  • Ninja reveals which Fortnite feature is keeping the game interesting – Dexerto

Ninja reveals which Fortnite feature is keeping the game interesting Ninja / Epic GamesPopular streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has revealed the one feature that he believes is keeping Fortnite Battle Royale on its feet and it might not be something you would expect to hear from him. The popular internet personality, who has been streaming on Microsoft’s Mixer platform since he announced an exclusivity deal had been reached back in August, is just one of many streamers that have stuck by the battle royale game during the course of Season 10. The same can’t be said about some of his fellow streamers, though, with TimTheTatman and others trying out other titles due to brewing frustrations regarding the introduction of BRUTE Mech suits. However, while many might be looking for alternatives to Fortnite for their streaming sessions, Ninja thinks he’s found something that is not only keeping it interesting for players, but will perhaps also encourage more people to return to it soon as well. As seen in the video below, which was uploaded to YouTube by Daily Clips Central, the player decided to play devil’s advocate for a few moments. “Maybe skill-based matchmaking low key might be the answer for people to kind of fall back in love with the game again,” Ninja said. “Do you remember how difficult it was to get wins like back in the day?” He added: “Winning back in the day was like ‘yes! let’s go’ and that kind of went away. It was like one out of like a thousand games. The only time you would be rewarded would be when you’re playing squads and your entire team dies and you clutched it 8v1.” For those that don’t know, skill based matchmaking pits together players who are of a similar standard in terms of their in-game ability and therefore could give them a greater chance of winning at their level. Not everybody will agree with Ninja on this one, but in principle, there’s no doubt that it makes the Fortnite experience different to what it was before it was implemented. Whether or not Ninja will be proved right and skill based matchmaking will bring back some of the players that have been lost in Season 10 remains to be seen.

  • Ninja reveals whether he gets paid by Epic Games for playing Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja reveals whether he gets paid by Epic Games for playing Fortnite Twitch superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has revealed if Epic Games have ever paid him for playing their popular battle royale title, Fortnite. The former professional Halo player became a sensation on the popular streaming website during 2018, even making appearances on traditional media outlets like television with an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. A Lot of Ninja’s success on Twitch has come thanks to Fortnite, and fans have often wondered if the developers have paid Blevins to continue playing the game, as his hugely popular stream brings new eyes to the game. Fortnite helped propel Ninja to the top of Twitch. On December 26, WIRED uploaded a video of Blevins completing one of their famous Autocomplete Interviews, where celebrities answer questions that are regularly searched on Google. During the interview, the topic of payment came up, with many fans of the streamer asking: “Does Ninja get paid by Fortnite?” The American was happy to broach the subject, declaring that he had never received any payment from Epic Games. “I have to really think about this, because I don’t want to misspeak,” stated Ninja. “I don’t think I’ve been paid by them to do anything, ever. Other than what they’ve done for everyone like the Support-A-Creator code, and they didn’t pay me for that. So no, Fortnite has not paid me.” Ninja’s appearance on the WIRED Autocomplete Interview series has been met with some negativity, with the video already amassing 76,000 dislikes making it the most disliked edition of the series yet, something that fellow Fortnite streamer Brett ‘Dakotaz’ Hoffman finds “ridiculous.” Ninja’s big year is set to continue, with the streamer hosting his own New Years Eve Fortnite event in Times Square in New York City.

  • Ninja reveals what drove him away from Fortnite in the last few seasons – Dexerto

Ninja reveals what drove him away from Fortnite in the last few seasons Ninja Instagram | Fortnite[jwplayer uZppK6qI] Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has returned to Fortnite after what feels like ages, admitting the battle royale’s latest “stale” seasons led him to temporarily quit, and why the new one brought his passion for the game back to life. Ninja has returned to the popular battle royale after not playing the game for months—initially falling out of love for the battle royale a while ago, he is now back and enjoying the new season, Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 4. The star streamer stopped playing Fortnite a couple of seasons ago because he was simply not having fun anymore, opting to commit to Valorant because the BR’s content was getting “super boring.” “I’m just starting to play Fortnite again. I haven’t played in months. Honestly, the game wasn’t fun to me. It was super stale and super boring. I mean, I honestly don’t have anything good to say about Fortnite in the last two seasons.” After taking a long break from the battle royale, Ninja returns to Fortnite during Season 4 because of SypherPK’s recommendation in trying out the game. “No cap, SypherPK, a friend of mine texted me and was like ‘yo man, do you want to play some Fortnite, just duos and try it out’, I was like ‘yeah sure’,” he said. “I’m having a blast again. It feels good again, it feels fun. […] I’m playing Fortnite solos. When was the last time you saw me playing Fortnite solos.” Following his remarks about his former discontent towards the game, Ninja then jokingly talked about a comment made by a viewer about the Pump Shotgun which was vaulted in Season 3 and unvaulted in season 4. He says it could’ve been the reason why the game felt so good. Read More: Fortnite Birthday Bash challenges & rewards – “It’s the Pump Shotgun. Maybe it is. Maybe it’s literally the Pump Shotgun being added back. I can’t believe they removed it. Who knows, maybe they removed it so when they added it back, everyone was in love with it, you know what I mean.” (Segment starts at 1:44 mark) This isn’t the only time Ninja has talked Fortnite recently; the returned Twitch star also talked about the game’s competitive environment, and how it’s unfair pro players have to go up against “run of the mill” ranked players on the ladder. With the superstar back playing Fortnite, fans can only wonder how long he’ll stay as Season 4 draws near to an end, meaning more updates and changes that might possibly alter what he currently enjoys about the game.

  • Ninja reveals the one thing that stops him beating top Fortnite players – Dexerto

Ninja reveals the one thing that stops him beating top Fortnite players Epic GamesDuring a pretty heated moment on stream, Mixer star, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins explained why he struggles to beat the top players in 1v1 situations in Fortnite – and it’s not why you might think. Ninja has dipped in and out of competing in Fortnite since the game’s release in September 2017, but recently has returned to his competitive roots and is noticeably trying to get one over on some of the very top talent — and there is a marked improvement in his play. However, Ninja believes there’s one thing that’s holding him back from being able to take out some of the top competition, and it’s something all players can relate to. While playing some solo matches, Ninja found himself in a bout against two other players one after the other, but failed to hit the fatal shot on either, struggling to get through their protective boxes and do some damage to them. Finally growing frustrated as his enemies kept evading him, Ninja says: “Can we just talk about how I can’t take walls? It’s so stupid, man. If I don’t have a P90, I will lose to every talented player in a solid 1v1 because I can’t steal sh*t.” He did go on to put his words somewhat more eloquently, obviously finding the way he wanted to explain his problem. “I can’t take walls against players who I really need to take walls from. Like, a really good player that it would be awesome if I could get a good shot off on them by taking their wall.” (Timestamp 00:45 for mobile viewers) Ironically, shortly after, he managed to take the walls of an enemy and made a joke about it, saying “Well, I took his wall… but he wasn’t a very good player. But that’s what I’m talking about. I don’t want his wall.” The ‘wall-taking’ issue is one that has been prevalent in Fortnite for what feels like forever. Often, it has come down to who has the best ping and can capitalize on their opponent’s slower chance to react, and Epic Games even addressed it by making changes to turbo building in August 2019. That said, it will likely always be an issue in Fortnite as box-fighting becomes more standard across both competitive and casual play. So Ninja may just have to find new ways to trap his enemies and get himself the eliminations. Wall replacing has become a common fight in Fortnite, with players wanting to box their opponents in, in a bid to hold them in place and get a shot on them before they can escape. The quicker editors normally get the upper hand, and you will often see pro players spending hours practicing their box-fighting and editing as a result. If Ninja manages to get on top of this issue, it will be interesting to see whether he really can compete with the very best Fortnite players.

  • Ninja reveals the main issue with competitive Fortnite & how to fix it – Dexerto

Ninja reveals the main issue with competitive Fortnite & how to fix it Epic Games[jwplayer Y7PB7YwV] Star streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has shared what he thinks are the major issues facing the competitive Fortnite scene and what solutions would put teams and players in the best position to succeed. The competitive Fortnite scene has grown by leaps and bounds since the 2019 World Cup, but there’s still no dedicated, separate league for the ultra-popular battle royale, with most competitions taking place in online public matches. In a September 26 voice tweet, Ninja explained that putting the highest-tier of players and teams in the same lobbies as regular, run of the mill competitive players who don’t know the game as well is one of the biggest hurdles to making Fortnite a legitimate esport. “Without a dedicated league of respected teams and respected players, who obviously know how to play at a high level, and don’t grief and land on each other, or push random, dumb kills that won’t do anything and actually just ruin the game for themselves and the team that they’re griefing,” Ninja explained. “I don’t think that there will ever be full success and legitimacy of Fortnite competitive.” Other games like Overwatch, Call of Duty, League of Legends, and CS:GO have their own leagues for players at the very highest level. Overwatch, LoL, and CoD have franchised leagues that organizations have to buy their way into, while CS:GO’s scene ensures professionals never have to mix with amateurs. But, outside of the Fortnite World Cup, which featured 10 weeks of online qualifiers, that hasn’t manifested yet for pros in arguably the most popular video game ever. “In terms of FNCS, in terms of this ‘next level’ Fortnitecompetitive for these pro players who are already established,” Ninja added. “There needs to be leagues and lobbies where they can queue up with teams and against teams that are just as good, who have qualified if you will and are there consistently. That’s how it needs to be if it’s ever going to be super looked up to or respected.” And obviously a legitimate way for new teams to come up and earn their spot in that top league/group — Ninja (@Ninja) September 26, 2020 After posting the audio clip, Blevins followed up by saying he’s seen “way too many times high-level players being griefed by lower quality players who don’t know when to fight and just ruin both games.” It’s certainly not the first time we’ve seen complaints about the format, or lack thereof, in top-level competitive Fortnite; Ninja is just the latest in a long series of top players who have expressed frustrations with Epic Games’ apparent lack of interest in formalizing the scene. These comments come on the heels of a string of tweets put out by esports insider Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau, who likewise contended that Epic need to prioritize establishing a “competitive player community with a long-term plan.” Of course, all such comments to date have fallen on deaf ears, or at least that’s how it appears, so whether or not we’ll ever see Ninja’s, Slasher’s, or anyone else’s suggestions come to fruition is a matter that only time will tell.

  • Ninja explains why Warzone’s Gulag will benefit Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja explains why Warzone’s Gulag will benefit Fortnite Infinity Ward / Epic Games / Mixer: NinjaMixer star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has revealed why he thinks Call of Duty’s Warzone will benefit Fortnite, with the Gulag being something he’d love to see Epic Games “compete” with. The battle royale genre has been saturated for some time now, with PUBG, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Blackout and now Warzone each commanding huge player bases. While Fortnite is arguably the biggest of those, a lot of players, including Ninja, feel that the player base is not being given enough reasons to stick with it. He has recently commented on both the Chapter 2 map and his feelings that Epic are making it too difficult for players to return to the game if they have taken a break. The 28-year-old has now turned his attention to the matches themselves, as well as the possibility of introducing popular features from other battle royales into Fortnite. “I wonder if Epic is gonna do anything to try and compete with Warzone’s Gulag,” he said. “Maybe not for competitive, but some sort of way to get back in the game. With Warzone having 150 people and this having 100 in solos and duos… there’s gotta be more ways to keep the numbers up.” Ninja stated that too many players are dying early on in Season 2 of Chapter 2, to the point where players struggle to find opponents after the first few minutes of a game. He compared this to Warzone, which has a 1v1 feature to allow dead players to drop back in, as well as starting with 150 players. This, Ninja suggested, allows Warzone matches to be far more action heavy than those in Fortnite. Timestamp for Mobile Users: 0:22 “I wonder [about] 125 people in regular solos,” he continued. “126 in duos. But that doesn’t necessarily mean more players will spread out… I think that’s the biggest problem right now with pubs – people don’t try to win as much as they used to.” He suggested that players are far more interested in kills than they are staying alive, which is a partial cause of the high number of deaths in the opening minutes of a game. Earlier in Fortnite’s lifespan players were more likely to hide in buildings, bushes or towers in order to stay alive, he said. The final area of critique Ninja gave was relating to the new Chapter 2 map. Blevins suggested that a lack of viable landing spots causes players to land in similar areas, meaning many are killed very quickly. In the game’s current build, players can revive teammates by retrieving reboot cards and taking them to reboot vans. This idea, originally from Apex Legends, is pretty difficult to carry out. A 1v1 mode similar to Warzone’s Gulag would make it much easier for players to drop back in, and would result in 50% of players eliminated being able to respawn. With criticism building about Chapter 2’s second season, we’ll have to see what Epic do to keep the game fresh and enjoyable.

  • Ninja reveals incredible numbers behind his growth since switching to Fortnite a year ago – Dexerto

Ninja reveals incredible numbers behind his growth since switching to Fortnite a year ago The decision by Twitch superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins to switch to streaming Fortnite Battle Royale a year ago has proved to be life-changing. Although he was already an established figure in the online gaming community, Ninja’s popularity took off in meteoric proportions when he became the face of a game that has become one of the most popular in recent memory. To say that Fortnite has changed his life would be an understatement, and the streamer expressed those sentiments in a video he posted on October 3, the one year anniversary of his switch. In the video, he also revealed the incredible extent of his growth in terms of actual numbers, such as YouTube subscribers and social media followers. “Today marks the one year anniversary of my first very Fortnite stream, ever,” he said. “A lot of things have changed, like 10 or 11 million followers on Twitch, 19 million subscribers on YouTube, three million followers on Twitter, 10 million followers on Instagram, from basically nothing.” Aside from the actual statistics, Ninja’s growth has also further integrated gaming into popular culture, as he has transcended from being just a streamer and former Halo pro player to a celebrity. Not only has he broken viewership records on Twitch while playing matches with global music icons and athletes, he’s also been honored at the ESPY awards, been on the cover of ESPN the Magazine, appeared in numerous commercials and televised interviews, and more.

  • Ninja reveals Fortnite’s most “useless” gun and why it should be vaulted – Dexerto

Ninja reveals Fortnite’s most “useless” gun and why it should be vaulted Superstar streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has had it with the gray Common Pump Shotgun in Fortnite Battle Royale, angrily calling for developers Epic Games to remove the “useless” weapon. As with most shooter games, the pool of weapons available in Fortnite has always been the topic of hotly-contested debates among the player-base. However, interestingly enough, the players have nearly-unanimously agreed that the worst weapon to use so far in Chapter 2 has been the Common-rarity Pump Shotgun, commonly referred to as the ‘gray Pump.’ It is the weakest version of the Pump available in-game, and the maximum of 70 non-headshot damage that it delivers is, in fact, the lowest out of all of the shotguns, including the gray Tac. Ninja demonstrates why the gray Pump is “useless” In one of his recent streams, Ninja was forced to use the gray Pump in a gunfight, which, of course, ended up with him getting eliminated. That sparked what ended up becoming a full-on fire of rage from the Mixer star, who wants to see the weapon gone from the game as soon as possible. ‘Get rid of the gray Pump man, it’s the most useless gun in the game!” he yelled. “Why?! Why give someone the sh*ttiest and most random gun in the game?! Why even have it?! It’s so bad, no one uses it!” “The gray Pump is the worst gun in the game, give me a gray Pistol instead, no cap! And I hate the gray Pistol! From the developers’ standpoint, I don’t understand it. Why put something so useless in the game just so you ‘have a starting weapon.’ Just give us Assault Rifles!” He and fellow star streamer SypherPK analyzed how the weapon compares to the other Common guns in the game, and concluded it’s considerably weaker. “You just have to compare it to the other gray weapons and it doesn’t match up,” Sypher explained. “The gray SMG is not bad, the gray AR, you can do work with it. The gray Pump, it’s not even close.” “You have to be literally kissing the person’s internal organs with that gun to do more than 100 damage with it,” Ninja added. (Segment begins at 0:24 mark for mobile users) As of now, there is no indication that Epic Games have any plans to adjust and/or remove the Common Pump Shotgun from Fortnite One of the reasons why they might not is to maintain symmetry within the weapon pool, since every type of gun in the game has five distinct variants and rarity-levels and the Pump would be the only one that wouldn’t if the lower version got removed. That said, there’s only about a month left until the conclusion of Chapter 2: Season 1, so Epic could look into making such tweaks once Season 2 rolls along.

  • Ninja Reveals First Ever Look at Fortnite Gameplay With the Brand New ‘Galaxy’ Skin – Dexerto

Ninja Reveals First Ever Look at Fortnite Gameplay With the Brand New ‘Galaxy’ Skin The Fortnite community has been given its first real look at live gameplay with the new ‘Galaxy’ skin. Popular Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins went live on August 21 showcasing the highly anticipated skin on both the mobile and PC version of the game. Ninja started things off with a YouTube video that showed him unboxing a special Fortnite Supply Drop that Samsung had sent him. In the box were a few pieces of tech, memorabilia, and, most importantly, the brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 9, pre-loaded with Fortnite and the new Galaxy skin. With the Note 9 schedule to launch on August 24, Ninja got the chance to try it and the new skin early, which he showcased in the video below. He then proceeded to jump into a PC match with fellow streamer ‘Timthetatman,’ marking the first time that the Galaxy skin made an appearance in a public Fortnite match on PC. Both Ninja and Tim did not hold back when raving about the new skin, with both claiming that it is the best in the history of the game. Ninja: “Dude I’m sorry, like listen. I’m going to completely honest with you guys. This skin, this is the best skin in the game, facts. And I’m sorry, I hate to say it.” Tim: “I agree. It just looks so, it’s like a different element. It’s almost like I’m looking into the galaxy, like space. So good job, whoever made this skin.” Here is some additional PC gameplay taken later on from the very same stream: Since it was leaked several weeks ago, the Galaxy skin has been the main topic of conversation when it comes to Fortnite cosmetic items. For now, the skin is only available to those who preorder the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, but new information has been leaked that points to it eventually being made available to all players. Although Ninja has gotten his chance to debut the skin in-game, everyone else will have to wait for the device to drop on August 24 to be able to try it out for themselves.

  • Ninja reveals brand new Galaxy Fortnite back-bling, pickaxe, and glider set live on stream – Dexerto

Ninja reveals brand new Galaxy Fortnite back-bling, pickaxe, and glider set live on stream Star Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has given his fans the first glimpse of the cosmetic items that come as part of the exclusive Galaxy skin set in Fortnite Battle Royale. The Galaxy outfit skin is one of the rarest in Fortnite because it’s available exclusively to those who own certain Samsung Galaxy mobile devices. Now, the skin’s back-bling, pickax, and glider have also been released, and Ninja was given the chance to showcase them to the public for the first time live on his stream. Ninja, who is partnered with Samsung, will own the items exclusively for two days before anyone else has the chance to get their hands on them. The back-bling is called Galactic Disk and looks like the Milky Way galaxy attached to the outfit’s back. The pickax is called Stellar Axe and is essentially just an ax that has the same galactic theme as the skin. The Discover glider rounds out the cosmetic set, and just as with the other items, it too features the star-filled, dark purple/blue theme of outer space. Here is a video of Ninja revealing these items for the first time, and equipping them together in his inventory. “You guys have no idea,” he said. “We have this for two days before anyone else can get this.” Since these items have not been formally announced by Samsung or Fortnite, it’s not clear how players will go about obtaining them. However, if it follows the same process as the Galaxy skin, those who own specific Galaxy Note devices will be able to redeem these items through properly registered Epic Games accounts and have them appear in their personal in-game inventory.

  • Ninja responds to backlash following series of alleged Fortnite bans – Dexerto

Ninja responds to backlash following series of alleged Fortnite bans Ninja/TwitchPopular Fortnite player and Streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has been at the forefront of massive hate, after allegedly getting two Fortnite players banned from the game. However, evidence has since surfaced that proves both of these bans were not due to action on Ninja’s part – and that one ban didn’t even occur, at all. Read More: Top Fortnite streamers come to defense of Ninja after Reddit witch hunt to “ruin his career” – Ninja came forward about the issue in an interview with Drama Alert host Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem, reiterating that the first incident didn’t even result in a ban, and claimed that he was merely “trolling” the player he’d accused of stream sniping. However, that wasn’t the only cause of hate against the streamer – one player fabricated a story entirely, claiming that Ninja had gotten him banned from Fortnite due to the player having higher ping than he did. “It won’t go away, man,” Ninja said of the hate against him. “The damage is done. The guy made a complete fabrication, slandered my name, framed the whole thing, and it worked. I’m getting hate on every single social media [site].” Ninja even admitted that a few of his longtime viewers are now abandoning his channel, claiming that he has “too much money” for them to continue their support. “In every other industry, no one doesn’t support someone because they signed a big deal,” Ninja said of the issue, comparing the gaming industry to rap and television culture. “The entire goal is to clout and show off as much money as possible.” 600https://www.polygon.com/2018/7/23/17602586/ninja-death-hoax-instagram-ligma However, Ninja likewise stated that the issue is merely an “annoyance,” and will continue “doing amazing things” in the interim. “It’s more of an annoyance, than anything,” Ninja stated. “Just trying to do big things. We’re taking this whole Ninja thing to the next level.” This incident precedes Ninja’s appearance at Times Square for New Year’s Eve, where he will ring in the new year with a 12-hour Fortnite broadcast.

  • Ninja Remains Ambiguous About Competing in Fortnite Esports Professionally – Dexerto

Ninja Remains Ambiguous About Competing in Fortnite Esports Professionally Popular streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins continues to remain ambiguous about competing professionally in Fortnite: Battle Royale esports. With $100 million in prize money pledged by Epic Games for the 2018-2019 competitive Fortnite: Battle Royale season, everyone has been attempting to get in on the action and potentially get their share of the pool. Although Fortnite is still in its infancy when it comes to esports, Epic Games put the title on display for its first sanctioned competition during the $3 million Pro-AM Tournament at E3, which featured 50 streamers and content creators paired up with 50 celebrities. Ninja, arguably the most popular member of the Fortnite community, ended up winning the ‘money’ match at the Pro-AM with his partner Marshmello, an EDM DJ, granting them $1,000,000 to a charity of their choosing. • Ninja reacts to “weird” Fortnite players making money stream sniping him – Dexerto

Ninja reacts to “weird” Fortnite players making money stream sniping him Epic Games / NinjaAs one of the biggest streamers in the world, there’s always a target on Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins’ back in a game of Fortnite, as players want to brag that they took him down. But, some are even making money out of it. Stream sniping has almost always been a thing, ever since streaming multiplayer games on places like Twitch became popular over the last decade. The term refers to players who watch a streamer’s broadcast to pinpoint their location in a match, then use that information to either kill them or troll them. It’s an especially frustrating problem in battle royale games, where the goal is survival at all costs. Ninja is no stranger to stream snipers, and is likely targeted on a daily basis, but some players are taking this annoying practice even deeper, by placing “bounties” on the streamer’s head. Apparently organized in Discord, Ninja’s duo partner Reverse2k explains: “There’s this Discord [server], a stream sniping Discord, and the Discord owners put bounties on your head to kill you, and it’s so stupid.” Bemused, Ninja simply replies “What…?”, as Reverse continues: “You pay in to get in – so you pay $10 to get into the Discord and you might have a $100 bounty on Ninja. So, they go stream snipe you, and if they kill you they get $100.” Reverse then claimed that the team who had just attacked them in that match were apparently members of such a Discord server, and had failed in their quest to eliminate them. Ninja responded by calling the stream sniping bounties “so weird”, but he probably wasn’t even that surprised. He’s had his run-ins with countless stream snipers before, so if there’s money to be made, it’s the logical next step. Stream sniping is not only widely frowned upon, but is often against a games’ user agreement, and titles such as PUBG and Fortnite will hand out bans for players found to be targeting streamers. Twitch and other platforms also have policies against it, and will ban streamers targeting other streamers. However, Mixer, Ninja’s current platform, does not specify any rules against it in its User Conduct page. Twitch explicitly mentions stream sniping as being a form of cheating, describing it as “exploiting another broadcaster’s live broadcast in order to harass them in-game, such as stream sniping.”

