Apex Legends may take legal action for “serious” hacking and DDoS cases Respawn EntertainmentRespawn has now confirmed they’re willing to take further action beyond a ban against people that perform DDoS attacks on the Apex Legends servers. This includes pursuing legal action against individuals where it is appropriate. Apex Legends is approaching its ninth season and a range of new content is scheduled to be added to the game. From the new Legend Valkyrie to an entirely fresh mode for the title in the form of Arenas, Legacy is going to be one of Respawn’s biggest updates yet. However, new content is all well and good, but just as important to players is the stability of the servers, which in Season 8, fell victim to DDoS attacks. This has become a particularly significant issue in the game’s ranked matches, where some players will do anything to gain an advantage. In an official server QnA on the game’s subreddit, Respawn has provided some interesting information about the actions they’re taking against DDoS attacks and hackers. Respawn confirm they are considering legal action against DDoSers The Apex community has been very vocal about the issues with DDoS attacks in-game, particularly at the higher tiers of the ranked ladder. Respawn previously said they will explore any avenue to curb the problem. A representative at Respawn has shed some light on what the developers are doing to stop this directly. Their strategy involves closing the loopholes that allow these attacks to happen, as well as developing tools that will help them identify who is responsible. “[We’re] improving tools for identifying those launching the attacks (several promising approaches here).” Perhaps more significantly, they’ve confirmed that they’re willing to pursue legal action in cases where it is appropriate. “[We’re] investigating more serious consequences beyond bans… we think legal action may be justifiable in some cases.” It’s obvious Respawn is looking to take a stand against people attempting to crash the game’s servers and the threat of legal action may be enough to deter any attackers from causing more issues. The specific mention of “certain cases” suggests they may have already caught a number of attackers that they’re taking legal action against. If so, this would certainly send a direct message to any players crashing the servers. Let’s hope the developers can build up a defense against these DDoS attacks and identify who is actually performing them. Until these loopholes are closed, players will continue to abuse the system to increase their rank.

Apex Legends may have accidentally revealed next Legend’s name – Dexerto
Apex Legends may have accidentally revealed next Legend’s name Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 13 has kicked off with a surprisingly big bang as Respawn Entertainment may have accidentally leaked a future Legend’s name. The new season, called Saviors, launched on May 10 with a number of spotlight features. Newcastle is the latest character to join the roster, a number of nerfs and buffs have been confirmed for weapons, and a complete rework to Out of Bounds gameplay kicked into gear. Speaking of new Legends, another unreleased fighter has been uncovered in the latest addition of PAK files. Next Apex Legends character possibly leaked On May 10, Newcastle made his debut in the Apex Games. On top of that, Respawn also added a number of files to the game for future Charms that are to be released – one of which had a really interesting file name. According to popular data miner Shrugtal, there was a Charm added for a never-before-seen character called ‘Vantage’. Naturally, the new identity has sent the game’s community into a frenzy. For those who aren’t aware, a PAK file – like this one discovered here – is an archive used by video game developers. These often include different graphics, textures, sounds, and other objects related to features in the game. In this case, the file has been clearly labeled with a name not currently used by a character in Apex Legends, sparking a lot of curiousity as you might expect. Additionally, a second leak shows another file – this time for Vantage’s Holosprays. Players have speculated that it could be the Season 14 Legend leaked early by the developers themselves, though that is not confirmed at the time of writing. For more information on Apex Legends Season 13 – check out the list of weapon changes, patch notes, map changes, and more.

Apex Legends May 27 update nerfs Mastiff – patch notes – Dexerto
Apex Legends May 27 update nerfs Mastiff – patch notes Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment has pushed out a new patch for Apex Legends that nerfs the availability of the infamous Mastiff shotgun while adding a much-needed quality-of-life improvement for Gibraltar. Upon getting added to Apex Legends’ base floor loot, the Mastiff has felt omnipresent and inescapable in most matches. To save their community from the mental anguish of the shotgun’s fat damage, developers have now decreased spawn rates of the gun. Conversely, the popular battle royale has also made a quick QoL fix for Gibraltar, whose ability text had continued to share the wrong information but will now describe the accurate duration of his shield, which lasts 12 seconds. The Mastiff patch is a welcome one, as players complained of finding themselves too frequently abused by the strong gun and the QoL fix is much-needed as players may have been confused into believing their dome shield still lasted the full 18 seconds. In the game’s Season 5 update, the Mastiff shotgun’s power was nerfed and the gun was added to base loot, instead of being one of the rare weapons only found in Care Packages. The developers may have been overeager though, as the reductions to damage per pellet (18 to 13), headshot multiplier (2.0 to 1.25), and fire rare (1.3 to 1.0) were not enough to excuse the gun’s frequency throughout the map. Heads up, Legends! This morning, we pushed through a small fix that addressed the following: 🔸Mastiff spawn rates have been lowered 🔸Gibraltar ability text updated to correctly reflect the new 12s duration on his shield— Apex Legends (@PlayApex) May 27, 2020 While Respawn Entertainment doesn’t typically give exact numbers explaining loot frequency, fans were quick to complain that, while they enjoyed the Mastiff, it was far too common—a sentiment emphasized by the unideal moments when someone is unshielded and quickly killed with one in the early game. This change is an interesting adjustment and caused professional player NiceWigg to wonder if the same spawn-rate nerf could have solved issues with the Peacekeeper. Unlike its counterpart, the Mastiff doesn’t need attachments to reach peak power and is, therefore, more problematic as such an easily-found weapon. The Peacekeeper, meanwhile, needed a Precision Choke to reach the full extents of its devastation—adding to the amount of looting needed to get to that overpowered state. I am wondering how this will feel. I definitely think a peacekeeper lower spawn rate would of been amazing though tbh. — 100T NiceWigg (@NiceWigg) May 27, 2020 Generally, the Apex Legends community has been too preoccupied with Pathfinder’s state to really focus on the Mastiff. But this change should at least be for the better while providing more experience with an intriguing blueprint toward nerfing gun’s spawn rates instead of their base stats in the future.

Apex Legends May 22 update patch notes: Wraith & Seer balancing, more – Dexerto
Apex Legends May 22 update patch notes: Wraith & Seer balancing, more Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment released a minor Apex Legends update to address Legend balancing and adjust the lighting on World’s Edge. Seer and Wraith avoided nerfs in the Apex Season 17 Legend balancing update, cementing their position as top choices. We ranked Seer as S-tier Legend due to his incredible power for tracking enemies and impressive ability to disrupt engagements. Meanwhile, Wraith has consistently been one of the game’s best Legends since the release of Apex Legends, but the latest seasonal update caused a few issues. Players labeled the fan-favorite character as “completely bugged” after a visual glitch broke Wraith’s finisher. This added to a growing list of hiccups plaguing Wraith this season, including shooting while knocked, smuggling guns in Fight Night, and other visual glitches. Respawn heard the complaints and provided a response. Apex Legends May 22 patch notes Here are the full May 22 patch notes. Wraith can no longer use weapons while knocked – Brightness on World’s Edge has been adjusted – Seer can no longer track through Dark Veil with his ultimate (the team is reviewing other abilities as well) – Catalyst’s Ultimate ability raises a defense wall. Players can still shoot and use their abilities through it, but Dark Veil slows Legends and temporarily blinds them. Seer’s Ultimate, Exhibit creates a sphere that reveals the location of enemies moving quickly or firing their weapons within. The latest update prevents Seer from being able to track enemies through Dark Veil with Exhibit. A community member asked: “Can we also take a look at a fix for Wraith being able to shoot in fight night?” Pathfinder’s Fight Night is an oval amphitheatre with a boxing ring at its center. Entering the ring will prevent any player from using their weapons and any of their abilities. A glitch allowed Wraith to use an enemy while in the boxing ring. Respawn responded: “A fix is in the works for this one!” We will provide an update when the developers address other Wraith issues.

Apex Legends match turns into chaos after map doesn’t load for anyone – Dexerto
Apex Legends match turns into chaos after map doesn’t load for anyone EAApex Legends Season 4 has introduced plenty of new content to the game, but with this update came some major bugs, such as one that didn’t load the ground for the entire lobby. As players drop in for a chance to play with Revenant, they are doing so with the expectation that the map will load, and they’ll actually be able to experience the character properly. However, these hopes flew out the window during one round as the ground completely failed to load, with all 60 players falling to the bottom of the map. From there, it became a battle of attrition as players didn’t have weapons to speak of, but wanted to survive as long as possible so they could come away with a win. Reddit user “Rockslider00” captured this moment playing out as the game became a glitched mess. Viewers got to see the entire squad drop to the bottom of the map, where they can spot a variety of colors as everyone in the abyss scrambled to stay alive. Players did end up meleeing each other, which seems like it was a difficult feat to accomplish, considering player models could cover the entire screen thanks to the all the bugs. Players pointed out the map was Kings’ Canyon, which could have been the source of the issues, since the map isn’t actually in the game anymore. This may have caused the game to bug out and fail to spawn anything in – but it’s really anyone’s guess as to what actually happened. At the very least, a hilarious moment came out of the video, and someone managed to pick up an easy win. Unfortunately, it wasn’t Rockslider, as the Redditor explained they died from the storm because they were slingshotted to the edge of the map. For the time being, it’s not looking like this glitch is widespread, so it’s not something that should be worried about too much as players continue to grind through Season 4.

Apex Legends match turns into chaos after no weapons or items spawn in – Dexerto
Apex Legends match turns into chaos after no weapons or items spawn in What happens when an Apex Legends match starts without any weapons or items spawning in? Chaos would be a good word to describe it. As with every other battle royale game, weapons and items are a crucially important and fundamental aspect of Apex Legends, giving players the tools they need to try and be the last one standing. Thus, when a match is glitched in a manner where nothing spawns in for the players to use, there whole concept and structure of the game crumbles into bedlam. This is exactly happened in a recently played match, which was recorded and posted on Reddit by user ‘garyspurr‘ on July 28. “Not a single item spawned,” he wrote on Reddit. “Game turned into a full out royale rumble match!” The match started, as usual, with the players descending down onto the map, after which the customary scurrying of players began as they ran around looking for loot. However, as the video shows, a loot chest was opened to reveal nothing but emptiness inside, as, for some reason, there were no weapons, heal items, ammo, or anything at all on the entire map. As more players began to realize that they were in a glitched simulation, their fight-or-flight instincts kicked in, realizing that they either had to kill, or be killed. As a result, a sort-of royal rumble began, as everyone rushed around trying to get knocks and eliminations using melee attacks, and if possible, their Legends’ abilities. Glitches continue to be a huge issue in Apex Legends While the glitch shown in the video above may have had comical results, not every issue in Apex Legends has been able to be met with a smile and a laugh. Lately, players have been frustrated with a series of error codes that have seriously hampered their gameplay experiences, including a new one called code:gnut. Sure, the developers at Respawn Entertainment can’t patch every bug, glitch, or exploit overnight, but they need to start showing a lot more progress if they are to satisfy their vast player-base.

Apex Legends marketplace could solve Heirloom and loot box issues – Dexerto
Apex Legends marketplace could solve Heirloom and loot box issues Apex Legends’ Heirlooms are the most sought after items in the game, but what happens if you get one that you can’t rock in the Apex Games? Here’s a savvy solution. Respawn Entertainment has done the unthinkable in less than a year. After creating a battle royale which rivaled Fortnite, it has gone from strength-to-strength in recent times — with Season 3 being its most successful to-date. While Apex Legends boasts fast-paced gameplay and a fluid movement system, it’s the game’s character cosmetics and associated loot that often steal the spotlight. Having released four Heirloom sets thus far, there is one problem that is driving fans around the bend. Just imagine… You open your umpteenth Apex Pack and see a fiery red color bursting out of the Loot Tick, only to find that it’s Lifeline’s Shock Batons that take center stage, but you run Wraith as your main. Of course, this is still a fantastic addition to anyone’s collection. But it just takes away from the whole experience, when you’ll never really rock them inside World’s Edge. Well, a savvy Apex Legends fan has come up with a very simple concept to perk up the downhearted. Reposted on the Apex Legends subreddit, one fan brought light to an idea that previously went under the radar. The crux of it is simple: introduce a function that allows players to trade-in their ‘unwanted’ Heirloom for one that’s more favored. In exchange for a trade, players will also lose either up to 100,000 Legends or 1000 Apex Coins (depending on preference). While on the surface, this appears to be a canny workaround on the issue, it could take away from the rarity of Heirlooms altogether. For example, it is no secret that Wraith and Pathfinder are the most popular characters in the game. By that logic, everyone will be trading their Shock Batons or Raven’s Bite for Wraith’s Kunair or Pathfinder’s Boxing Gloves. The net effect will be a reduced rarity for the latter, which takes away from the whole concept of Heirlooms. So what can we do to solve the ‘issue’ at hand? A trading system could indeed be the answer, but structured like a marketplace of sorts. Drawing parallels to CS:GO’s much-enjoyed trading system might prove beneficial here. That way, players could negotiate trades between their peers, without taking away from the value of each Heirloom respectively. Of course, this system could be capitalized on to trade all kinds of cosmetics and loot. This would also solve the issue of countries such as Belgium being unable to open Apex Packs (i.e., they could save Legends Tokens/Apex Coins to spend/trade with on a marketplace). Despite the above system holding some potential value, Respawn would have to implement a sophisticated framework to support it. Perhaps a bit much too soon, considering that the game hasn’t even been out a year at the time of writing.

Respawn gives update on Apex Legends frame rate, Legend hitboxes, and audio issues – Dexerto
Respawn gives update on Apex Legends frame rate, Legend hitboxes, and audio issues Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players got a look into what the developers have in mind for upcoming patches to fix burgeoning problems affecting the game in the March 27 Respawn Check in. Among others issues in King’s Canyon, Respawn Entertainment are going to target even more hitbox errors that have been widely reported, audio problems ranging from distortion to flout out drops, and a whole lot more. While the devs have been making strides into fixing most of the problems in the game, it seems like some solutions still elude them for the time being. Frame rate Cap Apex Legends allowed players to get up to 300 frames with a simple workaround. However, the developers noticed a bug that forced those players to still play with the default 144 frames. The team behind Apex is now looking to come up with a solution targeted to release with the next patch to resolve the issue. Hitboxes The devs confirmed that there is still an underlying problem with some Legends’ arms and upper bodies. They are seeing that hits can sometimes seem like they connect but the inflicted damage doesn’t always go through. For the community to help with a fix, the Respawn team stressed to players to report and share clips if the problem pops up in their games. Audio Issues Respawn is aware of the “audio dropouts” that some players have been experiencing. The issue will sometimes cause some sounds throughout the game to be partially or completely missing. Thankfully the developers have been made privy to the issues around enemy footsteps either being too quiet or completely silent in close proximity. Although the company gave some troubleshooting tips that players can perform on their end to improve audio performance, they’re still looking to resolve the matter. Game Crashes The devs also offered some insights into the many game crashes the PC community has been experiencing. While they’ve made long strides into eliminating the problems, it doesn’t look like all issues have been resolved. While the crashes have also been affecting console players, Respawn is planning to include “improvements to overall stability in an upcoming client patch.” To get the full briefing on the coming changes, check out the Check In below. Respawn Check in: 3.27 Remember, every week the resting bonus for Legends will increase by 25K. As of today the total resting bonus you can earn for each Legend is 50K. Next week will be 75K and so on and will cap at 250K. FRAME RATE CAPPED TO 144 ON PC In the last patch we made an update with the intent to cap frames at 300 if players bypassed the default 144 frames per second. This introduced a bug that capped frames to 144 regardless if players uncapped it or not. In the next patch we’ll be fixing this so the cap is 300 as intended. LEGEND HITBOXES Thank you to everyone that’s been catching and reporting this. After investigating on our end, we were able to confirm that there is an issue regarding hitboxes around Legend arms and upper bodies. This was why you would see a shot appear to connect but not always register damage. We have made some small improvements server side but are still investigating other examples players are sharing and doing tests to repro and address. Please continue to report and share clips if you can. General system specs, including the particular console you are on (PS4, PS4 Pro, XB1, XB1S, XB1X) or the PC and hard drive used, if on PC. – Analysis of other things going on during the game at the time – was there generally poor performance from server lag, bad frame rate, etc. – Video if you happen to be able to capture it in a non-performance hindering way. – This has been promising to see but we know we’re not out of the woods yet. We’ve been investigating the remaining causes for crashing we’re seeing and planning to add better communication from the game with error messages and tips to help players troubleshoot issues in the event of a PC crash in a future update. We are aware of reported crashes on consoles as well and will be including improvements to overall stability in an upcoming client patch. I can’t say specific dates yet but we’ll let you folks know when we can and will include patch notes for it.

Apex Legends March 22 update addresses crashing on PC – Patch notes – Dexerto
Apex Legends March 22 update addresses crashing on PC – Patch notes Respawn is looking to sort out problems with crashing on PC in Apex Legends and has now released a patch addressing those problems. Apex Legends has a bit of a crashing problem on PC but Respawn is looking to iron that out with a patch. A new patch was pushed through on March 19 and it was designed to capture information when the game crashes so the team is better able to identify the problems. The information was essential as the team was able to push another patch on March 22 that helped fix that issue and now Respawn things everything is solved. If you’re on PC the patch is now live and it should address most of the concerns you had with crashing. It does require a client restart so you’ll have to get that out of the way first. Apex Legends’ crashing problems are well documented on PC, almost as well as the hacking problems. There are a variety of troubleshooting options you can go through to stop this problem but with the new update, it seems like you’ll no longer have to go through the trouble of doing that. Respawn picked a good time to push this patch through as Season 1 is still in its infancy and you want to make sure all of the major game-breaking bugs are worked out before players buckle down for new content. While there are still bugs to go through and fix, it looks like a major one is now out of the way with this update. Expect to see more fixes in an upcoming update, whenever that may be. You can read the full post from Respawn about the update below: March 22 Apex Legends Patch Notes PC Patch Live Now: An Update on PC Crashes Hey! In the patch we released on Tuesday, we included a way to better capture information when Apex crashes on PC. The game should now write an apex_crash.txt file to your My Documents folder when it crashes. Since then we got many submissions of apex_crash.txt directly from our fans, searching the Internet, and from the forums. The good news is they have been giving us great info and revealed a few crash locations, and we discovered that many of these are related. One of the issues appeared to be caused by one part of the program changing memory used by another part. These bugs are the most difficult to find! As an analogy, imagine you’ve got thousands of robots tasked with painting different parts of an entire city, where each robot is given one of a dozen colors of paint. Occasionally, somebody complains that one of the rooms that was supposed to be red has some blue on the wall, but they don’t tell you which room. Based on that information, your job is to go fix it! This is why it’s been difficult to quickly identify, reproduce, fix, and test fixes. But the apex_crash.txt files we got from players had a lot of information that we needed. In our analogy, those clues let our engineering team figure out which building had the bug, and a way to temporarily make the robots in that building a million times more likely to interfere with each other. We had never seen the crash in any of our internal testing before, but now we could finally reproduce the bug and that meant we could find it and fix it! To finish our analogy, our robots didn’t interfere even in this temporary test case, and we knew the bug was fixed. A patch for PC is live now that includes a fix that when we tested locally, improved stability and you will need to update the client to grab it. This is progress, but we don’t expect this patch to be the end all solution for all the crashes and we still have work to do. There are still some issues we’re seeing from the reports that we’re continuing to investigate to understand and address: Other crashes we’ve seen are related to out-of-memory issues. This is much less common. It’s not clear yet whether this is a memory leak in Apex or an improperly configured PC. – There may be other, rarer crashes still to fix that we just haven’t identified yet. –

Apex Legends: All 15 map locations revealed for new Season 3 planet – Dexerto
Apex Legends: All 15 map locations revealed for new Season 3 planet Respawn EntertainmentWith the launch of Apex Legends Season 3: Meltdown only a day away, all of the locations that will be present on the new ‘World’s Edge’ map have finally been revealed. The upcoming launch of the third season of Apex Legends has many players understandably hyped, especially with Respawn Entertainment confirming that it will include a brand new map called World’s Edge. The map, which was first revealed in a special trailer on September 27, is located on a new planet called Talos, which is where “molten heat and chemical ice collide.” Thanks to the EA Game Changers network, certain content creators were invited to Los Angeles, CA to test out Season 3 prior to launch, and YouTuber ‘Lord Spink‘ has revealed a full look at the new map and all of its locations. There are 15 named points-of-interest spread throughout the terrain, and below, you can find a full layout of the map and a brief description of each location. The Dome: A big lava pit located on the bottom right corner of the map, The Dome is surrounded by numerous research facilities that each can be accessed and looted. The hot lava underneath the structures does cause five points of damage per second. – Sorting Factory: A large factory located towards the bottom half of the map which contains large expanses of open areas. – The Tree: A simple location with some lootable structures. The main attraction is the large leaf that is planted at the center, which is very likely a reference to the frustrating code:leaf issue that plagued Apex Legends in Seasons 1 and 2. – Thermal Station: A large area located in the bottom left corner of the map which is “flat” and also contains a lot of open areas. The surrounding lake of lava is dangerous, so players should use the provided Ziplines to enter/exit. – The Train Yard: A very central location, the Train Yard features large metal structures that players can climb up to and get a good vantage point. – Lava Fissure: A set of structures perched on top of another lake of lava which contains a lot of Ziplines that players can use to get across from the underneath openings. There is also an unnamed location just next to Lava Fissure that resembles the Pit from King’s Canyon. – Drill Site: The Drill Site is a large location located between two hills which houses several tall, yellow drills that stand high above the map. – Skyhook: A large, metropolis-style POI that features a lot of tall commercial and residential towers all surrounding a gigantic spire that stands in the middle. – Refinery: A smaller location towards the top right corner of the map which houses crates that players can climb up on. – The Epicenter: A central location that is filled with frozen chemical ice surrounding a large yellow machine that dominates most of the POI. – Overlook: Located on the eastern edge of the map, Overlook is composed of several structures suspended over the waters that roar underneath. – Capitol City: Another city-themed POI that is full of skyscrapers, streets, and other structures that would normally be found in a major city. However, the main difference between this location and Skyhook is that a lot of it has been damaged from the Epicenter’s chemical explosion. – The Geyser: A very tropical-looking location full of bright blue ponds and lush green terrain. There are also springs of water vapor that gush out of the ground that players can use to propel themselves into the air. – You can check out each of these locations in the video below, courtesy of YouTuber Lord Spink The brand new World’s Edge map will be available once Season 3: Meltdown launches in Apex Legends on October 1, 2019.

Horrible Apex Legends map glitch leaves Skadoodle speechless – Dexerto
Horrible Apex Legends map glitch leaves Skadoodle speechless Former Cloud9 pro Tyler ‘Apex Legends that can leave some players irreversibly stranded under the map. Even though people have been loving Apex Legends for all that the game does well, there are still an enormous amount of bugs that plague everything from the game’s audio to invisible walls and a lot more. While Respawn Entertainment have been hard at work to rectify all of the glitches that can be found in a typical match, there are some bugs that are leaving players guessing as to why simple hotfixes have yet to be implemented. There’s been a ton of glitches found throughout the Apex Legends map. That was the case during Skadoodle’s September 18 stream when a hole in the Apex Legends map created a bizarre setting for the final showdown between the last two teams on the server. “Oh my god,” Ska said in astonishment. “This whole part of the map is just open? What is going on in here?” Since his team learned that the final squad was either nestled or trapped down there, they hopped down below to finish the game. Ska was near-silent as he faced off against the final foes under the map. But after securing the kill, his reaction basically mirrors every other Apex Legends player who first discovered the strange omission in map design. “What is this dude? They just left the whole map open to go underground?” the streamer said. “What am I watching? Hello? Respawn??” The glitch made for a strange Champion screen. Prior to finding “the gap in the map,” his team was searching everywhere within the zone to uncover where the last team might be. Though the glitch has been reported by a few players, Ska is convinced that it didn’t always used to be that way. Making him even more perplexed as to why it even exists. “No dude, that used to be solid for sure,” he said in reply to his Twitch chat. “I’ve been back there, plenty of times. It’s never been like that. Maybe they forgot to patch it up or something. I don’t know.” Whether the Apex Legends devs have something planned for that spot in the future or if it’s just another bug, the company might want to plug up the hole soon.

