  • Ridiculous Rocket Launcher exploit discovered in Fortnite Battle Royale – Dexerto

Ridiculous Rocket Launcher exploit discovered in Fortnite Battle Royale Fortnite exploits and weapon bugs have been a hot topic of late, but it seems that Epic Games might have another huge problem on its hands with the Rocket Launcher. Players have been using the powerful launcher ever since it was first added to the game in Patch 1.6. However, the danger of using the weapon in close quarters has always been a risk for players because of the potential damage dealt to both yourself and enemies – until now. In a post to the Fortnite BR subreddit, user PreyBeats has called for the developer to work on an exploit which allows players to destroy materials right in front of them without taking damage. As shown in the clip below, players who have built around themselves thinking that they’re safe might be very mistaken, if they come up against somebody with a rocket launcher. But, why? “If you stay on one side of the pyramid and rocket the other side like I did, you don’t get damage and you drop in the opponent face” the Reddit user revealed, after posting the following video of their Victory Royale. PreyBeats also has a Hand Cannon in his inventory during the reveal of this clip, which is another Fortnite weapon which has come under scrutiny of late – with some players arguing that it may be overpowered. As we have seen with Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney’s recent reveal of a Grappler exploit, Epic is known to treat these issues seriously and promptly if the community at large is aware of the issue – sometimes by removing items or weapons from the game. Is one of the Rocket Launcher or the Hand Cannon going to be vaulted next?

  • Ridiculous Fortnite snowball glitch could lead to unfortunate losses – Dexerto

Ridiculous Fortnite snowball glitch could lead to unfortunate losses While the 2019 Fortnite Winterfest event begins to wind down, an absurd snowball glitch is leaving players defenseless and crushing their holiday spirit. Despite fireworks and a giant disco ball filling the sky as New Year’s celebrations roll through the world of Fortnite, some players are finding it difficult to feel the joy as an unfortunate bug is holding them back in the heat of competition. The Sneaky Snowman item received an overhaul with 2019’s iteration on the limited time Winterfest mode and the new function is causing all sorts of frustration. Initially implemented as a Common item, the most recent version of the Christmas-themed item has been bumped up to Rare in order to reflect its newfound versatility. Rather than simply serving as a means of camouflage on the battlefield, the snowman can now be broken down into a large snowball. Picking up the snowball allows players to throw a damaging projectile at nearby foes. While it might not be the most powerful tactic in the game today, it can certainly lead to some amusing final blows. However, certain players have discovered that the snowball can often glitch and overrule any other equipment in any given loadout. As exemplified in a video from Reddit user ‘RbotUnicornAttck,’ picking up the snowball doesn’t always go according to plan and can actually leave you completely defenseless. When I picked up the snowball I couldn’t throw it. It functioned as my pickaxe, i tried switching weapons and building but nothing worked. Even after dropping it I couldn’t switch weapons and as I get knocked.. I STILL HAVE HEALTH in my healthbar (audio is muted due to dutch profanity) byu/RbotUnicornAttck inFortNiteBR Upon breaking the snowman down and equipping the snowball, the item inexplicably covered their pickaxe and negated even the most basic of functions such as swapping weapons or building. After a failed attempt at building to try and break free from the bug, they were left empty-handed and it didn’t take long for enemies to capitalize on the moment and secure an easy elimination. Obviously a frustrating bug that creates a lopsided situation for all who are unlucky enough to encounter it, there’s no telling whether Epic Games will issue a fix before the Christmas-themed event comes to an end in the near future. Certainly not the first glitch stemming from the Sneaky Snowman item, avid Fortnite players have discovered some over-the-top combinations that highlight bizarre physics quirks in the Battle Royale title. For instance, players recently found out the hard way that snowballs do not mix well with Motorboats unless you’re intentionally wanting to reach the moon.

  • Ridiculous Fortnite motorboat glitch could wipe your squad in seconds – Dexerto

Ridiculous Fortnite motorboat glitch could wipe your squad in seconds Epic GamesFortnite’s motorboats are once again the subject of a new devastating glitch as entire teams can be taken out of commission due to an absurd bug that could strike at any moment. Since Fortnite’s transition to a brand new physics engine with the 11.50 update, the popular battle royale title has been littered with frustrating and often lethal glitches that can end a run out of the blue. From Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney phasing into a wall and instantly dying, to a number of glitches that have sent players sky-high, there’s never any shortage of new discoveries. However, entire teams can be wiped in the blink of an eye due to the latest bizarre issue. Surviving until the halfway point of the match with exactly 50 players left alive, Reddit user ‘Nozza123’ and their squad were enjoying a quick trip together on a motorboat. Fully kitted out with an arsenal of rare loot and powerful gear, the crew was emoting through the map with seemingly all the confidence in the world. As they rapidly approached land and looked to scavenge the next area however, disaster struck as the run was cut short and the team was instantly taken deleted from the match. From dancing on top of the world to exploding into a huge pile of loot, three members of the squad vanished into thin air while one remaining player was given a few extra seconds under the map to take in the devastation before also being wiped. “Well, at least we now know never to build in front of boats,” the caption read, as the players realized that a single ramp is what caused the vehicle to bug out and phase through the ground. While they crashed through the first angled surface, the second put an end to their momentum before dropping the team through the floor without explanation. Not the first time that a motorboat-related issue has caused players to fall through the map, the vehicle can also phase through the world even when not in motion whatsoever. Additionally, another frustrating bug has been having the opposite effect and forcing players into an underwater realm while perfectly dry and on land.

  • Ridiculous Fortnite exploit allows players to phase through enemy builds – Dexerto

Ridiculous Fortnite exploit allows players to phase through enemy builds Fortnite is no stranger to quirky bugs and over the top exploits, and a newly discovered bug could lead to your next Victory Royale as players have uncovered a way of phasing through enemy structures. Placing a building block overhead often provides a sense of security in knowing that enemies can’t simply build up overhead and drop down into your structure with ease. On paper, this gives you ample time to heal up and reload your weapons before breaking out and entering combat once again. A devastating exploit has been discovered that puts ceilings to shame, however, as players are now able to phase through materials and get the jump on anyone below. With enemies standing overhead of any given structure, a common strategy for those trapped underneath is to simply spam a ceiling block over and over in order to stay alive for a few vital seconds. This method ensures that singular opponents won’t be quick enough to smash their way through until your building materials have been depleted that is. A new exploit is capable of nullifying this entire process however. As demonstrated in a January 6 post from Reddit user ‘Jrizmo,’ attacking foes are now easily able to phase through ceiling blocks by building a small structure of their own. Connecting a flat wooden block to any side of the ceiling and then cutting it in half will enable the cheeky exploit. Once the structure is in place, all that’s needed is for the player to stand directly in line with the center of the building block and beginning hacking away at the connected roof. Clearly an oversight from the developers at Epic Games, for whatever reason the presence of this new piece allows players to phase through blocks underneath them in a matter of seconds. According to comments from various members of the Fortnite community, the effect can also be replicated by having your back to any wall and digging down just the same. In fact, this method might be even safer as to block a line of sight from potential third-party opposition. If you plan on bunkering down while enemies are nearby before this issue is resolved, be sure to keep in mind that a simple build from the competition can have them glitching inside your safe area in no time at all. Certainly not the only bug that involves falling through sections of the map, a recent bug impacting console players has seen a number of gamers falling through entire buildings.

  • Reverse Gungame LTM could be coming soon to Fortnite, according to leaks – Dexerto

Reverse Gungame LTM could be coming soon to Fortnite, according to leaks Newly found leaks in Fortnite Battle Royale point to a new Limited Time Mode coming soon that would feature the traditional format of Gungame but in reverse. What is Gungame? Gungame is a popular multiplayer game mode found in various shooters that features a lobby of players trying to eliminate each other in a free-for-all-style format. All of the players starts out with the same lower-tier weapon loadout and and after each kill, the player advances to the next weapon loadout on the list. The game ends when one player manages to get a kill with every single weapon loadout on the list, which is usually comprise of 18-20 weapons, both ballistic and melee. What is Reverse Gungame and how would it work? According to leaks uncovered by prominent data-miner @FortTory, there is a Reverse Gungame LTM coming soon to Fortnite that would flip the classic Gungame format on its head. Instead of players starting off with the lower-tier weapons, they would start with the same powerful weapons and work themselves down, until one player gets through the entire list from best to worst and earns the Victory Royale. Reverse Gungame LTM: Description: All players start with the same powerful weapon. Eliminating a player grants a weapon of slightly lesser power. The first to make it through every weapon, from best to worst, earns the Victory Royale!Release date of this LTM is unknown — FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) April 2, 2019 In addition, FortTory has discovered and leaked game files that reveal further details about the Reverse Gungame LTM, such as the fact that lobbies will consist of 20 players and everyone has to be playing individually, meaning that there can not be parties or squads. Seems like the Reverse Gungame LTM will be with games with an total of 20 players! pic.twitter.com/9sKpkfP5hc — FortTory – Fortnite Leaks & News (@FortTory) April 2, 2019 Would Reverse Gungame work in Fortnite? While there hasn’t been much information revealed about the Reverse Gungame LTM other than what’s included above, fans are already eagerly hatching ideas for how the mode would work in Fortnite. For one, since there appears to be a 20-player limit to each lobby with no squads, players are speculating that matches would take place either in a randomly selected area rather than the whole map, or that the Storm circle would be constantly shrinking and at a high rate. Also, since in traditional Gungame, players can get demoted a weapon if they get killed via melee, a similar system could be in place in Reverse Gungame for players who get eliminated by a pickaxe attack. When does the Reverse Gungame LTM release in Fortnite? Unfortunately, the release date for the Reverse Gungame LTM has not yet been found in game files, so there’s no real way to know when it would go live in Fortnite. In fact, considering that all of the information we know about it is from leaks and none of it has been officially announced, this LTM may end up never seeing the light of day.

  • Revealed: Mouthwatering millions Ninja made at height of Fortnite fame – Dexerto

Revealed: Mouthwatering millions Ninja made at height of Fortnite fame PixlrTyler “Ninja” Blevins has finally lifted the lid on how much he was raking in at the height of his explosive Fortnite fame, and it’s mind-blowing: in just one month, the Twitch superstar banked more than $5m from his creator code alone. It’s no secret streaming on Twitch is a wealthy pastime for the biggest names on the platform. There’s subscriptions and donos, and if you go big — like Ludwig’s recent viral subathon — you could be looking at $100-200k a month. Then there’s sponsorships, brand deals, and exclusivity contracts; high-profile creators like Ninja and Shroud attract huge bidding wars. Streamers have also revealed in the past signing up for advertising streams with studios can pocket them a pretty penny too. Asmongold was offered $300k to play a new title for “a single day,” and insiders told Dexerto that Shroud and Dr Disrespect hauled $1m to play Apex Legends. All that was dwarfed, however, by Ninja’s earning power at the height of his Fortnite popularity back in 2018, when he was raking in millions a month. Ninja finally made his Fortnite return this week, breaking a lengthy hiatus that was spurred on by stream snipers and “stupid baby f**king clout-chasing losers.” During his re-debut, the Twitch star got onto the topic of earnings in Epic’s flagship battle royale title. While everyone knows he was topping the earnings chart in mid-2018 with subs and rafts of donations, he also revealed a “massive” part of his cash came from Fortnite’s popular “Support-a-Creator” code. “I think the most I ever made in a month off the Fortnite creator code was something like $5 million,” the streamer admitted. “I’m not joking.” “You know, it’s funny,” he continued soon after, “but I actually talked sh*t to someone the other day who was just roasting my League of Legends game, and I told him that I could buy his family tree.” Read More: How does Ninja make money? – Creators only get 5% of every purchase, so the Fortnite skins Ninja sold must have been astronomical; Epic likely netted around $100m just from his sales. Back in 2019, the former Halo pro suggested he made “close to $10 million” across the entirety of 2018, with 70% of that coming from Twitch and YouTube. If that’s the case, he may have been lowballing — even if $5M was an anomaly, earning a fifth of that on average would have netted around $14-15 million. Combining these figures, Dexerto tips “the best year of [Ninja’s] life” actually made him closer to a smidge under $25 million in 2018. It’s truly mouthwatering stuff, and that doesn’t even include his Red Bull deal or the streamer’s monster Mixer signing that was soon to come either.

  • Snow is falling on Fortnite and fans think it may cover the map again – Dexerto

Snow is falling on Fortnite and fans think it may cover the map again Just when you thought that we might have waved goodbye to the fully covered snow map on Fortnite, its return might be being teased by Epic Games as snow is found falling once again. The snow biome was added to the game at the beginning of Fortnite Season 7, with the v7.00 patch, and brought with it a number of different icy locations – such as Frosty Flights, Polar Peak and Happy Hamlet. After weeks of speculation about the snow potentially spreading across the entire map during the festive season, it did come into fruition but suddenly all melted away just after Christmas day. But now, it could be set for an abrupt return. It has started to snow again on Fortnite and not just in the typical icy locations which you might expect. One Reddit user has posted a video which shows them walking near the race track in the desert biome, where the player is shocked to find snow falling around them. Whether or not this is confirmation of the full snow map’s return is unclear, however it does seem strange for it to be snowing in these types of areas. Other parts of the Fortnite map have been melting as well, with more and more of the Ice Castle at Polar Peake being revealed as time goes on. As the ice melted, what looks to be a a series of dragon eggs have been found at the location. Their inclusion in the game were widely speculated before they found and recorded on December 21 by FortTory.

  • Reports Suggest Fortnite Wil be Coming to the Nintendo Switch Sooner Than Expected – Dexerto

Reports Suggest Fortnite Wil be Coming to the Nintendo Switch Sooner Than Expected Reports have suggested that Fortnite: Battle Royale will be coming to the Nintendo Switch much sooner than expected following datamining. Although various leaks and rumors have circled around the gaming community in recent months in regards to Fortnite: Battle Royale coming to the Nintendo Switch, nothing has been confirmed by Epic Games, Nintendo, or any other company at the time of writing. While reports have been strong from a variety of community members, which has led to fans questioning when a release will take place, yet the developers have stood strong in their ability to keep such a project under wraps. Fortnite has gained an incredible amount of recognition since its launch in 2017 for its incredibly unique twist on the ever-popular ‘Battle Royale’ genre, and bringing it to the Nintendo Switch would be a major success for both the title and gaming system. However, new reports on June 11th from a dataminer by the name of Simon Aarons suggest that Fortnite will be coming to the Nintendo Switch as soon as June 12th, which would line up with the official Nintendo presentation during E3 in Los Angeles, California. @SciresM While you may not be able to view the Fortnite eShop listing in the storefront (Ashigaru) yet, Shogun + my tool is always there to save the day pic.twitter.com/ljzy8baBzp — Simon Aarons (@SimonMKWii) June 11, 2018 As if writing, it is still unconfirmed if Fortnite: Battle Royale will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. • #Removethemech trending worldwide as Fortnite pros and orgs revolt on Epic – Dexerto

#Removethemech trending worldwide as Fortnite pros and orgs revolt on Epic Nonstopsigns / TechnobezzCompetitive players and esports organizations have unified in a public movement against the BRUTE mech suits in Fortnite Battle Royale, enough to get the hashtag #REMOVETHEMECH trending worldwide on Twitter. It’s been a contentious time for Fortnite players in recent weeks, to say the least, with most of their frustrations surrounding the overpowered BRUTEs that are currently dominating the popular battle royale title. These frustrations reached a critical boiling point on August 9, when Epic Games announced that the mech suits were not only here to stay, but would also remain in the Arena, cash prize tournaments, and in other competitive modes. Predictably, this led to a lot of the prominent members of the competitive community to express their outrage on social media, and they were surprisingly joined by top-tier esports organizations in their efforts to convince Epic to act. Collectively, players and organizations spammed #REMOVETHEMECH on Twitter so much, that the hashtag made it high up on the most trending tweets worldwide. Fortnite superstars Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, and Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff, who nearly have a combined four million followers on the platform, certainly played a big role in the getting this avalanche started. I’ve played Fortnite since it was released. The community has joined together 3 times to voice their extreme displeasure about something in the game: planes, the Infinity Sword, and the mechs. So far the community is right each time. Hope we see mechs removed.#RemoveTheMech — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) August 10, 2019 Look at the camaraderie! Love it. Really hope this works. #RemoveTheMech — Nickmercs (@NICKMERCS) August 10, 2019 As for organizations, some of the top esports teams in the world joined in on this movement, making sure that the hashtag go as much juice as possible. The list of orgs includes FaZe Clan, Team SoloMid, and Luminosity Gaming, all of whom hold a major presence in Fortnite esports. Why #REMOVETHEMECH? Since the addition of the mech suits at the start of Season X, a large majority of the player-base has called on Epic Games to either remove the vehicle, or nerf it to the point where they are no longer a game-changer. Equipped with 1,000 health points, a shotgun that deals 50 damage, a missile launcher that can fire 10 missiles at once, and an overshield that protects the user, these BRUTES usually mean certain death when they come against anyone, even the best players in the world. Unfortunately, as far as nerfing them go, Epic have decided the best they could do is add a laser that provides both a visual and auditory warning to players when they are getting targeted by the rocket launcher, which doesn’t seem like it will help all that much. However, with #REMOVETHEMECH no taking center-stage on social media, the ball is now in Epic’s court, and they have a big decision on their hands.

