Apex Legends “toe-scope” might be greatest trickshot of all time Respawn EntertainmentA new term may have been coined by one incredible Apex Legends play as a gamer has managed to hit a nasty “toe-scope” trickshot using only their feet in the hit battle royale game. With tons of legends, four huge maps, and a bucketload of exciting features and gameplay options, there’s always something new to be done in Apex Legends. This was certainly the case for one Apex Legends player as they decided to play the game a bit differently. Taking advantage of the Sentinel Sniper Rifle’s high DPS, they managed to pull off a compilation-worthy no-scope trickshot, only, in a very unconventional way. Apex Legends player achieves incredible feet itsPsilo_youtube is an Apex Legends player that was apparently in need of a greater challenge. Despite not being physically impaired, the player opts to play Apex Legends with their feet to spice things up a bit. It doesn’t seem to affect their gameplay too much, given the ridiculous trickshot they pulled off. A tasty gameplay snippet showed the player in an intense end-of-round fight during a game of Arenas. During the skirmish, they used an Octane Launch Pad that was lying on the ground to propel themself into the air. After seemingly one hundred 360s in mid-air, they pulled out the Sentinel and hit an instant kill, no-scope on the final enemy player. Bear in mind, as the bottom-left corner screen showed, all of this is being done through the use of their feet. In response to the thread’s comments, the OP said: “Just trying to make Apex more interesting they bring the lore I bring the feet hahaha.” Read More: What is a “boop glitch” in Apex Legends? – When asked “Do you have to play with your feet or is that a choice?” the OP replied, “choice.”

Apex Legends to “soft launch” on mobile by end of 2020 – Dexerto
Apex Legends to “soft launch” on mobile by end of 2020 Respawn EntertainmentEA is eyeing a “soft launch” for Apex Legends on mobile at the end of 2020, finally bringing their successful battle royale to portable devices worldwide. Respawn has already been working to bring Apex to new platforms or services that would let an entire community of players experience the game for the first time. During the EA Play Live presentation, we got word that their title would soon come to Nintendo Switch and Steam services. But the expansion into other platforms isn’t stopping there, as EA is looking to launch an iOS and Android for their 60-player king of the hill. EA CEO Andew Wilson went over the mobile business development at the company during a June 22 Investor Fireside Chat, via ApexLatest, in which he discussed the successful game branching into the portable arena. “Mobile in particular is a category that spans across all of that,” Wilson said of EA’s intentions with that sector. “We have PvZ 3 in soft launch, we’ve talked about having Apex Legends by the end of this year.” This was a comment to note for a lot of Apex fans and interested parties, since the mobile iteration of the game had been a rumor up until this point. While there have been rumblings of a port for a while, not to mention plenty of fan-support, little news has been provided on that front. The call was the first official confirmation for an Apex Legends mobile release date that has come out of EA. Here it is. EA CEO talks about bringing Apex Legends to iOS & Android globally by the end of this year. With a beta version of Apex mobile set for late 2020 and a full release in early 2021, this completes the gamut of platforms the game will run on. With crossplay also coming in the last quarter of the year, multiple communities will be able to party up and load into the same servers. Players across consoles, PC (Origin and Steam), and possibly the upcoming mobile version will be able to take part in the same game. There’s bound to be more interest in Apex Legends’ upcoming port and EA is bound to announce more information once it gets closer to release.

Apex Legends to add ‘Community Happy Hour’ and Night Mode according to leaks – Dexerto
Apex Legends to add ‘Community Happy Hour’ and Night Mode according to leaks Reddit: Apex LegendsApex Legends data miners have dug into the games files and revealed that the game is set to receive a night mode and a ‘community happy hour’ with an upcoming update. Over 50 million players have dropped in at least once in search of a victory since the game’s release on February 4 – sending the title skyrocketing to the top of the gaming world. As the game grows in popularity, data miners and leakers are doing their best to reveal Respawn Entertainment’s plans for the future earlier than initially planned – with plenty of fakes and concepts thrown in there for good measure. However, Twitter user @AustinScriver looks to have uncovered two new additions to the game. Fans who had already conceptualized a ‘night mode’ in the game may just be getting their wish after all. After data miners dug into the games files, code has been discovered for something that would resemble a ‘night mode’ – with code that scripts a changing of the time from day to night and vice versa. Players have painted King’s Canyon red in the daytime since the game was released on February 4, but playing in the dark has been a feature that other battle royales, such as PUBG and Fortnite, have included for some time. Now, Apex looks set to follow that path too. LEAK: Also there’s a Night Mode is development. That’s one of the most requested features after a reddditor showed how the map would like in the Night. The only readable piece of code that is displayed in the leaked image shows that the happy hour has an end timer for hours, minutes and seconds. This may have something to do with a possible Double XP event or even double drops for players. However, that is purely speculation until official word is released. LEAK: There’s something called a “”Community Happy Time”” in the Code. Idk what it means but I’ll just leave it here. It’s possible that they could be arriving with the start of Apex Legends Season 1 – which is rumored to get underway at some point in March. Read More: When does Apex Legends Season 1 begin? Battle Pass release date, new characters and weapons – The seasonal based content will have a battle pass element, with both the night mode and community happy hour both possibly being linked to that in some way. Apex Legends voice actors surprised by fans in Titanfall cosplay – Dexerto
Apex Legends voice actors surprised by fans in Titanfall cosplay Electronic ArtsDuring Minneapolis’ Twin Cities Con, a group of fans met Apex Legends voice actors while donning Titanfall cosplay. Though Titanfall sits on the sidelines for the time being, fans never miss an opportunity to celebrate the franchise that helped spawn the creation of Apex Legends. These celebrations often manifest in fan art and the occasional campaign to revive Titanfall in some capacity. Of course, cosplay serves as another way for series faithful to express their fandom. And thanks to conventions, some get to showcase their creations in front of those directly involved in breathing life into the fictional universe. Fans in Titanfall cosplay pose with Apex Legends voice actors Redditor IMC-Spyglass and a group of friends dressed in their fan film costumes for Twin Cities and were able to take a photo with Apex’s Lifeline (Mela Lee) and Octane (Nicolas Roye) voice actors. Notably, the group donned Titanfall pilot cosplay, specifically “a mix of IMC militia” and Gates, the latter of whom is a 6-4 section commander. The pilot suits look nothing short of impressive. IMC-Spyglass noted in a follow-up post that each costume is comprised of “EVA foam, Kydex, and 3D-printed parts.” They’ll definitely shine on camera in the group’s live-action Titanfall fan film. Titanfall has enjoyed a few wins in Apex Legends throughout the last year and change. The Legend Valkyrie, introduced during the battle royale’s ninth season, has ties to Titanfall 2, for example. In addition, recent leaks suggest Titanfall maps will join Apex Legends for a new LTM sometime in the future. If and when such an update will actually go live presently remains a mystery.

Apex Legends players want iconic Titanfall 2 maps in Arenas mode – Dexerto
Apex Legends players want iconic Titanfall 2 maps in Arenas mode Respawn EntertainmentRespawn’s Titanfall has a ton of iconic locales from its past, and Apex Legends players have been picking their favorites to add in the small-scale Arenas mode. The Apex Legends community has been looking back at popular locales from Titanfall history and picking which ones they’d like to see make an appearance (or at least homage) in the 3v3 playlist. It started with user ‘SkEpTiCmONo’ suggesting Ash’s Simulation Dome from Titanfall 2’s campaign would be fun to have in Arenas mode, which started to get the ball rolling for other popular maps. Of course, there’s a lot of lore-finagling that either Respawn would have to account for or we, as a player base, can just forgive and forget simply to have more Titanfall content in Apex. In either case, there were great suggestions that could be mashed into one map so it wouldn’t be too small. Simulation Dome As mentioned above, a locale that Titanfall 2 fans would love, Ash’s Simulation Dome. Titanfall designs are generally made for vertical combat due to the beloved wall-running mechanic, but since there’s no such plans for Apex, a few tweaks would have to be made. After that, the Simulation Dome could make it a really good addition for a larger Arenas map and would be fun to play. Township A lot of Apex players had Live Fire maps in mind for natural reasons, and Township is a standout. With ample room for close-quarter mayhem and outplay potential, the TF2 map has the potential to be a brutal addition to Arenas. Stacks One of the first Live Fire maps, Stacks could be one of those Arenas spots that can have classic Apex combat. It’s a basic layout with rows of containers that could keep the quick firefights in Arenas intact while letting teams set up for advantageous fights. Deck Taking off the outer shell could make Deck an interesting place to have players duke it out in the fast-paced mode. Characters like Loba and Octane would have some of the best opportunities to shine while giving legends like Crypto and Bloodhound tons of value for their info-gathering abilities. Boomtown A staple of TF2 multiplayer, Boomtown could easily make a comeback with an Arenas recreation of some sort. From a gameplay perspective, it would give either trio in a round a chance for offense and defense. While some Titanfall maps would have to be expanded a bit to be a suitable Arenas POI, cutting down the best parts of Boomtown could fit in nicely for the Apex mode. Some locations you see in Arenas were built from the ground up specifically for the mode. If Respawn would pay homage to any Titanfall locations, they’d likely go through some sort of redesign regardless of how seamless a transition to an Arenas POI would be. With tons of longtime Titanfall fans playing Apex Legends, a map celebrating some of the best moments of the studio’s history would be a welcomed addition.

Apex Legends tips & tricks to get the 20 Kill Badge – Dexerto
Apex Legends tips & tricks to get the 20 Kill Badge Respawn/EAStill, trying to get your hands on the 20 kill badge in Apex Legends? Well, some players have shared tips that should give you a helping hand. Badge hunting is something that plenty of Apex Legends players do. By collecting an impressive set of badges, you can stand out from the pack when you get to show off your card as a part of the champion squad or in the death recap screen when you’ve eliminated an enemy. Though, one of the hardest badges still around is the one rewarding you for picking up 20 kills. Judging it on name alone, you might assume that it shouldn’t be that hard to get. Just drop in, kill 20 enemies, and get out. Yet, it isn’t all that simple. However, some players have shared their tips on how to make it slightly easier to collect – including the optimal map, weapon loadout, and even rotations. According to Apex Legends player http2k4s, your best bet for getting the badge comes on Kings Canyon. With everything being a bit more compact compared to World’s Edge, you can easily fall backwards into a few kills. As for an optimal landing spot, spaces like Market and Gauntlet aren’t major hot drops, though, enough players do land there to get you two or three kills off the bat. Plus, the loot ain’t too bad either. Speaking of loot, http2k4s recommends using an R-99 where possible and not wasting too much time hunting through death boxes when you’ve started picking up kills. Time is precious at the end of the day when you want the kills. While trios might seem like the best option as well – even though you can rack up more kills at once, you are better off playing duos. Why? Simple, you can get a kill on a player and only have to worry about one enemy coming to attack you in response, not two. Now, obviously, you do need some luck on your side too when it comes to getting loot, being credited with a kill, and having enemies spawn near you yet. Even just getting into double digits with kills means you’ve some talent as well. Hopefully, though, the tips can help you get closer to that all-important badge.

How to play Wraith in Apex Legends: Abilities, tips, more – Dexerto
How to play Wraith in Apex Legends: Abilities, tips, more Respawn EntertainmentFor players looking to pick up Wraith in Apex Legends, we’ve got several strategies that’ll help you master the Interdimensional Skirmisher and all her abilities. Despite all the new content over the years, Wraith has remained an extremely popular Legend among players, and for good reason. Her abilities, which manipulate space and time to outplay enemies, or escape them when necessary, are key fixtures in most squads, especially when it comes to the higher tiers of players. Now, Season 11 has kicked off, there’s no better time to learn the intricacies of Wraith and dominate your matches with her array of powerful abilities. How to make use of Wraith’s abilities Passive: Voices from the Void Wraith’s Passive ability Voices from the Void provides her with a warning when she is in imminent danger from an enemy. Whether an opponent is aiming down their sight at her or there’s a grenade about to land at her feet, Wraith will receive a voice cue to alert her that it’s time to rotate to a different position. Having this ability means it’s hard to catch her off-guard as it’s easy to maintain complete awareness of your surroundings. Keep in mind, relaying this information to your team is incredibly important as they may unknowingly walk into the path of a pushing squad. Use the extra information you have to your advantage and dispatch any enemies that have you in their sights. Tactical: Into the Void Wraith’s Tactical ability allows her to enter the void for 4 seconds, granting her invulnerability and 30% movement speed. While in the void, Wraith cannot contribute in combat or heal herself, but she is capable of seeing enemies. Respawn also fixed the annoying bug that meant hitting a wall knocked her out of the void and right back into the enemy’s sights. There are multiple scenarios where this ability can be incredibly useful, especially as a defensive tool in the middle of an intense gunfight. Keep in mind, this ability has a 25-second cooldown so make sure you’re making the of it and using it effectively. In the late game, there’s always the opportunity for a Kraber user to down you in a single shot while crossing through an open section of the map. Don’t take chance, pop Into the Void and rotate safely, making it impossible for snipers to pick you off. Ultimate Ability: Dimensional Rift Definitely Wraith’s most iconic ability, her Ultimate Dimensional Rift allows her to create two portals that are linked together and last for 60 seconds in total. These portals are not only accessible to Wraith and her squad but every single player on the map. This can be used to your advantage if an opponent unknowingly uses a portal that you and your squad are on the other end of, so don’t be afraid to set a trap for a squad that’s chasing you. During the closing moments of an Apex Legends match, by yourself some extra time by setting up your Dimensional Rift so that one exit is inside the final circle, which will allow you to keep going back and forth without incurring the regular amount of damage of being outside the safe zone. Finally, don’t be afraid to use the 25% movement gained from setting up the portal to push an enemy squad. This allows you to rush into a fight and have an escape option through a portal behind you if it’s necessary. Wraith tips and tricks 1. Use Dimensional Rift to help downed teammates Reviving teammates in the middle of a heated skirmish can often be a death sentence, particularly when an enemy team is pushing your position. Luckily, as Wraith you can use your Ultimate to help get your teammates out of harm’s way and into a spot where it’s safer to get them back up. Start off by finding a safe position away from the gunfight and make a portal all the way over to your fallen teammate. They’ll then use your Dimensional Rift and teleport themselves to a safer position where you can regroup and heal. This can be a huge difference-maker in the middle of a skirmish and completely turn around a gunfight if you pull it off. 2. Use her Tactical to find flanks At the closing stages of the match when the circle is extremely small, squads will often hug the outside of the ring. As Wraith, you can use this to your advantage by finding flanks with your Into the Void ability. As this grants you invulnerability for a short period of time, you can leave the circle and re-enter it behind an enemy squad, completely catching them off-guard. In the later stages of a match, it’s plays like this that can secure you and your squad the victory and wipe out the competition. 3. Set up a trap using your Ultimate Although Wraith has been around since the launch of Apex Legends, players still fall for the oldest trick in the book, and it’s incredibly effective when you’re being chased by an enemy squad. Simply make a portal and continue running away from the squad that’s chasing you, once your portal has reached its max distance, camp the end of it with your entire team. When an enemy makes the fatal mistake of taking the portal, immediately take them down and turn the skirmish in your favor. Wraiths have been doing this trick since the game was released but it still works a charm to this day. Hopefully, this guide has given you plenty of tips and tricks to completely master Wraith, the Interdimensional Skirmisher. It won’t be long before you’re dominating your Apex matches with the Legend and racking up massive amounts of kills. Make sure you follow @alphaINTEL for all the latest Apex Legends news and updates.

5 Apex Legends tips and tricks even advanced players might not know – Dexerto
5 Apex Legends tips and tricks even advanced players might not know There are still tip and tricks in Apex Legends that are ignored by long-time players of that the game that could help you secure an easy victory. Here are just a few that could make the difference between winning and losing. Apex Legends released on February 4 to much fanfare, as a new addition to the ever popular battle royale market, with players anxious to be earn the title of Apex Champion as they search for wins. While the game has been available for five months and is getting set to enter its second round of seasonal content, there are still some great tips and tricks that even long-time fans might not have picked up. So, here are a few useful tips that can help you become a dominant force in Kings Canyon. 1. Early game speed boost This tip comes right from the start of a match and is something that isn’t too hard to master. Before you even set foot in Kings Canyon, you can gain a massive speed boost that will help in the early game. How do you pull it off? Well, just before you land when dropping in, make sure your characters are as horizontal as possible. Once that position is set, get ready to hit that slide button at the moment you hit the ground. This will give you a quick kick of speed and help you cover more distance off the rip. 2. Wall climbing Wall-climbing and running have been the subject of speculation in the past as another thing from the Titanfall universe that could head to Apex Legends. While Respawn have killed off any hope of having a confirmed Titanfall-like aspect in-place, it is possible to wall-run to some degree. You can scale heights up to around 3 or 4 times your character’s height by simply running towards a wall while holding your jump button and looking upwards. Now, it’s not a completely easy mechanic to get to grips with but after some practice, you’ll find yourself being able to reach heights that you never thought were possible before. 3. Finishing moves can save your life This tip may be a bit more luck based than the others but it’s something that can legitimately help. While finisher moves are usually reserved for claiming another players life in style, if you time it to perfection when in danger, other players will end up missing their chance to claim an easy kill. The easiest way to pull one of these off, it seems, is with Mirage as the clone Legend will produce two players. Should an enemy end up trying to eliminate you by shooting the clone, they’ll be left embarrassed and miss their chance. It’s not something that’s guaranteed to work 100% of the time but it’s definitely something to keep in mind if you think about performing a finishing sequence after a firefight. 4. Free shield recharge As well as claiming style points on a kill, performing a finisher can also benefit you should you avoid being eliminated while in the animation. If you have a Legendary-tier Shield and perform a finishing move, you will receive a full shield recharge. This could be a way of Respawn paying back the players who offer themselves up as sitting ducks for a finisher but it’s definitely something that will aid you in-game. 5. Mastering the Legends Similar to performing a finisher, setting off an ultimate or tactical ability can lead to a few seconds where you can get locked into an animation and waste valuable time. For example, if you play as Bloodhound and activate the character’s ultimate while zip-lining, you won’t run into the wind-up animation. Instead, players will jump right into the ability immediately and save themselves a few seconds. On the other hand, you can combine the tactical abilities of Bangalore – Dome of Protection – with Lifeline’s Drone to create a moving dome. This may take some time to line up and perfect but it’s very useful. Finally, for any Overwatch players that play as Pathfinder – you can use the Legends hook to pull yourself towards an enemy before jumping on them with a melee attack or gun similar to Roadhog’s ability. Now, there are still plenty of things that go into becoming an Apex Legends champion – especially getting the luck of RNG on your side with loot. Yet, mastering a few tip and tricks that may even be unknown to players who have played the game since launch day will give you an added edge.

Contents Tips to getting better at Apex Legends – How to get better at Apex Legends: Tips & tricks Master one Legend, don’t be a jack-of-all-trades Whether you’re taking to the skies as Valkyrie or carefully tracking your prey as Bloodhound, it’s important to choose a main and get as many reps in as possible with them. Having a deep pool of characters can benefit your understanding of the game at the highest levels, but until you’re comfortable with one character in every possible situation, then it’s best to invest your time more carefully. Of course, things happen in Legend select that we can’t avoid, so it’s okay to have a backup, but concentrated and repeatable practice will always produce better results in the long run. Improve your positioning When it’s time for The Ring to close and players begin to make their way inward, a huge skill gap can be nearly completely negated by a team with superior positioning. By making choices like never taking fights until your backside is completely cleared of enemies or knowing when to take high ground in a given area, teams that aren’t as mechanically talented can still take over and win games. Before blindly rotating into an area, open your map and look for places that keep you secure from potential third-parties at the very least. Just making this change can result in a major jump in the quality of someone’s gameplay. Apex Legends TikToker reveals 3 spots on Storm Point for easy kills – Dexerto
Apex Legends TikToker reveals 3 spots on Storm Point for easy kills Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Storm Point map has a number of locations on it that TikTokers are raving about and they’re calling them “rat spots”. The new map was released as part of the Season 11 update on November 2, building upon the game’s already fine selection, which includes Kings Canyon, Olympus, and World’s Edge. As the battlefield is not fresh off the press anymore, it can be difficult for members of the community to find hiding spots that people don’t know about. Flying under the radar might not be for everyone, but if there are some places you can hide to get more kills, players will always be interested. Over on TikTok, a few clips have gone viral showing you where to go – and you won’t want to miss them. Apex Legends best hiding spots on Storm Point Popular TikTok creator goldec is known in the Apex community for producing viral videos. After churning out videos varying between a couple of thousand views to others eclipsing 1 million, his latest ‘rat spots’ series might be the most helpful yet – collecting popular spots found on Reddit. So, let’s dive into three of the best spots found on Storm Point… 1. Command Center – Use the rocks! The first one on the list is right outside the Command Center. After climbing up on the rocks nearby, there’s a good chance you could take out a few players from the multiple vantage points available. 2. Command Center – The vents There are a few different vent ‘rat spot’ opportunities at the Command Center. Go to the top, and by using Ash’s ultimate ability, you can teleport inside the vents. Players coming down or flying up the zipline won’t have a clue you’re even there! 3. Barometer – Secret room There’s a secret room located near the Barometer point of interest, as seen in the video below. There is one danger, though, and that’s the issue of potentially being shot through a crack in a wall, but you will be able to get inside it by using Loba’s bracelet. So, that’s everything you need to know to find – and take advantage of – rat spots right across the Storm Point map. You’re going to need specific Legends for each of these tricks, though, so do keep that in mind. Until next time, go get yourself some sneaky kills!

Apex Legends TikTok shows how to use select fire on Prowler & Havoc – Dexerto
Apex Legends TikTok shows how to use select fire on Prowler & Havoc Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment appears to have let a genius trick fly under the radar in Apex Legends Season 10, as a viral TikTok clip shows how players can still use select fire on both the Prowler and Havoc. Members of the game’s community have been trying out all of the new content since S10 launched, from its Legend Seer to the new Hop-Up, the Boosted Loader. In terms of the weaapon pool, some players have been wanting to see the return of the single-fire Havoc for quite some time, and on August 2 a trick did emerge that allowed you to do that. Now, a solid month into the season, a similar technique has been found for the Prowler, enabling select fire. The Apex Legends community is always growing on social media, and on TikTok especially people have been sharing their top tips and tricks. Read More: When is the Apex Legends Halloween event? – Some have gone viral, too, and this easy trick is no exception. Posted by user RossBobSquirrel, a video that’s racked up almost one million views walks you through the process. How to get select fire for the Prowler & Havoc Drop into Apex Legends. – Pick up a Havoc or Prowler from floor loot or in a loot bin. – Locate the nearest Care Package. – Take a Triple Take from a Care Package, and drop the weapon you want to become select fire. – Turn off the Triple Take’s choke. – Turn on the Triple Take choke as you’re rotating it for the Havoc or Prowler on the ground. – Pick up your gun and, if timed correctly, it will now have select fire. – If the TikTok doesn’t load below, click here. Apex Legends tip One last thing to note about this trick is that it gives the Prowler full auto, and the Havoc single-fire. The effect of the strategy will reverse itself, however, if you equip attachments found in ground loot or in loot bins. Basically, the workaround for that – according to the TikToker – is to have the desired attachments already in your inventory to equip them after it’s done.

