was happy with his performance, tweeting: “Didn’t qualify but I’ve become a much better Fortnite player and had a good time. Definitely some work to be done to make it more enjoyable, but overall I had a great time.” Got 28 points again. Didn’t qualify but I’ve become a much better fortnite player and had a good time. • Tfue mocks Fortnite pros following FNCS landing spot drama – Dexerto

Tfue mocks Fortnite pros following FNCS landing spot drama Popular content creator Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney fired shots at some of his fellow Fortnite competitors who choose to follow where he lands in-game following his FNCS controversy. Many of Fortnite’s streamers and personalities often find themselves as a target when loading into a game, as fellow players look to test their skills against the big-names for bragging rights. Twitch star Tfue is among those who are frequently targeted during online games and after recently competing in the Fortnite Championship Series, his squad claimed that even some of their fellow pros were out to get them – which led to some heated arguments about the online event. The incident saw Tfue and Cloak’s squad drop out of the tournament early, finishing in 25th place on the day before blaming one another for the team’s failures despite being in a difficult situation. Almost a week after their dramatic FNCS failure, Tfue decided to poke fun at some of his competitors after he was apparently told that they had only landed at Steamy Stacks after knowing that his popular squad would be there. “That is true, Speedy even said that,” he confirmed before jokingly imitating his fellow pros. “Where does Tfue land? Oh, he lands cigarette dude, lets 50-50 him bro, lets double up.” Tfue’s longtime duo Cloakzy had also mocked his fellow competitors after their usual landing spot of Steamy Stacks attracted more players during the FNCS event, suggesting that those who followed them did not care about trying to win the game. Cloak claimed that both of the teams had targeted the server’s most popular streamers had little to lose anyway because they were apparently in “last place” before defeating his squad in-game. Both teams in last place rotating into steamy in finals pic.twitter.com/Zhd6MLFER7 — cloakzy (@cloakzy) November 25, 2019 Fortnite star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins also weighed in on the controversy claiming that he would not be able to get away with talking to his teammates in the same fashion that Tfue did during their FNCS meltdown. Unfortunately for Tfue, there is not a lot he can do to counter players who choose to land at his usual landing spots without giving up an early loot advantage as it is not against the rules – despite being considered unfair by many viewers. It is every man for himself, after all.

  • Tfue mocks FaZe Diggy as “dogsh*t” after Fortnite Winter Royale – Dexerto

Tfue mocks FaZe Diggy as “dogsh*t” after Fortnite Winter Royale Fortnite star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney decided to put a spin on FaZe Clan’s Kolbe ‘Diggy’ Cordon’s in-game tag to deliver a roast on him being pipped to a win in the Winter Royale event. Even though he hasn’t had the success in competitive Fortnite that he may have liked, Tfue is still undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the scene. His streams, be they tournaments, practices, or just him taking on public matches attract thousands of viewers each and every time. With the Winter Royale in full-swing, Tenney has been trying out a different duo partner in the form of console player ‘Scoped’ instead of linking back up with Dennis ‘cloak’ Lepore, with who he played with as a part of FaZe Clan. With Tfue’s lawsuit against FaZe still ongoing, the Fortnite pro hasn’t been averse to taking subtle jabs at the organization ever since their first falling out back in late May. While he may have kept things low key more recently, he has taken shots towards players who are still under the FaZe umbrella – including fellow Fortnite professional Diggy. After Diggy and his duo ‘Marz‘ finished second in a Winter Royale match-up, Tfue expressed his joy that they had failed to win, by putting a twist on their name. “I’m glad that Kree and Bucke won over f**king Doggy and f**king Marz dude. Those kids are dog (s**t),” he said. “Bruno Mars and Doggy.” Some viewers may have pointed out that Tfue and his new duo partner managed to finish someway below the runners-up, finding themselves sat in tenth with 29 fewer points. The duo of Diggy and Marz have already impressed in the Winter Royale, getting a win under their belt on December 20 – beating out Tfue and Scoped in 8th. Regardless , that won’t matter to Tfue as he seemed pretty pleased with his play on words and the dig at his former fellow FaZe member. He and Scoped will have their chance to make a mark on the Winter Roayle as there are still games to be played and cash to be won – especially if they can build on their early top-ten foundations.

  • Tfue mind blown by crazy Fortnite “teleporting” glitch – Dexerto

Tfue mind blown by crazy Fortnite “teleporting” glitch Twitch: Tfue/Epic GamesTwitch star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney was left mindblown by a Fortnite bug that managed to give him a helping hand in reaching some high ground above his foes. After the success it had in Fortnite Season X, the FNCS has been going strong ever since – with the format returning to duos events for Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2. All of the top names, and a few rising stars, have been competing – with plenty of focus being placed on Tfue. The former FaZe Clan member, who dominated early competitive games and events teaming with Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore, has a new duos partner in the form of ‘Scoped’ but when things looked bleak for the pair on April 11, Tfue managed to get a surprising helping hand from the battle royale. During one of their FNCS games, Tfue and Scoped had been looking to get to the high ground but didn’t manage to have a launchpad as they needed. Though, as they looked to rotate, Tenney hoped inside an upside-down boat that was stuck inside his building and was immediately sent skywards. “Bro, what the f**k! Look at me,” he called out in a surprised tone after landing on top of the team’s building. Scoped himself was even stunned by what he saw, noting that Tfue had teleported but the streaming star still couldn’t believe it. “Dude, what the f**k was that? That was f**king crazy!” Tenney added as he started making way back down towards his partner so they could stick together. Whatever had caused the glitch to occur quickly destroyed the boat in question, leaving Tfue and Scoped to continue on foot once the former had reached solid ground again. If it becomes something that is more widespread than one random occurrence in an FNCS match, Epic Games will likely have to investigate and see what they can do to fix things.

  • Tfue mind blown as Fortnite ‘ghost bullets’ cost him eliminations – Dexerto

Tfue mind blown as Fortnite ‘ghost bullets’ cost him eliminations Twitch: tfueFortnite star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney was left baffled while playing in an intense Fortnite match with duo Scoped, as his shots seemed to not register, despite appearing clearly on target. Fortnite is no stranger to bizarre bugs and weird occurrences, but generally, these things get fixed pretty quickly by developers at Epic Games, so it’s not often something to be too concerned about. However, when you’re competing for money, it’s a different story, and this bug could have completely ruined Tfue’s match if things were a little different – and bugs affecting Tfue are always bound to cause a stir. While playing in some duo scrims with Scoped in preparation for the FNCS finals, the duo had an impressive high-ground position to have good visibility on their enemies while remaining protected, but it didn’t quite work out exactly as intended. Loaded to the brim with small bullets, Tfue was raining down fire on any enemy that came near him with the minigun – but the bullets seemed to just fly through them. If it was only one player, you could probably say he got poor luck with his bloom, but as three enemies fly past him he locks onto each one and manages not to do any damage to any of them, even though it definitely seems as though he should be hitting them. While his bullets are constantly missing, Tfue simply repeats “I’m blanking, bro,” clearly getting increasingly dismayed at every opponent that flies past him without taking any damage. The first time he said it, Scoped said that some of his bullets were blanking, too, so it may have simply been a server-side issue that had them both firing ghost bullets, but it’s impossible to be sure. Tfue has taken issue with Fortnite for several reasons in recent months, including going as far as to say he’s considering moving to a different state just to get better ping. If this becomes a recurring issue, it may add more fuel to the fire about the game that helped him blow up. It remains to be seen whether Epic Games look into this, but it could become a big issue if they plan on having more major tournaments in the near future with money on the line.

  • Tfue made a budget Fortnite cosplay for the Fall Skirmish Trial and it’s amazing – Dexerto

Tfue made a budget Fortnite cosplay for the Fall Skirmish Trial and it’s amazing FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney took his ‘Jonesy’ persona to a whole new level with this cosplay creation for Week 2 of the Fall Skirmish. During Wednesday’s edition of the Fall Skirmish Trials, players were tasked with the ‘Budget Cosplay’ challenge where they had to create the most impressive Fortnite cosplay within the time limit. Tfue was one of the first players to step up to the task with his best rendition of the ‘Jonesy’ skin that he has made popular over the last few months. The video quickly made its way around the internet as everyone was blown away by Tfue’s uncanny likeness to the in-game skin. Even former Call of Duty caster turned Fortnite pro Jack ‘CourageJD’ Dunlop weighed in on the cosplay on Twitter, saying “I’m lowkey heated my parents didn’t make me look like a Fortnite skin 24 years ago.” Tfue really going to win the cosplay competition because he was birthed as a default skin… I’m lowkey heated my parents didn’t make me look like a Fortnite skin 24 years ago. — OpTic CouRage (@CouRageJD) October 3, 2018 Each week of the Fall Skirmish has featured different trials where players compete in wacky challenges in order to rack up points for their respective teams, with today’s cosplay contest being just one of the many to have taken place. The winners of the ‘Budget Cosplay’ contest will be announced during the Week 3 broadcast of the Summer Skirmish. While we aren’t sure if Tfue will be the ultimate winner, he’s sure got our vote.

  • Tfue left speechless after bizarre Fortnite bug steals kill – Dexerto

Tfue left speechless after bizarre Fortnite bug steals kill Popular Fortnite streamer Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney could hardly believe what he was seeing when another player landed near him in Risky Reels and exhibited some exceedingly strange behavior. Sometimes, when something really fishy happens in-game, you need to take a second to try and digest what you just saw. Even then, the time you spend reflecting might just raise more questions rather than provide any answers. Tfue, who has amassed millions of followers on Twitch and is regarded as one of the best Fortnite players on the planet, was subject to one such bemusing incident, leaving him and his tens of thousands of viewers lost for words. During a December 6 stream, Tfue was playing a solo game of Fortnite when another player came parasailing in over the horizon, heading toward the cars parked in front of the Risky Reels movie screen. But as Turner lined up his reticle, the shots somehow didn’t connect. “He’s lagging bro!” Tfue exclaimed. “What the f**k is that?” he asked aloud as the player disappeared momentarily from the pro’s sight before making their landing. But, as the streamer constructed a ramp to get a better vantage point, he saw something even more bizarre. Four copies of the player he tried to shoot, standing motionless on bales of hay in front of the big screen. Tfue took shots at all of them with no damage registering despite clearly hitting them, and one-by-one, the invincible copies disappeared, leaving the Fortnite pro with zero kills from the ordeal – but lots of questions. Tfue’s mild confusion had turned into full-blown shock, as he sat silently with his mouth agape for a few seconds trying to comprehend what he just saw. With no answers materializing, he briefly collected himself and moved on, as one can only do when you’ve still got a game to win. Weird bugs and glitches are by no means uncommon, with casual and pro players discovering new and unique ones seemingly all the time. Epic Games are typically graded for how quickly they can identify, address, and resolve issues as they appear. This isn’t even the first time in recent memory a weird bug like this has happened to Tfue, who benefitted from a shot not registering properly just a week prior to this occasion. To Tfue and to anyone else who’s watched this strange moment, there are still lots of questions to be answered, particularly whether this was a bug or a glitch or a failed attempt at hacking. We’ll see whether it gets addressed or not when big changes come to Fortnite Chapter 2.

  • Tfue lays out hilariously specific condition for making Fortnite return – Dexerto

Tfue lays out hilariously specific condition for making Fortnite return IG: Tfue / Epic GamesFormer Fortnite pro player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has laid out his hilariously specific condition for making a return to Epic Games’ battle royale, as he continues to stream away from the game that saw him amass millions of followers. Recent visitors to Tfue’s Twitch channel would be forgiven for not knowing that he once dominated the Fortnite streaming world in a way that Ninja, Myth, and others did too. The former FaZe Clan star has majorly cut down on his time with Epic Games’ building BR, opting instead for some of its rivals like Warzone and Apex Legends. However, the potential of a return has never quite vanished completely, with some fans quietly hopeful that he’ll drop back into Fortnite at some point in the near future. Comments made to SypherPK suggest a return is unlikely though, with the 23-year-old laying out a hilariously specific condition to make his return. A September 25 YouTube video saw Sypher visit Tfue’s house, only to ask the question that is on the lips of many of Tenney’s fans. “I got an important question for all your fans,” Sypher said. “When are you coming back to Fortnite?” Tfue, never one to take things too seriously, simply responded: “Erm, when the Grotto comes back.” Timestamp: 0:14 The Grotto was an underground POI, located between Dirty Docks and Retail Row, that became Tfue’s go-to spot when starting games. It first appeared in Chapter 2’s second season but was made completely inaccessible after it was flooded in Season 3. Perhaps that’s why Tfue laid it out as his condition for returning to Fortnite, but maybe Epic will pick up his gauntlet and drain the POI when Season 9 drops.

  • Tfue slams battle royale esports amid controversial Fortnite World Cup qualifiers – Dexerto

Tfue slams battle royale esports amid controversial Fortnite World Cup qualifiers L: FaZe Clan/R: Reddit u/FifaDKFaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has revealed that he is “glad” he does not have to compete in this week’s Fortnite Battle Royale World Cup Qualifiers, after explaining that he thinks battle royale games are “shit esports”. There has long been debate about the validity of battle royales as an esport, given the inherent ‘luck’ aspect regarding the loot players find, the movement of the storm and so on. Popular streamers such as shroud and xQc have been critical of the nature of competitive Fortnite Battle Royale; particularly players’ tendencies to play very defensively. Battle Royale Games have always been dawgshit for competitive what’s new? — Tfue (@TTfue) May 10, 2019 Tfue is one of the community’s most outspoken and respected figures, often sharing his opinion on updates and controversies. Now, though, he has criticized the esport in which he competes, in a series of tweets from May 10 and 11. “Battle Royale Games have always been dawgshit for competitive what’s new?” he asked. Criticism has particularly centered on how the final circle in many competitive games has so many players left, leaving a victory more up to luck than anything else. In response to a tweet asking if he was doing the “complain challenge”, Tfue stated that he loves battle royale esports even though he accepts that they’ve always been “dawg shit”. He went on to tweet that he “feels bad” for fellow professional players who are still trying to qualify for the World Cup. Tfue qualified for the World Cup after finishing first in Week 3 of the NA’s East Coast division, so he no longer has to compete for the solo tournament. On May 11, Epic Games tweeted that a new issue with vehicles, which prevents players from being able to leave them, means that all vehicles will be disabled in this weekend’s tournaments. This issue, paired with the ongoing complaints surrounding Fortnite Battle Royale as a competitive game, prompted Tfue to state that he was “so glad” he was not playing this weekend. I feel bad for players trying to qualify this week good luck :raised_hands::skin-tone-2: — Tfue (@TTfue) May 11, 2019 Tfue has since stated that the World Cup will be his final competitive event, as he favours streaming. Epic Games have come under fire of late after making significant changes to their game in the middle of World Cup Qualifiers. These changes include removing the pump shotgun from the game entirely, leading to a huge meta-change at a key point in the game’s lifespan. Popular players such as TimTheTatman and Ninja tweeted that they were struggling to adjust to the game without the pump shotgun. Tfue, though, has a lot more time to adjust, as he is only participating in the duos qualifiers until the tournament takes place in July of this year.

  • Tfue hits out at Epic Games for patching Fortnite shield exploit – Dexerto

Tfue hits out at Epic Games for patching Fortnite shield exploit Fortnite star Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney has hit out at Epic Games for their recent patch that has taken away the ability to quickly destroy Slurp Juice trucks by building a cone underneath. With the release of Fortnite Chapter 2 back in October, Epic Games changed up the much-loved battle royale map in favor of some new points of interest. One of the biggest changes came with the addition of Slurpy Swamp, an area where players can claim some free shield by taking a swim in the glowing swamp or ruining the factory’s barrels, trucks, and pipelines. There is a tradeoff to getting the shield from the factory, however, as the developers gave the barrels, trucks, and pipelines high health points – meaning they take a while to destroy. Players have found ways to instantly destroy them, with the most popular method coming from building a cone, but the developers recently patched that – much to the dismay of many fans. Tfue himself joined that disappointed bunch of fans during his December 13 stream when he discovered that the popular trick had been taken away. “Dude, are you kidding me Epic Games?” Tenney said after trying to destroy a slurp truck with the cone build. “Epic Games, suck my ass, ok. I know you guys watch my f**king stream and be like ‘oh yeah, we can’t any of that’ come on dude.” Tfue wasn’t finished there though, as he questioned why the developers would make the change. “Like, why? Bro, someone literally went out of their way and took the time out of their day and got fucking paid to make it to where you can’t build to break a f**king truck. Like, that was somebody’s priority. That is crazy. Like why? Did it really affect the game that much?” Now, despite a number of big-name players like Tfue speaking out on their dislike of the change, it seems unlikely that Epic Games will revert back to the way things were. While they could do so, it looks as if players will just have to deal with breaking the trucks with their pickaxes and hoping that nobody sneaks up behind them.

  • Tfue hits out at “clout farmers” for ruining FNCS duos finals – Dexerto

Tfue hits out at “clout farmers” for ruining FNCS duos finals Tfue/Epic GamesFortnite star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney was left stunned after his final FNCS match was ruined by “griefers”, who intentionally played aggressively towards him and his duo partner Scoped. The randomness of Fortnite’s battle royale mode has made for some pretty special competitive moments over past events. Who can forget the rampage that Bugha went on during the World Cup – blowing away the opposition to scoop up the $3,000,000 grand prize. However, there are moments that make everyone involved raise their eyebrows. Players have been berated for ‘taking’ another team’s drop spot, loot routes, and playing aggressively by pushing when timing suggests that they shouldn’t be doing so. That last controversy-filled play-style hampered Tfue’s Fortnite Championship Series performance – and he wasn’t happy about it. During the final game of the FNCS Finals, Tfue and his partner Scoped dropped at their usual spot of the Grotto – but plenty of other teams dropped too. Extra teams aren’t all that unusual – the pair did battle with Chap and Av prior to the FNCS Finals. The extra teams during their final match forced them to try and change things up as they got into multiple engagements. Tfue then changed his looting spot, but still let his feelings known. “Dude, everyone is trying to grief us last game,” he said as Scoped pointed out that it was four teams on their position. “It’s because I have the most viewers, if you’re not going to qualify, might as well try and kill me you know.” Though, as Tfue tried to turn back up and take his usual loot path of going into the water and waiting for the zone, he was pushed by an enemy team. “I’m getting fucking pushed for some reason. I don’t know,” he said after being asked who was attacking him. “It’s clout farmers bro. This s**t is so f**king cringe. Every single tournament in the last game. These kids are such f**king clout farmers bro, what are they doing?” Scoped fell to his death a few minutes later, ruining the pair’s chance of a good finish in the FNCS as they ended up in 16th. The duo noted that moving forward they will probably have to rethink their strategy so they can prevent similar things happening. However, a big name like Tfue will always be a target so we could see the ‘griefers’ adjust accordingly.

  • FaZe Clan’s Tfue has found a way to harness the Fortnite Cube’s power – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Tfue has found a way to harness the Fortnite Cube’s power Professional Fortnite player Tyler ‘Tfue’ Tenney has found a clever way to use the Fortnite cube to his advantage. Tfue was streaming solo matches when he came up with an idea to try and use the Fortnite cube as a way to boost jump him into the air. The FaZe Clan member landed on the newly formed floating island above the map, and built his way down the south side of the island using stairs. By building down, Tfue was able to find the only spot that players can fire at the cube from an elevated angle above it. Shooting the cube causes it to fire a lightning strike at you, dealing damage and pushing you away from it. Tfue fired off a few shots at the cube, then dropped off the stairs that he had built. Just as he began to drop, the Cube punished Tfue for his actions, firing a bolt of lightning at the streamer. While for some getting damaged by the cube would be annoying, Tfue was happy to take a shot from the giant purple object. The force of the strike from the cube sent Tfue flying into the air, and by pulling his umbrella out, Tenney was able to fly high over Tilted Towers and head towards Salty Springs. It will be interesting to see if Tfue decides to employ this tactic when he takes part in the second week of the Fortnite Fall Skirmish, starting on Friday, September 28.

  • Stream snipers bombard Tfue after he forgets to change Fortnite settings – Dexerto

Stream snipers bombard Tfue after he forgets to change Fortnite settings Stream snipers can be the bane of existence for popular Twitch stars, as Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney recently experienced the hard way. Chapter Two of Fortnite recently launched on October 10 and with it came a brand new map. In a recent match on the new terrain however, Tfue quickly discovered that far too many players were chasing him down. After being picked off with dozens of opponents still in the game, the Twitch star quickly caught onto the situation at hand and went back into the replay to vent his frustrations. In an October 22 broadcast, the popular Fortnite professional seemingly forgot to switch on the Streamer Mode function. Read more: Best guns in Fortnite Chapter Two – As a result, a large portion of the Battle Royale lobby immediately flocked to his location nearby Risky Reels, and all but teamed up in order to take him out of the match. “Oh wow, it appears that every single person in the radius is actually looking towards Risky Reels, what an unusual turn of events we have here,” he sarcastically joked. With an abundance of players rotating through the map and encircling Tfue’s position, the streamer zoomed through the replay and showcased how absurd the eventual build-fight really was. Epic Games introduced Streamer Mode to Fortnite in order to combat the very issue exemplified throughout the broadcast. If there’s no stream delay, the fan will be aware of the exact location and should have a much easier time hunting the content creator down. Streamer Mode ensures that display names remain anonymous, meaning that Tfue could have easily hidden his identity in the lobby if only he’d toggled the feature on. A look at the Streamer Mode settings in Fortnite. The streamer has gone on record and called Chapter Two of Fortnite “the worst thing ever.” It definitely seems as though this latest mishap won’t be doing any favors to help change his mind anytime soon.