Apex Legends map glitch lets you land outside of World’s Edge – Dexerto
Apex Legends map glitch lets you land outside of World’s Edge Respawn EntertainmentA newly discovered Apex Legends glitch allows players to land (and even hang out) on the rocks that are outside of the base World’s Edge map. World’s Edge is a big map – about 150 percent the size of Apex Legends’ first map, King’s Canyon. But some aren’t satisfied with the map’s size and, as demonstrated by Redditor ‘AloeSnazzy,’ are willing to test its outmost extents of travel. While King’s Canyon already had a significant 15 points of interest, World’s Edge ups the ante with a full 19. Bordered by rocky terrain, the combat perimeter is generally constrained to various buildings and some spicy lava settings. Typically, when you land on a mountaintop that is too elevated, or too far away to be intended for gameplay, the game notifies you that you are “not in the battle zone” and deploys a countdown timer. At the end of that countdown timer, you are kicked from the match. This makes sense, as developers don’t want players using unfair vantage points in a battle royale predicated on equal footing. However, ‘AloeSnazzy’ has discovered that some mountaintops, far outside the traditional battle zone, are accessible without being kicked—an obvious glitch in the void. By deploying past the top of the map, westward of Survey Camp and directly north of Skyhook, a player can casually descend atop the bordering topography. Although it’s an interesting glitch, there fortunately seems to be no perk to landing out there, as you are immediately trapped upon doing so. Given its distance, you can’t jump to reach legal land or even, as Pathfinder, zipline to safety. There are only two real uses for this glitch: 1) You can land there and, circle permitting, survive for long enough to earn some easy placement points. 2) You can troll your friends as squad leader and show off some nifty, fairly useless map awareness. It’s not clear that any circle patterns really make this bug particularly helpful, but it’s still bound to get patched out by Respawn Entertainment. Since it should be a relatively simple fix, be sure to troll your trusting squadmates sooner rather than later if you are so inclined.

Hidden Apex Legends map deciphered from popular weapon skin – Dexerto
Hidden Apex Legends map deciphered from popular weapon skin Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends devs have tons in store for their fan base, but a map discovered from a popular line of skins is making a lot of people wonder how the game could expand in the future. The hit title initially swept the battle royale scene when it launched on February 4, but was quickly marred by fans for a serious lack of new content that soured the experience for many players. Respawn Entertainment has started giving their players tons of renewed hope for the game with the highly anticipated launch of Season 2 on the way, but it looks like the devs have a lot more real estate to play with outside of Kings Canyon. In a Reddit post, user ‘FrozenFroh’ pieced together the datamined images of the Navigator skin and gave one of the most complete looks for Solace, the homeworld of both Gibraltar and Mirage as well as the Apex Games. Looking at the map, Kings Canyon is just a sliver of territory compared to the overall image which features muddled images of beasts that are believed to be the Leviathans, Flyers and Prowlers. Moreover, the marking that seems to be denoting the location of Kings Canyon on the map appears twice in the full image, with the second missing the crown. This could be a subtle way for Respawn to hint at a future location for the Apex Games, but there still isn’t anything to confirm that. As players know, there are Leviathans prominently featured in a match’s backdrop, and the map reflects that with a symbol for the beast close by. However, there is also an image of Titanfall’s Prowler which looks to be a bit too close to comfort to Kings Canyon. What’s coming in Season 2 of Apex Legends? While a new map and the presence of Prowlers haven’t been confirmed by the Respawn developers, there are tons of new content that we know are right around the corner. Players already got a good glimpse at upcoming legend Wattson, and while there have been tons of leaks leading up to its reveal, the L-Star weapon will also be making its debut in Season 2. Hopefully FrozenFroh’s map will turn out to be a precursor for bigger and better things to come for Apex Legends, but time will tell how the devs decide to expand their title with future updates.

“Honest” Apex Legends map puts a comical spin on King’s Canyon – Dexerto
“Honest” Apex Legends map puts a comical spin on King’s Canyon Respawn EntertainmentAn “honest map” of Apex Legends has been resonating with a ton of players because of its hilarious accuracy of frustrating, troll or unfortunate trends that people tend to experience throughout King’s Canyon. While the Apex Games gives everyone a fair chance to win when they first drop to the map, there are some places in the battlefield that are more treacherous than others. Sometimes places on the map is notorious for having terrible loot or being chaotic because its a popular landing destination which can make the game a whole lot less fun, and sometimes impossible, to play. In a Reddit thread, user ‘MSbabu2’ relabeled the map in Apex Legends that did away with their official names, and gave them new tags that’s more representative of what to expect should a team want to land there. Some of the map’s highlights include “Your jumpmaster needs some Mental help” if they want to land on Bridges, as well as “Either So OP or So bad. Never (in between)” for Market. It looks like a lot of people on the site were able to relate, as the post has been gilded with over 10,000 upvotes at the time of writing as tons of players chimed in with their own accounts that back up the map. “There isn’t enough loot [at Bridges] for a full squad,” user ‘BulliesKickAss’ responded to someone asking why Bridges was given that description. “Plus, depending on the flight path, once you leave, everywhere close is looted. Not to mention that building that’s down in the river is a fucking death trap every time.” https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/c4ob1c/our_teams_map_some_of_our_names_for_spots/It looks like making custom-labelled maps of King’s Canyon are become a meme trend among the Apex community. More players are coming up with their takes on the layout with hysterical similarities between a few descriptions that some people might want to know before jumping into King’s Canyon. https://www.reddit.com/r/apexlegends/comments/c4qh0j/my_apex_map_from_experience/As the game continues to evolve and the developers add more elements, it’ll be interesting how these community-created maps end up changing in the future. Season 2 of Apex Legends coming soon The Apex Legends map could see some changes when the highly anticipated second season gets released, which has been confirmed to include a brand new Legend named Wattson, as well as the debut of the L-STAR weapon. Season 2 is expected to launch on July 2, 2019, and will include a new battle pass for players to enjoy.

Apex Legends map bug leaves players endlessly falling from the dropship – Dexerto
Apex Legends map bug leaves players endlessly falling from the dropship A bug in Apex Legends has players falling to no end after launching from the dropship, though it seems like they’re going nowhere fast. There have been numerous instances of World’s Edge not loading in its entirety throughout Season 3. That bug alone already ruins games, seeing as lobbies full of players have games shut down before they even begin. But in some instances, it seems like the effects of multiple bugs can stack on each other, leading to a unique gameplay experience for some players. Putting a spotlight on this effect is Reddit user ‘Modern169’ who captured their game of Apex Legends, which seemed to be more in the realm of an endless flight simulator rather than a battle royale. The first thing people might notice is that World’s Edge has failed to load, making it another instance of a match where players have nowhere to land. Even though there have been games where the ground appears to be missing, players have still managed to at least walk on something to punch their way to a Champion screen. But it looks like the lobby full of players didn’t have that chance, seeing as they were perpetually gliding through nothing throughout the entirety of the game. The clip obviously drew confusion from other players who were wondering if the glitch happened mid-game to which Modern replied, “Nope, the map just never loaded. We all got dropped into that abyss.” Instead of a dark and endless abyss, however, the players were greeted with a vibrant, albeit disorientating display of images from the game. The Pathfinder on screen can be seen flying through a sea of colorful contrails as they weave around the bugged sky. In the video, it’s already the fourth round with seven squads remaining, but players were still falling as the altitude registered by the game was at an astonishing -1641 meters. As with other glitched games, every player model seemed to freeze and stutter with every pass – giving the player one of the trippiest views of the Apex Games yet. Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale is no stranger to bugged games, but it looks like these glitches might be a priority for the devs to try and patch out.

Apex Legends pro Mande grills Vantage’s sniper hitbox: “It’s so bad” – Dexerto
Apex Legends pro Mande grills Vantage’s sniper hitbox: “It’s so bad” YouTube: SCARZ / Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends pro Mikkel ‘Mande’ Hestbek has grilled new release Vantage — but not for the traditional reasons. The sniper aficionado pointed out how “bad” the Legend’s Sniper’s Mark hitbox is, seemingly striking targets despite visibly missing. Vantage has been a contentious point in the Apex Legends community since her release in Season 14. While she has a dedicated group of fans, many believe she’s underpowered with pros outright calling her “one of the worst characters” in the game. However there are some advantages to her kit, namely to most her Sniper’s Mark ultimate. Being able to tag enemies and increase damage taken for a period of time while outlining them is a huge plus. Another is seemingly how easy the bullets are to hit. Apex Legends pro Mande would love Vantage on paper. The SCARZ player is known for his sniper prowess, picking up any long-ranged gun and putting it to work. However even he has his gripes with Vantage — but not for the usual reasons. Instead she believes her sniper is too easy to use. In a fight with a Vantage, he got double-tapped with her Sniper’s Mark and quickly taken down, leading to a slight rant about her ultimate. “This guy is playing a f**king sh*t Legend dude,” he said. “He has the bullet size of Antarctica. I swear to God, Vantage is made for people who don’t know how to snipe with a real sniper. They need a f**king escalator. It’s so bad.” After the game finished, he showed a few clips of how players could hit shots with Vantage’s Sniper’s Mark despite seemingly missing or lagging behind the target. “The bullets are so big, dude,” gesturing a huge circle with his hands. “Have you seen the clips? What is that? He’s not even f**king aiming. It’s insane, it’s sh*t dude.” While Vantage seems so up his alley, Mande believes she’s “too clunky” and wouldn’t actually use her in competitive or even ranked: “Her Q feels so slow and when you double jump and you lose all your momentum, I don’t like it. I’m just not a fan, I don’t know.” However he does have an affinity for Sniper’s Mark regardless, dreaming of his own Pathfinder rework where he could get the movement mechanics of the iconic robot plus the Sniper buff Vantage provides. “Imagine Pathfinder with Vantage ult. Pathfinder with 25-second cooldown on [his Grapple] that starts when he Q’s something, Vantage ult, and Horizon passive. I would do things for that.”

Apex Legends makes Loba’s bracelet even more useless after new update – Dexerto
Apex Legends makes Loba’s bracelet even more useless after new update RespawnNot only does Loba’s tactical enable her to travel vast distances in a blink of an eye, but it also keeps her out of harm’s way. Well, that’s when it actually works. Apex Legends’ Loba has constantly had problems with her teleporting tactical, but now it seems things have gotten even worse. Despite Respawn fixing this tactical multiple times before, the issue continues to run rampant. This comes after devs recently fixed a glitch where Loba could teleport into objects and get herself stuck. Loba’s broken bracelet is obviously incredibly frustrating for the Apex community, especially since it is a problem that has persisted since Season 5. After all, getting into a firefight or late-game ring and finding your tactical doesn’t actually work can prove fatal. Now it seems Loba’s tactical is performing even worse in Season 8 after a recent update, as many players are now finding areas of the map where it completely fails to work. Respawn has previously had to fix areas of World’s Edge and Olympus where the bracelet failed to work. However, it now seems many Loba players are reporting problems on Kings Canyon. Read More: Apex Legends Chaos Theory event – Twitter user @Taisheen is one of many Loba player who has encountered problems. Posting on Twitter, the player captures the moment when they try to teleport onto the roof over at Capacity. Taisheen throws out Lobas tactical numerous times, but not a single one of her bracelet throws works. Instead, the player is simply forced to accept defeat and leave the position. It’s obviously an extremely frustrating issue and one that can have a detrimental effect on the Legend’s win rate and play rate. Apex Legends may not be as buggy as Warzone, but it is no stranger to its fair share of glitches. After all, both Octane’s Jump Pad and Loba’s bracelet have continuously proved troublesome. Hopefully, Respawn finds a fix soon or the Translocating Thief won’t be teleporting anywhere soon. For more Apex Legends news, check out our hub to get the latest updates.

Apex Legends makes ‘game changing’ update to respawning in Season 19 – Dexerto
Apex Legends makes ‘game changing’ update to respawning in Season 19 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends devs have now confirmed some huge buffs to the gear players respawn with in the main Battle Royale mode that weren’t included in the Season 19 patch notes. Though Apex Legends is more generous than most other BRs with how players can bring their teammates back from the grave (especially if you have a support Legend on your team) getting that teammate geared up and ready to fight can be a real challenge. In the game’s final circles, it isn’t exactly uncommon for teams to actively choose not to bring their allies back at risk of getting pounced by other squads lying in wait. However, respawned players are getting some huge buffs in Apex Legends Season 19, buffs that weren’t included in the patch notes but have been instead confirmed by Apex Legends devs on Twitter. Apex Legends devs confirm major Season 19 respawn buffs Apex Legends has had a number of changes to its underlying systems over the years. There was a point in time where EVO shields didn’t exist at all and players spawned in with no armor or helmet. It can be easy to forget just how many small changes have been made to Apex as the years have gone on, quality of life adjustments that, while subtle, have been overall improvements. Season 19’s change to the respawn system will not go down as one of those changes. No, this is a massive overhaul, one that will have immediate and very noticeable changes to how you play Apex Legends. As first reported by esports.gg, players will now respawn with the armor they died with, as well as any weapons they died with other than Care Package weapons (albeit with no attachments) and two stacks of ammo. These changes are nowhere to be found in the official patch notes. The response from players has been widely positive so far, with many calling it a “game changer” that could incentivize players to stick around after death rather than quitting the match. An Apex Legends dev has since confirmed these changes despite them not being present in the official Season 19 patch notes. And, while casual players are excited, it remains to be seen what high level players think about such a drastic change.

Apex Legends makes big changes to care package weapons in Season 7 – Dexerto
Apex Legends makes big changes to care package weapons in Season 7 Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment have confirmed that they’re making some pretty big changes in regards to the care package weapons in Apex Legends Season 7, as the R-99 is set to return to floor loot. [jwplayer Do3m9qnp] With each new season, Respawn Entertainment brings plenty of changes to Apex Legends. New characters are introduced, existing ones are changed with buffs or nerfs, there’s usually a new weapon, skins, and sometimes items. In Season 7, Horizon is joining the Apex Games, and we’ve already had a whole host of legend changes confirmed too – as well as a handful of skins being revealed for a few different characters. On the new weapons front, though, confirmed details have been lacking. There have been rumors about new weapons, and even a new item type, but the biggest change looks to be coming to the care package weapons. Apex Legends Season 7 supply drop weapons Care package weapons are rotated each season, meaning that some fan favorites become hard to find. This includes the R-99, which was regarded as one of the top weapons in Apex in the last few seasons. However, when it comes to Season 7, the powerful light ammo SMG is coming out of the care packages and returning to being floor loot – and potentially the Replicator through crafting too. This was confirmed by Apex Legends dev Chad Grenier in a pre Season 7 media briefing, who noted that the Prowler should be taking its place. In #ApexLegends Season 7, R-99 returns to floor loot. Prowler takes its place in Care Packages. pic.twitter.com/5Djplh3JV1 — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) October 30, 2020 As for changes to the R-99, there’s no telling if it’ll be nerfed significantly in Season 7, or if it’ll return to its previous form where it was pretty strong anyway. We’ll just have to wait until the patch notes are revealed when the new Season update releases on November 4 and bring Horizon, Olympus, and a whole host of new content with it as well.

Apex Legends make big pledge to fix server issues for Season 11 – Dexerto
Apex Legends make big pledge to fix server issues for Season 11 Respawn EntertainmentRespawn issued a statement addressing the game’s longstanding server issues during our hands-on preview of Season 11. Apex Legends suffered from a number of high-profile server issues throughout Season 10, but the game’s developers have set their eyes towards fixing those problems once and for all. During a round of early testing in Season 11, Respawn was upfront about these problems and their intent to fix them, promising to keep working away until they’re gone: “We hear you, and the community, and we’re working tirelessly to resolve these issues.” Check out the rest of their statement and how they’re specifically addressing these problems ahead of Escape. Respawn Entertainment promises to fix server problems in Apex Legends “We’ve been doubling down on our efforts to resolve the connections issues and intermittent lag that some players may experience at different times and regions around the world,” Respawn said. “We’ve been expanding our dedicated server teams at Respawn, creating new ways for us to see, predict, and respond to potential bandwidth issues, and implementing new ways that we can make the back end of a technically massive game like Apex require less bandwidth.” This commitment to internal health is a big step forward for Apex Legends. While the game has been receiving constant updates, including Patch 1.82 which began the path to fixing these server issues, these steps haven’t been enough for many players. From fans constantly lambasting of the soon-to-be-improved Arenas mode to threats of boycotting the game entirely, it’s clear that tensions in the Apex community have reached an all-time high. Ahead of Season 11, Respawn gave this statement about Apex Legends server issues: pic.twitter.com/OOlWkHW7W3 — Alpha Intel (@alphaINTEL) October 28, 2021 While these improvements look like the start of a good thing, much of the fan perception will undoubtedly hinge on the success of release day for Season 11. Apex suffered its longest server issues ever throughout the launch week of Emergence, and fans are still wary of that happening again. One Twitter user summed the situation up nicely when addressing the prospects of another troubled launch: “Ugh this is my biggest fear! I really want to play this on release!” Whether or not these fixes are enough to see a smooth rollout remains to be seen, but we’ll find out for sure when Season 11 debuts on November 2.

Apex Legends player uncovers major issue with Triple Take, Longbow, and more – Dexerto
Apex Legends player uncovers major issue with Triple Take, Longbow, and more Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player found numerous inconsistencies with the bullet travel times on the G7 Scout, Triple Take, Longbow and Kraber that can have wild implications for a player’s shot. Apex Legends exploded onto the scene garnering over 50 million players in under two months, but the game has run into some problems along its meteoric rise. In a Reddit post, ‘TinyBabyBread’ revealed that not every shot from the popular rifles make it to their target at the same time. The redditor was originally looking for the difference in bullet drop from rifle to rifle when he noticed that there were small irregularities despite firing from the same distance. “I wanted to know how bullet drop varied between snipers so I did some testing in the training area,” TinyBabyBread said. “While I was analyzing the footage, I noticed that bullet travel time on the same weapon kept changing despite the constant target distance…” Though TinyBabyBread didn’t originally think his findings were that big of a deal, other commenters quickly changed his perspective, saying: “[Deviations in bullet travel time] seems really noticeable when we’re talking about trying to lead targets. When a target is so small and moving, those milliseconds make a big difference. ” It’s a good thing TinyBabyBread decided to publish his findings even though he didn’t think much of them, because one Respawn developer was quick to respond to the data. “We (Respawn) saw this post and are taking it seriously,” RespawnSean said. “It’s definitely not intended behavior for projectiles from the same weapon to take a variable amount of time to hit the same target.” Shot inconsistencies like these along with the recent lag experienced throughout the game could have big implications on a player’s shot, making it a huge relief that Respawn is looking for ways to fix the problem.

Apex Legends: Major changes announced for Season 3 Ranked Play – Dexerto
Apex Legends: Major changes announced for Season 3 Ranked Play Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment have revealed some of the major changes they’ve made to the Ranked Leagues ahead of Season 3: Meltdown in Apex Legends. Respawn revealed the first official look at the highly anticipated Season 3 of Apex Legends on September 19, giving players what they had been desperately waiting for quite a while now. A large part of that announcement was Ranked play, which has had several aspects of it overhauled from the Ranked Leagues Series 1 held during the currently ongoing Season 2. The developers have acknowledged that their first attempt had both its good sides and bad, and that there were some things that needed improving prior to the launch of Meltdown. That said, here are some of the major changes made between Series 1 and 2 of the Ranked Leagues. Soft Reset Once Series 2 starts at the launch of Season 3, players will see their ranked position undergo a “soft reset,” which will drop them 1.5 Tiers down from their current position. This allows players who achieved a high rank during Series 1 to not have to spend all that time to get back to that position. Scoring Change RP rewards will now be multiplied by 10, so players will now be given 10, 15, 20 RP instead of one and two. This gives Respawn “flexibility” in offering RP rewards. Scoring System Here is what the new scoring system looks like for Series 2 of Ranked Leagues. Event RP Cost As a result of the scoring change, the RP costs to enter ranked matches have also been adjusted according to the following breakdown: Bronze matches are still free – Silver matches cost 12RP – Gold matches cost 24RP – Platinum matches cost 36RP – Diamond matches cost 48RP – Apex Predator matches cost 60RP – Assists and Multipliers Assists are being added to the kill count score, and will register when dealing damage to an enemy player within five seconds prior to them being knocked. Players can not earn assists if they end up getting credit for the kill, or if the downed opponent gets revived. Rewards With the launch of Series 2, players will also receive the cosmetic rewards they unlocked from their performance in Series 1. Those who achieved Platinum or higher will receive a gun charm indicating their highest level, while Diamond and Apex Predator players will get a custom dive trail, also for their highest rank reached. All players will receive a special badge marked with the highest level they managed to achieve. Penalties Penalties will be enabled for the start of Series 2, after they were disabled in Season 1 “to be overly cautious on false positives.” This means that players who leave a match midway and abandon their teammates will be hit with a matchmaking penalty in bot the Ranked and casual playlists, so they will be unable to queue in to a new match for a select amount of time. That time will continue to increase for players who accrue several abandonment penalties. What’s staying the same from Series 1 Aside from the changes listed above, Respawn have opted to keep the remaining facets of Series 1 the same for Series 2. This includes Tiers and Divisions, keep the level requirement for ranked play at 10, and party matchmaking will be based on the highest ranked player. You can check out the full Ranked Leagues Series 2 post from Respawn HERE. Make sure to check out everything there is to know about Season 3: Meltdown, including the official trailer, new weapon, Crypto details and more.

Apex Legends: Major change made to Legendary Backpacks in Season 3 – Dexerto
Apex Legends: Major change made to Legendary Backpacks in Season 3 Season 3 of Apex Legends is finally drawing near, and with that, plenty of drastic gameplay overhauls. One such change that has snuck under the radar alters Legendary Backpacks quite significantly. Information surrounding Season 3 of Apex Legends has finally been trickling out as we near the October 1 release date. From an overview of the entire map, to new weapon attachments and legendary loot rooms, there’s been plenty of minor reveals. Having had select YouTuber’s release full gameplay videos from the brand new season on September 30, the Apex Legends community has been discovering new intel that seemingly went unannounced. In a gameplay video released by ‘jackfrags,’ a significant item change was spotted thanks to Reddit user ‘ShiroiNeko22.’ Towards the end of his latest video, the YouTuber very quickly glosses over a Legendary Backpack after downing an enemy. The new perk now reads as: “You revive squadmates with bonus shields and health.” The new changes can be seen at the 9:24 mark for mobile users. In previous seasons the Legendary Backpack was a highly sought after piece of equipment as it cut in half the time it took to use healing items. Rather than nerfing or slightly adjusting the original effect, it seems that developers Respawn Entertainment decided to uproot the gear entirely and apply a new perk. Reviving squadmates in the heat of battle is always a risky play, but with the overhauled effect of the Legendary Backpack, such daring tactics are now incentivized. It remains unclear just how significant the ‘bonus’ health and shields upon revival will actually be, however it is worth keeping in mind that the faster heal perk will now be found on the Legendary body shield instead. Recently we learned that there will be 15 points-of-interest across the new map ‘World’s Edge’ in Season 3 of Apex Legends. Also announced was the addition of Vaults scattered throughout the new terrain, each enclosing a stash of Epic and Legendary loot only accessible with the keys dropped from Cargo Bots.

