How to access Polygon Testing Ground chambers in Atomic Heart – Dexerto
How to access Polygon Testing Ground chambers in Atomic Heart MundfishAs well as Atomic Heart’s main story, the game’s side content that will distract you are the Polygon Testing Ground chambers. So let’s show you how to access these tricky but rewarding locations. Like a lot of things in Atomic Heart, the concept of the Polygon Test chambers can be quite ambiguous and can pose a lot of mysteries in the game. What’s inside them? Will whatever it is try to kill you? But most importantly, how do you enter the sacred grounds of these Polygon chambers? They’re not the easiest thing in the world to figure out how to access and the game never makes it explicitly clear, so our Atomic Heart guide should push you in the right direction to opening them. How to access secret Test Chambers in Atomic Heart Accessing Polygon Test Chambers in Atomic Heart will require players to seek out a nearby surveillance system and use a camera to unlock the chamber entrance. CHAR-les and P-3 will talk about how to get inside the first one you come across, but it’s never made explicitly clear how you’re supposed to get inside them. Follow these instructions and you should be golden: Check your map and find big circles marked with Testing Ground. – Now, somewhere in the vicinity of that circle, you will need to locate a tall, thin, white machine stand that you can access. – Typically, they are found at the top of platforms that can be reached with an elevator at the bottom easily identifiable by a golden circular platform. – Not every single one is like this though, but the device you use will always remain the same. – Once you’ve found the device, press the action button to use it. – You will now need to select a camera located near the Chamber entrance. – You’ll know if you have the right one as when you aim the camera at the entrance, a prompt will appear. – Press the matching button and you should be able to see or hear the Polygon entrance door open. – Once you’ve made your way inside it’s all down to you. Puzzles and/or enemies will stand in your way and there will be three different rewards for you to claim. How the Spirit system works in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – Dexerto
How the Spirit system works in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Team NinjaWo Long: Fallen Dynasty uses many different systems in conjunction with one another, and one that stands out is the Spirit mechanic. To fully understand it in Wo Long and how to make the most of it, we’ve whipped up a quick and easy guide for you. Mastering Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty goes far beyond just being abler to conquer its deep deflection and Critical Blow mechanics, you also need to understand other important concepts such as Morale and Spirit. Spirit can both make your life absolute bliss in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, but also equally miserable if you don’t understand how it works. Boss battles will become a chore, and even normal enemies in regular combat will quickly end you in the game. So, to help you fully grasp the intricacies of Wo Long’s Spirit system, let’s quickly run through it with you. What is Spirit in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty? – Spirit attacks in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – How to increase Spirit in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – How to lose Spirit in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – What is Spirit in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty? Spirit essentially determines how aggressive and defensive you can be during a battle scenario. There will be a meter in the middle of the screen that can either fill up left, which will be negative or fill up to the right, which will be positive. Certain attacks and abilities you can use require Spirit, so if your meter is too negative, then you will not only not be able to use them, but you might not be able to deflect incoming attacks either – leaving yourself exposed. But if it’s positive, then you will be able to use a wider variety of attacks, including some far more powerful attacks that can end fights quicker. Spirit attacks in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty If you are able to build up enough Spirit and get the bar looking a healthy positive blue color, then you will be eligible to use a Spirit attack – requiring a press of Triangle on PlayStation or Y on Xbox. Be warned though, it’s not just you who has a Spirit meter, bosses will also possess one. However, if you are able to bring down Spirit attacks on bosses, then this will actually reduce their Spirit gauge, and filling this up is vital as it will allow you to inflict a ton of damage once it is filled. Not only that, but a positive Spirit gauge will also charge up your Martial Arts attacks and make them even more powerful than their regular forms. How to increase Spirit in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Each time you successfully attack an enemy, you will earn positive Spirit, and this is probably the main way you will earn Spirit and positively fill up the meter. Another way to accumulate Spirit is to successfully deflect regular attacks, and you can earn far more for deflecting Critical Blows. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty complements very aggressive playstyles and rewards players who adopt this mentality. The quicker you earn Spirit, the faster and more frequently you can use regular Spirit attacks, Wizardry abilities, and utilize Martial Arts techniques. How to lose Spirit in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Such is the ever-changing dynamic in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, you can lose Spirit as quickly as you can gain it and this will happen if you take damage or use your special attacks and abilities too regularly. The beauty of Wo Long’s combat system is that you have to be able to think on your feet in the middle of an intense battle. If you rely too heavily on Wizardry and Martial Arts to dish out the damage, then you’re going to max out the negative side of your Spirit meter and prevent yourself from being able to withstand enemy attacks. If you’re not able to deflect enemy strikes, or you just stand there with your guard up, then your meter is also going to suffer. The tide of battle can change in a heartbeat, so to avoid losing Spirit, you need to manage your abilities wisely, keep on top of the enemy’s moveset, and make sure you’re the aggressor! Once you nail Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty’s Spirit feature, then you’ll be locked in and ready to fight any battle. If you also want some extra content to check out about the game, we have more below: Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty PC system requirements | Will Wo Long Fallen Dynasty be on Steam Deck? | Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty PC system requirements | Will Wo Long Fallen Dynasty be on Steam Deck? | Does Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty have co-op multiplayer? | How Morale works in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty | How to get Genuine Qi fast in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty | Best Wizardry abilities in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty | Wo Long Fallen Dynasty stats explained: How to plan your best build | Wo Long Fallen Dynasty review | Best weapons in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

How to save $10 on Horizon Forbidden West for PS4 & PS5 – Dexerto
How to save $10 on Horizon Forbidden West for PS4 & PS5 Sony Computer EntertainmentHorizon Forbidden West is one of 2022’s most highly anticipated games, but it turns out you can get it for $10 cheaper than the main $69.99 price tag, if you follow the right steps. As players flock back to Sony’s post-apocalyptic world in the highly anticipated Horizon Forbidden West, all eyes are on Aloy and what the future holds for the now-iconic franchise. While we’ve already seen some leaked gameplay footage of the next chapter in the Horizon saga, some have been dissuaded from buying the title due to the particularly high price point for PlayStation 5 users. Coming in at a whopping $70 for the Standard Edition of the game, it turns out that those who are a little apprehensive to drop wads of cash will be able to get it for $10 cheaper due to a pricing discrepancy on Sony’s website. How to get Horizon Forbidden West $10 cheaper A video from February 16 by Hoeg Law has highlighted that there’s an easy way to get Horizon Forbidden West for $10 cheaper due to a strange price discrepancy, or loophole, on the PlayStation store. First off, when you visit the website you will be greeted with a preorder that appears to show both the PS5/PS4 versions are $69.99. While you can purchase using this link, scroll down until the store separates out into the different editions. Here, you’ll be given the option to buy the PS4 version for $59.99 instead, saving you $10 already if you’re looking to play on that platform. Read More: PS5 exclusives release schedule – Players who purchase the PlayStation 4 version of the game will be charged $59.99 as opposed to $69.99, the PlayStation 5 price point. However, as confirmed by Sony in September 2021, players can upgrade their PS4 version to next gen consoles for free. So, if you buy the Ps4 version and make use of your free PS5 upgrade, you’ll be getting the game for $10 cheaper than the standard PS5 price point. While Hoeg Law criticized Sony’s practices as driven by “duplicity and greed,” at least they have highlighted the fact that there is a way to get the game a little cheaper and, in turn, open up accessibility to more people. The sequal is set to release on February 18, so be sure to check out our breakdown of everything we know about Horizon Forbidden West so far.

How Sabacc works in Star Wars Outlaws: Rules, rewards, cheating with Nix, more – Dexerto
How Sabacc works in Star Wars Outlaws: Rules, rewards, cheating with Nix, more Ubisoft / LucasfilmSabacc has been made real in Star Wars Outlaws. The iconic card game is playable across the galaxy and we’ve got the full rundown on how it all works. From the basic rules to trick cards, here’s what you need to know. Decades after its on-screen introduction, Sabacc has become somewhat of a legendary game in its own right. While countless variations have appeared across the Star Wars library, be it in movies, animated shows, or books, a fully interactive version is now upon us thanks to Star Wars Outlaws. Throughout her travels, Kay Vess is able to familiarize herself with Sabacc, testing her luck against the Underworld’s many quirky characters. Not only is it a fun way to kill time, but by winning more than you lose, there’s a wealth of great rewards up for grabs. So if you’re looking for the full overview of Sabacc in Star Wars Outlaws, we’ve got you covered. Here’s how the card game functions. How to play Sabacc in Star Wars Outlaws: The basics Sabacc in Star Wars Outlaws is unique from any other rendition you may have played in the past, namely the Galaxy’s Edge physical card game. The rules here are simple. Each player starts with two cards in their hand, one red (Blood) and one yellow (Sand). The difference in the value of your two cards is key, with your goal being to reduce this value as much as possible. Cards range from 1-6, with a few special outliers we’ll discuss later. Say, for example, you start with a 5 and a 2, the difference between these cards is 3, so that’s the value of your hand. Each turn, you can spend a Chip to replace a card in your hand with one from a deck on the table. After three turns, the player with the best hand (the lowest difference in card cost) wins the round. Rounds continue until only one player is left with chips at the table. How to play Sabacc in Star Wars Outlaws: Win conditions & taxes Getting into the nitty gritty now, there are several key factors to keep in mind while playing Sabacc in Star Wars Outlaws. The most important thing is the value of any given hand. While a pair of sixes might look good on paper, as the difference between them is zero, and thus, we call it a Sabacc hand, value comes in descending order. By that logic, a pair of ones would outrank that hand, leaving you as the round’s loser. Therefore, it’s always worth trying to prioritize lower numbers. If no player at the table reveals a Sabacc hand (a pair), the round then goes to the player with the lowest hand value overall. Two or more players can be winners in the same round, however, in the event of a tie. Should you win a round of Sabacc, you’ll get your chips back that you invested that round. For instance, if you replaced three cards, you’ll get those three chips back in your pot. Meanwhile, any losing player without a Sabacc hand is taxed an amount equal to the value of their card differential. Your chips are essentially your remaining life, so pick your plays wisely, and don’t over-commit to too many replacements if it can be helped. Sylop & Imposter Cards Alongside the standard cards ranging from 1-6, Sabacc also has two other technical cards in the set. These are the Sylop and Imposter cards. Up first, a Sylop card takes the value of the other card in your hand. There is only one Sylop per family, meaning two overall across both Blood and Sand decks. Next, Imposter takes the value of one of two dice thrown. This gives you a little more control over the odds, letting you pick the dice that suits best. There are three Imposters per family, meaning six overall across both Blood and Sand decks. If you’re lucky and manage to get a Sabacc hand thanks to one of these technical cards, its value is equivalent to a standard Sabacc hand of the same value. For example, if you have a hand with a six and a Sylop, it’s still the least valuable Sabacc hand in the game. If you’re extremely lucky though, managing to get a hand with both Sylops in the entire game, that’s known as a Pure Sabacc, the very best hand in the game. Shift Tokens in Sabacc Also shaking things up in Sabacc are the Shift Tokens. These are powerful modifiers than can shake up the state of any given game. You’re able to sit down at any Sabacc table with three Shift Tokens at the ready, though each can be played just once per game. Some Shift Tokens are able to return a certain number of chips to your pile, while others may force opponents to add more chips to the pot. Regardless, they’re all more than handy when it comes to securing wins. Speaking of which, you can find new Shift Tokens by winning at various tables across the galaxy. Others can be found out in the open world, while some can even be purchased on the black market. Cheating with Nix Of course, it wouldn’t be a card game in the Star Wars underworld without some cheating. Hilariously, at least for us not our opponents, we can use Nix to our advantage when playing Sabacc. Our friendly little companion can be sent to the other side of the table in order to peek at an opponent’s hand. If it works, you gain some valuable knowledge of how they’re tracking for that round, but there is always a chance it fails. Fail to cheat and things will get a little tense. With suspicions raised, fail at cheating once more and you’ll be caught red-handed. Should you push your luck, you’ll be banned from the table and have to wait quite some time before coming back to play again. For now, all we’ve seen is the ability for Nix to cheat. Though through the game’s UI, we can see room for multiple other types of cheats. Exactly what they are and how they work remains to be seen, but much like Lando, we’d love to be able to keep some Sylops up our sleeve for when they’re needed in some high stakes games. Sabacc Rewards We’re only just scratching the surface with Sabacc. With seemingly dozens of tables strewn across the game’s many planets, there’s no shortage of games to play, some more casual and some high stakes. Rewards seem to vary depending on where you are and who you’re playing against. In almost all cases you’ll get some Credits for your troubles, but other games might provide new cosmetics for Kay, Nix, or the Trailblazer, while others might hand out powerful Shift Tokens. We’ll be sure to update you here with a comprehensive list of every Sabacc table we come across and the accompanying rewards when we get our hands on the full game. Star Wars Outlaws hits store shelves on August 30, 2024.