However, one new item that is expected to be added is the new Heavy Assault Rifle weapon that has been shown in the pre-lobby Message of the Day screen since November 2. While no specific details about the new weapon have been offered, it’s appearance and in-game description suggest that it will be similar to the iconic AK-47 weapon, and one of its varieties could of Legendary rarity. Furthermore, the use of the word “Fall” and the orange leaves emoji in the tweet above could be hint at a new Fall-themed event coming to Fortnite, which would bridge the gap between the now-concluded Fortnitemares and the Holiday season themes. The newest Starter Pack cosmetic and V-Bucks bundle, called Summit Striker, will also be added in the game following this update, replacing the Ace Starter Pack that goes out of the in-game shop on November 5. • Reddit’s suggestion for a better way to display materials in Fortnite is pretty great – Dexerto

Reddit’s suggestion for a better way to display materials in Fortnite is pretty great This community suggestion from Reddit’s /r/FortniteBR could make picking up materials much easier in game. Right now, every bunch of materials looks the exact same, whether it is 30 wood or 500 wood. Similar to how old-school Runescape used to change the pile of gold depending on how much was in it, Fortnite could have three or four different designs that give the player an idea if the stack is worth going for. Proposed by /u/Shelim, this concept would make it easier to judge whether or not to enter the storm for materials, or even just if someone killed a ways away is worth looting. Plus Epic could have some fun with the different designs, making them more unique than just larger bundles of the same material design. One Reddit user proposed large amounts of wood becoming pallets and another proposed that drops over 500 materials would take the shape of llamas made out of the material. Of course, not everyone was in support of this idea. One user said, “the game doesn’t need to give you every answer,” and another said they enjoyed the risk in having to choose whether or not to attempt a looting. Epic has put community suggestions into the game before, and this is certainly a popular one, as it leads the subreddit with a score over 6,000 as of writing.

  • Reddit User’s Incredible Recreation of Mario Kart in Fortnite’s New Playground LTM – Dexerto

Reddit User’s Incredible Recreation of Mario Kart in Fortnite’s New Playground LTM It may be hard to argue against the claim that the new Playground Limited Time Mode in Fortnite may be the most fun mode that’s been added to the game yet. Offering a carefree and low-pressure environment, the new mode has instantly become a player favorite, with many using it to create immense structures and/or complete incredible stunts. One such is player is Reddit user ‘JoshB_C,’ who has recreated in Fortnite’s Playground mode one of the most popular video games series of all time – Mario Kart. A timeless classic, Mario Kart is a series of go-kart style racing games developed and published by Nintendo in which players race against each other on iconic tracks while playing as various characters from the Mario universe. Read More: Hysteria Demonstrates How to Fly Across Loot Late in Fortnite Using a Shopping Cart and Bounce Pads – Using the virtually unlimited resources available in the Playground LTM, the player built a race track called ‘Tilted Track’ that wormed its way through and around the various buildings in Tilted Towers. The track is very similar to the ones that would normally be found in a Mario Kart game, except instead of cars, they used Shopping Carts, and instead of Mario characters, they used classic Fortnite skins. The result was rather spectacular, as the camera movements used in the in-game Replay system, the music soundtrack, and the lettering of the track’s title and race position all perfectly resembled the classic theme of Mario Kart. With the game jokingly having a reputation to create animosity among friends, the new Mario Kart recreation in Fortnite could see the end to some friendships.

  • Reddit user shows three great ways to phase through walls in Fortnite – Dexerto

Reddit user shows three great ways to phase through walls in Fortnite Building walls is a common way for Fortnite players to defend themselves from the onrush of enemies, and therefore getting through those walls can be important for winning gunfights. Reddit user ‘ImSpeedyGonzalez,’ who is known for his Fortnite tutorials, has posted a video in which he details three different methods players can use to get through their enemies’ walls. This can be especially crucial since shooting through the walls in a regular manner can prove to be futile if the opponent is turbo building them from the other side. The first method involves setting up a floor piece under the enemy wall, and then editing it to form a spiral pattern that goes through the structure. Then, pickaxing or spraying bullets at the wall will allow the player to phase through it, even if the opponent is turbo building the wall to keep it upright. Read More: It’s now possible to ‘bunny-hop’ in Fortnite – The next method described involves the same concept, but uses a reverse ramp instead of a floor piece. Standing on the angle of the reverse ramp and using a pickaxe rapidly shooting at the wall should cause the player to go through to the other side. The final method requires the use of a pyramid/roof piece placed on the floor directly in front of the ramp. Just as with the other methods, standing on the roof piece and pickaxing or spraying the enemy wall will allow the player to phase through. The Reddit user does wrap up the video with a few important points. He warns players to be weary when using these techniques to invade enemy 1×1 structures, since there is always the risk of getting trapped. He also admits that the pyramid/roof piece technique is probably the most effective and potent, since the other methods either require time to edit, or force the player to turn their back for a split-second.

  • Reddit user shares last-minute rule change for TwitchCon’s Fortnite Fall Skirmish tournament that could change the meta entirely – Dexerto

Reddit user shares last-minute rule change for TwitchCon’s Fortnite Fall Skirmish tournament that could change the meta entirely Epic Games appear to be making some last-minute rule changes ahead of the final round of the Fortnite Fall Skirmish series at TwitchCon. Fortnite’s TwitchCon events will include a Duos tournament that is open to anyone that registered online and a ‘Stream-Vitational’ competition that features a number of high profile content creators and some lucky TwitchCon attendees. The combined prize pool for the two events will be ‘at least’ $2.6 million but the run up to it has not been a smooth one. Epic have already disabled the Fortnitemares zombies for the event following uproar from the competitive community, but it looks like the last-minute rule changes didn’t end there. Reddit user ‘FatLikeCheese’ took to the FortniteCompetitive subreddit to share a screenshot, presumably of an email from Epic Games, that outlined some rule adjustments that will now put a far greater emphasis on picking up kills during the competition: “A special bonus is being added to all tournament matches. This includes ALL Heats. $10,000 will be awarded to the duo with the most combined eliminations during circles 3 and 4. During the match, admins will give indicators to when this phase is active. – If two or more duos are tied for the most eliminations during the special phase, the $10,000 bonus is withheld and rolled-over into the next match in the series. So the next match of the series will have a bonus $10,000 PLUS the existing $10,000. This will continue to roll-over until the bonus is claimed by the duo with the most eliminations. – If a roll-over tie occurs in the final match in the hear, the current bonus is rolled-over into the first match of the grand finals. If a roll-over tie occurs in the final match of the grand finals, the current bonus is rolled-over into the existing $50,000 total elimination bonus.” – Some Redditors were quick to slam Epic Games for adding hidden rule changes, claiming that this is simply an attempt to prevent competitors from playing for the late game. Others are simply excited to see how this will affect the meta. Luckily for them, they’ll find out soon enough as the competition is set to begin today, October 26. There has currently been no confirmation about the rule change from Epic Games.

  • Reddit User Makes Charts Showing Fall Damages Taken From Jumping and Walking Off Different Heights in Fortnite – Dexerto

Reddit User Makes Charts Showing Fall Damages Taken From Jumping and Walking Off Different Heights in Fortnite Fall damage can be one of the most annoying things in Fortnite: Battle Royale, usually because it’s often avoidable and can mess things up in a hurry. Sometimes it can even seem inconsistent; players often complain that they sustain varying amounts of damage from falling from the same exact height. Reddit user ‘RealSkylitPanda’ has done some research on the matter, and has come up with in-game charts that demonstrate how much damage is inflicted when falling. His efforts have yielded two charts, one for jumping off certain heights, and one for simply walking off, with the measurements being in units of wall height. Read More: Quick and Easy Way to Get Down From Great Heights in Fortnite Without a Bouncer or Launch Pad – Here are the different amounts of fall damage a player will take when walking off these heights: 3 walls: none – 3.3 walls: none – 3.5 walls: 11 – 4 walls: 19 – 4.3 walls: 26 – 4.5 walls: 34 – 5 walls: 49 – 5.3 walls: 63 – 5.5 walls: 74 – 6 walls: 99 – 6+ walls: Death – Here are the different amounts of fall damage a player will take when jumping off these heights: 3 walls: 12 – 3.3 walls: 17 – 3.5 walls: 21 – 4 walls: 36 – 4.3 walls: 44 – 4.5 walls: 52 – 5 walls: 77 – 5.3 walls: 91 – 5.5+ walls: Death – Obviously these statistics have not been verified or confirmed by any other sources, so players will have to take RealSkylitPanda’s word for it. However, assuming that these charts are right, this information would be well worth keeping in mind when considering jumping or walking off heights in Fortnite.

  • Reddit User Creates Concept for How to Make Loot Lake a More Appealing Place to Land in Fortnite – Dexerto

Reddit User Creates Concept for How to Make Loot Lake a More Appealing Place to Land in Fortnite Despite the various unique locations on the Fortnite: Battle Royale map, most players tend to choose to land at only a few of them. Players will often look to land in either large or more central points-of-interest such as Tilted Towers or Paradise Palms, avoiding the smaller fringe locations such as Junk Junction and Flush Factory. However, despite being a large and central location on the map, Loot Lake is often considered to be on the less desirable places to land. Many attribute this to the fact that aside from the factories on its shore and the house in the middle, there are not many places to find loot, and getting from one end of the lake to the other can often be a lengthy and costly task. A Reddit user by the name of ‘zane415’ has offered up a suggestion on how to make Loot Lake a more appealing landing spot. The user’s solution would be for Epic Games to add a few hotels and lake houses in and around the location, to make it both an alluring and efficient place to land. Zane415 even took the time to demonstrate the potential of the suggestion by building several structures around Loot Lake in the Playground Limited Time Mode. Judging by his concept image, adding such structures would very likely attract many players to land at the POI, especially since it is so central on the Fortnite map.

  • Reddit user claims SMGs were secretly nerfed in Fortnite on console – Dexerto

Reddit user claims SMGs were secretly nerfed in Fortnite on console A Reddit user has offered an explanation to Fortnite players on console who have been questioning their ability to use Submachine Guns. According to a post put out on the FortNiteBR Reddit page, several months ago, Epic Games had implemented an unannounced reduction to the aim assist of console players when using an SMG weapon. The user claims that this secret nerf was administered as a way to stop the ‘spam meta’ that was dominated gameplay at the time. This has apparently worked to an extent, since a lot of console players have reverted to using shotguns as their secondary attack weapon. No, you haven’t suddenly gotten worse at the game. A couple months ago, a significant change to aim assist was made in an attempt to fix an abuse of the mechanic. Some people would constantly re-aim or spam ADS at close ranges to become extremely accurate with sub machine guns. In order to fix this, a change was made to weaken aim assist on these weapons. It wasn’t in the patch notes but it was pretty clear when it happened Thus, according to the post, controller players who have been struggling to use SMGs over the past weeks and months are not doing so because of a drop off in skill, but rather because of this secret reduction to aim assist. Aim assist is one of the crucial aspects of playing Fortnite with a controller, and without it, players simply cannot reproduce the same level of accuracy in their shots. I think a lot of console players went back to exclusively using shotguns again because of how poorly they have been performing with sub machine guns […] Console players severely underestimate the amount that aim assist helps. Turn off aim assist and you won’t get any kills at all. Since Epic Games never made mention of this change to aim assist at the time, there is no way of verifying whether the claims made in this Reddit post are true. However, this would not be the first time something like this happened; the developers have been known to experiment and test out new adjustments under the radar, and there have been changes before that were not included in patch notes. However, the Reddit user’s goal is not to have this change reversed; he is simply trying to bring this information to light for the sake of those who may have been questioning why they could no longer use SMGs the way they had been able to before. I’m not saying to buff the sub machine guns to their former glory, I’m just explaining this to people who don’t know about it. So if you’re still using sub machine guns because you “used to be really good with them”, keep this is mind. This was actually the biggest nerf to the spray meta on console, and no one knew about it. • Reddit shows YouTuber HappyPower breaking Fortnite EULA and gets him removed from Support-A-Creator – Dexerto

Reddit shows YouTuber HappyPower breaking Fortnite EULA and gets him removed from Support-A-Creator Epic’s new Support-a-Creator program has caused a fair amount of drama in a short period, the latest of which is a YouTuber who was removed from the program after a post on Reddit shot to the top of /r/FortniteBR. HappyPower is a YouTuber with over 450,000 subscribers and, until this morning, was a part of Epic’s program that allows Fortnite players to share the wealth with some of their favorite content creators when they spend V-bucks in game. He was removed from the program after a post on Reddit’s /r/FortniteBR by /u/AIexTheGOD showed a tweet where HappyPower explained how to avoid bans after modding the game. Any mods to the game go against Epic’s End User License Agreement (EULA), even just changes to cosmetic skins like the Rainbow Skull Trooper featured in Happy’s tweet. The YouTuber went back to Twitter to call the person who posted the original tweet on Reddit a “little shit.” That tweet has since been deleted but the screenshot of it was posted on Reddit. Not deleted is another series of tweets from HappyPower where he says “The color change of Skin didn’t break TOS,” but that is incorrect. From the Fortnite End User License Agreement:” [You may not] (e) reverse engineer, derive source code from, modify, adapt, translate, decompile, or disassemble it or make derivative works based on it; (f) remove, disable, circumvent, or modify any proprietary notice or label or security technology included in it; (g) create, develop, distribute, or use any unauthorized software programs to gain advantage in any online or other game modes.” Last tweet about this person’s 5 minutes of fame and for those who are uneducated. The *COLOR* change of a Skin didn’t break TOS. You needed to buy the Skin In order to even have the mod, #2: ONLY *I* could see the Skin changed. #3: It didn’t give me any sort of advantage in-game — Happy Power (@HappyPower) October 16, 2018 What HappyPower was promoting would fall under ‘modify’ and is certainly a violation of the EULA. While Rainbow Skull Trooper does not provide a competitive advantage because only the modder can see the color change, creating an advantage is not a requirement when determining if an act violated the EULA.

Record Breaking 48 Kill Fortnite Solo Game Should Have Been 54 The now infamous Fortnite player ‘Elemental_Ray’ gained notoriety recently after he wiped out 48 players in a single solo game – taking advantage as over half the lobby looked on at the rocket launch. The rocket launch event was the first major live event taking place in Fortnite, and an unwritten truce of sorts had been agreed between players. Because the rocket launch would only be visible once, many player put down their weapons and gazed into the battle royale island sky, to witness the event. But of course, there were bound to be some spoil sports taking advantage of those with their guard down, and one player, Elemental_Ray took his chance to break the solo kills record. By destroying the ramp which held 48 players, Elemental_Ray send them flying to their demise – but it turns out that the ramp was in fact holding more than 48 players. A reddit post shows that there was in fact 54 players on the elevated platform, but the elimination of six of them was attributed to another player after they did removed a single timber floor piece. The post shows a player by the name PcGaming1724 breaking the platform holding the six other players, meaning that the record was reduced to only 48, attributed to Elemental_Ray. Many have already written off the 48 kill record as simply unbeatable, so imagine it was bolstered by another six kills. The guilty party, Elemental_Ray has also made a video explaining his side of the story, showing that another player was in fact planning to knock the ramp, and so he simply swooped in and took the glory.

The Guided Missile was previously vaulted and then brought back in to the battle royale mode, but its novelty has somewhat worn off, and its usefulness too. Many players use it simply as a scouting tool, by getting to a safe spot and then directing the missile around the map to get vision on the surrounding area while staying cover. However, in terms of lethal effectiveness, it is well beaten by the simpler, traditional Rocket Launcher, and now the new ‘Quad Launcher’ has put it further down the pecking order. So, since it is used primarily as a scouting tool anyway, one creative Fortnite fan has come up with a replacement – an actual scouting item, in the form of a controllable recon drone. The drone would be operated just like how you use the free cam in Replay Mode, and would have a finite battery life, only allowing three 15 second uses. Enemy players would also be able to hear the drone and shoot it down, so it wouldn’t be all powerful, but still a very useful piece of equipment. Given that Epic Games has already vaulted the Guided Missile before, and are always looking to the community for new ideas, there is a real possibility something like this could make it into the game. With the Quad Launcher added in the latest update, v6.02, a lot of players feel there are now too many explosive weapons, and so replacing the Guided Missile would help with that issue too.

