  • Apex Legends fan creates incredible Wraith design with an anime twist – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan creates incredible Wraith design with an anime twist Apex Legends has been remade in numerous styles from its highly talented community, but a new take on Wraith could be the best to come out so far. Respawn Entertainment released their battle royale on February 4 and the community’s artistic members have been running away with the game’s Legends by coming up with impressive renditions for them all. In a Reddit post, artist Pikat reimagined the Interdimensional Skirmisher by making her face and features pop with a lively anime style. Pikat did away with the dull colors from Apex Legends and completely revitalized the character’s look and feel with a vibrant palette that brings out a kind of child-like essense to the character. Even though Pikat’s design choice makes Wraith look a bit younger, she somehow appears even more deadlier and menacing than in the game. Read more: Rogue upsets dizzy, KingRichard, and Aceu to win $500,000 Twitch Rivals Apex Legends tournament – The artist gave their version of Wraith huge anime style eyes with more prominent grey irises that stare into your soul. It looks like the artist put a bit of blush on Wraith’s cheeks, but that did very little to brighten up the natural dead stare the Legend seems to always have. Pikat also included energy emitting from Wraith’s hand and a wildly flowing scarf to add a bit more flair to one of the game’s most popular Legends. Some commenters on Reddit loved the artist’s take on Wraith, but said the design reminded them of another popular ninja character from One Punch Man. The artist admitted that while they were drawing their Wraith design, they too were reminded of the ninja Speed-O’-Sound Sonic from the hit anime, saying: “ I thought I was drawing Sonic while I was drawing this half the time. They do have super similar designs, after all.” The artist’s creation left a lot of fans wanting more, so it’s a good thing Pikat was already planning to draw up the rest of the Apex Legends cast which will undoubtedly be as great as their take on Wraith.

  • Apex Legends fan shows off the most impressive Mirage cosplay yet – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan shows off the most impressive Mirage cosplay yet Not only is Apex Legends a popular game, but its selection of characters make for excellent cosplay opportunities, as we saw with this Mirage outfit. As players wait for Season 2 of Apex Legends to drop, fans have found other ways to keep occupied with their time. Given that Respawn Entertainment has made an incredibly unique set of characters, cosplayers have been given the perfect opportunity to make costumes of their favorite characters. Sending out a bamboozle Mirage is one of the easier Legends to cosplay, mostly because he’s a human so a lot of the hard work is already done. A user on Reddit who goes by Lyonz91 showed off his impressive Mirage cosplay from MegaCon Orlando. It’s pretty hard to find any faults with the outfit, but you can judge for yourself below. Apex Legends is a lot like Overwatch from strictly a cosplay standpoint. Overwatch allows for many cosplay opportunities thanks to the vast selection of Heroes. Apex Legends is following right behind and could continue to keep up if new Legends are introduced to the game. Respawn said a new Legend will be arriving with Season 2, but we still have to wait for the official unveiling. When is Season 2 coming? Apex Legends Season 2 will be revealed at E3 2019 during EA’s press conference, which is probably when we can expect to learn more about what’s included and hopefully get a release date. Respawn said a new Legend, map points of interest, weapons and an improved Battle Pass can all be expected with Season 2. Shroud said he has played the new Legend but warns fans to not get their hopes up too much. The only thing fans need to know now is if it’ll be enough to keep the interest.

  • Apex Legends fan shares awesome concepts for new Legends ahead of rumored Octane release – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan shares awesome concepts for new Legends ahead of rumored Octane release Respawn EntertainmentWhile players wait for news on the newest legend coming to Apex Legends, some fans have been hard at work creating original characters for their new favorite game. There are a number of theories about the who the next legend will be, including several leaks for a character known as ‘Octane.’ As fans wait for more news or confirmation on a new hero from Respawn, one creative player called mrmng on Reddit decided to make their own original legends. Mrmng created a total of four new legend concepts named: “Xiao Long,” “Shroud,” “Wulf,” and “Shogun.” Xiao Long would be a grenade-focused legend, with abilities that increase the range and damage of thrown ordinances. It’s clear mrmng is fan of Twitch streamer Michael “shroud” Grzesiek, because their ‘Shroud’ character is based on him, and even uses the streamer’s logo for the legend’s ultimate ability. Shogun appears very similar to Gibraltar, using shields and barriers to protect teammates. He also has an ability that applies temporary shields based on the amount of damage he deals out. Finally, Wülf, is a legend who can greatly increase teammates movement speed, and his ultimate is movable shield for defending allies, similar to that of Gibraltar. We still don’t know exactly what the new legend will consist of or when they’ll come out, but with the amount of hype from the community, Respawn should be dropping the news soon.

  • Apex Legends fan recreates World’s Edge in Minecraft & it looks incredible – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan recreates World’s Edge in Minecraft & it looks incredible Respawn Entertainment / MojangOne insanely dedicated Apex Legends fan took the time to recreate parts of World’s Edge, two fan-favorite weapons, and even some of the game’s Legends — with their unique abilities — in a mind-blowing Minecraft crossover. There’s almost nothing fans of any game love more than a good crossover event. Whether its a small easter egg tying two games together, or a massive combination of different franchises like Fortnite’s continued collaboration with Marvel, fans will eat up a good crossover any day. A game focused on empowering its players to create interesting worlds, Minecraft has become home to a number of unique crossovers with other titles. One super-fan used Minecraft as the setting for their very own Apex Legends-inspired collaboration, with truly jaw-dropping results. In a post shared on the Apex Legends subreddit, ‘u/kurobekuro’ provided a glimpse of what a Minecraft player can do when using Apex Legends for inspiration. They shared over half-a-dozen images and clips of various Apex Legends’ locations, weapons and characters fully recreated in Mojang’s title. In the post, kurobekuro shared that “I tried to reproduce Apex [in] Minecraft, but it is incomplete due to lack of time.” Despite being unable to create as much as they would’ve liked, their post still presented an impressive array of Apex-inspired Minecraft content. Several areas from World’s Edge — the Harvester, Train Yard, Mirage Voyage and Epicenter — were all fully rebuilt within Minecraft. In addition to creating the actual locations, kurobekuro also included a small map to show off the chunk of World’s Edge they had created. While the locations on their own are impressive, the post did not stop there. The player also paid homage to the R-99 and Flatline — two of Apex Legends’ most infamous and powerful guns. Not only do the Minecraft versions look the part, they are also fully functional, as kurobekuro displayed with a clip in their post. Despite already covering locations and weapons, the builder’s creativity did not stop there. They also recreated three of Apex Legends’ characters — Bloodhound, Octane and Wraith — and, once again, went above and beyond by faithfully including their abilities, which are also fully functional. In another clip kurobekuro shared, the player can be seen running around and using Octane’s Stim and Jump Pad abilities, along with Bloodhound’s Beast of the Hunt ultimate and Wraith’s signature Portal. While this is not the first Apex Legends-Minecraft crossover, it is certainly the most impressive. Any experienced Minecraft player knows that a serious time investment would be needed in order to create something of this scale, and to make the weapons and abilities functional. The Apex community certainly seemed impressed with the poster’s creativity and dedication. Comments like “Holy s**t this is cool,” “F**kin brilliant man,” and “This is simply magnificent,” filled the replies on Reddit. Kurobekuro’s post is another impressive example of what a passion for games and creative outlook in Minecraft can achieve when combined. Maybe one day the creator will open his server to some other fans for some true Apex Legends-Minecraft action.

  • Apex Legends fan recreates jaw-dropping World’s Edge POI in Minecraft – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan recreates jaw-dropping World’s Edge POI in Minecraft Respawn EntertainmentOne Apex Legends fan has combined their love of Respawn’s battle royale with their love of Minecraft, incredibly recreating ‘the Geyser’ POI from World’s Edge map. Since Apex Legends release, we have seen multiple fans recreating their favorite aspects of the game in a number of ways. From jaw-dropping cosplays to incredible fan art, the creativity of fans has brought Respawn’s battle royale to life countless times. This rang true yet again on May 27, with one Redditor sharing their awesome recreation of The Geyser, the popular POI that came with the World’s Edge map when it was introduced in Season 3. The Geyser is a small facility in the east of the World’s Edge map, boasting some of the best loot players can find and offering up different routes for players to take in rotations. It has been brought to life in Minecraft by Redditor OmegaSapphireFox, who shared their recreation with fellow fans of Respawn’s title on May 27. As you can see, a host of the POI’s features have been recreated incredibly accurately, including the mountainous region at either side. The buildings surrounding the geyser are also featured, even perfecting their unique designs. The creator went into slightly more detail about their creation, explaining how it came to be: “I used command blocks to make it to where whenever you touch the geyser you go to the top of the geyser… I am way back on an older version of Minecraft. This was built on the version when the elytra was first added.” Unsurprisingly, the post garnered widespread praise on Reddit, sitting at over 1,000 upvotes at the time of writing. It goes some way to show how much dedicated fans will do to recreate their favorite games in other forms, as well as the creativity Respawn’s battle royale continues to inspire.

  • Apex Legends fan recreates Autumn Estates in Minecraft and it’s unbelievably accurate – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan recreates Autumn Estates in Minecraft and it’s unbelievably accurate Respawn Entertainment/MojangAn Apex Legends fan has built Autumn Estates in Minecraft and they’ve recreated the iconic Olympus POI perfectly. Since arriving in Apex Legends all the way back in Season 7, Olympus has remained a fan-favorite map thanks to its countless unique and exciting POIs. While Bonsai Plaza, Hammond Labs, and Turbine are popular landing locations for squads at the start of a match, nowhere can match the chaos of Autumn Estates on Olympus. The circular settlement’s abundance of loot, tightly packed buildings, and impressive visual design seem to draw in half the lobby in every single match. As a result, it’s become an iconic location on Olympus that’s instantly recognizable for any Apex player. Well, in hopes of celebrating the POI, one dedicated Apex fan decided to take their love for Autumn Estates a step further and recreate it perfectly in Minecraft. Apex player recreates Autumn Estates in Minecraft Posted to the Apex Legends subreddit on June 13, user LighterVim decided to share their Minecraft recreation of Autumn Estates with the community. The talented player has managed to construct every single detail of the POI to the point where it’s hard to pick out a single fault in the entire design. Whether it’s the iconic buildings that make up the bulk of the settlement, the instantly recognizable trees that are scattered around the POI, or even the landscape of Olympus in the background, it’s safe to say they’ve knocked it out of the park. If that wasn’t enough, LighterVim has posted the full-length video to their YouTube channel that showcases the full build sped-up in real-time and it’s an incredible sight to see the entire project come together. Some Apex players couldn’t resist making a joke about how calm LighterVim’s Estates location is compared to the real game, advising them to add a little more chaos into the mix for accuracy. “Looks way too calm, we’re gonna need about 15 dive trails, charge rifle beams, some frags and arcs going off, and other miscellaneous gunshots.” Either way, this is without a doubt one of the most impressive Apex recreations that has been showcased in Minecraft, and hopefully, LighterVim will expand this POI to other iconic Olympus locations.

  • Apex Legends fan perfectly recreates Fragment in Minecraft and it’s unbelievably good – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan perfectly recreates Fragment in Minecraft and it’s unbelievably good Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends fan has recreated World’s Edge’s Fragment East & West in Minecraft and it’s unbelievably accurate. While there are countless POIs on World’s Edge that provide a hefty amount of loot, there’s one location that all players seem to be drawn to, and that’s Fragment. A chaotic urban location divided by a river of lava, it’s always packed with squads looking to rack up kills early and get the best possible start to a match. As a result, the area has become an iconic hotspot in the community, with a lot of players joking that it’s the only location worth landing at on World’s Edge. Well, one dedicated Apex player decided to take their love for Fragment a step further and recreate it perfectly in Minecraft. Apex player recreates Fragment in Minecraft Posted to the Apex Legends subreddit on March 9, Reddit user kurobekuro decided to share their Minecraft recreation of Fragment with the community. The passionate player has managed to construct the popular POI and capture all of the area’s key details, including the high-rise buildings and the lava ravine. Without a doubt, the most impressive aspect of the build is the collapsed building in the backdrop that kurobekuro has put together perfectly, mirroring the exact design from the main game. It’s safe to say a lot of players were impressed with the recreation and congratulated kurobekuro for their hard work, with some even asking where they could download the custom map. Merging different game worlds together is always incredible as it allows you to see different locations and characters in a new light. Let’s hope kurobekuro continues to expand their Fragment build into a whole map of World’s Edge, or potentially, move on to locations on Storm Point or Olympus.

  • Apex Legends fan mix turns Caustic’s toxic voicelines into a major bop – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan mix turns Caustic’s toxic voicelines into a major bop Respawn EntertainmentCaustic is the Toxic Trapper of Apex Legends, constantly taking down enemies with poisonous gas. However, a fan has turned this character into a rapper after taking his voicelines and making a banger song. Apex Legends fans are constantly creating content from the game’s popular characters and putting fun twists on them. Even though Caustic is in the bottom half of picked characters, this doesn’t prevent fans from being creative with him. While Caustic can be quite annoying setting gas traps and showing no mercy, that doesn’t mean he lacks rhythm and flow, and this recent song shows just that. Apex Legends fan-made Caustic song An Apex Legends viral TikTok is taking the community by storm, ‘barrelbushman’ took to the social media site to post their creation of a song and it’s absolutely fire. This musical piece involves the legend Caustic and his voicelines from the game, which have been remixed to “BOP” a ‘DaBaby’ song. Below is the full song which runs just over a minute long and has some very clever word play for the former scientist. Not only was Caustic spitting some heat but the community also noted he his great flow and rhythm throughout the song. Fans loved this so much that they were asking for more remixes for the other characters in the game. While this is the only one that the user has posted so far, there could be more in the future after the positive response from the community.

