  • Apex Legends Octane Ultimate trick reverts nerf to his jump pad – Dexerto

Apex Legends Octane Ultimate trick reverts nerf to his jump pad Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Twitch streamer Nokokopuffs has discovered an Octane trick that nullifies the nerf to his Launch Pad in Season 10. Ever since his release, Octane has remained one of the most popular characters in Apex Legends and he even holds the number one spot in Season 10 with a 16.5% pick rate. The High-Speed Daredevil’s kit is all centered around mobility and speed, so it’s easy to see why so much of the community have made him their main Legend. Despite this, Respawn has implemented multiple nerfs against Octane to balance him with the rest of the roster, including a recent reduction in jump pad horizontal distance by 10% – 15% in the Evolution Collection event update. To combat this, a trick has been discovered which allows Octane mains to travel as far as they did before, and it’s incredibly simple. How to jump further with Octane’s Launch Pad in Apex Legends One of the strongest aspects of Octane’s kit is his Ultimate ability which allows him and his team to rotate or push an enemy squad. As a result of this, Respawn has had to nerf its distance multiple times. Well, to counter the nerf that came in the Evolution Collection event, Twitch streamer Nokokopuffs discovered a simple trick that allows players to travel further. As shown in his Twitter post, it involves jumping onto the pad while crouching or slide jumping. For whatever reason, this interaction causes players to travel four to five meters further than they usually would, which could be a huge difference-maker in a high-pressure scenario. I found a way to get farther and higher with octanes jump pad. I’ve already used it in game and its pretty significant. You get about 4-5 meters farther and 3-4 meters higher which allows you to clear certain places you normally cant after the nerf. Octane’s pad is still good! pic.twitter.com/AZDMmkfKLp — Noko (@Nokokopuffs) September 18, 2021 This is definitely a trick that every Octane main needs to learn and master as it nullifies the recent nerfs that affected the distance of his Ultimate. Not only that, it’s well worth making the most of this while it lasts, as the devs may decide to remove this interaction. The best way to practice this technique would be to hop into the Firing Range and make sure you’re ready to use it in an online match. These small tricks are the skills that separate good Octane players, from great ones.

  • Apex Legends Season 15 map teaser hints Octane & Seer are secretly besties – Dexerto

Apex Legends Season 15 map teaser hints Octane & Seer are secretly besties Electronic ArtsIn the Season 15 map teaser, an Apex Legends player noticed a piece of art that suggests Octane and Seer were once friends. Apex fans lucky enough to see Octane and Seer in action together know the two aren’t fond of one another. Interestingly, they’ll take jabs at each other whenever time permits. And one voice line from their Season 10 interactions features Seer telling Octane, “you have not changed at all, Silva.” Instances of this nature suggest the two Legends have a past, but what it involves presently remains a mystery. A bit of art in the Season 15 map teaser may offer some insight, though. Octane and Seer are besties in this in-game Apex Legends art While exploring the sneak peek of Apex Legends’ Season 15 locale, Redditor Bottlez1266 stumbled across an in-universe drawing. The art appears to have been scribbled by a child on a sheet of paper, which depicts crudely drawn versions of Seer and Octane. Instead of jumping down each other’s throats, though, the pair are shown smiling together. It even looks like Octane means to hand something to Seer. (As a few Reddit users noted, the item in question probably contains drugs.) Drug-sharing or not, it’s interesting to see a depiction of the two rivals enjoying time together. The image implies Octane and Seer were once buddies, yet it remains to be seen if Apex Legends will explore this possibility in any real depth. Season 15 will introduce players to more than a brand-new map. The next Apex Legends update additionally promises the advent of another playable Legend, Catalyst. Players can expect the Season 15 content to begin rolling out on November 1.

  • How to make Octane’s jump pad a lethal weapon in Apex Legends – Dexerto

How to make Octane’s jump pad a lethal weapon in Apex Legends RespawnApex Legends players have uncovered a bizarre new use for Octane’s Jump Pad ability that allows them to score kills without needing to go anywhere. Octane was the first new Legend added to Respawn Entertainment‘s popular battle royale title back in Season One: Wild Frontier. The adrenaline junkie character has quickly become of the more used legends in-game as fans use his unique movement mechanics to maneuver around the map. However, it is those mechanics which have been found to have a secret use – allowing players to become more of a hindrance to both their teammates and enemies. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user SzyjeCzapki showcased their discovery during a late game situation. As their teammates climbed to a higher point, the Redditor threw down Octane’s jump pad in a bid to give them a huge launch. However, one of the players – using Caustic – wandered in front of the throw and took the Jump Pad to the side of the head. Instead of the item bumping them a few meters, the players were left shocked to find that the touch actually eliminated the Caustic player as the death message showed that they had been ‘crushed’. Now, of course, players can recover from the strange new discovery thanks to the games long-standing respawn beacon – provided their banner has been recovered. Yet, it remains to be seen if the uncovering of this crushing ability is actually meant to be work as it does, or if the friendly fire aspect of being crushed is an error. However, if it’s not, it would presumably work in the same way on enemy players. It may take some luck, or just running into bad players, but being able to crush someone as Octane will bag you as many style points as pulling off a finisher kill. Even though you won’t get the same free shield recharge. Respawn developers regularly monitor the game’s subreddit and respond to similar highlight moments, so it could well be the case that they’ve yet to see Octane’s jump pad being used in this way because they haven’t responded.

  • Apex Legends Octane cosplayer becomes the ultimate adrenaline junkie – Dexerto

Apex Legends Octane cosplayer becomes the ultimate adrenaline junkie Cosplayer HoltsClawCosplay has stunned fans after he brought Apex Legends’ Octane to life with an incredibly lifelike outfit that looks like it comes right from an in-game screenshot. Ever since it released back in February of 2019, Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends has allowed some of the battle royale’s biggest fans to show off their creativity with plenty of impressive ideas and cosplays. Even though it’s set in a futuristic time in some far off worlds, fans have been able to dive right in and bring some of their favorite characters to life. We’ve already plenty of incredible takes on Wraith, a few head-turning Lifeline outfits, and even some pretty impressive Gibraltar efforts but this lifelike Octane cosplay might just be the absolute best of the lot. Posted by HoltsClawCosplay, the Octane outfits eerily similar to the images that Respawn dropped before he made his debut back in Apex Legends Season One: Wild Frontier. The cosplayer perfectly replicated the Legend’s normal base skin, donning an all-green vest, those green and white-brown bottoms – even recreating the little circular and square side pieces that hang on them. As for the adrenaline junkie legend’s lack of legs, well, there’s some pretty impressive work there too. The cosplayer, obviously, didn’t opt to follow suit and get rid of his legs, but instead worked around that – making it look like he had forged the bionic legs that have become synonymous with any Octane player. https://www.instagram.com/p/B6qpjvcA7IC/ There’s even the perfectly recreated mask that makes the cosplayer look like they’ve managed to pull Octane out of Apex Legends and place him right into the real-world. Of course, the cosplayer is missing the jump pad and Stim that takes the legend to the next level and helps him secure Apex victories but we’re not going to knock him – he’s already blown our minds as it is.

  • Apex Legends’ Octane becomes a pirate in swashbuckling skin idea – Dexerto

Apex Legends’ Octane becomes a pirate in swashbuckling skin idea Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is already set to release some wild new cosmetics during its Lost Treasures Collection Event, but that hasn’t stopped one fan from coming up with his own incredible Octane skin concept. Octavio “Octane” Silva is fast and quirky. According to Respawn Entertainment’s lore, the speedster is an adrenaline junkie with a penchant for using drugs to enhance his quickness—fittingly, considering his parents own a pharmaceutical company. He’s got a prosthetic leg (two, in fact), adores violence, and has a proclivity toward black-and-white motifs (like the sharp teeth emblazoned on his face mask). He already screams big pirate energy, but a fan’s new idea would turn him into the finest corsair on land. While the classic pirate look is nautical and earth-toned, Octane’s default appearance is technological and neon: creepy glowing eyes, fluorescent green tubes, and Matrix headjack-esque round ports on his abdomen. Reddit’s ‘MoberRPG’ decided to go in an entirely new direction, presumably guided by the North Star, for the battle royale’s most notorious user of performance enhancing drugs. In his “Land Shark” iteration, Octane rocks a pirate’s trademark vest, cut-off breeches, and bandana—all in reddish or brown hues. Dissatisfied with stopping there, they also added some tremendous details. Aside from replacing the character’s face mask with a shark’s jaw and teeth, they also added two details that are sure to shiver some timbers: a wooden peg leg instead of one of his prosthetics and a miniature cask on his belt, likely to hold some rum. And then you add on the anchor and Jolly Roger tattoos, making this a fantastic, hilarious idea for a character whose outfits have yet to truly embrace humor. Octane already does have some sick skins. Jade Tiger is like a revamped Power Ranger while Extreme Measures could steal the show at the X-Games, but he could use one that leans on the funnier side of things. Already a weird character who enjoys performance-altering inebriation, why not follow MoberRPG’s lead and give the speedster some classic seafaring garb…and a bottle of rum?

Apex Legends Oct 17 patch notes: Charge Rifle nerf, Circle fixes, more Respawn EntertainmentDevelopers Respawn Entertainment have released a new update in Apex Legends, and we’re here to make sure you’re caught up with all of the changes. On October 17, Respawn pushed out a small server patch in Apex Legends in order to address some of the game’s more pressing issues. Those include the Charge Rifle, the new weapon introduced in Season 3: Meltdown which the player-base almost unanimously agrees is too powerful. Additionally, the developers have also implemented changes and fixes to both Quips and the storm circle, particularly the first one that appears early in the match. You can find all of the detailed information about this update below, including the official patch notes. Heads up, Legends! We’ll be pushing out a small server patch here shortly that include fixes and updates for: :small_orange_diamond:Quips while in the Drop Ship :small_orange_diamond:Initial circle issues :small_orange_diamond:The Charge Rifle pic.twitter.com/l54P1CKNpB— Apex Legends (@PlayApex) October 17, 2019 Charge Rifle nerf Ever since the Charge Rifle debuted in Apex Legends following the launch of Season 3, the one consistent way it’s been described by players is that it’s way too overpowered. It has become that type of weapon that everyone loves using to beam down enemies, but is extremely frustrating to come up against. Well, players will be happy to hear that the Charge Rifle has indeed been nerfed, and the changes were not just a reduction to the damage. The amount of ammo used per shot has been increased to 3 energy ammo, and the mag sizes have been adjusted from the base all the way to Level 3 Extended Mag: No Extended Mag = 9 Ammo (3 Shots) – Level 1 Extended Mag = 12 Ammo (4 Shots) – Level 2 Extended Mag = 15 Ammo (5 Shots) – Level 3 Extended Mag = 18 Ammo (6 Shots) – There’s also been a change made to the fall-off damage, as the distance at which the weapon starts doing less damage has been decreased (details in the patch notes below.) Changes to Quips and initial circle This update also included two more things that it fixed – Quips and the circle. Using Quips in the Drop Ship has now been addressed, after players were complaining about how rowdy it got at the start of matches when everyone was spamming their Quip. As for the circle, a fix has been implemented for the initial one, where now players will not get caught outside the circle when it starts. Here are the full patch notes for this October 17 update, as provided by Respawn on Reddit. Hello Legends! A Server Patch rolled out this afternoon and is currently live on all platforms! • Apex Legends November 14 update patch notes: Catalyst rework, Freezing glitch fixed, more – Dexerto

Apex Legends November 14 update patch notes: Catalyst rework, Freezing glitch fixed, more RespawnApex Legends November 14 update – while small – offers up some quality of life improvements to the game and to new Legend Eclipse. Here’s everything you need to know about the update and the full list of patch notes. Season 15 of Apex Legends arrived at the beginning of November, the new season bringing with it a new Legend, new map, and some changes to map pool and gameplay. As with any new big content drop, new glitches and issues have popped up in the following weeks. And while the latest update may be small, it looks to address a number of those recent issues. Here’s everything you need to know for the latest Apex Legends update, 1.000.025. Catalyst rework improves character fluidity and animations One of the biggest parts of Season 15 was the introduction of the new Legend Catalyst. The defender – who specializes in area denial – has had some issues since launch with fluidity and character design. As a result, this new update focuses on cleaning up Catalyst audio ability audio so that other players aren’t so easily alerted when a gamer uses one of her abilities. As well as this, the bug in which Seer’s passive heartbeat sensor was able to go through Catalyst’s ult has since been fixed. Apex freezing glitch has now been fixed One of the biggest issues lately has been a game-freezing glitch that players have been encountering at random. When the glitch occurs, gamers are forced to completely restart the program in order to get back into Apex. And while this freezing issue has been primarily found on the Broken Moon map, Apex players across Reddit have reporting it happening on others as well. This new update promises to fix this issue. However, it appears that the other major bug that has popped up recently – known as the heirloom glitch – is still causing problems for players. Apex legends November 14 Patch Notes: The following changes have been made to Apex Legends as per the latest set of patches: Mark all replicator zones prompt is available in the dropship – Seer can use Survey Beacons again – Catalyst ability audio has been tweaked to be less noisy for those nearby – The camera is now currently placed for victims of Catalyst’s finishers – Seer’s passive heartbeat sensor no longer goes through Catalyst’s ult – Onscreen effects now display correct VFX on Switch – Resolved a freeze affecting some players on Broken Moon and other maps –

  • Apex Legends Nov 30 update patch notes: K/DR stats, Catalyst KO shield fix, more – Dexerto

Apex Legends Nov 30 update patch notes: K/DR stats, Catalyst KO shield fix, more Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends November 30 update addresses map fixes on Broken Moon, resolved an issue affecting K/DR stats, and tinkered with legend abilities. Apex Legends Season 15 reinvigorated excitement, and player count numbers even surpassed Warzone 2 by 60,000 players on November 30. Respawn Entertainment isn’t resting on its laurels either, introducing the Wintertide collection event to celebrate the holiday season. Apex’s content injection didn’t go over well with every community member. Apex Legends star ‘Snip3down‘ criticized developers for focusing on cosmetics and skins rather than game fixes. The November 30 update addresses community concerns with a long list of bug fixes and legend changes. Apex Legends Hero adjustments and map fixes First up, the developers resolved an issue that showed incorrect K/DR stats for some players. There is nothing worse than not receiving recognition for playing well. Catalyst, Wraith, and Crypto mains will be relieved or disappointed in some of the adjustments made. For players that enjoy completing in-game challenges, the developers fixed an issue that gave the incorrect reward amount. As for Broken Moon, the popular map received updates to remove hiding spots and improve collision physics in some regions of the environment. November 30 patch notes Here are the full patch notes. Resolved lifetime K/DR stat appearing incorrectly for some players – Catalyst’s KO shield will now work when downed while casting her Ultimate – While in Phase, Wraith will now see doors sealed by Catalyst’s passive – While in Phase, Wraith will not be affected by Catalyst’s ferrofluid – Crypto’s drone will no longer be able to open doors sealed by Catalyst’s passive – Resolved certain challenges which gave the incorrect reward amount – Removed invisible collision that blocked ordnance and abilities in Promenade – Numerous map fixes throughout Broken Moon to remove hiding spots and improve collision. – Guns no longer float during Season 15 emotes – Legends will now appear properly sized on the Legend Select menus when returning to lobby in certain scenarios –

  • Apex Legends Nov 18 update fixes Rampart exploit & more: patch notes – Dexerto

Apex Legends Nov 18 update fixes Rampart exploit & more: patch notes Respawn EntertainmentRespawn have launched a new update in Apex Legends that will patch out an exploit with Rampart’s turret as well as fixing some audio issues, reformatting Weekly Challenges, and more. The Apex community has been very active with their feedback at the start of Season 7, and while there’s been a ton of content for players to sift through, problems with the Battle Pass or Rampart’s ultimate, Sheila, have been causes for concern among some. The developers have been paying close attention, leading to the November 18 update which is going to take out the amusing but deadly Rampart exploit while giving people a helping hand at the revised Battle Pass progression system. This means that Respawn are dousing fires inside and out of the Apex Arena this time around, with updates that should improve the player experience as well as the state of the game. Apex Legends November 18 patch notes Weekly Challenges have been adjusted back to Season 6 formating – 10 Battle Pass levels will be rewarded to all who log in – Rampart’s turret on Crypto’s drone – Audio adjustments – Misc fixes – Rampart Sheila exploit grounded Thanks to an exploit, players had been hooking up Rampart’s Emplaced Minigun ‘Sheila’ to Crypto’s Drone. Since the game identified the hovering bot as a valid base for the Ultimate, we’ve seen people use this to wreak havoc by flying the turret around the map. While it wasn’t really practical to set up the flying turret in the middle of a fight, it still provided some of the wildest clips to come out of the Arena. However, that won’t be possible any longer now that Respawn have sent out a fix that will keep the minigun grounded to the Apex battlefield like it was meant to be. It’ll be interesting to see if the patchwork holds since people have been trying to get creative with how they can use the ability. Battle Pass difficulty reverted A few weeks after the Season 7: Ascension Battle Pass was launched, people were noticing just how long it took to simply move up a single tier. This quickly snowballed enough to get Respawn’s attention. While the controversial star system will remain intact for the season, the ability to level it up should mirror that of the Season 6 Battle Pass. The Apex devs implemented the fix to Daily challenges last week, but today we saw Weekly challenges get the revised changes. As promised, Respawn are also giving all players who log in 10 free Battle Pass levels in light of the issues.

  • Apex Legends won’t get a new weapon every season to preserve game health – Dexerto

Apex Legends won’t get a new weapon every season to preserve game health Respawn EntertainmentRespawn used to add weapons to Apex Legends with great haste. The early seasons of the battle royale saw new guns dropping every release. However, the developers are pulling back on the number of weapon releases to preserve the game’s healthy meta. Apex Legends players were treated to many big seasons full of new characters and weapons early on in the game’s existence. The game started with a decent variety of weapons, but over time, new releases have warped the meta — from the Charge Rifle to the Bocek, to the Volt and the C.A.R. SMG. However, now the game is getting quite full with weapons catering to every ammo type and every range of fight. There’s 28 to be precise, and Respawn thinks that’s a good enough number to balance the game around right now. Therefore, don’t expect new weapons every Apex Legends season from here on out — only when they see it as necessary. “We serve what’s right and healthy for the game,” senior game designer Eric Canavese said during a Season 14 press event. “I can’t talk about future plans, future weapons, or anything like that, but know that we’re always thinking about what’s right for the game, what does the game need, and is the meta healthy.” “Our goal is not to just shove content in the game to checkbox a seasonal delivery list, our goal is to make the game the best it can possibly be, and if that means the game needs another weapon, then we’ll make another weapon for it, but that will happen at the time it needs to happen, and not just on a seasonal cadence.” True to this philosophy, there won’t be a new weapon in Apex Legends Season 14. However, there’ll be plenty of changes to the game’s existing arsenal. The EVA-8 Auto shotgun is being reworked, the Wingman and Spitfire are changing ammo types, and the Bocek plus the Rampage LMG are being vaulted. There are also some smaller balance changes here and there to try and keep things interesting, even if there’s no new gun to truly spice things up. As for when the next new weapon will launch in Apex Legends? Players will have to wait and see what Respawn are cooking up when that time comes.

  • Apex Legends Nintendo Switch trailer reveals exclusive Pathfinder skin – Dexerto

Apex Legends Nintendo Switch trailer reveals exclusive Pathfinder skin Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Nintendo Switch launch is March 9, and players who adopt the newest platform will get some cool benefits, including an exclusive Legendary Pathfinder skin, but it’s only available for a limited time. Apex Legends is now available on consoles, PC and Switch, as well as a mobile release expected later in 2021. The Switch version was initially expected to launch at the same time as Season 8, but was pushed back to March 9, midway through the season. As a result, players on Nintendo Switch will not only get the first 30 levels of the Season 8 battle pass for free, but double XP will also be activated for the first two weeks after launch. The new trailer has also revealed a new look at Apex Legends gameplay on the Switch in action. Despite concerns about frame rate and resolution, it looks to hold up very well on the handheld platform. Apex Legends Nintendo Switch gameplay It’s not confirmed yet what frame rate Apex Legends will manage of Switch, the resolution looks strong. Respawn have promised that the full feature set from the console and PC version will be available on Switch, so there’s nothing missing. Read More: Apex Legends mobile playtests starting – The developer of Apex Legends’ Switch version is Panic Button, who also did the Switch version of Rocket League and DOOM. Cross-play will be enabled at launch, meaning Switch players can team up and face off against players on both console and PC. Legendary Pathfinder skin: P.A.T.H Exclusive to Nintendo Switch users, you will unlock the P.A.T.H skin for free – but the offer is only available for a limited time. Starting from March 9, the exclusive legendary skin will only be available until May 4. The skin itself reflects the Nintendo Switch color scheme of red and white, but the main appeal will be how rare it will be after the two-month promotional period ends. What about cross-progression? The bad news for existing Apex Legends players on other platforms is that cross-progression between accounts will not be possible, at least not at launch. This means that if you buy Apex on Switch, you’ll have to start with a brand-new account, with only the default Legends and cosmetics available, and a fresh slate of stats. You can purchase the Champion Edition for Switch, which is the least expensive way to unlock the post-launch Legends. Read More: How many people play Apex Legends? – Respawn have said that they are working on cross-progression for the future, but have not confirmed when, or if, it will ever come.

  • Apex Legends Nintendo Switch FPS and resolution details revealed – Dexerto

Apex Legends Nintendo Switch FPS and resolution details revealed Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is finally available on Switch as of March 9 (or March 10, depending on your location), and the developers behind the Switch version, Panic Button, have confirmed some of the important technical details, like frame rate and resolution. Panic Button also developed the Switch ports for other games like DOOM and Rocket League, always managing a stellar job. But Apex Legends provides a uniquely challenging task, with the combination of fast, first-person gunplay alongside lots of abilities and three large maps. Ensuring the experience is up to par is especially important because cross-play is enabled on Switch at launch, meaning players on the handheld device could play against players on console and PC. Apex Legends FPS on Nintendo Switch Speaking to Famitsu, Panic Button’s technical director, Andy Boggs, confirmed that Apex Legends will run at 30 frames per second (FPS) on Switch, both in handheld and docked modes. Although 60FPS would have been much preferred for players, it, no doubt, would have proven very difficult to manage this, at least consistently, as action in the game can get intense. A locked 30FPS should provide a consistent frame rate, but when playing cross-play, could put you at a serious disadvantage against players on other platforms. Apex Legends resolution on Nintendo Switch The resolution actually changes depending on what mode you’re playing on. When in docked mode, you’ll play at 720p, but once you move to handheld, this will drop to 576p. Regardless of the resolution, the 30FPS limit will remain. When playing in the handheld mode, Panic Button has developed a new UI that will be easier for players to see and use. Apex Legends on Switch runs on the exact same engine as the other versions, and every feature available in the console and PC version is also on Switch. This includes all Legends, weapons, maps, skins, and clubs. Can you turn off cross-play? Yes, just like the console versions of Apex, you can opt-out of cross-play on Nintendo Switch. Boggs explains: “If enabled, it will match with people who have cross-play enabled, and if disabled, it will only match with other Switch players.” What about cross-progression? Unfortunately, there’s still no news on cross-progression for Apex Legends. Respawn have said it’s a feature they want to have, but at the moment, it’s still a long way off. This is because Apex wasn’t built with cross-progression in mind, and adding it later is a challenge, according to Respawn. We’ll keep you updated with any news about cross-progression in the future, but for now, you’ll have to start a new account on Nintendo Switch.