  • Recap, Highlights, and Final Placements of the Fortnite ‘Summer Skirmish’ $500K Week 7 Tournament (Day One) – Dexerto

Recap, Highlights, and Final Placements of the Fortnite ‘Summer Skirmish’ $500K Week 7 Tournament (Day One) Day One of the Fortnite ‘Summer Skirmish’ $500K Week 7 Duos tournament has all wrapped up for both the European and North American regions. After both regions played five games each, the NA tournament was won by FaZe’s ‘Thiefs’ and Team Liquid pro player ‘Chap,’ with EU players ‘Lefoubruiteur’ and ‘Skiiiite’ winning their region’s tournament. Both teams took home $40,000 for getting first place in their respective regions. Before reading the rest of the recap, make sure to brush up on the scoring format for this week’s competition: Each game, Duos will be ranked based on the points earned in a single game. Victory Royales and Eliminations earn players points that will be scored at the end of each match. The Duo with the most points at the end of the series wins. Elimination: +1 Point Victory Royale: +5 Points 8+ Eliminations: +5 Points NA Recap Thiefs and Chap put in a dominant performance from start to finish, holding a wire-to-wire lead atop the standings and finishing with a very impressive 51 points. Perhaps the most impressive thing about their tournament victory was that they did it without winning a single match, meaning their points were all from eliminations. Coming in second place with 49 points were the Week 6 NA champions ‘Nate Hill’ and ‘FunkBomb,’ who secured another $30,000 in prizes, despite also not winning any of the five matches. The duo of ‘Symfuhny’ and ‘NRG Zayt’ rounded off the top three with their own 35 points, good enough for $20,000. However, 20 of their 35 points came in the fifth and final match, in which the pair put in a monstrous performance to gain the maximum points possible in a single match and secure their placement. Although they finished ninth, ‘Timthetatman’ and Team Liquid pro player ‘Poach’ deserve an honorable mention as they managed to win two of the five matches, including this epic finale in Game 1. NA Top 20 Final Placements (Day One) Coming in second place with 25 points and $30,000 were ‘Solary Kinstaar’ and ‘Lunary Jbzzed’, the champions of the Summer Skirmish event the previous week. Just as with the winners, this pair also took advantage of the five point bonus, getting it after their Victory Royale in Game 4. Coming in third place, despite not winning any of the five matches, were ‘Teekzie’ and ‘Lunary Xewer,’ who also managed to get 25 points matches but won only $20,000 since they did not own the tiebreaker. Summer Skirmish Week 6 European Top Earners Surprisingly, GotagaTV and Mickalow_ took home the top spot despite failing to win a single match. Their consistent performances were enough to edge out the second place Fnatic_Eryc and Tommo. Fnatic_Eric an Tommo had more kills with 30 compared to GotagaTV and Mickalow’s 27, but it was not enough to earn the most prize money for the weekend, Much like the EU top earners however, KingRichard and GhostDmo did not win any of the five matches. DisguisedToast1 and NotVivid also failed to secure a Victory Royale, thought third place earners FaZe Thiefs and LiquidChap won one. While they also did not get any match wins, they were able to take advantage of some bonus points, thanks to plays like this. During the fifth and final match, there were severe lag and server issues, which led to Epic ending the match prematurely and granting victories to the teams that were still alive at the time. Individual NA Match Results In second place were Fnatic_Eryc and Tommo, who displayed extreme consistency as they managed to get 30 points without winning a single match. • Razer’s big Fortnite collab offers more than just pretty peripherals – Dexerto

Razer’s big Fortnite collab offers more than just pretty peripherals DexertoRazer has teamed up with Fortnite to release their own full range of officially licensed PC peripherals, inspired by the Battle Royale’s classic Battle Bus and Loot Llama. The Razer Fortnite Edition collection launched on June 27, with four yellow-and-blue Razer PC peripherals. These included the Deathadder V3 Pro mouse, BlackWidow V4 keyboard, Kraken V3 headset, and Goliathus Extended Chroma mat. Every item from Razer’s Fortnite Edition collection comes with its own cosmetic skin rewards, too. Here’s a rundown of everything you can get and which free in-game rewards you can claim. Razer Deathadder V3 Pro Fortnite Edition Price: $169.99 In-game reward: Cliffhanger Pickaxe Razer’s Deathadder V3 Pro version has been given a Fortnite face-lift. The featherweight pro version from the classic mouse range features a large yellow Llama spray wrap as part of a blue-metal Battle Bus aesthetic. The wireless mouse comes with five buttons, a 90-hour battery life, a maximum DPI of 30,000, and further customizable features. You will receive the Cliffhanger Pickaxe, which was released in Fortnite’s first-ever season, with every Razer Deathadder V3 Pro Fortnite Edition purchase. Razer BlackWidow V4 X Fortnite Edition Price: $169.99 In-game reward: Demon Skull Pickaxe The Razer BlackWidow V4 X mechanical keyboard features a similar Fortnite overlay as seen on the mouse, as well as some extra metal detailing and the iconic Chroma RGB lighting for each key. Despite the mouse being wireless, this Fortnite-themed keyboard is a wired version. You will receive the Demon Skull Pickaxe, which was introduced during Fortnite’s 8th season, with every Razer BlackWidow V4 X Fortnite Edition. Razer Kraken V3 X Fortnite Edition Price: $99.99 In-game reward: Raptor Glider Razer Kraken V3 X headset follows suit visually, but this time with a more minimalistic Fortnite approach. The cups include the same bold blue aesthetic, just without the metal-style detailing, and the body instead has some subtle Battle Bus graphics against a black background. The headset also has a small unique Loot Llama icon that lights up with Chroma RGB lighting at the side of each headphone to add some bonus Fortnite appeal. You will receive the Raptor Glider from Fortnite’s original first Season with every Razer Kraken V3 X purchase. Razer Goliathus Extended Chroma Fortnite Edition Price: $99.99 In-game reward: Dauntless Dragon Glider If you want to go heavy on repping Fortnite, then Razer’s Goliathus Extended Chroma Fortnite Edition mat fits the bill. It incorporates much larger Battle Bus and Loot Llama branding than any of the others in the bundle. In particular, there is a sizeable yellow Llama spray covering most of the right-hand side and a metal-style Battle Bus detailing on the far left. To finish it off, Razer has added its typical customizable RGB lighting around the entire edge of the mat. You will receive the Dauntless Dragon Glider from Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 with every Razer Goliathus Extended Chroma purchase. Gaming performance Despite the Razer Deathadder V3 mouse being the only ‘Pro’ model from the collection, Razer’s Fortnite edition PC peripherals are perfectly suited for gaming. In particular, the mouse, keyboard, and headset all feature high-end hardware and tons of customizable features to match your Fortnite playstyle. Razer’s Deathadder V3 Pro is incredibly light for a mouse and is a standout in the bundle with its classic ergonomic design and bonus side buttons for fast builds and weapon switching. Using the Razer Synapse software, you can crank your DPI up to 30,000 and alter other options depending on your preference to snap on your enemies in your Battle Royale matches quickly. For the Razer BlackWidow V4 X, its mechanical keys are as swish as you’d expect, but the benefits of having the 100% version with its six Macro buttons down the left-hand side are unneeded. Epic Games has explicitly banned the use of Macros in Fortnite for many years so these instantly become obsolete. Unless you play other games, you may be better off going for the 75% version, which will be cheaper and take up less desk space. The Razer Kraken V3 X Fortnite Edition headset rounds it out with comfy enough memory foam ear cushions for those long Fortnite sessions. Meanwhile, it delivers a clear microphone for those vital callouts during fights and easily picks up enemy footsteps across the island from a decent range. To round it out, Razer’s Razer Goliathus Extended Chroma does the job of gliding your mouse for those quick flicks. • Rare Golden Mushrooms have started to spawn in Fortnite – Dexerto

Rare Golden Mushrooms have started to spawn in Fortnite Epic GamesEpic Games have secretly added yet another super rare item in Fortnite Battle Royale and if you thought the Mythic Goldfish was hard to find, you might have your work cut out with this one. As many members of the community will know by now, patch notes are just as part a myth and legend as anything else you can find in the battle royale title, with Epic not releasing them for consecutive seasons. In the absence of official confirmation each time a patch rolls out, on one hand there is definitely frustration among players that they don’t know what’s been mixed up, but on the other hand there are certainly some easter eggs to be found from time to time as well. This time, a Golden Mushroom has been unveiled. [jwplayer dDOO1bSy]Where to find Gold Mushrooms in Fortnite Season 3 Following an update on July 2, the game developers have added one of the best shield items the game has ever seen, and you might be a little surprised when you first see it. After all, the vegetables are usually blue in-game. The new item gives players 100 shield after they have eaten it, and they can be stacked to a maximum of three in one inventory slot. Jump into Fortnite Battle Royale. – Drop into a location of either swamp land or forestry, where trees are located. – Check out underneath the trees and in the water, as their spawns are quite different to regular shrooms. – Take your time, keep looking around, and hopefully you will come up with the goods. – If you can’t find it there, head into Creative mode, select the ‘Golden Mushroom’ option and check it out. At least then, you will get to see it for sure! – If you’re wondering about your chances of finding one as well. leaker HYPEX reckons there’s a 0.0001% spawn chance, so don’t be shocked if you go a few games without stumbling upon the incredible new consumable. It also looks like they don’t spawn in food boxes, but instead can be found planted into the ground just like many others, near trees, and also in water. So, keep your eyes peeled. There’s a secret mushroom that spawns in some locations: – Spawn chance: 0.0001% – Gives you 100 Shield – Max stack is 3 – Doesn’t spawn in food boxes— HYPEX (@HYPEX) June 30, 2020 Finding the “rarest consumable in the game” as it is labelled in Creative mode should stand you in good stead for the late game in Fortnite, and definitely would be an ace to pull from your sleeve in gunfights after taking damage. With this guide, hopefully you will find one sooner rather than later, even if you have to settle for the Creative option.

  • Rare Fortnite Golden Peely skin might be unlockable after Season 2 – Dexerto

Rare Fortnite Golden Peely skin might be unlockable after Season 2 Epic GamesThe Fortnite Golden Peely skin from the Season 2 battle pass could be unlockable after June 11, after a message from Epic Support left the door open to the possibility. The Golden Peely is the pinnacle of the Season 2 Fortnite Battle Pass. The regular Peely skin unlocks at level 1, but to get the Golden variant, you’ll have to grind to level 300. Players have been playing for hours a day to try and get the skin before Season 2 ends. Despite their efforts though, some players playing the “slow and steady” card might also be able to get it after this season. According to an Epic Support message to ‘iFireMonkey,’ the Golden Peely could be unlockable after Season 2. However, it’s only because of its exclusion from a list, rather than an explicit message. “When a season ends, you can continue to progress the Outfit,” one customer support rep said in an email. “Carbide and Omega are the only exceptions to this rule, as they were locked to their Season.” Keep in mind: Epic Games Support doesn’t exactly communicate with the rest of the dev team and just because they say something doesn’t mean it’s correct. They’ve been wrong on multiple occasions. pic.twitter.com/w5c0RaGxcm — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) June 1, 2020 This has instilled some hope for players who are just shy of unlocking the rare outfit this season. While some players have invested hundreds of hours into getting the Golden Peely, for most players, it’s been out of reach. A bit of extra time might help players get the style. However, in a later message, Epic Support clarified that it could possibly not be the case, as they don’t have the information currently. “As Epic Game Player Support, we do not handle that information,” a customer support representative stated. “That is why I won’t be able to give you information about this concern.” On top of this, Epic Games Support has been unreliable in the past with predicting changes in Fortnite. The developers don’t communicate new releases with player support, so players won’t know until the new season drops on June 11. https://twitter.com/itzkrypt_/status/1267536731701686272 The door is ajar though. Fortnite’s Golden Peely could be locked to this season like the Carbide and Omega, or could have progression enabled in Season 3 and beyond. For players who spent days grinding for it, it’ll be a kick in the guts. However, if you haven’t had the chance to devote hundreds of hours into Season 2, you might just be in luck.

On February 7, Epic Games shared details on a brand-new event that would be kicking off to celebrate the Valentine’s Day season. While many were surely excited to see new challenges to complete, the biggest news of all came at the end of the announcement post when Epic Games announced new competitive series that will come with the event. Read More: Fortnite Season 7 Week 10 challenges and how to complete them – Expedition Outposts, Shooting gallery locations – The series will begin with “several placement matches” over the weekend of February 9 and 10. The top performers from these placement matches will then move into higher divisions based on their performance, in true ranked play fashion. There will be four separate divisions during the ‘Share the Love’ series and are as follows: Open Division → Prospect Division → Contender Division → Champion Division – The competitive series will culminate with the Champion Division FInals on February 23 and 24, with only the players who can earn a pin during a Champion Division session being eligible. Additionally, Epic Games Esports Designer Colin ‘skyzyn’ Fogle confirmed that the event will be both Solos and Duos. The announcement was certainly a long time coming as many players have been asking for Ranked Play in Fortnite for quite some time. With the sudden explosion of Apex Legends as the newest entrant in the battle royale scene, it seemed like only a matter of time before Epic announced something new to reign players back in. Time will surely tell whether the new competitive series is well-received by players, but it should at least calm the fears of those who thought Epic Games would fail to adapt in the presence of Apex Legends.

Fortnite: Rainbows have started appearing ahead of St. Patrick’s Day St. Patrick’s Day is on March 17 and it looks like Fortnite is starting the festivities early by adding rainbows into the game. Fortnite has shown a tendency to celebrate various holidays as they happen and the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day is no different. Dataminers have revealed a new LTM coming called ‘All Green’ which will be available in the solo, duos and squads playlists. The rainbows are probably being added in as a way to build hype for the event because Fortnite manages to always tell a story without having an actual storyline. • Rainbow Racer Fortnite skin slammed over “ridiculous” way to unlock it – Dexerto

Rainbow Racer Fortnite skin slammed over “ridiculous” way to unlock it Epic GamesThe requirements to unlock the Rainbow Racer Fortnite skin is getting slammed by players for having to refer a friend and ultimately hoping they play long enough to get the cosmetic. Epic Games launched a beta for their Refer-a-Friend program that came with a slew of in-game items to unlock. From the new Gridlock Loading Screen to Drift Shaft pickaxe, there’s a whole set to get via the program. But to get the ultimate prize there’s a caveat that takes players aren’t happy with seeing as it takes them out of the equation entirely. The Fortnite community has already devised a way to sidestep the requirement for how “ridiculous” the challenge is. Fortnite players roast Rainbow Racer challenge The last challenge to unlock the Rainbow Racer Fortnite skin requires both players and their ‘referee’ to reach level 60. One person said: “Gaining 60 levels on 2 accounts? I get wanting to get people to play but that’s kinda ridiculous.” “Every time Epic seems to try and make a website event, involving bringing back friends, it always seems to fall flat,” another person said. “This is just another example of how NOT to do Friend challenges.” Fortnite players are planning to simply create alt accounts to use in place of a referred friend and level the two accounts themselves. Meanwhile, people are planning to use the Creative mode to go AFK every day while gaining XP over time. How to unlock Rainbow Racer Fortnite skin Fortnite players will have to register for Epic’s Refer-a-Friend then complete all five challenges. • Quick and Easy Way to Get Down From Great Heights in Fortnite Without a Bouncer or Launch Pad – Dexerto

Quick and Easy Way to Get Down From Great Heights in Fortnite Without a Bouncer or Launch Pad VadactWhile holding high ground positioning in Fortnite can be advantageous at times, being stuck and not being able to drop down can prove to be a hindrance. Without a Launch Pad or Bouncer, getting down from great heights can be difficult without sustaining serious fall damage. One player, who goes by ‘Gunfly_’ on Twitter, has come up a neat trick that can help players drop from high up in Fortnite quickly and easily. Experimenting in the safe haven of the Playground LTM, the player has figured out that, while dropping, if one were to continuously build walls and edit in a window at the same time, their character’s fall would reset each time and thus not sustain fall damage when hitting the ground. Here is a clip demonstrating the method that has gone viral on social media. Fastest method getting down 🙂 Another banger?? pic.twitter.com/doCYggG8av — Ste (@Gunfly_) July 9, 2018 YouTuber ‘TmarTn’ confirmed that the trick works in his own video on Twitter. It is not yet clear whether this is an intended in-game mechanic or if it is a glitch, so there is the off chance that Epic might patch it now that it has come into the spotlight.

  • Pump Shotgun and Clinger Included in Upcoming Fortnite Weapon Balance Changes – Dexerto

Pump Shotgun and Clinger Included in Upcoming Fortnite Weapon Balance Changes Epic Games have revealed that they plan to implement new weapon balancing changes to Fortnite Battle Royale. Announcing the information in their State of Development announcement for August, Epic revealed they intend to make changes to both the Pump Shotgun and the Clinger. With the Pump Shotgun, Epic Games are planning to shorten the equip time, which is deemed unnecessary after the weapon switching delay that was added in April 2018. The equip time for the Pump Shotgun was originally introduced to combat Double Pumping, one of the original Fortnite playstyles, which saw players rapidly switching back and forth between Pump Shotguns as a way to quickly eliminate opponents. While Epic Games feels the Pump Shotgun is as effective as it could be, they feel the opposite is true about the Clinger. Due to its explosive power, and the fact that it can stick to any surface, Epic have decided to change the behavior of the Clinger, with a second thrown clinger now falling to the ground instead of sticking to a surface that already has a Clinger attached. Players are always coming up with new ways to best utilise weapons and items. Throughout the lifetime of the game, we’ve seen new playstyles constantly appear, from the Double Pump, to the use of SMGs, to the current Clinger and Sniper idea. Fortnite developers constantly analyse data from the game in order to balance weapons and playstyles. While there is no official date for these weapons updates, we can assume they will be coming in the near future.

  • Puddles appearing in Fortnite tease map flooding in Season 3 – Dexerto

Puddles appearing in Fortnite tease map flooding in Season 3 Epic GamesEpic Games look to have dropped yet another Fortnite Season 3 teaser as mysterious puddles have been spotted around the battle royale island. If there’s one thing that Fortnite Battle Royale players look around for the most, aside from leaks of course, it’s map changes. Things moving around and new features being added; it’s all part of the fun for members of the community. And a very interesting discovery has been made, too. It could be something huge, or nothing at all. Those who follow Fortnite data miners on social media, or are on the lookout for leaked information, will know that there has been talk of the current map completely flooding in the game’s next major update. That has yet to be confirmed by Epic, though. With that being said, these new potential hints will allow the minds of players wander. As seen in a post to Reddit by user natekit-, it looks like the early signs of a flood might have been teased already. Puddles are appearing at different points of interest, leaving fans wondering whether or not previous leaks were actually accurate. While this might just look like a shallow pool of water at first glance, some fans have noticed that the perimeter of the puddle does look a lot like the original Fortnite map, the one we all left behind when Season 10 came to a close. Could we see a return to the original island, after seeing this one sink? Who knows. What we do know, though, is that this Reddit user isn’t the only player to have found pools of water appear. In fact, there’s more than just this one – as seen in a tweet from FortBRNewsLeaks. ⚜️#News⚜️ 🇮🇹 In giro per la mappa stanno apparendo alcune pozzanghere! 🇬🇧 Around the map some puddles are appearing! #Fortnite pic.twitter.com/fL6tXTYlEf— Greasy – Fortnite Leaks&News (@FortBRNewsLeaks) May 5, 2020 In recent times, a number of content creators and streamers have moved away to other games – claiming Fortnite had become too stale. Although, one thing is for sure heading into Season 3, players have a lot of questions. Answers aren’t too far away, either, with the next major update expected to roll out on June 4. Even still, we can probably expect to see even more teasers between now and then.

  • PUBG Corp introduces new ‘Survival Supply’ reward system – How it works – Dexerto

PUBG Corp introduces new ‘Survival Supply’ reward system – How it works PUBG Corp have revealed more details on the all-new in-game reward system called the ‘Survival Supply System’ which was announced in the Update #21 patch notes. The Survival Supply System is part of the ongoing ‘FIX PUBG’ campaign that is attempting to improve the quality of life for PUBG players, with the developers saying it will “function much like the Event Pass.” The key differences are that there is no max level to the Survival Supply System and no optional premium pass available for purchase. There will also be both daily and weekly ‘Survival mission’ which will grant bonus XP and help players to level up more quickly. The missions will reset every day or week or there’s an option to manually refresh them “a fixed number of times if you find that you do not like your missions.” According to PUBG Corp, the best part of the Survival Supply System is that it is a “semi-permanent Reward System, meaning that for the foreseeable future, there is no deadline to when you have to earn rewards by as there was with the Event Pass.” The Survival Supply System could “become a season thing” and the developers “hope you enjoy these additional rewards just for spending time in PUBG.”