  • Ninja reacts to viral Fortnite recreation of his NYE flossing fail – Dexerto

Ninja reacts to viral Fortnite recreation of his NYE flossing fail L: Epic Games R: Ninja – TwitchTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins became the first streamer ever to get their own skin in Fortnite, and players are already taking the opportunity to recreate his famous New Year’s Eve flossing fail in Times Square. On Jan 16, the new Ninja skin hit the item shop and gave all his fans the opportunity to play as their favorite streamer in-game. We’ve seen musicians like Major Lazer and Marshmello enter the battle royale in the past, but Ninja is breaking ground as the first streamer to do so. Given how much popularity Ninja has brought to Fortnite, it’s hard to think of a more appropriate personality to immortalize as the first streamer skin. One of the most memorable moments for the star was his New Year’s Eve event on Twitch, where he tried to get the Times Square crowd to floss with him – only to have it fail miserably. This moment has gone on to become one of the most-viewed Twitch clips ever, and is frequently brought up as a way to troll the now-Mixer star. When his skin hit the item shop, players wasted absolutely no time in recreating this iconic moment, with dozens of clips being posted on various social media platforms. Ninja reacted to one of these fan creations, which went as far as overlaying the audio from the famous clip into the game. In the clip, someone in the skin was standing on a stage in front of a crowd of Sneaky Snowmen staring stone-faced back at him, much like the audience at Times Square. “Jesus Christ,” was all Ninja could manage upon seeing this. To be fair, he had to have expected someone would do this with the first opportunity they could get. The clip he stumbled upon has over 70,000 views and counting – and that’s not even including the numerous creations from other players, as well. Players who want to get a hold of Ninja’s exclusive skin can cop it via the Fortnite item shop. However, it won’t be available forever, as it leaves the shop on Sunday, Jan 19, giving fans a limited amount of time to snag the now-viral feature. Epic Games bring skins back to Fortnite all the time, so, if you miss it this time around, you might be able to catch it on its inevitable return.

  • Ninja Reacts to Losing to TSM’s Myth and Hamlinz in $20,000 Friday Fortnite Tournament (Match Highlights) – Dexerto

Ninja Reacts to Losing to TSM’s Myth and Hamlinz in $20,000 Friday Fortnite Tournament (Match Highlights) Ninja, Twitch/Myth, TwitterOne of the greatest things about the weekly Friday Fortnite celebrity tournament, is that it offers the potential for great matchups between some of the biggest names in the online gaming community. That is exactly what happened during Week 7 of the competition, which was played on June 22nd, as popular Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Cloud9 pro Fortnite player Jacob ‘Hysteria’ Reiser faced off against the Team SoloMid pro player duo of Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani’ and ‘Hamlinz.’ While they all are great in their own rite, everyone’s attention was on Ninja vs Myth, as the two are not only very good friends, but also two of the greatest Fortnite competitors in the world. What made things even more interesting was the fact that this epic matchup occurred in the seventh round of the Losers Bracket, putting the ‘win or go home’ pressure on all of the players’ shoulders. The matches were as exhilarating as one would expect, but there had to be a winner and Myth and Hamlinz were able to clutch the victory and send Ninja and Hysteria packing. We have another @KEEMSTAR Friday #Fortnite mini-montage featuring monumental plays from @Ninja, @JacobHysteria, @TSM_Myth and @TSM_Hamlinz. https://t.co/vnYIZq8dAE pic.twitter.com/2LmYpNFJPw — UMG Events (@UMGEvents) June 23, 2018 Afterwards, Ninja posted a video expressing his reaction to losing the match and also mentioning that he would like to play with Hysteria again in next week’s competition. “[…] Hysteria, love you man GG’s. Almost had it. Myth and Hamz [Hamlinz], hate you guys, just kidding I love you. You guys are on, good job in Losers, take it home. Dude these Fortnite Fridays are amazing man. I’m just pumped for next week, I’m probably using Hysteria again.” Hysteria, who was playing in his very first Friday Fortnite, also posted his reaction, although he did it via a written tweet rather than a video. Ended up 4th place, wish we could have brought it home but played well overall! Hopefully this isn’t my first and only time in Fortnite fridays and I can get into more in the future! GGs to everyone we played and thanks to @KEEMSTAR and @UMGEvents 😀 — C9 Hysteria (@JacobHysteria) June 23, 2018

  • Ninja rants at Epic Games over Drum Gun in Fortnite Battle Royale – Dexerto

Ninja rants at Epic Games over Drum Gun in Fortnite Battle Royale Twitter: Ninja/Epic GamesTwitch streamer and prominent Fortnite Battle Royale personality Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has provided his thoughts on the unvaulting of the Drum Gun – and he wants to see major changes. The Drum Gun is a hybrid rifle-SMG, initially introduced to the game back in Season 4, with the v4.5 update in July of 2018. However, it only remained in the game for a matter of months, and was vaulted over balancing issues and negative community feedback in September 2018. Despite the reasons behind its vaulting, in the v8.51 live event, Epic Games gave the community the chance to vote in-game and unvault one item. The Drum Gun won comfortably and was instantly reinstated – but, Ninja is one of a number of community members who is unhappy with the decision. Why is Ninja unhappy with the Drum Gun? It seems Ninja is displeased over the balancing of the Drum Gun, in terms of the weapon’s rarity and ability, as well as how it is used by other players. “The Drum Gun is back and in less than one game,” he said. “It took one arena game with me and Reverse[2K] – and there were like 15 people left after the third circle, everyone just charging everyone with Drum Guns. Every single person had it, SOS man.” “I love what Epic did,” he continued. “Allowing us to unvault one of the guns in the game – I think it was an incredible idea, I love it a lot. But dude, something needs to happen. The Drum Gun needs like a rarity buff, like it needs to be gold.” At the moment, the Drum Gun is available in uncommon (green) and rare (blue) versions, meaning it is found fairly frequently by players. However, Ninja believes it is too high-performing to be available this frequently. “I love the gun, it’s fun to use,” he finished. “[It’s] gonna be a very interesting couple of weeks if this is allowed in the competitive – World Cup.” Read More: Rise Nation drop two pro FortniteBR players who were caught cheating in World Cup qualifiers – World Cup Qualifiers are underway, and while Epic ruled out the Drum Gun’s inclusion in this weekend’s matches, they are yet to comment on its future inclusion. However, it is clear Ninja believes it could lead to a significant meta-change. Other prominent community members, including Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, echoed Ninja’s concerns over the gun’s unvaulting. The Drum Gun is back… What have we done, Fortnite community. — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) May 4, 2019 Goodnight to everyone except for the kids who voted for the Drum Gun to be unvaulted. — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) May 5, 2019 In competitive matches, such as the World Cup Qualifiers, defensive play-styles are favoured, as players regularly build themselves into ‘1x1s’. The Drum Gun’s combination of high fire-rate and high damage mean it is very effective at breaking into these defensive buildings, to a point Ninja feels is unbalanced. Epic are yet to announce whether changes will be made to the Drum Gun, but, given its controversial history, it’s possible we will see adjustments soon.

  • Ninja rages over “wild” Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 after losing to a bot – Dexerto

Ninja rages over “wild” Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 after losing to a bot Epic Games / Twitch / YouTubeNinja erupted over the Chapter 5 Season 4 experience in Fortnite, especially after dying to a bot, implying he’s going to play CoD instead after dying to the NPC boss. Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 4 update has brought a refreshed meta to the Battle Royale thanks to the newly added weapons and items. Captain America’s Shield, combined with the Arsenal Mythic weapons, made an insane combo that’d melt enemies before they could do anything. It can be tough to survive in the Battle Royale, especially if you don’t have this one item with you. And with how things have been going in the current season, Ninja was seen raging during his Fortnite stream, firing out all sorts of strong words to describe the Chapter 5 Season 4 experience. “Alright. This season’s f***ing dog****,” he said after getting eliminated in a clip posted on X. The streamer was then seen 1v1ing a player who had the War Machine Arsenal Auto Turret. Before his shotgun could deal enough damage to take them down, he was met with yet another defeat screen after getting sprayed with the enemy’s SMG and their turret at the same time. Following this, he couldn’t help but scream, saying: “This f***ing season is wild!” “Did you see that guy through the stairs?” he asked in disbelief before mentioning how they hit him “twice perfectly.” The last straw broke when he lost a fight against the Emma Frost NPC, despite him taking cover behind the door. “My body is behind the wall! This guy is rotating from the other side, shooting me with his SMGs,” he said. “What is happening, bro? I don’t want to f***ing play this game anymore. Get me off this s***,” he exclaimed before claiming that he was “going to CoD.” Now obviously, Ninja has ‘quit’ Fortnite plenty of times in the past, so don’t expect this rage to have him fleeing the game permanently. Throughout the years, we’ve seen Fortnite bots stomping players with on-point aim. In the case for Fortnite bosses, you’ll want to make sure to be prepared before going against them with some of the best weapons and with full health and shield just to be extra safe.

  • Ninja rages at Fortnite as ping issues cost him victory royale – Dexerto

Ninja rages at Fortnite as ping issues cost him victory royale Mixer: Ninja/Epic GamesStreaming superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins lost his mind after ping issues within Fortnite cost him a potential solo victory royale – leaving him roaring at the tops of his lungs in fury. When it comes to Fortnite, there is no bigger achievement than bagging a victory royale. It doesn’t matter if it’s your 1,000th win or your very first, being able to claim the bragging rights of being the last player standing is always something to hold precious. So, when the battle royale itself prevents you from winning, especially when it’s at the very last hurdle, you’d probably want to punch a wall, throw a controller, and slam your desk in a bid to vent your anger. That cruel fate fell upon Ninja during his March 9 stream as he went in search of a solo victory. The former Halo professional had managed to secure a one-on-one fight with the final remaining player – who had managed to box themselves into a corner. Ninja attempted to take the enemy’s wall so that he could toy with them and eventually take them down, however, he was unable to – leaving him to shout in anger as he finished as the runner-up. “I can’t take walls, man! I win that game if I can take his floor,” Ninja exclaimed. “But the game doesn’t give it to me. I tried to take that like five times – I knew it was coming, I should have just sprayed man, sprayed with my drum.” Even though he took a moment of silence, the streaming star was still upset by what had happened – letting out another roar of anger before stating that everything was “alright.” However, Ninja turned his crosshairs back at Fortnite and it’s ping issues. “Just don’t have good enough internet man, don’t have good enough ping bro, I don’t live close enough to the servers man,” he added. Despite that, his frustrations still raged on as he tapped his mouse off his desk a few times. “Oh my god dude, I want to punch a wall. I actually want to punch something, this is so stupid.” This isn’t the first complaint about ping and other issues within Fortnite from Ninja. Only a day earlier, he revealed that those problems were the reason behind him cutting down on competitive play. Whether or not the problems will be addressed in the future remains to be seen, but for the good of players sanity, Epic might want to consider adding a few more servers at least.

  • Ninja rages after discovering secret shield ‘nerf’ in Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja rages after discovering secret shield ‘nerf’ in Fortnite Epic Games may have implemented a secret change to Fortnite Chapter 2 and Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins doesn’t seem to be a fan – not at all. The popular Mixer streamer was playing his way through the battle royale game during a broadcast on November 12, dropping at several locations on the hunt for loot. However, it didn’t take long for him to become completely exhausted during the stream after he was unable to find shields. Starting at Dirty Docks, he opened chest after chest only to be greeted by a bunch of unwanted pistols and he’s drawn his own conclusion from the matter very quickly. Those who have been playing Fortnite since the beginning of Chapter 2 on October 15 will know that there’s been a huge patch notes-shaped hole in every update that has been released ever since the new map arrived. There have been updates to the game’s official Trello board here and there, allowing people to at least record some changes, but it appears – at least from Ninja’s perspective – that the spawn rate of mini shields has been decreased without any announcement. Read More: How to get Fortnite’s Merry Mint pickaxe – “Game just doesn’t want to give me minis man. I hate it. Bro, chat, what is this garbage?” he said, before his teammate, Reverse2k, claimed to have found a big pot already. “I know you do, but like that doesn’t defeat the fact that I literally just looted eight chests and don’t have a single mini.” Whether or not this is an intentional change or not from the developers remains to be seen, although – based on the evidence here – it does seem as if something has been tweaked in-game. Timestamp in the video below at 0:45. Ninja added: “Looting chest upon chest, upon chest, upon chest and getting no shield. There’s only two shield items in the game.” It didn’t take long for the streamers to make light of the situation, though, as Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop joined and started to sing ‘Where are the Shields’ to the tune of ‘Here Comes the Sun’ by The Beatles. After a few more frustrating moments, CouRage asked: “Wait, so because there’s no patch notes Tyler, do you think that they decreased the shield spawn rate this week?” In truth, not many – if any – players have the answer to that question as they have not been informed of any tweaks with the v11.1 update, which went live on November 13. Even in one of the rare chests he couldn’t get his hands on a mini, meaning he had to resort to other means… Eating mushrooms from the ground. A grueling process.

Ninja Pulled More Viewers for His Summer Skirmish Finals Stream Than the Official Broadcast and Epic Games Loved It Mark Rein has made it clear that the Epic Games loves seeing Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins attract more viewers to his restream of the Fortnite Summer Skirmish Grand Final than the official Fortnite channel! Esports journalist Tyler ‘Fionn’ Erzberger took to Twitter to say “Ninja has more viewers for #SummerSkimrish Grand Final restreaming it than the actual Fortnite channel” and suggested that “Riot would probably ban his Twitch and fine him 5k” if a League of Legends pro like Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg did the same thing. • Ninja proves he’s back to his best with insane Fortnite trick shot – Dexerto

Ninja proves he’s back to his best with insane Fortnite trick shot Ninja, Epic GamesTwitch star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has seen a massive resurgence on the streaming platform since Fortnite has been back in the spotlight, and went viral with an incredible trick shot using a Shockwave Grenade. Twitch’s original superstar, Ninja, is back on top. With Fortnite returning to relevance via the removal of building, the 30-year-old streamer has seen a nice bump in viewership as he’s been broadcasting a ton of the Battle Royale since the changes. Now, he’s gone viral hitting an absolutely insane shot that clutched the match out. Ninja hits crazy Fortnite bounce shot The streamer was live playing Fortnite with SypherPK and CouRage when he won the round for his squad. Ninja was on top of the hill near The Fortress when he used a Shockwave Grenade to launch himself up high, then landed above the last opponent and blasted them away with the Striker Pump Shotgun. Shockwave Grenades can boost players up in the air and are one of the only remaining items in the game now that can help players obtain the high ground on their opponents. The clutch shot ended the round and hyped up the entire team as Ninja shouted, “Holy S**t!” Blevins has had high praise for Chapter 3 Season 2 of Fortnite, but said Epic Games needs to “cater” to no-build players to maintain its refound relevance. The company answered Ninja’s call and has since made Zero Build mode permanent to the game. Although his own teammate Sypher critiqued the mode, saying it “needs more” to be a long-term game mode, it certainly has helped the Battle Royale return to the limelight.

  • Ninja, Benjyfishy, more confused over 2020 Fortnite competitive changes – Dexerto

Ninja, Benjyfishy, more confused over 2020 Fortnite competitive changes L: Ninja – Mixer R: Epic GamesBig changes to the Fortnite competitive format were announced on January 20 that have the community buzzing, including Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins. Epic Games have come under fire from the community several times for how they handle incidents of supposed cheating, such as when XXiF was caught teaming, or when it was alleged that Mongraal was working behind the scenes with his coach to learn where enemies were. Going into the future, the company promises to police things a bit better and introduced a set of bannable offenses. However, the plan might have backfired as there’s been a bunch of pushback from the community about how the devs will be handling those who pickaxe swing at other players. Swinging a pickaxe at an opponent is a way players signal to each other they don’t want to fight but would rather rotate instead. Other methods players did were emoting or jumping, but it doesn’t look like that will be happening anymore. Now, Epic will be looking for and punishing players who do that, meaning that even if players are caught out in no man’s land eons away from the storm, they will seemingly be forced to fight. Players haven’t been excited about these changes and the reactions quickly came pouring in. “This isn’t going to work unless movement is added game is gonna be SOOOOOO rng it’s insane if you don’t get zone then you die late game,” said Benjyfishy. He was far from the only one to share their opinion. this isn’t going to work unless movement is added game is gonna be SOOOOOO rng its insane if you dont get zone then you die late game https://t.co/9id25a7vEE — benjyfishy (@benjyfishy) January 20, 2020 A common complaint about Fortnite in Chapter 2 is the extreme lack of mobility options, with the boat being the only way players can get around quickly, but that’s just effective on the waterways. Previously, Fortnite had plenty of mobility options like Ballers, Stormwings, Driftboards, etc. but all of that has now disappeared. Ninja was able to see Epic’s point of view, but also echoed the same concerns the other pro players had about the lack of mobility. “I can see where epic is coming from, as a spectator seeing teams and players rotating and not shooting and swinging pickaxes can seem odd but with no rotation items at all professional players understand when the time to fight actually is,” he tweeted. “Also, jumping? Best way to dodge snipes.” I can see where epic is coming from, as a spectator seeing teams and players rotating and not shooting and swinging pick axes can seem odd but with no rotation items at all professional players understand when the time to fight actually is. Also, jumping? Best way to dodge snipes pic.twitter.com/NenfqxdK12 — Ninja (@Ninja) January 20, 2020 All of the changes are effective immediately, meaning all of the future Cash Cups will already have this implemented, along with whatever tournaments Epic have in the future. This could end being costly for players who are stuck in their ways, such as those who jump or whip their pickaxe out by habit while rotating. How strict Epic will be with these changes remains to be seen and it’s possible they could end up being laid back unless you’re blatantly avoiding fights or things of that nature. • Ninja praises Fortnite for adding mechanic from Apex and Warzone in Chapter 3 – Dexerto

Ninja praises Fortnite for adding mechanic from Apex and Warzone in Chapter 3 Epic Games / NinjaChapter 3 came with a host of fresh changes to the tried and tested Fortnite formula, and it seems to have gone down well fans. Streaming superstar Ninja has welcomed one of the new mechanics, which is a fan favorite in other battle royale titles. While Fortnite always does numbers that other games can only dream of, Chapter 3 does appear to have breathed new life into the battle royale phenomenon. After a brief spell out of the spotlight, all eyes are firmly back on Fortnite in a big way. This is due, in part, to the big additions that have come as part of the new chapter. From Spider-Man’s web-swinging ability to new Super Styles to unlock, there’s plenty to get stuck into in the new era of Fortnite. But which of the new gameplay features is the biggest and best? Legendary Fortnite streamer, Ninja, has had his say in a recent Tweet. In a question to his nearly 7 million followers on his official Twitter account, Ninja asked what the best new feature is in Fornite Chapter 3. The content creator received hundreds of responses, some praising the new armored walls, while others preferred the ability to drop loot while knocked. However, one response was clearly Ninja’s favorite. When one of his many followers replied saying that sliding was the best new part of Fortnite Chapter 3, he simply responded with the “100” emoji. A common part of other shooter titles like Call of Duty and Apex Legends, sliding has been an incredibly popular addition to the Fortnite formula. Not only does allow players to quickly escape the closing circle, but it adds an extra layer of mobility to every gunfight. It can be pulled off any time a player is descending down a sloped surface, and it’s possible to generate some serious speed if you gather enough momentum. It’s yet another feature that makes Epic’s battle royale feel faster and more mobile than its peers. Fortnite players have welcomed the mechanic with open arms, and for many, it’s hard to imagine the game without it. Fans will no doubt be eager for even more new features if they’re anywhere near as well-implemented as sliding has been.

  • Ninja pokes fun at Fortnite Season 8 for copying Apex Legends and Sea of Thieves – Dexerto

Ninja pokes fun at Fortnite Season 8 for copying Apex Legends and Sea of Thieves Hugely popular Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Fortnite for ‘taking’ some of the best bits from Apex Legends and Sea of Thieves – and using them in the newly released Season 8. Fortnite Season 8 launched on February 28, with plenty of new additions to the game. Yet, the one thing fans have gone wild for is the improved pinging ability. A significant upgrade was made to the game’s pinging system, allowing players to better communicate locations of items and other things to teammates – even if they are unable to talk to each other. For some players, including Ninja, it’s incredibly similar to the system that Apex Legends currently uses. After getting his teeth into Season 8, Ninja asked his chat: “What do you do when Sea of Thieves and Apex become super popular but also, Fortnite is still popular, what do you do? You take the best of both worlds!” Read More: How to watch Fortnite’s $500,000 ESL Katowice Royale tournament – schedule, format, players, and more – Visibly holding back his own laughter, he gave the answer to his own question: “Update your pinging system from Apex and then you add Pirates from Sea of Thieves! That’s what you do!” While Ninja was clearly joking with his comments, it’s not unusual for games to take inspiration for others and implement their own versions of things that work elsewhere. However, the improved pinging system may not be all that Fortnite takes from Apex Legends. Players have noticed mysterious vans popping up across the map that may link to a respawn ability. While that is currently a visual bug with the replay system, content that will be added at a later point has made its Fortnite debut in this way – most recently, the New Year’s Eve disco ball event.