  • Apex Legends fan makes 3D printed Wingman and it’s insane – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan makes 3D printed Wingman and it’s insane Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players are among some of the most creative there are, and this 3D printed Wingman pistol is seriously impressive, and looks like it was taken straight out of the game. The Wingman is a weapon that has become somewhat iconic in the Apex Games — not necessarily the most powerful, but has been a mainstay in the game and is generally a strong pickup when you first drop in. Apex fans always like to show love to their favorite weapons, characters or skins in the game, and are constantly finding new ways to showcase their passion for the game. One of these ways is with 3D prints of their favorite features, and while we’ve seen a few, this one might be the best yet. This year alone, we’ve seen an incredible 3D-printed Mirage heirloom as well as a Loot Tick, but bringing the weapons into the fold adds a new layer to the creativity. This 3D print from JackiekAn looks just about perfectly identical to the gun we pick up almost everyday in-game, with the blacked-out paint and rigid, unique edges of the heavy pistol instantly recognizable to anyone who plays Apex. It’s even got some of the engraving displayed on the weapon in-game, including the name of the gun across the cylinder, as well as the trademark shapes and look that we’ve all come to know and love. Making the image even better as the Christmassy colours in the background, getting us all in the mood for the Holo-Day event! While it’s still a fairly new phenomenon, 3D printing is clearly capable of giving us some great creative pieces, so it’ll be interesting to see where this goes in the future. Lifesize Gibraltar 3D print, anyone?

  • Apex Legends fan gets insane Gibraltar Xbox controller as birthday gift – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan gets insane Gibraltar Xbox controller as birthday gift Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends fan showed off their incredible birthday present in the form of a custom Gibraltar-inspired Xbox accessory. Every gamer knows that one of the most important aspects of gaming is having a solid controller to use. While some players prefer to use the best available pads on the market, others prefer to spend a bit extra on customizing the outside of their controllers to their liking. Now, one Apex player has shown off their own personal Gibraltar-themed Xbox pad they received as a birthday gift from a friend. Apex Legends fan shows off stunning custom Xbox controller The present comes by way of Reddit user harrycolby, who posted a short clip of the controller in a post titled “Since everyone enjoyed my buds Apex medal. Here is the custom controller he sent me.” The video shows the Apex fan unboxing the controller featuring a sleek black, gold, and red color scheme. The front and backside of the controller feature the iconic Apex Predator icon painted in gold with red paint flecks across the left side of the handle and face. The right handle features Gibraltar’s tribal icon also painted on in gold while the left side features the owner’s gamertag. Replying to a comment left praising the custom design, harrycolby confirmed his friend sent him the item as an unexpected birthday present. “It got lost in the post for 2 months as he shipped it from Canada to the UK. We gave up and thought it was lost and he was going to send me a picture as I had no idea what it looked like. Then it turned up the next day.” Though late, the owner thankfully got the custom controller safe and sound which will no doubt be seeing plenty of use with Apex Legends’ Season 14 content right around the corner.

  • Apex Legends fan designs the perfect Mirage Heirloom – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan designs the perfect Mirage Heirloom Heirlooms are some of the most popular and sought after items in Apex Legends, and one fan has created the perfect melee weapon for Mirage to show off his cocky and attention-seeking personality. Mirage is known as the “Holographic Trickster,” and according to lore from Respawn Entertainment, perfected the art of “fooling around to get attention” in his youth as the youngest of four brothers. Mirage is certainly a big fan of himself, with the master of technology regularly telling his opponents that “both” of him are better than them, a nod to his holographic capabilities that send out replicas of himself to confuse enemies. With anyone who plays Apex Legends aware of Mirage’s vain personality, one clever fan has come up with a way to turn that into a special in-game item, and something that the 30-year-old would surely love to carry around with him as he battles in World’s End. Reddit user /u/victorqnguyen shared his idea on the game’s official subreddit, which shows a comb for Mirage to make sure his hair is always in place, and a hand-held mirror so he can look at himself no matter where he is on the map. Unsurprisingly, many fans of the game were immediately on board, with one imagining what it would be like to get “chased around by a guy wielding a mirror, and talking about how much better he is than you.” Others called it “perfect” and “so good,” while one wise-cracking user suggested it be called a “hairloom” instead of an heirloom. Heirlooms are ultra-rare sets of cosmetics in Apex Legends, and cannot be crafted or purchased. Instead, players can only get their hands on them by opening Apex Packs, with less than a 1% chance of the item appearing. So far, only three Legends have received these special items, Wraith, Bloodhound, and Lifeline, but should Mirrage ever get his hands on a mirror in-game, he might find himself losing matches because he just can’t stop looking at himself.

  • Apex Legends fan creating Olympus in Minecraft with stunning accuracy – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan creating Olympus in Minecraft with stunning accuracy Respawn Entertainment/MojangAn Apex Legends fan is currently in the middle of a Minecraft project that involves recreating the entire Olympus map, down to every little detail. The Apex Legends community is incredibly passionate about the game and is constantly finding new and creative ways to celebrate their favorite title. Whether it’s spectacular cosplays, gameplay concepts, or even tributes to Apex within other games, these projects can take hundreds of hours to complete and require an enormous amount of dedication. This especially applies to Reddit user RendomBlazen, who is in the process of recreating the entire Olympus map in a Minecraft world. So far, they’ve only completed Estates and the Phase Runner, but the project is already shaping up to be absolutely incredible. Apex Legends fan showcases Olympus Minecraft recreation After Kurobekuro’s World’s Edge Minecraft map back in March, RendomBlazen has decided to start their own project and began building Olympus. While the project is far from finished, the talented builder has already completed two iconic locations from the Season 7 map. On July 27, RendomBlazen posted the recently completed Estates POI from the Minecraft map. There’s no doubt they’ve captured the location perfectly, from box-like buildings to the blue and white color scheme, not a single detail has been missed. Two days later, Reddit user CobaltTS posted the next completed location in RendomBlazen’s Minecraft world, this time showing off the Phase Runner. The huge teleportation device has been built to scale with RendomBlazen even using the exact in-game colors for the portal. Not only that, they’ve added the circular buildings that surround the Phase Runner, as well as the platform that players have to use to access the device. It’ll be interesting to see how RendomBlazen connects all of these POI’s together to complete the full map. With so many breathtaking locations left to go, this is definitely a project worth keeping an eye on. Luckily, RendomBlazen is planning on setting up a YouTube channel in the future to keep fans up to date on exactly how the build is getting on. In the meantime, make sure you keep an eye on their Reddit profile so you don’t miss any updates.

  • Apex Legends fan creates terrifying ‘strangler’ Legend to haunt games – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan creates terrifying ‘strangler’ Legend to haunt games Reddit: u/Wolfdawgartcorner / Respawn EntertainmentOne Apex Legends player has designed perhaps the most horrifying character to date, a venomous strangler that looks to haunt its prey on the battlefield. Respawn’s popular battle royale has seen its fair share of spooky additions over the seasons, from Halloween-themed cosmetics to intimidating robo-assassin Revenant. However, a new concept takes the fright to an entirely new level. Going by a label of ‘The Adder,’ this robotic Legend could be haunting your games in the future. Not only is the artwork on point, but the concept comes with a fully loaded arsenal of equally scary abilities. The Adder drops into battle with a brand new model not bearing any resemblance to the current Apex cast. The character looks to have a metallic head with robotic appendages all attached to a snake-like “body.” These appendages could even have a mind of their own. “The Adder’s Constrictor arm almost appears to be a sentient thing… maybe it is,” the flavor text reads. The snake wraps around the body, connecting to the back of The Adder’s head. It appears to be the source of much of its venomous power as a bright blue poison stains its fang-like mask. A set of teeth hang around the character’s torso, each dipped in a unique poison that can come into play with its abilities. A powerful passive ability imposes a truly unique threat to nearby enemies. Opposing teams within a certain distance will “begin to hear a rattlesnake sound.” This audio is capable of drowning out other noises, but will not give off any indication as to the exact position of The Adder. Virulent Venoms is the name of the tactical ability. This provides the character with a number of unique ‘toxins with varying effects.” One example would decrease healing from all sources once enemies are tagged, but the tradeoff comes with a more limited fire rate. If enemies try to flee from the terrifying rattlesnake sound, The Adder’s Ultimate can bring them right back into the fight. “Grab an enemy, bring them in close, and strangle them with your constrictor arm,” the designer outlined. There’s no telling just how much damage this ult would deal, nor how long the effect might last. However, it would certainly change up the flow of any teamfight if players are restricted and unable to break free from The Adder without assistance. From the visuals to the abilities, it’s clear every detail of this character concept has been given a great deal of thought — now the creator will just have to hope Respawn takes a glance at the game’s subreddit, and maybe get inspired. The Adder isn’t the first community-created Legend either. Players have also put forth ideas of ability stealing characters, and even a Legend with a ‘hover-kit.’

  • Apex Legends fan creates mind-blowing ‘ability stealing’ legend – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan creates mind-blowing ‘ability stealing’ legend Respawn Entertainment/Reddit u/Luckie-DOne Apex Legends player has shared their incredible concept for ‘Jacket’ – a brand new ability stealing legend who would fit right in the World’s Edge battle. Respawn Entertainment have captivated fans globally with their incredible character design and world building in Apex Legends, inspiring concept artwork and cosplays. While most concepts focus on one existing legend, this fan has shared a concept for an entirely new one, who would represent an amalgamation of all the abilities we’ve seen in Kings Canyon and World’s Edge. The Apex fan, Reddit user u/Luckie-D, shared their legend concept on April 18, with the caption: “Meet Jacket! Ability stealer”. Attached was artwork showing a truly awesome concept character, who appears to blend every existing ability into one legend. The design shows a bumblebee like color scheme, with a host of existing tech completely cloaked in the yellow and black skin. Fans of Respawn’s battle royale will pick up on all the existing gadgets that Jacket has commandeered, including Lifeline’s D.O.C. drone and Crypto’s reconnaissance drone. Similarly, the electricity crackling and axe-wielding suggests Jacket has overcome both Wattson and Bloodhound, combining for an awesome, detailed look at the concept legend. The idea of an ability stealing character has been explored in popular titles in the past. Call of Duty: Black Ops III introduced Blackjack, who could harness the specialist weapons or abilities of all the game’s characters. Difficulties arise when trying to balance such a versatile character, with developers having to keep tabs on bugs and exploits even more so than usual. One Reddit user said: “I like the idea. But Overwatch did the same thing and said its code can essentially destroy the game if it breaks.” It remains to be seen whether Respawn will ever add an ability-stealing legend to Apex Legends, but Jacket’s popularity among players certainly suggests they would like to see it.

  • Apex Legends fan creates Legend that can literally carry his team to victory – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan creates Legend that can literally carry his team to victory Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is home to plenty of colorful characters that players can unlock and master. However, one talented fan has come up with their own support Legend that would be able to literally carry his teammates. Every new Apex Legends update brings something new to the table. From new POIs to the latest weaponry, Respawn is always working on exciting additions that will shake up the current meta. Of course, one of the most impactful additions is the release of new Legends. Every Legend has their own strengths and weaknesses, with many of them favoring certain styles of play. Well, one dedicated Apex Legends fan has come up with their own unique take on a life-saving support Legend. Not only does this concept have an interesting mechanic that isn’t currently in the game, but it also demonstrates how creative the Apex community is. Support Legend fan concept: Björn – Towering Rescuer Posting on the official Apex Legends subreddit, muffin___man, shared their take on a new support Legend. Unlike other characters in the BR, Björn’s passive ability enables him to carry downed teammates or their deathbox. During this animation, the herculean support can only fire his gun from the hip. Read More: Apex Legends getting preselected crosshair colors – Björn’s passive also enables him to carry more healing items per slot, similar to that of Fuse’s Grenadier feature. While not strictly a healer, this would allow Björn to drop plenty of lifesaving medkits when his team needs a helping hand. The stalwart support’s tactical enables Björn to heal nearby allies whenever he consumes any stims. To ensure this ability is balanced, muffin___man has stated that this Tactical only has a minor effect. Lastly, the Towering Rescuer’s ultimate sees Björn unleash a devastating close-range blast that launches enemies away, causing a “landing” when enemies hit the ground. Those hit by the blast also receives an EMP effect that disables their HUD, pings, and voice lines. Interestingly, this ultimate can be used through walls and can break down doors. Whether a similar concept will ever be added to Apex in the future remains to be seen, but there’s no denying just how influential this archetype would be to the current Legend meta.