Apex Legends leaks reveal ‘Magic Witch’ event legend and weapon skins Respawn EntertainmentFresh Apex Legends leaks have revealed weapon and Legend skins for the upcoming ‘Magic Witch’ in-game event, expected to release at some point in Season 15. Ambitious and immersive in-game events have become the norm for Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends. Check out the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on Amazon Every new season of content promises an heirloom collection event and, with the ongoing Season 15 chalked to be the longest season for some time, we expect a plethora of content to keep players engaged and the BR’s life cycle ticking over. For example, we already have some details on the upcoming Wintertide event, which will begin on 6 December and is expected to bring the popular Winter Express LTM back. Now, we have new details on a ‘Magic Witch’ event, expected to drop at some point later in Season 15. It’s not clear exactly how it will fit alongside the Wintertide event, but we do now have leaks regarding the skins players can expect. Apex Legends ‘Magic Witch’ skins leaked The leaks come by way of reputable Apex data miner Senos on Twitter, who revealed a host of weapon skin images that will come alongside the ‘Magic Witch’ event. There will be epic animated weapon skins for a host of the game’s guns, including the RE45, Sentinel, Devotion, and Rampage. They also revealed the legends that will be getting epic skins as part of the “thematic event”, although no images were shared at this point. At the moment, we expect Ash, Lifeline, Rampart, and Valkyrie to receive epic skins during the course of the event. As is the case with all leaks, these details are subject to change and will remain unconfirmed until made official by Respawn and EA. Apex Legends Maggie trailer confirms leaked Laser Sights attachment exists – Dexerto
Apex Legends Maggie trailer confirms leaked Laser Sights attachment exists Respawn EntertainmentMad Maggie’s Stories from the Outlands episode has arrived and with it came the confirmation of a big weapon attachment leak that has been circulating the Apex Legends community since early January. The push toward Apex Legends Season 12 is here and that means that new content is rolling out in order to get fans hooked back in. In the biggest reveal so far, we now know that Mad Maggie will be joining the Apex games as punishment for her crimes against The Syndicate, but that’s not the only confirmation the new Legend’s teaser brought us. Maggie teaser confirms new weapon attachment In the trailer we clearly see Maggie being held at gunpoint by Syndicate soldiers. While that’s nothing out of the norm, the weapons those troops are using do have something special attached to them. Bright green laser sights are trained across the unhinged woman’s body, a less-than-subtle confirmation of leaks from KralRindo, who speculated these sights, along with a few other attachments could be coming in Season 12. The original leak suggested that this new sight would be equippable for several different guns, including but not limited to the P2020, RE45, Wingman, Volt SMG, Prowler, and R99. While this has now been all but confirmed, players are left to speculate about the fate of the other attachments that were revealed around the same time, including the Explosive Lobber for the L-Star and the Kinetic Loader for the Volt, Peacekeeper, and Alternator. There is still a little room for error regarding the Laser Sights, as all of the SFTOs come with the warning that they are not meant to reflect the gameplay of Apex Legends. Even if all of these attachments are in the game files right now, that doesn’t mean they’re guaranteed to be debuting in Season 12. The Apex devs are always adding things and tweaking them around, meaning it could still be a while before these items hit the loot pool if they ever do.

Unlike a lot of Epics, this cosmetic contains a huge amount of extra details and matches the Lunar New Year theme perfectly. Wattson’s Lunar New Year CE skin pic.twitter.com/77qRzdLUKG — SWL (@SomeoneWhoLeaks) December 29, 2022 Next up is a black, gold, and pink R99 skin with floral patterns that are guaranteed to stand out in the Outlands. Just like the Wattson skin, the design for the lethal SMG is extremely detailed and well worth picking up if you’re a fan of the weapon. So, there you have it, those are the skins that we’re expecting to come on January 10 with the Lunar New Year Collection Event.

Apex Legends LTM playlist overhaul is perfect change for Season 12 – Dexerto
Apex Legends LTM playlist overhaul is perfect change for Season 12 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players are pleading to the devs to add a simple limited-time mode playlist to the game that would bring some variety to the battle royale. Limited-time modes have come and gone throughout the last two few years of Apex Legends, with everything from a third-person mode, a constantly closing circle, and even all-gold loot matches. However, players haven’t seen a new LTM in the game since April 2021, leaving many to be dissatisfied. As a result, players are pleading to the devs to at least add a very simple playlist to Apex Legends that rotates previous LTM modes every week. A Reddit thread on January 9 by Apex Legends fan MyExScars pleaded to the devs to add an LTM playlist and posted a screenshot of a YouTube comment explaining why it would be a great addition. “They have so many great LTMs already made, just add a playlist section with one random LTM rotating every week,” said the commenter. “They don’t even need to be new, just rotate existing ones and it would be so much fun. Armed and Dangerous, Deja Loot, 3rd person – they would all be fun.” Players were, of course, onboard and loved the idea, but weren’t hopeful it’ll come to fruition: “It would be that simple but they just won’t do it,” said one player. However, others were concerned players would get bored of the LTMs in a month. “Considering the amount of hate I’ve seen about them not making a new LTM this season this would go well for about a month and then it’ll be dead – just like Arena’s,” said HeilJada. Apex Legends players are constantly demanding changes to the game. With Season 12 not far away, players could see an LTM playlist feature that would be a refreshing addition to the game.

Apex Legends LTM idea would add quads with a chaotic twist – Dexerto
Apex Legends LTM idea would add quads with a chaotic twist Respawn EntertainmentWhile you can battle it out in Apex Legends in either a duo or trio, one fan has created an idea for a limited-time mode (LTM) that would be the perfect way to introduce quads. As Apex Legends continues to go from strength to strength and its roster of quirky characters expands exponentially, players are flocking to the Outlands to see whether or not they can claim the title of Champion. At the moment, you can dive into the fray in either a duo or a trio, meaning that there is no solo-queue option or four and five-man stacks allowed. With Control giving players a taste of group action in Season 12, many have been asking for a quads mode to mix things up. The idea has captured many a fan’s imagination, with one even devising a chaotic but fun-filled LTM idea that would be the perfect way to introduce quads to Apex Legends. Apex Legends fan creates awesome quads idea Aptly entitled “Quads Fury,” one Apex player has set about integrating the highly-requested feature into the game with their own LTM. Read More: 10 best Bloodhound skins in Apex Legends – “The time has come to add more chaos to the Apex Games,” they write. Their concept focuses around teams of four all diving into the fray, with all the of weapons available as ground loot. Care packages would also contain fully kitted out weapons that range all the way up to Legendary rarity, whilst simultaneously providing all levels of protective gear (helmets, backpacks, and armor). “Looks pretty cool, I’d play it if it launches with an abandon penalty,” comments one excited fan, going on to state “we’d probably see defensive characters shine mostly in this.” “Imagine having to fight a Caustic, Rampart, Wattson, Newcastle camping in a building,” jokes another, while a final response reads “Will probably change how third parties work. Could make fights last longer because there’s a chance the extra person could get a rez off.” Whether or not we see something like this appear in the future remains to be seen, but it’s clear that the community wants a quad system in the near future. Until then, though, we’ll have to cross our fingers and pray that Control comes back soon.

Apex Legends Lost Treasures update patch notes: Crypto event & buffs – Dexerto
Apex Legends Lost Treasures update patch notes: Crypto event & buffs Respawn EntertainmentThe next update in Apex Legends Season 5 is bringing a swarm of new content, starting with the new Lost Treasures Collection Event, changes to almost every Legend, and the long-awaited Town Takeover for Crypto. As explained in the patch notes, these changes will give the battle royale a bit more longevity when it drops June 23 at 8 AM PST / 11 AM EST / 4 PM BST, as it will also implement a revised version of fan-favorite Limited Time Mode (LTM) Armed and Dangerous, with Evo armor only. The Respawn Entertainment team are also giving Mirage players the heirloom they’ve been waiting for with a specially made trophy, perfect for the Arena’s most ornate Legend. Legend balance updates Almost every Legend has been touched by the balancing team as the devs work to tweak some that have been problematic, and some that need a boost. As such, characters like Revenant are now going to be more disruptive to other Legend’s abilities while Lifeline gets a helping hand to revive downed allies. Lifeline’s tweaks are going to be a point of contention, since technically she’s getting better at healing with D.O.C’s new ability, but at the cost of her Fast Heal passive. Meanwhile, teams holed up in a building with Wattson’s ultimate and electric fence will be in for a rude awakening now that Respawn are making her ability to fortify a position more easily countered. That’s only a fraction of the Legend updates that are coming packaged in Lost Treasures Collection Event update, including a bevy of changes to Wraith’s kit. Zipline changes and Quality of Life updates Players have been using Ziplines in Apex for a ton of creative movement techs in the game, though that’s about to change. The devs are adding a new cooldown to re-grabbing Ziplines which will increase every time a person disconnects and reattaches to the line. Meanwhile, there are now friendly Caustic Trap pings that the community has been asking to implement for quite some time. Although not the color-changing update that some might have hoped for, this will certainly go a long way to differentiating the traps in the middle of a fight. There are myriad updates revolving around different aspects of the battle royale, so don’t forget to get a rundown of the entire patch down below, courtesy of Respawn Entertainment. LOST TREASURE COLLECTION EVENT We’re bringing a ton of exciting changes to the game along with the Lost Treasures Collection Event. In addition to the event, we’ll be making a host of tweaks to various Legend abilities and weapons. Get all the intel here so you’re fully prepared when you drop in. ARMED & DANGEROUS EVOLVED LTM The Armed & Dangerous Limited time mode has evolved. In this LTM, only Shotguns and Snipers are allowed. You’ll also start with a Mozambique and Evo armor. All other armor has been removed from the loot pool. But that’s not all. Respawn beacons will also be removed and all players will start with the Mobile Respawn Beacon in their inventory. MOBILE RESPAWN BEACONS Need to Respawn on the go? Use the new Mobile Respawn Beacons! In the Armed and Dangerous LTM, players will start the match with one in their inventory. Then from the inventory screen, deploy it anywhere on the map and save your fallen teammates. But beware, calling in a Respawn Beacon takes time, giving your enemies time to find you, take you out, and use that Beacon you just deployed. So find that safe spot before you call it in. CRYPTO TOWN TAKEOVER Crypto is taking over and providing some recon to Kings Canyon. Located at the south-east of the map (under Repulsor), lies Crypto’s Map Room. Use his tech to get the location of all Legends on the map and check the screens scattered around the room to see how many enemy squads are nearby. HEIRLOOM – MIRAGE’S TROPHY Isn’t that a handsome guy! Yes, it’s true, your man Mirage is getting his Heirloom! The gorgeous statue is one of a kind (sort of) and will ensure you look good in the arena. LEGEND UPDATES Lifeline Passive Combat Revive now replaces Combat Medic. Deploy D.O.C to revive teammates. D.O.C. will deploy a shield and revive Lifeline’s teammate, leaving Lifeline free to defend or revive someone else. – This fully replaces Lifeline’s old passive, including Fast Heal – – – Combat Revive now replaces Combat Medic. – Tactical Lifeline’s Tactical cooldown is now 45 seconds (was 60 seconds). – – Ultimate Lifeline’s Care Package now contains more items Care Package will contain 3x more small healing items, when it decides to spawn small healing items – Care Package will contain 2x more attachments, when it decides to spawn attachments – – – Lifeline’s Care Package now contains more items – Octane Tactical Upon activation, Stim will remove movement impairing effects. – Stim sprinting speed is increased by 10% – – Ultimate Players can now double jump in mid-air after using Octane’s Launch Pad – Players can change direction easily from the double jump. – – Revenant Tactical Will now cancel: Pathfinder mid-grapple – Wraith mid-Phase Walk attempt (before Phase Walk activates) – – Will now prevent: Mirage cloaked revive – Mirage decoy control activation – Lifeline combat revive – – – Will now cancel: – Ultimate Range removed on Death Totem – – Crypto Tactical Deploying Hack (Crypto’s Drone) now takes 1.5 seconds (from 2.5 seconds) – – Ultimate EMP will now disable Wattson’s Pylons. – – Loba Tactical Burglar’s Best Friend will no longer be intercepted by Watton’s Interception Pylon. – – Ultimate Black Market Boutique (ultimate) will now only pick up 1 stack of ammo (rather than 1 stack + the amount that was required to fill whatever partial stack you had in your inventory). – Ultimate Accelerants now give 20% ult charge (up from 17.5%). – – Mirage Tactical You can now hold the tactical button, and release to auto-control decoys – Decoys will now say lines when shot – – Passive When cloaked, Mirage’s holo emitters will be visible to players that are less than 5 meters away – – Skydive Will now create decoys for the entire squad when skydiving when still diving with your squad. – – Gibraltar Fast Heal granted inside the Dome Shield, slowed down: 25% faster -> 15% faster – Caustic Enemies can cancel Caustic’s barrel by shooting it before it is fully inflated. – Wattson The intent of these changes is to create openings where enemies can breach Wattson positions. It is still possible for Wattson players to hold a position with a trophy indefinitely, but that should come at the cost of using Ultimate Accelerants. Wattson’s Pylons now last for 90 seconds – Wattson can now have up to 3 pylons out at a time – Wattson can stack 2 Ultimate accelerants per inventory slot – Wraith Increasing Wraith’s tactical cooldown has proven to be ineffective at curbing her exceedingly high win rate and kill rate. These changes are meant to disincentivize Wraith players from using Phase Walk as a “get out of jail free” card, and move it into more of a repositioning and scouting ability. Phase Walk Phase Walk now takes 1.25 seconds to enable (was 0.4 seconds). During this time, Wraith will receive a 20% move slow This does not affect Phase Walk while placing a Phase Portal – – While in Phase Walk, Wraith now gets a 30% move speed boost – While in Phase Walk, Wraith can now see other players while in the Void. – Phase Walk now lasts 4 seconds (from 3 seconds) – Phase walk cooldown is now down to 25 (from 35 seconds) – – Phase Walk now takes 1.25 seconds to enable (was 0.4 seconds). During this time, Wraith will receive a 20% move slow – Phase Tunnel Decreased distance for portal placement by 25%. – – WEAPONS / LOOT Ziplines A cooldown will be applied to re-grabbing Ziplines without touching the ground – The cooldown will increase with each time a player disconnects and re-grabs the zipline – The cooldown will reset when the player touches the ground – HAVOC Rifle Greatly increased horizontal recoil in the initial shots of a burst – Decreased magazine size from 32 to 28. – Sentinel Rechamber time 1.75 -> 1.6 – Energize duration 90 -> 120 – QUALITY OF LIFE Teammates can now ping a friendly Caustic Trap. – New health bar for when users are in Revenant’s Shadow form. – Map rotation times are now even between Kings Canyon and World’s Edge – BUG FIXES General Fixed an issue with some railing not being climbable. – Fixed an issue with being unable to mute squad before the Legend select. – Removed more exploitable spots against Prowlers in Bloodhound TT – Fixed issues with loot spawning in unreachable places in both Kings Canyon and Worlds Edge. – Fixed an issue with players being able to move at walk speed when downed. – Fixed an issue with Prowlers not killing Mirage Decoys in one swipe. – Fixed issues with Ninja controller layout and deathboxes. – Fixed an issue with the “You got a treasure pack” message appearing after each match. – Crypto Fixed an issue with Crypto’s Drone flying without input if the user started to sprint by use of double tap to sprint option. – Lifeline Fixed an issue with Lifeline able to drop her care package on a Quest Artifact location, preventing users from picking up the artifact. – Fixed an issue with Lifeline’s Drone getting stuck in the air after collision with an Octane Jump pad. – Loba Fixed issues with Loba being able to get to out of bounds areas using Burglar’s Best Friend (tactical). – Fixed an issue with Loba’s Burglar’s Best Friend (Tactical) being blocked by invisible collision at the entrance of Firing Range. – Fixed an issue with Loba’s Black Market Boutique (Ultimate) not showing the correct range. – Loba’s Black Market Boutique (Ultimate) now shows correct ammo count for care package weapons. – Fixed an issue with Loba’s tactical not functioning on certain surfaces. You should now be able to recreate the trailer moment! – Loba’s Ult is now refunded if it gets caught between two doors. – Mirage Fixed an issue with Mirage’s decoy not being able to ping correctly under certain conditions. – Fixed an issue with Mirage Decoy’s not being able to crouch walk through certain areas. – Fixed an issue with Mirage Decoys playing the fall animation when the player is falling. – Fixed an issue where Mirage can still control his decoy after being silenced by Revenant. – Octane Fixed an issue with Octane bounce pads “deleting” other Legends abilities. – Fixed an issue with Octane’s Jump Pads disappearing when other legend’s tactical interacts with it. – Fixed an issue with Octane’s Jump pads falling through the floor on hover tanks – Pathfinder Fixed an issue with Pathfinder’s Grapple not allowing running if a failed deployed occurred. – Fixed an audio issue with Survey Beacons being too loud when used. – Revenant Fixed an issue with Revenant’s death totem not being rendered from over 200 meters. – Fixed an issue with Revenant’s audio for his tactical cutting off half way through its playback. – Wraith Fixed an issue with not being able to heal after getting knocked and going through a Wraith portal. –

Apex Legends Lost Treasures update makes Loba’s teleport useless – Dexerto
Apex Legends Lost Treasures update makes Loba’s teleport useless Respawn/EAApex Legends players are still running into a strange bug with Loba’s Burglar’s Best Friend ability that is preventing them from teleporting across the map with a throw of her bracelet, and it seems to have only gotten worse with the Lost Treasure update. After plenty of hype and speculation, Loba was introduced to Apex Legends with the start of season five – Fortune’s Favor. The Translocating Thief is pretty difficult to the current crop of characters given that she can teleport across the map and steal loot from considerable distances away Now, while many may have been expecting her to shake up the meta and become a much-used character, up to now, that hasn’t happened. Though, it might just be because of bugs with her abilities – most notably, the teleport. Burglar’s Best Friend, otherwise just known as Loba’s bracelet, allows the player to toss the bracelet out and quickly teleport towards it – be it because they want to fight or escape a firefight. Though, as Reddit user KingDududu pointed out, there have been further problems following the Lost Treasures Collection Event update. According to them, the bracelet won’t work as intended on World’s Edge. As she can’t teleport anywhere, this bug is leaving Loba pretty stranded and somewhat useless when it comes to games. However, it isn’t just a one-time problem. Other players have encountered the same issue on both World’s Edge and Kings Canyon as the bracelet just returns back to Loba’s wrist without conducting a teleport. One Redditor noted that this has happened to them “several times.” Another commenter, 1xSCZ, added: that “she can’t teleport consistently anymore after the Lost Treasure update.” Prior to the launch of Lost Treasures, Loba’s teleport could be countered with Wattson’s Interception Pylon, but that is no longer the case – so that doesn’t explain the issue. We’ll just have to wait and see as to whether or not Respawn address it. As of writing, the problem hasn’t been jotted down on their Trello board of bugs, so it’s unknown if the devs are aware of it or not.

Apex Legends loot guide – which locations have the best loot on the map – Dexerto
Apex Legends loot guide – which locations have the best loot on the map Finding and gearing up with the best loot in Apex Legends will often make a difference between winning and losing, and there’s a great tool that shows you where to find the best loot on the map. The way loot distribution works in the game is different locations have different amounts of each tier of loot (high, mid, and low). When players traverse into a certain named area on the map, they will be greeted with an on-screen message that lets them know what kind of loot can be found there. In order to help fellow players, a devoted Apex Legends fan has created an interactive online map that indicates which locations have the best chances of containing the highest quality loot. According to the map, the best locations to land at for loot are Artillery, Relay, Swamps, Repulsor, Water Treatment, Thunderdome, Airbase, Runoff, The Pit, and Bunker. Now, players aren’t guaranteed to find the best loot here, but each of these locations have at least an 86% chance of having high tier loot, with some going as high as 92% This is because landing at such locations presents a greater risk of being on the opposite end of the safe zone, while landing in the middle means you’re always relatively close to the next circle. The interactive map, of course, also shows which locations have higher chances of featuring mid and low tier loot. To check out these locations and all of their loot percentages, feel free to visit the interactive Apex Legends Map website. The manner with which the website has been built and operates is quite remarkable, as the information presented is based on community feedback. Players who visit locations and make note of the loot quality can then go to the website and input that for the specific location. As time progresses and more players contribute their feedback, the data presented will become more a precise and reliable.

Bizarre Apex Legends glitch turns loot ball into deadly menace – Dexerto
Bizarre Apex Legends glitch turns loot ball into deadly menace Electronic ArtsAn Apex Legends player learned the hard way that a seemingly harmless loot ball can turn into an explosive menace at a moment’s notice. The are a variety of ways in which to collect loot in Apex Legends. Of course, opening Supply Crates counts among the most popular options, of course. But shooting open loot balls for their hidden treasures has become a fun pastime for many an Apex player, too. It seems loot balls themselves have grown tired of the status quo, however. A video making the rounds on the official Apex Legends subreddit may convince some people to second-guess their looting tendencies. Loot ball surprisingly turns deadly during Apex Legends match After shooting a loot ball out of the sky, Apex player and Reddit user bigdealmo rushed forward to retrieve their spoils. Gameplay footage of the brief moment shows the player didn’t walk away with any loot. In fact, they didn’t get to walk away at all. The loot ball exploded as soon as the user melee attacked it. Bigdealmo joked in a Reddit post that the usually docile ball is now deadlier than a Kraber sniper rifle. That certainly seems to be the case, evidenced by the video below: One knowledgeable person in the Reddit thread said the glitch may be situational. Apparently, “if you melee it open while the bridge is moving, you will die.” This isn’t the first time someone’s encountered the loot ball bug in Apex Legends, either. Another Redditor stumbled across a similar issue earlier this year. Unfortunately, this particular issue could be one that will not receive a proper fix anytime soon.