  • Ninja pleads with Fortnite to learn from PUBG’s creator skins mistake – Dexerto

Ninja pleads with Fortnite to learn from PUBG’s creator skins mistake Streaming superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained why Epic Games may have missed their chance to capitalize on Fortnite’s popularity with content creators by not releasing skins. Fortnite made its mark on the gaming world by having a unique look, taking a different approach to the battle royale genre with building, and keeping the game fresh with regular updates. One of the other major reasons why it is so popular is that Epic have constantly rolled out new cosmetics and even jumped on board with pop culture trends with the Avengers, Stranger Things, and even Marshmello popping up in-game. Yet, they’ve never – officially – copied games like PlayerUnknown’s Battleground and Rainbow Six: Siege in rolling out cosmetics for some of their biggest content creators. That may have irked fans who, while they can support a creator with creator codes, haven’t been able to don the cosmetics of a Ninja, TSM Myth, or even NICKMERCS. It’s also something that has frustrated Ninja, as he once again brought it up on stream. The Mixer broadcaster explained how when PUBG was in its prime, creators were turned down on skins until Fortnite made its mark and the developers wanted to try and turn the tide to get the creators back on their side. “I don’t know what it is, I don’t know if its devs being cocky,” stated Ninja. “It’s a bullsh*t move is what it is, because what’s the difference – and I’m angry about this – between giving someone a skin when your game is relevant and giving someone a skin when it’s not?” He noted that PUBG would have made the “most money imaginable” had they struck while the iron was hot and creators like himself, Dr Disrespect, Shroud, and Summit1g were playing – with it being easy to see how Fortnite could very well eclipse that. “Think of all the money they’re missing out on,” he added, growing in frustration. “Truly, if it was a business decision, there would have been a Ninja skin in this game a year and a half ago when I was averaging 200,000 viewers.” Of course, that’s not to say that it’s not impossible to get creator skins in-game, as Ninja admitted that if he’d moved on to the next title and Fortnite dropped him-themed cosmetics, he would still play and advertize. Whether it’ll ever be the case, though, remains unknown as Epic do their own thing and run with their own cosmetics.

  • Ninja pleads for Fortnite’s traps to be nerfed in passionate rant – Dexerto

Ninja pleads for Fortnite’s traps to be nerfed in passionate rant Twitch: Ninja / Epic GamesTwitch star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins might be the biggest Fortnite pro, but that doesn’t mean he always has to love the game – as evidenced in a rant about traps during his July 21 stream. Fortnite is constantly evolving, and to keep up with how the meta changes over time, Epic is always open to adjusting the stats for weapons and traps. In the past, traps saw a huge buff from 70 damage to 150. But now one of Fortnite’s best players is saying this decision needs to be changed. Ninja says traps need to be nerfed In his July 21 stream, Ninja turned to his audience and gave an impassioned rant on the current state of traps in the battle royale. “Can we just get traps nerfed again? I want to be the first person to publicly rage right now on their stream. Can we nerf traps? 150 is way, way too much damage. 125 solid, even 100, lit bro,” the Twitch streamer said. He then went on to explain how traps are almost guaranteed to kill you due to the 150 damage rate being too much, especially when mixed with the quantity of traps players tend to use against others when defending inside a box. “How many times when you are trapped in a box is it the one trap that kills you. No there is like 80 percent of the time, they have like 8 traps around. You’re dead dude. You’re gonna die! You’re gonna die!” He ended the rant by asking Epic to make the change, and encouraged fans to stand up and ask for traps to be re-evaluated. “150 is waaay too much! Pleeeeease! That trap damage has been way too high for way too long, and it’s time we stand up.” It wouldn’t be a Ninja rant if it wasn’t full of energy and passion, now would it? It remains to be seen whether Epic will make any changes to traps any time soon, but maybe Ninja’s plea will be heard. Only time will tell.

Ninja pleads for Epic Games to deal with hackers in Fortnite Epic Games / NinjaFortnite hackers have been plaguing the game causing mischief and mayhem, leading popular Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins to call on Epic Games to put a stop to the madness. Epic Games is constantly adding new weapons, items, and fixtures to its popular battle royale, but another element of the game has players wondering what’s taking so long in finding a solution. Ninja took to Twitter to express his displeasure revolving around hackers in Fortnite after he encountered one in a freak accident that saw the streamer’s character shot up into the air and subsequently dying. “Killed a friendly hacker that did this 5 seconds before… then another one comes in… [Epic Games]. PLEASE,” Ninja said of the incident. At first, it was fun and games, as Ninja got into the backseat of the vehicle for an quiet stroll through the air. But the after having enough time on the joyride, he disposed of the hacker and continued on only to encounter another hacker seconds later. It appeared that the second hacker wanted to replicate a jovial moment as the first, but the incoming hacked Quadcrasher got too close and sent Ninja flying to his death. The event left the streamer dumbfounded and utterly speechless until he took his plight to Twitter asking for the developers to finally make some changes regarding the issue.

  • Ninja plays devil’s advocate on controversial Fortnite v8.20 patch: “Epic has their reasons” – Dexerto

Ninja plays devil’s advocate on controversial Fortnite v8.20 patch: “Epic has their reasons” Top Fortnite streamer Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins has weighed in on the controversy over the latest v8.20 update, which has disappointed, or even angered, other Fortnite personalities and pro players. The issue with the update is not anything new that Epic have added in, but rather a reversal of gameplay changes that were added back in Season 7. The plus 50 shield/health that was granted for each elimination has been removed, as well as the cap on materials and reversed the 40% increase in harvest rates. Epic’s explanation for all of this was that it had created an “unhealthy level of aggressive play” – but this certainly wasn’t a satisfactory explanation for many. Dakotaz, Daequan, CouRage and more were all in disbelief at the changes, sharing their dismay on social media. But, one streamer noticeable by their absence from all the complaining, was Ninja. After starting his stream to try out the new update, he finally voiced his opinion, stating he wished to “play devil’s advocate.” “You know who isn’t going to be tweeting [complaining] today? The tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions, of casual players that don’t care about social media, and don’t have a following. The ones who might have hated the last updates, but we’ll never know about it, because they don’t post online, they don’t post on Reddit.” He also says that he trusts Epic Games “have their reasons” for making the changes, regardless of how he, or any other streamer or pro player, feels about it. The battle royale team at Epic Games are always paying attention to feedback, and if the community sentiment is largely in favor or returning to the pre-v8.20 version, it’s likely they will steer in that direction. Previous examples of this community-informed decision making include the X-4 Stormwing and the Infinity Blade, both of which were removed after streamers, pros and casuals alike all voiced their discontent on various social channels.

  • Ninja explains why playing Fortnite BR with controllers on PC is overpowered – Dexerto

Ninja explains why playing Fortnite BR with controllers on PC is overpowered Epic Games / Ninja TwitchTwitch streamer Tyler ‘Fortnite Battle Royale. Even though a lot of players swear by the mouse and keyboard, there is a portion of the community who feel that using a PlayStation or Xbox controller could give a bit of an unfair advantage. Though PC players have the ability to enjoy incredibly high frames on their custom rigs, console players have an aim assist that helps track opponents with their controller’s analog sticks. Then there are some players who get crafty by using a console controller on their PCs. Does Ninja have a problem with console players? Before discussions in his Twitch Chat turned into full-on console bashing, Ninja made sure to get the point across that he has no hate for console or controller players, but that the discussion definitely needs to be opened up again. “I think it needs to be talked about a little more,” Ninja said. “When the only thing they’re doing is the left trigger. If that makes sense.” Ninja is referring to the technique some controller players use that has them spamming the Left Trigger to constantly aim with their weapon. In doing so, they are getting a steady stream of aim assist in hopes of getting the best first shots. Aim assist is a delicate topic Even as the game’s most popular streamer, Ninja even finds it tricky to have an honest conversation about the ins and outs of the mechanic. “I don’t know, it’s so sensitive,” Ninja said. “It’s such a sensitive topic. I love console gaming. I came from console gaming. But when you’re on PC and you have the ability to deal with the frames. Like you get the frames for PC but you also get the aim assist for controller…” Ninja was at a loss for words at the possibilities for having the best of both worlds, instead saying: “ Like, look at Ayden. Ayden is literally just left triggering and getting 40 damage [per] AK shot. And he also builds like a legend.” With prize pools for the Fortnite World Cup getting bigger and bigger, it will be interesting to see how Epic Games goes about ways to level the playing field that some players think can be a bit skewed.

  • Ninja Picks Up an Incredible Fortnite Clutch With Just One Point of Health – Dexerto

Ninja Picks Up an Incredible Fortnite Clutch With Just One Point of Health Fortnite Battle Royale’s biggest star, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, has once again shown why he is thought of as one of the most clutch players in the game with a ridiculous 1 vs. 2 on just one point of health. There’s no denying the fact that Fortnite Battle Royale has taken the world by storm in 2018 and quickly become one of the most popular games in history. With its innovative building mechanics, enjoyable third person battle gunplay, regular updates, and hilarious emotes, dance moves, and costumes, it has something for just about every type of gamer. While easy enough to understand, the Epic Games title actually has an incredibly high skill ceiling – making it even more addictive for players trying to master the art of building and fighting at the same time. With the game’s rapid rise in popularity, a number of content creators have also seen exponential growth in their followings. None more so than Ninja, who has built up the largest following on Twitch thanks to entertaining persona and impressive Fortnite skills. On June 24th the streaming superstar shared a clip on Twitch with the caption “1 HP and a dream” which showed exactly why he is considered one of the most clutch players in the game. Unfortunately for his two opponents in this clip, Ninja clearly on top form: His ability to build so quickly, and have a plan in mind as he does it, is often the difference between Ninja and the players that he comes up against during matches. However, the two players that he styled on in this clip shouldn’t hang their heads low as he did recently beat a lineup of the best players on earth to win the $3 million Fortnite Pro-Am tournament alongside his celebrity teammate Marshmello.

  • Ninja has an idea to stop Fortnite cheaters from teaming in online cups – Dexerto

Ninja has an idea to stop Fortnite cheaters from teaming in online cups Twitter: Ninja / Twitter: FaZeSwayMixer superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has given Epic Games some advice to increase competitive integrity in Fortnite Battle Royale esports after another cheating accusation this week. Teaming has been an issue in competitive Fortnite for some time. It was an issue during the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers, and without an effective way to police it outside of community spectating, there’s a chance players can easily get away with it. In this week’s Fortnite Solos Cash Cup, allegations of teaming rose again with FaZe Clan’s Sway, after he was accused of it during the Solos Cash Cup. Ninja took this recent allegation as a chance to pitch a new way to stop teaming up in competitive Fortnite, and the idea isn’t a bad one. He said said that randomizing player skins and forcing anonymous mode in competitive will make it near impossible for players to team up. “Force everyone in competitive Fortnite to have random skins (to others) and force anon mode,” the Mixer star said. “Maybe even change the time of day for different people to prevent teaming. Should mitigate some of the teaming scenarios.” Dear epic games! Force everyone in competitive fortnite to have random skins (to others) and force anon mode. Maybe even change the time of day for different people to prevent teaming! Should mitigate some of the teaming scenarios. — Ninja (@Ninja) August 29, 2019 The community response to Ninja’s statement has been pretty positive. Many players agree that randomizing elements of the game will make it more difficult for players to team up. Read More: Voting system could be coming to Item Shop – However, some players have come out saying that there’s a simpler solution to just decrease the amount of information players get in game. FaZe player Soleil ‘Ewok’ Wheeler said that “the map and number of players are literally the only thing we need to know if we are in the same game. Changing skins and time of day won’t help much.” The map and number of players are literally the only thing we need to know if we are in the same game. Changing skins and time of day won’t help much. — FaZe EwOk (@Ewok) August 29, 2019 Ninja also made a video about the situation, saying that Epic has to take action to stop at least this form of cheating. “The fact that there are two pro players in solos who have talked about having some sort of alliance or some sort of way for signalling to their teammates that they are in the same game and they are that person just goes to show that there’s a lot of room for Epic Games and Fortnite to improve their competitive atmosphere.” My thoughts on the teaming/cheating in online cups situation. Its unfortunate but at the end of the day it is up to fortnite to mitigate this as much as possible. pic.twitter.com/JIgSKMI8z1 — Ninja (@Ninja) August 29, 2019 It shouldn’t be too hard to implement a solution like this, and it would help mitigate a lot of the issues Fortnite esports currently faces in online events.

  • Ninja offers potential solution to Fortnite’s Turbo Building catastrophe – Dexerto

Ninja offers potential solution to Fortnite’s Turbo Building catastrophe Epic Games / Ninja – MixerThe Fortnite community is in an uproar over Epic’s decision to nerf turbo building in the recently released v10.20 update, and top Mixer streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins thinks he may have found a solution to the problem. The changes to turbo building in the latest patch saw the time between build placements increase from 0.05 to 0.15. It’s not huge numbers-wise, but taking three times between building pieces means things will be missed during crunch-time. Myth was the first to take aim at Epic for the nerf, and expressed his disappointment he could no longer “crank 90s” since the change. Now Ninja has joined the cries against Epic, but he’s got a slightly different approach than just tweeting his annoyance. “I promise you if every streamer stopped playing this game, and every YouTuber stopped uploading content, I still don’t think Epic would change anything,” he said first. The idea clearly grew on him as he played, however. “It would be an interesting test. Just a week straight imagine if no pro players played in the Cash Cups. Every single Fortnite streamer with two thousand viewers or more, and said ‘We’re not going to play for two weeks, or stream it for two weeks’.” The Mixer superstar slowly began to convince himself of the idea, and as he spoke he began to work out details for the hypothetical ‘strike’ situation. “We’d have to legitimately form a union. Realistically if we all banded together in a group DM, we could say ‘We’re not going to play anymore’,” said Ninja. “We’re not going to play cash cups, we’re not even going to try to compete. We’re not going to do anything’.” Segment starts at 1:20 mark for mobile users. If Ninja decided he wanted to found that DM, he’d likely find more than enough content creators eager to join. The hashtag #RevertTurboBuilding has been trending on Twitter, and Epic’s newly revealed reasons behind the nerfs have only stoked the flames. Read more: Epic reveals why Turbo Building was nerfed – Ninja was one of those annoyed by their statement on the turbo building changes. “‘What we don’t want to do is dramatically impact how responsive building feels…” he read from the notes. “Well, you did that! That’s the number one thing you guys impacted.” It’s clear Epic are trying to level the playing field for casual players in their games, but that choice has drawn the heat from some of the biggest names in the game. With more and more players jumping on the hate-wagon, a revert to the nerf similar to Epic’s decision to reduce the power of BRUTE Mechs after #Removethemechs trended on social media is likely on the horizon in the near future. It’s that, or Ninja creates that DM group.

  • Ninja offers a hint on his future in competitive Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja offers a hint on his future in competitive Fortnite Fortnite star Ninja may be playing more competitive games in the future according to a recent Tweet. Ninja has focused on playing Fortnite casually with only occasional appearances in competitive tournaments, a strategy that has seen him become the number one Twitch streamer by a mile. But fans may soon see their favorite streamer in competitive events more often. While responding to a fan who said he enjoyed watching the streamer in competitive Fortnite, Ninja said, “expect more of this in the future.” Competitive Fortnite can be at odds with the fans of streamers, since there will usually be less audience interaction during an intense practice. Some competitive players do not even stream their practices at all, for fear of giving away strategies. He previously expressed a concern about how travelling to LAN tournaments can be detrimental to his streaming career. “I know that I would have to go to these tournaments. It’s going to take away from my stream time, take away from content, that also takes away from my Instagram, my YouTube channel and also my Twitter clips, that get a ton of interactions and mentions,” Ninja told ESPN while talking about focusing on streaming over competitive. Ninja also won the Fortnite Pro-Am, before Fortnite took off as an esport.Since the Pro-am, Epic Games has added Skirmish events and other massive tournaments with huge prize pools. Recently, Pop-Up Cups were added as an option for online players to compete. The Pop=-Up Cups would seem to be a way for Ninja to avoid his concerns about travelling. While Ninja is still vague on his competitive future, fans may be seeing more of him in competitive scrims with other streamers, Pop-Up Cups and major tournaments.

  • Ninja explains why he’s “nervous” about Fortnite’s future in Chapter 2 – Dexerto

Ninja explains why he’s “nervous” about Fortnite’s future in Chapter 2 Mixer star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained why he is disappointed with the lack of new items being added to Fortnite Chapter 2. Ninja has built a massive following during his time spent on the popular battle royale game Fortnite, even breaking into the mainstream audience with appearances on shows such as Jimmy Fallon. However, since the popular battle royale game has released Chapter 2 following the “game’s deletion,” the Fortnite star has been disappointed with Epic Games’ decision to stop adding as many new items. The Mixer star was playing alongside fellow streamer Dr Lupo when the pair highlighted how many content creators had shifted their focus to the new Call of Duty game instead of Fortnite. Ninja explained that he was nervous about the game while questioning how to make it more enjoyable, saying, “Why haven’t they added anything yet? I’m so like nervous.” DrLupo claimed that the delay in adding new items could be due to the competitive community’s past outcries over overpowered items such as the BRUTE mech being introduced and that Epic was likely waiting until the Fortnite Champion Series was over. However, Ninja quickly disagreed with his Fortnite duo, expressing that they did not show any signs of catering to the competitive players in past years. “There is a 0% chance that Epic Games are prioritizing not irritating the pro community over not providing new fun content, weapons, guns, and items for the other millions, if not tens of millions, who play the game casually.” Ninja later explained his solution for Epic Games that would please everyone, saying, “They know this too, all they have to do is just add whatever they want to the game but then give it like a month or two before it goes into pro, it’s not difficult.” The Fortnite star has been calling for Epic to add new items in Chapter 2 even before it was released, explaining why he feels that more than just a new map is needed to bring Fortnite back to its peak.

  • Ninja mocks “dumb” Fortnite players after being taunted by stream sniper – Dexerto

Ninja mocks “dumb” Fortnite players after being taunted by stream sniper Ninja/Epic GamesWorld-famous streamer Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins lost his cool during a recent Fortnite stream after he was knocked out by opponents he claimed weren’t playing fair. Ninja hasn’t been shy with feelings about stream snipers, who are people that watch a stream of a game while playing it at the same time to get an idea of where their opponent, or person they want to target, is. During a match with three other streamers including Timothy ‘TimTheTatMan’ Betar, Ninja went off on his opponents, who he was convinced were kids trying to get their 5 seconds of fame on his channel. During the round Ninja was knocked out by a squad that was apparently hiding and waiting just for him, and one of them even did a quick “Take the L” on top of his body. After this blatant disrespect, Ninja implored his last remaining teammate to avenge him when they ran into the same squad again. “Reverse, I need you to literally try harder than you’ve ever tried in your life,” he told his squadmate, before they knocked out the same player that had dance over Ninja. “What’s up little b*tch? Oh what’s up, hello loot. Thanks for the mats kid, you’re f*cking trash.” But Reverse2k wasn’t even close to done with this match yet, and Ninja even provided commentary from the mocking point of view of the supposed “kids” his teammate was systematically destroying. “Bro, controller aim is so OP dude,” Ninja said in a mocking voice. “He keeps head shotting me, this guys clearly on controller bro.” After his teammate pulled off the impressive W, the streamer had some final words for the player that had knocked him out at the beginning of the round. “Hey dumb, pink, stupid ass Ghoul Trooper who sits in a bush and took an L on me baby,” Blevins told the supposed stream sniper, who he was sure was still tuned in. “Hey, thanks for that crispy dub homie.” Even though Ninja obviously wasn’t too pleased about being knocked out by a stream sniper, the round did give him and his viewers a little bit of entertainment and payback at least.

  • Ninja makes major promise after failing to qualify for Fortnite World Cup – Dexerto

Ninja makes major promise after failing to qualify for Fortnite World Cup Epic Games / Ninja – TwitchTyler ‘Fortnite World Cup but promised he’ll be there next year shortly after it wrapped up. Ninja, arguably the biggest name in all of Fortnite, surprised everyone when he wasn’t able to lock down a qualifying spot to the World Cup. He still showed up for the Pro-Am event and casted the first two games of the Duos Finals, but he revealed that he would have enjoyed it a lot more if he were out there competing instead. The former Halo pro proved he still has a competitive fire burning in him and watching on the sidelines while players competed for millions of dollars had to sting. “I didn’t put the full time or effort in to be on that stage the last two days,” he tweeted. “I promise I’ll be there next year.” I didnt put the full time or effort in to be on that stage the last two days. I promise I’ll be there next year. — Ninja (@Ninja) July 28, 2019 Anyone who followed Ninja through the qualifying portion knows how far he came as a pro in Fortnite and he came close to qualifying several times. Malachi ‘Reverse2k’ Greiner, his duos partner throughout the World Cup, signed to TSM and qualified for the solos event, but has to be excited for a chance to run it back with a motivated and hungry Ninja. The future of competitive Fortnite is going to look a lot different as a lot of players made names for themselves in this World Cup, most notably Bugha, the winner of the solos. Ninja knows he has his work cut out for him and if Reverse doesn’t plan on partnering with him again, there is another big name just waiting. “Yes, Ninja and I will qualify for the World Cup next year since Reverse2k let him down,” the Doc tweeted. Yes, @Ninja and I will qualify for World Cup next year since @Reverse2k_ let him down. The Two-Time is almost certainly joking about being on the stage next year considering how much he’s criticized Fortnite but crazier things have happened.

  • Ninja loses his mind on stream, wants major changes made to Drum Gun – Dexerto

Ninja loses his mind on stream, wants major changes made to Drum Gun Epic Games / Ninja – YouTubeTwitch superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has had enough of the Drum Gun in Fortnite Battle Royale, and wants Epic Games to make some major changes to the weapon moving forward. There is no doubt that the Drum Gun is considered to be among the most powerful weapons in the game, and it’s been one of the main topics of discussion for the community over the past week or so. In fact, its overpowered nature was exactly why the Drum Gun spend so many months in the vault before being returned to the game on May 4. One prominent player who isn’t a fan of the weapon is Ninja, who has already made it clear that he believes the Drum Gun has a negative impact on the game. Ninja tweeted about the Drum Gun again on May 13, suggesting that Epic Games should do something to mitigate the influence it has on matches. “Drum Gun needs to be vaulted again or made into Epic rarity, with the same spawn as a [Boom] bow,” he tweeted. Of course, at the start of Season 9, the Drum Gun’s availability was dropped by over half – from 16.732% to 7.155% – but Ninja wants it to be lowered all the way to 0.755%, which would be the new spawn rate of the Boom Bow. In order for this to happen, the weapon would likely have to only come in Epic and Legendary rarities, so Epic would have to get rid of the Uncommon and Rare variants. Ninja followed his previous tweet up with another that showed his hysterical reaction to dying in a match while live-streaming. Although in that particular sequence he was eliminated with a pistol, he said that the ‘spaz attack’ reaction is one he has “every time I die to a Drum Gun.” Drum Gun returns to Fortnite BR After spending nearly eight months and four seasons in the vault, the Drum Gun was finally unleashed back into the game on May 4. A massive ‘Unvaulting’ event gave fans the opportunity to vote for one of six vaulted weapons/items to be brought back into the game, and the largest percentage of votes went to the Drum Gun.