  • Apex Legends fan creates hilarious tracker idea to replace “useless” stats – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan creates hilarious tracker idea to replace “useless” stats As the Apex Legends ecosystem continues to change, some of the title’s tracker cosmetics have been made redundant. However, one fan has a hilarious, but somewhat genius, plan to solve this problem. One of the cosmetic items players covet most in Apex Legends are the trackers, which are equipped to your banner to show off your in-game prowess. While your banner can be kitted out with a variety of different items, including badges such as the new Pride Month one, the trackers are the thing that truly strike fear into the hearts of your opponents. When someone has insane damage stats, it feels like you’ve already lost before you even drop into game. As Apex continues to evolve, though, several of the trackers have been rendered useless as Legend abilities are added and removed. If you’ve got a whole lot of redundant trackers it might seem bleak, but one fan has come to the rescue. Fan solves Apex Legends tracker problem As with every game, each new patch can totally alter a character’s playstyle. Using Lifeline as an example, one fan has pointed out that this causes some of the in-game trackers to become totally unnecessary. Coming into Season 9, the fan-favorite medic had her Combat Revive shield removed. Despite this, the tracker for “revive shield: damage blocked” remains in the game despite not serving any purpose. To solve this issue, one fan has suggested that Respawn give players a different tracker of the same value as the previous one. While they state that the new stat should be equally as useless, and suggests “Mozambiques: pinged” as an alternative, the actual concept makes a lot of sense! Of course, the comments have descended into absolute chaos, with players writing that they want stats for things like “doors opened,” but there’s actually some method behind the madness. If Respawn gave players the option to “disassemble”old trackers into crafting metals which, in turn, can be used to create other cosmetics, this would be an easy fix to what could potentially become a pretty irritating issue. Will the devs implement this? Who knows, but all we want is a “Nessies: Amount placed” tracker for Wattson. Just saying.

  • Apex Legends fan creates epic rap song with in-game voice lines – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan creates epic rap song with in-game voice lines An Apex Legends fan has created an Apex-themed song by using in-game voice-lines to reimagine Lifeline as a musical artist. Popular games often bring out the creativity in fans, most commonly taking the form of concept art, feature proposals, or even cosplay. One Apex Legends fan, however, has offered something a little different. Reddit user u/its_xaro93 created an original song inspired by the game, styling Lifeline as the artist “Lil LL” for a track titled “Mozambique ‘Ere”. The song takes Lifeline’s in-game voice lines and uses them as rap lyrics, stringing together a verse with lines such as “They don’t just call me Lifeline because I save a life. Use the pressure, it’s the only way to survive,” before entering a chorus of the Mozambique ping that gives the song its name. The song even got the attention of Respawn Entertainment, with a developer commenting “Congrats, you won the weekend.” Fans of the song might well be able to look forward to more like it in future, as u/its_xaro93 stated that if it was popular – which it was, amassing more than 8000 upvotes on the Apex Legends subreddit at the time of writing – they could make similar songs for different Legends. Apex Legends has only been out for a month, having released on February 4, but the new battle royale has exploded in popularity, dominating Twitch and breaking a number of player records. Despite being so early in the games lifecycle, players can already expect a major injection of new content shortly, as the game’s first season is due to kick off in March.

  • Apex Legends fan creates “Bamboozled” song using Mirage voice lines – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan creates “Bamboozled” song using Mirage voice lines Another Apex Legends fan has picked up the musical torch, this time using in-game voice lines from Mirage as the featured vocalist. Most popular games will see fans express their own creativity through the game’s world and characters. Most commonly this takes the form of fan art, cosplay, or concept designs for new cosmetic or gameplay features. Apex Legends, however, seems to have brought out its players’ musical side. Reddit user u/its_xaro93 might have started a trend by releasing “Mozambique ‘ere”, a song using Lifeline’s in-game voice lines for lyrics, re-imagining her under the stage name “Lil LL”. Taking inspiration from u/its_xaro93, Mik Toroi has expanded the Apex Legends discography with their own track, this time featuring Mirage in “Bamboozled”. “Hey you jumped, you ran, you shot a thing maybe, but then you met me and, well, here we are,” Mirage begins, before launching into a verse of characteristic egotism. Fans of these kinds of creations will be pleased to see their continued popularity with fans on the Apex Legends subreddit, which is likely to only encourage more Apex-inspired music. Meanwhile, u/its_xaro93 has also come back with his own addition to the collection, this time a guitar-heavy track featuring Caustic titled “Everything Dies”. If the likes of u/its_xaro93 and Mik Toroi continue to both make and inspire more Apex-themed music, it won’t be long before fans will be able to compile a full album of songs performed by the game’s characters.

  • Apex Legends fan creates awesome concept for new legend – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan creates awesome concept for new legend One creative Apex Legends fan has designed a brand new legend complete with abilities that would be an instant game-changer. The newest Apex Legends character, Octane, was released along with the Season One Battle Pass on Tuesday, March 19. That hasn’t stopped fans from continuing to come up with their own ideas for legends and their special abilities that could be added to the hit battle royale. The concept was created by Reddit user iArePlayerOne, who used a Wraith concept image from artist Ramzy Kamen as a starting point for what the new character, called ‘Electra’ could look like. PlayerOne did come up with the abilities for the support character though, like her passive which regenerates her shields based on the damage she’s done to enemies when they get killed. Electra’s tactical ability would act a lot like Lifeline’s Health Drone, except for armor, and would slowly regenerate shields of allies close to the character. Her ultimate, EMP, would be incredibly powerful, damaging enemy shields, scrambling their HUDs and making shield cells take longer to use. Of course, exactly how each of Electra’s abilities works and how much shields they restore would have to be worked out, but the idea of a shield-focused support legend certainly is interesting. Her EMP ultimate might be a little too powerful with all the effects it has, it would certainly be able to turn the tide in any fight, and probably inspire countless Reddit threads, were it real. There are rumors of Respawn releasing a second new character sometime during Season One, but when it will happen and what exactly that hero could be or their abilities remain unknown for now.

  • Apex Legends fan creates Ash’s Ronin blade in real life – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan creates Ash’s Ronin blade in real life Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends fan has crafted Ash’s deadly Ronin blade in real life and the weapon has gone viral in the game’s community. The Incisive Instigator Ash arrived in Apex Legends Season 11 and became a fan-favorite character the second she was added to the roster. With roots in Titanfall 2 and a set of aggressive abilities that promote hunting down opponents and taking gunfights, it’s easy to see why she’s the fifth most popular Legend in the game. Although the majority of players showcase their dedication to a character by mastering their abilities, SobolevCrafts decided to take a slightly different approach and create Ash’s magnificent Ronin blade in real life. Apex Legends player recreates Ash’s deadly blade in real life Taking to the Apex Legends subreddit, SobolevCrafts decided to share their new project with the community and it’s safe to say it’s left a lot of fans absolutely speechless. The talented player decided to craft Ash’s Ronin sword in real life and instead of making a rough copy, they added all of the intricate details, including the marks along the side of the blade. Fans were so impressed by the sword that some of them even admitted that they thought the weapon was a render at first before taking a closer look at the picture. “Not gonna lie, I thought it was just a really good render at first,” one impressed user wrote, with another simply asking “How do I buy it?”. SobolevCrafts did reveal in the thread that the majority of the weapon is made of plastic, which is why they’ve been able to make more than one and keep them as detailed as possible. Either way, it’s obvious a tremendous amount of effort went into creating the sword, and with so many weapons in-game to recreate, it’ll be interesting to see what SobolevCrafts makes next.

  • Apex Legends’ fan comes up with perfect tweak to player banners – Dexerto

Apex Legends’ fan comes up with perfect tweak to player banners Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends fan has devised the perfect player banner tweak and it could be the ideal way for Respawn to help ease the ongoing skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) controversy. Respawn are quick to listen to community feedback and implement changes where necessary. With the understanding that the game’s devs engage with the Apex Legends’ subreddit, fans often leave thought-provoking tidbits that spark interest among the community. From rewarding a kill leader with an in-game badge to add a risk-reward element to the Apex Games’ endgame scenario, to redesigning Octane’s Launch Pad to alter jump trajectory based on your Legends’ approach — there have been some intuitive ideas pumped out from the battle royale’s following. As well as gameplay changes, fans also frequently make suggestions for ways to improve the game’s menu system and UI, such as the in-game store or the ability to choose ‘favorite’ legends. One creative fan on Reddit, u/TopNotchIndeed, has provided a small change to player banners, which not only tidies the arrangement of your best badges, but it also provides more space to flex your proudest in-game accolades. On the surface, this appears to be just a minor change. However, if all player banners were pooled and displayed instead of being met with a loading screen, this could somewhat mitigate the effects of SBMM — which is currently causing quite a stir within the community. Each enemy’s level would be visible, and could generate an ‘average squad level.’ So you would be able to scout for the hardest competition at a glance. Eyeing-up your foe’s banners and selected Legends would serve one of two purposes. You could either make the executive decision to target the higher-ranked opponents from the get-go. Or, you could elect to stay on the lookout for the higher ranked teams and avoid confrontation altogether. Either way, this plays on the ‘survival of the fittest’ mantra at the core of battle royale titles. Although it’s a simple idea, the notion of just rejigging the order of badges and displaying a player level was lapped up by the community. Having received almost 1.5k upvotes in less than three hours, it is obvious that Apex Legends’ player base appreciates the finer details in the game, as well as the plethora of content.

  • Apex Legends fan brings Mirage’s Too Much Witt heirloom to life – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan brings Mirage’s Too Much Witt heirloom to life Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer rSmq5Fo4] An Apex Legends fan managed to recreate Mirage’s ‘Too Much Witt’ heirloom with the help of the game’s files to perfectly shape a trophy of the Holographic Trickster. In June’s ‘Lost Treasures Collection’ event, Respawn introduced the entirely-appropriate heirloom that awarded Mirage a trophy awarded to the “Best Competitor in a Battle Royale – Based on skill, but mostly looks.” Fans and Mirage mains alike agreed that the studio created the perfect melee skin for the Legend – although the heirloom might have been a bit too perfect for some people, seeing how the Apex game files are now being used to make the trophy a reality. Getting a bit creative with a 3D printer, user ‘IAmDelph’ showed off the finished product depicting a crowned-Mirage standing proudly on the person’s desk. According to the user, the proportions scaled the base model found in Apex Legends’ files to 65% of it’s size. This translated to a statue just about double the height of a mug seen positioned next to the trophy. The details and flair of the in-game version shows all the intricate designs in Mirage’s suit and headwear. Though some of that is lost in translation to the final printed product, people interested in replicating the heirloom will hardly care since they’ll have their very own Mirage trophy to tout. “Mirage heirloom ripped from the game files and modified by myself,” IAmDelph said. Delph created files for it to be made half with gold material and the other part with wood, or as a single piece to easily print out. The creation even caught the eye of Character Artist Jeremy Jodoin, who goes by ‘RSPN_Jeremy on Reddit, and was ecstatic to see one of his designs come to life. “Oh dude this is so cool!” Jodoin said. “I think this is the first time any of my models have been printed, it’s an honor good sir may it stand proudly on your desk/shelf!” Both fans and devs were impressed with IAmDelph’s initiative and could definitely lead to more Mirage mains recreating the Apex Legends heirloom trophy for themselves in the future.

  • Apex Legends fan brings characters to life with stunning statues – Dexerto

Apex Legends fan brings characters to life with stunning statues Respawn Entertainment has built a reputation for their creative knack within Apex Legends, even inspiring one fan of the battle royale to creative life-like 3D renders of some fan-favorite Legends. In its short tenure in the battle royale realm, Apex Legends has developed its own niche within the genre. Boasting a diverse roster of characters, players from far and wide have found something to identify within the battle royale. The creative efforts implored by Respawn have encouraged community engagement — from Wattson skin concepts to the idea of buffing Crypto’s abilities, there is no doubt that Respawn have captivated a loyal fanbase. Indeed one of the Apex faithful has been impelled to a point where they have expressed their talents through creating ‘statues’ of some of the game’s Legends. Twitter user, Jacemnk1, took inspiration from the in-game lore associated with each character during the creation process: “Gibraltar as a statue made out of volcanic sand. To pay tribute to his Polynesian heritage, I picked volcanic sand as a material for him.” Legend Statues Part 2. Gibraltar as a Statue made out of Volcanic Sand. Having received praise from the community, Jacemnk1 has created more 3D concept pieces, each with their own unique twist inspired by the Legends’ in-game persona. Each piece incorporates distinct character quirks as part of the final render, and fans have lapped up each effort, with some even requesting for their own to be commissioned. Weta Workshop have already created identical 3D editions of some characters in their iconic poses. Although, given the interest that these 3D renders have received, there could be scope for Respawn to incorporate something to a similar effect for fans to acquire in a bid to commemorate their favorite Legends.