  • Tfue goes on furious rant after getting killed by mobile Fortnite player – Dexerto

Tfue goes on furious rant after getting killed by mobile Fortnite player Twitch: Tfue / Epic GamesTurner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney is widely recognized as one of the greatest Fortnite players of all time, but the streamer and pro player couldn’t help but hit out at his opponent when he died to an enemy he believed was using a mobile device. One of the things that makes Fortnite so incredibly successful is the fact that it is available on any platform, with PC players, console users, and anyone who owns a tablet or smartphone able to hop into the Battle Bus in search of Victory Royales, even if playing on a phone puts you at a severe disadvantage against others using larger screens and input devices compared to touch screens. That didn’t stop a mobile player from taking down Tfue during his February 12 “Corona stream”, which saw the pro enjoying some beers while playing solos, although his happiness quickly turned to frustration when he was sent back to the lobby by someone using a phone. After finding himself in a Fortnite build battle against the apparent mobile opponent, Tfue found himself eliminated at their hands, immediately launching into a tirade as he struggled to comprehend what had happened. To make matters worse, his enemy started to perform the ‘donkey laugh’ after taking him down, only adding to the 22-year-old’s frustration. “Who the f**k emotes bro, it’s 2020,” Tfue fumed. “You’re 12, and you play on mobile.” “Imagine laughing and sucking that much c*ck at shooting an [assault rifle] at a f**king guy who’s barely moving. Wild! You don’t even know how to switch guns brother, you don’t even know how to switch guns! I’m so salty right now. I’m so mad bro, I’m about to blow a f**king blood vessel!” Of course, had Tfue been playing as hard as he could, it’s likely that he would have wiped out the player pretty easily, especially after watching him struggle to build and miss a number of shots with his weapon when another enemy appeared. The good news is, Tfue can place the blame on the beer he was drinking and pretend that it’s the only reason his enemy took him out, although it did give his viewers a hilarious moment, and proof that even the best Fortnite players can make a mistake.

  • Tfue furious as frustrating ‘player carry’ bug costs him Fortnite game – Dexerto

Tfue furious as frustrating ‘player carry’ bug costs him Fortnite game Professional Fortnite player Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney was furious when he found himself on the wrong side of a frustrating glitch with a downed opponent which ended up costing him the match while playing in scrims. Fortnite remains one of the world’s most popular games over two years after its release, and Tfue is one of the biggest names associated with the battle royale title, bringing in thousands of views while he streams and winning a number of esports tournaments throughout his career. Despite playing the game for years, it doesn’t mean that he doesn’t get frustrated by the same bugs that normal players deal with, and couldn’t believe his eyes when he encountered a strange glitch involving a downed opponent that leaves you helpless to defend against attacks from enemy players. At the beginning of Fortnite’s Chapter 2, Epic Games introduced the ability to carry downed opponents, meaning players can pick up and move their teammates who are knocked down, or grab opponents and take them away from their squad so they can’t be revived. This new mechanic can be extremely useful, but it appears that it’s causing issues as Tfue found out during pro scrims on January 13. While playing alongside an already-eliminated Scoped, Tfue managed to take down an opponent with a Tactical Shotgun, competing in the endgame of the match as the final 20 players battled to secure victory. With an enemy pushing behind him, the 22-year-old quickly spun to face his opponent, hoping to blast him with the weapon too, only to find the player he had just taken down appear on his shoulders, leaving him defenseless with no gun in hand as he was wiped out of the match. “No, why is that a bug, man?” fumed Tfue. “Like it’s still in the game bro. Nice, I’m holding a f**king dead body so I can’t shoot. I hear a kid coming up behind me and the next thing you know, I’m holding a dead body. This is f**king great. This is sick.” This glitch can cause issues for players at any time, but in the heat of battle at the end of a match, there likely couldn’t be a worse moment to be affected by it. It’s no surprise that Tfue was frustrated, as with Storm Surge activated he was in the final moments of the game and may have believed he had a chance at winning the match had this not happened to him. Unfortunately for the pro player, there’s currently no confirmed fix on the way from Epic Games, but many will be hoping that the next patch for Fortnite will address it, with the 11.40 update expected to release over the next few days.

  • Tfue frustrated after Fortnite gliding bug ruins his game – Dexerto

Tfue frustrated after Fortnite gliding bug ruins his game Twitch: Tfue/Epic GamesPopular Fortnite professional Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney was left pretty confused when a strange stuttering bug denied him and his teammate a safe landing, leading to an early elimination. Having success in a game of Fortnite comes down to being able to outgun and outbuild your opponent, while also having some luck on your side when it comes to looting an area for equipment. In games between pro players, they have their own routine when it comes to jumping out the battle bus – as they head to a regular landing spot and follow their set out ‘loot path’ that should give them a chance at winning. Though, sometimes, the game intervenes and throws in a curveball at them, leading to a more difficult start than normal. That was the case for Tfue and his teammate Scoped during their February 10 round of matches, as the battle royale title decided that the most opportune time for a bug to rear its head would be during the landing phase. As Tfue was gliding towards his regular spot of the cigarette-looking smoke stack in Steamy Stacks, his game quickly stuttered and sent him off course. “My game just bugged out, I can’t land there with you,” he called out as Scoped became engaged in a fight. Unfortunately for the streamer, his teammate lost that fight, was knocked down, and needed a revive. “Bro, what the f**k was that bug?” Tfue called out. “Like, you literally just died because my game f**ked up, literally.” The strange bug isn’t the only one that has affected players in recent days, with many reporting that the recently unvaulted launch pads just don’t work at all from time to time. It remains to be seen if Epic Games are aware of the issue and plan to have it fixed in the time for the launch of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 on Thursday, February 20. Fans, though, will be hoping these problems are resolved shortly.

  • Tfue may have found a way to compete in Fortnite Trios Finals without Cloak – Dexerto

Tfue may have found a way to compete in Fortnite Trios Finals without Cloak Tfue, InstagramIt looks as though Fortnite star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has found a way to continue competing in Fortnite’s Trios tournament series without Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore as their professional relationship continues to spiral. It’s no secret that Tfue and his trio partners Cloak and Thomas ‘72hrs’ Mulligan haven’t been on the best of terms in recent days. News first broke about the rift on September 7, when he tweeted he was looking for a new trio to “take competitive seriously.” When word got out that the former FaZe Clan star was trying out a new trio, many pointed out that switching teams could result in him forfeiting his qualification for the trio playoffs to be held later in September. According to competition rules, teams that qualify for the next round will lose their spot if one of the players ends up leaving, which would obviously be equally detrimental for all three stars. Read more: Hashtag trending as players demand more – However, now it looks as though he may have discovered a legal way to play in the next round of the competition without any of them having to forfeit their spot, thanks to a section hidden deep down in the official rules. 4.2.7 Without limiting Section 4.2.2, teams that qualify for the Season Finals may perform a one-time trade of one of their players with another single player from a different team that has also qualified for the Season Finals within the same region. This trade must occur before the trade deadline prior to the start of the Group Stage on September 17, 2019 at 11:00 PM EST. All six (6) involved players must unanimously agree and request the trade by contacting an Event Administrator, reachable via email at tournaments@epicgames.com. There are some distinctions that could play a role in the former FaZe player’s next steps. Mainly, all six players between the two teams have to unanimously agree on the swap, meaning Cloak and 72hrs are going to have to be onboard with any changes to the rosters, including taking on the unwanted player from the other team. Read more: Tfue explains why he can’t forgive Cloak – The other factor is a time limit placed on the trade. Section 4.2.7 reads that the transfer policy is only available before the start of the group stages on Tuesday, September 17, which means Tenney is going to need to get a hustle on if he wants to pull the trigger on the trade. Whether or not the Fortnite icon does make the call on his future away from the pair, the fact that he’s investigating legal ways to get out of their grouping for finals seems to point towards the long-standing trio not taking to the stage together any time soon. Things came to a head when Cloak called him an “idiot” and a “dumbass” for not accepting the sponsorship cash, which sparked Tenney to reveal he now knows who his “real friends” in the competitive Fortnite scene are. –

  • Tfue’s Fortnite World Cup qualifier match ruined by infamous cannon bug – Dexerto

Tfue’s Fortnite World Cup qualifier match ruined by infamous cannon bug Tfue – Twitch / Epic GamesFortnite Battle Royale pro Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney has already qualified for the World Cup and it’s a good thing he has because one of his matches was completely wasted due to a bug. Any player or viewer of Fortnite Battle Royale knows the game has its fair share of bugs but some of them are more prevalent than others. During a World Cup qualifying match on May 25, Tfue came across one of the more frustrating bugs in the game that led to an early exit in one of his matches and cost him valuable points. Fire away! Tfue likes to land at the block for his drops for the World Cup and that hasn’t changed for this week. The Block changes up quite often so it’s not really ever something that you can rely on from week to week but he hasn’t let that stop him. The current block features the cannons and there’s currently a bug that plagues them that can cause you to go in a different direction than what you expected when shot out of one. This bug reared its ugly head again at the worst possible time. “Yo, there’s no way the fucking cannon just bugged,” he said. “That’s so unlucky.” For what it’s worth, he was able to laugh it off, likely due to the fact he had already wrapped up a spot in the World Cup. This was the first World Cup stream and just his second stream overall since filing the lawsuit against FaZe Clan. All mention of the esports organization has been removed from his stream, including the camera overlay and team on his Twitch account. The situation is far from over but Tfue doesn’t appear to be letting it affect his streaming ability.

  • FaZe Clan’s Tfue blasts Fortnite solos, explains why they take no skill – Dexerto

FaZe Clan’s Tfue blasts Fortnite solos, explains why they take no skill Epic Games/Tfue TwitchMany players believe Fortnite isn’t in a great state right now and FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney agreed, blasting the solos playlist by saying it takes no skill. Fortnite’s v8.20 update ruined the game for a lot of players and many of the top streamers have been vocal about the changes. Streamers like Ninja, CouRage, TimTheTatman and Cloak have all been against the update while Tfue has remained supportive of the changes, even going so far to call it one of the best updates to hit the game. That doesn’t mean Tfue doesn’t have his issues with the game in its current state because he definitely does. Read More: Top 20 highest earning Fortnite pro players – During a stream after a prolonged battle, Tfue went off on the state of solos in Fortnite. He says there is a major problem in the game with them and they require little to no skill. You can hear Tfue’s thoughts on the matter at around the 1:10 mark in the video. Tfue thinks Fortnite solos require no skill “Dude, like this, is what I’m talking about,” Tfue said. “This is why solos [are] so trash. What is there to do? What could I have done differently? Just push him? That’s exactly what I did and now I’m dead.” He was asked by a viewer on how to counter somebody sitting in a box where he essentially said it’s impossible. “The answer to that is you don’t and that is what is wrong with solos in this game.” Tfue doesn’t mince words when it comes to his thoughts on Fortnite and he went more in-depth with them. “When somebody is sitting in a box, there’s nothing you can do,” Tfue said. “That is exactly my point why solos in this game [aren’t] competitive at all. Players turtling up has long been an issue with Fortnite but now players have that and the new Baller vehicle to deal with. It seems like for every step forward Fortnite takes with the game, several steps backward are taken with things like the Infinity Blade, planes and now Ballers.

  • Tfue & Fortnite pros hit out at Epic Games over ‘unplayable’ Season 3 – Dexerto

Tfue & Fortnite pros hit out at Epic Games over ‘unplayable’ Season 3 Epic Games/TfueTurner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and his teammates scoped and innocents, have hit out at Epic Games over the ‘unplayable’ state of Fortnite Season 3, as players continue to struggle with servers and in-game lag. Tfue is one Fortnite player who has transcended the building battle royale. Now one of the biggest names in the entire gaming community, he can be found playing other games like Warzone and Hyper Scape. Regardless, he still competes in Fortnite’s trio tournaments, now alongside innocents and scoped. The trio were playing together on July 16, when they decided to go on the offensive against a team in Catty Corner. However, their attack was halted by some very intrusive packet loss and lag, causing all the players to vocalize their frustrations with Epic. “Like how is this f**king game playable dude?” Tfue’s teammates ask. “The servers are so awful dude. This is making me want to f**king quit, dude. Fix your f**king game [Creative Director at Epic Games] Donald Mustard what the f**k am I playing?” Tfue, for his part, commented that he’s “going to sh*t out his eyes, in-game. I can’t f**king move! Bro I’m about to get another f**king watermelon, dude, it’s so bad!” We’re not quite sure what that means, but it doesn’t sound overly complimentary. Despite Fortnite rapidly approaching three years old, many prominent players have commented that the general server stability has got worse in Season 3. These issues have reared their heads in competitive Fortnite, with many players reporting significant lag in tournament matches. The lag frustrations are probably a motivating factor for Tfue heading over to other titles. Recent streams have seen him in Verdansk, racking up some big kill wins on Call of Duty’s sophomore battle royale. As far as Epic Games are concerned, they have not commented on the latency/connection issues, at least not publicly. For the latest from the developers, you can follow @FortniteStatus on Twitter.

  • Tfue loses his mind after Fortnite fall glitch derails Duos Cup run – Dexerto

Tfue loses his mind after Fortnite fall glitch derails Duos Cup run Twitch: Tfue / Epic GamesTurner ‘Tfue’ Tenney’s Daily Duos Cup run with ‘innocents’ didn’t get off to an amazing start on April 29, with Tfue accidentally killing his partner due to a weird fall glitch in water. Falling is one of the many ways you can die in Fortnite. However, water is meant to be your friend — not foe — when it comes to taking a leap of faith. You could have sworn the water was concrete though when Tfue and Innocents accidentally got caught up in a weird glitch out by Grotto, leading to the death of the latter just as their Duos Cup run was kicking off. While they were collecting materials deep out in the storm, Tfue and Innocents were looking to start rotating out and make it to the zone on the other side of the map. However, when Innocents went to climb onto Tfue’s boat, he suddenly was downed from 100-0. “What just happened bro? Did I just kill you with the boat,” said Tfue, very confused. “Why are you crawling in the water? You’ve gotta stop f**king crawling in the water. You’re drowning!” The killfeed lit up saying “Innocents got knocked out by a fall (27m)” although it was hardly even that. However, with him glitching out in the water, there was no saving him, with the killfeed changing its tune to “Tfue eliminated innocents with a great fall (0m).” The two joked about it, before Tfue kicked into action and looked to reboot his dead teammate. Going further into the zone, they managed to reset and get back into the game. Tfue didn’t let the funny moment slide though, taking jabs at Innocents the entire time. “It’s not my fault you decided to toaster-bath yourself,” he laughed. “I’ve never seen that shit in my life, I swear. That was the craziest shit.” Innocents himself mentioned that he had never seen a glitch like that ever as well, before the two deduced that they were just “outplayed” by Epic themselves. While their match didn’t get off to the greatest start, they managed to pull it back, with a 12 elimination second-place finish netting them 22 points. It was “the most f**ked up first game ever” by their standards, but it didn’t turn out too poorly. Tfue and Innocents ended their daily run with 78 points, including 48 elims, but no victory royales.

  • Tfue explains why he thinks Fortnite Chapter 2 is “the worst thing ever” – Dexerto

Tfue explains why he thinks Fortnite Chapter 2 is “the worst thing ever” Fortnite Battle Royale superstar Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has exploded about Chapter 2, calling the update “the worst thing ever” after facing a plague of issues on stream. Fortnite Chapter 2 has brought a ton of new content to Epic’s incredibly popular Battle Royale. Many elements have been updated, including a refreshed HUD in-game, while mechanics like fishing and boats have been added to accompany the new map. Like with every update, there’s bound to be a bug or two. However, the Chapter 2 update for Fortnite has opened up a whole new can of worms, and streamers like Tfue are not impressed. On an October 15 stream, the day of the Chapter 2 release, Tfue had a chance to try out the updated Fortnite, and he wasn’t stoked. Among trying to wrap his head around all of the new features, the streamer complained about lag and general performance issues. “The pump got nerfed pretty hard,” he said, describing why he swapped from pump shotgun to the TAC. “It’s still good, but the TAC is more reliable especially because it’s so f***ing laggy. My best case scenario is to hold out the tact like a bot and just shoot. “They f***ed this season up bro. This game sucks.” Segment starts at 0:30 for mobile users. While the game looks visually stunning with the updated graphics, it doesn’t make it any better to play. In fact, it feels like the game has gone backwards, according to Tfue. “Tfue’s game looks crisp as f***? It literally feels like the worst thing ever,” he said. Whether it’s a change in the netcode, or the additional in-game elements and rising player count adding stress onto the servers, either way, Tfue isn’t impressed with the amount of lag he is getting in his games. “That’s my biggest issue with Chapter 2,” he said. “I already had to deal with playing on 30 to 50 ping, but now it feels like I’m playing at 100. I’ve never felt at more of a disadvantage due to connection in my life. I can’t even play certain types of competitive any more.” Issues with performance aren’t the only thing plaguing Fortnite’s player base in Chapter 2. Hit detection in close-range seems to be off-kilter, with players being hit by stray bullets that never look like connecting. While there were a bunch of new features added to Fortnite, the game’s performance has dropped. There was also an exploit found that allows players to block damage from the storm by running into a wall in Slurpy Swamp, giving them unlimited health. While the update brought some much needed changes to the game, Epic Games will need to look at patching out these exploits and performance issues before they turn up the heat on Fortnite’s competitive scene in Chapter 2.

  • Tfue Forgets He Joined a PlayGround Lobby and Proceeds to Moan About the Lack of Opposition – Dexerto

Tfue Forgets He Joined a PlayGround Lobby and Proceeds to Moan About the Lack of Opposition FaZe Clan player Turner “Tfue” Tenney had his entire stream in hysterics as he explored a playground lobby in Fortnite – and complained about the lack of opposition. Tfue thought he had joined up for just a normal match of battle royale, and was then surprised to find absolutely no action whatsoever despite landing in a typically popular area. He still didn’t realize after a higher than normal amount of Llamas were present on the map (olayground has Llamas in abundance), as well as his entire stream chat trying to tell him his mistake. “There’s no way there is actually nobody here, there’s got to be at least like one dude. Hot drop, straight over paradise – no players. Zero people, that’s actually insane.” Eventually, the lightbulb goes off. Even his FaZe Clan teammate was telling him in the chat, spamming four times “you’re in playground idiot @tfue” – still his partner didn’t notice. After realizing his mistake, Tfue confirmed he wasn’t in fact trolling his viewers, as many of them thought, taking to Twitter to say he genuinely believed he was playing a solo battle royale match. 600https://twitter.com/OMGitsAliA/status/1031825045369368576 Tfue – a professional player for FaZe Clan – will at least have learned his lesson, and will always check first that he’s in an actual match before complaining about the lack of players in the lobby.

  • Tfue finally reveals why he quit Fortnite after 2 years of “crankin 90s” – Dexerto

Tfue finally reveals why he quit Fortnite after 2 years of “crankin 90s” Epic Games / Tfue InstagramOne of the biggest Fortnite streamers ever, Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, revealed why he quit the game that amassed him millions of followers and a lucrative streaming career. Since Fortnite’s battle royale component was released, the 22-year-old has been one of the most consistent content creators around the title. As for skill, at one time he was hailed as the best player, which only skyrocketed his popularity on Twitch. But after years of speaking out against design decisions and the subsequent release of Warzone, Tfue left behind his main source of content – sporadically popping back into Fortnite since. Only lightly talking about his Fortnite absence in the past, Tfue opened up about why he left on the ‘Brand Risk Podcast’ and how he’s expanded from the game since making the decision. “Two years of cranking 90s was just too much,” Tfue said. “I had to spice it up and play other things. Plus, I felt like I milked the game so much that, like, me playing it was almost digging myself into a pit.” When he first started uploading YouTube videos on Fortnite, he called it one of the “easiest and most polished” battle royales in the market at the time. That was largely true, as audiences from all age and skill groups eagerly hopped on to try it out. But as his popularity slowly grew on Twitch, he saw that Fortnite started to become a job instead of the title that consumed his gaming life. (Segment starts at 2:14) “I got to the point where the only reason I was playing it was for viewers and for my career,” he explained. “I just stopped caring about that and felt like I milked Fortnite for all that was worth, considering I was blowing up at the peak of it.” Tfue feels Fortnite “will die down, but (never) actually die,” and he’s already deep into games like Warzone to hold him over. Other bigtime streamers like DrLupo, CouRage, and Myth have also been separating from Epic Games’ battle royale, something we’re seeing more and more. While he made a name for himself on the Fortnite island, Tfue has been exploring greener pastures to take his streaming career to the next phase.

  • Tfue explains why sniping “takes no skill” and doesn’t belong in Fortnite – Dexerto

Tfue explains why sniping “takes no skill” and doesn’t belong in Fortnite FaZe Clan professional Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney isn’t a fan of one of Fortnite’s most popular weapons in competitive play. The Sniper Rifle is one of the most effective weapons currently in the game, allowing players to deal significant damage to enemies from long distances with a single shot. The heavy variant of the weapon provides players with the ability to destroy any structure with one bullet, whilst also dealing a huge 150 damage to the body. In Season 7, Fortnite introduced a change to snipers removing most of the bullet drop from the suppressed variant and hunting rifle, making it slightly easier to hit those fatal shots. As a result, Tfue is not a fan and stated on stream that he believes they should be vaulted from the game. “Sniping is all luck,” Tfue claimed. “That’s why I don’t snipe. It takes zero skill. That’s how I die the majority of the time, some lucky bot just hits a headshot.” Nevertheless, the 22-year-old went on to explain his reasoning saying that the sniper should remain in the default playlists but a change should be considered in the competitive modes. Tfue said: “Snipers definitely belong in Fortnite for sure, but they don’t belong in competitive.” Due to the extremely high damage dealt by the heavy sniper, there were calls for a nerf from various members of the community – however – Epic Games confirmed one was not forthcoming. Only time will tell whether they rethink their decision.