  • Ninja loses it with “bugged” Lightsabers ruining Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja loses it with “bugged” Lightsabers ruining Fortnite Streaming superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has aired his complaints with the unpopular lightsabers in Fortnite, urging Epic Games to remove them a few days early. Part of the strength of Fortnite’s popularity has come from Epic Games’ ability to keep the battle royale fresh with constant updates, while also tapping into the real-world through holiday events and crossovers. The most recent crossover with popular culture has come in the form of Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, where fans were treated to an in-game trailer event, free cosmetics, and the chance to wield both the lightsabers and blasters. However, even though players may be fans of the iconic movie franchise, the chance to swing Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber hasn’t gone down all that well. Players have taken issue with the damage they can cause – and the damage they block – and urged Epic to get rid of them just like they did the Infinity Sword. Now, with the Star Wars crossover coming to a close, Ninja has aired his grievances. “Dude, just get the f**king lightsabers out of the game man,” Blevins said while streaming alongside Mason ‘Symfunhy’ Lanier. “Like, we had fun but just get them out. “It’s almost two weeks of lightsabers, get them out of the game, we get it. They can block infinite damage basically and they’ve been bugged since they came in.” He wasn’t finished there though, after being stunned by a death he’d suffered at the hands of someone wielding a lightsaber, Ninja added: “Come on, come on, get them out. They’re fun, they’re great to farm, everyone had their fun and got their challenges in – get them out of here dude.” Timestamp for mobile viewers of 1:20 Ninja is not the only Fortnite player to call for the specialist weapons to be removed early, however, as plenty of fans aired their concerns back on January 3. Of course, it’s unlikely that Epic will get rid of them anytime soon seeing as the remaining Star Wars-themed content will be removed on January 7. What’s going after them, though, is anyone’s guess.

  • Ninja loses it over Fortnite pump shotgun death: “How’s it even legal?” – Dexerto

Ninja loses it over Fortnite pump shotgun death: “How’s it even legal?” Epic Games / Ninja, MixerTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins couldn’t believe his eyes after being wrecked by a pump shotgun in Fortnite Battle Royale, striking him down a whopping 144 HP with a single shot. It’s been well documented that the pump shotguns have been severely nerfed in Fortnite over time, with it being one of the most popular weapons in previous seasons, but since a new version was released in Chapter 2 it’s been nowhere near as effective as its predecessor, or so we thought. During a Mixer stream, Ninja was building during a battle before finally leaving the structure to engage in battle, only to be totally wiped out with one bullet. Completely unheard of, we know, and that would explain his immediate reaction. “Brooo, with the blue pump? There’s no way in hell man,” he screamed after being eliminated. “There’s no way that he fadeaway’d me like that, dude, zero percent chance with the blue f**king pump shotgun.” What made the shot even more remarkable was the fact that his enemy leapt into the air, hip fired and wasn’t even aiming for Ninja’s head during the whole fight. “I can’t do that much damage with the Spas,” he later explained. He was so shocked by the elimination that he managed to find the player in Replay mode and watched the gameplay, which revealed it was indeed a 144 damage shot. The streamer even tested the damage with a gray pump in the respawn island, which deals 140 at point blank range for headshots, making the damage of that fade away, from such a range, pretty miraculous. “I can play this game all day and only use a blue pump shotgun and I promise you from that distance I will never hit for 144 – promise you,” he added. “I could be inside someone’s head, ADS-ing at somebody’s face and hit less than 150. There’s no way. What a f**king joke, man.” With a lack of patch notes being released during the course of Fortnite Chapter 2, it’s unclear as to whether or not the damage stats of the pump shotgun have been changed via an update. The game’s next major update is coming on February 20, where – for all we know – the shotgun or any other weapon may be sent to the vault. Ninja didn’t call for it to be removed, but it did question whether or not a shot like this should be “legal” and having seen the footage, not many would argue with that.

  • Ninja loses his cool with TimTheTatMan after dying in Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja loses his cool with TimTheTatMan after dying in Fortnite Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins hilariously lost his head after being eliminated in Fortnite while playing with fellow Twitch streamer Tim ‘TimTheTatMan’ Betar. The pair were part of a Fortnite squad with Paul ‘Action Jaxon’ and landed in Retail Row in search of a victory royale amongst a host of enemy players. Despite insisting they would land together, Ninja got caught in an engagement while separated from his team-mates and was quickly downed despite hitting his opponent for 114 with a pump shotgun. Blevins was quickly eliminated by the player causing TimTheTatMan to mock his skills on the battlefield, saying: “you’re really out here dying this game,” while looting the enemies he had previously killed. “Shut up Tim!” Ninja screamed in response. “I’m so mad right now man. That’s so lucky dude. Just bobbing and weaving around my shotgun shots while rocking me with the SMG.” Eager to avenge his fallen team-mate, Tim and Paul asked for the location of the player to which Ninja gave a hilarious response. He yelled: “I don’t know, where do you think he was? West! West – Paul! Let’s look at the builds.” Although Paul would suffer a similar fate as Ninja, Tim went on to clutch up for his team and kill the opposing player before mocking him with the ‘Take the L emote’. Tim couldn’t resist one final jab at Ninja saying: “Wow, that guy that killed you? That’s tough dude.” The team would go on to play one final game before Tim ended his stream but they were once again unable to come out with a win.

  • Ninja left speechless after choking Fortnite win by trolling final enemy – Dexerto

Ninja left speechless after choking Fortnite win by trolling final enemy Twitch: NinjaFortnite streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins was left speechless after he was brutally defeated, as a result of choking completely while toying with his enemy. In games like Fortnite or Warzone, lightning-fast reactions are essential to emerging the victor. Some players may prefer to hunt down their enemies methodically, others prefer to use aggressive tactics. Eventually, it all leads to a one-versus-one confrontation for victory. Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is no stranger to dominating his foes in Epic Games’ popular battle royale, especially when he’s streaming to every major platform in the world. However, Ninja’s viewers were stunned after the Fortnite streamer fumbled a potential win. Ninja pays the price for attempting to troll his Fortnite enemy If there’s any place that is horrendous for grabbing a Fortnite victory, Tilted Towers definitely ranks among them. Ninja was deep into the endgame phase of a match as the final circle drew to a close. With just one enemy in the way of a victory royale, the pair’s epic clash saw Ninja get too cocky for his own good. After hitting his foe with a few decent shots and using a Shockwave Grenade to reach him, Ninja did what all fiery Fortnite players get tempted to do: fire off a few emotes. “Hit ’em with the little pom-pom dude,” Ninja declared as his rattled through a few different emotes. With the victory seemingly locked in following a devious Boogie Bomb deployment, little did Ninja know that this fateful tactical move would be his last. His opponent didn’t hesitate to take advantage of Ninja’s taunting as they unleashed a barrage of bullets. Unable to comprehend the magnitude of this humiliating loss, all the streamer could do was sink into his chair. Viewers of Ninja have responded to the clip in question, with many agreeing he deserved this outcome. One TikToker said “honestly, that’s what he gets” as a result of baiting his enemy. Many commented that it is “so satisfying” to see the streamer lose, while others have critiqued his strategy: “It’s always the boogie bombs and emotes combined that are his worst moments.” Perhaps this is a good time for Ninja to leave the emotes in his locker.

  • Ninja left speechless after ‘broken’ Drum Gun glitch makes weapon useless – Dexerto

Ninja left speechless after ‘broken’ Drum Gun glitch makes weapon useless Epic Games / Ninja TwitchPopular Twitch streamer, Tyler ‘Fortnite Battle Royale. To give back to long time fans of Fortnite Battle Royale, Epic Games announced that they would be unvaulting one old weapon of players’ choosing and returning it to active play. The fans had the power to vote in-game for which weapon they wanted to see return from ‘The Vault’ and the Drum Gun came out as the clear favorite. After its return to active play, it appears that it still has some of the issues that got it vaulted in the first place, with many, including Ninja himself, deeming it as overpowered when it returned and many others noticed a bug with the gun, causing it to fail to fire completely. Ninja experienced this bug first hand on stream while playing Duo’s with fellow streamer DrLupo and was left stunned at what happened to him. During the battle with an enemy player, Ninja switched to his Drum Gun and attempted to start firing at the other player, however, the bug prevented him from doing so and he was forced to try to build for safety, to no avail. Ninja initially thought that he might have forgotten to reload the Drum Gun and figured that was the reason for his death, although during the clip it clearly indicates he had 50 bullets reloaded already. Many players are calling for Epic Games to either vault the Drum Gun once again or update the weapon so it is properly balanced and free from bugs and glitches. Epic did nerf the weapon significantly in the v9.10 update, but it clearly hasn’t solved all the issues.

  • Ninja lays out big changes Fortnite needs to “thrive again” – Dexerto

Ninja lays out big changes Fortnite needs to “thrive again” Ninja / Epic GamesTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has followed the suit of many other Fortnite content creators and revealed the big changes that need to be made to revitalize the battle royale game. Members of the Fortnite community have been taking to social media to express their anger with the current state of the game of late, with #RipFortnite trending on April 12 for hours on end. Following on from that, Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan revealed a video on April 13, laying out his biggest gripes with the game in its current state, and Ninja has now revealed his take. In a video posted to Twitter, the content creator shared Hassan’s video, explaining that it really “hit hard”. He tweeted: “Wow, SypherPK‘s most recent video really hits hard. I love Fortnite so much and really wanna see the game thrive again and be goofy and fun in regular matches. Would really bring back the streamers and YouTubers we all miss.” Those who watch Fortnite videos and streams on a regular basis might be saddened to see a number of big names abandon the title in recent times. Ninja has also been touched by this, with two of his previous teammates – CouRageJD and DrLupo – having quit the game. Wow @SypherPK ‘s most recent video really hits hard. In the video, he says: “I would like to see a larger-slash-goofier loot pool in regs, and in normal gameplay I feel like solos, duos and squads have gotten very serious. Bring back some more goofy, fun gameplay. “Maybe more players in regular games. There’s always 10 or 20 people left at the end of the first circle, before it even finishes closing,” he adds, before pointing out that the map has expanded massively since we entered Chapter 2. Other BR games, of course, do have a larger player count. SypherPK’s video, referenced by Ninja, can be found below. Another point Ninja came onto, which is something he has mentioned continuously in his Mixer streams, is the need for more skilful weapons for competitive modes. The streamer has previously advocated for the return of the Infantry Rifle, to counter the skill advantage controller players have been handed. Signing off, he said: “This game has been my entire life for the last two and a half years. It’s been a lot of you guys’ lives for the last two and a half years. I would just like to see some more communication out of Epic.” Whether or not Epic Games will act upon these calls from high profile streamers remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, something needs to be done to bring back the content creators who are leaving the game in droves.

  • Ninja jokes about accusations of copying Dakotaz and Tfue in Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja jokes about accusations of copying Dakotaz and Tfue in Fortnite Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is perhaps the first big name who made the switch to Fortnite, but despite that he has never had a set skin that players and viewers know him by. Over Fortnite’s lifespan, many of the bigger streamers have become known for a certain skin, like Benjyfishy with Fishstick and Dakotaz with the Snorkel Ops. It’s not that Ninja hasn’t tried to claim a skin, as he’s been jokingly asking for a skin based on him to be put into the game basically since launch. The developers haven’t added a Ninja skin and it’s unlikely they’ll ever do so, considering nobody else has gotten this sort of treatment either. However, any time Ninja has tried to use a skin, his viewers quickly let him know that what he was using was already taken. “I can’t have nice things anymore, dude,” he said. “I was using Brite Bomber and out of nowhere, everyone was like ‘That’s DK’s (Dakotaz) skin’ even though I had more viewers. Brite Bomber was DK’s skin so I had to leave the Brite Bomber alone.” What makes this even funnier is that Dakotaz has since moved on to the Snorkel Ops skin, so the Brite Bomber is once again free for the taking. This explanation came on the heels of Reverse2k saying the Pipsqueak pickaxe reminded him of Tfue, even though Ninja was the one using it at the moment. It just goes to show how much impact using the same cosmetics over and over can have. Since Fortnite releases new skins daily, Ninja usually scoops them up and wears them, meaning he’s constantly switching things up instead of settling on a main one. If Ninja wants to avoid accusations like this in the future, as harmless as they are, he will have to find a skin he really likes and stick with it. With a game that has as many different options as Fortnite, it shouldn’t be too hard to find something he enjoys. Even if there isn’t anything he likes a whole lot at the moment, there’s bound to be something eventually due to how many different cosmetics enter the game.

Fortnite Chapter 2 has taken much of the gaming world by storm and a lot of that excitement has crossed over into the mainstream and people who haven’t ever gone anywhere near the game have been asking about. Lady Gaga simply asked what “Fortnight” was on Twitter and was subsequently answered by many big personalities in the esports and gaming world. Ninja had a cheeky response to her by asking her to play but did so through only her song lyrics. “Call me on the Telephone,” he responded in a tweet. “I’ll give you a Million Reasons to play. You and I.” Of course, he was far from the only person to respond to her. Call me on the Telephone. I’ll give you a Million Reasons to play. You and I. pic.twitter.com/dL6y6bJrrW — Ninja (@Ninja) October 15, 2019 Smash Bros legend Hungrybox replied and called it the best tweet of the year. Twitch responded with and said they have some friends who can show her all about the game. IGN poked fun at her spelling of the game, as she called it “Fortnight” in her tweet, and they explained what a fortnight was. These are just some of the examples and there were many more. Yaaaaaaas queen, let’s get that bread :bread: pic.twitter.com/YMY8HWm053 — Discord (@discordapp) October 15, 2019 Despite her limited knowledge with Fortnite, the Bad Romance singer has dabbled in gaming before and even talked about it on Twitter. What’s even more surprising, the game she was talking about was Bayonetta, a game where the protagonist destroys demons with her hair. “Still playing #Bayonetta middle of chapter XIII and my hands hurt and I have to sleep and it’s 4 in the damn morning but this damn dragon with the face that I have to kill with my weave,” she said. Still playing #Bayonetta middle of chapter XIII and my hands hurt and I have to sleep and it’s 4 In the damn morning but this damn dragon with the face that I have to kill with my weave. Smh. Give it another go in the morning #gamer respect to the experts I need emotional support — Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) November 24, 2018 So, for those keeping score at home, Lady Gaga knows what Bayonetta is but not one of the most popular games in the world. Perhaps all of the responses she received to her question will help her better understand Fortnite in the future. She could always try a quick Google search if all else fails.

  • Ninja Hits The Most Insane Fortnite Sniping Clip We’ve Ever Seen – Dexerto

Ninja Hits The Most Insane Fortnite Sniping Clip We’ve Ever Seen The top Fortnite Battle Royale streamer, and arguably one of the best players, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has once again laid claim to that title with an insane sniping spree. Ninja, formerly a professional Halo player, has now taken his talents to Fortnite and quickly blown up as the face of the game and the face of Twitch (sorry Dr DisRespect). And for good reason too, as not only is Ninja a great entertainer, but his skills in game more than make for good entertainment on their own. If unfamiliar, Fortnite is the gaming phenomenon which pits 100 players against each other on an island map to fight for survival, either solo or in groups of up to four. The game is not only massively popular to play, but also to watch, with Amazon owned streaming service Twitch often having around 200,000 concurrent viewers watching people stream Fortnite at any given time. Ninja has capatilized on this new craze best, and has risen quickly to become the number one streamer on the site, and has even played with celebrities like Drake and Travis Scott. The reason for his success? Well, in combination with his excitable and charming camera presence, Ninja is capable of pulling off ridiculous moments like these. LITERALLY most insane amount of snipe headshots in a row I have ever hit. pic.twitter.com/ao5fueitMT — Ninja (@Ninja) May 5, 2018 There is nothing more satisfying in a game of Fortnite that the perfect sound of the long range snipe headshot, and having so many in quick succession makes this one of the nastiest sniper plays we have seen in a long time. With bullet drop and player movement to account for, Ninja certainly has it down to a fine art. You can watch Ninja stream live daily on his Twitch channel, for more ridiculous Fortnite action like this.

  • Ninja hits out at speculation of Fortnite’s alleged skill-based matchmaking – Dexerto

Ninja hits out at speculation of Fortnite’s alleged skill-based matchmaking Ninja, Twitch / Epic GamesPopular Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is fairly skeptical of Fortnite’s possible switch to skill-based matchmaking, as told during a live stream following the game’s Season 8 update. Ninja speculated that Fortnite hasn’t actually introduced the change, instead arguing that players have improved across the board since the game’s release in 2017. “I’m telling you, man, everyone’s just really good now,” Ninja said of the issue. “[TimTheTatMan] truly does believe that they added skill-based matchmaking, but I’m just not sure, yet.” The streamer went on to claim that wait times for lobbies and queues would be much longer, were the change actually implemented, and noted that solos are becoming a popular haven for competitive play over squads and duos. “I don’t think they did,” he continued. “Solos are sweatier, man. Duos and squads are the casual thing to do.” Speculation arose as to a possible skill-based matchmaking system after Fortnite’s third v7.10 update went live in January, with players like Counter Logic Gaming’s ‘Wish’ claiming that every solo he played was a scrim lobby. However, no mention of such a matchmaking system was found in the update’s patch notes – nor in the Season 8 update files. There’s been a hidden matchmaking update in the latest patch. Every solo i play today has been a scrim lobby. I remember one company that did this with their game and killed it. You guys ready for the same? @FortniteGame  — CLG Wish (@WishYaLuckk) January 9, 2019 Fortnite’s playerbase has historically been widely divided on the subject, with some pros feeling the change would “kill” the game (a la Bungie’s ‘Destiny’ debacle), while others argue that it would improve upon their experience exponentially. Concern has since arisen of streamers quitting Fortnite due to its sudden rise in difficulty – although the release of battle royale Apex Legends could have something to do with such claims, as the two are often pitted against one another in popularity contests.

  • Ninja hits out at trolls who posted an old clip of him struggling to build on Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja hits out at trolls who posted an old clip of him struggling to build on Fortnite Twitch megastar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has fired back at Fortnite fans who have been posting clips of him having difficulties building on the popular battle royale title. Recently, a Twitter account posted a video of Ninja playing Fortnite with Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo, when the pair came across an enemy team. Preparing for a build battle, Ninja began to build himself a base, utilizing a technique called “90s”. This involves the player spinning aroundd – doing 90 degree turns – building walls and ramps quickly to create a high tower in very little time. Top Builders: 1: Ninja 2: Ninja 3: Ninja Have you seen his 90s? pic.twitter.com/XLHK3Cn9gd— Tristen (@ConjuringsFN) November 17, 2018 After watching the video, some people began to criticize Ninja and his building skills, something which the Luminosity Gaming member wasn’t happy with, taking to his stream to mock those who posted the video by pretending to be them. “Bro have you seen Ninja’s 90s?” stated Ninja, pretending to laugh while sticking his tongue out to the camera. “It’s the mind of a troll dude.” “Let me just find the worst possible clip of Ninja doing 90s, like his first time really trying them and practising them real quick, and let me post this. Check out Ninja’s 90s, they’re just so bad!” Ninja has been on the receiving end of backlash from the Fortnite community after players claimed that Ninja had gotten them banned from the game. It has since been confirmed that both bans had nothing to do with Ninja at all, and one of them didn’t even take place. Since then, fellow Fortnite streamers have come out in defence of Blevins, with Ninja himself appearing on KEEMSTAR’s Drama Alert to address the situation. While Ninja continues to receive hate from some parts of the community, he’ll soon be able to party in New York, as he’s set to ring in a the new year with a 12 hour Fortnite stream from Times Square on New Year’s Eve.

  • Ninja hits out at “stupid little kids” hating on Fortnite Season 2 – Dexerto

Ninja hits out at “stupid little kids” hating on Fortnite Season 2 TikTok: Ninja / Epic GamesMixer streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is a staunch supporter of Fortnite and he’s hit back at players and streamers who have criticized the game’s Season 2 update, calling those unhappy “toxic” and frustrated because they had “fallen off.” Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 1 was the longest in the game’s history, so it was no surprise that fans of the popular battle royale title were anxious to get their hands on the new season, expecting some major changes to help freshen the game up as many complained it had become stale. Season 2 did bring a host of updates, including new spy missions and four locations, however a vocal section of the game’s fanbase felt that Epic Games hadn’t done enough. With Ninja repeatedly stating that he feels Fortnite Season 2 is the best the game has felt in a long time, it seems he has grown tired of the complaints and lashed out at those criticizing the title. While playing with SypherPK, Nate Hill, and Funk, Ninja received a message from a viewer, asking him what he thought of the season after all the “let-downs.” The streamer immediately disagreed, saying: “What are you talking about? This is one of the best seasons and updates they’ve had in the last four seasons. This is better than nine, eight, ten. I still get TikToks doing old Fortnite clips saying ‘It’s so sad Fortnite’s dying.’” “These stupid little kids don’t get it. They don’t give it a chance, it’s toxic. It’s not going anywhere, you might as well start playing it again because it’s fun as sh*t. The people who are still hating on this game are just ones that have fallen off like Sypher said. Didn’t put the time in to get good at it, and are just complaining because they’re not good.” “Or they’re just haters man,” concluded Ninja. “This is the most fun this game has been in a long time. In a long time! I’m excited to get on and play Solos because I’m down to land at The Agency and clear it out for two hours.” (Clip starts at 0:33 for mobile users.) The 28-year-old has been extremely vocal about the new Fortnite season already, explaining why he loves it in a tweet back on February 25. In it, he praised the developers for introducing the new Agency location, and their decision to alter the loot pool, which he feels makes gunfights faster, and adds extra mobility to the game.

  • Ninja hits insane head-shot snipe while doing a mid-air back-flip with the new Quadcrasher in Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja hits insane head-shot snipe while doing a mid-air back-flip with the new Quadcrasher in Fortnite The new Quadcrasher vehicles in Fortnite have been a hugely popular addition, and Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is already putting them to spectacular use. The star Twitch streamer was dominating Fortnite matches as usual when he and his teammate, and fellow popular streamer, Timthetatman decided to turn the game into a full on X-Games event. With Tim at the wheel of a Quadcrasher, Ninja noticed an enemy team perched up on a nearby hill. Electing not to take a shot with his Hunting Rifle right away, he told Tim to get them in the air using the power of a nearby Ruin. Once in the air, Tim used the Quadcrasher’s boost ability to thrust forward, causing the vehicle to do a flip mid-air, called a ‘Lazy G-Flip.’ The movement did not faze Ninja however, as he took aim and hit an incredible head-shot snipe at one of the enemy players, knocking him down with a single shot. XGAMES Quad BACKFLIP MID AIR SNIPE HEADSHOT Driver = @timthetatman pic.twitter.com/gJStNXcTOO — Ninja (@Ninja) October 17, 2018 The pair’s explosive reaction was one you would expect after pulling off a sequence as spectacular as that one, especially since it was pre-meditated and in no way an accident. As if the shot wasn’t enough, the stunt with the Quadcrasher itself was also pretty remarkable, as they were awarded for completing a ‘Lazy Rounder,’ ‘180 Orbit,’ and ‘Full G-Flip,’ earning a multitude of stunt points. While Ninja was the star of the show in this Fortnite edition of the X-Games, Timthetatman certainly deserves some plaudits for his expert control of the vehicle. He certainly has demonstrated much more mastery in Fortnite than in Call of Duty’s new Blackout battle royale mode, where he recently almost killed a teammate and then flash-banged himself in a hilarious match.