  • Apex Legends extends Anniversary Collection Event: new end date – Dexerto

Apex Legends extends Anniversary Collection Event: new end date Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends Anniversary Collection Event was supposed to end on February 23, but Respawn decided to extend it after players made it clear they wanted more time to collect all the rewards. [jwplayer wri9X4eV] Apex Legends Season 8 introduced many changes, including an exciting new event to celebrate the game’s second anniversary. The Apex Legends Anniversary Collection Event allowed players to access new legend and weapon skins, as well as “anniversary” recolors. It also provided players with new ways to collect heirloom shards and introduced new bundles, challenges, and the Locked and Loaded LTM. However, because there is so much to collect, players had a hard time collecting everything before the February 23 deadline. Fortunately, Respawn heard the thousands of pleas, and decided to extend the event for an additional week. Respawn announced the news on Twitter: “We heard some of you need more time to collect all your Anniversary rewards?” they wrote. “In the spirit of celebration, we’re going to keep the party going for one additional week. The Anniversary Collection Event will now remain open until March 2 at 10 am PT.” Apex players were thrilled with the news. They flooded in with comments and commended the devs for listening to them. It’s only an extra week, but it should be more than enough for everyone to collect the pieces they’re missing. • Apex Legends Explosive Hold locations on Kings Canyon map – Dexerto

Apex Legends Explosive Hold locations on Kings Canyon map Respawn EntertainmentExplosive Holds were added to Apex Legends in Season 8, offering players the chance to pick up some weapons, Hop-Ups, ammo, and more to give them a better chance on Kings Canyon. [jwplayer VEi3mnK7] If you’ve played Season 8 at all you’ve likely run into them here and there, and they’re always handy to crack open if you’ve got a grenade in your backpack. However, what can be tough is locating them when you drop somewhere new or when you’re traversing the map. So, we’ve put together a handy map of all Explosive Hold locations on Kings Canyon, which should definitely help you and your squad make more informed decisions about what to do. All Explosive Hold location on Kings Canyon If you’re looking to plan out your rotations or drops a little better in Apex Legends, knowing where these Explosive Holds are could be extremely beneficial. • Apex Legends exploit opens explosive holds without wasting a grenade – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit opens explosive holds without wasting a grenade Respawn EntertainmentA newly discovered exploit seems to allow players access to Apex Legends’ explosive holds without wasting a grenade to do so. Explosive Holds were added to Apex Legends back in Season 8, and contain weapons, Hop-Ups, ammo, and more for players to loot. Traditionally players needed to use a grenade to blow open the doors, but a new exploit apparently grants access without wasting a thing. Reddit user ‘yaboigrafix’ is the one we have to thank for bringing this exploit to our attention. As they show in a video on Reddit, it seems like the doors can be opened by canceling the initial animation. If you drop a grenade in the middle of the animation while opening a vault, you apparently open it for free. You can pick your grenade back up, and then loot to your heart’s content. ‘But Dexerto,’ you might be thinking, why should we care about wasting a single grenade to get into the explosive hold?’ Well, later on in matches it might not matter as much, but it can be crucial in the early game. Throwing away a grenade could be costly just after dropping in, especially if another team sees you heading into the armory to gear up. Yes, it’s just one grenade, but why give it up if you don’t actually have to? We can be fairly certain that this wasn’t an intended design by Respawn. Call it a glitch, an exploit, or a bug, but it will probably be fixed by devs as soon as they’re able to. Read More: T-Pain claims Apex Legends is too “sweaty” – So, while this exploit won’t be around forever, there’s nothing stopping you from taking advantage of it while it’s still around. Just be sure to keep an eye out for enemy squads while you try to pull it off.

  • Apex Legends exploit makes hip-fire shots 100% accurate – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit makes hip-fire shots 100% accurate Respawn/EAApex Legends players are still taking advantage of an exploit that allows them to have pinpoint hip-fire accuracy without any recoil, but some are concerned that it hasn’t been addressed. It’s been over two years since Respawn Entertainment dropped Apex Legends onto the battle royale market, and it’s cemented itself as one of the premier games around. While it is still going from strength to strength with each update, even hitting the 100 million player mark, there are a few problems that plague the battle royale. Some issues are pretty new, but there are others, like the infinite loading screens and care packages spawning off the map, that continue to pop up on occasion. There’s also an exploit with hip-fire accuracy that still hasn’t been addressed either. Reddit user TIGJCthagod noted that if you shoot one bullet from any fully automatic weapon in Apex while scoping, and then unscope, your next few hip-fire shots won’t be affected by recoil. As the Redditor’s clip shows, it’s a pretty powerful exploit as you can shoot with ridiculous accuracy while moving too. Some players chimed in, saying the issue has been around for a while, and that it’s simply become a part of the game because Respawn hasn’t addressed it. “This totally makes sense and I’m pretty sure I’ve been doing this without even knowing,” commented user HowManyMoreLetters. Others suggested that instead of sharing the tip with players who might not know about it, the Redditor should have flagged it to Respawn with more clips. However, there were some players who also noted that it even works with weapons like the Charge Rifle. It’s unclear if Respawn will be looking into the issue ahead of Season 9, given it’s not listed on their public Trello board. However, if more players demand a change, it might prompt them to make one.

  • Apex Legends exploit makes Havoc single-fire again – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit makes Havoc single-fire again Respawn/EAApex Legends players have found a way to bring back the single-fire version of the Havoc and it’s actually not all that difficult to do. For the past two years, its been common for Respawn to kickstart a new season of Apex Legends with a brand-new weapon. Though, things were a little different at first. The Havoc rifle wasn’t a part of the original weapon pool but was added in its own update prior to the start of Season 1: Wild Frontier. Since then, it’s had its up and down, but it’s always been a pretty solid weapon of choice. It originally had its fully automatic and single-fire settings that you could switch between, the single-fire mode became a bit obsolete thanks to the Charge Rifle. It was taken away alotgher in the end, but some players have been able to bring it back. Reddit user zantishappy sparked excitement when they were blessed, randomly, with the return of a single-fire Havoc in the Firing Range. That prompted others to dig into the mystery and see if they could find a way for everyone to use it. Well, another Redditor – W00S – managed to do so by simply picking up the Havoc, then grabbing a Prowler with the select-fire attachment, and switching back to the Havoc. After a few attempts, the Apex Legends player showed that the Havoc would then use single-fire mode, but switch back to its normal, full auto state if you switched it out for something else. Other players debated whether or not it was actually useful or would work in a match, but some suggested it would be possible to use an R301 or Hemlok with the anvil receiver attachment. However, W00S said you’d need a Prowler with select-fire to make it happen. “I’ve come to the conclusion that it is Prowler only. I’ve been testing for about 45 mins and the only one I can get it to happen with is the Prowler, and quite reliably,” they added. So, you could do it in a match but you’d need a fully-kitted out Prowler, which likely makes the glitch pretty situational, but it’s a neat throwback for long-time players. That is, of course, if Respawn doesn’t patch it out.

  • Apex Legends exploit to get into loot vault without a key – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit to get into loot vault without a key Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have found a clever way to glitch into one of the vaults on World’s Edge without using a key to get in. Here’s how you can sneak into this loot bunker early. The first loot vaults were introduced alongside the Worlds Edge map, at the start of Season 3, and have since become a go-to spot for players to get their hands on high-tier loot. Getting into these vaults can prove to be a challenge though, as you would usually have to track down Cargo Bots to get inside, but some Apex players have now found a unique way to sneak in without getting a key first. Apex Legends YouTuber TaylorHobbs shared this strange, and rather tricky glitch, revealing how to break into the Geyser’s loot vault on the World’s Edge map. He explains that the vault could only be accessed using Revenant and Pathfinder’s abilities, which means you will need the help of a friend to pull off this trick. While the glitch requires you to fly outside of the map near Overlook, you can grab a few weapons first and simply glide out using the Jump Tower. Here’s what you’ll need to do. How to get into Apex Legends vault without a key Select Revenant and Pathfinder. – Load into a game and make your way to the Overlook POI. – Glide, from the dropship or the nearby Jump Tower, to the opposite side of the mountain. – Use Pathfinder’s Zipline to move through the rocks, towards the vault. – Once you make it to the loot vault, climb above it and drop down outside of the south wall. – Place Revenant’s Ult on the edge of the lava texture under the vault. – Activate Revenant’s Death Protection and jump down into the valley below to respawn in the loot vault. – The Apex player revealed that there is no way to get out of the vault from the inside, meaning you will need your third teammate to open the door for you from the outside, or wait for an unsuspecting enemy. Despite being quite a challenge to pull off, it is likely that Respawn will look to patch this in one of their future updates, but for now, it’s still possible. Of course, there are easier ways to get inside the vault. Such as the guaranteed key out of one of the cargo bots, or by simply using Loba’s ultimate to access the loot inside.

  • Apex Legends exploit lets you use Lifeline’s heal drone while moving – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit lets you use Lifeline’s heal drone while moving Lifeline isn’t the only medic character in Apex Legends, but is certainly the most effective in this role, thanks to her trusty healing drone – and this trick makes her tactical ability even more effective. In addition to dropping a care package as her ultimate, healing faster and reviving downed teammates faster, perhaps Lifeline’s most significant ability is the D.O.C heal drone. As a tactical ability, the drone regenerates fast after use, and can be used to heal all members of a squad (and even enemies if they get close to it), but it does have one major drawback. To prevent the healing drone from being too powerful, players are required to stand roughly within one meter of its radius in order to connect to the tube which sends the vital healing. The drone also cannot be moved easily, only pushed around very slowly, rendering players using it pretty much immobile for the duration. How to use Lifeline’s D.O.C heal drone while moving However, by chance, an Apex Legends player has discovered that if a door is closed on the drone, it will magically disappear – but its healing properties continue, and can be used from anywhere, meaning the player doesn’t have to stand near it to heal. Unfortunately, it’s not clear from the clip if teammates can also benefit from the healing, as no one else on u/Itzyatzee‘s squad took any damage. Read More: Everything we know about leaked Apex Legends character Wattson – release date rumors, abilities and more – However, judging by the clip, it looks like the player will need to have first connected to the Lifeline drone before closing the door, else you might not actually receive the healing. Given that this is almost certainly an unintended bug, rather than an intentional feature, developers Respawn will likely aim to patch it up quickly – but in the meantime, Lifeline mains can try their hand at this cheeky trick.

  • Apex Legends exploit lets you see through solid objects – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit lets you see through solid objects An Apex Legends exploit is giving away hiding spots of players and lowering the game’s render distance removes certain map elements from view, but not the opponent crouching behind them. Apex Legends is one of the most popular battle royale games in the world, tasking players to outlive their enemies to be the last man or team standing to be declared the winner, and often hiding can play a major part in a successful game. For some, their hiding spots are being uncovered by an exploit that is removing the very items they are using for cover, leaving their positions exposed. Posted on Reddit by user Tecfan, the footage shows the player jumping on top of a rock overlooking a building which has air conditioning units on top. When zoomed in and looking throw the scope of their Longbow, the units are perfectly visible, but with his rendering distance turned down, the exploit quickly rears its head and shows a major issue with the setting in the current version of Apex Legends. As he zooms out, the air conditioners completely disappear from view, but the player crouched behind them suddenly appears, spinning around completely oblivious that his spot has now been shown to the world, even though he thinks he’s safe and sound behind a solid object. Obviously, in many ways this gives players with lower settings an advantage, as obstacles that might hinder the eyeline are apparently removed to let them see through. While turning down render distance should make it so that you can’t see things that are farther away, it certainly shouldn’t be removing items, but then allowing you to see the player that is sitting directly behind it. Respawn Entertainment have yet to address the issue, although fans of the popular battle royale title will be hopeful that they issue a fix for this sooner rather than later.

  • Apex Legends exploit lets Wraith reload weapons while in the Void – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit lets Wraith reload weapons while in the Void Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered a new bug that allows Wraith to reload weapons while using her void ability, by simply using some accurate timing. As she is one of the most popular characters in Apex Legends, you can expect to see plenty of Wraith’s running around while you’re playing the battle royale. The interdimensional skirmisher has some pretty powerful abilities, but she has presented a few challenges in the past. Players have discovered issues where she could have no cooldown on the Into The Void ability, and even survive outside the ring without taking any damage. Respawn Entertainment has addressed a few of these problems, but a new one could soon rear its head. The new bug was showcased on the Apex Legends subreddit by user Rem-ember_to_flame who demonstrated that, when timed right, Wraith could start running into her void while reloading a weapon, stop the void run, and then be ready to fight. As the timing needs to be spot on, the Redditor showed that it isn’t an exploit that players can pull off once and keep repeating, as they failed on their first attempt before then being able to reload a Peacekeeper. There didn’t appear to be any sort of delay in being able to use the shotgun either, as once it was reloaded, the player was able to get some shots off on one of the game’s training dummies. With Wraith meant to be having her hands full with conjuring up the void, she shouldn’t be able to hold a weapon – nevermind being able to reload one. Thankfully, though, it appears as if she is unable to actually shoot a weapon while inside her ability – even though that wouldn’t matter all that much anyway. With the post gaining traction on the subreddit, and the developers being pretty active in posting, it remains to be seen if they are aware of the new problem. If they are, or once they are anyway, it probably won’t take them all that long to rectify the issue and have Wraith back to her normal self.

  • Apex Legends exploit lets Revenant & Wraith steal vault loot without a key – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit lets Revenant & Wraith steal vault loot without a key Respawn/EAApex Legends players have been using Wraith and Revenant in tandem to get into vaults without a key, leading to some frustrations. Back in Season 3, Respawn Entertainment finally added a second map to Apex Legends in the form of World’s Edge. The map has seen a few changes since but one constant has remained, the three vaults. These vaults are dotted around the map and if you get a key to get inside, you can get your hands on some pretty nice loot that should help you pick up a win. However, players have found ways to get in without a key using different combinations of legends. That now includes Wraith and Revenant who can get in, and back out, without a key. The trick was highlighted by Reddit user Water_Towers showing that Revenant can put a Death Totem behind the loot bin at the Train Yard vault and then have Wraith teleport inside using her portal. All the Wraith has to do is activate death protection from the totem, start to phase through a portal and then damage herself. The damage will cause the portal to take charge and go through to the other side of the vault door. Wraith’s teammates can then just simply jump through the portal themselves and head into the vault to pick up some loot. While it’s not as widespread as the old Pathfinder and Revenant trick, players have noted that they’ve seen it happen. “That explains a lot why there’s no loot behind that door a couple of matches I did before”, said one commenter. “Devs should really just make that loot untouchable unless the door is unlocked. Seems like it can be broken into a lot,” added another. It remains to be seen if Respawn do something about it or if players start to pick up the trick more and more.