Apex Legends TikTok shows how many enemies Wattson can counter – Dexerto
Apex Legends TikTok shows how many enemies Wattson can counter Respawn EntertainmentWattson is one of Apex Legends’ most shutdown characters, and one TikToker shows just how far her ultimate can go in countering enemies. Apex Legends continues to stand as one of the premier battle royale games in the genre, alongside Warzone and Fortnite. Much of the reason for this is the game’s unique Legends, each outfitted with their own abilities and ultimate to produce new and fresh games each time you load in. Wattson is one of these characters, and as a TikTok user shows us, there’s just about nothing the defensive Legend can’t counter with her Interception Pylon. Wattson’s ultimate can counter just about anything Wattson’s ultimate ability, Interception Pylon, is a defensive ultimate specifically meant to counter incoming ordinances and repair characters’ shields who are standing near it. But is there a limit to how much the powerful pylon can shut down? One TikTok user put it to the test. User hisandherslive posted a video showing what it would look like if 20 Gibraltors, 20 Fuses, and 20 Banglores all fired their ultimates into an active Wattson ult. The proceeding explosion-filled firework show was wild, filling up the sky with smoke streams and doing massive amounts of damage. But, what happened to Wattson? Wattson’s ultimate proved to do just as its intended, as the video shows the pylon eliminating every last threat that entered the zone in a flurry of electrical currents. It’s equally as impressive from Wattson’s point of view, seen towards the end of the video, where she’s simply able to stare up at the hellfire totally unscathed. This all goes to show just how powerful a Wattson can be when trying to finish out a round or when caught in a building with surrounding enemies. While you’re never going to be faced with 60 ultimates crashing down at once, at least there’s some peace of mind that her pylon can’t fail when undamaged!

Apex Legends TikTok shows how Caustic can get inside Replicators – Dexerto
Apex Legends TikTok shows how Caustic can get inside Replicators Respawn EntertainmentCaustic has a secret ability that Apex Legends players can use in-game… He can enter Replicators through a secret hatch. Now, the character’s mains will already be aware of his actual abilities and ultimate in-game, from Nox Gas Trap to his Nox Gas Grenade. Each of them, in their own right, can be deadly when used on an enemy. That said, he’s added another string to his bow due to a strange bug players have found. Respawn Entertainment work tirelessly to patch out as many glitches as they can, some of which are game-breaking and others are just fun to do. This one definitely falls in the latter category, fortunately. With just a few clicks, the Toxic Trapper can step inside any of the many Replicators located around the map. How to get inside Apex Legends Replicators As regular players will be aware, Replicators are usually used to buy ammo, make improvements to armor, attachments, and other upgrades. However, this trick turns it into the ultimate hiding place. If you would like to get inside a Replicator in Apex Legends, follow these instructions: Drop into Apex Legends. – Land at a Replicator location on the map. – Place a Nox Gas Trap right next to one of the monitors. – Enter the Replicator. – Leave it immediately. – Crouch and move forward, sliding inside the Replicator. – Apex Legends TikTok: Watch Caustic enter a Replicator This is certainly an element of gameplay that is unintentional and, in truth, it’s not a very useful thing to do either. Read More: Who is Ash in Apex Legends? Season 11 Legend – While you might be able to get inside the Replicator, you cannot actually escape once you’re locked inside the small structure. As seen in the short clip from goldec, it’s really not too difficult to get inside one of these metal chambers with Caustic. Whether or not you see any benefit in doing so, however, is your choice – not ours.

Viral Apex Legends TikTok shows how Rampart’s ult can get infinite ammo – Dexerto
Viral Apex Legends TikTok shows how Rampart’s ult can get infinite ammo Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends tip from TikTok is showing players how to get the most out of Rampart’s Sheila machine gun with a bug that gives her infinite ammo. Rampart has been benefiting a lot from her Apex Legends Evolution Collection buff, with plenty of players opting to try out the Amped Modder in Season 10. Changes to her ultimate have gone really well, as popular streamers like iiTzTimmy are baffled by Rampart’s power after the patch. But not everything has been going swimmingly in Apex since the Evo Collection update, with server issues and game crashes showing up quite frequently – even forcing Respawn Entertainment to address the problems. There could be one more issue for the company to resolve after a TikTok user who goes by ‘RossBobSquirrel’ showed how to get infinite use out of Rampart’s ult Sheila. “You can have infinite ammo while Sheila while mobile,” they said. “After emptying your entire magazine of Sheila while mobile, hit the melee button. “Your ammo will now start to go back up. Pull out the mobile version of Sheila again, you can do this as many times as you want.” With the latest changes to Sheila, Rampart can now unmount the machine gun to make it a mobile nightmare. But with the latest bug, there’s no limit to how much you can use the ult after activating it. Like you can see in the clip, after expending everything Sheila’s got, you can still get away with some more time with the machine gun by activating the glitch. As Respawn get cracking on multiple bug fixes for Apex, this exploit might be something they look into once they become aware of it. Even without the infinite ammo glitch, Rampart’s been on the rise in Apex Legends as more players are starting to see how viable she can be in a squad.

Apex Legends TikTok shows how to pull off “hardest” Pathfinder grapple – Dexerto
Apex Legends TikTok shows how to pull off “hardest” Pathfinder grapple Respawn EntertainmentThere’s a few different ways to get the most out of Pathfinder’s mobility and a viral TikTok shows how to master the “hardest” one to pull off: the underhand grapple. Even with all of the nerfs to his kit, Pathfinder is still a popular pick for Apex Legends players for all the maneuverability that the Forward Scout can provide. From giving entire squads instant rotation with his ult to finessing opponents in 1v1s, Pathy can be really useful. No tool in his kit is more useful than the Grapple Hook, since there are techniques you can pull off that will give you massive distance or complete control over a fight. TikToker ‘charliegoodtimess’ gave his audience a look at how to pull off one of the “hardest” grapples to consistently hit, which can help you dominate as Pathfinder. “This is the hardest grapple to hit consistently,” he explained. “You see this blue reticle? Look at the top of an object. As soon as it’s not blue anymore that is our cue to go ahead and grab it. As soon as the grapple hits, you jump.” In application, this technique can give someone instant air and, if they want to loop around, a quick way to flank a nearby opponent. As you can see, pulling off the jump gives a ton of options to pursue depending on the scenario players find themselves in, but Charlie advises you put in a good amount of practice before pulling it out on stream or in Ranked. For Pathfinders who are fighting on the ground or in need of a quick escape, this tool can give you the distance and mobility you’ll need to make a sick outplay or ditch a bad situation. There’s plenty of other Pathfinder grapples to learn in Apex Legends, and getting familiar with as many as possible can help players unlock the Legend’s full potential.

Apex Legends ‘tiki’ Season 13 summer event: Leaks & rumors – Dexerto
Apex Legends ‘tiki’ Season 13 summer event: Leaks & rumors Respawn EntertainmentA new set of Apex Legends leaks appear to hint at a beach-themed Summer event arriving at some point in Season 13. Now Season 13 has arrived in Apex Legends and players are finally getting to grips with Newcastle’s powerful kit, the community’s attention has shifted to the next batch of content. Although there have been leaks surrounding Valkyrie’s spear Heirloom, very little information has been unveiled about any upcoming events. Well, that was until now, with dataminers finding lines of code in the game files that indicate Respawn is planning to host a Summer or beach-themed event, which would make sense heading into June and July. Apex Legends beach-themed Summer event leaked Although charms do not have the best reputation in the Apex community, they’re incredibly useful for indicating the theme of an event when they’re uncovered in the game’s files. Well, thanks to dataminer HYPERMYST who originally found the leak, and YouTuber Garret for showcasing the charms, we now know that Respawn appears to be planning a Summer-themed event. A set of beach-themed “tiki” charms for Bloodhound, Pathfinder, and Valkyrie were all found in the game files, and that usually means they’re tied to a larger update. Despite this, it’s hard to know whether this is just a store event, or potentially the upcoming Collection Event that may feature Valkyrie’s Heirloom. As mentioned by Garret, every July Respawn hosts a Summer of Plunder store event that includes the sale of limited-time bundles and skins. While the community would no doubt enjoy the chance to pick up a few beach-themed skins, a lot of players will be hoping the Summer designs tie into the upcoming Collection Event. No doubt more information will be leaked in the near future, so we’ll keep this article updated with everything we know about the Season 13 Summer event.

Apex Legends Tier List – Which Legends characters are best to use and why – Dexerto
Apex Legends Tier List – Which Legends characters are best to use and why With a full slate of characters to choose from in Apex Legends, it might be a bit hard figuring out which ones are the best. But with this comprehensive tier list, you’ll have no problems picking the right legend for every game. One of the biggest things that sets Apex Legends apart from other battle royales is the unique ‘Legends’ that players step into the shoes of in each game. Rather than simply wearing your favorite skin like in Fortnite Battle Royale or Blackout, each character in Apex Legends has special abilities that players must utilize to achieve victory. Octane was released at the start of Season 1 and shaken things up a bit! As with any game featuring characters with abilities, certain ones will be inherently better than others. The game has now been out for over three weeks, giving players plenty of time to test out all of the Legends and decide which stand above the rest as the best in the game. Alongside that, fans have also been taking a look at the hitboxes in Apex Legends, and figured out that some characters like Wraith have a much smaller hitbox than others, leading to immense frustration among the community who realize that picking a certain legend can actually put you at a disadvantage. ‘S’ Tier Lifeline Lifeline is the perfect character for the team-oriented flow of Apex Legends. Given Apex Legends’ heavy reliance on squad play, Lifeline is easily the most important Legend in the game. Her Tactical Ability, D.O.C. Heal Drone, allows her to call in a drone that will heal nearby teammates, eliminating the need to use precious healing items to restore your health. When it is time to use your healing items, her passive, Combat Medic, allows her to use them 25% faster. If you’re in need of defensive gear, her Care Package Ultimate will give you a drop pod full of them. With so much utility, Lifeline is an essential piece to victory and will slot well into just about any team composition in Apex Legends. Wraith Wraith can easily move in and out of any fight in Apex Legends. Wraith is perfect for those looking to easily weave in and out of battle. Her Tactical Ability, Into the Void, allows her to use the ‘void space’ to become invulnerable to all damage, perfectly allowing her to reposition mid-fight. If you want to get your entire team out of a sticky situation in the middle of battle or even outrunning the Ring, her Dimensional Rift ultimate creates a portal that stays open for 60 seconds. Not only is Wraith powerful, but the fact that she has the smallest hitbox in the game makes her extremely difficult to hit, meaning you should be able to avoid damage with some clever movement. There might not be as much overall utility here as someone like Lifeline or Bangalore, but her offensive capabilities are some of the best in the game. It doesn’t hurt that her heirloom looks amazing, either. ‘A’ Tier Octane Octane can make incredible plays out of no where. Apex players were hyped when leaks for Octane were hitting the internet, but they might not have been prepared for what the Legend would really hold for the battle royale. The Adrenaline Junkie is already making his mark on King’s Canyon, with a kit that let’s players essentially create something out of nothing in the blink of an eye. Octane has a passive called Swift Mend that restores health over time, but he desperately needs it since his Stim ability actually drains a portion of his health for a 30% increase in move speed for six seconds. In tandem with his Ultimate, Launch Pad, Octane can provide huge play-making potential while giving his squad an immensely useful tool for either repositioning in an engagement or making a quick rotate. Bangalore Bangalore can helps teams get out of sticky situations with ease. Speaking of Bangalore, she brings a ton to the table with her strong set of abilities. If you need some cover to heal up mid-battle, her Smoke Launcher will give you a wall of smoke that will allow your team a much-needed breather. While you’re in the smoke, you can easily fire off her Ultimate, Rolling Thunder, to give even more cover in the form of an artillery strike. Finally, her passive, Double Time, gives you a movement boost while taking fire, which is perfect for getting yourself out of some heated situations. ‘B’ Tier Pathfinder Pathfinder is only good for a fancy play every now and then. While some might feel that this Legend doesn’t always fit in with the team aspect of the game, there’s simply no denying the immense utility of his kit. Sure, his Grappling Hook can make for a flashy play mid-fight, but it’s also good for quickly getting a new vantage point for fights, allowing him to get plenty of new intel for his teammates. It’s true that it doesn’t do much for his teammates in the same way as other Legends’ abilities do, but it’s still quite useful. His Zipline, on the other hand, does help his team in a big way. Ziplines give teams the ability to rotate easily in the final circles and, more importantly, allow you to take the high-ground and get a massive advantage over your enemies. Finally, his Passive, Insider Knowledge, reveals the location of the next ring, which makes it much easier to plan rotations for the late game. Knowing how far you’ll have to move for the next ring allows teams to figure out if they want to commit to engagements or whether to peel off and run. There are certainly other Legends that give more benefits mid-fight, but Pathfinder is still a good choice for just about any team. Bloodhound Bloodhound can give teams a real advantage when heading into fights. For those looking to get aggressive with their play in Apex Legends, Bloodhound is one of the best options around. Their kit revolves around tracking and revealing the whereabouts of enemies, which can give a distinct advantage in battle. The Tactical Ability, Eye of the Allfather, will reveal hidden enemies or traps to give clues about how best to approach fights; the Passive ability, Tracker, will reveal tracks left behind by enemies; and the Ultimate, Beast of the Hunt, enhances your senses so you can move faster while also highlighting enemies. Of course, these are only good for locating enemies, but once you get into a fight, there isn’t much utility here outside of highlighting enemies with their Ultimate. As such, Bloodhound is a strong, but highly situational Legend choice. Mirage Mirage has the potential to confuse enemy teams with his many decoy options. As one of the two characters that have to be unlocked using Apex Coins or Legends Tokens, many players likely haven’t tried out Mirage. Once he’s available, though, his strengths can be easily seen. All of his abilities are focused around using decoys, which can easily distract enemies and give you a chance for a perfect counterattack. Whether you manually send out one with Psyche Out, automatically send out one when downed with Encore!, or send out a whole team of them with Vanishing Act, there are plenty of options at players’ disposal here. Mirage’s abilities might be situational, but he’s still a solid pick for those who have him at their disposal. ‘C’ Tier‘ Gibraltar Gibraltar is perfect for all the Winston mains out there. Players looking for a true tank in Apex Legends will be pleased to find Gibraltar. While it may not have all-around utility like some of the above heroes, there might still be room for him in some squads. He can protect himself while shooting with his Gun Shield, protecting his team with his Dome of Protection that calls in a massive dome much like Winston in Overwatch, and can also lay down cover fire with his Defensive Bombardment mortar strike. At the end of the day, though, he simply doesn’t bring enough to the table to justify including over some of the more powerful options on the Legends roster.. Caustic Caustic can easily zone out enemies if used in the right way. Poor, Caustic. In comparison to other Legends, he just doesn’t hold up and give his team enough utility in most situations. As the name suggests, Caustic all about using gas to choke out his enemies and that’s where he ends up becoming a bit of a liability. His Ultimate, Nox Gas Grenade, is by far the most important piece of his arsenal, as it will blanket a large area with Nox gas that both slows down and damages the enemy. If thrown into a building, enemy squads will be forced to rush out into enemy fire to avoid dying to it. His Tactical, Nox Gas Trap, can actually be used to set up a perimeter that protects the team and alerts them when enemies are on the way. Due to the situational nature of these abilities, though, he just can’t stand up to others. The situation has to be almost perfect for him to be useful. Not only that, but if you have a Caustic and happen to run into an enemy Caustic, the dueling gas clouds can be quite confusing and lead to hesitation in fights.

Apex Legends throwback event sparks calls to copy popular Fortnite LTM – Dexerto
Apex Legends throwback event sparks calls to copy popular Fortnite LTM Respawn/Epic GamesApex Legends players want Respawn Entertainment to take inspiration from Fortnite’s popular Unvaulted LTM and bring it to their battle royale with some massive throwbacks. With Fortnite, Epic Games didn’t just set the standard for battle royale games, but they continued to raise it with each new season and massive update. Everything that has come after can’t avoid a comparison. Of course, Respawn have blazed a trail as well with Apex Legends, given it is a unique take on the battle royale genre itself with abilities and set characters. The pair have taken inspiration from each other too with different features like the vaults and respawn beacons, but now fans want Respawn to follow a popular Fortnite LTM. With Respawn bringing back the classic Kings Canyon map and all that Skull Town goodness, players want to go a step further and bring back classic hop-ups like Hammerpoint and Disruptor rounds.

Apex Legends: Throw off opponents with “momentum shift” movement trick – Dexerto
Apex Legends: Throw off opponents with “momentum shift” movement trick Respawn EntertainmentHouston Outlaws streamer Lucas ‘Mendo’ Håkansson explained how to pull off the “momentum shift” movement technique in Apex Legends. Mendo is a former Overwatch League pro turned full-time streamer who’s established himself as one of the best players in Apex Legends since the game’s release. Mendo has won multiple tournaments, and currently holds the world record for the most solo kills in a single game. As well as his incredible aim, Mendo is also known for getting the most out of the game’s mechanics with a variety of tricks and techniques to maximize every advantage he can find. Movement is a huge part of Apex, and in a recent video Mendo explained a powerful technique for maintaining speed and momentum while suddenly changing direction in the middle of a jump. The “momentum shift” technique allows players to turn very sharply in mid-air while maintaining the momentum from a slide-boosted jump. It’s a powerful tool to have in your arsenal for making the most of the game’s movement, be it for going on the offense or trying to escape pursuing enemies. The technique works by timing the use of the directional movement keys – a, s, and d – with a movement of the camera in the opposite direction in the middle of a jump, as Mendo demonstrates. When executed correctly, the technique enables players to pull off a 90 degree turn in mid-air without losing momentum. [Momentum shift explanation begins at 1:33 for mobile viewers] The technique is perfect for catching enemies off-guard as it makes tracking your movement significantly harder, with your trajectory changing suddenly mid-flight. This is particularly powerful in a game that includes bullet travel time and therefore requires players to lead their shots in order to hit moving targets. Apex Legends players are currently awaiting the release of Season Two, which many fans hope will reinvigorate the game following an underwhelming first season. Respawn are due to reveal details for the next season during E3 2019 on June 7.

Apex Legends: This handy Wraith portal trick could help you secure victory – Dexerto
Apex Legends: This handy Wraith portal trick could help you secure victory Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players are always looking for ways to be a step ahead of the pack in Kings Canyon and this new Wraith portal trick could do just that. The new battle royale title, which was released with much fanfare on February 4, has surged in popularity ever since with many players intrigued about the functionalities of each character. There are eight Legends in the game right now, but only one of them can travel between voids in close quarter combat and that’s Wraith. While that is one of the legend’s standard moves in Apex Legends, a recent post to the game’s subreddit from darkdonu12 shows how entering the void before jumping into a portal can potentially bamboozle your opponents. In the clip below, the player uses the void and rushes towards the portal. For those that aren’t aware, Wraith can’t enter the portal if they’re inside the void – and that’s part of the trick. That won’t stop other players from thinking that they should jump inside the portal right behind you. When they realize that you’ve not travelled through the portal with them, there’s a chance that they will head back to come find you where you could have a clear shot at point blank range. Of course, this tactic won’t work every time but it could definitely be worth a try in tight situations. Do remember that entering the void while intending to use a portal will not work, though.

Apex Legends dev responds as third-person easter egg is removed – Dexerto
Apex Legends dev responds as third-person easter egg is removed Electronic ArtsApex Legends players have noticed that the limited third-person mode is no longer accessible in the game’s firing range; a developer has since responded to the mode’s surprise removal. The third-person mode has been a staple of the Apex experience for quite some time. Respawn once removed the feature for a brief period of time due to an error, but it returned before long to the delight of many a player. Typically, players activate the mode in firing range by visiting one of the map’s far corners, crouching before a specific bush, then switching characters. It’s a rather simple process, one players like to rely on when wanting to enjoy the game from a different perspective. For some reason, though, enabling third-person is no longer possible. Dev responds to absence of third-person in Apex Legends While trying to activate the third-person mode, Twitter user and Apex player Iuwba noticed the game wouldn’t allow for such a change. The user made note of the issue in a brief Twitter post, complete with footage of the failed attempt. Gameplay Programmer Ian Holstead quickly responded to the tweet, telling fans it “isn’t an intentional change.” “…I’ll see if I can find what caused it and get it fixed. I know it’s important to people,” the developer added. It seems that not even developers are fully aware of what may have disrupted Apex Legends’ third-person easter egg. When a proper fix will be implemented presently remains unknown. Hopefully, the changes will come sooner rather than later. While the different camera view once popped up in a Season 3 LTM, it’s yet to make its way to regular modes long-term. It’s unclear if Respawn ever means to change as much.

Apex Legends: Detailed theory suggests brand new planet – Dexerto
Apex Legends: Detailed theory suggests brand new planet RespawnEarlier this month, Apex Legends introduced us to the new playable champion Crypto, and players soon spotted him in a secret area on the map. But one fan has an insane theory that Crypto will be bringing the Legends to a whole nother map on a frozen world. In the Stories from the Outland episode “Forever Family”, we are introduced to Park Tae Joon, aka Crypto. He abandons his identity and is trying to find his sister, kidnapped by the Syndicate after the siblings discover a prediction algorithm for the Apex competition. He’s been spotted in game in a secret lab that you have to find by kicking open a door, hacking into a computer. He takes off as soon as you spot him. And one fan on reddit suspects that Crypto’s plans are far more impactful than we may realize. In a post titled “Tinfoil theory: Crypto is taking us to a new Apex map, set on the cold and snowy world of Psamanthe”, reddit user the-mortyest-morty lays out a theory that a new frozen map will be introduced due to Crypto. Their theory is based on the default skins of certain Legends, and what Crypto is looking at when he gets caught by the player hacking. “Every single character now has at least 3 Legendary skins minimum, that are appropriate for winter wear.” “The only characters showing any amount of skin in their default outfit are Lifeline and Octane, both natives from Psamanthe. It makes sense they’re both wearing sleeveless shirts with part of their torsos exposed, because they’re undoubtedly already struggling to adjust to Solace’s unrelenting sun and heat. The-mortyest-morty then gets to the meat and potatoes of his theory: “I also believe the Titanfall Repulsor tower that we haven’t yet seen in Apex, but saw displayed on the “World’s Edge” screen with the coordinates and stuff that Crypto’s messing with in Singh Labs. I think he’s hacking that portal to take the dropship to Psamanthe, where that Repulsor is presumably located.” Their theory is that the season 3 name Meltdown is a reference to literally melting ice. They reference the clues that showed up on the Apex Legends website the other day that relate directly to this. Read more: Apex Legends: Lava and ice map changes teased for Season 3 Meltdown – While those clues initially led fans to believe that the map was going to be drastically changed, the-mortyest-morty is going one step further and suggesting that players will be heading to a new frozen map altogether.

Apex Legends theory potentially unearths new “Legend Heirloom skins” – Dexerto
Apex Legends theory potentially unearths new “Legend Heirloom skins” Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Heirlooms are the most elusive items in the game but as time goes on, more and more players will eventually accrue enough shards to pick a couple up. But, what if there were Heirloom skins as well? Heirlooms are ultra-rare cosmetic items that can be held by Legends when their weapons are holstered. These range from Octane’s Butterfly Knife to Gibraltar’s War Club, with 10 being available to pick up. However, the future of these collectibles could look very different from how they were initially implemented. Respawn Entertainment is always looking for new content ideas to integrate, and a new theory – put together carefully by YouTuber Thordan Smash – has unearthed clues that could amount to a new rarity of Legends skins coming in the future. Apex Legends Heirloom skins coming? As seen in a video, posted on January 18, the content creator has been piecing together possible evidence to support this theory since October 2020. Reeling off a number of rumors, messages, and tweets from the past, including a comment from leaker Biast12 who says: “It’s actually kinda funny because specific Heirloom aren’t using textures for the color. Pretty sure it’s coded.” Using a wheel, these could be changed easily, they said. Many other people in the video claimed that these proposed Heirloom Legend skins would be a new rarity of Legend skin, above Legendary. The YouTuber speculates about these being purchasable in-game, earned through events, or even seeing these skins change over time. Thordan points towards datamined information from another leaker – Shrugtal – citing the possibility that these skins may “evolve” in Apex Legends. Clip below from Thordan Smash breaks down the theory… In December 2021, Shrugtal followed up by claiming the Bloodhound Pilot skin had three different levels of rarity, with one higher than the current offering. A number of codenames and ideas found in the game’s files have never seen the light of day, and there is a chance that these alleged Legend Heirloom skins will fall into that category in the future. That being said, the theory will be good food for thought as Season 12 approaches this February.

