  • Players Can Now Listen to Old Fortnite Music In-Game Thanks to Fan-Made Program – Dexerto

Players Can Now Listen to Old Fortnite Music In-Game Thanks to Fan-Made Program Draken DevelopmentOne of the aspects of Fortnite that longtime players often say they miss the most is the old menu music. Despite the music having been completely changed several Seasons ago, many still long to listen to the old tunes. Fortunately for those nostalgic players, a Reddit user named ‘drakeshe’ has created a program that can turn their dream into reality. Called the ‘Fortnite Music Controller,’ the program allows players to listen to any music they want while in the menu of Fortnite, including the menu music of old. A demonstration of how the program works can be seen in the video below. The program operates in the background and has been designed to work with many different programs, including Spotify Chrome, Edge, Windows Groove Music, VLC, and more. And for those who may worry about Epic Games banning them for using a third party software, the developer has stated that the program is not detectable by Epic’s anti-cheat scanners. • Players call Fortnite “buzzkill” for locking collab items behind Battle Passes – Dexerto

Players call Fortnite “buzzkill” for locking collab items behind Battle Passes Marvel/Epic GamesFortnite players are calling the game a “buzzkill” for locking collaboration cosmetics behind Battle Passes that are never to be seen again. Here are their reactions and comments on social media. Fortnite has garnered significant acclaim for its unique in-game cosmetics as well as its intriguing and revolutionary gameplay mechanics. As the season progresses, the Battle Pass, a tier system that rewards players with exclusive outfits, emotes, and other items, turns into one of the most intriguing aspects of Fortnite’s cosmetic offerings. Specific Battle Pass seasons are distinguished by a large number of collaboration skins, which are exceptionally sought-after outfits and items generated from affiliations with celebrities, franchises, and icons of popular culture. Whether it be a complete Marvel-themed Battle Pass or one featuring specific characters such as Peter Griffin, The Mandalorian, or Spider-Gwen, these outfits are pass-holder exclusive and will never be seen again. This means that these cosmetics and outfits will never again be available in the Item Shop or the game, eliminating any opportunity for players to obtain them. At this time, players are referring to Fortnite as a “buzzkill” for the same reason they desire the return of Battle Pass-exclusive collab items to the Item Shop. Fortnite players demand Battle Pass collab items back in the Item Shop A Reddit user posted a collage of Fortnite Battle Pass collab outfits right from Deadpool, Rick Sanchez, Darth Vader, and many more while writing on the post, “Such a buzzkill that so many collabs are locked behind battle passes. I would happily buy them if they were in the shop.” As they argued about the exclusivity of such outfits strictly for Battle Pass owners, many such players turned in their thoughts. One such player said, “Man new to the game and have seen these skins around, I’m very sad I won’t be able to get them. Guess it’s the downside of getting into the game late.” Another chimed in, “They should do the COD mobile battle pass system. You can access previous battle passes and work on them anytime after purchasing them.” A third user commented, “I would gladly pay extra if they put battle pass skins in the store a few years after at a higher price than regular item shop skins. I get FOMO is the business practice but FOMO doesn’t work when it’s something I literally can’t ever get.” While there are plenty of collaborations that have happened in Fortnite to date, you can check out the full list right here at Dexerto.

  • Peter Griffin Fortnite skin has hilariously unique death animation – Dexerto

Peter Griffin Fortnite skin has hilariously unique death animation Epic GamesThe Peter Griffin skin added to Fortnite for Chapter 5 pays homage to one of the most iconic jokes from Family Guy. The addition of Peter Griffin to Fortnite in Chapter 5 Season 1 has already got the community riled up. The spectacle of seeing a character like this, even in the wake of other Fortnite collabs, marks a new step forward for the game’s popularity. Epic has clearly gone all out with the Peter Griffin Skin, even to the point where his physique has been changed significantly so that his hitbox isn’t literally pay-to-lose. Even more impressively, players are already starting to discover unique animations for the skin, and one of the best ones occurs when a player using it dies. Peter Griffin Fortnite skin hurts his knee when he dies In a throwback to Season 2 episode 20 of Family Guy, a Peter Griffin player will drop to the floor clutching their knee if they’re killed in-game. Just make sure you don’t get distracted by the animation. One player described the animation and new skin as “the best thing to happen to Fortnite since Ninja”, though there were also plenty of players who wanted the skin to have another animation for Peter’s beaten up body- another reference to the show. • Perfect timing: Myth dies to Fortnite hacker while discussing Jarvis ban – Dexerto

Perfect timing: Myth dies to Fortnite hacker while discussing Jarvis ban TSM content creator and pro Fortnite Battle Royale player Myth experienced perhaps the most hilariously perfect timing while streaming, as he was eliminated by a hacker while talking about the ban FaZe Clan star Jarvis was recently hit with. Controversy has struck the Fortnite community yet again, this time in the shape of Epic Games permanently banning 17-year-old FaZe star Jarvis from playing the battle royale title ever again due to his use of aimbot hacks in public matches. It comes as no surprise that, in the aftermath of the news breaking, almost every relevant content creator has been discussing the ban on-stream and across social media. One of those was Myth, except in his case, things got taken to a whole new level in a way that no one would probably believe without video proof. As he was discussing the Jarvis situation, the TSM superstar was suddenly subjected to perhaps the funniest coincidence ever to take place on his channel, as he was killed by a player who was very clearly and blatantly hacking. It all started when Myth was answering a viewer’s question about the severity of Jarvis’ punishment, when suddenly he stopped his explanation mid-sentence as he found himself on the wrong end of an inexplicable barrage of rockets being fired at him. After the initial shock of the elimination wore off, both the streamer and his audience began to realize what had just taken place, and their reactions were definitely suitable. As he spectated the hacker continue his merciless rampage of cheating, Myth could do nothing but sit back in his chair and laugh at the impeccable timing of his in-game death. The chat was filled with users either laughing or spamming Jarvis’ name, and even the streamer himself at one point said “JARVIS, nooooo!!!” – tongue-in-cheek of course. Interestingly enough, those are the very kinds of players that Epic Games are looking to send a message to with this permaban they’ve handed Jarvis. With him being one of the more recognizable names in Fortnite, Epic are hoping that by giving him a lifetime ban, they can make their stance on hacking and cheating very clear, as well as convey their zero-tolerance policy about breaking their rules.

  • “Pay to lose” contrail has Fortnite players scratching their heads – Dexerto

“Pay to lose” contrail has Fortnite players scratching their heads Epic GamesFortnite players complained that a new Chapter 5 Season 2 contrail obscured players’ view, and demanded a fix. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 unleashed its theme of Myths and Mortals. As part of this theme, they released many awesome Greek Pantheon-related Outfits, such as the Poseidon Rippley and Zeus skins. Epic Games also released other all-new cosmetics related to the Myth theme, including gliders and contrails. However, players are convinced that the new thunder-powered contrail, “Stormy Descent,” is pay-to-lose despite looking cool. “Ok, who came up with this sh*tty idea?” one player blasted Epic Games on social media, linking two images that warned the community that while descending from the Battle Bus with the new contrail your screen is nearly completely obscured. “I was so excited to get this contrail, but now I doubt I’ll ever use it,” said one player, clearly annoyed that the beautiful contrail put players at such a competitive disadvantage. Others compared the contrail to a glider that is infamous in the Fortnite community for being pay to lose: “They finally made a contrail to match the Millennium Falcon glider,” joked another player. Still, there were members of the community who actually liked the appearance of the item and thought it only needed a few tweaks to make it usable. “I do like the look of it. They just need to fix it so it’s more translucent,” proposed one fan. If you’re still interested in the Fortnite contrail despite the disadvantage it puts players at, it can be unlocked from Page 9 of the Chapter 5 Season 2 Battle Pass using 4 Battle Stars.

  • Parents Are Paying Fortnite Tutors To Help Their Kids Get Better and Hopefully Go Pro – Dexerto

Parents Are Paying Fortnite Tutors To Help Their Kids Get Better and Hopefully Go Pro Parents are bringing in the help of professional Fortnite tutors, paying up to $50, to improve their childrens’ skill in the popular battle royale game. Fortnite is now the game of choice for millions of kids and there is pressure not just to play, but to win, so much so that parents are willing to pay to give them an edge. According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, mother Ally Hicks paid for hours of online lessons for her 10 year old son. Hicks explains that the pressure to be good can spill over into conversations at school. “There’s pressure not to just play it but to be really good at it. You can imagine what that was like for him at school.” But, it’s not just about impressing their friends at school, as some parents are treating these lessons as an investment, hoping their kid might make it as a professional player. Fortnite developer Epic Games is pledging $100 million to esports prize pools for the 2018-19 season, and so there is certainly money to be made for those who can compete at the very top. Nick Mennen, father of 12 year old Noble, paid $20 an hour for lessons, hoping it will earn his son a scholarship at an esports supporting college, or some tournament winnings in the future. Another parent, Adrian Luff, hopes that his kids too will turn their passion into a career: “They can fund my retirement”. He’s paid for lessons for his three sons aged 7, 9, and 11, and says he understands their desire to be better as he works at Twitch, the number one platform for live streaming Fortnite. And some parents have even copped to getting Fortnite coaching themselves, in an attempt to keep up with their kids, such as JD Giles, who said his $45 investment was paying off. “Within one week, I actually got a solo win. The other dads I play with congratulated me. I earned a little credibility with my son and his friends – and my wife and daughter made fun of me.” For the coaches themselves, it is a lucrative and enjoyable way of earning some extra cash. 18 year old Logan Werner, who plays professionally for ‘Gankstars’, has started taking commissions for Fortnite tutelage. “It’s really surreal to me. My dad would have never paid for me to take video game lessons.” The coaches are hired out via social media or websites such as Gamer Sensei and Bidvine. The latter said 1,400 Fortnite coaches have been hired through their site since March. Source: WSJ

  • Palworld-like survival shooter comes to Fortnite Creative – Dexerto

Palworld-like survival shooter comes to Fortnite Creative Twitter: @thomasjankyA Fortnite Creative developer has brought the popular game Palworld to Fortnite through a shooter-survival mode. Palworld is one of the hottest and fastest-growing games to be released in 2024. It recently surpassed 19 million players with over 12 million downloads on Steam and another 7 million on Xbox. With Palworld taking over the gaming scene, a Fortnite creator named Tom Jank has made it their mission to bring a taste of Palworld into the third-person shooter through a Creative Island. Fortnite’s Creative has changed how players explore the world by allowing creators to make custom maps, islands, and more. Fortnite recently announced that they will change the Creative experience by adding an in-game reporting system. This will allow islands with NSFW content to be punished and moderated more accurately. Palworld comes to Fortnite Creative Jank used Fortnite dinos to resemble Pals from Palworld, which take a similar form to Pokémon. These dinos come in different colors and will storm the player on the Creative Island. The player’s goal is to shoot the ‘Pals’ and survive as many waves as possible. Jank wanted to emphasize that the mini-game he is creating is not associated with Palworld. He told Dexerto that he wanted to raise awareness of some of the other Fortnite Creative creators who have been using the title to garner traction for their games. “Morning Warmup: I wanted to spend the morning learning about IK retargeting and the NPC device,” said Jank. “Very fun! How many dinos do you think you could survive?” Jank told Dexerto that this will be a mini-game in an upcoming Fortnite experience that he is creating and that a trailer will be published in the first part of February. Until then, fans will have to watch and learn what the new mini-game is all about.

  • Oversized phone, big piano, and giant dancing fish trophy locations for Fortnite Season 9 challenge – Dexerto

Oversized phone, big piano, and giant dancing fish trophy locations for Fortnite Season 9 challenge Epic GamesThe second week of v9.01 update for the popular battle royale title officially dropped on Wednesday, May 15, and saw the introduction of the new Tactical Assault Rifle weapon, alongside a much-requested nerf for the Drum Gun. Just one day later, fans of the game will have a brand new set of seven weekly challenges to complete, with each Battle Star crucial for those hoping to rank up their Battle Pass and earn the rewards for all 100 tiers. One of Week Two’s challenges requires players to visit three large items which have been scattered across the game’s map. If you’re struggling to find the oversized phone, big piano or giant dancing fish, here’s a handy guide that should point you in the right direction. How to complete Fortnite Battle Royale’s “Visit an oversized phone, a big piano and a giant dancing fish trophy” challenge Where can you find an oversized phone? This challenge is divided up into three sections, although thankfully they don’t need to be completed in a specific order to earn your Battle Stars. First up, players need to visit one of the giant telephones that were introduced by Epic Games last season. In Season 8, players needed to use the phone to call one of the fast food restaurants that feature in the game, but this time all you need to do is visit one. 800These phones have remained on the game’s map since their introduction, and thankfully there are multiple phones on the island, so if you want to go the closest one based on the flight of the Battle Bus, you can use this map to locate it. 700Where is the big piano in Fortnite Battle Royale? To find the giant piano, which is the second part of this challenge, head to the eastern side of the map, and specifically head south-west of Lonely Lodge towards the hero’s house which sits just on the shoreline. Sitting on top of a hill between the two is a giant piano. Walk over to it, and you should receive a notification that you have completed another section of the challenge. Visit the giant dancing fish trophy Finally, players need to visit the giant dancing fish trophy to complete this challenge and earn all five Battle Stars. Fans of the game may remember that the dancing fish trophy used to be on the front of one of the shops at Retail Row, but following the volcano eruption in Season 8, Mega Mall now sits on the location that the fan-favorite area used to sit. Now, the giant dancing fish trophy sits wedged into the roof of one of the houses to the south of Mega Mall. The building isn’t hard to miss thanks to the giant fish sticking out of the top of it, so build your way up there and finish the challenge. Once you have completed all three parts, you will be rewarded with five Battle Stars, and well on your way to the 5000 XP reward you get for completing four of the seven challenges.

  • Over 30 new Fortnite fish types could be coming in Season 3 – Dexerto

Over 30 new Fortnite fish types could be coming in Season 3 Epic GamesOver 30 new fish have been found in Fortnite’s game files, indicating that the mechanic is getting a major overhaul in Season 3. On top of the new species, a new Fishing String item has been uncovered, and new achievements pertaining to fishing. Fishing could be getting totally overhauled in Fortnite in Season 3. While the mechanic has been in the game since the start of Chapter 2, it’s kind of stagnated in the last couple of months. With no new fish infiltrating the ocean, despite the map being flooded at the start of Season 3, there’s no real appeal to throwing out a line — or a harpoon. However, that could change in just a few weeks. Fortnite dataminers have discovered over 30 new types of fish deep in the game’s files. They include new variations of Floppers, Slurpfish, and Small Fries, as well as other fish yet to be added in any capacity. This includes some jellyfish-like creatures and pufferfish, which could soon be washing up on the shores of Fortnite. Some of the fish will also spawn in different areas of the map, much like real life. There’s a lot of new fish there, so it could just be that some are reskins with no real purpose other than being a different color. However, dataminer HYPEX pointed out some new statistics for healing, duration, and radius that could indicate each individual fish will do something different. Some new variables: Fire & Hop Flopper.Heal = 15 Fire & Hop Flopper.Duration = 20secFlopperShield.Heal = 50 Default.FlopperJellyFish.Heal = 50 FlopperJellyFish.Radius = 500FlopperThermal.Heal = 15 FlopperThermal.Duration = 20secFlopperMiniGame.SizePercentileThreshold: 0.5 — HYPEX (@HYPEX) August 5, 2020 There’s also a new fishing rod titled “Fishing String” in the files that players can use to catch their feed. New achievements and stats are also on the way, showcasing that Epic is committed to making fishing more enjoyable in Season 4, if not Season 3. The increased variety is sure to please a lot of players. It adds a bit more value to fishing than just casting a line and farming Floppers. You could snatch a game-changing catch with one of these new specimens coming soon. Fishing Strings added in v13.40: – First Catch! – New! – No. # – Personal Best! – # cm – Requires pro fishing rodFishing Details in this thread: — iFireMonkey (@iFireMonkey) August 5, 2020 There’s no indication on when such a change will land. Just because it’s in the game files after Patch v13.40 doesn’t mean it’ll come on v13.50. Sometimes it takes Epic weeks, months, or even seasons to add new content. Just look at the release of cars recently. One thing is for sure though. Fishing in Fortnite is about to get a whole lot more interesting.

Almost 300,000 Fortnite fans vote on state of controversial update in Ninja poll Ninja, Twitch / Epic GamesFortnite’s v8.20 update is catching a lot of flak from the game’s player base, including popular Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, who created a divisive poll on the subject via Twitter – with a landslide result. Ninja’s poll, created on March 30, asked players if they would rather Epic Games revert the state of Fortnite before its latest v8.20 update or keep the changes, instead. “Regarding the latest Fortnite patch… revert or don’t revert,” Ninja wrote. “If you vote don’t, please reply why.” Regarding the latest fortnite patch… revert or dont revert. Read More: How to get Fortnite’s new Lava Legends pack – Arguments for keeping the update were largely related to Fortnite’s long-term sustainability, with some fans arguing that Epic needs to implement big changes in order to keep the game fresh. The removal of this feature, alongside lowering the amount of materials dropped from eliminated players, incited a wave of backlash from the Fortnite community. “One day game developers will realize that you can’t protect noobs from getting bopped,” TSM’s Daequan said of the issue on Twitter. “You add ranked, people will smurf. You separate casual and ranked, ppl will just go bot farm in casuals. You try to change game mechanics to save them, you ruin your game.” One day game developers will realize that you can’t protect noobs from getting bopped. You add ranked, people will smurf. Commentator and streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop had a similar take on the title, thrashing the changes in a hilarious Tweet where he claimed that he had a nightmare about Epic’s update. Had the worst nightmare ever last night: I was playing Fortnite and they removed the health per kill, materials per kill, and faster farming rates in public games… I know. Terrifying. I wasn’t able to go back to sleep for a couple hours after waking up. — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) March 28, 2019 While Epic have yet to speak out on the backlash, they confirmed a new, mini-battle royale mode for the title, although no date for this addition has been revealed.

OpTic’s Maniac Gives His Perspective on the Fortnite Keyboarding Controversy Nick ‘OpTic MaNiaC’ Kershner is the latest to weigh in on the debate about keyboard and mouse being allowed on console versions of Fortnite. In a series of tweets, OpTic MaNiaC disagreed with Epic’s stance on allowing keyboard use and is looking for an apology from those who misunderstood his initial comments. Kershner defended his earlier comments that implied people were using keyboards on consoles, but clarified that his issue is with Epic allowing it and not with the players using it. My only tweets regarding this… Never said anyone cheated. I heard someone was using a keyboard and mouse on ps4 and it was ALLOWED… Let’s make it clear, the only thing I don’t agree with is being able to use keyboard and mouse on ps4 I said I would do the same thing 1/2 — Nick Kershner (@OpTicMaNiaC) July 21, 2018 Has nothing to do with that particular person Just the rule set (keyboard being allowed) Also, there’s no evidence a keyboard and mouse was even used (idk how you’d even gather evidence), but if anything I just wanna watch the kids gameplay Now apologize to me 2/2 — Nick Kershner (@OpTicMaNiaC) July 21, 2018 The controversy started with unfounded claims against iDropz_Bodies, the winner of Fortnite’s $500,000 Week 2 Summer Skirmish. He was not streaming his matches due to an apparent lack of a PC setup, which led established pros to question the legitimacy of his performance. The accusations involved iDropz_Bodies cancelling out of unfavorable matches, having friends feed him kills and using a third party adapter to get a mouse on console. Epic investigated and found no wrongdoing in the victory, however they clarified that even if iDropz_Bodies was using a mouse, it would not be considered illegal. • OpTic’s CouRage Pulls Off an Incredible 1v3 While Being Trapped Inside of a Basement in Fortnite – Dexerto

OpTic’s CouRage Pulls Off an Incredible 1v3 While Being Trapped Inside of a Basement in Fortnite The beauty of Fortnite: Battle Royale, and a major reason why it has become such a gaming phenomenon, is the fact that it offers players a wide range of opportunities to produce incredible moments. The game’s unique mechanics and style give players the chance to demonstrate their mastery in various ways and in difficult situations. One such player is OpTic Gaming content creator Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, who can be found playing and streaming Fortnite on Twitch on a daily basis. CouRage, who often jokingly boasts of his top tier Fortnite abilities, in fact produced a moment of magic when he survived an insane 1v3 situation in-game. Trapped in the basement of one of the houses, CouRage had only two golden pistols to work with against the three enemy players that were surrounding him. After hitting some impressive shots to knock down the first two, he improvised against the third by using a Boogie Bomb to incapacitate him and then hitting two, well-aimed shots with his Hand Cannon. Read More: OpTic Gaming Could End Up Using Its Current Players for Fortnite Esports – “We have at least 20 superstars that would all CRUSH the game.” – After finally eliminated all three players, CouRage let out a loud roar of jubilation that can only be inspired by single-handedly defeating a team in Fortnite. The sequence altogether was quite remarkable, considering that he had only pistols to work with, was trapped in a tight space, had three players all trying to eliminate him, and he even had the audacity to use a Boogie Bomb.