  • Apex Legends exploit lets players into locked IMC Armories to troll enemies – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit lets players into locked IMC Armories to troll enemies Respawn/EAApex Legends players have already found ways to get inside the locked IMC Armories when other teams are fighting Spectres. Though, don’t expect to have the Smart Bins help you. Prior to the launch of Apex Legends Season 13, a number of leakers and dataminers discovered that Respawn would be bringing the deadly Spectres from Titanfall and making them a part of the battle royale. The Spectres now inhabit Storm Point, protecting the handful of IMC Armories that have risen out of the ground following the launch of the new season. Players are able to fight off waves of the deadly robots in exchange for some high-tier loot. And while your team is usually locked inside the armories to face the Spectres, you might start seeing other players exploit their way in as well. That’s right, players have already found a few ways to get inside the armories once another team triggers the PVE encounter to get the loot that lays in there. Like with the vaults on World’s Edge, players have been able to manipulate different legend abilities to force their way inside. As we’ve seen before, one common tactic revolves around Wraith’s portal, but also uses the Tridents on Storm Point to squash their team in from above. Unlike the vaults, if a team hasn’t activated the encounter, they’re unable to make use of the Smart Lootbins. Though, they have been able to clean up on the loot collected by other teams. Now, it’s not exactly a tactic that is going to guarantee victory, but as shown by some players, it is a way to troll other teams and send them fuming back to the main menu. Of course, Respawn may turn around and patch the exploit before long, but for now, watch out for unwanted visitors if you’re fighting Spectres.

  • Apex Legends exploit lets players into Explosive Holds without grenades – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit lets players into Explosive Holds without grenades Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered a wild exploit that allows them to get inside of Explosive Holds on Kings Canyon without opening the doors, and it can create some interesting surprises for enemies. As Apex Legends has evolved over the years, Respawn Entertainment has introduced plenty of new ways to shake up the battle royale’s ever-growing loot pool with the likes of loot vaults and bunkers. They have also added Explosive Holds on the battle royale’s original map, Kings Canyon. These holds might not match the vaults or bunkers for gold weapons, but they can have some nice surprises inside. While you typically need to blow the hold open with a grenade to get some goodies, players have uncovered a way to get inside of them without needing to cause a scene. The wild exploit was highlighted by YouTuber RossBobSquirrel, who revealed that it all revolves around Revenant’s death totem being in the right place at the right time. Just like previous exploits with the loot vaults on World’s Edge, if the totem is in the place, and you happen to get a bit of luck, you’ll be sent directly into the Explosive Hold without opening the door. Of course, you can easily grab all the loot for yourself, but it is pretty difficult to get out of. Though, as the YouTuber shows, it does also create a pretty big surprise for anyone who tries to blow open the doors and get some loot for themselves. As the YouTuber notes, it is a pretty game-breaking exploit given how you can catch enemies so unaware by hiding inside, and it could lead to some bans for those players who utilize it. It is likely that the exploit gets patched before long, especially with Kings Canyon being used in the next Ranked split. Though, as of now, it has not been noted on Respawn’s Trello board of issues.

  • Apex Legends exploit lets players hide in supply bins and surprise enemies – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit lets players hide in supply bins and surprise enemies Respawn EntertainmentAn overpowered exploit in Apex Legends is allowing players to hide inside closed supply bins and surprise unsuspecting enemies. Season 14 of Apex Legends is well underway and the community is enjoying all of the fresh content that’s arrived. Whether it’s the Sniper Savant Vantage, the Kings Canyon map update, or the huge level cap increases, Respawn certainly didn’t hold back with the recent major update. Despite this, there have been a few hiccups since the release of Hunted, and one of them involves the supply bins that can be found scattered across each of the maps. After opening these in search of loot, some competitors have been surprised by a squad of enemies laying in wait that have managed to glitch the closed bins. Apex Legends players are glitching inside loot bins When scavenging from a POI, it’s always worth opening every supply bin so you can maximize your power in the next gunfight. Well, from now on, you’ll need to be on your guard when opening these bins as an exploit is allowing players to glitch inside them and surprise enemies. The bug appears to be triggered by standing on top of a supply bin that’s backed up against a wall while opening it. This will cause the bin to close around three seconds after it’s been opened, giving players enough time to jump inside. As showcased by Reddit user TTVSnaps, there’s very little you can do when a squad of enemies jump out of a supply bin and open fire. While there’s no denying this is an entertaining bug, it’s definitely not fair for any players that are eliminated as a result of it. Respawn will need to patch this issue as soon as possible before it becomes a more widely used strategy. As a tip, make sure to look out for any guns or limbs sticking out of a bin when approaching them, it’ll give you time to prepare and fight back against any opponents laying in wait.

  • Apex Legends exploit lets Newcastle yeet teammates during revives – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit lets Newcastle yeet teammates during revives Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered an exploit with Newcastle’s Castle Wall ultimate that allows them to throw their teammates away from danger, or if you’re more mischievous, troll them. With the start of Apex Legends Season 13: Saviors, Respawn Entertainment introduced the battle royale’s 21st legend in the form of Newcastle. The hero of Harris Valley, who is also Bangalore’s brother, has proven to be a popular pick since joining the Apex Games. However, just like with most new legends, he has also been the source of a few headaches for both players and the devs. Players have found ways to fly 200m in any direction – and at any height – with Newcastle’s ult and they’ve also been able to pull off silent revives around enemies. While Respawn might be working on figuring out the kinks with Newcastle’s abilities, players have uncovered a new exploit that allows them to both save and troll teammates if they want to. The interesting exploit was highlighted by YouTuber RossTheeSquirrel, who noted that Newcastle mains can utilize the long-standing animation glitch to pull off the powerful throw. As the YouTuber shows, if players get the timing down right, they are able to start reviving their teammate before launching them a pretty long distance in the direction they’re facing. Upon seeing it, some players quickly noted that the exploit could be useful if your teammate has a gold knockdown shield to pull off a self-revive, given you toss them way out of danger with the exploit. Though, the more mischievous players suggested that you could also throw a teammate out of bounds if they’re getting on your nerves. Of course, while the exploit may seem pretty useful, you do run the risk of getting banned by using it – especially in Ranked mode where exploit usage has led to pretty public suspensions. It remains to be seen just how quickly Respawn addresses this exploit, but don’t be shocked to see downed enemies going flying through the air in games for now.

  • Apex Legends exploit lets Horizon send her team flying – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit lets Horizon send her team flying Respawn EntertainmentA simple new exploit apparently allows Horizon to send her Apex Legends teammates flying into the sky, and all it takes is a little help from a friendly Octane. The advantages of being able to fly up into the air and go wherever you want are obvious to any Apex player, but you’re usually not able to get high enough to choose a different spot on the map to land without something like a redeploy balloon – at least, until now. One clever Apex player has found a way to combine Octane’s Jump Pad with Horizon’s Black Hole for an exploit that can send you flying up as high, if not higher, than the balloons do. In a clip posted to the official Apex sub, Reddit user ‘PetarGT’ demonstrates how to pull the exploit off – and based on the clips, it looks like the best thing next to dropping in. First, they place Octane’s Jump Pad down. Simple enough, so far. Next, Horizon starts bouncing on the pad with her Ultimate ready to deploy. Finally, right at the bottom of the jump, they activate the ability setting off the Black Hole, which pulls players towards it. After this, all one has to do is ride the wave, let yourself get pulled in, and melee right before you hit the ground. If done correctly, the Black Hole will pull you in just as your about to bounce and hold you for longer than normal, before sending you shooting up like a champagne cork under pressure. The hangtime you’ll get with this little exploit puts Gravity Lift to shame, and is probably only rivaled by the balloons around the map, or the first drop in of the round. If done correctly, you should be able to redeploy your whole squad in no time… and maybe drop in to ruin an unsuspecting team’s day, as well. You will need a cooperative teammate to play Octane or Horizon to make this exploit work, which can definitely be a challenge to find, for some. But if you have a willing friend, there’s no reason not to give this a shot before Respawn gets around to patching it.

  • Apex Legends player exploits hideout glitch during Preseason Invitational – Dexerto

Apex Legends player exploits hideout glitch during Preseason Invitational Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends Preseason Invitational got a bit awkward when a contestant was able to dodge point-blank gunfire by taking shelter in a glitched spot. Players are used to the various bugs hindering a typical match in Apex Legends match, but it was strange to see it present on the big stage where there’s money on the line. Respawn Entertainment has been ramping up the competitive landscape of their battle royale with the $500,000 prize Preseason Invitational in Poland. Even though the competition has been delivering great moments, there was a strange setback in the action during a heated battle. During the second day of play on September 14, Team Reciprocity (REC) made a strong push against a team held up in Canyons. But Rec bit off more than they could chew, leading to two members of the team quickly being downed. As the last player alive, Joseph ‘Frexs’ Sanchez was hunkered in between foliage and a boulder, which prevented SUCCUBUS (SCBS) to finish him and his team off. More teams were pushing SCBS while the focus was still divided on the last remaining REC player in the glitched hideout. One of their players could be heard saying “Guys come here. Guys, come here! Come here! Kill this guy with me,” as he struggled to finish off the team. The tournament casters were equally confused after seeing the “sneaky spot” preventing any shot from going through, and the stream promptly cut to another team. An invisible wall like this was previously seen on the Supply Ship, where players would jump up on a certain platform, preventing them from getting damaged. Even though it took all three SCBS players to spam fire the last remaining player, they were eventually able to completely take out REC from the game. As hilarious as it is to see such a glaring glitch during a pro competition, problems like these could present unintended implications for contestants. For example, in this case, SCBS had to give up ground on the incoming attackers just to focus all their attention on the glitched player. Respawn have been cleaning up their game from a lot of bugs, and it seems like this one might be up on their list since it was highlighted for everyone to see during the Apex Legends Preseason Invitational.

  • Apex Legends exploit gives Wraith players unlimited phase while running – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit gives Wraith players unlimited phase while running Respawn EntertainmentWraith is one of the most popular characters to play as in Apex Legends, and players have discovered an insane exploit that allows her to use her ‘Into The Void’ tactical ability to constantly phases in and out of the world, making it almost impossible to kill her. Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale is different from other games in the genre, with players able to choose characters with their own special abilities as they try to get a leg-up on their opponents while attempting to win matches and become Apex Champions. These abilities are designed specifically for each Legend in the game, leading players to prefer some characters over others as they suit their playstyle better. One of the most popular Legends is “Interdimensional Skirmisher” Wraith, who can travel between dimensions to avoid damage or flank opponents, and some players have found a way to make her tactical ability “Into The Void” last indefinitely, making it extremely difficult to hit her with bullets. In a post uploaded to the Apex Legends subreddit on February 2, GI_JOE_GAMING revealed that they had been playing a match on Worlds End when they encountered a Wraith who was abusing an exploit to remain “in the void” permanently, jumping in and out to fire shots at her enemies before activating it once again to protect herself when fire was returned. The Wraith could be seen sprinting across Worlds End towards the player, disappearing and reappearing at will as the team struggled to connect with the magical character. Eventually, the team managed to corner the glitching opponent and finally eliminate her for the victory, but the Reddit user admitted they had “such a hard time” taking her down, even though they had a two-man advantage in the final battle. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time that players have found ways to exploit Wraith’s tactical ability, with a similar glitch appearing back in July 2019, leading Respawn to eventually threaten bans for those who continuously abused it in matches. Unsurprisingly, Apex Legends players are not happy that this glitch exists once again, with players calling on the developers to reintroduce their policy of banning players who use the exploit. Respawn have yet to address the return of the Wraith phasing issue, but with the game’s Season 4 set to kick off on Tuesday, February 4, players will be hoping that the developers will issue a response to it, as a fix before the release of the update seems unlikely.

  • Apex Legends exploit gives Battle Pass owners crafting metals and materials – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit gives Battle Pass owners crafting metals and materials Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC have found a trick that allows those who were quite underwhelmed with the game’s long-awaited Season 1 Battle Pass to access even more rewards with it. You still have to purchase the Battle Pass to access these other rewards, but players have discovered that by making a tweak to your location settings, will give you crafting materials instead of Apex Packs. This exploit was showcased after one player – who plays the game in Belgium – noticed that instead of Apex Packs, they had access to another one of Apex Legends’ currencies instead – Crafting Materials. Crafting Materials can be used to create a number of cosmetics and this new trick allows you to get your hands on them much easier than you might expect. Players are changing their settings to make it look like they’re playing in Belgium too, in order to secure guaranteed Crafting Materials from the Battle Pass rewards. This exploit replaces Rare, Epic and Legendary Apex Packs with Crafting Materials instead. As the screenshot shows above, which was taken from a guide posted to Reddit by user Mernerack, players can simply change their location and access different content. Read More: $25,000 T1 x FACEIT Apex Legends Invitational – schedule, players, how to watch, format and more – According to the redditor, the change will not lock players from different regions into European servers as a result of the settings tweak and there’s no impact in terms of ping either – he says. While the trick has given players up to 1350 Crafting Materials, which is enough to buy a Legendary Skin in the store, there’s always a chance that this exploit could be something that Respawn Entertainment will crack down on in the future. Whether or not there will be consequences for editing settings in this manner, too, remains to be seen.