Skull and Bones: How to register for closed beta UbisoftThe 2023 Ubisoft Forward has announced a closed beta period for Skull and Bones. Here’s how to register. Ubisoft Singapore began development on Skull and Bones over a decade ago. Since then, the studio has delayed the swashbuckling title seven times. Recently, prospective players gained a little hope following Skull and Bones’ Ubisoft Forward appearance. Originally, Ubisoft planned Skull and Bones as an expansion of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag before it became an independent game. However, production hit a few significant delays amid Ubisoft canceling several games. Ubisoft confirmed Skull and Bones was still an actual game by announcing its closed beta at 2023’s Forward event. Here’s how to sign up to gain access. How to register for Skull and Bones’ closed beta The Skull and Bones closed beta period will occur from August 25 to August 28, 2023. It will be available through Ubisoft Connect on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. Watch the featured trailer for more Skull and Bones footage to see if it convinces you to register. You can sign up for the closed beta by visiting Ubisoft’s website. First, choose your preferred platform and log in to your Ubisoft account. At the time of writing, it doesn’t seem players need to purchase anything to access the closed beta. Ubisoft first announced Skull and Bones at the 2017 E3 Press Conference. The title received its first gameplay footage in July 2022. Consequently, some people mocked Skull and Bones for looking like an Elden Ring meme. While Skull and Bones received a closed beta period, a specific release date remains unknown. However, you can likely expect it to launch before March 31, 2024, during the current fiscal year. That is if Ubisoft doesn’t delay Skull and Bones for the eighth time. So now you can register for Skull and Bones’ closed beta. Stay updated with our coverage to learn the game’s official release date.

How Rainbow 6 and ARMA inspired new tac shooter Thunder Tier One – Dexerto
How Rainbow 6 and ARMA inspired new tac shooter Thunder Tier One KRAFTON, Inc.Thunder Tier One was a pleasant surprise at the tail-end of 2021. We spoke to Pawel Smolewski about how his passion project came to be. In a world of first and third-person shooters, sometimes all that’s needed to freshen things up is a change of perspective. That’s exactly what we found when we reviewed Thunder Tier One, a new top-down tactical shooter from PUBG developer KRAFTON, Inc. We spoke to Pawel Smolewski, the game’s Creative Director and Executive Producer, about how the project began, whether it was ever likely to be added to the ever-burgeoning PUBG universe, and why the team settled on an isometric viewpoint while still conveying the tension of a firefight. Thunder Tier One developer interview Smolewski is no stranger to the tactical shooter genre, having cut his teeth as an animator for Bohemia Interactive, working on the popular mil-sim ARMA 3. In fact, Thunder Tier One’s development began back then, too. “It started off when I was working as a dev on ARMA 3 and was trying out new ideas and experimenting with Unreal Engine,” Smolewski tells Dexerto. “Those experiments led me to try out the top-down shooter perspective which I found both interesting and challenging. I thought it would be fun to combine that perspective with a tactical shooter – and that was the start of Thunder Tier One.” Read more: Thunder Tier One review – Tactical shooters rarely break from first and third-person perspectives, for both gameplay reasons and for immersion. Thunder Tier One is played from an isometric viewpoint but doesn’t play out in a turn-based nature like an XCOM, instead choosing to transplant all the lethality of an FPS into a more detached camera perspective. We asked Smolewski how difficult it was to maintain tension when you’re essentially hovering above the battlefield rather than being on it yourself. “One of the reasons we decided to move away from a first-person perspective and third-person perspective was quite simply to do something different,” he reveals. “Remember that this was originally a personal project and we wanted it to feel fresh and new! This perspective also allowed us to work faster with fewer resources which meant in the early days we could focus less on detail and more on core mechanics and gameplay.” “The top-down perspective was of course a challenge. We wanted to immerse the players with the character which is far easier in FPP or TPP. It took a lot of work but we got there and I am very happy with what we created.” So, where did the inspiration come from for Thunder Tier One? Moments of it are reminiscent of early Rainbow Six games, while oft-forgotten original Xbox title Full Spectrum Warrior shines through in moments, too. Read more: Ready or Not developer reveals vision for the game: “We didn’t feel the genre was well-represented” – “Both those titles were definitely a big inspiration,” Smolewski told Dexerto. “Thunder Tier One is essentially a tribute to all of the tactical shooters from the late nineties and early noughties, titles such as Jagged Alliance, the Ghost Recon series, and SWAT games that the team and I loved.” “It is also inspired by classic nineties action movies, we wanted to create a real sense of nostalgia for players.” KRAFTON obviously works on one of the world’s most popular tactical shooters in PUBG Battlegrounds, a game that is now starting to spawn a growing media franchise with new spinoff titles. Was there ever a point where Thunder Tier One could have become part of the PUBG universe? “No, I started this project before I worked for KRAFTON and it has therefore always been a completely separate and independent product,” Smolewski explains. “Whilst at KRAFTON, the intention remained to keep it as a stand-alone game with no link to the PUBG Universe.” Thunder Tier One is available now on Steam.

How Pathfinder 2E movement & reach works – Dexerto
How Pathfinder 2E movement & reach works PaizoBattlefield positions are vitally important in Pathfinder 2E, after all, you need to understand how the movement & reach rules work to keep your character safe as they dash through combat. Pathfinder 2E has a tactical combat system with many interlocking gameplay elements that interact in various ways. Compared to D&D, it’s a more complex system that requires more from the player and the DM. The position of the player characters and the monsters is especially important, as many of your Actions and Reactions are tied to where everyone is standing at that moment in time or where they’re currently moving to. As Pathfinder 2E’s rules are more complicated than what some players are used to, we’ve created a helpful guide to explain the movement & Reach rules, as understanding the safest places on the battlefield will help keep you and your party alive. Determining Speed in Pathfinder 2E The first thing that needs to be established is how far your character can move, which is determined as part of your Speed stat. Your Speed stat will be broken into feet; if you’re using a battle map, each square on the map equals 5 feet. So, if your Speed stat is 30 feet, you can move six squares. To determine your Speed, you start with your choice of Ancestry, and these can have a wide variety of values, such as a dwarf having 20 feet while elves have 30 feet. Your class can also provide a Speed bonus, such as the Barbarian’s level 4 Fast Movement Feat. It also bears mentioning that your armor can reduce your Speed score if your Strength stat isn’t high enough, meaning you lose movement in exchange for a higher Armor Class score. There are also many temporary effects that can increase/decrease your Speed, such as the Fleet Step Arcane spell, so there are measures available that can make you faster or slow down your enemies. How movement, Strides, and Steps work in Pathfinder 2E In Pathfinder 2E, a character can take three Actions on their turn, as well as a Reaction, which can occur on an enemy’s turn. One Action you can take is Stride, which allows you to move up to your Speed value as part of one Action. This is the most common way you’ll be moving in Pathfinder 2E. It bears mentioning that, unlike D&D, you cannot perform other Actions mid-Stride, unless you have a class/ability that says otherwise. If you want to move, attack, and move again, that will usually take all three Actions. You can use all three of your Actions to perform Strides, allowing you to move three times your Speed value in a single turn. Unlike performing multiple attacks in Pathfinder 2E, there’s no penalty for performing multiple Strides, and you’ll have access to your full Speed with each movement. The world around you can impede your movement. Moving into or through difficult terrain costs an additional 5 feet of movement per square. Moving into or through greater difficult terrain costs 10 additional feet of movement per square. Like in D&D 5E rules, you can freely move through an ally or friendly creature’s space. It’s also possible to move through an enemy’s space using the Tumble Through Action, which is tied to your Acrobatics Skill. Moving diagonally in Pathfinder 2E has special rules. The first time you do it costs 5 feet, then the second time you do it costs 10 feet, then 5 feet again, then 10 feet again, and so on. This value carries across your whole turn and cannot be cheated using multiple Actions, though your counter resets when you start a new turn. The other important movement Action in Pathfinder 2E is Step. This will allow you to move a single 5-foot step without provoking Reactions that involve entering/leaving threatened areas. This is a vitally important Action, especially when enemies surround you, as it lets you escape from brutal attacks of opportunity, so long as you’re willing to spend Actions. It’s possible for characters to gain new types of Speed that let them move in different ways. Burrow Speed lets you move underground, Climb Speed lets you move up vertical surfaces, Swim Speed lets you move through water with ease, and Fly Speed lets you move vertically. These special Speeds are usually granted by Ancestry, class abilities, or spells. How Reach works in Pathfinder 2E A character’s Reach is also important in Pathfinder 2E, as it determines whether you can hit enemies and whether they’ll trigger Reactions from you. The Strike Action is your basic melee attack, and it can usually only be performed against creatures within your Reach. Usually, a creature’s Reach is based on size, depending on whether it’s Tall or Long. In most cases, the player characters are classed as Tall. This is the Reach for Tall creatures: Small – 5 feet – Medium – 5 feet – Large – 10 feet – Huge – 15 feet – Gargantuan – 20 feet – This is the Reach value for Long creatures: Small – 5 feet – Medium – 5 feet – Large – 10 feet – Huge – 10 feet – Gargantuan – 15 feet – The Reach value determines your natural reach, so a Large creature can hit enemies within two squares with just its fists. The downside is that bigger creatures take up a larger area on the battlefield and, as such, are easier to hit. There are ways to increase your Reach, such as using a longer weapon, like a Glaive, or certain class abilities or spells. Increasing your Reach can be extremely useful for a melee-focused build, especially one with many Reactions. Reach is often used in conjunction with Reactions, such as the Fighter’s Attack of Opportunity ability, which lets them strike an enemy who performs certain actions within their Reach. The second you enter a creature’s Reach, they have the potential to use melee Reactions against you. Using a mount in Pathfinder 2E One way to increase your Speed is to use an animal. If you’re a heavily-armored dwarf who can barely sprint, you can buy a riding horse, as it has a base Speed of 40ft, allowing you to gallop across the battlefield. In most situations, you can make a Nature check to perform the Command an Animal action, which will automatically succeed if you have the Ride Feat and are using a mount. If successful, you can order the animal to Stride or use a movement-based ability, which it will perform on its turn. There are some caveats to using a mount, the most important being that the DM controls the creature, and a critical failure means it can disobey your order or inadvertently put you in more danger. It’s also possible for enemies to manipulate the mount with their abilities, potentially making them a liability.