  • Tfue explains why removing traps was Fortnite’s “worst” decision – Dexerto

Tfue explains why removing traps was Fortnite’s “worst” decision Twitch: Tfue/Epic GamesTwitch star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has explained why he believes the removal of traps from Fortnite was the “worst thing” to ever happen in the history of the battle royale. Traps had been a part of Fortnite’s battle royale mode since its inception – giving players a way to embarrass their enemies while they were contesting a build battle. After calls from plenty of players for changes, the damage traps were vaulted with the launch of Chapter 2, Season 2, to the delight of many players. Though, Tfue isn’t a fan of the move and believes it to be the “worst thing” that has ever happened to Fortnite. During his March 19 stream, the streaming superstar had been taking part in the platform Cash Cup when he found himself heading back to the pre-game lobby after losing a box fight. With his frustrations growing, Tfue let loose. He called out: “Bro, the worst thing that Fortnite has ever done, ever bro, I’m talking about literally f**king planes, whatever the f**k there could be – the worst thing they’ve ever done to the game is removing traps.” The streamer was finished there though, as he explained what Epic Games could have done instead of outright removing them. I don’t give a f**k if they nerf them down to 100 damage, it was the worst decision they’ve ever f**king done ever,” he added. “Personally, that’s what I feel, because f**king braindead motherf**kers kill me so god damn often now. It is ridiculous.” After taking a few moments away from his stream, the Fortnite pro returned to see some viewers disagreeing with him, claiming that the removal of the traps was a good thing. “Traps were terrible for the game? Why? They literally prevented dumb ass kids from jumping in your box,” Tfue responded. “It’s literally the meta nowadays, braindead people jump in boxes. It’s like the f**king meta or something. God, this game has gotten so f**king cringe, holy f**k. Oh, this game used to be much fun.” Of course, some fans disagreed with Tfue endlessly and put forward items like the dreaded BRUTE Mechs and Infinity Sword as the worst additions. Though, those viewers probably won’t get him to change his point of view anytime soon, regardless of how hard they try.

  • Tfue explains why people aren’t playing “boring” Fortnite Chapter 2 – Dexerto

Tfue explains why people aren’t playing “boring” Fortnite Chapter 2 Epic GamesFortnite star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has explained why players have started quitting the game and what Epic Games needs to do to revitalize the battle royale title. Even though Fortnite Chapter 2 came with a tonne of hype around it after the black hole event of season ten, players have been airing their frustrations with Epic Games after a lack of changes since the first major update. Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has already talked about why the developers need to pull out something special with their next update but Tfue, who is now the biggest name streaming on Twitch, has joined his calls for a few major changes in the next update. During a recent stream, the Fortnite star had become frustrated by how he was being killed by controller players in the Cash Cup event – noting that they had the able to track his movement despite being unable to see him. So, instead of carrying on, Tenney dropped the game and headed elsewhere, airing his thoughts on why the game has become “boring” without a lack of updates. “I’m going to play Tarkov obviously dude, I’m not playing f**king Fortnite, it is so boring,” he said upon exiting the game and loading up Tarkov. “Even when I was on zero ping it was f**king boring dude. They need to come out with a new season ASAP bro. Like, no one wants to play the same s**t over and over again. It’s so f**king boring dude.” As he claimed that “no one wants to play” the seemingly repetitive battle royale, Tfue noted that some of his friends have been quitting altogether, heading for pastures new. “Every player on mouse and keyboard is just quitting, that is the problem. Legit, like no one plays mouse and keyboard on Fortnite anymore unless you’re like a streamer or sweat dude,” he added. “Like, all my IRL friends that play with PC mouse and keyboard – and I’m like ‘do you still play?’ – and they’re like nope, don’t play. My friends on controller are like ‘yeah, I still play.’” While some annoyed players can overdo their complaints, Tfue’s concerns are pretty valid and shared throughout the community – not just with streamers and competitive players. Whether or not Epic’s shakeup with Chapter 2, Season 2 will meet his expectations remains to be seen, but we won’t have to wait much longer, as season one comes to a close on February 20.

  • Tfue explains why Ninja and other big streamers quit playing Fortnite – Dexerto

Tfue explains why Ninja and other big streamers quit playing Fortnite Instagram: tfue / jessicablevinsPreviously one of Fortnite’s biggest personalities and most successful competitors, Tfue eventually stopped playing Epic’s battle royale entirely, and has now shed some light on why he and other creators quit the game. While Fortnite was once considered the king of battle royales, it has seen a slow but steady decline in popularity. With new challengers like Call of Duty: Warzone and Apex Legends chipping away at its player base, for many the title is no longer considered the premier BR experience. In a recent livestream on Twitch, former Fortnite streamer and pro player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney shared his outlook on the game amid an on-going rift in its community, and explained why he believes many big-name streamers like Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins left the game for greener pastures. The conversation began when a viewer asked Tenney why their Twitter timeline was “full of kids crying about the game.” While Tfue briefly touched on Epic Games banning pros from competing in wagers, he then pivoted to the exodus of content creators from the game in general. “That Ninja guy, what is he playing, League [of Legends] now? Not surprised. What about that Tfue guy, he’s playing Minecraft, he’s playing Warzone? Interesting. What about that big Fortnite streamer NICKMERCS? What’s he playing, CoD? That’s crazy,” he called out to his fans sarcastically. “It’s almost like all the big streamers with somewhat of a personality have ventured off to different games,” he continued, referencing the fact that many content creators who focused on Fortnite in the past (like Ninja) have stopped playing the game, in some cases completely. “They realized they have a personality and can venture off and play other games and still have a streaming career,” Turner explained. He then reaffirmed his view that “basically, Fortnite is just filled with a bunch of people with zero personality and the game’s f**king dead.” Tfue shared his perspective on the state of Fortnite as many members of the game’s community, like NRG’s Cody ‘Clix’ Conrod, voiced their own disappointment with the BR’s current season and on-going wager controversy as the hashtag #RIPFortnite trended on Twitter. Tenney finished his explanation by saying that “all the amazing personality filled content creators that I met playing Fortnite are now not playing Fortnite. Why play a game that sucks?” These comments come roughly 5 months after he publicly shared his own reasons for quitting the BR. While Fortnite still boasts impressive engagement numbers, it’s clear that players like Tfue and Ninja made a conscious decision to move away from creating content based around Epic’s title, which is never a good sign in today’s world, where content creators drive player retention and interest.

Tfue explains why mouse & keyboard in Fortnite is a disadvantage Twitch: Tfue/Epic GamesFortnite star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has explained why the battle royale is the “worst” mouse and keyboard title ever and also noted that he won’t be giving in and playing with a controller anytime soon. Even though Fortnite is still setting records for their events and usual matchmaking, professional players like Tfue have plenty of problems with the battle royale in competitive matches. There have been plenty of frustrations aired with controller players, aim assist, matchmaking servers, and even how tournaments have played out. Now though, Tfue has unleashed both barrels on Fortnite – labeling it as the “worst” game ever for mouse and keyboard players. During his April 27 stream, the Fortnite star had become frustrated in his final game as he seemed unable to take buildings away from other players. As he was eliminated, his frustrations boiled over and he let loose on the battle royale. “Nice, you’re a controller player, just jump in with a Scar! This game is so bad. This is the worst mouse and keyboard game I’ve f**king played in my entire life,” he said. “I don’t know who in their right mind enjoys this game on mouse and keyboard, you are f**king psychotic. It is dogs**t. This game is f**king terrible.” Some viewers suggested that he swap his mouse and keyboard for a controller – just as some other pro players have done. Though, Tfue added that he just couldn’t do that for the time being. He continued: “Chat, I would switch to controller but I hate to break it to you, this game is going to die and every other mouse and keyboard game, PC game, is going to be dogs**t on controller. There’s never been a game like this before.” Tfue also claimed that every “relevant” controller player would be “irrelevant” if Fortnite does indeed die, because they can’t make the switch to games like Valorant or Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with their controller. Some fans also pushed him to move away from Florida, as he’s already teased, in order to fix his ping issues, though Tfue pointed out that doing so wouldn’t fix every problem he has with Fortnite. If his professional future still lies with Fortnite or he ends up making the switch elsewhere, however, remains to be seen. Watch: Was Travis Scott the best Fortnite in-game event so far?

  • Tfue explains why he thinks Fortnite will die in Season 11 – Dexerto

Tfue explains why he thinks Fortnite will die in Season 11 Twitch: Tfue / Epic GamesTurner ‘Fortnite players in the world, but the pro is concerned that Season 11 could spell the end of the popular battle royale game’s dominance over the gaming industry. Fortnite burst into mainstream popularity back in September 2017, and since then has remained as one of the most popular games in the world, with players flocking to the title in search of Victory Royales. Developers Epic Games have made some unpopular decisions though, especially in Season 10 with things like the introduction of B.R.U.T.E. mechs or cross-platform skill-based matchmaking, and when asked about Season 11, Tfue made it clear that he feels Season 11 is make-or-break. During his October 3 stream, Tfue was asked how important he felt Season 11 was going to be for Fortnite’s future and gave a shockingly honest answer about where he sees the future of the game headed. “How important do I think Season 11 is for Fortnite’s future?” read the 21-year-old from his chat. “The final straw is Season 11.” He continued: “Season 11 is going to be a new map with a whole bunch of s**t, and the game’s going to f**king die. It’s going to suck, but that’s just how it’s going to go. I’m just letting you guys know.” For Tfue, who has won multiple Fortnite esports competitions alongside former partner Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lapore and is widely considered to be the most popular streamer of the game on Twitch, to come out and say he thinks Season 11 could be the end of the battle royale title shows how frustrated he is with the current state of the game. Following a break from streaming during September, the American returned and immediately started complaining about aim assist, and has since been criticized by Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins about his opinion on the game. Fortnite Season 11 is currently scheduled to kick off on the week beginning October 14, but it seems clear that Tfue isn’t excited about the prospect of a major update to the game.

  • Tfue explains why he thinks Fortnite is not actually an esport – Dexerto

Tfue explains why he thinks Fortnite is not actually an esport Tfue / Epic GamesPopular Twitch streamer Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has criticized Fortnite for its lack of competitiveness and claimed that it is not an esport during his April 30 broadcast. While he is one of the most popular streamers and pro players in Fortnite, Tfue has never been shy of voicing his concerns and issues with Epic Games’ battle royale. During his Twitch stream on April 30, Tfue criticized the current state of Fortnite’s competitive side and claimed that the game was not up to par with many other esports in the space. As he was queuing up for his first match in the Solo Cash Cup, Tfue explained to viewers that Fortnite was not truly competitive despite its weekly tournaments and active esports scene. “I’m going to say this now, Fortnite is not a competitive game. I don’t care what anyone says,” he admitted. The Twitch star followed by claiming that it was not even a real esport its current state, “In my eyes, Fortnite is not an esport and you are not a pro player because this game does not have a competitive side to it at all.” Tfue later suggested that those who enjoy competing on Fortnite are “living in a fantasy land” and ignoring many of the game’s major issues. “It’s made up, it’s not real, if you’re a competitive Fortnite player you’re living in a fantasy land because this game is so far from competitive, it’s not even close,” he added. He has spoken out against many of the game’s controversial features in the past, particularly aim assist for controller players but has seemingly had enough with all of the game’s flaws. One of the major issues that Tfue has highlighted recently is the number of glitches in Fortnite after he had two separate tournament runs affected due to in-game bugs.

  • Tfue explains why he refuses to play Fortnite with a controller – Dexerto

Tfue explains why he refuses to play Fortnite with a controller Tfue, YouTube / Epic GamesTurner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has revealed the reason why he won’t fully move to playing with controller on Fortnite Battle Royale, despite calling it the best input device in Season 2. The popular Twitch streamer, who has over 7.7 million followers on his channel, has mocked console players particularly on countless occasions in the past. However, even with the game’s meta flipping on its head and controller players now have an upper hand, with aim assist and accuracy boosts, he doesn’t actually see a reason to adapt. After he was eliminated during a recent broadcast, the former FaZe Clan member called for a “level playing field” between mouse and controller, although it doesn’t look like Tenney’s going to be changing the way he plays the game any time soon – even if it could be of great benefit, competitively. The streamer ran into an enemy during the stream and was finished off by a Tactical Shotgun, which sparked the comments about a level playing field. He said: “I just wish I had like low ping, like I just wish I had the same ping as my opponent.” Moments later, Turner changed his mind and moved onto what he believes to be the real issue in the game – controller player advantage. “I don’t even want low ping, I want it to be an equal playing field between mouse and controller,” he said. “I obviously think controller is the best Fortnite input device, for sure, but I don’t want to practise controller for just this game, you know what I’m saying? The future of gaming is all mouse and keyboard.” (Timestamp in video below at 0:45) Following on from that, Tfue also claimed that a lot of these players who are dominating Fortnite competitive with a controller won’t be able to translate such skills in another space. “None of these controller Fortnite players are going to go off and become professional CSGO players on a controller, it’s just not going to happen. Like, there’s no transition from this. It’s a one time thing so I’m just going to stay on mouse and controller.” These comments will be particularly interesting for his fans on Twitch, who watch him play Epic Games’ battle royale title regularly, as it could be one of the first signs in a while that he’s considering making the transition to another game himself in the future. Whether or not that will happen in the future remains to be seen, but clearly he’s not a fan of how competitive Fortnite is evolving – that’s for sure.

  • Tfue explains why he hates new Fortnite Season 2 location – Dexerto

Tfue explains why he hates new Fortnite Season 2 location Instagram: tfue / Epic GamesTwitch star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has revealed which new Fortnite Season 2 location he can’t stand after frequently dying in the same spot – and you can see why. Fortnite Season 2 released in February 2020 after an extension to the start of Chapter 2 took the first season way further than expected. With it came a bunch of new content, with new points of interest on the map, cosmetics and features to give the game a fresh face. One of the new areas of the map is called The Agency – a secret base plotted right in the middle of the map, with NPC guards that will aim to eliminate you on-sight if you land there. It’s become somewhat of a hot-drop, with a lot of loot there, and while players seem to love it right now, Tfue doesn’t seem to. After dropping there for consecutive matches with long-term duo teammate Dennis ‘Cloakzy’ Lepore, the two got into a fight on the stairwell leading out from the basement. Though Tfue managed to get the better of one, he had trouble with his builds and edits and was eliminated by the teammate, and he wasn’t happy about it. After he and Cloakzy had both died on the stairs, Tfue says “I can’t build. This is such a bad area, I f**king hate fighting here. I died in this same exact stairwell like two games ago.” In the next game, though, they decided to land at a different vault – The Grotto – and had a lot more luck. Although Tfue went down early, Cloakzy managed to pick him up and they got to the end of the game, passing through The Agency as they went, and earned themselves a victory royale. Tfue can’t have been that annoyed, as he still went back to The Agency several times again during his February 26 stream, obviously believing the risk to be worth the reward.

  • Tfue explains why he hates Fortnite’s new Pandora location and ‘TTV kids’ – Dexerto

Tfue explains why he hates Fortnite’s new Pandora location and ‘TTV kids’ FaZe Clan / Epic Gamesv10.20 Update, taking over an area in the south-east corner of the island, as part of a special collaboration with Borderlands 3 which runs until September 10. The new location’s appearance did mean that one of Fortnite’s most popular landing spots was removed from the game entirely, with the location commonly referred to as ‘Westworld’ taken out in favor of Pandora – something which annoyed Tfue. After dropping there for a match, Tfue was less than complimentary about the location, giving a truly incredible reason as to why it was awful compared with the popular Westworld drop. “This Westworld sucks cock bro,” the frustrated 21-year-old told his audience. “You want to know why it sucks cock? Because you can’t see any of the ground loot spawns. At the old Westworld, I always had the best drop because everyone sucks dick at this game but me, I’m the greatest!” “I just land on whatever shotgun I see on a roof, and now you just run into a building, and you take the dice – the RNG fucking Fortnite dice – and you just roll them. Knowing me, I’m fucking dogshit at that, I roll the dice, I fucking roll double zeros, and I walk in there with a fucking Revolver, I walk outside and fucking ‘TimmyYT, TTV, fucking smiley face, soccer skin, big dick’ comes out of the fucking woodwork and shits right on my chest, dude!” Unlike other Fortnite locations, the game’s graphical style changes entirely when you step foot in Pandora, taking on the cartoonish-look of Borderlands 3, while the buildings look unlike anything we’ve seen in the game before. As Tfue alluded to, it can be tough to see floor loot in this area though, with most hidden inside buildings and metal containers, rather than on the roof like Westworld used to have. Whether Epic will adjust Pandora to make it easier to find loot remains to be seen, but at least for the Twitch streamer, he’ll only have to put up with it until September 10. Whether Westworld ever returns though, remains to be seen.

  • Tfue explains why he doesn’t want to continue playing Fortnite Battle Royale – Dexerto

Tfue explains why he doesn’t want to continue playing Fortnite Battle Royale Epic Games / Tfue TwitchFortnite Battle Royale right now but he has revealed he’s been down in the dumps about playing the game lately. Many streamers on Twitch make a living playing Fortnite Battle Royale but that doesn’t mean they all enjoy it, something we’ve been seeing a lot of lately with the constant criticisms of the direction the game is taking. Tfue hasn’t been quite as negative as other streamers have been but he revealed why he doesn’t want to keep playing. The map changes have Tfue feeling depressed It’s worth mentioning that the recent weapon changes, like the Pump Shotgun being vaulted, don’t have him sad but it’s the map changes instead. “I’m so bummed right now,” he said. “I don’t like being super negative about the game, honestly, I am super fucking depressed about this map. I don’t care about the Pump, I don’t care about anything. I had three solo potential spots I was going to land at and all three were ruined. This is literally the worst fucking season of all time for me.” He blasts the new Tilted Towers and the lack of changes to map, writing them off as just adding Tokyo to Tilted and the new Mega Mall. (Timestamp 0:45 for mobile viewers) Previous seasons added in new map areas like the desert and snow biomes, but didn’t do anything with this one. With the exception of Tilted Towers and Retail Row getting reworked, there weren’t many map related changes. This is something Tfue has a gripe with since previous seasons offered new dropping locations but that just wasn’t the case this time. What else changed with Season 9? Outside of the map complaints, the other major change came with the Pump Shotgun, something around since the beginning days of Fortnite Battle Royale, being vaulted, much to the chagrin of the pro community. Over the past weekend, we saw what the future of competitive Fortnite could look like without the Pump Shotgun to rely on in late game situations and it definitely didn’t look good for players who relied on it, including Ninja. Honestly…. I just played some of the worst Fortnite of my life. Felt completely out of my element and w/o the pump I froze in about 5 fights late game when my combat shotgun would not shoot out of shadow mode. Did not qualify for Sunday 🙁 — Ninja (@Ninja) May 11, 2019 With the lack of map changes and the controversial removal of the Pump Shotgun, it looks like players are in for another long season.

  • Tfue explains why he can’t play Fortnite anymore – Dexerto

Tfue explains why he can’t play Fortnite anymore YouTube: Tfue / Epic Games[jwplayer TsI6Bhgu]Once one of the biggest names in Fortnite, streamer Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, has explained why he can’t play the game anymore, after his recent switch to Call of Duty Warzone. Fortnite saw more than its fair share of success in recent years, becoming arguably the biggest BR game in the history of the industry and, alongside the likes of Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Tfue was a name synonymous with the title. Now, though, he’s clearly had enough of Epic Games’ masterpiece, and explained not only why he’s not playing the new update, which finally brought Joy Ride cars to the game, but why he may never play it again. He was still playing Fortnite fairly regularly up until a couple months after Warzone’s release, when the temptation obviously became too much. Tfue eventually joined his contemporaries in hopping off of the Fortnite ship, and addressed the situation during an August 5 stream. “Fortnite is trash,” he said, reading out a comment in his Twitch chat. “Fortnite is f**king a*s, bro. You guys have got to understand, a lot of these kids playing Fortnite now weren’t playing Fortnite when I was. I’ve been playing since it came out.” He continued: “You can’t play a game for years straight. For me, it’s usually 2-3 years is, like, the max for playing a game. You can’t play a game for five years straight. You’ll lose your mind.” While some might disagree, especially those who play the likes of timeless esports such as League of Legends or CS:GO, Tfue’s comments do appear to be reflective of the general gamer. It’s the reason games such as FIFA or Call of Duty see so much success with annual releases: players often want something that feels fresh and new, and perhaps Fortnite was no longer doing that for Tfue. Tenney didn’t continue on the subject, so while he didn’t say he would try Fortnite again at some point, he didn’t completely rule out the possibility. For now, he’s obviously looking to conquer Verdansk like many other top streamers, and we’ll have to wait to see if he has as much success in Warzone as in Fortnite.

  • Tfue explains the “dumb” new meta in Fortnite and why he hates it – Dexerto

Tfue explains the “dumb” new meta in Fortnite and why he hates it Tfue – YouTube / Epic GamesSuperstar Twitch streamer Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney has explained what the new meta is in Fortnite Battle Royale, and why he thinks it’s so frustrating to have to play against. As with most other online multiplayer games, the meta in Fortnite is a constantly evolving thing, especially since new things are constantly being added in the popular battle royale title. From time to time, developers Epic Games will introduce a new weapon, item, or mechanic that will fundamentally alter how most play the game, especially in the competitive side of things, so the top players have to constantly be on their toes and adapt when necessary. Tfue is currently going through something similar in his personal gameplay, realizing that it clashes with how many others’ style right now, and deems the newest meta to be “dumb.” After a series of tough gunfights, once which ended with him getting eliminated, the Fortnite World Cup finalist could not hide his frustrations with the current state of the game. “I played the cash cup for like five hours today, and it’s just so dumb,” he vented. “Nobody fights, everyone has f*cking Grapplers with unlimited f*cking shots, Tac SMGs are broken as sh*t. The f*cking meta right now is to literally never fight and spray Tac SMG. And if you need to run dude, you just have 40 f*cking Grapplers and one Bat Grappler and kids just run away.” Read More: Tfue on Ninja feud: “He’s always hated me” – He went on to further attack the meta, insinuating that it’s turned players more conservative and less willing to challenge gunfights head-on: “The Fortnite f*cking meta right now is just sniper away and spray people in the back dude, holy sh*t.” He also talked about how his current playstyle, even if it may still be strong, isn’t translating to any tangible success in tournaments due to its high contrast with the how others are playing the game. “Like I feel like I did so bad in the Cash Cup today, yet played so well and did so well in my fights,” he lamented. “I can’t even tell you how many times I got somebody one shot, and they just f*cking ran away or died to someone else.” (Segment begins at 0:39 mark for mobile users) While there’s no doubt that Tfue isn’t happy with the current meta in Fortnite, he might not have to deal with it much longer. Season 10 is scheduled to wrap up on October 13, followed by the brand new Season 11, which will undoubtedly include new additions and changes that will impact how the game is played in a very major way, and some of that might end up going in the favor of the former FaZe Clan superstar.