Apex Legends: Ninja and co. win the Dr Disrespect and BoomTV $20,000 Code Red tournament – recap, highlights, final placements Popular streamer Ninja teamed up with NRG Esports pro players dizzy and KingRichard to win the first ever running of the $20,000 Code Red Apex Legends tournament, hosted by Dr Disrespect, BoomTV, and Esports Arena. The trio, named King’s Canyon, edged out Dr Disrespect and Team SoloMid streamers Kraftyy and Viss (Vissrespect the Kraft) in the grand finals to secure the $12,000 first place prize and the prestige of a Code Red championship. The top three was rounded off with Reid’s Money Crew, featuring the trio of TSM’s vsns, chocoTaco, and Rogue Gaming pro HusKers, who ended up losing to Doc’s team in the Loser’s Bracket finals. Before reading on the rest of this recap, it’s important that you brush up on the format used for this double-elimination tournament. HOW TO WIN: Since there are no custom lobbies available yet in Apex Legends, the eight teams had to load into public matches and try to get as many eliminations and the best placement they could. In each round, teams had to three public matches to try and get more points than the teams they were matched up in the bracket. This is the scoring system that was used to determine point totals:– Win = +8 points – Kills = +1 point each Having already destroyed Vissrespect the Kraft in the Winner’s Bracket final 116-66, King’s Canyon had the advantage of having to only win one game in the grand final, while Doc’s team had to win two straight since they were coming from the Loser’s. The match started off pretty close, with Ninja and co. grabbing a 38-29 lead after map one, mainly thanks to dizzy’s incredible 22 kill performance and their eight point victory bonus. • Apex Legends night mode looks incredible – but would it work? – Dexerto

Apex Legends night mode looks incredible – but would it work? Bill Dunford – NASAAn Apex Legends player has come up with an incredible concept for what the popular battle royale would look like at night, but questions remains as to whether a night map would be practical. A lot has changed in Apex Legends since it was first introduced to the online gaming world in early February, but one thing has remained largely constant – the time of day on the map. Every match is played during the daytime, under a bright blue sky filled with innocent clouds and the piercing light of the sun illuminating the entire map. One question that has come up frequently is whether or not Respawn Entertainment would even make a night-mode, and how the map would look if they did. Read More: Apex players swatted during tournament – One user on Reddit, ‘VooDsXo,’ designed a concept for a darker version of the map, setting the time of day to dusk and flooding the landscape with dark orange, brown, and black accents. While there is no question that the concept looks amazing, there are some doubts as to whether such a map would work well with how the game currently functions. Several Reddit users commented reasons for why such a design might not work, with muzzle flash being one of the functions mentioned. Read More: New Apex Ranked rewards revealed – “With the muzzle flash in this game, you wouldn’t see anything at all once you started shooting!” wrote ‘Sen_55.’ Other users brought up things such as the fact that certain cosmetic outfits for Legends would stick out way too much on dark map, or the fact that those affected by color-blindness would have a much harder time playing. “As somebody that is color blind, I think this would be way too dark for me,” wrote ’emullin222.’ “It’s always super hard for me to see people on dark maps like this.” However, there are just as many, if not more, who really want to Respawn implement this sort of feature in the game, and offered solutions for some of the more prevalent concerns. “Could add lights to guns, and they could automatically turn on and stay on, so you have to be cautious about ADS,” suggested ‘RandomPlayerJoined.’ “Add flood/street lights in areas, put flood lights on all the buildings. Put search lights on top of Cage and let them rotate and do a ‘search pattern.’ More thermal scopes – just some things that came to mind.” Read More: New Crypto teaser spotted – A lot of users didn’t stop there, even suggesting that the developers add more weather and time-of-day variants to the map in order to mix things up a bit. “We’ve been playing six months on the very same map over and over again,” wrote ‘bricious.’ “I think we deserve some map weather and time variations to keep us fresh, like a night more or so.” Of course, when it comes to the likes of Fortnite, PUBG, and Blackout, Apex Legends’ main rivals in the battle royale genre, all three have been very consistent in offering different variations of their map. Fortnite has always had a night version of their map, in addition to all of the seasonally-themed changes, such as a widespread snow storm during winter and a desert biome during the summer. PUBG’s weather system offers dynamic maps, and Blackout, although not having an outright night version, has add elements such as fog, bloody waters, flooding, and more. Whether or not something like this will actually be added remains a big uncertainty, especially since nothing of the sort has been found in any of the leaks for the upcoming third season. That said, the possibility isn’t ruled out by any means, and the more players ask for these kinds of things on public forums, the greater the chance they’ll end up seeing results.

  • When is Apex Legends Season 19? Season 18 end date & what to expect – Dexerto

When is Apex Legends Season 19? Season 18 end date & what to expect Respawn EntertainmentSeason 19 of Apex Legends, Ignite, has been confirmed, with the new Legend Conduit revealed. Here’s everything we know about Season 19 so far, including the release date and what to expect. Each new season of Apex usually includes one big highlight to look forward to, and normally it’s the new character that is added. But, Season 18 instead focused on the rework to Revenant, with no new legend to play. There also hasn’t been a new battle royale map added since Broken Moon in Season 15, but unfortunately, Season 19 will not be the season for a new map. Here’s everything we know about Season 19 of Apex Legends so far. We’ll update this article as more information is leaked or confirmed. Apex Season 19 release date Apex Legends Season 19 will release on Tuesday, October 31 – confirmed by Respawn, and this matches the in-game timer of the Season 18 battle pass. New seasons of Apex typically go live at 10 am PT / 1 pm ET / 6 pm GMT. As always, Season 18 will end on the same date, October 31. What’s coming in Season 19 of Apex Legends? So far, we know that there will be a new legend this season, called Conduit – see below for more. One thing we can expect is the revamped Storm Point. Many players actually thought this would release with Season 18, given all the teasers and build-up. However, when Season 18 started, Storm Point was instead moved out of the map rotation entirely. This certainly indicates that the plans Respawn has for the map will not be seen until Season 19 unless Respawn makes the unexpected move of bringing it back midway through the season. On the Season 19 website, Respawn states: “THE STORM HAS PASSED. Reports indicate clear skies and 100% chance of raining lead.” With this in mind, it seems unlikely that a new Apex map will release in Season 19, but there could be one in the works for Season 20 instead. Historically, new Apex maps have released every 4-5 seasons, so this would still make sense. New Season 19 Legend The new Legend for Season 19, is Conduit. Her full abilities haven’t been confirmed yet, but check out what we know so far, and her leaks, here. Details are limited so far on the new character, but leakers have been teasing her arrival for a long time. We know she has a connection to titans too from her Stories from the Outlands video. At this early stage, there is very little known else about Respawn’s plans for the new season, but as always, leakers are hard at work trying to see what they can find. That’s all we know so far about Season 19, but we will update this page with more information as the release gets closer. • Apex Legends Newcastle exploit makes his revive completely silent – Dexerto

Apex Legends Newcastle exploit makes his revive completely silent Respawn EntertainmentA lifesaving Newcastle trick is enabling players to silently revive downed teammates, giving squads added survivability. Apex Legends Season 13 is finally here and players are currently getting to grips with the new Legend – Newcastle. The Heroic Defender is known for his supportive playstyle, which enables him to put down damage-sponging shields and leap to his allies’ position. While it’s still early days, a number of players have already started to discover some neat interactions and tricks with Newcastle’s kit. However, one of the most useful is that of the silent revive exploit. Not only does this make the game’s Mobile Guardian even more useful, but it can lead to some incredibly clutch moments when used correctly. Apex Legends Newcastle silent revive trick Unlike other Legends in the game, Newcastle’s passive enables him to drag downed allies as he revives and protects them with his Revive Shield. This is obviously incredibly useful to any team, especially in situations where there is a limited amount of cover. While the shield can block incoming damage, it can draw a lot of unwanted attention from enemy squads. After all, nearby players will be able to see the glow of Newcastle’s shield. Well, one player has discovered a unique trick that enables the Heroic Defender to silently revive his fallen comrades. Timestamp of 0:03 In order to utilize the trick, players must drop their Knockdown Shield before starting the revive. Not only does this completely remove the glowing shield, but it also makes the animation completely silent. So, if you wish to save an ally and avoid being killed in the process, then you’ll want to remember this tip next time you queue up for a game. After all, it could give you and your team the edge needed to secure a clutch victory in Season 3.

  • Apex Legends: New world record for most solo kills on console set – Dexerto

Apex Legends: New world record for most solo kills on console set The world record for most kills by a single player in Apex Legends on console has been, beaten as the 30 kill mark has finally been crossed – but it’s still a long way off the PC record. As soon as Apex Legends released on February 4, the most talented players got to work trying to set the world records, with NRG pro ‘Dizzy’ setting a peak of 34 kills on PC. This has later been overtaken, with Overwatch pro Mendo extending the record to 36, but throughout this, the console record has stood strong at 29 kills by ‘Casdg_’. The elusive 30 kill mark couldn’t be matched on console – until now, as PS4 player KobiTheRapper has just got over the line. With a whopping 4,458 damage, Kobi wiped out half of the lobby by himself, putting the extremely powerful Wingman pistol to good use. The Wingman has been a constant in almost all Apex Legends world records, as players with excellent aim can make the weapon look incredibly overpowered. In the hands of most players, the Wingman is a high risk/high reward weapon, with the punishment for missing your shots usually resulting in a swift end. You can check out the full list of Apex Legends world records here. Console players still have some catching up to do if they are to match the 36 kills set by Mendo on PC, but for now, the target is 31 – and at the rate which players are breaking records, KobiTheRapper might not hold on to this one for long.

  • Apex Legends: New weapon attachments possibly spotted in Season 3 trailer – Dexerto

Apex Legends: New weapon attachments possibly spotted in Season 3 trailer Respawn Entertainment/YouTube: DezendObservant Apex Legends players have spotted what could be two new weapon attachments, following the release of the Season 3: Meltdown trailer. Apex Legends fans are eagerly anticipating the third season of Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale, with a plethora of content being teased by the developers ahead of the season’s October 1 release date. Released on September 27, the Meltdown trailer confirmed long-held fan theories about a new map, which will be known as ‘World’s Edge’. We can also expect to see a new legend – the hacker, Crypto – coming with the start of Season 3. The Season 3 trailer also teased new gameplay skins, but smaller potential additions have now been spotted, in the form of prospective weapon attachments. Hop Ups are weapon attachments aimed at specific weapons, such as the Disruptor Rounds for the Alternator and RE-45, or the Hammerpoint Rounds for the P2020 or Mozambique. Based on gameplay from the Meltdown trailer, one Reddit user highlighted the G7 Scout and R-301 as potential weapons for new attachments. In the trailer, the R-301 fires in its single-shot mode, causing speculation that a ‘High Caliber’ attachment will be on its way, which will increase damage when fired using the single-shot mechanism. While unconfirmed, the Reddit user attaches a reduced-speed clip from the trailer, which appears to back up what they’re saying. Guys, I noticed this in the Trailer, These May be the new Hop UPS for Season 3, “High Caliber” For the R-301, which increases the damage bullets make when switching to Single Fire, and “Double Tap” for the G7 Scout, Which fires at a 2 round burst. I know you saw it, I had to look into detail. from r/apexlegends Similarly, the semi-auto G7 Scout appears to fire in two-round bursts, a mechanism the Reddit user speculates will be called ‘Double Tap’. Both ‘High Caliber’ and ‘Double Tap’ will be familiar names to FPS fans, with both featuring in Call of Duty titles up to this point. These theories are compounded by reputable leaker ‘That1MiningGuy’, who has found hints at both ‘High Caliber’ and ‘Double Tap’ in data-mined game files. Some new type of Hop Up here? Double Tap and HighCal rounds: pic.twitter.com/ebwRGztIBA — That1MiningGuy (@That1MiningGuy) September 11, 2019 Some players shared concerns about the game’s ‘loot pool’, with many arguing it became unbalanced following previous releases of new attachments, such as the aforementioned Disruptor Rounds. It’s fair to say we can expect new details to continue to emerge as October 1 grows closer, before players are plunged into all the new content Respawn have been working on.

  • New addition to Apex Legends train could improve endgame on Season 3 map – Dexerto

New addition to Apex Legends train could improve endgame on Season 3 map RespawnWith the introduction of World’s Edge to Apex Legends Season 3, the train that flies around the new map has already been established as a point of interest to players. But one player has an idea to make it even more interesting. Season 3 of Apex Legends is only a couple weeks old, and fans are already suggesting unique ideas to make the new World’s Edge map even better. Fans are also speculating about potentially new events and Legends that Respawn might be adding themselves. The World’s Edge train has been hotspot for players. The high-speed train does come to a stop at stations, where players pointed out that secret supply bins will pop out. The train can also be stopped by players who make their to the front car and hit a switch. But reddit user tomcat_d20 came up with an idea to make the train even more interesting: turn its caboose into a moving loot vault. Loot vaults are another new feature to season 3; special areas with the very best loot that require a special keycard to open. So far, there are only three loot vaults on World’s Edge, with the highest tier gear inside. tomcat_d20’s suggestion is simple, add a locked loot vault as a caboose to the train, and let it speed around the map. They even provided a well-drawn, detailed look at what the potential loot caboose would look like. Other fans responded very positively to this idea, likening the concept of a loot caboose to essentially adding a train heist mechanic to Apex Legends. Some fans even suggested the idea of then adding old school bank robbery themed skins to the roster of Legends. User rapkat55 said the idea was especially beneficial because it adds extra value to the train. They compared the train to the supply ship from King’s Canyon, as both become largely ignored after all the initial loot is taken. By adding the loot caboose, it makes the moving train more viable as a late-game location, making for more high-speed, thrilling conclusions to matches. If the loot caboose is added, it’s unclear whether or not the train will continue to stop regularly, or whether the loot caboose could be opened while the train is stopped or not. Regardless, adding a Red Dead Redemption-style train heist to Apex Legends would surely be exciting.

  • Apex Legends’ new train has secret Supply Bins – Dexerto

Apex Legends’ new train has secret Supply Bins Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is well into its third season, and some eagle-eyed players have noticed that the train can trigger some hidden supply bins around World’s End. Apex Legends Season 3 officially kicked off on October 1 and introduced a brand new map in the form of World’s End, which replaced King’s Canyon which had been the location used in the game since February. One of the main attractions on the map is the train, which speeds around the map and can be controlled by players, and some fans have discovered that there some hidden loot crates dotted around the map that appears when trains pull into stations. In a clip posted to the Apex Legends subreddit by user Zachs_Drunk, the player shows the train pulling into one of the train stations dotted around the map at the many named locations. Once it pulls to a halt, doors on the station’s floor open up, and a Supply Bin is propelled out of the ground, with players able to loot it before the train moves on. The Supply Bins don’t include any special loot specific to the train, but will hold new weapons, attachments, shields, and armor that could make the difference as you search for victory. Players who find themselves on the train could find themselves geared up to an extremely high level, as there are already tons of loot on the train to prepare you for battle. Should you and your squad have the opportunity to commandeer the vehicle, you could even do a tour of the map, stop the train at each station and pick up all the loot from each of the stations, although you’ll need to be careful, as enemies may camp out at these locations hoping to pick off teams who try to nab the loot.

  • Apex Legends new Team Deathmatch mode already has a huge problem – Dexerto

Apex Legends new Team Deathmatch mode already has a huge problem Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 16 brought the long-awaited Team Deathmatch mode to the battle royale, but there’s already a huge issue. Update: Respawn have since issued a hotfix changing the mode to one round instead of three, and have raised the required kills to 50 instead of 30. However, many of the complaints from players listed in the article below haven’t yet been fixed. Season 16 of Apex Legends removed Arenas in favor of Team Deathmatch, a 6v6 mode that will likely be familiar to players with a gaming history in FPS titles. The mode splits matches up into rounds, with each team needing a total of 30 kills to take that round. The first team to win two rounds wins the match. After a few weeks, TDM will be replaced by a Mixtape playlist, which will cycle through past LTMs to offer variety to the Apex experience. For now, though, players can drop into some respawn action in the vein of other FPS titles. However, just hours after TDM and Season 16 dropped, a pretty major issue with the new mode was discovered. Apex Legends TDM mode suffers leaver issue Highlighting the problem in a Reddit post, one player asked: “Who the hell came up with the idea of round-based TDM? The mode is barely out and people are already quitting en masse once they start losing.” Attached was an image of a TDM match scoreboard, showing an enemy team being outplayed with only three players remaining. In short, if enemy teams lose early rounds of TDM and look set to lose the match, it looks like many players are just backing out to avoid the loss. The issue has been compounded by the fact that TDM matches do not end if the entire enemy team loses. Players who have forced all opponents into quitting are thus left in an empty lobby with time winding down or are forced to quit, lose their progress and start a new match. As of the publication of this article, Respawn have not responded to the problems but, given the way in which they threaten to affect every TDM match, we do expect a hasty patch. Arenas had a similar problem at launch, before a leavers penalty was added, so a penalty of sorts could work here too. It will also presumably need to end matches if all enemy players quit or make it possible for players to be added to ongoing matches.

  • Apex Legends player finds a new spot to trap people with Caustic’s gas – Dexerto

Apex Legends player finds a new spot to trap people with Caustic’s gas Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player found a new spot in the Bunker to spam Caustic’s Gas Traps, bringing a renewed terror back to King’s Canyon. Respawn Entertainment had cleaned up the dreaded Bunker room in the March 19 patch by taking away the camping spots along the high walls of the room. But it looks like there’s one more spot for players to watch out for. In a Reddit post, user ‘tpqzefir’ put together a hilarious compilation using a new place to perch themselves, bringing the Toxic Trapper true to form once again. Ruining matches to the tune of the original Wii Shop Channel music, the Caustic player can be seen hanging out in the Northeast corner in one of the Bunker’s Server Rooms sitting and waiting for a victim. The room is painted black halfway above the wall, where the player is comfortably fixed above, making it hard for passerby players to notice them while looting. Like the last high spots, if Caustic aims his Gas Traps correctly they could actually trap a player within the room as it fills with toxic Nox fumes. The result: a stress-induced panic by the trapped player while they slowly realize that their match will soon come an end. But it seems like tpqzefir was having a blast doing it. His video showed instance after instance of him throwing down the Gas Traps at the opportune moment, whether a single person came to loot the room or a fight broke out with him just waiting in the sidelines to clean up damaged players. Commenters were split on what to hate about tpqzefir’s discovery. Some people hated that he posted the video which will undoubtedly result in more players trying out the spot, while Caustic mains hated it because now more of the community is aware about the exploit to counter it. The new spot can be used for great effect and tons of fun, so it will be interesting to see if Respawn cleans this spot to or leaves it for Caustic players to enjoy themselves.

  • Apex Legends players discover new QR code in-game in Season 15 update – Dexerto

Apex Legends players discover new QR code in-game in Season 15 update Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have uncovered a ‘disguised’ QR code in-game following the launch of the Season 15 update. With the introduction of stickers, Respawn has slid in a sneaky code linking to the developer’s website as players try to affix the new cosmetic. Apex Legends Season 15 has launched with players getting stuck into all the new content. Whether it be Catalyst, who is already dividing players with her weak launch, or the new Broken Moon map which has received a much more positive reception, there’s plenty to tackle. One of the new additions is stickers, which players can equip on their meds — Shields and Med Kits both. It’s a nice thing to look at really, jazzing up the blues and reds players have seen for the last three years, although the prices have been criticized by some. Respawn have managed to sneak in an extra thing though with the system: a QR code. When players put a sticker on a health med, the gadget storing said syringe or med kit has a QR code emblazoned on both sides. You can scan it with your phone too, and it actually takes you somewhere. Don’t expect anything special though. There’s no special rewards or otherwise in the QR code. Instead it takes you to the Respawn website, where you can look at the developer’s other projects and maybe apply for a job. However, given they’ve added a QR code here, they could spice things up in the future. Maybe they change the code to direct players to a different address down the line, or add more hidden codes in-game.

  • Apex Legends adds new “orientation” matches in Season 16 – Dexerto

Apex Legends adds new “orientation” matches in Season 16 Respawn EntertainmentWith Season 16, Apex Legends will add a way for brand-new players to get used to the basics quite easily. Here’s everything you need to know about the new “orientation” matches. Apex Legends has been out for more than four years and within this time, the game has seen a ton of pro players and prodigies dominating the lobbies. However, several new players hop into the game from time to time, to try something new in the BR genre. The problem with brand-new players trying Apex is that they get outplayed by better or experienced players. This hinders the experience for them and Respawn Entertainment brings a workaround in Season 16. New players joining this season will now have to complete a few orientation matches, here’s a rundown of how it works. What is “orientation” in Apex Legends? The purpose of the introduction of “orientation” matches in Season 16 is to get new players settled with the basics of the game at their own pace. Available to new players, Respawn will now match them up with a server mostly full of bots. This will help them get their bearings and go through a full loop of the BR. If you are one of those new players, you can also queue up with a more experienced player if they’re introducing you to the game. There will be 16 squads of bots, except your team. There is also a chance of four squads having actual players as you proceed with the matches. All of these matches will be played on Kings Canyon. Once you earn enough reps by coming first or top 5, you will “graduate” be placed in the full population with the rest of the playerbase. With the help of these “orientation” matches in Apex Legends, new players will be able to learn the game without better players getting involved. After this when they hop onto matches filled with real players, they’ll be able to put up a better show.

  • Apex Legends new level cap explained: Up to 2000 levels and more Apex Packs – Dexerto

Apex Legends new level cap explained: Up to 2000 levels and more Apex Packs Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends finally has a new level cap, arriving with the Season 14 update. But, it’s not as straightforward as just increasing the number on your badge – here’s how the level cap increase works, and how many Apex packs you can get. The original level cap of 100 was quickly increased to 500 in year one of Apex, and it has stayed there ever since. For much of that time, the most dedicated players have been calling for a much-needed increase. The new increase won’t actually take players higher than level 500 though, instead, it operates like a prestige system, where you can grind your way through the levels multiple times. What is the level cap in Apex Legends? Starting on August 9, the new level cap is 2000 – but it will operate as 500 levels, 4 times. Respawn is adding another three tiers of 500 levels to grind through, on top of the original 500 players could already complete. Each time you progress to a new tier, the color and design of your level badge will change, to show off which tier you’re on. The colors are green with an Octane theme for tier 2, then blue with what appears to be a Lifeline theme for tier 3, then red for the final tier. It’s not clear yet if the time to complete each 500 levels is the same in each tier, or if it gets progressively harder. How many Apex Packs do you get from levels? Because new levels are being added, players will also be rewarded with more Apex Packs as they level up. The 1500 extra levels that are being added (500×3) will provide an extra 345 packs in total. This means the total number of packs you can earn from leveling up is 544 – more than the 500 needed to guarantee an heirloom. So, all players will now be guaranteed to unlock an heirloom, if they dedicate enough time to grind through all of the levels. Leveling up will also grant more Legend tokens to players, which can be used for unlocking Legends as well as some cosmetic items. Also coming in Season 14 is the new Legend Vantage, as well as big changes to Kings Canyon..