Apex Legends theory explains why Kings Canyon has limited loot – Dexerto
Apex Legends theory explains why Kings Canyon has limited loot RespawnAn Apex Legends player has explained why Kings Canyon seemingly has limited loot compared to when fans were dropping into the original map back in season one. With the start of Apex Legends season four, Respawn Entertainment finally introduced Revenant to the Apex Games and dropped a handful of map changes to World’s Edge. Though, one of the other big things that got fans excited was the return of Kings Canyon in its original form. The first map that the popular battle royale title used was confirmed as returning as a part of the new ranked splits – where players would play both World’s Edge and Kings Canyon. Though, it was introduced ahead of time in unranked matches for a limited time. However, the much-loved map has faced some criticism about its loot and not being as enjoyable as its replacement. In the face of those complaints, some fans have defended the classic map, with Reddit user Ozqo giving some analysis on why the map seemingly has limited loot compared to World’s Edge. They explained that when fans first entered Kings Canyon, they would usually just need a Wingman to wreak havoc on enemy players and because you didn’t need a tonne of ammo, you never felt like you were running low. However, new things have been added that impacts the loot pool. “This is the first time we’re seeing sniper ammo on Kings Canyon. Those sniper ammo stacks and extended mags are taking up spots that could’ve otherwise gone to more useful items – this puts additional strain on the loot,” the Redditor noted. Ozqo also claimed that the map “isn’t really ‘season 1′ Kings Canyon given the differences in how loot works,” though the locations on the map might be the exact same. Whether or not Respawn takes the feedback on board for when Kings Canyon returns as a ranked mode map remains to be seen, but it appears as if fans would like to see some tweaks.

Apex Legends theory claims you can reset “sweaty” matchmaking & SBMM – Dexerto
Apex Legends theory claims you can reset “sweaty” matchmaking & SBMM Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends YouTuber The Gaming Merchant has a theory on how to reset your matchmaking and get placed into less “sweaty” lobbies. Over the last few seasons, a frequent complaint from the Apex Legends community has been the state of matchmaking and the skill disparity between competitors in matches. This problem has only been amplified by the Season 13 Ranked Reloaded rework, which has led to low-level players being matched up against Diamonds, Masters, and Predators, making it almost impossible for them to win. Although there’s hope that Respawn will address this issue in the Season 14 update arriving in August, it’s difficult to know what to do in the meantime if you’re being placed into countless high-level lobbies. Well, The Gaming Merchant has a theory on how to temporarily reset your SBMM and while it hasn’t been confirmed by the devs, it’s definitely worth a try. How to reset your SBMM & matchmaking in Apex Legends Realizing how “sweaty” and unbalanced the matchmaking has been in Season 13, The Gaming Merchant decided to conduct some research on SBMM to figure out how it works. They found the matchmaking system seems to evaluate your skill on a match-by-match basis and place you in lobbies of varying skill levels in an attempt to give you a “challenge”. Unfortunately, over long play sessions, The Gaming Merchant believes the system continues to place you into harder matches until every competitor in your lobby is significantly above your skill level. As a result, they’ve recommended that if you’re facing an endless streak of difficult games, it’s worth quitting Apex and coming back later. Based on their experience, this seems to perform some kind of a soft reset, however, it’s certainly not a long-term solution to the issue. It’s worth noting that The Gaming Merchant has made it very clear that this has not been confirmed by the devs, so don’t expect it to work every time. There’s always a possibility it’s just a coincidence and there’s no way to reset matchmaking in Apex, but it’s certainly worth a try if you’re desperate. Let’s hope the devs can implement a fix in the upcoming Season 14 update, as it’s a problems that seems to be getting worse and worse.

Apex Legends: The season three map hint you may have missed – Dexerto
Apex Legends: The season three map hint you may have missed RespawnApex Legends season three and if you weren’t looking for it, you may have missed another tease about a new map. With season two drawing to a close, Apex Legends fans are gearing up for the game’s next highly-anticipated major update that looks set to finally add ‘Crypto’ as a playable legend. The unreleased character has been teased for quite some time, with leaks extending back to season one with his name being mentioned. However, it isn’t just an addition to the roster that’s being unveiled in season three, as fans have been deciphering hints about a possible new map that would give the game an icy background instead of the Kings Canyon setting that they have come to know and love. Those hints have only been added to with the unveiling of the game’s latest tease, an Instagram post that included a ship flying through the night’s sky and battling some difficult weather. While the image was posted to Twitter and captioned with some funky hacking text and clearly hinted at the new Legend, any eagle-eyed fans who took a closer look at developer’s Instagram would have noticed that their image appeared to reveal snow or rain-like weather – another hint at the apparent Psamathe setting. 600Anyone who been following the lore behind Apex Legends will recognize the name as having a part to play in the Titnafall universe as it’s the home planet of current legends Octane and Lifeline. The apparent first look at the setting was revealed thanks to the image of Lifeline scaling an ice wall that had volcanic veins just off in the background. Whether or not Apex Legends will be getting a new map or if the current map will fill with snow remains to be seen, but the ‘Meltdown’ name for season three seems to confirm a snowy setting. The third season of the battle royale title is set to get underway on October 1, 2019, pretty much as soon as season two ends, so we won’t have much longer to wait and see what Respawn has in-store.

Apex Legends thankfully removes annoying 2-hour map slots in Season 13 – Dexerto
Apex Legends thankfully removes annoying 2-hour map slots in Season 13 Respawn EntertainmentSessions of Apex Legends are about to become very varied as Respawn Entertainment have declared that the “2-hour” map rotation window has been abolished for Season 13, making players very happy about this announcement. One aspect that truly sets Apex Legends apart from most other battle royale experiences is its pool of different maps. Whereas Warzone offers Caldera and the smaller Rebirth Island, and Fortnite just has one island, Apex Legends has four fully-fledged maps to compete on. By having Kings Canyon, Storm Point, Olympus, and World’s Edge, Apex Legends’ gameplay is able to stay interesting. However, the devs traditionally keep maps rotating at set intervals which players have considered to be too long for a while now. This no longer looks to be an issue, though, as Respawn have confirmed this will be changing. Apex Season 13 to scrap map rotation blocks Previously, if a player hopped into Apex Legends at the beginning of a new map rotation slot, they would be able to enjoy whichever map was available, but that would be it for 2 hours until the game rotated to a different one. Even if there’s one you prefer more than the others, variety is the spice of life after all! So it’s been pleasing to many fans in the Season 13 patch notes to see that the devs have said this: “The map rotation for the season for Saviors will be Storm Point, Olympus, and World’s Edge. We’re also removing the longer 2-hour rotation block. We felt that could be too long considering it could span the whole play session for some people.” A post on the Apex subreddit was filled with plenty of joyous sentiments regarding the decision, with one player saying: “Omg I’m so excited for no more 2-hour map blocks,” and another adding: “A shorter duration sounds great.” With no new map due in Season 13, a healthy mix of existing maps not repeating themselves should serve players well. There’s no clear indication of how long the new gap between maps will be, if there even is one at all now. It will also give players different ways to try out new Legend Newcastle and mess around with the Season 13 buffs and nerfs to both Legends and weapons.

This Apex Legends technique makes the Peacekeeper ridiculously powerful – Dexerto
This Apex Legends technique makes the Peacekeeper ridiculously powerful An animation-cancelling technique in Apex Legends makes the already formidable Peacekeeper even more deadly. If you land every pellet with the Peacekeeper to the body – which is very manageable for almost any range you’d conceivably be using a shotgun at, as the weapon’s spread is quite tight even by default – you’ll do 110 damage per shot, making the Peacekeeper already one of the most powerful weapons in the game up close. The major drawback that should somewhat balance out the Peacekeeper is its fire-rate, which is the lowest of any in the game except for the rare, bolt-action Kraber .50-cal. By using an animation-cancelling technique, however, it’s possible to dramatically speed up the Peacekeeper’s fire rate. The animation-cancel can be accomplished by rapidly switching back and forth between the Peacekeeper and another weapon after each shot. In order for the cancel to work, however, the animation needs to have reached a certain point before the switch. Try to cancel it too early, and you’ll only cost yourself extra time as the Peacekeeper’s animation will restart once you switch back. If you get the technique just right, it appears the Peacekeeper’s rate of fire can be sped up by upwards of 50% beyond its default rate. Considering that a few well-aimed shots are enough to take down even a fully-shielded opponent, this increase makes the weapon significantly more deadly than it already was. With most of the weapons in Apex Legends being semi or fully automatic, animation-cancelling is unlikely to be necessary in most cases. If you’re looking to improve, however, it’s worth mastering the technique simply for use on the Peacekeeper, as doing so will give you a massive edge with a weapon that’s usually quite easy to find.

Apex Legends teases Season 8 Legend abilities in-game – Dexerto
Apex Legends teases Season 8 Legend abilities in-game Respawn Entertainment / u/MisterMnMssThe time has come for Apex Legends to begin dropping teasers for the new Legend, as we’re only weeks away from the launch of Season 8. Players have already found the new hints dropping (literally) on Kings Canyon. Like previous seasons, Respawn likes to drop some hints about the upcoming character, and specifically their abilities, in-game, so that everyone can jump on the hype train early. Last season, it was all about Horizon’s Gravity Lifts, which were placed sporadically around the map, and players could activate them after getting her access key from the Firing Range. This time, you won’t need to do any hunting, but will need to survive till the later rounds of a match to see the teaser. Season 8 Legend teaser: Bombs drop Kings Canyon returned to Apex on January 15, along with Mirage Voyage, and will be around for one week. Apex also released the first teaser on social media, all about Salvo. Read More: Rampart buffs confirmed for Season 8 – But the in-game teasers are what it’s all about, as we finally get to see what the new Legend will be capable of. Once you survive until the later rounds, random missiles will begin dropping from the sky. Check out this video of it in action. First look at the new teaser in action 🔥 (via @oktraoktra)pic.twitter.com/KcpEQmjDiy — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) January 16, 2021 They sit dormant until they are shot at – which will cause them to spontaneously combust, erupting the surrounding area in fire. Players have started to show the teaser in action on Reddit. How exactly this will work as a Legend ability remains to be seen. It could be like Bangalore or Gibraltar’s abilities, where they explode automatically, or perhaps players will need to shoot them to set them off. Who is the Season 8 Legend? That, we still don’t know. Respawn are unlikely to reveal them until much closer to the season launch, typically around one week before. If you don’t mind the spoilers, data miners have been trying their hardest to uncover who the Legend will be and their abilities. Although, it’s always worth remembering that Respawn have tried to fool data miners before – like with Forge. How they will fit into the lore is also unknown, but all signs point to them being from the planet Salvo, which has just reunited with the Syndicate – the group in charge of the Apex games.

Apex Legends teases potential new map Olympus: everything we know – Dexerto
Apex Legends teases potential new map Olympus: everything we know Respawn EntertainmentRespawn has dropped another major hint in the Broken Ghost finale that Apex Legends will be heading to floating city ‘Olympus’; here’s everything we know about the potential new battle royale map so far. Apex’s season five storyline “The Broken Ghost” came to an end on Wednesday, and what a stunning conclusion it was. Players finally finished building the artifact, which turned out to be Titanfall 2 villain Ash, risen from the dead. The simulacrum’s resurrection wasn’t the only massive twist Respawn delivered in their first story-telling outing in Apex Legends, however. The devs also dropped another bombshell; we could be heading to a new world soon. Players won’t just be heading to any planet either. The new world, which Lifeline mentioned in the last Broken Ghost quest, is Psamathe. The Apex Legends medic suggested the team “go to Olympus” — a city on that same planet — in the closing moments. They may do just that next season. Once is happenstance; players enjoyed the nice Titanfall 2 easter egg when they were told Lifeline and Octane were from Psamathe. Twice is a coincidence; Revenant’s ‘soul’ was sent to that same planet when Loba tried to destroy him in Season 5’s trailer. Three times, well that’s a pattern. Add to that the fact data miner Shrugtal found a UFO-like structure in the game files marked with “olympus” code strings, and littered with the cherry blossoms that grow on Psamathe, and it looks like Olympus will be the next Apex map. Here’s everything we know about the possible new map, including old Titanfall lore about the city, what the battlefield could be like, and more. Olympus, floating city in the clouds Olympus has already been established in Apex Legends lore as a floating city in the clouds — think Cloud City from Stars Wars: Empire Strikes Back. We’ve actually already seen the city itself too: it’s where Revenant killed Loba’s parents. There were a few snippets of the futuristic-looking planet in Loba’s “Legacy of a Thief” trailer as well. In that teaser, the sprawling city is littered with towering skyscrapers, layers of fog and smoke, and buildings as far as the eye can see. It’s possible Olympus is a fairly hostile city too. Lifeline and Octane seem quite apprehensive about a potential homecoming in the Broken Ghost cutscene. Loba is also seen living in the streets of the city as a jewel thief. The Legends could also just be nervous to return to Psamathe due to the evil business group the Syndicate. All the way back in Season 4, a Syndicate goon said he thought Psamathe was “the only safe place in the Outlands” besides Gaea. Will the Apex Games go to Olympus? Respawn has yet to officially comment on anything regarding Olympus. That means players only have the hints laced into the lore to go off. That said, when you combine all the teasers — which the devs love to make use of — and the data mining, it does add up. The idea of the Apex Games being held on Olympus seems awesome too. So far we’ve had a desert arena, and a ruined city battlefield. This next one would take fans into the heart of an industrial world, high above the ground. It’s just crazy enough that it might work. Apex already has plenty of ziplines and mobility built into the game. Respawn actually just started tweaking ziplines; could the devs have been preparing for some high-flying battles? Olympus could be for single-player missions The other possibility for these teasers is that Respawn is finally flexing their muscles when it comes to story-telling. They designed multiple single-player maps for Titanfall 2, and could have a similar plan for Apex too. Nothing has officially been confirmed yet, but as Apex’s sixth season rapidly approaches — it is expected to drop on Tuesday, August 18 — it certainly looks like we’ll be heading off-world for the second time in Apex Legends history. The other question is which new Legend will be added to the roster during the switch. While signs do point to Ash, it’s more likely going to be Rampart, especially considering his abilities have already been leaked by Shrugtal. Older characters from the Apex roster will also likely get a bit more time in the spotlight in Season 6, Respawn has confirmed. In particular, former IMC soldier Bangalore will be “front and center” in the next storyline, the devs have teased.

How to do Apex Legends Season 10 Legend teasers: Drone locations – Dexerto
How to do Apex Legends Season 10 Legend teasers: Drone locations Respawn EntertainmentRespawn are getting ready for their next character release in Apex Legends, evidenced by the latest in-game teasers. Here’s how you can complete the teasers. There’s been ample speculation of who the next character in Apex will be, and it seems as if we’re getting closer to finding out as Season 9 winds down. But the team at Respawn love to throw in teasers and easter eggs to build up anticipation or speculation, with this time being no different. Previously leaks gave us a clue on when to find these sort of in-game clues and they’re starting to pop up in the Arena. Apex Legends Season 10 Legend teasers How to get Bespoke Micro-Drone gun charm On July 17, a new in-game teaser popped up on Olympus and World’s Edge that is our first hint about the next character. You can also complete the Legend teaser on the Icarus. Horizon: “”Ooh, I think I know who built ye, seems like a nice lad.”” 🤔 (via @Ghostpxnts) pic.twitter.com/JHTj6LRR5k — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) July 17, 2021 Thanks to previous video teasers from Respawn’s ‘The Moth and the Flame,’ we got a background of what themes the next character is based on. You can find this drone in various spots around the map. Check out all the locations below: Furthermore, the banners in the background can also be seen changing to reflect what is believed to be the icons for the next legend’s abilities. Next Apex Legends character teasers While we have to be patient to see the next Apex teasers, we have a good idea of when to start hunting for them. A previous schedule of leaks for the upcoming teasers has one coming on July 18, and it might not be that much further before we get a full reveal. There should be a few more teasers for the game in the upcoming weeks, as we ramp up to Season 10 and the next character to land in the Apex Legends roster.

Apex Legends teasers could hint at next World’s Edge map update – Dexerto
Apex Legends teasers could hint at next World’s Edge map update Respawn Entertainment via FrozenFrohAs the current era of Apex Legends winds down, Respawn Entertainment is already looking ahead to the next phases of the game that could include an updated look to World’s Edge. People who completed the Broken Ghost quest line know that the devs have strongly suggested that the Apex Games would take a trip to Olympus on the plant Psamathe soon. But that hasn’t stopped Respawn from adding a few new elements to World’s Edge that are sending players for a loop. There have been multiple sightings of Hammond Robotics banners across the Arena, and it’s something to note since the last time we got these kinds of signs it resulted in the giant Harvester on the map. This time around, two different areas of the battlefield have been zoned for construction as it looks like they’ll soon be the site of new updates. Apex Loremaster ‘FrozenFroh’ plotted out these sites indicating that the aptly named Drill Suite and the eastern area of The Dome up for a change. Hammond is gonna destroy/build something in the South of Sorting Factory Looks like World’s Edge isn’t done yet! pic.twitter.com/ZPy2IQyGUA — David (@frozenfroh) July 27, 2020 A hologram at Drill Site has also been added; the same logo that ushered in the first Harvester is seen here again and could have a similar impact on the map. It remains unclear if this means those points of interest will have either Harvester-like structures or more buildings above and below ground. But people are skeptical that these changes are even going to come. There’s a bit of apprehension about accepting these as clear indications that there will be updates to World’s Edge in Season 6. A portion of the player base is expecting Respawn to perhaps lure the community again with clues to a World’s Edge update just to give people a new map in the upcoming season, similar to what they did with Forge and Revenant in Season 4. It’s well within Respawn’s track record of doing both: delivering a new Arena on Psamathe while continuing the story and development of the lava-filled tundra. The next major update for Apex Legends will have a ton of surprises for the community, which should explain what’s happening on World’s Edge.

Apex Legends teaser reveals potential first look Loba’s Season 5 storyline – Dexerto
Apex Legends teaser reveals potential first look Loba’s Season 5 storyline Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends fans have been given a first look at Season 5’s new storyline, thanks to a mysterious post from Respawn, and it looks like players are finally going to see the next chapter Loba’s quest for revenge. Last season, Apex players met deadly robo-assassin Revenant for the very first time. In his debut, he murdered potential new character Forge, before leaving a bloody first impression on fans in his bloodsoaked Season 4 reveal trailer. Revenant discovered his true identity, and took revenge on the men that had created him. His vengeance, however, left a survivor — a little girl. According to a host of theories, this girl has grown up to become Loba, Season 5’s new legend. Fans already know a lot about Loba, from her abilities, finishers, and even when she’ll finally appear in-game. In fact, most of what we know about Loba is related to her gameplay. What wasn’t as clear, however, was her backstory. Now it looks like Respawn is finally lifting the lid on what the Technological Tracker has been up to ahead of Apex Games debut: hunting down the man — or murder-robot if you prefer — that killed her father when she was a little girl. Loba searches for clues on how to kill Revenant The teaser, posted on the official @PlayApex account on April 28, has two elements. The first is text set out like folders. It suggests the information in the attached image was stolen from a Hammond Robotics “Project 617” email chain. The actual email we’ve seen before. It tells the story of two high-ranking Hammond officials terrified by the fact Revenant has gone rogue. What Apex players haven’t seen before are the post-it notes stuck to the computer terminal. 📁 PROJECT 617 > 📁 DOCUMENTS > 📁 EMAILS >> 📄 HAMMOND_SYND pic.twitter.com/Nn0RHEhYP8— Apex Legends (@PlayApex) April 28, 2020 There are three notes, each which appear to be thoughts scribble onto paper. One can only assume these are Loba’s hasty messages for herself. The left-most note draws attention to Revenant’s source code — a potential way to kill him. The second and third notes seem to back up this idea. Messages like “Security?” and “Can’t be stopped?” speak volumes about the writer — again, we can only assume this is Loba hot on Rev’s tail — wanting to shut the simulacrum down. Could Loba be introduced in a battle with Revenant? There’s been no confirmation Loba will be the legend arriving in Season 5, but at this point, it would be a pretty big shock. We’ve already seen basically everything there is to know about a character in the code. She should be on her way. This teaser suggests Loba, if she really is the young girl from the Assimilation trailer, is close to catching her father’s killer. In fact, she likely already knows he’s in the Apex Games, and is just making sure she can kill him when she arrives. For now, though, Apex fans will have to sit tight. Season 5’s arrival, originally slated for May 5, has now been bumped back to May 12. Planned teasers have been similarly delayed, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer for the next story clue.

New Apex Legends teaser includes Death Note and My Hero Academia – Dexerto
New Apex Legends teaser includes Death Note and My Hero Academia Studio Bones / Respawn EntertainmentRespawn’s latest teaser for Apex Legends could have huge implications for anime fans, seeing as the battle royale studio has included images for My Hero Academia and Death Note, among others. The main bit that Apex fans were focusing on was the statue of a Valkyrie on the table, which has been linked to an upcoming Legend in the game before. However, Respawn loves throwing their community for a loop and packed the single image with a lot more details to look at. That’s when people noticed the stacked shelves on the right side of the picture that had quite a few references to popular manga. After dissecting the image for all of its worth, Apex Legends fans are now wondering what it could mean for the future of the game. With Apex Legends’ release on the Nintendo Switch, Respawn Game Director, Chad Grenier, was excited to bring the batte royale to a totally new audience. Since the handheld Nintendo console is massive in Japan, Grenier said he hoped the Season 9 character would be a big favorite in the region. Now that Respawn have released images associated with Death Note, MHA’s All-Might, and Land of the Lustrous, there’s a chance the next character could be a big fan of manga. Moreover, if Respawn published imagery in reference to other licensed material on their official channel, then it’s hard not to get excited for any in-game items that could come out of a potential partnership. When the game came out on Steam, Respawn released unique gun charms from the Half-Life and Portal series, with many others leaked since. After the Switch port’s launch, Respawn released a limited-edition Pathfinder skin for Nintendo players. In fact, Grenier said that he hoped Respawn would “deliver unique content to Japan” in Apex. Hopeful fans, at this point, could only imagine that means there will be anime-themed content on the way, but that remains to be seen. Regardless, with Season 9 on the way, Apex Legends players should brace themselves for the content dump that Respawn supplies with every new chapter.

Apex Legends: Teaser for yet-to-be-announced Crypto Legend found on map – Dexerto
Apex Legends: Teaser for yet-to-be-announced Crypto Legend found on map Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends fans are eagerly anticipating the next era of the game which will be introducing tons of new content, but players are now finding clues for a heavily rumored character named Crypto. Respawn Entertainment are on the verge of launching Season 2 to their game which will be the rallying call for players to grind out more matches in King’s Canyon now that there’s content to rummage through including a new character named Wattson. As fans prepare for the upcoming trailer that is sure to reveal a lot more in-game features to come, the devs sneaked in a teaser for a surprise reveal that may be on its way to the battle royale soon. Crypto’s tease in Apex Legends In a Reddit thread, emerging Apex Legends dataminer and theory crafter ‘FrozenFroh’ showed a mysterious laptop around that could have something to do with the next season’s events. “The back is using Mendoko’s logo and the main screen is: *Enact Countermeasure Obfuscation* *PING RETURNED: (S/IN: A34X_N25)* *BRACH.INI OPERATIONAL: EXFIL IMMINENT*,” FrozenFroh said, then adding. “And an image of the repulsor is to the right.” While the laptop doesn’t seem to be much on the surface, the in-game file for that particular element has a blatant connection to the as-of-yet-unannounced legends simply being “crypto_laptop_tease.” Going by the clues on Crypto’s computer screen, it looks like the character will be causing a lot of mayhem before making an appearance on King’s Canyon. How does Crypto fit into Apex Legends? Respawn has been releasing a lot of teasers in the lead up to their new season that have been suggesting all’s been going well with the infrastructure of King’s Canyon. But going by what FrozenFroh has been theorizing, it seems like Crypto could quickly set loose the natural forces of Solace onto the map including its beasts. Using his expertise in hacking tech, FrozenFroh thinks that the upcoming legend is going to “jam the Repulsor” that has been protecting the map. After the system goes down, this will likely be when shear mayhem sweeps King’s Canyon to really open up the events of Season 2 or beyond. Whether Crypto will be released or even announced in Season 2 is still largely unknown, but it’s starting to be clear that he’ll clearly have an influence in Apex Legends soon.