Orisa is the youngest character in Overwatch 2. We can imagine your mind is blown right now, but that’s the reality of the matter. The youthful exuberance of D.Va as a young streamer or Kiriko’s snarky personality evokes the opinion that either of them could be the youngest character in the game, but alas, that’s not the case. In fact, the youngest human in the cast is Illari, at 18 years old, which shows in her voice lines that portray her as a timid young girl out of her depth. Who is the oldest Overwatch 2 character? Added in 2019, Sigma is still the oldest character in Overwatch 2. The all-powerful Tank Hero just edges out Reinhardt as the franchise’s old-timer. Who knows what Blizzard has in the pipeline as there’s every chance that a new older Hero could come along and hoist the crown aloft. How old is Ana in Overwatch 2? It may surprise many to learn that Ana is 62 years old and is one of the oldest members of the Overwatch 2 roster. It’s sometimes easy to disassociate Bastion and the concept of age, considering he’s a robot (technically Omnic) but at 32 years old, the combat unit has been through the wringer. Bastion was once a combat-driven attack unit designed to tackle the armies of humanity. Now, Bastion prefers the tranquility and discovery of nature and has become a sidekick to Torbjorn. How old is Brigitte in Overwatch 2? On the youthful side of the spectrum, Brigitte is 25 years old, born on September 22. How Neco Arc saved a dying game through the power of memes – Dexerto
How Neco Arc saved a dying game through the power of memes French BreadMelty Blood isn’t the most popular fighting game out there, but meme character Neco Arc has brought so much attention to the game that she’s almost single-handedly revived its dying playerbase. It’s an exciting time to be in the FGC. With Tekken 8 getting teased, Street Fighter 6 right around the corner, and games like King of Fighters VI, Skullgirls, and Dragon Ball FighterZ getting continuous support from their communities, there’s a fighting game out there for everyone. That said, not every fighting game can succeed. Titles like UNiST (Under Night in Birth), DNF Duel, Samurai Showdown, and many other fighting games with a ton of time and money poured into them have fallen off. With how much of a time investment is required to learn fighting games, having a dead community will very quickly seal the fate of a fighting game. The perfect storm There’s no foolproof way to revive a fighting game once it’s fallen out of public favor, and seeing a resurgence in old titles is incredibly rare. However, Melty Blood: Type Lumina has seen a dramatic player base increase that mostly can be attributed to the release of one character: Neco Arc This meme of a character has taken the fighting game community by storm. But how can a single fighter save an entire fighting game? While there’s more to the story than that, Neco Arc’s power should not be underestimated. If she’s a meme character, then Melty Blood: Type Lumina developers French Bread committed to making that meme as high quality as possible. For example, Neco Arc has a move that covers the health bars and super meters for both players, and gives her a Vtuber model on-screen. Neco Arc’s 4th wall breaks and meta jokes come through her well-crafted yet completely ridiculous moveset to make a character that’s not only fun to watch, but fun to play. Her release came right after Melty Blood: Type Lumina was put in front of more eyes than ever at EVO 2022. When Melty Blood’s top 8 were on the main EVO stream, it hit peak viewership of over 51K with an average concurrent viewership of over 30k. Now, this certainly wasn’t anything near Street Figher V’s peak of 150k, but it’s still a huge milestone for a relatively small fighting game and shows that there’s interest in the title. The history behind the Melty Blood series is a bit long and convoluted, but Neco Arc as a character has been around for over 20 years. Neco Arc is a parody version of Arcueid Brunestud, another character from the Melty Blood series. She made her first appearance in 2000 as a joke in the Tsukihime visual novel to which the Melty Blood series is a spinoff. Neco Arc has been in a few Melty Blood fighting games herself, and her moveset in Type Lumina is just as ridiculous as ever. But it also maintains the high skill ceiling Melty Blood is known for. Melty Blood’s dedicated community has kept Neco Arc alive, and her simple yet distinct character design makes this lovable gremlin stand out in a very saturated fighting game market. This character has gone from an off-hand joke in an obscure Japanese visual novel to an over-the-top mainstay that has managed to keep Melty Blood alive as a series. Come for Neco Arc, stay for a better Melty Blood Does that mean she’s the only character worth playing in Melty Blood? Far from it. But the absolute insanity of Neco Arc’s moveset acts is a great reason for new players to try Melty Blood, and she’s a reason for old fans to return. And, on top of that, Melty Blood developers French Bread put a great deal of effort into addressing players’ problems with their game. Neco Arc comes alongside a massive balance patch, one that may have brought some players back on its own. But this patch in tandem with Neco Arc’s release is an incredible combination, one that has allowed Melty Blood to simultaneously capture a new audience and hold onto its niche player base. And, on top of all that, both Neco Arc and Mash Kyrielight, the other character added, are free updates. Rather than gating this content behind a paywall, returning players can jump right into Neco’s shoes at no cost. Thanks to her incredible influence, the hard work all those developers put into a full game rebalancing patch has paid off. We only have Steam player counts to go off of, but, according to the Melty Blood: Type Lumina steam charts, this game has seen a peak 497% player increase from July to August. And, considering how much of the fighting game player base resides on console, this PC player count is likely a fraction of the actual count of returning players. After such a big balance patch, Melty Blood: Type Lumina might as well be a new game. With character tier lists thrown out the window, there’s so much to learn for Melty Blood’s best players. Hopefully, Melty Blood: Type Lumina can maintain this momentum and make a return appearance at EVO in 2023.

How much will the PS5 cost? Sony developer hints at price of next-gen console – Dexerto
How much will the PS5 cost? Sony developer hints at price of next-gen console On April 16, Sony revealed the first details of their next-gen console in a Wired interview, detailing some tantalizing upgrades from the current-gen systems, but there were no details on pricing. Lead system designer Mark Cerny has since dropped a small clue though. In the big reveal article, Cerny boasted about the PS5’s (not an official name yet) big jumps in performance, with a better CPU, GPU, ray tracing, 3D audio, an SSD (rather than a hard drive) which cut loading times by a power of 15, and much more. All of this sounds great, but it will be a challenge for Sony to fit all this power into a compact console, and have it sold for a price that console gamers have come to expect. Sony says PS5 price will be “appealing” If one were to build a PC capable of running 4K resolution at a stable 60 FPS (on high settings), you’d be expecting to drop roughly $500 or more on the graphics card alone. So how can Sony squeeze so much performance into a price bracket that is ‘reasonable’ for console purchasers? Although Cerny didn’t give any exact figures, which will likely not come until the console is fully unveiled, he reassuringly stated that the price of the PS5 will be “appealing to gamers in light of its advanced feature set”. Wired writer Peter Rubin shared this exchange on Twitter, although it did not feature in the main article. Me: There’s always been a general range of launch pricing. Will the next console hew to that range?@cerny: I believe that we will be able to release it at an SRP [suggested retail price] that will be appealing to gamers in light of its advanced feature set. (cont’d) — Peter Rubin (@provenself) April 16, 2019 This sounds like it might be slightly more expensive than the PS4 or PS4 Pro when first released, but that the improvement in performance will (hopefully) justify it. Rubin pushed Cerny on this, but he was predictably tight-lipped. Me: Meaning that it may cost a bit more but what you’re getting is well worth it?@cerny: That’s about all I can say about it. — Peter Rubin (@provenself) April 16, 2019 PlayStation buyers predict cost of PS5 Commenters mainly predicted a price of around $500 when the system launches, which would be around $100 more than the cost of the PS4 Pro when it first launched. $500 easy. Sony won’t do $599 again, and they are the leader so they don’t have to play ball with a lower price point like the $399 for the PS4. — Alex (@AlexJimiThing) April 16, 2019 $500, based on inflation since the last consoles and based on the amount of tech in the PS5, sounds totally fair to me. And for the complainers, or those who demand free games, the PS4 backwards compat/improvements will be more than enough for me. #PS5 — Adam Welby (@VigilantMagus) April 17, 2019 Retailers will typically sell new consoles as bundles with a game or three as well, which should help ease the initial hit of purchasing the system, but $500 for a console may still be too steep for some more casual, infrequent console players. It’s possible that two models of the PS5 could be released, perhaps one with a smaller SSD, say 500GB or 1TB, and maybe without the 3D audio features, which would be sold at a lower price point, then a more pricey version too. What we do know, is that we won’t be seeing the console released in 2019, so that gives you plenty of time to save up.

How much will the PS5 cost? PlayStation 5 price estimate – Dexerto
How much will the PS5 cost? PlayStation 5 price estimate SonySony have now finally unveiled the PlayStation 5, releasing holiday 2020 – but how much will the PS5 cost you at launch? Sony did not announce the cost, and official, regional, pricing is unlikely to be revealed until very close to launch. But, we can piece together a (hopefully) accurate estimate based on the information we already have. This includes some of the headline specs, such as an SSD (as opposed to a hard drive), ray-tracing technology, and the ability to push out 8K playback. So we’ve considered all the features that could stack up to give us a rough price estimate. Will the SSD make PS5 more expensive? Some of these specs, particularly the SSD, do not come without a price tag. To buy your own 1TB SSD will cost you anywhere from $150 to $250, depending on the brand and the type (SATA or NVME). The PS5 is confirmed to come packed with an 825GB SSD, which could end up being one of the most costly single components in the entire console. Read More: PlayStation 5 officially revealed – Of course, Sony are not buying individual SSD’s for each PS5, but it’s still an expensive component – much more expensive than a hard drive. Ray-tracing in PS5 Next up we have ray-tracing, still somewhat a novelty even in PC gaming. NVIDIA started the trend with their ‘RTX’ graphics cards, which came with RT cores to provide more realistic reflections and shadows. These RTX graphics cards come at a premium vs their non-RTX counterparts, and so there’s presumably an added cost for having this feature in PS5 too. However, it’s possible to provide ray-tracing through software now, which could cut down on this cost, rather than having a physical ray-tracing graphics component. We also know roughly what CPU the PS5 will use; an 8-core AMD Ryzen chip. The cost of an equivalent chip for consumer purchase is around $170. Ray-tracing makes reflections and shadows much more natural and realistic. So, what’s the PS5 price? Adjusting some of these prices down a bit, as Sony will be manufacturing in bulk, for the CPU, GPU and SSD alone, it could cost them around $300-$350 to make (for a 1TB model). Add in the chassis itself, disc tray (on the non-digital version), RAM, controller, development costs and everything else, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the base model come in at around $500, and potentially rising to $599, depending on the edition. We know there are at least two models, one with a disc tray and one without. But, whether they plan to introduce models with larger SSDs is unclear, though they would be more expensive. During a February 4 investor call, Sony indicated that a price point for the new console is still yet to be finalized. “It’s very difficult to discuss anything about the price at this point of time,” Sony’s Chief Financial Officer Hiroki Totoki expressed. “It’s a question of balance, and because it’s a balancing act, it’s very difficult to say anything concrete at this point of time.” Perhaps PlayStation will offer a version with a smaller SSD for slightly less, or a 2TB ‘PS5 Pro’ for a higher price, possibly breaching the $600 mark. A PS5 Pro could also allow Sony to offset the cost of the base model. By dropping it slightly to encourage more casual players to make a purchase, while more dedicated players will pay a premium for the ‘pro’ version. All of this is speculation currently, as we won’t know the actual price until much closer to release in holiday 2020.