  • Tfue explains why Fortnite’s Star Wars Lightsabers aren’t worth using – Dexerto

Tfue explains why Fortnite’s Star Wars Lightsabers aren’t worth using The addition of Star Wars Lightsabers in Fortnite Chapter 2 has a lot of players excited, except, it seems, for superstar pro player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, who believes the weapon is not a good option to go with. The highly-anticipated Star Wars x Fortnite event finally took place on December 14, infusing the storied science-fiction franchise with arguably the most successful single video game in history. The event, which was to promote the upcoming The Rise of Skywalker film, added a lot of themed content into the game, including crashed TIE Fighters, Blaster guns, and, of course, Lightsabers. After getting the chance to try out the laser swords, Fortnite star Tfue quickly came to the conclusion that he wasn’t really fond of them in their current state. Read More: How to get and use Lightsabers in Fortnite – The former FaZe Clan pro used words like “dogsh*t” and “ass” to describe the new item, especially when considering its potential in a competitive setting. Why Tfue doesn’t like the Lightsabers in Fortnite One of his biggest issues with the Lightsabers is that there is a considerable delay when trying to build immediately after having one equipped and swinging around. “I can’t f**king build bro!” he yelled frustratingly. “What the f**k! F**k this Lightsaber dogsh*t! F**cking keep swinging, I can’t f**king build?” Read More: Incredible Kylo Ren Fortnite skin leaked – He’s also not a fan of the way the sword can be used to farm materials and resources, saying: “Bro farming mats with this is actually kind of ass.” After failing in his attempt to do a “wall replace” (destroying an enemy player’s wall and immediately replacing it with your own) while having a Lightsaber out, the World Cup finalist realized that there isn’t really much use of the weapon. “If you get caught with a Lightsaber out and you ain’t in someone’s box and you’re swinging, you’re probably going to get sh*t on,” he explained. When one of his viewers asked for his opinion on the Lightsaber’s potential in competitive Fortnite, Tfue was resigned to the weapon not really being viable. “You guys think they’re going to put Lightsabers in Arena? There’s no way, right? Lightsaber’s ass! Someone tries to use that in competitive they’re probably going to get sh*t on, to be honest. I really don’t think it’s that OP. People are tripping.” (Segment begins at 0:21 mark of the video below) Tfue reveals only good use for Lighsabers in Fortnite Despite his downplaying of the Lightsabers’ viability in Fortnite, Tfue did admit that the new item offered one major positive – the enhanced field of view (FOV). FOV has been a controversial topic in Fortnite, especially among the competitive player-base, most of whom have asked Epic to add a slider in the game that allows players to adjust their FOV. Although that still has not been added, the new Lightsabers do offer a much better FOV when equipped, which many, including Tfue, have realized really helps with running around and making it harder for enemies to land shots.

  • CouRage joins Tfue in fight against Fortnite’s Infantry Rifle – Dexerto

CouRage joins Tfue in fight against Fortnite’s Infantry Rifle Popular Twitch streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop has become the latest prominent naysayer of the Infantry Rifle in Fortnite Battle Royale, joining FaZe Clan pro Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney in the movement to get the weapon vaulted. CouRage had some strong opinions to share about the Infantry Rifle in a passionate tweet he put out on March 5. “The Infantry Rifle is the worst weapon they’ve ever added to Fortnite Battle Royale,” he tweeted. “I’m convinced. I’d rather have two plastic spoons from my local Chinese food place than the Infantry Rifle in a gunfight.” He also went on to throw a jab at whoever’s idea it was to add the weapon into Fortnite, as well as anyone who enjoys having it in the game. Read More: Fortnite respawn van locations leaked – “Whoever wanted that in the game doesn’t deserve gifts on Christmas.” The Infantry Rifle is the worst weapon they’ve ever added to Fortnite: Battle Royale. I’m convinced. I’d rather have two plastic spoons from my local Chinese food place than the Infantry Rifle in a gunfight. Whoever wanted that in the game doesn’t deserve gifts on Christmas. — Jack “”CouRage”” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) March 6, 2019 As it would turn out, by some strange coincidence, CouRage’s rant would end up offering some foreshadowing as Epic Games slightly reduced the drop rate of the Infantry Rifle in the v8.01 update that was released on March 6. The chance of receiving it from chests has been lowered from 14.141% to 13.39% and the chance of finding it as floor loot is now 2.21% from 2.41% This all, of course, comes nearly a week after Tfue shared his reservations about the Infantry Rifle, questioning its viability and reliability. “What is worse dude, getting an Infantry Rifle off spawn or a Burst [Rifle] off spawn?” he asked his chat. “I think the Infantry Rifle is easily the worst and least reliable weapon to get off of spawn – easily dude.” (Tfue talks about the weapon for the first two minutes of the video below) While Tfue does mention how weak the weapon is in Fortnite, he has a bigger problem with how often it’s found – hence the comparisons to the Burst Rifle, which was vaulted with the v7.10 content update back in January. “Normally – before I switched up my landings – I would probably get an Infantry Rifle 50 percent of the time,” he added. “That’s fucked dude. I don’t mind the gun being in the fucking game or whatever, it’s fucking terrible, but for it to be as common as it is – it’s fucked.” Luckily for Tfue, he shouldn’t be coming across the Infantry Rifle as often now that its drop rate has been nerfed. Even still, the chances of the Infantry Rifle being vaulted are looking slim at the moment, which these two Fortnite superstars would love to see happen. In fact, according to recent leaks, there may be two more versions of the weapon added soon to Fortnite – an Epic and Legendary variant. That may end up being a blessing in disguise, however, as more powerful version of the rifle may end up being just what it needs to become more usable.

  • Tfue explains why Fortnite’s current meta is “unplayable” – Dexerto

Tfue explains why Fortnite’s current meta is “unplayable” Epic Games / Twitch: TfueFortnite and streaming sensation Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has declared that the current Fortnite meta is “unplayable” after a series of tough losses in solo matches. Tfue has never been one to shy away from criticizing Epic Games’ battle royale hit, regularly voicing his opinion on what needs to be changed or fixed to return the game to its ‘glory days.’ Now, the meta has come under fire in the lead-up to Chapter 2, Season 3, with Tfue calling the current state of gameplay “sad.” After attempting to take the walls of an enemy, and subsequently being decimated by the opponent’s mythic minigun, Tfue had some things to say. He repeated three times that “this game is so awful” while the gunfight ensued, clearly aware he was already in a dire position and resigned to the incoming loss. After being killed, he added: “I’m not playing any more. I die the same way every single game. It’s honestly just sad. It’s sad to dedicate two years of my life into a game that is legitimately unplayable now. Like, what am I even f**king playing?” A common complaint from Fortnite players is the abundance of controller players with fully-automatic weapons jumping into their builds – be it exaggeration or legitimate concerns – and Tfue seems to harbor the same resentment for that style of play. It’s clear that Tfue’s impatience is growing with Fortnite, even explaining why it simply “isn’t an esport” during one of his Twitch streams. Strangely, though, Tfue hasn’t been following in the footsteps of other streamers and testing the waters with different games, such as Valorant or Warzone, but it will be interesting to see if he starts dipping his toes elsewhere in the future.

  • Tfue explains why Fortnite’s close quarters aim assist is a major issue – Dexerto

Tfue explains why Fortnite’s close quarters aim assist is a major issue Epic Games/YouTube: TfueTurner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, professional Fortnite player and Twitch streamer, has explained why he thinks close-quarters aim assist in the battle royale is a major issue, explaining that it’s far too powerful. Aim assist in Fortnite has been a back-and-forth debate since Epic announced that crossplay would be allowed at tournaments. While most people are nonchalant about aim assist on a console, some feel that controller aim assist when playing through a PC is far too powerful. Recently Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins described it as “aimbot”, while Fortnite World Cup Winner Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf also suggested it was too strong and offered up ideas for tweaks. However, Tfue has come down somewhere in the middle of the debate, explaining that he only has an issue with aim assist in certain scenarios. “Dude they need to nerf aim assist – close-quarters tracking is too broken,” he said, during his April 12 stream. “The long-range s**t I don’t even mind bro. Getting one bursted [at long range] is like getting heavy sniped.” The heavy sniper is easily able to one hit in Fortnite, similar to a one burst that involves a couple of headshots. When using aim assist, many argue headshots are too easy to hit. Headshots in Fortnite grant players heavily increased damage on opponents. “But like, kids being able to flawlessly track you through a broken staircase and a box is kind of silly,” he finished. While a host of prominent PC players think aim assist in general is too strong, Tfue is arguing that it’s only at close-range where it poses a significant issue. The 22-year-old did make clear that he wants to see a nerf, but Epic are yet to move on the great aim assist debate. On the one hand, many feel it is too strong when using a controller via a PC, but a host of controller players maintain that there is nothing inherently broken about aim assist, and that it balances out the lack of precision joysticks provide. Tfue is approaching the debate from a fairly central perspective, arguing that close-quarters is the only scenario where it requires adjustment. We’ll have to wait and see if this is when Epic finally decides to make some changes.

  • Tfue explains why Fortnite’s “broken” Harpoon Gun is so good – Dexerto

Tfue explains why Fortnite’s “broken” Harpoon Gun is so good Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has had a lot to say about new additions to Fortnite Battle Royale in the past and Chapter 2’s latest Harpoon Gun hasn’t gone unnoticed either, giving his verdict on stream. The Twitch star, who stream the popular battle royale game on a regular basis and is a pro player, was just one of many who were probably shocked to see that a new weapon had been activated on November 5 – given that Epic Games didn’t reveal any official information about the content update they rolled out. Shortly after it was added, many members of the game’s online community tested out its abilities. While it might look like another version of the previously removed Grappler, it’s actually very different. One of its functions that Tfue just couldn’t get over was the fact that it’s insanely quicker than normal rods for fishing. Using the Harpoon, players can simply aim into the water and drag out fish – or weapons – in some spots. It also deals 75 damage per hit and drags enemies closer to you once it connects a shot and the former FaZe Clan member seemed super impressed. “Bro this is so fire. Oh my god bro,” he said, firing it into the water and dragging out several Slurp Fish items in seconds. “This is game changing dude. Take the fishing poles out of the chests and replace them with the Harpoon.” After a couple of more tries, he pulled an Epic Pump Shotgun right out of the water, giving him a significant boost to the loot he had in his inventory. Delighted with his latest catch, he said: “This shit is motherf**king broken!” Previous weapons, such as the new uncommon and rare Pump Shotguns in Chapter 2, have been described as broken by him in the past – with a very different tone. He actually said he’d refuse to pick them up in the future at one stage. In a later segment of the stream, Tfue concluded that the new Harpoon Gun as a “ten out of ten” addition to the game and it really doesn’t get much better than that, in terms of an endorsement from him. Fans will be hoping that the game’s developers decide to unvault patch notes in the near future to give them a better insight as to what changes are being made to the game, with weekly updates still rolling out as normal. Whether or not that will happen, though, is unknown.

  • Tfue explains why Fortnite will be “unplayable” soon in controller rant – Dexerto

Tfue explains why Fortnite will be “unplayable” soon in controller rant Epic Games, Twitch: TfueFortnite star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has explained why he believes the battle royale title will be “unplayable” in a few months, citing issues with ping and controller players as the reason. Ping and aim assist have been widely-debated factors within the Fortnite community for years now, with people on all different sides of the spectrum having strong opinions on what is and isn’t acceptable. Tfue is one of the most outspoken names on these issues, especially surrounding controller players and aim assist, and has now explained why they will make the game unplayable “within a year.” Never one to shy away from controversy and the bigger issues at stake, Tfue took to explaining to his viewers what the issue with in Fortnite is currently, telling them that it’s only going to get worse over time. Drawing a “professional, graded” map of the USA, Tfue drew a bunch of green dots across the US to show where mouse and keyboard players live, with it mostly populated on the east coast but spread somewhat throughout the country as a whole. Then, he drew a big red circle on the east coast, which is supposed to denote where the controller players on low ping are living – the insinuation being that it’s much easier for them to play than his spread-out mouse and keyboard peers. (Timestamp 1:30 for mobile viewers) He said: “a few months and it’s going to be all controller players, and they’re all going to live in places with good internet and low ping. This game, just give it a few months, is going to be unplayable.” Tfue then assured his chat that he has “never spit more facts” and to “just remember” what he’s said and see if he’s right or wrong in a year’s time, the point in which he expects the game to be unplayable. Of course, there’s no way to determine whether this will happen until a year later (February 2021, if you’re keeping tabs), but it’s obviously something Tfue feels extremely strongly about – and he’s not kept it a secret that he’s losing his patience with Fortnite.

  • Tfue explains why Fortnite needs to nerf SMGs and Assault Rifles – Dexerto

Tfue explains why Fortnite needs to nerf SMGs and Assault Rifles Epic Games/Twitch: TfueTwitch streamer and Fortnite veteran Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has explained why he believes submachine guns and assault rifles are far too strong in the current build of Fortnite Chapter Two. Despite being one of the title’s most popular content creators, Tfue has never been one to shy away from criticizing Epic Games’ building battle royale. The strength of his opinions has even caused some arguments with fellow streamers, like Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins. For a host of reasons, a number of Fortnite community members have recently argued that Fortnite is dying. While Tenney does not go that far, he has highlighted another aspect of the game he wants to see adjusted. During an April 16 live stream, the 22-year-old explained why he wants to see adjustments to SMGs and ARs, particularly at close range. “SMGs should not be able to sh*t on somebody with a shotgun in a close-range battle,” he said. “That’s not how f**king games work. I’ve never played a BR [battle royale], where an SMG or AR can sh*t on a f**king shotgun.” In a game like Fortnite, where headshots deal double damage and cause flinch to enemies, some players, including Tfue, argue that they can be too strong. Shotguns, designed specifically for close-range engagements, have seen back-and-forth nerfs over Fortnite’s history as part of the infamous ‘one-pump’ debate. “Dude it’s so dumb,” he continued. “They need to f**king nerf ARs and SMGs, and they need to vault mythic guns in competitive.” Away from his comments on ARs and SMGs, it is not the first time Tfue has called for mythic items to be vaulted in competitive. Mythic weapons include Midas’ drum gun and Brutus’ minigun, but some players have argued that they are far too strong and add an element of inconsistency that does not belong in competitive Fortnite. Whether Epic Games listen to Tfue and deliver on his wishes remains to be seen, but the response from Tfue’s audience shows there are a number of Fortnite players who agree with the Twitch star.

  • Tfue explains why Fortnite is the “most unfair” game he’s ever played – Dexerto

Tfue explains why Fortnite is the “most unfair” game he’s ever played Tfue / Epic GamesTurner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, popular Twitch streamer and pro player, has revealed why he thinks Fortnite is the “most unfair” game he’s ever played during his April 23 broadcast. Aim assist in Fortnite has been a major point of discussion for competitive players in recent months, with many PC players claiming that it was too easy to abuse the aiming mechanic while using a controller. Despite quickly becoming one of the biggest streamers on Fortnite, Tfue has never been shy about criticizing Epic Games’ battle royale and voiced his concerns around aim assist on controllers in his latest broadcast. As with many other content creators, Tfue hopped on Fortnite on April 23 to watch the highly-anticipated Astronomical Event live in-game and once it had ended, he queued for some solo matches to keep his viewers entertained. However, his solo queuing experience did not go quite as he was hoping and after losing out on a close-range gunfight to a drum gun, Tfue shared his disappointment with the current state of the game. “This game is so dogsh*t, if I die to one more controller player with a drum gun, I’m loading up Valorant in 2.5 seconds.” he shared, voicing his frustration with controller players and their ability to spam L2 to make the most out of the aim assist feature. “Nice sick play, you really outplayed me there,” he said sarcastically, “I’d rather die to an AC130 you know? I’d rather die from a giant missile coming from the sky, it’s the worst.” Tfue did not stop there, however, later claiming that PC players’ disadvantage was too great and shared the only reason why he was still playing the battle royale. “Fortnite is hands down the most unfair game I’ve ever played in my entire life, easily. The only reason I play it is because it used to not be,” he added. This is not the first time that Tfue has opened up about the “unfairness” of aim assist on controllers and has regularly called on Epic Games to implement nerfs to the feature.

  • Tfue explains why Fortnite could force him to leave Florida – Dexerto

Tfue explains why Fortnite could force him to leave Florida Epic GamesTurner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has revealed that he could be set to move homes once again all in aid of his Fortnite career. When competitive Fortnite was in its infancy, Tfue and his partner Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore dominated some of the early tournaments – racking up wins and prize money that their rivals were unable to come close to. However, the pair, who have since gone their separate ways, have never really been able to recapture that early glory. Tfue qualified for the Fortnite World Cup but only finished in 67th. He’s had success in a few online events since then but has given way to a batch of up and coming stars – with complaints coming in about being hampered by ping. In order to combat the ping issues, Tfue revealed that he has considered moving up the east coast from Florida to Virginia in order to put himself closer to the Epic Games servers – thus getting better ping. “I was looking at, I forget where, kind of like outside of DC in between DC and where the servers at,” Tfue said during his March 22 stream. “In between like Ashburn and DC. Dude, they actually have crazy f**king nice houses.” It wasn’t a throwaway comment from Tfue though as the Fortnite star continued on with his thought of moving. “You’ve just got to live where there is low ass ping,” he added, before noting that if he got a “zero ping house” Epic might make a change and implement a cap. The streaming star also added that his current ping is “not acceptable,” and shows up at 45 in the game’s settings – with that number drawing an “eww” from Team Liquid’s Chap. Whether or not Tfue makes the move remains to be seen, though he has done it before, previously moving in with Cloak for some low ping. It might help him re-climb the Fortnite competitive mountain, but will it help him reclaim his throne? Only time will tell.

  • Tfue explains why Fortnite Chapter 2’s shotguns are completely “broken” – Dexerto

Tfue explains why Fortnite Chapter 2’s shotguns are completely “broken” Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has been playing Fortnite Chapter 2 since the new season kicked off on October 15 and has now identified one weapon that he will be refusing to pick up again in the future. Epic Games shuffled the pack in almost every way possible with the arrival of Chapter 2, Season 1, and with that major update came the arrival of not only a fresh map, but various new weaponry options as well. While Tfue has been chiefly positive about the battle royale title following the arrival of these new features, he’s discovered that one gun just isn’t working for him. The popular Twitch streamer took aim at one of the new shotguns during a broadcast, explaining why nobody should even be bothering with it. “I can’t use the Pump man. I can’t do it. It just doesn’t f**king ever hit over 70 damage. If I hit a perfect headshot, it doesn’t f**king hit,” he said, after being eliminated with the Pump Shotgun in-hand. Then, after continuing to try it out on stream, he landed another shot with the weapon and it only dealt 28 damage to his opponent’s shield, before he switched it out and eliminated them with an assault rifle. “Never, ever in my f**king life am I picking it up again bro. I don’t care. I don’t care, I’ll use a grey f**king pistol over any f**king pump. I don’t care, I’m not using it anymore. It’s literally the worst f**king gun in the game,” he added. “It literally doesn’t work. Like, it’s not me, the gun is actually broken.” While it might seem unlikely that the former FaZe Clan member will keep his promise and “never” pick one up ever again, the fact of the matter is, he just can’t seem to deal enough damage with it. The damage, depending on which rarity you have, for the Pump Shotgun in Fortnite is between 70 and 90 when striking the body, meaning that it’s not possible to eliminate a player in one shot with it – if they have a full health bar. The same can’t be said for its Epic and Legendary variants, though, which deal 100 and 110 damage respectively. Perhaps Tfue will just gamble on finding better rarity shotguns later in matches instead. We’ll have to wait and see. One thing is for sure, though – he’s hardly impressed by this new addition.

  • Tfue explains why the current state of Fortnite is “boring” – Dexerto

Tfue explains why the current state of Fortnite is “boring” Twitch streamer Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney was reeling at the state of Fortnite, calling the popular battle royal “boring” due to common tactics the game allows players to take. Fortnite has introduced a myriad of weapons and changes leading up to Share the Love event, but the game just isn’t playing as well as Tfue remembers, leading him to call out the game’s direction. The FaZe Clan pro was struggling to string together good performances in part due to other player’s tendencies of constantly running from engagements. In Fortnite a battle not only takes ammo and guns to win, but various resources such as items, traps, or precious materials to build are needed as well. Tfue isn’t one to shy away from a skirmish, leading him to use up his inventory in order to nab a kill. Problem is there are too many players who would rather avoid the fights than play them out. This not only leaves Tfue starved for resources, but it also makes him vulnerable to a third-party combatant. Further, the gameplay just isn’t interesting. Tfue has been seeing an increasing number of players who would rather hold up in a 1×1 build rather than take a battle head on. (Timestamp at 1:48 for mobile viewers) “I don’t know, people just get fucking scared and they sit in a box,” Tfue said. “… Everyone just wants to hide. It’s the same shit.” The player’s frustration comes amid a flurry of Fortnite streamers flocking toward new battle royale Apex Legends, and Tfue thinks it’s because of the growing stream sniper problems in Epic Game’s battle royale. Fortnite might have to look at shaking up the game if more streamers are taking their streams elsewhere and major frustrations like this persist.