Apex Legends dev teases “day and night” fix for Loba in Season 9 – Dexerto
Apex Legends dev teases “day and night” fix for Loba in Season 9 Respawn EntertainmentRespawn have been looking for a way of fixing Loba and her bracelet in Apex Legends, and one developer shared his excitement for the “day and night” progress that should be coming in Season 9. While every character in Apex Legends can give you the tools to be the Champion, Loba players have been suffering with the current state of her tactical ability, Burglar’s Best Friend. Though her passive and Black Market Boutique can help her and her team, it’s been a struggle since her tactical is basically useless. For a lot of people, it’s been disheartening development after the next, but at last, Lead Game Designer at Respawn Daniel Z. Klein gave the community a light at the end of the tunnel for Loba’s fixes. “Loba’s getting a lot of love for her tactical hopefully in Season 9, Klein said. “We’re talking both bug fixes and QoL changes.” The dev said he didn’t want to “overpromise” on anything, and acknowledged that the errant bug or other reason could prevent them from meeting that target release. But in the dev build of the game, Loba is starting to come together, according to Klein’s playtesting that’s been showing a lot of promise. “I’ve been playing the most recent version in playtests and I’m also somewhat of a Loba main on live, and the difference is day and night,” he said. At this point in Loba’s build, “day and night” changes are something Apex players are looking forward to. “After 10 hours or so of playing the new version I’ve seen the tactical fail maybe once where it shouldn’t have,” Klein said, instilling hope in players given her Season 8 failures. We already knew that Respawn were targeting Loba improvements, and fast, but it’s encouraging to know one of Apex Legends’ more popular characters could be fun to play again soon.

Apex Legends teams would greatly benefit from simple Crypto buff – Dexerto
Apex Legends teams would greatly benefit from simple Crypto buff Respawn EntertainmentCommunication in Apex Legends is paramount to a team’s success, making a simple buff to Crypto’s drone a much-needed addition. A proposed buff to the drone would make it possible for Crypto to ping the number of teams in the area once he gets the information from the champion banners spread across World’s Edge. Crypto mains have a knack of always keeping the drone’s eye near the banners, but sometimes the information doesn’t find its way to the rest of the team. The flying drone has a ton of utility for a trio, but it doesn’t always come across if the Crypto player doesn’t have access to their mic or if you enter a matchmade team with unresponsive members. “For those who say ‘use a mic,’” user ‘FuLL_of_LiFE’ said. “Understand that there are certains reasons that make people not be able to use a mic and need the ping system. What’s the sense of having this knowledge if only 1/3 of the team knows how many squads are nearby?” But even with players who light up the Discord, the extensive and prominent ping system in Apex can sometimes be the predominant mode of giving quick info without clogging up the comms. It’s because of reasons like those that Reddit user ‘Lord_Despairagus’ thought that a good addition to Apex would be a new ping telegraphing the information scanned by a nearby champion banner. Because of the drone’s ability to hover in place while not in use, Crypto can leave the drop permanently on a banner to check with it every once in a while. With the suggested buff, that strat would give a looting squad the best ping to keep them safe while they spread out to scavenge an area. Even though Crypto needs more of a buff than this to make him more competitive, this would be a great place to start to make him more useful in the Apex Games.

Apex Legends teams stop to play Cargo Bot volleyball and it’s hilarious – Dexerto
Apex Legends teams stop to play Cargo Bot volleyball and it’s hilarious Respawn/EAA couple of Apex Legends players have gone viral after they decided to stop their match to play a quick game of Volleyball on World’s Edge using Octane’s Jump Pad and the Cargo Bots. Given that the Apex Legends maps are pretty vast, fans of Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale have got quite the playground to mess around in. Yes, the name of the game is to be the last team standing, but you can also have some fun. That stretches all the way back to when the game launched, as players would reach the final circle and decide to finish things with a melee fight instead of using weapons and shields. As time has gone on, we’ve seen other creative players come up with funny ideas too – some playing basketball with their abilities, and others deciding to try and play golf with the Tridents on Olympus. But now there’s a new one – Volleyball. The hilarious clip comes from Redditor BeanBag373_, who managed to get a few random opponents involved in their quite unusual plan. They managed to grab themselves a downed cargo bot without destroying it, and rolled it all the way up near the Epicentre where they had a Volleyball court set up using Octane’s jump pads and Pathfinder’s zipline. While you might think that they’d be sitting ducks and that someone might want to ruin the fun, but that wasn’t the case. In fact, more players saw what was going on and decided to join in – quickly figuring out what to do. It’s pretty funny, all in all, as the whole lobby got involved at the end. Even though someone tried to take them down as the circle was closing in, the players didn’t stop their game. They carried on until just before the circle starts to become impossible to stand in. At that point, it devolved into chaos – slinging grenades, arc stars, and ultimates around. But ultimately, everyone involved had managed to magic up a viral moment and who knows what ideas it will inspire.

Apex Legends teams plagued by visa issues ahead of ALGS Championship – Dexerto
Apex Legends teams plagued by visa issues ahead of ALGS Championship Joe Brady/ ALGSTwo teams at ALGS Champs have been plagued by visa issues and must now use substitute players at the world championships. Another Apex Legends Global Series LAN is set to start and teams are yet again dealing with visa issues. The Battle Royale esport seemingly has some sort of player travel issue for every international tournament and ALGS Champs 2023 has been no different. This time around, Alliance and Aurora are the two teams to be hit with the visa plague. Alliance is one of the top seeds out of the EMEA region, having placed first in the second split of the Pro League and ninth at the Split 2 Playoff LAN back in July. At their previous ALGS LAN, Alliance was able to field its entire roster and had no issues with its current lineup of John ‘Hakis’ Håkansson, Oscar ‘Yuki’ Jiang and Miron ‘Effect’ Novikov. For this tournament, however, Effect was not able to secure his visa in time and the organization announced on September 4 that their substitute player, TSM content creator Mikkel ‘Mande’ Hestbek, will compete in his place. ALGS Champs teams hit with more visa problems Aurora, on the other hand, has been hit even harder with visa issues at this event as they will have to potentially field two substitute players. The organization announced on September 5 that both its IGL Kiryl ‘9impulse’ Kostsiu and Lev ‘taskmast33r’ Grigoriev had not yet secured visas for the tournament. Keenan ‘Tax’ Mackey, a young British player, and Entropiq player Jose ‘Uxako’ Llosa will be playing in their stead. 9impulse and taskmast33r could make an appearance at the tournament if they manage to secure a visa before its conclusion. However, seeing as the tournament starts on September 6, their chances of making an appearance on the Resorts World Arena stage are low. The three players facing visa issues are Russian and Belarusian. Effect, however, has chosen not to be represented by the Russian flag on Liquipedia due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Esports players from Russia and Ukraine have been facing visa issues in traveling for major tournaments since the invasion began. Update: Effect revealed on social media on September 6 that he has secured his visa and will compete with Alliance once he travels to the event.

Apex Legends reinstates team with trans player after disqualifying them from $100k tournament – Dexerto
Apex Legends reinstates team with trans player after disqualifying them from $100k tournament RespawnAn Apex Legends team which claimed that it had been disqualified from a $100,000 tournament due to one of their players being transgender has been reinstated by organizers. HER Galaxy is hosting the $100k Apex Legends Open women’s tournament on Saturday, May 20, with qualifiers having taken place and teams already qualified for the event. After qualifying for the upper bracket, Team VEXXX were looking forward to attempting to make a good run through the Open, but less than 48 hours before matches started, were told they could no longer compete due to the identification of one of their players, Gab. Taking to social media to explain the story and seek a resolution, Gab’s teammate Rkxine directly addressed Apex, EA, and HER Galaxy, describing what had happened. “Team VEXXX was eliminated from the HER Galaxy $100K Apex Legends Open Women’s Tournament, less than 48 hours before upper brackets, which we qualified for, because our teammate is transgender with the following pronouns: she/they,” she explained. “We all passed verification upon presenting ID. We played in both rounds of pre-quals and have been participating in all HerGalaxy scrims/tournaments.” She continued: “A known transphobic member of the Apex community reached out to the Admins to spread rumours and false statements about my teammate’s identity, post-verification. This person has always had a hateful nature towards everybody around them, and 95% of the Bracket participants can agree and attest to this. “What they did was very characteristic of prejudice and discrimination … EVERY SINGLE organization has been so welcoming towards my teammate – highlighting her moments and encouraging greatness just for us to fall victim to a decision entirely based on transphobia/hateful intent + action from a bigot. “Gab, my teammate, has never had the privilege to come out to their immediate family due to poor living situation, and therefore is not able to make legal changes to their government identity. This was discussed and verified with the HerGalaxy admins – yet did not affect eligibility whatsoever upon the initial verification process.” Other users then posted clips of the accused, calling her out for “openly displaying malicious and transphobic hate.” Those in the comments demanded she is removed from the tournament entirely and allow VEXXX to compete. Following everything being shared on Twitter, Gab posted a tweet promising a statement “in the morning” of May 19, but thanked everyone for the mass support they had received. After investigating the situation further, HER Galaxy reversed their decision, and put out a statement on Twitter confirming that Team VEXXX was back in the competition and apologizing to the team for the original disqualification. They said: ” Following today’s events, we have made the decision to reinstate the team in question to the HER Galaxy $100K Apex Legends Open. The HER Galaxy $100K Apex Legends Open was created to provide an inclusive, welcoming space for women and trans women. “This is a teachable moment for us, and we will continue to improve our processes so this does not happen again. We apologize for any hurt or confusion this caused.” They also said that another team had been banned due to discriminatory behavior that came to light as part of their investigation. “Independently, as part of this investigation, we have unearthed discourse that violates our code of conduct. We have a zero-tolerance policy for discriminatory behavior and have disqualified this team from the HER Galaxy $100K Apex Legends Open. “Education and rehabilitation are a priority for HER Galaxy, and we hope this team can join us in building a more inclusive and supportive space.” Apex Legends itself is a game that features a number of LGBTQIA+ characters, including trans Legend Catalyst among others, with developers Respawn promoting more inclusivity through their characters. Dexerto has reached out to HER Galaxy for comment.

Apex Legends TDM mode gets hotfixed following community backlash – Dexerto
Apex Legends TDM mode gets hotfixed following community backlash Respawn EntertainmentThe introduction of TDM (Team Deathmatch) to Apex Legends Season 16 has replaced the Arenas game mode. Players excited to give the mode a try had complaints about its format at first, and Respawn has already made some adjustments. Apex Legends is no stranger to alternate game modes that mix up or entirely change the core Battle Royale experience. Along with limited-time game modes for seasonal events, alternate modes like Arenas and Control have given players something else to sink their teeth into. A few of the core offerings there have been put into a rotating mixtape playlist. Arenas was implemented as a permanent game mode for a long while, with it even having its own ranked mode. However, Arenas has now been removed in favor of Team Deathmatch in Apex Legends Season 16. Apex Legends players are excited about the change and the availability of a more casual game mode to play, but players pointed out some problems with TDM on the very first day of Season 16. Just one day later, Respawn has already hotfixed the mode with more quality-of-life changes to come. Apex Legends devs issue emergency hotfix for TDM mode There’s a lot to look forward to in Season 16. While there isn’t a new legend like most other seasons have had, the rebalancing of classes, new Nemesis AR, and addition of Team Deathmatch have given players plenty of reasons to keep playing. However, players who wanted to try out the TDM mode on launch day have noticed that players leaving the lobby leaves them stuck in matches without a way to get out. What’s more, new players aren’t getting matchmade into these existing games, leaving players stuck. This prompted an emergency hotfix to TDM in Apex Legends, making games last for a single round rather than 3 and raising the kill count required to win from 30 to 50. TDM matches will be shorter overall after the change even if that single round lasts longer. The developers are also looking into ways to end the match if the entire enemy team leaves, and a leaver penalty for players who quit the game early. While Respawn is trying to fix players’ grievances with the mode, these issues have stifled some of the excitement to give the new game mode a try.

Apex Legends TDM: How does Team Deathmatch work in Apex? – Dexerto
Apex Legends TDM: How does Team Deathmatch work in Apex? Respawn EntertainmentTeam Deathmatch is coming to Apex Legends and will introduce a completely different way to play. Here’s how the game mode works and what maps you can play TDM on. Season 16 is dropping a fantastic amount of new content for Apex Legends, including a new weapon, meta changes, and game modes. The biggest attraction is TDM, implementing a new style of fighting for the traditional Battle Royale. So what is TDM in Apex Legends and how will it work? We’ve got all the answers right here so you can prepare for the new season and ensure you’re ready to destroy the enemy team. What is TDM in Apex Legends? TDM (Team Deathmatch) is a fast-paced 6v6 match in which the sole aim is to get 30 kills, thus winning the round. Win two rounds and your team will win the game. During the battle, your team of three will join another full squad, making six. You will then have to eliminate the enemy team. If you are killed, there is six-second respawn delay before you will instantly respawn with your loadout and gear again. You can also check on your kills and damage dealt through the scoreboard. As for weaponry, you can select from a range of powerful premade loadouts, just like in Control mode, and you are able to change them out during the match, especially with some helpful care package drops that fall throughout the map. If you’re excited to try out the new Team Deathmatch mode, the style will be in its own Limited Time Mode (LTM) for three weeks, and will then be placed in rotation in the mixtape playlist. What maps are in Team Deathmatch? Currently, there will be three maps for TDM, these are: Party Crasher – Habitat 4 – Skull Town – The maps will be on the traditional rotating style and will rotate every 15 minutes, meaning you won’t need to wait too long to try out a different map. That’s everything you need to know about the Team Deathmatch mode in Apex Legends. Here’s why Apex Legends is taking over – Dexerto
Here’s why Apex Legends is taking over Less than a month ago, Apex Legends was unheard of. Nearly three weeks after its release on February 4, it is has become one the biggest games in the world. Here’s why Apex Legends is taking over. Battle Royale done right The battle royale genre exploded after games such as Fortnite and PUBG, and to a lesser extent H1Z1, became mainstream. Since then it has unarguably been the most discussed, watched and played type of game. Even in 2019, gamers are clamoring for more battle royale options. Then, out of nowhere, came Apex Legends. Respawn and EA’s surprise release, and entry into the battle royale market in February has been nothing short of incredible. Even EA themselves wouldn’t have expected the title to gain the popularity it has so quickly. The game is still in its relative infancy, but if its early days are anything to judge it by, it will be around for a long time to come. The developers of Apex produced a polished and enjoyable BR experience from day one, and that made all the difference in the world. Free-to-Play What’s the ideal price of a game? Of course the answer to that is: ‘free’. The free-to-play model was first introduced in the late 1990s, most notably in the massively multiplayer online (MMOs) genre. In recent times it has proven extremely successful with Fortnite and now, Apex Legends. The idea behind free-to-play is twofold. Firstly, it maximizes player count, which is vital for if the numbers dwindle. Secondly, it makes the game as available as it can possibly be. Revenue is generated by in-game purchases. In Fortnite and Apex Legends, these tend to be cosmetic items. This strategy for Apex Legends is in contrast to PUBG and Blackout. Both maintain the traditional model of having to buy the game, although PUBG is significantly cheaper than the average AAA title. Notably, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 cost $60 on release, while PUBG was $30. Despite this, Blackout games are are still filled with players, which is testament to just how good of a job Treyarch did developing CoD’s first Battle Royale mode. Gameplay Video game companies are still trying to create the perfect battle royale game. In the opinion of many, Apex Legends has come the closest so far. Perfection is, theoretically, an impossible task as it will be impossible to please all gamers. Some prefer fast-paced gameplay, while others prefer a more realistic experience. Furthermore, they want these in varying degrees. Read More: What is the ultimate battle royale game? – With that said, the pace of the gameplay, the map design and the shooting mechanics of Apex Legends might have combined to find a sweet spot among battle royale players. Additional features such as respawn beacons, legends and even finishers have only added to the allure that is Apex Legends. Just ask a avid player how much their main character means to them, and you’ll understand the connection that is made between player and legend. EA and Respawn Electronic Arts (EA) is the publisher of Apex Legends. Even fringe video gamers will know who they are as they are among the most notable publishers out there and that they have a lot of resources. Apex Legends has some serious backing behind them, and is sure to receive more of it continues to thrive. Having EA on their side means pull within the video game industry, money for advertising and funds that most developers can only wish for. Respawn, the developers for Apex Legends, have also done a stellar job in making the game. They’ve avoided many of the mistakes that other developers, including EA themselves, have made in recent years, meaning that they’ve kept the community’s support. Streamer Support While Apex Legends is the hottest thing in the gaming world right now, it also has an abundance of popular streamers playing it – the perfect advertisement. Streamers command the attention of millions of followers around the world. Simply put, if a lot of big streamers are playing your game, you’re in good stead. Twitch metrics show the huge popularity of Apex Legends in February. It currently boasts the best average viewers per stream and has had the highest concurrent viewers, topping out at over 650 thousand. It still trails Fortnite for the most streamed game which isn’t overly surprising. Interestingly, it also trails League of Legends (LoL) for the most hours watched on a game. However, this can be attributed to the major competitive leagues for LoL starting in February. The popularity of Apex Legends has resulted in various tournaments being held for the game already. These have included Code Red and Twitch Rivals, bringing in a huge number of viewers. With the likes of Dr Disrespect, Ninja, summit1g, shroud and many more singing the praises of Apex Legends, it’s hard to see it failing any time soon. Comparisons to Fortnite, Blackout and PUBG In terms of hype, there is no doubt that Apex Legends leads the way. The new Titanfall-esque battle royale experience does have the distinct advantage of being the newest player to the table. Once this initial honeymoon phase subsides, it will be clearer where it stands among other battle royale stalwarts of Fortnite, Blackout and PUBG. Due to Apex Legend’s unique map, time to kill and intuitive new gameplay, it is hard to offer a direct comparison against its main competitors. It appears the developers at Respawn have targeted a middle-ground in terms of setting and game speed, while refining some of the more annoying parts of the battle royale genre. Add the fact that you can choose a character with a special set of skills, and it quickly begins to feel very different. A perfect example of addressing and fixing a problem within battle royale games is the new respawn concept (Not to be confused with the developer Respawn). Battle royale games are unforgiving – if you die, you are waiting for the next game before you return to the action. Apex Legends, though, offers the chance to get a teammate back in the game by taking their card to one of many respawn points. Of all major battle royale games at the moment, Fortnite and PUBG probably differ the most. One has cartoon-like graphics, is fast-paced and isn’t worried about realism. Conversely, PUBG is primarily a slow-paced battle royale experience played in huge maps with an emphasis on realistic gun battles. Naturally, Apex Legends had been in development for quite some time before its release and it is therefore these two games that were perhaps their yard stick. When looking at elements such as graphics, game speed, gun-play and even the number of perks, it does look like they were trying to encapsulate the best of both. Treyarch also had the opportunity to analyze previous battle royale games and adjust accordingly. Blackout is arguably the smoothest battle royale game to date, especially on console, and maintains the unmistakably premium feel of CoD’s shooting mechanics. While Apex Legends has, like CoD, gone for a middle-ground where pace and gun play is concerned, it has found a gap in the battle royale space by introducing a futuristic world where the time to kill is among the highest we’ve seen. Elsewhere, Fortnite continues to keep its fan base interested with frequent updates. However, in terms of raw gameplay, it looks like Apex Legends and Blackout have surpassed it in the eyes of many fans. Apex Legends Numbers Nothing proves the success of Apex Legends more so than the impressive statistics it can boast. These vary from social media followers, Reddit subscribers and most importantly player count within the game itself. The mysterious announcement stream, use of top streamers and personalities, and community interaction from the developers made for the perfect marketing campaign in the game’s early days and weeks. The official Apex Legends Twitter account has gone from zero to over 727,000 followers in February alone. To put that in perspective, the official PUBG Twitter has less than double that but was made in April 2016. Elsewhere, the official Apex Legends Subreddit is also thriving. It has in excess of 500,000 subscribers and shows little sign of slowing down. Developers regularly respond to community members on Reddit, taking a leaf out of Epic Games’ book and the way that they have handled the Fortnite community. :shocked:x10,000,000 So amazed @PlayApex hit 10 million in 72 hours. #ApexLegends https://t.co/rZmOgNnwhF pic.twitter.com/j68PYHMAfM— Vince Zampella (@VinceZampella) February 7, 2019 Player Count However, as with any game, player count is king. In any multiplayer game, especially battle royale, a large player count is required to keep waiting times reduced to a minimum. It has been confirmed that 25 million unique players have entered King’s Canyon. Moreover, this was the released number as of February 13. As a result, it isn’t unreasonable to assume the actual number surpasses this by a substantial amount as we approach March. Also, there have been a confirmed 2 million concurrent players. As this number comes from official Apex Legends sources, it’s safe to assume this is across all platforms, though. While there’s truly no telling where Apex Legends might be in the coming days, weeks, and months, it’s clear that Respawn have a true winner on their hands for the time being. The true test will be whether it can avoid the pitfalls made by Fortnite and PUBG by finding a balancing between their casual and competitive communities. For the time being, though, there’s never been a better time to be a battle royale fan.

Apex Legends takes away unreleased skins from players after Apex Packs blunder – Dexerto
Apex Legends takes away unreleased skins from players after Apex Packs blunder Respawn Entertainment / u/WanderWutRespawn Entertainment, developers of Apex Legends, have quickly removed a set of unreleased skins that were seemingly accidentally available in-game early, with players receiving the items from regular packs. These items included new Legendary and Epic skins for various characters. On December 7, the Raiders Collection event went live in Apex Legends, bringing with it new cosmetics, the Wattson heirloom, and the Winter Express LTM. But, when the event first released, players got more skins than they bargained for. Opening regular Apex packs, some players noticed that they were receiving skins that had not been revealed at all. Were they secret skins released as a surprise? Or was it an accident on the devs part? Unfortunately, it was most certainly the latter, as not even an hour after the bug was discovered, the skins had been totally removed from the game. Unreleased skins accidentally released in Apex The surprise content included some incredible character skins for Horizon, Fuse and Loba. So… right now, you can get skins from an upcoming event in regular Apex Packs. The items must have been put into the loot pool early… 😳 pic.twitter.com/vzIJ2TZPZR — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) December 7, 2021 Players were understandably elated if they were lucky enough to receive the items in packs, including one player who scooped up the ‘Broseidon’ skin for Fuse. All of the skins had a sea theme, and are believed to part of an upcoming event called ‘Dark Depths’. You can see all of the unreleased skins that were revealed here, which also include Valkyrie, Rampart and weapons skins. Apex players lose unreleased skins Despite initial excitement at receiving these items, the players who packed them very quickly turned disappointed, as the skins were removed from their inventory soon after. Some players had packed multiple skins too, all of which were simply removed without warning, meaning their packs effectively only rewarded them with two items rather than three. Read More: New Apex Legends Arenas map ‘Habitat’ leaked – The question now is whether players who got these skins in packs will have them returned to them when the skins are actually officially released, which should be later in Season 11. The Dark Depths event has not officially been announced by Respawn at all, so we’ll have to wait for updates.

Apex Legends tactical buff would make Octane the ultimate aggressor – Dexerto
Apex Legends tactical buff would make Octane the ultimate aggressor Respawn EntertainmentSpeeding around normally as Octane in Apex Legends isn’t enough for some players, as one has proposed a tactical buff to the character that would potentially make him the game’s most aggressive character. Big buffs and nerfs can alter the meta in the Apex games, impacting which legends are stronger than others in particular circumstances. In the case of Octane, his current abilities in Season 4 allow him to use a Launch Pad to move from place to place, Adrenaline Junkie to speed up his sprint, and Swift Mend which means he can recover health over time. However, new changes would seriously shake up the character’s skill set, as proposed by Reddit user Giraffe6000. The Redditor, who posted their idea to the Apex Legends subreddit on April 6, released a video of the potential tweaks and also an explanation for each. Instead of moving faster for six seconds, costing health, they proposed that the stim would instead allow Octane to do everything faster for 10 seconds, including reloading and healing. During their concept video. they said: “I wanted to make Octane more combat oriented so I made stim have a tactical advantage in combat, so that Octane players are able to play offensive with faster reload and defensive with faster heals.” This would essentially mean that other players would have to not just be able to deal with Octane’s fast sprinting, but also fast healing and fast reloading – which would be a serious rework of the character. While something as drastic as this is unlikely to make it into the full battle royale game, perhaps another route – to trial something of this nature – would be to incorporate exaggerated ultimates and abilities in a limited time mode. Imagine, Octane sprinting around like this, Bangalore popping smokes the size of cities, and huge Wattson fences scattered around the map. That would be the only way to fairly bring about changes like this that wouldn’t make Octane the obvious overpowered pick, although it must be said, the idea should certainly give Respawn some food for thought.