  • Apex Legends exploit drops care packages instantly with Crypto’s drone – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit drops care packages instantly with Crypto’s drone Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has demonstrated a Crypto exploit that allows the Surveillance Expert to drop care packages instantly with his drone. Season 10 of Apex Legends may have added the new Legend Seer, the Rampage LMG, and a host of map changes, but not every player is strictly focused on trying out all the new content. For a lot of the community, their only goal is mastering a single Legend and learning everything there is to know about their kit. While anyone can pick up the basics, it’s incredible what interactions, tips, and tricks dedicated players can find out about a Legend. Well, @rossbobsquirrel showcased their extensive knowledge of Crypto by demonstrating a bug that involves flying his drone underneath a falling care package, making it instantly drop to the ground. Crypto exploit cancels care package fall animation Care packages can be a life-saver in Apex Legends games, often providing upgraded weapons, armor, and supplies. Of course, as they’re so valuable, they’re often fought over by multiple squads, making them a dangerous objective to secure. However, an exploit has been discovered that allows Crypto players to cancel the care packages fall animation, making it instantly appear on the ground. As showcased by @RossBobSquirrel, it involves flying Crypto’s drone up the care package as it’s falling. While in mid-air, open the care package using the drone and this should instantly make the supply drop appear on the ground. Although this technique only saves around 10 to 15 seconds of time, that could be the difference-maker if another squad is closing in on your position. It’s worth noting that this is an exploit so it’s possible Respawn will fix it in an upcoming patch. While this isn’t a game-breaking bug that’s going to ruin matches for enemy players, it’s definitely not the way the devs intended Crypto’s drone to interact with care packages. With the community calling out for a Crypto rework or buff, it’ll be interesting to see which direction Respawn decides to take with the Surveillance Expert.

  • Apex Legends exploit allows Seer to move at full speed while scanning – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit allows Seer to move at full speed while scanning Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends streamer Christian ‘Nokokopuffs’ Feliciano has shared an exploit on Seer that allows you to scan through walls and buildings while moving at full speed, thanks to bunny hopping. Season 10 of Apex Legends is well underway and players are loving all of the new content that arrived with the major update. Whether it’s the new Legend Seer, the Rampage LMG, or the changes to the Worlds Edge map, Respawn certainly knocked it out of the park with Emergence. Despite this, due to Seer’s overwhelming power and popularity following his release, the Ambush Master was hit with some heavy nerfs in a recent patch. However, this hasn’t stopped talented Apex players from mastering his kit and learning everything there is to know about the latest Legend to arrive in The Outlands. For Nokokopuffs, that meant finding a movement exploit that allows Seer to move at full speed while scanning with his Passive. How to scan while bunny hopping with Seer Seer’s heartbeat sensor is one of the most powerful aspects of his kit, giving him invaluable information about the position and direction a set of enemies is heading. While it’s impossible to move at full speed whilst aiming with your Tactical on the Ambush Master, Twitch streamer Nokokopuffs has found a solution and it involves bunny-hopping. As demonstrated in the clip, if you put away your weapons and slide bunny hop while aiming in, you’re able to move at full speed while scanning everywhere around you. This means you can move through locations quickly and locate enemies for your squad without putting yourself in a vulnerable position. Respawn may opt remove this exploit from the game, but there’s always a chance the devs leave it as a technique for players to master. While learning this trick certainly won’t turn you into an Apex Predator, it’s definitely worth practicing in the Firing Range if you’re a Seer main. Like anything in Apex, it’s key you’re moving as efficiently and quickly as possible while performing any activities. That way, you’ll consistently avoid more enemy gunfire and always be in the best position to take a skirmish.

  • Apex Legends exploit allows Horizon players to escape Storm Point – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit allows Horizon players to escape Storm Point Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players love testing the limits of each new map and Storm Point is no exception. As a result, the Gravity Cannons have been subject to all kinds of experiments but this Horizon-specific exploit has the community buzzing. From ramping up Octane’s ability to soar over people’s heads to giving Loba’s tactical ability even more strength, the Gravity Cannons on Storm Point have become a key piece of the Season 11 experience. These movement-enhancers have provided a lot of utility for all of the games Legends, but few have benefitted from them quite as explicitly as Horizon. On top of all the other tricks that these lifts hold the key to, a new discovery involving the Gravity Manipulator’s passive has players testing out what the out-of-bounds marker really means for someone that can zoom right past it. Apex Legends players escape Storm Point In the clip, we see Quasar2003 head into the Gravity Cannon that faces towards Fish Farms and the easternmost edge of the map and begin their ascent. Just before landing, they harness the power of Horizon’s tactical to activate a slide and ensure that no momentum is lost when they hit the ground. The extra juice from the cannon gives them enough time to clear the far end of the out-of-bounds marker and ensure they successfully escape the map. While a player hiding out there would still be susceptible to taking damage from The Ring, the broken boundary would certainly keep them safe from any enemies attempting to hunt them through the launcher. One commenter compared Horizon’s ability to break free from the restrictive bonds of Storm Point to Neo’s journey in The Matrix: “Horizon is beginning to believe.” Another user added that the out-of-bounds line seemed too ominous to test before this: “I seriously thought that you’d “fall” into the water and die. So I always avoided it.” The biggest problem with using this trick is that there’s no safe way back into the map, so anyone who takes this ride outside of the barrier is punching a one-way ticket to the main menu.

  • Apex Legends exploit is allowing players to melee incredibly fast – Dexerto

Apex Legends exploit is allowing players to melee incredibly fast An melee exploit has been discovered in Apex Legends that is so powerful, it might as well be categorized as potentially game-breaking. Melees are a very strong option to use against enemies when they are in very close proximity to you, but there is normally a slight delay between each attack to prevent the mechanic from being too overpowered. A recently discovered exploit is considerably speeding up the rate at which melee attacks can be performed, allowing players to quickly eliminate opponents by repeatedly smacking them with quick deadly kicks. A video posted on Reddit by user ‘Cammyy’ shows this glitch being abused in a match by a player named ‘IpManLegends,’ who is able to pull off the exploit to devastating effect. After the player gets victimized by a series of roundhouse kicks from IpManLegends, he continues to spectate the cheater, who goes on to use the exploit against other teams before finally being taken out in second place. While the effects of the exploit shown above are quite deadly, perhaps the scariest thing about it is how it’s apparently very easy to pull off in-game. According to one of the comments under the Reddit post, players need to have a Legend that has a Ultimate Ability that can be cancelled after being activated, such as the Bloodhound’s Beast of Hunt or the Lifeline’s Care Package. Once the Ultimate Ability is fully charged, a player simply has to first press the melee button then quickly cancel the animation by pressing the Ult button. Spamming the two buttons in that order will unleash the very fast series of kicks that will eliminate surprised enemy players in a matter of seconds. being able to see through smoke, sit in out-of-bounds spots for a long time, shoot your weapon while knocked, and more. These are all serious glitches in the game that need to be addressed as soon as possibly by Respawn Entertainment, before the integrity of their new game becomes too compromised.

  • Apex Legends expert shows genius grenade plays to bamboozle enemies – Dexerto

Apex Legends expert shows genius grenade plays to bamboozle enemies RespawnApex Legends content creator ‘Cau7ion’ has unveiled a number of genius tricks to make grenades as effective as possible in Respawn’s battle royale. Grenades and other projectiles often take a back seat in Apex Legends engagements. They’re not necessarily weak, but players often default to more reliable and controllable forms of dealing damage – namely weapons. However, projectiles can be perfect in a host of scenarios, especially when they’re used wisely. In a December 29 Reddit post, the YouTuber outlined a series of intelligent ways to use grenades to damage enemies and stay in the fight for as long as possible. Apex Legends expert reveals creative grenade tactics The video details three uses of grenades that players can try out in matches for themselves. They may take some practice to master but, once players have them rehearsed, they’re sure to catch enemies off guard. The first is called a ‘Counter Arc’ and is designed to stop aggressive enemy pushes. The player throws an Arc Star at their own location and then moves laterally. The pushing opponent rushes and is damaged by the previously placed projectile’s explosion. The second is called a ‘Counter Sky Nade’. As Cau7ion explains, a grenade thrown straight up in Apex will land where the player was when they threw it. As a result, players can throw grenades vertically, reposition and then let enemies get damaged by their own push to the player’s original location. The third and final tactic shared by Cau7ion relates to a ‘Trail of Nades’. As it sounds, players essentially retreat and throw grenades at their own feet as they reposition. Pursuing enemies will likely take damage as the grenades explode a few seconds later. They’re not guaranteed to get players out of tricky situations time and time again, but they’re certainly useful to have in the back pocket. That was the opinion of Reddit, with Cau7ion’s post accumulating over 2,000 upvotes at the time of writing. There’s plenty more tricks and tips to be found on his YouTube channel too.

  • Apex Legends expert reveals huge mistake that players make at every rank – Dexerto

Apex Legends expert reveals huge mistake that players make at every rank Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends expert District has coached hundreds of players, and he believes there’s one huge mistake that all players need to correct in their gameplay. Apex Legends can be a grueling experience for players of all ranks. The combination of movement, gun skill, and teamwork is unique in the battle royale genre, and that’s why some players, such as Dr. Disrespect, have labeled it the most difficult FPS on the market right now. However, that’s not to say it’s impossible to be good at. A solid foundation can elevate players into the higher ranks even if they’re not the most mechanically sound fighters in the ring, and coach District has one major tip for players of all skill levels. Apex Legends coach shares massive tip for winning more fights According to the high-level instructor, the number one mistake that players make on their climb to Pred is that they overcommit to fights, even if they begin to lose them, which jeopardizes their chances of staying alive and turning the tides. In a recent TikTok, he showed off an example from his own gameplay where a teammate soars into the fight by himself and has a slight advantage at the start. However, as things go south, the coach backs up to heal and reposition, and the random doesn’t. Predictably, that player goes down while District survives to keep fighting. Being full health and creating distance between himself and the now-bloodthirsty enemy team actually created leverage for him. The enemies now have to cross through open space to reach their target, while he is able to maintain cover and dish out damage as needed to keep them unsteady. As a result, they’re all weak by the time they catch up to him, and he finishes them off with ease. “Basically, if you’re losing a fight, that’s okay. Just back up and try again,” he summarized. “You can’t win a game if you’re dead.”

  • Apex Legends expert picks “overpowered” gun to dominate Hardcore LTM – Dexerto

Apex Legends expert picks “overpowered” gun to dominate Hardcore LTM Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Hardcore Royale releases with the Celestial Sunrise Collection event on January 24, but which gun is going to dominate the new LTM? Apex Legends’ Celestial Sunrise Collection Event arrives on January 24 and alongside a variety of new cosmetics, the community will be able to jump into Hardcore Royale. As every competitor in this mode has white shields and no helmets, it’s significantly easier to take opponents down. Of course, this means the weapon meta will shift in this LTM, making guns with one-shot potential top-tier and unstoppable. Well, Apex expert Gaming Merchant believes he’s identified the most “overpowered” gun for Hardcore Royale, and using it should give you a huge advantage over your enemies. What’s the best gun to use in Hardcore Royale LTM? Despite players having white shields, no weapon in Apex Legends can one-shot to the body in Hardcore Royale, not even the Kraber. However, there are a few that can instantly kill an opponent with a headshot. According to Gaming Merchant, the strongest of these guns is the “overpowered” Sentinel. Without even being charged with Shield Cells, the sniper deals 176 to the head, making it an easy one-shot. While the rifle is built for long-range, it can be potent at close quarters if you’re always accurate enough to hit the target. Ultimately, Hardcore Royale will test players’ accuracy and ability to reposition correctly. There is very little room for error with the TTK being significantly faster in this LTM. Gaming Merchant rounds off by revealing that the Wingman, Longbow, and the large range of LMGs in the arsenal will also be top-tier. So, when you decide to drop into Hardcore Royale, consider testing out the Sentinel to give yourself a big advantage over the competition.

  • Apex Legends expert claims players are “sleeping on” underrated SMG – Dexerto

Apex Legends expert claims players are “sleeping on” underrated SMG Respawn EntertainmentPopular Apex Legends YouTuber The Gaming Merchant is convinced the community is still “sleeping” on the “best SMG” in the game. When it comes to close-quarter combat in Apex Legends, very few weapons can outperform an SMG in terms of damage output and mobility. Of course, choosing the best from the bunch can be a difficult task, especially when they all have their own strengths and weaknesses. Despite this, it’s the Volt that appears to be the overwhelming favorite for the community, mostly because of its easy-to-control recoil pattern. Well, YouTuber The Gaming Merchant thinks players are using the “wrong” SMG, and there’s a better pick that everyone is “sleeping” on. What’s the best SMG in Apex Legends? The Gaming Merchant hosted a poll for their YouTube audience that asked which SMG is the strongest in Apex Legends. Out of 4,500 votes, the Volt received 45% of the support with the R99 only taking a mere 19%. However, it was the CAR SMG that shocked The Gaming Merchant the most at 29%. In his opinion, the CAR is “far superior” to the Volt with “better DPS” on top of its ability to use both light and heavy ammo. While the YouTuber did concede that the Volt is easier to use, they argue that using the strafing technique eliminates recoil from almost any gun in the game so overall, the CAR is the “best SMG”. At the end of the day, weapon choice in Apex all comes down to preference but if you’re still “sleeping” on the CAR, it may be worth giving it another chance. While the weapon can be unforgiving if you miss your shots, it can tear down enemies in milliseconds if used correctly, and with the added ammo feature, it’s incredibly versatile. So, consider putting down the Volt and opting for the CAR, it may help you secure more kills than ever before.