  • Ninja Hits Incredible Triple Snipe to Save TSM’s Daequan From Getting Eliminated in Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja Hits Incredible Triple Snipe to Save TSM’s Daequan From Getting Eliminated in Fortnite One of the more frustrating things that can happen in Fortnite is getting knocked and eliminated while your teammates are still alive. This was almost the case for Team SoloMid pro player ‘Daequan,’ who was playing with popular streamers ‘Ninja’ and ‘DrLupo’ on August 27. With their Fortnite match nearing its end, Daequan and Ninja came up against a full squad of players just outside of Fatal Fields, who managed to knock the TSM pro. With DrLupo already eliminated, Ninja had all the work left to do to get himself and his downed teammate out of the sticky situation. The result was a spectacular effort from Ninja, as he took down three of the enemy players with three, well placed snipes, not wasting a single shot in the process. He then finished things off by using a Bounce Pad to get to and eliminated the last enemy player, and revive Daequan before his health bar had fully diminished and/or the Storm had started moving in. It was business as usual for the Fortnite extraordinaire, who is so used to making outstanding plays like this that he did not bat an eye or lose his focus throughout the entire process, even planning out their next move just as he had finished that incredibly difficult set of gunfights. As he alluded to in his followup tweet, sometimes you just have to do what needs to be done to save your teammates. I do not always get a triple snipe clutch to save @tsm_daequan … but when I do… I get a triple kill snipe clutch to save Daequan.

  • Ninja hits back at Fortnite haters calling it a “kids game” – Dexerto

Ninja hits back at Fortnite haters calling it a “kids game” Twitch: NinjaStreaming legend Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has defended still playing Fortnite in 2023, after viewers told him it was a “kid’s game”. The meteoric rise of Ninja and Fortnite will go down in gaming folklore. From Halo esports to dominating Twitch alongside Drake, Ninja is still the most followed Twitch streamer by a huge margin. While Fortnite’s viewership and player base has slimmed down since its peak in 2018 and 2019, it still attracts hundreds of thousands of fans on Twitch. That’s especially true when creators like Ninja get back on the game. Ninja rejects viewers claiming Fortnite is for “kids” In a recent livestream, a viewer called Fortnite a “kid’s game”, a comment which elicited a passionate and fiery response from the 31-year-old. “This isn’t a kid’s game,” he said. “This is a grown man playing this game. [There’s] lots of them. Just because kids play it – look at Minecraft. So many old people are playing that game now. You know what’s a kid’s game? Hello Kitty Island.” He continued: “This wasn’t a kid’s game three years ago. This wasn’t a kid’s game when Dr Disrespect was playing it and Tim was playing it and NICKMERCS was playing it and CDNtheThird was playing it… This was Fortnite, one of the greatest f**king games ever invented.” Becoming increasingly humorous, Ninja started to parody children’s voices and joked that other titles are more “manly”. He finished: “What, because CoD came out with an actual good game for once? I play Warzone. I play a man’s game… We are playing video games. It doesn’t matter. You’re just f**king gaming.” While it’s true that Fortnite’s lack of violence and colorful aesthetic make it appealing to younger players, it’s also true that Epic’s building battle royale continues to attract a hugely diverse audience.

  • Ninja hits back as fan calls him a “hypocrite” over Dakotaz Fortnite drama – Dexerto

Ninja hits back as fan calls him a “hypocrite” over Dakotaz Fortnite drama Popular streamer Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins has hit back at viewers who call him a “hypocrite,” after he ranted about the current state of Fortnite. The 28-year-old has been openly critical of those who use social media to bash the game, especially fellow streamers who have made a living by playing it. This opinion saw him involved in a public spat with Twitch streamer Brett ‘Dakotaz’ Hoffman, who eventually blocked Ninja after venting his annoyance about the Mixer star’s opinion on his critiques. Despite his desire not to complain about the game, Ninja has grown increasingly frustrated with Fortnite in recent weeks and even admitted that he’s not enjoying playing the game in its current state after running into a host of bugs while playing on January 6. While playing on January 8, though, the former Halo pro once again found himself frustrated after trying to take control of a wall. He eventually failed to do so and got blasted by his opponent’s shotgun. After ranting about the game for a few moments, the streamer then turned his attention to the chat, where one user had made a comparison that angered him. “I hate this game,” he said in frustration. “I don’t understand how I can never take walls or floors, ever. I’m sitting there, I’m shooting and meleeing to replace it, and I just can’t compete! It’s so stupid! God, it’s so silly. Do I have to have zero ping to take a wall ever? So stupid.” “And to the little sh*t that I saw who typed: ‘You’re doing what Dakotaz does and you’re being a hypocrite’, I literally say that popping off in the heat of the moment is completely different than just tweeting out a negative opinion and not being able to back up what you’re talking about. It’s much more easy to contain opinions when you’re [not] in a stream. As I said, I freaked out on the game and went on to explain what I didn’t like, and now we’re playing the game and it’s great.” Clip starts at 1:18 for mobile users. Ninja’s thoughts on taking walls have been echoed by the Fortnite community ever since Epic Games confirmed that they had removed the coin-flip mechanic, which gave players on higher ping a better chance of gaining control. Once again, it’s based on the ping, with whoever has the lowest gaining a distinct advantage over their opponent. A frustrating feature for many players. One thing’s for sure though: the streamer doesn’t appreciate being compared to those who criticize Fortnite on social media, and he wants to make it clear that his moments of rage in-game are completely different.

  • Ninja hilariously roasts teammate during Fortnite tournament – Dexerto

Ninja hilariously roasts teammate during Fortnite tournament YouTube: Ninja / Epic GamesTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins might be one of the most famous streamers in the world, but that doesn’t mean he won’t make time for small streamers, too… well, time to roast them, at least. [jwplayer uZppK6qI] It’s fair to say that Ninja has served his time and done the dirty work in the streaming sphere, having spent years grinding to make it a full-time job, and then grow the stream to certified celebrity status. He knows the troubles and tribulations that come with trying to compete for a living and also make some spare cash on Twitch, but that doesn’t stop him seeing an opportunity to share some friendly banter with someone else on their way up — at the expense of their popularity. That’s what Fortnite competitor and streamer Paper found out while playing in the final week of Ninja’s very own Ninja Battles tournament, which featured a $80,000 prize pool. Paper has started to grow in popularity in recent months and started achieving more convincing results during tournaments, but that didn’t prompt teammate Ninja to hold back, who went straight for the throat with this hilarious roast. After asking Paper how long he’s been competing for, while sat waiting in the pre-game lobby with the third of their trio, Ronaldo, Ninja discovered he had actually been competing since day one: which gave Blevins all the fuel he needed. “Damn,” Ninja said after finding out. “You would think you would be more relevant,” which caused both Ronaldo and Paper to burst into hysterics, caught completely off-guard by the joke. Paper came back at Ninja, roasting his “ugly a*s” Adidas shoes and his pink hair, but the damage had clearly been done, with Ronaldo telling Paper that he had been “checked” by the former Mixer star. Though the good vibes were flowing, it didn’t do much to help Ninja and his trio, who finished in 27th in the tournament and outside of the prize money.

  • Ninja has perfect response after Fortnite stream sniper tries to embarrass him – Dexerto

Ninja has perfect response after Fortnite stream sniper tries to embarrass him Twitch: @Ninja / Epic GamesA stream sniper tried to embarrass Twitch star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins while he was playing Fortnite with friends, but the streamer got the last laugh with the perfect comeback. On February 21, the streamer was in a heated battle royale match with his friends Jack ‘CouRageJD’ Dunlop, Benjamin ‘DrLupo’ Lupo, and Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan. All was going well until CouRage noticed that a stream sniper was deliberately trying to sabotage their Fortnite game by embarrassing Ninja, but the 30-year-old brushed it off in the best way possible. Ninja’s perfect response to Fortnite stream sniper “Oh, they wrote Ninja!” CouRage exclaimed as he noticed a player building a word in the sky. “No they didn’t, look what they wrote!” DrLupo laughed excitedly. The player had actually written “Mixer” in reference to the now-defunct streaming platform that Ninja left Twitch for and signed an exclusive deal with back in August 2019. It closed its doors permanently in June 2020 due to struggles with its competition. “Oh no, dude. Oh no…” the streamer said after realizing it was a stream sniper trying to embarrass him. He then went quiet as his friends absolutely melted with laughter while he executed the most perfect response. Scrolling through his emote wheel, Ninja used the “Make It Plantain” and “Make It Rain” emotes to signify that he doesn’t care Mixer failed – he still made his bag. While the amount of money he made with the platform was never revealed, it is thought to have been around $30 million. No, that’s not a typo. So you can completely see why the stream sniper’s roast attempt didn’t phase him at all – it wouldn’t bother us in the slightest either if we were him.

  • Ninja has harsh advice for parents sending their kids to Fortnite rehab clinics – Dexerto

Ninja has harsh advice for parents sending their kids to Fortnite rehab clinics While some parents are worried about the amount of time their children are spending playing Fortnite, popular Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has a few things to say about their worries. As is the case with most video games that become incredibly popular, kids begin to spend a ridiculous amount of time playing them, leading their parents to become worried. The situation has seemingly gotten so bad, that some parents are even sending their kids to rehab due to them becoming addicted and playing up to 12 hours a day. As chronicled in a video that has been making the rounds on Twitter since it was posted on the morning of November 28, this is seemingly a widespread problem that many parents are facing. Fortnite addiction has become so serious that some parents are sending their kids into rehab pic.twitter.com/znyi5Peuqd — TicToc by Bloomberg (@tictoc) November 28, 2018 The video was accompanied with an article that at one point draws a connection between video games and drugs, as British behavioral specialist concludes that “[Fortnite] is like heroin. Once you are hooked, it’s hard to get unhooked.” To Ninja, however, the problem is not with Fortnite itself, but rather with the parents, as he makes it clear that the issue is with them not being able to curb their children’s habit more than anything else. He says that instead of in lieu of the article’s title of ‘Fortnite Addiction Is Forcing Kids Into Video-Game Rehab,’ they should have instead gone with ‘Terrible parents don’t know how to take their kid’s gaming system away.’ Title should be “”Terrible parents don’t know how to take their kids gaming system away”” — Ninja (@Ninja) November 28, 2018 This debate is nothing new, though, as most popular games are met with similar claims as parents fight to deal with their children sinking tons of time into a new game. With Fortnite recently crossing over the 200 million-player mark and much of the audience being of a younger age, it’s likely that this won’t be the last time we hear discussion on this matter.

Ninja Goes Off For Insane 23 Kill Round Against FaZe In KEEMSTAR Friday Fortnite $10,000 Tournament https://umggaming.com/shop/prime-membership During the ‘Friday Fortnite’ $10K Tournament, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins dropped an insane 23 kills to tie the series against FaZe. Ninja and Team Envy pro King Richard faced a massive 8 kill deficit against FaZe clan’s Turner “Tfue” Tenney and Dennis “Cloak” Lepore heading into the second map of the kill based tournament. Ninja and King Richard dropped a combined 4 kills in the first game of the series while Tfue and Cloak found 12 kills to take a sound lead. Ninja and King Richard made the decision to land at separate locations and try to rack up some serious kills en route to a comeback. • Ninja goes behind the scenes in creation of new stream room – Dexerto

Ninja goes behind the scenes in creation of new stream room Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevin’s new stream room has been a long time coming but the wait was definitely worth it. The Fortnite superstar released a new video going behind-the-scenes with his unique streaming setup. First, some background. Ninja began streaming in 2012 with Justin.tv which eventually became Twitch. He shared a video of one of those early streams to show just how far he has come. The streaming setup that he used to reach his Fortnite stardom is solid, but this new room blows it out of the water. The room boasts multiple camera angles, a wide arrange of snacks, and a boogie button. To reach this point, Ninja held actual pitch meetings where people came with ideas for the room. Then they built a true scaled down model of the room before the actual construction began. Ninja calls it “the best streaming setup on Twitch” and it’s hard to argue with him. The room is filled with Red Bull branding and the company almost certainly paid for the room’s creation. Ninja won two awards at the 2018 Esports Awards, for Streamer of the Year and Personality of the Year, and his new setup and continued popularity means he will likely be in contention again next year. His ability to interact with the background is also a perk most streamers don’t have. Occasionally a streamer will use a prop or sign to liven up their stream but Ninja now has a full analysts desk, an obscene amount of monitors and a disco ball.

  • Ninja gives his opinion on the most underrated weapon in Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja gives his opinion on the most underrated weapon in Fortnite There are a lot of different weapons in Fortnite Battle Royale, but popular streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins believes one might be the most underrated. Playing Fortnite live on stream as usual, Ninja found himself in an engagement with an enemy player, and the weapon he chose in the fight was none other than the Epic rarity of the Dual Pistols. What proceeded was relatively light work; two bursts from the pistols gave Ninja the easy elimination and prompted him to make a bold claim about the weapon. “Well then,” he said nonchalantly. “‘Dualies’ might be the most underrated gun in the game.” It’s hard to argue with his statement, considering how fast he wipes out the enemy player using the Dual Pistols, although it also could have something to do with Ninja being insanely good at the game. Introduced to Fortnite via the v4.5 Patch, the Dual Pistols are a set of two Rare or Epic rarity pistols that are equipped at the same time, allowing the user to shoot both with one pull of the trigger. However, despite its apparent advantages, the weapon never became a popular option among the player-base, with many of the top echelon of players preferring SMGs as the followup to their main AR weapon. But as Ninja proved in the clip, if used correctly and with accurate aim, the weapons can prove to be devastating, even at relatively long range. Considering Ninja’s influence in the Fortnite community, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see more players start using the Dual Pistols just based on his stated opinion.

  • Ninja gives epic rant on why bots should be removed from Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja gives epic rant on why bots should be removed from Fortnite Mixer streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins went on a hilarious rant regarding bots and their position in Fortnite Chapter 2, calling for Epic Games to remove them from their popular battle royale. Fortnite Chapter 2 saw the introduction of bots, both to fill up lobbies with the maximum number of people and to help newer, less-experienced players learn the basics of the game against some easy-to-kill enemies. However, there have been mixed responses from the competitive and streaming communities. Many feel that bots are unnecessary and simply enable players to get a few extra kills per game, for no tangible reason or reward. Blevins has often been a proponent of Epic Games’ actions, even when they have made some less popular decisions. He has even criticized Tfue for being overly-critical of Fortnite, encouraging him to go and play other games. However, while live on November 8, the Mixer star became frustrated with bots and lashed out at them in an incredible rant. Playing with long-time duo Reverse2K, Ninja finds himself in the middle of numerous gunfights while in Salty Springs. He tries to split up his enemies to make them more manageable and knocks one before adjusting his position. As he does, a bot comes up and distracts him from the real opponent he was fighting, causing him to get eliminated. “Get the bots out of the game!” he shouts. “Look at that idiot! I turn around and I see him first and I cracked him for 12, it’s like I would have killed the guy!” Timestamp: 0:28 “What’s he doing?!” Ninja exclaims. He then launches into a bizarre impression of the bots, throwing his arms around and making zombie-esque noises. “Truly, that might have been one of the most annoying bot experiences I’ve ever had!” he finishes. “We’re okay, I’ve just never been effed over by a bot in this game before. It looked like they were teaming! He basically tanked 20 damage for his homie… get the bots out of our game, we are professional players! I don’t need my stats padding!” Ninja’s opinion is one shared by many pros, but Epic have been known in the past to make wide-scale changes based on making the game easier for beginners. It was the main reason MECHs remained in the game throughout Season 10, despite their overwhelmingly negative reception. It seems unlikely we’ll see a complete removal of bots from Fortnite Chapter 2, but there is potential for adjustments to their spawn rates, particularly in higher skill matches, like those Ninja will be playing in.

  • Ninja gives brutally honest advice to get better at Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja gives brutally honest advice to get better at Fortnite Fortnite streamer Ninja gave incredibly honest advice to a fan who was looking to get better. While answering fan questions on stream, Ninja came across a player wondering why they were not improving after a year of gameplay. The fan asked Ninja if he had any advice and the popular streamer responded. “You’ve been playing for an entire year and you have not improved once,” started Ninja. “This is some of the most harsh advice I could give you, but try a different game?” He was joking and followed up with some real advice that was not any less harsh, “sometimes people just can’t get good at certain games… If you’ve been playing for a year and haven’t noticed a single improvement, that is not a good sign.” That was not all Ninja had to say and he continued to offer some general advice on how to get better at Fortnite. He claims that the time period of playing a game is nothing compared to how long you play in each session, saying “you could have been playing an hour a day for a year and that is nothing. You’ll never improve putting in one hour of gameplay per day.” In addition to playing more, players hoping to improve at Fortnite need to pay closer attention to what they do in game. “Make sure that when you are practicing playing, you actually do practice. Try every game, go into theater mode and look at mistakes that you made,” said Ninja. Finally, he suggests using the tools available to get better at Fortnite. “Practice playground. Build.” If none of that works, just use a boombox.

  • Ninja Gets Two Impressive Hunting Rifle Kills to Win a Match in Fortnite, Hilariously Calling Himself “The Lebron James of Lebron James” – Dexerto

Ninja Gets Two Impressive Hunting Rifle Kills to Win a Match in Fortnite, Hilariously Calling Himself “The Lebron James of Lebron James” The incredible thing about Fortnite: Battle Royale, and a major reason why it has become so popular and successful, is that it offers players a wide range of opportunities to produce amazing moments. The various and unique in-game weapons and mechanics give players the freedom to demonstrate their mastery of the game in so many different ways. One player whose name has become synonymous with Fortnite mastery is popular Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, who has essentially become the face and ambassador of the game. Ninja, who leads the unofficial Fortnite leaderboards in career kills with over 58,000 eliminations, got another two to in amazing fashion to clinch a Victory Royale. Read More: Lightning Pandas Expand Into Fortnite Battle Royale With Announcement of Stacked Professional Roster – Ninja was live-streaming the game on May 24th when he used one of this favorite weapons, the Hunting Rifle, to hit a couple of handy snipes to end the match, all while saying a statement that was, at the very least, humorously peculiar. “Oh my God dude, bro I’m telling you bro, I’m like the Lebron James of Lebron James. Watch this. Reload, watch this. This is what you’re meant to do.” The Lebron James of Lebron James #Quoteoftheday pic.twitter.com/18gcDTPRMI — Ninja (@Ninja) May 25, 2018 His statement is of course referring to professional basketball player Lebron James, who is widely considered to be the best player on the planet. Aside from the funny quote, it was quite remarkable how Ninja hit both of his shots with a first-time effort, even calling out the game winning snipe beforehand. Lost in the glamour and humour of the sequence are the “oo’s” and “ah’s” of his teammate ‘King Richard,’ who is the captain of Team EnVy’s professional Fortnite team, and with whom Ninja is participating in the weekly Friday Fortnite tournament.

  • Ninja gets emotional explaining why he misses Fortnite’s original map – Dexerto

Ninja gets emotional explaining why he misses Fortnite’s original map Epic Games/Mixer: NinjaFortnite and Mixer star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins became emotional while live on May 21, as he explained to his followers why he misses Fortnite’s original map so significantly. Fortnite Chapter 2 has, despite initially being seen by many as the next boom stage for Epic Games’ building battle royale, promptly lagged into frustration for a number of the game’s most prominent players. Skill-based matchmaking, drawn-out seasons, and lack of patch notes are all sticks players have used to beat Epic with. Ninja, despite regularly defending Fortnite from criticism, has grown increasingly frustrated with the game’s new map, a point he explained during his May 21 live stream. “Quiet man,” Ninja said. “Quiet Fortnite. They [Epic Games] gotta do something about this, mid-game. So many people were being held in the storm because the zone was moving so fast and the map was so big and there was no rotation… and their fix to that was to make it like a four and a half minute storm circle close… all that does is just draw this sh*t out.” Essentially, Ninja was arguing that the flow of the average Fortnite match has been thrown off by the introduction of the new map, and the imbalance between mobility and map size. This was not a criticism he had of the old map. “I haven’t seen or heard a shot in like five minutes,” he continued, before moving on to how different the old map felt: “I’m so annoyed, I just miss the old POIs so much man. I do, I miss the old POIs so much. I miss Tilted, I miss Paradise, I miss OG Risky Reels.” Timestamp – 0:18 “I miss Lazy Lagoon, I miss Lazy Lagoon dude” he finished, before pouring cold water on any hopes fans have of the old map returning. “The old map is not coming back, I just miss it dude.” The introduction of Chapter One’s map does indeed feel very unlikely. The amount of time, planning, and design that will have gone into the creation of Chapter Two’s map means that a u-turn and reintroduction of the popular Chapter One setting is pretty much off the table. Regardless, it looks like Ninja wants to see some changes made to mix up the new map and improve its lackluster pacing.

Ninja claims Fortnite fight victim at DreamHack Dallas was “asking” for it Twitch: Ninja / Epic GamesAfter hearing about the fight between two Fortnite pro players at DreamHack Dallas, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins claimed the victim was “asking” for it after intentionally griefing the attacker in-game. On June 3, Fortnite pro DiegoPlayz was on the verge of winning a LAN tournament at Dreamhack Dallas. However, another player who had already been eliminated allegedly landed near him and tried to ruin his game on purpose. After it happened, Diego sought out the other player in person and attacked him. A snippet of the incident was caught on camera. He later apologized for his reaction, although he insisted it felt “horrible” to have been griefed. https://twitter.com/yungcalc/status/1532947205698502656?s=21&t=Y_eZUqCtm7SQYhRm-cI3QA The event piqued Ninja’s interest. “The guy in first or whoever was about to quality went over to him and beat the sh*t out of the guy who griefed him?” he said. After being told the victim griefed the attacker intentionally and was sitting in last place when it happened, he added: “That sounds good to me, man! What a f**king loser. You play stupid games, you’re going to win stupid prizes.” “That f**king reject thinks that it’s cool to ruin the competitive integrity of another player who is better than him and is performing better than him at a live event, and he’s going to grief him on purpose?” Finally, Ninja said that while he doesn’t think it’s ever appropriate for one player to “beat the sh*t out of” another player, he claims the victim was asking for it by doing what he did. “You cannot tell me that kid didn’t ask for it!” Ninja’s thoughts on Fortnite fight on LAN “I don’t think you should beat the sh*t out of somebody but you can’t tell me the kid didn’t ask for it”pic.twitter.com/2iZOte8yEF — Jake Lucky (@JakeSucky) June 4, 2022 Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney also chimed in by commenting on the video and agreed with everything Ninja had said. “Couldn’t have said it better, to be honest,” he said. However, not everyone agreed with that sentiment. DreamHack hasn’t released an official statement addressing the incident. As it stands, the two players haven’t been banned from attending future events. However, that could change as the debate about who was right and wrong wages on.