  • Apex Legends players discover new issue with loot tables following Legendary Hunt patch – Dexerto

Apex Legends players discover new issue with loot tables following Legendary Hunt patch Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have been enjoying all the new content that the Legendary Hunt patch introduced to the game, but now they’re finding a bug with latest update that reverted crucial loot tables throughout Kings Canyon. Respawn Entertainment launched their highly anticipated in-game event on June 4, giving players more skins to unlock and a brand new Elite Queue to test out their skills against the best in the game. Though some players have been noticing that the patch might have accidentally reverted a previous change to the loot tables that brought back a rise in spawns for stronger weapons in the game, while making Energy weapons and ammo harder to find. In a Reddit post, user ‘RotomGuy’ voiced some observations they had during their recent matches in an attempt to raise awareness, hoping to get the attention of the Respawn Entertainment developers. “A while back some alterations were made to the loot tables,” RotomGuy said. “Being that Wingmen and Peacekeepers were made rarer, and Energy Weapons and ammo were made more common… But in the Legendary Hunt patch, these adjustments appear to have been accidentally reverted.” Furthermore, they point out that Lifeline’s Care Package had also been changed to prevent Level 4 Body Armor from spawning in the ult. But it seems like this too has been reverted seeing as how they noticed Gold items coming in ordinance. Similarly, players have been noticing a spike in Wingman pistols and Peacekeepers around the Apex Games arena. Conversely, RotomGuy says “Triple Takes appear once in a blue moon” since Havoc and the rest of the Energy options have seemingly disappeared en mass. When would a loot table update come to Apex Legends? It seems like RotomGuy is “waiting for an acknowledgement in the Known Issues thread but it seems Respawn still don’t know” about the changes. Fans are hoping the developers notice in time to sneak a much needed update with the June 2 patch that should bring upcoming legend Wattson to the game. Time will tell if Respawn will be able to implement a fix in time for that patch, but it looks like it would definitely be much appreciated by the Apex Legends community.

  • Apex Legends new “hump strafing” trick is OP and funny at the same time – Dexerto

Apex Legends new “hump strafing” trick is OP and funny at the same time Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has found a new “hump strafing” trick while playing Solo Takeover, and it is OP and funny at the same time. Apex Legends players are always searching for new ways to outplay their enemies. While some exploits boosted players to Predator in earlier seasons, others give them an advantage over opponents in ways that are hard to imagine. Now, one Apex player, Treeree, has found a new strafing trick that involves “humping” doors. All the player did was jump, hang on the edge of a door, and spam the “W” button. This made the player’s model move up and down really fast, making it difficult for the enemy to shoot them down. This animation showed the character model using both hands to grab the door, yet they still could fire their weapon at the same time. The bullet spread was minimal, resulting in them landing accurate shots. Even though it looks funny, it made gunfights a lot more difficult for enemies. The community was taken aback by such maneuvers, leaving them unsure how they “should feel about this post.” Some players blame the game’s net code as it “lets you shoot through doors and around walls.” This “hump strafing” trick is quite different from how tap-strafing works in the game. This is not the first time a trick related to strafing went viral. Previously, players found ridiculous “dora strafe” and “Raf strafing” movement tricks that made it impossible to hit enemies. While Respawn disabled certain Legends and weapons in the past due to glitches and exploits, we are unsure if they’ll do the same this time around.

  • Apex Legends: New Founders and starter packs reportedly leaked – Dexerto

Apex Legends: New Founders and starter packs reportedly leaked Data miners looking through the picked up over 25 million total players in the first two weeks since it’s release. The former Titanfall developer has already announced their plans for the first year of content with their roadmap, that will include a battle pass system, but it also looks other content will be available for purchase too – and quite possibly before the battle pass releases. In a leak discovered by Gaming Intel, data miners have seemingly stumbled upon a new set of Apex Legends Founders and starter packs. These packs, available at different price ranges, give fans a bundle of exclusive cosmetic content like weapon skins, character skins, badge and banner frames, while also throwing in a few bits of in-game currency, Apex Coins, too. Very little is known about the new content release as the Gaming Intel leak does not reveal any specifics about what would be introduced to the game nor does it give a release date. Any new set of Founders and Starter packs would likely offer similar content to those that are already – adding different exclusive cosmetics that would entice fans to hand over their cash. However, they were seemingly discovered alongside the new Twitch Prime rewards for players so they could be arriving sooner than you think.

  • Apex Legends new Date Night LTM explained: Start time, duos & more – Dexerto

Apex Legends new Date Night LTM explained: Start time, duos & more Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment announced that a new Date Night LTM is coming to Apex Legends following the Celestial Sunrise Collection event. Apex Legends has announced a handful of new game modes coming with the Celestial Sunrise Collection event starting on January 24, 2023. Alongside the Collection Event fans can expect the new Hardcore Royale LTM mode, where players are restricted to White Armor and have limited HUD elements, among other things. Now, developer Respawn Entertainment has also confirmed another brand-new LTM will release after the Celestial Sunrise Collection event, called the Date Night LTM. Respawn reveals new duos LTM coming to Apex Legends The new mode was revealed in Respawn’s official blog post detailing the Celestial Sunrise Collection event. According to the post, this mode is expected to release “following the conclusion of Celestial Sunrise on February 7…” The Date Night LTM is duos-oriented and features a unique healing mechanic. Using any healing item will mark an area around the Legend, and if the Duos partner is standing in that area when the healing item finishes they will receive the benefits of the item as well. Additionally, the Date Night LTM also includes a new Limited Time Weapon called The Heart Stealer. The Heart Stealer is a version of the Bocek Bow that heals you a percentage of the damage you do, which will also heal a Duo partner if they’re close by. LTMs have been a hot topic among the Apex Legends community for some time, as many players felt that the game’s offering of LTMs was lacking. For example, the returning Winter Express LTM in 2022 garnered some heavy backlash among players due to its lack of meaningful changes. Of course, some LTMs like the ongoing Control mode have been praised by fans for its creativity and challenge. It seems Respawn is on the right track to making good on its promise of more LTMs finally coming to Apex Legends. Hopefully, players can expect more new modes as 2023 continues.

  • Apex Legends dev explains why they don’t release more new Legends – Dexerto

Apex Legends dev explains why they don’t release more new Legends Apex Legends players are thirsty for new content, be it new weapons, map changes or new characters. However, these Legends (or characters) take a long time to develop. During an episode of EA Unplugged, where various producers come together to discuss gaming development, Drew McCoy shared why new Legends aren’t regularly added. Since Apex Legends released all the way back in February 2019, only two Legends have been added to the game. Octane, the adrenaline junkie, was released as part of a Season 1 addition. Wattson on the other hand, the second legend to be added, was introduced as recently as July 2. She was added to the game alongside the beginning of Apex Legends Season 2. McCoy, the Executive Producer at Respawn Entertainment, the company that develops Apex Legends, shared the process behind making a new legend, disclosing how long it takes to make them. “We have never made a character in under 18 months,” McCoy said. “It’s usually a year and a half to make a legend,” providing some perspective as to how much planning goes into each. It means each are meticulously designed and can therefore not be added to the game on the drop of a dime. There is also more to just designing a new character – significant play testing, game balancing and recording actual lines is all part of the process. Interestingly, McCoy also revealed that the first eight characters were made simultaneously. Given this information, Apex Legends characters were being designed all the way back in December 2017 – providing insight as to just how long the game was kept secret before its surprise release. Alluding to the release of future Legends, McCoy added: “We have a bunch of characters all hitting different milestones every month.” This sounds like Respawn don’t have a set plan on which Legends are coming in subsequent seasons but at least tentatively confirms there will be more to come in the future.

  • Apex Legends’ new Broken Moon map is more like World’s Edge than Storm Point – Dexerto

Apex Legends’ new Broken Moon map is more like World’s Edge than Storm Point Respawn EntertainmentRespawn is debuting the newest map in Apex Legends, Broken Moon, with Season 15 – and fans of the game’s other map, World’s Edge, will be glad to know that they have sized it similarly, as opposed to the much larger Storm Point. Storm Point, released in Season 11, is a beautiful location, with a tropical vibe. But, despite its aesthetic appeal, many players have criticized for it being too large, resulting in slow-paced mid-games and long travel times to get back into the zone. On the other hand, World’s Edge has been lauded as a great competitive map, especially for ranked play, and so Respawn is taking this feedback on board for Broken Moon. Broken Moon “slightly larger” than World’s Edge In development since Season 8, Broken Moon takes players to Cleo, the moon of the planet Boreas – home of Seer and Catalyst, the new Season 15 legend. Respawn explained during a press event for the new season that they had learned their lesson from Storm Point, hearing the feedback from players. While Storm Point won’t be in rotation in Season 15, Broken Moon should be a great replacement. Broken Moon is only “slightly larger” than World’s Edge, Respawn’s level designers reiterated. And, in addition, it has new Ziprails, exclusive to this map, that allow for very fast rotates around the map. In addition the raw size of the map though, the developers were also acutely aware of the problems that smaller POIs can pose. So, on Broken Moon, POIs are much, much larger. In some cases, the POIs are double the size of typical named locations on other maps. This is done to prevent the problem of hot drops, where multiple enemy teams land in a confined area, fighting over too few resources in terms of loot. Broken Moon will be available right away when Apex Season 15 starts, on November 1.

  • Apex Legends’ new Broken Moon map is literally broken with invisible walls – Dexerto

Apex Legends’ new Broken Moon map is literally broken with invisible walls Respawn EntertainmentThe newest map in Apex Legends, Broken Moon, has some hitboxes that are leaving players puzzled as their bullets bounce off of invisible walls. Broken Moon was introduced at the outset of Apex Legends Season 15, and players are still getting a feel for how to best play on the unfamiliar landscape. Between the new cross-map ziplines and gorgeous vistas, there’s a lot to like. But there are some players that have pointed out a glaring issue with the map. There are parts of Broken Moon with invisible walls that are stopping players’ bullets in their tracks, even when they appear to be open spaces that players can shoot through. Apex Legends players expose Broken Moon hitbox issues With a game like Apex Legends that has a high level of detail across the board, it can be easy to forget the basics that go into creating a map and the hitboxes for on-screen geometry. No matter how visually complex and detailed parts of the map are, there’s a skeleton that dictates the “hitbox” for how the player can traverse those parts of the map and where bullets get blocked. Points where the skeleton for the map conflicts with what we see in-game creates invisible walls. With some time on the newest map, Apex Legends players have identified that not all is as it seems on Broken Moon, and that the skeleton for the map’s geography doesn’t quite match up with the way it appears. This clip from Reddit user On_The_Podium exemplifies what it can look like for a player to lose a firefight as a result of geometry with a hitbox that doesn’t match how it appears in-game. Just when this Wattson player thought they had the drop on a wounded Ash, their first volley of bullets amounted to nothing but a cloud of dust and a whole lot of noise before the player walked around the rock a bit more to find the actual point where they could land shots. And, by that time, the Ash had already been alerted to their presence. CrazyGoodDude, the top commenter on the post, had a lot to say about this seemingly common issue players are encountering on Broken Moon, and spoke about getting caught on geometry when trying to move or having grenades get blocked by “invisible walls”. With inaccurate hitboxes not being nearly as common in other Apex Legends maps, Broken Moon itself seems to be the root of the problem.

  • Apex Legends Network concept would make it easier for players find teammates – Dexerto

Apex Legends Network concept would make it easier for players find teammates An Apex Legends fan has developed a concept that would make it easier for players to join and participate in social groups while in the game. There are plenty of features that Apex Legends fans would like to see implemented in the game, and while many prioritize gameplay elements like new playlists and custom games, others would simply like it to be easier to socialize. Apex Legends has a basic friend system, but doesn’t have any means of tracking particular groups, or building communities of people to play with. For the most part, it’s only possible to really interact with two other people at a time, and no way of linking a larger group of friends. Reddit user FrozenFroh has put together a concept which combines the Titanfall Network system, which combines the Networks system from Titanfall 2 with visuals from Apex, using the dropship as a “base”. Networks allowed players to create and join social groups of players, making it easier to group up and encouraging playing together, while also enabling larger communities to identify themselves with clan tags. FrozenFroh’s concept would offer players a means of communicating with more than just the two players in your squad without having to use a third-party platform, as well as a looking-for-group feature that would inform those in your Network that you’re putting together a squad. This would help streamline the process of grouping up, reducing the need to manually message or invite multiple players in the search for available teammates, while also allowing for a greater amount of social interaction beyond the three people in a squad at any given moment – both issues that can be even more pronounced for those with extensive friends lists. Whether Respawn will ever develop a system like this remains to be seen, however. CEO Vince Zampella recently stated that the developers didn’t plan on competing with Epic’s plans to turn Fortnite into a “social platform”, which involves offering a variety of creative tools, but a more simple system like this inspired by one of Respawn’s own games may not be out of reach at some point in the future.

  • Apex Legends’ netcode shows severe problems compared to Fortnite, PUBG, and Blackout – Dexerto

Apex Legends’ netcode shows severe problems compared to Fortnite, PUBG, and Blackout Respawn EntertainmentYouTuber Battle(non)sense made a complete analysis of Apex Legends’ netcode and compared them to the other popular battle royales with some surprising results. Apex Legends has attracted over 50 million players since its February 4 launch. While many are loving the game, numerous issues with the network has frustrated players because of its effect on a given match. Battle(non)sense did a side-by-side comparison of all the netcodes from the most popular battle royales and their features, making it simple to see why and where Apex Legends falters. It looks like Apex Legends suffers the most from network delay between two players on the same server and ping. Respawn’s battle royale showed the highest interval of lag with damage, gunfire, and movement. Even though Apex Legends has provided one of the most exciting takes on a battle royale, Battle(non)sense was disappointed with it’s lack of netcode related features. (Timestamp at 1:10 for mobile viewers) Network Warning Icons, Network Stats Overlays and even an FPS limiter are all missing from Apex Legends. While major battle royales like Fortnite and PUBG at least have them in an albeit limited capacity. Apex Legends also utilizes packet splitting due to the size of information that’s being sent for every update in the game. This leaves the game more prone to packet loss which can cause the game to skip actions, leading to a worse playing experience. Though the packet loss does improve as the game goes on, Battle(non)sense says its largely due to less people in the server, so there’s less information that needs to be updated. Even though the YouTuber praised Apex Legends for its fresh take on battle royales, they called on Respawn Entertainment to fix the problems with its network before players flock to another title.

  • Apex Legends squad stunned after finding Nessie easter egg in Gun Run – Dexerto

Apex Legends squad stunned after finding Nessie easter egg in Gun Run Electronic ArtsAt the start of Gun Run, Apex Legends teams are being labeled Nessie Squad, an incredibly rare occurrence that few know about. A holdover from Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall days, Nessie has long counted as a fan-favorite Easter egg in Apex Legends. Notably, plushie versions of the creature lay scattered across the Kings Canyon map. Nessie plushies exist as stuffed collectibles in the real world, too. As such, Nessie Easter eggs are always a beloved sight for fans. And one recent sighting has taken take Apex faithful by surprise. Apex Legends assume the role of Nessie Squad in Gun Run Typically, the start of each Gun Run match divides four groups of three into the following squads – Bear, Eagle, Tiger, and Wolf. In the last several days, however, some teams have been assigned a brand-new name, Nessie Squad. Shadytheruler noticed the Easter egg and shared a screenshot with proof on Apex’s subreddit. Twitter user Fatthew Mantasia‘s crew similarly assumed the role of Nessie Squad a few days ago. Respawn’s Senior Technical Experience Designer, Justin Masse, came across the tweet and that he added the “super rare” Easter egg to the game. Masse later told curious fans that Nessie Squad selections in Apex Legends are all about random rolls. According to the developer, there’s a 1 in 1,000 chance that Team Wolf will turn into Team Nessie. The odds that one team will take the Nessie mantle over their opponents are 1 in 4, Masse continued. All in all, Gun Run matches featuring a Nessie-branded crew rely upon chance. And since Gun Run constitutes a limited-time mode, it seems the vast majority of players may never know the joy of being picked for Nessie Squad.

  • Apex Legends nerfs assault rifles in Season 16 with R-301 hit hardest – Dexerto

Apex Legends nerfs assault rifles in Season 16 with R-301 hit hardest Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 16 will nerf assault rifles as a weapon class, with the historically dominant R-301 being weakened most significantly by Respawn Entertainment. As is the case with most battle royales, the weapon pool has to be balanced and varied to allow different playstyles to flourish. That rings true with Apex Legends, even if trusted weapons have a habit of rising to the top of the meta each season. Thanks to their versatility, assault rifles have long been some of the most popular guns in Apex, with weapons like the Havoc, R-301, and VK-47 Flatline regularly picked up and equipped by players of all standards. That looks set to change in Season 16, though. Apex Legends Season 16 nerfs all assault rifles With the new season, which promises a host of balancing changes, assault rifles across the board will be nerfed. This will be in the form of a hip fire accuracy decrease, so it will be harder for players to hit their shots before they are aiming down sight. Given ARs slower draw speeds, it will be a boost to players who generally rock SMGs. Not only will the perpetually popular R-301 be affected by the hip fire nerf, but it will also see its damage decreased. Where it previously did 14 damage per shot, it will now only do 13. With players in Apex having 100 HP as a base (up to 250 with armor) it could mean an extra few shots to kill. In short, the R-301’s dominance might be at an end, especially with the new Nemesis burst-fire AR shaking up the weapon class as well. The nerfs may be unpopular with some R-301 mains, but they fit with Respawn’s wider aim to make Season 16 a meta-defining campaign in the game’s history. You can check out our updated Apex Legends weapon tier list here, so you know exactly what to pick up when you’re in the thick of it.

  • Apex Legends Neon Network Collection event patch notes: Loba story, Compute Nodes, Valkyrie Prestige skin – Dexerto

Apex Legends Neon Network Collection event patch notes: Loba story, Compute Nodes, Valkyrie Prestige skin Respawn EntertainmentThe final event for Apex Legends Season 17 is coming on July 25: the Neon Network collection event. Here’s what’s coming, including Valkyrie’s Prestige skin, a new Battle Royale takeover, and an interactive story segment with Loba. This collection event introduces a few twists, unlike previous collections, thanks mainly to the new event currency, Compute Nodes. Instead of unlocking items the traditional way, you will unlock them with these Compute Nodes, that are awarded after matches. Unlocking all the event items will automatically grant you Valkyrie’s Prestige skin. Neon Network Collection event update The Neon Network Collection Event will go live on July 25, expected at the usual time of 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST. Starting things off will be a new “interactive introduction” before entering the battle royale – which has a new takeover. Node Tracker Takeover Unranked Battle Royale matches will have a twist for the duration of the event. In them, you will need to “locate the optimal location to connect, and hack into leads across the map to receive loot and Compute Nodes.” After the match, Compute Nodes, a new form of currency, will be available to use in the event shop. With these Compute Nodes, you will be able to pick and choose what you want to unlock from the shop. Challenges will be refreshed daily, and there is a limit on how many Compute Nodes you can earn per day. New skins As always, there are 24 new skins and items in the Collection Event to unlock, including new Legendary skins for Ash, Ballistic, Lifeline and Gibraltar. Unlocking all 24 items in the event will automatically unlock Valkyrie’s Prestige skin, called Apex Interceptor. Just like all other Prestige skins, there are three levels that you can upgrade it through. What about buffs & nerfs? There are no balance changes in this update, or bug fixes listed in the patch notes. For that, it looks like we’ll be waiting until the launch of Apex Season 18, when we can also expect big changes to Ranked play that Respawn has already revealed.

  • Apex Legends Nemesis AR secret animation found after dev teaser – Dexerto

Apex Legends Nemesis AR secret animation found after dev teaser Respawn EntertainmentA secret reload animation for the Season 16 Nemesis assault rifle has been discovered after it was teased by an Apex Legends developer. Apex Legends Season 16 dropped back on February 14, bringing a huge amount of changes to Respawn’s battle royale. The biggest change was undoubtedly to Legend classification, introducing five new Legend categories, each with their own unique perk. It also introduced the new Nemesis assault rifle, which has quickly been denounced as “overpowered” by the community and prominent figures alike. Now, a new secret animation has been discovered after it was teased by a dev. Nemesis AR secret animation discovered after Apex Legends dev teaser On February 21, developer Allan Zhang thanked colleagues for their hard work in designing and implementing the Nemesis in game. In his tweet, he also hinted at a secret reload animation, saying: “There should be a cool reload somewhere…” Naturally, the community were spurred on to discover it and, on February 22, it was discovered by leaker KralRindo. “After trying so many times… finally got the secret nemesis reload animation!” they said, “it’s a Titanfall splitter rifle reference!” The developer also responded to confirm it had been “found”. It’s not the first secret animation players have uncovered in Apex Legends. Back in January, an “extremely rare” R99 reload was uncovered by players to join the G7 Scout and Peacekeeper. Given Respawn’s evident attention to detail, we’re certain there are more easter eggs and secret animations for players to discover.

  • Apex Legends: Names and abilities of new legends leaked – Dexerto

Apex Legends: Names and abilities of new legends leaked Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is already one of the most successful games of 2019, and it looks like there could be plenty of new legends headed to the title very soon. Update 2/24: Additional evidence of the new Legends has been found in the form of player card names. Original story as follows. Several Twitter users posted screenshots of purported leaks that may have been data mined from Apex’s source code, which appear to show a number of new legends and abilities. Two possible future legends found by data miners seem to have the names “Octane” and “Wattson”. 600https://twitter.com/shrugtal Besides the names, leakers were able to find potential abilities for each character. Octane appears to have a “Stimpack” ability, while Wattson has a Tesla Trap – probably some kind of trap that damages players as they’re trapped, or stops them from moving for a certain amount of time. Octane’s “Stimpack” is more vague, it could be a boost to health of ultimate charge, or something else entirely. There’s just not enough information yet to know for sure. Besides Wattson and Octane, leakers also found a number of possible new characters, but whether or not they’re all legit is still unknown: Crypto – Husaria – Jericho – Nomad – Prophet – Rampart – Rosie – Skunner – https://twitter.com/ApexLeaksNews Besides naming the potential new legends, there’s no information on when any of the new characters will be available – or if they ever will. Still, data mined leaks have proven to be somewhat accurate in the past, so fans will just have to wait and see if this one is legit or not. Respawn has made it clear they want to provide plenty of content for players, so new legends coming to the battlefield might not be too far off.