  • OpTic’s CouRage sings hilarious Fortnite themed “Country Roads” song for Fall Skirmish challenge – Dexerto

OpTic’s CouRage sings hilarious Fortnite themed “Country Roads” song for Fall Skirmish challenge OpTic Gaming content creator Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop used his strong sense of humor to his advantage in the Fall Skirmish week two Trials. One of the eight challenges in this week’s Fall Skirmish Trials was called ‘Club Anthem,’ which required participants to submit an “awesome anthem” for their respective Club. CouRage, who is a member of the Lucky Llamas, decided to use John Denver’s iconic country song “Take Me Home, Country Roads” for his submission. However, the popular streamer changed the lyrics up quite a bit, with his rendition full of references to Fortnite, the Fall Skirmish, and most importantly, the Lucky Llamas. CouRage was fully invested in his submission, as he wore a plaid shirt and white hat. His facial expressions and movements while singing were spectacular, and should make his anthem one of the favorites to place high in the competition. CouRage and his fans will have to wait another day to find out whether this rendition of “Country Roads” was good enough to be one of the winners of the challenge. A panel of judges will look over all of the submissions, and the winners will be revealed during the broadcast of the Fall Skirmish week three tournament on October 5. About the Fortnite Fall Skirmish Week Two Trials The weekly trials for this week’s Fortnite Fall Skirmish was called ‘Spin and Win,’ which featured eight different challenges picked via a spinning wheel. After each spin, members of all five Clubs had a set amount of time to complete each challenge faster and better than the other Clubs. For details and videos on each of the eight challenges, visit our Week Two Trials hub here.

  • OpTic’s CouRage Hilariously Tries to Escape the Storm in Fortnite Using the New Shopping Carts but Things Don’t Go as Planned – Dexerto

OpTic’s CouRage Hilariously Tries to Escape the Storm in Fortnite Using the New Shopping Carts but Things Don’t Go as Planned While it is true that “being lucky is better than being good,” there is nothing worse than being unlucky, especially in the world of Fortnite: Battle Royale. Occasionally, even the best of Fortnite players can find themselves stung by relentless bad luck, which can sometimes lead to hilarious situations. Such is the case for OpTic Gaming content creator Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, whose Twitch streams primarily focus around the popular Battle Royale title. Despite being an avid fan of Fortnite, and a decent player at that, he tends to find himself on the wrong side of unfortunate situations, often with comical results. CouRage was streaming Fortnite earlier on May 30th when he found himself in a difficult in-game situation – he was stuck in the Storm, which was inflicting heavy damage because the match was in its final stages. He realized that his only chance of surviving was to use one of the new, interactive Shopping Carts to drive himself out and into safety. While initially he made it out with barely any health points left, when he tried to position a Jump Pad, he accidentally began steering the Shopping Cart again, rolling straight back into the Storm, which ate up the little health he had left and eliminated him. Stunned, he tweeted out the clip of the entire sequence and his subsequent reaction, with a sarcastic caption that pretty much summed everything up. “Everyone is posting their cool Shopping Cart clips from the new Fortnite update… Here is mine.’ His crazy reaction after getting eliminated is both hilarious and appropriate for someone who had just died in-game the way he did. While most players will likely have fond memories of their first experience with the new Shopping Carts in Fortnite, CouRage will always have this debacle to look back on.

  • OpTic’s CouRage Has a Theory on Why Epic Games is Bringing Back the Rare ‘Red Knight’ Skin in Fortnite – Dexerto

OpTic’s CouRage Has a Theory on Why Epic Games is Bringing Back the Rare ‘Red Knight’ Skin in Fortnite The Fortnite community was sent into a frenzy on July 4th when Epic Games announced that it plans on bringing back the rare ‘Red Knight’ skin to the Item Shop. The skin has become a rare collectible of sorts since it has only appeared in the Item Shop a handful of times, the last time being on February 20th. OpTic Gaming content creator Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, who live-streams Fortnite on a daily basis, tweeted out his theory on why Epic decided to bring back the rare skin. According to him, it’s to give new players opportunities to own skins as well as to limit illegal account selling and scams. Red Knight returning means that I truly think it is only a matter of time before every “rare skin” returns to the shop. It follows how Epic Games wants Fortnite to be inclusive. Gives the new players a chance to have legendary items. Also, removes the account selling scams. — OpTic CouRage (@CouRageJD) July 4, 2018 Both parts of CouRage’s theory make sense; these “rare” cosmetic items were not earned by players but rather purchased and therefore the number of times they have featured in the Item Shop should not determine their rarity and thus limit newer players from owning them. This especially applies to the Red Knight, which Epic have confirmed was not a Season 2 exclusive and would end up returning to the game at some point. As for account selling and scams, this move by Epic would certainly help in their efforts to stop illegal activity being conducted on secondary markets. Players have been known to spend hundreds of dollars to purchase accounts that have rare items, such as the Red Knight, and in many cases have been scammed. It remains to be seen whether Epic will continue to employ this type of strategy, especially when it comes to earlier skins like the Ghoul Trooper, which is widely considered to be the rarest in the game.

  • OpTic Hitch correctly predicted the future of Fortnite seven months ago – Dexerto

OpTic Hitch correctly predicted the future of Fortnite seven months ago It turns out that OpTic Gaming’s Davis ‘Hitch’ Edwards might know something we don’t about Fortnite – after his prediction for the game back in March turned out to be spot on come October. On October 24, Epic Games launched ‘Fortnitemares’ in the battle royale mode, which is a special event across all modes for Halloween, which features Zombie like creatures called ‘Cube Monsters’. These monsters will attack you in battle royale, spawning from cube fragments found around the map, and will reward you with shield and a chance of loot when you take them out. For about a week before Fortnitemares launched, fans were trying to piece together the teasers that had dropped, but it turns out that Epic’s plans for Halloween in Fortnite were more predictable than they may have thought. More: Pro Fortnite players aren’t happy about the latest update in Fortnite ahead of $2.6 million event at TwitchCon – On March 30, Hitch Tweeted: “Imagine around halloween time Epic adds a special game where you spawn into a BR game on an infested Fortnite map. It’s dark and has zombies from Save The World.” And as if his description could not be any more accurate to the Fortnitemares event, he even predicted that they would be lootable once you kill them – exactly how they have been implemented. It’s dark and has zombies from Save The World that you can kill and loot or run from while trying to survive and win BR. pic.twitter.com/4rClcSnV61 — davis. (@OpTicHitch) March 30, 2018 After someone dug up Hitch’s old tweet, it was shared around on social media, even making it to the top of the Fortnite Battle Royale Reddit page. Hitch himself apologized to competitive players for his bold prediction which turned out true, as the $2.6 million Fall Skirmish tournament will now take place with these Cube Monsters in play. i’d like to apologize to all of the competitive Fortnite players for this https://t.co/qwJvE3Tnuf — davis. (@OpTicHitch) October 24, 2018 The Fortnite community and competitive players reacted to Hitch’s spooky prediction, including OpTic Gaming’s own pro Fortnite player Marz. Former OpTic member Pamaj, now of FaZe, thinks Hitch may have been in on the Fortnitemares event from the very beginning – and if so, what else could he possible know? The Fortnitemares event is in full swing across all modes in Fortnite, and while most players are enjoying the temporary game play switch up, there are concerns that it will impact the competitive integrity of the Fall Skirmish finale. Perhaps, given his powers of prediction, Hitch will pick wisely next time he wants to see a change come in to Fortnite – maybe next he should predict the return of Season 2?

  • OpTic Gaming’s CouRage Picks Up Another Incredible Impulse Grenade Victory Royale on Fortnite – Dexerto

OpTic Gaming’s CouRage Picks Up Another Incredible Impulse Grenade Victory Royale on Fortnite OpTic Gaming content creator Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop won yet another Fortnite Battle Royale game with a flourish using his favorite item, the Impulse Grenade. CouRage moved on from his position as a CWL commentator with MLG for a new opportunity with OpTic Gaming in March, and he has been streaming and uploading to YouTube religiously ever since. His game of choice for most of that content has been Fortnite Battle Royale, the immensely popular Epic Games title that seems to have taken over the world in 2018. His favorite item in the game is undoubtedly the Impulse Grenade, a grenade which sends out a shockwave on detonation and launches players into the air, which has led to numerous hilarious fails and some spectacular Victory Royales. Read More: New Information Suggests the Fortnite Battle Royale Refund System Will Return Sooner Than Thought – Taking to Twitter on May 23rd, the popular entertainer shared a stream highlight where the use of an Impulse Grenade had one of those “spectacular” results as he won a game in incredible fashion. In a 1 vs. 1 with a player that seemed to have absolutely no idea what was going on, CouRage built up to an incredible height and Impulse Grenaded himself off of the top before dive bombing his opponent and finishing them off with one quick Pump Shotgun shot in mid-air. I’ll tell her myself… #Fortnite pic.twitter.com/UnVw7Pk1mj — OpTic CouRage (@CouRageJD) May 23, 2018 The OpTic man’s reaction was appropriately excited but this was just one of many insane plays that he has been making of late. If we didn’t know any better, we’d say that CouRage is trying to prove that he is “OpTic Pro Fortnite Team” calibre. But seriously, CouRage definitely thinks he’s going to go pro on Fortnite and we’re running out of arguments to go against that suggestion.

  • OpTic Gaming Fortnite team disbands as remaining players released – Dexerto

OpTic Gaming Fortnite team disbands as remaining players released North American esports organization OpTic Gaming have released the final two remaining players from their Fortnite roster, effectively taking the team out of another battle royale title, at least temporarily. OpTic also disbanded their PUBG team in late 2018, retaining only one player, Michael ‘hypoc’ Robbins as a content creator. The organization has now left a second battle royale game in as many months, releasing both Kenneth ‘Baldy’ Anderson and Stephen ‘Gunfly’ Brown. Baldy and Gunfly had limited success as a duo partnership, placing 50th at the Fall Skirmish and then 38th at their most recent and possibly final tournament together, WSOE 3. Gunfly joined the team in late September, replacing the outgoing Robert ‘WizKay’ Simone, and the young Gunfly was believed to be the next big prospect in competitive Fortnite. On November 28, the other two players on the roster, Marco ‘Marz’ Soto and Dade ‘Dramas’ Lesch left, leaving on Gunfly and Baldy, but their time with the Greenwall has ended similarly. I’ve officially parted ways with @OpTicGaming, left on good terms with no bad blood ️, that being said I’ll be a F/A & looking for an organization to represent. 2019 will be the year. RTs & Vouches will be appreciated. — Gunfly (@Gunfly) January 12, 2019 Parted ways with @OpTicGaming. Huge thanks for everything they did for me :green_heart:. I’ll now be looking for a organization to represent for the fortnite competitive scene. RT’s appreciated. — Kenneth (@OpTicBaldy) January 12, 2019 Following the players’ announcements, Kodiak, Esports director at OpTic parent company Infinite Esports, explained how the situation had unfolded. We were approached by Kenneth (Baldy) and Stephen (Gunfly) and they made it clear to us they wanted to play with other duo partners. Being that we feel strongly about any competitive Fortnite players for OpTic playing as the same duo, we didn’t think it was fair to punish them or stand in the way of what they felt was best for their own success. Essentially giving them the option of staying as one duo or parting ways. They decided to part ways, and we released them from their contracts on good terms all around. We really do wish them nothing but success and are thankful for their maturity and understanding. He also briefly commented on the future plans of OpTic within Fortnite esports. As for OpTic in competitive Fortnite, we will continue to keep a watch on the scene and rising talent, but for the time being will not have players rostered on a competitive team. 2019 is set to be a big year for Fortnite esports, at least in terms of prize money, with the long awaited Fortnite World Cup finally getting underway and a more robust in-game tournament structure announced. In comparison to their rivals like FaZe Clan, TSM and Team Liquid, OpTic have struggled to hit the same heights of player popularity or tournament placings. They will presumably look for an opportunity back in to Fortnite, whereas a return to PUBG esports was all but ruled out.

  • OpTic Gaming announce roster change for their Fortnite pro team, and CEO ‘H3CZ’ explains why – Dexerto

OpTic Gaming announce roster change for their Fortnite pro team, and CEO ‘H3CZ’ explains why North American based esports organization OpTic Gaming have made a roster change within their pro team for Fortnite Battle Royale, and CEO Hector ‘H3CZ’ Rodriguez has provided insight on the decision. In the September 27th episode of OpTic’s Vision series, H3CZ announced that the org had parted ways with Fortnite pro player Robert ‘WizKay’ Simone. who was one of the original members of OpTic’s roster when they first ventured into competitive Fortnite. “We would like to thank WizKay for his time with us on our professional Fortnite team,” OpTic tweeted out. “We wish him the best as he continues his career as a Fortnite professional.” WizKay has been replaced by up-and-comer Stephen ‘Gunfly’ Brown, who has recently established himself as a top competitor in the scene. Gunfly will now be teaming Kenneth ‘BaldyKun’ Anderson, Marco ‘MarkyWap’ Soto, and Dade ‘Dramas’ Lesch for the remainder of the $100 million competitive season. In the episode of Vision, H3CZ explained that this roster change could be what starts turning OpTic into a force in Fortnite esports. “If we concentrate on really really making our team stand out and be competitive, we’re going to have to make certain adjustment,” he said. “I think that this one sort of sets the wheels in motion, we’re serious about Fortnite. We’re very, very serious about it.” H3CZ went on to say that he has learned from his mistakes in the past, especially in regards to OpTic’s Call of Duty team, and knew that he had to get involved if such a promising talent such as Gunfly was available for recruitment. “This one we did discuss, and Gunfly is just too good of a player to pass up,” he explained. “Since the beginning of time, anytime a player of certain caliber is up for grabs, the least thing that we can do is sit down and have a conversation about it.”

  • OpTic Crimsix thinks Epic Games are deliberately making Fortnite less competitive in the name of entertainment – Dexerto

OpTic Crimsix thinks Epic Games are deliberately making Fortnite less competitive in the name of entertainment Epic GamesWhile Fortnite has come under immense scrutiny from sections of the competitive community following the addition of X-4 Stormwing planes and an overpowered Infinity Blade just before the Winter Royale tournament, Ian ‘Crimsix’ Porter has a theory about Epic Games’ strategy. The professional CoD player – who recently placed first with his team OpTic Gaming at the CWL Las Vegas Open 2019 – gave his opinion on the direction of competitive Fortnite during a Twitter exchange with esports consultant Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau. “Epic releasing game changing unbalanced updates the same day of a $1 Million Fortnite esports tournament and forcing players to compete in it is absolutely amateur hour,” Breslau tweeted. Breslau went on to accuse Epic of making so many drastic changes on the eve of such a big tournament on purpose, and Crimsix agrees, claiming that their actions are more strategic than amateur hour. Crimsix believes it is ‘1000% on purpose’, explaining that Epic have conceded that there game will never be recognized as truly competitive, and so are putting all their eggs in one basket, and trying to make it as entertaining as possible. 1000% it’s on purpose. In my opinion, they’ve realized that their game will never be the most competitive, but it can be the most entertaining. So they’re sticking to their guns in that regard. — Ian (@OpTic_Crimsix) December 12, 2018 The two-time World Champion makes a valid point as well. Epic’s decision to add X-4 Stormwing planes and an overpowered Infinity Sword might have ruffled a few feathers, as we’ve seen with recent comments from Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and others of late. But, if it was the developer’s intention to make Fortnite entertaining and unpredictable, they’re certainly succeeding in doing that.

  • One shot meta is back in Fortnite thanks to new weapon – Dexerto

One shot meta is back in Fortnite thanks to new weapon Epic GamesFortnite has just added an all-new weapon from the recent update, which leaves many players concerned due to the amount of damage it deals. The meta in Fortnite is constantly changing, as the game often rolls out updates that shakes up the weapons’ loot pool in addition to adding new ones. In Chapter 5, Season 3 alone, we’ve seen the vehicle meta surfacing the Battle Royale thanks to the addition of Mythic Nitro Cars and countless vehicle mods. But with recent nerfs, combined with the new weapons added from the latest update, some players are convinced that an old “boring” meta is returning. This is mainly due to the addition of the all-new Heavy Impact Sniper weapon, which makes it possible to one-shot your enemies. The Heavy Impact Sniper was just added yesterday, but in a Reddit thread showcasing a clip of what the sniper is capable of doing, some players couldn’t help but express concern. The clip shows that the Heavy Impact Sniper can insta-kill an enemy as soon as they pop their head, reminding many players of what the old dreaded sniper meta felt like. Granted, the weapon has its drawbacks – such as having a slow reload and substantial bullet drop that makes it extremely punishing if you miss your shot – but in the hands of a skilled player or cheater, it can be a nightmare to deal with. One user wrote, “I was happy when they removed 1 shot snipers, now I gotta deal with them again?” “This season is just aiming to piss everyone off huh? They finally get cars to not be absurdly broken, and then they make it so that you can die instantly from any range, with the only counter play being to have a car so they can’t hit you,” a different user mentioned. “Just when I thought we’d have a season WITHOUT a broken Sniper Rifle, wow I’m such an idiot,” another chimed in. Meanwhile, one user claimed that “one shots” in Fortnite are “boring as hell” as there’s no time to react. As with any other weapon, there’s always a chance that this sniper might receive some balance changes. However, players will just have to be patient for now to see what the next update will have in store.

  • One of Fortnite’s most controversial weapons could be back in Season 2 – Dexerto

One of Fortnite’s most controversial weapons could be back in Season 2 Epic GamesFortnite Season 2 has brought a lot of changes to what was the basic foundation of Chapter 2 and now data miners might have uncovered more clues to what weapons are coming out of the vault next. The unvaulting of the good ol’ C4 shows that this season is more, shall we say… explosive, than those in the past, so could we be getting another explosive weapon later on? According to Fortnite data miners we just might, after they found the Guided Missile back in the game files, which was removed from all modes, including Creative, when it saw the inside of the vault in April 2018 just a few weeks after being released. Images of the Guided Missile in Fortnite’s game files was posted to Reddit by user xXCBRYC3Xx, and it certainly seems to depict the familiar shape of the weapon players love to hate. There could be a number of reasons that Epic has added the model back into the game files other than it being added back into the main game. Read More: Ninja slams “awful” Fortnite Season 2 meta – Epic could be adding it back into Creative, or bringing it to the ‘High Explosives’ LTM. The Guided Missile Launcher was a fairly bug-prone weapon when it was in the game, so it will be interesting to see if devs have made any changes to it. A lot of hardcore players have already been complaining about the explosive nature of Chapter 2. There were several Launcher variants in Season 1, and the recently unvaulted C4 is largely considered overpowered in competitive settings. The Guided Missile went through a couple of phases while it was in Fortnite. It was incredibly overpowered when it first came out in March 2018, and as a result, was subsequently nerfed into the ground. Players hardly ever used it after the nerf before it was vaulted for good in April 2018, but it did generate some awesome clips or players riding the missiles. There’s a good chance that the Guided Missile will still be hilariously overpowered if it’s added back into Fortnite, but as long as it’s not getting in the way of competitive, it could be good for some entertaining clips.

  • One of Fortnite’s longest-running glitches is finally being fixed in patch v7.20 – Dexerto

One of Fortnite’s longest-running glitches is finally being fixed in patch v7.20 Fortnite players will be thrilled to hear that a fix has been announced that will hopefully relieve players of a burgeoning problem that’s been in the game for a long time. Epic Games are usually steadfast to fixing bugs infesting various parts of Fortnite, which is why fans were particularly exuberant to find out that a problem as old as the game itself will finally get the attention it deserves. In a screenshot uploaded by Reddit user Daguhh, an Epic Games employee confirmed that ghost shots will be improved upon in the upcoming v7.20 for the battle royale. Ghost shots are a notorious occurrence in fast-pace scenarios after switching from edit functions to firing a gun, only for the bullet to apparently land nowhere. Leaving the player to guess as to what happened. The phenomenon has caused a lot of grief for casual players and pros alike, particularly the latter who see blazing fast movements and decisions being employed just to be let down once a shot is taken. The bug isn’t unique to a new update or recent event either; ghost shots have been routinely seen in the games transcending multiple patch iterations of the game. Can we PLEASE talk about this HUGE problem in Fortnite? Watch this video. pic.twitter.com/HrFvr5j3Qj — LG SypherPK (@SypherPK) December 13, 2018 Although no timetable for v7.20 was given, fans rejoiced at the news and were even more excited for the implications that the fix would have for the competitive side of Fortnite. This also follows more welcome news from Epic about a major improvement being made to walls that are built on uneven ground and water. The game’s v7.20 update is shaping up to be cause for massive relief among fans with other crucial fixes reportedly on the way.