  • Ninja explains why the current Fortnite meta is making it hard for casual players – Dexerto

Ninja explains why the current Fortnite meta is making it hard for casual players The Fortnite meta is arguably the most complex it has ever been and popular Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins explained why that makes it difficult for newer players to jump into the game. Since its launch back in 2017, Fortnite has gone through an ever-changing meta but it has started to grow stagnant as players get better and better at the game. Many players, including Ninja, are arguing that if there were ever going to be a ranked system implemented, now might be the perfect time for it. During a recent stream after a lengthy fight against an opponent in the storm, Ninja went on a short rant explaining why Epic Games almost needs to add a matchmaking system for players. “Bro, dude, I’m sorry man, at this point, it’s almost like Epic needs matchmaking, dude,” Ninja said. “I don’t see a Smitty Barstool winning a game in this meta, maybe on PC, this is just so nuts.” “It’s just every fight I’m getting double-teamed, triple-teamed, third-partied, launched on, built on, pyramided.” he said, before condemning the turbo build buff. “That buff to the turbo update man, so that you 100 percent can’t get shot basically if you’re building, good luck trying to kill anyone man,” He added, before going over a laundry list of items players need to take on a building enemy. “You need stink grenades, dynamite, clingers, explosives.” With the Fortnite meta being the way it is, it’s pretty had to disagree with him.

  • Ninja forced to commentate over stream snipers during Fortnite tournament – Dexerto

Ninja forced to commentate over stream snipers during Fortnite tournament Epic Games / Ninja, TwitchPopular Twitch streamer and Fortnite player Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins’ stint in Europe has seen a plethora of notable moments – but one instance stirred a bit more controversy than the rest. Ninja was in the midst of his ‘Night Shift’ Fortnite event in Poland when he became the unfortunate victim of stream snipers, who managed to hit him from over 209 meters away. While Ninja put up a good fight, he ultimately lost a tense skirmish with the snipers – which led to some jokingly heated comments from the streamer. “That’s okay, man,” Ninja said of his death. “It’s alright, dude. Now I get to commentate the entire game, dude. It’s just what I wanted to do from the beginning, anyway. It doesn’t matter.” The sniper who took Ninja out, ‘Huuuber,’ broke out into an emote as a humorous taunt, to which Ninja made an even spicier comment. “Just gotta – some wonderful, wonderful sportsmanship from these guys,” Ninja continued sarcastically. “…you took me out this early, got the Marshmello skin on, lookin’ fresh.” Comments in a YouTube video of the altercation showed widespread sympathy for Ninja, with some users calling the snipers “toxic” due to sniping the streamer at his own tournament. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2HH22Isols“They were probably some toxic kids who wanted to say that they could kill Ninja at school,” one wrote. “You can tell Ninja is pissed, but he’s not showing it,” said another. While Ninja suffered an unfortunate loss, his trip to Europe saw some lighthearted and hilarious moments – including his NSFW flub of the French language with popular streamer Gotaga during their joint stream.

  • Ninja fears Fortnite is setting itself up to be the next H1Z1 – Dexerto

Ninja fears Fortnite is setting itself up to be the next H1Z1 Ninja Twitch/Epic GamesFortnite is still the king of battle royales right now but Tyler ‘H1Z1, which is not a good thing. Ever since Fortnite’s release, it has held a practical stranglehold on the battle royale market and while other challengers have appeared, nothing has found a way to knock it off the throne. It might end up being that another game doesn’t even have to do it as Epic Games appears to be doing that themselves with the recent updates. Fortnite v8.20 changed the game as we know it Update v8.20 will no doubt go down as one of the most controversial updates Fortnite has ever released. Many, with Ninja one of the few leading the pack, were so frustrated with the update and the direction it was taking Fortnite that they chose to play other games instead, including UNO and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Now, Ninja fears that if Epic Games continues to not listen to the community, Fortnite will go down the same path that doomed H1Z1 and caused the game to die. “I’m telling you man, they gotta be careful,” Ninja said. “They’re taking on too much at this point and [there are] still so many glitches in the game that have needed to be fixed. Gotta be careful, dude, they’re going down the path of the H1Z1.” H1Z1 used to be at the top of the food chain but a plethora of bad updates and decisions by the developers doomed the game and caused all of the major streamers to jump ship. Fortnite is still far from becoming H1Z1 Fortnite still has a long way to go before the game actually dies but a lot of players do agree the game is heading down the wrong path. Even after the release of the first update following v8.20, Fortnite pros are still blasting Epic Games for the decisions currently being made The game will still retain a large player base because of the Fortnite World Cup but it’s hard to imagine people still supporting Epic Games beyond that point if the updates don’t improve. Epic Games does listen to the community, as evidenced by the swift removal of the Infinity Blade shortly after it was added, but it remains to be seen if they are actually reading the reactions of players with this past couple of updates.

Ninja and FaZe team up in new Fortnite Championship Series squad Tyler ‘Fortnite esports, with his new four-man competitive squad revealed ahead of the Fortnite Championship Series. For many, Ninja is the face of Fortnite, and for much of the popular battle royale’s lifespan, he was the game’s top streamer on Twitch before his surprise move to Mixer back in August. While his streams largely feature him playing casually, the American has also made efforts to compete professionally, coming agonizingly close to securing a spot at the Fortnite World Cup. With the Fortnite Championship Series set to return to action on Friday, Ninja’s team for the competition has been confirmed, and sees him team up with two FaZe Clan stars and his long-time duo. Unsurprisingly, the 28-year-old is linking up with long-time duo Malachi ‘Reverse2k’ Greiner, who he has played competitively with for much of the game’s esports history, and attempted to qualify for the Fortnite World Cup Finals with throughout 2019. Ninja faces backlash for promoting his own Support-a-Creator Fortnite code Many in the online gaming community have not taken too well to Twitch superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins promoting his own Fortnite Support-a-Creator code. Support-a-Creator is an Epic Games sponsored program that gives qualified Fortnite content creators a code that will allow their supporters to contribute a small amount of revenue each time they purchase or earn V-Bucks. Naturally, someone of Ninja’s enormous presence was given a code, which the popular streamer was more than happy to share to his supporters live on stream. Read More: Reddit shows YouTuber HappyPower breaking Fortnite EULA and gets him removed from Support-A-Creator – “Support a Creator is live! You guys can support me by going into the Item Shop tab, Click on the Support a creator at the bottom right of the screen, Type in Ninja and BOOM,” he explained. “Thank you all so much for following me throughout this incredible Fortnite Journey!” Almost immediately, many took to social media to attack Ninja’s decision to promote his code, claiming that he shouldn’t have done so because already has a lot of money and wealth. The backlash became so heavy and constant, that the streamer had enough and posted a followup tweet explaining himself and his position. “Per my last tweet, it was mainly about letting you all know you can support a creator,” he posted. “Obviously if you choose me that’s great! But absolutely support other creators for any reason that you may want to and stop being rude towards me for spreading awareness. • Ninja expresses disappointment at the lack of a Ninja skin in Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja expresses disappointment at the lack of a Ninja skin in Fortnite Ninja / TwitchTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins doesn’t criticize Epic Games often but his massive following means that when he does, a lot of people see it, even if it is made in good humor. Widely regarded as the ‘face’ of Fortnite, Ninja has been glowing in his reviews of both the game and its developers, Epic Games, throughout most of 2018. However, that changed somewhat during a recent stream when the 27-year-old voiced his frustration at the developers not adding a ‘Ninja’ skin to the game or promoting him as much as the other creators. “Fortnite Tweeted out ‘Looking for a fun, laid-back Fortnite stream? We’ve got you covered! Drop in to @ Not Ninja’s stream because we don’t want a Ninja skin in the game’,” Ninja said in a clip that was shared on Reddit. He then went on to say that he was trolling and not really that angry, but concluded with: “I’ve only been streaming their game since pretty much it came out, advertising to about a billion people, you know? Yeah, I don’t deserve anything!” Having now played the game almost exclusively for a year, and becoming the biggest streamer on Twitch in the process, Ninja’s wish to have his own skin in the game is an understandable one. The streaming sensation has amassed over 11.5 million followers on Twitch, over 18.5 million YouTube subscribers and just under 3.5 million followers on Twitter, but a Ninja Fortnite skin would certainly be the cherry on top! No matter how he feels about not having his own skin, Ninja is still a big supporter of Epic and Fortnite – something that he has made clear on a number of occasions.

  • Ninja explodes at Funk after falling victim to Fortnite stream snipers – Dexerto

Ninja explodes at Funk after falling victim to Fortnite stream snipers Epic Games / Mixer: NinjaTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins didn’t hide his thoughts on Trevor ‘Funk’ Siegler’s playstyle after the Mixer superstar found himself alone and outgunned against a four-man Fortnite stream-sniping squad, despite having three squadmates. Ninja, the streamer’s regular duo partner Malachi ‘Reverse2k’ Greiner, Funk, and FaZe Ewok were grinding out Fortnite squad matches, looking to pick up an elusive win-streak, when a group of stream snipers arrived looking for kills. While Ninja clearly thought he was about to get backup as he raced towards his opponents, his FaZe teammates had other ideas. Blevins got off a bit of damage, and hope flickered for a second he may be able to one-vs-four. Instead, the alleged stream snipers quickly polished the Mixer star off, and left him seething at his friends. In particular, Ninja turned the jets on Funk, blaming him for “moving too far off ahead” when Ninja was still “200 meters behind.” “I’m so f**king mad right now… I’m behind you guys!” the streamer exploded during his Feb 6 broadcast. When Funk suggested it wasn’t his fault, Ninja ramped up more. “I’m mad at all of you. I don’t play squads for someone to go off on their own!” According to the Fortnite star, who claimed he was “100% truly mad” to his viewers when he muted himself moments later, he “f**king hates people who run away,” and accused Funk of leaving him behind “every single game.” “Now I’m f**king dead, because you got in trouble and everyone had to go help your ass out, and then I get killed 200 meters behind. Then I got a whole stream sniper squad that kills me, it’s so annoying man,” he added. “You guys think I’m being a f**king baby? I didn’t just loot up for seven minutes, upgrade my SPAS, have a purple RPG so I could get stream-sniped and die without my squad, that’s not why I play squads. I’m so f**king pissed.” Tensions continued to rise as Ninja dolled out angry comment after angry comment, and Funk suggested it was best if the squad just restart so everyone could play instead of Ninja being on the sideline for a while. For some reason, that seemed to tilt the Mixer star even more, and he demanded Funk and the team keep playing to keep a win-streak alive. The FaZe youngster seemed to not take that too seriously, however, and started playing around. As he edged closer and closer to the side of his tall construction, threatening to jump, Ninja began to beg: “Please, just play it out… please, Funk, I want you to play it out. Pleeeeease! I’ll be even madder if you don’t get a dub.” For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 1:02 in the video below. Unfortunately for Ninja, Funk had other plans, and tumbled to his death for a 6th place finish. In the post-game lobby, the peeved streamer turned his attention to his viewers, who had been telling him to pipe down during the outburst. “I’m allowed to be mad at my friends! I’m allowed to rage at my friends without you guys judging me and telling me to shut up,” he yelled, then settled down until another comment suggesting it was “just a game” caught his eye. “If anyone ever uses the excuse it’s just a game I’m going to lose my mind! Imagine telling Lebron James, Tom Brady, it’s just a game. It’s about respect and pride. It’s so much bigger. Anyone that uses that excuse is a horrible, lazy human being.” While you may be judging Ninja, it’s hard to admit you haven’t been there before — in sports and gaming tensions run high, and there’ll always be outbursts once in a while. This time, it was just Funk unlucky enough to be caught in the crossfire.

  • Ninja explains why young Fortnite pros have it “so good” compared with esports’ past – Dexerto

Ninja explains why young Fortnite pros have it “so good” compared with esports’ past L: Epic Games / R:NinjaStreaming star Tyler ‘Halo player. The esports scene has changed a lot over the past the decade, and it’s changed even more since the release of Fortnite in 2017. Gone are the days of needing to convince your parents to let you fly to tournaments, as Fortnite lets you play from the comfort of your own home – something Ninja explained makes things much easier. “Every single 13-year-old to 80-year-old that’s complaining and tweeting about ping,” he began, “…the fact that you even get a chance to compete for millions of dollars online instead of having to spend thousands of your own money to travel, and buy a hotel, pay for your freaking flight … then you have to stay there for three days because it’s a multiple-day tournament … and you might not even win.” Ninja mentions how hard it is to convince your parents to spend tons of cash without even being guaranteed to bring any money back. “Try convincing mommy and daddy to let you fly to California when you live in New York – it’s a 6-hour flight,” he continued. “Please. These kids got it so good they don’t even know it.” Having low ping is very important in a competitive setting, which explains why so many players stress about having the lowest number possible in competitions. With all of the Fortnite tournaments being online outside of a few events, ping never been more prevalent, but Epic tried to minimize that with the Turbo Build changes. Instead of coming down to who has the lowest ping, Fortnite wall replacements are now decided by a coin flip behind the scenes. It’s not clear how much that will affect the game going forward, but Epic believes it’s a step in the right direction.

  • Ninja explains why the Infantry Rifle is actually the best gun in Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja explains why the Infantry Rifle is actually the best gun in Fortnite Fortnite’s Infantry Rifle was added to the game on February 14, and much of the community was underwhelmed by the new weapon’s capabilities – but Twitch star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins thinks that it could be the best gun in the game. The rifle’s utility can fall under an awkward spot for some players, as the gun’s lackluster damage makes it hard to use as a primary assault rifle, while others don’t see its viability as a sniper. During a game of the battle royale title, Ninja had to disagree with his squad mates who were bashing on the weapon, while explaining how to properly use the rifle. His teammates were entirely in disbelief as Twitch’s biggest star had even gone so far as say that the Infantry Rifle was a “better AK.” “Ugh [the Infantry Rifle] is not bad at all, what are you talking about,” Ninja said in defense of the rifle. “What? It’s not bad at all. You could shoot so quick. Look, all Im saying is that its a better AK. You can shoot way faster and be way more accurate.” (Timestamp at 0:09 for mobile viewers) Ninja was vehement in his support toward Fortnite’s latest weapon, pointing to the gun’s incredible accuracy and the 40+ damage it gives with every hit. “If you get high ground with that thing and you know how to shoot with it, you’re gonna destroy,” Ninja said. It was no surprise that his audience and teammates were speechless at Ninja’s opinion, and it might take more than a few Victory Royales with the gun to convince his larger audience.

  • Ninja explains why The Agency is a better Tilted Towers in Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja explains why The Agency is a better Tilted Towers in Fortnite Mixer: Ninja/Epic GamesStreaming superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained why the new season of Fortnite currently feels like the previous updates – and why he prefers The Agency to Tilted Towers as a map location. With the start of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2, Epic Games dropped the V12.00 update that added the secret agents theming, weapons, cosmetic items, and map changes to the uber-popular battle royale title. To tie it all into the Top Secret theme, new locations have sprung up around the map that allow players to fight against human enemies as well as NPCs in the search for better loot. As a result, these spots have become hot drops – with The Agency, which spits in the center of the map, starting to resemble Tilted Towers due to how many players drop there. During his February 26 stream, Ninja made that same comparison after being eliminated from a game – explaining that the current update “does feel like the old Fortnite.” As to why that was, he added: “It’s still like no mats, weird loadout, early fights – this is Tilted bro. If you don’t think this is early Fortnite / Tilted, you’re in denial. All these fights are minimal building, there’s not crazy edits at the beginning – pretty much spray and pray. Anyone can kill anyone here.” As for which one he prefers, Ninja had to side with the current drop spot. “I prefer The Agency over Tilted. I do, I prefer it. It’s literally the same thing, it’s the same.” The Mixer star also added that there a lot of elements that the new location takes from Fortnite including lots of chests, players being mobile, and lots of fights. “Obviously, it is not, by definition, Tilted Towers, but it is literally the same things that made Tilted great is what The Agency is.” Of course, as the new Fortnite season unfolds, there could very well be changes made to the new points of interest. Whether or not that will change down the line still remains to be seen, but as it stands, Ninja is a fan of what he’s playing.

  • Ninja explains why Tfue’s Fortnite Season 3 criticism is wrong – Dexerto

Ninja explains why Tfue’s Fortnite Season 3 criticism is wrong Ninja /TfueMixer star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained why fellow streamer Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney “complaining” about the changes in Fortnite Season 3 was unfair. After a few setbacks and delays, Epic Games finally released Fortnite’s Season 3 on June 17, bringing along many changes to the popular battle royale title that fans were eager to try out. Along with a flooded map, Season 3 introduced some new weapons such as the Charge Shotgun, although Tfue was not too happy about the new weapon loot pool in Fortnite, claiming that it was “rough” compared to previous seasons. Ninja, who was streaming alongside Myth shortly after the new patch dropped, responded to Tfue’s criticism and said “there’s no way” he was voicing his complaints this early into the season. “Within the first ten or thirty minutes into the season, Turner is already complaining,” he added, before questioning the latest changes, “But like I don’t understand what they removed, there’s a new pump that adds a completely new dynamic to the game.” He then began listing all of the weapons that had remained in-game since season 2 and was unsure of how Tfue felt that the loot pool had become worse, “I don’t understand, what did they remove that makes the loot pool trash?” Myth chimed in, suggesting that Tfue was likely unhappy with the new shotgun, however, Ninja was quick to shoot down that suggestion claiming that even the base version of the weapon is quite powerful. “Adding the new pump does not make the loot pool rough” he argued. “The grey charge pump does point blank 180.” Ninja even claimed that were some good weapon changes in the new update, adding that the latest burst gun changes were “a direct nerf to controller players”, something that Tfue has been heavily pushing for in recent Fortnite seasons. Ninja explained that Tfue might’ve been a little too early to judge the new season, highlighting that he switched back to Warzone not long after the patch was released. “How are you going to play something for less than an hour and already be like ‘ugh’?” he asked, imitating Tfue’s reaction to the latest season. Despite Tfue’s early criticism of the changes, it seems as if he is now enjoying the battle royale title, posting a day later that the new Fortnite season is actually “fun” for him. Although the pair have been quite vocal about one another in the past, Tfue has not yet responded to Ninja’s take on his criticism. You can check out the latest weapon changes for yourself, along with many of the other changes that were recently added to Fortnite, in the Season 3 patch notes guide.

  • Ninja explains why he’s staying on Fortnite while everyone’s playing Minecraft – Dexerto

Ninja explains why he’s staying on Fortnite while everyone’s playing Minecraft Ninja – Mixer / MicrosoftWith many top streamers recently featuring Minecraft more on their content channels, Mixer superstar Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins has given insight as to why he’s sticking to Fortnite Battle Royale. When one thinks of Fortnite, some of the biggest names in livestreaming come to mind, as the popular battle royale has dominated viewership charts on Twitch for nearly the past two years. However, several of those same streamers have recently found a reborn interest in Minecraft, the age-old classic that will seemingly never really fade away. In light of this, Ninja has been faced with a lot of fans and interested viewers asking him to try out Minecraft for himself on stream, but the Mixer star hasn’t given into that temptation yet. Read More: Tfue ruins NickEh30’s family-friendly stream – As for why that’s been the case, he gave a brief explanation in response to a donation from a viewer who said he missed watching him play Fortnite with the likes of DrLupo. “I miss the days when my friends played Fortnite,” he said, tongue in cheek. “Now they’re all playing Minecraft and Overwatch. ‘Everyone’s playing Minecraft now.’ He then went on to hint that he may too soon join them, although also offering a reason for why he might end up sticking to Fortnite. “I’ll probably start playing Minecraft soon too,” he said. “I mean, at this point, I’d just be silly not to. However, I don’t know. Because that last YouTube video with the squad fills did really well.” “So if I start making dedicated content to YouTube after I get off stream, I feel like my YouTube channel will see a growth in views again, and I like my views. I’ll be your light in shining Fortnite. While everyone is else is building blocks and dying to creepers.” Video starts at 0:37 mark for mobile users. Now that we know where Ninja stands on possibly streaming Minecraft, it’s also worth gauging how his fanbase feels about the potential change in his schedule. His wife, Jessica Blevins, recently put out a poll on Twitter in order to see how many of their followers would actually want to watch him stream Minecraft, and the results were pretty telling. 67% of the 183,000+ who voted said they would want to watch the former Halo-pro stream Minecraft, a very convincing statistic that can end up making the difference.

Ninja explains why Season 2 is making Fortnite less popular Mixer: Ninja/Epic GamesStreaming superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained that he “feels bad” for Fortnite players who have decided to return to the battle royale with the start of Chapter Two, Season Two, with Epic Games making it “difficult” to learn again. The start of Fortnite Chapter 2 gave fans the longest season in the history of the battle royale – with players finding other games to play after complaints about a lack of new content. With the start of Chapter Two, Season Two, that request for new content seemed to be fulfilled as Epic Games added a Top Secret theme to the game, as well as a whole host of new locations and NPCs. Though, as players have been returning to the battle royale to see what they’ve missed, not all of them have gotten up to speed with it just yet. One of those players is Jordan Fisher, who had been playing with Ninja on March 27, as the former Halo pro tried to show the singer the ropes of the new season. Dropping repeatedly at The Agency – which has been dubbed the new Tilted Towers – the pair were taken down by a number of players inside, leading to growing frustrations. As a result, Ninja explained that he feels bad for people like Fisher who have returned to the major changes after walking away from the game for some time. “You know what’s crazy, this is actually making me kind of feel bad for players who are trying to return, like how difficult it is to actually learn the complicated areas,” he said, noting that is duo partner is a “good gamer,” but still struggles with getting to grips with season two. Fisher himself even admitted that Epic “make it tough for people to come back” to the game, though that wouldn’t deter him from playing a session of games alongside the Mixer streaming star. Whether or not other Fortnite players share the same sentiments as the pair remains to be seen but, the challenges that season two has presented has prompted fans to try out alternatives like Call of Duty: Warzone – which Ninja himself has been playing.