  • Tfue explains why controller players can dominate Fortnite at any range – Dexerto

Tfue explains why controller players can dominate Fortnite at any range Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney is one of the most popular Fortnite pro players and streamers in the world, and after encountering players using controllers during December 19’s Twitch Rivals Community Charity Showdown, the 21-year-old explained how powerful the gamepads truly are in the popular battle royale title. The war between controller players and those who use keyboard and mouse has been a hot topic between professionals and streamers in Fortnite for a long time. Many claim that the aim assist that those who use a gamepad receive is far too powerful, and gives them a significant advantage in gunfights by dragging their crosshairs towards opponent’s heads. After encountering enemies during the Twitch Rivals Community Chairty Showdown using thumbsticks instead of a mouse, Tfue explained why playing against those who use the controller can be so difficult, giving some insight into the way they can be so dangerous to come up against. Playing with fans of his who won the opportunity to compete in the Showdown with him, Tfue and his squad came under fire from a squad featuring a controller player, who killed one of his teammates with just four bullets to send him back to the lobby screen. Discussing it after, the viewers asked if enemies who used gamepads were really that hard to play against, with the pro player explaining how two different settings can give them unique advantages. “I’ve been victim to it many times, but is it really that bad?” once teammate asked, as Tfue laughed in response. “Well, it depends.” “There’s like two different loadouts, or controller players. There’s Linear players and Legacy players. At long range, Legacy is like, f**king crazy broken, and Linear has crazy hipfire tracking.” Legacy and Linear are two different controller settings, with Legacy acting as the gamepad assists and sensitivities included in the game at launch for those who are accustomed to them and don’t want to change. Linear offers more control over these settings with higher building and editing sensitivities, with changes to how aim assist works which many believed to be a buff when it launched back in October. With these two options offering advantages in either long-range or closequarters combat respectively, there’s a setup that controller players can use regardless of their playstyle which will give them a helping hand when searching for Victory Royales, making them dangerous no matter the distance. While many believe aim assist does give a helping hand to controller players, theoretically they are still at a major disadvantage in Fortnite as keyboard and mouse not only offers more precise aiming and movement, but allows for quicker building and editing with the sweep of the mouse that thumbsticks just cannot replicate.

  • Tfue explains why playing Fortnite tournaments on controller is unfair – Dexerto

Tfue explains why playing Fortnite tournaments on controller is unfair Superstar streamer Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney went on a long spiel about the unfair nature of using a controller in Fortnite tournaments after dying to a controller player in a recent Cash Cup. The debate about whether or not the aim assist on controllers is too powerful in Fortnite has raged on pretty much since the game rose to prominence and players began using game-pads on PC. The divide between the two sides deepened even further with the emergence of weekly online tournaments, such as the Cash Cups and seasonal Fortnite Champion Series. It was during the October 31 Cash Cup when Tfue lost a long and drawn-out gunfight against a player who later was confirmed to be using a controller on PC. Despite the Fortnite pro considerably out-building his opponent, the controller-using player managed to land some shots with impeccable accuracy, which proved too much to handle. Following the loss, Tfue went on a long monologue about how these online tournaments should sometimes be separate based on the peripherals players were using. “I wish there were mouse-and-keyboard Cash Cups, because I feel like I would have won that last game,” he said. “I killed every PC player I ran into, but a controller player just out-aims me. I can tell if someone has natural aim or unnatural aim, and if I get sh*t on by someone I feel has unnatural aim, I get annoyed.” He then went on to explain how it was unfair for someone to be handed a way to replicate really good aim without having to work as hard as he has to perfect it on his own. “If years of me training my aim and I get sh*t on by a kid who doesn’t even know how to aim, then yeah I get upset,” he explained. “I feel like I get upset more than anyone because when it comes to my play-style, my main trait in Fortnite is my aim, so if I can’t out-aim a guy that probably has better edits and builds than me, then I’m just going to be upset.” Read More: How to defeat Fortnitemares Storm King – “I feel like if I’m in line for a roller-coaster, and I’m waiting in line for an hour, and some guy walks to the front of the line and cuts me, I’m going to be mad. I’d be like ‘dude, I was waiting here bro. I wasted all this time and now you’re in the same place as me.’” (Segment begins at 0:35 mark for mobile users) On that note, Epic Games have at times limited the players that can enter certain tournaments in the past, organizing platform-exclusive events such as the Xbox-only competition towards the end of Season X. Furthermore, when discussing the competitive scene for Chapter 2: Season 1, they mentioned their plans to hold more of those kinds of tournaments in the future. However, with players being able to use controllers on PC without any issues, the big questions remains whether Epic would get to the point of limiting some competitions based on peripherals, although that seems very unlikely at this point.

  • Tfue explains major change Fortnite needs to make to Chests – Dexerto

Tfue explains major change Fortnite needs to make to Chests Instagram: tfue / Epic GamesFortnite star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has explained the one major change Epic Games need to make to chests in the battle royale title after an unfortunate elimination. Tfue isn’t one to ever hold back on his opinion, and will often let Epic and his viewers know exactly what he thinks needs changing in the game to make it, in his eyes, the best it can be. During his March 12 stream, Tfue explained what needs to be changed about loot chests in the game, saying that he’s been asking for changes for over two years now. After landing at The Shark, a new location that has been introduced in Chapter 2, Season 2, Tfue went to grab the chest sitting on the edge of the cliff – but struggled as he landed with his builds out, therefore unable to open the chest. Another player landing next to him managed to get the chest open and the Pump Shotgun inside – while Tfue managed to retrieve everything else from the chest. Despite his best efforts to pickaxe his opponent, he was knocked out and sent back to the lobby before explaining what needs to change. “I’ve said this a thousand times before,” he began. “If you loot a chest, the first person to open it should get what’s inside it. Nobody else can get sh*t. You’re the first one down, you get the chest, you get the guns. Why was that not in the game day one?” Anybody who has played Fortnite can understand his frustration with the current chest looting system, and will likely have fallen victim to it at one point or another. Whether this is something Epic are looking at – or will ever consider making changes to chests as they are now – is not clear. This would be a pretty major change that could alter the start of the game quite drastically, especially as players will no longer be able to try their luck and contest chests if they’re a couple of seconds behind. However, they’ve been known to listen to their audience and take ideas on board, so it’s not an impossibility.

  • Tfue explains how Epic Games ruined Fortnite Season 2 for him – Dexerto

Tfue explains how Epic Games ruined Fortnite Season 2 for him Epic GamesFortnite star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has explained why he thinks Season Two actually “sucks”, after Epic Games took away a number of the things he enjoyed in-game. After season one took fans on the longest wait for the release of a new season ever, Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 has dropped with plenty of new content to get stuck into. The battle royale map has been taken over by a ‘top secret’ theme with the addition of NPC henchmen, unique bosses, loot vaults, new weapons, and a few map changes. While plenty of players have been enjoying the new content, not everyone is a massive fan of what Epic Games has done. During his first trip into the new season, Tfue noted that the developers had taken away things that he actually has fun with in-game. “Bro, honestly, I hate to say it, but this season f**king sucks,” he said during his February 21 stream. “The only thing I ever do is play TFaults and land on llamas and trap people – I just want you to know that. Just think about it.” One of his fellow players quickly responded that they had “vaulted” him, which set the Fortnite pro off further. He added: “They literally just f**king said ‘how does Tfue have fun?’ and they were like ‘he lands on llamas, he likes to trap kill people, and he plays his scrims’ and they were like ‘alright, let’s take the f**king trifecta, get all three of them f**king out.” However, it wasn’t just the removal of some of his favorite things that the Fortnite star was upset with. He also isn’t a massive fan of the new points of interest. “Dude, I don’t like these new POIs at all, it’s so f**king loud,” Tfue said shortly after dying in a solo match. Though, he noted that he wasn’t going to land at them again despite his excitement about seeing what they were all about. Though plenty of players have already been enjoying the new season and its content, Tfue might not be alone in his criticisms – even if others won’t take as personal a shot as he could do. Whether or not he’ll come around and enjoy it, still remains to be seen, but Epic could still have some surprises up their sleeve.

  • Tfue explains his main issues with Fortnite and why he wants to stop playing Solos – Dexerto

Tfue explains his main issues with Fortnite and why he wants to stop playing Solos Despite being one of the best Fortnite players in the world, FaZe Clan professional player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney is not finding the game much fun in its current state. Tfue’s main gripe is with the Solos mode in Fortnite, and it’s causing him to not want to play the game unless he is running scrims. According to him, there is a lack of skill gap in Fortnite Solos, and the RNG (Random Number Generator) factor is way too strong in that mode. “I’m so over this game, man. I need to just play a game that involves skill, for at least a little bit, because I’m going to lose my fucking mind playing this game,” he said exasperatedly. “It’s so fucked; it’s actually so fucked. I can’t play Solos anymore, while RNG is just so bad, it’s just so fucking bad.” A major issue for him, and many other pro players, is the lack of reward players receive for eliminating others. Many contend that the elimination system should be revamped to give players some health, shield, and materials after they defeat opponents. “I wiped out all of Pleasant man, no shield, no mats, getting double teamed, third partied. It just hurts my brain, like the fact that I somehow manage to survive Pleasant Park with so many stream snipers, and then I get nothing out of it dude. I leave Pleasant with less loot and less health than when I fucking landed there.” As one of the biggest and most popular names on Twitch, Tfue has to face the epidemic known as stream snipers, and it’s come to the point where he no longer wants to stream because of them. Despite having a whole minute delay for his stream, he still finds himself encountering stream sniper after stream sniper, which has sucked the joy out of streaming his Solos matches. “I can’t tell if I’m playing Solos or the stream snipe Olympics. Being a Fortnite streamer, the worst thing you can ever possibly do is try to play Solos at this time. This is the worst time to play Solos on West. Half the lobby is stream snipers and I’m streaming with a minute fucking delay. Servers are so dead, that I’m getting stream sniped with a fat fucking delay. These types of statements don’t bode well for his fans, which obviously want to watch their favorite streamer as much as possible. But with no real solution in sight, his viewers may want to get used to the prospect of him streaming less and less.

  • Tfue explains why Fortnite shouldn’t have 100-player matches – Dexerto

Tfue explains why Fortnite shouldn’t have 100-player matches Fortnite pro Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney thinks Epic’s decision to put 100 players at a time on the map could be hurting the game. As he got ready for a round, a viewer asked tfue if he thought Fortnite’s yet to be released Competitive mode would somehow spread players out more on the map. The streamer responded that Competitive Fortnite matches probably shouldn’t have 100 players in a game to begin with. “I’ve played in battle royales professionally for like three years, and this is the first battle royale that put 100 people on the map,” the streamer explained. “I don’t think in competitive there should be even close to 100 people, that’s absolutely, the dumbest shit ever.” The high number of players on the map means more competitors are desperately looking for valuable loot – which only a few players end up getting. “Looting in battle royales shouldn’t be a problem in competitive, but it is,” tfue added. “There should be 80 people max, whether it’s squads, whether it’s duos, whether it’s solos.” “Especially in solos, there should never be 100 people in a game, that’s absurd,” he pondered as he dropped in. “As long as they do 100 people, it’s going to be an issue looting.” More recently released battle royale games feature far less players than Fortnite; Blackout has 80 players on the map, and Apex Legends only has 60. We still don’t know any details about what Fortnite Competitive could include, or whether Epic will decide to mess with the player count or not.

  • Tfue enraged after he’s destroyed by “literal aimbot” hacker in Fortnite – Dexerto

Tfue enraged after he’s destroyed by “literal aimbot” hacker in Fortnite Twitch: Tfue/Epic GamesFortnite star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney was left stunned after an apparent hacker managed to ruin his game despite not even appearing on the screen. Unless they take precautions in blocking their screen, popular streamers and players usually have to deal with stream snipers trying to grab their moment of fame by appearing on the stream. Some of these stream snipers can lead to pretty funny interactions, giving the streamer and their fans a hilarious highlight to look back upon, but sometimes, they’ll run into cheaters who do the opposite and make things a complete nightmare. That happened to Tfue during his February 24 stream, as he attempted to play a few solo Fortnite matches. During one game, he had been making his way towards the circle in a boat when he came under fire and lost all of his shield and 90 health. “Oh my f**king god, literal f**king aimbot. What the actual f**k?” Tenney called out as he quickly built a structure so he could protect himself and heal back up. However, he quickly came under pressure as the apparent cheater pushed right up on his building and started trying to outplay Tfue as the professional attempted to take the high ground and build space between them. His attempts to create space didn’t work as planned, though. The player in question got inside Tfue’s box and eliminated him from the game. “How is that even f**king remotely ok. Like, that was straight-up f**king aimbot dude,” the streamer called out before exiting back to the lobby and getting ready for another game. Of course, cheating in Fortnite has been a problem for some time and while Epic Games have attempted to stamp it out, it is difficult to catch everybody – especially if their username doesn’t show up and you don’t report them. Whether or not the battle royale developers have to address a new issue that might have snuck under their anti-cheat detection remains to be seen though.

  • Tfue encounters weird sniper glitch in Fortnite livestream – Dexerto

Tfue encounters weird sniper glitch in Fortnite livestream Top streamer and professional Fortnite player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has encountered a potentially game-ruining sniper glitch while competing in Fortnite’s solo Cash Cup on November 21. Tfue is one of the biggest streamers on Twitch and has been for a while, especially since the departures of Tyler ‘Ninja‘ and Michael ‘shroud‘ Grzesiek to Mixer. That means that whenever he notices an issue in Fortnite, it’s immediately broadcast to tens of thousands of viewers. That’s exactly what happened while he was streaming the solo Cash Cup tournaments. For those who aren’t aware, these are small online tournaments that allow the best players to compete against each other with money on the line. While Tfue was streaming the tournament, he was attempting to take down one enemy he had found looting around the sea in the north-east corner of the map when he got shot from a different player. The opposing player had peeked Tfue to his right, so he pulled out a sniper and lined up a shot on the former FaZe Clan member, appearing to have a perfect shot. Instead, you see the bullet as good as bounce off of Tfue’s head, with clear signs of impact – but absolutely no damage done to the streamer. Tfue immediately pointed it out, saying: “I just got sniped and it didn’t register.” Obviously, Tfue chased down and eliminated the one that had shot him, a somewhat unfair fate for a player who should have got the elimination on the Fortnite star. This is definitely an issue that requires some explanation from developer Epic Games, or someone that knows what they’re talking about. In a general public match, this would be a nuisance, but in a tournament with cash on the line, this could be the difference between making money and leaving empty-handed. The shot didn’t change Tfue’s luck throughout the rest of the tournament, as he failed to finish even inside the top 300 players by the end of the event.

  • Tfue embarrasses Cloakzy after revealing his childhood photos – Dexerto

Tfue embarrasses Cloakzy after revealing his childhood photos Friends finding your old childhood photos isn’t always a great feeling, but when said friend is famous Twitch streamer Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, you know you’re in for a good roasting. That’s exactly what happened in a November 17 stream, when Tfue discovered photos of Dennis ‘Cloakzy’ Lepore as a child and promptly showed the collection off during his stream – with tens of thousands of viewers checking them out. Tfue and Cloakzy have been teammates since May 2018, back when Tfue was the exciting new pickup from FaZe Clan and they started to play in UMG’s Friday Fortnite tournaments together. Since then, the two have had their ups and downs – mainly ups – and remain very good friends despite what they’ve been through together. Despite the close friendship, it appears Tfue is not to be trusted as he showed pictures of child Cloakzy on-stream – which Cloakzy says is from fifth grade, meaning he would have been around ten to eleven years old at the time. “I was in fifth grade, and I don’t know how he got that,” said Cloakzy, clearly a little embarrassed by what was happening. Tfue responded: “Don’t even lie, that was, like, two years ago,” making a joke at Cloakzy’s expense. The photo shows Cloakzy’s cheesy grin, a questionable haircut and, while harmless, he likely won’t be too impressed having seen these images surface. With that being said, he does seem like a reasonable person that can take a joke and it probably won’t be something that plays on his mind too much. The image was originally posted on Twitter by none other than Team SoloMid Fortnite player Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani, who tweeted out the picture just saying: “Oh @cloakzy… oh lord.” Many other Fortnite players and streamers responded to Myth’s tweet, including Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop and Jordan Fisher, who were clearly entertained by the childhood photo, who could only say “OMG” or “Oh no no no.” Although Cloakzy hasn’t commented publicly about it, it would be funny to see him dig out the childhood photos of all those who have shared or laughed at the photo. Who knows, that reveal might not be far away.

  • FaZe Tfue left dumbfounded after his Fortnite opponent cheats death – Dexerto

FaZe Tfue left dumbfounded after his Fortnite opponent cheats death TfueFortnite streamer Tfue had no words after he downed an opponent off the edge of the map but never came away with an elimination. Tfue is one of the biggest Fortnite streamers in the world and despite grinding the game for several hours each day there are still things that surprise hin in the game. One of his more recent encounters caused him to go back to the Replay Mode and after being left absolutely speechless. Tfue and his Duos partner Cloak were fighting a team near the edge of the map where Tfue downed an opposing player out over the water and watched him fall, presumably to his doom. However, Tfue was never able to secure the elimination nor was he rewarded with any extra health or materials. This is when Tfue and Cloak noticed his teammate was building down into the water but they decided to let him be. It wasn’t until after the game that Tfue went into the replays and saw what really happened. The downed player somehow managed to skip along the edges of the island before coming to a safe landing just above the water. His teammate was able to build down there and revive him, absolutely leaving Tfue dumbfounded. “Bro, you’re not gonna believe shit,” Tfue said. “You can’t make this shit up.” Tfue stares at the player just above the water with his mouth wide open for a few seconds before coming up with words to say. “Bro, I’m actually the most unlucky player to ever live.” Strange things happen in Fortnite daily but usually, they aren’t really like this. We’ll have to see if Tfue is able to put this behind him as soon as possible.

Tfue, Dr Disrespect and TimTheTatman react to Ninja’s Fortnite skin YouTube: Tfue / Epic GamesOn January 15, it was announced that Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins would be the first major Fortnite personality to get his own skin in the game. As part of the Icon Series, Epic Games are bringing a number of streamers to the battle royale title, making skins of their likeness available in-game, so fans can play as their favorite streamers. Ninja is the first personality to be eternalized in Fortnite, and his popular streamer peers have reacted to and made their opinions known on the Ninja Fortnite skin. While many simply congratulated Ninja on his achievements, some offered a little more. The Two-Time, back-to-back Blockbuster champion, Dr Disrespect, didn’t waste time letting his opinion be known. The Doc, obviously, made a little joke at the expense of the Fortnite developers but offered “firm handshakes” to Ninja, who he says it took them way too long to create in-game cosmetics for. Given the fact that he was always in favor of PUBG creating Dr Disrespect-themed skins, his support of Ninja here is no surprise. I will say this, it took way too long for Epic to add an influencer skin, let alone a @Ninja skin. These skinny developers from North Carolina finally woke up. Firm handshakes Ninja. — Dr Disrespect (@DrDisrespect) January 15, 2020 Meanwhile, good friend Tim ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar took the opportunity to roast his long-time streaming partner for his embarrassing incident that occurred on New Year’s Eve 2018. It’s hard to forget the sheer awkwardness of Ninja standing in front of hundreds of fans in the middle of New York City’s Times Square, one of the most famous New Year celebrations in the world, and attempting to get the crowd to floss with him – to absolutely no response. Of course, Tim made a joke of that situation as soon as the Ninja skin became available to him, doing the ‘Floss’ emote and telling his chat he “doesn’t see enough movement” while attempting the worst floss you will see. Ever the optimist, Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney took a slightly different angle on the Ninja skin, claiming that he wasn’t actually the first personality to get one. As well as the default Jonesy skin – which bears an uncanny resemblance to the former FaZe Clan member – he also noted that Marshmello had got one, and then Ninja. This doesn’t do much to prevent the rumors of ongoing beef between the two Fortnite and livestreaming megastars, but it’s unlikely that bothers Tfue too much. (Timestamp 5:27 for mobile users) While much of the main reactions were from fellow top-tier Twitch streamers, Fortnite players or close friends of the star, one of CSGO’s best players, Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyliev also reached out to Blevins. In a tweet posted shortly after the game, s1mple tagged Ninja and congratulated him on the “well-deserved award.” The Icon Series definitely seems like something that has been a long-time coming to Fortnite. The game became a pop-culture phenomenon and people such as Ninja have helped it grow massively, as well as vice versa. As well as Ninja, Kathleen ‘Loserfruit’ Belsten and David ‘TheGrefg’ Martínez will be getting in-game skins at some point in the future as part of the Icon Series.

  • Tfue dominates FNCS Fortnite tournament with insane RPG clutch – Dexerto

Tfue dominates FNCS Fortnite tournament with insane RPG clutch Fortnite pro Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney was showcasing his talents with the rocket launcher as he was able to nearly wipe not one, but two entire squads with it in two different matches. The Fortnite Chapter 2 FNCS has kicked off and it ditched the Trios format from Season X and replaced it with a Squads format for the first time. This meant players had to change up their whole playstyle due to every squad having an extra player, but the endgame scenarios still pretty much play out the same as they always have. The competitive season began on November 1 and continued throughout the weekend, and Tfue got off to a very quick start. On November 2, while playing with a squad consisting of Khanada, Liquid Fiber, and Cloak, he was able to pull off some huge plays using the RPG, damaging an entire squad at one point. He was able to deal 85 damage out to a group of players, where he then urged his squad to rush them since every single one of them were now low on health. His squad was able to pull out the Victory Royale in this match thanks to his extremely clutch play with rocket launcher. This wasn’t even Tfue’s only good play of the day as he was able to pull off another impressive rocket play during the FNCS. In another endgame situation, he was able to send a rocket above him to destroy a structure, causing an entire team to drop down and eventually get wiped. If you were ever wondering what the RPG’s place was in the current meta of Fortnite, you don’t have to wonder any longer. It was a strong performance by the squad, as they finished Saturday’s action tied for first place, and they will be looking to continue that dominant play going into the final day of action. If Tfue is able to keep up the strong play with his rockets, that should be no problem.