  • Psychology Expert Claims Fortnite is ‘Inappropriate For Children’ Because the Objective is ‘To Kill Other Humans’ – Dexerto

Psychology Expert Claims Fortnite is ‘Inappropriate For Children’ Because the Objective is ‘To Kill Other Humans’ An American Psychologist has claimed that parents should not allow their kids to play Fortnite at all, because the objective of the game is “to kill other humans” This of course is not a new nor substantiated view – despite Leonard Sax MD’s ‘sources’ – but is perhaps the most ridiculous version of it that we have seen. Many people, typically politicians, have asserted that video games are bad for kids because they make them more violent, less empathetic or ‘desensitize’ them, or just make them perform worse at school. And of course, it is undeniable that doing in excess is not good for one’s overall wellbeing, but psychologist Leonard Sax, whose expertise lies in young people’s mental health, thinks that Fortnite is particularly bad. According to Sax: “playing video games where the objective is to kill people – games such as – over time, desensitizes gamers to violence.” However such a claim has been refuted numerous times by various researchers (See Kugler, 2018; Szycik, 2017; Ferguson, 2015), and others have called games only a single factor in a large number pool of influences on children’s behavior (Anderson, 2017). Essentially, even if exposure to violent video games did increase risk to ‘desensitization’ (which much research says it does not), it would only be a single influence of many, including upbringing, social groups and exposure to other media. Fortnite Battle Royale pits 100 players against each other in a fight for survival Sax also goes on to say: “[Parents] must have the courage to say: . Kids need to learn face-to-face social skills. They need to be physically active, preferably outdoors. They need to get a good night’s sleep. A kid obsessed with is less likely to be doing any of these things.” No one would argue that any of these things are not beneficial and needed for children – in fact, they are beneficial and needed for adults too – but why exactly does Fortnite prevent any of this? Well, according to Sax, “no child is born wanting to be a great scientist, or composer, or teacher, or entrepreneur. They have to learn something of the scope of human possibility beyond what they see in a cartoon video game like Firstly, plenty children grow up with aspirations of being scientists, musicians, teachers or entrepreneurs (you could even say some of the most successful entrepreneurs are in fact Fortnite players – see ‘Ninja‘). Secondly, there is no evidence whatsoever that playing video games would blunt a child’s life ambitions, any more so than a child obsessed with basketball, music, dance, weightlifting or movies – or really any other activity which children or adults may participate in as a hobby. Sax does suggest some reasonable recommendations, such as allowing video games after homework and chores are complete. But apparently children should not be allowed to play ‘, .’ Well, Sax is correct with the latter two, given that both Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto are rated mature, and so only people over 17 should be playing them anyway – so nothing new there. With Fortnite however, there is no blood, no dismemberment, no foul language, no dark themes, or any other ‘violence’. Apparently, shooting non-existent bullets, boogie bombs, toilet plungers or easter-egg grenade launchers towards a character with a fish-bowl for a head with no blood whatsoever is now causing children to become desensitized to violence. An example of a character in Fortnite To conclude, Sax believes that it is a parents job to: “To educate desire: to instill a longing for something better, more lasting, than video games or Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner on Instagram.” Ignoring the rather odd and irrelevant mention of Kim Kardashian’s Instagram, there is no disagreeing with this statement. But don’t be fooled into thinking that children playing Fortnite for a few hours with friends after having done their homework, will in any way negatively affect their life ambitions as a human being. Oh, and it definitely will not make them more violent. They are shooting pumpkin shaped rockets at characters with fish bowls for heads.

  • Psalm proves the Fortnite BRUTE is overpowered with insane cross map kills – Dexerto

Psalm proves the Fortnite BRUTE is overpowered with insane cross map kills Epic GamesFortnite World Cup runner up Harrison ‘Psalm’ Chang has shown how overpowered the BRUTE mech is at range in Epic Games’ battle royale, with a number of crazy cross-map eliminations. Psalm finished in second place in the solos at July’s Fortnite World Cup, coming in with a very respectable 33 points after six matches. While this was 26 points shy of the tournament winner, Kyle ‘Bugha‘ Giersdorf, it was enough to secure the 24-year-old $1.8million. He has since experienced a surge in social media following, including on Twitch. On August 18 Chang was streaming the Fortnite Trios tournament, and demonstrated how ridiculous the BRUTEs are in the hands of one of the world’s best. There has been significant backlash over the BRUTE’s inclusion in Fortnite Season X. Epic Games are standing firm on the matter; explaining that the robots aid lesser skilled players in achieving victories. Psalm was playing in Fortnite’s Trio tournament – against other professional players – and demonstrated just how ridiculous the BRUTE is. The CLG star was situated at the top of a mountain, with a good view of the remaining zone. He then uses the BRUTE’s missiles to get multiple knocks, at a crazy distance of 125 meters. As he destroyed his opponents, Psalm yelled: “I’m the meta-master baby!” It is exactly the kind of clip that has caused the majority of the community to call for a nerf to the mechs. The BRUTE’s missiles are one of the major issues players have had with the robot, given the fact that it is able to fire ten simultaneously. This ability effectively negates player’s defensive builds, as the first few missiles tear through their defenses and the remaining annihilate the player’s health. While implemented to aid lesser-skilled players achieve victories, the BRUTEs have been criticized as too strong, and without sufficient counters. The debate has also raged regarding their inclusion in competitive modes, where less-skilled players are unlikely to be playing. While it doesn’t look like a change is on its way, stay tuned for the v10.10 patch notes, which are set to be released on August 20. If this is all it takes to “master” the meta, we expect to be seeing more players doing it soon.

  • Proximity Grenade Launcher coming soon to Fortnite – Dexerto

Proximity Grenade Launcher coming soon to Fortnite Epic GamesA brand new Proximity Grenade Launcher is officially coming to Fortnite, confirming previously leaked information from dataminers. The weapon, which is expected to be included in the next update on June 13, appeared in the game’s news feed on June 10, along with a teasing message that could give us an idea about what to expect from it – or not. “It’s not a horseshoe or a hand grenade, but close still counts” the messages states in-game, which doesn’t really give all that much away. Images of the new gun are not the only things to have potentially been revealed early, as the gun’s statistics have also been leaked by Shield Storm One. It certainly looks like it will pack a punch, too. If the leaked information is to be believed, the new Proximity Grenade Launcher will inflict between 67-70 damage, depending on rarity, per hit. That figure doesn’t change in terms of distance either, meaning that it could be a fairly useful weapon in any player’s arsenal. The date and time of its arrival is still yet to be confirmed, but at least now we know that it will be added to the game for sure. Whether or not that could spark the exit of the original grenade launcher, which does more damage (between 100-120) remains to be seen. This announcement doesn’t in any way confirm the leaked statistics, though. Even if the information is accurate, Epic may make tweaks before it’s finally available to use. We’ll have to wait and see just how it performs in-game when its added.

  • Pros and cons of having Glider Re-Deploy in Fortnite – Dexerto

Pros and cons of having Glider Re-Deploy in Fortnite Just as with every major change in Fortnite Battle Royale, the removal of the Glider Re-Deploy feature has sparked widespread debate among the player-base. Glider Re-Deploy was added to the default game modes as a test two weeks ago, and it allowed players to use their Glider anytime they were airborne at least 10 meters above ground. While it itself was a singular change, the domino effect of its implementation affected a lot of other aspects of Fortnite, causing players to change their play-styles dramatically. Now, with the v6.30 update in Fortnite, the feature has been disabled, causing a lot of players to try to revert back to how things were before the mechanic was added. This has led to a divide among the game’s vast community, with half greeting the news of the removal with approval, while others lamenting the fact and calling Glider Re-Deploy “one of the best things ever added to Fortnite.” It’s worth noting that while these pros and cons are essentially opinions, they are based on the points that players have brought frequently in their feedback. Pros Why Glider Re-Deploy should stay in Fortnite. Lowers importance of fall damage – Not only will the annoying incidents of accidental fall damage be reduced, players will no longer have the easy out of eliminating opponents during gunfights by simply destroying their builds. – Protection from third party players – Nothing is more frustrating than having to deal with third party players while in a gunfight with someone else. Glider Re-Deploy offers players the chance to quickly and safely escape when they are getting pinched by several teams. – Reduces endless running – Glider Re-Deploy gave players the ability to cover ground at a rapid pace and lowered the periods of endless running to escape from the storm, which sometimes turned Fortnite into a Running Simulator. – What happens to Balloons? – With Glider Re-Deploy gone, Balloons have now become essentially worthless, since no one will want to use them out of fear of the risk that they can fall to their death at any time. – Showing off Gliders more – Gliders constitute a considerable portion of the cosmetic items in Fortnite, and some can be quite pricey. Why not give players the chance to display their Glider in-game as much as possible. – Cons Why it was right for Glider Re-Deploy to be removed from Fortnite No more bailouts during gunfights – Players now no longer have the ability to run away from gunfights simply because they are losing. Nothing is more frustrating than having the upper hand in a fight only to see the enemy glide away to safety. – Less crazy aggressive pushes – Glider Re-Deploy allowed players to swoop in and catch opponents off guard, which got frustrating for the more average and casual players. Now the game will revert to players having the chance to see their enemies before they get attacked. – Movement items become more viable – With the feature gone, movement boosting items like Jump Pads and the Grappler have become viable again. This could also open the door for the fan-favorite Bouncers to make a return. – Could still return with adjustments – While Epic Games clearly felt that the Glider Re-Deploy was not good enough in its current state to remain in the default modes, they chose to leave it enabled in larger team modes and Playground. This leaves the chance that the devs will look to adjust it and implement it back later down the line, perhaps with a cooldown period or max usage count added. –

  • Professional Fortnite players voice their frustrations with the Dynamite update – Dexerto

Professional Fortnite players voice their frustrations with the Dynamite update Fortnite’s newest item, Dynamite, was announced on November 19 and is expected to be released on November 20, but some players are already unhappy about it. The new item, which comes with the description: “Light the fuse and wait for the boom!” is expected to go live as part of the v6.30 Content Update but some professionals and streamers think that Epic Games should be focusing on fixing existing issues instead. TSM’s Daequan Loco took to Twitter after the announcement of the Dynamite, saying: “The community been throwing suggestions at Fortnite for as long as I can remember cause we could see the obvious route it was on to an unfun experience. Well here we are, still throwing suggestions & getting a dynamite stick nobody asked for while there’s 99 problems to tend to.” FaZe Clan’s Nate Hill clearly agreed with the TSM man, stating: “Got 99 problems, but not having dynamite ain’t one. “Please make the game work properly. We keep avoiding real issues and adding unnecessary items. I’d rather play this game with 3 guns and have it actually work than 1 million gimmicks. Need a day off stream to recover.” Got 99 problems, but not having dynamite ain’t one. Please make the game work properly. We keep avoiding real issues and adding unnecessary items. Need a day off stream to recover  https://t.co/KcjYHZd9xn — Nate Hill (@NateHillTV) November 19, 2018 Both players are well respected within the professional Fortnite community and it would appear that their sentiments are mirrored by many competitive fans, but some of their colleagues are feeling more optimistic. Daequan’s teammate, Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani suggested that the Dynamite could be a step in the right direction for explosive items in Fortnite and asked his followers not to dismiss it before giving it a try. Dynamite could easily be explosives done well in Fortnite. Don’t just write it off completely just because we didn’t ask for it or don’t like the current state of explosives. This could be better. — Myth (@TSM_Myth) November 19, 2018 I think with millions of active players it would be cool if we got state of development blogs like we used to have back in the day. I feel in the dark about the reasoning behind changes to the game, would be nice for a little bit of light. — Myth (@TSM_Myth) November 20, 2018 He also made it clear that we would like to see regular ‘State of Development’ blogs from Epic Games as they appear to have become more sparse in recent months. With so many top players beginning to feel alienated, it will be interesting to see what Epic do to try to bring them back into the fold. Daequan recently suggested a public test server that could be used to try out new ideas, like the controversial Mounted Turret, before adding them to the live version of the game.

According to RazZzero0o’s post on TwitLonger, the Swedish Fortnite star had gone to bed after the conclusion of the Skirmish with plans to explore San Jose, California the next day, but passed away overnight. “When I woke up next day and tried to move his arm because it was on my side of the bed I noticed that he was already gone,” explained Beckmann. “I only got to know him for such a short amount of time and he already secured himself a big place in my heart. I will never forget about you Bogdan.” RazZzero0o, a player for G2 Esports, also explains that he did not originally report the news out of respect for Bogdan’s family and friends, stating that they deserved to hear it in person and not over the internet. Bogdan was clearly a popular figure in the European Fortnite community. Fellow Swede, Rasmus ‘Rasmusenn’ Wiklundh, described him as one of the most hard-working players in the scene with a big heart. “You always wished me luck before every tournament I played,” said the Method player on Twitter. “Mad respect for you, you will always have a gigantic place in my heart, all my thoughts and prayers goes to his family and friends.” Rest in peace Bogdan ️ Read: https://t.co/VXXsFahJka — Method Rasmusenn (@Rasmusenn) November 4, 2018 The sad news comes just one week after Bogdan Akh and RazZzero0o secured an 18th place finish and $10,000 at the TwitchCon tournament in San Jose, California. According to RazZzero0o, he and Bogdan went through a great deal of stress ahead of the Fall Skirmish finals, practicing every day for over two months and travelling to the US for the first time, but qualifying for the final of the event made it “literally the best trip ever.” A change.org petition has been started by Kevin Sundqvist in an attempt to get a ‘Back To Lobby’ emote added to Fortnite. According to the petition, this was a phrase that Bogdan used regularly after eliminating an opponent in-game. Our thoughts are with Bogdan’s friends and family at this difficult time. We ended up as 2nd best eu Team Not in Top 10 sadly. Missing 1 kill every single game to get points and died twice Inside of Top 10 🙁 Not gonna blame it on settings. • Pro players argue over Fortnite vs CSGO vs Valorant: Which is more skillful? – Dexerto

Pro players argue over Fortnite vs CSGO vs Valorant: Which is more skillful? Riot Games, Epic GamesPossibly the best bait of 2020, a tweet from TSM Fortnite star Anthony ‘ZexRow’ Colandro has enraged Valorant and CSGO players alike. It’s no secret that professional players across all game genres love a bit of trash talk. In fact, this year at the Dexerto Awards we even had an award for the Trash Talker of the Year! This performance from pro Fornite player ZexRow is one that we’d definitely have included in our lists had he tweeted a few weeks earlier. A single tweet from the TSM star has managed to send Valorant and CSGO fans and players into a ravenous circle of flaming and keyboard aggression. What did he say that was so controversial though? Well, the answer is pretty simple, he compared the skill needed in the three games and Fortnite came out on top, in his opinion. ZexRow slams CSGO and Valorant In a tweet from December 19, the 20-year-old decided that attacking the skills required to play both CSGO and Valorant would be the best way to end 2020 with a bang. Stating that “Fortnite requires more aim than Valorant and CS,” the tweet lit the flames heralding the Valorant and CSGO armies to descend. With over 480 comments and 7.5k likes, it’s safe to say that ZexRow succeeded in stirring the pot. fortnite requires more aim than valorant and cs idk how ppl can argue that — ZexRow (@ZexRow) December 21, 2020 To add fuel to the already scorching bonfire, he then went on to state in a response tweet that there’s “no way CS players have this big of egos to think it isn’t 80% crosshair placement.” no way cs players have this big of egos to think it isn’t 80% crosshair placement — ZexRow (@TSM_ZexRow) December 22, 2020 Valorant and CSGO pros react Not only has the Tweet received a whole host of angry responses from casual Valorant and CSGO players, but the professional community has decided to weigh in on ZexRow’s spicy comment. A simple gif response from 100 Thieves Valorant legend nitr0, part of the squad that dominated First Strike: NA said exactly what fans were thinking. A picture, after all, says a thousand words. Going one step further, professional CS:GO player Ethan ‘Ethan’ Arnold of Evil Genius quote tweeted ZexRow’s original statement and replied that the incident “proves that if you say something stupid enough, you’ll get a bunch of Twitter interactions.” Proves if you say something stupid enough, you’ll get a bunch of Twitter interactions 🙃 https://t.co/VIpn7xUtNq — NRG Ethan (@ethanarnold) December 22, 2020 The Fornite prodigy has continued to troll on his Twitter, sharing videos arguing his case as well as stating that he “went on CS and it feels like I’m ice skating.” Pro player drama can always be fun, but it’s an especially cheeky way to round off a particularly brutal 2020 as it’s got fans so worked up, on both sides.