  • Apex Legends: Names and rarities of unreleased skins have been leaked – Dexerto

Apex Legends: Names and rarities of unreleased skins have been leaked Like popular games before it, data miners are starting to sift through the Apex Legends’ files to see if there are any signs of previously unannounced content on its way – and it seems like they’ve stumbled on some new skins just over a week after the game’s release. Players are loving Apex Legends’ take on battle royales, but like many free-to-play games, skins and other cosmetics are routinely released for the community to buy. Lucky for fans, the occasional peak into the game files can sometimes reveal upcoming content. A new leak has revealed what could be the names for a few Legendary skins that match up with brief glimpses of yet-to-be-announced cosmetics seen in an Apex Legends trailer. Bloodhound seems to be getting a skin called ‘Great Winter,’ and, looking at the game’s trailer, shows the Technological Tracker with more of a menacing look than they usually have. The trailer gave a glimpse of what the skins could be, but the leak might have detailed what they are.Respawn have somehow made Bangalore look more dangerous than she already does. Bangalore’s Legendary was revealed to be called ‘Full Metal Jacket,’ which looks to be the case, as she was seen sporting a complete soldier’s outfit – with matching visor, to boot. Finally, Gibraltar’s Legendary seems to be called ‘Soft Power’ – however, his flower-covered skin in the trailer doesn’t seem to match too well with the leaked name. The game has already released some of the skins featured in the trailer, such as the Gibraltar’s Neural Net Legendary skins, Wraith’s Void Specialist, and Bloodhound’s Heat Sync skin. • Apex Legends: Mysterious Nessy Easter Egg could hint at in-game event [UPDATED] – Dexerto

Apex Legends: Mysterious Nessy Easter Egg could hint at in-game event [UPDATED] A bizarre Apex Legends Easter Egg could hint at an in-game mystery waiting to be unravelled. Apex developers Respawn Entertainment have hinted that there could be more to an unexplained Easter Egg than meets the eye. During one of Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek’s streams, an eagle-eyed viewer noticed an unusual line in the kill feed, seemingly unrelated to anything the streamer was doing. The somewhat ominous text “A Nessy Appears…” came up, apparently unprompted by any action Shroud had taken. This isn’t the first instance of a “Nessy” appearing in Apex Legends. In fact, it’s something of a running Easter Egg for Respawn games more broadly. A variety of small “Nessy” statues can be found in various locations in both Titanfall games, for instance. Read more: Everything you need to know about Apex Legends – full guides for weapons, Legends, map, packs, and more – Respawn’s fascination with “Nessy” has never been explained, but it seems to have carried into Apex Legends. One of the figurines has already been found in the training map, but this line in the kill feed is a more explicit reference, and one that hints at something more active than the hidden Nessy figures. The line might yet have been easily written off as an extension of the Easter Egg, until the Respawn Entertainment Community Manager dropped into a Reddit thread on the matter to hint that there might be a little more to it. “Let’s just say someone is on to something…” was the only hint offered, suggesting a deeper level of intrigue but giving no clues as to what it might actually mean. Exactly what the message could be hinting at remains a complete mystery at the moment. It’s possible this could be the first in a series of hints leading into an in-game event of some sort, as Epic Games have done with a variety of events in Fortnite. If Respawn take this approach, it’s possible that the “Nessies” could tie in with the giant dinosaurs roaming outside of the map in some way perhaps resulting in their interacting rather than simply standing there. Alternatively, it could just be a slightly more elaborate Easter Egg, or perhaps nothing at all. UPDATE The mystery of the Nessy easter egg has finally been solved, as YouTuber Miguel Lozada has managed to fully crack the code on this mysterious event. There are a total of 10 “Nessies” spread around the map that players must hunt down and shoot in a specific order, meaning that players will need to work with some friends to get this done. Once the final one is shot, a giant Loch Ness Monster will appear in the water off the edge of the map! While this looks to be end of the mystery for now, there’s no telling whether Respawn decides to add to it with more easter eggs or events in the future.

  • Apex Legends muzzle flash fix finally coming soon – Dexerto

Apex Legends muzzle flash fix finally coming soon Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment have finally confirmed that they’re working on a fix for muzzle flash in Apex Legends after months of player complaints. When Apex Legends launched in February 2019, players had the option to disable muzzle flash from weapons entirely, but an update in June saw this option removed from the game, a decision that proved quite unpopular with some players. Many complained that the muzzle flash effects, which produce bursts of light from the end of weapons when fired, were too extreme, making it unnecessarily difficult to keep track of enemies while shooting. What once were simple gunfights with the effects turned off could become chaotic and unpredictable just because the player could no longer properly see what they were aiming at. Players also argued that these effects were worse at lower FPS and graphics settings, arguably making the handicap greater for those with less powerful PCs. While Respawn’s refusal to simply reverse their decision entirely and reintroduce the ability to turn it off suggests they are committed to having all players experience the same effects, it does seem they’ve been listening to the complaints after all. Respawn producer Josh Medina confirmed on Twitter that the muzzle flash effects have been a “deeper issue than expected”, and while the developers have been working on adjusting it, they “want to properly fix instead of half ass it,” which takes more time. Some of the modes have simple concepts but they definitely change the way we play the game so that’s exciting to get out the door Muzzle flash has been a deeper issue than expected, we are adjusting it so we want to properly fix instead of half ass it but it takes time #Soon — josh medina (@lowkeydbjosh) January 9, 2020 In terms of a timeline for when players might see an update to muzzle flash in-game, Medina offered only a “#Soon”, but it will certainly be welcome news nevertheless for those who have been frustrated by the effects for more than six months now. The news follows the announcement of Apex’s Grand Soirée event, which is set to run from January 14 to 28 and introduce seven new Limited Time Modes, a variety of new cosmetics and more. The event will round out the current season, with Season 4 set to launch on February 4, meaning Apex Legends players have plenty to look forward to over the coming months.

  • Apex Legends muzzle flash comparisons show which guns have been buffed – Dexerto

Apex Legends muzzle flash comparisons show which guns have been buffed EAFollowing Apex Legends’ System Override Collection Event update, the long-awaited patch on the infamous muzzle flash issues went live – and a number of weapons received a reduction. Muzzle flash has plagued players since June 2019, after Respawn pushed their 1.2 update live which made it almost impossible to see opponents passed the dazzling effects coming out of the muzzle of the gun. While muzzle flash is a common feature in shooters, the crux of the issues lies in that the degree of light emitted from each weapon was too extreme, and thus obscuring your view of your opponent while trying to gun them down. So, as expected, fans were overjoyed to hear that the vast majority of weapons had received a tweak as part of the System Override event update on March 3. Per Respawn’s patch notes, the developers have “reduced the intensity of muzzle flash while aiming down the sight for all weapons except shotties and snipers.” But this didn’t clarify the extent of the reduction for each weapon specifically. So one canny Reddit user compared some of the more popular weapons and posted their findings to the Apex Legends subreddit. The video highlights the difference between pre-patch and post-patch muzzle flash, which has been visibly mitigated for the R-99, Havoc, L-Star, Flatline, R301 and Spitfire. ‘Mnkymnk’ showcased each of the above weapons, as these were among the most affected in-game before the update. Drawing comparisons in different surroundings, there has been a noticeable reduction in all weapons bar the L-Star, which looks almost identical to the ‘old’ version of the weapon. One user even commented: “They barely changed that gun’s muzzle flash at all. Without the text overlay, I doubt I could have guessed which clip was the new one.” Respawn have taken their time to implement the muzzle flash measures, after promising to do so back in January. However, it appears that some players set their expectations a little too high with this patch.

Read More: Apex Legends Season 1: Wild Frontier Update – Patch notes, Battle Pass, new Legend and more – Music packs are interesting because that makes it seem like Apex Legends plans on adding new lobby music or music for future in-game events. It looks like music packs are on the way to Apex Legends. Apex Legends hasn’t announced any sort of in-game events yet and there’s nothing really indicating it will happen which leads us to believe this might end up just being menu music. It’s possible Respawn could change things up and introduce events to the game to give it more of a Fortnite feel but that remains to be seen for now. Music Packs?!?!?! Why you copying Fortnite? We want you to be Apex not Fortnite.#ApexLegends #ApexLegendsBattleRoyale #ApexPartner #ApexLegendsleaks #apexlegendsclips #apexlegendscommunity pic.twitter.com/d7v2zplaJI — Apex Legends – News & Leaks (@RealApexLeaks) March 19, 2019 Perhaps these music packs could become available as future Battle Pass rewards starting with Season 2. Fortnite put music packs available as rewards which allowed players to change up ending and lobby music. It’s important to note that this is just a leak for right now and should be treated as such. Nothing has been indicated by Respawn that music packs or any of the other leaks would come into the game.

  • How to master the Mozambique in Apex Legends: tips, damage stats & DPS – Dexerto

How to master the Mozambique in Apex Legends: tips, damage stats & DPS Respawn Entertainment / DexertoThe Mozambique is Apex Legends’ most notorious gun, and not for a good reason. The shotgun pistol was once the worst weapon in the game. It arguably still is. However, if you’re stuck with the ‘bique, there’s some tricks you can utilize to fend off enemies. The Mozambique isn’t as terrible as it once was. The Season 9 update increased its magazine capacity to six bullets, which is much better than when it had three. It’s by no means a gun you take with you the entire game, but it’s not useless in those fights right off the drop. If you are one of the unlucky souls that finds yourself scrapping it out with a Mozambique, don’t fear. We’ve got a couple of tricks for you so you can get the most out of the shotgun, before ditching it for another weapon entirely (please don’t run it all game). Apex Legends Mozambique damage stats The Mozambique doesn’t do a lot of damage, that’s for sure. The pistol hits for around 15 damage a pellet, so you need to be landing all three to be of value. The 180 RPM also means you run out of ammo pretty quickly before reloading with only four bullets in the chamber. Read More: Apex Legends weapons tier list – The full damage breakdown for the Mozambique can be found below: Mozambique attachments The Mozambique takes the same attachments as every other shotgun in the game — a scope, and a shotgun bolt. You can find the full list of all the available attachments below: Optics 1x Holo – 1x HCOG “Classic” – 2x HCOG “Bruiser” – 1x-2x Variable Holo – 1x Digital Threat – Shotgun Bolt Common – Rare – Epic – Good to hold attachments, but not much else Let’s just cut to the chase — if you find a gun that isn’t a Mozambique, you should pick it up to replace the shotgun. The Mozambique is one of the worst guns in the game. Read More: The best Legends in Apex Legends – However, it does serve a purpose. If you want to run an EVA-8 Auto or a Mastiff, you can use the Mozambique to hold shotgun bolts and sights. At least it saves you two slots in your inventory then. Remember to scope in before shooting If you are so unlucky that you have to use the Mozambique, then there’s one tip we can give you. You need to scope in before shooting, as it has a big impact on the gun’s spread. While the hipfire accuracy is okay, it’s a lot easier to fire if you look down sights. You also don’t get any movement penalties while scoping in, making it a win-win all around. You only have four bullets in the chamber, so giving yourself the best chance to hit them all by aiming down sights is your best bet.

  • Apex Legends movement trick turns players into Tony Hawk – Dexerto

Apex Legends movement trick turns players into Tony Hawk Electronic ArtsMovement tricks with a jump pad and full pipe slide allowed one Apex Legends player to channel Tony Hawk. The crew at Respawn Entertainment cut its teeth on making experiences with sleek movement-based abilities. However, not all of Titanfall’s beloved mobility mechanics migrated to Apex Legends. Some of the battle royale’s more inventive players have found ways to push the envelope in this regard, though. For example, the “Snuggle Sliding” or “Snuggle Bouncing” technique lets players bounce off a platform in the opposite direction to gain tremendous speed. This classic Titanfall speedrunning trick may take some practice, but other movement techniques should come simple to all players. Player channels Tony Hawk with Apex Legends movement trick Reddit user Birkeland1992 has uploaded footage of one of their favorite tricks to perform in Apex Legends. The move involves hitting a jump pad after a sprint, soaring over a gap, then sliding into a nearby pipe at high speeds. It seems a simple enough action to pull off, too, meaning anyone should be able to perform the Tony Hawk-esque stunt while playing. Interestingly, a Redditor in the thread made the Tony Hawk connection, telling the original poster that “Adding some [THPS] point tracking would be great.” The video’s creator said they’re not tech-savvy enough to accomplish such a feat, but the point still stands. Sometimes, Apex Legends’ movement mechanics can truly go beyond a player’s wildest expectations. In addition to tinkering with mobility tricks and the like, Apex Legends users are also preparing for the imminent rollout of Season 15. The next Apex Legends season will premiere on November 1, most notably introducing a character named Catalyst and a new moon map.

  • Apex Legends movement exploit gives every character unlimited speed boosts – Dexerto

Apex Legends movement exploit gives every character unlimited speed boosts Respawn EntertainmentAnother speed glitch has been discovered in Apex Legends and this time it’s possible to perform on it every character in the game. While gun skill will always be the most important aspect of Apex Legends, movement isn’t far behind. With mechanics like tap-strafing and wall-bouncing allowing players to gain small advantages over their opponents, these advanced techniques are definitely worth learning. Speed glitches on the other hand are unintended interactions that are accidentally discovered by the community. While they’re usually extremely rare, multiple were found in Season 11 and now, a new one has been discovered in Season 12 that is possible to perform on every Legend in the game. New speed glitch discovered in Apex Legends While the majority of speed glitches in the past were limited to certain Legends, this new bug in Season 12 is possible to perform on every character on the roster. Keep in mind, Respawn has been cracking down on players using movement-based exploits, so using this glitch may result in your account being suspended. As showcased by Apex Legends YouTuber RossBobSquirrel, the exploit involves equipping two weapons with attachments then holding onto a ledge. After that, it’s a case of removing an attachment and swapping both weapons to different slots, this will allow a player to press their Ultimate ability and melee at the same time for a boost. Although this is a fun glitch to play around with inside the Firing Range, taking into any online match is likely to get your account banned. As this exploit can be performed an infinite amount of times, this is definitely a bug Respawn will want to fix as soon as possible. Let’s hope a patch is pushed out in the near future to address the exploit before it starts getting abused in Ranked.

  • Apex Legends: Most popular places to land revealed – Dexerto

Apex Legends: Most popular places to land revealed Apex Legends players have voted on their favorite ‘drop zones’ on the King’s Canyon map, deciding the most popular locations, and the not-so-popular ones too. Choosing where to land in any battle royale can be a tricky decision, and it all comes down to personal preference and the direction of the landing ship that brings you into the map. But, many players will have at least one ‘go-to’ spot, where they know the loot is typically good and that they know like the back of their hand. In Apex Legends, every game a ‘high-tier’ loot area is designated, indicated by a large blue circle on the map, encouraging players to maybe switch it up each time. However, there are some areas that are simply better than others if you want to get fully kitted up before a fight, while others are best if you want to get into the action straight away. The official Apex Legends Twitter account ran their ‘map madness’ bracket in March, allowing players to vote between two drop zones each round, until a winner was decided. Skull Town or Bunker? Swamp or Slum Lakes? The community’s favorite drop zone shall me decided in #MapMadness! Feel free to fill out your own brackets, voting starts NOW pic.twitter.com/vLALTXNTOK — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) March 13, 2019 Most of the rounds were closely fought, but there were a few clear winners, such as Airbase beating nearby location Runoff by 76% to 24%. Of course there could only be one winner though, and in the end it was a comfortable victory for Skull Town, who got past Bridges, Market and Artillery, before meeting Bunker in the final round, winning handedly, 67% to 33%. The results are in: with over 1,000,000 votes cast over the course of the tournament, Skull Town reigns supreme as your 2019 #MapMadness Champion! pic.twitter.com/sLky0E8beB — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) March 17, 2019 Skull Town is often a very busy landing area, as it’s the closest King’s Canyon has to a ‘city’ like urban environment. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the best place to land though, as you will often end up fighting before you are fully kitted up with your weapons of choice, shields and healing. Here’s our guide for the best (and worst) places to land in Apex Legends. But, if you want to get into the action right away, there’s no better place than Skull Town.

  • Pathfinder dethrones Wraith as most popular Apex Legends character after buff – Dexerto

Pathfinder dethrones Wraith as most popular Apex Legends character after buff Electronic ArtsFollowing a recent character buff, Pathfinder has finally overthrown Wraith as the most popular Apex Legends hero. Pick rate data has often shown that Wraith counts as the most-played Apex Legends character. Earlier this year, the Skirmisher slipped out of the top spot but quickly regained footing following the launch of Season 16. The change placed Pathfinder in second place, with Octane dropping down to third. This isn’t an uncommon occurrence, of course. Pick rates change quite regularly throughout each season, as Respawn deploys buffs and nerfs to various characters. Since the Apex Legends Status site that charts such information collects data from 17-plus million users, the database doesn’t offer a complete picture of the player base. However, it provides a large enough sample to track general in-game trends. The latest trend is moving in Pathfinder’s favor. Pathfinder is now Apex Legends’ most popular character Based on the Apex Legends Status database, Pathfinder has officially dethroned Wraith in terms of pick rates. Pathfinder has a pick rate of 12.1 percent at the time of writing; meanwhile, Wraith is tied with Octane at 10.5 percent. Bangalore and Bloodhound round out the top five with pick rates of 7.9 and 6.9 percent, respectively. Notably, Pathfinder’s climb to the number one spot can likely be attributed to substantial buffs in Season 16. For example, the Legend’s zipline now enjoys greater range and speed, once more securing Pathfinder’s place as the most impressive mobility character. Because of the nature of Apex Legends, Pathfinder as the game’s most popular hero could change at any given moment. For now, though, the optimistic robot gets to enjoy the crown previously worn by Wraith. It’ll be interesting to see how long such a status quo lasts, especially since Wraith and Octane sit so close in the race between Apex’s second and third most-picked heroes.

  • Apex Legends’ most-hated hacker is back and ruining streamer’s games again – Dexerto

Apex Legends’ most-hated hacker is back and ruining streamer’s games again Respawn EntertainmentAfter disappearing for a few months, infamous Apex Legends hacker Tufi has returned and has begun terrorizing streamers in their matches. As with most multiplayer shooters, Apex Legends suffers from its fair share of hackers and DDoSers, particularly at the top-tier ranks of play where the stakes are highest. For most cheaters, the aim is to use their unfair advantage to gain RP and climb the Ranked ladder, so it’s within their interest to remain anonymous. However, for the well-known hacker Tufi, terrorizing popular Apex personalities has always been their priority, and it’s garnered them an infamous reputation. Having not been spotted in-game for months, a lot of players assumed Tufi had quit, but a recent clip from a Ranked game may suggest otherwise. Infamous Apex Legends hacker Tufi returns While approaching the end of a Ranked game on December 24, Reddit user Zalrien ran into a hacker and was quickly taken down and eliminated from the match. After dying, they decided to spectate the cheater who seemed to be following around a specific player who had their Twitch displayed in their name. So, Zalarien visited the stream and asked the player why they were teaming up with a hacker. They responded saying that the cheater had been stream sniping them nonstop, and any attempts to report or ban them were not successful. Zalarien even revealed that the hacker is “going by the name Tufi,” but he does note that it’s possible that the hacker is a copycat and not the real cheater. Although it’s possible the hacker in the clip is simply imitating Tufi, this isn’t the first time they’ve been spotted terrorizing streamers recently. A player with a similar name has made appearances on Imperialhal and Aceu’s streams, so the evidence is mounting up. However, without direct confirmation from the cheater themselves, it’s always going to be hard to confirm their identity when they’re constantly switching accounts.

  • Hilarious Apex Legends montage perfectly sums up Season 2 so far – Dexerto

Hilarious Apex Legends montage perfectly sums up Season 2 so far Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have been flooding Respawn Entertainment’s servers since the launch of Season 2 on July 2, and one fan has captured all of the hysterical tropes and frustrations that so far summarize the game’s latest chapter. While players have been loving their time in King’s Canyon, there’s been a fair share of problems that have ruined a match or two for players of the game. Similarly, there’s been a ton of players queueing up with new legend Wattson which has been causing mayhem as the fan base still adjust to her suffocating ability kit, especially with her Perimeter Security. Apex Legends memes almost everyone can relate to In his latest video, YouTuber ‘Retro-Spect’ put together a special project together called “How Apex Season 2 Feels.EXE” which is resonating with a lot of players that have found themselves on the wrong side of the game’s latest trends. Players will definitely find something to relate to as one of the opening scenes shows a team jumping into the Apex Arena just to immediately veer into the Leviathans who have made their presence felt since Battle Charge debuted. The new L-Star rifle has been an exciting addition to the game, but it’s short time in Apex Legends has already showed just how OP the gun is. The video highlights that fact with a bunch of clips showing the L-Star ripping up the competition, though players might react differently to that part depending on which side of the rifle they find themselves more. Arch Stars are typically a huge component of players’ inventory, but Season 2 has definitely seen a spike in use for the utility item. Apex Legends players have been upping the ante on each other with impressive Arch Star throws to pull off incredible plays. Then, Retro-Spect put the spotlight on one of the most infuriating trends seen in the game with a series of instances of players experiencing the dreaded ‘Code:leaf’ error that abruptly takes them out of a match. The YouTuber covered a range of themes throughout Apex Legends that covers the spectrum of unfortunate events that have been taking place since the new season came out.

  • Apex Legends Monsters Within event: Start date, trailer, skins, new map – Dexerto

Apex Legends Monsters Within event: Start date, trailer, skins, new map Respawn EntertainmentJust in time for the Halloween season, Apex Legends is dropping a new thematic event: Monsters Within. This new event will include lots of cosmetic with a spooky flair, and a prize tracker to grind through until the end of the season. Previous Halloween’s in Apex have been marked by the Fight or Fright events, which have include the Shadow Royale LTM. This year though, Respawn is adding to the mix with the Monsters Within event. As the trailer shows, this event has some incredible-looking Legendary skins for Legends including Bloodhound, Seer, Caustic and Revenant, as well as lots of weapon skins, holosprays, and other cosmetics. The Monsters Within event will run from October 12 to November 2, when Apex Legends Season 11 will start. Special limited packs in Apex Legends In this event, there will be Monsters Within packs, but the cosmetics will also be available in standard Apex packs, even after the event is over. But, the event packs guarantee one non-duplicate item from the event. Respawn also says, “Monsters Within items can always be crafted with crafting metals. After two seasons, crafting metal costs of Monsters Within Items may be reduced.” Monsters Within Prize Tracker As with previous events, a prize tracker will reward you for playing and earning points throughout the event. The prize tracker will rotate each week, with rewards including Apex packs, gun charms, epic skins, and holosprays. New Arenas Map: Encore This event also adds a brand new Arenas map, called Enore. Set in Seer’s homeland, this is a neon-soaked battleground, fitting for Seer’s style. Shadow Royale LTM It wouldn’t be a Halloween Apex Legends event without a Shadow Royale LTM comeback though, and Respawn isn’t going to disappoint. For the last week of the event, the fan-favorite LTM will be back. By the time the event is finished, it will be almost time to jump into the eleventh season of Apex Legends, expected to start on November 2, barring any delays.