Respawn locks in more Rampart buffs for early Apex Legends Season 8 – Dexerto
Respawn locks in more Rampart buffs for early Apex Legends Season 8 Respawn EntertainmentRespawn has tipped Rampart for even more Apex Legends buffs in an early Season 8 update — as soon as patch 8.0, if the devs can bed down the changes — as the turret-loving defender continues to struggle in the battle royale’s fast-paced meta. [jwplayer VEi3mnK7] Rampart has struggled to find a home in Apex Legends since her Season 6 release, and has slipped towards the bottom of the meta heading into 2021. This problem is partly to do with her “locked-in” style of play. The defensive Legend is based around deploying walls, cover, and her powerful mini-gun “Sheila” to control areas and dominate opponents through superior firepower. In theory, that works well. In practice, however, Apex Legends is such a fast game that Rampart often gets left in the dust; an issue that has forced Respawn to take another look at their Season 6 builder, and her iconic amped walls. Rampart gets more Amped Wall buffs Respawn is mainly focusing on the struggling defender’s ability to “react quickly” in battles and firefights. They want to give her a platform to help her squad, no matter how long they have to prepare. The buff will see 45 health added to Rampart’s walls while they’re being built. This update to the defender’s tactical “should be in 8.0,” Klein confirmed on Reddit, but things may still be swapped as Respawn continues to test the buffs. This change, while seemingly small, aims to bring her in line with other protective Legends like tanky Gibraltar, who can use his shields reactively. This means he can have a greater influence on skirmishes and moving firefights in the battle royale. “I believe there’s still too much delay in the ability for her to use it reactively. I also think reactive vs setup isn’t a black and white question,” Klein admitted. Read More: Fuse’s explosive Ultimate Ability revealed – There may be another buff packaged in patch 8.0 as well, the Apex dev conceded, though it’s far less set in stone: Rampart “could do with a little power closer to the reactive side of that spectrum,” but that change is still being worked on. Respawn worried Amped Walls will be “trump card” Rampart’s building walls will also be handed a quality of life update in the upcoming 8.0 update as well. This will relate to the “ally player paradigm” — how her walls interact with incoming fire midway through construction. “[Her walls] will stop bullets, except sniper bullets, which will pass through, just like they do with ally players,” he explained. Once the wall is fully built, it will then behave normally. This is to avoid the wall becoming a “trump card” against long-ranged snipers, and still allowing outplay potential for opponents that have taken the time to set up a strong vantage point, or have caught out mispositioned Rampart players. “This is so, in case I am wrong and Rampart players can reactively plop down a wall when someone with a Kraber looks at them, the wall doesn’t [cancel that out].” As mentioned by Klein, these Rampart buffs are expected to be shipped in the patch 8.0 update. Apex Legends Season 8 — and that new patch — are right around the corner; Dexerto expects the update to drop around February 4, to mark the title’s second anniversary. These changes will come alongside a possible Wattson rework. Wraith, Horizon, and Revenant nerfs have also been penciled in. Catch up on all the changes coming in the next Apex Legends update right here.

Apex Legends devs “considering” permanent loot changes after Locked & Loaded mode – Dexerto
Apex Legends devs “considering” permanent loot changes after Locked & Loaded mode Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends developers Respawn Entertainment are considering making the Locked & Loaded loot changes permanent thanks to how well-received the adjusted mode was by fans. Locked & Loaded took place during the Anniversary Collection event throughout February 2021, removing grey or Level 1 loot from the loot pool and spawning players in with it instead. Rather than dropping in with no weapon, you’d automatically have a helmet, shield, Mozambique, optic and syringes, somewhat similar to how battle royale competitor Warzone is. That said, while it was only supposed to be a limited time event, players loved it — and now it might become permanent. After one fan took to Reddit to commend Locked & Loaded and ask Respawn to consider making it the standard, they were provided with a little more hope than they might have expected. A lead game designer at Respawn, Daniel Klein, commented in response, giving fans a glimmer of hope. “We are… considering [it],” he said. “Carefully. No conclusion has been reached yet. I’m personally a little worried about shortening the loot loop by removing grey loot… other than that though, it seems like all upside.” Of course, the dev was met with a multitude of responses, overwhelmingly in favor of the change, but some were against it. Some players said that going back to the base game was difficult, even if it was only for a couple of games. Others, though, suggested that it might be best to start with the grey loot but no weapon. This is a sentiment echoed by TSM’s Viss and ImperialHal, who want the change to be made permanent, though Hal also believes there should be no weapon off spawn. Get rid the of the Mozam off spawn and I’ll take the mode tbh — ImperialHal (@ImperialHal) February 12, 2021 Obviously, as Klein says, no conclusion has been reached yet. They will likely continue to test how best the Locked & Loaded loot changes could work in the regular battle royale, but it definitely seems as though players are keen to make this change permanent.

Apex Legends lobby glitch lets you steal Legends from teammates – Dexerto
Apex Legends lobby glitch lets you steal Legends from teammates Respawn EntertainmentA new Apex Legends glitch appears to let players to steal their teammate’s Legend picks, even after the choices have been locked in. When it comes to Apex Legends, there are few things as frustrating as solo queuing only to have your top two Legend picks taken away from you. While the Legend pool is fairly balanced, everyone has their favorites. Lifeline, Wraith and Pathfinder have been immensely popular since the game’s launch, but each player has their personal preference. Teams are limited to one of each character though, meaning you have to work around your teammates’ picks. However, a glitch has surfaced that allows players to steal the picks of their teammates. A video shows a player taking Lifeline in their team’s third pick, despite the unknown ally already having chosen the Legend before them. “Caught this live today,” the player said, “my friend was able to steal our random’s legend by choosing Lifeline.” Even after the second player on the team selects Lifeline, the final player is able to choose the Combat Medic. This changes the team’s picks, giving the random player Wattson instead. There were a few theories regarding the issue, with one player explaining: “it’s a glitch where if you cancel right as it locks in your choice it’ll say waiting for turn and the next person can take your character. It’s happened to me a couple times.” Another suggested, “maybe it was the opposite, maybe the other teammate picked Wattson at the last second and it hadn’t registered for you guys yet”. Whether a fix is on its way for the issue remains to be seen, but stripping players of their Legend choices definitely won’t be intentional.

Apex Legends Loba Prestige skin leaked ahead of a possible Season 19 arrival – Dexerto
Apex Legends Loba Prestige skin leaked ahead of a possible Season 19 arrival Respawn EntertainmentApex Legend’s Prestige skin pool may be expanding, with a leak pointing to Loba being next to receive a mythic. Season 19 of Apex Legends is underway, with Conduit, Legend balancing, and a thick battle pass full of new rewards to explore. That doesn’t even begin to mention the brand-new changes to the Ranked mode and Storm Point looking to freshen up the experience. Of course, this is just the tip of the iceberg, as the middle of the season usually brings a limited-time event to keep fans engaged. It seems some fans are already turning towards the midseason content drop. If this new leak proves true, it points towards Loba getting a new set of threads, specifically, a Prestige skin. Apex Legends Loba Prestige skin leaked Since their introduction in Season 12, Prestige skins have been highly coveted and some of Apex Legend’s most unique skin sets. The Mythic tier item unlocks a rare skin set, customizable via three tiers of challenges, a unique finisher, and a skydive trail. Currently, there are only six Prestige skins in Apex Legends. They can only be earned via completing a Collection Event or by spending 150 Heirloom shards. Shared to Twitter, Psamatheh discovered Loba’s Prestige skin. If true, this skin would likely be released around the middle of the season via a Collection Event. Artwork aside, they also went on to share more footage of Prestige skin, which included the skydive trail and finisher with sound. Prestige skins have certainly been a topic of discussion since their implementation. Fans have either loved or hated them, and Loba’s Prestige skin is causing quite a split amongst players. We’ll see how the skin unfolds, but for now, be sure to enjoy Season 19.

Apex Legends Loba Heirloom revealed: War Fan ‘Garra de Alanza’ – Dexerto
Apex Legends Loba Heirloom revealed: War Fan ‘Garra de Alanza’ Respawn EntertainmentLoba is the next Apex Legends character to get an Heirloom, coming in the Season 14 Collection Event, Beast of Prey. As leaks revealed, she will be getting her very own ‘war fan’. Apex Legends Heirlooms are the most highly coveted cosmetics in the game. Not only do they look incredibly cool, but they also come with unique animations and voice lines. Despite being released in Season 5, Loba has had to wait 10 seasons to finally get her own. This is obviously huge news for both Loba mains and Heirloom collectors. Leakers previously suggested that her Heirloom would be a fan of some kind, and they were correct. Loba finally gets Apex Legends Heirloom Finally, in the Season 14 Collection Event, Beast of Prey, Loba’s Heirloom will be available. The Heirloom is a fan – but not your ordinary fan just for cooling down on a hot day. Equipped with sharp blades, this fan, called ‘Garra de Alanza’ (Alanza’s Claw) originally belonged to Loba’s mother, as the name implies. Respawn themselves dropped a lot of hints that this would be Loba’s Heirloom, prior to release, something that is fairly rare for them to do. Revealed in comics, the history of this fan, originally belonging to her mother, was revealed. This particular Heirloom design is certainly befitting of a stealthy thief, especially one as cunning as Loba. How to get Loba’s Heirloom in Apex Legends If you’re eager to get your hands on Loba’s Heirloom yourself, you have two options. The first is to ‘complete’ the collection in the Beast of Prey event, by unlocking all of the cosmetic items. This method likely won’t be cheap, but might be cheaper than the alternative. The second option is to wait until the collection event is over, when the Heirloom will be placed in the Mythic Shop, and cost 150 Heirloom shards. If you already have those shards saved up, then you can unlock it instantly. If not, you’ll have to hope to get them by levelling up.

Loba ‘war fan’ heirloom possibly revealed in Apex Legends comic – Dexerto
Loba ‘war fan’ heirloom possibly revealed in Apex Legends comic Apex Legends | TwitterA set of leaks were floating around about Loba’s next interview being a war fan. And now, an official comic featuring Loba has made this heirloom even more likely. Respawn have been slowly but surely working through their wide roster of Legends and giving everyone an heirloom. Some leaks and speculation have led many to believe Loba will be the next Legend to receive an heirloom, and a new Apex Legends comic makes that even more likely. Loba may be getting the next Apex Legends heirloom This comic centers around a fan that used to belong to Loba’s mother, one that she goes to great lengths to get back in her possession. She bails on the gem she originally meant to steal and decides to go for the fan instead, only to get caught in a trap while taking the fan. Along with some introductions to side characters, we also get a quick glimpse at Loba’s childhood and some background on her character. As much as this comic is meant to expand upon Loba as a character, it’s also hard to ignore the fan at the core of the plot after recent leaks. It’s worth mentioning, however, that the leaks in question lead us to believe Loba’s war fan has blades coming out of it, while the fan in the comic does not. If this fan is the next heirloom, then there’s much more to this story. This wouldn’t be the first time an heirloom has given us major insight into a character’s past. For instance, Crypto’s heirloom came with an animation where he takes out a photo of him with his family. As always, leaks and speculation should be taken with a grain of salt. Respawn have yet to confirm Loba’s war fan as the next heirloom, but this comic gives a lot of weight to prior leaks.

Apex Legends Lifeline shield can be used to destroy opponents – Dexerto
Apex Legends Lifeline shield can be used to destroy opponents RespawnA clever Apex Legends player has found a way to use Lifeline’s shield to dominate enemy players in the popular battle royale title. Ajay Che, known as Lifeline, is a Combat Medic who competes in the Apex Games to fund the non-profit organization she works for, Frontier Corps. Many fans have taken a liking to the character due to her backstory, with some even cosplaying as Lifeline to show their appreciation of the Legend. Lifeline’s abilities all focus on helping her teammates, with her D.O.C. Heal Drone actively replenishing the health of her squad, while her ultimate ability calls in a Care Package which can help her team tool up with armor and weapons. Another of Lifeline’s abilities sees a massive shield appear whenever she attempts to revive a down opponent, providing automatic cover for the player and their downed teammate. While the shield is an excellent defensive tool, an Apex Legends player has also found a way to turn it into an offensive weapon, using it to provide cover before bursting out to eliminate opponents. In a video uploaded to the Apex Legends subreddit by iPNow, the player can be seen starting to revive his fallen teammate, before canceling the animation, firing his weapon at an enemy and then restarting the reviving process when opponents start firing back at him. Using this technique, iPNow was able to take down two enemy squads, while also saving his teammates life on both occasions. For this to work, players will need to rely on the fact that one of their teammates has been downed by an opponent, but this handy trick could be the difference between victory and elimination if players are able to use it correctly.

How to master Lifeline in Apex Legends: Abilities, tips & more – Dexerto
How to master Lifeline in Apex Legends: Abilities, tips & more Respawn Entertainment / DexertoLifeline has been a staple support pick since Apex Legends launched. Although she’s easy to use, you can take her to the next level if you master these tips and tricks everyone needs to know. Lifeline has been a powerful meta pick in Apex Legends ever since the game launched back in 2019. As her name suggests, she is often the lifeline of her squad. This is no surprise given she can heal, revive, and supply her teammates with additional goods. However, despite the fact she’s early to learn, she can be deceptively hard to master. Most players don’t use her abilities to their fullest potential, and either play too aggressively or passively. For that reason, we’ve decided to write a quick guide that outlines her abilities and provides some crucial tips that will help you master her in no time. Here’s everything you need to know. How to make use of Lifeline’s abilities Passive: Combat Revive Combat Revive is arguably the most powerful passive ability in the game. The first and most obvious effect is that it sends her drone to revive a teammate, meaning she doesn’t need to stand there while it happens like other legends. She’s free to fight, heal, or loot as she pleases. Read More: The best guns to use in Apex Legends – However, the second effect is that the drone also deploys a directional shield while it happens. The shield is invulnerable and, when angled correctly, will protect the downed player and anyone else standing behind it from bullets. Tactical: D.O.C. Heal Drone Lifeline’s tactical ability also revolves around her drone. But this time, instead of reviving players, it becomes a healing source for the whole squad. It lasts 20 seconds and automatically heals nearby players. The heal ticks are small. But in time, it is often enough to heal everyone to full health, saving tons of syringes and med kits in the process. Ultimate: Care Package Surprisingly, although the Care Package is Lifeline’s Ultimate ability, it’s often considered her weakest. It calls down supplies to the targeted location, which takes 15 seconds to land and contains three high-quality loot pieces. Read More: The best Legends to use in Apex – It’s instrumental when your squad is undergeared or in desperate need of supplies, and it can sometimes give players exactly what they need. Plus, there’s always a chance you’ll receive something legendary. However, it can be a bit hit and miss in terms of quality. Use Combat Revive and D.O.C Heal Drone at the same time The first and most important tip is to use your D.O.C Heal Drone ability immediately after using Combat Revive on a fallen alley. That way, you’ll be able to heal yourself and your teammates from behind the shield and also heal the fallen ally once they’ve been revived. It’s also important to note the shield cannot be rotated while reviving, so be sure to deploy it in the right direction before you start. It’s also not immune to explosives, and players can simply run through it or around it. Plus, if the drone takes too much damage, it will cancel the revival and break the shield. So, always be mindful about that. Use Ultimate Accelerants to give your team better loot more often Lifeline players typically have first dibs on Ultimate Accelerants. It’s not a definitive rule by any means, but Lifeline’s ultimate is the best use for them since her ultimate benefits the team. The more often she uses it, the more loot she’s able to provide. It also takes the longest time to charge. So, it’s a bit of a no-brainer. Don’t hesitate to call dibs on all the Ultimate Accelerants you find and keep them stored in your backpack. Use your Care Package ability to provide additional cover Lifeline’s Care Package gets a bad rap sometimes. When it provides good loot, it’s great. But it’s too chance-based for most player’s liking and generally won’t turn the tide in a heated fight. However, that doesn’t mean it can’t be used in a team fight. Veteran Lifeline players won’t hesitate to call down their Care Package in the middle of a battle for additional cover, especially in open areas. Use revive shields as even more cover during fights If an ally goes down, as a Lifeline, it can more often than not be a blessing in disguise. If you play around the revive shield correctly, you can get even more cover in fights, popping your head in and out to rinse enemies while protecting your ally. You do have to be worried about big pushes, and grenades raining down on you. However, if you can stand your ground, be sure to use your downed allies to your advantage. Don’t forget to drop a health drone afterwards too. So, there you have it, folks. That’s practically everything you need to know about Lifeline and her incredible abilities. All that’s left to do is practice using them correctly. Make sure to follow @TitanfallBlog for all the latest Apex Legends news, guides, and updates.

Apex Legends Lifeline bug is making her D.O.C drone unusable – Dexerto
Apex Legends Lifeline bug is making her D.O.C drone unusable Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have identified an apparent bug with Lifeline’s D.O.C. Heal Drone, inhibiting the medical gadget from doing its job properly. Despite Lifeline’s popularity and high pick-rates, there are seemingly never-ending calls for another buff or rework, in order to keep up with the ever-changing meta in Apex Legends. Buffs have given her access to blue supply bins and a slight rework came in the Lost Treasures event, but some players argue it has not gone far enough. Now, a new bug has emerged that is impeding the efficiency of her D.O.C. drone, much to the frustration of Lifeline mains – and their teammates. Floating Lifeline drone bug On July 11, Redditor ‘malonerz134‘ shared their frustrations with an emergent Lifeline bug, centered on the reworked D.O.C. drone. “Has anybody else been experiencing a lifeline bug where her D.O.C. randomly starts floating upward and eventually becomes too high up to use?” they asked. “I don’t know how to describe it beyond [that], however it’s a pretty frequently occurring bug and I’m not sure if it’s been reported to this sub[reddit] yet.” Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be an isolated incident as many other Apex Legends players responded to say they had been experiencing a similar bug. One player suggested avoiding using the drone on slopes, or standing right under it, but these limitations are almost certainly not intentional, and clearly not working as it should. At the time of writing, Respawn have not confirmed the bug or responded in anyway, but you can keep up to date with everything they’re working on via their dedicated Apex Trello board. Hopefully, we can expect a fix for this one in an upcoming update.

Apex Legends Lifeline bug gives healing drone infinite range – Dexerto
Apex Legends Lifeline bug gives healing drone infinite range Respawn EntertainmentA useful new bug for Apex Legends character Lifeline allows her Healing Drone to boost your health from any distance. Lifeline, whose real name is Ajay Che, is a combat medic who joined the Apex Games to fund a humanitarian relief organization. With her abilities all targeted around healing, she is an extremely useful part of any three-person composition, with her D.O.C. Heal Drone incredibly handy for giving HP to multiple teammates at once. Some players have noticed a bizarre bug with the medic’s drone though, with it healing players even when they should be out of range of the robot. In a clip posted on Reddit by /u/goncusa, a Lifeline can be seen using her healing drone, with a robotic arm connecting her to the device and boosting her health. As expected, once the character begins to move away from the D.O.C, the arm disconnects, which is supposed to end the process. The player was stunned to see the character’s health continue to rise long after she had left the room. “Look where is, and he’s healing,” exclaimed the confused Wraith player. “What the fuck.” How this bug was accomplished has yet to be confirmed, but in a comment on the clip, /u/dadnothere explains that this can happen “if the healing rope hits something,” and apparently will stay connected under the floor even as you move away from it. This glitch could be incredibly useful in end-game scenarios, as the ability to move away from the drone while gaining health would give players an incredible advantage over those who weren’t constantly receiving HP in those final gunfights. The bug is an unintended exploit for the D.O.C. Heal Drone though, so don’t expect it to remain in the game forever, with Respawn likely to nerf it in a future update.

Apex Legends Lifeline buffs that might be enough to satisfy players – Dexerto
Apex Legends Lifeline buffs that might be enough to satisfy players Respawn EntertainmentRetooling Lifeline’s abilities in Apex Legends has been a popular topic among players, especially when proposed buffs would help her become the game’s primary healer once more. The Fortune’s Favor Season 5 update left Lifeline a little worse for wear since the changes she received weren’t that impactful, while other Legends got much-needed improvements. This means that while the Combat Medic wasn’t changed in a significant way, others have caught up to her to the point where Lifeline’s effectiveness on a team isn’t as apparent anymore, or even necessary. “Since Lifeline’s being outclassed recently, I brought together some concepts that I saw a while back,” Reddit user ‘SamBuzzz’ said. “I think she needs a buff since she’s the only dedicated medic in the game, but other Legends can still provide medical support more efficiently than her.” To start, Lifeline’s proposed passive, named Medic’s Pouch, would let her have two more inventory slots for the sole purpose of storing healing items. That would already give her something far more unique than what she is currently equipped with. To reiterate, her Combat Medic passive currently in the game is great, but buffs to other Legends like Gibraltar, who can provide full 360-degree protection while quickly reviving, makes Lifeline less appealing. SamBuzzz also took into account the D.O.C. Heal Drone and gave it an incredible alteration that would let it actually revive a downed teammate at 1.5x the regular speed. This would be essential and arguably more effective at protecting a person being revived than what the drone can currently do. As for healing, reactivating the tactical ability while D.O.C. is out will give a short pulse that instantly heals 50 HP to nearby teammates. As for her Ultimate, it would change from a Care Package to a Survival Pod akin to the ones in Titanfall 2. These pods would house as a fallen teammate, bringing them back to the fray instead of having to look for a Respawn Beacon. The retooled ability kit would completely open up how a team can strategize with a Lifeline since it gives her more dynamic heals in case someone gets downed or killed. Though the Respawn devs don’t think Lifeline needs a buff in Season 5, this could be a great chance for the studio to reinvent one of the traditionally popular picks in the battle royale.

Apex Legends’ Leviathans are on the move ahead of Season 2 – Dexerto
Apex Legends’ Leviathans are on the move ahead of Season 2 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have noticed that the giant Leviathans that stand in the seas outside Kings Canyon appear to be moving. While there has always been curiosity about the purpose of the Leviathans, so far the creatures have done nothing since the game’s launch, and for most players they’re now simply part of the scenery. As the game’s first season comes to a close and Season Two approaches, however, it seems the Leviathans are on the move, with eagle-eyed players noticing that they appear to have wandered closer to the island. For those that struggle to see the difference in the locations by sight alone, u/FrozenFroh also offered a top-down look at how their positioning has changed on the map. So far, all that’s really known for sure about the game’s second season, which is due to kick off on July 2, is some of the new content arriving, such as new Legend Wattson, a new ranked mode, and the new L-Star SMG. It seems, however, that Respawn might be ramping up to make some more drastic changes to the game, with construction materials found around the map since the Legendary Hunt Limited Time Mode suggesting a Kings Canyon update is on the way. It also appears that the developers might be looking to introduce an evolving narrative to the game in a similar manner to Fortnite Battle Royale’s seasonal story, with hints that dragons could be appearing in Season Two. Exactly where the Leviathans might fit into whatever grand schemes Respawn have for the game remains unknown at this time. Perhaps they could be responsible for destruction that will force certain areas to be rebuilt, or maybe their purpose will fit in with whatever the dragons are set to do. More evidence has been revealed to back up the fact Leviathans are on the move and this time it comes from Respawn themselves. The developers posted on the Apex Legends Instagram page that one of the Leviathans, named Rosie, is moving southbound at a rate of ten klicks per hour. It’s hard to tell what the final intent of the Leviathans will be but we will find out in Season 2. Last updated June 12, 2019 at 3:51pm EST.

Apex Legends Leviathan hints discovered in Season One trailer – Dexerto
Apex Legends Leviathan hints discovered in Season One trailer Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has scoured through the trailer for the game’s first season, and revealed that it includes a number of hints relating to the upcoming second season. Apex Legends Season One is now officially finished, with Season Two scheduled to kick off on July 2, which is expected to bring a host of changes and updates to the popular battle royale title. While fans continue to clamor for clues regarding what they can expect in the next portion of the Apex Legends lore, it appears that developers Respawn Entertainment have been hinting at some of the new season’s major plotlines for some time. Reddit user FrozenFroh went back to the original Season One trailer, and noticed that some of the shots used in the video are almost identical to clips we’ve seen used to promote Season Two, and the overarching storyline that is taking place. In the video, Leviathans can be seen marauding across King’s Canyon, with one of the creatures standing beside a broken Repulsor, which is designed to keep them off the island. Other segments of the trailer show the destruction which the Leviathans look set to cause, with destroyed bridges and flooded areas all spotted with the humongous animals lurking in the background. The trailer also shows the Flyers, the winged beasts which have appeared in the sky since the conclusion of Season One. Respawn have been dropping teasers for Season Two since the first trailer was released at E3 2019, with one discussing the erratic behaviour of the Leviathans which currently roam the waters outside of the map, and a new clue on June 25 that states there are “wildlife intrusions into [the] arena,” likely hinting that the Leviathans are on their way. What the introduction of these huge creatures will mean for Apex Legends Season 2 remains to be seen, but if the images from the first season’s trailer prove to be accurate, the landscape of King’s Canyon may never be the same again.