  • Pro players are not happy with the new explosive damage in Fortnite – ft Myth, Chap, CouRage, and more – Dexerto

Pro players are not happy with the new explosive damage in Fortnite – ft Myth, Chap, CouRage, and more Once again, a major change made to Fortnite Battle Royale has drawn the ire of many of the game’s top competitive players and content creators. The new explosive damage system, introduced in the v6.21 patch on November 1, allows for 25% of all explosive damage to penetrate through structures and the environment. This means that players who are behind structures are susceptible to taking health damage when fired upon by an explosive item or weapon, regardless of whether the structure was built by the player or spawned naturally. The change has received largely negative feedback from many in the community, including some of the biggest and well-known competitive players, streamers, and YouTubers. These big Fortnite influencers have since taken to social media to express their dismay at this recent update, with many calling it non-competitive and unbalanced. The feedback has been so wholly negative, that Epic Games were compelled to further clarify their intentions in a post they put up on Reddit hours after the update went live. Ironically, they revealed in the post that the whole motivational factor for the implementation of this change was because the developers felt that there was an unbalance between aggressive and passive play-styles. • Pro player accuses Tfue of “witch hunt” after Fortnite tournament drama – Dexerto

Pro player accuses Tfue of “witch hunt” after Fortnite tournament drama A professional Fortnite player has accused popular streamer and pro player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney of forming a witch hunt against him and his teammates following a dramatic stream on November 24. Tfue and his squad have faced some hardships in recent weeks, with stream snipers and the like running rampant and affecting their games. This is nothing new to the Fortnite star but is definitely detrimental when trying to qualify for a tournament. However, being contested at their Steamy Stacks drop has inspired Tfue to call out his opponents – but they’ve now hit back and accused him of starting a witch hunt against them. Fortnite player BlastaMastaa took to Reddit late on Sunday, November 24 following the Fortnite Championship Series squads tournament in which he and his teammates – Dogo, Mojo, and Luminosity Gaming’s Neferux. Tfue’s call to action to his viewers, telling them to tweet LG owner Steve Maida and prompt him to drop Neferux from the organization, made Blasta question how a player can “get away with this on such a big platform.” He explains, “My squad has been going Steamy for four weeks now. We’re already qualified on consistency and have to use this tournament basically as practice. We want to know exactly how well we play the drop going into heats and where we can improve. There isn’t an open spot for every team on the map, being contested/contesting is part of the game.” It’s clear to see why both parties might be annoyed: to Tfue, Cloakzy, and co., it seems like this squad is purposely trying to ruin their tournament and make it harder for them. On the other hand, the Reddit post makes several good points. It’s not possible for every team to land at a different spot on the map as it simply isn’t big enough, so other teams landing on your drop is as good as inevitable. In the past, many top players have expressed their annoyance at opposition landing at the same spot as them: one notable example was Team SoloMid’s ZexRow, who took aim at another player because of his contesting of ZexRow’s spot. How this works out down the line remains to be seen. Whether the young squad bows to pressure and stops dropping at Steamy Stacks is a question for next week. In the meantime, it seems we’re more likely to see something happen within Tfue’s squad, which appears to be struggling to play together if that night’s arguments are anything to go by.

Pro Fortnite Players Show What Playground Mode Is All About With Incredible Build Fights Playground Mode might have been disabled just hours after its introduction to Fortnite Battle Royale but Thiefs still managed to get some awesome clips of professional building fights before that happened. The Playground Mode was one of the most exciting additions to Fortnite in recent memory but it was disabled just hours after being released due to some issues that Epic Games needed to address. The idea behind Playground Mode is that it will allow players to practice on their own, or as a squad, and hone their Fortnite skills with significantly better resources, weapons, friendly fire, and unlimited respawns. While not a private match, or fully customizable mode, this is the closest that Fortnite players have had to a perfect training environment so far, and professional players were particularly excited to get their hands on it. Read More: Epic Games Updates Fans on When Playground Mode Will Return to Fortnite But It’s Not Good News – The pros already have incredible abilities but Playground Mode offers the opportunity to put these on display and sharpen them. It’s no secret collecting materials and loot can be one of the more tedious aspects of playing Fortnite Battle Royale, but what if you could get all the benefits without putting in any of the groundwork? Well, some of the more popular players are now using a new system to collect everything that they need while they practice their one-on-one matches in the popular Playground mode: Loot Goblins. Yes, you read that correctly, Loot Goblins. To put it simply, Loot Goblins are moderators or long-time viewers of top Fortnite streamers that join their lobbies to do nothing other than collect loot for the pros. One Reddit user, urnamesprobbetter, made a post about the strange new occurrence, saying: “Has anybody else seen pros have two people loot for them while they 1 vs 1 in playground mode? It makes sense but I just saw it for the first time and it’s fucking hilarious watching them wander around like little minions.” Another user responded to say that, as a moderator, they can either “watch the streamer farming for 30 minutes” or “help a bit from time to time” and “actually watch him build-fighting without the stupid ‘anyone got shields?’ shit.” Personally, we think this is a stroke of genius from the professional players and we can’t wait to see a ‘Loot Goblin’ in action!

  • Pro Fortnite players aren’t happy about the latest update in Fortnite ahead of $2.6 million event at TwitchCon [UPDATED] – Dexerto

Pro Fortnite players aren’t happy about the latest update in Fortnite ahead of $2.6 million event at TwitchCon [UPDATED] UPDATE (October 25, 2018, 6pm ET) In response to feedback from the competitive Fortnite community, Epic Games has announced that many features that players were unhappy over from the V6.20 update have been disabled for TwitchCon’s Fall Skirmish event this weekend. In an email sent out to TwitchCon competitors, Epic stated that Cube Monsters, Port-A-Fortress, Port-A-Fort, and Shockwave Grenades will all be disabled. They have also made adjustments to shadow post processing to give players better visibility in game. Fortnitemares 2018 is upon us and despite bringing a host of changes to shake up the Fortnite meta, many pro players are expressing their displeasure with the update. Epic Games released the V6.20 update on October 24, and while it signaled the start of the anticipated Fortnitemares event, the widespread changes have upset a large number of pro players. The changes alone may not have been enough to provoke much outrage, but with the $1.86 million TwitchCon Fall Skirmish finale and $750K Stream-vitational tournament both coming up in just a few days, players are frustrated at having such large-scale changes being put in place. Two of Team Liquid’s most prominent players expressed their frustrations this week, with Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo saying he wouldn’t stream until after TwitchCon since he needs “to relearn the game,” while Jake ‘Poach’ Brumleve went on an extended rant on his stream. “A whole new game for $1.5 million,” POACH says to his viewers. “Epic is taking RNG to the whole next level. They’re like ‘Alright boys, you guys have been playing customs and all these Skirmishes for weeks. For the last tournament of the Fall Skirmish, fuck it. Completely different game. Good luck.’” Much of the outrage from the community is centered around the addition of the Cube Monsters, as the players feel it has completely changed how they must play the game. Read More: Leaked skins and cosmetics found in Fortnite V6.20 files – Names and Rarities – Zombie Jonesey and more as Halloween theme continues! – Pro player ‘DareDixon’ summed it up perfectly when he admitted that while the features are “dope on paper,” they shouldn’t have been added to the main playlist. I know it’s a “limited time event” so it’s only going to be here for this week or 2, but still it shouldn’t be something we’re forced to play untill it’s gone. But I’d play it for fun and challenges if it had it’s own playlist :joyful: — Dixon :sunflower: (@DareDixon) October 24, 2018 Counter Logic Gaming’s Sam ‘WishYaLuckk’ Salcedo suggested that Epic Games take a page out of Treyarch’s book and keep zombies confined to specific locations similar to how the undead enemies are handled in Blackout, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode. Robert ‘WizKay’ Simone gave his own two cents on the issue, saying that the custom test games he’s seen have been “a complete and utter shit show.” Read More: How to watch TwitchCon’s Fortnite Fall Skirmish $2.6 million event – schedule, format, rules, and more – Epic Games has so far been silent on the issue, which could mean there are no plans to reverse the changes and thus the pros will need to practice up to be ready for the brand-new meta at TwitchCon this weekend. This isn’t the only thing that the pros have been upset about, either, as many also expressed their frustration over being forced to use certain peripherals and game settings at the event.

  • Pro Fortnite players aren’t enjoying Epic’s decision to force peripherals and settings at TwitchCon’s Skirmish event – Dexerto

Pro Fortnite players aren’t enjoying Epic’s decision to force peripherals and settings at TwitchCon’s Skirmish event Ever since Epic Games announced the full rules for TwitchCon’s Fall Skirmish finale, pro players have taken to Twitter blasting the decision. Much like Fortnite’s Summer Skirmish finale at PAX West, all participants at TwitchCon’s Fall Skirmish event have to play on the max graphics settings and with a specific set of peripherals. Pro players weren’t happy about the rule for PAX West and things aren’t any different this time around for TwitchCon. The conversation got started when esports consultant Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau tweeted a picture of the rules, stating “This is not competitive. It’s amateur dressed up as esports.” Epic Games is hosting a close to $2 Million Fortnite esports tournament at TwitchCon and is forcing all players on both PC and console to use on-site peripherals (mice/keyboard/controllers) AND max video settings. This is not competitive. It’s amateur dressed up as esports. pic.twitter.com/gat5kWNowV — Rod Breslau (@Slasher) October 11, 2018 Since then, the outrage hasn’t stopped with players at all levels speaking out against the decision. Team Liquid’s Jake ‘POACH’ Brumleve expressed his worry about even being able to stream with the high settings, saying that he could start using the specific keyboard and mouse that’s allowed but would be “torturing [himself] with shadows yet.” Tomorrows stream will entail me using 1920×1080, a wired G-Pro mouse and keyboard and possibly some high settings, no way I’m torturing myself with shadows yet. Don’t even know if I can manage streaming on these settings. I’M GOING TO HAVE A BLAST DON’T MIND THE RAGING. — POACH (@LiquidPoach) October 20, 2018 POACH’s statement was one of the most enlightening as it demonstrated that many players like himself might not even be able to practice on the higher settings due to limitations of their home setups. He wasn’t the only one to express his reservations about practicing with the higher video settings, as many other players shared similar stories of their own. Only way for me to practice for TwitchCon is wearing sunglasses while playing. There is no way my computer can handle max settings on 1920. :upset: — Brady (@StrugsFN) October 11, 2018 I just tried to run epic settings in Fortnite and my computer sounded like I was shaking up a can of screws and bolts — OpTic Marz (@MarkyWap) October 16, 2018 Forced equipment is disappointing. You can’t ask kids who’s dream to make it pro one day to change their gear nor an experienced pro to do the same. It’s becomes not about the game anymore, it’s how good someone can be using Logitech. Encourage to reconsider for the dreamers — Steve Arhancet (@LiQuiD112) October 11, 2018 Even players who do have the necessary equipment required to run the game at the highest of settings don’t do so since it makes it harder to see enemy players, something that Cloud9’s Jacob ‘Hysteria’ Reiser outlined in a Tweet of his own. yeah the big issue is the in game settings being forced to max. I’d say 99% of pro players/streamers all play with shadows and post processing shit off. It makes it legit hard to see and therefore lowers the level of play — C9 Hysteria (@JacobHysteria) October 22, 2018 Despite the widespread backlash from the pro community, Epic Games has yet to comment on the issue, sticking to their guns on the TwitchCon ruleset. With the Fortnite World Cup Qualifiers slated to start sometime in 2019, players will no doubt have their eyes peeled when it comes to the ruleset for the major event.

  • Pro Fortnite player setups: Best headsets, monitors, keyboards and more – Dexerto

Pro Fortnite player setups: Best headsets, monitors, keyboards and more L: Ninja R: FinalmousePopular Fortnite settings aggregate ‘FortSettings’ surveyed more than 120 of the game’s pros, streamers, and entertainers, revealing their most popular picks for equipment like headsets, monitors, keyboards, and mice. For players looking to improve their skills on PC, it might help to use professional gaming gear. While that won’t necessarily make them any better at the game, it is arguably a step in the right direction. Those out there using a $5 keyboard and mouse combo could be severely lacking, and likely don’t realize how much having better peripherals can enhance their gaming experience. For example, using a proper headset will open up directional sound, which will help differentiate where enemy footsteps are coming from far better than regular speakers or a TV ever could. Anyone out there in the market for some new gear could benefit by learning what the best of the best use, so this survey could be of good use. What mice and keyboards are the pros using? Surprisingly, the Finalmouse Air58 Ninja is the most popular mouse among pros, despite its extremely limited availability. This mouse prides itself on being incredibly light, making it easy to whip around while having minimal drag. The second-place option is wireless, which would have been head-scratching years earlier, but in 2020, cordless options are actually a decent choice. Being snag-free is a nice feeling, and could be a major reason many pros are giving up the cord. Keyboards are always an important item to consider, and much of users’ choice comes down to personal preference. Many players would agree that a mechanical keyboard would be most beneficial to use, since its input will be speedier than other options. The most popular choice is the SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL at 19%, with the Logitech G Pro coming in second with 13%. What about headsets and monitors? In comparison, players seem largely split as to what headset is best, as the ASTRO Gaming A40s come out on top – but that’s tied in first, with the HyperX Cloud IIs at just 12% of the vote. The most important advice to take away from this is that any headset is better than merely using regular speakers. According to the survey, 72% of Fortnite pros are using a 240hz monitor, which opens up the smoothest framerate available and gives you an edge over other players. It appears that having a high refresh rate and low input delay matters the most to top gamers. While a 4K visual is nice on the eyes, it won’t matter much with a competitive title like Fortnite. Additionally, the mousepad used most is the SteelSeries QcK – but this would probably end up being the lowest priority for those in the market for new accessories. With the knowledge of what the pros prefer, perhaps now players know what it’ll take to compete at the highest level.

  • Pro Fortnite player discusses ways to improve Glider Re-deploy system – Dexerto

Pro Fortnite player discusses ways to improve Glider Re-deploy system While Epic Games has already made changes to the Glider Re-deploy system in Fortnite, some pro players still aren’t satisfied with how the mechanic functions in-game. The system was first introduced with the V6.20 update and allows players to use their gliders when jumping from at least three stories high. Despite the fact that Epic says they have seen positive results with the new mechanic, pro players are continuously coming up with ways that the system can be changed. The newest suggestion comes from Counter Logic Gaming pro Nick ‘Marksman’ Overton, who posted four different “compromises” that can be implemented into the game. Read More: Dr DisRespect’s Code Red tournament is coming to Fortnite ft. Ninja, Nickmercs, and DrLupo – Before jumping into the list, Marksman acknowledges that the game “can’t be balanced solely around competitive,” which is why he has devised these compromises that could help bridge the gap between casual and competitive. 1) Limited amount of Redeploys, maybe 1-3 per match. Try to lessen the running and landing on in pubs while also still having the advantage of alleviating circle RNG in competitive. 2) Redeploy only works outside safe zone. This would result in more running and people landing on you than the first option, but lessen it overall and again still keeps the benefit of redeploy for rotations. 3) Redeploy is removed, but it does work off of balloons. This means you can gain the advantage of more redeploys while using balloons, but you have to give up a slot for it. Balloons are also a bit riskier to redeploy from since you float up slowly. 4) Reward redeploys for kills. You start a match with 1 redeploy, but you can gain additional redeploys for every 2 kills you get. Those numbers could be tinkered with, but it rewards aggression and still gives 1 redeploy to help with the first circle RNG. Interestingly enough, only in one of his options does Marksman suggest removing the Re-deploy system altogether, which is in stark contrast to much of the community that wants to simply take it out completely. Moreover, Marksman’s fourth option actually works to try and solve another issue that many have with competitive Fortnite, namely that “people just hide in boxes” in the competitive scene. Making it so that players would need to pick up multiple kills in order to gain extra Re-deploys would encourage players to be far more aggressive since the mechanic is crucial to rotations and repositioning during fights right now. Whether or not Epic takes Marksman up on his ideas is anyone’s guess, but given that they’ve confirmed they are actively monitoring constructive feedback, it’s possible that we might see this sort of change come to Fortnite in the near future.

  • Pro Fortnite player Clix announces his departure from NRG – Dexerto

Pro Fortnite player Clix announces his departure from NRG Twitter: @ClixProfessional Fortnite player and content creator Cody “Clix” Conrod has announced that after more than two years he is leaving NRG Esports. Cody “Clix” Conrod has made a name for himself among the professional Fortnite scene during his time with NRG, even finding huge success on content creation platforms like YouTube and Twitch. Clix signed on with NRG at 16 years old and has performed well in Fortnite during his time there, such as earning first with fellow Fortnite pro Dukez at the C3S4: Elite Cup Finals – Week 1 in 2022. Unfortunately, it seems Clix’s time with NRG has come to an end following an announcement on his Twitter. Fortnite Pro Clix announces he’s leaving NRG On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, Clix announced his departure from the esports organization: “No longer with @NRGgg, Thank you for the best 2 years of my life. Wouldn’t of been anywhere I am without you guys. Excited for what the future holds me.” NRG’s official Twitter account acknowledged the post with a simple reply with two purple hearts, though the company has not made its own official post about Clix’s departure at the time of writing. Ahead of the announcement, fans speculated whether or not both Clix and fellow NRG Fortnite Pro AussieAntics would be leaving the org, as both had removed ties with NRG from their Twitter bios days prior. While it remains to be seen whether or not AussieAntics is leaving NRG alongside Clix, it would make him the only remaining NRG Fortnite player on the roster. It seems NRG may be trying to step away from competitive Fortnite entirely when comparing its active roster for players in games like Valorant, Apex Legends, and Rocket League. For now, only time will tell what Clix has in store for his future as a pro Fortnite player, as he’s yet to go into detail on the reason behind his departure from NRG.

  • Pro claims Fortnite’s current state makes it “harder to keep the drive” – Dexerto

Pro claims Fortnite’s current state makes it “harder to keep the drive” Fortnite has come under fire from its competitive community for an increasing number of frustrating balance decisions, new mechanics and buggy gameplay. Svennoss, a professional player for NRG Esports, claims the amount of bugs in the current state of Fortnite is making it harder to play at a competitive level. He pointed to the randomness of shotgun fire, as well as a glitch that messes with the ADS of the weapon. The new planes are a source of complaints too, with Svennoss saying the plane can glitch into an uncontrollable state. The amount of bugs today is so unreal holy shit.. Multiple places with invis loot, shotguns staying zoomed in without holding buttons, Sticky key bugs after editing, Planes uncontrolable even tho ur steering the wheel, shotguns that still is a 50/50 if it fires or not & wallshots— Svennoss (@Svenosss) December 16, 2018 The bugs have taken a frustrating toll on Svennoss’ desire to grind the game for the amount of time required to be a Fortnite pro. “[It’s} getting harder and harder to even keep the drive to play [Fortnite] for so many hours a day when you die to multiple [glitches] a day,” said the pro. Really getting harder & harder to even keep the drive to play it for so many hours a day when u die to multiple of these a day. =/ — Svennoss (@Svenosss) December 16, 2018 Svennoss is not the only one unhappy with the amount of bugs and glitches. They are so numerous and prevalent in Fortnite Season 7, Dexerto had to put a Fortnite Glitch guide together to keep track of them all! The Stormwing plane had more problems than just bugs, it was also incredibly unbalanced at launch. Epic increased the amount of damage taken in a crash from 0 to 25, but now another change is on the way for the Stormwing.