  • One Fortnite location is giving players “god mode” and it’s too easy – Dexerto

One Fortnite location is giving players “god mode” and it’s too easy Epic GamesA bizarre glitch with vehicles and Stashes has been found in Fortnite Season 4, which is seemingly giving players “god mode” in-game. Since the start of Season 4, Fortnite players have been eager to check out all of the Marvel-themed changes and unlock new superhero (and superhero-adjacent) characters such as Thor, Groot, and more. However, a strange exploit has also been found following the latest update, which is seemingly giving players “god mode” in-game and ruining matches in Season 4. This unusual exploit, which is done by glitching in and out of a vehicle, apparently allows players to shake off any damage dealt by their opponents and can be quite frustrating to deal with. Popular Fortnite YouTuber Glitch King revealed that it could only be done in areas with a Stash, adding that the drive-in theater west of Frenzy Farm was the best spot for this new exploit. The content creator explained that it could be done by destroying the Stash just before jumping into it, causing your character to glitch when entering a nearby vehicle. However, while those who do the glitch are immune to all bullets and explosive damage, they can still be killed off by the storm, meaning that it is not without its counters. It is also worth noting that once your Fortnite character is stuck in this exploit, you can not walk around and will have to rely on the vehicle to move around the map. Although Glitch King used a car for his attempt, he also claimed that players could get the same results from a Choppa. Once the glitched vehicle that you are driving is destroyed, your character will simply float up in the air, as highlighted by Glitch King. As of now, Epic Games has yet to address this unusual “god mode” exploit but will likely be looking to patch it in a future update.

  • One Fortnite item is a must-have to “stand a chance” in Chapter 5 Season 4 – Dexerto

One Fortnite item is a must-have to “stand a chance” in Chapter 5 Season 4 Epic GamesFortnite players recommend having this particular item if you want to “stand a chance” to get that sweet Victory Royale in Chapter 5 Season 4. Fortnite players may have waved their goodbyes to the vehicle meta, but Chapter 5 Season 4 has brought yet another devastating one. This is all thanks to the introduction of new weapons and items in the Battle Royale. Sure, some of the loot pool has already been tweaked to balance things out. But with spawn rates for certain items and weapons being nerfed, securing a Victory Royale can be even tougher when you’re fighting with other players to get to the final circle without the optimal loadout. According to players in a Reddit thread, there’s one item you’ll need to have in Chapter 5, Season 4 if you want to make it out alive: the War Machine’s Hover Jets. As described by one user, it’s the “only requirement” to get to the endgame. They explained, “If you have a jetpack and at least a green spray weapon and shotgun, you stand a chance.” War Machine’s Hover Jets was one of the items nerfed. However, as it turns out, despite that being the case, many other players agreed it’s still viable. “I died to someone last night because I didn’t have a jetpack. Usually, I’m okay admitting when someone is better than me, but after seeing that person come across real players with the same items, I knew I was better. It’s just really hard when they have height and are able to shotgun, dash, repeat,” commented one user. “If you have no jetpack, you are absolutely f****ed,” one chimed in. Meanwhile, one user pointed out that while the jetpack is necessary, it can be a “detriment” as your aim has to be on point while using it. That said, this is exactly what makes it so good when combined with Captain America’s shield, as you can dash and throw the shield in the enemy’s general direction.

  • Old-school Fortnite players claim Creative mode “ruined” the game – Dexerto

Old-school Fortnite players claim Creative mode “ruined” the game Fortnite / Epic GamesLongtime Fortnite fans have blamed the introduction of Creative 2.0 to the game for “ruining” the game, and leading to the removal of fan-favorite classic LTMs. Even though various Fortnite modes and maps exist in creative mode, these fan-made creations have been increasingly criticized over time as they fail to be as popular amongst the original fans who have been around since the first season. Creative allows players to make their own maps and modes for the community to enjoy and get feedback using the in-game Unreal Editor. On August 21, countless fans gave their opinions in response to a X/Twitter post claiming “creative ruined Fortnite.” Fortnite players cry out for LTMs to return The post showed a comparison of the old Limited Time Modes that were previously removed by Epic Games in place of Creative mode as hundreds flooded in to give their opinions. The general consensus agreed with this view as well. “It should never be the game’s main focus nor its future,” the author of the post said. “It’s definitely no replacement for LTMs made by professionals who know what they’re doing,” Another responded. The classic LTM feature gave players alternate game modes to enjoy instead of the main battle royale mode for a limited time. Many fans expressed that they don’t play Creative Mode at all in comparison. “I used to play the official LTM of that week, now I just log off.” One said. However, others see a place for both modes. “We just need LTMs back and that’s it, creative is fun if you find the right map.” A fan said. Limited-time modes had long been a fan-favorite in Fortnite, however ever since the developers removed them to allow fans to create their own in Creative they have not been as popular. There has been no word about LTMs returning in Fortnite, however Epic looks to be returning to its roots in different ways in Season 4 Chapter 4 when it releases on August, 25.

  • Old Fortnite player finally gets “stolen” account back 6 years later – Dexerto

Old Fortnite player finally gets “stolen” account back 6 years later Epic GamesA Fortnite player eventually got their account back six years later after “pestering” Epic Games support, but soon noticed it was missing years worth of iconic skins. OG Fortnite accounts over time have increasingly become prized possessions due to them typically being filled with rare skins from the first few seasons. However, this has led to a rise in hackers stealing players’ Epic accounts and them never getting them back. Despite this, Fortnite player Meddel5 revealed they have been one of the lucky ones by sharing their story via the FortniteBR Reddit, “To the person who stole my account over 6 years ago: I finally got it back, jerk.” The OG player shared an in-game screenshot showcasing some of the rarest skins in the game they had re-gained access to. This included Rogue Agent, which we’ve ranked as the third rarest skin, and The Reaper Outfit, famously based on John Wick. This naturally spawned a string of questions from players in the community, with many sharing similar experiences and issues. “Had they unlocked any new skins these past 6 years?” posed one. “NO, they couldn’t even be cool and unlock the free ones, smh, useless,” the OG replied. “Why did it take so long to get back?” asked another, to which the OG replied: “Tbh I thought it was gone for good for the longest time, they refused to help initially so I thought I was just SOL.” Another added: “Persistence pays off! Glad you finally got it back. Now, time to celebrate in-game!” “How’d you get it back? I want to get my account back too,” one more asked. “Pester Epic support, eventually a decent rep will send a verification email to the original email the account was created with, that’ll get the ball rolling,” Meddel5 replied. If you are having issues with accessing your Fortnite account, you can contact Epic Games support to help you regain access. Once you have received your account back, you can also check to see if you are eligible to claim a refund after Fortnite’s settlement with the FTC in 2022. According to the lawsuit, Epic must pay $245 million in refunds over the use of “dark patterns” to trick players into unintentionally buying in-game goods.

  • Old Fortnite player baffled after being rewarded rare skins years later – Dexerto

Old Fortnite player baffled after being rewarded rare skins years later Epic GamesOne Fortnite player returned to the game after years of not playing and to their surprise was given a whole heap of rare classic skins and cosmetics completely free. Fortnite has come back in a major way by adding a whole heap of original chapter 1 content through their Season OG update on November 3, 2023. With record breaking amounts of new and returning players dropping into the Battle Royale island, players have been loving the nostalgic trip back to the game’s roots. Despite Epic Games announcing Season OG is finally coming to a close with its music-themed The Big Bang in-game event, players have still been flooding in to reminisce in the nostalgia. One player in particular has been left shocked after they logged into their Fortnite account following years of not playing to discover Epic Games has rewarded them various classic rare skins and cosmetics. OG Fortnite player returns after years to discover rare skins Old Fortnite player Reginof99 took to Reddit with their suprising discovery, as they showed that they had been rewarded several cosmetics items. “Logged in to Fortnite after years and received these. Is it a bug or were they given to everyone who didn’t manage to unlock the styles in time?” Reginof99 posted. The rewards contained various classic Chapter 1 skins, styles and pickaxes that were given to the player free of charge, such as the iconic Lynx Stage 3 outfit style, which was part of Season 7’s Battle Pass. One commented: “Bro opened a time capsule,” as the player responded: “Yeah basically, I haven’t touched fortnite in almost 4 years!” “Came from OG fortnite straight to new OG fortnite like nothing happened in between,” a player said, as the author explained further: “I stopped playing during Season 7 (Chapter 1), right after Call of Duty Black Ops 4 came out.” Many tried to provide the reasoning behind the cosmetics being gifted so long after, especially as the player revealed they had never unlocked them originally. “Probably was granted to your account when XP changed with Chapter 2. XP was way different back in Chapter 1,” one suggested, as other old returning players revealed they too had been rewarded classic skins. Fortnite Season OG is finally coming to an end as the game heads into Chapter 5 with the upcoming The Big Bang live event and three Eminem skins.

  • Old Fortnite Battle Pass skins could finally be returning but there’s a catch – Dexerto

Old Fortnite Battle Pass skins could finally be returning but there’s a catch Epic GamesAccording to a recent rumor, Disney is working on “solutions” to bring characters from previous Battle Passes back to Fortnite. On August 7, Epic Games confirmed that future Battle Pass skins might arrive in the Item Shop after 18 or more months, leading the community to celebrate Fortnite finally stepping away from exclusivity and FOMO tactics. This essentially means that it only applies to new Battle Passes onward. However, according to a rumor posted by leaker SamLeakss on X, Disney is apparently working on “solutions” for certain Battle Pass exclusive characters to return, even when they were only available in the past. “Disney is working on solutions for characters such as Darth Vader and Iron Man to return to Fortnite, with New Outfits‼️ Disney also pushed for the deal to allow future Battle Passes to no longer be deemed exclusive!” the post reads. For the uninitiated, Darth Vader had a skin that was released in the Chapter 3, Season 3 Battle Pass, while the latter goes back further to being exclusive in Chapter 2, Season 4. Assuming that this leak is accurate, players who didn’t play back then could eventually get the chance to play as these characters. But there’s a catch. With the rumor mentioning these returning as “new outfits,” it’s possible that these skins will be getting new variants, while those who played in the previous seasons get to keep their OG styles. Additionally, this also likely means that returning Battle Pass characters will only apply to Disney’s IPs, leaving DC skins and others in the dark. Nonetheless, while there’s no official word from Epic yet, players are already excited to welcome this change in the comments in case it really does come true. “I hope so, they would make lots of money! Disney is being smart. Give the community what we want too!” praised one user. “That’s a W,” commented one user. Meanwhile, another wrote: “Iron Man feels like it has a much easier solution than Vader (just do a later suit from Infinity War, Endgame, etc), but I’ll be interested to see what the solution is.” As this is just a rumor, do take all the information with a grain of salt until there’s official confirmation from Epic Games.

  • Factories Near the Old Dusty Depot in Fortnite Could Be Coming Back Soon – Dexerto

Factories Near the Old Dusty Depot in Fortnite Could Be Coming Back Soon An old fan-favorite location could be making its way back soon to the world of Fortnite Battle Royale. There are in-game indications that the factories that were originally near Dusty Depot (now called Dusty Divot) could be in the process of being rebuilt. A Reddit user by the name of ‘FaZe-Okunola‘ posted a screenshot he took from the game showing several new trucks that appeared at Dusty Divot after the v5.1.0 Update, which went live on July 24. As the user points out, the items on these trucks, and the trucks themselves, all resemble the ones found in the original factories. Boys… the factories had two toilets, trucks and some pallets… is this what we think it is? Since the start of Season 4, Epic Games has updated the map in various ways on nearly a weekly basis, which makes the prospect of the factories being built throughout Season 5 a considerable possibility. Judging from the overwhelmingly positive and excited comments to the Reddit post, it appears that the player-base would be more than happy to see the iconic landmark on the map once again. Often referred to as simply “factories,” the nameless location was one of the more popular areas on the map, as players often either landed there or stopped on their way by. However, the location was destroyed at the end of Season 3, when a large meteor struck the area and created a large crater, turning Dusty Depot in Dusty Divot.

From the battle pass to the alien artifacts, there’s plenty of fun to be had this season. Speaking of fun, while we’ve been missing the wacky clips that Fortnite used to produce on a daily basis, a new Reddit post has hit home to some fans and has reminded us that Fortnite is still one of the best games to produce memorable clips. Fortnite clip goes viral From time to time we see some pretty crazy scenarios happen in games, but this Fortnite clip may take the prize for the funniest video we’ve seen from Season 7 since it released back on June 17. Then, there’s a UFO spinning on it’s axis, and as they say in the clip it’s actually identical to how a Beyblade works. Wrapping this all up, we have the four players giving some comedic relief, as the post is pretty wild from all perspectives. Funny right? • Number of players concurrently playing Fortnite has reached insane heights – Dexerto

Number of players concurrently playing Fortnite has reached insane heights The number of players who are concurrently playing Fortnite Battle Royale has reached unbelievable new levels. According to a statement put out by Epic Games Korea CEO Sung Chul Park, a whopping 8.3 million people worldwide are simultaneously playing the popular BR title. This figure is more than double the total number of concurrent players recorded in February, which was 3.4 million at the time. There are certainly several distinguishable factors that have played a key part in this meteoric rise of the concurrent player count. One was the recent Butterfly Event, a one-time worldwide event which players had to queue into a match at a specific time to experience in-game. While the number of users during the event has not been reported, there were 1.5 million who watched it live on Twitch and another 2.1 million on YouTube. This drastic rise in the concurrent player count comes at the heels of a very successful August for Fortnite, which Epic Games are reporting was their biggest month yet in terms of users. Reports reveal that Fortnite had over 78.3 million players across all platforms during the month of August. Although the highest number of downloads in a single month is still 100 million, this figure is the highest total of active users ever over the course of a month. It’s clear that Fortnite’s popularity continues to rise, and the statistics are backing that up. Despite the release of Call of Duty’s new Blackout battle royale mode, it appears that Fortnite has remained unscathed, even when many had predicted that Blackout would put a hurt on Fortnite’s numbers. • NRG’s Zayt retires from pro Fortnite again after short return to action – Dexerto

NRG’s Zayt retires from pro Fortnite again after short return to action NRG / Epic GamesNRG’s Williams ‘Zayt’ Aubin has announced his retirement from professional Fortnite, just 3 months after he returned to the scene and began to compete again. With Fortnite’s incredible growth from 2017 onwards, a whole new host of esports stars emerged as the game’s competitive scene took shape. We’ve seen incredible rises from pros like Benjyfishy, Bizzle, and Bugha, who was just 16 when he took home the Fortnite World Cup’s $3m grand prize. Another is Zayt, who has established himself as one of the world’s best players, especially in Duos alongside Rocco ‘Saf’ Morales. The pair took home first place back in 2019’s Katowice Royale, winning $80,000. This was followed up by a fourth-place finish in the World Cup’s Duos competition, winning them $1.5 million. Despite these successes, he announced his intentions to move away from competitive Fortnite on January 12, 2021. It was followed by a change of heart just a few weeks later though, saying he “missed” competing and wanted to return. However, just a few months on from his initial retirement and return, he has confirmed he will be stepping away from the scene. He explained that the decision has been made so he can enjoy Fortnite viewing parties and focus more on content for Riot Games’ Valorant. For the people that missed the stream, I will go live for every tournament watching EU/NAE and teaching you guys the game/doing viewing party. When there is no tournaments I’ll go live and do an unranked to radiant on Valorant — NRG Zayt (@zayt) April 17, 2021 His org, NRG, announced the retirement on April 17, saying he will go down as one of the game’s “greats”. “Your journey as a player was historic and we can’t wait to support you as an NRG Content Creator,” they tweeted. Today, @zayt once again goes down as one of the Fortnite greats. • NRG’s Zayt is returning to competitive Fortnite after brief retirement – Dexerto

NRG’s Zayt is returning to competitive Fortnite after brief retirement cbc.caNot even three weeks after revealing that he’ll be retiring from playing Fortnite competitively, NRG star William ‘Zayt’ Aubin has had a change of heart, announcing his return to the battle royale’s competitive ranks for the DreamHack Online Open. Few Fortnite players achieved the prominence that Zayt did during his heyday; as a finalist for both the battle royale’s Solos and Duos World Cup finals in 2019, the longtime competitive player is regarded as one of the best the game has ever seen. When he announced his retirement on January 12, the community was stricken with sadness, since Zayt is not only one of the scene’s most recognizable figures, but his outspoken nature also provided reassurance for those wanting Fortnite esports to be at its best. However, on January 30, he revealed his desire to compete again while also announcing his plans to return: “If I didn’t play DreamHack with Benjy I probably wouldn’t be saying that but, I really miss competing already […] With that said, yes I am coming back.” I am at a point where I would regret not competing and wasting my gift for the game. With that said, yes I am coming back, sorry for everyone that I affected negatively. 2/2 — NRG Zayt (@zayt) January 30, 2021 Why did Zayt retire from competitive Fortnite? On January 12, in a brief broadcast on his Twitch channel, Zayt announced that he would no longer be competing in Fortnite: “What I’m going to be doing, which feels really weird to say especially coming from someone like me, is stop competing in Fortnite. I’m going to stop playing tournaments, I’m going to stop playing scrims.” The streamer ultimately attributed his reason for quitting competitive Fortnite to the lack of having fun. He explained that, in the early days of the battle royale, playing with friends was all about having casual fun, and when the competitive side of the game took off, that was replaced with his desire to win and be the best. He highlighted his placements at the World Cup finals (fourth in Duos, 35th in Solos) as one of the major turning points of his career, due to the disappointment of falling short of his ultimate goal, which was to win the event. However, he continued to compete, and even after finally winning the Duos FNCS in Season 2 of Chapter 2, the victory hadn’t fulfilled him the way he’d imagined. Zayt quickly came to the realization that playing the game was no longer fun for him. “One of the worst things in life would be to have regrets. I was telling myself if I quit the game or retire, I’ll regret it forever because the next World Cup or the next big event – that could be me winning it. Basically, I didn’t have fun playing the game and I didn’t have competing or getting better at the game.” Today @zayt goes down as one of the Fortnite greats. Congratulations on an amazing competitive career, and we can’t wait to support you in your next chapter as a coach and NRG content creator. #NRGFam 🔛🔝 pic.twitter.com/O3Fds2vk5Q — NRG (@NRGgg) January 12, 2021 What happens to Zayt’s post-retirement plans? Even before announcing his return, Zayt had made it very clear that he wasn’t completely done with Fortnite – quite the contrary, he planned to continue with NRG as a content creator focusing on the battle royale, while also acting as a coach/analyst and reviewing matches live on his stream. “Before you guys freak out, I’m not leaving NRG, I’m staying in the Fortnite scene,” he said, at the time. “I’m going to become a coach, analyst, mentor type of thing. I’m not going to be a private coach; basically what I’m going to be doing is streaming watching scrims, and when they’re playing, I’m going to explain to you guys what they’re doing and why they’re doing it. It’s not exactly clear how much his new decision to compete in Fortnite again will change these plans; he hasn’t made any comments about whether or not he’ll try to fit in the live coaching and analysis in between his scrims and competitive matches, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

  • NRG’s Clix promises to mature and ‘set an example’ after Fortnite removes his Creator Code – Dexerto

NRG’s Clix promises to mature and ‘set an example’ after Fortnite removes his Creator Code IG: Clix / Epic GamesNRG Fortnite pro Cody ‘Clix’ Conrod has promised to start “setting an example”, after tweets he posted saw Creative maps in his name removed, as well as having his Creator Code taken away from the Fortnite store. At just 16-years-old, Clix has seen him catapulted into stardom thanks to his incredible Fortnite skills. The NRG pro player has accumulated over 1.7 million followers on Twitter, as well as prize money totalling $260,000. However, he has found himself in hot water because of tweets he posted on May 11. In response, Epic Games decided to rescind Clix’s Fortnite Creator Code, as well as remove all Creative maps designed in his name. While he previously expressed his disappointment, he has pledged himself to “set an example” from now on because of his huge following, many of whom will be younger than he is. In a May 16 tweet, he said: “Gonna start being more mature on stream & all social media platforms. Learned a huge lesson about the creator code stuff, I just love f**king around and being myself but with the huge community I have, I need [to] start setting an example.” Gonna start being more mature on stream & all social media platforms. Learned a huge lesson about the creator code stuff, I just love fucking around and being myself but with the huge community I have, I needa start setting an example. — Clix (@Clix) May 16, 2021 In a follow-up post, he commented that he is not seeking to “fake” his personality, merely be more sensible and avoid comments that could affect sponsorships or Epic Games themselves. I’m gonna still b myself i’m not lettin anyone change me or make me fake my personality, just needa stop the stupid overline shit (tweets that’ll affect contracts/epic games etc) — Clix (@Clix) May 16, 2021 “I’m gonna still be myself, I’m not letting anyone change me or make me fake my personality,” he stated, “[I] just need [to] stop the stupid over-line s**t (tweets that’ll affect contracts/Epic Games etc)”. Epic Games have not confirmed the length of the removal of his Creative maps or Creator Code, but Clix has suggested that he hopes both will be reinstated in the future.