  • Apex Legends Evo shields are being nerfed again in Season 7 – Dexerto

Apex Legends Evo shields are being nerfed again in Season 7 Respawn EntertainmentThe Evo Shields in Apex Legends are set for another balance update that could come in Season 7, as Respawn are still fine-tuning how the armor upgrades to its max level. [jwplayer KEHOOBWR] Respawn brought the Evo Shields in the System Override patch in March, then made them a staple in the battle royale later on. Ever since then, the studio has been trying to find the right balance with the armor and its scaling defense as the game continues. As for the studio, the hunt for that equilibrium to the item will continue as Respawn Game Designer Daniel Z. Klein indicated that players could have an increased damage threshold to hit before getting a fully evolved shield. This change is still in the implementation phases, however, since Respawn need to tinker with the game’s networking to actually bring in the patch. “We have a change planned for red Evo Shields for patch 7.0, but it required a little networking work (don’t ask; game dev is dumb) so we couldn’t ship it in 6.1,” Klein responded to a player who noticed there weren’t any changes to the shields in the Aftermarket update. “The plan is to increase the damage required to go to Red.” At the time of writing, the Evo Shields need 500 damage inflicted to reach max level. That requirement is going to change, although the developer gave no indication for how much. Complaints about the gear stem from how many people seem to have a fully upgraded Evo early in games. Comment byu/FrozenFroh from discussion inapexlegends Though this could be attributed to the typical gunfight fiestas that happen at any major POI after dropping into the Arena, the problem is going to get a closer look within the studio. There’s no word if there will also be a change to the armor max Evo Shields provide, but it’s not likely since Respawn tuned that not too long ago when Season 6 started. In any case, the company is hoping the next round of changes will leave Apex Legends in a healthier state as it concerns the popular Evo Shields in the game.

  • Who is Crypto in Apex Legends? Everything we know – Dexerto

Who is Crypto in Apex Legends? Everything we know Graphics: EACrypto has been revealed as the next character to be added to the Apex Legends roster and while developers might have wanted many things to stay under wraps until his release, we know a lot about the character already. When Season 2 finally launched on July 2, the new content, map changes and more were all overshadowed by the arrival of the game’s second new legend since release, Wattson. Thanks to leaks though, we already knew a lot about Wattson prior to her release, including some of lore and abilities, so fans quickly turned their attention to next rumored character, Crypto, and what he might bring to Kings Canyon. Who is Crypto? Every single Apex Legends character has their own backstory and lore. Crypto is no different. The figure was firstly leaked and has since been confirmed as the next playable character to be added to the battle royale game. The character is seen sporting short hair, with his back to a wall while wearing a green and white jacket in one image and there have been many since – which will be seen throughout the course of this article. There’s even a story trailer a little later! Respawn tease Crypto After this first sighting, a slew of leaked game files showed a ton of yet-to-be-released legends, with Crypto among them. Players immediately starting putting together their theories about Crypto, and Redditor FrozenFroh uncovered game files that hinted toward the release of a second legend in Season 2. A laptop was spotted among these leaks, and although Respawn is yet to acknowledge the existence of Crypto officially, the laptop was featured in the recent Battle Charge animated trailer, released on June 27. First look at Crypto leaked from Game Stop conference On August 27, a mysterious leak appeared on the Apex Legends subreddit, revealing our first proper look at Crypto, who now has some new features compared to the last time we saw him from the game files. 600 A Respawn developer, Tina Sanchez, did tease Crypto on social media, after posting images from a motion capture session and confirmed that it was for “Apex Legends stuff.” When asked if it was about Crypto specifically, Sanchez neither confirmed nor denied. It has since been confirmed that the character looks exactly like that of the leaked image, after he appeared in-game. What are Crypto’s abilities? Following the release of the Iron Crown Collection event on Tuesday, August 13, data miner That1MiningGuy has apparently found a full list of Crypto’s abilities in the update files. The leaker had previously suggested that one of Crypto’s abilities was hacking into items placed around the map, and that appears to have been proven accurate according to these leaks. Of course, just because they are in the game’s files currently doesn’t mean we will definitely see them in the game, but it should give us a glimpse at what we can expect to see when the legend finally drops. Read More: Apex Legends leak hints further at PVE mode – According to the files, Crypto’s abilities are: Tactical: Aerial Drone – Surveillance camera drone, lasts for 40 seconds, 200 meter range. Can be destroyed. Can hack doors, loot bins and pick up banners with drone. – Passive: Neuro Link – Crypto and teammates see what surveillance drone detect up to 30 meters away. – Ultimate: Weapon Drone EMP – Charge up an EMP blast from your drone. Deals shield damage, slows enemies and disables all traps. – Crypto ability icons and story art revealed On September 22, an Apex Legends fan discovered that developers have already added both the character’s ability icons and story art to their official EA website. By making a slight change to the URL for other legend profiles, such as Wattson, and replacing the names of current legends with ‘Crypto’, there have been some interesting discoveries. Below, you can see all of the new graphics added to the site – courtesy of FrozenFroh and others on Reddit. While this doesn’t really show us a lot about each of the abilities, nor does it confirm the leaked list, a new story image was slightly more revealing, as it seems to picture Crypto inside an office, or internet cafe, setting. While there’s nothing concrete in terms of details, we expect more information to be presented as we approach Season 3. When will Crypto be released? Based on the leaked information that had been uncovered about Crypto, well before any of his content started to appear on official websites, many fans expected that he would be added to the roster at the beginning of Season 3 – and that was a very accurate assumption. It’s since been confirmed that the character is coming in Season 3 and no doubt as part of the Battle Pass, just like those in previous seasons. The full trailer for Crypto’s backstory can be found below. What about Rosie? It is certain that Crypto will be the next legend added to Apex Legends, but there has also been some rumors about the potential for another character entirely, called Rosie. Rosie was one of the legends first leaked when the game first launched, and is one of the few whose game files are still present, with many others being removed. When Respawn dev Tina Sanchez posted images from a motion capture session, infamous data miner That1MiningGuy ruled out the possibility that it was for Crypto (the mo-cap actor was too short, and a was holding a cane), instead theorizing that it was for Rosie. We’ve had Crypto leaks, teasers, an appearance in-game and even a trailer to boot. So, fans will be waiting in anticipation for the chance to finally play with him in Apex Legends. You can keep up to date with all new details concerning Crypto, Rosie and other leaked legends on Dexerto. Should new information be made available, we’ll be sure to let you know. • Will Apex Legends ever get Solo and Duo modes? – Dexerto

Will Apex Legends ever get Solo and Duo modes? Respawn’s new battle royal title is officially live, allowing teams of three to jump into the battle and go head-to-head as they attempt to be the last squad standing, but unlike other BR’s there is no solo or duos modes – yet. Apex Legends released on February 4 after a huge livestream reveal, and is available for free on PS4, Xbox One and PC. While the game may have only just released, players are already looking forward to updates for the game, including one major update that would give fans of the game more ways to play Apex Legends. At the time of writing, Apex Legends only offers one way to play the battle royale title, which is in teams of three. Read More: Does Apex Legends have cross-platform play? – However, a leak, which claims to be from the game files of Apex Legends on PC, suggests that solo and duo modes are coming soon. Twitter user @ApexUpdate claims to have found evidence of this code, and shared it online. It should be noted, that this “leak” could very well be fake. While there are currently no official plans for additional squad sizes to be added to the game, it’s always possible that Respawn will listen to the feedback of their player-base and include them in the future. It is undoubtedly the most requested feature at the moment, so Respawn will surely at least be considering some new playlists.

  • How to complete Apex Legends Broken Ghost event quest ‘A Legend Falls’ – Dexerto

How to complete Apex Legends Broken Ghost event quest ‘A Legend Falls’ Respawn EntertainmentThe next Apex Legends mission in the Broken Ghost quest has arrived. This time, players will be fighting their way through Kings Canyon in the new “A Legend Falls” mission — here’s how to finish the second Season 5 PvE challenge. ‘The Broken Ghost’ has changed Apex forever in Season 5. Respawn’s hugely-popular title once simply followed the usual battle royale formula of dropping players into an arena to fight until they were the last one standing. In Season 5, there’s more to the game than that. Players are now tasked with battling against enemy AI hordes in story-based missions, as they learn more about Loba’s quest to take her revenge against simulacrum assassin Revenant. Every quest, or “hunt” as Apex Legends calls them, is fairly simple: drop into Kings Canyon, kill a stack of enemies, get the mission reward (usually an artifact) and get the heck out of there before you die. Week 1 was a big success. This time around, Respawn has upped the ante. Apex Legends fans now have to beat even more enemies, while racing a 10-minute timer, to earn the story’s next cutscene. Here’s how to beat the “A Legend Falls” mission. How to complete the Broken Ghost “A Legend Falls” mission Step 1 — “Eliminate Hostiles” Apex players will land on top of The Cage armed with a Triple Take sniper rifle, and a spare P2020 pistol just in case things get hairy. Below, four Prowlers are attacking the bunker — pop them with your rifle to get started. Once you’ve defeated these enemies, the road should be clear for you to head towards the real setting for the new Broken Ghost quest: the bunker. Step 2 — Attempt to save Wattson Once you’ve flexed your top-tier sniping talents on the poor Prowlers below, you can move to the bunker. There are a few more scaly enemies waiting for you here, and the bunker is covered in Wattson’s electric defense fences. Kill these enemies, and clear the fences away to access the bunker. Inside you’ll find a downed Wattson hiding behind one of her fences. Break that fence, and wait for her to die (you won’t be able to save her) to activate the next stage. Once Wattson gives up the ghost, she’ll drop a loot box. Make sure you dig through this, even if it feels a little sad, because she will usually drop a rare Golden helmet for you. Equip this new loot, then head downstairs into the hangar. Step 3 — Activate the panels, clear the bunker Once you arrive in the hangar, you’ll get a new objective: “Open Exit: 0/3 Panels Activated.” There’ll be a bit more fighting as you descend into the bunker, considering there are a few more Prowlers waiting for you here too. Defeat these beasts, then head to the door off to the right side of the stairs. Crack open the door — you’ll need to smash it wide open — and kill the Prowlers waiting to ambush you on the other side. The first panel is also here. Activate the first panel (1/3) and scoop up the epic purple armor hidden here too. Turn straight around from the panel and head across the room to the lower area of the hangar. The last two panels are here. One is located down the left-side split, along with an angry Prowler. Leave this one for now and go right. Here you’ll find the next panel (2/3), a golden R-301, and a Prowler. Tick that off, then head back down the left side with your new gun (3/3). With all three panels ticked off, you should get the final ‘A Legend Falls’ objective: “Dig up the hidden artifact”. Break the final Wattson fence that you find deep in the bunker, and leave the underground building and its Prowlers behind. Step 4 — Claim the second Broken Ghost artifact Once outside, head to the objective marker that should have appeared on your screen. Place the digger tool you have there with the “Deploy Drill” action. You’ll immediately get a warning from Bangalore that there are “hostiles approaching.” This is the final wave of defense in the Broken Ghost mission. Prowlers should keep attacking your position for around a minute before the artifact is actually ready to be collected. Be prepared for a bit of a fight at this point. When the artifact is ready to go, you’ll get another message from Bangalore telling you that it’s definitely “time to go”. Grab the artifact, and be ready for a sprint. Your drop ship arrives 100 meters away. Run to it, and end the mission. Broken Ghost Chapter 2 cutscene: “The Detached Chaperone” Once you finish the “A Legend Falls” mission, you will be given access to the next cutscene in the Season 5 storyline. It’s all text-based, but it tells the story of the Apex cast caring for Wattson after she was injured in Mission 2. The story is told from Wraith’s perspective as the roster deals with the fallout from Wattson being injured. While many are concerned for the French hero, new Season 5 legend Loba is less worried. This causes tension in the camp. Her disregard for the injured legend sets Caustic off. He grabs the Translocating Thief by the neck and pins her against the wall, before threatening to make sure Loba “begs for death” if Wattson doesn’t survive her recovery. The next Broken Quest mission is expected to arrive next week. The third entry in the Season 5 series will be titled “The Liberated Narc”. It will likely be told from Octane’s perspective. So far, the new weekly player-vs-environment campaign has been well received. Respawn has clearly taken notice of that too — the devs maybe adding a Titanfall-themed questline next, including Titans, Pilots, wall-running, and more.