How much does it cost to buy every single Mortal Kombat 11 skin? – Dexerto
How much does it cost to buy every single Mortal Kombat 11 skin? Warner Bros. InteractiveMortal Kombat 11 seems like it will require a lot of grinding to unlock all the game’s cosmetics, but one player did the math and found out how much money it would actually take to unlock everything by just paying for it. NetherRealm Studios’ latest game Mortal Kombat 11 was met with critical acclaim with some reviewers even calling it the best Mortal Kombat title to date. However, players have been reporting something a lot of the reviews glossed over – Mortal Kombat 11 features a lot of grinding if you want to unlock the various cosmetics the game has to offer. It apparently costs over $6,000 to purchase everything A post on the PS4 subreddit shows just how much money it costs for players to buy every skin in the game without doing any grinding and the number is shockingly high. Reddit user AccomplishedPoet8 says it takes $6,440 to buy every skin in the store if you’re lucky and check the store every time it resets. He came to this conclusion by saying there at 23 characters in the game, each of which that have 60 skins. Playing through various parts of the game unlock four skins, leaving 56 to unlock at $5 a pop. Update: April 25, 8:55AM EST: Ed Boon has responded to the claim that it costs $6440 to purchase every single skin in Mortal Kombat 11, calling it “complete bullshit”. According to Boon, the “vast majority of skins are not for sale” at all, and that you must earn them in-game. L:joyful:L OMG! The $6440 story is complete bullshit! :joyful: Where do these people get their information? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: The VAST VAST majority of MK11 skins are NOT for sale. That’s not how @NetherRealm make games. You have to EARN them IN GAME!#FactCheckB4reporting:pray: — Ed Boon (@noobde) April 25, 2019 The $6,440 number doesn’t count for the fatalities, brutalities, gear, etc. that players also have to earn. While players aren’t required to do any of this and it’s not needed to fully enjoy the game, some are still angered, particularly those looking forward to those features that were previously made available for little to no extra payment or grinding. NetherRealm says fixes are coming In a stream, the developers said fixes are coming due to the community backlash. “Everything in the game has numbers attached to it,” says NetherRealm. “We can change those numbers without pushing out a patch.” They say not to expect a patch for these changes as they will just appear in the game when they are ready. No timetable has been given for the release but the fixes are going out as soon as possible. Last updated April 25, 8:55AM EST.

How Morale works in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – Dexerto
How Morale works in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Team NinjaWo Long: Fallen Dynasty introduces some inventive concepts to the Souls genre, one of which is the Morale system. It’s not immediately clear how this works in the beginning, so let’s clear up Wo Long’s Morale system and simplify its mechanics for you. Nioh fans will be very familiar with many of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty’s stylings and features, but one way that Team Ninja rips up the rulebook is with the game’s Morale system. Morale can have a major bearing on how you progress in Wo Long, what you should and shouldn’t do, and is very important overall. If you’re a bit unsure of how it works, how to increase it, or how to sustain it, then we’ve got everything you need to know right here. What is Morale in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty? Morale in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is both a metric of your character’s current power level in an area, as well as an indicator of how strong an enemy is compared to you. When you load into a new level, you will always start with a Morale rank of 1. If you encounter an enemy that has a Morale of 10, then you’re going to be quite outmatched by the opponent, your attack power will be reduced against them, and their attack power will be far greater than normal. The idea is to build your Morale so that it’s equal to, if not greater, than enemy creatures and humans. If you manage to boast a superior Morale rank to an opponent, then your attack damage will be increased and theirs will be decreased. How to increase Morale in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Increasing Morale in Wo Long: Dynasty primarily occurs in one of two ways: killing enemies or claiming Marking Flags and Battle Flags. Enemies This concept is straightforward as you just need to run around the level you’re in, rack up kills, rest at Battle Flags to make enemies respawn again, and so on and so forth. This is a surefire, grindy way to increase your Morale, and it’s very effective. You can also just play the level normally instead of farming one area as each level will provide the player with multiple encounters against much higher-leveled foes – vanquishing them can offer a nice boost to your Morale rank. Flags Following on from the point about just exploring the level, each main mission and certain side missions will have a plethora of Battle Flags and Marking Flags for players to find and capture. Doing so will not only increase your Morale Rank between one and several points, but this will also increase your Fortitude rank too. What this means is that if you die, your Morale rank cannot drop any lower than your established Fortitude rank in a given level. How to lose Morale in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty You are just as susceptible to losing Morale in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty as you are to gaining it. It’s possible to drop Morale, again, through one of two different ways: Dying or being hit by Critical Blows. Dying A fairly self-explanatory one here, but if you lose all your health, then not only do you lose some of your Genuine Qi, but you also lose levels on your Morale rank. The easy solution for this one is staring you in the face – don’t die. Critical Blows Critical Blows are super attacks that virtually every enemy is capable of landing but are usually well-telegraphed in the form of a big, glowing red circle that appears on your opponent’s body. If you are unable to deflect a Critical Blow or roll out of the way in time, it will drop your Morale by 1. So being hit by several of them can quickly become quite devastating to your damage output potential and make you weaker – especially against bosses. That wraps up everything you need to know about Morale in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Every Like a Dragon (Yakuza) game in order: Chronological and release date – Dexerto
Every Like a Dragon (Yakuza) game in order: Chronological and release date Dexerto/ SegaYakuza is a beloved franchise with a lot of games to dive into, so here’s a list of all the mainline titles in the series in order. The Like a Dragon series, formerly known as Yakuza, has been around for almost 20 years now, with a new game releasing almost every year since the inception of the first game in 2005. Yakuza (2005) introduced us to the character of Kazuma Kiryu and the rich lore behind his Yakuza family that is being fleshed out to date. That being said, the Yakuza series is infamous for its brutality, similar to that of its namesake Japanese criminal syndicate. However, over the years, the Yakuza series has become more goofy, highlighting the over-the-top aspects of the series making each entry distinct from the other. So if you’re wondering where each entry falls in the timeline. Here’s everything you need to know about all the mainline Yakuza games in chronological order. How many Like a Dragon (Yakuza) games are there? While we have covered a total of nine entries on this list, that’s not it, as Yakuza has a total of 23 entries, with the majority of them being spin-offs. Some spin-offs are so outlandish; one example is Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise based on a manga, which is not exactly a spin-off of Yakuza but features characters such as Kazuma Kiryu. Other titles well known entries such as Like a Dragon: Ishin! or Judgement and its sequel, Lost Judgement, following the story of a detective. As a whole, you don’t need to play all 23 games to understand the plot of Yakuza. However, each game fleshes out the world these characters are in, expanding the ever-growing world of Yakuza. Every Like a Dragon (Yakuza) game in chronological order Below is the suggested sequence to play every mainline Yakuza game if you wish to dig into the story of the entire series and experience it game-by-game: 1) Yakuza 0 2) Yakuza Kiwami 3) Yakuza Kiwami 2 4) Yakuza 3 5) Yakuza 4 6) Yakuza 5 7) Yakuza 6: The Song of Life 8) Yakuza: Like A Dragon 9) Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth All mainline Like a Dragon (Yakuza) games & their release dates Yakuza 0 Release date: 2015 – Developer: Sega – Platforms: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One – The first Yakuza game in chronological order is actually the sixth game in release order. Yakuza 0 begins with Kiryu being framed for an alleged murder in 1988, as players are greeted by a young, 20-year-old Kazuma Kiryu. What follows is a masterclass of a game that is often hailed by many to be the best in the series. Yakuza Kiwami Release date: 2016 – Developer: Sega – Platforms: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One – Yakuza Kiwami is a remake of the first game, released 11 years after the first game, and is the definitive way to experience Yakuza. With one of the best stories that kicked off the series, Yakuza Kiwami lets you delve into the world of Yakuza in true next-gen graphics. Yakuza Kiwami 2 Release date: 2017 – Developer: Sega – Platforms: PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One – Released one year after the previous game in this list, Yakuza Kiwami 2 serves as the remake of the original sequel Yakuza 2, making this the last entry to finally be available on next-gen consoles since every game after Yakuza 2 has been released on next-gen consoles. Yakuza 3 Release date: 2009 – Developer: Sega – Platforms: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One – Yakuza 3 is often considered the weakest entry in the series. The third installment features a lackluster story with janky combat. If you’re planning to play all the games in chronological order, the shift from the first three games’ next-gen graphics to Yakuza 3’s dated graphics might feel jarring, and the remastered edition doesn’t make it any better either. Yakuza 4 Release date: 2010 – Developer: Sega – Platforms: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One – This is when the Yakuza series finally starts to bloom. In true over-the-top fashion, Yakuza 4 features four protagonists, as the story is told from four different perspectives, with each character having interesting backstories and equally important stakes. The stories of each character continue throughout the series, making each individual equally important in the grand scheme of events. Yakuza 5 Release date: 2012 – Developer: Sega – Platforms: PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One – Yakuza 5 ups the ante on the already complex plot of Yakuza 4 as this entry tries to flesh out each character even more. Many fans complained that this entry strayed away from Kiryu. However, Yakuza 5 builds upon other characters who become significant later on in the series, making the world of Yakuza feel more lived in. Yakuza 6: The Song of Life Release date: 2016 – Developer: Sega – Platforms: PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One – Yakuza 6 is one of the best Yakuza games out there. It has a compelling plot that builds upon the story so far as players get to see a different side of not only Kiryu but the world of Yakuza as a whole. This game was supposed to be the final chapter in Kiryu’s saga as he atones for his past sins and tries to turn over a new leaf. Yakuza: Like A Dragon Release date: 2020 – Developer: Sega – Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S – For a franchise as old as 20 years, change is inevitable, and no one understands that better than Yakuza or, better yet, Like a Dragon. Not only does this game officially change the name of the series to Like a Dragon from Yakuza, it also reinvents the series by taking it in a whole new direction. This game also acts somewhat as a soft reboot with some references to previous games, but as a whole, you can play this as your first Yakuza game without having to worry about missing anything. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Release date: 2024 – Developer: Sega – Platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S – Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the latest mainline game in the Yakuza franchise. It’s a direct sequel to Yakuza 7 Like a Dragon The story follows Ichiban Kasuga as he works together with Kazuma Kiryu to help locate Kasuga’s mother in Hawaii. This is the first time a Yakuza game has been set anywhere outside Japan with the two iconic protagonists back at the helm. How many players in Skull and Bones multiplayer? Co-op, server sizes & more – Dexerto
How many players in Skull and Bones multiplayer? Co-op, server sizes & more UbisoftAfter nearly seven years of waiting Skull and Bones is finally here but the game has a lot to live up to. With combinations of multiplayer elements and solo play, here’s everything you need to know about how it all works. It certainly has a lot going for it visually, but actually playing the game may be different from the expectations of some. The game features no land combat, instead choosing to focus on creating enthralling naval battles between rival captains. Additionally, there is limited customization and RPG elements, with the game following a model similar to the developer’s other offerings, like The Division. With a full roadmap for the year ahead already in the public domain, the future of the game is clear. Here’s everything you need to know about how the game’s multiplayer functions. Skull and Bones features up to 3-player co-op The main multiplayer feature is that Skull and Bones allows up to 3-player co-op. This pool of players is a composite of either friends or random players. This is particularly useful for taking on the game’s most difficult objectives. There is a solid argument that this is how the game is meant to be played and in our limited experience in the beta, soloing some of the content is a difficult proposition. Whether the developer will lean into this more as the game progresses is unclear. Servers can host up to 20 players at a time and the game launches when this maximum is reached. These experiences can vary wildly, as some players form magnificent coalitions, while others deal in destruction. How many people play XDefiant? Player count in 2024 – Dexerto
How many people play XDefiant? Player count in 2024 UbisoftXDefiant was finally released on May 21 to much fanfare, even breaking player count records for Ubisoft, but exactly how many people are playing the game? Ubisoft’s FPS newcomer has already attracted millions right out of the gate, its Call of Duty-esque gameplay already looking to be a real competitor with Activision’s juggernaut. Despite a few server problems early on, the game has been relatively smooth sailing in its Preseason stretch, with the game’s player count already racking up some impressive numbers. So here is everything you need to know about XDefiant’s player count. Do we know XDefiant’s player count? According to reports by Insider Gaming, XDefiant reached a high of 700,000 concurrent players on May 27. The game also racked up 500,000 concurrent users in its first 24 hours after its May 21 launch. 48 hours after launch, XDefiant gained over three million unique players, and a week after launch, the number of unique players reached 7.6 million and is expected to rise to 8 million soon. All these numbers are totaled from all platforms, which include PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Ubisoft has yet to release the stats themselves and there is no way to view its player count stats as it’s only playable through Ubisoft’s own client, which means third-party trackers can’t view XDefiant’s analytics. However, despite the early figures, Insider Gaming’s source says several developers working on XDefiant are not taking the unique player numbers too seriously. As it stands, these are the only numbers that are publicly available for XDefiant. Until Ubisoft reveals its internal stats, we won’t know what the games’ exact numbers are.