  • NRG’s Clix claims he’ll stop hating on Fortnite but fans aren’t convinced – Dexerto

NRG’s Clix claims he’ll stop hating on Fortnite but fans aren’t convinced Epic Games / Instagram: clixCody ‘Clix’ Conrod — professional Fortnite player and member of NRG Esports — shared with his fans that he’s taking a different approach to Epic’s battle royale in Season 6 and will try to avoid toxicity as he reforms his behavior. The professional Fortnite community is notoriously relentless when it comes to issues with the game. Many pro players have spoken out against Epic’s balancing of the game’s meta, and even lackluster prize pools that removed motivation for many players to even compete. Prominent pro player Clix has been someone who’s never shied away from being an outspoken critic, although Season 6 is the perfect time to look on the bright side, which is exactly what he plans to do. On March 19, the NRG player tweeted out “[I’m] reforming, no more toxicity. I love Fortnite and Donald Mustard,” referring to Epic’s ever-present Chief Creative Officer, someone who he’s had issues with in the past (see below). Clix followed up with another positive statement a few hours later: “I’m so f**king happy, I can’t wait till arena resets, the f**king content is going to be insane.” Overall, it’s a positive turn of attitude from the NRG star, after he recently tweeted out that he has “legit no motivation to play this game.” While the sentiments expressed in his tweets were good, the Fortnite community wasn’t sure what to make of his message. Many fans speculated that Clix was seeking to gain favor with Epic so they would coordinate with him to organize his very own ‘Clix Cup’ tournament. Others joked that he was somehow being coerced into making the statement: “Are you sure you’re not being forced to say this? Blink twice next stream if you need help!” The skepticism from the community isn’t without merit. In February, he publicly insulted Mustard on Twitter after the Epic CCO tweeted himself attending Super Bowl LV. The community was highly critical of interaction, many calling the pro out for his words. The fuck is this? How is it funny? this is why epic should’ve NEVER allowed -18 players in comp.. pic.twitter.com/Sv2Y1eqHg4 — HYPEX (@itsRealHYPEX) February 8, 2021 With the release of Chapter 2 Season 6, there is plenty for Clix to be excited about in the competitive scene. Coming off a 5th place finish in the Season 5 FNCS Grand Finals (and an $18k payout), he certainly seems motivated to prepare for the next round of competition. • NRG Zayt sparks debate after claiming controller Fortnite is cheating – Dexerto

NRG Zayt sparks debate after claiming controller Fortnite is cheating Xbox / YouTube: Sneak EnergyThe latest in a long series of high-level players to criticize aim assist in Fortnite, NRG’s Williams ‘Zayt’ Aubin blasted using a controller as “cheating” and re-ignited the debate surrounding the strength of aim assist in the battle royale. Since the earliest days of using controllers in competitive PC titles, arguments have raged across the gaming world over the differences between input devices. Some say mouse-and-keyboard reign supreme, while others prefer the more accessible controller playstyle. In particular, Fortnite has been caught in this crossfire numerous times. In 2020, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins blasted the aim assist in Fortnite when he compared it to using aimbot and voiced concerns that controllers give players an unfair advantage over their counterparts using KBM (keyboard and mouse). While the aim assist in Fortnite has already been nerfed several times and the debate around the mechanic mostly settled down, pro player Zayt reignited the conversation when he labeled using a controller in Fortnite as cheating, echoing Ninja’s opinion from last year. In a tweet on February 28, the NRG player slammed the use of controller in the BR, and said “[using a] controller is still cheating, I don’t know why no one talks about it.” His criticism immediately sparked a furious debate, and players voiced strong support for both sides. Read More: How to get Alien skins in Fortnite Season 5 – “It’s so annoying getting aimbotted by [controller] players with no bloom or missed bullets,” one user responded. Another countered Zayt’s opinion and referred to KBM players using scroll wheel reset (a key bind method that allows for much faster editing): “scroll wheel reset is much more broken than aim assist.” Other players took a more neutral approach, and while they admitted the strength of aim assist was still up for debate they also pointed out that developer Epic Games reduced the mechanic’s efficiency in several patches last year. “I agree,” one user responded “but you can’t deny that it’s been taken down a notch in the past.” Read More: Fortnite Season 5 Week 13 challenges – While Zayt’s tweet created plenty of heated arguments, others took a more lighthearted approach in their replies. Hampus ‘beehive’ Johnsson — a former Fortnite pro for Luminosity and current social media manager at NRG — immediately turned Aubin’s statement into a meme. Zayt’s tweet about aim assist is far from the first time streamers and pros have voiced concerns over its balancing in Fortnite. In addition to Ninja, other big-name creators like Tfue, NICKMERCS and SypherPK have all argued over the state of aim assist in the past. Epic is just one of many developers whose games have come under fire for unbalanced aim assist. Activision and Respawn have faced similar outrage from their communities over aim assist in Call of Duty: Warzone and Apex Legends, respectively. It remains to be seen how much discussion Zayt’s tweet on aim assist will ultimately spark, and if Epic will take action once again to reduce the strength of aim assist on PC. We will make sure to keep you updated on any further developments.

Fortnite is fast becoming the most desirable and hottest topic in esports, after developer Epic Games announced it would be pledging $100m into prize pools over the 2018-19 season. HSEL works with high schools across North America and pairing up with NRG Esports – one of the top NA esports organizations – are expanding into the Fortnite scene. Hosting the first major Fortnite tournament at high school level is an inspired move, and one that should hopefully spread esports generally through the massively popular vehicle of Fortnite. And the prizes for the winners should be very enticing for potential competitors, with the opportunity to play with top Fortnite player and NRG pro “Svenoss”. But, the main prize could actually come from HSEL’s partnership with the National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE), which will be scouting the tournament and could result in scholarships being on the line. • Nolanlul wins Fortnite NA Winter Royale – Final standings and recap – Dexerto

Nolanlul wins Fortnite NA Winter Royale – Final standings and recap The NA Winter Royale Grand Finals have now come to an end and ‘Nolanlul’ has managed to pick up the win to take home $75,000. With 200 of the best players in North American qualified for the Winter Royale Finals, nothing was going to come easy for any of these players. While much of the first day of the competition was dominated by the prevalence of the X-4 Stormwing planes and Infinity Blade sword, things proceeded a bit more normally during the Grand Finals. Throughout the majority of these six matches played in the Grand Finals, only one player won using the Infinity Blade, with traditional late-game build fights being the ultimate decider in most cases. The sword was present throughout each game, with players securing a steady stream of kills when using it, but the ultimate winner of the tournament got the victory the old fashioned way. Despite not even being in the top 30 going into the final two matches, Nolanlul pulled things together in those matches to claim the unlikely victory. In the final game alone, he strung together a three-elimination victory royale that netted him four points to narrowly edge out Team Liquid’s ‘72hrs’ for the ultimate $75,000 victory. Nolanlul ended the Grand finals with a total of 11 eliminations and that final, crucial victory. When it came to the $20,000 bonus prize for Most Eliminations in a single match, Kevin ‘Nistic.TV’ Colvin and YungChung tied with nine kills and split the prize between them. • NoahJ456 Has an Idea on How Fortnite Can Keep Older Skins Rare But Still Allow New Players to Purchase – Dexerto

NoahJ456 Has an Idea on How Fortnite Can Keep Older Skins Rare But Still Allow New Players to Purchase The past 24 hours have seen widespread discussion throughout the vast community of Fortnite: Battle Royale. On July 4th, Epic Games announced that it was bringing back that rare ‘Red Knight’ skin to the Item Shop on July 5th, drawing a variety of reactions and responses from players. Since its release in December, the Red Knight has only appeared in the Item Shop a few times, the last time being on February 20th. This has led to it becoming one of the more rare cosmetic items in the game, as some of the earlier players were able to purchase the skin but most newer ones never got the chance to own it. Read More: OpTic’s CouRage Has a Theory on Why Epic Games is Bringing Back the Rare ‘Red Knight’ Skin in Fortnite – 100 Thieves YouTuber ‘NoahJ456,’ whose content focuses around Fortnite, had an idea on how Epic can still allow newer players to purchase some of these skins while keeping the originally sold ones rare. The trick would be to introduce some a color change that would differentiate the original ones from the newer. My idea to keep “Rare Skins” rare but let everyone get a chance to use it: Skins that get re-released (Ghoul Trooper, Skull Trooper, Red Knight) come back in a different color. For example, Skull Trooper returns in a dark purple version. Black Version is OG only. — NoahJ456 (@NoahJ456) July 4, 2018 While this idea makes sense and could work to keep both sides of the debate happy, it may not exactly fulfill Epic’s goal when it comes to re-releasing these skins. Although they have not explicitly stated this as a reason, but many are of the belief that bringing back rare skins to the Item Shop is a way for Epic to combat illegal account selling and scams, which would still go on if they used NoahJ’s idea.

Ninja’s wife Jessica proves Fortnite’s BRUTE Mechs aren’t always overpowered Jessica Blevins – InstagramSuperstar streamer Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins tried to prove a point concerning Fortnite using his wife Jessica, but his plan ended up not going the way he had intended. There is no doubt that the talk of the town over the past few weeks when it comes to Fortnite has concerned the BRUTE Mechs, which were added at the beginning of Season X. Overpowered to the core, these robot suits give players the ability to deal insane amounts of damage, farm tons of materials quickly, and absorb a lot of hits from enemies. Almost every content creator and pro player has denounced these destruction machines, and even Epic Games themselves have admitted that their purpose is to limit the skill gap between the top-tier players and the lower skilled ones. Read More: Tfue rage-quits Twitch Rivals Fortnite event – Hoping to demonstrate this point live on his stream, Ninja used is wife Jessica in an in-game experiment, since she hardly ever plays the game and would be considered a novice. While sitting in the weapon-controlling seat of the Mech, Ninja called over Jessica and told her to start playing for him, instructing her that all she had to do was fire the BRUTEs rockets at enemies. “Literally all you need to do is sit inside, you don’t need to do anything else,” he explained. “Just hold down left click like this. See the laser? You don’t even need to do anything, you don’t even need to touch it either.” Eventually she came across some enemy players, and in almost every other scenario, that would spell doom for those opponents as they helplessly watched the giant Mech stomp its way towards them. However, Jessica was unable to deal any fatal blows, and the players were able to shoot down the robot and cause her to shoot out of it, which ultimately led to her elimination. Segment begins at 1:30 mark for mobile users. Ironically, the point that Ninja was trying to prove ended up getting disproved, as not literally everyone can just hop in a Mech suit in Fortnite and succeed. The BRUTEs are undoubtedly overpowered, there is no questioning that fact – but if this experiment proved anything, it’s that they’re not always dominant.

  • Ninja’s record-breaking Fortnite Duos winning streak finally ends – Dexerto

Ninja’s record-breaking Fortnite Duos winning streak finally ends Ninja – Twitch / Epic GamesFortnite players Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins and Malachi ‘Reverse2k’ Greiner set a world record for most consecutive duo games won in a row, but that streak has finally come to an end. Winning games is already hard enough to do in Fortnite, but it’s even tougher to go on a long winning streak. Ninja and Reverse2k made it look easy as they set the world record for most duo wins in a row with 43, but they kept on going after that and fans wondered if the two would ever lose again. They won another eight games in a row, but the winning streak ended at 51 victories in a row, which is impressive no matter how you slice it. Of course, all good things must come to an end but the two players have cemented themselves in Fortnite history and this record will be a hard one to beat. It’s important to note that this record was accomplished in regular lobbies, but with the implementation of skill-based matchmaking, it’s a lot harder than it would have been even a month ago. Lobbies will now match you up with players that are at your skill level so while Ninja and Reverse weren’t destroying pros, the players they did face weren’t slouches either. The two players first began playing together during the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers, competing as a team. Read More: Tfue on Ninja feud: “He’s always hated me” – They weren’t able to secure a spot in the tournament together, but they did come within a few points of getting a place several times. Reverse was able to qualify as a solo, but it would have been sweeter to do so with Ninja. Rising to prominence by playing with Ninja and competing in the World Cup, Reverse was able to join Team SoloMid’s star-studded Fortnite roster. One thing’s for certain – the future is bright for the two players if they keep this up.

The winners-take-all matchup featured some of the best Fortnite players in the world, as Twitch extraordinaire Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Cloud9 Fortnite pro Jacob ‘Hysteria’ Reiser defeated the FaZe Clan pro duo of Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore. The matches were as intense as advertised, as Ninja and Hysteria had to win two matches in the Grand Final since they were coming from the Losers Bracket. They managed to do just that, thanks to a masterclass and brilliant performance from the pair in the first match and a swift victory in the second. The games were incredible. Happy they got knocked out early in the last game to be completely honest.” He also had strong compliments for his teammate Hysteria, who got to claim a Friday Fortnite championship in just his second week of competing. “Hysteria, great job man, love you brother. So happy we got both our first wins, that was only your second week. So, pretty litty!” He concluded the video by offering his own afterthoughts about the competition as a whole. “Obviously GGs to everyone that we played. Some incredible, incredible matches that we overcame. Another huge shoutout to KEEMSTAR for hosting these, they’re absolutely incredible, they give so much entertainment. If you guys were watching, I really appreciate it.”

  • Ninja’s massive OG Fortnite stream on Twitter/X gets “cool” nod from Elon Musk – Dexerto

Ninja’s massive OG Fortnite stream on Twitter/X gets “cool” nod from Elon Musk Twitch/NinjaNinja has taken his Fortnite gameplay to X (formerly known as Twitter) in an incredibly popular stream that even gained the attention of owner Elon Musk. Fortnite has revived some of the game’s most classic elements, including the original map, items, features, and more, with the new Fortnite OG season. With many of the game’s original concepts being the reason why Fortnite skyrocketed to fame, it’s not surprising to see many millions of players return to the game and pick up where they left off. Ninja, one of the most popular Fortnite streamers of all time, has now taken to X to “test” the streaming potential of the platform, and the result appears to have been a monumental success. Ninja’s 91-minute stream has already racked up more than 1.3 million views, with many viewers praising the quality. While this figure represents total views rather than peak live concurrent viewers, screenshots show that the stream boasted more than 54,000 live viewers at one point, a figure that surpasses Ninja’s recent peak viewership of 43,060 on Twitch. The success of Ninja’s stream highlights not just the attention that Ninja is still able to draw on his Fortnite streams but also the potential that X has for gaming streamers, in particular. Even Elon Musk commented on Ninja’s successful stream, giving a nod to the “test” with a simple quote-tweet stating “cool.” Although just a brief response from Musk, who has also streamed his own Diablo 4 gameplay on the platform on multiple occasions, it marks the widespread impact and potential visibility of streaming on X. Expect to see more top streamers follow in Ninja’s footsteps, as even Dr Disrespect outlined the one condition it would take for him to start streaming on the platform. And with X now being worth half of what Musk paid for it, it would appear that the company needs to take some bold steps as it looks ahead to a future of becoming the “everything app.”

  • Ninja’s Fortnite streaming hours reveal just how hard he works to stay at number one – Dexerto

Ninja’s Fortnite streaming hours reveal just how hard he works to stay at number one Ninja has revealed how much he has streamed Fortnite this year – and, according to stats, it works out as more than twice the amount of hours of an average American in full-time employment. The Twitch sensation took to Twitter on December 2, disclosing he’d played 3,800 hours of the popular battle royale game in 2018 so far. While he is paid very handsomely for playing video games in front of his fans, he is working a lot more than many people in full-time employment. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, an average working week in the USA consists of 34.5 hours of work, whereas Ninja is putting in approximately 80 hours per week – over double the national average. The Twitch sensation has built the largest following on the entire platform, with almost 12.5 million followers and 46,276 paying subscribers. Each of those subscribers pay $4.99 per month to Twitch, and Ninja receives around $3.50 for every one of them, making his current annual earnings approximately $1.9 million before tax, not including sponsorship deals. Of course, there are streamers who will work similar hours and not earn nearly half as much as the 27-year-old. Indeed, some will have to balance other commitments, such as a full or part-time job. Other streamers also have to juggle a professional esports career with content creation. In the run up the Call of Duty’s CWL Las Vegas Open, eUnited’s Main AR Player James ‘Clayster’ Eubanks tweeted about the struggles of competing in tournaments and also streaming for their fans. He said: “I see some people on the subreddit complaining about no streams and no content. Y’all gotta realize we’re basically being split down the middle; create content and win tournaments. It’s really hard to do both well.” It is difficult to balance different commitments, but Ninja’s streaming hours show just how many hours he needs to put in to remain at number one.

  • Ninja’s Fortnite skin has a surprising effect the better you play – Dexerto

Ninja’s Fortnite skin has a surprising effect the better you play Epic Games / Instagram: ninjaTyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins is the first content creator to receive an exclusive skin in Epic Games’ popular Battle Royale title, and the unique cosmetic item comes with a surprising effect for impressive players. After years of the Fortnite community pleading Epic to release custom streamer skins, Ninja announced on January 15 that he had an exclusive cosmetic coming to Fortnite with the game’s next update. Ninja’s skin captures his iconic blue hair and prominently features his logo on the left sleeve, allows players to embody the streaming sensation. However, the first of its kind skin also comes boasting a surprising feature under the hood that rewards players for exceptional performances. I’ve dreamt of having a skin in Fortnite since I started playing the game. Today, my dream becomes reality. Get the Ninja Fortnite Skin in the Epic store Thursday 6 p.m. CST-Sunday 7 p.m. Don’t forget to use code NINJA! #NinjaSkin #EpicPartner pic.twitter.com/xTn9UlbkGI — Ninja (@Ninja) January 15, 2020 Performing well in Fortnite and racking up eliminations has only ever been displayed through the in-game tally on the Heads Up Display (HUD). However, the brand new Ninja skin comes with a new effect and puts an end to just that. With each successive elimination, the yellow headband appears to grow. From a standard piece of apparel that Ninja often wears throughout his streams on Mixer, to a lengthy item that almost matches the size of the swords on his back. The better you perform throughout any match, the longer the headband becomes. Starting out in a fresh lobby will have all Ninja skins on an even playing field, but the further into a match you get, the more headbands you’ll be able to spot across the map. Moreover, the unique aspect of the cosmetic reaches another level entirely if players continue with their exceptional performance. While the length of the headband caps out at 10 eliminations, reaching such a streak will make the iconic apparel glow for all to see. Allowing others around you to instantly recognize the magnitude of your performance, a glowing headband is one of the most unique ways to flex on everyone else in the lobby. A surefire way to gauge just how imposing the final remaining enemies are as well, if you see a full squad of Ninja’s heading your way – each with a glowing headband – it might be time to bunker down and hope for the best. Ninja’s very own skin was made available through Fortnite’s in-game store at 6PM CST on January 16. While a detailed blog post from Epic Games teased a similar treatment would be on the way for Australian streamer Kathleen ‘Loserfruit’ Belsten and Spanish YouTuber David ‘TheGrefg’ Cánovas, there’s no telling whether each skin from here on out will feature unique functions like Ninja’s iconic headband.

  • Ninja breaks down the worst places to land in Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja breaks down the worst places to land in Fortnite Epic Games / Ninja TwitchTwitch star Tyler ‘Fortnite match after numerous updates have made popular landing spots less viable. Epic Games’ latest patches for their battle royale have made numerous controversial changes which have led some players to approach the early game way different than before. Ninja and his squad had landed at a popular landing destination in Retail Row only to be met with instant chaos, leading the team of streamers to scramble after contesting multiple engagements. Retail Row? More like Death Row Unfortunately for Ninja’s squad, they were quickly overwhelmed and subsequently eliminated as pressure from all sides started closing in. After quickly losing out in a heated warzone, the Twitch star gave his thoughts on Retail Row after the popular siphon mechanic was taken out of the game. “Why is Retail the worst spot in the world to land, man,” Ninja said. “There was only one time Retail was a good place to land, that was when siphon was in the game.” Worst places to land The streamer wasn’t done as he gave his opinion on the places he definitely wouldn’t recommend players to land at the start of a game “Here are the worst places to land in the game right now,” Ninja said after getting eliminated. “Pleasant Park, Retail Row and Tilted Towers.” As to why he felt that way, Ninja noted the disproportionate amount of resources a player could scavenge from the points of interest to the players that land there which instantly creates a frenzy. “All those places are like hot drops that have like not enough mats and loot that actually get healing and materials when you come out of it if another squad lands there,” Ninja said. “Heck, Pleasant [Park], you can come out of there with no shield. That place is terrible. Even though those point of interests have been a big part of the game’s history, it doesn’t look like Ninja would advise to land there for players who’re looking to get a Victory Royale.