Apex Legends tactic makes Gibraltar’s shield portable – Dexerto
Apex Legends tactic makes Gibraltar’s shield portable An Apex Legends tactic makes it possible for Gibraltar’s “Dome of Protection” shield to be portable. Gibraltar’s Dome of Protection is perhaps the most powerful defensive ability in the game, forming a barrier that blocks all damage – from either side – for fifteen seconds. The drawback, of course, is that the shield is stationary. Assuming the enemy aren’t close enough to just run through the dome, it gives you the opportunity to heal and shield up before returning to the fight, but if you’re caught in a tight spot you’re still going to be in the same position when the shield drops. There is a way to get the shield to move, however – so long as you also have a Lifeline player on your squad. If Lifeline first drops her D.O.C Heal Drone, then Gibraltar’s shield can be placed on top of it. Because the drone hovers, it can then be pushed along for its duration. By using this method, a squad can reposition while inside the impervious shield, as well as being healed simultaneously by Lifeline’s drone. It may not be viable for every situation, but it’s certainly a technique worth bearing in mind. If your squad is caught out in the open taking fire from a distance, for example, this strategy could be used to reach cover safely. Alternatively, it could be used pre-emptively as a means of moving between cover without danger. While choice of Legends in Apex is largely a matter of personal preference, as none offer abilities so powerful as to be absolutely necessary in any given group, it’s worth keeping little synergies like this in mind when making your selection.

Creative Apex Legends system lets players choose which map to play on – Dexerto
Creative Apex Legends system lets players choose which map to play on Apex Legends players have been split on Season 3 since the game defaults to World’s Edge when loading up into a match – but that could be fixed with a popular voting system. While the allure of World’s Edge managed to give players a new way to experience the Apex Games, a lot of people in the community have been missing the game’s first map, Kings Canyon. The Respawn Entertainment devs have already shown that they’re willing to take the action of the Apex Games back to its original destination, but one player devised a way to keep both maps in active rotation. Reddit user ‘tr15ton’ made a mock-up for what could be an effective way to decide on which of the two Apex maps players can jump into: “Maybe the lobby could vote for the map they wanted to play on.” They paired the idea with an image of two prompts on the character select screen where players would also give their choice of which map to play on. The concept has drawn a ton of support from the Apex Legends community, especially since players are starting to miss Kings Canyon. Though it isn’t without its faults, as some members of the fan base instantly saw how the idea could give way to a few problems if applied. “Bad idea. Sounds like a good way for a lot of people to drop when the stage they don’t want gets selected,” user ‘J_the_Hero’ said. “Which then leads to about 10 full squads max and maybe another 5 squads of 1 or 2 players.” Additionally, with 60 players to a given lobby, a split decision would also be possible which could present a strange situation for players in the game. Even still other people suggested improvements like a “Random map” selection, a “Preferred map” option to streamline the vote, matchmaking based on said preferred map option, and more. While Respawn’s lore-centric battle royale could see the map change with major updates to the story, an idea like this would be an intriguing way to bring a bit of map diversity to the Apex Games.

Apex Legends System Override patch notes: Evo Shield, meta changes, more – Dexerto
Apex Legends System Override patch notes: Evo Shield, meta changes, more Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends System Override Collection Event has kicked off on March 3, introducing the new Deja Loot LTM, Evo Shield, Octane’s Heirloom set, as well as changes to some Legends, weapons, and player inventories. The biggest in-game event since the launch of Season 2, Apex Legends System Override has introduced new content and major changes to the battle royale. The event started on Tuesday, March 3 and will run for two weeks, wrapping up on Tuesday, March 17. During System Override, there’s a brand new limited-time mode called Deja Loot, which features a never-before-seen equipment type called Evo Shield. There are also some changes implemented to the game’s meta, including Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Crypto, Peacekeeper, Sentinel, and player inventories. A long-awaited quality-of-life improvement has arrived for Muzzle Flash, which Respawn reduced for all weapons except shotguns and snipers. There are also fixes rolled out for plenty of bugs and issues that are currently plaguing the game. A breakdown of everything included in this System Override update can be found below, including the full official patch notes. Apex Legends System Override: New Deja Loot LTM This Collection Event showcases a brand new limited-time mode called Deja Loot, which removes randomness and RNG as much as one can from a battle royale game. All loot spawns at the same locations every match; the plane patch and circle locations will be changed daily but will remain fixed throughout the course of each day. The first week of this LTM is played on World’s Edge and the second week on Kings Canyon, the map used for Seasons 1 and 2. Apex Legends System Override: Evo Shield Introduced in the Deja Loot LTM is a brand new type of equipment called Evo Shield, which, as the name suggests, is an evolving type of body armor. When found on the map, Evo Shield starts out as a white Common Body Shield and as you inflict damage to non-downed enemy players, it levels up all the way to purple Epic armor. Read More: How new Evo Shield works in Apex Legends – For now, this is only be available in Deja Loot, but Respawn could consider adding it to the regular core default modes if community feedback is positive enough. Apex Legends System Override: Meta Changes As is usually the case with most major updates in Apex Legends, this System Override patch implemented balancing changes to some Legends, weapons, and player inventories. Bloodhound, Gibralter, and Crypto all received some adjustments, while the Peacekeeper was nerfed and the recently-released Sentinel sniper rifle was buffed. Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, inventories have gotten a major rework. The base number of slots players have in their inventories has been increased, along with a buff to all tiers of Backpacks. In order to balance that, Respawn have reduced the stack sizes for eight different items, including Med Kits, Grenades, Shield Batteries, and more. For more details, including the new stack sizes, make sure to visit our Apex Legends player inventories changes info page. Apex Legends System Override: Muzzle Flash & Heirlooms With this System Override update, Respawn haved addressed two of the biggest concerns players have had about Apex Legends – Muzzle Flash and Heirlooms. The intensity of Muzzle Flash has finally been reduced while aiming down sights for all weapons except shotguns and sniper rifles. As for Heirlooms, a brand new system using Shards has been introduced, which essentially allows players to pick which rare set of items they’ll be getting instead of being given one that they might not want. Read More: How to unlock “free” Octane Heirloom – Speaking of Heirlooms, this event has added Octane’s new set into the game, with the premier item being a butterfly knife that players can twirl around their fingers as they zip across the map. Apex Legends System Override update patch notes Here are the full patch notes for this update, provided by Respawn Entertainment in their March 2 blog post: Limited Time Mode – Deja Loot Deja Loot is a unique take on the Apex games where “random” is a dirty word. A glitch in the system has caused all loot to spawn in the same location every match for the duration of the event. Even the plane path and circle locations will be fixed for this mode, which will change on a daily basis while the loot location stays the same for the whole event. Features new equipment type: Evo Shield [see below for details] – The first week will be played on World’s Edge and the second week we’ll go back to Kings Canyon – – New equipment type: Evo Shield When you pick up Evo Shield it will start out weaker than a Common Body Shield (White), but as you do damage to non-downed players throughout the match it can become even stronger than Epic Body Shields (Purple). Evo Shields change color as they progress, but their perpetual distinctive glow will help you identify them. Progress also carries over from person to person, so look forward to some interesting late game scenarios. To start the Evo Shield will be exclusive to the Deja Loot gamemode and spawn at higher rates; after the event we’ll consider adding the Evo Shield to all matches, so please give us your feedback. – – Exclusive Event Prize Track with two Legendary Weapon skins – 24 Event Limited premium cosmetic available directly or through System Override Event Packs – Octane Heirloom Set Preview Unlock all 24 System Override cosmetics during the event and unlock the Octane Heirloom set for free – – – When you pick up Evo Shield it will start out weaker than a Common Body Shield (White), but as you do damage to non-downed players throughout the match it can become even stronger than Epic Body Shields (Purple). Instead of an entire Heirloom set dropping at once, you’ll now receive Heirloom shards. You can then use those shards to pick the exact Heirloom set you’d like. The shards will have the same drop rate as the previous system, so that after 500 Apex Packs, you will have enough Heirloom Shards to obtain an Heirloom set from the Heirloom shop. And don’t worry, your existing progress towards the 500 Apex Packs will carry over with the switch. Remember that once a player owns all of the Heirloom sets, the player will not be eligible to receive more shards until more Heirloom Sets are added to the game. – – BUG FIXES Fixed bug for cases where Bangalore would appear invisible when equipped with certain skins. The Apex Overdrive and Killer B skins have been re-enabled now for affected players. – For cases where sometimes Revenant’s Ultimate Totem could be destroyed or disabled when placed too close to some geometry, it will now be refunded back to the player at full charge when this happens. – Fixed a bug for where sometimes players would enter a match with a different character than they selected and all loadouts being set back to default after the match. – Cleaned up some areas around World’s Edge with bad collision or provided ways for players to exploit them. – Fixed an exploit near Geyser where players could climb to a spot that provided an unfair advantage. – Fix for cases where players were able to punch and shoot enemies clipping through doors and other areas with thin geo. – Fixed bug for cases where full-auto mode would be disabled when players equipped the Anvil Receiver hop-up while in single-fire mode for R-301 or Flatline. – Fix for cases where there could be a delay with firing the Havoc after cancelling a reload. – Fixed a bug where players could place Gibraltar’s Dome Shield on Crypto’s Drone allowing the Dome to be mobile while in use. – Fixed bug for cases where players were able to reroll Daily Challenges without being charged the Legends Tokens for reroll. – Fixed a bug for cases where unlocking new badges would not trigger the red dot notification to make players aware a new badge is available. – Fixed a bug where if players were respawned while spectating someone under Revenant’s death protection, they would return in that state permanently and unable to use heal items. – Fixed players getting assist credit by using abilities that place status effects (e.g. Crypto Drone, Revenant tactical etc) on enemies after they are knocked down. – Fixes for cases where the Store would show placeholder images when content would be slow to load. – Fix for cases where audio from Wattson’s skydive emote would continue to play after she lands. – Stability fixes to reduce crashing and script errors. – Various stability and polish bug fixes for Firing Range. –

Apex Legends System Override leak claims huge buffs & nerfs coming soon – Dexerto
Apex Legends System Override leak claims huge buffs & nerfs coming soon RespawnApex Legends leaker ILootGames has hinted at some pretty big character changes coming in the March 3rd update, ahead of the System Override event, with both buffs and nerfs in-store. With Apex Legends season four in full flow, players of Respawn Entertainment’s uber-popular battle royale are gearing up for the next round of content. That is set to come in the form of the System Override event, which is going to add an Heirloom for Octane, as well as some new skins for the other legends. As ever, once the event goes live on March 3rd, the new cosmetics won’t be the only changes that players can expect. In fact, there will a new game mode in the form of Deja Loot, and even a brand-new shield type. Yet, some legends themselves could also be in for some changes. In a video from March 2nd, dataminer ILootGames revealed the possibility of some character tweaks – with the noticeable coming to the recon types of Crypto and Bloodhound. In this update, the leaker noted that they should be able to use the survey beacons that have, to this point, been exclusive to Pathfinder. In addition to that, ILootGames also claimed that Gibraltar was set for a nerf. Yes, finally, a change for Gibraltar. However, the dataminer wasn’t able to nail down what that change would be – speculating that it could be to do with either his Gun Shield or the faster revives while inside the Dome of Protection. Of course, it is difficult to say what exactly the changes to Gibraltar will be considering that the leaker couldn’t get them nailed down. Though, a change to the Gun Shield is something many fans have been clamoring for in the past. As for what else will change, including a possible addition to Pathfinder seeing as his exclusive ability is being opened up, we’ll just have to wait and see what the developers have in-store for us.

The official description for it is as follows: “Due to a system glitch, this limited-time mode will feature the same flight path for the dropship and all loot will respawn at the same location throughout the . “The Ring location will change on a daily basis. The first week of Deja Loot mode will take place on World’s Edge; the second week will see Legends return to Kings Canyon.” It’s unclear as to which version of Kings Canyon will be included in the mode just yet, but the most recent inclusion of the original map was the Season 1 version. Evo Shield Evo Body shields are being added as part of the System Override event, but based on the trailer many fans are going to be hoping Respawn keep them around for much longer than that. These new shields will get stronger, once equipped, the more damage a legend inflicts while wearing one. This means that those who have one equipped will benefit from engaging with enemies and taking gunfights. They can also become stronger than Epic body shields, as a result, and will have a “distinctive glow” so that players can recognize them. Assimilation Themed Apex Packs Apex Legends players will have opened numerous packs by now, but during this event there will be limited edition Assimilation themed packs made available as well. These can be purchased with Apex Coins, unlocked with Crafting Materials or will randomly unlock with the Event Apex Packs. Inside, players could unlock a “set of 24 themed, limited-time cosmetics, in addition to 6 matching legendary character and weapon skins, and 12 other epics,” according to an official statement. Octane Heirloom set As a reward, those who unlock all of the 24 System Override cosmetics, made available by this upcoming update, will be granted a brand new Octane Heirloom set. Regular players will be aware that Heirlooms are the rarest in the game, so if you want to claim this new one, get to work! The premier item of this set is a butterfly knife, similar to the ones popularized in CS:GO. You can get a close look at Octane’s Heirloom knife in-game here. New Heirloom Shards system in Apex Legends In addition to Octane’s new set, Respawn also announced that a major change to Heirlooms was coming soon in the form of Shards: “We’re changing up the Heirloom system to make it easier for you to acquire the heirloom you want. Instead of an entire Heirloom set dropping at once, you’ll now receive Heirloom shards. You can then use those shards to pick the exact Heirloom set you’d like. The shards will have the same drop rate as the previous system so that after 500 Apex Packs, you will have enough Heirloom Shards to obtain an Heirloom set from the Heirloom shop. And don’t worry, your existing progress towards the 500 Apex Packs will carry over with the switch. Remember that once a player owns all of the Heirloom sets, the player will not be eligible to receive more shards until more Heirloom Sets are added to the game.” For more details about how this new system will work, make sure to visit our Apex Legends Heirloom Shards info page. So, there we have it! Those are all of the details we have so far for the upcoming Apex Legends Season 4 limited time event. Once we know more, we’ll be the first to let you know, but this isn’t a bad start by our estimations.

Apex Legends pro Sweet has “the most perfect nerf” for Valkyrie in Season 11 – Dexerto
Apex Legends pro Sweet has “the most perfect nerf” for Valkyrie in Season 11 Twitter: Sweetdreams / RespawnApex Legends pro Chris ‘sweetdreams’ Sexton claims to have come up with “the most perfect nerf” for Valkyrie in Season 11, and he believes it’s the best way to clip the wings of the high-flying Legend once and for all. Valkyrie was first introduced in Apex Legends Season 9, but it wasn’t long before she became an absolute powerhouse in Season 10. Since then, she’s been running the show. It’s all thanks to her ability to rotate across the map, which works incredibly well with defensive heroes like Gibraltar and Caustic. In fact, that line-up has become the go-to meta for many teams in ALGS Pro League. However, Apex Legends pro Sweet believes it’s time for her to get a nerf, and he believes he’s come up with the perfect way to do it. Initially, he flirted with the idea of increasing the cooldown of her ultimate. “I think Valkyrie’s ult cooldown should be five-plus minutes. That sh*t should be literally five minutes plus,” he said. However, after pondering about it more, he came up with an even more drastic measure: the idea that it should be limited to one use per game. “I think literally one and done on the entire game. Like, you get one of them. I think that would be the most perfect nerf for Valk. You get one ult, and that’s it. “You can use it to early rotate, or you can use it late-game, but you can’t use it three goddamn times a game. “I just said that randomly, but that is actually the nerf to make her very balanced.” The reception among his squad, which consisted of Cloud9’s Logan ‘Knoqd’ Layou and XSET’s Beau ‘RamBeau’ Sheidy, was that his suggestion was “so good.” Valkyrie has already been nerfed once before. It will be interesting to see whether the developers decide to give her another one to mix things up in Season 11.

Apex Legends: Surprise team beats out TSM to win Twitch Rivals tournament – recap & final standings – Dexerto
Apex Legends: Surprise team beats out TSM to win Twitch Rivals tournament – recap & final standings The second and final day of the $200,000 Apex Legends Challenge has come to a close on February 19 for both the European and North American regions. On the North American side of things, the team named Scott’s Tots and consisting of former Overwatch pro player Lucas “Mendokusaii” Håkansson, along with popular streamers ‘overpoweredow’ and ‘nmplol’ was able to take first place. They managed to top the team featuring Team SoloMid’s Daequan, one of the biggest names in the Fortnite pro scene, former Overwatch player AimbotCalvin, and streamer Payne, whose team was among the favorites to win this tournament. For those who are not aware of how the Twitch Rivals x Apex Legends Challenge worked, each region’s tournament featured 10 teams of three players loading into public matches and trying to get as many points possible over two two-hour sessions. Teams were awarded points based on their placements in individual matches and the combined total of all of the eliminations each player managed to get. Match Victory = 10 points – 2nd or 3rd place = 5 points – 4th or 5th place = 3 points – Kills = 1 points – Scott’s Tots were able to finish with 393 total points, good enough to secure them the 11,200 first place share of the prize pool, while TSM’s 377 points earned the $10,300. The top three was rounded off by a team featuring League of Legends icon Imaqtpie, who was playing alongside LoL pro players ‘Dyrus’ and ‘Shiptur,’ as the trio managed 356 points to earn $5,900. There were also certain bonuses awarded to teams for meeting certain objectives, one of which was a $3,000 bonus to the first team who summoned Nessie and got a match victory. This bonus was claimed by Team Kephrii, and it was Kephrii himself who got the final elimination to seal the bonus. Wasting no time, @Kephrii nails the Nessie Challenge! #TwitchRivals :dragon: pic.twitter.com/DG0eQmSQYN — Twitch Esports (@TwitchEsports) February 19, 2019 As for the EU tournament, first place was taken by Team Solary, whose 387 total points earned them $12,300. Coming in second place was Wtcn, who also got $12,300 points due to earning their own bonus during the event. Here are the final standings for the EU side of the Apex Legends Challenge, including each team’s points and the full prize breakdown. Apex Legends devs explain why they stopped releasing support Legends after Loba – Dexerto
Apex Legends devs explain why they stopped releasing support Legends after Loba Electronic ArtsDuring a Reddit AMA, Respawn developers explained why they haven’t released new support Legends since Loba arrived in Apex Legends Season 5. The battle royale’s roster presently plays host to only two Support heroes – Lifeline and Loba. (Technically, Pathfinder also boasts support qualities, though he lacks healing benefits.) Loba joined the popular online title when Season 5 launched in May 2020. Since then, Respawn Entertainment has debuted several other Legends, with the offensive class receiving plenty of love. But players who prefer support roles feel left in the dust due to the disproportionate number of Legends for their class of choice. Devs explain lack of new support Legends in Apex Legeds While fielding questions in a Reddit AMA session, Lead Game Designer RV-Devan addressed whether or not more support characters are on the docket. The developer couldn’t divulge specifics about what the future may hold but told fans the following: “…Support Legends are one of the more difficult roles to bring to Apex without over-indexing in healing and resets that make fights drag on and upset the already high TTK of the game.” Those who like to main support heroes shouldn’t give up hope, however. According to RV-Devan, the team is interested in offering a “more balanced roster of class roles” sometime in the future. RV-Devan’s comment comes months after Respawn acknowledged support as an “underserved playstyle.” In so doing, Apex Legends’ Gameplay Engineer, Chris Winder, teased the team had a few “things cooking” with respect to building new support Legends. Evidently, whatever those plans entailed have yet to come to fruition as far as the public is concerned. The most recent character to join the fun, Vantage, is a sharpshooting recon Legend. Leaks suggest Apex Legend’s Season 15 newcomer will be a builder named Catalyst. EA and Respawn haven’t corroborated as much at the time of writing.

Apex Legends Support legend concept fights alongside robot Prowler – Dexerto
Apex Legends Support legend concept fights alongside robot Prowler Respawn Entertainment/Twitter: @PreetiSketchA talented Apex Legends artist and animator has created their own Support Legend who fights alongside a robot Prowler companion. With only two Support characters in Apex Legends, it’s safe to say the category is in need of some love and the community is desperate to see a new one added to the roster. However, with Vantage set to arrive in the upcoming Hunted update, it’s going to be Season 15 at the earliest before we see a new Support in the Outlands. Well, instead of waiting for Respawn, talented artist Preeti decided to take designing a new Legend into their own hands, creating Eve and her robot Prowler companion. Apex artist designs new Support character Eve When it comes to Eve’s design, it’s obvious Preeti was looking to create a traditional support Legend, with a healing drone similar to Lifeline. However, Eve’s Tactical differentiates itself from the Combat Medic’s drone by only having single target healing, including shield restoration, and dropping out when a gunfight kicks off. Of course, while Eve’s recon-style Passive and healing Tactical are impressive, it’s her robot Prowler Ultimate that really steals the show. When deployed, the robot companion will attack enemy squads within a 30-meter radius, and also steal health from opponents, equally distributing it between the team. If you’re looking for a full breakdown of the abilities, damage, and healing, check out Preeti’s detailed description below: If that wasn’t enough, Preeti has used their skills as a talented artist to produce some original artwork for Eve, and it’s absolutely stunning. Her outfit fits a Support legend perfectly and they’ve even included extra information on Eve’s lore within the artwork. While it’s unlikely Respawn will ever copy a fan’s concept and add it into the game, we can at least hope the designers see Preeti’s idea. With players coming up with incredible suggestions on a daily basis, let’s hope Respawn’s future new Support Legend can live up to the high expectations.

Apex Legends support badges to return after mysteriously disappearing – Dexerto
Apex Legends support badges to return after mysteriously disappearing Respawn/EAApex Legends players have reported that their support badges, for causes such as Black Lives Matter and Suicide Awareness, have disappeared from their cosmetics pages. Thankfully, the developers have confirmed they will be back. Just like other battle royales, Respawn Entertainment has given players a way to stand out from the crowd with their tracker badges and banners. These items are shown to other players when you win a game or eliminate them, so some players take great care and attention to picking the ones they show off. In addition to showing off just how good of an Apex player you are, Respawn have also joined the fight for different social and cultural movements, issuing badges for Pride Month, Suicide Awareness, Stop Asian Hate, and the Black Lives Matter movement. Many players are proud to display these badges on their banner, but as of October 26, they disappeared into thin air. What happened to Apex Legends support badges? A number of players have reported the issue across social media, asking if it was an intentional move by the developers or not and if the badges have been removed for good. With it just happening out of the blue, it appears to be a widespread bug that is affecting the badges, rather than an actual change. It turns out that the badges were removed due to “changes made in preparation for the next seasonal event.” But, there is good news to come. Heads up: The Pride, BLM, Stop Asian Hate, and Suicide Prevention badges are temporarily unavailable due to changes made in preparation for the next seasonal update. But don’t worry! These badges will be back and permanently available for ALL players after the update on Nov 2. — Respawn (@Respawn) October 27, 2021 Will Apex’s support badges come back? Respawn has confirmed that the badges will be reinstated at the start of Season 11, on November 2. Ryan Rigney, head of comms at Respawn, said that having these badges as login rewards “made sense at the time”, but prevented some players from being able to get them. https://twitter.com/RKRigney/status/1453397948151259145 Now, rather than only being granted to players who logged in during the right month to claim the badges originally, they will be made available to all players of Apex Legends.