  • Tfue discovers unexpected benefit of Fortnite removing SBMM – Dexerto

Tfue discovers unexpected benefit of Fortnite removing SBMM TfueTurner ‘Tfue’ Tenney is a man of much rage, but Epic Games’ removal of skill based matchmaking from squads in Fortnite, and its impact on his ping, has revealed a new feeling for the popular streamer: pure joy. Perfectly exemplifying the unfettered duality of man, Tfue’s anger at skill-based matchmaking has been replaced with hype about its removal. A longtime proponent of SBMM’s eradication, the star streamer has principally complained about its encouragement of camping and overly cautious playstyles. In one instance, getting one-shot by a hiding player caused him to conclude that “there is no reason to even play regular solo’s anymore.” But SBMM was reportedly removed from squads yesterday, so Tfue dropped into a match solo and was quickly surprised to find out that his ping was “cut in half.” Understandably, the mad lad was hype and, aided by a smoother playing experience and a mixed lobby, proceeded to drop a light 30-bomb and a second-place finish against mostly teams of four. “Skill-based matchmaking doubles your ping. No cap.” While Tfue’s conclusion is unproven, his preliminary experience suggests that the removal is a net positive for competitive players. (Although, maybe not so positive for the less-experienced players forced to play against happy professionals.) (Segment starts at 0:19 mark for mobile users) It does make sense that opening up lobbies would help with internet connection, though. Since your ping is impacted by the server’s location that the game matches you up with and the congestion of your network, restricting your lobby to just those with similar skill levels might force you into playing on an unideal server. Therefore, removing SBMM should theoretically enable the game some more flexibility in prioritizing internet speed for lobbies instead of skill equality. That’s not the chief reason that streamers like Tfue and Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan have been advocating for SBMM’s removal, though. They think it will impact the meta — ping improvements are just an added perk. As SypherPK explained back in early April, “with SBMM, if there’s not an aggressor in the game, aka someone who’s actually playing for kills … it always end in a heal off.” He elaborated that his gripe with SBMM is “not because of playing good players” but “because of the mentality and attitude that it promotes.” At the moment, we can’t be sure that SBMM’s removal from squads will consistently improve connectivity or the meta. But, you can be sure that Epic Games will look at removing it from other modes if those impacts prove true.

  • Tfue discovers game-breaking Fortnite bug during intense build fight – Dexerto

Tfue discovers game-breaking Fortnite bug during intense build fight Square EnixFortnite Battle Royale superstar Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has uncovered a game-breaking bug in the Chapter 2 update that has major negative impacts on core mechanics in the game. Every major game update is expected to have a few bugs here and there, and Fortnite isn’t immune to that. Sometimes a few assets can look a bit wonky, or a player might get unlucky in a one-in-a-million glitch. However, once the bugs encroach on how people play the game in even the most basic fashion, game after game, players start to get upset. That’s exactly what happened to Tfue, who uncovered a game-breaking bug that severely impacts a player’s ability to build and shoot. Fortnite Chapter 2 brought a whole new map, but some core mechanics were broken along the way. On an October 19 livestream, the Twitch star was in an intense build fight, trying to weasel his way out of a sticky situation. As he found himself a pump shotgun, which excels in close-range, he was ready to take on his kitted out opponent. Read more: The five best places to land in Chapter 2 – He built his way towards them, and while he was surprised by their arrival, he was set to win the fight. With his back against the wall, he pumped multiple shots into his opponent, but none of them seemed to register in game, meaning the star lost the gunfight handily. Clip starts at 0:16 for mobile users. “F*** dude, my gun wouldn’t shoot dude,” he said, while he was in a call with Fortnite Championship Series (FCS) teammates ‘Khanada,’ Alex ‘Fiber’ Bonetello and Dennis ‘Cloak‘ Lepore, who laughed at him for messing up the duel. “I’m actually curious at how my gun didn’t shoot. Did I pick up a pump that had zero bullets in the clip? Read more: All confirmed teams for FCS – However, Tfue was right to be concerned. When he picked up the pump shotgun, it had five bullets in it, and he managed to use two in the fight, but the gun refused to shoot halfway through. That was because the bug the former FaZe Clan player encountered meant he couldn’t. “Can’t shoot when back on wall,” he read from his chat. “What does that even mean? Is that a bug or some s***? If your back is touching a wall you can’t shoot? That’s a thing? Are you guys trolling me?” If a player is standing with their back against the wall in a self-made build, they will not be able to shoot or reload. The game will pop up with a prompt saying “already reloading” if they attempt to reload, even though no animation will play, while shooting will just not register whatsoever. Be careful when taking fights in your own builds on this patch, as there’s a game-breaking bug on the loose. Apparently Tfue also encountered the bug the day before when trying to throw a grenade, but didn’t pick it up until someone in his chat mentioned it. “I hope it’s a bug and not a feature,” he said jokingly. Usually Epic Games are pretty quick off the mark to fix these bugs, so in the meantime, just be wary when you are in a build fight to not put your back against the wall, otherwise you’ll be in a whole load of trouble.

  • Tfue discovers Fortnite’s The Baller was secretly buffed in v8.20 update – Dexerto

Tfue discovers Fortnite’s The Baller was secretly buffed in v8.20 update Fortnite pro player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has discovered that the controversial Baller vehicle received a secret buff in the v8.20 update for the game. Fortnite’s v8.20 update introduced the new Poison Dart Trap alongside a number of balancing changes, including the reversal of elimination rewards which has proved to be unpopular with pro players and streamers. While buffs to The Baller weren’t mentioned in the patch notes, it appears that Epic Games did in fact give the vehicle a boost, as discovered by Tfue during his March 27 stream. While testing out the v8.20 update with FaZe teammate Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore in Creative Mode, the pair quickly realized that traps were no longer dealing damage to the vehicle, which has dominated Fortnite since its introduction. Tfue threw Boogie Bombs at Lepore who was sitting inside the vehicle, with the item having no effect on his FaZe Clan teammate, who was able to continue driving around in the vehicle with no issues. Tenney then built himself and Cloak into a box, and placed down Spike Traps and Poison Dart Traps, with neither activating despite Lepore sitting inside the structure as part of the enemy team. “This is stupid,” Tenney stated. “Balls got buffed.” The Baller has been an unpopular addition to Fortnite among pro players and a large number of fans. Some believe that the inclusion of the vehicles has ruined the end-game portion of Fortnite matches, as players use the vehicles as protection instead of pushing opponents in an attempt to win the match. It’s currently unclear if these changes were intended by Epic Games, or if they were accidentally improved in the v8.20 update. If these changes were unintended, it’s likely that they will be reverted in the next Fortnite patch.

  • Tfue discovers Fortnite boat exploit that gives players massive jumps – Dexerto

Tfue discovers Fortnite boat exploit that gives players massive jumps Tfue/Epic GamesPopular Fortnite professional Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has seemingly uncovered a new ‘exploit’ that allows players to use the missiles on boats to give themselves an extra leap with their jump. Ever since it released a battle royale mode back in 2017, Fortnite players have been finding unique ways to move, use the game’s physics, and items to give them an advantage on their opponents. Many of those movement items were removed with the start of Fortnite Chapter 2, meaning that players had to get a bit more creative. The introduction of boats seemed to help to a degree, with players actually being able to drive them on land instead of just water. Yet, while that has slowed down a little in recent months, Tfue has found a new use for the aquatic vehicles. During his February 17 stream, the popular professional Fortnite player had been trying his hand at some solo matches when he took a boat onto land and tried to climb a hill with it. As progress was slow, Tfue combined the boat’s booster with a missile to create a little extra touch of speed, but he jumped out the vehicle just as the rocket collided with it and was tossed forward with an extra spring in his spring. “Oh shit, that was kind of fire,” he said after getting back in the boat and tried to attempt it for a second time. “Damn, I just might have figured out like a little exploit.” Seeing as the explosion didn’t exactly throw him in a position on the map where he couldn’t lose the game from, it’s hardly a game-breaking exploit that needs immediate repair, and probably more to do with a bit of luck. Of course, it’ll be interesting to see if more players start following in Tfue’s footsteps and attempt to replicate the bigger jump. Only then will we really know if he uncovered a bigger secret.

  • Tfue destroys Fortnite pros off spawn with incredible aim – Dexerto

Tfue destroys Fortnite pros off spawn with incredible aim Tfue, Twitch / Epic GamesFortnite Battle Royale – this time right from spawn! The professional Fortnite player decided that he needed a break from streaming on September 13, revealing that it was having an emotional toll on him. He hasn’t gone live on his channel since. However, with him choosing not to broadcast sessions on the Epic Games title for the time being, a large majority of his fans are missing some of his most impressive plays yet as he’s continued to play away from the camera. As any Fortnite player will know already, matches start with everybody diving off the Battle Bus at some stage, landing in all sorts of different places across the map. In Season 10, though, there’s a way of dropping much earlier than everybody else and Tfue used that to his advantage in a clip shared to Reddit on September 22. After landing on the huge meteor explosion in mid-air, he picked up one of the most basic weapons to be found inside chests – the Heavy Assault Rifle. Instead of continuing to loot, though, he turned his attention to those still falling from the sky, knocking one as they dropped and sensationally picking off a second player with another perfect shot. Of course, this won’t be the first time that his fans have seen him make an incredible move at the very start of a Fortnite game, after he incredibly picked out llamas on the map right from the spawn island back in July. Whether the streamer will be returning to Twitch at any point in the near future or not remains to be seen, but there’s no doubt that he would have thousands of people flock to his channel for even more of these astonishing plays.

  • Tfue demonstrates incredible technique for winning build fights in Fortnite – Dexerto

Tfue demonstrates incredible technique for winning build fights in Fortnite Tfue / KevinIdentity via Epic GamesFortnite battles can sometimes lead to the opponent housing themselves in a 1×1 that can be a headache to deal with, but FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has an insane way of ending those stalemates. Ever since Fortnite Battle Royale launched in September 2017, players have been constantly finding new ways to improve their building kills and coming up with ingenious methods for taking advantages in numerous scenarios. While 1×1 builds are sometimes seen as a solid defense from attackers, Fortnite pro Tfue has shown off a new way of easily overwhelming unwary players. While replacing enemy walls is a common tactic used when faced with someone in a 1×1, the manner in which Tfue managed to do it in this particular instance was incredibly crafty. He jumped down to meet his opponent’s elevation and took a whack at the Wall with his Axe, revealing a critical hit indicator. TFue then created space by retreating above his Ramp and quickly swinging at the indicator. This let him destroy the Wall through his Ramp, safely exposing his opponent. A quick Wall replace and edit later netted him an easy kill. (Timestamp at 1:25 for mobile viewers) The technique can be incredibly useful for flushing out players that routinely look to retreat into a defensive hut. It should be noted, however, that the move also risks the opponent taking a free shot if the trick isn’t done quick enough. With a bit of practice, though, TFue’s ingenious trick could be a valuable trick to have during build fights.

  • Tfue confirms surprise duo for Fortnite Winter Royale – Dexerto

Tfue confirms surprise duo for Fortnite Winter Royale Going into the Fortnite Winter Royale, Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has announced a surprising choice for who he will competing with. When Epic Games announced there was going to a Winter Royale tournament that required players to ditch their squads used in the FNCS and move to a Duos format, many fans were wondering who Tfue would pick for the event. There were even rumors that he could go back to playing with Cloak, his original Duos partner. However, the Fortnite pro decided to throw a curveball and pick a much lesser-known name to compete with. If you’re a viewer of Tfue already then you might’ve seen this one coming, but for those who haven’t been paying a whole lot of attention, he revealed his partner on Twitter. The former FaZe Clan pro decided to team up with Scoped for the Winter Royale, who has quite the resume for himself even if he’s not the biggest of names when it comes to Fortnite. In a Twitlonger, Scoped explains how he started playing competitive Fortnite when the World Cup was announced, and while he wasn’t able to qualify for that event, he still has accomplished a lot. It will be interesting to see how he’ll perform on a bigger stage since he’ll have more eyes on him than ever thanks to playing with Tfue. He has the chance to really showcase his talents, especially with him being a controller player on PC. Lately, players have been speaking up about players using controllers on PC, with many of them thinking it shouldn’t be allowed. Some players have actually researched on their own if aim assist with a controller is too powerful on PC. For the time being, Epic have decided to allow it so players will certainly take advantage of it. Fortnite pro UnknownxArmy1x has climbed to the top using a controller on PC, but it’s hard to tell how much of that has to do with his actual skill versus any supposed benefit from the controller. The Winter Royale kicks off December 20 so players who are competing will have to finalize their teams very quickly as time is running out fast.

Tfue & Cloakzy reunite to beat Ninja, NICKMERCS in $100k Zero Build Fortnite Twitch Rivals event Epic Games/TfueTwitch Rivals hosted the first major Zero Build tournaments in Fortnite on April 2-3, and there were some familiar faces back among the winners as some stars that were born from Fortnite found themselves in the money. On April 3, the North American portion of the Twitch Rivals Zero Build Fortnite tournament got underway, with a mix of streaming stars and pros both old and new taking to the Island once again. The Zero Build mode has proven a huge hit among Fortnite players, including those who thought they had seen the last of the battle royale, and this Twitch Rivals tournament proved it. He beat out intense competition from some Fortnite legends on his way to victory. Here’s the top 10 from the tournament: Elsewhere, players such as TenZ, Legiqn, Pokelawls, xQc, and more took part but failed to make their mark on the tournament. This $100k tournament is a pre-cursor to the $100k grand final due to take place at the end of May, as big Fortnite creators host their own ‘Creator Series’ tournaments to give everyone a chance of success. Seeing Tfue and Cloakzy beating out the likes of Ninja and NICKMERCS is a huge throwback for long-time Fortnite fans, and hopefully is a sign of even bigger things to come for the game that changed the direction of gaming completely.

  • Tfue & Cloak’s squad rage quits FNCS after explosive in-game meltdown – Dexerto

Tfue & Cloak’s squad rage quits FNCS after explosive in-game meltdown Tensions boiled over during Week 4 of the FNCS, with Tfue and his squad rage-quitting from the tournament during the finals. Decent performances over the last few weeks have been overshadowed by their explosive November 24 meltdown, which saw the team collapse in the in-game comms before taking to social media to continue hurling insults at each other. Tfue’s squad were in eighth place heading into the final game, looking to get back on track after a horrendous game five. However, nothing went to plan for them, with the squad getting hot dropped again. While they managed to find a few picks, Alex ‘Fiber’ Bonetello ran into the fray to try and finish the squad off but instead found himself downed instantly. This gave the squad enough loot to survive the rest of Tfue’s teams onslaught, and pick off the members one-by-one, all but guaranteeing the star-studded squad were to be placed poorly in the FNCS decider. After Tfue was knocked out, and the team placed 25th, the squad instantly burst into arguments, blaming one another for the team’s failures on the day. Fiber and Khanada went for each other’s throats during the exchange, hurling abuse at one another for their perceived poor performances. Khanada specifically aimed his vitriol at Fiber’s choice to rush, which he believed had cost them the fight, and the game. Instead of making up and battling the rest of the games out to try and secure a top 10, they decided to part ways and take their battles to social media. Fiber tweeted “Khanada has to be the most immature kid I have ever played with” shortly after the squad butted heads, before deleting it minutes later. In retaliation, Khanada tweeted a vague “I’m so f*cking tilted holy sh*t,” although that’s unclear as to whether he’s mad with himself, other teams, or his own team for their meltdown. Fiber apologized for his earlier tweet directed at his long-time partner, saying that “me and Khanada are friends no matter what, we are winning FNCS.” Me and @Khanada_TV are friends no matter what. We are winning FNCS. you will see — Fiber (@FiberAlex) November 25, 2019 The squad quickly changed their sights towards other teams who specifically targeted them, including Fiber’s former duo ‘Neferux’. “Keep landing Steamy, you have 0 points,” Fiber said. Cloakzy also got in on the action, backing up his teammate. “Both teams in last place rotating into Steamy in finals,” he said, taking aim at teams who adapted their regular drops to target the popular streamers. Both teams in last place rotating into steamy in finals pic.twitter.com/Zhd6MLFER7 — cloakzy (@cloakzy) November 25, 2019 Tfue’s squad will finish Week 4 with 37 points, after managing to accrue some eliminations in their earlier games. It didn’t have an impact on the team’s overall placing for the week, with the meltdown occurring in the last game of the day. It’s a disappointing result after a hopeful Week 3, where the squad placed second in NA East and looked to have found some hot form.

  • Ninja responds to Tfue and Cloak’s complaints about the Fortnite World Cup prize pool – Dexerto

Ninja responds to Tfue and Cloak’s complaints about the Fortnite World Cup prize pool Tfue and Cloak think there is too much money being offered by the Fortnite World Cup but Ninja isn’t having any of that talk. Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore are two of the most popular Fortnite streamers in the game currently but they each have their fair share of issues with the game. Recently the two have argued there is actually too much money being offered by the Fortnite World Cup, which features a $100,000,000 prize pool. You can see Tfue and Cloak talk about the World Cup with Ninja’s response directly after at the very beginning of the video. Is too much money available for the Fortnite World Cup? “It actually sucks because of how much money is on the line,” Cloak said with Tfue in agreement. “The game is nowhere close to where it needs to be to have that amount of money as the prize pool,” There has been an ongoing joke in the community for a while now where some sort of bug, weapon, vehicle, etc. is introduced that Fortnite is ‘esports ready’ but it’s just viewers and players trolling Epic Games. Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, while not directly responding to Cloak and Tfue in particular, said on his stream that people are always going to find something to complain about with Epic Games and Fortnite. Do Fortnite pros complain too much? “Deal with it, dude,” Ninja said. “There’s too much money on the line, of course, of course, people are going to find a way to complain about Epic. Epic there’s too much money, too much money on the line.” Ninja has spoken up in the past about pros complaining in Fortnite and this looks to be another instance of that happening. “What do the pros like?” he said during a stream with Reverse2K on March 15. “If you want to follow negative people, follow any player who plays the game professionally. […] 99% of the time – all their tweets are all negative.” Ninja has largely stepped away from much of the competitive Fortnite scene while players like Tfue tend to be in most of the competitions, which is likely why there are more complains there.

  • Tfue claps back at Ninja over Fortnite’s “broken” harpoons – Dexerto

Tfue claps back at Ninja over Fortnite’s “broken” harpoons Twitter: TTFue/Mixer: NinjaStreaming star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney hit back at Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins’ claim that the harpoons in Fortnite weren’t actually glitched, by showing off a video of how bad they’d become. Before either of them became huge stars thanks to Fortnite, Tfue and Ninja took each other on in other titles like H1Z1, but it was the uber-popular Epic Games title that really made them butt heads. They’ve clashed on a number of occasions, both in and out of the game, with each of them trying to get one over on the other. With the new V12.20 update for Fortnite being released, the harpoon guns that many players use for looting have started acting a little strange – giving the pair even more ammunition to argue over. After FaZe Thiefs asked if Epic could drop a fix for the harpoons, Ninja quickly jumped to the defense of the developers, claiming that what players were experiencing wasn’t a “glitch” and that a change had been made. However, Tfue responded, tweeting a screenshot of Ninja’s tweet with the caption: ”Nah it’s definitely broken homie,” as well as a 90-second long video showcasing the problem. Any time the Twitch star attempted to quickly fish in the water, his harpoon wouldn’t even make a splash – preventing him from picking up any fish or loot that lay under the waves. “This game f**king sucks,” he called out after getting frustrated with what was happening. “I f**king hate this game dude.” With Epic Games no longer dropping patch notes for their updates, and fans having to rely on their official Trello board for bug fixes, it is impossible for players to know when something is an intentional change or a mistake. Whether or not Epic Games will say something about the problem remains to be seen, but, we’ll also have to wait and see if Ninja fires back a response at Tfue’s tweet.

  • Tfue claims Bugha and Avery teamed on him in Fortnite pro scrims – Dexerto

Tfue claims Bugha and Avery teamed on him in Fortnite pro scrims Twitch: Tfue / Epic GamesTurner ‘Tfue’ Tenney quit Fortnite solo pro scrims abruptly on April 26, but not before claiming the reason why was because World Cup champion Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf and ‘Avery’ teamed on him. Some of Fortnite’s biggest names are the latest to be embroiled in teaming accusations. Tfue has claimed that Fortnite World Cup solos champion Bugha collaborated with Avery to take him down in pro scrims. Tfue was getting along fine in the scrims, with some average placements and games but some standout performances too. However, one of his games — which proved to be his last — ended far earlier than he hoped for. After he dropped, he was contested by another player, who turned out to be Bugha. He didn’t realise a second player was laying in wait, picking up a wounded Tfue for an easy point. While this doesn’t seem out of the ordinary when said like this, Tfue was confused by the way both players played. “What the f**k is this weirdo doing,” he said about Bugha, before dying to Avery. “Bro I think I just got teamed on. Why is this kid playing so passive on low ground? I’m so confused.” “I’m fighting this kid [Bugha] that landed there, contested me — and he’s just farming, waiting for something, and then I just get lasered in the back through the window. We weren’t in the safe zone either.” He explained the play back to Scoped and Assault, who he was in call with at the time — although deafened — who both agreed that he was teamed on. “Avery? They’re 100% teaming,” said Scoped. “I don’t think they’re streaming. Avery plays [with Bugha] all the time, like daily cups and sh*t.” While Avery and Bugha weren’t a duo in the recent FNCS season, they have played numerous times on stream in the past. There has been rumors of Bugha splitting from previous duo Stretch to play with Avery, but these are also unconfirmed. Scoped claimed that the duo were sitting in a Discord call together and not streaming so they wouldn’t get caught teaming, and that this problem plagues the scrim community. “Bro, pro scrims are so ass dude. No one streams, they all just sit in calls with their f**king friends and call out who’s shooting at them. It’s so cringey.” Tfue didn’t comment any further, but decided he had enough off scrims, and logged off to play Valorant. “You guys [the viewers] really want me to play that sh*t? I’m literally getting teamed on in pro scrims. I’m not playing that sh*t.” It comes after allegations of teaming plagued the recent FNCS season. There were two separate instances involving seven players, which led to four players getting 60-day bans, while three others were dropped by their organization. Avery and Bugha are yet to comment on the accusations, but we will make sure we update you if they eventually do.