Apex Legends players express concern about current leveling system – Dexerto
Apex Legends players express concern about current leveling system Although Apex Legends continues to go from strength to strength, there are still many improvements to be made. One of these includes being unable to earn Apex packs after a certain level. In Apex Legends, you are unable to earn packs above level 100 and there isn’t really a logical explanation for this. As this is a free to play game, which is also one of the reasons it has become so popular, players who put more time into this game will look to get rewarded for their efforts. The best free to play games on the market, have long term, free to play progression. Moreover, this wouldn’t negatively affect Apex Legends either, it would instead increase player loyalty. Apex hasn’t been out long, so this issue for players above level 100 will most likely come in to play down the line. We don’t know the price of the Battle Pass, but this could fix this issue by enabling players to earn packs above level 100, thus rewarding their hard work. By the time players are at level 100, new shiny cosmetics will be out and if Respawn haven’t changed anything, their player count will decrease over the Apex pack cap. It really wouldn’t be a bad idea for Respawn to carry on rewarding players over level 100 with new boxes. This alteration would keep people playing, hoping for a shiny new Legend. Overwatch is an example of a game that has success with this process. An alternative to this could be prestige levels. Players could reset back to level one after level 100 and be given a new large shiny star so everyone knows how good their opponent is. People would still feel they’re progressing and would reward players that carry on playing. Do you think that Respawn should implement this idea? Get in touch with us via twitter @TitanfallBlog to let us know your thoughts.

Apex Legends level cap increase finally coming in Season 14 – Dexerto
Apex Legends level cap increase finally coming in Season 14 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ level cap has been stagnant for nearly two years but after several waves of community requests for a new max, Season 14 is finally giving players something to work towards. The Apex Legends level cap has been stuck in the mud for quite some time. At launch, there were 100 levels for players to take on but that number was quickly bumped up to 500 in December 2019. That’s where it has remained for the last two and a half years, but the new season is bringing all kinds of changes and a new endcap is just one of those additions. Apex Legends level cap increase in Season 14 Respawn confirmed the news on the game’s website (alongside images of Vantage, the new Legend joining the Apex Games this season) “Aim for staggering heights with the new Level Cap Increase,” the site says. There’s no word yet on how high the cap is being extended, but leakers have theorized that it could be as far up as level 700. Just like the last update of its kind, this one will likely bring new cosmetics that commemorate the important benchmark levels on the way up to the new endgame. This also means players should be getting more chances to score free Apex Packs as well, as the 2019 update brought the total number of in-game freebies up to 199 overall. Of course, that’s all speculation until the new season arrives on August 9.

Apex Legends Legendary skins revealed in huge leak – Dexerto
Apex Legends Legendary skins revealed in huge leak Respawn EntertainmentAs part of the flood of Apex Legends leaks that have appeared online, a set of brand-new Legendary skins have been revealed for a number of legends. Unlike the other insider leaks we’ve seen, these skins seem very finished. Other leaks, for new weapons and unreleased legends though, were still clearly in the development phase. The unreleased skins are for Caustic, Loba, Crypto, Valkyrie, and Ash. Just from the screenshots, they seem like they could be coming out very soon as well. Legendary Apex Legends skins leaked The first two skins in the above Reddit post are for Caustic. The first has him looking like a futuristic blue gladiator, and the second throws a big iron cage over his head and reminds us of an Elden Ring cosplay. Next up is Crypto, who’s rocking a face mask that ironically looks like it could have come straight from Caustic’s closet. Loba also fits with the general “wasteland raider” theme these skins seem to have going on as well. Valkyrie is rocking a gas mask that, like Crypto, she apparently borrowed from Caustic as well. Finally we have Ash, who sort of breaks the mold as far as this batch of skins goes. Her “Synthetic Huntress” skin looks like something you might find in Destiny 2, instead of Apex Legends. This is all part of one of the biggest data dumps we’ve seen from Apex Legends since the game came out. There are new weapons and unreleased Legends on display, and a new Capture the Flag game mode. As if all that wasn’t enough, we also got our first look at Valkyrie’s Heirloom item too, all thanks to this massive leak. Of course, this is still just a leak, so we can’t assume all of this is 100% confirmed just yet until Respawn’s official announcement. That being said though, this all gives Apex players quite a bit to look forward to in the coming months, if it all turns out to be legit.

Apex Legends: Legendary loot rooms revealed for Season 3 – Dexerto
Apex Legends: Legendary loot rooms revealed for Season 3 Respawn Entertainment (EA)The Apex Legends’ gameplay trailer for Season 3: Meltdown was released on September 28 and new details have surfaced from the action-packed video, including a potentially game-changing map mechanic. In Apex Legends’ brief tenure within the battle royale realm, Respawn Entertainment have upped the ante with each new season, providing fresh new cosmetics, map changes, and entirely new characters. With Season 3 fast approaching on October 1, it appears that the devs have gone one step further by introducing an entirely new arena for players to do battle in, called World’s Edge. Thus far, Crypto (and his integration into Kings Canyon) has been the hot topic of conversation among fans of the popular battle royale; leaving the addition of a new map to the back-burner until late, when his intentions to relocate from Solace were revealed on the official Apex Legends Twitter account. World’s Edge was revealed as part of the Legends’ transition to a new arena, which is presumably located on Lifeline’s home planet of Psamathe. Alongside the varied terrain and testing conditions within the arena, World’s Edge will see the introduction of a new map mechanic: loot rooms. Loot rooms (not the official name) appear to possess a host of sought-after loot that players will flood to from all over the map. Hence, making them a point-of-interest (POI) for players — which could have meta–changing consequences for certain characters in Apex Legends. However, gaining access to these rooms isn’t as plain sailing as one might think. Players will have to shoot an orb from the sky in hopes that it drops a keycard, which will in turn grant access to the legendary loot behind the locked doors. Evidently, strategy will be the key here. Given that the keys will be picked up and added to players’ backpacks, some might decide to set up shop within close proximity to the loot room, in a bid to ambush a squad and retrieve their keycard. You can watch the gameplay trailer in full below, with legendary loot rooms teased at 2:05. This new map mechanic will certainly provide a game-altering experience, shifting the meta towards a more tactical utilization of Legends’ abilities in a bid to make full use of this POI.

Apex Legends Legendary Hunt challenges and how to complete them – Dexerto
Apex Legends Legendary Hunt challenges and how to complete them RespawnThe Legendary Hunt challenges and rewards have now been officially announced by Respawn, and you can check them out in our Apex Legends have been revealed ahead of the official launch of the new mode. Respawn Entertainment revealed their first limited time mode, Legendary Hunt, on May 30, giving more content to enjoy before Season Two is finally released at some point in June. The Legendary Hunt LTM goes live at 10 AM PST/2 PM EST/ 7 PM BST/8 PM CET on June 4, but some players have already been able to get their first look at the challenges that stand between themselves and some incredible loot. Apex Legends fan Dirtyhippee posted a screenshot of the challenges to the game’s subreddit – along with their subsequent rewards. The first challenge is seemingly the easiest as players will simply need to finish the top 5 in any game in order to score the Legendary Hunt Badge. The challenges do ramp up in difficulty after that but all have a similar goal in mind – proving one of the elite players inside Kings Canyon. To unlock the previously revealed Epic Master of The Hunt Bloodhound skin, players will have to finish in the top 5 in five games, while staying in the same queue. On the flip side, in order to claim the Legendary Tamed Beast Triple Take weapon skin, players will need to win two games in the same queue. Players will also be able to secure a Rare Wolfpack G7 Scout weapon skin by finishing in the top 5 of an ‘Elite Top 5’ match. Dirtyhippee’s post also hinted at Battle Pass exclusive skins similar to howFortnite Battle Royale offering. However, there is no word on just what they entail and players will have to wait until the new mode launches before they have an idea on how to stand out from the crowd. As the Legendary Hunt is an LTM (limited time mode), players will only have until June 18 to complete the challenges and claim the new rewards. As Respawn’s own description states, once they’re gone, they’re gone for good. So, happy hunting.

Apex Legends’ least-used legend is actually loved by pros like ImperialHal – Dexerto
Apex Legends’ least-used legend is actually loved by pros like ImperialHal Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ least-used character is living a bit of a double life right now, as he’s actually become a worthy pick in top play. And, pros like ImperialHal are even starting to love him. Whenever Respawn Entertainment adds a new legend to the Apex Legends roster, the meta shifts a little. Sure, the likes of Pathfinder, Wraith, and Lifeline are always going to be near the top of the pick rate charts, but there are plenty of other viable characters out there too. In Season 22, Revenant, Mad Maggie, and Loba have jumped back up. However, Newcastle has fallen well away. The mobile healer has actually slipped to become the least-used legend in the game. Well, in unranked lobbies anyway. He’s got a pick rate of 0.9% currently and being accidentally nerfed by the new update doesn’t help. However, if you flip things on its head and look at Predator and Master lobbies, it’s actually a totally different story. In those top-level games, Newcastle is actually the seventh most-used Legend, sitting with a 5.1% pick rate. He’s even on the verge of overtaking Lifeline as the game’s best healer, according to Apex Legends Status. In fact, Newcastle is also becoming a key part of the pro meta as well. He’s become the character of choice for Team Falcons’ Philip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen. Hal has been seen playing Newcastle in recent scrims, keeping Rhys ‘Zer0’ Perry and Noyan ‘Genburten’ Ozkose going in games when things have looked bleak in terms of placement points. “Boosting my teammates,” the two-time ALGS MVP said after a clip of his revives did the rounds on social media. Newcastle is clearly a rewarding legend for higher-skilled players, but it might be a while before he catches on further down the ranks. Plus, he will need that accidental nerf to his Swift Shield ability fixing before long.

Apex Legends leaks unveil new ‘Date Night’ LTM coming soon – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks unveil new ‘Date Night’ LTM coming soon Respawn EntertainmentFresh Apex Legends leaks have shed light on another new limited-time-mode (LTM), reportedly entitled ‘Date Night Duos’ and dropping just ahead of Season 16. LTMs have long been an integral part of Apex Legends’ multiplayer. Respawn uses them to shake up core aspects of the battle royale, letting players enjoy the 2019 title’s engine and mechanics outside of the typical BR modes. We’ve seen a huge variety of LTMs come and go, including a long-requested Solos mode. However, Respawn have expressed their reluctance to make LTMs permanent options, explaining that their focus is, and will continue to be, on the battle royale. That doesn’t mean new and exciting LTMs are off the table though. In fact, according to new leaks, there’s more to look forward to. Apex Legends ‘Date Night Duos’ LTM leaked On January 10, Apex leaker ‘iLootGames’ revealed the ‘Date Night Duos’ LTM coming soon. The mode’s description reads: “Become the Apex Games’ cutest couple! This special twist on Duos is available for a limited time.” Specifically, the LTM will add a “unique healing mechanic”. Whenever one member of a duo uses a healing item (health or shields), their teammate will also receive the effects of the item – so long as they are close enough to the user. It will also introduce a new Limited Time Weapon: the Heart Stealer. It will be a bow with “all the functions of the regular Bocek, but additionally heals any allies near you when you damage an Enemy Legend.” The data miner also revealed exactly when to expect the LTM to drop, pinpointing February 7 as its anticipated release date. That’s just one week ahead of Season 16’s anticipated release, with the new season of content currently chalked for release on Valentine’s Day. It’s set to bring huge changes to the Apex Games, with an overhaul to Legend classification and abilities a standout feature.

Apex Legends leaks uncover new SMG potentially launching with Season 16 – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks uncover new SMG potentially launching with Season 16 RespawnBrand new Apex Legends leaks point to a new submachine gun (SMG) dropping soon and making the battle royale’s weapon pool one bigger. Apex Legends’ weapon pool is at the heart of its combat and looting system, with players scrambling round its many environments to find and equip the very best guns in the current meta. However, it’s been some time since a new weapon was added to Apex Legends, with Respawn keen to keep the gun pool balanced and not release new weapons for the sake of it. At the time of writing, the last new weapon to drop was the CAR SMG, which came with Season 11. We’re now approaching Season 16 and, finally, it looks like a new gun is on the horizon. Apex Legends leak uncovers new SMG In a December 2 YouTube video, Apex content creator Grrt shed light on a new SMG that was spotted on an Apex Legends skin and cosmetic site. “There is a finished model and skin for a future weapon,” he explained. “Essentially, a company that makes skins for Apex posted a tonne of skins they’ve made. But when we scroll through, we notice something we’ve never seen before.” The images, featuring in the below video around the 0:22 mark, show a small and compact weapon that looks like a SMG and is discernibly different from any existing weapon in the game. “This is not a gun we have,” Grrt continued. “It’s not a Prowler because it’s too long and the barrel’s too big. It’s not a Havoc or anything like that. It’s just a straight up new gun.” He rounded out the video by pointing out that it aligns with previous leaks regarding a ‘Gemini SMG’, so there is the possibility that it is a previously leaked gun resurfacing closer to its in-game release. It was also noted by some viewers that the listing and images have now been removed, suggesting they were accidentally released ahead of schedule. Regardless, the implementation of the new SMG will remain unconfirmed until Respawn or EA make it official. Many will be hoping to see it with Season 16 in February, especially given the backlash the criticism that has been directed at the Wintertide Event.

Apex Legends leaks suggest Rosie could be next legend after Crypto – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks suggest Rosie could be next legend after Crypto Respawn/That1MiningGuyA new fan theory surrounding Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends has emerged, specifically concerning unannounced legend Rosie, and her background. One aspect that Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends has been criticized for is the speed at which they have dispensed DLC, including releasing new legends for players to get their hands on. In the 6 months since it was released, only Octane and Wattson have been added as playable characters, and players are eager for more. As with any popular game, data miners and leakers have been hard at work to predict new content that is to be added to the game. While all signs point to the upcoming addition of ‘Crypto’, it looks like there might be more in the pipeline. Rosie is a – as of yet – completely unconfirmed legend, only being hinted at in data mined files. Reputable leaker ‘That1MiningGuy’ has shared his theory, after Respawn employee, Tina Sanchez, shared a photo of an actor in a motion capture suit, potentially for the new legend Rosie. This contrasts to the generally accepted theory that it was in order to create more Crypto footage. Rosie was initially found by a different leaker, along with information on Octane, Wattson and Crypto. That1MiningGuy suggests that recently added legend Wattson was tutored by Rosie, when she was growing up in King’s Canyon. He also states that the actor is not big enough to motion capture for Crypto, strengthening the argument that it is related to Rosie. While we are only a month or so into Apex’s second season, it certainly seems like there is a lot of content on its way. It’s important to remember that Rosie herself has not been confirmed by Respawn, never mind any aspects of her background or lore. It’s unlikely we’ll see her added anytime soon; particularly with all signs pointing to Crypto being on his way.

Apex Legends leaks suggest Revenant, not Crypto, will get next Heirloom – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks suggest Revenant, not Crypto, will get next Heirloom Respawn EntertainmentDespite recent leaks that Crypto would be the next Legend to receive their very own custom Heirloom in Apex Legends, it appears Revenant is actually set to receive the ultra-rare cosmetic in Season 9 instead. Nothing gets Apex Legends fans excited quite like a new Heirloom. These exceptionally rare cosmetics are some of the biggest draws in the battle royale today and Respawn Entertainment is always working on the next one. While nine characters have their own, that still leaves almost half the roster without an Heirloom of their own. Naturally, players are always guessing who’s next for the highly sought-after goodies. Recent leaks pointed towards Crypto as the next Legend in focus. This particular Heirloom was supposedly a custom optic, though fans may have to wait a little longer to see it in-game. Instead, Revenant is reportedly jumping the queue and is now up next for a custom — and very rare — melee cosmetic. With a new limited-time event allegedly set for June 29, according to prominent Apex dataminer ‘GarretLeaks,’ it could pave the way for the release of Revenant’s Heirloom. In fact, there is a “high chance” we see exactly that come to fruition. Having previously leaked a first look at Revenant’s Heirloom, the dataminer seems adamant it’s next in line. The item itself a unique melee weapon that shifts from a devastating chain to a rather sharp pickaxe. So far all we know about the event: 29th June High Chance of Revenant heirloom Hints from the devs: The vines may progress 3 skins we know of: Caustic, Fuse, and Hemlock— Garret (@GarretLeaks) June 6, 2021 While the community had its sights on Crypto’s ‘Jikdo’ item, this earlier leak was reportedly “fake.” At this point in time, there are just two Heirlooms in the game’s files, according to Garret, and neither of them “[point] to a Crypto Heirloom.” “Best bet to not get disappointed is to listen to data mines as those are in the files and game.” With two Heirlooms in the game’s code, however, Respawn Entertainment could be preparing the other for a big surprise. We’ll just have to see which one gets locked in over the following weeks. We’ll be sure to keep you updated with all the latest at @alphaINTEL.

Apex Legends leaks reveal Season 5 skins for Loba, Mirage, more – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks reveal Season 5 skins for Loba, Mirage, more Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends data miners have wasted no time in digging through the game files to uncover upcoming skins for various Legends in Season 5, including the newest addition to the roster, Loba Andrade. In fact, one leaker has found that Loba will be getting her very own ‘Fortune’s Favor Pack’, which will include not only a skin, but also 600 Apex Coins. We also can’t forget about all the other Legends of course, including Mirage — who has come back into player’s favor thanks to a significant buff for this season. Loba: Fortune’s Favor Pack leaked Data miner Biast12 first posted about code in the game files indicating a pack for Loba would give players the ‘Pack Hunter’ Loba skin as well as 600 coins. Read More: All leaked legends and their abilities – The skin appears to feature some glow-in-the-dark areas, including on Loba’s eyes. The name ‘Pack Hunter’ also ties in with the new Treasure Packs and weekly hunts added for the new season. In addition to this Loba skin, fellow data miner iLootGames showed off some more unique styles for her outfits in his May 16 YouTube video. One of the most interesting features is a tiger print design, which the leaker jokingly dubs the ‘Loba Baskin’ skin, in reference to Carole Baskin, made famous by Netflix’s Tiger King documentary. There’s also a new Teal recolor for Mirage, and a fairly simple, no-nonsense recolor for Bloodhound. For fans of Loba, which there are already many, these new skins will be very tempting. There’s no release date currently for the Fortune’s Favor Pack though, so that skin might still be some way off from appearing in-game officially. There are already some incredible skins that you can use on Loba by default though (if you have the Crafting Metals or are lucky enough to get them from a pack). Her Legendary skins are jaw-dropping. And, if you are a Twitch Prime member, you’ll definitely want to link your accounts to take advantage of the new Loba skin that’s available from Prime, totally free. You can see how to link your accounts and get the skin here.

Apex Legends leaks reveal Season 14 collection event, epic skins, and next heirloom – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks reveal Season 14 collection event, epic skins, and next heirloom Respawn EntertainmentNew Apex Legends datamines reveal upcoming content details ahead of Season 14’s release, including new collection events, epic skins, and the next heirloom. With Season 14 of Apex Legends kicking off on August 9, 2022, it seems recent datamines may have revealed the next collection event. Leakers have allegedly found data that suggests the next collection event, codenamed “HunterPredator,” will feature new Legend and weapon skins. Additionally, the code hosts placeholder data for the name of the Legend getting the next heirloom, which could hint at two possible candidates. Apex Legends leaks reveal Season 14 collection event The leaks in question come from a few sources. The ‘HunterPredator’ collection event leak comes from SenosApex on Twitter, who shared screenshots of the code and leaked weapon skins. These screenshots reveal Fuse, Gibby, and Revenant may get epic rarity skins in the collection event, while the CAR SMG, the Hemlock, and the Wingman will get epic weapon skins. Additionally, SenosApex provided early images of the Wingman and Hemlock skins, with the Wingman featuring a frosty ice-blue and gold design. The Hemlock features a more camo-esque design featuring various green colors with red accents. However, the leaker also revealed they found code for the next heirloom in placeholder text saying “I believe this is the collection event for the xxxx Heirloom.” Fans speculate the four X’s could represent the Legend’s name, leading many to believe that Loba could finally get her heirloom in Season 14. This is compounded by another leak from Twitter user Psamatheh, who claims prominent Apex Legends leaker Ezra_RC has hinted at a decorative folding fan heirloom. While the four X placeholder name could hint at an heirloom for Fuse, Loba makes much more sense when factoring in the decorative fan leak and the fact that she’s been around much longer than Fuse. Of course, these are still unconfirmed leaks so fans should view them with skepticism. If these leaks prove true, though, Season 14 could finally be the season Loba fans have been waiting for.

Apex Legends leaks reveal Pathfinder Town Takeover coming in Season 7 – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks reveal Pathfinder Town Takeover coming in Season 7 Respawn EntertainmentPathfinder will be the next Apex Legends character to get a Town Takeover, and the first to have their own personalized POI on new map Olympus, according to playtester images that have leaked ahead of the Season 7 update. [jwplayer Do3m9qnp] Town Takeovers are one of the most exciting events in Apex Legends. Not only do they bring new lore and backstories for their focal legend, but they also add special points of interest to the battle royale map as well, branded in unique ways. Octane, Wraith, and Crypto have already enjoyed Town Takeovers on Kings Canyon, while Apex Legends’ second map, World’s Edge, hosted Mirage and Bloodhound events over the past few seasons. Now it looks like it’s finally Pathfinders turn. According to leaked playtester images shared by dataminer Biast12, the loveable robot will be getting a huge POI when Apex Legends shifts to new map Olympus in Season 7. The new Pathfinder point of interest will be a massive boxing arena. In the leaked POI image, which is slightly blurry and back-and-white, Pathfinder can be seen wearing his heirloom gloves, and posing on a poster emblazoned with his name. The circle building behind it certainly looks like a sports stadium too. Biast12 also said the leaked image only shows “part of [the whole] Pathfinder’s Town Takeover.” There is also allegedly a stadium “on the other side of the wall.” A part of Pathfinder’s TT, on the other side of the wall is the stadium😈 pic.twitter.com/K1LxpBwSen — Biast12 (@Biast12) October 27, 2020 Considering it’s just a single image that’s leaked so far, it’s tough to get a good picture of what the Town Takeover may actually look like. Biast12 did tease it could have “a bunch of zip lines everywhere” after replying to one fan’s comment. When will Pathfinder’s Town Takeover start? The Pathfinder Town Takeover will be in Season 7, and appears to be hosted on Olympus. Beyond that, however, a possible start date for the event is a little hazy. The Mirage Voyage point of interest is the closest Town Takeover date-wise that we have to go off. It was released on Dec. 12, 2019, two months into Season 3. If Respawn sticks to the same formula, we could see Pathfinder’s arena at a similar time of year. In fact, it could basically be bang on the same week. Season 7 arrives on Nov. 4 — yes, it’s still set for then, despite a little update scare this week — and eight weeks after that lands on Tuesday, December 8. That’s about as close as you can get! Town Takeover teasers usually start earlier too. We may start to see Pathfinder teasers for the arena in mid-November, once we’ve settled into life on Olympus. For now, we’ll just have to wait for official confirmation from Respawn about the exciting new takeover. The developers have never commented on Town Takeover leaks before, so the first time we see anything new could be in-game on Dec. 8. Whether they comment or not, however, it looks like there’s a lot of exciting new content on the way at the start of next month. Season 7 will finally arrive, along with a new Legend, a brand-new map, vehicles, clubs, and more.