  • Ninja explains why people should stop complaining about Fortnite Battle Royale’s new Burst SMG – Dexerto

Ninja explains why people should stop complaining about Fortnite Battle Royale’s new Burst SMG Twitch: Ninja / Epic GamesPopular Fortnite Battle Royale streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has revealed why he thinks people should stop complaining about the Burst SMG, stating that he believes it will change how the game is played. The Burst SMG was added to the game in the v9.10 Content Update on Wednesday, May 30, with some fans claiming that it wasn’t powerful enough, or that the burst-fire nature of the weapon made it less useful than the Suppressed Submachine Gun, which was vaulted on the same day. Ninja disagrees with the complaints though, and showed why he thinks it will become one of the most useful weapons in the game during his stream. While playing following the release of the patch, Ninja found himself in a build battle with an enemy player. The Twitch sensation quickly pulled out a Burst SMG and used it’s four round burst to blast down the opposition’s wall, with the remaining bullets from his secord burst eliminating the player “That is what the gun is good for, by the way,” Ninja told his audience. “That bleed through.” “Apparently some people are upset about this gun being in the game, I think [the Burst SMG] is going to change the meta of the game hard, already. It bleeds through, the damage, the bullets will push through someone’s wall.” With the weapon newly-introduced to Fortnite Battle Royale, players are still getting to grips with it and figuring out the best way to use it, and Ninja feels like he has already discovered its best purpose. Whether others agree with him remains to be seen, but it will be interesting to see how Ninja and other top players utilize the weapon when they attempt to secure a spot in the Fortnite World Cup this weekend.

  • Ninja explains why original map should return to ‘boring’ Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja explains why original map should return to ‘boring’ Fortnite Epic Games/Mixer: NinjaMixer and Fortnite star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained why Epic Games should re-add the original Fortnite map to Chapter 2, as the 28-year-old grew frustrated with the game that launched him into stardom. Upon its release back in October of 2019, many Fortnite fans heralded Chapter 2 as the savior of a game that was growing stale amid a number of poor development decisions. A great example was the hated MECHs, which drove a large portion of the community away in Season 10. However, despite the initial praise, some argued that Season 1 of Fortnite’s second chapter went on for too long, and did not do enough to keep the game fresh. Despite long being an advocate of Epic’s decision making, it appears Ninja is becoming frustrated with the game that saw him become Twitch’s most-followed streamer. Since the March 10 release of Call of Duty: Warzone, Ninja has been splitting his time between Activision’s brand new battle royale and Epic Games infamous Fortnite. However, on March 26, Blevins grew frustrated with the building BR, and proceeded to explain some of his frustrations. “I’m on 50 f**king ping,” he raged. “I wanna move to CoD right now. Man that’s just not fun. I dunno what it is. Somehow the game [Fortnite] is getting laggier. I’m on East Coast servers dude and I can’t place walls.” He then went on to explain that he wants to play Fortnite, but he is not finding the game enjoyable “in its current state”. He highlighted the game’s solos mode as particularly frustrating in its current build. In a second clip, both he and SypherPK criticized the game for its lack of tangibly new content. Ninja explained that what initially drew players to Fortnite was the regular addition of new content, but this is something that has dried up of late. “I’ve come to the conclusion bro,” Ninja continued. “We need to bring the old map back.” Despite these statements, he conceded that the likelihood Epic will simply abandon their new map is very low. Ninja summarized his feelings: “I’m bored because there’s nothing new. They added the agency, everything was so fun… now, everyone knows where they wanna land. 75% of the lobby is dead in the first four minutes and there’s nothing new.” Fortnite’s original map remained in the game for all ten seasons of its first chapter, despite changing significantly in seasonal updates. Both streamers agreed that the return of the original map, using only fan-favorite POIs from Fortnite’s first chapter, would breathe some new life into the game. Only time will tell what decisions Epic take to keep fans engaged.

  • Ninja explains why new Mythic gun is a “problem” in Fortnite Season 2 – Dexerto

Ninja explains why new Mythic gun is a “problem” in Fortnite Season 2 Mixer: NinjaTop Fortnite streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins’ first experience of Chapter 2, Season 2, was dominated by the addition of new Mythic weapons, including the Drum Gun and Minigun. These new weapons have been added to tie in with the Ghost and Shadow team lore, but Mythic weapons, such as the infamous Infinity Blade, have been grossly overpowered in the past. For Season 2, Epic Games has thrown caution to the wind with a new and improved Drum Gun and Mythic Minigun, both now deadly weapons. When Ninja found the Brutus Minigun, it was instantly added to his arsenal on day one of the update, and was shocked to discover how deadly accurate and powerful it was. Read More: How to get Deadpool skin Fortnite Season 2 – After wiping out one opponent, he made quick work of another, tearing down their build and “lasering” their character to win the game. “This gun is a problem!” Ninja exclaimed, “it cools off, but bro it’s a laser! It’s an actual laser.” When asked what it’s accuracy was like, he responded, “very [accurate], when I say laser I mean pin-point. It’s like first-shot accuracy, full spray.” First-shot accuracy is a feature in Fortnite that ensures your first bullet will go precisely where the crosshair is centered. Subsequent shots are meant to be less accurate due to recoil and spray, but Ninja thinks this weapon retains it’s first shot accuracy even when “full spray.” Ninja shocked by “disgusting” Drum Gun The Minigun is not the only new Mythic weapon added for Season 2 though, as the divisive Drum Gun has also made its return, now in all gold. Ninja has previously had is problems with older versions of the Drum Gun too. Ninja was equally shocked that it was so strong too, even apologizing to one opponent after taking them out, saying “I’m so sorry this gun exists.” The new Drum Gun has been given an increased fire rate, and it’s still as deadly as ever against builds, particularly because of the reduced need to reload so often. Read More: Every Fortnite Season 2 map change revealed – The same can be said about the minigun too, which just churns out round after round, with incredible accuracy, as Ninja noted. Whether these weapons see nerfs, or perhaps get vaulted altogether remains to be seen. But, Epic has seemingly been more reluctant to nerf or remove weapons or items, even when some in the community believe them to be overpowered.

  • Ninja explains why Fortnite Season 11 needs more than a new map – Dexerto

Ninja explains why Fortnite Season 11 needs more than a new map Ryan Hadji – Red Bull Content Pool/ZENOFYMEDIAStreaming superstar Tyler ‘Fortnite’s upcoming Season 11 following the major Chapter 2 leak. Fortnite fans were left shocked on October 11 when Apple’s official Italian App Store revealed a surprise listing for Fortnite Chapter 2. While some fans immediately assumed it was fake, one fan was able to record a video confirming its legitimacy. The listing has sparked tons of theories about what is coming in Season 11, including a possible new map, and new mechanics – with content creators and leakers digging up any information they can get their hands on. Ninja has never been one to shy away from voicing his opinions on Fortnite. That has been no different with Ninja as he revealed his thoughts about the upcoming season during his stream alongside popular professional player Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore. “Season 11 is going to be a brand new map, and here’s the thing, we might get used to it really quickly,” Ninja stated. “What I mean by that is like, Fnatic MOTOR was like ‘Hey guys, I’m real excited, it’s gonna be great’ and I was like, it’s very important to realize that it took a really long time for everyone to get used to the original map of Fortnite and all the additions were so crazy.” Yet, the streaming star continued on, noting how players were not only learning the landscape, but also the key mechanics and how a mechanic change could restart the clock on what everyone knows about the battle royale. However, Ninja wasn’t finished there, as he reiterated his point and noted that he won’t be upset if there is a huge overhaul in the gameplay just lurking around the corner. “So, I kind of almost want Epic to really some new stuff – maybe, like a new mechanic that really is like going to mix things up,” he added. “I would not be angry if they changed a lot of the game, that’s all. While the majority of players are in the dark about what’s to come in the next update, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Ninja has had an early look at things and could be dropping some hints at a huge overhaul. Either way, it won’t be long before everyone else knows what’s in store as Fortnite Season 10 comes to a close with the in-game finale on Sunday, October 13.

  • Ninja explains why he’s not having fun in Fortnite at the moment – Dexerto

Ninja explains why he’s not having fun in Fortnite at the moment Streaming superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has hit out at how “buggy” Fortnite has become, saying that he’s struggling to have fun playing the battle royale while battling a number of bizarre glitches. While he may have started his competitive career in Halo and gained popularity on Twitch for playing H1Z1 and PUBG, it is Fortnite that Ninja has become synonymous with – propelling him into the mainstream and onto unrivaled success compared to his peers. However, with the game becoming a bit more bare-bones with the arrival of Chapter 2 – as well as picking up a few more bugs and glitches along the way – he’s vented his frustrations with the current state of the game and lack of updates. During his January 6 stream, Ninja had been playing alongside TimTheTatman when he ran into a number of bugs during his early game looting. “Bro! Why is my game freezing?” he screamed out. “Dude, I’m freaking out right now – Fortnite is falling apart. Devs have gone, they haven’t updated their game once, apparently, the game just deteriorates when there aren’t updates.” As the problems continued though, the streamer called upon Epic to make some changes. “Bro, I’m getting game lag, freezes dude, getting FPS drops all the time now, like come home (Epic), update the game – or send half your guys back,” he added. However, it wasn’t long before he ran into further issues. As the pair competed in a crowded late-game zone, Ninja lost his mind with how crowded it actually was when they were eliminated. “I’m not having fun, I’m not having fun,” he added as he left the game before Tim attempted to lift the mood with a few jokes. Yet, that didn’t work, leaving Ninja to make a further request to Epic. “Lot of fun man, add mobility to this game please.” However, any hopes of seeing Ninja join his pals in Escape of Tarkov instead of playing of Fortnite were also dashed. “There’s a negative percent chance I try that trash game,” he said following Tim’s recommendation, before roasting its pacing. What Ninja will do next, though, very much remains to be seen seeing as it’s unknown when Epic will drop their next update and address the growing issues.

  • Ninja explains why he’s actually loving Fortnite Season 2 – Dexerto

Ninja explains why he’s actually loving Fortnite Season 2 Ninja / Epic GamesMixer star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained why he’s actually really enjoying Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 2, saying it “feels like old times.” Throughout recent updates, many content creators have turned away from Epic Games’ battle royale hit as they stop having as much fun on it, and even Ninja himself has been guilty of complaining about certain aspects of the game. Fans of the streamer won’t have heard too many moments of frustration about the game during Season 2 though, and now the Fortnite star has explained why it’s going so well and what is making the update that much better than the game has been in past seasons. In a tweet posted on February 25, Ninja expressed the feeling that Fortnite now “feels like old times,” a reference to the earlier days of Fortnite when it was really booming. He says that increased launch pads and spray weapons makes games and fights faster, while comparing the agency area to Tilted Towers – an area of the previous map that players are now sorely missing. He also singles out the battle pass, which he claims is “one of the best in a long time.” As a content creator, all of the above must make Season 2 feel like a blessing to Ninja, for whom things like quicker mobility, faster fights, and a great battle pass make for a neverending stream of high-octane content to enjoy. Fortnite is starting to feel like old times again – increased lunch pads and more spray weapons so quicker mobility and faster fights. – the agency area feels just like tilted towers and early game fights are a blast. – this battle pass is also one of the best in a long time❤️— Ninja (@Ninja) February 25, 2020 The comments were filled with mixed responses, with some followers saying that it feels fresh once more while others actually disagree entirely, thinking the “spray meta” – something Ninja has mentioned isn’t great – is too much and asking Epic to remove some of the spray weapons. The increased number of launch pads especially is of significant importance, as a feature fans have been calling to have back for months since mobility was severely reduced in the game. Whether it brings back previous Fortnite players as they seek to relive some of the nostalgia of yesteryear remains to be seen, but Ninja makes a good case for why this could be one of the most fun seasons we’ve seen in a while.

  • Ninja explains why he’d never get away with Tfue’s FNCS controversy – Dexerto

Ninja explains why he’d never get away with Tfue’s FNCS controversy Popular streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained how the Fortnite community wouldn’t not get away with an explosive meltdown like Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney’s during the fourth week of the FNCS squads event. Tfue and his squad exploded on November 24 when opposing teams in the tournament appeared at their usual landing spot, eventually leading to the team rage quitting the tournament altogether, hurling insults at each other on social media, and even claims from pro player BlastaMastaa that the 21-year-old was “witch-hunting” him. Unsurprisingly, Fortnite rival Ninja watched the explosive aftermath of the incident and explained that if he were to do something similar, he believes the reaction would be huge, and extremely critical of him. While playing with long-time duo Malachi ‘Reverse2k’ Grenier, the pair discussed Tfue’s rage, and how the community responds to him compared to the former FaZe Clan star. “I don’t think there’s any better content than Turner’s team getting landed on and then complaining,” the Mixer streamer explained. “Dude, it was nuts. If I talked to my teammates the way Turner talks to his, there would be Reddit threads roasting me, I’d be the most hated player on the planet. YouTube videos, clickbaits.” “Everyone just expects you to be the guy,” agreed Reverse2k. “Like the role model. I guess I know why, you’re the biggest of them all. Tfue’s always had that savage side.” Clip begins at 5:20 for mobile users. While many remain surprised by Tfue’s outburst about another team landing at their spot, it isn’t the first time pro players have called out opponents for this, with TSM’s ZexRow calling out Aimhero_o for the same thing at ESL Katowice Royale back in March. Whether this will discourage teams from heading to Steamy Stacks for fear of public rebuttal from Tfue remains to be seen, however, Ninja believes it’s not something that he himself would be able to get away with.

  • Ninja explains why he won’t join Fortnite pros on controller – Dexerto

Ninja explains why he won’t join Fortnite pros on controller Mixer giant Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has responded to news that a number of Fortnite PC professionals’ have switched over to controller, and explained why he won’t be following suit. The PC vs Console debate is showing no signs of slowing down, with more and more prominent gamers weighing in. Former Overwatch pro Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel said esports that allow cross-platform play can be “anti competitive.” Similarly, Fortnite World Cup Champion Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giesdorf has recently expressed his shock at how strong he found controller aim assist. Now, Ninja has weighed in with his thoughts on the situation, particularly in relation to Epic Games’ battle royale. Going against the grain, Ninja has explained that he won’t be making the switch, despite his roots being in competitive Halo, a game that he exclusively played on Xbox. “’When are you turning into a controller scrimmer?’” read Ninja, before responding: “Never. I can’t hold them anymore. I grip the controller way too tight.” He then comments that he watched Myth try out a controller, in which the TSM streamer said aim assist was “so crazy” and that it’s “way easier” to aim with thumbs, as opposed to a mouse and keyboard. “It might get to the point where they [Epic Games] are gonna have to nerf controller on PC,” said Blevins. “If everyone’s switching over to controller, that’s a huge sign that controller is a little broken. I reckon there might be a nerf coming, probably in the next month or two.” Ninja does not necessarily think that console players are at an advantage, but playing with a controller via a PC could be too strong. He explains that the improved frame rate on PC means controllers play more smoothly, and it’s here where the benefit of aim assist is too strong. “If you are playing on the Xbox or Playstation you are literally capped at 60 frames [per second],” Ninja finished. “It is going to be incredibly difficult. Controller is absolutely horrible to play on Xbox or Playstation, compared to PC… it’s night and day difference.” Ninja’s opinion is a fairly common one, with many mouse and keyboard players lobbying for controller aim assist to be reduced. Whether Epic bow to these demands remains to be seen, but we will keep you updated as the story progresses.

  • Ninja explains why he “understands” CouRage and Myth quitting Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja explains why he “understands” CouRage and Myth quitting Fortnite Epic Games / Twitter: NinjaTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained why he understands big streamers like Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop and Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani wanting to quit Fortnite, saying that he “definitely gets” the desire to branch out. It seems somewhat of a turbulent time for Fortnite streamers and players in general. It’s no secret that interest in the battle royale title has waned throughout Chapter 2, following the longest season in history, but the release of Season 2 doesn’t appear to have been enough to bring some players back. After CouRage posted several tweets on March 1, explaining that he wants to expand his streams to include other games, Ninja spoke about it and says he understands the decision, and also responded to a Myth tweet which implied the TSM streamer wanted to do more variety streams. Ninja was speaking about how hard he practiced during the Fornite Championship Series squad events, saying that he’s not sure where he would be if he hadn’t been grinding so hard and worked so meticulously on his building and editing – adding that if it weren’t for those tournaments, he “doesn’t know if he would be playing Fortnite right now.” The Mixer star then referenced CouRage’s tweets, where he says he has a “fear” of playing other games such as God of War and CS:GO, but that recently he has “really struggled to sign on and play them,” partially blaming skill-based matchmaking. I want to play God of War on stream. I want to play CS:GO on stream. I want to play other games that interest me on stream. But…I’ve realized I actually do have a “fear” of playing other games and having less viewers. — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) March 2, 2020 Blevins said that if he “was still average,” he would “probably be on the same train that CouRage is on right now, going full-blown competitive emo mode,” adding that he “definitely knows what he’s talking about.” Following that up, teammate Malachi ‘Reverse2K’ Greiner referenced Myth’s tweet in which he says he’s “taking a little break from Fortnite.” Hey yall, if variety mythical has been what you’ve been waiting for then you’re in for a treat. I think I’m gonna be taking a little break from Fortnite till they add something interesting into the game to grab my attention again. 10pm PST be there. Let’s fucking game. — Myth (@Myth_) March 1, 2020 Ninja went on to say that Myth is so young and he’s so good that he thinks he should “just go all in,” – including TSM teammates Daequan Loco and Darryle ‘Hamlinz’ Hamlin in that sentiment. Hamlinz and Daequan’s absence from Fortnite and streaming as a whole has been much more significant than Myth’s, with the duo regularly taking weeks or even months off at a time, but Myth has stayed much more consistent with his stream schedule. While Fortnite really helped build many streamer’s careers, several of its top names have found plenty to complain about. Fortnite is still one of the most popular games for streamers, but there’s no doubt that it’s starting to lose its appeal and, judging by this, they might end up losing one of the biggest content creators on the planet.

  • Ninja explains why he thinks streamers want Fortnite to “die” – Dexerto

Ninja explains why he thinks streamers want Fortnite to “die” One of the most popular faces in Fortnite, Mixer streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, has a new theory on why he thinks so many streamers are being so critical towards the game, and the reason they want the battle royale to go away. It’s hard to imagine a scenario where Fortnite dies. The game has gone from early access to a cultural phenomenon in just over a couple of years. It’s been a driving force on sites like Twitch and YouTube, creating careers for some players and personalities while catapulting some of them into stardom. One of the Epic Games title’s stars has arguably reached the realm of superstardom in Ninja. The popular streamer signed a bananas deal to stream exclusively with Mixer, and has seen his career rise to levels where he can sign Adidas deals, stream with celebrities, and launch wildly popular merch lines. But Ninja is well aware of the haters that are out there, and has a theory for why so many of those haters are streamers that want Fortnite to burn up after its time in the sun. “This is my new theory,” he said while streaming the battle royale with Reverse2k. “Everyone is trying to now hate on Fortnite, and wishing that the game would die, so that another game could come out, so they can blow up and become famous with a new game.” The 28-year-old then performed a mocking impression of “all the butthurt kids who don’t like Fortnite” complaining about no one watching them. “I’m so good, but no one watches me, so like Fortnite’s dumb! It’s bad! I’m waiting for the new game to come out. When’s the next game gonna come out so that I can stream it and then I can be the biggest!” he mimicked. Despite Ninja’s theory about what young streamers’ opinion about the game is, he also holds on to the belief that Fortnite will never go away. When Reverse2k brought up a hypothetical situation about it ending, Ninja quickly corrected him, saying, “It is not gonna end, I promise you.” The idea of upcoming streamers looking for new games to help “launch their careers” isn’t very far-fetched, as recent big releases are testament to a popular game’s ability to boost streaming stars. More recent titles like Apex Legends and Escape from Tarkov are helping newer streamers reach insane heights, while also bringing in fresh sets of eyes on already established personalities. Fortnite itself has created more stars than just Ninja, and while many of these streamers branch out to play other popular games as well, a lot of them don’t stray too far from the iconic title that helped them accomplish so much. The success of the battle royale hasn’t stopped other games from becoming popular on their own, and thus hasn’t stopped newer streamers from “blowing up” with the success of those titles. If, and this is a big if, Fortnite were to end, it’s hard to imagine any new game completely filling the void it would leave.

  • Ninja explains why he refuses to drop at The Agency in Fortnite – Dexerto

Ninja explains why he refuses to drop at The Agency in Fortnite Epic Games/Mixer: NinjaPopular Mixer streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has revealed an “insane theory” regarding Fortnite Chapter 2’s henchmen, which plays a major part in why he refuses to drop at The Agency. Despite Fortnite’s incredible popularity and the extent to which it aided Ninja’s streaming dominance, the 28-year-old has never shied away from making his opinions heard about the game, while also criticizing those who repeatedly slam the game while continuing to play it. Among other things, he has taken issue with how fast lobbies empty in the game’s current build, as well as arguing that the game’s new map should be replaced with the original map. While he continues to play the game, he appears to be growing frustrated with a lack of innovation on Epic’s behalf, who have become known for regular content drops and fresh updates. AI has been used by Fortnite to fill lobbies for some time now, a move that has proved controversial. This was extended to ‘henchmen’ in Chapter 2, AI bots who patrol specific areas of the map, including the infamous Agency. After trying to escape via a bin tunnel, Ninja was promptly killed by a henchman who hit multiple consecutive shots. However, the henchman then missed multiple shots on a different player, causing Blevins to become frustrated. “And then the henchman just misses every shot on this guy?!” he exclaimed. “I’m gonna say it – insane theory crap now – the henchmen are programmed differently, at a different level of aim assist strength on different players in the game.” “Dude, I hop out of the dumpster, this guy sees me, he hits three shots in a row, I’m dead,” he continued. “The guy follows me and the henchmen misses like ten bullets in a row on him.” As a top-level player, Ninja’s theory states that the henchmen have better aim against him than the average player. While unproven and an “insane” theory, Ninja clearly thinks the bots have been more punishing to him than others. “Sypher, we’re never landing Agency again in regulars,” he finished. “Ever. You hear me bro? Ever. Ever. I’m not even kidding. We are never, ever landing near any AI in this game – ever. I’m over it.” He went on to explain that one henchman targeted him from the other side of the building, and killed him while he was being pushed by a different enemy. While Ninja’s theory is certainly outlandish, it would go some way to explain why he struggles to overcome AI opponents, who are then easily outclassed by lower skill players. The move to add AI into normal Fortnite matches was controversial when it first happened and, despite months passing, it doesn’t appear to be gaining favor with this particular Mixer star.