  • Ninja works out how he secured impossible Fortnite Victory Royale – Dexerto

Ninja works out how he secured impossible Fortnite Victory Royale Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins put on his analyst cap to figure out how he managed to win a game despite being in a seemingly impossible situation. In a late-game situation during a game of Fortnite, Ninja was trying to outwit an enemy player while the two were in the midst of a buildfight hundreds of feet off the ground. Things then took a turn for the worst when the ramp Ninja was standing on gets shot out from under his feet, sending him hurtling towards his impending doom. As he was falling, Ninjas can be seen nodding his head and accepting his unfortunate fate. Moments before hitting the ground, however, Ninja is greeted with the signature sound effect signaling a victory Royale. Sitting there incredulous as to what just happened, Ninja clutched his chest in relief while yelling: “Oh my God! Let’s go, baby!!” Still trying to process how he managed to win against the impossible odds, Ninja pulls up the game’s Replay tool to dig into the situation. After taking a closer look at the fight, Ninja discovers that his Calamity-skinned opponent also had the misfortune of falling from the haphazardly built structure. The opponent was attempting to make a hero play by no-scoping Ninja with a Heavy Sniper Rifle, but the shot missed, destroying the ramp and causing the pair to go careening towards the ground. Read More: Epic Games announce ‘Support-A-Creator’ event in Fortnite, allowing fans to support favorite content creators – Since his enemy had more momentum from jumping, he fell much faster, allowing Ninja to take the surprising Victory Royale. • Ninja Witnesses CDNThe3rd Get Crushed by the Fortnite Cube, But Still Survive – Dexerto

Ninja Witnesses CDNThe3rd Get Crushed by the Fortnite Cube, But Still Survive Fortnite’s strange, purple cube has been doing a lot of weird things lately, one of which was crushing major Fortnite streamer ‘CDNThe3rd’ during one of Ninja’s streams – and leaving him alive. In a stream on August 28th, massive Fortnite streamer Ninja and a group of players surrounded the cube during one of its movements in an attempt to guess what direction it would roll toward. Fellow player and streamer CDNThe3rd, also known as Ceez, decided to go underneath the cube in a moment of bravery – resulting in what was supposed to be his inevitable demise. Instead of bouncing leagues away from the cube, as players usually do when they try to attack the it, Ceez remained in place – without being squished. The gathered players broke into laughter at his fate, but their humor quickly turned to awe that he was still alive. “He’s still alive! “No way!” While CDN’s character was on all fours, he had survived, much to the shock and amusement of his team. Whether this was a glitch or not remains to be seen, as the cube possesses an arsenal of mysterious properties. During one of Fortnite’s Summer Skirmish matches, Ninja witnessed the formation of the giant, purple cube. Since then, the cube has remained an object of mystery throughout the Fortnite playerbase, with many users trying to solve the puzzle of its existence. It moves slowly throughout the map, making deep, groaning sounds. The cube also has strange markings carved into its sides, and will launch players a considerable distance should they try to attack it or jump on top of it. With the equally mysterious lightning now striking the map, players are gearing up for what could be a massive game event.

  • Ninja witnesses bizarre disappearing rocket glitch on Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja witnesses bizarre disappearing rocket glitch on Fortnite Ninja/TwitchTwitch superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins witnessed a bizarre glitch on Fortnite Battle Royale when a rocket he fired vanished into thin air. The Luminosity Gaming member was playing alongside Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, Ryan ‘Chap’ Chapo and Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore when the squad came across an enemy team just north of Fatal Fields. With Cloak already dead, Ninja spotted a member of the enemy squad alone, and used one of the purple pits located around the map to jump towards him. Just as Ninja was about to land beside his opponent, he quickly pulled out and threw a Boogie Bomb, rendering his enemy helpless as he danced uncontrollably. With his opponent unable to attack, Ninja pulled out his Rocket Launcher and fired from close range, with the power of the rocket likely enough to knock his opponent, or at least cause some serious damage. Surprisingly, the rocket never connected with his enemy. Just as it began to fly out of the launcher towards its target, it disappeared, leaving Blevins stunned. “Where did my rocket go?” asked Ninja, shocked at what he had just witnessed. “You saw that, right?” While Blevins’ rocket failed to materialize, he was able to react and pull out a shotgun, knocking his opponent, before jumping over to the where CouRage was battling his other teammates to help out and wipe the squad. Epic Games have yet to address this glitch, but Fortnite fans will be hoping that the developer is able to fix the issues affecting the Rocket Launcher before Season 7 begins. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.

  • Ninja wipes out six enemies in Fortnite while having just 4 HP and no materials – Dexerto

Ninja wipes out six enemies in Fortnite while having just 4 HP and no materials In case anyone has forgotten how good Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is at Fortnite Battle Royale, the popular streamer has offered a stern reminder. Playing Fortnite with some of his fellow streamers as usual, Ninja and his team ventured into the new structure in Tilted Towers, only to be met by several enemy teams also happened to be there. The initial series of gunfights got Ninja down to just four health points, putting him in a very difficult situation. Refusing to back down, the Fortnite extraordinaire turned on his clutch switch and pulled off, what would seemingly be, an impossible task. Using a perfect combination of patience, finesse, and gun-skill, Ninja was amazingly able to manage his way through six individual gunfights, and mow down the helpless enemies as they threw themselves at the popular streamer. It’s hard to pick out what the most impressive thing about the killing spree was, but it may very well be the fact that he had only four health the entire time, meaning he would have been knocked if any of his opponents had gotten just one more bullet on him. Read More: Team Liquid pro Vivid proves why he’s among the best with crazy killing spree in Fortnite scrim – While plays like this are what have helped make him the biggest name in Fortnite, Ninja is not afraid to try his had in other battle royale games as well, including Call of Duty’s new Blackout BR mode In fact, the streamer announced on September 14 that he has been picked to be one of the four team captains for a special Blackout competition to be played during Twitchcon at the end of October. It will be worth watching the event to see whether Ninja can duplicate his Fortnite wizardry in the new world of Blackout.

  • Ninja will take desperate measures to have planes removed from Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja will take desperate measures to have planes removed from Fortnite Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has revealed just how close he is to quitting Fortnite until Epic Games removes the X-4 Stormwing planes from the game. The attack plane, which was added with the start of season 7, has received nerfs since its addition but remains a powerful weapon in the Battle Royale game. Its ability to destroy buildings remains an issue for players – both professional and casual. Not even Ninja is immune to their powers as demonstrated on his December 23 stream. Playing alongside fellow streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, Ninja was knocked off his building by a diving plane, knocking him backwards and killing him. He wasn’t happy about it, to say the least. “You want to hop onto another game?” Ninja immediately asked CouRage after being eliminated by the plane. “I’m this close, this close [make gesture with finger and thumb] to getting off dude. I’m so close to never playing until they remove planes dude.” “I’m literally turbo building and I’m getting shot through my build,” Ninja added. CouRage tried to bring some humour to the situation, jokingly saying: “We got outplayed bro, that’s the only way to put it. They’re just better.” It’s not the first time Ninja has voiced his concerns about the game and its developer. Earlier in December, the hugely popular streamer called on Epic Games to look at finding a solution for its many stream snipers and cheaters. Some fans and streamers may be vocal against them but planes don’t look to be going away anytime soon. It remains to be seen if Ninja was being entirely serious or not, however, him threatening to quit the game may force Epic to make some changes.

  • Ninja warns Fortnite will lose players again if it doesn’t “cater” to no-building mode – Dexerto

Ninja warns Fortnite will lose players again if it doesn’t “cater” to no-building mode Red Bull/Epic GamesStreaming giant Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins believes Fortnite could go back to square one and lose all its interest again if Epic Games doesn’t cater to those players who have returned because of no building. Fortnite has been going through a bit of a renaissance of late thanks to the Chapter 3, Season 2 update that Epic Games dropped on March 20, as players have flocked back to the battle royale. The biggest reason for this is because the Fortnite developers decided to do away with the game’s most iconic feature – building. Now, if you drop into a normal match, you don’t have to worry about someone winning a gunfight because they’re a better architect than you. While the mechanic remains in competitive and creative modes, there has been talk about building being gone for good in the normal batter royale mode – and it’s something that Ninja believes the devs have to consider. The Twitch star, who has been playing the battle royale pretty exclusively since the update, praised the devs for having the game in a “phenomenal spot” but that could all change rapidly. “Fortnite is another phenomenal spot where it has the attention of the gamers again man, it has the attention of the non-Fortnite players,” Ninja said in his March 27 stream. “It’s bringing in a lot of new people to the game, old people (are coming) back to the game, and they’re loving it more than ever. “That will go away if they don’t continue to cater to the no building. It’s almost like when they added refresh. When they added that and then removed it, everyone hated it but then it was so good, they needed it, so they kept it in Arenas.” When the mechanic was first removed, Fortnite dataminers and leakers stated that it would return nine days after the update – which would mean it comes back on March 29th. It remains to be seen as to whether or not Epic decides to press on with bringing building back, or if they do finally introduce a permanent no building mode as players have long clamored for.

  • Ninja wants old Fortnite weapon back to counter controller players – Dexerto

Ninja wants old Fortnite weapon back to counter controller players Ninja, Mixer / Epic GamesFortnite streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has offered a potential solution to controller aim assist problems in the battle royale game, arguing not for a nerf to the feature, but instead a solid weapon to counter it on PC. The popular internet personality, who broadcasts regularly on his Mixer channel, has voiced his fair share of criticisms during the debut season of Chapter 2, relating to bugs, in-game issues and more. However, after a number of PC players decided to plug controllers in instead of their mouse and keyboards in order to take advantage of the aim assist feature on the pads, he has put forward a solution that Epic Games might want to take into account for Season 2. During a broadcast, Blevins was seen reminiscing about a decision taken by the game’s developers to bring back the Infantry Rifle in the past. It was vaulted at the beginning of Chapter 2, although the streamer thinks we need to see it come back soon, or something similar. It didn’t take long, though, before he considered what it would be like if it returned some time in the near future, suggesting it could be a solution to some problems players are experiencing on PC. “My main reason for why it should be in the game, like it’s a necessity, because it is a direct counter to aim assist slash console players that rely on their zooming in. Timestamp in the video below at 0:30. He continued: “Am I wrong? Am I a bad guy for saying that? PC players need a gun that is pure aim to combat the heavy aim assist players who play on PC and plug controllers in. I’m not saying nerf aim assist. “It was the only gun in the game that actually relied on skill from the mouse. In order to combat a controller’s aim on the PC, we need a new Infantry Rifle.” Whether or not Epic Games will decide to unvault the Infantry, or perhaps release a new weapon that works in a similar way to it, for the beginning of Season 2 remains to be seen. One thing is for sure, though, and that’s Ninja thinks it would be the right call to balance things out.

  • Ninja wants Epic Games to put an end to Fortnite stream snipers – Dexerto

Ninja wants Epic Games to put an end to Fortnite stream snipers Dexerto/Epic GamesTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins hopes that Epic Games can find a way to help streamers combat stream snipers but is unsure if a solution will ever be possible from anybody. The stream sniping epidemic, not just in Fortnite, has been taken to new levels in recent months with stream snipers finding creative ways to ruin games. Some have even taken the time to make guides to aid other players to become stream snipers. Streamers have exhausted plenty of options in trying to stop stream snipers, but Ninja believes that if any games publisher is going to come up with a way to combat streaming sniping, it would be Epic Games. However, he isn’t completely sure if there’s a way to completely stop the in-game trolls. Speaking during his stream on December 15 after being stream sniped in yet another squads game, the streamer said: “Listen man, If there’s anyone who can come up with a creative way to counteract stream sniping, it’s Epic. “I think that they’ve done great little things to kind of, you know, get away from it but there’s gotta be some sort of algorithm, I don’t know, just something they can put in the game that just punishes people for doing it. I don’t know, some way to detect it. “Honestly, I don’t think it’s ever possible unless Epic and Twitch or whatever platform you’re on somehow work hand in hand but I mean, I don’t know. I can’t even fathom a way to come up with something like that.” Epic have already taken steps to aid streamers in their battle against players trying to ruin their games by adding the streamer mode option. However, that doesn’t stop stream snipers finding their way into games – it only censors explicit gamer tags.

  • Ninja vows not to play Fortnite again after getting stream sniped – Dexerto

Ninja vows not to play Fortnite again after getting stream sniped Epic Games / Twitch: NinjaNinja has vowed never to play or stream Fortnite again after he was allegedly stream sniped by a player who targeted and killed him four games in a row. Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins will always be remembered for his rise to fame during Fortnite’s peak. At one point, his name was synonymous with the game, and it was all he played. But all good things must come to an end, and like any gamer, he got bored and moved on. Now, he plays everything from League of Legends to Valorant, the latter of which he plays competitively. It had been a while since he dabbled in Fortnite, but he made an exciting return in a recent stream. However, the nostalgia and good times didn’t last long. After constant encounters with stream snipers, he vowed to never play the game again. “It’s the same kids, bro. Get out of my game. Get away from me,” he said. “You’re not proving anything by going into a f**king game and running to someone, and when you know, they’re in a fight with somebody and f**king killing them.” “This game is so f**king stupid, bro,” he added. “Like, the community, these little kids, it’s just so dumb. It really is. It’s not fun. It’s just not. And the thing is, these f**king clout-chasing losers, they have no idea. All they’re doing is just harming the game because I’m gonna f**king play it. I’m not gonna stream it.” “But good for you, man,” he said. “Get your f**king clip [and] send it to your buddies. You killed Ninja. I haven’t played the game in forever. I don’t play it anymore. I come back, and I still almost kill all of you idiots. You guys grind this game 12 hours a day… and I still almost down you with zero practice competitively.” Ninja has been criticized for accusing people of stream sniping in the past. His accusations even resulted in some people getting them banned. However, it seems like he was telling the truth in this instance since the same player targeted him four games in a row. But regardless of whether people believe him or not, Ninja has vowed never to play the game again. It’s been a long time since it was his main game, but if he follows through with his claims, his presence will be sorely missed.

  • Ninja voted ‘most likely’ to blame his team in Fortnite by CouRage, Nadeshot, and Cizzorz – Dexerto

Ninja voted ‘most likely’ to blame his team in Fortnite by CouRage, Nadeshot, and Cizzorz Epic Games / Ninja – TwitchDuring an episode of the CouRage and Nadeshot Show, FaZe Clan’s Cizzorz guest starred and was asked who would be the player most likely to blame teammates for their death, the trio agreed that it was Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins. Many of the top Fortnite streamers are good friends with each other and play together quite often, and as a result, they know each other’s gaming styles pretty well. When the question of who would be most likely to blame their teammates, it didn’t take long for Jack ‘CouRageJD‘ Dunlop, Matthew ‘Nadeshot‘ Haag and Cizzorz to reach their conclusion. In a friendly jab, they all chose Ninja as the player who would blame his teammates for his death. However, they did have personal stories to back up their claims. “I rarely play with him,” Cizzorz said. “But just the clips of him like ‘Pick me up!!! Jack! You didn’t get me!’” Nadeshot chimed in with a story of when he played with Ninja in the past while drinking which is never a good idea as, Nade explained since he wasn’t very good at the game either. “I played Fortnite with Ninja when I was drunk and I couldn’t even play the game because I wasn’t even good in the first place,” he said. “Ninja’s like telling me to do shit, I’m like ‘Dude I physically cannot do that’ and I just knew he was getting upset. (Conversation begins at 1:46 in the video below) The discussion was all in good fun so we don’t expect Ninja to take offense to any of this, especially considering it’d be hard to deny that he does blame his team a lot. People still squad up with Ninja on a consistent basis so it’s clear his complaints haven’t gotten in the way of too much. We’re still waiting for what seems like an inevitable appearance of Ninja on the show where he might be able to defend himself from these playful accusations.

  • Ninja Uses New Grappler To Pull Off Incredible ‘Spider-Man’ Play in Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja Uses New Grappler To Pull Off Incredible ‘Spider-Man’ Play in Fortnite The new Grappler item is quickly becoming a favorite for many within the Fortnite community since it was recently added via the v5.40 Update. One player who seems to be enjoying using the Grappler a lot is popular Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, who has seemingly already mastered the item. The Fortnite extraordinaire displayed his mastery by using the item to relentlessly chase down and eliminate an enemy player in Fortnite and secure yet another Victory Royale. The control Ninja maintains of the Grappler throughout the sequence is rather impressive as he manages to pull off five consecutive grapples without touching the ground. Once he got close enough to the enemy player, almost everyone knew what was going to happen, as it then simply became a case of Ninja outgunning his opponents, which he usually always does. The player ended up being Ninja’s final opponent in that match, which made the Victory Royale the icing on the cake. Many, like Ninja, are using the new Grappler to pull of impressive eliminations, dashing and daring escapes from tight situations, or even to freely swing across the Fortnite map. Coincidentally (or not), the Grappler was added in Fortnite less than a day before the highly anticipated Spider-Man video game was set to be released, which has led many to compare the new item’s mechanics to that of the Marvel superhero in-game. Even Ninja used the caption “New Spiderman game is SICK” when posting the clip above on Twitter.

  • Ninja urges Fortnite pros and streamers to stay humble ahead of $30m World Cup – Dexerto

Ninja urges Fortnite pros and streamers to stay humble ahead of $30m World Cup Popular Twitch streamer, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, offered a warning to any professional players and streamers, saying they must continue to improve, especially if they are hoping to qualify for the upcoming Fortnite World Cup. Epic Games announced the historic tournament back in February – offering $100m in prize money. The top 100 solo players and 50 duos will compete for the chance to win their share of $30m in New York with $1m being offered every week throughout 2019. With the online qualifiers starting on April 13 and running until June 13, former Halo professional Ninja offered his advice to Fortnite pros and streamers looking to secure their spot at the tournament; even those currently at the top of the game. Pro tip: never think you are the best, if you do someone will overtake you. You can always learn and always improve. I watch top players everyday on twitch to learn and make sure I am always improving. You can learn something from anyone. — Ninja (@Ninja) March 22, 2019 “Never think you are the best – if you do someone will overtake you,” Ninja wrote on Twitter. “You can always learn and improve.” Blevins himself has admitted to regularly watching streams of the top players to pick up any tips and tricks that he can use on the battlefield. He said: “I watch top players every day on Twitch to make sure I’m always improving. You can learn something from anyone.” The 27-year-old has emerged himself in the competitive scene in recent weeks, playing the Gauntlet pop-up cups as well as switching to stretched resolution. Ninja’s switch away from native resolution as well as the revelation he is moving away from Apex Legends to focus on Fortnite shows he is serious about performing well at the World Cup. Given his exceptional performances in other games he has competed in professionally, Ninja could be a dark horse in the upcoming tournament.

  • Ninja urges Epic to remove Fortnite’s most “broken” weapon – Dexerto

Ninja urges Epic to remove Fortnite’s most “broken” weapon Ninja/Epic GamesTwitch star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins called out Fortnite’s most “elo inflating” weapon and urged Epic Games to remove it from the popular battle royale. Since Epic Games made the game-changing decision to remove building from Fortnite with the Zero Build mode, Ninja has returned to the battle royale that helped him rise to fame. Since Blevins has fallen in love with the game all over again, he’s seen a massive rise in viewership on Twitch. Although he’s praised Epic’s handling of Fortnite recently, there’s still a few changes he’d like to see the company make – including removing one annoying weapon. Ninja rages at Fortnite’s Drum Shotgun The 30-year-old streamer was live on May 13 when he encountered the power of the Drum Shotgun. After getting killed by the shotgun in mere seconds with full shields he raged hard at just how powerful the weapon is. “I hate the Drum Shotty so much! It requires no skill, get it out of the game, please!” the streamer called out. He continued his rant: “I don’t enjoy it. I don’t enjoy dying to or using that gun. I use it so that I can win. It’s a broken-ass gun that needs to be removed because it’s an elo-inflator, dude.” Timestamp of 00:27 The Drum Shotgun has become one of the most sought-after weapons in all of Fortnite as it has the ability to melt opponents faster than any other gun in the gun. Ninja finished his rage-fueled rant, saying: “A five-year-old with a fricken’ controller just jetpacks and locks on with whatever weapons he’s using, and it’s probably the combat SMG or the Drum.” Blevins skipped right past asking for the Drum Shotgun to be nerfed, to demanding the gun be removed entirely.