  • Tfue channels his inner-xQc after Fortnite Season 9 edit blunder – Dexerto

Tfue channels his inner-xQc after Fortnite Season 9 edit blunder Twitch: xQc/Epic Games/Twitch: TfuePopular Fortnite Battle Royale professional Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney was left furious by his inability to edit a build properly – resulting in a hilarious flip out during which he kicked his own desk. Fortnite Season 9 launched on May 9 with the highly-anticipated v9.00 update reviving the recently destroyed Tilted Towers and Retail Row – revamping the map and adding the areas back under the new names of Neo Tilted and Mega Mall. There was also the addition of the Slipstream Tubes, a new way to get around a portion of the map – similar to the Geysers from Season 8. Yet, if you accidentally happen to build into the path of the slipstream’s propulsion, you will likely end up somewhere you didn’t plan on being. That happened to Tfue during his May 9 stream as the FaZe Clan star was left completely furious by the game after being unable to edit correctly during a close firefight. The streamer had failed a number of edits as he tried to wriggle his way around a few opponents and solidify a top placing. However, after a few failed attempts, he was blown into the path of another player by the new slipstream tubes. “Yeah, I remember I used to be able to fucking edit dude,” roared Tfue, as he was eliminated from the match. He added another solitary “Fuck” before rolling his chair back, pulling his feet up and slamming them down on his desk – copying fellow streamer Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel’s signature rage. While regular Tfue viewers don’t really see him freak out too much about things in the way xQc and others do, this isn’t the first time he’s kicked his desk. The pair of streamers linked up for a lengthy session back on April 19, with the FaZe pro crying his eyes out at how the former Overwatch League player could so easily rage – and find the time to kick his desk from above. It was something he adopted himself a few days later on his own channel. As frustrating as things may get in-game, you probably shouldn’t expect to see Tfue punching or kicking his desk on a regular basis – that’s just not his style.

  • Tfue calls on Epic Games to remove “dumbest” Fortnite weapon ever – Dexerto

Tfue calls on Epic Games to remove “dumbest” Fortnite weapon ever Epic GamesStreaming star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has called upon Epic Games to remove the “dumbest” weapon from Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2, as well as vaulting Mythic items in competitive play. Ever since Fortnite’s battle royale mode launched back in 2017, Epic Games have added some weapons and items that have either split the fanbase down the middle or united them in the hopes of a vaulting taking place. Who can forget the Zapotron, the Quad Launcher, Drum Gun, or the highly controversial Infinity Blade? Though, as Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 has gone on, players like Tfue would like to see a few other weapons and items join that long list and head to the vault in favor of another change to the loot pool. During his April 9 stream, the Fortnite standout had been playing some solo Arena matches to conclude his stream when, late into one of his final matches, his health was drained by a Grappler shot. The opposing player quickly finished Tfue off with a shot from Skye’s Assualt Rifle, leaving the Twitch star furious. “The Grappler is so cringy bro, it’s literally the cringest gun in the entire existence – I don’t give a f**k what anybody says,” Tfue said. “That sh*t should not be in competitive or Arena, absolutely just the dumbest f**king thing of all time.” Tenney wasn’t finished there, continuing to call for a change to the current loot pool – especially for when it comes to competitive play. “They need to vault all the Mythic items in competitive, period. Or, just not have competitive playlists at all,” Tfue concluded before also noting that the Grappler is a weapon you just don’t want to come up against in the late game. Now, of course, any changes to Fortnite come solely from Epic Games, but the developers have shown that they will listen to community feedback in the past. However, for any change to happen, there would have to be more than just Tfue making his voice heard.

  • Tfue calls on Epic to ban Fortnite hacker ruining his Tfault scrims – Dexerto

Tfue calls on Epic to ban Fortnite hacker ruining his Tfault scrims Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney hosts Fortnite custom lobbies to compete with other pro players and subscribers, but his scrims on December 28 were ruined after an aimbotter was able to get into it. Using the Arena mode as a measuring stick for your skill in Fortnite is important, but many players go the extra step and scrimmage against other competitive players in an effort to see where they really stack up. These players will all get together in one lobby to battle it out with each other. Playing against other competitive focused players can be crucial, as getting the same kind of practice in regular matches is impossible. Tfue, like a handful of other top streamers, hosts custom lobbies, and allows his subscribers to join to play against him and each other. However, Tfue’s custom lobby, called Tfault skirmishes, went off the rails on December 28 after an aimbotter was able to infiltrate it and ruin everyone’s experience. When Tfue and his partner scoped were eliminated, the two weren’t 100% clear as to whether the player was cheating or not. However, it became abundantly clear after Tfue continued to spectate the player and watch them beam every other player in the lobby from across the map. After confirming his fears, Tfue expressed his disappointment towards Epic Games for even allowing this to happen in the first place and called for them to ban the player. “Yo, Epic Games, can you f**king ban this kid that’s literally aimbotting in my f**king custom game,” he asked. If it was just a one-time thing then perhaps it could have been excused, but the fact that it happened in multiple games created a problem that pretty much ruined the whole lobby. Players infiltrating custom lobbies like this is nothing new, but usually, they won’t do it to grief the other players. Everyone wants an opportunity to play with their favorite streamer, but there are definitely better ways to go about it. It’s unclear if Epic Games will take action due to it being a custom lobby, but it’s obvious there is a problem. There’s also precedent for Epic banning aimbotters as that’s just what happened to FaZe Jarvis after he was caught using one. His ban ended up being a permanent one, so perhaps that’s what this player has waiting for them if any action is taken.

  • Tfue breaks down how Fortnite can stay ahead of Apex Legends – Dexerto

Tfue breaks down how Fortnite can stay ahead of Apex Legends Epic Games, FaZe Clan, RespawnFaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney has explained the things that he thinks Epic Games have to do in order to keep Fortnite interesting and he wants a very big change indeed. The popular streamer has recently described the battle royale game as “boring” and while every fan might not agree with that right now, a whole lot of them would be excited to see some of his recommendations come to fruition in the future. With interest in Respawn’s new Apex Legends game rising by the day, Tfue thinks Fortnite needs to go the extra mile to keep the casual player from straying away. Tfue isn’t asking Epic to add more skins or weapons, as is usually the case, but instead thinks a complete revamp should be the next step. “I love it when people are like ‘the Deagle [Hand Cannon] is the main issue with Fortnite,’ no dog” he explained. “It’s the repetitiveness dude, they need a new fucking map. That’s facts.” (Tfue features in the first two minutes and 40 seconds of the following video) “Apex [Legends] is not better than Fortnite. I have been playing BRs [battle royale games] competitively for like four years. The reason people are on Apex is because this game is stale.” The Hand Cannon, which he refers to, is also set to be nerfed in Fortnite’s upcoming v7.40 patch – which is set to go live on February 13. Tfue views Apex as the perfect game for casual players right now, which could be an issue for the game going forward – he says – because of a “skill gap.” “Shit has just gotten too much” he added. “The way these fucking kids are editing, the way these kids are building in Fortnite nowadays… Motherfucker, if some casual ass gamer dude gets on the game, he’s going to get boxed up, trapped, edited and shot. How’s that going to be fun for him?” Whether or not Epic Games will make a major announcement in the near future that’s anything close to Tfue’s new map suggestion remains to be seen. The developer does like to surprise its fanbase, but is this a step too far?

  • Tfue’s insane Boogie Bomb play derailed by infamous Fortnite glitch – Dexerto

Tfue’s insane Boogie Bomb play derailed by infamous Fortnite glitch Epic Games / Tfue TwitchA long-standing bug in Fortnite on April 11 robbed Twitch streamer Tanner ‘Tfue’ of an incredible play in one of the final circles. Epic Games released Fortnite’s v8.30 update on April 10 that added tons of new features to the battle royale, although some wonders why they didn’t just focus on resolving known problems. During an intense late-game circle situation, Tfue was enclosed in a small zone with 28 other players when he found an opportune moment to strike at a wave of incoming enemies. Perfect plan meets bothersome bug The Fortnite veteran used the controversial Baller as a means of getting closer to the action, but was stunned when he executed his plan to perfection only to be met with a bugged out shotgun. “Bang, bang bang,” Tfue said as his shots were missing from the server. “Wish I could fucking shoot. Great timing.” It seems like Tfue was the victim of yet another instance of shots going missing or unregistered, as one can see by the point blank targets coming out unscathed against his Pump Shotgun. Fortnite’s long history with Ghost Shots “His pump did shoot but it didn’t register on server side,” Redditor ‘namansha’ said. “It’s a ghost shot and it would have been visible if they didn’t implement server side shot detection. It looks even more annoying than before.” Other users were baffled at how bugs like these could have such a long lifespan in a game as popular as Fortnite. “The fact that bugs are being left in for so long blows my mind,” Reddit user Kezha said. “It’s normal for bugs to be a thing, but having game breaking bugs be left in for more than 1-2 updates (when updates are weekly) is just mind blowing. And on top of that having a hoard of [annoying] bugs taking 3 years to fix, is also baffling.” This particular instance was an eye-opening example of the bug, but some are unconvinced and think Tfue just missed his shots. “[Tfue] means ‘wish I could shoot,’” Redditor ‘imawfullyaverage’ said. “As in ‘wish I was good at aiming,’ at least that’s how I interpreted it. He’s clearly missing both shots here.” Regardless, phantom shots have been plaguing the game for a long time, and fans of Epic Game’s shooter are eagerly awaiting a permanent fix.

  • Tfue, Benjyfishy & more respond to Fortnite removing double movement – Dexerto

Tfue, Benjyfishy & more respond to Fortnite removing double movement Epic Games / Tfue / NRG EsportsFortnite streamers and pro players including Benjamin ‘benjyfishy’ Fish, Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, and more have hit out at Epic Games, after Double Movement keybinds were completely removed from the battle royale in the v14.50 update. With Chapter 2, Season 4 approaching its final stages, Epic Games has released a major update, with plenty of new content, on November 3 to keep the game fresh. Fortnite’s v14.50 update saw the return of Jetpacks, Lachlan’s Icon Series skin, and bug fixes, but one of the biggest changes for competitive players was the removal of the “double movement” keybind mechanic. Double movement is a feature used by mouse and keyboard players, where players bind two different keys to the same movement action, to mimic the angles that controller players can direct their character. However, the feature has been quite controversial due to its use with third-party cheats or “macros,” although Epic Games are yet to confirm that this is why it was removed from the game. Many pros and streamers have now criticized Epic after the release of the v14.50 update, with some of the biggest Fortnite stars sharing their take on the changes. Fortnite pros react to double movement changes Benjyfishy was among the first to speak out on the changes, revealing that the change would set players back, who had put time into practicing with the feature in recent months. “There is no f***ing way they removed double movement binds,” he responded, “there goes 3 months of practice.” Fellow Fortnite pro FaZe Dubs was also frustrated with the removal of double movement, claiming that Epic Games was not aware of how much this would impact play at a high level. “I don’t think epic understands what removing double movement binds does,” he shared, before calling on the devs to revert the changes. I don’t think epic understands what removing double movement binds does, WASD IS SO BAD @FNCompetitive PLEASE REVERT — Dubs (@Dubsfn) November 3, 2020 100 Thieves star Arkhram1x added the criticism, suggesting that “double movement” keybinds should be integrated with Fortnite for PC players to use. “Why not just give everyone double movement?” he asked, suggesting that PC players were already at a disadvantage. Despite revealing that he had already quit Fortnite, Twitch star Tfue weighed in on the debate and mocked the players affected by the change. After many PC players voiced their concern with the v14.50 update, Tfue explained that they could “just pick up a controller” as a solution to the double movement changes. While many are calling for Epic to revert the v14.50 changes and integrate double movement in Fortnite, as of now, the devs have not revealed any intention of doing so.

  • Tfue angered after discovering another annoying shield glitch in Fortnite – Dexerto

Tfue angered after discovering another annoying shield glitch in Fortnite Tfue – Twitch / Epic GamesA frustrating shield glitch that’s apparently new to Fortnite Battle Royale has many players annoyed, including superstar streamer Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney. Being one of the most successful games in the history of online gaming hasn’t made Fortnite immune to bugs and quirks that can ruin players’ gaming experience. The latest example of this is concerning a new gimmick added to players’ shields that causes them to flare up when being shot at by enemies. When the bullets of an opponent’s gunfire hits a player who has any shield at all, the resulting effect causes a large mass of light blue color to appear on their screen, blocking their vision for a very brief moment. Read More: Ridiculously strict Fortnite World Cup sponsor restrictions will affect multiple players and orgs – Obviously, this can lead to very annoying situations for players, who now find themselves having to deal with something that inhibits them from seeing the player that’s firing at them. One player who is not happy with the addition of this feature is Tfue, as he fell victim to its effect while engaged in a gunfight and was ultimately gunned down because of his inability to see. “This sh*t that happens to me, I can’t make this sh*t up bro,” he said. “I’ve seen it happen before. It’s something Fortnite needs to fix. Like bro, what the f*ck. What is that bro? What am I looking at dude?” It’s not clear exactly when Epic Games added this shield flare nonsense in Fortnite, and whether or not it was something that was introduced intentionally or is simply a glitch. What is clear, however, is that it’s been getting on a lot of players’ nerves, and it wouldn’t come as a major shock if the developers decided to hotfix it out of the game sooner rather than later. As of now, Epic haven’t made any comments about it, but with the likes of Tfue openly complaining about the issue, it could be something that’s suddenly moved up the priority list.

  • Tfue and SypherPK call for Fortnite visual changes to combat aim assist – Dexerto

Tfue and SypherPK call for Fortnite visual changes to combat aim assist Twitch: SypherPK/Epic GamesFortnite stars Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan have called on Epic Games to make a change to some visual effects in the battle royale that are giving the upper-hand to controller players with aim assist. For a few months now, Fortnite players have been ramping up their debate over controller players taking on keyboard and mouse users. Many had made the switch to a controller just to show off the almost aimbot-like aim assist that they could have. While Epic have made changes to aim assist, some annoyances have still remained for keyboard and mouse users, especially when it comes to controller players being able to track opponents through walls. Though, as Tfue and SypherPK have pointed out, there could be an even bigger issue at hand. During recent streams, the pair of Fortnite stars had been discussing how the visual effects with explosions and buildings breaking could blind players and, in turn, give a keyboard and mouse user a major disadvantage. As they pointed out, controller players can easily track their opponents through the smoke or fire of a wall or building breaking apart. “This s**t needs to be fixed,” said Tfue. “I don’t give a f**k how good you are, in this situation that I was in, you’re gonna lose like 99% of the time.” Tfue also added: “If you cannot see your opponent, you should not be able to aim or track your opponent.” Timestamp of 1:30 for mobile viewers Sypher’s complaints, however, even took things a step further as he wasn’t reviewing his own footage, but another professional player. He pointed out that, at one point, the visual effect was so bad that the other player on the screen was actually invisible. “This dude was completely invisible, and this wasn’t a rocket explosion, this was just the build breaking,” noted the Luminosity Gaming member. “It’s a bit crazy, they’ve got to clean that up for sure.” While Epic can’t fix every little issue with Fortnite, these visual problems coupled with controller players being able to track their opponents regardless of how blind they may be, seems like something they’ll have to address soon. Whether the developers do so anytime soon, however, is a different story altogether, so we’ll just have to wait and see what they’ve got up their sleeve.

  • Tfue and Symfuhny discuss their current feelings towards Fortnite, suggest most pro players feel the same – Dexerto

Tfue and Symfuhny discuss their current feelings towards Fortnite, suggest most pro players feel the same FaZe ClanFortnite Battle Royale is one of the most popular games in history, but there appears to be a growing sense of discontent from professional players and the competitive community. Additions to the game like the Glider Redeploy, Balloons and, more recently, the Mounted Turret and Dynamite, have resulted in numerous pros from teams like TSM, Luminosity Gaming, Team Liquid and FaZe players voicing their concerns. On November 22, Mason ‘Symfuhny’ Lanier and FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney revealed that they have been struggling to enjoy Fortnite in recent weeks and months, and made it clear that they think other top players feel the same. “This game’s so fucking boring, dude, I don’t know how you stream this game, like, all day,” said Tfue during a Twitch stream. “Dude, I haven’t been having that much fun playing Fortnite the past, like, month. I don’t know why.” Symfuhny, after saying that he doesn’t stream all day at the moment, concurred with Tfue’s sentiments, saying: “I think that’s every, like, pro player though to be honest. I don’t think any pro player gets on right now and enjoys, like genuinely enjoys, it.” Both players went on to say that they still enjoy watching other people enjoy, but struggle to enjoy the process of playing for themselves at the moment. Tfue also made it clear that he still thinks that the game has a lot of potential, and that he enjoys Playground mode, but certain additions like the Balloons and Mounted Turret seem to have made public play less enjoyable for him. With so many top players and streamers beginning to express their issues with the game, it will be interesting to see whether Epic Games can make changes that satisfy them and the community as a whole. In the past, the developers have done an outstanding job of listening to players and fans, but it would seem that they have been struggling to find a balance between adding new content and keeping old school players happy recently.

  • Tfue and Ninja slam Fortnite pros after duos cheating scandal – Dexerto

Tfue and Ninja slam Fortnite pros after duos cheating scandal Twitch: Tfue / Mixer: NinjaStreaming stars Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney have spoken out against Fortnite pros and the professional scene after players were banned for allegedly cheating in a tournament. Once upon a time, Ninja and Tfue were the pinnacles of competitive Fortnite – they were the players everyone aspired to be like, but slowly gave way to a new generation of talent as time went on, despite still being top players. After players Nate ‘Kreo’ Kou, Logan ‘Bucke’ Eschenburg, ‘Keys’, and ‘Slackes’ were given 60-day bans for collusion in a Fortnite Championship Series event, much of the community provided their opinion on the matter – and now Ninja and Tfue have weighed in on the controversy The ban was handed to the aforementioned players within just a few hours of the incident happening after viewers started to question whether they were teaming, and Ninja has explained why he thinks this happens in the Fortnite pro scene – as well as making a dig at Epic Games’ inconsistent punishments. “This competitive scene is purely run by kids,” he said. “And then Epic’s like, ‘here’s a Fortnite tournament.’” He went on to mention how “disappointed” he is in the players who have been banned, as well as commending players such as Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson and Benjy ‘Benjyfishy’ Fish, who he says don’t need to cheat because they’re “too talented.” Ninja also spoke out about the inconsistency in bans, referencing FaZe Clan’s Jarvis ‘Jarvis’ Kaye. “Jarvis cheats in an online, regular game for no money and gets a full-time ban. Players get caught cheating in a tournament for money and they get banned for 60 days. Alright, go,” he said. Meanwhile, Tfue slammed people who think 60 days is too long, saying that would maybe be the case if they cheated in just one match – but the ban is perfectly reasonable considering it was across 9 games. He also said that 60 days would be alright if they did it only two or three times, implying that he believes the ban should be even greater than was given. The other notable cheating scandal in Fortnite was that of Xxif and Ronaldo, who faced 2-week suspensions prior to the 2019 Fortnite World Cup for collusion in qualifiers, with many people ardently against the seemingly-lenient bans considering the magnitude of the event. Ninja and Tfue don’t always see eye to eye on certain things, but it seems they’re both on the same side when it comes to this cheating scandal, even believing that the punishment could have been much worse on the players.

  • Tfue and KittyPlays win Fortnite Korea Open Duos – Final Placements – Dexerto

Tfue and KittyPlays win Fortnite Korea Open Duos – Final Placements Twitch / FortniteEpic Games took competitive Fortnite across the world on December 14, as they paired top players like Tfue, Myth and NickEh30, up against the top players from South Korea. Epic Games is keen to continue developing interest in Fortnite around the world, and with an already passionate player base in South Korea, an official tournament was perfect for the region. There was a mix of solos and duos, with two South Koreans, ‘Sinooh’ and ‘Milfy’, taking the top spot in solos, while FaZe Clan’s Tfue and streamer KittyPlays took top spot in the duos event. There was one billion Korean won in total up for grabs, but as a charity event the players weren’t netting it themselves, rather donating it to good causes. Aside from the Western Fortnite pros and streamers, retired Korean Starcraft pros Hong Jin-ho and Lee Jae-dong also took part, as well as Korean PUBG player YoonRoot. There were even K-Pop stars, Gongchan from B1A4, Luda from Cosmic Girls and Mimi from Gugudan, in attendance. Solo Show Match Final Placements Summer Skirmish winner Morgausse managed to break into the top 10 of the solos event, but it was the Koreans, Sinooh and Milfy who took first and second respectively. who took the top spot. The main event however, the duos tournament, was a different story. Fall Skirmish champion Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney proved why he is considered one of the best players in the world, andwe can’t forget his partner, streamer Kitty Plays, who helped secure 1st place. The rest of the top 10 in duos was a majority of Korean players, including runners up Ohking and solo champion Sinooh – who had a great event all round with a 1st and 2nd. Overall a major success, the Korea University gym was packed for the event, which was casted by Zeke and MonsterDFace for the english viewers. Epic Games will be hoping that this event, and the success of Korean players, will help further boost Fortnite’s popularity in the country, where competitor PUBG is arguably still the favored title.

  • Tfue and Cloakzy win the Fortnite Fall Skirmish Grand Finals – Dexerto

Tfue and Cloakzy win the Fortnite Fall Skirmish Grand Finals FaZe pro duo Tfue and Cloakzy have won the Grand Finals of the Fortnite Fall Skirmish at TwitchCon. Pate1k and Domentos won the first match in conservative fashion. Pate1k simply sat up high on a campfire, healing himself. Down below Cloakzy was battling off a number of duos as the circle closed in. The Storm picked up the final kill for Pate1k when the circle closed in completely. Tfue was knocked out early but Cloakzy picked up six eliminations on his own to carry his team. The FaZe duo topped the scoreboard after one match thanks to their second place finish plus the elimination bonus. Match two was another slow affair and 60 players were still alive in a tiny end game circle. But the congestion and Storm damage finally got things going. This time it was Pate1k’s partner Domentos that grabbed the Victory Royale with a shotgun elimination for back to back wins. After two matches, Domentos and Pate1k were tied for first overall with Cloakzy and Tfue in a demonstration of elimination vs placement value. Three in a row for the Europeans would not happen as Tfue and Cloakzy picked up their first Victory Royale in match 3. Tfue and Cloakzy sat in a comfortable lead after three matches thanks to their 17 total eliminations. Match 4 was a slog as most of the players focused on placements over eliminations. The final battles hardly featured any gun play at all as the Storm was the most effective damage dealer. The Liquid pro duo of Chap and 72 Hrs were one of the few teams to come to life, jumping from near the bottom to top 10 after a four point match. The controller players NICKMERCS and Ghost Aydan brought the crowd to their feet in match 5, showing rarely seen early aggression. They picked up a whopping nine eliminations despite only placing top 20. The Storm picked up the final kill again in match 5, with Hero Ronin and JDW winning after managing to outlast a player who built a campfire some distance outside of the circle. Tfue and Cloakzy headed into match 6 still leading overall thanks to lower scoring teams winning the fourth and fifth matches. The rest of the field needed to pick up eliminations early and often to close the gap. The added pressure made for a more exciting match as eliminations and battles were happening more often. Zexrow and vinny1x had a monster performance, getting the Victory Royale to go with 8 eliminations for a 7 point game. But it was not enough to take down Tfue and Cloakzy, who’s performance in the first three matches was too much to overcome. Cloakzy was the player of the tournament, finishing with 22 eliminations himself. Cloakzy on his own had more eliminations than 46 teams in the Grand Final. The final standings for the Fortnite Fall Skirmish can be viewed below.