  • Apex Legends dev says players angry with monetization should protest “with their wallets” – Dexerto

Apex Legends dev says players angry with monetization should protest “with their wallets” Electronic ArtsAn Apex Legends developer recently addressed monetization concerns and suggested that players start protesting with their wallets. Free-to-play games must walk a fine line between sustaining the model and providing value to those who invest money in the experience. Even the best F2P titles occasionally falter on this front, and Apex Legends is no exception. Since 2019, Apex Legends events and recolor releases have caused fury due to the cost of certain microtransactions. This criticism continues to plague the shooter, but developers argue that players have a say in deciding what does and doesn’t work. Sometimes, however, verbal protests simply don’t get the point across. Apex Legends devs address ongoing monetization concerns In an interview with Dexerto, Game Director Steven Ferreira and Senior Design Director Evan Nikolich spoke about the criticism leveled against Apex Legends’ in-game purchases. The pair specifically tackled complaints about recolors and collection events, some of which spawned following a Season 15 collection event rewarding players with a recolor instead of the usual heirloom or mythic skin. According to the lead developers, the team has heard these objections “loud and clear.” But social media feedback isn’t enough, Nikolich added. The designer noted, “we want people to feel good about the money they spend, to feel good to get something new, not cheap.” As such, he thinks players should express their concerns verbally and by voting “with your wallets – don’t spend money if you don’t want the item.” Nikolich’s comment suggests Respawn, like countless other companies, pays close attention to purchasing data when deciding on content releases. Still, it’s a good reminder that buying items you aren’t interested in constitutes a prime example of sending the wrong message.

  • Apex Legends in-game model shows major issue with Pathfinder’s hitbox – Dexerto

Apex Legends in-game model shows major issue with Pathfinder’s hitbox Pathfinder is one of the more popular Legends in Apex Legends, but one players has found a frustrating issue with how its hitbox performs in-game. Hitboxes are areas on a character’s body that register damage from bullet fire and explosives, and one of the earliest issues in Apex Legends when it was first released was the inconsistency with how the hitboxes worked in-game. While Respawn have certainly put in a lot of effort in resolving these discrepancies, it appears that the Pathfinder’s hitbox has come under scrutiny once again. Player discovers Pathfinder hitbox issue On April 18, a Reddit user posted about an experiment he had performed in Apex Legends to test out which areas of the Pathfinder’s body was considered part of its official hitbox. What the player discovered was that there were large gaps between the Pathfinder’s hitbox and its actual body shape as it appears in-game, especially when more elaborate and higher end skins are equipped. The image below shows that the hitbox-to-body ratio of the Twitch Prime skin on the right is considerably off, as a lot of the Pathfinder’s body is actually not considered part of its hitbox. Even the skin on the left, which has a more reasonable ratio, still has parts of it that will not inflict damage upon the Legend if they get hit by bullet fire or explosives. Why are the hitboxes like this? While one can never be too sure as to the reasoning behind this system, it would seem that Respawn have coded Pathfinder’s hitboxes like this to keep it consistent to its default body shape. As a result, any skin equipped the enlarges the body ends up creating a lot more surface area that does not count towards the hitbox, and therefore cannot be fired at to cause damage. Why is this an issue? At first glance, the reasoning for this kind of hitbox structure makes sense, as Respawn probably did not want to punish players for equipping skins that had larger body shapes. However, this leads to a major issue for players who have to face Pathfinders during the course of a match, and gunfights can end up becoming very confusing since players will not get damage feedback for firing at large portions of the Legend’s body. What’s worse is that the Digital Threat sight will flash the entire body red, but bullets fired at certain areas of the character will simply pass through. All of this can cause players to feel as if they’ve been cheated by the game and that their bullets are simply not registering despite being fired clearly at a parts of the body.

  • Apex Legends modders make improved firing range with unlimited ammo & aim training – Dexerto

Apex Legends modders make improved firing range with unlimited ammo & aim training Respawn EntertainmentA set of modders have created an improved Apex Legends Firing Range fit with unlimited ammo and a moving aim training feature. Season 10 of Apex Legends has arrived and players are enjoying the variety of new content that Respawn added with the major update. Whether it’s the brand new Legend Seer or the absolutely lethal Rampage LMG, the devs certainly knocked it out of the park with Emergence. Despite how well received the update has been, there are elements of the game that players think need to be improved in upcoming seasons. One of which is the Firing Range that hasn’t received much attention from Respawn and lacks a lot of practice features compared to other FPSs. In order to fix this, a set of talented modders have got together to create a new and improved Apex Firing Range, featuring unlimited ammo and even an aim trainer. Apex Legends modders create new and improved Firing Range While the Firing Range in Apex Legends is great for testing out Legend abilities, a lot of players feel it’s lacking when it comes to practicing with weapons. Well, a modder wanted to fix that and decided to create an improved version of the Firing Range for themselves. One of the primary improvements of the build is unlimited ammo, a feature the modder says should already be in Apex by default. This means there’s no need to run back and forth picking up ammo, it automatically restores, allowing you to focus solely on your aim. It’s worth noting that the mod is based on a Season 3 build of Apex Legends, that’s why some of the ammo types look a bit strange on certain guns. Firing Range Weapons + Attachments logic remake from scratch. I don’t think we’ll add ammo on the floor, instead it’ll just be infinite.. they should have done it like that on retail NGL. pic.twitter.com/1Qei0Utznr — ZooL (@ZooL_Smith) August 18, 2021 Not settling for just small improvements, the modder also added an aim training feature that can be found in a lot of other FPS games, This allows Apex players to practice snapping to moving targets, rather than just have stationary dummies to fire at. A feature like this in the main game would make it significantly easier for players to improve at the fundamentals, as battle royales can be incredibly punishing for new players. These are exactly the kind of improvements the Apex community is desperate for Respawn to add to the Firing Range. However, as a dedicated update to the practice arena wouldn’t be the most exciting addition to the game, it doesn’t appear to be at the top of the devs list. Fingers crossed Respawn takes some inspiration from the mod and potentially adds their own spin to an aim training feature. While an overhaul to the Firing Range wouldn’t be the most eye-catching update in the game’s history, it would give passionate players a location to hone their skills.

  • Apex Legends modders create awesome Deathmatch mode & new abilities – Dexerto

Apex Legends modders create awesome Deathmatch mode & new abilities Respawn/EAA group of Apex Legends modders have banded together to create a Team Deathmatch mode as well as brand-new abilities, and it looks pretty awesome. When Apex Legends first launched in February of 2019, it only came with its main battle royale mode. You dropped in as trios, looking to be the last team standing. That BR mode remains the game’s bread and butter, but, Respawn Entertainment have come with some unique spin-offs as well with Arenas and Hunts. It’s been long rumored that they have other plans up the sleeve too, including a Call of Duty Domination-like mode, but fans ultimately want more. Well, one group of modders have come together to create a Team Deathmatch mode in the Outlands, using a range of different maps – including the popular nighttime Kings Canyon and a custom World’s Edge after dark setting. Part of the mod was first revealed in mid-August, with players showing off the darkness-filled version of Train Yard as their setting. As the game starts, players are welcomed to the Team Deathmatch mode but there are also a few surprises. Notably, the Wraith that is being used in the demo doesn’t use portals. She, instead, blinks in the direction that the player is looking, allowing her to travel a pretty decent distance in an instant. Now, this isn’t just an experiment to show off what’s possible either, it will be fully playable. Though, as it is a mod, it’ll only be available for PC players. The TDM mode can be played as a one-on-one, duos, trios, quads, or even 20-man teams. However, you can’t bring over your skins and cosmetics to the mods. https://twitter.com/kralrindo/status/1426255181365358593 As impressive as the mod is, it is unofficial, so don’t get your hopes of seeing any of the changes in the actual version Apex anytime soon. Though, it does go to show just how cool it would be if Respawn brought TDM to the game.

  • Apex Legends modders are now making ridiculous weapons and abilities – Dexerto

Apex Legends modders are now making ridiculous weapons and abilities Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends mods have been becoming increasingly popular, and as players experiment more and more with code, they are designing some truly wacky weapons, abilities and more. While most Apex players are lapping up the rest of Season 10, a group of technically gifted PC players are trying out some outlandish experiments on private (unofficial) servers. The unofficial Apex Legends client “R5Reloaded” is making waves within the PC community. Created by fans-for-fans, the free moddable Apex Legends client boasts elements such as custom lobbies, stronger stims and comically long grapples. Apex Legends mod client is awesome Fans of Titanfall were initially impressed with R5Reloaded’s potential, as mechanics like wall-running have been showcased through modding. Yet, the scale of this custom Apex experience goes far beyond simple traversal upgrades. R5Reloaded’s potential extends to outlandish weapon ballistics, running with super-speed and ambitious amounts of lifeline packages. Taking a page from the DOOM Eternal book of badassery, one notable experiment comes in the form of an explosive Spitfire. Dealing out a constant assault of exploding epic-ness, we can already feel the tears of defeated foes emerging. Want to channel your inner Spider-Man? No problem, as R5Loaded encourages players to live out their superhero fantasies with an infinite grapple. The modding community has seen more official recognition in recent years. Bethesda notably implemented a mod browser into later editions of The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. Seen as a way to add longevity to the game’s lifespan, the rise of community-led content has appeared in more titles. Skater XL and Halo: The Master Chief Collection have seen fan additions allowed into the game. Could Respawn Entertainment be so inclined to follow suit? With Apex Legends popularity reaching stratospheric levels as high-profile streamers leap over from Warzone, the notion of official mods is definitely exciting. H/T: PC Gamer

  • Apex Legends modder creates revive shield Lifeline mains have been dying for – Dexerto

Apex Legends modder creates revive shield Lifeline mains have been dying for KralRindo | Twitter/Respawn EntertainmentLifeline has been out of the meta since her revive shield was removed, but an Apex Legends modder has shown us what a balanced yet upgraded passive could look like. The last few seasons have been rough for Lifeline mains. Since the removal of the shield on her revive passive, this legend has certainly fallen out of favor. Her Season 14 pick rate still leaves her at the number 10 spot in Apex, but having a 4.2% pick rate is a far cry from what she pulled off in early seasons. Not to mention, her pro play pick rate is almost zero. However, an Apex Legends modder has shown us what a more balanced iteration of her long lost revive shield could look like. Lifeline mains want their revive shield back After the Season 9 Lifeline nerfs that removed her revive shield, longtime Lifeline mains have been begging to get her old passive back. Despite numerous buffs to her ultimate, heal drone, and revive passive, the removal of Lifeline’s main outplay mechanic has left many disappointed. That said, there’s a reason this mechanic got removed. One of the most upvoted posts of all time on the Apex Legends subreddit shows Lifeline using her shield to pull out 1v3s, and this is from before Lifeline’s drone automatically revived teammates while putting up an unbreakable defense. She was really strong, but that doesn’t mean this mechanic couldn’t be balanced. Twitter user and Lifeline main KralRindo posted some modded Apex Legends footage of what a more balanced Lifeline passive could look like. Rather than having unlimited health, this proposed shield would have 300 HP. Mad Maggie’s ultimate would instantly destroy this shield, and 300 health wouldn’t hold up long in a firefight. However, considering that Newcastle’s Tactical is essentially Lifeline’s shield but better, it may be difficult to justify giving Lifeline back a justifiably removed aspect of her old kit. The very same Twitter user that posted the modded footage also poked fun at Newcastle essentially “stealing” her old passive. Lifeline mains have been asking for some sort of shield for this character since the S9 nerf, with Apex Legends modder Archtux showing what this shield would look like if it was on her Tactical instead of her passive. While it’s a shame that Lifeline isn’t at the top of the pick rate charts like she used to be, keeping her iconic revive shield out of the game may be for the best.

The latest fan-made wonder combines Octane’s jump pad and the BR’s frag grenades with some hilarious results. Modding has become a massive part of gaming culture, and the practice has spread to nearly every title released in the past decade, if not longer. It might’ve taken a while, but a flourishing Apex Legends modding community has formed during the game’s latest Season, Emergence. These modders have created plenty of interesting, if not always practical twists on the content in Apex, ranging from an updated firing range, to explosive Spitfire ammunition, and some have even ported over classic Titanfall 2 weapons into its battle royale cousin. In another case of the community’s creativity, one Apex Legends modder by the name of ‘Mokey‘ shared his latest creation with fans on Twitter: a combination of Octane’s jump pad boost and the game’s frag grenades that results in a totally broken, but hilarious experience. In his Twitter post, Mokey shared a brief montage of the amazing aerial stunts players can pull off by using these unconventional grenades, and confirmed that “[I created] modded grenades that yeet you unreasonably far.” The compilation of clips included the player sending his in-game character soaring across Octane’s town takeover, and even shooting himself from Repulsor all the way over to Hydro Dam, traversing Kings Canyon in a truly unconventional way. From the looks of it, players might be able to launch themselves all the way from one end of the map to another — if they scooped up enough frag grenades along the way. Modded Grenades that yeet you unreasonably far.#ApexLegends pic.twitter.com/qpfzTWwqhw — Mokey (@mokeysniper) September 19, 2021 Mokey’s creation was a hit with the Apex community, and his post received plenty of positive feedback, including some calls for Respawn to implement his grenades into the full game. “Fuse’s town takeover LTM should [add] something like this,” one player joked. Another fan reminisced over a similar feature from Respawn’s previous game, Titanfall 2, where players could launch themselves across the game’s maps using a special piece of equipment. “[This] kinda reminds me of gravity star launching,” they remarked. Unfortunately for those fans, Mokey’s creation is only available on “R5Reloaded,” the unofficial Apex server where many modders do their work. While the incredible grenades probably won’t make it into the real Apex Legends, it’s always fun to see what these creative minds can come up with.

  • Apex Legends mod buffs Crypto’s drone with an autopilot mode – Dexerto

Apex Legends mod buffs Crypto’s drone with an autopilot mode Respawn EntertainmentIn an attempt to make Crypto a stronger pick, an Apex Legends mod has given his drone an autopilot mode that can automatically locate nearby enemies. Arriving on the roster all the way back in Season 3, Crypto has never been overwhelmingly popular among Apex Legends players and currently has a pick rate of 1.5%. Despite this, the Surveillance Expert does have a dedicated community of mains who are constantly suggesting ideas to help improve his kit. The main issue for Crypto has always been his stationary playstyle, with the drone forcing him to stay in one position and causing him to be late to gunfights. To solve this, a modder has created and showcased a potential solution that involves giving Crypto’s drone an AI autopilot mode. Apex Legends mod gives Crypto AI-controlled drone While a lot of players have suggested allowing Crypto to move while using his drone, Archtux has showcased another option and it involves making his flying device a lot smarter. Created on the R5Reloaded server, Archtux has given Crypto’s drone an AI autopilot mode, making it fly around the nearby area while the Surveillance Expert is on the move. Not only that, this allows the device to find enemies in the close vicinity and means Crypto doesn’t have to spend as long sitting stationary in drone view. Although this change would definitely expose the device to a lot more gunfire and may even give away Crypto’s position, a lot of players are convinced the positives outweigh the drawbacks: “This needs to come into the game, no questions asked.” Crypto buff concept: AI Drone👀 #Crypto #ApexLegends #R5R pic.twitter.com/vbrVwwHqSl — Archtux (@ArchtuxTV) December 15, 2021 It’s safe to say that an AI drone wouldn’t be an easy feature to program into Apex Legends may put Respawn off the idea, especially if the device will be required to locate nearby enemies. However, if the devs could pull it off, it may be the perfect solution to making Crypto more viable in the competitive meta.

  • Apex Legends mod adds weather effects like snow and storms to maps – Dexerto

Apex Legends mod adds weather effects like snow and storms to maps Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends modder has added dynamic weather effects and storms to World’s Edge, completely transforming the visual experience for players. Since the original Kings Canyon was released, Respawn has advanced its map design and included more dynamic features within the POIs in Apex Legends. Not only that, wildlife was even introduced with the Storm Point map in Season 11, bringing the island to life and adding an extra threat for players. Despite this, the devs are yet to experiment with weather conditions on any of their maps so far. So, one Apex modder decided to take it into their own hands and develop dynamic weather events for the World’s Edge map. These include snow, rain, and even storm effects that completely transform the visual experience, and show why Respawn should add weather events in the future. Apex Legends mod adds dynamic weather effects Created by Apex Legends modder and YouTuber Archtux on the R5Reloaded server, the talented player has added dynamic weather events to the World’s Edge map. As showcased in the video, this includes rain, snow, and storm effects that cause lightning to strike in random locations. They’ve even added puddles and damp effects to the ground that completely transform the look of the POI. While the thunder noises and wet effects may not suit players who want to focus strictly on winning a match, it’s ideal for those who want a more immersive experience. It’s impossible to know whether Respawn has experimented with weather or is planning to add it in the future, but it seems like the perfect addition for a map update. Even if it’s just a single POI, it would give players the opportunity to experience a location in a completely new light. Let’s hope the devs have seen Archtux’s concept and take some inspiration from the design, as it would definitely be an incredible addition.

  • Apex Legends mod adds infamous Smart Pistol from Titanfall – Dexerto

Apex Legends mod adds infamous Smart Pistol from Titanfall Respawn EntertainmentThe Smart Pistol is one of the most iconic and infamous weapons from the Titantfall series, but modders have now managed to put the aimbot gun into Apex Legends. Apex Legends is home to plenty of deadly weaponry that has been pulled from Respawn’s beloved Titantfall franchise. From the laser-like Volt SMG to the versatile R-301 Carbine, there are plenty of lethal weapons for players to choose from. However, one Titanfall gun that has yet to be introduced to Apex Legends is that of the Smart Pistol. This semi-automatic lock-on pistol first made its debut in the original Titantfall, where it quickly garnered infamy for its ability to snap onto nearby pilots. While the game’s punchy pistol certainly lacked the range and power of its beefier counterparts, many players enjoyed the gun’s unique playstyle. Apex Legends modder adds Smart Pistol to BR Apex Legends modders are certainly familiar with creating their own content for Respawn’s battle royale title. This is thanks to R5Reloaded, which is a non-official modded build of Apex Legends. This moddable client allows players to make custom lobbies, new weapons, and even add ridiculous abilities. However, YouTuber Skeptation has taken this a step further with their recreation of Titanfall’s infamous Smart Pistol. During the clip, Skeptation demonstrates just how lethal the Smart Pistol would be if it were to be added to Apex Legends. The player approaches a singular test dummy, then unleashes round after round of auto-targeted bullets. After quickly chewing through the target’s health, Skeptation proceeds to obliterate a group of test dummies in a matter of seconds. If that wasn’t bad enough, the modified RE-45 even comes packed with the dreaded Smart Pistol sound effect, which is enough to instantly raise the blood pressure of any Titantfall veteran. Despite recreating this infamous pistol, Skeptation stated that they “don’t ever want to see this in the real game” and hopes Respawn “don’t get any ideas”.

  • Apex Legends mod adds Fortnite-style building mechanic – Dexerto

Apex Legends mod adds Fortnite-style building mechanic Respawn EntertainmentTaking inspiration from another BR title, an Apex Legends mod has added Fortnite building mechanics to the R5Reloaded server. When it comes to building mechanics in FPS titles, there’s only one game that comes to mind and that’s Fortnite. With players making walls to block bullets and creating platforms high up in the sky, it’s not something you’d expect to fit into Apex Legends. Well, although Respawn is relatively limited in what new mechanics they can add to their game, modders are not, and that’s exactly why a few have banded together to add a building system into the title. Although it’s in its early stages at this point, players can already place down platforms as well as rotate them to create huge structures. Apex Legends modders add building system to create structures A set of Apex Legends modders on the R5Relaoded server have decided to create their very own in-game building system. Although the mechanic looks like Fortnite in its early stages, the creators plan on adding over 1300 assets. In its current state as shown by YouTuber Skepation, it is only possible to add dummies and place down Fortnite-style platforms. While this means basic structures can be made and used to block off enemies, it’s clear they’re aiming to create a building system similar to Halo Forge in the future. Although it’s nowhere near finished, it’d be interesting to jump into R5Reloaded and have a match while being able to build walls in combat. It likely wouldn’t make for a balanced and fair experienced, but it’d certainly be entertaining to watch. Whether it’s speeding up the World’s Edge train, adding the Smart Pistol to the game, or making the Kraber fully automatic, the R5Reloaded server allows modders to experiment and test out loads of incredible mechanics. This building system is just another feature to add to the list and it’ll be interesting to keep track of it and see how it evolves over time. Who knows, players may even be able to create their very own custom maps in the future.

  • Apex Legends mod adds CSGO surfing with custom map – Dexerto

Apex Legends mod adds CSGO surfing with custom map Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ in-game movement system is incredibly satisfying, but this CSGO-style mod brings surfing to Respawn’s battle royale. Thanks to R5Reloaded, Apex Legends players have been creating a variety of whacky and interesting mods. This custom Apex Legends client allows players to make custom game modes, create new weapons, and even add entirely new abilities. From Fortnite-style building mechanics to Titanfall’s infamous Smart Pistol, there is a seemingly never-ending slew of mods. However, the latest mod that is getting a lot of interest over on the Apex Legend Reddit page is a mod that brings CSGO surfing to the game. This fast-paced mode enables players to travel around the map at high speeds, demonstrating just how fun this fan-made minigame can be. CSGO surfing added to Apex Legends In order to surf in CSGO, players must first adjust the acceleration and gravity of the game. Once the rules and appropriate changes have been made, players can travel around custom maps at high speeds. Not only do players compete for the best times, but they also ramp up the difficulty by creating new courses. As both Apex Legends and CSGO use the Source engine, modders can use techniques available in both games. Bunny hopping and strafe jumping are just two examples of this crossover. Because of these shared features, popular custom game modes like CSGO’s surfing levels can be recreated in Apex. Renowned modder Skeptation demonstrated this by creating their very own Apex Legends surfing map. During the video, the player can be seen gliding through the course at breakneck speed. The angle of the ramps ensures that Octane is constantly moving, while the gravity has been adjusted to make jumping between each structure possible. Skeptation uses Octane to effortlessly run through the course, passing by floating test dummies at incredible speed before leaping through various obstacles. While surfing may not be new to CSGO’s playerbase, it will be interesting to see what courses are made in Apex Legends.

  • Apex Legends mod adds classic Titanfall weapons into the Battle Royale – Dexerto

Apex Legends mod adds classic Titanfall weapons into the Battle Royale Respawn EntertainmentA dataminer has shown off a set of classic Titanfall weapons inside Apex Legends, including the Sidewinder, Archer, and Smart Pistol. After the well-recieved addition of the Rampage LMG in Season 10 of Apex Legends, there’s always more room for new weapons. And, since Apex has its roots in Titanfall, there are already lots of Titanfall-inspired guns in the BR. Of course, the devs are limited in some senses as a number of Titanfall’s guns simply wouldn’t be balanced in a battle royale setting. However, the only way to find out is for players to test them out in-game for themselves, which is now possible using a fanmade mod. Although some of the textures and graphics look a bit strange in places, it gives fans a great indication of how a Titanfall weapon would function in the Apex Games. Dataminer shows off iconic Titanfall weapons in Apex Legends Dataminer and Apex Legends YouTuber Garretleaks has showcased a set of iconic Titanfall weapons in Apex Legends. While there’s certainly no guarantee these guns will ever be added to the game, the video offers a good indication of how they would perform and interact in a battle royale setting. Garret started off with the Archer, an anti-titan missile launcher that locks onto targets and deals huge damage. While extremely slow to fire, in Apex it would offer huge area of effect damage and down any enemies from full health with a direct hit. Next, he tests out the Sidewinder, another weapon that was solely designed to take out titans in Titanfall. With the ability to shoot mini-rockets that deal splash damage, this would definitely be an interesting addition to Apex’s arsenal of weapons. Finally, Garret shows off everyone’s favorite weapon from the Titanfall series, the Smart Pistol. With the ability to lock onto enemies at will, this would no doubt frustrate a lot of the Apex community if it ever made it into the BR. Keep in mind, in the video he uses the P2020 model for the smart pistol as there are no assets in the files that allow Garret to display the weapon’s original appearance. It’s unlikely that any of these weapons will ever make it into Apex Legends, but as they’re still in the game files, there’s always the option if Respawn thinks they’ll fit well into the meta. There’s no denying that it would be incredibly fun to strafe with the Smart Pistol and not even have to aim to hit your shots, but it probably wouldn’t go down well with the player on the receiving end. Despite this, there are a host more Titanfall weapons Respawn could turn to in the future, let’s just hope it’s not one that can auto-lock onto targets.