  • Powerful new Fortnite exploit lets you build through walls – Dexerto

Powerful new Fortnite exploit lets you build through walls Epic GamesAn extremely powerful new Fortnite exploit is allowing players to build through their own solid walls and create bigger structures without needing a direct line of sight. Before Season 3 of Fortnite comes to a close, a powerful exploit has been uncovered that allows players to build through walls. Creating bigger structures in the blink of an eye has always been useful in the popular battle royale. But now you can do it without exposing your character to incoming fire. Through some simple camera manipulation, you can use Fortnite’s third-person perspective to your advantage. Without taking your current build down or editing a surface to see through, you can still create a bigger structure. Such a dramatic change to the core gameplay loop is likely to have a huge ripple effect within the competitive scene. Here’s how Fortnite players are building through walls in the latest update. The first thing that you’ll need to do is build up a simple structure around you. Once you’re inside a box, ensure that the floor block is a pyramid. If you edit the top left section of this pyramid and then walk towards the upper right corner, your camera will squish in an interesting way. Your character will disappear off to the side while the building forces the camera to squeeze into a tight corner. With this unique perspective, you can surprisingly build through the wall in front of you. It takes just a split second to setup and could see you building out massive structures without risking your life. You can build anything from a floor to a wall and even ramps, according to Reddit user ‘OfficialHR’ who shared the exploit on August 23. This exploit can be used an endless number of times without any hindrance. So long as you get into a pattern of timing the camera trick just right, you’ll technically be able to build without ever exposing yourself again. This could see a significant change to the way in which competitive Fortnite plays out at the highest level. The world’s best players might prioritize building materials more than ever due to the new exploit. Even opting for a more patient playstyle towards the endgame as well. Epic Games is yet to address the latest instance of this exploit. However, it’s not the first time a similar problem has risen to the surface. A near-identical camera squishing exploit was spotted back in February. While that version was soon patched out, there’s no telling how long this exploit might be around for. Keep your eyes peeled for enemies building within their current structures. It could soon be a popular tactic in Season 4 with the next major update right around the corner.

  • Powerful Fortnite Drum Shotgun is coming soon – Dexerto

Powerful Fortnite Drum Shotgun is coming soon Graphics: Epic GamesEpic Games have finally teased the long-awaited arrival of the Drum Shotgun in Fortnite Battle Royale, confirming previously leaked information from data miners. The developers of the popular battle royale game might be on a long-awaited summer break, hence the arrival of the 14 Days of Summer Fortnite event, but that hasn’t stopped them from revealing a potentially very exciting addition to the game’s weapon list. The Drum Shotgun, which was first uncovered in the game files added with the v9.30 content update, has officially been added to the in-game news feed as of July 1. It is expected to be added to Fortnite with the game’s upcoming weekly update on July 4 and should come in three different rarities, Common, Uncommon, and Rare – if information included in the initial leak turns out to be correct. The gun’s statistics have also been leaked by data miners ahead of its release, with the Drum Shotgun set to dish out between 4-5 damage per second with a fire rate of 4 per second, as well as a reload speed between 4.3 and 4.7 seconds depending on rarity. Some early footage of the weapon can be seen below, posted to Twitter by KrispyLeaks on June 18. [LEAK] Gameplay of the new Drum Shotgun! (Note: sounds and animations not accurate) pic.twitter.com/D9OADi9XeD — KrispyLeaks – Fortnite Leaks/News (@KrispyLeaks) June 18, 2019 Whether or not those details, provided by popular Fortnite leaker Lucas7yoshi, turn out to be accurate or not remains to be seen. After all, some of the details might have been tweaked since it was first added to the data files. A number of other weapons have been unvaulted on a daily basis during the 14 Days of Summer event, including the Crossbow, Compact SMG, and others, some of which fans will have been excited to play with again. However, there will be an overwhelming number of players wanting to get their hands on this new shotgun when it eventually lands on the game. If it turns out to be anything like the Drum Gun, but in shotgun form, there’s no doubt that this could be a game changer.

  • Potentially game breaking sniper exploit discovered in Fortnite – Dexerto

Potentially game breaking sniper exploit discovered in Fortnite Fortnite players have started noticing a major glitch in the game, allowing snipers to be shot through the cracks in brick builds – something which could be seriously exploited. When building a brick wall, by editing a ‘window’ slot in the center square, it glitches allowing the cracks in the brick to be shot through. As can be seen in the video below, the wall gives ample cover while also allowing the player within it to shoot through the small gap between bricks. It’s not a perfect exploit however, as it also makes the wall penetrable from the outside, meaning the wall is in fact less effective cover once a window is built in it. TSM player Daequan discovered this live on stream, which is perhaps how this exploit has gained attention. The glitch should get patched quickly with Epic Games usually on top of these kind of exploits and always monitoring social channels, but it may not be fixed until the next big update. More: How to complete the “Search between a covered bridge, waterfall, and the 9th green” Fortnite challenge for Week 10 of Season 5 – It is most effective with snipers especially, as demonstrated by Daequan, and so players with an accurate shot hiding behind a brick wall could be a real annoyance until fixed. For now, though, just make sure you keep a keen eye on any brick walls with windows edited in, as there could be someone lurking behind.

  • Possible new Fortnite building material leaked for Season 2 – Dexerto

Possible new Fortnite building material leaked for Season 2 Epic GamesAs we approach Fortnite Chapter 2’s second season, players are theorizing about what the future holds, and some are suggesting Epic could introduce a new building material. Since the dawn of Fortnite, players have been using three different types of building materials – wood, brick, and metal. There hasn’t ever been much of a reason for the developers to add any additional options, but that hasn’t stopped fans from thinking it’s happening. On February 5, Fortnite leaker Lucas7yoshi noted that something strange was going on behind the scenes in the files. While he didn’t have a ton of information, he did reveal a selection of gold objects that could end up hinting towards something bigger, perhaps even a new material entirely. Heres all the gold props i could find: pic.twitter.com/dSMRGx0kcN — Lucas7yoshi – FESTIVAL ARC??? (@Lucas7yoshi) February 5, 2020 Fortnite does have a “Solid Gold” LTM that makes all of the guns Legendary, but it has nothing to do with objects on the map, so it seems like that can be ruled out as a possibility. That has led many player to believe Epic plans on introducing a brand-new gold building material into the mix in Season 2. The start of a season always brings a variety of changes, so that would be the best time to introduce anything new. By doing so at this time, it would also give players some more time to adjust to a new meta before the next season of the Fortnite Champion Series begins. Introducing a fourth building material doesn’t seem like it’d be too groundbreaking of a change, but there would need to be some sort of grace period to let players get the hang of things. If this does end up happening, that would likely mean gold would become the most durable material in the game. If gold can only be farmed from specific objects like the ones we saw in Lucas7yoshi’s tweet, then it would quickly become a rare and valuable commodity. Season 1 ends on February 20 and we can likely expect the second season to begin around the same time, so if this change is coming, it’ll be arriving very soon.

  • Portal/Time Warp Causes Damage in Fortnite’s Retail Row and Moves on to Greasy Grove – Dexerto

Portal/Time Warp Causes Damage in Fortnite’s Retail Row and Moves on to Greasy Grove FireMonkey / Fortnite InsiderThe time warp/portal has caused some destruction in the Retail Row location in Fortnite: Battle Royale. By the look of things, the large ‘NOMS’ sign in front of the supermarket located in the retail half of the town has been completely wiped out. The portal first appeared in Retail Row in July 3rd, and it was expected that it would end up causing some sort of damage. All of the previous ones that had appeared throughout the Fortnite map (the Motel, Lonely Lodge, and Tomato Town) had all destroyed one of the major landmarks located in those points of interest. Here is footage captured by ‘FireMonkey’ showing how the NOMS sign disappeared as a result of the large flash of light from the portal. Furthermore, a new warp has appeared in Greasy Grove, in front of the large Durrr Burger sign. This was of course predicted by a Fortnite leaks outlet known as ‘Fortnite Leakage,’ showing the burger restaurant’s sign as one of the targets. The oddities have begun to appear. First at Lonely Lodge. The image that follows will be where we will most likely see the next oddities/time warps. Some of these are not actually in game, and will also probably be added to the map. (Check previous posts) Thanks for 400 too pic.twitter.com/3kLFIC5Fcl — Fortnite Leakage (@FNLeak) June 30, 2018 This also means that the sign will likely be destroyed within the coming days, following a trend of map changes that began since the in-game Rocket launch event on June 30th.

  • Popular Fortnite streamers and pro players react to Infinity Blade getting vaulted – ft. Ninja, CouRage, NICKMERCS, and more – Dexerto

Popular Fortnite streamers and pro players react to Infinity Blade getting vaulted – ft. Ninja, CouRage, NICKMERCS, and more December 14 will always be remembered as a day of great Victory Royale for the Fortnite community as developers Epic Games finally caved in and vaulted the much maligned Infinity Blade item. Added on December 11, the Infinity Blade was immediately perceived by many players as a very overpowered item that did not belong in the game’s default and core modes. After days of seemingly endless complaints, particularly from the big-name influencers, Epic announced that they would be rolling out nerfs for the item in the next game update, which would have been sometime next week. However, upon reading the details of the announcement, the player-base remained unsatisfied, especially since Epic made it clear that they were going to stick with the Infinity Blade being in the game, and were in fact planning on adding more “Mythical Items.” After a series of further complaints from disgruntled pro players and content creators, the developers finally gave in and vaulted the item, admitting that it was way too overpowered and that they “messed up.” Heya folks, We messed up and rolled out the Infinity Blade overpowered / without good counters, especially in the end game. The Infinity Blade has been Vaulted and we are re-evaluating our approach to Mythic items. Thanks for calling us out on this! — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) December 14, 2018 Upon seeing this, as one would expect, almost the entirety of the vast Fortnite player-base rejoiced, with many of those popular influencers going on Twitter to express their joy and relief that Epic had finally come to their senses. That being said, here are some of the best Twitter reactions from the biggest streamers and pros, including the likes of Ninja, CouRage, DrLupo, FaZe’s Cloak, Ali-A, NICKMERCS, TSM’s Daequan, and others. Couldn’t be more relieved to see the sword vaulted in Fortnite. In games, it’s super key to balance around things that are not only fun to play with but also play against. It wasn’t ever fun to fight the sword. Grateful to Epic for admitting they messed up. Wonderful news.— Jack “”CouRage”” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) December 14, 2018 Weapon balance, building, and movement around the map all are incredible right now in Fortnite With the sword now gone they just need to make planes get destroyed if they fly into builds Once they tweak planes I’m confident Fortnite Season 7 will be the most balanced season yet — Jack “”CouRage”” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) December 14, 2018 I’m not talkin bout bringing back the infinity blade or anything like it. that shit was dumb lol — Daequan (@TSM_Daequan) December 14, 2018 Do think if Fortnite turned the sword into a lightsaber and the planes into X-wings people would be less mad? — Marcel (@BasicallyIDoWrk) December 14, 2018 Teamwork makes the dream work, good job everyone. • Popular Fortnite streamer beats Ninja to become first to reach 100,000 eliminations – Dexerto

Popular Fortnite streamer beats Ninja to become first to reach 100,000 eliminations The incredible 100,000 elimination mark in Fortnite Battle Royale has finally been reached, and it was eclipsed by one of the biggest names in the game. Popular Twitch streamer HighDistortion passed the seemingly insurmountable mark on January 20, hitting 100,002 eliminations during the fateful match that put him over the top. After reaching the mark, the Team SoloMid content creator tweeted out a screenshot of new eliminations total along with a teary-eyed emoticon to commemorate his amazing achievement. The screenshot comes from Fortnite Tracker, an independent website that the community widely accepts as being the most reliable and official tracker for all relevant players’ statistics. According to HD’s profile on the site, he currently sits at 3,636 wins, 20.10 winning percentage, 6.92 K/D ratio, and, of course, 100,000+ eliminations. HD got his 100,000th elimination at Tilted Towers, which shouldn’t be much of a surprise. HD loves landing there as the hectic and crowded nature of the location perfectly suits his aggressive and relentless playstyle. The streamer went back to admire the elimination via the game’s replay system, a clip of which can be seen below. Hitting this huge milestone had been a long time coming for HighDistortion, who had been second to Twitch superstar Ninja in eliminations for a very long time. While many believed Ninja would be the first to reach the mark, his busy schedule, along with HD’s unconditional dedication, allowed the former Gears of War pro to take the lead not too long ago and make it a one-man race soon thereafter. Just to get an idea of how dedicated he’s been. HD has to have averaged at least 208 eliminations per day in the 481 days that the game has been out for him to have reached this mark, and that’s if he played from day one. HD will not be alone in the 100K club for long, however, as Ninja is about 1,600 eliminations off the pace and will likely reach the mark himself in the near future. TY BROTHER! the 100k club is lonely, see you soon! — TSM HighDistortion (@HighDistortion) January 20, 2019

  • Popular Fortnite St. Patrick’s Day variant skin accidentally leaked – Dexerto

Popular Fortnite St. Patrick’s Day variant skin accidentally leaked Epic Games accidentally showed off a new skin in the Fortnite Creative mode, revealing that a new spin on an old favorite will be arriving in the foreseeable future. Leaked skins are quite common to see in Fortnite, but it’s not too often that Epic Games themselves will leak it. Fortnite leaker HYPEX shared the loading screen, which was first discovered by Guille_GAG and PlatBuilds. Many players might have actually gotten a glimpse of this skin, but not actually realized it’s actually a new one. Eagle-eyed fans might notice that this is actually a male version of the Sgt. Green Clover skin. Fortnite teased this skin by mistake in creative :flushed: (credits in the image) pic.twitter.com/w5uVVXRhWA — HYPEX – Fortnite Leaks & News (@HYPEX) November 11, 2019 A quick glance at the leaked image shows a leprechaun looking character complete with a red beard. If it’s not an actual variant, it’s the closest to one as we’re going to get. The Sgt. Green Clover skin first appeared as part of St. Patrick’s Day in 2018, making it one of the first skins to appear in Fortnite. Of course, the game was popular then, but considering how much it has continued to grow, this skin began to become known as one of the “OG” skins that players like to brag about. It has only appeared in the Item Shop a total of five times, with the last appearance being St. Patrick’s Day 2019, making it one of the rarer skins in the game. The developers have certainly shown a willingness to bring rare skins back as they have famously done so with the Red Knight, Skull Trooper, and most recently, the Ghoul Trooper. Since this is a St. Patrick’s skin, it seems a bit curious that it was revealed so soon as we’re still a little over four months out from a release, if that’s what the devs have in store. Female and male variants of popular skins have become quite common in Fortnite, and it gives players a chance to choose between two different options. For the time being, the male version of this popular and rare skin will still be a ways out, so don’t get your hopes up for a release until near March at earliest.

  • Popular Fortnite skins disabled after frame rate bug crashes game – Dexerto

Popular Fortnite skins disabled after frame rate bug crashes game Epic GamesEpic Games have disabled a slew of popular Fortnite skins after a massive frame rate issue was found that crashed the game for some players. The company announced the decision on January 15 after players reported the same kind of lag that would happen when skins like Meowscles and Brutus would interact with Spider-Man’s Web Shooters. For people playing on older consoles, this would make their platform go into overdrive in trying to keep up the frame issues. Epic are currently investigating the cause of the issue to include a fix in time for the next Fortnite patch. These Outfits will be re-enabled when the issue is resolved in our next game update. pic.twitter.com/OcQ9JnKiY4 — Fortnite Status (@FortniteStatus) January 15, 2022 Epic disabled a total of five skins from the game, all of which were released during the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 Battle Pass. The Brutus, TNTina, Meowscles, Skye, and Midas cosmetics were all turned off in the battle royale, but the developers plan to bring them back soon. It’s unclear what caused the issues to arise but the problem was readily noticeable for any player that came across it. “You can literally crash anyone’s game just using [the] Midas skin with gold reactive pulling out Spiderman over and over,” one person explained. “And it works for everyone in the game.” you can literally crash anyones game just using midas skin with gold reactive pulling out spiderman over and over and it works for everyone in the game — Crazy (@ImCrazyGGs) January 15, 2022 POV: You play Fortnite on anything other than an RTX 30 Series pic.twitter.com/RpugtUdtL4 — RazvE (@RqzvE) January 12, 2022 This was found to be the case for Meowscles, Skye, and the rest of the now-disabled skins. Videos from users showed the effects the issue could have on people on the receiving end of the issues. Someone recorded their PlayStation 4 console as the frame rate issue was spiking, making the device act out as the game played. To avoid any unnecessary consequences from the glitch, Epic are going to find the source of the problem before bringing the skins back to the live servers

  • Popular Fortnite leaks outlet forced to shut down by Epic Games – Dexerto

Popular Fortnite leaks outlet forced to shut down by Epic Games One of the biggest online outlets for Fortnite Battle Royale news and leaks is being forced to shut down by game developer Epic Games. The owner of FNBRLeaks, Preston, announced on December 13 that he will be shutting down the popular outlet’s pages on social media, Discord, and YouTube as a direct result of Epic Games threatening to take legal action against him and his business. “I am not going to go into specifics with this, but due to the request of an Epic Games Attorney, who I’m not going to disclose, my Twitter, Discord, YouTube, Instagram, and GitHub must be deleted, or else they will take action,” he tweeted. “Thank you all for the support and followers over my 7 month span of the FNBRLeaks Twitter. Sadly, everything comes to an end.” According to the last tweet posted on the FNBRLeaks Twitter page, the account would be shut down and deleted on December 13 at 4:45 PM PT / 7:45 PM ET. Unfortunately, it appears that FNBRLeaks went a little too above and beyond when it came to leaking content, and Epic Games ultimately decided that enough was enough. ‘TwoEpicBuddies,’ a prominent German-based data miner, announced on November 5 that he was no longer in the leaking business, although he did not mention any threat of legal action and instead chalked it up to “I don’t feel like doing it anymore.” However, it could also mean that Epic are admitting defeat when it comes to stopping unreleased and upcoming content from appearing in their game files, which is how these data miners have been leaking content since Fortnite grew to prominence in late 2017.