Apex Legends supply ship bug makes players invincible – Dexerto
Apex Legends supply ship bug makes players invincible There appears to be a bug with the Apex Legends supply ships that offers invincibility to players in a particular location. At the start of each game, a supply ship flies onto the island, travelling to a particular location before coming to a stop. In some cases, another supply ship might also appear later in the game. These supply ships are guaranteed to hold some high-tier loot, which makes them a popular target for hot drops at the beginning of a match. It’s unlikely you’ll ever find one uncontested if you choose to land there immediately. The supply ships are a particularly dangerous location not only because of their contested nature, but also because cover is relatively limited, and escaping might often mean dropping off early and becoming separated from your squad. There is, however, one location on the supply ship that offers safety. It appears that underneath the supply ship’s massive cannon there is an invisible barrier of some kind, behind which players can tuck themselves to act as a “safe spot” despite no visible cover. While the spot may not offer players a complete escape, it could well be used in the middle of a hectic fight to heal up, or cause the enemy to waste much of their ammo, thereby giving you a greater chance of victory. Given that this is clearly unintentional it will likely be patched at some point in the future by Respawn Entertainment, but in the mean time it’s worth keeping in mind if only so you know not to waste your ammo if you see someone sitting there.

Apex Legends supply ship bug breaks Finishers and players want a fix – Dexerto
Apex Legends supply ship bug breaks Finishers and players want a fix Respawn EntertainmentA bug with the supply ship in Apex Legends can derail Finishers where both players end up dying, and people want a fix for the issue. There’s been plenty of bugs and gameplay issues with Apex Legends’ supply ship over the seasons. People have reported everything from random spots that instantly kill players to the game trapping people on the ship. Another glitch that players have complained about but is still being seen in Apex has to do with the ship’s inability to carry players along with it during their Finishers at times. Finishers are executions that can be performed on downed opponents, during which both the attacker and opponent are locked in a brief animation. Apex Legends Supply Ship bug As such, Reddit user ‘Christ350’ experienced first-hand why using a Finisher on the supply ship is ill-advised seeing since the vehicle doesn’t always take the players with them. “I’ve been gunned down by enemies, blown up to pieces by grenades but it was the first time I’ve ever been lagged to death by a down enemy probably playing from the moon,” they said. The video they attached showed Loba and the enemy Wattson staying in place independently from the ship. After a moment, both players ended up getting killed. Christ350 said they were a seasoned player but this was still one of the strangest ways they had died in Apex Legends. Other players chimed in to explain what they believed was happening in the clip, that’s affected other people in the past. “It’s not the lag that killed you,” another person said. “Sometimes loot boxes or actions that prevent movement cause you to move on the drop ship so when it pulls you into the wall you just straight up die. I’ve had this happen with good internet.” Respawn Entertainment are always troubleshooting fixes where needed, and this is one of those issues players have been wanting to be sorted out for some time. There’s a lot of moving parts for these glitches and we’ll see if the Apex Legends devs work out a meaningful update to the problem soon.

Apex Legends devs finally respond to frustrating supply drop glitch – Dexerto
Apex Legends devs finally respond to frustrating supply drop glitch EAApex Legends players have discovered a terrible bug in-game, which appears to be preventing care packages from spawning in certain areas of King’s Canyon. Update 9/10/2019 2:35 PM Pacific: Respawn wasted no time and was out today with a fix to this issue Heads up, Legends! We pushed a patch live earlier this morning that fixed the issue with care packages not dropping as intended. — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) September 10, 2019 Much like other battle royale games, Apex Legends has had its fair share of bugs since its release back in February 2019 — from Pathfinder’s hit registration issues to the umpteen audio issues, things haven’t been plain sailing for the developers. In an update that came with the Voidwalker event on September 3, players were left without sound cues when landing into the game’s map. Now, another glitch is preventing players from accessing supply drops completely, despite it being a part of the event’s challenge list. Not to be confused with Lifeline’s Ultimate Ability (which drops a care package), the bug refers to the supply drops that randomly spawn throughout a match. This issue not only prevents the gripping aspect of weighing up the risk–reward of committing to looting a care package, it is also preventing players from completing their daily challenges, which has led to a state of disorder among the fanbase. Players who have experienced the bug have already began to flood into the r/apexlegends subreddit, voicing their concerns. The anger appears to be stemming from the inability to complete the daily challenge, with one user writing: “If you’re going to disable care packages, cool. But, please also disable the challenges asking you to interact with said care packages. At least the daily ones.” However, some players are still reporting sight of the packages, but are not hearing the corresponding sound cues. Another posted: “They are in regular Apex [gamemodes], they just aren’t announced anymore for some reason. I guess it’s our job to check the map after each ring to see the drops.” As of the time of writing, the team over at Respawn have not acknowledged the bug on their Trello board, where they often post about upcoming fixes for ongoing issues. Given the backlog of problems that the developers are currently facing, it might take some time before we see supply drops back in every game mode, but hopefully they won’t be away for too long.

Apex Legends supply bin on Olympus guarantees gold loot every time in Season 12 – Dexerto
Apex Legends supply bin on Olympus guarantees gold loot every time in Season 12 Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends loot bin on the revamped Olympus map is providing players with gold loot almost every match in Season 12, and it’s relatively easy to locate. Season 12 of Apex Legends has finally arrived and, as always, the community is exploring the revamped Olympus map for the best loot locations and landing spots. While players are often familiar with specific POIs that contain valuable loot, it’s very rare that they can pinpoint a specific bin that consistently provides top-tier items. Well, thanks to Apex Legends YouTuber The Gaming Merchant that seems to have changed in Defiance, as they’ve managed to locate a supply bin on the edge of the map that drops gold loot almost every single game. Olympus supply bin provides high-tier loot every match Although top-tier loot will never guarantee you victory, it certainly helps in skirmishes and gunfights, especially in the latter stages of a match. So, getting your hands on gold and purple loot at the beginning of a game can be a huge boost to your odds of winning. As a result, it may be time to check out a specific supply bin on Olympus located on the Northside of the Docks POI. Showcased by The Gaming Merchant on their second channel, the bin regularly provides top-tier loot and even gives him a whopping three gold items in his video. Remember, this supply bin is right on the edge of the map, so be prepared for a long run once you’ve got your hands on the loot. Keep in mind, it’s unlikely that this spot is going to remain quiet for very long, especially with The Gaming Merchant’s video currently sitting at over 170,000 views. So, if you’re thinking of dropping down onto this location be prepared for a fight, but if you do manage to pick up the items from the supply bin, it’s safe to say you’re on your way to victory.

Apex Legends Supply Bin bug makes quick looting nearly impossible – Dexerto
Apex Legends Supply Bin bug makes quick looting nearly impossible Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players are reporting a bug that makes looting out of Supply Bins almost impossible since the game isn’t registering the correct loot. People are noticing the occurrence happening a lot more after the Season 4 Assimilation update. The bug appears to highlight a different item than what the players’ cursors are hovering over. Dropping onto the World’s Edge map can be a hectic phase of a match since players are rummaging every nook and cranny for the best loot to equip themselves with for the firefights that could break out at a moment’s notice. A good look at the bug was given by Reddit user ‘____Maximus____’ that shows how the glitch can look in the game. The image clearly shows their cursor hovering over the R99 but the prompt that lets them switch out weapons is highlighting the Alternator just a couple of positions to the right of where they are looking. What’s more, there’s even a bundle of SMG rounds nestled between the two weapons, but the bug skips both the R99 and ammo for the gun on the opposite side. More players were giving their accounts of the bug, with some saying that the glitch can really throw off their chances of winning out in a fight. “YES, constantly,” user ‘rreapr’ said. “It’s almost impossible to pick up ammo sometimes, because it forces me to swap out my gun for the one next to the ammo instead… Super annoying, especially when I’m trying to snatch up ammo in the middle of an early-game fight because I’m half a mag away from starting to throw punches.” Since the release of Apex Legends, players have been perfecting their mechanics in the game. One of those techniques is quick recognition of the items in rooms and loot bins with precise movements to swiftly get what they need. The bug puts a wrench in that scheme seeing as they’d have to double back because the game made them pick up the wrong weapon or item. This kind of glitch is one of those small things that can have a big impact on a match, which could make it a high priority for the Apex Legends devs to fix.

Apex Legends superfan unveils amazing Loba cosplay made from scratch – Dexerto
Apex Legends superfan unveils amazing Loba cosplay made from scratch Respawn EntertainmentOne Apex Legends superfan has unveiled their epic Loba cosplay to praise from the community, explaining that it was made entirely from scratch. The Apex Legends community, since the BR’s launch back in 2019, has consistently proved itself to be among the most active and passionate in the gaming world. From skin concepts to designing new Legends from the ground up, players of Respawn’s title are always keen to show off their fandom. Now, one Apex Legends player has shared their Loba cosplay, perfectly replicating the Season 5 Legend in look and feel. Epic Loba cosplay “made from scratch” by Apex Legends fan It comes from user ‘biologer’, who shared it to the Apex Legends subreddit on January 26. The cosplay accurately captures the aesthetics of the Translocational Thief, including the knee-high boots, white and silver overalls and even the hairstyle. They said: “My Loba cosplay that I handmade from scratch!” Asked by fans for more details, the creator duly obliged. They explained how the boots were made, saying: “I used a plastic spatula to apply black 100% silicone caulk and a sponge to add purple-blue dragonfly glaze on top!” They also explained they’ve been making cosplays for five years, specifically designing them from scratch for the last three years. On Loba’s bracelet, it was revealed to come from another fan’s Etsy collection, using segments and elastic to be easily detachable and throwable, like Loba’s bracelet in-game. It’s certainly among the best Apex Legends cosplays we’ve seen, with other players flocking to upvote and share their appreciation of the outfit.

Apex Legends superfan recreates Wraith sound effects with firecrackers – Dexerto
Apex Legends superfan recreates Wraith sound effects with firecrackers Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legend player celebrated the 4th of July by rerecording Wraith’s ability sound effects using firecrackers and abs tubing. The Apex Legends community has created some pretty impressive fan projects over the years, including things like characters cosplays and heirloom recreations. Other fan projects like game mods have attempted to change the way players view Apex’s in-game content. Now, one fan has rerecorded Wraith’s Tactical and Ultimate ability sounds effects using nothing but firecrackers and abs tubing, and the resulting sound is incredible. Apex Legends recreates Wraith sound effects The post comes from Reddit user ‘tracksuitmusic‘ who posted the clip of the new sound effects on the Apex Legends subreddit. According to the title of the post, this Apex Legends fan wanted to celebrate the 4th of July in quite a unique way, using pyrotechnics as foley to mimic Wraith’s sound effects. The clips shows them in what appears to be a makeshift sound studio with multiple microphones surrounding an upright bit of abs tubing. Tracksuitmusic lights a firecracker and drops it into the abs tubing, which gives off an otherworldly sound, not unlike Wraith’s actual ability sounds in Apex Legends. It appears that the Apex Legend fan used two different types of firecrackers for the phase and portal ability sound effects, as the portal sound effect sounds much deeper and bassier than Wraith’s phase. Towards the end of the video, tracksuitgames implemented the newly recorded audio over Wraith’s phase and portal abilities, and the sounds admittedly fit pretty well. Reddit user ‘ApexToast‘ agreed, saying they think the tracksuitgames’ new audio “sounds better than the actual sound [effects].” Though it’s unclear if tracksuitgames plans on adding the new sound effects to Apex Legends in some modding capacity, their rerecorded audio stands out as one of the more interesting fan projects right now.

Apex Legends superfan gets incredible real-life Apex pack cake – Dexerto
Apex Legends superfan gets incredible real-life Apex pack cake Respawn Entertainment / Panic Button Games / Bluey__A talented mother has created a real-life Apex Legends Pack for her son’s 15th birthday and Reddit is obsessed with it. A recent Reddit post has shown off a mother’s fantastic Apex-Legends-inspired cake for her son’s 15th birthday. It’s in the style of Apex’s loot boxes, or Apex Packs, and commenters are obsessed with how good it is. Her son, the older brother of the birthday boy in question took to Reddit to post the cake on the Apex Legends subreddit and the post quickly spiraled into a variety of people commending the mother for her skills, love, and dedication to her son’s passions. Apex Packs are essentially loot boxes within Apex Legends and typically reveal random cosmetic items for you to collect and use. It’s a staple in the battle royale and is one of the most recognizable items in the game so it comes as no surprise that the mother would use one as a reference to design a cake. The detail and skill present within the design is fantastic and really seems like a lot of effort went into making this Apex super-fan happy. Some took to the comments to commend the mother on her efforts, explaining to the poster that “you can tell a lot of love, care and effort when into it. Cherish her”. It’s clear the mother is fully understanding of her son’s passions and is happy to put a lot of dedication into such a wonderfully designed cake. Other commenters took to the more jokey side, commenting on the fact that it “looks like he’s getting two blues”, in reference to the rarity of the items he will end up pulling from the loot box. Ultimately, this Apex superfan was likely extremely pleased with his cake and hopefully got a few gold items along with the blues.

Apex Legends strikepack cheater caught & mocked for “horrible” gameplay – Dexerto
Apex Legends strikepack cheater caught & mocked for “horrible” gameplay Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends strikepack user has been caught red-handed and mocked for their “horrible” gameplay by the community. Just like in any FPS, hackers are a huge problem in Apex Legends as they ruin the competitive integrity of matches. While the anti-cheat is capable of banning those using third-party software, there are unfair advantages players use that are harder for the system to detect. One of these is strikepacks, a device that can be attached to a controller to pull the trigger at unbelievable speeds. Although they’re useless on full-auto weapons, they give single-fire guns insane TTKs as they’re not designed to be shot that quickly. Well, a strikepacker was caught red-handed by the community, and players were surprised at how “horrible” their gameplay was. Apex Legends strikepack cheater caught red-handed Taking to the Apex Legends subreddit, user Nervous_Difficulty_6 posted a clip of a strikepack cheater they caught in the “wild”. After being eliminated by an enemy Wraith, Nervous_Difficulty_6 decided to spectate the player and quickly realized they were using a device to enhance their fire rate. Using the R-301 Carbine on single-fire mode, the Wraith was firing the gun so fast that it seemed to be breaking the audio and sounded incredibly strange. Not only that, the strikepacker looks like they had almost no recoil at all when shooting the weapon, which may have been third-party software or a feature of the device. After seeing the clip, the community quickly mocked the cheater’s “horrible” gameplay and couldn’t believe that someone could “still be that bad” while using a device on their controller. Others even pointed out that using the R-301 on single fire seems pointless at close range when the full auto mode would perform better. Either way, it’s clear all the users on the thread agree that “cheaters ruin the game”, and they want to see Respawn do more to combat them.

Apex Legends streamers show Ranked mode “falling apart” as cheaters run rampant – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamers show Ranked mode “falling apart” as cheaters run rampant Respawn/EAA number of Apex Legends streamers and content creators have been growing increasingly frustrated by the rise of cheaters in high-ranked lobbies, exposing quite a few hackers on social media. Just like most other multiplayer games, Apex Legends has had its fair share of issues with cheaters and hackers ruining matches. Respawn Entertainment have tried to root these cheaters out with multiple ban waves and changes to the battle royale, but plenty slip through the cracks still. It’s not uncommon to have a casual game or two ruined by an aim botter, but they’ve also been sneaking into Ranked matches as well, much to the frustration of some top-ranked players. Popular Apex player Christian ‘Nokokopuffs’ Feliciano questioned the current state of Ranked, saying the battle royale is “falling apart” as cheaters run riot. The former CLG pro showcased a clip from a recent game as he spectated a cheater who was using an aimbot to lock on to enemies from a ridiculous distance. “What is Ranked rn…. what is happening to Apex? It’s quite literally falling apart before our eyes and no ones saying s**t,” he said. “It’s all “Stop complaining streamer” but what the f**k?! This is getting ridiculous.” NRG’s Tanner ‘Rogue’ Trebb responded to Noko’s post saying “you’re telling me” before admitting Apex is in a “rough” place right now. G2’s Tyler ‘Dezignful’ Gardner offered up a solution akin to Counter-Strike prime matches where players pay for better matchmaking. “Apex ranked could cost $ and in return reward players with skins, ea coins, heirloom shards for their rank/placement of that season to help mitigate the cheater problem,” he suggested. Apex ranked could cost $ and in return reward players with skins,ea coins, heirloom shards for there rank/placement of that season to help mitigate the cheater problem — DSG Dezignful (@Dezignfull) June 17, 2021 Apex YouTuber CloverWzy also asked for cheaters to be addressed but noted that Ranked is also in need of a few other changes as well to make it enjoyable again. Nerf Bloodhound Nerf Octane pad Nerf Spitfire Rework Revenant Fix cheater problemsand ranked might actually be enjoyable😊 — CloverWzy (@CloverWzy) June 19, 2021 It’s clear that players are desperate for changes, but it remains to be seen if Respawn can get them rolled out. The devs did manage to address the DDOS issue that had been plaguing matches recently, but rooting out every cheater and hacker is a bigger task.

Apex Legends streamers call for Ranked split extension due to server issues – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamers call for Ranked split extension due to server issues ActivisionWith Apex Legends servers facing massive issues, several top players and streamers have called for the devs to extend the ongoing Ranked split so that the community doesn’t miss out on their goals or ranks in the current split. Following the 10.1 patch, Apex Legends has been facing a multitude of issues, but most of all the servers have become a serious problem. Many players have complained about the laggy gameplay and timeouts costing them ranks, making for some incredibly frustrating gameplay. While the Apex devs have since shared a weekend-long timeline for fixing the server issues from September 16 onwards, players want to ensure their Ranked efforts aren’t going to be simply lost in the void. An update on ongoing issues with @playapex stability: We’re ramping up our server capacity today and have some scheduled fixes for tomorrow. However, we believe some problems will require work through the weekend. Sincere apologies—we’re working as quickly as we can on a fix. — Respawn (@Respawn) September 16, 2021 Leading the charge are some of the top streamers and personalities in Apex. The latest 100 Thieves recruit NiceWigg was one of the first to request changes. Read More: When is the Apex Legends Halloween event? – “Ranked split HAS to be extended for those who aren’t playing Apex every day all day and are trying to hit a certain rank,” he demanded. Ranked split HAS to be extended for those who aren’t playing apex everyday all day and are trying to hit a certain ranked. — NiceWigg (@NiceWigg) September 16, 2021 This sentiment was echoed by NRG streamer Rogue. “People are wanting to achieve some ranks,” he said. “This is probably frustrating for them, people don’t play every day — it’s the least you could do!” Lets get a ranked extension Apex, people are wanting to achieve some ranks. This is probably frustrating for them, people don’t play everyday- it’s the least you could do! — Rogue (@TTrebb) September 16, 2021 Meanwhile, Lululuvely put her thoughts very simply, putting out a tweet urging Respawn to #extendthesplit. Whether the current Ranked split does get extended remains to be seen, but Respawn have made it clear they’re planning to implement fixes until servers are back to normal. Needless to say, many players will be very disappointed if the ranked split doesn’t get extended.

Apex Legends streamer Taxi unbanned, but Respawn yet to fix glitch he was banned for – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer Taxi unbanned, but Respawn yet to fix glitch he was banned for Twitter: TaxiDLegend / Respawn EntertainmentPopular Apex Legends streamer Svend-Erik ‘Taxi2g’ Høegh is just about to be freed by Respawn, returning to the battle royale. He was banned for abusing the ‘ult dash’ glitch to fly across the map — a bug that hasn’t been fixed as of his return. Taxi’s month-long ban from Apex Legends should be ending soon — at least that’s what he says based on messages between him and Respawn anti-cheat developer Conor ‘Hideouts’ Ford. However, the one movement glitch that got him banned from the Respawn battle royale title still exists in the game. Høegh was banned on stream for abusing a ‘ult dash’ glitch that saw him fly across the Apex Games at supersonic speed. He was then banned multiple times on new accounts as he tried to evade his ban, with Respawn chasing him down each time. XD thanks for keeping apex a fair and fun game for all! 🟩 pic.twitter.com/NbD1xA0upO — Taxi2g (@TaxiDLegend) January 13, 2022 The glitch works by starting the Ultimate animation, hitting the melee key, and then swapping weapons. It doesn’t just work on Caustic — who Taxi primarily used it on — but also Bangalore, Gibraltar, and anyone with a deployable ultimate as such. The first thing Taxi did when he got unbanned? Test the glitch; and funnily enough after jumping into the Firing Range, it still exists in Season 12. He didn’t actually jump into any games on his stream (his ban hadn’t quite been lifted yet), instead choosing to fly around as Pathfinder to get his movement up to scratch. However, he did notice some of his signature mechanics felt a bit off. “How do you play this game,” he joked after coming back on. “This game is so bad. You can tap strafe, but they completely ruined air strafing.” He’s also not worried about getting banned again, even when he starts pushing the limits of Apex Legends’ movement. Taxi’s ban is set to lapse sometime on February 12, a few days after the Season 12 launch.

Apex Legends streamer TannerSlays explains why SBMM is “zero fun” – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer TannerSlays explains why SBMM is “zero fun” Skill-based matchmaking in Apex Legends has stood as a point of contention with many of players in the community, and Twitch streamer Tanner ‘TannerSlays’ Roach is among them. Hit titles like Fortnite integrated skill-based matchmaking in their systems to improve the quality of play on casual servers, and Apex followed suit at the tail end of Season 2. At the time, Senior Systems Developer Eric ‘Ghost’ Hewitt said “indisputable evidence” suggested SBMM helped with player retention in matches – but it has since resulted in players feeling that the game has gotten too “sweaty.” During his December 12 stream, TannerSlays gave his side of the SBMM debate, seeing as the Team SoloMid player has been experiencing a noticeable change in the quality of games outside of Ranked playlists. “Everything is so serious [compared to before], it’s like R-99, Peacekeeper, fight to the death,” Tanner said. “If you lose, it gets super toxic. There’s no room to have fun.” Ranked playlists have the high-octane action that competitive players look to thrive in, but it’s in the casual modes of the game where people typically go to experience entertainment over honing their skills. However, SBMM has made it so that even in the casual playlists, players find themselves in environments that keep them on their toes rather than kicking back and relaxing, according to Tanner. “Zero fun, sweat or die,” Tanner said. “You have to try your heart out every single game, or you’re not having fun… I wish it wasn’t in the game, and we can go back to having fun.” The streamer noted that before the implementation of SBMM, the game “flourished,” and content creators were able to actually have fun – leading to a healthy viewership among Apex audiences. “It was an amazing game to watch, content was at an all-time high, viewership was at an all-time high,” Tanner said. “When you literally could hop on with your friends and do whatever. Go for clips, have really sick clutches; the content creators were having fun. Now with skill-based matchmaking, everything seems like sweat or die.” With a big Holo-Day Bash Christmas event reportedly on the way, fans are sure to be interested to see if Respawn decide to scale back the SBMM in Apex Legends.

Apex Legends streamer SweetDreams gets high-ranked hackers banned live on stream – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer SweetDreams gets high-ranked hackers banned live on stream Respawn EntertainmentChristopher ‘sweetdreams’ Sexton got a set of Master-tier Apex Legends hackers banned live on stream after running into them in Ranked. Apex Legends is a competitive game at its core and the majority of players who dive down into the Outlands are looking to take home the victory. This desire to win is amplified in Ranked, as your performance and placement determine the number of points you lose or gain at the end of a match. While some players spend hours honing their skills, others prefer to take shortcuts and cheat using third-party software. Although this often goes under the radar, running into a streamer can be costly, as it’s usually obvious when an enemy is using hacks. Well, that’s exactly what happened to a group of cheaters who ran into SweetDreams in Ranked. After being caught on camera, an Apex dev swiftly banned their accounts live on stream. Whole squad of cheaters banned live in SweetDreams stream During his October 5 stream, Sweet and his squad were eliminated by an enemy team in Ranked, and something didn’t seem quite right with their gameplay. It didn’t take the Apex pro long to figure out that all three players were cheating and after spectating them for a while, he decided to take action. Messaging Respawn dev Conor ‘Hideouts’ Ford, Sweet notified Security Analyst about the hackers and he was quick to bring down the hammer on all of them. Loba was the first to be banned live on stream and realizing they were next, both the Horizon and Pathfinder began waiting around until it was their turn. While it’s great to see high-ranked cheaters banned off the ladder, two of these accounts appeared to be relatively new. This means these hackers will likely just jump onto another account and continue unfairly climbing the ladder. Despite this, it’s always satisfying to see cheaters banned live on stream and it was great to see Sweet notify Respawn almost immediately.