  • Apex Legends Mobile will be getting exclusive new Legends first – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile will be getting exclusive new Legends first Respawn EntertainmentWith the Apex Legends Mobile release date on the horizon, Respawn Entertainment has confirmed the mobile port will be getting exclusive content first, including some new Legends. Just a little over three years since the popular battle-royale’s release in February 2019, the closed beta for the Apex Legends Mobile port is well underway, and fans are more than excited to be able on their pocket devices. Over 7.5 million eager players have registered for the closed beta access so far, and while it’s totally separate from the Apex Legends that fans know and love, the handheld version will feature most of the same content. However, Apex Legends Mobile players will be able to get their hands on exclusive Legends first before they enter the regular game. In an EA blog post released on March 17, a lot of questions were answered about Apex Legends Mobile. Though, one section stood out which confirmed that it will have its own exclusive mobile-first Legends. “Choose from a growing cast of beloved Legends with unique abilities and personalities to fit an array of playstyles – and discover new mobile-first Legends with new stories to tell.” https://twitter.com/PlayApexMobile/status/1504472637791260672?s=20&t=93nDF1wcFq-ewoDk2Xx7qg The blog post also mentioned that other mobile-first adaptions and innovations will be added, that will keep the game fresh and new. It reads: “New Legends, maps, gameplay, modes, progressions, and live events constantly expand the gameplay variety to keep the experience fresh and new every season.” From March 17, players can register their interest in Apex Legends Mobile on the Google Play store or iOS App Store. With that said, pre-registering doesn’t guarantee you a spot in the beta. Unfortunately, the mobile version won’t feature cross-play unlike other games like Fortnite, but the game is completely free to play if you get the chance.

  • Apex Legends Mobile shutting down in “painful” decision – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile shutting down in “painful” decision Apex Legends/ DexertoRespawn Entertainment has announced that Apex Legends Mobile is shutting down on May 1, 2023, after launching in early 2022. The developer put out a statement about the decision on January 31, 2023, calling it “painful.” The company said that players will not get refunds for in-game purchases on the mobile platform and that the decision will not impact the console or PC versions of the Battle Royale game. In-app purchases have been disabled for the game and it has been removed from game stores. Respawn explains why Apex Legends Mobile is shutting down The developer further explained that the content for Apex Legends Mobile was not up to their standards in terms of quality and quantity, which led to the company discontinuing the title. Apex Legends Mobile launched on May 22, 2023, and saw decent success, making $7 million in revenue in its first month available, according to mobilegamer.biz. But, the mobile port of the popular game declined in revenue as time went on, bringing in $3.5 million in December, according to the report. The game grossed about $40 million in total before Respawn announced its shuttering. The developer announced on January 5 that the fourth season was delayed due to bugs and other issues. The third season, Underworld, began in November. The mobile title won the game of the year award from Apple and Google in 202 Unable to meet the demand for new content, and the upkeep of a third port, Respawn seems to have closed the book on the mobile game. Respawn said in their statement that the company may return to the mobile platform in the future. “Respawn and the Apex Legends team remain excited about mobile as a platform and look forward to new opportunities to serve players there in the future,” the statement said.

  • Apex Legends Mobile set to get Solos mode before PC and Console – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile set to get Solos mode before PC and Console Respawn EntertainmentA recent leak has revealed that Apex Legends Mobile is set to receive Solos before PC and console, despite demands for the mode since the game’s release. Since the release of Apex Legends on PC and console all the way back in 2019, the community has been asking Respawn to implement Solos alongside the current Duos and Trios format. However, in response, the devs have made it very clear that this is not an option, as the majority of Legends in the game have abilities that rely on having teammates. Despite this, some players still think the positives would outweigh the negatives for Solos on PC and console, offering a better experience for those who prefer to play Apex on their own. Well, a leak for Apex Mobile has reignited the debate as it appears the handheld version of the game may be receiving a Solos mode in the near future. Leak suggests Solos is coming to Apex Legends Mobile Courtesy of reliable Apex Mobile leaker ThatOneGamingBot, a set of icons has been revealed that suggest the handheld version of Apex will be receiving a Solos mode. While it’s possible this is just going to be an LTM for a special event, it could also be a permanent mode as it’s listed next to the Duos and Trios icons. As expected, this news has left a lot of PC and console players frustrated and confused over why the devs would add Solos to Mobile before the original title, with one commenting: “Kinda sad how mobile structure slaps 100x better than the original”. Others believe that the devs are using Mobile to test new content for PC and console, but Solos has already been tested in the original game with an LTM back in August of 2019, so this is extremely unlikely. Solos/Duos icons#apexlegendsmobile pic.twitter.com/k4BGMNhtxh — TheLeakerBot (@theleakerbot) June 29, 2022 With the extra abilities and perks for Legends and now the potential for Solos in Apex Mobile, it’s clear Respawn is treating this version of the game as a completely separate entity from PC and console. While this does give the community two exciting ways to battle in the Outlands, it of course leads to comparisons between both games, and frustration when one version gets a feature the other has been demanding for a long time. Although some Apex players will be holding out hope for Solos on PC and console, at least the option to play it on Mobile may be there in the near future.

  • Apex Legends Mobile Season 3 update patch notes: Ash, buffs & nerfs, map changes – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile Season 3 update patch notes: Ash, buffs & nerfs, map changes Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Mobile Season 3 is here, bringing Ash to the battle royale alongside various buffs, nerfs, and map updates. Here, we have the full patch notes. Apex Legends Mobile has received steady updates since its launch on May 17, 2022, with many fans comparing it favorably to the main game. While Season 2 introduced the Mobile-exclusive Legend Rhapsody to the battle royale, Season 3 is set to bring back a familiar face: the simulacrum Ash. Additionally, Season 3’s update is bringing a brand new upgradeable melee weapon for Fade, brand new events, map updates, and much more on October 19, 2022. What’s changing in Apex Legends Mobile Season 3? Ash arrives Arguably the biggest change coming in Season 3 is the introduction of Ash. While Ash has been a part of the main version of Apex Legends since Season 11, she’s brand new to Apex Legends Mobile. While her Passive, Tactical, and Ultimate abilities are the same as the main game, Ash has brand new Legend Perks exclusive to Mobile. Ash’s Perks enhance various aspects of her kit. For example, “Spoils of War” and “Enhanced Hunting” buff her Passive ability to gather info from Death Boxes, while perks like “Instigator’s Precision” and “Enduring Trap” buff her Tactical Arc Snare. Legend buffs and nerfs This update is also bringing various Legend buffs and nerfs. Bloodhound received shortened start-up animations to their Tactical and Ultimate while Caustic received buffs to his Nox Gas Damage, Tactical Trap deployment time, and Ultimate cooldown. Finally, Fade’s Tactical ability’s cooldown was increased from 20 seconds to 25, as “Fade players face little to no consequences for bad engagements” according to Respawn. Map changes As for map changes, Season 3’s map rotation will be updated. Notably, World’s Edge and Kings Canyon will not actively rotate every hour in both Normal and Ranked Battle Royale modes. Kings Canyon is also getting a new Town Takeover event called Coliseum, which can be found floating about the Shattered Forest. According to Respawn, “While in the Coliseum, activate the control panel to initiate a duel, notifying the whole lobby that you are accepting all challengers. The more kills you accrue while in the Coliseum, the better the loot.” The full patch notes also detail various bug fixes, the new Battle Pass, and a special upgradeable melee weapon for Fade. Apex Legends Mobile Season 3 update: Full patch notes Champions goes live on October 19th (0:00 UTC). Champions, let’s just jump into it! NEW LEGEND: ASH Born in the unforgiving Frontier, Dr. Ashleigh Reid – still very much a human – learned early that the only person who was going to look out for her was herself. One day, she was hired by a mercenary group for a delicate job: steal an experimental fuel source being researched in the Outlands city of Olympus. It was the perfect job for Reid, who infiltrated and psychologically manipulated the researchers for years. When the lab self-destructed, she died. And didn’t. Her brain was put in a simulacrum shell, but in the process, she lost years of memories, and the trauma of her “death” caused her personality to fracture. Ash is the embodiment of the cold, perfectionistic, power-hungry side of Dr. Reid. But behind that confident facade, something sinister is simmering. After an encounter with Horizon that overrides Ash’s simulacrum programming, the framework that kept the vulnerable–yet intelligent–Leigh personality dormant has begun to crack. Ash joins the Games to prove she has transcended all humanity. Leigh’s determined to prove her wrong. Passive: Marked For Death Ash’s map shows the location of recent deathboxes and marks surviving attackers. Tactical: Arc Snare Throw a spinning snare that damages and tethers the first enemy that gets too close. Ultimate: Phase Breach Tear open a one-way portal to a targeted location. Legend Perks: Spoils of War – Death box icons appear on the map and as the color of the highest tier loot inside. Enhanced Hunting – After 3 death box extractions, your Data Knife reveals more information. After 6, periodically see the killer’s team on your map. Red-Handed Reveal – The first time an enemy uses a scanned death box, their location will be pinged. Instigator’s Precision – You can adjust the throw trajectory of Arc Snare, but the throw speed is reduced. Enduring Trap – Arc Snare persists after being thrown but can be destroyed. Shadow Step – Phase Breach can be reactivated within 7 seconds of its first use, but the ability’s distance is halved. Battle Adaptation – Using your Finisher adds 100 points to your EVO Shield. Deadly Momentum – Using your Finisher reduces your Ultimate’s cooldown by 30%. Mag Subscription – Using your Finisher refills the ammo of your active weapon and increases reloading speed for 8s. Upon further review of player data, it was determined that with the current cooldown of his Tactical Ability, Fade players face little to no consequences for bad engagements. The goal of increasing the cooldown time is to not only make players think more critically about using this part of Fade’s kit but also allow for enemy teams to better capitalize on a bad engagement. • Apex Legends Mobile Season 2 Distortion patch notes: Rhapsody, King’s Canyon, more – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile Season 2 Distortion patch notes: Rhapsody, King’s Canyon, more Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment released the patch notes for Apex Legends Mobile’s Season 2 Distortion content, including Rhadsody’s ability list, the introduction of King’s Canyon, and much more. Apex Legends Mobile proved to be quite successful since it launched on May 17, 2022, with many players surprised at just how robust the mobile title is. Now, with Apex Legends Mobile’s Season 2 content on the horizon following Loba’s Cold Snap Town Takeover event, fans are excited for all the new content on the way. Respawn Entertainment has now released the Season 2 Distortion patch notes ahead of the July 12 update, which details the new Legend Rhapsody’s ability list, the introduction of King’s Canyon, the new map Pythas Block 0, and much more. Apex Legends Season 2 patch notes The first thing the patch notes cover is the new Legend Rhapsody, who’s a DJ and music-lover who previously worked for Pythas Inc. Rhapsody looks to be a new Support hero, with her Passive ability making her able to locate enemies at range with sound visualizers. Additionally, Rhapsody’s tactical ability gives a speed boost to nearby squadmates and recharges their shields as well. Next, we see that Apex Legends’ iconic King’s Canyon map is finally making its debut in Apex Legends Mobile as the next battle royale map. However, the new Pythas Block 0 is a Team Deathmatch map, which incorporates flashy purple neon lights in a high-tech metropolitan city. Take a look at the complete Apex Legends patch notes below to see everything coming in the Season 2 Distortion update, courtesy of Respawn. INTRO Greetings Legends and welcome to a brand new Apex Legends Mobile season: Distortion. We’ve got a lot to cover, including a new legend, game modes and much more so let’s jump into it! NEW LEGEND: Rhapsody The best way to understand Rhapsody, is through her music. The droning pulse speaks of her childhood in Kómma where the tech giant Pythas Inc. controls all. The steady rhythm reflects her supportive mother, a brilliant AI engineer. And the booming bass resembles Rowdy, the robot companion her mother created to amplify her daughter’s voice. Life was good, but good times in Kómma never last long. When her mother was fired from Pythas Inc. for discovering company secrets, her family was buried in false debt and forced into the dangerous nightlife district: Neon Dunes. There, Rhapsody honed her art. The unrest around her inspired groundbreaking music with a rebellious heart, capturing the passion of its people. Rhapsody’s reputation grew, earning her an invitation to perform on the wealthy side of town. She seized this opportunity not as a chance to advance her career but as a ploy to install a virus designed by her mother to wipe out the family’s debt. However, the virus proved too powerful; it corrupted the entire district’s finances. To avoid Pythas’s wrath, Rhapsody signed an agreement with them to join the Apex Games under their banner. But that’s just her cover. Rhapsody plans on topping the Apex charts until she’s earned enough to buy her way out of this “sponsorship deal” and win her family’s life back. Passive: Gifted Ear You pick up and visualize sounds from an extended range Tactical: Hype Anthem Play a powerful track that speeds up nearby squadmates and recharges shields. Taking damage will end the effect. Ultimate Ability: Rowdy’s Rave Rowdy projects a wall of flashing lights that blocks incoming sight and scans. LEGEND PROGRESSION PERKS Volume Control – Squadmates affected by your Tactical temporarily gain Gifted Ear. – Sound Bleed -Occasionally see nearby 3D sound visualizations effects through walls. – Tuned In – Continuous running increases the range of Gifted Ear. – Reverb – The more squadmates your Tactical affects, the longer it lasts. – Harmony – Your Tactical increases the speed of revives and the effect of healing items. – Rowdy’s Rhythm – During your ultimate, squadmates standing near Rowdy reload faster. – NEW MAPS King’s Canyon The King is back Legends—the map that started it all for the Apex Games is now in Apex Legends Mobile. To celebrate the launch of Kings Canyon, Rhapsody placed some VIP Tickets for her next concert on the map. Are you lucky enough to find one? Pythas Block 0 Pythas Block 0 is a new TDM map. It’s a corporate campus owned by Pythas Inc. that sits high above the city Kómma on Solace. It’s used for Pythas offices of high-end executives, some entertainment, and an arcade called Pythas Arcade. NEW EVENTS Town Takeover: Encore Galore! The carrier Encore Galore has arrived at Kings Canyon painted tip to tail with neon paint almost as loud as Rhapsody’s music. Land on Encore Galore for awesome loot and a chance at finding a VIP pass Rhapsody LIVE: Complete challenges in-game to earn special Rhapsody posters to commemorate this brand new Legends arrival in the Apex Games! • Apex Legends Mobile review: The best mobile BR can still get better – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile review: The best mobile BR can still get better Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is finally dropping onto mobile with a worldwide release, and while there’s a lot still to come, the foundation is here for an excellent translation of the core game. It’s hard to remember a game launch in recent years as impressive as Apex Legends. Sure, on new season days the servers can chug a bit, and there has been no shortage of bugs and community gripes, but that initial drop onto Kings Canyon, after Respawn’s impressive reveal stream, lives long in the memory. The good news is that Apex Legends Mobile offers a lot of the same thrills and freneticism as its bigger, older brother. It’s an excellent mobile battle royale that will take some Apex Champions a bit of time to get used to, but could be huge for the franchise, and mobile gaming, going forward. Apex Legends Mobile – Key details Price: Free-to-play – Developer: Respawn Entertainment / Lightspeed & Quantum Studios – Release date: May 17, 2022 – Platforms: iOS, Android – Apex Legends Mobile trailer If looks could kill While it’d be fair to say that much of Apex Legends has been shrunk down to fit in your pocket, that’s not to say the game isn’t still an impressive visual feat. While we were testing it on the latest iPhone 13 Pro Max, we noticed very little slowdown and responsive controls throughout. Your mileage may vary based on your device, but we were impressed by how much of World’s Edge’s detail survived the transition from console and PC to mobile. Early signs are mixed, though — while the Legend selection screen is just how you’d expect, there’s plenty of texture and object pop-in when dropping onto the map. And yet, once you hit the surface, everything works just as you’d expect it to. The ring will close, you’ll loot weapons, and if you’re anything like this writer you’ll get ambushed more than once. The difference with Apex Legends Mobile, though is in its difficulty. Read more: Nintendo Switch Sports review – While we suspect our high kill counts are likely the result of bots, there’s definitely a more forgiving side to be found here — and that could be down to the transition to touch controls (something we’ll get to shortly). In any case, it pays to keep moving, and smart tweaks like an indicator on areas that can be mantled is a godsend in the middle of a firefight. Taking control Apex Legends is known for its fluid movement and shooting, and you’d be right to consider that’s a tough target to hit when using a mobile phone’s touchscreen for input. While there are some idiosyncrasies, there’s also a lot to like. As is the norm for many mobile shooters, Apex Legends Mobile lets players use a virtual analog stick on the left side of the screen, while actions, and aiming, are found on the right. You can sprint by holding your left stick forward, while crouching and jumping are both on the bottom right. In our experience, it wasn’t long until we were sliding down slopes and leaping over fences as we would on PC, but there is a definite learning curve that will undoubtedly deter some longstanding Apex fans. Stick with it, though, and you’ll find you’ll be the kill leader in no time — although, again, we suspect that’s because bots are being used to make up the numbers in our playtests. In any case, a truncated tutorial helps cover ability usage, revives, and combat, and while you may be familiar already it’s a whole different game here. While much of the game’s UI is impressively clear, right down to ammo counts, the attachments on your weapons and plenty more, it’s worth noting that things can get a little finicky when it comes to picking up loot. An automatic pickup option is great for handling ammo, but trying to spot which attachments are in a death box while scrolling through is less than ideal. There’s also a strange inconsistency whereby death boxes have a very specific button that needs to be pressed, but supply bins can be opened by tapping them. Read more: Rogue Legacy 2 review – Still, the naturally looser controls don’t feel so much of a hindrance so much as a different kind of Apex Legends match; Aiming is snappy, and weapon recoil feels dialed in to be a little bit more forgiving. There are also a lot less of players hugging cover, although we suspect that’s because many are still figuring out how best to do that with the controls. All in all, though, if the thought of playing Apex Legends on a mobile device had you screwing your face up when it was announced, you’re likely to be pleasantly surprised. There’s a firing range and team deathmatch mode, too, meaning there are plenty of chances to practice your aim. Arenas is also back, giving you the perfect opportunity to test out all manner of weapons. New Faces One of the things we can’t speak about at this point is how the in-game economy will work, but we did get a glimpse at the battle pass in our pre-release build. As you can imagine, there are unlockables to earn, but you’ll also need to unlock your core Legend roster. Players will only have Octane and Bloodhound to begin with, although in our experience we were able to unlock each subsequent Legend within another match or two. While the whole gang isn’t here just yet, there is a new addition in Fade. Fade is fun to play as, and while he’s not reason enough to install Apex Legends Mobile, we are hoping he’ll make the jump to the console and PC versions. He gets a speed boost when sliding, meaning he’s ideal for closing the gap on enemies when heading downhill, and can bounce back in time by a few seconds to get out of danger, making him a great pick for newcomers. Sadly, though, Fade’s addition doesn’t make up for a lack of BR maps in Apex Legends Mobile at launch — we’re itching to see how Kings Canyon translates, but the map won’t be available in battle royale at launch. There are plenty of arenas and TDM maps, but with characters like Fuse, Horizon, and Ash missing, it feels like the game is primed to grow over the coming months. 8/10 Apex Legends Mobile may be lacking maps and Legends, but it does an excellent job of translating the squad-based battle royale formula to mobile devices. It’s fun and frantic, and is a great way for newcomers to jump into the franchise while offering a unique appeal for veterans, too. • Apex Legends mobile playtests starting ahead of Nintendo Switch launch – Dexerto

Apex Legends mobile playtests starting ahead of Nintendo Switch launch Respawn EntertainmentPlaytesting for the mobile version of Apex Legends appears to be underway as Respawn’s popular battle royale starts making its way to other platforms and devices. After its surprise launch in February of 2019, Apex Legends has cemented itself as one of the premier battle royale games around. As a result of its ever-increasing popularity, players have been asking Respawn Entertainment to put the game on more platforms. They recently took down the Origin exclusivity on PC, putting the game on Steam, where it’s broken its peak player count record in Season 8. Apex will also launch on Nintendo Switch on March 9, and it looks as if its launch on mobile devices might not be too far away either, as playtesting is getting underway. The move to mobile was confirmed not long after the battle royale first released, with EA announcing that they were aiming for a soft launch at the end of 2020, with an eye also on the start of the new fiscal year. It makes sense then, that now we’re in March – the beginning of the new fiscal year – that efforts would be ramped up to get the game out. As Reddit user EXO_R3EECH notes, a playtest of the mobile version is underway through EA’s testing website. Sadly, it doesn’t seem like everyone can get involved. The Redditor commented that it seems to be only available to players in the United States and Canada, and for those with an Android device. Plus, you’ll have needed to register interest some time ago to have gotten an invite. More playtests could crop up before launch, so you can register your interest over on EA’s site. There’s no guarantee that you’ll get an invite, but it might be worth trying. After all, you would be helping the developers shape the game. As for an official release of the mobile version, we’ll just have to wait and see on that front, but you can follow the latest updates in our dedicated hub, here.

  • Apex Legends Mobile players mindblown over “sniper” RE-45 stats – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile players mindblown over “sniper” RE-45 stats Respawn EntertainmentAs Apex Legends Mobile is in its beta stage testing things out before release, fans are mindblown over a simple stat that makes the RE-45 a sniper with over 200 meters of effective range. Respawn Entertainment announced that Apex Legends Mobile will be coming out, following in the steps of Epic Games and Riot Games, as the company is expanding to smartphone players. Apex is one of the most popular battle royales in the world and is constantly adding new things to keep the game fresh. As the mobile version is still in beta, things are certain to get changed before it’s released. One thing that might need to be changed is the effective range of the RE-45 as it has more than a sniper. Apex Legends Mobile players discover RE-45 has over 200 meters of range Every gun in Apex has its own strengths and weaknesses. Rifles tend to strive in long-range fights, while pistols are more viable up close. However, that may not be the case in the mobile game. This Reddit post by ‘PUNISHER019-’ brings up the stats of the RE-45 and to much surprise, this gun is insane when it comes to long-range flights. As you can see from the picture below, the handgun has an effective range of 204 meters, which means this could be an extremely effective long-range weapon — strange as it might sound. One Redditor said, “You’re trying to Kraber some guy and he whips out a 45 and beams you.” While the gun may not do as much damage as the Kraber, if you miss a shot the player could gun you down as the RE-45 has 21 bullets in the clip. This could just be a glitch as the game is still in beta or the could mean that effective range works differently in the mobile version than the one on PC and console. However, if this does make it into the game, you’ll probably want to give this gun a try and see how much damage it can do.