Apex Legends leaks reveal new Class passives coming for all legends – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks reveal new Class passives coming for all legends Respawn EntertainmentNew abilities and passives could be on their way for all twelve Apex Legends characters in Season 4, after new datamined information revealed Respawn’s testing code relating to the bold new buffs and changes. Up until this point in Apex Legends, character classes have remained relatively useless. They have been a good way to figure out how a new legend may play, but that’s pretty much where the value stops. According to new info found in the battle royale’s code, originally revealed by popular data miner ILootGames, however, that could be set to change as Respawn prepares to drop class-based passives and abilities into the game. Support passive solves the Blue Supply Bin mystery All four Apex classes — Offensive, Defensive, Support, and Recon — are set to be given new abilities in the form of passives which will enhance their gameplay based on what role they are expected to fulfill in the battle royale. Perhaps the most interesting change is for the battle royale’s sole support character, Lifeline. After originally appearing in the Season 4 gameplay trailer, Apex’s mysterious blue bins never landed on the live server. Now it seems like we’ve finally got our answer. According to game code relating to supports and their new passive, Lifeline, as well as any legend added to the class in later seasons, will now be able to “find extra supplies inside blue supply bins.” The data line — currently loaded into the code as “‘1Support‘0: Find extra supplies inside blue supply bins.” — suggests these rare blue bins will be locked to all players; only those with the passive key will be able to open them. It’s also worth mentioning there have been whispers of Loba, who is potentially already being teased across World’s Edge, which could be another Apex support character. If that’s the case, she too would be able to open the blue supply bins. Recon & Defensive passives re-use old abilities Apex’s recon characters, Bloodhound, Crypto, and Pathfinder, also appear set to be granted a game-changing passive. All three will now be able to scan the Survey Beacons littered on the map to “reveals the next circle’s location.” The fact Bloodhound and Crypto will now be taking over what was once Pathfinder’s unique passive also suggests the lovable robot may be granted a brand-new ability to replace it. So far, there has been no evidence of a new passive, however. Defensive legends also have their passive come from elsewhere too: Gibraltar, Caustic, and Wattson may permanently wield the strength of gold backpacks. The code string suggests they will be able to “restore shields to revived squadmates.” Like Pathfinder’s passive, this leaves the question — will gold backpacks be reworked again, considering they could be redundant for a quarter of the roster? This too, however, has not yet been spotted in the code. New Offensive passive helps with backpack changes Finally, it appears the game’s offensive characters — Bangalore, Wraith, Mirage, Octane, and Revenant — will at least partially be spared from the major backpack changes which arrived in the Override update. Their code string reads “‘1Offensive’0: Two special inventory slots for grenades,” suggesting the attack-minded characters may be given something akin to the bandolier item which was rumored to be in development back in June 2019. Considering single-stack grenades have been cluttering up player’s expanded backpacks since the new update, this will be a welcome addition for players who jump into the battle royale with any of those characters. When could these changes hit the live servers? While there’s always a chance that information found in the game’s code may not make it to the full release — Respawn even pulled a cheeky bait and switch with new legends Forge and Revenant — this seems to be on its way. According to ILootGames, who first discovered the code strings, the datamined information is “in a file where almost everything is coming to the game… [if it’s there] it’s pretty much guaranteed.” Dexerto can confirm they’re still hosted there. For now, though, sit tight. Respawn will likely not comment on any leaked data files, and haven’t before, but once the new season split starts and we return to King’s Canyon, they may begin teasing the massive Passive changes.

Apex Legends leaks reveal Loba will finally appear in-game this week – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks reveal Loba will finally appear in-game this week Respawn EntertainmentLoba is set to finally appear in Apex Legends for the first time this week, according to data mined leaks. That’s right — after months of waiting, players are finally getting up close and personal with the Translocating Thief. Hype for Season 5 is well and truly hitting its peak. A series of teasers for the seasonal switch-up have already been found. A reconnect feature is coming. Mirage is even getting buffed. Not even a date delay could dampen hype. Amidst all of this, Loba’s in-game debut has been inching ever closer. Apex fans have already been treated to a first look at the mysterious thief’s animations. Now it looks like we’re finally going to see her in-game, according to new leaks. What will Loba’s Apex Legends debut look like? Loba’s debut on World’s Edge will come as part of Season 5’s Phase 4 teasers, according to data miner ILootGames. This teaser is expected to begin at 10am PST on Tuesday, April 28, and will likely see Loba interact with the players. The key detail, the code-dipper said, was an animation string tied to the upcoming in-game event: “mdl/Humans/class/medium/pilot_medium_loba.rmdl.” This animation seems set to finally activate in “Phase 4” this week. While the data miner said he “wasn’t sure what the teaser would entail,” it’s likely Respawn will go down a tried and tested route. Crypto’s entrance to the battle royale came in a series of in-game teasers. We’ll likely see the same for Loba. Interestingly enough, Loba’s entrance may play out a little differently to the Season 3 debutant. According to a new code dug up by multiple data miners, and Dexerto — “s05tease_viewCountPhase4” — Loba will only pop up a few times for each player. In fact, there may be a three-time limit. When Crypto was seen preparing to take players from Kings Canyon to World’s Edge, he appeared randomly but was never capped. This time fans may only get a few glimpses at the new Legend. For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 2:07 in the video below. Where will Apex players be able to see Loba in-game? Where this in-game debut may take place is a little murkier. Some codes reference Wraith’s Town Takeover location Labs, which has also been linked with the first three phases. Others have found evidence she will raid loot vaults. According to more information data mined by ILootGames, a “fake minimap will be applied while you are in [Labs].” This will likely be the fragmented maps found on the three glad-card teasers already discovered in Phases 1–3. Popular data miner Shrugtal — who also confirmed Loba would be arriving this week — also shared his theory. According to him, there’s a chance players could be transported from the Drill Site, all the way to Kings Canyon. Yeah if my “”portal to King’s Canyon Labs”” crackpot theory is correct, it could show up there. Probably should check each of these last teaser phases. https://t.co/00gAAq0VrY — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) April 24, 2020 The final piece of the puzzle is Loba’s translocating bracelet, which Dexerto has found buried in the teaser code. Players could have access to it for the Phase 4 or 6 teaser, but nothing is confirmed on that front just yet. For now, players will just have to wait and see what emerges at 10am on April 28. All signs do point to Loba’s grand entrance, but Respawn has been tricky before — like with their famous Forge fakeout — so you can never be too sure.

Apex Legends leaks reveal inside of mysterious Kings Canyon “UFO” – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks reveal inside of mysterious Kings Canyon “UFO” Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends data miners have revealed an early look at a leaked point-of-interest that could be replacing Skulltown in Kings Canyon. The fifth season in Apex Legends brought along some major map changes, including the destruction of the fan-favorite location Skulltown, which was left underwater following Loba’s entrance to the battle royale. Skulltown’s destruction also saw a significant chunk of the map fall into the ocean ahead of Season 5, however, it seems as if Respawn finally has something planned to take the place of the infamous point-of-interest. Respawn devs have previously revealed that they are not afraid to make significant map changes, that will “shake the game up,” in a map like Kings Canyon, and new leaks have teased the next major changes could be added in Season 6. Apex Legends data miner shrugtal, revealed that the empty corner of the map could soon have a new dome-like location, which was briefly teased in the Apex Legends devstream on June 22. Shrugtal also claimed that the Skull which can be found near the cliffs would likely have to be removed, due to the scale of this newly leaked area, “This thing is massive, Suspended Skull must be getting removed for it.” https://twitter.com/shrugtal/status/1279110559175249921 The Apex leaker also revealed an early look at the inside of this new POI, sharing images of a park, which is seemingly inspired by Titanfall 2’s tutorial area. Shrugtal also claimed that this new location might also be able to fly, labeling it a ‘UFO,’ and sparking rumors that it could be used to transport the Legends to an entirely different map in later seasons. https://twitter.com/shrugtal/status/1279254895837827080 Shrugtal later released a video on this mysterious “UFO”, highlighting a full look at all of the details this Season 6 map teaser will have to offer. While it is unclear when exactly this new location is expected to be added, shrugtal has suggested that it will probably be added at some point during Season 6, which is expected to start on August 18. However, it is unlikely that any of these potential changes will be confirmed by Respawn and Apex Legends fans will just have to wait and see what they decide to do in future updates.

Apex Legends leaks reveal how upcoming private match feature will work – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks reveal how upcoming private match feature will work Respawn EntertainmentThe new event in Apex Legends loaded a ton of files for dataminers to explore, some of which gave a breakdown of how the anticipated Tournament Match system works. Esports and casual players have been waiting for the devs to introduce more features in Apex Legends which Respawn are starting to deliver on all fronts. With the release of the Grand Soirée event for the battle royale, there are tons of reasons to get hyped for the state of the game. Respawn included new LTMs, bug fixes and more, though there are other reasons to get hyped. One of the new features that the update added was access to private matches and tournaments, but unless you’re an Apex partner, you’d still be in the dark about its functionality. Dataminers ‘iLootGames’ and ‘That1MiningGuy’ took a peek into what appears to be the processes for how this new feature will function, leaking the info from back-end game files. According to the backend files, a tournament can hold the standard 60 players per match, but it will also have rooms for up to five spectators. No XP or challenge progression will be earned in Tournament matches, but that’s to be expected. For those with permission to access the mode, they’ll have to use their Tournament Admin Code to create a match, with other players using their Tournament Participation Code to join it. From within the Admin can decide if they want to give players permission to assign themselves to a team, or be assigned for them. From there, team names can be edited and customized as they see fit. Even though there aren’t any plans to release the Tournament Mode to the public as of yet, players now have a better picture of how the internal workings play out. Respawn Entertainment have been playing catch-up with their battle royale since it became instantly popular following its February 2019 release. Within months of Apex being on the market, the devs were bombarded with requests for bug fixes, improvements, and new features. As I’ve said before, we are not giving out public access to Tournament Mode at this time. The purpose is to have a tool to run tournaments and (hopefully) pro scrims. We will be handling these internally for now, with an aim to scaling out over time. — Shahin Kanafchian (@shahin) January 14, 2020 Voices were especially strong for the budding esports scene; players, orgs, and tournament organizers wanted the devs to implement tools within Apex that facilitated a competitive scene that was building off the already massive levels of hype the game had. The response was slow, but at least Respawn are starting to pick up the pieces to provide a better experience for both casual and competitive environments.

Apex Legends leaks reveal new details for Mirage’s Season 5 rework – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks reveal new details for Mirage’s Season 5 rework Respawn EntertainmentMirage could be set to become the very first Apex Legends character to undergo a rework, after new leaks revealed the Holographic Trickster’s impending buffs — confirmed by Respawn earlier this month — will be a pretty big overhaul. Elliott Witt, the Legend in the Apex Games more commonly known as Mirage, has struggled to find his place in the battle royale’s meta since release. Apart from a few minor bug fixes in the last 14 months, he’s mostly been left out to dry. The situation continued to worsen for the smooth-talking trickster as new roster debutants like Revenant and Wattson outshone him. Early favorites like Wraith and Gibraltar were also better picks, and Mirage dropped to a 2.40% win rate. Now, Mirage mains have had enough. Their outcry across social media reached fever-pitch as they demanded Respawn “save” the loveable larrikin. For a time, it looked like the devs had simply decided to let him rot. That is, until Respawn dev Carlos Pineda confirmed buffs were coming “real soon,” but didn’t reveal what they would be. Now, thanks to new leaks from data miner ILootGames, we know — a full rework is potentially on its way. Mirage rework could draw on Dummies Big Day LTM According to the popular code-dipper, who revealed a handful of tidbits about the potential upcoming Mirage rework in a YouTube video on April 22, Respawn are planning to draw on the “Dummies Big Day” LTM for the overhaul. “What I’ve been told… is that Mirage is going to get the ability of the Emergency Dance Party,” ILootGames said. He added it would make sense considering the “weird Mirage bugs” which had been plaguing King’s Canyon recently. “Whether that’s a tactical ability or a replacement for his ultimate, I don’t know, but that’s what I’ve been told will be part of his rework. It’s not just going to be a buff, it’s going to be a rework. We’ll find out in Season 5 is my hope.” Using the Dummies’ ultimate move from the short-lived Grand Soiree Event is no new idea — players have been demanding devs use the “believable” Dummies ability for Mirage for some time — and it certainly makes sense as a buff. For mobile readers, the related segment begins at 3:48 in the video below. When can Apex players expect the Mirage rework? According to ILootGames, there’s nothing solid in the battle royale’s code relating to Mirage just yet. That means Respawn is likely still hard at work testing these changes on their internal servers at the moment. When other big changes have come down the pipelines, they’ve come during major seasonal swaps. As such, Mirage’s big switch-up is, in all likelihood, penciled in for Season 5’s update. That means it should arrive on May 5. It is worth keeping in mind, the leaked Mirage updates are also, as always, subject to change. Respawn has proven they’re happy to switch direction — as seen with their Revenant-Forge trick — so we’ll see if this rework lands on live servers.

Apex Legends leaks point to Care Package themed LTM coming soon – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks point to Care Package themed LTM coming soon RespawnFresh Apex Legends leaks point to a major overhaul coming to Care Packages in a future update, with fans speculating that it will be part of a limited-time-mode (LTM) or part of a new Legend’s abilities. Care Packages are a balance of risk and reward in Apex Legends, with players going for the high-tier loot inside them naturally vulnerable to nearby opponents. Currently, players only know the specific Care Package items once they open the crate itself, even if the probabilities of certain weapons and items have been published. However, new information acquired via data mining suggests that they will be changed in a future update, if only for a LTM. A November 30 Reddit post highlighted the information, saying: “[The] ability to see what a care package will contain before it lands possibly coming.” Specifically, the code refers to ‘Care Package containing X dropping in X seconds’, suggesting that players will be informed of the crate’s items without actually needing to get inside. However, it currently seems unlikely that this will be a long-term and universal change to Apex’s Care Packages. One player explained their doubts that Respawn would add such a feature alongside a timer of a Care Package, suggesting it would change too much and worsen Apex players’ struggles with third parties. They said: “This is 100% for an event. No way they would ALSO add a timer to the drop. It’ll either be a future legend passive or it’s for an event. I see no world where it would be implemented into the core game.” Others tended to agree, also suggesting it would overlap too heavily with Loba’s current abilities to consider as part of a future character’s repertoire. In short, the most likely addition of the feature seems to be in an upcoming event LTM. Specifically, we’ve had information on the upcoming holiday Wintertide event and a mysterious ‘Magic Witch’ event.

Apex Legends leaks reveal new ‘Dragon’ light LMG coming soon – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks reveal new ‘Dragon’ light LMG coming soon Respawn EntertainmentA powerful new Light Machine Gun in Apex Legends has slipped through the cracks, with recent leaks uncovering the ‘Dragon,’ a first of its kind LMG that utilizes Light Ammo. Throughout the first two years of Apex Legends, we’ve seen just three unique LMGs in rotation. Now, a fourth could finally be on the way for Respawn Entertainment’s popular battle royale. Prominent leaker ‘Biast12’ unveiled a handful of new weapons in an April 11 tweet. Standing out from the pack was the “Dragon,” a brand new LMG unlike anything else in the category. While an accompanying image showed the potential model for the future release, one key detail stole the spotlight. Should this leaked weapon make it into the live version of Apex Legends, it’ll be the first LMG to use Light Rounds. There is 3 weapons in development right now EPG Compound Bow Dragon (more on that in the next tweet)— Biast12 (@Biast12) April 11, 2021 As it currently stands, there are just six weapons among the 22 in Apex that rely on this type of ammunition. None of them are LMGs. Instead, these bulkier weapons have always fed off Heavy Rounds or Energy Ammo. The Dragon could be the first to buck that trend, according to Biast12. Utilizing Light Rounds, this implies the LMG would come with a lightning-fast fire rate to fit the bill. Light ammunition is rapidly chewed through by SMGs, ARs, and Pistols. There’s no reason to believe an LMG of this variety would function any differently. Beyond the distinct ammo type, details remain scarce for the new weapon. There’s no telling just how powerful it might be, what the recoil may look like, or where you’ll be able to find it. The new in-game model itself looks rather lightweight compared to the heftier LMG designs we’ve seen thus far. This is the Dragon it’s an LMG using Light Ammo pic.twitter.com/tK2VwhsSaR — Biast12 (@Biast12) April 11, 2021 Obviously, it’s always worth taking leaks with a grain of salt. While there is a unique model for the gun already, there’s no guarantee it’ll see the light of day. Plenty of content in development can be held back or outright scrapped for various reasons. With that in mind, there’s no telling when the Dragon might make its way to Apex Legends. It could be a hot arrival in the upcoming Season 9 update, or it could be months away. We’ll just have to wait and see what the developers have in store.

Apex Legends leaks hint at vehicles coming in Season 7 – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks hint at vehicles coming in Season 7 Respawn EntertainmentSome new leaked animations in Apex Legends are potentially hinting at vehicles coming to the popular battle royale title in Season 7. [jwplayer KEHOOBWR] As far as battle royale games go, Apex Legends is one of the last that doesn’t offer players vehicles for faster rotation and to hit different areas of the map quicker. The likes of Warzone and Fortnite have had vehicles for mobility for a long time at this point, while Apex players haven’t had that opportunity. That said, always looking for ways to offer fans something fresh and exciting in the game, the Apex devs appear to be following suit, if recent leaks are anything to go by. On top of a weapon charm, some new animations definitely look to prove that we’re getting vehicles sooner rather than later. As shared by renowned dataminer Shrugtal on Twitter, the Ride Share charm has two passenger seats alongside the driver’s seat, and it’s a hover vehicle. Just saying… the quest end charm has a driver’s seat and two passenger ones on the side… and it’s a hover vehicle… But I should probably make a video on this with the supporting code. pic.twitter.com/tg9tjA1b9o — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) October 23, 2020 That’s not all, though: he found some new animations that all but confirm the existence of vehicles in the Apex Games. As you can see in this tweet below, there are animations in the 6.1 patch for a driver and passenger hovering while seated — perfectly fitting for a Hover Vehicle. Hover Vehicle driver / passenger seated animations added in 6.1. pic.twitter.com/NUqbythXOJ — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) October 23, 2020 As many people have pointed out, the current Apex Legends maps, World’s Edge and Kings Canyon, are a fair share smaller than maps in other battle royale titles, so vehicles may not be as fitting in the game as they are in others. One common theory is that the vehicles may be on rails, similar to the train, rather than being drivable for players to freely traverse the map. However, the new Olympus map has been speculated about for months now, so it is absolutely possible that they come into the game purely for that — also suggesting that Olympus will be the game’s biggest map yet. Right now, we can’t confirm for absolute certainty that this means vehicles will be coming to the game, and we should never take leaks as gospel, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see this happen. The big question is how it all plays out.

Apex Legends leaks hint at Steam release finally coming soon – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks hint at Steam release finally coming soon Valve / Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends could be moving to Steam as soon as this season after more than a year of the battle royale being exclusive to Origin’s game launcher, according to an event-specific charm uncovered by dataminers in Season 5. EA stopped selling newly-released titles on Steam several years ago, instead choosing to run games through their Origin game launcher. Respawn’s battle royale was no different, and has been exclusive on EA’s client since February 2019. Late last year, however, EA senior vice president of player networks Mike Blank teased that some of the publisher’s titles would be moving to Steam sometime in 2020. The big switch-up was planned for spring, he said at the time. Portal 2 charm points to Apex Legends Steam release New leaks uncovered by popular dataminers Shrugtal and Biast12 seem to confirm EA is still on schedule for that target window. In fact, Respawn could already be getting ready for a big in-game event to celebrate the client shift. The Apex Legends leakers revealed what they had found on May 14: an unreleased charm, titled “v_charm_valve_potato”. The ornament seems to reference Valve franchise Portal, and more specifically the game’s AI villain GLaDOs. So this got added in the files, name: “”v_charm_valve_potato”” this could hint to something with valve or maybe steam pic.twitter.com/zuGnMZ5nmd— Biast12 (@Biast12) May 14, 2020 There’s also this Portal potato charm. pic.twitter.com/46fcZHFKyR — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) May 14, 2020 When will Apex Legends make its Steam debut? The spud in question certainly does seem to be pointing to Portal. For those that have never played Valve’s puzzle-breaking, gravity-defying franchise, GLaDOs is turned into a potato battery mid-way through the series sequel. The timing also fits perfectly with Blank’s spring tease. Season 5 is expected to run from its launch last week on May 12, through the next three months. Considering world events, it would make sense if the move had been delayed slightly. That behind-the-scenes shift would set Apex’s big Steam arrival smack bang in the middle of Summer. This fits Season 5’s run time to near perfection too, considering the battle royale’s seasons last around four months at a time. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any confirmation — leaked or official — in terms of when the swap over will begin. For now, until Respawn, EA, or Valve comment directly, PC players will just have to sit tight and keep using Origin. The major Steam shift isn’t the only thing expected to arrive in Season 5 either: Mirage has been tipped as the next Legend to get a rare Heirloom release, and new debutant Loba will be getting a Twitch skin this month too.

Apex Legends leaks hint at huge Legend reworks dropping with Season 16 – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks hint at huge Legend reworks dropping with Season 16 RespawnSeveral Apex Legends leaks point to major Legend meta changes coming soon, with Season 16 potentially bringing huge changes to character classes and abilities. Apex Legends Season 15 has come in for more criticism than any season in recent memory. From fans launching their own campaigns for new and exciting content to criticism over rehashed event skins, there’s been unprecedented reproval from the title’s community. One major reason was the lack of buffs and nerfs to Legends, meaning the meta has essentially remained stagnant – even with the addition of Catalyst. However, that could be a precursor to a major meta-shift with Season 16. Legend classes and perks could overhaul Apex Legends Season 16 Over the past few months, leaks have begun to pile up, claiming a major rework of Legend classes is on the horizon. Right now, legends can be divided by their intended purposes like assault, recon, and support. Leaks suggest that these different legend classes are about to become more important. Reputable data miner ThordanSmash revealed on December 9 that new supply bins, originally found by KralRindo, will only be available to assault legends. He said: “Apex Legends Assault class perk coming [in] Season 16… a new loot bin containing more ammo and weapon attachments [that] only assault class can access.” It corroborates past information that support legends can access ‘Support Bins.’ These white and blue bins were previously only available to Lifeline. Discussing the changes in a YouTube video, Smash said: “Basically, a lot of the existing classes will get new perks added to that class to make them more viable in the game. There was also something about a skirmisher class that can see what’s in a care package.” The changes don’t rule out standard buffs and nerfs to specific legends. They do, though, suggest that legends will soon be more closely grouped with those of similar abilities. This presumably adds more balance and teamwork to Apex and its character pool. Naturally, these leaks are not confirmed until Respawn or EA makes them official. With Season 16 set to drop in early February, it could be some time until we get definite information.