  • Ninja warns Epic that stream snipers could kill Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja warns Epic that stream snipers could kill Fortnite Stream snipers have plagued battle royale games and Fortnite is no different – Twitch superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins believes more needs to be done to eradicate the issue. Since the game’s inception, players have intentionally attempted to ruin top streamers’ experience by watching their live feed to gain an unfair advantage. Almost every large content creator or professional player has encountered the issue, most recently CouRage who was able to catch his stream sniper in the act and hopefully get him banned for good. Despite Twitch actively banning users who are caught stream sniping and broadcasting it on the platform, Ninja believes that Epic Games must do more to crack down on the issue to give streamers the best experience possible. He cited the success achieved by Apex Legends as the main reason to give priority to streamers and content creators ahead of regular users of the game. “Content creators make video games dude,” Blevins said. “Take Apex for example. It was a free game, EA paid a bunch of creators to play the game and it blew up. It made 90 million in its first month – that’s amazing!” “But, I guarantee it wouldn’t have been that successful if it wasn’t for those streamers who promoted it, they need to be valued more than a normal person who plays that game – you take care of your customers.” Ninja believes that Fortnite could suffer a similar fate to H1Z1 unless drastic action is taken against stream snipers which might force him to quit the game for good. “Stream snipers got so out of control [in H1Z1] that I stopped playing the game,” Ninja explains. “Putting on a delay isn’t streaming – I shouldn’t have to put a 30 second delay on to stop people getting into my game. PUBG got out of control – I stopped playing PUBG. It’s the same thing with Fortnite. Epic needs to go above and beyond for the top content creators to have the best experience they possibly can.” Fortnite have added a hidden matchmaking delay as well as an anonymous mode in the past to reduce the problem but players are still able to queue up with the top streamers easily. Stream sniping ruins the experience for both the streamer and viewer and more does need to be done to eradicate the issue once and for all.

  • Ninja is unconvinced new Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass skin is based on him – Dexerto

Ninja is unconvinced new Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass skin is based on him Ninja/Epic GamesTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, and helped Fortnite get to where it is today – but his chat had a hard time convincing him a new skin for Season 8 was in his likeness. Fortnite’s Season 8 started on February 28, and offers players a brand new battle pass filled with loot to unlock. One of the skins is called ‘Master Key,’ and Ninja’s fans were convinced Epic based the skin on their favorite streamer. While Ninja looked through the new Season 8 Battle Pass with his viewers, a lot of people in his chat kept begging the streamer to look at the Master Key skin, convinced it looked like him or a “ninja” because of the headband. “Wow, like, why is that me?” Ninja asked before turning deadpan to his webcam to stare at viewers. Obviously, Ninja wasn’t convinced, and when you look at the streamer and the Master Key skin, the only real similarity is that they both have spiky hair. No streamer officially has an in-game skin, but there was a brief moment where it looked like Summit1G had gotten the first streamer-specific skin, and Ninja was not happy about it. Even though he doesn’t have a special skin, Epic did add the ‘PLUNJA’ harvester after Ninja jokingly asked for it. Ninja may not have a special in-game skin just yet, but Epic has kept the possibility of introducing streamer-specific skins in the future.

  • Ninja, TimTheTatMan & more freak out over Ariana Grande’s Fortnite performance – Dexerto

Ninja, TimTheTatMan & more freak out over Ariana Grande’s Fortnite performance Epic GamesAriana Grande joined the illustrious club of musicians to perform in Fortnite, and the internet just could not get enough. The August stop on the Rift Tour featured none other than Ariana Grande performing in all the pastel and crystals the Fortnite universe could muster. With a setlist including “7 Rings,” “Be Alright,” “R.E.M.” and more, insane visuals and effects weren’t the only things to look forward to, as there seemed to be something for everyone. One of those tuning into the concert’s premier was none other than Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, perhaps one of the most famous Fortnite personalities of all time. “This is INSANE,” Ninja wrote on Twitter. “It’s like a personal concert.” TimTheTatman, who can be heard in the background, was apparently freaking out even more than Blevins was. “Dude, imagine being a kid and experiencing this,” Tim remarked, totally stunned at what he was witnessing happen in-game. Ariana Grande fans were also over the moon with the performance. One part that really seemed to blow people’s minds when Grande, like Travis Scott before her, became a giant and towered over the map. sorry this was so sick 😭 ntltc vibes @ArianaGrande @TeamAriana @FortniteGame pic.twitter.com/KYLMrq3UiE — Jacob (@fakesmileximh) August 6, 2021 Fortnite Concept Artist and noted Ariana stan ‘D3NNI’ pretty much summed up how a lot of fans were feeling during the performance – a good sign that Epic crushed it once again. “THIS EVENT WAS EVERYTHING I’VE EVER WANTED & MORE!!” He tweeted. “The VISUALS, the SONG CHOICES, the CHOREO… every single detail was perfect. MY HEART IS SO HAPPY RN.” THIS EVENT WAS EVERYTHING I’VE EVER WANTED & MORE!! The VISUALS, the SONG CHOICES, the CHOREO… every single detail was perfect. At just under 15 minutes, people were clamoring for more of the pop star, and can you really blame them? Fornite might not be as popular as it was in it’s heyday, but it’s still one of the most poppin’ battle royales around. One other thing is certain, too: They definitely know how to put on a good show.

  • Ninja pleads with Epic Games after other streamers get early access to new Fortnite pack – Dexerto

Ninja pleads with Epic Games after other streamers get early access to new Fortnite pack Epic Games gave out the Lava Legends skin pack to various Fortnite streamers and Ninja was upset ‘TimTheTatman’ and ‘Dakotaz’ got it before him. The Lava Legends pack includes a collection of cosmetics that transforms a character into something that looks like it crawled right out of Fortnite’s new volcano. Similar to many cosmetic bundles like this, Epic Games likes to give a few to various influencers, mainly the top Twitch streamers who can showcase the skins and potentially get their thousands of viewers to pick it up. Ninja is usually one of the first streamers that come to mind when you think of Fortnite streamers so you’d figure he’d be one of the first to receive access to the pack. While he was no doubt scheduled to receive one, he seemed to be a bit shocked, to say the least, that Tim received the pack before he did. “If I’m about to watch what I think I’m about to watch,” Ninja said. “Wait, Epic asked Tim if he wanted the Lava Legend pack? He got it!?” Ninja and Tim are very good friends so the jabs were all in good fun. However, Ninja also had a similar reaction when he found out Dakotaz also received the skin. “Epic gave what to Dakotaz,” Ninja asked. “Dude, what do I have to do to be loved?” It’s surely all joking as Epic Games regularly hooks up Ninja with the newest packs in Fortnite, it just seems like it might take a little bit longer for this one. Even though Ninja may not have gotten the Lava Legends pack early, he can certainly find solace in the fact that he’s now one of the faces of Red Bull, having just debuted his own special can. These special cans of Red Bull will be on sale in the United States beginning April 1 and will run while supplies last.

  • Ninja Thinks Turbo Building Setting in Fortnite Battle Royale is Broken – Dexerto

Ninja Thinks Turbo Building Setting in Fortnite Battle Royale is Broken Top Fortnite streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has seemingly acknowledged a major fault with the game’s building mechanics, specifically the setting “turbo building”. One of the most central components to Fortnite is building, and being a skilled builder often separates the good players from the bad. Because of how frequent building became and used as instant cover, developers Epic Games added a number of settings to improve the mechanics and allow for smoother builds. The setting ‘turbo building’ was added back in February 2018, as well as other improvements such as ‘auto-material change’ and ‘building through stuff’. Turbo building quickly became the default for many players across platforms, as it was no longer necessary to repeatedly press the build button, rather holding it down would continue the build. “Turbo Building” allows you to hold down primary fire and continuously place the selected building piece (Toggled in the Game options). Now you can “paint” building pieces into the world quickly. This will be very useful for defensively building walls around you and sprinting up ramps while building them simultaneously. However, at some point during recent updates to the game, some players have reported issues with turbo building, seemingly not placing the build when holding down the button/key. And it seems even Ninja himself has now acknowledged the issue, in this clip taken from his live stream. With constant updates to the game on a weekly basis, small glitches and issues are known to have cropped up previously so it is possible that an accidental change has been made to the turbo building setting. The Fortnite development team are usually quick to resolve these issue, and with Ninja highlighting the problem on his platform Epic Games will no doubt be aware of players’ complaints.

  • Ninja, TheGrefg, Loserfruit & Lachlan assemble for historic Fortnite Icon stream – Dexerto

Ninja, TheGrefg, Loserfruit & Lachlan assemble for historic Fortnite Icon stream Epic GamesNinja, Loserfruit, Lachlan, and TheGrefg are the mega popular streamers behind Fortnite’s first batch of Icon Series skins and all four of them just grouped up for a historic livestream. January 16 marked the reveal of Fortnite’s first Icon Series skin. Ninja kicked things off with the new line of streamer-based skins. Fans had been eager to play as their favorite personalities in-game for years, and the Icon Series would pave the way for just that. Loserfuit came next in June 2020. Followed by Lachlan in November 2020 and most recently, Grefg in January 2021. With all four now out in the wild, the streamers responsible all joined forces for a history Fortnite session. Grefg and Ninja were the first two in the lobby. “It was your free day right?” Grefg asked Ninja, who wasn’t intending to go live on January 17. “Correct,” Ninja responded. “But I couldn’t pass up this opportunity.” Both Lachlan and Loserfruit had to make some sacrifices for the special moment as well. They were both playing from Australia on 220 ping but were more than happy to do so for the huge occasion. All four players dropped into their first match wearing their respective Icon Series skins. It marked the first time in Fortnite history that they were all in the same lobby, let alone on the same team. “Alright guys, this is an ‘iconic’ moment,” Ninja said as all four icons gathered to heal up. “Everyone has their own skin,” Lachlan followed up. “That’s crazy to think about.” Read More: How to get the Predator skin in Fortnite – Collectively the squad boasts over 57 million subscribers on YouTube, with millions more supporting them across Twitch, Twitter, and other platforms. It’s undeniably one of the biggest powerhouse teams to ever drop into a game of Fortnite. Naturally, their first game together was an emphatic win. Not only did they get the victory with ease, but they even taunted their final enemy. Boxing the last player in and emoting at the same time to add insult to injury. Given the time zone differences and the ping difference between them, it’s likely this is a one-off spectacle. When future Icon Series skins are added, we could see new star-studded quads joining forces. But for now, this will go down as the most iconic Fortnite team yet.

  • Ninja and Tfue renew their rivalry in crucial Fortnite World Cup qualifier – Dexerto

Ninja and Tfue renew their rivalry in crucial Fortnite World Cup qualifier FaZe Clan / Epic Games / Twitch: NinjaTyler ‘Fortnite Battle Royale, and fans were treated to an epic showdown between the pair as they both attempted to qualify for the Fortnite World Cup. The Fortnite World Cup Finals take place in June, and with an incredible $30 million prize pool, it’s no surprise that players are fighting tooth and nail to secure a spot in the tournament which takes place in New York. With World Cup qualifiers taking place every week in the build up to the tournament, two of the game’s biggest stars did battle in the final day of the sixth week of qualifying, with both attempting to secure entry to the finals in July. Ninja takes down Tfue in Fortnite World Cup Qualifying With Week 6 giving teams of two the opportunity to qualify for the World Cup, Tfue teamed up with longtime FaZe duo Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lapore, while Ninja renewed his partnership with Malachi ‘Reverse2K’ Greiner, with both squads desperate to finally earn their place in New York City. Not only did the two teams end up in the same game, but during the sixth match of their 10 match session, Ninja and Tfue actually faced off, with only one able to stand tall over the other. With Ninja sitting on the high ground, and Tfue built into a box, it looked like a slow and methodical battle was on the way. But when Tfue stepped too close to a window in his hiding spot, Ninja rattled off three pinpoint shots with a Hunting Rifle to knock the FaZe Clan player, using Dynamite to put him down for good. While Ninja wasn’t streaming the qualifier, we were able to see Tfue’s reaction to the battle, who was clearly stunned that the former Halo pro was even able to see him there, never mind take him out. “What! He’s got an angle on me?” a frustrated Tfue told Cloak. “They’re dynamite spamming. It’s fucking Ninja, dude. Oh my god.” This isn’t the first time that Tfue and Ninja have locked horns, with Ninja taking some hilarious shots at Tfue following a battle in the game’s Arena Mode. Referencing a video uploaded by the FaZe Clan player, Ninja stated he was making his elimination of Tfue his “video title,” and was planning on making his thumbnail to show him knocking Tfue out. Did Ninja and Tfue qualify for the Fortnite World Cup? While Ninja may have gotten the better of Tfue in this exchange, neither of them managed to secure a place at the World Cup Finals, falling short in Week 6. Ninja and Reverse2K came closest to sealing qualification, winning three of their 10 games to finish on 86, missing out by just two points in seventh place. Tfue and Cloak finished 13th, securing 81 points across the final day of Week 6. While the FaZe Clan duo are yet to seal their place in July’s finals, Tfue knows that he’ll be there, as he qualified for the Solo portion of the tournament back in Week 3.

  • Ninja, Tfue, NickEh30 demand permanent no building mode in Fortnite amid Season 2 praise – Dexerto

Ninja, Tfue, NickEh30 demand permanent no building mode in Fortnite amid Season 2 praise Epic Games / IG: NickEh30 / YouTube: NinjaAfter diving into Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, Ninja, NickEh30, and Tfue were among many who called on Epic Games to make the ‘no building’ changes permanent, claiming it’s the most fun they’ve had in years. Building has always been an essential feature in Fortnite. It’s part of what makes the battle royale game unique from anything else on the market. However, players have long been asking Epic Games to add a no building mode for a while now, and they finally obliged. Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 kicked off with building temporarily disabled. Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Nick ‘NickEh30’ Amyoony were among many who have already been enjoying it so much, they’re calling for Epic Games to make it permanent. Ninja returned to Fortnite to check out the changes on March 21. After streaming it for around nine hours and producing some memorable moments along the way, he concluded it was the most fun he’s had on the game in a long time. “Fortnite with no building [is the] most fun I’ve had on Fortnite in years,” he said. It’s a sentiment that Timothy ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar shared too, after playing alongside him in a squad for several hours on stream. They weren’t the only ones either. After playing Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 for more than 12 hours, NickEh30 also agreed. “I never thought I’d say this, [but] Fortnite no building [is better than Fortnite with] building,” he said. “Without building, end-games feel so strategic!”the popular streamer added. “Positioning, awareness, rotations are so important now. Remember when you got your first win? That’s what winning feels like now since it’s a different obstacle to overcome!” For that reason, he urged Epic Games to make it permanent. “Fortnite needs to make no building a permanent mode,” he said. The tweet has been liked almost 40,000 times, suggesting the community is on board, too. Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney is also backing the idea of a long-term fixture too. “Fortnite without building should be a permanent thing,” he said. Dr Disrespect even replied to Tfue, admitting it was “fun” — which is something he never thought he’d say about Epic’s battle royale. Read More: How to upgrade Fortnite’s Omni Sword – So, all in all, Fortnite’s no building changes have been well-received far and wide. From former pros to many of the biggest social media icons, it appears to be a smash hit across the board. It’s even gotten some iconic streamers back into the game for a moment. But, we’ll have to wait and see whether it becomes permanent over the coming weeks.

  • Ninja, Tfue, Daequan and others react to finding major issue with new Combat Shotgun – Dexerto

Ninja, Tfue, Daequan and others react to finding major issue with new Combat Shotgun Epic Games vaulted the Pump Shotgun for Fortnite Season 9 and replaced it with the Combat Shotgun, a gun that may not be functioning properly, as evidenced by TSM Daequan Loco’s video. The removal of the Pump Shotgun for Season 9 has created a rift in the Fortnite community as it has been one of the constants since the launch of the game and without it, the game lacks a go-to weapon for many eliminations. Epic Games replaced this with the Combat Shotgun and while it has shotgun in the name, it’s nowhere near the level of the pump. In fact, TSM Daequan uploaded a video showing the problem with the shotgun. The Combat Shotgun is all over the place Daquan uploaded a video to Twitter showing how a direct headshot could do 131 damage, but could also do only 31, despite hitting in the exact same spot. The video seems pretty clear cut and showcases the problems with the shotgun as it is right now. The new shotgun is broken in a bad way. I knew somethin wasn’t right sometimes :rolling_on_the_floor_laughing::shrug::skin-tone-4:♂️ pic.twitter.com/5u173m6plp — Daequan (@TSM_Daequan) May 10, 2019 Fortnite pros and streamers weighed in on the video The video quickly amassed over 500,000 views thanks to names like Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins and Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney reacting to the seemingly broken shotgun. Tfue reacted to it with a simple Daquan gif of him saying “Trash” which has since become on Daquan’s catchphrases. Meanwhile, Ninja responded to it with simply “hmmmmm.” It’s clear something is wrong with the shotgun in its current state, it’s hard to really argue otherwise based on what was seen in that video. It’ll be interesting to see what Epic Games does in the coming days if more people start complaining. Ninja and Tfue has two of the loudest voices in the community so if changes are coming, it might have something to do with them. Last updated on Saturday May 11 at 07:40 EST Since Daequan’s video received considerable community attention, Epic Games employee Daniel Vogel has replied, stating that they are aware and looking into the issue. We will continue to keep you updated on Epic Games’ response, and any changes that they make to Fortnite Battle Royale.

  • Ninja & FaZe Tfue are not happy with “the worst bug in Fortnite” – Dexerto

Ninja & FaZe Tfue are not happy with “the worst bug in Fortnite” Ninja, Tfue – Twitch / Epic Games, FortnitePopular Twitch streamers and Fornite pros Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Turner ‘FaZe Tfue’ Tenney are none too pleased with a major glitch discovered in the game’s Season 8 patch. Since Fortnite’s Season 8 patch dropped on February 28, players and personalities alike have had a field day discovering fresh content for the title – but some are more pleased with the new season than others. Tfue took note of a unique glitch in the game during a live stream shortly after the update went live, in which characters seem to float slowly in the air while players try to land in the map. [Timestamp: 0:48 for mobile viewers] “And I’m landing five seconds late, let’s go,” Tfue said sarcastically as he made an attempt to land. Notable streamer and commentator ‘CouRage’ speculated that the glitch might be “the worst bug that’s ever been in Fortnite,” to which Tfue appeared to agree. https://gamerant.com/fortnite-season-8-week-1-challenges/Ninja likewise expressed frustration with the bug, asking Epic to remedy to the glitch during his own stream of the game. “Dude, Epic, if you’re watching, if there’s anyone watching, fix the glitch, dude,” Ninja said of the bug. “I’m tired of my guy floating up in the sky when I’m trying to land.” Glad everyone’s enjoying the new season because I’m sure not :skin-tone-2: — Tfue (@TTfue) February 28, 2019 Tfue himself has stated that he isn’t a fan of Fortnite’s Season 8 update, as told in a somber Tweet on February 28. “Glad everyone’s enjoying the new season, because I’m sure not,” Tfue wrote, much to fans’ surprise. Tenney went on to note that Epic hadn’t fixed ramp peeking, as well as voiced his displeasure that the Infantry Rifle hadn’t yet been vaulted – despite its status as “the worst and least reliable weapon.”

  • Ninja tells CouRage to stick to Apex Legends after embarrassing Fortnite fail – Dexerto

Ninja tells CouRage to stick to Apex Legends after embarrassing Fortnite fail Epic Games/Ninja/CourageTwitch star Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop was mocked by fellow streaming star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins after a brutal Fortnite fail, suggesting he should stick to Apex Legends. Ninja is perhaps the best-known Fortnite player in history, setting a Twitch subscription record during the height of his career. As such, he’s earned the right to put others on blast for their misplays. Blevins didn’t miss an opportunity to do just that after CouRage botched a one-on-one gunfight at close range despite having a glorious chance to secure the frag. CouRage gets roasted by Ninja on Fortnite After firing some shots in an attempt to expose his opponent, the target CouRage was after managed to get behind him and win out the fight in an encounter the streamer clearly wished he could have back. “F**k man!” CouRage swore, finishing 17th overall. “Stick to Apex, dude,” Ninja was quick to mock, referring his friend to Respawn’s rival battle royale. (Segment begins at 10:38) Not wanting to take the insult lightly, Dunlop retorted, commenting that Ninja was “ass.” Eventually, this resulted in the two exchanging screams over their mics with Ninja crying out about how he didn’t even have a shotgun. “One vs one me, you p*ssy!” Blevins continued as the screaming match continued. While the back and forth was certainly in good fun and there was no malicious intent, it’s good to see some smack talk between the two. Hopefully, Ninja’s ribbing can inspire CouRage to perform a bit better next time and secure those kills in one-on-ones where he has a bit of an edge.