Apex Legends streamer stunned by the true extent of in-game hacking – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer stunned by the true extent of in-game hacking Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends streamer was bewildered to find a squad of hackers who used basically every cheat available on their way to a Champion screen. Typically hackers try to at least conceal their cheats so they don’t get outright banned, but streamer ‘AndySlaps’ couldn’t believe what he was seeing while spectating a hacking team – but he was even more surprised that they weren’t banned. After seeing what the hackers were doing, the streamer decided to shadow the player while “casting” their game to truly capture the absurdity of the gameplay unfolding before him. Throughout multiple moments in the clip, AndySlaps couldn’t believe how the cheats escalated to include speed hacking, ultimate cooldown resets, aim cheats, and instant shield batteries – just to name a few. “This guy is literally ice-skating,” AndySlaps said before switching over to full-on commentator mode. “You know what, I think this guy is legit, and he’s so good, I’m even going to cast this game.” It was a mystery to see the hacker’s account in the same lobby as AndySlaps at all since the streamer achieved the Apex Predator rank and the cheater is only Bronze four. But the satirical banter of the streamer-turned-caster showed how ‘impressed’ he was of the hacker’s “raw and incredible skills.” The Apex community was equally astonished, and the laughs turned into calls of help from Respawn to come in with a fix to the hacker problem in the game. “This is the craziest thing I have ever seen in Masters/Predator Queue,” AdamSlaps said. “So I logged off and my friend continued to queue. He said he ran into another 7-8 People using whatever insane client was used in the first clip… I hope someone at Respawn sees this and can help in some way.” The battle royale has had a long history with hackers, but more players have been reporting “a massive influx of cheaters that seem to have popped up in the past 48 hours,” according to the streamer. Whether it was a new type of hack or a vulnerability in the Apex Legends backend, the community will look forward to a fix from Respawn to keep the cheaters in check.

Apex Legends streamer shows how to outplay opponents with Lifeline’s shield – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer shows how to outplay opponents with Lifeline’s shield respawn entertainmentProfessional battle royale player Adam ‘Apex Legends. Apex Legends has a variety of characters that can be played with unique abilities, and they can often be difficult to counter as a Lifeline player who primarily provides healing for their teammates. However, Twitch streamer and pro Crunch managed to make full use of the Combat Medic’s ability kit, perfectly displaying how to outplay any opponent. While Lifeline is not usually known for her ability to rack up kills in-game, Crunch found a way to utilize the Legend’s passive shield, which appears when reviving a teammate, in the best way possible. The former PUBG and Fortnite pro quickly dispatched of an opponent with his peacekeeper before going to revive one of his teammates and after seeing another enemy approaching him, Crunch chose against engaging in a gunfight and simply relocated the shield. Realizing he couldn’t get a clear shot the enemy player tried circling the FlyQuest streamer, only for Crunch to keep changing the shield’s angle by canceling each of the revives on his downed teammate. Crunch eventually managed to pick up the kill by getting shots in when the enemy least expected it, making perfect use of Lifeline’s passive shield to confuse the opponent. After numerous canceled revives, Crunch finally saw one through and picked up the downed Wraith player on his team before continuing on with the game. Crunch is not the first to make use of Lifeline’s shield in this way, as one Apex Legends player has previously done similarly by only using their fists. One of the best #ApexLegends clips we’ve ever seen :raised_hands: pic.twitter.com/mMAvsZMqys — Apex Legends News (@TitanfallBlog) October 1, 2019 Although the trick seemed to work well for Crunch, the one flaw is that it requires one of your teammates to be downed in order for you to try it out. It also means that if the trick fails to work out, it would likely result in a quick squad wipe for the enemy player on you and your teammates. There may be more good news for Lifeline mains as it was revealed that the legend may have her own heirloom set coming to Apex Legends soon after a leak from data miners.

Apex Legends streamer shows how to completely outplay “banner campers” – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer shows how to completely outplay “banner campers” Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends streamer ‘BulletLL’ showed a brilliant way to get around “banner campers” by using Wraith’s portals to bait and displace his opponents. BulletLL was in a precarious situation since he had to collect both of his teammates’ banners that were being heavily guarded by the last remaining team on the map. As a lone Wraith, the streamer thought to use his portal in a unique way to bamboozle the enemy team who were confident in their chances of winning a 1v3. “They’re just f***ing waiting,” his teammate can be heard saying. “Like at the end of the [platform] with three L-Stars.” As the teammate described the obstacles that lay before him, the cool-headed streamer took the challenge in stride. Not breaking his composure and reassuring his team that “it’s alright. We win these.” They climbed up the balloon but before launching from the apex of the zipline, they jumped off right before the top. Once mid-air, they activated their ultimate, leaving one entrance to the Dimensional Rift suspended high above the ground. He quickly made his way to his fallen teammates’ death boxes and put down the other side of the ult and immediately ran back through it. The other team immediately followed into the portal, but that’s exactly what BulletLL was hoping for. After coming out of the other end, the streamer took a zipline to launch himself to the boxes. Meanwhile, all three banner campers went on the chase but weren’t aware that they were about to plunge from a high drop. In Apex, there isn’t any fall damage, but the tactic managed to give BulletLL the window they needed to recover their teammates’ banner. The play was a creative way to use Wraith’s Ultimate ability, which came to a surprise to others who didn’t know it could be placed like that. “Didn’t even know her Rift can be placed like that in mid air!” Reddit user ‘Chiefixis’ said. “This is definitely going to help me out with some strats when playing [Wraith].” The streamer’s outplay was an incredible example of how Apex Legends rewards creative maneuvers that could be game-changing depending on the situation.

Apex Legends streamer shares incredible tricks in Pathfinder grapple guide – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer shares incredible tricks in Pathfinder grapple guide Respawn EntertainmentDespite Pathfinder’s popularity, many Apex Legends players don’t know how to get the most out of his tactical ability. Thankfully, content creator ‘Cau7ioN’ has revealed some incredible tricks you can pull off with the friendly MRVN’s grapple. While Pathfinder’s pick rate in Apex Legends dropped off in Season 5 after he was slapped with some serious nerfs, the lovable robot made a strong comeback in subsequent seasons by way of ability buffs and the removal of his low profile designation. After a strong resurgence, he’s found his way back into the Legend rotation for plenty of players during Season 9 — but those who stepped away from the character in Season 5, or are just new to the game, might not know how to get the most out of the MRVN’s kit. Thankfully, Apex Legends content creator Cau7ioN broke down some advanced movement techniques that you can start practicing to set yourself above the rest of the Pathfinder playing field, and to help you dominate your competition in both Arenas and Battle Royale. In his video covering these advanced techniques, the content creator shows off several different methods of using Pathfinder’s grapple ability that go above and beyond your typical aerial movement affair. Some of his tricks, like the Under Swing and Grapple Hop maneuvers, might seem fairly straightforward, while others are truly incredible feats of game sense, timing, and pure skill that most Pathfinder players probably can’t pull off — at least, not without practicing for a while. One of his advanced moves is dubbed the Ceiling Fan, which functions in practice exactly how it sounds: you need to grapple a point near the center of a room, then spin yourself around the area before landing right back where you started, leaving your opponents in a daze. Another impressive maneuver is the Zipline Jump. In this instance, Cau7ioN deploys his Zipline ultimate ability directly next to an enemy team, then uses it to bounce, jump, and disorient his opponents, leaving them confused and open to easy takedowns. Yet another clever trick the creator showcases is the Stairs Grapple. Instead of running up a flight of stairs to confront an opponent above you, simply grapple underneath the staircase and swing yourself up instantly, catching your enemies off guard for a quick elimination. For a breakdown of every move, make sure to check Cau7ioN’s guide video on Reddit, which has been a major hit with the Apex community, racking up more than 15k upvotes at the time of writing. Whether you’re a novice looking to improve, or a veteran wanting to add a few more tricks to their arsenal, Cau7ioN’s techniques are an excellent addition to any Pathfinder main’s repertoire. In the meantime, make sure to check back in for here all the latest updates on Apex Legends Season 10.

Apex Legends streamer Rogue gets whole squad of Pred cheaters banned – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer Rogue gets whole squad of Pred cheaters banned Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends streamer Tanner ‘Rogue’ Trebb ran into a squad of Predator cheaters in Ranked and decided to take action by getting them banned. While the majority of players in Apex Legends hone their gunskill in the Firing Range and master a specific Legend after countless hours of practice, others prefer to take shortcuts. This usually comes in the form of third-party software, which gives cheaters an unfair advantage over their opponents. Although hackers can be found in pubs, most of them are competing in Ranked and even make it into high-ranked tiers on the ladder. Well, popular Apex Legends streamer Rogue ran into a squad of Predator cheaters on stream and after being eliminated by them, he decided to take action. Rogue gets Predator hackers banned in Apex Legends During a recent stream, Rogue was playing Ranked in Predator on Storm Point when he ran into a suspicious set of enemies. The team immediately wiped Rogue’s entire squad and seemed to be landing every single bullet on target with ease. Of course, after spectating them, Rogue realized that they were cheating and instead of leaving and heading into the next game, he decided to take action. Contacting Security Analyst Conor ‘Hideouts’ Ford at Respawn, it didn’t take long for the hammer to be brought down on the cheaters. Watching the suspension happen live, Rogue spectated as each of the hackers were handed out permanent bans from Apex. Their ban, of course, brought a smile to Rogue’s face and his teammates even celebrated by saying “see you later boys” as their death boxes appeared on the ground. While Predator cheaters being suspended is always good news, it does highlight how much of a problem hackers are becoming in Ranked. Fingers crossed Respawn enhance their anti-cheat in the near future, so streamers don’t have to rely on manual bans.

Apex Legends streamer pulls off insane kills using only voice-control – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer pulls off insane kills using only voice-control Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends provides players with tons of ways to enjoy the game, but one streamer went above and beyond the norm by using voice-operated controls to scream at other players — killing them in the process. Season 13 of Respawn Entertainment’s long-running battle royale shooter has featured the traditional ups and downs of Legend pick rates, some frustrating lag and hit detection issues that continue to go unfixed, and even murmurs of a potential boycott. Amidst all the chaos and kerfuffle of the latest Apex Legends season, one streamer has decided to ignore all of this and produce some truly unique, and loud, content the likes of which we’ve not seen before in Apex Legends. Streamer cranks up the volume in Apex Legends Season 13 A streamer by the name of rudeism decided to dispense with the traditional methods of playing the game and instead bring out finger guns and a modified microphone. In the absence of a proper shoot button, the streamer was forced to scream into his microphone to fire his gun, and even managed to secure some preposterous kills by doing this. His go-to trigger to do this was the word “BRR” with many more r’s thrown in for good measure. At one point during the clip, the streamer took down the game’s current Champion and shouted: “Oh my god! This is so dumb. This is my favorite thing in the world.” I played @PlayApex using finger guns & voice activated shooting, and it kinda works???? let’s see if it gets me through this week of @goodgame_asia 😂 pic.twitter.com/cdIhpKXAYW — Rudeism (@rudeism) July 5, 2022 As well as going viral across social media, the insane compilation of kills was also noticed by Respawn Entertainment’s Senior Producer Josh Medina who said: “We saw this video during our company meeting today. This was F’n dope, I think it’s my fav Apex video of 2022 (so far). We saw this video during our company meeting today.. This was F’n dope i think its my fav apex video of 2022 (so far) — Josh Medina (@lowkeydbjosh) July 5, 2022 rudeism was clearly thrilled with the honor, saying: “During the company meeting?! Haha, super stoked you liked it! I might have to work on a few refinements I thought up.” This reply begs one big question, if voice-activated shooting and finger guns aren’t the end of the line, where will the streamer take the insane concept next?

Apex Legends streamer permanently banned after bragging about exploit – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer permanently banned after bragging about exploit Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends Streamer goaded the developers to ban him after using an exploit, and Respawn’s Senior Producer granted his wish. In early January, Chris Bruzzo, EA Chief Officer, claimed banning cheaters is at the top of the Apex team’s priority list. Bruzzo elaborated that eliminating cheating is one of the best ways to reduce toxicity in games. Improvements to anti-cheat is something that the Apex community has sought for a while, and members of the development team has even taken matters into their own hands. Respawn Entertainment Senior Producer Josh Medina is active on social media and keeps a his hand on the pulse of what’s going on within the community. So when an Apex Legends streamer dared the developers to ban him for using an exploit, Medina immediately sprung into action. Apex Legends streamer permanently banned for config exploit Apex Legends streamer TylerHiits called out fellow streamer MOOMAN for “borderline cheating.” TylerHiits explained that MOOMAN was using “something in configs that give him a clear advantage with the gun not blocking anything on the screen.” TylerHiits elaborated that the exploit only removes gun clutter from the screen and doesn’t actually make the user invisible. MOOMAN added, “let me relive season 0-1, I don’t care if I get banned.” Medina responded, “bet,” and proceeded to issue a permanent ban to the streamer’s account. MOOMAN was shocked by the ban and claimed, “no one has ever been banned for configs, and all exploit bans I have seen have been small short bans. That’s what I was expecting, if anything.” Not many people in the comment section sympathized with the streamer, as community members believed MOOMAN got what he asked for. We will provide an update on the situation and if the developers decide to change the initial ruling.

Apex Legends streamer responds to aimbotting accusations following “one in a million shot” – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer responds to aimbotting accusations following “one in a million shot” Apex Legends streamer Ottr has responded to claims that he was ‘aimbotting’ on-stream after hitting a miraculous shot in front of his Twitch viewers. Since the game launched on February 4, Apex Legends – like many multiplayer titles – has had its fair share of cheaters running riot on the servers. Respawn has banned an eye-watering amount of hackers already, with plans in place to combat them even further with learning software. Yet, it might take a little bit longer to perfect automated banning based on cheating behavior after one streamer was incorrectly banned. During his July 25 stream, Swedish broadcaster Ottr had been competing in an online tournament when he hit a remarkable set of shots on two opposing players after vaulting over a railing. The Swede was immediately unsure of what had just happened and was left with a suspicious look on his face – staring back and forth between his game and stream. After he told his chat to not clip that moment, some viewers immediately did and posted it to the Apex Legends and Livestream Fails subreddits with allegations of aimbotting. Yet, moments after his game had finished, the streamer explained how it wasn’t cheating and an almost one in a million shot thanks to the vaulting. “I hit the vault, and then I hit him,” ottr stated. “That’s the luckiest, fuck those 500-meter shots – that’s the real one in a million shot. Holy shit.” After the clip had gone viral on Reddit, with further claims of cheating, the Swede stepped in to defend himself – especially as suspicions about the moment ramped up due to his initial reaction. He added: “Some people raised concerns about my reaction and my alt-tabbing. I react like that all the time when I do sus shit and I’m currently looking through my clips trying to find some other ones when I say the same thing. I alt-tabbed to create a stream marker so I could clip it myself later cause I thought it was fun.” Due to the nature of the shot, and the claims made across multiple subreddit, Ottr was initially banned from the game for under an hour by one of the Respawn developers. However, after fighting his case, the Swede was unbanned by another member of the team and didn’t even have to go through the usual appeals methods. Hi there, normally I’d ask you to follow the appeals process by going here ( https://t.co/jollrwAz91 ) but I understand the extenuating circumstances. Ban has been revoked, we’ve talked to the dev who did the manual banning. Thanks for your patience! 🙂 — Chin Xiang Chong (@tangentiallogic) July 26, 2019 It remains to be seen how the Respawn devs will respond to false accusations in the future, especially when their cheating behavior learning system is up and running.

Apex Legends streamer Nokokopuffs claims controller is superior “in every way” – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer Nokokopuffs claims controller is superior “in every way” Respawn / NokokopuffsApex Legends streamer Christian ‘Nokokopuffs’ Feliciano has claimed that controller is superior in “every way” to keyboard and mouse, after a concerted stint with a controller. The mouse and keyboard versus controller debate is nothing new, in any game or esport. In Apex Legends, it perpetually revolves around movement and aim assist. MnK famously does not offer aim assist, whereas controller players do receive it to balance out the lack of precision from joysticks. While there are likely to be disagreements on the matter until the end of time, it has been claimed previously that controller Apex is easier than MnK. Now, former TSM member Nokokopuffs has sided with that opinion, claiming controller Apex is superior in almost every sense. Nokokopuffs claims Apex Legends is easier on controller in “every way” While he has generally played Apex on MnK, January 12 saw him drop into a series of matches while rocking a controller, albeit through his PC rather than a console. His verdict was unequivocal: “Okay, I get it now. Controller on Apex is just better in every way besides movement. I’m having fun just one-clipping absolutely everything. If nothing changes I wouldn’t be surprised if in a year Apex competitive will be 80% [controller] if not 100%.” Some responded to argue that recoil control is another aspect that is easier on MnK, but Noko disagreed. “The entire pro league controller players would disagree,” he said, “they fry mid range and do just fine in the long range.” He explained that he was able to dominate based off his existing “game knowledge” alone, sharing a clip of him taking down enemies with ease. “For everyone who doesn’t understand,” he said, “I have about 15 hours of controller experience or less on apex. All I have is game knowledge.” Despite the streamer’s verdict falling clearly in the ‘controller is OP’ camp, the debate will be no closer to a resolution.

Apex Legends streamer NiceWigg shaves head in the name of charity – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer NiceWigg shaves head in the name of charity Apex Legends streamer Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin shaved his head on camera as a result of raising over $10,000 for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As a reward for reaching 10,000 donations on stream, NiceWigg shaved off his luscious locks, which his viewers were greatly looking forward to. He was able to cross this donation threshold thanks to a timely host from DrLupo, who was coming off his own charity stream for St. Jude. DrLupo raised over $2 million for St Jude’s during his 24-hour stream, including a massive $1 million donation from Twitch near the end of the broadcast. Ninja, TimTheTatman, and many other viewers and streamers were able to chip in to help Lupo raise all of that money. NiceWigg was very grateful for the host and thanked DrLupo with a heartfelt message. “DrLupo thank you for the host,” he tweeted. From the bottom of me and my mom’s heart thank you. I appreciate you and all you done, absolutely mind blown.” https://twitter.com/NiceWigg/status/1210237855894851584 While raising money for charity is enough of an incentive for many people, some like to have milestones to aim for, which is why the CLG pro offered to shave his head. After he buzzed his hair off, he couldn’t help but notice his uncanny resemblance to pro skateboarder Tony Hawk. For those out of the loop, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital focuses on children with cancer. As part of their mission to help heal children with cancer, they do not charge their patients’ parents massive medical bills as other hospitals are notorious for in the United States. Instead, they rely on their income, 75% of it to be exact, through donations like this which makes these charity streams all the more impressive. On top of that, St. Jude says the daily operating cost is $2.2 million, which means Lupo’s entire 24-hour stream was only enough to cover a day. Obviously, they receive donations from many other sources but it is eye-opening to see how much money they really need. If you’d like to donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital yourself then you are able to do so here.

Apex Legends streamer NiceWigg explains why deranking needs to be added – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer NiceWigg explains why deranking needs to be added 100 Thieves/RespawnApex Legends streamer Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin has explained why the battle royale needs to have a deranking system within ranked play as it’ll solve some of the major headaches with the mode. While plenty of Apex Legends players are happy to settle for the casual battle royale experience, there are those that want to take it to the next level and stand atop some leaderboards. That’s where Ranked comes into play. Ranked Leagues has always been the place to find the best of the best and like the main battle royale mode, has also seen a fair few changes with the distribution of ranks and points regularly coming under the microscope. Everyone wants to reach the upper ranks – the diamond and Apex Predator levels – but that’s a tricky task. Plenty of fans race to get to the top and then won’t play for the rest of the split, reserving their place and taking it away from someone else. This has always annoyed players who have the talent to reach the top levels but can’t do so because the spots are taken by players who may not even play Apex anymore. It’s led to plenty of calls for changes, including the idea of a progressive points decay for inactive players, and NiceWigg believes the battle royale would benefit from the addition of deranking. “We need deranking because I’m tired of people’s games getting ruined because of a Diamond 4 team or Masters team just full-on int’ing everybody because they have nothing to lose,” he said. “Whether you’re solo queue or not, you have to realize that a majority of the people ruining your games are probably those people.” He noted that some people just want the “bragging rights” of being at the top but having “nothing to lose” means the experience for others just gets ruined. Of course, not everyone is like this, and there are plenty of players in the top levels that play to improve but having the threat of consequences hanging over the head of those that don’t may help reinvigorate Ranked play.

Apex Legends streamer mocks wife’s accent after going viral for berating her – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer mocks wife’s accent after going viral for berating her EA / TwitchAn Apex Legends streamer who went viral after berating his wife live on Twitch for a second time has now been spotted mocking her accent on stream. The streamer, who goes by the name of officialglockoma, has been condemned twice now by members of the Apex community for the way he speaks to his wife on camera. The first incident was in May 2022, where he admitted she picks at her knuckles until they bleed, and the second came in October. The latest case saw him scream at his significant other with little to no comeback, following up with some controversial justification. Twitch streamer goes viral berating his wife for second time After getting called out by users in his Twitch chat, he said: “I treat my wife amazingly, thank you very much. “You wanna know more about my wife and the country she is from? And how she knows how women are actually treated, compared to the free world of Western society? “Why don’t you go to her channel and f**king ask her. You all need a big reality check, man.” According to public profiles, his wife is from Punjab, India, originally. In a later clip, which has since been deleted by MrsgLockoma on her Twitch channel, her husband can be seen mocking her pronunciation. In the comments to the clip above, one user said: “Why is she with this guy?! Unbelievable!” Another tweeted: “That’s a yikes.” Twitch viewers may remember GreekGodx, one of the biggest streamers on the platform, was banned for “hateful conduct” after it was alleged in July that he mocked the way a family was speaking in an IRL stream. Whether or not officialglockoma will face similar action remains to be seen.

Apex Legends streamer Mendo banned for ‘cheating’ – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer Mendo banned for ‘cheating’ Team Liquid/RespawnApex Legends streamer and former pro Lucas ‘Mendo’ Håkansson has been banned from the battle royale game, with one of his accounts punished for “cheating”. When Apex Legends was still in its infancy, Mendo was widely considered one of the very best in the game, regularly winning tournaments and putting on a show. While he hasn’t competed much since early 2020, Mendo is still a supremely skilled player, regularly capable of making high-ranked players look like your average Joe. With the cheating issue running rampant in rival battle royale Warzone, Respawn and EA are obviously staying very hot on the issue, and Mendo has been caught in their line of fire. On September 21, Mendo tweeted out a screenshot of an email he received from EA, clearly baffled by the situation. The email read: “We noticed that your EA account broke EA’s gameplay rules. Because your account was cheating, we’ve permanently blocked your access to Apex Legends’ online features.” In his tweet, Mendo said: “One of my @PlayApex accounts got banned for cheating! Awesome! I’m so glad they’re keeping the servers safe.” One of my @PlayApex accounts got banned for cheating! awesome! I’m so glad they’re keeping the servers safe 😇 — Liquid Mendo (@Mendo) September 22, 2021 It’s unclear what exactly led to EA banning Mendo for cheating. Of course, it’s possible he actually was cheating, but many seem in agreement that this isn’t the case. Fortunately, as Mendo specifies, this is only on “one of” his accounts, so he’s still able to play and stream the game when he wants to. He’ll be hoping not to face a ban on his main account as a result.