  • Apex Legends Mobile new Legend Rhapsody revealed: Abilities, lore, new map – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile new Legend Rhapsody revealed: Abilities, lore, new map Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Mobile has revealed the next mobile-exclusive Legend, the sound-based rebel Rhapsody, with a minute-long story cinematic trailer. As Season 2 of Apex Legends Mobile approaches, Respawn Entertainment gave fans the first look at the next mobile-exclusive Legend. Though the new Legend’s name leaked online early, fans officially got the first look at her in action. Respawn released a minute-long story cinematic trailer that introduced Rhapsody, a sound-based rebel who looks to be taking the stage in Season 2. Who is Rhapsody in Apex Legends? Thanks to the official Apex Legends Mobile Twitter account, we know Rhapsody will make her debut on July 12, 2022 when Season Two: Distortion begins. The tweet and recent patch notes from Respawn included the Season 2 launch trailer, which mainly focuses on giving a bit of background lore for Rhapsody. The trailer opens with narration from Rhapsody, dispelling rumors that she started a the collapse and riots surrounding Pythas Inc., a prominent corporation that “controls all” on Kómma. https://twitter.com/PlayApexMobile/status/1545060951187017734 The patch notes say that “the best way to understand Rhapsody is through her music,” which clearly inspires her ability set and aesthetic. Apparently, Rhapsody’s mother built her robot companion, Rowdy, to help “amplify her daughter’s voice.” Rhapsody’s mother was eventually fired from Pythas after discovering “company secrets,” essentially leading her family to financial ruin and into the “dangerous nightlife district” Neon Dunes. Rhapsody honed her DJ talents at Neon Dunes which began inspiring the “rebellious heart” of the people there. After accepting an offer to perform on the wealthier side of town for a chance to wipe out her family’s debt, Rhapsody earned Pythas’ wrath and accepted an offer to join the Apex Games under their banner to avoid more problems for her family. Now, “Rhapsody plans on topping the Apex charts until she’s earned enough to buy her way out of this “sponsorship deal” and win her family’s life back.” Further along in the trailer, we get our first look at the new Team Deathmatch map launching in Season 2: Pythas Block 0. Pythas Block 0 looks to be a neon purple metropolis, which is set at nighttime according to the reveal trailer. Rhapsody’s abilities in Apex Legends Mobile Rhapsody’s cinematic reveal trailer offered some hints about her abilities, which looked to give the team some helpful support throughout. However, thanks to Respawn’s Season 2 Distortion patch notes, we now know Rhapsody’s full ability list and progression perks. Rhapsody of course has a Passive, Tactical, and Ultimate ability, which seems to incorporate her speaker-like robot buddy, Rowdy. Passive: Gifted Ear – You pick up and visualize sounds from an extended range – Tactical: Hype Anthem – Play a powerful track that speeds up nearby squadmates and recharges shields. Taking damage will end the effect. – Ultimate Ability: Rowdy’s Rave – Rowdy projects a wall of flashing lights that blocks incoming sight and scans. – Additionally, the patch notes gave fans a full look at Rhapsody’s Legend Progression Perks: Volume Control – Squadmates affected by your Tactical temporarily gain Gifted Ear. – Sound Bleed – Occasionally see nearby 3D sound visualizations effects through walls. – Players won’t have to wait long to see exactly what Rhapsody brings to the mobile battle royale as Apex Legends Mobile Season 2: Distortion launches on July 12, 2022.

  • Apex Legends Mobile makes players jealous with exclusive skins & select animations – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile makes players jealous with exclusive skins & select animations Respawn EntertainmentAs Apex Legends mobile continues to roll out across the globe, its eye-catching exclusive skins and awesome Legend select animations have left PC and console players green with envy. After constant speculation and delays, Apex Legends Mobile has finally launched in ten countries around the world. From New Zealand to Colombia, Indonesia to Argentina, mobile gamers have been diving in to experience what the handheld version has to offer. Some of Apex Mobile’s features have already proven popular, with players asking Respawn to adapt the ‘Follow’ and ‘Battle’ commands into the core game. It turns out that there’s even more for PC and console player envious of, though, as the mobile title’s awesome exclusive skins and stunning Legend select animations for Legendary cosmetics are leaving fans’ jaws on the floor. Apex Mobile’s exclusive skins & animations are amazing Apex Mobile has gifted players two Legendary Lifeline skins as part of the battle pass: Down for the Count and Martial Malpractice. Two others were previously revealed for toxic trapper, Caustic, but it’s the Lifeline ones that have captured players’ attention. The former sees the fan-favorite support don martial arts-inspired training armor, while the latter sees her sport a gold and black boxing-style outfit. “I want this Lifeline skin in the main game,” writes one fan, but most comment on the unique Legend select animations that accompany these Legendary cosmetics. For each different Legendary skin, we see a short animation when it is selected. While Lifeline struggles to control her mischievous D.O.C Drone, Wraith tears through her portals and stares menacingly into the camera. “Will we ever get this kind of quality content in the main game?” asks one, while another echoes ” the main game doesn’t even have unique animations for prestige skins.” While we’re unlikely to see the Mobile exclusive skins make it into the base game, it’ll be interesting to see if Respawn take a leaf out of Apex Mobile’s book and add more Legend Select intros for high-tier skins into the base game. Until then, though, we’ll just have to control our envy.

  • Apex Legends Mobile improves Legends’ abilities for Mirage, Bangalore and Gibraltar – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile improves Legends’ abilities for Mirage, Bangalore and Gibraltar Respawn EntertainmentA number of the characters in Apex Legends Mobile have improved abilities when compared to their counterparts in the main game, with Mirage, Bangalore, Gibraltar, and Bloodhound all receiving buffs. With Apex Legends Mobile’s limited regional launch kicking off on March 7 in a select set of countries, players have finally been able to dive into the Outlands on their iOS and Android devices. While the hugely improved Firing Range has been a heavily discussed topic in the community, players have also noticed changes with certain Legend abilities on mobile Although a lot of these differences are minor, some Legends including Mirage, Bangalore, Gibraltar, and Bloodhound all seem to have received buffs on the alternative version of the game. Apex Legends Mobile buffs Mirage, Bangalore & Gibraltar Apex Legends YouTuber Skeptation decided to compare every single Legend ability from the main game with those on mobile. In doing so, they managed to identify some key changes and improvements for specific Legends. One of which is Mirage, whose decoys seem to mimic the player perfectly on mobile, even equipping and unholstering weapons which is not possible in the main game. Improvements to Mirage’s Tactical have been heavily requested recently, so it’ll be interesting to see if Respawn takes notes from mobile. Other buffs can be seen with Bangalore, whose smokes are significantly thicker, preventing one-way vision. Bloodhound’s Ultimate also lasts five seconds longer on mobile, giving them more time to hunt down enemies. Finally, Gibraltar’s bubble comes with an in-game timer, allowing you to track exactly when the shield is going to drop. Other than Bloodhound, a lot of the changes for mobile are quality of life improvements that could be added to the main game. The primary topic of discussion will no doubt be the decoy buffs for Mirage, which the playerbase has been asking for Respawn to change for multiple seasons. With the Tactical improvements finally making an appearance on mobile, a lot of Mirage mains will be hoping the devs decide to adjust the main game’s trickster in the near future.

  • Apex Legends Mobile has incredible weapon feature players want in main game – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile has incredible weapon feature players want in main game Respawn/EAApex Legends fans want Respawn to bring over the weapon stats and recoil breakdown from Apex Mobile as the helpful addition has blown some of them away. Just like other battle royales, Apex Legends has started making waves in the mobile gaming space and it has a few unique twists versus the normal battle royale experience. One that has caught the eye recently is the fact that mobile has infinite ammo in Firing Range – which has been highly-requested by console and PC players alike for quite some time now, but that’s not all. Players have also found that the mobile version gives you better insights into the game’s weapons and equipment, and it would really help anyone who is new to the console game as well. Redditor Bossuter showed that in the current beta build of Apex Legends mobile, you’re able to get detailed stat breakdowns for every weapon, including reload speed, damage per body part, and even recoil. It resembles Call of Duty: Mobile and Warzone in a way with all the stats on screen and naturally, after seeing it for the first time, some players have questioned why it isn’t a thing on console and PC.

  • Apex Legends Mobile exclusive legend leaked: DJ aka Rhapsody – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile exclusive legend leaked: DJ aka Rhapsody Respawn EntertainmentA new exclusive Apex Legends Mobile legend DJ aka Rhapsody has been leaked and they appear to be equipped with a robot dog. It’s been over a month since the release of Apex Legends Mobile and the community is enjoying battling in the Outlands on their handheld devices. However, since Fade’s introduction to Apex Mobile, a lot of players have been wondering when the next character will be arriving in-game. With confirmation from the devs that more exclusive legends are on the cards, there’s a lot of excitement around who will be added to the roster next. Well, a new leak may have provided the answer, with a set of leaked images revealing the existence of the character DJ aka Rhapsody and their robot dog. Apex Legends Mobile character DJ aka Rhapsody leaked Thanks to reliable Apex Mobile leaker ThatOneGamingBot it’s been revealed that a new exclusive character has been in the works called DJ aka Rhapsody. While we have no images of the legend themselves, ThatOneGamingBot has provided a set of images that appear to showcase their robot dog called Nebula. It is speculated that this will be an ability in DJ’s kit, and may even interact in a similar way to Crypto’s drone, potentially scouting the position of enemies on the map. Of course, it’s possible this ally is capable of dealing damage, but at this time we only have concept art so it’s impossible to pinpoint the details. The Nebula dog does look like it has speakers on the side of its head, so it’s always a possibility. However, this is all speculation at this point in time, and it’s possible DJ aka Rhapsody isn’t even the next Legend in line to join the mobile roster. We’ll just have to wait for an official announcement from Respawn.

  • Apex Legends Mobile finally buffs Loba’s ult and PC players are not happy – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile finally buffs Loba’s ult and PC players are not happy Respawn EntertainmentLoba has finally arrived in Apex Legends Mobile, but some players are demanding one of her mobile-exclusive abilities be added to the main version of the game. Apex players have been wanting Loba to receive one particular buff for years: the ability to retrieve teammate’s banners with her Black Market Boutique Ultimate. Unfortunately, Apex’s development team has consistently shot down this idea whenever it’s been brought up by the community. Now though, this exact ability has made its way into Loba’s kit in Apex Legends Mobile, and fans are demanding the same ability be added on PC and consoles as well. Loba gets long-awaited ability in Apex Legends Mobile Loba’s new “Illegal Trade” ability makes it so Loba mains “can loot your Squadmate’s banner from your Black Market.” However, the ability is exclusive to Apex Legends Mobile, which is a phone version of Apex Legends developed by a team at Respawn with help from Tencent. For those that don’t know, Apex Legends Mobile features dedicated slots for Perks, Finishers, and Abilities that Legends can equip – something that PC and console versions don’t have. Read More: How to play Apex Legends Mobile on PC – While Loba’s Illegal Trade is a perk that must be unlocked and equipped for her, it still allows mobile users to use this highly sought-after ability. After we tweeted out this mobile-exclusive ability, fans quickly voiced their own opinions on the Illegal Trade ability via social media. Mobile literally gets all the features PC been asking for. Do they just hate the PC community? — DragonSpiceSol🔞 (@soft_sol_noises) June 11, 2022 “Mobile literally gets all the features PC been asking for. Do they just hate the PC community?” replied soft_sol_noises. Another Twitter user ItsRioBambino said “No way this is real. Not after asking this for months on console/pc,” which was quickly followed up by Apex Legends Mobile players confirming the ability is actually in the game. This new mobile-exclusive ability, compounded with the fact that Loba’s tactical ability is once again broken in Season 13, has left a lot of Loba fans unhappy with Respawn at the moment. Perhaps Respawn will take this community feedback into account and finally add this long-awaited buff into non-mobile versions of Apex Legends, but for now, that remains to be seen.

  • Apex Legends Mobile beta adds Team Deathmatch, Legend perks, more – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile beta adds Team Deathmatch, Legend perks, more Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Mobile will feature exclusive content that is not currently available in the console and PC versions of the game. The Apex Legends Mobile beta is well underway, giving players the chance to take the intense FPS action wherever they go. Despite the interest surrounding the mobile title, Respawn has remained fairly quiet on what features are included in this version of the popular BR title. While players can expect to see the same characters, weapons, and maps, the game’s fourth beta test has revealed a number of exclusive additions. In fact, new screenshots have now cropped up online, revealing a first look at the title’s Legend perks, TDM game mode, and a bunch of other features that aren’t present in the console and PC versions of Apex. Apex Legends Mobile features exclusive content Being able to get your FPS fix on the go is certainly an exciting prospect for many Apex fans, but a beta player has now discovered that the mobile version has a number of new features. Twitter user ThatOneApexBot posted their findings on the social media platform, giving Apex players a sneak peek at the upcoming content. While features like 3v3 Arenas and ranked will be familiar with PC and console Apex players, the addition of unique Legend perks, 6v6 Team Deathmatch, 10 squad matches, and Loot packs will come as a surprise. MURDABLAST YT also uploaded some gameplay footage of Apex Mobile’s 6v6 TDM mode. https://twitter.com/anapexbot/status/1441333400472743941 The player can be seen taking down their opponents on Thermal Station, a popular POI from World’s Edge. It appears that specific loadouts can be chosen, enabling players to practice specific weapon types and Legends. Exclusive Legend perks can also be unlocked, which gives you various skills that alter the game. In the example shown, MURDABLAST YT picked the AP-21 Warhead Fragment – a skill that deals damage to nearby foes whenever you land shots with a Sniper Rifle. It’s certainly an interesting addition and we’ll likely get more information regarding Apex Legends Mobile in the months to come.

  • Apex Legends Mobile already has cheaters taking over with wallhacks & aimbots – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mobile already has cheaters taking over with wallhacks & aimbots Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Mobile limited regional launch may have only just gone live, but cheaters are already being spotted in-game. Since its release back in 2019, Apex Legends has suffered from cheaters that use third-party software to gain an advantage over their competition. Although the battle royale has an anti-cheat system and Respawn themselves have taken steps to manually ban hackers, the problem still persists, especially at the higher tiers of Ranked. Unfortunately, these issues have spread to Apex Legends Mobile, despite the game only being in its limited launch phase. Hackers already spotted in Apex Legends Mobile Apex Legends Mobile may not have released fully just yet, but it’s already experiencing the same issues as the main game when it comes to cheaters. As showcased by HamadKx on the Apex Legends subreddit, hackers have been spotted dominating games on the Android and iOS title, making it impossible for legit players to win. After being eliminated during a match, HamadKx decided to spectate their opponent and they quickly realized that they had an aimbot and wallhacks enabled. Landing every shot with the Peacekeeper and locating enemies in an instant, the Octane was unkillable and racking up countless kills with ease. With Apex Legends Mobile bringing in a huge amount of new players who have never dropped into the Outlands before, the arrival of cheaters already will be a major concern for Respawn. While a lot of players have suggested that Apex Legends on PC and console should move to a kernel-level driver anti-cheat that’s similar to Valorant, the devs haven’t indicated that they have any plans to do so. Therefore, it’s hard to believe that any changes are going to be made to the Apex Legends Mobile anti-cheat either. For now, it’s just a case of monitoring the issue to see if it gets any worse, but it’s safe to say the clips have certainly got the community concerned.

  • Apex Legends Mixtape mode: New LTM playlist explained – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mixtape mode: New LTM playlist explained Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 16 is introducing a new permanent playlist called Mixtape, which brings back previous LTMs on rotation. Here’s everything Apex fans need to know about the new playlist. One of the things the Apex Legends player base requests most from the development team at Respawn are more Limited Time Modes, or LTMs, to shake up gameplay. Over time, Respawn has introduced several modes that have been well-received by the community, including LTMs like Control and Gun Run. Now, Season 16 brings in a brand new permanent playlist that will bring back previous LTMs like Control, Gun Run, and the newly introduced Team Deathmatch on rotation. What is Mixtape playlist in Apex Legends? Season 16’s Mixtape playlist is a new, permanent playlist added to Apex Legends which will bring back past LTMs such as Control and Gun Run. Similar to how public maps rotate every in intervals, the modes included in the Mixtape playlist will also change periodically. Additionally, Apex Legends’ new Team Deathmatch mode will be included in the Mixtape playlist after it is removed from its own dedicated timeslot in the game’s menus. Thankfully the Mixtape playlist isn’t only limited to these three modes, as Respawn has confirmed that the playlist will evolve and change over time. This means that new modes and LTMs will eventually appear in Mixtape along with older LTMs not mentioned above. Mixtape will be available three weeks after the launch of Season 16, with Team Deathmatch only available for the first three weeks. Will Arenas appear in the Mixtape playlist? Sadly for fans of Arenas, Respawn confirmed that the mode is being removed from the game as a permanent game mode, with Team Deathmatch hoping to fill the role that Arenas provided players. While the development team confirmed Mixtape will have a variety of previous game modes, it seems Arenas will not be one of those returning in the playlist. • Apex Legends: How to make Mirage’s “currently pointless” Ultimate more useful – Dexerto

Apex Legends: How to make Mirage’s “currently pointless” Ultimate more useful Respawn Entertainment via gamerevolutionOne of Apex Legends’ more charismatic characters, Mirage, has an ability kit that can feel underwhelming during intense firefights, but that could change with a creative update to his Ultimate. Apex Legends released on February 4 with eight wildly different Legends to choose from. But now that players have had time to explore each of their abilities, they’ve began to suggest improvements for the Holographic Trickster. Reddit user ‘CDHarris’ suggested making an update to Mirage’s Vanishing Act ultimate that would take away his cloaking but make his decoys more meaningful in order to distract the opponents. CDHarris points out that Mirage’s current ult, which sends out numerous decoys while making the Legend invisible, is essentially useless. Seeing more than three Mirages instantly notifies the enemy that none of them is the real one, and that they should keep an eye out for the real one to appear. Which is why the Reddit user suggested taking away Mirage’s invisibility, but replacing it with a visual distortion while creating various holograms that perform different functions. “I say get rid of the cloaking during the ult,” CDHarris said. “Have his ultimate cause a brief visual distortion of some kind while a number of Mirages step out in different directions… Then, each decoy randomly selects from a set of behaviours to cause confusion…” CDHarris said the Decoys’ actions could range from simply standing still to strafing side-to-side, and even crouching while aiming down the sights. Fans were quick to point out the change could actually make Mirage’s ultimate too overpowered since opponents would expend valuable resources gunning down the fakes. Though the change could have harsh implications in terms of balance, the update to Mirage’s ult would definitely make the ability more impactful in the midst of a chaotic battle.

  • Apex Legends player creates best Mirage ultimate rework yet – Dexerto

Apex Legends player creates best Mirage ultimate rework yet As fans anxiously await the release of Apex Legends‘ first battle pass, players are having fun with making potential changes to their favorite characters. We’re now about halfway through the month of March meaning the release of the Season 1 Battle Pass is creeping up on us. Fans and players have begun to grow quite anxious so some are taking to creating their own reworks to some of their favorite Legends currently in the game. The latest rework takes a look at Mirage, whose current Ultimate causes him to be surrounded by clones of himself and cause opponents to lose sight of the real version. It’s a good Ultimate to use in a pinch as it can easily get you out of a sticky situation. However, it’s easy to see where it can do more as many of other Ultimates are better. In an image uploaded to Reddit by user ApathyAstronaut, we get a good look at what a potential rework could look like. The Ultimate is called ‘Fata Morgana’ and has the following description. Upon activation, for the next 5 seconds, Mirage can deploy up to 3 holographic decoys which will move in the direction he is facing for 15 seconds before disappearing. If a decoy is damaged by an enemy they will reveal the enemy’s location. The description makes it sounds like this would be used as more of an offensive Ultimate rather than a defensive one since it would reveal the position of your enemy and allow you to control where the decoys go. This fan-made rework of Mirage’s Ultimate would make it a lot more viable. It definitely seems like a decent rework and could work quite well in the game. However, fixing this Ultimate would leave someone like Pathfinder with an Ultimate that leaves a lot to desire. If this Ultimate is changed then it would be unfair not to look at all the Ultimates in the game.

  • Apex Legends Mirage rework concept would make him a true master of misdirection – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mirage rework concept would make him a true master of misdirection Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has produced a concept for a Mirage rework that would significantly improve his ability to misdirect enemies. Mirage has long been considered one of the weakest Legends in the game, with his ability set criticized for not being particularly useful. Though he’s designed to help players out-think their opponents with decoys and distractions, the reality is that his abilities are too often very easily identifiable, making them ineffective. With u/Ben_Mc25’s rework, however, Mirage could become a true master of misdirection. Mirage, Master of Misdirection In place of the stealth that Mirage gets when he is downed, Mirage’s passive would empower his decoys to a greater degree. Upon meeting a downed opponent, they would initiate a finisher – which is highly likely to force a response from the downed player’s squad – before disappearing if the animation completes. Likewise, Mirage’s Psyche Out ability, which deploys a holographic decoy, would have the added function of a second activation that causes the decoy to fire in the direction they’re facing, making them appear more realistic. One of the biggest targets for criticism against Mirage has been his ultimate. As it stands, Mirage’s ultimate sees him throw out multiple decoys in a circle around him, and go into stealth for a short period. With the decoys remaining static and the stealth not being true invisibility, and therefore often still fairly easy to identify, many argue that the ultimate is ineffective in most cases. With u/Ben_Mc25’s rework, the stealth would be traded for a short flash and smoke to conceal Mirage’s initial position. Meanwhile, the decoys that spawn would all face different directions, and then would mimic the actions of the real Mirage, making it much harder to identify the true player. Unfortunately for players hoping to see changes along these lines – or any significant adjustments, for that matter – Respawn have stated that they don’t have plans for major changes to existing Legends, and so “Mirage is unlikely to get any sort of major rework.” Apex Legends players can at least look forward to some brand-new Legends in the future, although at the moment there isn’t yet an official timeline for when the next character will be released or how frequently new Legends can be expected going forward.

  • Apex Legends Mirage main creates “perfect” buff for the Trickster – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mirage main creates “perfect” buff for the Trickster EAAn Apex Legends player has devised what they think is the “perfect” Mirage buff for Season 4, giving the Holographic Trickster more of a fighting chance against the top legends. The Apex Legends meta has changed considerably since its launch over a year ago. With Respawn constantly tweaking Legends throughout the course of the past four seasons, plenty of players have changed who they run as their main. After receiving a significant buff in Season 2, Mirage has (for the most part) gone untouched by Respawn. On paper, the Holographic Trickster is an ideal all-rounder, but a big hitbox and limited ability set has ultimately rendered him a mid-to-bottom tier character. Despite Mirage’s flaws, he still has a faithful player base. One of his loyal mains is Redditor ‘MittnXBL’ who has gone one step further than simply venting their frustrations, and have developed a fully-fledged list of implementable changes. MittnXBL has proposed a number of changes that, per their post, would package as “the perfect Mirage buff.” As opposed to simply adjusting Mirage’s current ability set, the Mirage main added both a Tactical and Passive ability while tweaking the ‘Vanishing Act’ Ultimate. The player has suggested that Respawn should add an additional decoy to the ‘Psyche Out’ Tactical before requiring a cooldown. Moreover, for every enemy bamboozled by the Mirage’s decoy, a player would be granted a 15% reduction in cooldown time. The Mirage main also requested a 25-second cloak increase to their passive – which currently stands as five seconds – and a fellow player immediately questioned this in their comment, stating “that almost seems excessive.” In terms of the changes to their Ultimate, a cloak of invisibility could be added, which would allow players to shoot and heal while using it — the caveat to this being that if a player does deploy it, the camo fades the more a player carries out an action. While the above list of buffs to Mirage’s current ability set may seem a little unorthodox, Mirage may finally be able to compete with the likes of Gibraltar. Gibby is the perfect example of someone who plays like a whole new Legend these days, when you compare him to the clunky, underpowered character that entered the Apex Games in Season 0. Perhaps Mirage could be next in-line for a series of buffs?