  • Ninja teases long-awaited Fortnite comeback – Dexerto

Ninja teases long-awaited Fortnite comeback ninja Twitch / Epic GamesStream star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is hyping up his return to Fortnite after months of absence, and fans are already looking forward to a throwback at the game that launched his career. Fortnite and Ninja’s explosion in popularity was synchronous back around 2018. The game had evolved from a fun sandbox shooter to an intense arena where building had become just as important as shooting. Personalities would shine in this regard, and that’s what contributed to the former Halo pro outgrowing a niche stream community fandom to being the most popular gamer in the world. That could be why people are getting excited to see the streamer make his way back to the battle royale that produced so many classic Ninja moments on the channel. Ninja tweeted out his intention to return to Fortnite with a simple thumbnail that showed the game was updating, or getting ready to be played. This immediately got thousands of his fans interested. Even entities like KFC Gaming chimed in, seeing as they had a trolling presence in Fortnite at one time themselves. After Mixer had shut down, Ninja made a brief return to Twitch with a surprise Fortnite stream. But with the rise of other popular games, he’d hardly touched the title since returning. In the past few months, Ninja’s been rather taken with Riot’s titles in League of Legends and Valorant. He’s logged more than 800 hours between the two in the last 180 days, according to data by SullyGnone. While we’ve been seeing classic Ninja moments in titles like LoL, it seems a lot of people are still hyped to see him drop from the battle bus instead. Ninja has had some of his best moments in broadcasting on the Fortnite island, and people won’t have to wait long before seeing the popular streamer on the grind again.

Ninja teams up with K-Pop group iKON to debut Fortnite’s new Detonation mode Red Bull Esports / PinterestTwitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and K-Pop group iKON brought fans together for their special ‘Ninja x iKON’ event, which showcased Fortnite’s new Detonation mode. After a long day of qualifiers on March 16, players were able to score a chance to play against popular Fortnite streamer Ninja – alongside iKON, who even received a special skin and emote just for the event. In fact, the event marked iKON’s very first appearance in the United States, who may have teased a possible upcoming tour across the country. iKON claimed that they loved Fortnite due to the game’s emotes, and said that their dream squad would include Ninja and rapper Drake, who went live with the streamer in 2018. The group went on to play Fortnite’s brand-new ‘Detonation: Attack vs Defend’ Creative island, and afterwards gave fans a special performance of their song ‘Love Scenario.’ While iKON’s performance was the highlight of the evening, a trailer for Fortnite’s new Detonation mode also marked a major win for the event, gifting users a new method of play for a limited time. Detonation: Attack vs Defend tasks attackers with destroying two objectives on the map, while defenders must protect the objectives for a grueling 10 minute time limit. While the Creative mode was produced specifically for Samsung’s Level Up event, players can cop iKON’s exclusive skin by purchasing Samsung Galaxy S10, S10+ and S10e Android devices.

  • Ninja teaches Jimmy Fallon the Pon Pon Dance, explains why Fortnite is so successful – Dexerto

Ninja teaches Jimmy Fallon the Pon Pon Dance, explains why Fortnite is so successful The Tonight ShowTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins made a guest appearance on The Tonight Show where he discussed his own success, the popularity of Fortnite and even got Jimmy Fallon to break out the Pon Pon dance. The successful Twitch streamer, who currently has the top Twitch channel on the entire platform with over 12.5 million followers, discussed a number of things with the famous TV show host. Before the pair got up and danced in front of the audience, though, Fallon addressed Ninja’s success in building a huge following on Twitch, but wanted to know more about how Fortnite had become such a big thing. Ninja explained that the reasons behind the popularity of the battle royale game are much more simpler than some might think. He said: “Back in the day, I had to do so many chores just to get my mom to get me a video game, because they were pretty expensive. 30 dollars, 40 dollars, and three years later, fifty dollars and now they’re like fifty bucks a pop. “A lot of families usually have one console, and it’s [Fortnite] also on every single platform imaginable. Everyone can play with each other – Xbox, Playstation, PC – it doesn’t matter where you are. You can all play with your friends so it connects people around the world, it’s free to play and it’s super fun.” Fallon also quizzed Ninja on the question of kids becoming addicted to the game. In his answer, Blevins simply suggested that if parents are concerned about their children’s performance in school because of playing too many video games, they should take the game away from them. To wrap things up, Ninja decided to teach Jimmy Fallon his famous Pon Pon dance to seal an interesting late-night television appearance from the mega-popular streamer.

  • Ninja takes shot at Tfue after eliminating him from Fortnite Arena game – Dexerto

Ninja takes shot at Tfue after eliminating him from Fortnite Arena game L: Ninja/Twitch. R: Tfue/Twitch.Turner ‘Fortnite Battle Royale, with Ninja finally getting the better of the meeting – before taking some hilarious shots at the popular pro player. Tfue and Ninja have a long-standing history of taking each other on in Fortnite Battle Royale games with the former Halo player once accusing Tfue of hacking after the FaZe Clan player was able to kill him off. They added another chapter to their personal history books before taking part in the most recent session of Fortnite World Cup qualifying, with Ninja getting in some spicy shots after getting the better of the FaZe pro. Ninja takes down Tfue The popular Fortnite Battle Royale streamers, unsuspectingly, run into each other at Loot Lake – with Tfue engaged in battle with another team. However, he lost his duo partner Cloak to a falling elimination and was jumped on by another player before he had time to change up his approach. However, it was Ninja who dived on him with his trusty Shotgun and eliminated Tfue from their final World Cup qualifying warm-up game as the FaZe Clan pro tried to edit his building around the popular streamer in a bid to escape. While Ninja was zeroed in and solely focused on the game, his duo partner for the game, Malachi ‘Reverse2k’ Greiner, took a quick moment to celebrate. “Wooh, that was Tfue – let’s go Ninj!” he pointed out. After coming to the realization that it was the popular FaZe Clan star who he took down, Ninja afforded himself a brief few seconds to take shots at one of their previous in-game meetings. While building towards his next opponent, the streamer called out: “I gotta put that on my YouTube title and make it my thumbnail of me knocking him out – like he did to me last time.” However, his brief celebration turned to anguish as Ninja was quickly eliminated by another foe who beat him to their build battle. Yet, he was still able to revel in the fact that he had ruined an important game for Tfue and scored some high-class YouTube content in the meantime. Tfue reacts to Ninja’s kill On the flip side, Tfue didn’t even realize that it was Ninja who had killed him until later on when one of his viewers informed of the fact. Instead of sticking around and seeing how the game unfolded, he and his partner Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore quickly moved out of the match and headed back to the pre-game lobby, waiting for the qualifying session to get underway. Did Ninja or Tfue qualify for the World Cup? Neither Ninja or Tfue were successful in their bid to qualify for the duos portion of the World Cup this time around. Despite that, Tfue has already secured a solo spot for himself and celebrated with a few drinks on stream. However, it seemed he took his celebrations just that step too far as his girlfriend, Corinna Kopf, called time on things and shut his stream down. For Ninja, it’s back to the drawing board as he, once again, tries to qualify for the biggest esports tournament in history. While he may have gotten some sliver of revenge over Tfue with a kill, and a new highlight video, the FaZe Clan pro can still hold his qualifying spot over Ninja in their ‘rivalry.’

  • Ninja takes aim at FaZe Tfue and TSM Myth for complaining about Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja takes aim at FaZe Tfue and TSM Myth for complaining about Fortnite FaZe Clan/Ninja, Twitch/Myth, TwitterTwitch sensation Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has hit back at Fortnite pro players like Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani for expressing their annoyance at the current state of the popular battle royale title. Ninja was playing Fortnite alongside Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo, Timothy ‘Timthetatman’ Betar and Ryan ‘Chap’ Chapo when Team Liquid star Chapo began to complain about some of the in-game sounds, saying that he “hated” them. Blevins immediately responded: “Chap, try not to sound so angry. We need more positive pro players man. It’s funny you mention it, I’m sick of all these people who make a living off this game and blew up because of it, and then they say this game is terrible. Well you know what, you don’t have to play it!” When the squad began talking about the unpopular Mounted Turret item, DrLupo brought up Team SoloMid’s Myth, who tweeted out that whoever thought the item was a good idea should be fired, a tweet which Ninja thought was disrespectful. “Myth, dude, once you go to these people and you game for a long time and you meet these developers,” stated Ninja, “Especially when you’re in a position like Myth – when you tweet something like that, it’s very rude.” Blevins also took aim at FaZe Clan’s Tfue, saying: “I just love how all the pros and people who try and compete in this game just hate everything. I was watching Tfue’s stream, the amount of times he’s called 90% of the competitive stuff dogshit, like tournaments and stuff? I just don’t get it bro.” While Ninja has seen immense growth streaming Fortnite casually, the Luminosity Gaming member has also found success in the competitive side of the game. The former Halo pro player took part in the Fortnite Winter Royale qualifiers, finishing in 150th place in North America to secure his place in the continental finals. Both Tfue and Myth have refrained from responding to Ninja’s comments, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as this story continues.

  • Ninja & SypherPK think Fortnite should copy Warzone’s player count – Dexerto

Ninja & SypherPK think Fortnite should copy Warzone’s player count Mixer: Ninja/Epic GamesStreaming stars Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan have suggested that Fortnite should follow in the footsteps of Call of Duty: Warzone and expand the number of players in one lobby. Ever since Fortnite’s battle royale mode launched back in 2017, it has become the gold standard for games trying to replicate its magic. However, with Call of Duty: Warzone making its mark on the battle royale genre, players have made the switch. Now, Warzone doesn’t quite have the cartoon-like feel or incredible amount of cosmetics like Fortnite, but it has a few features up its sleeve that creators like Ninja and SypherPK would like to see Epic Games replicate. During a recent set of games between the pair, they suggested that the Fortnite map is big enough to handle more players in one lobby. “This map is 40% bigger than the last map and it has the same amount of players, it’s flawed,” said Ninja. The Mixer star added that Epic Games should bump the play count up in line with Warzone – at least to see how it would work. “They should try 125,” he added. “Do an LTM (limited-time mode) with 150/125 (players).” SypherPK noted that while some players might have concerns about lag and game performance, it would probably be fine. “People always say ‘oh, there’s going to be lag’ but not in pubs. I’ve got a solid 27 ping, east or west, everything feels smooth – at the beginning of the match too when there is 100 people, he added. “I’m sure the pub servers could handle 125, even 150.” While lobbies have been limited to 100 players, Epic’s special events have shown that they might have the capacity to deal with the extra demand of another 25 to 50 players. Whether or not they’ll choose to mirror Warzone and increase their player count in matches, however, is something only they have the answer to – even if it something players are wanting.

Ninja and SypherPK form star duo for Fortnite FNCS Chapter 2: Season 2 Epic Games / Twitter: Ninja / Twitter: SypherPKIt’s official — Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan will be joining forces for the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) Chapter 2: Season 2 Duos tournament after Ninja split from previous partner Malachi ‘Reverse2k’ Greiner. Ninja and SypherPK will be partnering up in duos for the first time since 2018, with the Fortnite stars announcing they’re getting together for FNCS on March 16. The two will be making their return to competitive Fortnite after a short hiatus since Chapter 2: Season 2 kicked off, with both players set on grinding back to the top. SypherPK put out a statement attached to a March 16, stating he’s determined to show how far he has come as a player, as well as together as a duo with Ninja. “We’re reuniting again for duo FNCS,” he said. “We’re gonna try it out and see what goes down. We’re both much better players, and we’ve both played a lot more since then, and hopefully this time we can pull out a few things and come out with some good performances and results.” Ninja and SypherPK have a little bit of competitive experience together, duoing in the Fall Skirmish Series back in September 2018. However, they failed to really make their mark, finishing in 44th. Ninja and Reverse2k announced their split on March 11 just days after the latest FNCS announcement. The duo had reportedly lost their synergy, often arguing during scrims due to differing expectations, the pair confirmed. The Mixer star also noted scrims had been plagued with performance issues, with players “getting shot through walls” and “teleporting” among other server problems, and that was killing his competitive drive in the game. Marcus ‘Ranger’ Pereira, Sypher’s former duo partner, will be joining forces with Andre ‘Typical Gamer’ Rebelo. It comes after Ranger and Sypher played together in the World Cup qualifiers in 2019, as well as the Winter Royale in December. I will be playing with @TypicalGamer for the duos fncs coming up, easy W. — Ranger (@RangerMJP) March 10, 2020 While the two bring a lot of name value to the table, fans are waiting to see how they’ll stack up against proven players like Solos World Cup champion Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf and his duo ‘Stretch’. The FNCS Chapter 2: Season 2 duos tournament kicks off on March 20, with four weeks of action on the cards before the Season Finals.

  • Ninja & SypherPK find terrible Fortnite stone that traps you inside – Dexerto

Ninja & SypherPK find terrible Fortnite stone that traps you inside Epic Games released Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 on March 20th with some changes and exciting skins. But there appear to be a few bugs in the game, putting a damper on the fun, as found by Ninja & SypherPK. Fortnite is no stranger to bugs. Bugs have impacted each season of Fortnite as Epic Games has created update patches to address massive and small problems alike. For example, April 2021 saw a Fortnite bug causing players’ screens to shift sideways, making the game almost unplayable for some. So, when two of the most popular streamers on Twitch stream a two-day-old season of Fortnite for their communities to enjoy, you have to wonder, “what could go wrong?” Nothing for a good period until the two streamers accidentally discovered a bug that rendered them motionless. Ninja & SypherPK discover a bug in Fortnite As the two streamers hid to gather their bearings, Ninja & SypherPK slipped into an unsuspecting crevice. Located northwest of Shifty Shafts, the duo dropped down into the cracks and, to their surprise, became stuck. SypherPK’s character was motionless in mid-air while Ninja’s character was frozen in a crouching state. Unfortunately, Ninja & SypherPK only had a little time before the storm came in swooping, so this position was less than ideal. Both streamers attempted everything to try and break from the bug-ridden state, but were ultimately unsuccessful. In the end, they were swallowed by the purple haze, leading to a frustrated Ninja. What caused the bug? While the cause of the bug is unknown, we can hope Epic will fix it soon. Ninja & SypherPK are two of the most popular streamers, and with so many eyes on them, it’s hard to fathom that an Epic Games employee wouldn’t see this issue. so @Sypherpk and I are having a wonderful day in Fortnite today XD pic.twitter.com/BkbEhCxF35 — Ninja (@Ninja) March 22, 2022 So, if you’ve been recently stuck between these particular rocks, then it is a good chance it is all a part of the “Shifty Shaft bug.” Of course, its hard to say whether its just Shifty Shaft impacted by this glitch but we are sure to find out as the seasons presses on. Hopefully Epic Games can fix this issue sooner rather than a later date. Check out the Epic Games page for all the latest updates and patch notes.

  • Ninja & SypherPK explain why Epic removing mobility in Fortnite isn’t bad – Dexerto

Ninja & SypherPK explain why Epic removing mobility in Fortnite isn’t bad Superstar Mixer streamer Ninja and his Twitch counterpart SypherPK aren’t buying into the lack of mobility in Fortnite Chapter 2 being such a bad thing, instead offering an explanation for why Epic Games may have gone down that route. The release of Chapter 2 brought the biggest wave of changes to Fortnite in the game’s two-year history, including the introduction of a brand new map for the first time ever. Epic Games also considerably reduced the number of different weapons and items available in the game, stripping the loot pool to only what was absolutely necessary. This meant that virtually all mobility options were removed, even Launch Pads, which had been in the game since back in Season 1. Discussing the game’s finer points with Luminosity Gaming streamer SypherPK, Ninja revealed that, as a result of this reset, he was having a lot more fun playing Fortnite in Chapter 2, even without mobility. Read More: Dakotaz can’t believe he “triggered” Ninja – “I’m falling in love with this game all over again,” he said. “The game’s just so good man, they’ve done such a good job with Chapter 2.” Ninja & SypherPK on lack of mobility in Fortnite Chapter 2 One of the biggest criticisms Fortnite players have had of this Chapter 2 loot pool reset concerns the lack of mobility options, such as Launch Pads, Impulse/Shockwave Grenades, Rift-to-Go’s, and more. However, when a viewer brought that point up in his chat, Ninja and SypherPK maintained that it wasn’t as bad as everyone was making it out to be “Guys, it doesn’t NEED Launch Pads, it doesn’t NEED mobility,” he said. “You know what’s crazy: making the game fun, without mobility. What that does, in a way, it resets the game,” SypherPK added. “So now when they add mobility, it’s going to be that fresh feeling like when they first added Launch Pads, or Rift-to-Go’s, and everyone went crazy over those.” (Segment starts at 0:16 mark for mobile users) Ninja believes Epic “needed to” reset Fortnite Ninja then took the point of mobility being removed to a much broader angle, explaining why Epic’s decision to essentially reset Fortnite at the start of Chapter 2 was the key to making the game be a lot more appealing to play. “They’re taking their time,” he said. “They needed to reset the game entirely. Think of how long it took them to add anything in Fortnite when it first came out. At the end of [Chapter 1], look at how crazy it was.” “When they came out with Chapter 2, they completely reset it,” he went on. “They brought it back to square one, very small loot pool. They couldn’t keep adding without making it the stupidest, craziest game ever. Now look, they’ve got a great, great game again.” Ninja has high hopes for Fortnite in 2020 Despite only existing for the final third of the decade, Fortnite will go down as among the best and most popular games of the 2010s, and certainly the most successful. Ninja believes that the game will build on that going into the new year, as it seems Epic Games have found their groove again with Chapter 2. “I’m just so pumped, so pumped,” he said. “They’re on such a good trajectory right now.”

  • Ninja suffers hilarious Quadcrasher knockdown at the hands of his own teammate – Dexerto

Ninja suffers hilarious Quadcrasher knockdown at the hands of his own teammate Twitch megastar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins was the unfortunate victim of a crazy knockdown after getting hit by a Quadcrasher – but not by an enemy, by his own teammate! Ninja was playing alongside Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo, Timothy ‘Timthetatman’ Betar and Team Liquid’s Ryan ‘Chap’ Chapo, when the squad spotted enemies on the outskirts of Tomato Temple on the north-east side of the map. DrLupo was driving a Quadcrasher with Blevins perched on the back when they spotted their opponents, and after an unsuccessful attempt at a backflip on the vehicle, Ninja hopped off and began to build his way up towards the players with his driver building up beside him. As Lupo and Ninja got close to their opponents, they began to build ramps side-by-side, trying to cut off their enemies who were trying to use ramps to build above them. Just as Blevins jumped onto a newly placed ramp, another Quadcrasher driven by Chap appeared out of nowhere, crashing into Ninja and sending him flying high into the air. “What? What!” screamed Ninja as he soar through the air and landed on top of a tree, completely flabbergasted at what had just happened to him. “I need a pick up! What are you doing Chap!” Ninja didn’t get much sympathy from his teammates, who burst into laughter at the event, and then focused on taking out their opponents rather than helping their fallen comrade. Chap could only apologize for his hilarious error, before revealing that this wasn’t the first incident he’s had while piloting a Quadcrasher, saying: “Why do I always kill everyone? I’ve done it to everyone so far, I’ve killed Tim and Lupo with it, I don’t know how.” We’re willing to bet that Ninja will definitely be keeping his eye on the Team Liquid star the next time he takes control of one of the vehicles!

  • Ninja suffers a hilarious fail while using Fortnite’s Guided Missile – Dexerto

Ninja suffers a hilarious fail while using Fortnite’s Guided Missile Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is widely recognised as one of the most talented Fortnite players in the world. However, even the best can fall foul to silly mistakes, as Ninja hilariously showed during a recent stream. Ninja was streaming Fortnite alongside Timthetatman, Dr Lupo and Minnesota Twins baseball player Trevor May when the squad found themselves pinned down by an opposing team sitting above them on a hill near Retail Row. The group began to build in an attempt to protect themselves from the bombardment of bullets raining down on them from the enemy force, with Ninja building a ramp, and pulling out his Guided Missile Launcher, ready to take on their opponents. As Ninja fired his Guided Missile, instead of firing into the sky, the rocket went straight forward, crashing into the ramp he had built and dealing damage to the streamer. “Did you just blow yourself up?” asked Mays. “No,” replied Blevins, cheekily smirking to the camera. Now on the ground, Ninja tried the manoeuvre once more, with the rocket again firing straight forward, colliding with a wall built by one of Ninja’s teammates and doing more damage to Blevins. Finally, with obstacles cleared, Ninja had his chance to fire a rocket towards the opponents. Unfortunately for Blevins, Dr Lupo decided to build a wall right in front of Ninja just as he shot, and Ninja could only watch as his rocket crashed into the newly erected structure and knocked him to the ground. “I did that dude, I totally did that dude,” apologized Dr Lupo as he revived his fallen teammate. “There’s a medkit in here, don’t worry!” Ninja’s comical clip just goes to show that no matter how many times you play a game, nobody is safe from making a disastrous, but hilarious, mistake!