Warzone 2 – later rebranded just Warzone – was a highly anticipated upgrade to the original, with many looking forward to its best weapons and new maps. While other platforms like Xbox, PlayStation, and Battle.net do not disclose player data, Steam’s API allows for tracking accurate player numbers. So, bear in mind that while these numbers are for Steam players only, they will give our best indication possible of how many people are playing Warzone and MW2 along with Modern Warfare 3. Since Steam Charts doesn’t show the stats for just Modern Warfare 3, it’s hard to determine one game’s player count. Remember, this includes anyone on the Call of Duty app, so they could be playing Campaign, Multiplayer, Warzone, or DMZ. How many people play MW2 and Warzone? It’s impossible to know how many people are playing on other platforms exactly, but COD has always been a very popular series on console, so expect the peak on all platforms to be as much as 2 million concurrent players. Modern Warfare 2 was the best-selling CoD release ever in the first weekend, generating $800 million in revenue in only three days. Warzone is of course free-to-play, and that low barrier of entry saw player numbers surge sharply on Steam when it launched. However, over the years the numbers have dropped while also managing to remain consistently above 150,000 every month. Check out how Warzone’s player count compares to Apex Legends and Overwatch here. Wondering if it’s worth jumping into Al Mazrah? Be sure to check out our Warzone 2 review. That’s all there is to know about Warzone’s player count. You can also check out the active player count of Valorant, Apex Legends and World of Warcraft.

How many people are playing Palworld? Player count tracker – Dexerto
How many people are playing Palworld? Player count tracker PocketpairWe don’t think anyone expected Palworld to accumulate players as quickly as it has since its launch in January 2024. The game has grown in spectacular fashion, shocking audiences and critics alike. Here is the current player count for Palworld in March 2024. Palworld’s signature combination of survival, crafting, and creature-collection mechanics is so appealing that the game has rocketed through the Steam charts at a breakneck pace. Players are having a blast building intricate bases and capturing more than 100 Pals to fill out their Paldeck. Pals occupy the game world and can be captured in order to have them work on the base or participate in battles. With all of that going on, it has become a race to explore everything the game has to offer at this Early Access stage. Without further ado, let’s dive into the player count for Palworld as of March 2024. Palworld player count: Total players Pocketpair recently shared that Palworld has reached more than 25 million players in total. Available across both Steam and Xbox Game Pass, the combination of these two platforms has led to a tremendous boom in players. The split appears to be more than 15 million playing Palworld on Steam and over 10 Million playing on Xbox Game Pass. These numbers make Palworld the most successful third-party launch on Xbox Game Pass according to Microsoft. Palworld player count: Concurrent players In the week following its launch, Palworld consistently broke records for concurrent player on Steam as it rose through the charts. At the time of writing, Palworld’s highest peak concurrent player count sits at a whopping 2,101,867. This technically makes Palworld the most-played paid game ever on Steam after beating juggernauts like Cyberpunk 2077, Elden Ring, and Hogwarts Legacy. It should be noted that while PUBG: Battlegrounds hit its peak player count of 3,257,248 before it became free to play. It just doesn’t appear on the paid charts anymore. An exact number of peak concurrent players exploring Palworld on Xbox Game Pass is unknown due to the lack of a public data tracker. Microsoft has revealed that the average concurrent player count of Palworld on Xbox consistently exceeds 3 million players. Since February, Palworld has seen a steady decline in player base. Of course this isn’t much of a problem as a single player title, with many jumping into the game, having their share of fun and then leaving the game to other titles. How many people play Deadlock? Player count in September 2024 – Dexerto
How many people play Deadlock? Player count in September 2024 ValveValve’s not-so-secret hero shooter MOBA, Deadlock, has been in its playtest phase for months already, and the player count just keeps growing. Deadlock is Valve’s new action-packed release full of unique characters to use and Unsecured Souls to collect. It may still be in its early access period but that hasn’t stopped it from amassing a big fanbase already. Curious to see how many people are playing Deadlock? Here’s what you need to know. How many people play Deadlock? According to SteamDB, Deadlock has an all-time peak of 171,490 players. This number has stayed pretty static in the time since this peak was reached on September 2, 2024. Currently, Deadlock’s player count averages at 100k at any given time, cementing it as one of the most played games on Steam. Although the game’s existence has been made public by Valve, access is still restricted to those who can get an invite. However, considering that people can add their friends to the test, the number of players with access has grown in the weeks since people were rushing to gain access. Its current player base is on par with other live service titles like Call of Duty and Once Human. Bear in mind that each region has restricted playtest times. If server times weren’t limited periods, the numbers would be even higher, and it’s likely we see the player count balloon once it’s made easily accessible to the public. As far as we know, Deadlock is exclusive to Steam so the current numbers on SteamDB should be relatively accurate to how many are playing. However, plugging a controller in brings up a fully integrated UI and controller bindings, making a console port more likely than you’d think. That’s what we know about Deadlock’s player count so far. If you’re just jumping in, check out our best builds for Vindicta, Infernus, Pocket, Shiv, and Dynamo.

How many people play Content Warning? Player count stats – Dexerto
How many people play Content Warning? Player count stats LandfallWondering how many people play Content Warning? Here’s everything we know about the player count stats of the latest horror title. Content Warning is the latest indie horror game that rose to the spotlight on April Fools’ Day 2024 when Landfill shadow dropped the title to the gaming world. Taking notes from hits like Lethal Company, this indie title tasks you to film scary videos with your friends in the Old World and upload them on SpookTube. The main objective of the game is for you to go viral, gain more views on your videos, and earn money to get all the top gear you can. Shortly after the game dropped for free only for the first 24 hours, thousands of players rushed to grab and join the fun with their friends. Even so, the Twitch concurrent peak reached over 50,000 concurrent viewers. However, if you’re wondering how many people are playing Content Warning as of yet, we’ve got the player count stats for you right here. Content Warning player count stats According to SteamDB, Content Warning now boasts 200,000+ active players within 24 hours of its launch. Landfall thanked 4.5 million owners in a post and said, “Thank you all for filming scary stuff with us.” This count is far higher than Lethal Company which peaked at 57,000 concurrent players in the first 24 hours of its release. The fact Content Warning was also launched as a free game has significantly contributed to its rise and ownership among gamers. Players are now creating mods to add exciting features to Content Warning including the one where you can increase max player count in a single session. However, Landfall is at work to fix bugs and release several hotfixes for the game so players can have a seamless experience during their gameplay. How many people play Concord? PlayStation hero shooter dead on arrival? – Dexerto
How many people play Concord? PlayStation hero shooter dead on arrival? Firewalk StudiosPlayStation’s foray into the hero shooter genre looks to be in trouble upon release. This guide will break down just how many people play Concord. Concord had a rocky road to release and now that it’s out in the wild, players just aren’t showing up. Following on from a Beta period that failed to capture the masses, its full release across PS5 and PC on August 23, 2024, has similarly fallen short. Initial trailers were slammed with dislikes which certainly didn’t help out of the gate, and negativity continued to surround the game right up to its full launch. So, how many people are actually playing Concord in total? And what do the numbers say about the long-term health of the game? Here’s what you need to know. Concord PC player count Concord’s all-time concurrent player count peak on Steam currently sits at just 697. This means, on the day of its full release, the game failed to attract even 1,000 players at the same time, at least on PC. These launch day figures fall short of even the game’s Beta on PC. On Steam, the game’s open Beta peaked at 2,388 concurrent players, a slight jump from its closed Beta high of 1,124. Obviously, it’s worth bearing in mind the paywall. The open Beta was just that, open to anyone who wanted to check it out. Now, prospective players have to fork over $40 USD to access the multiplayer-only game. For comparison’s sake, other multiplayer-only games like Counter-Strike 2, PUBG, Apex Legends, Rust, and many others, all attracted millions of players over the same 24-hour period in which Concord set its peak. Concord PlayStation 5 player count Data for Concord’s player count on PlayStation 5 is harder to come across. However, TrueTrophies did some digging earlier on and managed to find an interesting disparity between the game’s closed and open betas. The exact numbers are unclear but the reports were that the Concord Open beta actually had 8.1% fewer players than the closed beta. This was despite the fact that the open beta was free to a much wider set of prospective players. Is Concord dead on arrival? To be blunt, Concord may very well be dead on arrival. Failing to attract even 1,000 players on PC, let alone hundreds of thousands like you’d hope for, like other PlayStation hits such as Helldivers 2 have, it doesn’t bode well for the game’s future. While Firewalk Studios has a long-term roadmap, with multiple seasons ahead and a weekly cadence for new cinematics, failing to reach a sizable audience could put a pin in said plans. Live-service games need a healthy community to continue funding development over time. In Concord’s case, unless something changes, and fast, perhaps a pivot to a F2P model, the future is certainly looking bleak.