Apex Legends leaks hint at adding NPC characters – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks hint at adding NPC characters More Apex Legends leaks have surfaced following the Wednesday, March 6 update, with the latest leak suggesting that NPC characters could be added to the game in the near future. Data miners have already been hard at work scouring through the game’s files searching for hints and clues as to what will likely be added to the massively popular battle royale title. In the game’s files, two new weapons have been found in the form of a Flamethrower and a Remote Turret, while links to a night mode and a ‘Community Happy Hour’ have also been released by leakers. Now, it seems that Apex Legends players can expect to see non-playable characters enter the game, as a huge number of files related to NPCs have been discovered inside the game’s files. Not a whole lot is known about what these NPCs will do, but thanks to @RealApexLeaks we do know that NPCs will be able to use weapons and melee opponents, and can be set to be hostile or friendly to players inside the game. LEAK: More info on the Previously leaked NPCs. I’ll just tweet the pictures in parts. You can add comments if you want me to explain. Apex Legends leaks give detailed look at upcoming L-STAR EMG weapon – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks give detailed look at upcoming L-STAR EMG weapon Data miners have been scouring through the Apex Legends game files in search of upcoming items and weapons, and have found what appears to be the finished L-STAR EMG. UPDATE – March 19, 2019 Following the release of the Season 1 update of Apex Legends, some players noticed that the in-game news screen looked a bit different and featured our first official look at the L-STAR weapon. There’s still no word on when it will be released, but with three months left in Season 1, there is plenty of time for it to make its way into the game. Original story is as follows: Apex Legends has quickly become one of the most popular games in the world, meaning fans are always searching for the latest news and hints in regards to what is coming next to the game. While players have been aware of leaks regarding the L-STAR in the past, it appears we have finally gotten a chance to look at the weapon, which is expected to arrive in the game in the near future. Apex Legends fans believed that the L-STAR has been visible in the title screen of Apex Legends since it launched, however these leaks suggest that hasn’t been the case – although they do look similar. The L-STAR has a long barrel on the front of the weapon, with a bipod underneath the gun to help steady it while aiming. The L-STAR also appears to have a large scope on the top, giving players some extra precision while aiming. Thanks to previous leaks, we already know some of the damage statistics of the L-STAR, with the weapon dealing 21 damage to the body, and 42 to the head, making it one of the more powerful weapons in the game. Data miners have also released two of the skins that will be available for the weapon, including the Legendary red skin, which you can view below. There is currently no official release date for L-STAR, but many believe that it will make an appearance when Season 1 launches, which is scheduled to begin at some point in March. As with any leaks, there’s no guarantee that Respawn will actually use them in-game. Make sure to stay tuned to @Dexerto and @TitanfallBlog on Twitter for all the latest Apex Legends news.

Apex Legends leaks reveal Octane Heirloom and new Gibraltar skin – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks reveal Octane Heirloom and new Gibraltar skin Respawn EntertainmentThe latest set of Apex Legends leaks have revealed first looks at upcoming items ranging from a new Heirloom for Octane to a fresh Gibraltar skin. Respawn Entertainment has been releasing a steady flow of content for its popular battle royale title of late, in large part thanks to the launch of Season 4 and the recent revival of original map King’s Canyon. The fresh additions don’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon, however, as brand new leaks have uncovered a slew of cosmetic content set to release in the near future, including new skins and a fresh Heirloom item. Prominent Apex Legends community member and data-miner ‘iLootGames’ has grown a reputation for early leaks after accurately revealing a wide array of content ahead of schedule throughout the game’s lifespan. The latest set of leaks focuses on new cosmetic items that are on the way for both Gibraltar and Octane. The former is the recipient of a curious skin that completely overhauls the visual appearance of the defensive Legend. Rather than simply changing his color scheme or outfitting the character with a slightly altered getup, the leaked skin shaves Gibraltar’s head and appears to give him a new pair of contacts as well as a facial tattoo. The vibrant skin features a black base with yellow and blue flare throughout as the Legend’s ordinary armor has been traded out for a more metallic, mech-based design. Say hello to Captain Gibby, when all legends abilities combine… He’s our hero, gonna take pollution down to zero! pic.twitter.com/FPfnRQq7TR — iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) February 24, 2020 Additionally, the new leaks shed light on an upcoming Heirloom for Octane. While only four Heirloom sets are currently available in the battle royale title, a fifth could well and truly be on the way as one piece of a new set has slipped through the cracks. For those that are lucky enough to unlock the new item, Octane will drop into battle with a sharp blade thanks to the leaked melee weapon skin. The personalized weapon comes imbued with a seemingly lethal dose of Octane’s adrenaline-pumping stim mixture as well, which could be the cherry on top of a close-ranged melee beatdown. Octane heirloom.. this is gonna be some interesting animations lol pic.twitter.com/L9FLLz18S9 — iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) February 24, 2020 There’s no indicating exactly when these items might be made available, but given early looks have been leaked online, it’s likely that Respawn will set out an official update in the near future. Expect enemies to be caught off-guard throughout your first few matches once the items are released, however, as players get used to seeing an entirely different Gibraltar on the map.

Apex Legends leaks confirm “Clubs” feature coming ahead of crossplay – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaks confirm “Clubs” feature coming ahead of crossplay Respawn EntertainmentData miners have leaked that a new “Clubs” feature could soon be on its way to Apex Legends ahead of the long-awaited addition of cross-platform play this fall. There are plenty of online multiplayer titles that feature some sort of clan or guild feature, allowing players to invite like-minded people to teams and equip the same clan tag in-game. It appears as if Respawn is now working on a similar feature called “Clubs” for Apex Legends after more game files were leaked following the Lost Treasures event update. Prominent data miner shrugtal was among the first to share this new feature, explaining that these clubs are possibly being added to cut down the number of solo queue players. “The intent of the system seems to support the fact that Apex is a team game by making it easy to find similar players to party with and reduce the amount of solo queuing,” he added. The data miner also claimed that these clubs would likely be accessible from the main menu and come with its own “club-only chat channel” to organize parties and more. Working on collecting all info possible on this upcoming “”Clubs”” feature I found for Apex Legends. Think like a Clan or Guild. Would actually make a lot of sense, reinforces that the game is meant to be played as a team. Keep a eye out for a vid tomorrow. — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) July 21, 2020 Shrugtal revealed more info about this new feature in his latest YouTube video, highlighting some of the files that have been added in support of this new system. The leak contained files for choosing club IDs, accepting member requests, privacy settings, and much more. He also claimed it is unlikely that these clubs will be forced to have unique names once it is added, meaning there could be multiple clubs with the same name. There are also expected to be different member tiers and higher-ranked members should be given more permissions for tasks like adding or kicking players from the clubs. While there is no release date for this new feature, shrugtal explained that they would likely be looking to introduce it ahead of the crossplay feature in fall, but added that it could come to Apex Legends as early as Season 6. As with all leaks, many of the details shared are still subject to change until it’s officially confirmed.

Apex Legends leakers claim major Rampart buff is in the works – Dexerto
Apex Legends leakers claim major Rampart buff is in the works Respawn EntertainmentWell-known Apex Legends leaker Shrugtal has uncovered a potential buff for Rampart in the battle royale’s game files and, if implemented, it would surely constitute a significant meta shake-up. Since her introduction back in Season 6 of Apex Legends, Rampart has struggled to make a meaningful impact on the battle royale’s meta. Despite the strength and uniqueness of the Sheila turret and her Amped Cover barricades, the naturally defensive nature of them has seen the Amped Modder constantly on the periphery. That has continued into Season 12, where her pick rate is a woeful 1.5% – putting her 20th out of 20 legends. However, following on from some Season 10 buffs, she could be set for a major strengthening if leaked game files come to fruition. According to veteran leaker Shrugtal, multiple buffs for Rampart are present in the game files but did not quite make the most recent update. If the leaker’s information is correct, the potential buff would improve just about every aspect of Rampart’s character, including significant improvements to her Amped Cover Tactical. “Rampart buffs for the Amped Cover in the files that didn’t make the final cut and are currently not in-game,” he said, before outlining the changes that could be made. “Initial building health: 40 -> 120 Upper arm shield extension delay: 0.25 -> 0.10 Front armor deploy duration: 0.5 -> 0.3 Placement delay: 0.5 -> 0.3”. Some considered its post date – April 1 – to be indicative of a prank on Shrugtal’s behalf but, with corresponding game code being shared, it does appear to be in the games files and simply unreleased as of this article’s publication. Rampart buffs for the Amped Cover in the files that didn’t make the final cut and are currently not in-game: Initial building health: 40 -> 120 Upper arm shield extension delay: 0.25 -> 0.10 Front armor deploy duration: 0.5 -> 0.3 Placement delay: 0.5 -> 0.3— Shrugtal (@shrugtal) April 1, 2022 It’s not clear when – or if – Respawn intend to release the buff, but it would represent a major strengthening of one of the BR’s most maligned characters. Season 13 seems a possible release date, expected in early-mid May. Or maybe it’s all an April Fools and the joke’s on us.

Apex Legends leakers are now streaming whole new patches on Twitch – Dexerto
Apex Legends leakers are now streaming whole new patches on Twitch Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends leaks have been getting increasingly outlandish in recent seasons, and has now reached even more outrageous levels, with leakers brazenly broadcasting hours of gameplay on unreleased versions of the game on Twitch. Season 12 of Apex Legends was plagued with leaks revealing new weapons, Legends, heirlooms, cosmetics, and just about anything else you could wish to know. It’s unclear why exactly leaks have become more extreme in 2022, with previous seasons usually limited to blurry screenshots or only data mining – where the files from the PC version of the game could be decrypted to show upcoming content. Now, a handful of leakers are simply posting high-resolution screenshots and videos of unreleased updates, spoiling almost everything that is in the works for future events and seasons. Now, they’re even streaming it on Twitch. Apex leaker streams leaks directly on Twitch On June 15, Twitch account “420AG420” went live for a whole two hours, where they streamed unreleased content early, showing off the 13.1 update (likely to be the very next update coming to Apex Legends). This account is almost certainly the leaker ‘autismgaming420’, who has been the source of a variety of insider leaks for Apex Legends for a number of seasons. Why has leaking become so common in Apex? EA has been known to quickly strike down leaked content with a DMCA notice in the past. But a lot of this leaked insider content is being left untouched. It also begs the question of how such content is being leaked so freely, presumably from sources internal to the studio. Before the launch of Season 13, Respawn actually responded to one of the big leaks but didn’t appear all that bothered about it. “When it comes to things leaking, a lot of that stuff is usually not going to ever see the light of day because it’s stuff that we’re just trying out. The game is full of things that we’re constantly trying, throwing away, changing. Sometimes we even put stuff in specifically for leaks, just to mess with people.” However, if the constant leaking of new content continues, Respawn and EA could have some serious concerns on their hands about driving engagement and excitement through official announcements.

Apex Legends leaker suggests Domination-type game mode is “possibility” in Season 12 – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaker suggests Domination-type game mode is “possibility” in Season 12 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 12 could receive Respawn Entertainment’s iteration of Domination mode, as a reputable leaker confirms the “possibility” of its arrival. Apex Legends has introduced various game modes over the years with the latest offering, Arenas, becoming a huge success since its Season 9 introduction. The intense 3v3 mode is a treat for players looking for some variety and it seems it won’t be the last mode to shake up the battle royale’s formula. Rumors of a Call of Duty-style mode surfaced during Season 10 and now it’s looking like it may release soon. Domination mode hinted with ‘Control’ map Apex Legends leaker Shrugtal previously discovered a game mode codenamed ‘Capture’ back in the 9.1 update but has expanded on this discovery with the reveal of a mode known as ‘Control’. “When Olympus was in rotation there was a bunch of map data about a domination game mode called “Control”, ” began the leaker. Shrugtal noted that the return of the popular Winter Express mode implemented “the loadout system” proposed for the currently unreleased game mode. This inclusion made the leaker suggest that it is “a possibility for Season 12” and could well drop with the rest of the new season’s content. ICYMI When Olympus was in rotation there was a bunch of map data about a domination gamemode called “Control”, which I drew out here. Recently Winter Express was added using the loadout system for this mode, making it a possibility for Season 12? Prob large team sizes ( 9 – 12 ) pic.twitter.com/8sxtHu136B— Shrugtal (@shrugtal) January 20, 2022 Speaking on the game mode team size Shrugtal added that it will be “probably large team sizes ( 9 – 12 ).” Respawn Entertainment has yet to reveal any official news of the exciting game mode, but with Season 12 around the corner and expected in early February, the leaker’s comments have excited many.

Apex Legends leaker says Kings Canyon may return to normal Squads soon – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaker says Kings Canyon may return to normal Squads soon Respawn EntertainmentThe return of Kings Canyon has been confirmed in Apex Legends Season 4, for Ranked Play, although many players would also like to see it come back to public matches as well. So, when is that most likely to happen? Kings Canyon is the original home of the Apex Games and seeing it go back in Season 3 will have been a sad moment for some members of the online community, although one of the most exciting parts of the latest patch notes was that the arena is coming back for Ranked Play. Those who don’t play the Ranked playlist will have been wondering whether or not Respawn Entertainment also have plans to bring it back to Squads, and one reliable leaker has suggested that may be the case. Apex Legends map return date – Ranked Play The original map will be heading back to Apex Legends‘ Ranked Mode, for sure, on March 24. This is going to be part of the game’s second ‘split’ of Ranked Series 3. The patch notes also revealed that halfway through the season, players will notice that rankings will be hit with a “soft reset,” which will include a new Master tier, slotting between Diamond and Predator. Kings Canyon coming back to normal Squads? For normal Squads, though, things aren’t as much set in stone. As far as official announcements go, Kings Canyon doesn’t appear to be set for a comeback in normal playlists just yet. However, reliable data miner That1MiningGuy – who leaked a number of features ahead of time for Season 4, including the introduction of Revenant – has found some things in the data files that suggest a return to public lobbies is actually pretty likely. While it’s not been officially announced just yet, he tweeted: “Judging by some things found today – I can say that I do believe Kings Canyon will be available for both Ranked and Squads whenever the split happens. It will likely be the Season 2 version.” https://twitter.com/That1MiningGuy/status/1225939110315089920 If the leaker is accurate and the map is actually set for a return across all game modes, that would mean that players only have to stick it out until March before having the option to drop into either of the two playable islands. Once things are officially confirmed – if we get to that point – we’ll be the first to let you know.

Apex Legends leak reveals details of Crypto buff finally coming in Season 12 – Dexerto
Apex Legends leak reveals details of Crypto buff finally coming in Season 12 Respawn/EAAn Apex Legends leaker has shed some light on what Crypto’s long-awaited buff will entail, and it looks like he’s going to be pretty strong. When a new legend is introduced to Apex Legends’ roster of characters, they typically quickly vault to the top of the most-played legend charts before slowly sliding back down over time. From there, the Respawn team start adjusting the characters – be it a major nerf or a slight buff. In the case of Crypto, he has been tweaked over time, but he’s remained towards the bottom of the pile when it comes to keeping up with the meta because he’s simply not strong enough. Respawn have been teasing a much-needed buff for quite some time, and after long last, it should be coming in Season 12 – and it looks like it should be worth the worth. Previously, a few Apex Legends developers have stated that Crypto’s big boost would revolve around his drone, but never gone any further than that, leaving players to conjure up ideas of their own. Now, according to claims from Apex Legends leaker Thordan Smash, the buff appears to have been settled on, giving Crypto the chance to throw EMP blasts with his drone whenever. “He (Crypto) can Insta throw his emp blast,” the leaker tweeted. “Imagine a Rev totem with a jump pad and crypto stunning and knocking shields without going into drone.” He can Insta throw his emp blast. Imagine a rev totem with a jump pad and crypto stunning and knocking shields without going into drone. — Thordan Smash (@Thordansmash) January 30, 2022 While Respawn haven’t confirmed anything just yet, the leaker has proven to be pretty reliable previously, so there is little reason to suggest he’d be wrong this time around. Obviously, we’ll have to wait until the long-awaited buff actually goes live to see just how effective and brutal it might be, but it’s sounding pretty daunting. Though, it should definitely inject some life into Crypto’s pick rate with fans.

Apex Legends leaker hints at new dates for Crossplay & Aftermarket event – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaker hints at new dates for Crossplay & Aftermarket event Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends leaker has hinted at new dates for the release of crossplay and the upcoming Aftermarket event, after it was seemingly delayed by Respawn developers. The highly anticipated cross-platform play or ‘crossplay’ feature was initially teased to arrive in Apex Legends alongside the in-game ‘Aftermarket’ event, the game’s Nintendo Switch release, and Steam debut, all on September 15. However, as the rumored Aftermarket event and crossplay feature have not yet appeared in Apex Legends, it was suggested that they were not ready and could have been delayed by Respawn. The September Soiree has now seemingly taken the Aftermarket event’s place, bringing back Grand Soiree skins for the sale and classic LTMs like Armed and Dangerous. Prominent Apex leaker shrugtal, who was first to reveal many details about the planned event and crossplay, explained these delays and hinted at a new date for Aftermarket. “The Aftermarket event was scheduled to arrive on the 15th of September, but due to delays with features that are meant to come out with it, namely crossplay and Switch/Steam release, it had to be pushed back,” he explained in his latest upload. After claiming that it was likely development issues that caused Respawn to miss the supposed release window for Apex Legends crossplay, shrugtal explained that the next chance Respawn would have to release the major Aftermarket event would be on October 13. The leaker revealed that he had uncovered more files pointing towards this date and added that fans “should be seeing crossplay/Steam/Switch when Aftermarket does go live.” He also claimed that Apex Legends will be getting another Halloween event shortly after the Aftermarket event, also sharing that some of the skins planned for late October hint at a Town Takeover coming soon. As always, it is worth noting that many of these leaks are subject to change and players can’t be certain about crossplay or similar features until Respawn eventually decides to release them in-game.

Apex Legends leaker finds unreleased “Armorsmith” hop-up to boost shield – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaker finds unreleased “Armorsmith” hop-up to boost shield Respawn/EAA brand-new hop-up attachment for the Alternator and RE-45 that help boost shields looks to be coming soon, according to a new leak from Apex Legends dataminer Shrugtal. While Warzone and PUBG give players the chance to customize their weapon in a number of different ways, Apex Legends does things a little differently. Every gun can take a sight, but other attachments like barrels, extended magazines, and chokes are restricted to certain weapons. That’s the same for hop-ups as well. These attachments change the way certain guns fire, helping them fire off more accurate shots and do more damage. As Respawn have added new seasons, new hop-ups have been introduced, and it looks like they’ve got plans for another. Reputable Apex Legends leaker and dataminer Shrugtal tweeted that a hop-up with the name Armorsmith was added in the latest patch from Respawn, and looked to be for the Alternator and RE-45. Read More: All Explosive Hold locations on Kings Canyon – Some fans immediately assumed that the hop-up would work in a similar way to the Disruptor Rounds hop-up, which helped deal more damage to enemies with shields on, and could be attached to both the Alternator and RE-45. Though, the hop-up was removed in Season 3. Instead, the leaker clarified what it seems like the hop-up would do. “I don’t think this will increase the damage the gun does, just the amount it contributes to leveling up your shield,” he tweeted. Right it seems like I have to be clearer because everyone is immediately thinking of Disruptor rounds. I don’t think this will increase the damage the gun does, just the amount it contributes to leveling up your shield. — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) February 5, 2021

Apex Legends leaker confirms previously uncovered weapon will drop with Season 16 – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaker confirms previously uncovered weapon will drop with Season 16 RespawnApex Legends Season 16 information has finally confirmed the addition of a previously leaked assault rifle – the burst fire Nemesis AR. Apex Legends Season 15 – primarily due to its lack of buffs or nerfs for any Legend – bucked the trend for Respawn’s BR. It is also set to be the longest season in recent memory, with Season 16 not anticipated to drop until early February. As a result, leaks and rumors about the upcoming season have been piling up. We’re expecting serious Legend class changes and another legend. New information has now confirmed that a previously leaked weapon will finally drop with Season 16. Apex Legends leaker confirms Nemesis AR will come in Season 16 The weapon in question is the Nemesis AR – a burst fire weapon. It originally leaked way back in September 2021, when it featured in a Collection Event trailer. Now, reputable leaker Thordan Smash – who has correctly revealed a plethora of Apex Legends info ahead of time in the past – has revealed it will finally come with Season 16. He said: “Apex Legends [is] finally getting the Nemesis in Season 16. That is all.” He even attached an image of the expected weapon design, based on its past appearance in leaked footage. Naturally, the news will remain unconfirmed until Respawn or EA make it official. Plenty can change in the development process and, given it leaked way back in 2021, it’s not out of the question that it’s been delayed before and could be held back again. There might also be another weapon on the way soon. In November 2022, a site that makes Apex Legends skins accidentally shared images of an unreleased SMG. Although Respawn quickly clamped down on the images’ circulation, it looks set to join the Nemesis in a future season. In short, the Apex Legends weapon pool might be about to get slightly larger.

Apex Legends leaker claims World’s Edge & Fragment are finally getting map changes – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaker claims World’s Edge & Fragment are finally getting map changes Respawn/EAAccording to a new leak, World’s Edge and Storm Point are both set to receive some changes in Apex Legends, and Fragment also looks to be undergoing a long-awaited overhaul. Respawn Entertainment have given Apex Legends players five maps to play with now – Kings Canyon, World’s Edge, Olympus, Storm Point, and Broken Moon – but the original two stand above the rest for some players. In the case of World’s Edge, it’s been through its ups and down with the Apex community. It was initially loved upon release back in Season 3, before map changes quickly turned the tide against it. Respawn have continually changed the map over the last year or so and it has remained a key part of the map rotation. While some players absolutely adore the map once again, others still have a big issue with Fragment. Fragment ‘Streamer Building’ set for changes in Apex Legends The Fragment part of World’s Edge is typically where you’ll find the hot droppers. They zero in on three buildings around the center of the POI, including one which has become known as the ‘streamer building’ because of how many content creators focus on it when they play. Well, that could finally be changing before long, as Thordan Smash says that Respawn have got some changes lined up for World’s Edge. “Enjoy Apex Legends Worlds Edge while you can, from what I heard Fragment would be updated and that streamer building would be gone,” the YouTuber tweeted on December 14. He also noted that Wattson is in line to get a Town Takeover, but that’ll come at the Lightning Rod POI on Storm Point. There’s no timeline mentioned for these changes, but some content creators have already started talking about changes coming in Season 16 as there has apparently been a play test for it. So, we’ll have to wait and see if it happens before long.

Apex Legends leaker claims Heirloom weapon skins are coming – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaker claims Heirloom weapon skins are coming Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends leaker has claimed that Respawn are planning to add a new tier of weapons skins for guns, at the same rarity as Heirlooms. There is plenty of choice for players when it comes to customizing their favorite Apex Legends characters or weapons, and Respawn are always releasing new cosmetic items to keep the game fresh. The cosmetics for characters and weapons are divided into classes, based on how rare they can be to find, and new leaks are suggesting that some more ultra-rare items could be coming. Heirloom weapon skins? The Heirloom melee weapons for certain characters are the rarest items that can be unlocked in Apex Legends and, typically, there is only one of them released for a single Legend, each season. However, while melee weapons are the only type of Heirloom cosmetics currently available, Apex leaker “SomeoneWhoLeaks” has revealed that ranged Heirloom skins for the different guns in-game might be next. The leaker revealed that the rumor apparently stemmed from an investor inside EA before reminding Apex Legends fans that it has still yet to be confirmed by Respawn. https://twitter.com/SomeoneWhoLeaks/status/1321657190910955521 “Rumor has it that heirloom weapon skins are coming,” they explained, “this comes from some investors in EA, so take it with a grain of salt.” Read More: What’s coming in Apex Legends Season 7? – The Apex leaker added that these would simply be released as ranged weapon skins but was unsure if they would be released through Heirloom Shards, similarly to the melee weapons that have already been released. weapon skins of the heirloom rarity – not sure how it would work as of right now — SWL (@SomeoneWhoLeaks) October 29, 2020 They also revealed that the timeline for when these potential Heirloom skins are coming is still unclear, which makes it unlikely that we will see them for the start of Season 7 on November 4. While little has been revealed about these ultra-rare weapon skins, it is worth noting that nothing is set in stone and we won’t know for sure until Respawn officially release the rumored cosmetics. SomeoneWhoLeaks has previously leaked Bangalore’s weapon heirloom, although we’re still to see this arrive in-game.