  • Tfue and Cloak start petition to delay final World Cup Duos qualifier – Dexerto

Tfue and Cloak start petition to delay final World Cup Duos qualifier FaZe ClanFortnite Battle Royale pros Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney and Dennis ‘Cloak‘ Lepore are calling for Epic Games to delay the final Duos qualifier since it falls on the same day as the Fortnite Pro-Am. The final week of Duos qualifiers for the Fortnite World Cup falls on the same day as the Celebrity Pro-Am at E3 2019 – something that has left some players in quite an unfortunate situation. Both Tfue and Cloak are slated to appear in the Pro-Am, but the problem is the two have been working towards qualifying for the World Cup, with the last opportunity to qualify being on the same day. It’s a tough situation, and a huge oversight for Epic Games to make. Tfue and Cloak want Epic to delay the final week so fans would have a chance to tune into the Pro-Am, along with rooting on their favorite streamer for the final week of qualifiers. Cloak called for an outright petition in a Tweet that has gained over 10,000 likes. “Can we start a petition to push back the final week of duo qualifiers so people can play and watch the Pro-Am tourney/block party event?” he wrote. “For some genius reason they’re on the same day.” Can we start a petition to push back the final week of duo qualifiers so people can play and watch the Pro-Am tourney/block party event? For some genius reason they’re on the same day. — Creator code: cloakzy (@cloakzy) June 3, 2019 Tfue retweeted a tweet by Ewok, a Fortnite Battle Royale streamer invited to the Pro-Am who argued why the final wave of qualifiers should be pushed back. Hey @EpicGames @FortniteGame 3 top reasons to postpone Duo Week 10 to June 22-23: 1) Fortnite gets more viewership for each the Pro-Am on 15-16 & same for last WC quals on 22-23. 2) Everyone associated with Pro-Am can get more investment. 3) @Ninja @Reverse2k_ @TTfue @cloakzy 😀— EWOK :love_you_gesture: (@EwokIts) June 3, 2019 He also agreed with a tweet made by The Fortnite Guy who said players were being forced to choose between the two events. Will Epic budge? Players have been complaining about the way Epic Games handles competitive Fortnite ever since the start of the World Cup and nothing has really changed. A player who was caught cheating was still able to qualify for the World Cup, so it’s hard to believe they would actually accommodate this valid complaint. We do know Epic listens to the community, even if they don’t always listen, so we can certainly expect them to at least see the petition.

  • Tesla Cybertruck comes to Fortnite and players only have one obvious question – Dexerto

Tesla Cybertruck comes to Fortnite and players only have one obvious question Epic Games Inc.The Tesla Cybertruck is about to crash into Fortnite, promising to be tougher than the Titan Tank, the War Battle Bus, and a hyper-jacked Fishsticks together. Tesla Cybertruck’s real-world debut became a well-memed moment after its “unbreakable” windows shattered in a demonstration. Now this vehicle is coming to Fortnite, and Epic Games is hyping it up as the most indestructible car yet. If Epic Games’ promises are true, this behemoth will outclass the Titan Tank and War Battle Bus. The reveal clip even shows a buff Fishsticks towing a War Bus, which tows a Titan Tank that itself is being hauled by the all-powerful Cybertruck, driven by your average, scrawny Fishticks. Vehicles are players’ best weapon in the current Fortnite meta, something that has drawn criticism from players like Ninja since day one of Chapter 5 Season 3. So, naturally, players only have one burning question about the Tesla Cybertruck: Will the windows break? Everyone’s wondering if this pixelated version of Elon Musk’s pride and joy will inherit its real-life counterpart’s Achilles heel – and more importantly, will this blocky beast be bulletproof? Epic Games has yet to answer these questions. Regardless, the reaction from the Fortnite community has been less than enthusiastic. On X, players suggested making the Cybertruck rust and degrade over time or having it break down on the side of the road every five minutes. Some players even hope it can’t climb hills because watching a Cybertruck struggle up an incline would be hilarious. The reactions aren’t any more positive over on Reddit. Here, several players vowed to sharpen their virtual weapons in a collective effort to target and blow up every Cybertruck they see. As Fortnite’s vehicle-themed season draws to a close, it seems to be going out with an explosive bang. Fortnite players can see for themselves whether Elon Musk’s digital ride – and its windows – will survive the explosion when update 30.30 drops on July 23, 2024.

  • Ten Ideas To Improve Playground LTM in Fortnite – Aim Assist on Console, Increased Time Limit, and More! – Dexerto

Ten Ideas To Improve Playground LTM in Fortnite – Aim Assist on Console, Increased Time Limit, and More! The new Playground Limited Time Mode has been a hugely successful addition in Fortnite: Battle Royale. With its low-pressure environment and virtually limitless possibilities, the new mode has become an instant favorite among many in the game’s vast player-base. The premise of the LTM is simple, up to four players can load into a private match and have one hour to essentially do whatever they want. Every single chest and Loot Llama loads into the game, and the amount of resources obtained from mining and harvesting is greatly amplified. However, as good as the mode is, it’s not perfect, and there are ways that it can be improved in future versions. That being said, here are ten ways we believe that the Playground LTM can be improved: (1) Aim Assist on Console While players on PC and Mac do not have to worry about aim assist, it is still a huge aspect of gunfights on console platforms. Therefore, adding it for the console versions of the Playground LTM would be a major improvement. (2) Increased Player Limit (4) Maximum Resources From the Start However, everyone has the ability to edit each others’ builds, which can throw many 1v1 battles off balance. Disabling the ability for a player to edit another’s builds would greatly improve these awesome build-fights. (6) Manually Called in Supply Drops (7) Regenerating Chests and Loot Llamas One cool addition to the Playground mode would be to start players off at the Spawn Island, where they can have all the fun they want. Then, players can manually load into the Battle Bus once they are ready to move on to the main map. (9) Addition of AI Bots This would allow players to get a better feel for the new weapons immediately, instead of having to open countless chests hoping to get lucky.

Teeq and STRETCH win July 19 Fortnite DreamHack Open – final placements Epic Games/DreamHackA number of rising Fortnite pros managed to outshine some recognizable names in the first DreamHack Open finals. Here are the final placements for Europe and North America East. As the majority of esports events have transitioned to online, Fortnite has continued to host weekly Cash Cups and other events. Though, DreamHack stepped in to host their first-ever online Fortnite events with a total of $1.75 million on the line across numerous regions. Instead of players competing in on melting pot, the event was split between Europe and North America East. However, some competitors did manage to have a good enough connection to compete in the other event. While fans might have had their eyes on pros like Bugha, Benjyfishy, MrSavage, Bizzle, and Mongraal, the glory actually went elsewhere. So, here’s how they all got on. European DreamHack Open final standings In Europe, Polish star teeq managed to hold off 100 Thieves’ Mr Savage and Grizi Esports’ Snyzy to come out on top – finishing with 373 points from eight games, including a win and 15 eliminations. His slender lead at the top, which finished at five points, could have been in danger had Mr Savage finished slightly better in his final game. The 100 Thieves star could only manage to finish ninth, confirming his runner-up spot overall. Fortnite World Cup Champion Bugha, who is usually tipped to be one of the favorites, could only manage a 25th place finish – scoring $800 for his effort. Benjyfishy, Snyzy, and Mongraal all managed to compete in the NA East event despite being in Europe. Snyzy managed to have the best finish of the lot, coming in sixth overall and taking home an extra $3,400. Benjyfishy and Mongraal, however, only won an extra $800 and $250 respectively. They are unlikely to hop the pond next time out as North America West players will get their moment in the spot. Who will come out on top there? We’ll just have to wait and see.

  • Teenage Fortnite hackers are making thousands every week – Dexerto

Teenage Fortnite hackers are making thousands every week The issue of account hacking and selling in the world’s most popular game, Fortnite, is still a problem despite Epic Games’ best efforts, with players as young as 14 raking in big money. Fortnite Battle Royale is a free-to-play game, making its money from in-game cosmetics like character skins, backpacks, dances, and a whole lot more. So far, this model has earned the publishers in excess of $1 billion in revenue from in-game purchases alone – but they’re not the only ones making a mint off the popularity of the game. Each player who buys skins and other items keeps them in a ‘locker’. Players can buy as many or as few skins as they like, but they are tied to their single Epic Games account. More: Fortnite Season 7, Week 3 challenges and how to complete them – Ziplines, ski lodges, doorbells and more – Hackers are able to break into these accounts, change the password and apply two factor authentication, locking the owner out of their own account. 20 hackers told the BBC that these accounts can then be sold to others “for as little as 25p or hundreds of pounds”, depending on the value of account’s locker. “I was approached by someone who said I could buy an account for 25p and I could clearly see the account was worth a lot more, I bought it.” He was then told that he too could ‘crack’ accounts, simply by purchasing ‘off the shelf’ tools, and in a single day managed to crack over 1,000 accounts. He claims within his first few weeks, he had made over £1,500 (~$1900) selling accounts. “It’s lucky dip basically, you either get a good account or you don’t. People like the rarity of the ‘skins’ and it’s about the look of them and showing off to friends.” Another hacker, 17 years old from Slovenia, claimed they had made £16,000 (~$20,000) in seven months of cracking accounts. If caught, these individuals could be charged under the Computer Misuse Act and face a two year prison sentence, but one hacker said “You can’t get caught, nobody checks it.” How can you protect yourself from Fortnite hackers? The hackers told the BBC that it is “extremely hard” to hack an account which has two-factor authentication. Epic Games, in an attempt to better protect accounts, offered a free emote to players who turned on two-factor authentication, but it seems the developers are still working on a more fool-proof method.

  • Teasers for Fortnitemares seem to be a puzzle making one larger image – Dexerto

Teasers for Fortnitemares seem to be a puzzle making one larger image With two teaser images and poems now released for the mysterious ‘Fortnitemares’ 2018 in Fortnite, it looks like one larger images is set to be made of four parts. The first teaser, released on October 20, showed an unreleased skin wearing what appeared to be the hat from another season 6 skin ‘Calamity’, along with the first cryptic poem. Then, on October 21, a second image and poem was shared on Fortnite’s official Twitter, this time showing a rune trapped in chains, which some fans have speculated is the top of a pickaxe or a back bling. However, some eagle eyed Fortnite fans noticed that there was small purple lines on both images, and when put side by side, they seem to line up perfectly. Back when season 6 was being teased by Epic Games, they similarly used a technique where the teasers were coming together to form one larger image. Courtesy of @fitriihsan713, Epic once again seems to be using this technique, as the two pictures, one of the unreleased skin and the other of the rune in chains, clearly match up. It should be noted that in this example, the fan has used the versions uploaded to Fortnite’s official Instagram, rather than Twitter. Fortnite’s runes have dropped, sending the Cube Island on the move againFurther, if the two images are linked, it’s likely that the two cryptic poems are too, in one way or another, related. The first poem was as follows: Costumes and dancing, Partner up, be wise. They could be friendly, Or a ghoul in disguise. Followed by the second poem: Tombstones quake, Keep your finger steady. The circle will close, Better be ready. Perhaps this is one whole poem, yet to be completed, with four stanzas. We will have to wait and see, with another teaser expected from Epic on October 22.

  • Teasers for Fortnite Season 6 are coming next week – Dexerto

Teasers for Fortnite Season 6 are coming next week Epic Games have confirmed that they will be releasing teaser trailers for Fortnite Season 6 next week, starting Monday, September 24 at the earliest. Fans have been eagerly anticipating the latest season of the popular battle royale franchise, after it was announced that Season 6 would start on Thursday, September 27. Epic Games are known for producing teaser trailers before each season as a way to build hype ahead of what is always a massive update to the game. However, Fortnite fans who were hoping to see some new information about Season 6 this weekend will be disappointed, as Epic Games took to Reddit to confirm that there will be no trailers until next week. In a post on the Fortnite Battle Royal subreddit, Epic Games told fans to “enjoy the weekend” as “Season 6 teasers [are] on the way for next week”. While Fortnite fans have already turned their attention to Season 6, it’s worth noting that Season 5 of Fortnite has been a massive success. Players who followed ‘The Cube’ were excited to see it reach its final destination at Loot Lake, allowing the game to see it’s “biggest month yet”, with just over 78 million players hopping into the Battle Bus in August. While there is no official announcement as to what is coming to Fortnite Season 6, fans will only have to wait a few days to find out what’s coming when the new season starts on September 27.

  • Team Zayt wins Fortnite Twitch Rivals Charity Showdown – Final placements – Dexerto

Team Zayt wins Fortnite Twitch Rivals Charity Showdown – Final placements Some of Fortnite’s best professionals and streamers went head-to-head in the Fortnite Twitch Rivals Community Charity Showdown event in a bid to win a slice of the $500,000 prize pool for their charity of choice. The Fortnite competitive scene has had plenty of money pumped into it by Epic Games and other tournament organizers. The showpiece event, the Fortnite World Cup, almost set the record for the largest esports prize pool before the Dota 2 community showed out and backed The International 9 with their cash. Yet, sometimes, the events aren’t about taking home the biggest piece of the prize pool for yourself – but helping to make a difference for charity. That is exactly what the Twitch Rivals Community Charity Showdown event on December 19 was all about, as some of the best professional players around styled on their fellow competitors. It was Team Zayt – made up of Zayt, Zyfa, casqer, and mayo – that took home the top prize of 125,000 for their charity. The line-up managed to score 121 points, giving themselves a 42 point gap ahead of Team Hippiehabitat in second place. Team Liquid partners Bizzle and Chap were split into their own respective teams for the event, as Bizzle managed to pip his teammate’s squad to third place with 66 points to Chap’s 55. Popular Fortnite pro Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney only managed to come in at eighth as a part of Team americandad, grabbing $20,000 for their charity. Yet, everyone managed to score some cash, as the team’s who finished 11th-20th took home $5,000 each. The event will have three separate tournaments, each with different scoring methods. It’ll run from December 20-22, meaning players haven’t got much time left in their practice if they want to scoop up a big portion of the cash.

  • Team Liquid’s Vivid baffled by The Baller’s nerf in Fortnite – Dexerto

Team Liquid’s Vivid baffled by The Baller’s nerf in Fortnite Team Liquid / Epic GamesThe decision taken by Epic Games to quickly ‘nerf’ The Baller in Fortnite Battle Royale hasn’t gone down too well with Team Liquid’s Noah ‘Vivid’ Wright, as the professional players was left baffled by their response. The developer decided to cut the spawn rate of the game’s newest vehicle by 50% with the v8.11 content update on March 20, just over a week after it was first added to the game’s battle royale mode. However, the decision to promptly make such a change has left Vivid questioning the reason to introduce the Jurassic World-style hamster balls in the first place. In a post to Twitter, the pro player questioned Epic’s judgement. “Please stop with the 50% vehicle spawn rates for crying out loud,” he tweeted. “I’m sorry but it’s just not a good answer.” The move suggests that the idea behind the vehicle must be flawed, having halved the amount of them that now spawn across the map, which has left Vivid wondering why they introduced the Jurassic World-style hamster balls in the first place. PLEASE STOP with the 50% vehicle spawn rates for crying out loud.. I’m sorry but its just not a good answer. You make a vehicle and then nerf it by making it not spawn? Don’t you think the fundamentals of the damn vehicle are improper if your solution is to make it not spawn???? — Vivid (@VividFN) March 20, 2019 “You make a vehicle and then nerf it by making it not spawn?,” he added. “Don’t you think the fundamentals of the damn vehicle are improper if your solution is to make it not spawn?” Read More: How to find secret Banner for Week 4, Season 8 Discovery challenge – Battle Star replaced – The Baller can still be found around the battle royale map, but is clearly much rarer than it once was. Whether or not Epic will reverse the decision in the future, or perhaps make a change to the way the balls move around, is unknown. Clearly, though, Vivid isn’t happy about the move.

  • Team Liquid’s Poach wants major changes made to Fortnite esports – Dexerto

Team Liquid’s Poach wants major changes made to Fortnite esports Twitter: Poach/Epic GamesTeam Liquid’s Jake ‘Poach’ Brumleve wants to see major changes made to Fortnite to help with the game’s growth as a competitive esport. The esports side of Epic Games’ free-to-play title has been continually growing over the past few months – with the studio kicking in plenty of money and hosting some top events. However, it’s not enough for pros like Poach who want the skill of players to take precedent over factors they can’t control. Poach criticized an aspect of Battle Royale games that not even the top level pro players can control – the RNG (Random Number Generator) – which contributes to a whole load of different factors in-game that deeply affect the outcome of pro matches. “The main focus of competitive Fortnite in its current state should be fixing all bugs,” he tweeted. “Reducing end-game lag and finding a solution to have non-reliant (RNG) items for rotations/end-game. These three issues cause 75% of deaths in high tier play.” In a later tweet, he added: “There’s way too many deaths in this game caused by stuff you cannot control and it removes all competitive integrity.” There’s way too many deaths in this game caused by stuff you cannot control and it removes all competitive integrity. — POACH (@LiquidPoach) February 11, 2019 The RNG aspect of the game has been a criticism of Fortnite esports for quite some time, with the luck of the draw when it comes to looting or the zone shifting, amongst other things, taking away from the skill involved. Nevertheless, it does contribute to making each game different from another. While that may benefit casual players and fans of the game, it clearly has a massive impact on the competitive side of proceedings.

  • Team Liquid pro player Poach slams Epic Games over “game-breaking” bugs – Dexerto

Team Liquid pro player Poach slams Epic Games over “game-breaking” bugs Poach, Instagram / Epic GamesFortnite Battle Royale, despite the $30 million World Cup event being well and truly underway. Poach claims that a number of “game-breaking” issues have been in the popular battle royale game for months, seemingly baffled that the developer is yet to make changes to rectify them. The pro player and popular streamer posted a lengthy message, directed at Epic Games, to Twitter on April 17. While he didn’t name the problems specifically, the Team Liquid star pointed out that a number of fellow pros have already listed them for the developer on Reddit – to no avail. “I don’t get how there is no major bugs being addressed in any of these patches,” the pro player tweeted, clearly frustrated by the current state of the game. “There are game breaking bugs that have been in this game for months and are constantly complained about on Reddit, pros have even made lists for Epic, and still nothing,” he said, before jokingly saying: “But, thank god we can pet dogs.” I don’t get how there is no major bugs being addressed in any of these patches. There is game breaking bugs that have been in this game for months and are constantly complained about on Reddit and pros have even made lists for EPIC and still nothing, but thank god we can pet dogs — POACH (@LiquidPoach) April 17, 2019 Fortnite’s latest v8.40 patch added the option to pet other players’ backbling, as long as they’re animals. Other features included new Epic and Legendary variants of the Infantry rifle, as well as a fresh LTM called Air Royale. Read More: Dr Disrespect receives surprise phone call from FaZe Clan’s Tfue in brilliant Twitch skit – Poach’s comments, however, come just days after popular Twitch streamer Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek revealed that he had received messages from a number of Fortnite pro players, claiming that they were going to quit the game after the $30 million Fortnite World Cup event came to a close. Whether or not a number of high profile players will move away from Fortnite’s esports scene remains to be seen, but there’s certainly growing concerns lingering around the game’s competitive community. Poach is just one of many that are frustrated.

  • Team Liquid’s Poach says “a lot needs to be changed” to improve competitive Fortnite – Dexerto

Team Liquid’s Poach says “a lot needs to be changed” to improve competitive Fortnite Professional Fortnite player Jake ‘Poach’ Brumleve thinks that competitive Fortnite is currently being played on a “stock” version of the game, and needs some specific changes to change it from the casual experience. Poach, who plays for Team Liquid, voiced his concerns during a recent livestream, explaining that despite the popularity of Fortnite on Twitch, including competitive Fortnite, he still thinks changes are needed. The conclusion of Fortnite’s $8 million Summer Skirmish, which was streamed live from PAX West, peaked at over 500,000 concurrent viewers, proving that the casual fan base of Fortnite is keen to watch the game played at a high level. However, the main criticizm of Fortnite as an esport, is that it is not by nature a competitive game, rather relying to much on ‘RNG’ (random number generated) gameplay, which is fault with any battle royale game. Poach thinks that by making “storm changes, item changes and loot changes”, the game’s ‘competitiveness’ could be improved. “We’re playing a casual game, competitively right now. And that’s what the biggest problem is, of why it’s not very competitive, in my opinion. We’re playing a stock version at tournaments, everything is stock, nothing has changed to make it more competitive.” The biggest addition competitive players have been asking for from developer Epic Games is to allow custom matches, which Poach and others had the opportunity to test on September 14. More: Team Liquid pro Vivid proves why he’s among the best with crazy killing spree in Fortnite scrim – Classic esports games such as Counter-Strike, League of Legends or Dota II are designed with competitive in mind from the ground up, while Fortnite is purely a casual experience. However, other ‘casual’ games, such as Call of Duty, make significant rule changes in competitive play, made possible through custom games. It sounds like Poach wants to take a similar approach with Fortnite, as is done in Call of Duty, and in doing so transform the very casual base game in to a more competitive