How many Acts does Diablo 4 have? – Dexerto
How many Acts does Diablo 4 have? Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4’s campaign is split into multiple Acts, which divide the story around when the hero enters a new region. If you’re curious as to how many acts there are in Diablo 4, our guide has everything you need to know. Diablo 4 has its campaign divided into different Acts, similar to Diablo 2 and 3. While the earlier titles had four Acts each, with a fifth added later in expansions, Diablo 4 achieves this slightly differently. Diablo 4 is much more of an open-world game than its predecessors, so rather than being warped to a new biome and region after completing an Act, you’ll need to travel there yourself across the world map. Here’s a rundown of all the Acts in the game along with how long each one is, as well as if you need to play each of these Acts in order or not. Contents How many Acts are in Diablo 4? The story of Diablo 4 includes six Acts in total, along with a Prologue and Epilogue. This is a couple more than what we’ve seen in previous titles like Diablo 2 and 3, where the number of acts was limited to four plus an expansion Act. All Diablo 4 Acts in order Here are all the Diablo 4 Acts in order: Prologue: Wandering – Act 1: A Cold and Iron Faith – Act 2: The Knife Twists Again – Act 3: The Making of Monsters – Act 4: A Gathering Storm – Act 5: Secrets Bartered, Fates Sold – Act 6: Dance of the Makers – Epilogue: From the Wound Spilled – As we mentioned earlier, the breakdown of the story into these acts makes it easier to follow. Not all Acts are of equal length in the game. Some of them are quite long while others end up on the shorter side. Do you need to play the Diablo 4 acts in order? Yes and no, you can start Acts 1, 2, and 3 from the very beginning of the game, as each of them is separated by region and follows a different set of characters. This also allows you to engage in side quests and world events at your leisure. Remember, the game levels with you, so spend as long or as little time as you like completing optional content. You’ll need to have the first 3 Acts completed to begin the much shorter Act 4. Then you need to complete Acts 5 and 6 in order. So, there you have it — that’s everything you need to know about the Acts in Diablo 4. How long is The Lords of the Fallen? Main story & completionist run – Dexerto
How long is The Lords of the Fallen? Main story & completionist run CI GamesHaving released recently, The Lords of the Fallen is the latest in the line of Soulslike games, following its 2014 predecessor. But what is the duration of this eagerly awaited sequel? The surge in popularity of Souls and Soulslike games is evident, especially after the immense acclaim of Elden Ring. This wave has pushed FromSoftware’s iconic genre into the mainstream spotlight. As a sequel to its 2014 namesake, The Lords of the Fallen promises to be another remarkable addition to the Soulslike realm. Developed by HEXWORKS, The 2023 iteration of The Lords of the Fallen is a sequel to the original game set over one thousand years later. The events of the first game are the word of legend now, and the new protagonist will have to embark on a dangerous journey across the dark land of Mournstead. You may be wondering exactly how much time you’ll get to spend in Mournstead, so here’s everything you need to know about how long The Lords of the Fallen is. How long is The Lords of the Fallen? The Lords of the Fallen will take approximately 30 hours for players to finish a single playthrough. This was confirmed by the game’s Executive Producer, Saul Gascon, and Creative Director, Cezar Virtosu in a recent interview with mp1st. Gascon mentioned that for the development team who have got their hands on the game, it’s taken “around 25 hours” to beat, however, this is with them knowing everything about it, including “whatever enemies spawn” so for new players it will take longer. He also went on to highlight the replay value in The Lords of the Fallen, stating “30 plus more or less. Then you have different endings. You have three different endings depending on which factions you align with, so that’s one of the replay values. Plus the different classes, so you want to try different types of builds etc”. On top of multiple endings to discover, the game will feature a New Game Plus mode, which means players will be able to reexperience a more challenging campaign with all their stats and gear carried over. This will bump up the playtime even more, so completionists can expect to spend a lot longer than 30 hours with the Soulslike. How long does it take to beat Dead Space remake? – Dexerto
How long does it take to beat Dead Space remake? Electronic ArtsDead Space remake features a large majority of the original content, while adding more context and action to the story. With that in mind, here’s how long it will take you to survive Isaac’s quest through the Ishimora. 2023’s Dead Space is a ground-up remake of the 2008 original. The game involves space engineer, Isaac Clarke, coming to the mining vessel known as the Ishimura to repair its systems and reunite with his missing girlfriend. Once he arrives, Isaac and his team discover that the ship has become overrun with bloodthirsty space zombies called Necromorphs – which seek to add him to their undead ranks. The game is a survival horror title, therefore like most other games in the genre, it tries not to outstay its welcome when it comes to length. Games like Dead Space are at their best when they’re tight, cinematic experiences that benefit from replayability. That being said, some games in the genre are notoriously short, so Dead Space must walk a fine line between both length and quality. Here’s how long it will take to beat the Dead Space remake. How long is Dead Space? 2023’s remake is roughly the same in length as the original – taking around 11-12 hours to beat. Like the original, the Dead Space remake is comprised of twelve chapters each taking roughly an hour to complete. The first and final chapters are a little shorter, but some chapters are longer than others. Dead Space (2008) was roughly 11-12 hours long, depending on whether you had played the game before and knew where you were going. Those familiar with the game could beat it much sooner, but the average first playthrough would clock in at the twelve-hour mark. There are several mysteries to solve on the Ishimura and the game rewards exploration. Those who take their time with Dead Space and investigate every dark corridor and hidden room will find more supplies and upgrades to aid them on their journey. So take your time and don’t worry if your first run takes longer than around twelve hours. Remember, this time there are a variety of side missions to do which can lead to a secret ending. How long is The Callisto Protocol? Main story length & time to beat – Dexerto
How long is The Callisto Protocol? Main story length & time to beat Striking Distance StudiosThe Callisto Protocol is a moderately-sized horror title from Striking Distance Studios, but how long exactly can you expect to spend your time with the space horrors? Horror games are alive as ever in the last couple of years, with the likes of The Callisto Protocol, the Dead Space remake, and Resident Evil 4 also making a comeback earlier in 2023. But it’s The Callisto Protocol that begs the most questions as it’s a new face in the celebrated genre. We’ve praised the title saying that it’s an “all-time horror masterpiece” and that it captures the essence of its most infamous genre predecessors. But the issue of game length is a factor in modern games now with some games outstaying their welcome, and others not giving enough value for money, so how does The Callisto Protocol fare? The Callisto Protocol campaign length We can confirm that our first playthrough of The Callisto Protocol in the middle of the game’s three difficulty levels took us over 13 hours to complete. This is completely in line with Striking Distance Studio’s claims that a standard run of the game can be expected to take 12-14 hours – depending on your playstyle. If you rigidly stick to the main path and don’t really explore, then you might expect to shave an hour or so off of this total. We did not and made sure to find all the hidden extras we could find, going off the beaten path, and generally admiring the game’s visuals and efforts. Additionally, if you opt to do your first playthrough on the easiest difficulty, then you can expect to take less time to complete the game as you will die less frequently and be able to whip around the game faster. If you play the game on Maximum Security difficulty though, then it’s going to be a much tougher experience with more deaths and more perfection required to see it through to its end. So, there you have it, that’s everything you need to know about The Callisto Protocol campaign length. How long is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? Main story length & completionist details – Dexerto
How long is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? Main story length & completionist details RocksteadyAfter years of setbacks and controversy, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is finally upon us, but just how long is the new Rocksteady title? From a main story run to a full completionist playthrough, here’s what you can expect. Formally announced all the way back in 2020, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League certainly had a turbulent road to launch. From early gameplay criticism to major delays, and a rocky release with critical bugs right out of the gate, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing. But now that the latest DC video game is finally upon us, just how big is the Suicide Squad game? While the Arkham titles before them offered plenty of bang for your back, how does the 2024 release stack up? From a straight run through the game’s storyline to a more in-depth completionist playthrough, here’s what you can expect from the game’s length. How long is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? Main story run Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is reportedly clocking in at roughly 10 hours for those beelining the game’s story. While we at Dexerto are yet to finish the game ourselves, and thus unable to verify just yet, multiple players have aligned on the matter. IGN’s Destin Legarie was among the first to claim the mainline path takes roughly 9-10 hours, before hundreds more chimed in on Reddit. For some, this runtime appears to be rushed, for those jumping from one story mission to the next without soaking up anything else. So if you take a more measured approach and enjoy the story at a reasonable pace, you should be able to expect a slightly longer main story in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. How long is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? Completionist run Currently, it’s unclear just how long a completionist run might take in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Due to the nature of it being a live service title, with plenty more content always just around the corner, this number is ever-changing. As it stands with the base game, you’re likely looking at anywhere from 20-30 hours to tick off most of the game’s content. Though for real grinders trying to reach max level on all characters and farm all the best endgame gear, that time could possibly double or triple. We’ll be sure to update you here as we get further into the grind ourselves, and as the community tackles much of the optional side-content on offer in the base game.