Apex Legends leaker claims class overhaul and Legend reworks may come in Season 16 – Dexerto
Apex Legends leaker claims class overhaul and Legend reworks may come in Season 16 Respawn EntertainmentRecent leaks have claimed that Respawn Entertainment may bring a major overhaul to both classes and Legends during Season 16 of Apex Legends. With Apex Legends receiving few updates to close out 2022, the community is already speculating what Season 16 may have in store for the battle royale. Some leakers have claimed that Respawn Entertainment is looking to make some big changes to World’s Edge by removing some major parts of the Fragment POI. However, it seems World’s Edge isn’t the only thing getting changed if leaks are to be believed, as one leak claimed Respawn is planning a major class system overhaul alongside multiple Legend reworks. Apex Legends leak claims massive class overhaul in the works The leak comes by way of content creator Thordansmash on Twitter, though the name of the original leaker seems to have been omitted. Thordansmash tweeted out an image of leaked info with the caption: “The new classes in Apex Legends have another leaker putting out info about them…and I’m all for it. Pathfinder finally getting a solid rework baby.” The leak claims that Respawn is planning to overhaul Apex’s current class system away from Attack, Defense, Support, and Recon to give roles a bit more variation. According to the leak, Respawn is planning to add the “Assualt” and “Skirmisher” classes to differentiate Attack Legends. Additionally, Defense Legends like Wattson, Caustic, and Rampart will now be classified as “Control” Legends, while Gibby and Newcastle will shift to the Support class alongside Loba and Lifeline. Finally, the leak claimed that Pathfinder and “possibly even Mirage” will receive reworks when these class changes arrive. As for the two new roles, Assualt and Skirmisher, Assault Legends “will get red bins AND extra inventory ammo” while Skirmisher Legends will include more Legends mobility and “hit and run type” Legends, like Wraith and Mirage. The leak also referred to Thordansmash and claimed that they had “said all of this before in the past and this lines up perfectly to what I’ve heard, read, and been told.” Of course, these leaks are still unconfirmed so fans should definitely view them with some skepticism. Regardless of if they are true or not, Apex Legends’ class system could definitely use an overhaul after nearly four years and over 15 new Legends added to the game.

Apex Legends leaked skins for new events: War Games, Chinatown Market, Golden Week Respawn EntertainmentFollowing the Chaos Theory event update for Apex Legends, a bunch of unreleased Legend skins and cosmetics have been leaked by data miners, set to release during multiple upcoming events and crossovers. These include War Games, Golden Week, and a collab with Chinatown Market. Chaos Theory is already the second event of Season 8, following the Anniversary Collection event which ran in February. But, according to leaks, there is still a bunch more planned following Chaos Theory, all before we even get to Season 9. Although we don’t know exactly what these future events will entail, data miners have uncovered a variety of unreleased skins in the game files. Wraith Heirloom recolor in Apex Legends revealed: Hope’s Dawn – Dexerto
Wraith Heirloom recolor in Apex Legends revealed: Hope’s Dawn Respawn EntertainmentRespawn has confirmed what leakers already revealed, with a new version of Wraith’s Kunai heirloom releasing in the Imperial Guard Collection event. The new version won’t replace the old one, but does come with some unique new content. In total, there are now 16 Heirlooms in Apex Legends with the latest one arriving for Seer with the Spellbound Collection event. While the majority of characters on the roster now have their very own mythic cosmetic, it all started with Wraith and her iconic Kunai. But, the knife didn’t include the incredible animations and countless interactions that the new Heirlooms feature, so Respawn decided to show the old Kunai some love. Respawn is finally releasing the first Heirloom recolors, starting with Wraith’s, and players can get it for half the price of other heirlooms in the Imperial Guard Collection event. Wraith’s Kunai Heirloom recolor The new Kunai will be available as a reward in the Imperial Guard Collection event. As this event is for the anniversary, and it’s not a brand-new heirloom, there is also a discount available. Instead of the usual crafting costs, everything will require 50% less metals. In addition to the blade itself, the heirloom pack will also include a new Mythic emote, and a Mythic Banner. Explaining their reason to release the recolor version, Respawn said, “Apex Legends is ever-changing. With the recent fourth anniversary of Apex Legends, we brought some major shake-ups to the game. We are continuing our philosophy of taking learnings from the last four years to ensure the game continually feels fresh and new for players across all aspects of the game. “Wraith’s Kunai was first added to the game in 2019 with the introduction of Heirlooms. Since then, we have expanded what Heirlooms look and feel like in the game. To bring Wraith’s Heirloom up to a place that’s more in line with our recent Heirloom releases, we’re revitalizing her Kunai and introducing Wraith’s new “Hope’s Dawn” Heirloom!” Wraith receives new kunai animations In an unannounced update on February 14, the developers unveiled new Kunai animations for Wraith. The update was delivered on both fronts, providing new colors for the knives and a few new animations for the character. The first animation flipped the knives while another dove into the game’s lore and looked at a case file for Wattson. These new animations will also be the same on the new Kunai.

Apex Legends leak suggests “Tropic Island” will be new battle royale map – Dexerto
Apex Legends leak suggests “Tropic Island” will be new battle royale map Respawn EntertainmentRespawn is set to add a brand-new “Tropic Island” map to Apex Legends in the near future, according to new map-pack code strings added to the battle royale’s backend following the Season 6 update on August 18. Little is known about the new ‘Tropic Island’ map so far beyond its recently-discovered string code. The string reads “MP_RR_TROPIC_ISLAND_DESC,” which is the same as Kings Canyon and World’s Edge in the Apex Legends core code. In fact, the newly-added code is actually right next to World’s Edge in the same map-pack folder. The strings were uncovered by Apex Legends data miners Shrugtal and Biast12 soon after the August 18 patch went live. Nothing else has been found in the code relating to Tropic Island yet, Dexerto has confirmed with the dataminers. This makes sense too; when World’s Edge was first added, it remained as the solitary map file for multiple patches in a row. it looks like Tropic Island is a new map! pic.twitter.com/PP92X947HG — Biast12 (@Biast12) August 18, 2020 Apex Legends fans will certainly be excited to hear a new map has been added to the battle royale backend code too. Players were fairly disappointed when Respawn confirmed World’s Edge would be getting a “revamp,” instead of an all-new map arriving in Season 6. The “revamp” news stung doubly as hard considering all the evidence that had been building for a new city-scape “Olympus” battlefield. It had been teased in the Season 5 storyline, and in multiple trailers and gameplay videos. While Olympus may have been shelved for now — insiders have suggested it was never set for a Season 6 release — “Tropic Island” does have a little more evidence behind it. The name certainly evokes a certain visual too. Kings Canyon and World’s Edge both boast sand and tropical swamps respectively, but this new “tropic” map could go some distance to combining those two elements together. Funnily enough, a “tropical jungle map” is something Apex fans have been requesting for a fair while now too. In April, Redditor NizzyDeniro suggested a tropic map could have “dense” jungles with vines that work like zip lines.” They wrote they’d love to see “giant trees… for good sniping and stealth, long, mid, and short-range battles. Caves… lit by glowing crystals, and with holes in the ceilings. Shallow lakes… waterfalls… [and] a rotating sailboat that just floats around the map.” Well, it looks like that could be a possibility sooner than expected, if Respawn does end up building on this “Tropic Island” map code. There’s been no official confirmation, of course, but it does seem to be on its way, for now.

Apex Legends leak suggests team gifting system could be coming soon – Dexerto
Apex Legends leak suggests team gifting system could be coming soon Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players could soon be given the option to gift or transfer items to teammates, if new leaked information is to be believed. The popular battle royale game, which has attracted a player base of over 50 million people since its shock release on February 4, has already launched its first Battle Pass with a whole host of new content for fans to dig into. Yet, Respawn Entertainment could be about to go one step further and add a gifting feature to the game that could set it apart from rival titles Fortnite and PUBG. The new leak, which has been posted to Twitter by @RealApexLeaks, shows files named ‘team_money_transfer’ and ‘team_money_transfer_hidden’, which has left data miners scratching their heads about what it could be eluding to. While it might be pure speculation, this could be a gifting tool for teams to send each other different content or perhaps even some of the different types of Apex Legends currencies. Other leaked information hints at the developer working on a new map, as well as dragons swarming into King’s Canyon in the near future. However, we’ll have to wait and see if any of these come to fruition.

Apex Legends leak suggests Revenant is getting an Heirloom next – Dexerto
Apex Legends leak suggests Revenant is getting an Heirloom next Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends data miner believes they may have uncovered unreleased voice lines that suggest that Revenant will be the next character to receive an Heirloom item. Since Apex Legends launched, fans of the battle royale have been trying to collect incredibly rare items so that they stand out from the crowd. Aside from skins and other cosmetics, the rarest items come in the form of Heirlooms. These Heirloom sets were previously confined to Apex Packs – and you were guaranteed to get one after you opened 500 packs, if you hadn’t got one already. But, they’re made a little easier to get with the introduction of shards. As the hype for Season 5 is growing and fans are guessing which character will be given the next heirloom set, it appears as if some have already found the answer. Reddit user rikbiswas742 claimed to have uncovered a long list of in-game voice lines for Revenant that all have the same ‘killed an enemy with an Heirloom’ description. In the quick clips that are played, the Synthetic Nightmare can be heard repeating quips like “spilled blood” and “I enjoyed every moment of that” as well as an even more sinister-sounding “I like the way they scream.” Obviously, these sound like lines that Revenant would call out after getting a kill, but there isn’t a noise for equipping the heirloom like there is with Wraith’s Kunai or Pathfinder’s boxing gloves. Some earlier leaks had suggested that Crypto would be the character to receive an Heirloom next, though these voice lines might just mean the end of those hopes. Although, it’s likely Respawn are working on multiple heirloom ideas at the same time. Fans have speculated that should Revenant be the one to get an Heirloom, the glass shard in his neck, or the razor that he was shaving himself with in the season four trailer, would be perfect and fit the current crop of melee weapons. However, as with any Apex leak, it is worth taking this with a pinch of salt until season five goes live and Respawn themselves confirm the next heirloom. Players don’t have all that long to wait until that point anyway, as the next season is set to get underway on Tuesday, May 12.

Apex Legends leak suggests a new map is being worked on – Dexerto
Apex Legends leak suggests a new map is being worked on Data miners have found new game files added to Apex Legends which suggest a new map, or possibly multiple maps, are being developed by Respawn, for the popular battle royale game. Since the update for Season 1 of Apex Legends released on March 19, data miners have been busy digging through the game files to uncover more ‘leaks’ about what Respawn Entertainment has planned. There’s already been new details on the leaked weapon, the L-STAR EMG, plus more battle pass rewards discovered by data miners too. The possibility of a new map, in addition to King’s Canyon, has been circling for a while, as well as a leak that suggested a ‘night’ version of the map might also be added. Following the update on March 19, leakers found clues that hint towards at least one more map option being added, with a ‘map selector’ file. Additionally, there were also other files such as ‘map_button’ and map_zone_intro_title’, which would perhaps be used as players load into the map. Also we might be seeing more maps. That’s gonna be amazing I think. #ApexLegends #Apexpartner #apexnews #Apexleaks #ApexLegendsBattleRoyale #apexlegendsseason1 #apexlegendsleaks #apexlegendsclips #Apex pic.twitter.com/mjSGPyRlwa — Apex Legends – News & Leaks (@RealApexLeaks) March 20, 2019 A ‘Night mode’ was confirmed to be in development after a previous leak, so it’s possible that it might not be a whole new map, but perhaps some time of day or weather options for King’s Canyon? More: $25,000 T1 x FACEIT Apex Legends Invitational – schedule, players, how to watch, format and more – As with any leak, there’s no guarantee that any of this will see the light of day in-game, as developers will often work on things in the backend, but not always necessarily finalizing them and releasing to the player base.

Apex Legends leak suggests new Explosive Lobber hop up coming in Season 13 – Dexerto
Apex Legends leak suggests new Explosive Lobber hop up coming in Season 13 Respawn EntertainmentA new Apex Legends leak has hinted that Respawn may be releasing the Explosive Lobber hop up in Season 13. Season 13 of Apex Legends is finally on the horizon and the community is attempting to piece together all of the teasers and leaks before the arrival of the major update. While all clues point toward Newcastle being the new character and map changes coming to Storm Point, there’s still a lot that we don’t know about the upcoming season. However, a new discovery from the huge leaks back in March may have just uncovered Respawn’s plans to add a new hop up in Season 13. While nothing has been confirmed, a lot of players are convinced it is the Explosive Lobber that was first uncovered in the files back in Season 11. Is the Explosive Lobber coming to Apex in Season 13? Back in January, reliable Apex Legends dataminer KralRindo found references to the “Explosive Lobber” hop up in the game files that can be attached to the L-STAR. https://twitter.com/kralrindo/status/1479800951288606722?ref_src=twsrctfwtwcamptweetembedtwterm1479800951288606722twgrtwcons1_&ref_url=httpswww.dexerto.comapex-legendsapex-legends-leak-reveals-new-explosive-hops-up-laser-sights-1736752 At the time, a lot of players assumed this attachment would arrive in Season 12, but it wasn’t added or mentioned by the devs in Defiance. Now, while watching the Divided Moon map leak that appeared in March, Reddit user IUmPotatos noticed that the L-STAR had a hop-up slot in the clip. This suggests that Respawn has been testing or developing the Explosive Lobber in the backend and that it could possibly be added in Season 13 alongside Newcastle. Of course, any hints or rumors about the Explosive Lobber should be taken with a pinch of salt, as the hop-up may have been scrapped. However, the appearance of a hop-up slot for the L-STAR is an interesting discovery and may mean the underused LMG could be a top-tier weapon in Season 13. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see, but with less than three weeks until the major update drops, it’s worth keeping your eyes peeled for any more in-game teasers.

Apex Legends leak suggests long-awaited feature coming in Season 15 – Dexerto
Apex Legends leak suggests long-awaited feature coming in Season 15 Respawn/EAGifting might finally be coming to Apex Legends in Season 15 after a data miner managed to uncover some of the in-game logos used for it. Over the last few months, plenty of leaks have surfaced for Apex Legends, revealing the next couple of legends, weapons, a new map, and even a whole host of new features. Plenty of these leaks have been proven correct – seeing as we now have Vantage as a legend, there is a Gun Game-style limited-time mode, and there are new animations for healing. The ability to gift items, which has been in other battle royales like Fortnite for a while, was also confirmed as being in the works by Respawn a few seasons ago, but has yet to appear in Apex Legends. Though, that might be changing once Season 15 rolls around. Gifting might finally come in Apex Legends Season 15 That’s right, the long-awaited gifting feature might soon appear in-game, given that YouTuber Garrett has managed to uncover some of the icons that Respawn will be using for it in-game. “It seems like it’s coming next season,” the YouTuber said in his September 25 video. “When I was doing a little data mining, I found this file. After asking a few people, this is the icon for gifting. This seems to be what you will see when you receive a gift, so showing that it’s already in the files is huge, plus, there is a news tab with a notification on it.” The YouTuber threw together a little mock-up for what things might look like in-game once you’ve received a gift from a friend, and it’s pretty much what you’d imagine that Respawn might come up with. Given that the icons are in the files, it appears that Respawn is all set to launch it in-game, but it hasn’t yet been confirmed for Season 15. The new season isn’t set to begin until the start of November, so we won’t know until the end of October as to which new things are dropping with the update. So, we’ll just have to sit tight for now.

Apex Legends leak suggests Free For All game mode could be in development – Dexerto
Apex Legends leak suggests Free For All game mode could be in development Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends leak has hinted that Respawn could be developing a Free For All game mode to be added in a future season. After countless requests across multiple seasons from the community, Respawn finally added a new LTM in Defiance with the 9v9 Control LTM. Although the mode is being removed in early March, it’s received an overwhelming amount of praise and has only got players wanting more game modes in the future. Well, according to a reliable Apex dataminer, the devs could be planning exactly that, as a set of files have been discovered that suggest a Free For All style mode could be in development. Respawn could be working on an Apex Free For All mode Apex Legends leaker and dataminer Kralrindo has discovered a new mode in the files called “FreeDM”. While the leak doesn’t provide a huge amount of details, the name suggests the LTM could be a Free For All mode. Not only that, the files mention “killing spree”, “score event”, and “point value”, hinting the mode completely revolves around the number of kills acquired, which would make sense for FFA. Despite this, the mention of “killing spree” and “colony wall run” are both features from Titanfall 2, so it’s possible this is just old leftover code. However, the mention of Season 12 in these specific files suggests otherwise, so it’s very possible Respawn is working on another gamemode for a future event or season. https://twitter.com/kralrindo/status/1495137392851832840 After the success of Control, it wouldn’t be a surprise to find out that the devs were working on another LTM. A Free For All mode may even satisfy players who have been asking for a solo BR experience, something that Respawn has confirmed they’re not keen on adding. Either way, this is definitely a leak to take with a pinch of salt – but who knows, a FFA mode could be on the cards for Season 13. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Apex Legends leak suggests infamous Titanfall 2 explosive could return – Dexerto
Apex Legends leak suggests infamous Titanfall 2 explosive could return Respawn EntertainmentThe infamous explosive frag drones, known as ‘Ticks,’ from Titanfall 2 may be set to hit Apex Legends servers soon according to new leaked game files. As the hype is beginning to ramp again for the next season of Apex Legends, Respawn has revealed that they have plenty of content planned after confirming that they are already testing ideas for as far as Season 8. With Season 5 presumably dropping on May 5, fans have been wondering just what is in store for the popular battle royale and according to leaks by iLootGames one of the classic Titanfall items could be next. The ‘Tick’ frag drone has plagued many gamers during its time in Titanfall 2, as the automated drone would seek out any nearby targets and explode, often dealing fatal damage with few ways to counter. Data miner iLootGames revealed that the Tick could be set to return during one of the upcoming seasons after finding game files hinting at the possibility. “Oh crap, those that played Titanfall know how annoying these guys can be. Looks like we may be getting them in the future,” he added, revealing an image of the files. oh crap, those that played titanfall know how annoying these guys can be. Looks like we may be getting them in the future. pic.twitter.com/wejESb5TDY — iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) April 7, 2020 The leaked frag drone would likely resemble some of the rare Loot Ticks that were found in Kings Canyon, which wandered around the map containing valuable loot for any players lucky enough to find one. Are frag drones really coming to Apex Legends? This isn’t actually the first time these Frag Drones have been leaked for Apex Legends, as it was revealed that Respawn devs were possibly looking at ways to implement the automated drone during Season 1. Back in March 2019, just after the game launched, another leaker also found files for the Frag Drone, and claimed that they were not just leftovers, because they were in the same location as both the L-Star and Havoc rifles. ^ that image is from the same file that the L-Star and Havoc was leaked from — Apex Legends ~ Leaks & News (@ApexLeaksNews) March 17, 2019 Little is known about what role the “Ticks” will play inside Apex Legends if they are added, however, as it is still unclear whether they would be player activated or just scattered around the map similar to the Loot Ticks. Ticks were notorious in Titanfall for their massive explosive radius and it is likely that Respawn would need to tone the powerful drone down quite a bit if they are to be added to Apex Legends.

Apex Legends leak shows Respawn testing Titanfall 2 weapon in-game – Dexerto
Apex Legends leak shows Respawn testing Titanfall 2 weapon in-game Respawn EntertainmentA new Apex Legends leak apparently shows Respawn testing out a Titanfall 2 weapon in-game before it eventually makes its way to live servers. Apex is technically a sort of sequel to the Titanfall games, and not just because both are made by Respawn Entertainment. They also take place in the same universe, with the battle royale picking up a few years after the end of TF2. Now the FPS is coming back with Season 9 content already being confirmed by devs, and on April 9, a new image from Apex leaker Biast12 apparently shows Titanfall 2’s EPG weapon already being tested. The EPG-1 or “Energy Propelled Grenade” works somewhat like a mix of a grenade launcher and a rocket launcher, with projectiles having a very low, but definitely observable drop. In Titanfall 2, it was a one-hit kill on basically any non-mech character if you got the shot close enough, and also did very heavy damage in its blast radius as well. The energy weapon will probably be getting nerfed and balanced for its arrival to Apex, at least we hope so, as the EPG shown in the leaked image has a five round magazine — which would definitely be overkill if it could still just one-shot you. Biast added that the the testing for the EPG was still “kinda early stage,” hence the reused asset from Titanfall 2 in the screenshot, which we hope Respawn thinks about keeping in, if for nothing more than a bit of nostalgia. They’re testing the EPG in Apex rn, it’s kinda early stage, tho here is a reused ui asset from Titanfall 2 of the EPG in apex for test pic.twitter.com/Dy1NWRulhA — Biast12 (@Biast12) April 9, 2021 When will the EPG arrive? That’s an easy one, as we already know a ton of Titanfall content will be arriving after Season 8. So, next question, when is Season 9 starting? Well, considering the Season 8 Battle Pass is scheduled to end on May 3, it will probably get going shortly after that. The EPG might just be the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Titanfall content in Season 9, with more leaks on an all-but-confirmed upcoming character named Blisk, who might arrive with a big surprise of his own.

Apex Legends leak shows first look at Loba’s ability animations – Dexerto
Apex Legends leak shows first look at Loba’s ability animations EAIn a video posted by Apex Legends leaker iLootGames, players are able to get their first glimpse at what could be the upcoming character Loba’s tactical ability animation. Season 4 may have only just recently kicked off and introduced Revenant, but fans always have their eyes set towards the future and early signs are beginning to point at Loba as the next addition to the battle royale. She has been in the files for months now, but with her ability animation just now being discovered, it looks like she’s getting closer to an official release. In fact, this Legend was first introduced to players as Rosie but has now become to be known as Loba. While she hasn’t officially been unveiled by Respawn as of yet, fans caught what is believed to be a glimpse of her origin story in Revenant’s cinematic trailer. Whether or not it’s actually her remains to be seen, but there’s no denying that whenever she does join the cast, she’ll be one to definitely keep your eyes on. The leaker’s video shows what it’ll look like from a first-person perspective when Loba throws her teleportation disc. This ability is presumed to allow her to teleport to wherever she throws her projectile, so it sounds like it’ll be something that can break into the meta in a big way. She will have more abilities to help her stand out from the rest of the pack, but for now, this remains the only leak we’ve seen on that front. Keep in mind that she’s just one of many characters that have been leaked and datamined, so there’s no guarantee she’ll even be the next character to be released. Remember that the developers like to be tricky as everybody thought Forge was going to be the Season 4 legend, only to have unceremoniously killed off and replaced with Revenant. In fact, we still don’t know with absolute certainty whether or not the bulky character is even gone for good, so perhaps a resurrection could be in the cards going forward. In terms of when we might see Loba, Forge, or whoever the next new Legend turns out get added to the game, the new midseason split format could be a good opportunity for Respawn to add in a second character in Season 4, which obviously wasn’t the case for the first three seasons. As with everything the devs do nowadays, we’ll just have to wait and see how this all develops.