  • Polar Peak is breaking in Fortnite Battle Royale, sparking Dragon rumors – Dexerto

Polar Peak is breaking in Fortnite Battle Royale, sparking Dragon rumors Epic GamesFortnite Battle Royale might well have one whole quarter of its map dedicated to a snow biome, but it looks increasingly likely that it could all come to an end in Season 9 as Polar Peak has started to break. Epic Games decided to introduced a number of major changes to the gameplay of the popular battle royale title at the beginning of Season 7, by removing points of interest such as Flush Factory and Greasy Grove to make way for all new snow biome. However, their replacements – Polar Peak, Happy Hamlet and Frosty Flights – have since started to feel outdated, particularly the latter as X-4 Stormwing planes are no longer available as a form of transport. A runway without planes is no runway at all. Following the v9.10 update being released, it doesn’t take good eyesight to see that Polar Peak now has a huge crack down the middle of the iceberg. With the surface looking particularly unstable, plus the rumbling sounds that players are hearing near the location, it looks set to fall sometime in the near future. Interestingly, footage captured by players also seems to suggest that there could be something trapped inside the ice that’s waiting to break free, as seen below. Wind/sounds are coming from massive new cracks In polar peak! Something trapped Inside trying to break out? pic.twitter.com/nY3OUSJhhp — Happy Power (@HappyPower) May 22, 2019 Dragons coming soon to Fortnite Season 9? With so many dragon rumors circulating since Season 7 began, with eggs spotted nearby, there’s no doubt that those who still believe one will emerge from the ice will be excited by the possibility of it happening in Season 9. Though, it is a long shot. Whether or not the ice falling from the location would result in the entire snow biome being removed remains to be seen, but with rumors of Greasy Grove returning in a NEO style – much like the newly revamped Tilted Towers and Mega Mall locations – there’s a good chance that it could spell the end for the snow.

  • Pokimane’s Fortnite shopping spree leaves “financial advisor” in tears – Dexerto

Pokimane’s Fortnite shopping spree leaves “financial advisor” in tears Twitch superstar Imane ‘ Fortnite Chapter 2 Battle Pass so she bought her way through it, but not before consulting her “financial advisor” for advice. The start of a new Fortnite season is always exciting as it’s the beginning of something new and players are always excited to take a look at the plethora of new changes. Although we didn’t receive a proper set of patch notes, there was a new map, new mechanics, and new vehicles to look forward to. Chapter 2 completely overhauled Fortnite as we knew it. Pokimane was especially excited to give it a look and quickly fell in love with pretty much every part of the Battle Pass. However, before buying it, she had to get her “financial advisor” on the phone to let them know she was about to drop a large sum of money on some skins. “I need to contact my manager, my financial advisor,” she said. “Yeah, um, I’m trying to purchase 73 tiers of the Battle Pass, do you think I can do that?” (Quote begins at 0:21 seconds) Of course, there’s nobody on the other side of the line, despite what Poki’s video wants you to believe. Buying 74 tiers of a Battle Pass will cost a pretty penny but for a streamer the size of her, that will just be a drop in the pond. To her defense, there are some nice looking skins in there. At one point, she stopped on the Cameo vs Chic skin and exclaimed: “that’s me!” When Fortnite first released, Pokimane played a lot of it but as time went on, she transitioned into more of a variety streamer, only playing Fortnite sporadically. While she has returned for the start of Chapter 2, there’s no telling how long she’ll stick around with it.

  • Pokimane’s Fortnite emote has unintended consequences for every skin – Dexerto

Pokimane’s Fortnite emote has unintended consequences for every skin L: Epic Games R: PokimaneAs part of the Fortnite Icon series, Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys got her own emote in the game, but it’s doing some strange things to the character models. Epic Games have been rolling out new cosmetics for Fortnite streamers with the new Icon series, with the likes of Ninja, Pokimane, and Jordan Fisher all being immortalized. Ninja got things started with an outfit skin and emote, while Pokimane and Jordan Fisher followed with emotes. However, Poki’s emote isn’t doing any favors for the skins currently in the game. For some reason, her emote, which is a dance that the Twitch superstar popularized, stretched out the skins and warps their body size. This issue isn’t exclusive to just one skin, as players are reporting problems with a variety of them. The Kylo Ren skin, for example, becomes super stretched while using the emote. An in-game example of this can be seen below, as Reddit user xTechFusion20x captured a clip of the Snorkel Ops performing this emote and becoming warped as a result. If Snorkle Ops becoming wider isn’t enough evidence, players quickly revealed even more examples of the issue. Redditor Solid- shared an image of three different skins all having enlarged torsos, showing just how widespread the problem has become. All in all, it’s not the biggest deal as this won’t have any effect on gameplay, but it is annoying to see an emote you paid for significantly alter your character. Several Fortnite cosmetics have had issues in the past, such as capes having unintended physics, and they were subsequently fixed by Epic. Since this is happening to so many different skins, Epic might get a fix pushed out for this emote as soon as possible. In the meantime, you’ll just have to deal with your character model being a tad thicker than usual whenever you use this dance. We’ll have to hope that future Icon emotes will not run into issues like this, especially since they all have a chance to become really popular.

  • Pokimane slams Epic for making Fortnite worse: “Back to Minecraft” – Dexerto

Pokimane slams Epic for making Fortnite worse: “Back to Minecraft” Pokimane / TwitchEpic Games has caused a stir in the Fortnite community due to a number of updates in Season 10 and popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys has suggested it will keep her away from playing the game altogether. Since the launch of Season X, and with it the addition of BRUTE mechs, many streamers have ‘boycotted’ Fortnite Battle Royale, many opting to play Minecraft instead. This has resulted in a boost of viewership for Minecraft and the trend looks set to continue as the v10.20 update from Epic Games significantly nerfed ‘Turbo Building’ – a popular setting used by most competitive players. Pokimane, who originally grew to popularity on Twitch through League of Legends, is just as well known these days as a Fortnite streamer, but she too has dropped the game due to the changes made by Epic. Following the Turbo Building nerf, which for many was the last straw, Pokimane tweeted: “Crazy how everyone expected Fortnite to fix their game but instead they did the opposite.” Like many other content creators, Pokimane is going “back to Minecraft”, at least until Epic Games make the changes that they want. crazy how everyone expected Fortnite to fix their game but instead they did the opposite :zipper_mouth_face: back to minecraft we go.. — pokimane (@pokimanelol) August 27, 2019 The boycott hasn’t worked thus far, though, as Epic have stood firm on their changes. They argued that the addition of the BRUTE mechs was in-keeping with their “philosophy” for Fortnite, for example. As for Turbo Building, the developers listed four reasons for the change: “It favors players with low ping in disproportionate ways; Turtling disproportionately favors defender; Easy to accidentally place multiple pieces “at once”; We want building to be a bit more deliberate.” Mixer streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins said it would be an interesting test of Epic Games’ resolve if every content creator stopped playing the game for a week. The Fortnite player base is much larger than just the YouTubers and streamers though, and it appears as though the priority is being given to less skilled players, so to encourage new people to give the battle royale a try.

  • Pokimane shocked after random Fortnite duo suddenly gets racist – Dexerto

Pokimane shocked after random Fortnite duo suddenly gets racist Pokimane/Twitch/FortniteImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys ran into yet another toxic player after searching the random duos playlist on Fortnite during one of her Twitch streams. Imane is the leading female twitch streamer with almost three million followers on her channel and she is often seen as a role model for many women in gaming. She has had massive success on League of Legends, as her viewership numbers spiked during the early months of the game’s release. Poki often finds herself playing games with an auto-filled player in the duo’s game mode and although many of her viewers enjoy the random element of her queuing up with anyone, it can also come with its downsides. Read More: Twitch streamer faces backlash following her drunken rant about FaZe players Pokimane has had issues in the past with this game mode as she has no control over what the people on her team can say in front of her audience, and this clip is prime example. During the early stages of the match with Imane, the teammate randomly stated that they wished the earth was flat and when Pokimane inquired, the player suddenly blurted out a racist slur, for seemingly no other reason than to get a reaction from the streamer. As seen in the clip, Pokimane was immediately shocked by what the player said, while only being able to respond by saying “what”, before she muted the duo from saying anything further in front of her audience. Pokimane’s issues in the past with this game mode has included young players being extremely crude, to others who have let things slip unaware that their voice was being broadcasted to such a large audience. This probably won’t be the last time that the auto-filled duos game mode will have some controversial moments on Twitch as it seems to be a favorite among Fortnite streamers for entertaining their audiences.

  • Pokimane reveals custom Fortnite emote based on viral TikTok dance – Dexerto

Pokimane reveals custom Fortnite emote based on viral TikTok dance Instagram: @pokimanelol / Epic GamesTwitch megastar Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys announced on January 18 that she is getting her own in-game Fortnite emote, following in the footsteps of Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins as Epic continues to add streamers to the game. Pokimane is the most popular female streamer on Twitch, and is a juggernaut on social media, boasting millions of subscribers across her YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. The OfflineTV personality announced on social media that she will be the second streamer to be featured in the game by getting her own Fortnite emote. On January 18, the streamer revealed on Twitter that the emote is based on a dance that she had posted on the video app Tik-Tok. Just like Ninja’s skin pack which was announced on January 15th, the Twitch star will be represented in the game – although not as a skin like the Mixer star. On Twitter, she detailed that the addition will be available on January 19th at 4PM PST. “Can’t believe I’m saying this, but i officially have my own @fortnitegame Emote! it’s available at 4PM PT tomorrow if you’d like to get it!” she said. can’t believe i’m saying this, but i officially have my own @fortnitegame Emote! 🤯🥳 it’s available at 4PM PT tomorrow if you’d like to get it! #EpicPartner P.S – you can also enter to have your own in-game emote by submitting a dance via @tiktok_us with #EmoteRoyalecontest 😁 pic.twitter.com/HItsUD3B7x — pokimane (@pokimanelol) January 18, 2020 Pokimane’s announcement comes fresh off of Epic partnering with Tik-Tok, as fans can submit their own dance to the popular social media app for a chance to get their own emote into the battle royale. The streamer made the reveal during her broadcast, where she also hinted at the possibility of getting her own skin. “There’s no skin for now. Maybe someday. But for now, I do little dance!” she said. She had previously teased an announcement on October 20th, stating that she was “signing the contract soon” which led many of her fans to believe that she was making the jump from Twitch to Mixer, although perhaps this was the deal she was hinting at. Pokimane had an incredible 2019, gaining millions of subscribers on Twitch and launching her own clothing brand which sold out in a month after release. And now the streaming personality has been immortalized in Fortnite, solidifying her as one of the most influential entertainers on the platform right now. And who knows, maybe she will get her very own skin in the future.

  • Pokimane reveals one change she wants in Fortnite Season 2 – Dexerto

Pokimane reveals one change she wants in Fortnite Season 2 Epic Games/Twitch: PokimanePokimane, the world’s largest female streamer, has shared her reactions to the brand-new Fortnite Chapter 2 season, picking out both what she likes and what she’s dreading coming up against. As with any new season of a game like Fortnite, the community has been quick to establish its opinions. Despite not all the changes being clear – largely due to Epic Games’ reluctance to release exhaustive patch notes – fans have quickly isolated some aspects they want reverting. While the skins and emotes featured in the new battle pass have been generally praised, some players have expressed concern over the lack of tangible changes to the battle royale itself. Lannan ‘Lazarbeam’ Eacott has described the lack of significant changes as “pretty boring,”. By contrast, YouTuber ‘Lachlan’ is a big fan. Similarly, Pokimane expressed her admiration for the new skins — especially the Swole Cat and Midas. She also liked the new emotes, including the ‘Big Haul’ Glider. Read More: $250,000 DreamHack Anaheim Fortnite hub – “I’m not gonna lie,” the 23-year-old opened. “These are really well done. They’re really cool.” A number of the new battle pass features relate to comic book characters, including Marvel’s Deadpool and DC’s anti-hero, Harley Quinn. Her love for the new battle pass prompted Poki to purchase all of its tiers, before she hopped into a few games. Playing alongside a bunch of random duos – as has become a staple of Pokimane’s Fortnite gameplay – she enjoyed finding the new POIs on the map, as well as sneaking around in the brand new Creepin’ Cardboard consumable, which essentially lets players sneak around in a box. However, Poki expressed concern at the re-introduction of the Remote Explosives (or ‘C4’), despite their base damage being reduced to 60. “I love C4,” she said sarcastically, after an enemy killed her thanks to the destructive power of the remotely detonated device. “Actually, they should remove the C4 again, that would be nice.” The Remote Explosives have been back and forth in Fortnite, seeing nerfs and buffs as Epic struggle to balance its lethality towards players, and its environmental destruction. Despite the flaws, Poki seems optimistic for the future of Epic Games’ building battle royale after signing the video off with a message about looking forward to duo pairings over the course of Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 2.

  • Pokimane & Myth reveal the biggest problem with Fortnite’s audio – Dexerto

Pokimane & Myth reveal the biggest problem with Fortnite’s audio Twitter: @pokimanelol / Epic Games[jwplayer 3rV0GuQ7]Popular streamers Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani and Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys explained their biggest problem with Fortnite’s audio. The Twitch stars revealed to viewers how the battle royale’s sound mixing can become really distracting. Audio is not only integral to the battle royale genre, it might even be the most important element for most players. Being able to hear the footsteps of your enemy is necessary to not getting eliminated. However, according to Twitch streamers Myth and Pokimane, Fortnite has a glaring problem with its sound. The duo explained their issue with the game’s mixing during their September 24 broadcast. Pokimane & Myth on Fortnite audio problem According to popular streamers Myth and Pokimane, Fortnite in its current state has a problem with its noise levels. “It still shocks me that you can’t, like, turn off the music at places,” the Team SoloMid star explained. Poki agreed and exclaimed, “Yeah, this is so f**king loud! It’s just so loud!” He then replied, “The entire game is just noise pollution. Everything is just super loud when you use it. Vehicles, those little missions that will have random audio cues.” Myth continued to explain that all the various noises together is too much. “So you got the music, on top of the cars, on top of the random missions!” Pokimane laughed and added, “You aren’t ever going to hear footsteps!” Over on the /FortniteCompetitive subreddit, players agreed with the Twitch personalities, and questioned why there isn’t an option in the menu to adjust the volume of special effects and music within the world. “There is literally a ‘Music’ slider in the options – and it does not work on music in the game. Why?” ‘machngnXmessiah’ asked. Others agreed and found the “noise pollution” to be overwhelming. Regardless of how much you agree with the streamers’ viewpoint, there is no denying that Fortnite has continued to become more complex audio-wise with its ever-expanding map. Only time will tell if Epic Games would ever consider dialing things down a little, or perhaps even giving fans an option to the control the levels of noise in the world itself.

  • Pokimane explains why she stopped streaming Fortnite – Dexerto

Pokimane explains why she stopped streaming Fortnite YouTube: Pokimane / Epic Games / TwitchImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys is an avid player of Fortnite, but she doesn’t get the same kick from playing it in front of her adoring fans, recently explaining why she’s practically stopped streaming the game for the foreseeable future. Pokimane has taken a liking to Fortnite over the last couple of years, even getting immortalized in the popular battle royale in the form of an emote. However, she’s starting to enjoy playing the game less and less — at least on stream. Explaining why in a February 3 YouTube video, the reason behind her practically stopping playing Fortnite on stream is a very simple one. “I feel like I can play it for a few hours, but I don’t really like to stream it,” she said, explaining to a duos partner. “I get a million stream snipers, and then I want to cry.” It’s understandable that Pokimane would be the target of stream snipers and trolls looking to get their names on stream for a quick clip. She’s one of the most popular personalities on Twitch, and getting in her clips is somewhat of an achievement for some players. However, the people who aim so hard to get into her games also make them less enjoyable. She can be targeted by upwards of a dozen players every game, looking to get their five seconds of fame in the killfeed, giving her very little time to actually play for fun. For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 3:03. Those weren’t Pokimane’s only complaints about the current state of Fortnite though. “I feel like Fortnite hasn’t released anything in a minute,” she said, talking to her duo about the lack of content updates since the release of Chapter 2. This sentiment has been echoed by pro players and streamers alike, where stream snipers and the lack of content have made the Fortnite experience boring as of late. Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney used that exact word to describe the battle royale, choosing to defect to games like Escape from Tarkov for the time being. “I’m going to play Tarkov obviously, I’m not playing f**king Fortnite, it’s so boring,” he said. “Even when I was on zero ping it was f**king boring dude. They need to come out with a new season ASAP bro.” Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, the game’s most recognizable name, added he was expecting more from the Chapter 2 update, and Epic Games is yet to deliver. “There’s only one thing that makes sense for the incredible lack of content being added and weapons and…I don’t want to say incredible, but, I think this next season, it’s got to be the craziest thing ever – it’s got to be,” he said. That next season is still a couple of weeks away, with Chapter 2: Season 2 set to be released on February 20. While it might not solve stream sniper problems Pokimane is having problems with, it could be an enticing draw for her, and a lot of other streamers, returning to the game that once dominated Twitch.