How long is Starfield? Main story length & completionist run – Dexerto
How long is Starfield? Main story length & completionist run BethesdaBethesda RPGs tend to be quite large in scope, so how long is the main story in Starfield? Here’s what we know about the campaign length and how long it takes to complete everything. After a lot of anticipation, players are finally getting to dive into the epic space adventure of Starfield by exploring planets, traveling across distant solar systems, and customizing their ship in the sprawling RPG. There’s a huge amount of content on offer that will keep players busy but you may be wondering exactly how long you’ll be spending in the game, whether that’s just on the main campaign or doing a full completionist run. With that in mind, here’s exactly how much time you can expect to spend in Starfield. How long is Starfield? Main campaign run The main campaign for Starfield is expected to take between 30-40 hours to complete during an average playthrough. This estimate was given by producer Todd Howard during the 2022 Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. Comparing that to some other Bethesda titles, HowLongToBeat lists Skyrim – Special Edition’s Main Story as taking 26 hours to finish and Fallout 4’s as 27 hours. Not only is the game longer than Bethesda’s previous releases, but it’s no doubt going to take far longer than Howard’s estimate for completionists looking to see everything it has to offer. How long is Starfield? Completionist run While no concrete answer has been given for a completionist run in Starfield, it appears players can expect hundreds of hours of entertainment. A completionist run of Skyrim can easily take over 200 hours while doing the same on Fallout 4 can take over 150. Assuming Bethesda’s latest game keeps to form, exploring all of Starfield’s content will take hundreds of hours. This was reaffirmed by Bethesda’s own Pete Hines at Gamescom 2023. “I’m at 150-160 hours on my current playthrough and I haven’t even come close… There’s so much stuff I have intentionally not done. No matter how you want to play there is so much for you to do in this game.” That’s everything you need to know about how long Starfield is! How long is Silent Hill: The Short Message? – Dexerto
How long is Silent Hill: The Short Message? Silent Hill: The Short Message was revealed and released last night, giving players a brand new experience from the franchise. But just how long is it? Here’s what you need to know. Konami shadow-dropped Silent Hill: The Short Message at January’s PlayStation State of Play. Many fans of the franchise are waiting for more news on the Silent Hill 2 remake, such as its release date. This makes The Short Message a nice holdover until we get that. Famously, within the franchise, P.T. was released in a similar manner. That tight horror experience went on to be one of the most beloved horror video games of all time. While it’d be a lot to expect The Short Message to reach the same heights, it’s nonetheless a must-play for any Silent Hill fan. However, despite a trailer that didn’t reveal too much, it’s not too surprising if you aren’t certain what the game is or what to expect. That’s where we can help. If you’re looking to put aside some time for the game, here’s just how much you’ll need. How many hours is Silent Hill: The Short Message? To complete Silent Hill: The Short Message, it’s generally going to take one or two hours. This is designed to be a brief horror experience meant to expand the universe, rather than an entire game. That’s why it’s free. This means you should be able to complete it in just a sitting or two. This is also meant to exist without the need to play other Silent Hill games, instead taking place in the modern day, exploring themes of social media and online bullying. Playing as Anita, you’ll navigate an abandoned apartment complex (that interestingly doesn’t reside in Silent Hill), though unsurprisingly you’ll be stalked by the horrors of the franchise the deeper you go. That’s all you need to know to jump into the game. It’s only a short experience, but it’s free so why not jump in one evening?

How long is Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2? Main story length explained Ninja TheorySenua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is set to be a similar length to the first game, but how long is that exactly? Here’s the time it’ll take for you to clear the story. With Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice ending as a somewhat complete story, Hellblade 2 will have a lot of opportunities to explore new grounds for its narrative. Instead of chasing open world trends, Ninja Theory is aiming for a similar experience as the first game regarding its narrative. While details are still sparse on what exactly will be happening in the sequel’s story, here’s everything we know about how long it will take to finish Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. How long is Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2? The main story length of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is estimated to be around 8-9 hours long, as the studio is aiming for a play time around the same as the first game. According to an official blog post on Xbox Wire from Ninja Theory studio head Dom Matthews, the developer “took advantage of the freedom that digital-only distribution offered us to create a game of the length that fit perfectly with our intended experience but could be sold at a lower price to reflect the shorter length of our story.” Hellblade 2 will be “a game similar in length to the first Hellblade, with a focused narrative, and sold digital-only at a price of $49.99 USD,” Matthews continued. Video game tracker site HowLongToBeat puts Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice completion time at around 8 hours for its main story length, and 9 hours if you do a completionist run. Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice didn’t have much for you to do as side content, though there were collectibles littered around the game to find. How long is Sekiro? Survival tips and tricks – Dexerto
How long is Sekiro? Survival tips and tricks From SoftwareSekiro is a brutally difficult action-adventure game by FromSoftware, but how long is it and how can you make the game easier for yourself? After finishing work on Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne, FromSoftware turned their attention to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, a single-player game where players control a vengeful ninja. Sekiro retains the rock-solid gameplay FromSoftware titles are known for but is a very different experience from the games that came before it. Sekiro started life as a reboot of the Tenchu and features a lot of similarities to those games. However, Sekiro evolved into its own IP early in development. While the game takes cues from the Souls series and shares a developer, it would be inaccurate to describe Sekiro as a Souls game. If you’re playing Sekiro for the first time, here are some helpful tips to make your experience easier, including how long Sekiro is. Contents How long is Sekiro? A leisurely first playthrough of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice should take around 30 hours to complete. This includes all major quests and side quests. Subsequent playthroughs will likely take a shorter amount of time, as you’ll know where you’re going or how to defeat a certain boss. Sekiro for completionists However, those who truly immerse themselves in the game, the lore, and see everything there is to do in Sekiro will take roughly 70 hours to reach the ending credits. How you play Sekiro will also factor into how long it takes you to complete, with many players approaching the game in the wrong way. This can lead to frustration and eventually, to some players giving up Sekiro, Stealth, and Souls As Sekiro is developed by FromSoftware and features punishing third-person combat like Dark Souls and Bloodborne, many players approached the title as if it was a Souls game. This is a mistake for anyone who wants to survive in Sekiro. Dark Souls players are encouraged to dual with their enemies, learn their attack patterns and overcome them, while Bloodborne rewards players for their aggression and ruthlessness. Sekiro on the other hand rewards players for their guile and patience. In Sekiro, players are in control of a ninja, not a plate mail-clad knight or pistol-wielding hunter. Therefore, it’s better to use stealth and sneak up on enemies, then insta-kill them once in range. Read More: Everything we know about Elden Ring – Players need to stalk their prey, study their movements, and thin the herd from the shadows. Once detected, then the player has a choice to make, they either fight to the death or run and hide. Fighting is always an option and the skilled will do well, but more often than not, the player will get overwhelmed and killed. Sekiro is also not Devil May Cry, where the protagonist can slash hordes of enemies to death at one time. Our advice is to forget what you learned in Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Instead, treat Sekiro like a different beast. This will help you get through difficult areas and to the level’s boss – this is where your combat skills will come in handy.

How long is Hades 2? Overview of all Early Access content – Dexerto
How long is Hades 2? Overview of all Early Access content Supergiant GamesHades 2 is out now in Early Access but just how long does it take to beat? Here’s the rundown on all the content already in this initial build and how many hours you can expect to grind. Three years removed from the initial release of the original Hades, its sequel is now in focus. Hades 2, the first-ever follow-up from Supergiant Games, is now available in Early Acess and as you’d expect, in typical Supergiant fashion, there’s plenty to sink your teeth into. With a range of new resources, systems, weapons, bosses, and everything in between, there’s a ton of content here to keep you satisfied. But just how long does it take to get through it all? Here’s a look at how long you can expect to be playing Hades 2 in Early Access. How long does it take to beat Hades 2 in Early Access? Storyline run For a playthrough of Hades 2 focused mainly on experiencing the story, you can expect roughly 15-20 hours of game time. In large part, this is due to the methodical pacing you’d be familiar with from the first game. The story of Hades 2 evolves with each successful or unsuccessful run in the Underworld, and beyond. New characters come into the mix, new plot lines open up, and as you grow into the shoes of Melinoë, the world around you changes. And while there’s no clearcut ending in the Early Access version, to see all of the unique narrative-based content on offer, clearing the main bosses and reaching ‘the end,’ of sorts, you’re looking at that 15-20 hour ballpark. How long does it take to beat Hades 2 in Early Access? Completionist run For a playthrough of Hades 2 that looks to tick every box, unlock every item, gain every unique reward, and essentially do it all, you could be looking at well over 50 hours of gameplay in Early Access already. While there’s still more areas to be introduced, new characters and systems to mix things up as well, the day one Early Access build already has tons to see and do. From optional challenge runs to upgrading your Arcana Cards, there’s a great deal on offer to keep you busy for hours on end. The total time it might take depends on your level of skill, and of course, in roguelike fashion, a bit of luck too. Finding every Legendary and Duo boon alone could take dozens of hours depending on your luck and how swiftly you get through the many upgrade systems. Let alone all the other unique content we haven’t mentioned. For a full completionist run, 50 hours seems like the minimum you can expect to spend with Hades 2. Given the game is in Early Access, and will be until at least the end of 2024, you can expect this number to continue growing a great deal too. As more content is added to the build, there will be plenty more for completionists to get through. How much content is in Hades 2’s Early Access build? Put simply, Hades 2 has a huge amount of content available in its Early Access build. You’re effectively getting just as much as the full version of the original Hades in terms of storylines, weapons, systems, and more. As we outlined in our bigger preview, the Early Access label isn’t the most fitting here for Hades 2. Supergiant has all but released a full sequel, just with a few finishing touches left in the pipeline over the rest of 2024. Outside of a definitive ending, some artwork left to be finalized, and a handful of systems to be implemented, the game is already incredibly feature-rich. The good news is no matter how much progress you make in Early Access, your save will carry over into the full release of Hades 2.

How long is God of War: Ragnarok Valhalla? Main story length, completionist run & more – Dexerto
How long is God of War: Ragnarok Valhalla? Main story length, completionist run & more Santa Monica StudiosGod of War Ragnarok’s surprise DLC, Valhalla, is finally out for players to enjoy, and fans are loving Kratos’ new adventure so far, but how long will it take to beat this exciting new addition? Here’s what we know about how long God of War: Ragnarok Valhalla is. Perhaps one of the most surprising announcements of The Game Awards was the trailer for a brand new God of War Ragnarok DLC, which was set to release in the next five days. God of War: Ragnarok served as the epic conclusion to the Norse saga, as it tied up almost all loose ends. However, Valhalla serves as an epilogue to the said conclusion, telling a nuanced character story, which Santa Monica Studios is known for. That being said, Valhalla also has a bunch of surprises for fans of the original God of War Greek saga, which should keep you hooked for rest of the game. So, here’s exactly how much time you can expect to spend in Valhalla, God of War Ragnarok’s DLC. How long is God of War: Ragnarok Valhalla? A single playthrough of God of War Ragnarok Valhalla’s main story should take you about 6 hours, according to HowLongToBeat. However, if you plan to immerse yourself deeper in the mystical realm of Valhalla and plan to go for a completionist run, you can expect to spend up to 8 hours. Nonetheless, these hours may vary depending on your playthrough. Since Valhalla features a plethora of roguelike elements that allow you to tackle the different levels in a variety of ways, you might end up crunching more hours if you plan to experiment more. While Valhalla might not be as long as other expansive DLCs, there might be more more than meets the eye, as a senior writer at Santa Monica Studios recently stated in a tweet that the end credits roll might not really be the end of the game. As always, we’ll be sure to update this article as more information is unveiled.