  • Ninja explains why he misses the original Fortnite map – Dexerto

Ninja explains why he misses the original Fortnite map Epic GamesAs Fortnite players have their eyes set towards Chapter 2’s second season, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins explains why he still misses the original map. Season 2 begins on February 20, and it will presumably continue to build off the new map that was introduced with Chapter 2. However, many longtime players hold the original Fortnite map close to their hearts. This is the case in many games, as we see the same thing in Apex Legends with Kings Canyon. Ninja was one of the first major streamers to make the jump over to Fortnite when it first released, so he has a lot of fond memories of the game. Before the launch of the new season, the streamer took viewers back to the beginning and explained what he liked so much about the previous map. “I think there’s so many beautiful things about the first map that a lot of you want back,” he said, before singling out Tilted Towers. “I mean, like Tilted. Tilted, all the buildings, just everything from first entire chapter, man. I miss so much of it.” When Fortnite first released its battle royale mode, Tilted didn’t even exist, but was instead added as a location in Season 3. After talking about the events Epic put on, like the crossovers with Borderlands and Batman, Ninja explained it was “so jarring” to be given a basic map again. (Quotes begin at 0:13) “We kind of forget all of the beautiful things that happened in the first map, like dude, like the cube,” he said. The cube is, of course, in reference to the giant block, lovingly nicknamed Kevin, that made its way across the map over the course of several seasons. In Chapter 2, Kevin lives on in Steamy Stacks as a power source called Kevolution Energy. With all this said, the beginning of a new season is always an exciting time in Fortnite, so we’ll have to wait and see what the developers have up their sleeves. Perhaps they’ll be able to get players to become as fond as the new map as they are the old one.

  • Ninja explains why he doesn’t play Fortnite competitively in Season 2 – Dexerto

Ninja explains why he doesn’t play Fortnite competitively in Season 2 Mixer: Ninja/Epic GamesStreaming superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained why he’s been veering away from competitive games in Fortnite season 2, blaming a few problems that still exist within the battle royale. Despite having a pretty vast pool of professional players, the competitive scene in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 has really kicked off like previous seasons. Professionals like Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf can still be seen practicing and getting ready for action, but that can’t be said for everyone. Despite praising the new season and its content, Ninja still has a few issues with the game itself – noting that these bugs can be pretty detrimental to competitive matches. During his March 8 stream, Blevins had to play some duo games with fellow streamer SypherPK when the pair were taken down inside The Agency and blamed an issue with trying to build. “They’re the worst. That’s why I’m not playing in the scrims anymore, my whole chat is like ‘the scrims are so beneficial’ but they’re really not,” the streaming star said after complaining about the current state in which Fortnite performs. “I get like maybe fighting towns and players off spawn when there’s not that much lag, yeah, that’s fine – like rotating, alright, I get it. But after the rotation, after that man, you’re getting shot through walls, builds aren’t placing, players are teleporting,” he added, noting that players had been “skipping and sliding” through the last scrim he played in and how it wasn’t really too fun to play. The former Halo professional also claimed that pros had been “stressing” to compete in the new season but he wasn’t sure why, seeing as Epic hasn’t made a move to launch competitive play like they did with the FNCS and Fortnite World Cup. Whether or not those events will come further down the line, however, remains to be seen as there haven’t been any hints just yet.

  • Ninja explains why Fortnite’s Legendary Assault Rifle is “trash” – Dexerto

Ninja explains why Fortnite’s Legendary Assault Rifle is “trash” Mixer: Ninja / Epic GamesMixer streamer and Fortnite star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained why he thinks Fortnite’s Legendary Assault Rifle is “trash” after a tough death during a duo match. Ninja has often been seen as one of the more lighthearted and family-friendly streamers in recent years, but his rage after being eliminated in a match on the battle royale title triggered a particularly angry response from the former Halo professional. While running into the storm, Ninja ended up in a medium-range gunfight with another player using an SMG and got melted by the player on low-ground, hitting only one shot from his Scar in the gunfight. Immediately, Ninja was furious, in disbelief that he had been killed in such a way and vented his frustrations to SypherPK. “Bro, I hate the SMG so much,” he said. “The Scar is so bad, man. The guy’s like 10 meters away from me, I’m looking straight down at him, I hit one bullet. He looks up with an SMG and just hits every shot.” It seems at first that Ninja’s frustrations are with the power of the SMG, and not the Scar itself, exclaiming that he was AR distance while his opponent wasn’t, clearly not happy that he was killed from that distance. (Timestamp 00:26 for mobile viewers) After sitting in silence for a while, evidently annoyed at what had happened, he said “I’m just going to say it… I don’t care. The Scar is trash.” “I’ll take an AUG any day,” he said, referencing the Epic and Legendary variations of the Burst Assault Rifle. “You know what, give me a blue Famas. I’ll say it. I’ll say what people are afraid to say.” Teammate Sypher agreed with him, though with a more calm demeanor about him. He said that he thinks the assault rifle gunplay is not very satisfying, explaining that, conversely, he thinks the shotgun’s and SMG’s are satisfying to use. It could be a bit of a stretch to call the Legendary Assault Rifle “trash,” but you can certainly see why Ninja is upset. In the gunfight he lost, he definitely seemed to have the upper hand in all ways, but appeared to be let down by the bloom of his gun. He went on to say that he’ll be upgrading his Scar to an AK (Heavy Assault Rifle) wherever possible going forward, saying that it’s a much more satisfying weapon to use.

  • Ninja explains why Fortnite’s explosive buff wasn’t all bad – Dexerto

Ninja explains why Fortnite’s explosive buff wasn’t all bad Ninja / TwitterEpic Games’ decision to revert the changes made to explosives in Fortnite Battle Royale might be one of the most popular that they’ve ever made, but some players saw an upside to the buff. The update to explosives allowed 25% of explosive damage to ‘penetrate through structures and the environment’ and it received a large amount of criticism from the Fortnite community, particularly professional players. Clips, Reddit posts and Twitter rants about the buff took over the internet soon after the v6.21 patch went live, and Epic Games eventually announced that they would be releasing a hotfix to revert it entirely. However, Ninja played devil’s advocate during a Twitch stream after the buff originally went live, saying: “How annoying is it when somebody is just sitting there in a one-by-one? Literally in a one-by-one only.” Ninja clearly believed that the changes to explosives would stop players from ‘turtling up’ as often and that it would reward more skillful players: “The only time a good player turtles up like that is when he’s been sniped or when you’ve got a bunch of damage on him. “So it’s like, now that actually just applies that pressure for them to actually, you know, do something.” While the Ninja’s opinion might not have fallen in line with the general consensus of the community, it seems likely that Epic Games were thinking along the same lines when they put the buff into effect. Fortnite’s developers may have decided to revert the changes entirely as a result of the community’s feedback, but Ninja’s statements make it clear the end goal of reducing the ‘hide in a one-by-one’ meta is one that should be pursued.

  • Ninja explains why Fortnite’s next update needs to be “craziest” ever – Dexerto

Ninja explains why Fortnite’s next update needs to be “craziest” ever Mixer: Ninja/Epic GamesStreaming star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained why Epic Games might need something pretty crazy for the next season of Fortnite to keep casual players around. Even though Epic Games launched Fortnite Chapter 2 to much hype back in October of 2019, the battle royale hasn’t seen the same amount of continuous updates that it has in the past. While plenty of players are still hopping into the battle bus and diving into matches, Ninja and a few other content creators have aired their concerns about why the second season of Fortnite Chapter 2 needs to have special about it to keep the more casual fans playing. During his January 23 stream, the Fortnite star dove into the fact that the current season has lasted for around 100 days – one of the longest in the game’s history – even though it hasn’t been flooded with new updates to the map, loot pool, or even mechanics. “There’s only one thing that makes sense for the incredible lack of content being added and weapons and… I don’t want to say incredible, but, I think this next season, it’s got to be the craziest thing ever – it’s got to be,” Ninja said. “It’s got to be the nuttiest game update that they’ve ever come up with. Like, some sort of game-breaking mechanic or something that they’re going to add that’s going to change the entire feel of the game. Allegedly, it’s what, being pushed back another 17 days. That’s a long-ass time. That’s a long time.” After a further discussion with his teammates about how long the season has lasted compared to the content that has been introduced, Ninja explained what sort of questions the community will be asking if Epic doesn’t drop an overhaul of sorts. “If this season isn’t like all-changing, then what the hell did they just do for 100 days?” said Ninja. “We’re content creators and almost everyone here is competitive so we have a lot of reasons to play this game, even when the season hype dies down, but a lot of casuals don’t.” The Mixer streamer continued on: “They’re not stupid. Epic has probably the most information on their players than any game out there – they know they need change and they need updates, weapons, and all these crazy mechanics to keep people interested – they’re well aware of that.” The new season of Fortnite Chapter 2 has, apparently, already been delayed by the developers for a further two weeks – meaning that it won’t start until February 20. Just what they have up their sleeves though remains to be seen, but players like Ninja are clearly hoping that it’s going to be something special.

  • Ninja explains why Fortnite needs to add “more mobility” in Chapter 2 – Dexerto

Ninja explains why Fortnite needs to add “more mobility” in Chapter 2 Mixer superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has doubled-down on his call for “more mobility” in Fortnite, suggesting Chapter 2’s huge map and the “incredible” zone pulls that come with it could be fixed with new movement options. This isn’t the first time Ninja has made a request for Epic in 2020 either. Last week, the Mixer star admitted he’s “not having fun” with the Fortnite, and said if the host of bugs and glitches weren’t fixed the game would struggle. Now he’s taken aim at another element key to the battle royale’s gameplay — the storm, and the ring that closes in around players as matches reach their finale. According to Ninja, there are a few problems that are compounding into each other to create a difficult situation with the title right now: mainly, the new map is just far too big, meaning players are struggling to reach the ring. Added to that, Epic’s removal of items like the divisive Baller and the BRUTE mechs, while good for the competitive integrity of the game, has left the mobility options lacking. This only got worse when the launch pads were vaulted too. All of this combines to create brutal slogs from one side of the map to the other, just to make sure you don’t get caught in the storm, and Ninja thinks it’s a “little stupid” to have so much of the game based around escaping a game element. “With the least amount of mobility Fortnite has ever had, and an even bigger map, the incredible zone pulls to one side of the map ten times in a row is a little stupid,” Ninja said. “More mobility needs to be added, or less dramatic zone pulls.” With the least amount of mobility that Fortnite has ever had, and an even bigger map than season 1, the incredible zone pulls to one side of the map 10 times in a row is a little stupid. More mobility needs to be added, or less dramatic zone pulls. — Ninja (@Ninja) January 12, 2020 Ironically, this wasn’t the tune the Mixer star took towards the end of 2019. He and Twitch star Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan agreed the game was “so good” in Chapter 2, and that Epic had done “such a good job” with their latest updates. At the time, Ninja also added the game “doesn’t need launch pads, it doesn’t need mobility,” when asked by a fan if he missed those elements of the game. His theory was Epic were “taking their time” with the development in the second chapter, after they “reset the game entirely” with ‘The End.’ In his eyes, it wasn’t such a bad thing considering “how crazy it was” at the end of Chapter 1. Now it seems like maybe he’s changed his tune on the slow pace Epic is taking in 2020, potentially after the Mixer star got caught in one too many storms. Whether or not he doubles-down on his new thoughts, or goes back to preaching patience, Ninja isn’t the only content creator fed up — YouTuber Lannan ‘Lazarbeam’ Eacott revealed he’s going to play less Fortnite this year, while Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has notoriously taken swipes at the title whenever he can.

  • Ninja explains why Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 could be “average” – Dexerto

Ninja explains why Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 could be “average” Mixer: Ninja/Epic GamesStreaming superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained why he thinks Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 might not be what fans are expecting after playing for a few days on the new engine, following the V11.50 update. The launch of Fortnite Chapter 2 and a brand new map gave fans of the battle royale plenty of excitement that there would plenty of things in store. However, things haven’t gone quite to plan. The longest season in the game’s history hasn’t been as full of content as fans would have liked – despite Epic Games switching to a new engine and sparking hope from players like Ninja, especially as he said he believed there would be big things in store. During his February 8 stream, the popular Fortnite player dove into his feelings regarding the all-new game engine – and what it could mean for the new season. Despite his early high hopes, Ninja played down his expectations. “After them releasing the engine, the engine is out and we’re playing on it, I think the season is going to be pretty average – and by average, I mean I don’t think it’s going to be as godly and god-tier as people think it needs to be now,” Ninja said. The streamer noted that he had “no idea” what Epic’s game plan is regarding the new season, as it feels like they have “deprived” players in regards to what they’ve been used to in the past with constant updates and changes. “It’s like, I don’t know what’s going, I don’t know what they’re going to do,” he added. After a few moments, he expanded on what he was thinking. He explained why he doesn’t believe the end of the first season will lead to any huge changes as Epic hasn’t really played into a storyline as they have in the past. “With the information we’re given now, I don’t see anything crazy happening – I don’t see any crazy map changes,” Ninja added. “Epic has never just changed and blown up a map for like one season this early on. It’s usually throughout the entire season something is happening that leads to a huge map change.” However, the Mixer star concluded by saying that he believes in Epic to have something up their sleeve, though he accepts that it could be the final straw for some players – even if he thinks the game will never really struggle. “Now, it is up to them to prove that they know what they’re doing,” added Ninja. “This new season is going to be really huge man. I feel like they’ve put themselves in a position where if this does not do well, or if it isn’t like incredible, it’s like the last straw thing.” Of course, it is difficult to say what Epic might have in store for the new season, so it remains to be seen as to what is coming next. However, Ninja and his fellow players won’t have long to wait, as Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 is set to finally launch on February 20.

  • Ninja explains why streamers boycotting Fortnite over BRUTE mechs won’t work – Dexerto

Ninja explains why streamers boycotting Fortnite over BRUTE mechs won’t work Epic Games / Mixer: NinjaSome of Fortnite’s most popular streamers are publicly ‘boycotting’ the game due to the controversial BRUTE mechs, in the hope that Epic Games either remove or significantly nerf them, but Ninja is unconvinced it will work on the ever-stubborn devs. BRUTE mechs were added at the start of Season 10, and it didn’t take long for players to realize how insanely powerful they were. Streamers and professional players quickly grew tired of being blasted out of their builds by the mech’s unstoppable rockets, and with so few counters the mechs have become almost a guaranteed win for the player using it. So some of these streamers, namely Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Ben ‘DrLupo‘ Lupo, decided to drop the game entirely and play rival BR PUBG for the time being, waiting out the mech’s removal. They’re still waiting however, and Ninja thinks they could be waiting a long-time, arguing that even if he, DrLupo, TimTheTatman and former FaZe pro Dennis ‘Cloak‘ Lepore all stopped playing Fortnite completely, Epic wouldn’t change their plans. “I guarantee, if all four of us stopped playing this game, and start playing like PUBG or Realm Royale, they still wouldn’t remove the mechs,” Ninja concluded. Lupo and Ninja have in fact boycotted Fortnite – opting for mostly PUBG, although TimTheTatman has returned to Epic Games’ mech-filled battle royale. The developers did make a small nerf to mech’s spawn rate in competitive modes, but have generally done little to appease the complaining player base, who are unhappy with their existence at all. Ninja and co aren’t the only ones to make their voices heard either – World Cup winner Kyle ‘Bugha‘ Giersdorf and top Twitch streamer Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney have both made it very clear that they want Epic to remove the BRUTEs. The v10.10 update for Fortnite was set to release on Tuesday, August 13, but has been pushed back as Epic investigate issues – players are hoping that the mech will addressed in a big way with this update.

  • Ninja explains why Epic stopped releasing Fortnite Chapter 2 patch notes – Dexerto

Ninja explains why Epic stopped releasing Fortnite Chapter 2 patch notes Superstar streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has an interesting theory for why Epic Games have stopped releasing patch notes for their weekly updates in Fortnite Chapter 2. As weeks continue to fly by in Season 1 of Fortnite Chapter 2, it’s looking more and more like patch notes have become a thing of the past for developers Epic Games. Although the official Fortnite Trello page has contained some information on bug fixes and things like that, the bigger and more impactful changes have been left for players to figure out for themselves, such as weapon adjustments, new additions, and more. Many have been trying to figure out why patch notes have stopped getting released, one of them being Ninja, who shared his theory during one of his recent streams. The Mixer star believes that at least part of the reason why is because Epic don’t want to frustrate players and stop some from playing purely because of something that they include in the patch notes, which he contends was the case before Chapter 2. “One thing that 100% I guarantee did happen, when all the patch notes were being released back in the day, incredibly in-depth patch notes, is that people saw the patch notes, and if they didn’t like something, they didn’t want to play,” Ninja explained. “‘Oh my god man, what? They nerfed the Pump? I’m not even going to play!’” he mocked. “Well, you don’t know if they nerfed the Pump because there’s no patch notes, so get in there and find out if they did or not. Play the game.” (Video begins at 1:05 mark for mobile users) Why haven’t Epic been releasing patch notes in Fortnite? Whether or not Ninja’s theory is correct, it certainly does make sense, since there’s no doubt that Epic received a lot of negative backlash after every patch notes release, especially during the latter seasons of Chapter 1. Whatever the reason is, Epic have simply decided that it’s best for players to figure out all of the changes on their own, even when it comes to major things like the addition of the Harpoon Gun several weeks ago. That is not to say, however, that this will be a permanent thing in Chapter 2. With Season 2 looming around the corner, only time will tell whether or not Epic will revert to releasing the full details for each weekly update.

  • Ninja explains why Epic is taking Fortnite Chapter 2 “slow and steady” – Dexerto

Ninja explains why Epic is taking Fortnite Chapter 2 “slow and steady” Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained what he believes Epic Games are trying to do by keeping Fortnite Chapter 2 simple at the moment, after FaZe Clan’s Kyle ‘Mongraal‘ Jackson dubbed the popular battle royale “stale.” After the explosion of whacky additions to the game at the end of Fortnite’s tenth season, including the near-globally hated BRUTE mechs, many players have been left disappointed by the slower pace of Chapter 2. For many, the end of the divisive Season X, and the black hole event that sucked Fortnite’s old map — and, for a time, the whole game — out of existence was the reset the title needed. Some, however, are tired of the return to slower releases. One such advocate for a return of the ‘glory days’ of Epic dropping weird and wonderful items, weapons, and events into the game at a whim is Mongraal, who said he was tired of the “stale” state the game has found itself in lately. “The game is so stale right now… I want combat launchpad impulse boogie bombs hoverboards snow biome item that one-shots builds slurp juice chugjug,” the British FNCS star said on December 11. game is so stale rn I want combat launchpad impulse boogie bombs hover boards snow biome item that one shots builds slurp juice chugjug — Mongraal (@Mongraal) December 11, 2019 Ninja, who has often been the voice of reason for many of Fortnite’s issues, to the extent that some have joked that he has a close relationship with the Epic developers, said he agreed with the 15-year-old star, but preached patience. “Slow and steady,” the Mixer superstar said in response to Mongraal’s comment. “The game was so insane at the end of Season X, I think Epic is trying to mimic the way they added items from the first chapter.” Considering Fortnite’s explosion into the global phenomenon that it is today came off the back of a content plan that Epic stuck to in 2017 as they were first expanding the battle royale title, it certainly makes sense that they’d want to return to what worked. That’s not to say Ninja is exactly happy with how content is flowing in the game at the moment either, however, and admitted he was “totally with [Mongraal]” on the fact there hadn’t been much variety added into the battle royale since The End. Slow and steady. The game was so insane at the end of season X, I think epic is trying to mimic the way they added items from the first chapter. But I AM totally with you I want much more variety. — Ninja (@Ninja) December 11, 2019 Mongraal and Ninja both seemed to come to an agreement on what Epic was trying to do — bring back the “simplicity” of the very first seasons of the game back in 2017 — but knew the “slow” pace of the drops just couldn’t last forever. “I definitely think for the most part of this season they want the feel of the simplicity, I hope they start adding some new stuff soon though,” Mongraal replied. This isn’t the first time Ninja has stepped in when someone was complaining about Fortnite either, after he warned Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, who boasts one of the game’s biggest followings, his complaints could be a death knell for the title. “He was getting like 70k viewers and he’s talking about how the game is dogsh*t and it’s dying,” Ninja said during his December 10 stream. “Dude you’re literally pulling in more viewers than anyone, and you’re drilling the game into the ground.” Ninja’s criticism came after Tfue called Fortnite’s most recent patch the “worst update ever,” and threatened to abandon the battle royale grind altogether. Right now, however, it is clear that Epic is taking their time putting together new content patches, and implementing new features to the game, and it’s definitely coming at a slower pace than most Fortnite fans are used to. Whether this will stifle the game’s explosive growth, or help it in the long run, remains to be seen, but for now, it seems it’s worth keeping an eye on what Epic is doing, and giving them one more chance to show off what they bring to the table.

  • Ninja Explains Why Epic Games Would Never Allow Stretch Resolutions in Fortnite Tournaments – Dexerto

Ninja Explains Why Epic Games Would Never Allow Stretch Resolutions in Fortnite Tournaments Top Fortnite streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has explained why he thinks playing on a stretched resolution isn’t the right idea for competitive players, as Epic will never allow it at tournaments. There has been a trend recently of competitive Fortnite players and streamers using a stretched resolution, as it makes character models appear wider and therefore, in theory, easier to target, but many have been reverting back to the default. FaZe Clan pro player and streamer Turner “Tfue” Tenney for example, was one of the most high profile players to use a stretched resolution, but recently made the switch back. TSM’s Ali “Myth” Kabbani similarly used a stretched resolution, but has reverted to 1920×1080, for the upcoming PAX West $1.5 million tournament. 600https://twitter.com/TTfue/status/1031999158998233090 As Ninja explains, using a different resolution from the standard while practicing won’t help when players get to these tournaments, because Epic Games will undoubtedly enforce the standard for broadcast purposes. “All the stretched pros, that are now switching back to native resolution, that’s one of the main reasons I never changed off the default res. Do you honestly think that Epic is going to let you run that disgustingly ugly stretched res on their tournaments and their capture cards? When they are trying to broadcast it to the millions of people who will have no idea why the resolution looks so bad?” The upcoming tournament at PAX West, starting August 31, with qualifiers being played for the first three days of competition, and the final qualifiers will be streamed “across all Fortnite channels”. So Twitch, YouTube, Mixer, Twitter and Facebook will all be broadcasting the matches, and as Ninja explains, Epic Games will want the game looking as good as possible for the millions of viewers that undoubtedly tune in. Using a stretched resolution may be jarring for many casual viewers. It will be only Fortnite’s second developer supported LAN (offline) tournament, following their first outing for the Pro-Am tournament at E3. This time however, anyone can sign up and qualify, not just invited guests and star players. You can find out more about the $1.5 million Fortnite Tournament at PAX West here.