Apex Legends streamer Mande blasts Respawn for “miserable” state of the game – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer Mande blasts Respawn for “miserable” state of the game Respawn EntertainmentTSM streamer Mikkel ‘Mande’ Hestbek says he wants to return to playing Apex Legends competitively, but he’s got a few issues with the changes Respawn has made to the battle royale. As with every esport across the board, there are a number of pros who decide to do something else after a stint competing – be that moving to another game completely or just playing a little more casually. In the case of Mande, the Danish star has represented a number of different teams in the past few years, but hasn’t competed since the 2023 ALGS Split 1 Playoffs in London. There, he played for Alliance, but has since switched to being a sub and streaming under the TSM umbrella instead. He has revealed that he’d like to compete again at some point, but he wants Respawn to change a few things up first. Mande wants to compete in Apex Legends but needs to see changes first The topic of competing again came up during a recent stream, where some viewers questioned if Mande has lost the “passion” to compete. “I didn’t lose my passion for comp, they just don’t know to make a f*cking game,” the Dane said. “Do I miss comp? I do. But, I’m not going to play it until they know how to make a proper f*cking game. “Why would I play comp right now and make myself miserable and f*cking depressed because I have to play this game every single day and do my best and be the best? And then you have to sit and play Seer and the same f*cking guns over again because it’s the most OP dogs*it they ever added to the game.” He also agreed with ImperialHal’s take that the recent Seer nerfs actually turned around to buff the Recon legend which will ultimately need to be addressed before long. Mande further noted that he’d get stuck back into his grind toward Predator when Respawn adds a “good system” for it. So, we’ll have to wait and see how long that takes exactly.

Apex Legends streamer makes history with 200k kills on one Legend – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer makes history with 200k kills on one Legend Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends streamer ‘abusing_r2’ has become the first player ever to reach 200,000 kills on a single Legend and he’s done it on Mirage. Picking up kills on Apex Legends is a lot more difficult than other FPS titles given the game’s slower TTK, consumables, and various regenerative abilities. So racking up over 1,000 kills on one Legend is a sign that you’ve put in a lot of practice on that character and are familiar with the intricacies of their kit. Well, one Apex streamer has taken it to another level in terms of mastery and dedication, becoming the first-ever player to reach 200,000 kills on a single Legend. Apex Legends streamer hits 200,000 kills on Mirage On January 12, Apex Legends streamer abusing_r2 became the first-ever player to reach 200,000 kills on one Legend. Along their journey to reach the 200k goal, they managed to rack up over 47 million damage and a whopping 240,000 headshots. The Mirage main finally reached the milestone after an unbelievable amount of grinding and even took to Twitter to thank their viewers for all the support. First person to hit 200k on one legend. I wanna say thank you to everyone that supported me thru this grind. I wouldn’t have made it this far without y’all. Thank you @PlayApex for changing my life. pic.twitter.com/gJIT3iAe0f — soBuzey (@abusing_r2) January 12, 2022 Of course, abusing_r2 didn’t miss the opportunity to stream the incredible achievement and share the moment with all of their viewers. Finishing off the final opponent with a RE-45 on Storm Point, everyone in their chat quickly rushed to congratulate them on the massive milestone. Luckily, abusing_r2 didn’t have to work too hard for the kill as someone they knew gifted them the 200,000th elimination so they could enjoy the moment. It’ll be interesting to see what abusing_r2 decides to do next and whether they decide to continue raising the bar and grinding more kills. Either way, it doesn’t look like the Mirage main will be getting tired of the Holographic Trickster anytime soon, so it’s likely that 300k is only a matter of time.

Apex Legends streamer loses his mind after encountering blatant hacker – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer loses his mind after encountering blatant hacker Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends streamer shivfps lost his mind after he witnessed a hacker snap from player to player on their way to claiming a victory. Hacking, cheating, or just getting an unfair leg-up is one of the worst things you can encounter in a multiplayer title as it can very much ruin your experience – be it as a casual newbie who is trying a game out for the first time or an experienced pro who has already climbed the mountain. It’s made worse, though, when you fall into the latter category and you’re supposed to be separated away from cheaters through systems like skill-based matchmaking and ranked mode just like Apex Legends has. So, it was pretty understandable that shivfps absolutely lost his mind when he witnessed a pretty blatant cheater in his high-level game. “What f**king losers dude, holy sh*t, ridiculous,” he said during his January 4 stream as he watched the final few moments. “You’ve got aimbot anyway, you’ll win every f**king fight,” shiv added after sending in a report for aim-locking. As the player in question started snapping back and forth between players moments later, the streamer completely lost it. “Holy sh*t, oh my god man, holy f**k he’s the best player in the f**king game,” he yelled, before taking his rage up a level. “Holy sh*t, rank one. Rank f**king one player dude! Holy sh*t, get the f**k out of here – someone sign this f**king man up. Disgusting man. Best player in the f**king game, holy sh*t. Best player in the f**king world man.” Now, considering he has video evidence to go alongside his multiple in-game reports, shiv could very well see something done about this hacker in question. Whether or not Respawn will further crackdown on the exploits – like they have done since the game launched and avoided a bit of an epidemic – very much remains to be seen.

Apex Legends streamer hits jaw-dropping backflip to counter Kraber – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer hits jaw-dropping backflip to counter Kraber Respawn EntertainmentApex streamer Jankz stunned viewers after hitting a ridiculous backflip dodge over a Kraber bullet in a duos game on World’s Edge. The Kraber is one of the most deadly weapons in all of Apex Legends. Thanks to its 3x damage multiplier for headshots, it is the only gun in the game that can eliminate a player with a single shot. That’s what makes this dodge from Jankz such a stunning play, as he baits an enemy into shooting at him just to unveil that he was ready for the aggression all along. Jankz hits unbelievable backflip to dodge a Kraber in Apex Legends The stage was set for this moment when the streamer and his duo ITemp chased a team into a building after the duo spotted an empty care package. After a moment of fighting, Jankz gets hit with a Kraber bullet and calls it out to let his friend know what’s going on. More fighting ensues and the duo collects a knock on Octane before preparing to push the opposing sniper. After a brief standoff at a closed door, Jankz anticipates the opposing Wattson’s next move and lands a perfectly timed backflip to avoid the incoming bullet. There were a number of stunned reactions, but one user commented that it was only right for Jankz to pull this off given his history of making ridiculous plays: “Watched the Jankz V.O.D. yesterday and nearly dropped my phone. The dude is just so much fun to watch.” While everyone else was busy being astounded by this clip, one commenter slipped in a not-so-subtle joke about the ongoing aim-assist debate in the higher tiers of Apex: “Damn controller players and their backflip assist.” This isn’t the kind of feat that can be recreated in every fight vs a Kraber but it is a handy tool to have in your arsenal if you find yourself in one of these close-range fights vs. the one-shot king.

Apex Legends streamer HisWattson pledges Twitch ad revenue to gamers in need – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer HisWattson pledges Twitch ad revenue to gamers in need ALGSPopular Apex Legends Twitch streamer Jacob ‘HisWattson’ McMillin has pledged to give all of his advertising revenue from the site to gamers in need. Not every day on the internet can be a positive one. But it’s always great to see when some go the extra mile to do good in the world. Streamers especially have done fantastic jobs supporting charities and communities throughout the years. We’ve seen tons of Twitch charity events sometimes raising hundreds of thousands, if not millions for those in need. Now, Apex Legends streamer HisWattson is looking to help out his community, pledging to donate all future ad revenue from Twitch to gamers in need. HisWattson vows to give Twitch ad revenue In a now-deleted tweet on October 15, the popular Apex Legends pro explained why you’ll never see mid-roll ads on his channel. Revealing in a screenshot he’s incentivized by the platform, running just one minute of ads per hour will earn HisWattson a staggering $20k per month on the low end if he streams 190 hours a month. Running 4 minutes of ads per hour would boost that figure up to $59k. Instead of letting it all go to waste, one fan suggested he uses the money to give back to his community, which Wattson thought was a great idea. “Have decided that I will be running ads on my channel and spending it on giving gaming equipment to people in my community who cant afford to buy it themselves,” he wrote on Twitter. He continued: “No idea how to do this or what my taxes are gonna look like but I’m gonna make it happen.” The gaming community so far has shown a ton of love and support for the streamer, with many praising him. Hopefully, more creators will follow in Wattson’s footsteps in the future and give back to those who need it.

Apex Legends streamer Grandpa gets multiple no-scopes and hilariously talks trash GrndPaGaming via Inven Global / Respawn EntertainmentTwitch streamer GrndPaGaming went on an insane killing spree in Apex Legends to the surprise of his teammates, prompting the seasoned player to dish out a hilarious helping of trash talk. GrndPa is a retired Navy Diver who streams various games without any feeling in his hands but that doesn’t stop the cancer-survivor from pulling off awesome clips from time to time. During an Apex Legends match, his team was engaged in a close-range firefight with an opposing squad, so naturally he decided to take matters into his own hands with the Triple Take sniper rifle in tow. After one of GrndPa’s teammates was downed, the streamer went in close to survey the battle. It was then, when he finished off a downed enemy with a brazen no-scope that instantly drew the attention from the rest of the attacking squad. The play wasn’t over as the double-kill earned him the attention of the last surviving member. While under suppressing fire, GrndPa strafed to the left to land his third kill in three shots. Apex Legends streamer goes viral for “craziest” Octane play of all time – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer goes viral for “craziest” Octane play of all time Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends streamer has gone viral after pulling off a death-defying Octane play that’s left the entire community speechless. Since his release onto the Apex Legends roster, Octane has been one of the most popular characters in the game. In Season 15, the High-Speed Daredevil has an impressive 10.8% pick rate, putting him at the top of the rankings, well above Wraith and Pathfinder. His unmatched mobility and high-risk playstyle make him perfect for aggressive players who love outplaying their opponents. Very few players pilot Octane better than streamer Leamonheadtv, and their recent outplay is being heralded by the community as one of the “craziest” clips of all time. Insane Octane play leaves Apex community speechless During a recent stream, Leamonheadtv and their duo partner were taking on an enemy squad at the Energy Depot POI on Olympus. Equipped with a CAR SMG and a Wingman, Leamonheadtv decided they were going to attempt a big outplay using Octane’s jump pad. Launching off the side of the map, the streamer managed to strafe mid-air onto the lower level of Energy Depot through a small gap. They then proceeded to laser beam down an unsuspecting foe, quickly following the kill with a wall jump and a set of accurate Wingman shots to knock another enemy. After posting the insane clip to Twitter, the play quickly went viral with the entire Apex community left speechless by Leamonheadtv’s impressive Octane skills. The movement completely caught the enemies off guard and with players describing it as “wild” and “scary”, it’s safe to say it’s got the community’s seal of approval. Let’s hope Leamonheadtv continues to post clips in the future because if they’re anything like this, they’re well worth a watch.

Apex Legends streamer gets trapped by Caustic after classic rookie error – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer gets trapped by Caustic after classic rookie error Apex LegendsAn Apex Legends streamer thought he had lucked into a sweet ground loot find but was actually walking into a classic Caustic trap that got their squad wiped from the game. Apex Legends is best known for its wild movement abilities and high-octane gunplay but that doesn’t mean there’s no room to be cerebral. That’s why Legends like Caustic, the Toxic Trapper, exist in the first place. His playstyle is all about luring people in and using gas traps to ruin their day. It’s a bit grimy compared to the in-your-face playstyles of some of his companions but it’s also hilarious when a calculated risk pays off. Apex Legends streamer caught in Caustic trap InspiredGreen was making their way through Kings Canyon when they stumbled on a purple Armor laying in a room with only one entrance. Naturally, they ran as quickly as possible as they could to pick it up, unknowingly sealing their fate. It took a second for the play to come together, but by the time the armor had been swapped, it was too late to do anything. Caustic had already come out of his hiding spot, blocked the single door with a barrel, and largely stole the fight before it even started. Green posted the clip to Reddit with the caption “I cannot believe I fell for that, for a purple body shield!” and the community couldn’t help but laugh along with him. “It will always be hilarious when a Caustic successfully traps someone,” one player joked. Another fan complimented Green on how much his enthusiasm added to the clip, complimenting the entire presentation of the situation. “You accepted your fate with grace, shared your adventures, and were NOT a salty toxic little b***h.” While that might be a bit of an overreaction, the streamer did handle the trap well, simply laughing off his own error before moving on with the stream.

Apex Legends streamer finds ‘meta’ solution for muzzle flash issue – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer finds ‘meta’ solution for muzzle flash issue An Apex Legends streamer found an unexpected way of dealing with the game’s bothersome muzzle flash before its official patch is due to come out. Since the game’s launch, players have been dealing with a persistent visual effect when firing from guns like the R-99. While there used to be an in-game option to disable the effect, the devs rolled back the feature a few months after release. That might be why players from every corner of the Apex fan base rejoiced after Respawn Entertainment producer Josh Medina’s dev update revealed that there was going to be a proper fix for muzzle flash in the near future. But that fix can still be a long way off, and Reddit user ‘iRazzeu’ didn’t have time to wait around, seeing as his game narrowed down to the last two squads in a Ranked match. That’s when the streamer had to improvise his approach to what would be the game’s deciding fight to claim the Champions screen. With his team all healed up, Razzeu wanted to make sure he was ready for whatever the game would throw at him – taking particular attention to the effects of the muzzle flash. As his teammate was inching closer to the enemy squad, he pulled out a pair of sunglasses just before pushing through to the final bout. It’s unclear just how much of an effect the eyewear had on Razzeu’s visibility, but the streamer looked very satisfied after he got crowned as Champion of his match. While players got a ton of enjoyment out of the clip, they aren’t amused about the blinding effects of Apex’s weapons – especially when firing in low-light settings. There’s been a long campaign for Respawn to tone down the flashing muzzles in Apex Legends. Notable examples from former Overwatch pro Seagull and others show just how “triggering” it can be. The stalemate between players and devs will soon come to a happy ending if Respawn can figure out how to effectively solve the issue. Until that day comes, Apex Legends players might have to try out iRazzeu’s “fix” for the muzzle flash to see if that helps them cope with the problem.

Apex Legends streamer finds another zero cooldown exploit for Wraith – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer finds another zero cooldown exploit for Wraith RespawnApex Legends streamer bor0 has revealed a new glitch with Wraith that allows the legend to have no cooldown on her tactical ability so long as the player uses a zipline balloon. With plenty of Apex Legends fans gearing up for the start of season four, Assimilation, they are still dropping into matches on the current World’s Edge map. While many games run pretty smoothly, there have been a few bugs and issues rearing their heads. We’ve seen problems with just being able to get into games if you’re level 500, the map not loading, and even being unable to loot the death boxes of fallen foes. Yet, there’s a new, pretty big glitch, that has been discovered with Wraith and her Into the Void tactical ability. The exploit was shown off by Apex Legends streamer bor0 during his February 1 stream, with the small broadcaster playing as the Interdimensional Skirmisher. While playing by himself, the streamer told viewers that he was going to “try something” as he began traveling up one of the balloons with Wraith’s tactical fully charged. Just before he reached the top, bor0 quickly triggered the ability and started floating back to the safety of the ground. As he reached the floor, and the ability finished off, he was greeted with another full charge. The streamer quickly proved that it wasn’t a one-hit-wonder either, heading up another balloon to repeat the process and getting the same outcome. “It’s not as good as the other exploit but this one should be really toxic,” bor0 said after it worked again. “No cooldown.” The previous exploit, which was later patched, allowed Wraith mains to constantly use the ability without the help of the ballon. Instead, interrupting it with a melee attack was all that was required. Of course, having another major bug with Wraith isn’t ideal and is something that Respawn will have to address before Season 4 gets underway. As of now, it is unknown whether or not they are aware of it, but if they are, a quick fix could be in order.

Apex Legends streamer encounters frustrating Thermite bug at worst time – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer encounters frustrating Thermite bug at worst time An Apex Legends streamer was bewildered after an unfortunate encounter with a Thermite grenade bug left him out in the open during his match. Respawn’s battle royale has been hit with costly bugs since its February 4 launch, with players coming across everything from cheeky Wraith tactics, invisible blocks hindering gameplay, and more. While the devs are constantly combing through the backend of their battle royale to make everything work properly, a string of new bugs seem to arise as soon as others get patched out from Apex. The latest in a long string comes via Twitch streamer ‘lil_max47’s December 24 gameplay where he wanted to push his advantage against another player in the early stages of a match. But instead of chasing down the opponent who retreated to a nearby building, the streamer took out a Thermite to force them from out of their corner. Backed by his G7 Scout, the player felt secure enough to move forward out in the open to line up a better angle for his Thermite – problem is, the grenade never took off. After repeated attempts to launch the device, the Thermite was held back by a glitch which made the streamer grow in frustration with every failed attempt. Eventually, his opponent came out to confront the player who still had the throwable dud equipped. Since lil_max didn’t have his gun out, they were quickly overcome by Pathfinder’s counterattack, moments later his team was eliminated from the match. Thermites have a wide range of uses, but in this case it was supposed to be the linchpin to the streamer’s attack. Without the grenade’s effects, lil_max was actually playing with a disadvantage in the fight, seeing as he was out in the open with no immediate cover. Even though this was a 1v1 gone wrong, a glitch like this could have major consequences for a team relying on a quick execute to move in on an opposing squad. With the competitive Apex Legends Global Series coming in 2020, the Respawn devs would likely be cracking down on these kinds of instances to prevent them from happening in pro settings.

Apex Legends streamer claims aim assist is “soft aimbot” after testing it on full strength – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer claims aim assist is “soft aimbot” after testing it on full strength Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends Twitch streamer has called out the game’s aim assist, claiming it functions like a “soft aimbot” that gives controller players a huge advantage. The debate between console and PC players over who has the greatest advantage in Apex Legends has been raging on for years. Top players like ImperialHal have called out the aim assist granted to controller users, claiming it offers them an unfair advantage that can be easily abused. The extra accuracy offered by playing with a mouse and keyboard is made up for with aim assist for controller players, which means their weapon will snap onto an enemy and follow them up to a point. Twitch streamer Nayr shared a clip attempting to prove just how effective aim assist can be in Apex Legends, and it’s reignited the controversial debate once again. The video, which he said was for “anyone who argues that AA isn’t [a] soft aimbot,” showed the aim assist tracking an enemy’s movements with virtually no input from the player. However, it’s worth noting that the aim assist had been dialed up to 100% from the usual 60% on console, and 40% on PC controllers. As you’d expect, there were many replies who disagreed with Nayr’s take, insisting that aim assist is needed for controllers players. “Idk why y’all can’t get it through your head that its entire reason for existing is to compensate for dead zone. Without it you wouldn’t be able to track at all with the delay,” argued one reply. “Is this argument still going? Grow up, aim assist is what it is, both have advantages and disadvantages, seriously, learn to counter it,” said another. Others pointed out that turning the setting up beyond what is possible on regular consoles and PCs was always going to make it seem unfair. “I don’t understand this. It’s a modded build that set it to 100% which in turn made it a literal aimbot,” said another player. “AA isn’t aimbot because any dev would never give it 100% tracking. It’s meant to assist, not auto-aim.” Others supported the streamer’s arguments, believing that aim assist should close the gap between controllers and mouse and keyboard, but not be as effective as the clip showed. Apex Legends is far from the only game where this debate is taking place. The likes of Warzone and Overwatch have also seen divides between the two player bases. As crossplay becomes a more widely used feature across various games, and PC and controller players encounter each other in the same lobbies more frequently, it’s hard to imagine this is the last time the subject comes up.

Apex Legends streamer cheats for a week straight and is still not banned – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer cheats for a week straight and is still not banned Respawn/EAAn Apex Legends player has been cheating on stream for a week straight and is yet to face the banhammer, despite plenty of fans calling it out. Just like many of its battle royale rivals, Apex Legends has had its problems with cheating and hackers over the last few years – especially towards the top end of Ranked competition. Though, there are plenty of casual cheaters too. While Respawn have tried to stamp out the hacks with additional security measures and ban waves, plenty of god mode and wallhack cheaters have slipped through the net to give players headaches time and time again. Even though some cheaters try and stay under the radar for as long as possible, there are some that are pretty happy to flaunt their advantages in the most blatant way possible. One prominent cheater in particular, a Twitch account under the name AutismGaming999, has been streaming for a week straight using wallhacks, an aimbot, and even speed boost cheats. The channel went pretty under the radar at first, attracting only a few hundred viewers for short streams. Though, it has picked up steam. Their April 10th stream had a peak of close to 5,000 viewers at one point, with the VOD being viewed almost 50,000 times as well. Plenty of players have flagged the channel across social media as well, tagging Respawn and their security team in the hopes that they may get banned before long. https://twitter.com/sinimatix/status/1513153415437643776 The player, who has managed to remove their name from the in-game feed as well, has stated that they’ll keep streaming with cheats on until they’re banned. Though, they’ve yet to be punished by Respawn or Twitch. As they’ve been playing Ranked games, they’re climbing the leaderboards and taking away from some players’ experience. So, it’ll likely be a matter of time before the banhammer is swung their way.

Apex Legends hacker accidentally shows his cheats throughout Twitch stream – Dexerto
Apex Legends hacker accidentally shows his cheats throughout Twitch stream An Fortnite in the saturated battle royale market, beating its rival in the race to rack up 50 million players during the first month of release. Nevertheless, Respawn Entertainment have faced a number of issues with hackers, revealing they banned over 350,000 players for exploits. Despite improvements to their anti-cheat system, it seems players are still finding ways to gain an unfair advantage over their opponents. This was evident during a stream from EricTheUnready, who made no attempt to cover up his exploits during his live broadcast on June 10. After launching the game, he can be seen typing into a command box, presumably enabling cheats that allow him to become almost unstoppable in-game. He openly advertises his Twitch channel to his squad and later on in the stream, one of his teammates informs him that his ‘ESP’ is visible on stream – adding weight to the argument that he is cheating. ESP stands for Extra Sensory Perception and gives the hacker information that he wouldn’t know otherwise. In this case, the streamer is able see enemy characters clearly through walls. Potentially realizing his errors, the streamer admitted that he will have to delete his VOD as his hacks are clearly visible to the audience throughout. Yet, left them available for all to see until June 11. The video has been taken down on his Twitch channel, and while the streamer has come under fire from other player’s in the game’s online community, who have reported his account, he is yet to be banned. Recently, another Apex Legends streamer bjerrehusdk was accused of aimbotting after hitting some ridiculous shots, and his Twitch channel was suspended shortly after. It is not yet known whether his hacks were the reason for the ban, but if so, EricTheUnready could suffer a similar fate soon. Last updated on June 11, 2019 at 6:55am (EST).

Apex Legends streamer banned on Twitch after threatening teammate’s family – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer banned on Twitch after threatening teammate’s family Twitch / Respawn EntertainmentTwitch has moved to ban an Apex Legends streamer called Captain Valenti after he was caught using toxic language live on air. The outburst made towards one of his own teammates – which has been described as ‘career suicide’ by viewers – included two remarks that ultimately violated Twitch’s rules. In one instance, he threatened to kill the full family of a player on his Arenas squad, and in another moment called them a “f**king homosexual.” In their Community Guidelines, they specifically state that “attempts or threats to physically harm or kill others” is a zero-tolerance offense, and these cases are met with indefinite suspensions. Apex streamer banned on Twitch after live outburst The player targeted by the abuse is called cirohsa, who has since tweeted about their experience. Along with the clip, they said: “Let’s get this guy banned.” Warning: Strong language in the clip below. https://twitter.com/cirohsa/status/1478919176601407490 The video footage has since been forwarded to members of the Apex Legends development team at Respawn Entertainment and has been noticed by multiple streamers as well. 100 Thieves’ Vein said: “This is actually disgusting.”Another added: “Fastest career suicide I’ve ever seen.” A second clip, tweeted out by cirohsa, showed the start of their interaction – where she simply asked him to stop dying. https://twitter.com/cirohsa/status/1478913044554076163 Speaking to Dexerto, cirohsa said: “It’s not the first time I have run into people like this, but usually they aren’t streaming.” Now that Captain Valenti’s Twitch channel can only be accessed with a time machine, it remains to be seen as to whether or not he will return to the platform. The length of the ban has also not been confirmed. Dexerto understands that Valenti has been flagged by Respawn internally for a potential account ban and a member of the dev team reached out to the player directly to resolve the matter swiftly. Once again, a clear message has been sent out by the team: Toxicity does not belong in Apex Legends.