How long is God of War Ragnarok? Main story length & side content rundown – Dexerto
How long is God of War Ragnarok? Main story length & side content rundown SonyGod of War Ragnarok is filled to the brim with expansive locations, a hefty dose of side content, hidden collectibles, and of course, an epic main storyline. But just how long does it take to see and do everything in the latest chapter of Kratos’ saga? Here’s what you need to know. With the God of War reboot in 2018 came an enormous open-world adventure jam-packed with secrets for players to uncover. From the twisting main narrative itself to the Valkyrie fights, and of course the 51 Ravens hidden throughout the realms, there was plenty to keep you busy. As you would expect, the sequel follows suit with an equally ambitious journey, sending Kratos and Atreus far and wide across familiar and new territories all the same. But with this expanded scope, is the game itself any longer? While it ultimately boils down to how you play and your skill when it comes to winning some of the more difficult fights and finding the more subtle collectibles, most playthroughs should clock in at roughly the same time. So here’s what you can expect if you’re jumping into God of War Ragnarok. How long is God of War Ragnarok? Main storyline only If you’re purely interested in the main storyline and care little for the side content on offer, God of War Ragnarok should take you roughly 25 to 30 hours at most. With more realms now accessible and plenty of additional characters showing up, it’s a slightly longer tale than its predecessor, though not by much. While most of the main path can be blitzed through without too much difficulty, avoiding side content along the way will see the difficulty increase as you progress. Enemies will be at a higher level, and you’ll be missing an assortment of upgrades locked behind side missions. So expect some tougher fights toward the end if this is your preferred method, but even then, your run shouldn’t take any longer than 30 hours. How long is God of War Ragnarok? 100% completion If you’d rather tick all the boxes and reach 100% completion across every realm in God of War Ragnarok, you’re looking at roughly 40 to 50 hours for this more intricate playthrough. With that amount of time, you should be able to find every collectible, tie up all loose ends in side missions, and complete every bonus challenge on offer. As you might expect, a few areas are a little more difficult than others and could alter your playtime quite significantly. Finding every hidden Raven is one such task, as is clearing the Muspelheim trials. But perhaps the most challenging aspect of Ragnarok is the Berserker fights, similar to the Valkyries in the previous game. For us it took around 42 hours to clear everything on offer, but your mileage may vary.

How long is Alone in the Dark? Main story & completionist run – Dexerto
How long is Alone in the Dark? Main story & completionist run THQ NordicAlone in the Dark (2024) is a reboot of the original game, but how long will it take you to reach the end and see everything there is to see? Like the original Alone in the Dark entry from 1992, the game features two characters, Emily Hartwood and private investigator Edward Carnby as they travel to the creepy Derceto Manor, a care home for the “mentally fatigued”, to investigate the disappearance of Jeremy Hartwood, Emily’s uncle. While there, the duo is accosted by horrific supernatural entities and forced to fight for their survival. The remake splits the narrative between both Emily and Edward, feeling a lot like Resident Evil 2 in that sense, as both characters have separate but interconnected stories. Both will need to be completed before you have seen the complete story. Here’s how long it takes to complete the Alone in the Dark reboot. How long is Alone in the Dark? An average run-through of either Emily or Edward’s story in Alone in the Dark will take between six to ten hours to complete – depending on how thorough players are when it comes to investigating clues and exploring every nook and cranny. For a true and complete ending, players will need to then play the second campaign from the other character’s perspective, which will take roughly another six to ten hours. Therefore, a completionist approach will take between 14 to 20 hours to complete in full. Of course, it largely depends on if you’re trying to race through the game or soak up its tense and chilling atmosphere. How Lies of P retells the story of Pinocchio – Dexerto
How Lies of P retells the story of Pinocchio Neowiz Games / Round 8 StudioLies of P is a dark retelling of Pinocchio, this time involving a robot uprising, monstrous mutations, and epic boss fights. Yet many of the story’s original themes are included in some form. The Adventures of Pinocchio (1883) by Italian writer Carlo Collodi was originally a children’s story involving a puppet on a quest to become a real boy. Like Disney’s cartoon version of the tale, the original book was rather dark in parts, as Pinocchio and other characters learned some life lessons the hard way. However, the source material was often even darker than the animated film, something the game Lies of P leans into. Like the original story, Lies of P sees Pinocchio go on a quest to become a real boy, save his father Geppetto, and help those around him. Unlike the original novel though, this adaptation sees the fictional city of Krat, where Pinocchio lives, face an uprising by the puppets Geppetto built. So, Pinocchio takes up arms against his own kind to save the day. As if a robot uprising wasn’t enough, there’s also a Dishonored-style plague sweeping through the city. Pinocchio’s characters in Lies of P The uprising and plague weren’t included in the original story of Pinocchio, being new additions to give the titular puppet something to fight in video game form. But Pinocchio did have enemies in the book, most notably the Fox and the Cat who menace him throughout his journey, as well as a terrifying Puppet Master. Each of these enemies is repurposed in Lies of P, and some fill a very different and surprising role. A gang of rabbits also appears in both the book and the game, but in Lies of P, these are a gang of human enemies wearing rabbit masks that battle both P and the Fox and Cat duo. In the original story and animated film, Pinocchio has a troublesome friend called Candlewick/Limpwick whose real name is Carlo. Both Pinocchio and Carlo are turned into donkeys in the book, while Pinocchio narrowly avoids this fate in the Disney adaptation. Lies of P features a different version of Carlo, but the donkey theme also returns, just very differently. Let your conscience be your guide Both the novel and cartoon versions of Pinocchio, see the character guided and helped on his quest by a Blue Fairy and a talking cricket called Jiminy, who acts as the puppet’s conscience. Both characters are adapted in Lies of P, with the Blue Fairy being turned into Sofia, a mysterious blue-haired woman who is able to level P up in the game’s hub area – a lot like the Fire Keepers in the Souls series. Jiminy is instead Gemini, who’s implied to be an AI cricket that lives in P’s lamp and offers him advice throughout the game. Finally, honesty plays a role in all versions of the story of Pinocchio with the puppet often facing consequences for the lies he tells. In the source material, Pinocchio’s nose grows when he lies. This doesn’t happen in Lies of P, instead, lying is a superpower and P is the only puppet to have developed it. Choosing to be dishonest in Lies of P also has unexpected implications for the ending you receive at the conclusion of the game – you can learn more about the various Lies of P endings here. So that’s how Lies of P retells the events of Pinocchio, it’s own unique way. For more Lies of P content, check out some of our below guides: How long is Lies of P? How Kaspersky fell in love with speedrunning – Dexerto
How Kaspersky fell in love with speedrunning Kaspersky Esports as an industry has grown exponentially over the last two decades, and speedrunning has been along for the ride since the very start. Every year, there are multiple huge speedrunning events that make millions for charity, as well as crown world record holders — just like what happened at Break the Record: LIVE, as Xiae smashed the Doom Eternal record in the Kaspersky-sponsored event. Despite how long speedrunning has been popular, it has never quite broken into the upper echelons of esports, but that might not be the case for much longer. “Speedrunning has always been grassroots, built from the ground up by passionate players,” said speedrunning YouTuber and commentator Karl Jobst. “Now that it has become more popular, we are starting to see some money come in. This is a great thing and will help take the niche to the next level.” Kaspersky helped the European Speedrunners Assembly and Break the Record: LIVE bring something that has “been severely lacking in previous years” according to Jobst: competitive speedrunning. But it’s the way Kaspersky went about it that is most notable. Far more than simply attaching their name to the tournament, the global cybersecurity company sought to integrate with the community — engaging with, listening to and openly showing their affection for the burgeoning esport. Quite simply, they’d fallen in love with speedrunning and the community’s non-stop quest to go faster. It was through this willingness to listen and learn, that they managed to find a meaningful way to play their role, and contribute to the growth of the sport. While speedrunners search for ways to maximize performance of their console or PC to make transitions and actions that much quicker, cybersecurity software is often one of the first things cut — despite the perils of doing so. Through their ongoing dialogue with the speedrunning community, Kaspersky was able to validate the existence of this risky behavior, and then address it in emphatic style during the event. As planned, competitors took to Doom Eternal to compete for the quickest time. Impressively six personal bests were achieved, and the world record convincingly broken. Once the event concluded, the winner — and new world record holder — Xiae began to reflect on his extraordinary achievement, revealing that he’d actually achieved his feat with Kaspersky Internet Security installed and its Gaming Mode functionality enabled. There was no obligation for competitors to use Kaspersky Internet Security at all, and the winner himself was not sponsored by Kaspersky, which says a lot about what the product offers to competitive speedrunners and those looking to perform at the peak of their abilities while staying safe online. Of course, Doom Eternal itself is one of the most hardware-intensive PC shooters out there right now, not even factoring in the fact that these runners were trying to complete the game as quickly as possible as well as streaming it to thousands of viewers. The importance of Kaspersky creating a good product, without gamers needing to sacrifice the ability to perform to the best of their abilities, was paramount. By all means, it passed the test with flying colors, as new world record holder Xiae can attest to. What’s next for speedrunning, then? Jobst believes that while old classics such as Super Mario 64 and Zelda: Ocarina of Time will remain popular, the future of speedrunning lies in new games. “I think the future will involve speedrunning competitions featuring new releases,” he said. “I think it would even be in the interest of developers and publishers to nurture and facilitate such events to bring attention to their games.” Jobst says he’d like to see similar events to the Doom Eternal Break The Record: LIVE event, but for many other new games, because they “showcase how quickly speedrunners can understand and break apart a game.” With the excitement of Break the Record: LIVE still fresh in the minds of speedrunning fans, the big question this poses is which game comes next?

How Jungle Camps work in Deadlock – Dexerto
How Jungle Camps work in Deadlock Dexerto / ValveValve’s newest hero shooter MOBA Deadlock is filled to the brim with unique strategies and gameplay tricky to help you win games, so here’s how to use the jungle camps to the best of your advantage and reap their souls. Deadlock is Valve’s newest take on a MOBA, combining both hero shooter elements from titles like Overwatch 2 with the intense statistical strategy of games like Dota and League of Legends. With multiple lanes, objectives to capture, and souls to farm, there’s a lot of strategy involved in ensuring your way to victory. One of these may include the jungle camps spread throughout the map, which is a great way to pick up bonus souls while in the downtime. Looking to start farming it up? Here’s what you need to know. Who is supposed to take Jungle Camps? Unlike in other MOBAs, there is no dedicated jungling role in Deadlock. Instead, all players are supposed to take these camps as they see fit, whether that be because they have spare time or need to take some time away from the main fight. That means that if you’re running back to lane, or have already shoved out your lane, it’s a good idea to run through, clear them out and pick up the bonus souls to help you reach your builds faster. Where are the Jungle Camps? There are many jungle camps spread throughout the maps and lanes in Deadlock. The best way to identify them is through the minimap, which has icons detailing where they are and what tier they are in. The most basic tier of jungle camps is shown by a singular green triangle on the map, making it easy enough to spot if you’re looking for some bonus souls to pick up. The higher tier camps are also shown by a green triangle, but lines are included underneath to indicate their level. One line means it’s a tier-two camp, while two lines under means it’s a tier-three camp. Jungle Camps, Tiers and Spawn Timers Like in other MOBAs, certain jungle camps only spawn at specific times throughout the match. Deadlock limits what tier of jungle camp can spawn in until the seven-minute mark, to prevent players from immediately farming up huge amounts of souls. Here’s the spawn timer and base souls for each tier of jungle camp. While Tier 3 camps do reward the most amount of souls, it’s worth noting that they have high health and deal high amounts of damage. As such, it’s a good idea to be high-level or ask some buddies to come along to help you out.