  • Apex Legends’ Mirage is “super strong” and won’t be getting Season 9 buff – Dexerto

Apex Legends’ Mirage is “super strong” and won’t be getting Season 9 buff Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment have confirmed that Mirage is not getting a buff in Apex Legends Season 9 given that he’s already “super strong” in-game. Apex Legends is barreling rapidly towards the start of Season 9 where, after long last, Valkyrie will join the roster of characters, and players also get the chance to use the Bocek Bow. On top of the new stuff, including more map changes, a few of the current legends are receiving buffs and nerfs – including fixes for Loba, a big buff for Fuse’s Knuckle Cluster, and all-round nerfs to Lifeline. One character that won’t be changing, however, is Mirage. The bamboozling legend has been a staple in games ever since the battle royale first launched, and he appears to be in a good place right now. Will Mirage be buffed in Apex Legends Season 9? Following the launch of the Season 9: Legacy trailer, Respawn’s Daniel Klein fielded a few questions from fans about the new season, and let loose that the devs are working on Season’s 13 and 14 already. One fan asked the usual question about legend changes, focusing on Mirage and Rampart, given it’s been a bit hush-hush about what’s going on with them in the new season update. “Mirage is super strong,” replied Klein. “Seriously, no joking; one of the strongest legends in the game at low levels and doesn’t even fall off a lot as you get up there. I’d say you can play Mirage well into master lobbies. We got stuff coming for Rampart down the line, but nothing to talk about yet.” Comment byu/paradoxally from discussion inapexlegends Some fans quickly disagreed with Klein, stating that they want Mirage’s decoy ability to be a touch stronger, but it’s already been changed a bunch recently, and it looks like he’s in a good place. Of course, once the meta starts to shake out for the new season, Respawn will have more data to go off and decide whether changes are needed. If Mirage slips down the rankings, then a buff may be in order. Though, for now, that’s not the case.

Apex Legends Mirage Holo-Day Bash: trailer, skins, Winter Express LTM Respawn EntertainmentRespawn has officially revealed the Apex Legends Christmas event, which sees Mirage takeover World’s Edge with his festive ‘Holo-Day Bash,’ dropping new skins, weapons, and a limited-time mode into the battle royale. After weeks of speculation surrounding Mirage’s Town Takeover, as well as the Winter Express LTM, Respawn has confirmed the Christmas-themed event will be dropping into the game immediately, with everything Holo-Day Bash now available. You got bamboozled! Admit it, I totally had you fooled but no hard feelings, ok? That was all so I could get your attention and invite you to my amazing Holo-day Bash! And guess what? Other cosmetics include a reindeer costume for Octane, a Santa Claus get-up for Caustic, and Jack Frost gear for Crypto. Bangalore appears as a snowman, while Gibraltar dons a polar bear suit. Pathfinder and Wattson also have skins. As well as the skins and voice lines being added to the game, Holo-Day Bash is also bringing a wealth of gameplay features for players, including Winter Express, which will see players battling for control of the World’s Edge train. The new mode is based around a king-of-the-hill format, where players will collect points for controlling certain areas as the train speeds around the map. Similar to Fight or Fright, players will respawn multiple times during the mode. Alongside the Christmas-themed releases, it looks like Pathfinder mains will also be enjoying an early birthday present in the form of red-styled boxing gloves for the loveable robot, which confirms leaks from earlier this month. The event announcement was also very heavily on-brand for Mirage’s character, as he appeared in a live video feed at The Game Awards, speaking to host and founder Geoff Keighley about the new features based around himself. “It’s the most wonderful time of the year,” Mirage said after dialing into the awards from the contact ‘Ya Boi Mirage.’ “Wow, I should practice that more, bit scratchy. Hey, Keighley my man, what’s going on?” “Tell me, did I already win for Best All-Round Competitor in a Battle Royale Based on Skills but Mostly Good Looks?” he joked. “I know everyone is always asking for more Mirage events, so I’m here to give the people what they want.” The holo-trickster turned into his new Holo-Day Bash skin, his nutcracker outfit, before revealing the Apex Legends festive celebrations were starting “right now,” with players able to jump into the LTM whenever they want. Hello? 📞 It’s party time! @PlayApex has a surprise for #TheGameAwards pic.twitter.com/lUBfPxc25H — The Game Awards (@thegameawards) December 13, 2019 Respawn also confirmed that the new event would reveal more backstory details about Mirage as the celebrations continue, mainly through the LTM. The Holo-Day Bash is live on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC right now, and is expected to continue throughout the holiday season.

  • Could Apex Legends get a Mirage event announcement at The Game Awards? – Dexerto

Could Apex Legends get a Mirage event announcement at The Game Awards? Respawn Entertainment have been ramping up the hype for Apex Legends’ nominations at The Game Awards, leading fans to believe the devs have something else planned for the annual celebration. Since 2014, The Game Awards have been a “global celebration of video game and esports,” with the latest iteration to spotlight 2019’s biggest hits in the industry. This year’s show will premiere on December 12, along with exclusive trailers and possibly brand new worldwide reveals – which could include a look at upcoming events in Apex Legends. Various leaks have released in weeks past revolving around the Holo-Day Bash Christmas event as well as the possible Mirage Town Takeover, and Respawn’s social media activity is suspicious, to say the least. Respawn’s battle royale has been nominated for four awards at The Game Awards, which include ballots for the Action Game, Community Support, Multiplayer Game, and Ongoing Game categories. Leading up to The Game Awards, Respawn have been tweeting out lore-appropriate humblebrags featuring the life of the Apex Games, Mirage. .@Geoffkeighley, my man, Mirage here! While the category might be fake, the possibility for a new trailer teasing an upcoming Apex Legends event is very real. The company’s December 5 making Mirage’s case for the fictional award included a message saying: “[heart] this tweet to be reminded when I take the stage.” “”Best Competitor in a Battle Royale Based on Skills and Good Looks”” at this year’s #GameAwards? • Apex Legends Mirage concept gives him perfect heirloom finisher – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mirage concept gives him perfect heirloom finisher Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player created the perfect heirloom finisher concept for the bumbling showman, Mirage, and players want it in the game. Apex Legends’ various Legendary finishers and the incredibly rare heirlooms are some of the biggest status symbols in the battle royale. Unfortunately, while heirlooms give players a lot of cosmetic items like banners, quips, and the heirloom itself, there’ve never been any heirloom-specific finishers. Now, one Apex Legends player is creating heirloom finisher concepts and their concept for Mirage fits his boisterous personality perfectly. Mirage heirloom finisher concept is perfect The concept comes by way of Reddit user ‘PLConqueror‘ on the Apex Legends subreddit, who posted a six-second custom animation of the heirloom finisher. The animation shows Mirage doing a mock acceptance of his “Best Competitor” trophy heirloom as the opponent tries to stand up next to him. Mirage notices the downed opponent and swiftly knocks them out with the base of the trophy, before going back to admiring his heirloom. Anyone who’s played Mirage in Apex Legends knows just how full of himself he can be, so this heirloom concept fits him very well. Other Reddit users were also impressed with the concept, with many calling the concept “amazing” and wishing it was official. Many also suggested other variants of the finisher that PLConqueror could work on “I want to see him pull it out, fumble it around and drop it on their head, then look around in a panic and walk away like ‘no one saw me kill that guy, right?’” said K1NGD1GG1TY. So far, PLConqueror has made heirloom finisher concepts for both Mirage and Rampart, so it would be awesome to see them create concepts for the other Legends who have heirlooms, as well.

  • Apex Legends devs acknowledge Mirage bugs, hopeful for future improvements – Dexerto

Apex Legends devs acknowledge Mirage bugs, hopeful for future improvements Electronic ArtsDuring a recent Reddit AMA, an Apex Legends designer acknowledged Mirage bugs and said the studio hopes to improve the character in the future. Mirage counted among the eight playable heroes that launched with Apex Legends in early 2019. He’s since been a fan favorite character, too, with the holographic decoy ability especially setting him apart from the crowd. This beloved Legend is far from perfect, though. Similar to several other heroes on the roster, Mirage has his fair share of shortcomings. The holographic decoy doesn’t always work as intended, for example. In some instances, the decoy will get stuck on a player’s teammates or have difficulty traversing the terrain. Apex Legends fans aren’t the only ones aware of these hiccups. Respawn developer acknowledges Mirage bugs in Apex Legends Apex Legends developers recently took part in a Reddit AMA via the game’s official subreddit. The team fielded questions about everything from scrapped weapon concepts to character-specific concerns. Mirage was but one Legend that garnered mention. One fan, in particular, asked if Respawn planned on rolling out any bug fixes for the character since glitches from day one continue to linger. Lead Game Designer RV-Devan noted that many of the cited errors “are known and logged.” The developer also acknowledged Mirage’s “odd” terrain interactions. While these issues have proven difficult to flag, RV-Devan said Respawn is hopeful that improvements will come “in future seasons.” Given the number of bugs that continue to plague Apex Legends, this may not be the news that Mirage players want to hear. At the very least, it seems developers are aware of community concerns and will continue working towards addressing known issues.

  • Apex Legends Mirage buff would make decoys even more bamboozling – Dexerto

Apex Legends Mirage buff would make decoys even more bamboozling Respawn EntertainmentAn interesting Mirage buff idea has garnered a lot of traction in the Apex Legends community, with many saying it would be an awesome way to strengthen the Holographic Trickster. As far as legends go, Mirage is incredibly viable in Season 5. Alongside legends like Wraith and Gibraltar, there have rarely been more points where he has been as relatively strong as he is now. Given his power, it seems unlikely that a buff is coming anytime soon. However, as we have seen through Apex Legends history, new seasons bring new buffs, nerfs and meta changes, so there is every chance that Mirage could find himself facing a buff in the near future. As any Apex Legends player will already know, his Ultimate and Tactical Abilities spawn holographic decoys of himself, clouding the ability of enemies to determine which Mirage is the real one. However, there are stark differences in how these decoys operate to how the real Mirage operates. These are essentially to ensure they remain balanced, and that Mirage’s abilities are not too strong compared to his enemies’. One Redditor, dreslin, suggested that enemies should be able to down and perform finishers on Mirage decoys. Doing so would trigger an animation in which it became clear that the decoy could not be finished, but the enemy would have wasted valuable seconds trying to eliminate the decoy. Needless to say that the enemy will make themselves incredibly vulnerable when trying to execute a decoy, with the real Mirage or his teammates likely close by to open fire. “I just had this really funny image of someone trying to do a finisher and it goes through the whole little scene and then… poof “you got bamboozled”,” the Redditor said. Many echoed the belief that it would be an awesome addition to Mirage’s arsenal, but some suggested it would be unnecessary given his relative strength at the moment. Regardless, it’s always there as an option.

  • Apex Legends might be getting TWO new Legends in Season 2 – Dexerto

Apex Legends might be getting TWO new Legends in Season 2 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have found clues that may have revealed the identity of the next new Legend to be released in the game. The highly anticipated second season of Apex Legends will be releasing soon, and is set to include a lot of new content for the popular battle royale. One of the major pieces of new content will be the next Legend, Wattson, who will have some pretty exciting new abilities at her disposal. However, Wattson may not be the only new Legend that makes its debut in Season 2, as recent clues that have popped up point to a possible second playable hero added as well. Read More: Apex Legends 2? Don’t count on it – The new Legend is believed to be named Crypto, a character about whom nothing is really known about at this point except for his appearance. Crypto could be another brand new Legend added in Apex Legends Season 2. Recently, Reddit user FrozenFroh posted an in-depth breakdown of what he suspects will be an in-game event that will launch the start of Season 2. In his post, the data-miner includes a screenshot taken from the game files showing a file called ‘crypto_laptop_tease,’ which he believes will play a role in said in-game event. He then goes on to substantiate his theory with screenshots taken from official trailers and other pieces of game art that he believes are strong suggestions and clues that some sort of major change is coming to the map, and that Crypto will play a role in it. According to FrozenFroh: Crypto is the Korean guy from Pathfinder’s background art – His sword is in the S2 Logo – His data-mined abilities involve JAMMING: from stopping Pathfinder’s maphacks to stopping Bloodhound’s Sonar ability. – FrozenFroh believes that this character will JAM the Repulsor, which will cause a flood, and much more, in Season 2. FrozenFroh followed his post up with another one on June 21, yet again presenting what he believes are clues that Crypto will indeed have some role to play at the start and possibly even during Season 2. 600 Another Apex Legend expert, YouTuber Staycation, presenting his take on the data-mined leaked in a recent video, theorizing that Crypto will use his abilities to hack the Repulsor Tower and open it, releasing creatures into the map, including the mysterious new Flyers. Segment on Crypto starts at 1:06 mark Crypto’s name first surfaced when an image was leaked back in March containing a slew of new Legends that had not been released at that point. One of the characters shown in that image was Wattson, who has, of course, since been confirmed to be on her way to King’s Canyon. The leaked list of upcoming Legends includes the confirmed Wattson and Crypto. Crypto can also be seen on a poster that’s hanging in the background of poster art for the Pathfinder. Although the robotic character is very much the central focus of the image, the mysterious new Legend’s presence can clearly be seen on the top left corner of the art. It’s worth noting that this artwork has been used by Respawn Entertainment in official capacity, which would likely not have happened if Crypto was nothing more than just a rumor. Crypto can be seen on the top left corner of this Pathfinder game art. While all of this information points to Respawn possibly surprising their fan-base with the introduction of not one but two brand new Legends in Season 2, it must all be taken with a grain of salt, since nothing has been officially confirmed or announced. Even if Crypto is not released as a playable character during the second season, considering that there is a lot more info out there about him than any other unreleased Legend, it could be that Respawn have him lined up for Season 3.

  • Apex Legends pro Mendo destroys teamers in solo mode with epic troll – Dexerto

Apex Legends pro Mendo destroys teamers in solo mode with epic troll The Apex Legends community has been tormented by teamers ever since the Solos limited time mode launched, but Team Liquid pro Lucas ‘Mendo‘ Håkansson wasn’t having any of them in his game. After long last, Respawn Entertainment finally integrated a Solo mode for their battle royale on August 13. While players have been jumping in to capture glory in the Apex Games by their own skills, there’s been a portion of the player base scheming to take away wins by launching into the LTM with a friend. The problem has grown so out of hand that the Apex Legends devs put in a report feature specifically to weed out the teamers, but there’s still tons of players that get away with it. Instead of falling victim to them, players like Mendo can easily shut down teamers as soon as they crop up. While he managed to do it again in his August 24 stream, he sent two players packing with a vicious lasting remark. “These are the guys that spend their days getting fucked,” Mendo said after uncovering and quickly dispatching of two teamers. “And then they go on Reddit and they complain about the R-99. They think muzzle flash is a form of balancing and they actually believe it. They team in Solos to get wins. Those are the guys, right there.” More than anything, Mendo just looked disappointed rather than angry at the Solo teamers. Even though they made it to the top 15 in the match, the teamers were nestled in the corner of a building at the edge of the zone. It didn’t seem like they were interested in taking a straight fight, seeing as Mendo was chasing a Caustic while making tons of noise in the process. But instead of coming out to engage on Mendo and the fleeing Caustic, it seemed they were content on just letting the players pass through until the Liquid pro sniffed them out. Teaming in Solo Apex Legends matches is starting to grow, but it’s hilarious to see players like Mendo taking care of them as the appear.

  • Apex Legends pro Mendo baffled at Heal spam bug – Dexerto

Apex Legends pro Mendo baffled at Heal spam bug Respawn Entertainment / Roger Perez ArtStationApex Legends players have been noticing a growing list of bugs in the popular battle royal, and Lucas ‘Mendokusaii’ Håkansson was dumbfounded at the persistence of an annoying Heal glitch. Respawn Entertainment’s Season 2 of Apex Legends has revitalized the game for its enormous fan base. Even though the hype for the next chapter of the Apex Games was high, constant issues and bugs have been deterring the playability for the battle royale. While the developers have been making huge strides in taming all of the issues found in their game, it seems like new bugs are cropping up just as old ones get patched out. During his Apex Predator ranked match, Mendo and his squad were making their way through the zone. Obviously, when a team is navigating outside of the ring there needs to be a tight balance of moving into the zone and healing from its constant damage. Well Mendo had just popped a Syringe to heal back up some, and was getting ready to lay down a Zipline Gun to help his teammates. But it didn’t go exactly as planned. In trying to place his Zipline, the game kept interrupting his ult by switching over to the Syringe and it started to take its toll on Mendo’s nerves. “I didn’t click tha-,” Mendo said in confusion. “I didn’t click that! I DIDN’T ! I did not click the fucking Heal button! Hello!!” Mendo was instantly incensed at the bug, immediately noting afterward that he “hates this fucking game” as his teammate can be heard laughing at the streamer’s predicament. In the midst of the bug, Mendo’s teammate was able to catch up to him while Pathfinder was trying to sort out its Zipline/Syringe fiasco. He later joked that if the same issue had happened to Twitch star shroud, then the Respawn Entertainment devs would fix the issue right up: “That’s not okay, if that happened to shroud they would hotfix it right now, dude.” Mendo ultimately regained his ability to set up his Zipline Gun without a hitch, but the bug’s appearance might attract some eyes from the Apex Legends devs.

  • Apex Legends melee exploit returns with Horizon dealing major damage – Dexerto

Apex Legends melee exploit returns with Horizon dealing major damage Respawn/EAApex Legends’ melee exploit is back and as frustrating as ever, with players dealing close to 100 damage with a few quick strikes. Since Apex Legends released, there have been a few annoying glitches and exploits that have ruined games and moments for players. Supply drops have spawned outside the map, players have gotten wins despite being in the circle, and the game has had to deal with hackers as well. On top of that, there have also been multiple melee exploits. These exploits, which were meant to be fixed a few seasons ago, allow players to string together melee strikes to deal close to 100 damage, which can be deadly in the early game or if you’ve got no shield and are rotating. The problem was initially uncovered a few months after the game released, with players canceling their ultimate abilities mid-melee attack to deal extra damage. Read More: Apex Legends voice actors for all characters – As noted, it was meant to have been fixed in Apex Legends Season 5, but Reddit user Xyno_Slane pointed out that they’d fallen victim to it during a recent game on Olympus. Just like before, the player using the exploit was able to look like a dastardly villain from a kung fu movie – dishing out kicks of fury with Horizon. As the Redditor had no shield protection left, they were incredibly vulnerable and taken down in a few strikes. Some Redditors noted that they’ve also fallen victim to the problem recently as well, with Horizon being the many culprit. Other players pointed out that, seeing as the problem was addressed in Season 5, and Horizon was added afterwards, Respawn might have missed something that allows the Scottish astrophysicist to pull off the exploit. It remains to be seen if that’s the case, but it does seem plausible. So, we’ll just have to wait and see if Respawn does anything to address it moving forward.

  • Apex Legends already teased Titanfall 2 villain Ash back in Season 4 – Dexerto

Apex Legends already teased Titanfall 2 villain Ash back in Season 4 Respawn EntertainmentFour months ago, the Apex Legends developers promised a “pleasant surprise” for Titanfall 2 fans coming in Season 5. As it turns out, however, there may have already been a surprise debut hidden in early Season 4 for eagle-eyed fans. The hype machine surrounding Ash’s potential debut in Respawn’s popular battle royale has already hit top gear, after a new clue in the Broken Ghost quests seemed to point to the evil simulacrum returning to the Outlands in Season 5. She’s already been in Apex Legends for though, as it turns out, and no we don’t mean as the artifact pieces in the recent hunts. The Titanfall 2 villain actually made her debut in the future world of Apex all the way back in Season 4. Fittingly enough, her shorter teaser appearance came at the same time Respawn was in the middle of officially unveiling their new killing machine, Revenant. A cinematic trailer released on June 30 dropped the simulacrum assassin right into Apex’s world in a pretty bloody debut. Revenant wasn’t the only murderous robot to pop up in the teaser, however. As Revenant — who at this stage still believes he’s a man — prepares to hunt down Loba’s parents, he flicks on the newsreels. There, 10 seconds into the teaser, Ash makes her appearance. The former Apex Predator lieutenant’s image appears alongside news that Hammond Robotics, who design the robots, is facing “backlash for its controversial work.” Now, there are a few things to note here. Apex Legends takes place 30 years after the fiery conclusion to Titanfall 2, when [spoilers] Ash was killed by Cooper and BT on Typhon. That means she likely isn’t a figurehead for Hammond Robotics — she’s still buried underground after all… for now.[jwplayer dGieJhaz] Instead, it looks like it’s a reused image template from the Titanfall series. In the multiplayer mode, players can equip customizable banners. One is called “Ashes to Ashes,” and depicts Ash directing Blisk’s Apex Predators in battle. It’s the same image that appears on Revenant’s screen in his reveal trailer. This title card on the newsreel doesn’t exactly specify it’s Ash. In fact, Respawn could have just grabbed whatever file marked “simulacrum” they could get their hands on to slap into the TV animation, but that’s not how these devs work. In the build-up to Season 4’s Revenant reveal, they set up an elaborate storyline around Forge as the new Legend. He was then unceremoniously killed off in a cinematic soon after to fans on their toes. There’s also the whole hidden Crypto storyline happening in-game right now. There’s no reason to think they’d get sloppy just for this one specific thing. If they put the Ash image, it wasn’t by accident. The same reasoning applies to the “Ash” word found marked on the latest Broken Ghost quest reward. So, does this mean Ash is coming to Apex? Well, it certainly feels like it, though whether she’ll be a playable character or not is another question entirely. Then there’s what Apex writer Tom Casiello admitted earlier this week. “The end of Season 5 sets up stories for Season 6,” he said. Could that mean Ash plays a bigger role next season following her reconstruction at the end of the Broken Ghost quests? I expect the answer is dependent on what you’re expecting. It’s unexpected if you thought it was going to end differently. But if you guessed how it ends correctly, it’s predictable. 😁 The end of Season 5 sets up our stories for Season 6, and that’s all I’ll say about that. 😈 https://t.co/YBPefBxCME — Tom Casiello (@tommiecas) July 3, 2020 Unfortunately, only time will tell. For now, Apex fans will just have to keep playing through the hunts each week. The next one, called “Air Support,” should give us a few more clues on the ever-evolving story. The final weeks of the Season 5 hunts may confirm Ash’s possible involvement too.