  • Pokimane commends Epic for “always adapting” Fortnite amid no-build mode hype – Dexerto

Pokimane commends Epic for “always adapting” Fortnite amid no-build mode hype Epic Games / Twitch: PokimaneImane ‘Pokimane’ Anys has weighed in with her opinion on the mostly well-received decision by Epic Games to remove building in the latest chapter of Fortnite. With Chapter 3 Season 2, the game has undergone potentially the biggest change throughout its illustrious history, and Poki is here for it. Pokimane has long been a stalwart of the Fortnite scene. Despite quitting it more than once, the streamer consistently finds herself returning to the game — at least around big updates. With Epic Games’ decision to remove building from the gameplay, streamers have been jumping in with their compliments and criticisms on the impact it has had upon general play. On a March 24 stream, Poki gave the contentious mode a spin and had her thoughts clear from the start: “I’m glad we get to at least see what it’s like with no building.” Continuing on with her feelings on the decision, she gave a rousing recommendation of the moves pulled by Epic Games. “Say whatever the frick you wanna say about Fortnite or Epic Games, you’ve gotta give it to ’em. They are always adapting and coming out with fresh content and trying new things. And I respect the hell outta that.” Along with the decision to remove builds another new feature of Season 3 Chapter 2 instantly caught Poki’s eye. “I can’t believe they’re letting you ride the battle bus. I still remember pressing B to thank the driver.” However, Pokimane’s thoughts were best summed up by the rhetorical question every player asks themselves after each update: “What hasn’t Fortnite done?” While the overall response to this decision has been positive for the most part, the Fortnite subreddit was quick to turn to anarchy, with hardcore fans bemoaning the thousands of wasted hours learning to build. However, streamers cannot gush enough, from Tfue to Dr Disrespect and now Poki — with the no-build mode gaining insane traction in the community.

  • Pokimane amazed after fan turns her into “freaking cool” Fortnite skin – Dexerto

Pokimane amazed after fan turns her into “freaking cool” Fortnite skin YouTube: Pokimane[jwplayer 3rV0GuQ7]Twitch star Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was blown away after a fan brought her to life in Fortnite with her very own custom skin. The streamer was floored by how much it looked like her. For many, Pokimane has been one the faces of Twitch over the last few years. The Moroccan-Canadian is the platform’s top female streamer, and pulls in millions of viewers to her channel. In January, the star even had her viral TikTok dance immortalized in Fortnite as an emote. In August, the personality was floored when a fan created her own custom skin in the popular battle royale. Pokimane custom Fortnite skin During her August 1 upload, the Twitch streamer revealed to viewers that a fan had created her in Fortnite with an actual in-game render. “Someone actually went ahead and created an in-game model of a Poki skin!” she said excitedly. The star was blown away by how spot on the creation captured her hairstyle. “It’s so hard to render hair like mine! Because it’s not fully curly but it ain’t straight. It’s like wavy and curly,” she said, before explaining that the creator had to use two hair models on top of each other to achieve the look. The custom skin even featured Pokimane’s official merchandise as the outfit. Floored by it, she exclaimed, “This is insanely well made. Before this, I was like ‘yeah, a Fortnite skin would be cool!’ But then I saw this, and was like “F**k, now I need it! This is really freaking cool!” (Topic starts at 3:08.) This isn’t the first time one of Poki’s talented fans has created her in Fortnite. Back in January, artist ‘D3NNI’ went viral after uploading their concept of the Twitch streamer having her own Icon Series skin in the battle royale. POKIMANE X FORTNITE SKIN CONCEPT Since you guys loved my last concept so much, I’ve decided to make another! Here’s my second concept for the Icon Series skin line. Introducing Pokimane! 🥰 Hope you guys like it! ♡ pic.twitter.com/hbbOEyYNZD — D3NNI (@D3NNI_yt) January 29, 2020 Icon Series was launched in January, which brings content creators and stars to the game. Popular streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins was the first to get his very own in-game skin. While Pokimane only has an emote so far, the personality seems interested in eventually having her likeness brought to the game after seeing what her fans are able to whip up.

  • Poison Trap coming to Fortnite with v8.20 update – Dexerto

Poison Trap coming to Fortnite with v8.20 update With the upcoming v8.20 update in Fortnite, Epic Games is set to debut a ranked playlist and a new trap called the Poison Trap. Epic Games announced a little bit of what players can look forward to with the upcoming v8.20 update of Fortnite via the in-game news section. If players check the news in Fortnite, they will see that a new trap called the Poison Trap will be making its way to the game with the next update. Fortnite has been in need of a new trap for quite some time now after the shock trap was removed, leaving just the floor trap in the game. Eventually, Epic Games did allow for the floor trap to be placed on walls and ceilings but it’s clear there was still room for more variety in traps. How will the Poison Trap work? It sounds like the Poison Trap will be pretty straight forward. If players step on the trap they will trigger it and become poisoned. This likely means a player will lose health over time at the poison does its damage. It’s unclear if there will be initial damage dealt by the trap or if it is all over time. The patch notes will reveal a lot more about the trap when they release but we can probably get the overall idea from the description which reads: “It’s a Poison Trap! Watch your step lest you trigger a trap!” This trap isn’t the only exciting thing coming with the update however as Epic Games revealed a ranked playlist of sorts will be coming to Fortnite too. The new Arena Mode will be coming with update v8.20 and it sounds like it’ll be here to stay. Players will finally be able to get a taste of ranked action in Fortnite and that will surely mean good things for players of all skill levels. The new update is scheduled for 5 am EST on March 27, which is when downtime will begin. Downtime typically doesn’t last too long, so players shouldn’t have to worry about out of commission for too long.

  • Poach Explains Why He Wanted to Add Vivid to Team Liquid’s Fortnite Roster – Dexerto

Poach Explains Why He Wanted to Add Vivid to Team Liquid’s Fortnite Roster Team LiquidTeam Liquid’s Jake ‘Poach’ Brumleve has commented the organization’s recent decision to add Noah ‘Vivid’ Wright to the starting roster of their pro Fortnite team, saying it was a move that he pushed for. Speaking to viewers of his Twitch stream, the Fortnite Battle Royale star made it clear that the move wasn’t a random one and that he actually initiated it. “I was the one that pushed for it. I was the one that said I want him on the team, you know? “I knew he’s a nuts player, and then I played with him in the [Fortnite Summer] Skirmish and we won… Like, yes I’m glad with the pickup. I’m the one that initiated it.” Vivid replaced Adam ‘Strafesh0t’ Crawford on the starting roster – a decision that was lamented by Strafesh0t fans, but Poach seems certain that the decision was the best one for the team moving forward. Vivid had been heavily linked with a move to TSM prior to joining Team Liquid, but he has since stated that a natural chemistry with the Team Liquid players was the main factor in helping him make a decision. Read More: How to Find the Secret Fortnite Banner that Replaced the Battle Star for the Week 8 Road Trip Challenge – As Poach mentioned in the clip above, he and Vivid have already found success as a duo in the past – earning themselves $75,000 by winning Week 5 of the Fortnite Summer Skirmish series. Vivid also won the Week 4 solo tournament (a competition that saw Poach finish in second place) so it is easy to see why he was so heavily sought after by the likes of Team Liquid and TSM. Strafsh0t’s future is currently uncertain, by Team Liquid’s co-owner Steve Arhancet has made it clear that he has options within the organization and is also free to pursue other opportunities.

  • PlayStation Store leaks Fortnite Star Wars Kylo Ren & Zorii Bliss skins – Dexerto

PlayStation Store leaks Fortnite Star Wars Kylo Ren & Zorii Bliss skins Update: Both skins are now live in Fortnite. The Scoundrel has arrived. Grab the Zorii Bliss Outfit in the Item Shop now! #FortniteXStarWars pic.twitter.com/tbl3gAmfBA — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) December 21, 2019 The Supreme Leader has arrived. Grab the Kylo Ren Outfit in the Item Shop now! #FortniteXStarWars pic.twitter.com/KwEmAdRNSQ — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) December 21, 2019 Original story below. The PlayStation Store, no stranger to Fortnite leaks, has leaked two upcoming Star Wars skins – Kylo Ren and Zorii Bliss – and they might be coming to the item shop as early as December 20. The conclusion of the nine-film Skywalker Saga has arrived with The Rise of Skywalker and it looks like Fortnite is celebrating with one more set of skins. We already knew about a Kylo Ren skin as that has leaked already, but the Zorii Bliss one is a bit more surprising. Bliss is one of the new characters who was introduced in The Rise of Skywalkers and ends up playing a key role in the outcome. Kylo Ren, of course, has been the antagonist of the entire sequel trilogy and now he’s being immortalized into Fortnite. Each cosmetic could be available a lot sooner rather than later, especially given the PlayStation Store has already leaked them. Prominent Fortnite leaker HYPEX caught a couple of screenshots of the leaked page, showing the skins do in fact exist. PS4 Just leaked “”Kylo Ren”” & “”Zorii Bliss”” skins’ official Pics! Maybe in the shop tonight ? pic.twitter.com/G4lS9sEhwZ — HYPEX (@HYPEX) December 20, 2019 December 20 would definitely be the best time to release this skin since it’d capitalize on the release of the new movie. This would be the first time a skin introduces a brand-new character from the film so it makes sense for it to launch on the official release day of the film. Outside of these two skins, there’s nothing on the horizon in terms of some additional Star Wars skin. We were already spoiled as it is so we can’t be too greedy and ask for more. Some fans thought there would be a chance of getting our hands on a Luke Skywalker game since Mark Hamill was promoting Fortnite in an episode of Xbox Sessions with Ninja, but that ended up being too good to be true. All in all, we received six separate Star Wars skins, including these two leaked ones, so there’s not a whole lot to be upset with.

  • Playing “More Fortnite Than Ever” Is the Key to Success for Harry Kane and England at the World Cup – Dexerto

Playing “More Fortnite Than Ever” Is the Key to Success for Harry Kane and England at the World Cup soccer.ru / Кирилл ВенедиктовHarry Kane has revealed the secret to the England football team’s current success at the World Cup and yes, you guessed it, it’s Fortnite Battle Royale! “It’s coming home.” That’s the sentence that any English football fan will respond with if you ask them about England’s chances in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Now, thanks to Fortnite, that is looking more likely than ever before. You might think that we’re over exaggerating this point, England is now through to the quarter-final stage of the biggest tournament in football for the first time in 12 years, and it’s happened with a squad that many pundits had doubts about. Read More: TSM’s Myth and FaZe Clan’s Tfue Show the Beauty of Playground Mode With Insane Fortnite Build Battles – In a recent interview with the BBC, the team’s captain, Harry Kane, revealed that him and the team are enjoying playing “more Fortnite than ever” while at the competition, and we believe the results speak for themselves! The interviewer, Gabby Logan, asked Kane what he’s doing at the World Cup that he “really enjoys”, and the England skipper needed no time at all to answer: “Playing Fortnite! As silly as that sounds, it passed the time quite well, so there are quite a few of us just playing a few games of that.” Kane goes on to state that his partner keeps saying that it feels like the team is “on a boys’ holiday” with everyone “just playing Fortnite” and he says he wants to “enjoy it while it lasts”! It’s no secret that some of the England players are fans of Fortnite. Kane’s Tottenham Hostpur teammate, Dele Alli, has previously streamed his games on Twitch and both of them have played with Fortnite sensation Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins in the past. England will face Sweden in the quarter-final stage of the World Cup on July 7th, but don’t be surprised if you find yourself losing a building battle to “hkane93” before that!

  • Playgrounds and Replay mode disabled in Fortnite ahead of Marshmello concert – Dexerto

Playgrounds and Replay mode disabled in Fortnite ahead of Marshmello concert Epic GamesUpdate, February 2, 3:10PM EST – With the Marshmello concert now complete, Playgrounds and Replay mode have now been re-enabled. Playgrounds and the Replay Tab are now re-enabled. We appreciate your patience. — Fortnite (@FortniteGame) February 2, 2019 If you’re wondering why you can no longer jump into Playgrounds or use Replay mode in Fortnite, don’t panic, you’re not the only one. • Playground LTM Mode Finally Coming To Fortnite – New Practice Mode with Respawns and Increased Resources – Dexerto

Playground LTM Mode Finally Coming To Fortnite – New Practice Mode with Respawns and Increased Resources A new daily message in Fortnite Battle Royale has confirmed the long anticipated ‘Playground’ Limited Time Mode is ‘coming soon’. The mode was previously teased by developers Epic Games some weeks ago, but fans haven’t heard anything since with multiple patches going by. Playground is set to be the first iteration of a practice mode, something which fans have been very keen for since day one of Fortnite Battle Royale. For new players who are still getting used to building, this should be the ideal mode, as there will be increased building materials and resources – as well as respawning. On June 24th, the daily news items were updated with the message “Playground LTM – Coming Soon! – Let your creativity run wild on your own private island!’ This is particularly big news for competitive players, as private lobbies may indicate more opportunities for custom designed matches. Although there is no date specified for when Playground will be added, it is likely it will come with the next content update, expected sometime this coming week. The details of the Playground LTM were previously disclosed by Epic Games in the State of Development V5 on May 24th: Playground LTM (v1) The Playground LTM will load you into the Battle Royale Map with some adjusted settings. Battle and build to your heart’s content with an extended period of time to roam around the map as well as increased resource generation. All treasure chests and ammo crates will be spawned, try droppin’ in different spots and scope out the loot. Friendly fire is on so you can scrimmage with your squad (up to 4 friends per match), but fear not you’ll respawn immediately. Oh … and Lloads of Llamas.

  • Playground LTM in Fortnite Battle Royale is ‘Ending Soon’ – Dexerto

Playground LTM in Fortnite Battle Royale is ‘Ending Soon’ The fan favorite Playground Limited Time Mode in Fortnite is ‘ending soon’, according to a new daily message in the game’s hub. Fortnite developers recently confirmed they are working on a version of the mode that will be permanent, but it appears that version is not ready yet, and so the current version will be taken out for now. There is no doubt that it will return again, although Epic Games has not made any official announcement on this as they ramp up for the launch of season 5. Players can likely expect the mode to end simultaneously with the conclusion of season 4, with an updated and improved version hopefully dropping as part of season 5. We will keep this story updated as official word from Epic Games on when exactly Playground will be removed is announced. For now, it sounds like you will need to make the most of what Playground has to offer, but many players will also be determined to rank up their season level before the current season 4 ends. Epic Games did recently provide details of what the full, permanent, planned version of Playground will include in a Reddit post. For the next version of Playground we’re hoping to include functionality that would allow team selection options within the Playground itself. Here’s a few things you would gain with the ability to select teams: 1v1s and 2v2s – Aim assist for controllers – Editing other player’s structures – Traps affecting teammates/enemies correctly – Highlighting teammates on the map – Damaging enemies with your pickaxe – The Playground LTM represents our first step into what a full creative mode looks like in Fortnite. And remember, you will have until the release of v5.0 to access your Playground LTM replays.

  • Players want Fortnite to ditch “boring” hyper-realism and return to its roots – Dexerto

Players want Fortnite to ditch “boring” hyper-realism and return to its roots Epic GamesFortnite has deviated from its once “cartoony” map style and players think it’s time for the game to go back to its roots. Fortnite has evolved over the years to showcase various styles for each chapter and season. The most recent season, titled Myths and Mortals, takes on a mythology theme. However, not all styles fit Fortnite’s original and beloved cartoon-like appearance. What was once filled with little suburbs and restaurants has since been turned into full towns with gigantic colosseums. And this isn’t the stylistic choice that many fans wanted to see. Now, players on Reddit are commenting that they would like to see a return of styles mainly used back in the OG days of Fortnite. “I’m SO SICK of the Mediterranean architecture. EPIC, PLEASE, GIVE US THE CLASSIC CARTOONY SUBURBS BACK!!! We get it, you’re going through a hyper-realistic boring phase, but please. Give us back what made Fortnite FORTNITE,” said the original poster in the Reddit thread. Another user suggested, “OG should come back as an alternate permanent game mode.” But not everyone agreed with this sentiment, with some pointing out that change is inevitable and Fortnite would not be the same without differing variations. “I prefer the map having wildly different areas. Not suburbs over and over again,” argued one commenter. With Fortnite being created on a new engine and another revamp set for 2025, it’s unlikely that the original style will return anytime soon. However, this doesn’t mean it’s impossible, considering Epic Games brought back “OG” Fortnite before the end of 2023.

  • Players pinpoint this as the reason for Fortnite’s declining popularity – Dexerto

Players pinpoint this as the reason for Fortnite’s declining popularity Epic GamesFortnite players attributed the battle royale’s decline in popularity to “less frequent updates” and less unique limited-time modes. Epic Games introduced Fortnite in 2018, and since then, the game has had a meteoric rise to the top of not only the battle royale genre but also the gaming world as a whole, hosting tournaments with prize pools of over $100 million and boasting enormous player counts nearing 3 million. The game has now progressed to the fourth season of its fourth chapter, which introduced brand-new features, weekly quests, and new skins that fans are raving about, like the Star Wars Ahsoka skin. But some players have been unhappy with the state of the unique battle royale and pointed out what they believe to be Epic Games’ Fortnite’s current biggest flaws. Players weren’t shy about sharing their opinion on Fortnite’s issues One Fortnite fan issued a controversial statement to the community through the form of a meme, declaring what they believed were the most prevalent issues in the game, causing it to ostensibly decline in popularity. The user detailed four main problems plaguing the game’s success in 2023: “hard pivot to creative / smaller updates / less frequent updates / abandoning mode’s storyline / stop making original LTM’s.” Others were in close to unanimous agreement that Fortnite was not doing as well in 2023 as it should be with the resources that Epic Games have in hand, but attributed it to other factors, like spending too much money on the metaverse: “Like epic said they spent way too much money on metaverse and it wasn’t very profitable cause most people didn’t care.” Though, more optimistic Fortnite fans didn’t think the game was truly in a worrying state of decline, comparing the game to the Halo franchise, which has had a serious decline in recent years: “You know what they say… All good things must come to an end. I came from Halo though, Fortnite is still doing incredible in comparison,” one fan mentioned. Fortnite has also been under the spotlight after developers lashed out at Epic Games executives for mass layoffs.