  • Ninja stunned after finding “busted” Fortnite exploit at new POI – Dexerto

Ninja stunned after finding “busted” Fortnite exploit at new POI Ninja and SypherPK were left stunned after discovering an exploit at the new The Collider POI that makes players invincible. Epic Games released the final update for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 adding a brand new POI: The Collider. This IO base houses a new Doomsday Device set to break havoc on the island at the end of the season. However, it seems the POI is already causing trouble as it’s introduced a new overpowered exploit. The feet of the device is supposed to be solid objects, but streamers Ninja and SypherPK found a sneaky way to get inside them. Hiding in the structure not only renders a player immune to bullet damage but also allows them to heal and prep for battle. However, the concrete block doesn’t negate the effects of storm damage. Ninja baffled by “busted” Fortnite exploit Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins hopped into a party with SypherPK to check out the new Fortnite POI. However, they didn’t expect to find a couple of players hiding inside the Doomsday Device. While dominating at The Collider, Ninja chases two players near the foot of the Doomsday Device. To his surprise, both players had walked through the solid object Platform 9 3/4 style. Shocked, Ninja stammered on coms attempting to relay what he had just seen to Sypher. “I’m in the ground! There’s a guy in the ground getting rezzed,” he said. They quickly discovered how to use a Shockwave grenade to push players out of the structure. But while inside the slab of concrete, players can’t deal damage to one another. This led to a hilarious moment where Sypher, Ninja, and a stranger danced together before leaving the structure to engage in combat. “That’s busted, bro,” commented Sypher before jokingly spouting off an intro to a tutorial video for the exploit. “The #1 place for free Arena points, right here guys!” Another clip shows the Slone boss being able to fire bullets through another portion of the Doomsday Device which makes it seem as if more portions of the structure are hollow. Hopefully, Epic Games will patch this soon as multiple competitive tournaments are scheduled for the near future. Players hiding in the impenetrable concrete box could spoil the fun for other players. For more Fortnite, check out the details for the Ali-A Icon Skin, and stay tuned for more news and guides.

  • Ninja’s stream sniper hit by Fortnite banhammer with impeccable timing – Dexerto

Ninja’s stream sniper hit by Fortnite banhammer with impeccable timing Epic Games / Ninja TwitchFortnite’s biggest Twitch streamers like Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Benjamin ‘DrLupo’ Lupo and more are routinely chased around the island by persistent stream snipers, making this mid-match ban all the more satisfying. Epic Games have been cracking down on cheaters in their battle royale, and the latest instance shows a swift swing from the developers’ banhammer hitting an infamous sniper at just the right time. Ninja and his team of streamers were fighting their way out of Tilted Towers when all of a sudden their team was being heavily focused by an attacking squad from their flank. Ninja and co. stream sniped by TC Troy The streamers initially seemed stunned at the “no-skin” players that were overwhelming them, until they got a look at who was leading the charge, saying: “Oh, its TC Troy!” Read more: Fortnite World Cup date and venue confirms Season 10 will impact tournament After the stream snipers had wiped most of the team, DrLupo tried to reason with the cheaters, saying: “Imma be honest, I might be dead. Hey Troy, I have 9 HP. I’m trying to get my health to 100 if you can please wait.” They didn’t wait, instead they quickly eliminated Lupo and had their sights trained on the sole survivor, Ninja. With a decked out inventory consisting of Rare/Epic weapons and no one left to back him up, it seemed like Ninja would have to give his final stand against the infamous stream sniper. TC Troy gets hit by the banhammer As the popular Twitch streamer was refilling his shields, a notification popped up on the kill feed that sent Twitch Chat in a roar of laughter. “YouTube TC Troy was struck by the banhammer” It took the streamers a bit to realize that Troy had been taken out mid-game, but after they did there was a small cheer of justice with all the streamers synchronizing the default dance at the start screen. It took the streamers a bit to realize that Troy had been taken out mid-game, but after they did there was a small cheer of justice with all the streamers synchronizing the default dance at the start screen. Following the ban, DrLupo expressed hope that Epic Games would go so far to IP ban the sniper instead of just the account, so time will tell if the streamers have been relieved of this sniper for good.

  • Ninja left speechless after being stream-sniped during a Fortnite World Cup Qualifier – Dexerto

Ninja left speechless after being stream-sniped during a Fortnite World Cup Qualifier Epic Games / Ninja TwitchPopular Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Fortnite World Cup qualifying match by an apparent stream-sniper. Even with numerous tools at their disposal, Fortnite streamers are repeatedly at the mercy of stream-snipers who sometimes go to incredible lengths to face-off against notable players. In one of his last qualifiers of the day, Ninja had landed at Lazy Lagoon thinking he was alone but quickly noticed that the point of interest had become a hotbed. Promising game cut short Ninja knew that he needed a big game in the final game in order to reach a higher point threshold and increase his chances at qualifying for the finals. “I need what, like a 20 point game,” Ninja wondered. “So I need eight kills and a win. Well, I mean, I’ve done it before and I have the kit right now so I’m not going to ruin it.” Being alone at the pirate ship allowed Ninja to obtain the loot necessary to get a good game going but a suspicious player looking to third-party the popular streamer stopped his run in its tracks. Suspicious stream-sniper Ninja was in a heated build battle with another player he had engaged just before being third-partied. The streamer was trying to get some distance between him and the other player who had captured the high-ground. Then, before he knew it, someone had used a Rift-a-go to swoop down on him and eliminate him. Even for amateur players, it would make sense to use a Rift to get the best possible position when trying to third-party. But taking a risky strategy like that in a lobby filled with some of the more adept Fortnite players seemed to confuse Ninja. “Any particular reason…” Ninja cut off thinking why this player in question would show up at the opportune moment. “No idea where this guy comes from by the way, at all. But here he is, that’s his second Rift that he’s taken. Gets the airdrop, Rifts, dives on the fight… Ugh, that’s unfortunate.” The lead-up and the eventual elimination left a lot of questions unanswered, but the incident won’t stop Ninja from trying to make a deep run in this year’s Fortnite World Cup.

  • Ninja snaps at “brain-rot children” bugging him about Fortnite build mode – Dexerto

Ninja snaps at “brain-rot children” bugging him about Fortnite build mode FortniteNinja has had it with “brain-rot children” nagging him to play in build mode in Fortnite. In a fiery rant, the 33-year-old streamer made it clear he’s done with the mode and won’t listen to the demands of “five-year-olds.” Ninja, who skyrocketed to fame in 2017 for his Fortnite skills, was a build-mode prodigy, wowing fans with his quick edits and intricate structures. When Ninja began streaming Fortnite, he was a spry 26-year-old. Today, he’s 33, a veteran of the streaming wars, and isn’t one to shy away from how he really feels about topics. In a streaming clip shared on his official YouTube channel, Ninja didn’t mince words about why he flat-out refuses to play build mode in Fortnite any longer. “It’s astonishing that children – because that’s who they are – are trying to gaslight me into thinking I should play builds,” Ninja slammed, “I’m 33 years old. I want 40 ping maximum. I’m never going to play builds again.” Ninja’s rant delved deep into his disdain for build mode and the “kids” who harass him about it. “No one cares now,” he spat. “Building used to get b*tches. It doesn’t anymore, bro.” He didn’t stop there. Ninja lambasted parents for raising what he termed “brain-rot children” who heckle him online. “I’ll yell at their parents for raising a freaking brain-rot child,” he fumed. “I’m playing for a different generation now.” In the end, Ninja’s message was loud and clear: He’s moved on from build mode, and expects his fans to as well. The “kids” might not like it, but as far as Ninja is concerned, they can crank 90s by themselves while he sticks to Zero Build mode.

  • Ninja slams streamers “bashing” Fortnite Season 9: “They’ll be back” – Dexerto

Ninja slams streamers “bashing” Fortnite Season 9: “They’ll be back” Ninja / TwitchTwitch star Tyler ‘Fortnite, calling out the game in waves of negative comments. Epic Games launched the next era for Fortnite with the anticipated release of Season 9 on May 9 which introduced a bevy of new content for players to jump into, but people have still been expressing their displeasure with the game. Ninja is not only one of Twitch’s most popular personalities, but he’s also been one of the most consistent Fortnite streamers. Ninja thinks a lot of people will be returning to Fortnite soon While there seems to be a large group of notable players and influencers who have hinted or blatantly said they’re leaving the game for good, Ninja doesn’t think the exodus is going to keep people away from the title. “They’ll be back when their viewer count goes down, their sub count goes down,” Ninja predicted. “Or when they realize there’s no other game that’s fun.” The streamer was so sure about the ongoing trend of people leaving Fortnite just to return later, that he put big money on the line, saying: “I bet you like 20 grand to any charity, that like 90% of the people that said they were going to quit are going to [come back.]” It is frustrating seeing all the influencers constantly bash and rip the game to shreds yet continue to upload Fortnite clips to youtube, twitter, and instagram. Constructive criticism is good and delivering your message correctly to your audience should be most important. — Ninja (@Ninja) May 9, 2019 Even though the game is still plenty fun for Ninja, he says it’s “frustrating” to see so many people give harsh comments about Fortnite while still making content off the title. “It is frustrating seeing all the influencers constantly bash and rip the game to shreds yet continue to upload Fortnite clips to YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram,” Ninja said. Even worse, Ninja says the constant wave of hate from influencers can “kill” the game if opinions tend to be more hateful than constructive. “I guarantee you there’s people who are loving this season,” Ninja said. “But if they watch their favorite broadcaster and favorite YouTuber just complaining about the game, they might lose interest in it man. Like you want to know how to kill a game? Besides, you know, making a bad game. You have all the influencers who only express their negative opinion, [like] what happened to Halo: Reach.” Time will tell if Fortnite will get buried under the mound of negative sentiments toward it, but it doesn’t look like Ninja will be one to add to the pile anytime soon.

  • Ninja slams his chat for backseat gaming in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Dexerto

Ninja slams his chat for backseat gaming in Fortnite Chapter 2 Fortnite star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins hit out at his chat after spectators were quick to critique his gameplay following a flurry of misplaced shots. Fortnite Chapter 2 is in full-flow and players all around the world are quickly acclimating to their new environment and the changes made to the battle royale’s dynamics. Epic Games have made a host of changes to the second iteration of their flagship title, including the introduction of a brand-new nautical mode of transport and the ability to fish for items. However, it is the alterations to the in-game mechanics that has left Ninja seething. Players cast a spoon in a bid to get better loot. Fortnite’s venture to a new map hasn’t been plain sailing though, and has come with its repercussions, given the surfeit of issues that have surfaced since Chapter 2’s release on October 15 — with one of the most common issues being the stuttering frame rate. Aside from the performance issues, some are still getting to grips with the new take on the popular battle royale. Perhaps most notably, Fortnite frontman, Ninja, appears to be struggling with his transition to the new generation of his staple game. While livestreaming, Ninja found himself in a series of one-on-one duels, which would typically prove to be light work for the Fortnite star. However, after letting off some rogue shots, Ninja found himself on the unfamiliar side of the head-to-head encounters. After absorbing his blunder of his misfired shots, Blevins adjusted his in-game sensitivity before letting off some steam directed towards his chat: “Listen guys, I need all of you guys to stop giving me advice. Okay?!” Blevins continued: “I don’t need to stick with the team more; it wasn’t a bad push; I wasn’t too aggressive… I literally f**king choked.” Evidently frustrated, Ninja was initially hypothesizing that Epic Games could have made some silent changes to the in-game fundamentals, since the game felt foreign. Although the switch over to Chapter 2 has proven to be a bumpy road thus far, it will likely just be a matter of time before we see Ninja back on top and making light work of his opposition.

  • Ninja slams “awful” Fortnite Season 2 meta – Dexerto

Ninja slams “awful” Fortnite Season 2 meta Epic Games / Ninja, MixerTyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins has stated his new found love for Fortnite Chapter 2 after Epic Games made some huge changes to kickstart Season 2, although he doesn’t seem to be a fan of the new meta. The second season has introduced a number of features that just didn’t exist in the Fortnite world in seasons gone by, with NPC characters protecting vaults in different corners of the map and dropping some really powerful weapons when they’re eliminated. After being asked about the game’s latest update during one of his Mixer streams, Ninja – the platform’s largest streamer – made it crystal clear that he thinks weapons that give players the ability to spray are the strongest in the game right now. But, how does he feel about that? The 28-year-old was playing through a few games of the battle royale stalwart, as normal, before he was forced to play on the defensive after noticing opponents were spraying with some of the new weapons. The speed of guns like the Minigun, Drum Gun and Rapid Fire SMG are giving some players the edge in Fortnite at the moment, but there aren’t a lot of them available to find on the map. He just found himself healing constantly when coming into contact with them after coming off worse in various gunfights. Following an elimination, Ninja said: “Solos are the worst, this is going to be awful bro. Oh my god, I just got sprayed by two Miniguns man. One of those was a Mythic Minigun too. Crazy man.” (Timestamp in the video below at 1:46). Despite claiming to be “in love” with the new season, stating that the feel of the game has gone back to what it was when it was originally released, including the return of “quick eliminations”, Ninja does have a problem with the spraying meta. He continued: “The spray meta dude. There’s just no way they’re going to change anything for a while and I just got to get used to it. I literally played one game of solos and I knew it was going to happen. I eventually ran into the Mythic Drum Gun, LMG or Minigun, and got my ass handed to me.” Blevins, of course, is already on record saying that Mythic guns are a problem in Season 2, comparing their abilities to that of a “laser”, although perhaps when he gets to use the weapons, he may change his mind. Sometimes big streamers and pro players are accused of complaining too much about Fortnite when things change in-game, but to be fair, Ninja seems up for the challenge of adapting his game to handle the new meta.

  • Ninja Showcases The Power of SMG’s in Fortnite Following Recent Patch – “I absolutely love the Drum Gun” – Dexerto

Ninja Showcases The Power of SMG’s in Fortnite Following Recent Patch – “I absolutely love the Drum Gun” In the most recent patch, v4.5, Epic Games made changes to all SMG’s in Fortnite Battle Royale, and Ninja has rejoiced at their improved viability. Epic Games has been vocal about their intentions to balance out weapons in the BR mode, discussing in official communications about issues with reliance on shotguns and explosives particularly. SMG’s were considered by many players to be considerably the weakest class of weapons, immediately dropped in favor of almost any other weapon when possible. But with the addition of the third SMG type, the ‘Drum Gun’, Epic has made improvements to all three SMG’s with buffs to various stats. Ninja, as the best known Fortnite player, has a certain influence on opinion and he too was vocal about improving the balance of weapons and equipment in the game. The Drum Gun was immediately powerful upon release, with good range and damage, but in order to keep the other SMG’s competitive accuracy increased and accuracy when sprinting penalties reduced. And Ninja has made it clear he is now very satisfied with the changes, posting a clip with him using both the drum gun and the tactical SMG to wipe out a squad. I absolutely love that the Drum Gun and ALL SMGS are now viable. This clip is just absolute destruction and showcases how crazy good they are. pic.twitter.com/vERYEJb2XI — Ninja (@Ninja) July 6, 2018 Currently, shotguns remain powerful but with the increased viability of SMG’s at long range as well as still holding up when close and personal makes them strong challengers. The full SMG buffs from the v4.5 patch notes: We’re making the following changes to further solidify the identities and strengths of Tactical and Silenced SMGs. Tactical SMG Removed first shot accuracy. – Increased base accuracy by 25%. – Lowered the sprinting accuracy penalty by 15%. – Lowered the ADS bonus by 10 %. – Increased damage by +2. – – Silenced SMG Increased base accuracy by 10%. – Increased ADS accuracy bonus by 20%. – Increased damage by +2. – – – Tactical SMG –

  • Ninja Sends Message to Epic Games on Potential Meta Changes and New Material Limit in Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja Sends Message to Epic Games on Potential Meta Changes and New Material Limit in Fortnite Epic Games caused a storm amongst Fortnite fans on June 21st, after stating their desire to lessen the reliance on ‘build-offs’ by introducing a lower building materials cap. They also strongly hinted towards weakening shotguns and rockets, essentially overhauling the current meta of the battle royale game, which has concerned some high profile players. Top Fortnite Twitch streamer Ninja also gave his initial thoughts via his stream, discussing both the building materials as well as how they can (or have already been) tweaking the meta. Epic Games made it clear that one of their objectives with the changes is too keep the game feeling “fresh and new”, but Ninja feels there are better ways to go about this. He begins by explaining that the meta has already been frequently changing, at least in regards to weapons and equipment. “It’s already like that, for example the stink grenades and the LMG, it changed the meta so much. And to always keep the game fresh by adding new things but not by changing building – the core.” So listen to my words Epic – just keep doing what you are doing, don’t limit me to 500 materials, please. My fear, if say they cap it at 500 across the board, you’re going to have a potential situation where a bad player is just spraying you, and you run out of materials. That would make the good player rage, because that is the skill gap, that is. I took the time to farm 999 wood, by golly I want to use it!” So, Ninja reckons that the developers should keep to their tried and tested method of continually adding new weapons, items and equipment in order to keep the game fresh, rather than mess with the core functionality of building. Keep it the way it is. Continue to constantly, forever, change the meta by slowly adding new items that can just mix it up. And they’ve been doing that, and they just need to keep doing that and not lose themselves. They’re doing that. Currently, it is still unclear if these changes posed by Epic Games will be implemented, but feedback from high profile players like Ninja and others will no doubt go into their decision making.

  • Ninja says Fortnite is now for “losers” after new vehicle meta – Dexerto

Ninja says Fortnite is now for “losers” after new vehicle meta Twitch: NinjaNinja had some strong words for the new Fortnite season after the vehicle meta surfaced and caused all-out chaos on the island. Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3, released on May 24, 2024, and titled “Wrecked,” ushered in a new way to play the game that primarily involved using a vehicle to mow down the competition. The new season has already started to stir the community, with each side having opinions on what Season 3 has to offer. Fans begging for vehicle nerfs and a three-million drop in player count should be a good example of how things are going. Now, Twitch streamer Ninja has added his own thoughts on the season to the mix, harshly criticizing those who have been enjoying the chaos. “This season is absolutely dog f* water. If I was a 5 year old that still loved cool cars, I would be having the time of my life. I’m a 32-year-old, grown man who likes to shoot things in video games. Now I have to drive a vehicle around and pray that I run into people that have a worse vehicle than me,” complained Ninja. Interestingly, X users quickly dismissed Ninja’s grievances, with even the official Dignitas Fortnite account throwing subtle jabs at his mini-rant. Some astutely observed that Ninja’s gameplay has evolved since Chapter 1, leading to a divergence in his perspective. Similar sentiments echoed through the comments, with many feeling that Ninja’s critique was more than just a complaint but a reflection of his reluctance to adapt and learn the new dynamics of the game. “All that complaining when he could just be adapting,” said one X user underneath the post. Despite the complaints from fans and even streamers like Ninja, Epic Games has not made any tweaks or changes to the current state of Chapter 5 Season 3 at the time of writing. That being said, the season is still in its i,nfancy and could see some sort of update in the future.

  • Ninja reveals why he doesn’t see himself competing at Fortnite’s highest levels – Dexerto

Ninja reveals why he doesn’t see himself competing at Fortnite’s highest levels One of Fortnite’s top streamers, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, has revealed to his audience that he doesn’t see himself competing with the game’s top percentage of players. His reasoning for this assessment is due in part to his hectic schedule, which he feels doesn’t give him enough time to focus on legitimate practice. “I put out way too much content to focus on competitive gaming, man,” he admitted. “I would have to cut my stream hours in half and practice twice as much as I normally do.” He likewise expressed a concern that he would have to spend more time away from his wife and family – an issue that has already garnered the streamer ample criticism. “I would spend so much time traveling to events and spending time away from my wife and my family, when I already have so many activities and events that I’m going to be doing for sponsors and partners,” he added. Ninja also knows the toll that constant travel would take on his viewership. Read More: Will Fortnite Battle Royale ever add a first person mode? Video shows what it would look like – The streamer lost over 40,000 subscribers on his Twitch channel after taking a two-day, during which he participated in Epic Games’ celebrity-streamer Pro Am. While this massive blow wasn’t career-ending, it obviously made a deep impression, as he doesn’t seem willing to risk a potential series of subscriber losses due to competing. “As viewers, you don’t want me to do it,” he stated. “You guys may think you want me to go and compete. You don’t.” Ninja continues to top the Twitch charts, currently sitting at over 11 million followers and over 64,000 subscribers.