  • Apex Legends Esports World Cup Final breaks record as longest LAN match ever – Dexerto

Apex Legends Esports World Cup Final breaks record as longest LAN match ever Esports World CupGoing to a 13th round, the Apex Legends Esports World Cup Grand Final has officially become the longest Apex LAN final to date, with the full series going for almost seven hours. Though the ALGS has had some lengthy LAN tournaments for their finals, this one takes the cake for the absolute longest in terms of rounds played. For those unfamiliar with how Apex Legends pro play works, here’s the gist of how LAN Final winners are determined: Players earn Placement Points, earned through a mix of taking out other teams and getting high placement at the end of the match, in order to get a chance at actually winning. Until a team goes into a match with 60 points and comes out with a win in that round, the match goes on. And, as teams began to qualify and earned enough points to win it all, underdog teams just kept showing up and winning rounds. It all came to a head as Twisted Minds’ StrafingFlame got a revive onto both his teammates. With them being the only surviving team that wasn’t on match point, he was the only hope for another match. They clutched the win despite the odds, pushing to a match 13. This makes the Esports World Cup’s Apex Legends Final the longest LAN match to date, and also ties the longest Apex Legends pro match of all time which was played in July 2024. The APAC North ALGS qualifier went to 13 rounds as well before the victors were ultimately determined, though that was merely a qualifier match. A Grand Final going to 13 rounds with $600,000 on the line is unprecedented. Ultimately, Alliance wound up winning it all. Though fan-favorite Team Falcons had the most points and LG mounted an incredible comeback, Alliance was the team that’d win it all. They’re also the first EMEA team to ever win an Apex Legends LAN Final.

Apex Legends esports banners leak Ahead of the new year and, in turn, new ALGS series, it looks like Respawn have been prepping some pretty cool new esports-inspired banners for players to pick up in-game. Although there are no Legend or weapon skins in sight (yet anyway), the leaked banner frames look good. As with any leak, it’s important to remember that these may not be the final product, as it could still be in development. HumanSAS’ leak contains banners featuring ten of the biggest names in esports, with colorful backgrounds each inspired by the squad’s signature colors. There’s an emerald green one for Alliance, a striking cyan version for Cloud9, and a sleek-looking gun-metal grey for TSM. Other teams featured include Complexity, Natus Vincere (NAVI,) NRG, G2 Esports, Crazy Raccoon, Team Liquid and 100 Thieves. One writes that “apparently there is a store listing in the files for ALGS. So I’m assuming it’s going to be some sort of bundle-type thing,” writes one, with another response noting that the proceeds will likely ” help fund prize pools.” Read More: New Apex Legends Arenas map ‘Habitat’ leaked – A final comment speculates that the cosmetics would be “perfect for Twitch drops,” a phenomenon that has become pretty common in the esports sphere, and that ALGS has used in the past. How to claim these sweet new banner frames is anyone’s guess, but either way, they’re absolutely perfect for celebrating a new year of ALGS action in style. We’ll have to wait for confirmation from the developers about their plans for esports integrations in-game.

  • ESPN’s Apex Legends EXP Pro-Am results and highlights – Dizzy dominates with WWE star, Dr Disrespect puts on a show – Dexerto

ESPN’s Apex Legends EXP Pro-Am results and highlights – Dizzy dominates with WWE star, Dr Disrespect puts on a show Dr Disrespect/Respawn/DizzyNRG’s Coby ‘Apex Legends Pro-Am event with two wins from three games. On July 11, ESPN hosted their first EXP event, with Apex Legends being the game of choice. Some of the biggest names in the gaming and sporting worlds descended on Los Angeles in the hopes of becoming an Apex Champion. Bragging rights and charitable donations to the V Foundation – set up in the name of former basketball coach Jim Valvano to help Cancer Research – were the only prizes on offer, but that didn’t stop players like dizzy showing up in a big way. Dizzy and his team, WWE star Jimmy Uso and IGN’s Sydnee Goodman, claimed victory in game three. It was the final, and ultimately biggest match of the night, as the NRG Esports star clutched up with seven kills. The win, which was the team’s second of the night, helped them claim the top prize of $20,000 in donations to the V Foundation, as well as a further $1,000 thanks to dizzy’s MVP performance. The trios first win of the night came as the event kicked off with game one. Dizzy’s partners may have fallen by the wayside, but the Apex star finally made it all the way to the final circle. While he was faced with the difficult prospect of taking down Lucas ‘Mendokusaii’ Håkansson, the pair agreed to a melee match-up to finish things off. In typical dizzy fashion, he got the better of his opponent and claimed the title of Apex Champion – as well as $2,000 in donations. The team couldn’t complete the clean sweep, however, as they exited game two early and gave everyone else a chance at winning. After a disappointing last-place finish in game one, Team Dr Disrespect responded in a big way by claiming victory. The hugely popular streamer and NBA superstar Devin Booker combined for seven kills on their way to earning the second round of $2,000 in donations. With there not being any overall standings at the end of the night or point scoring system, there won’t be any concerns about finishing last. At the close of play, the event was all about securing charitable donations for the V Foundation, and it was clear that dizzy’s squad came out as the big winners.

  • Apex Legends error has broken every reactive skin in the game – Dexerto

Apex Legends error has broken every reactive skin in the game Respawn EntertainmentA strange Apex Legends bug has broken all of the reactive gun cosmetics, with certain skins using the wrong effects and others showing none at all. Over the course of 11 seasons, Respawn has added a huge amount of gun skins to Apex Legends, giving players a massive amount of choice when it comes to customization. Some of the most popular of these cosmetics are known as reactive skins. These are Legendary tier collectibles that include an effect of some kind. With most of these sought-after skins appearing at the end of a seasonal battle pass, it’s safe to say they can take a while to earn. So, when players realized their favorite cosmetics were no longer working as intended – with some even using effects from completely different reactive skins – it quickly caused a lot of confusion. Apex Legends reactive skins using the wrong effects Reactive skins in Apex Legends are currently broken, with nearly every single one showing the incorrect animation. As noted by players, they’re either using the wrong effect or none at all. An example is the Bound in Bone skin, which is currently reacting with the effects of the Dragon’s Spine cosmetic. While the majority of the community has no idea what’s going on, Reddit user Belloq56 thinks they’ve figured out why this is happening. According to them, the internal IDs of every skin have been shifted by 1, causing a lot of the cosmetic effects to be combined. “So basically, the internal ID of every single skin in the game got moved over by 1, what this means in terms of gameplay is, for 99% of the skins, nothing changed. However, many have noticed their reactive skins behaving strangely.” It’s hard to know how long it will be before the devs manage to fix this bizarre issue and restore the reactive skins back to their usual state. However, for now, it at least gives players an opportunity to test out the effects of one skin on the body of another. Who knows, you may even prefer the new combination – but don’t count on it being it the game for too much longer.

  • Apex legends end of year sale adds new legendary skins for Wattson and loba – Dexerto

Apex legends end of year sale adds new legendary skins for Wattson and loba EARespawn Entertainment announced an Apex Legends End of Year Sale and included legendary skins for Wattson and Loba in the promotion. Apex Legends players recently launched ‘Operation Fresh New Different‘ amid Season 15 complaints. Players argued new skins and items do not count as new content, and the campaign serves as a call to action for the developers to make more significant changes. Adding insult to injury, popular Apex Legends streamer Brandon ‘aceu’ Winn roasted an ugly Wraith Prestige skin, and players slammed the value of “greedy” Collection Event bundles. Approval ratings for new cosmetic items appear to be at a low in Apex Legends. Fortunately for players complaining about prices or the look of recent skins, Respawn offers limited-time discount bundles and two new Legendary Skins. When is Apex Legends End of Year Sale? Apex Legends’ End of Year Sale runs from December 27 to January 10. What is Apex Legends End of Year Sale? Respawn stated that the sale includes limited-time discounts on bundles, new Legendary skins for Wattson “Kawaii Kitty” and Loba “Hell Bent” as well as Wraith’s returning Legendary Skin “Rift Stalker”. It’s important to note that the development team mentioned that the deal is not available in all regions. The Apex Legends developers also did not specify if new deals would appear during the event. Wraith’s Rift Stalker skin first appeared in May as part of Season 13, becoming a fan favorite for fans of the character. For those that missed out, the skin returns as part of the End of Year Sale. Neither Loba or Wattson are within the top 10 most selected heroes in Apex Legends, so fans of both characters will be pleased to receive some much-needed attention in the form of legendary skins. Make sure to take advantage of the deal while you still can.

  • Apex Legends end-of-season Ranked rewards leaked – Dexerto

Apex Legends end-of-season Ranked rewards leaked Respawn EntertainmentIt appears that Apex Legends players who compete in the new Ranked Leagues will receive special rewards at the end of Season 2. The highly-anticipated second season of Apex Legends injected a lot of new content and major changes into the popular battle royale. One major addition was the Ranked Leagues mode, which introduced ranked play and skill-based matchmaking in the game for the first time. When this mode was launched, Respawn announced that players would receive rewards that would let them “show off their accomplishments,” but the developers haven’t yet gotten into detail about what these rewards actually will be. Now, thanks to prominent data-miner That1MiningGuy, the names of the end-of-season rewards have been found in the back-end of the game files and leaked. In case you missed. Currently these are the end-season ranked rewards. pic.twitter.com/nDCWmBBVaT — That1MiningGuy (@That1MiningGuy) July 13, 2019 As expected, these rewards will be based on the various divisions within the Ranked Leagues mode, although it’s not clear whether players will have to maintain a division to get that tier’s reward, or just simply reach it. As for the rewards themselves, at least the one shown in the leak, they are primarily Badges, Weapon Cosmetics, and Dive Trails, and it’s likely that players will receive every item up to the one that belongs to the highest division they managed to rank up to. This means that those who reach Apex Predator status could receive as many as 18 items for their exploits, and possibly even more if there are going to be other rewards that aren’t included with this leak. Players will likely receive their rewards when the first competitive period, or “Series,” concludes. The first Series, which started at the beginning of July, is scheduled to end sometime during the month of September. Apex Legends Ranked Leagues – how does it all work? Apex Legends’ ranked mode is based on competitive periods called Series’, which last several months and give players the chance to try and rank up as much as they can until the period ends. There are six different ranks, each one requiring a different amount of Ranked Points (RP) to access. The highest rank currently available is Apex Predator, which requires 1000 RP to achieve. RP is earned during each match based on performance, which includes both eliminations and placements. Conversely, queuing into a ranked match costs RP, with the higher ranked matches costing more than the lower ones.

  • Apex Legends EA Play demo revealed a major fix for Bloodhound’s Tactical Ability – Dexerto

Apex Legends EA Play demo revealed a major fix for Bloodhound’s Tactical Ability Respawn EntertainmentAn eagle-eyed Apex Legends fan saw what could be a major improvement to Eye of the Allfather that Bloodhound players have been wanting in the game for a long time. Respawn Entertainment were in full force with brand new features for their battle royale to show off during EA Play 2019, with their biggest news being the official reveal of upcoming legend Wattson. Throughout their presentation, the devs had some gameplay footage to show how the new legend would mix with the other members of the roster, when there was a brief sequence featuring the Technological Tracker. In a Reddit post, user ‘I_am_a_Failer’ spotted Bloodhound using Eye of the Allfather, and was surprised to see that the version on-screen seemed to actually be tracking their target using a wide scan. “Bloodhound scan now seems to be tracking the target,” I_am_a_Failer said, later adding. “You can literally see the walking animation.” In the clip, the audience can see Wattson’s POV as an ally Bloodhound uses their Tactical ability, which revealed an enemy Gibraltar on the level right above them. Since they knew Gibraltar’s location, they were primed and ready to take him out as soon as he descended to their level. Although the fix wasn’t touched on by the developers, fans still got excited seeing as though the ability will soon be able to give players a rendered image of a target through objects, and actually track them briefly. What’s the problem with Bloodhound’s Eye of the Allfather? Hopefully the clip means that the Eye of the Allfather will soon work as intended to be a great ability, rather than a liability. In its current state, using Eye of the Allfather doesn’t let the player shoot for about two seconds, just to be met with a scan of where the target used to be – and that’s if the ability even worked at all. Some clips show Bloodhound using the tactical move and then being given the “No Hostiles” indicator, just to be met with an enemy a short moment later. During Respawn’s EA Play feature, it was mostly about Wattson and how she would play in the game, but they didn’t touch on any potential legend tweaks. The Apex Legends community is hopeful that this clip means the developers have some legend fixes in the works behind-the-scenes coming in Season 2.

What to expect for Apex at EA Play Live Season 10 Season 10 is right around the corner for Apex, so we can assume that there will be lots of focus on the new season during EA Play live. That might include the reveal for a new Legend, who there have been some leaks about already – including some lore. As for what else could be announced, we can only speculate. Leakers have also identified a new game mode, but it’s still in development, and so might not be ready in time for Season 10. Cross-progression? Cross-progression remains one of the most highly requested features for Apex Legends. Respawn have responded on numerous occasions, each time saying that they are working on cross-progression, but it might take a while. Perhaps we can hope for an update or announcement regarding cross-progression at EA Play Live 2021. Next-gen upgrade In 2020, EA said that Apex Legends would get a proper next-gen upgrade for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2021. So far, we haven’t heard anything this year about the upgrade or when it will be happening. EA Play Live would be the obvious place for this announcement, so we’re expecting to hear some news about what players on the newest consoles can expect from an Apex upgrade. Apex Legends Mobile Something that’s almost certain to be talked about is Apex Legends Mobile. This is actually a totally separate game to the standard Apex Legends on PC, consoles and Switch, and is already available in closed-beta in some countries. We expect more details about release dates and content coming to Apex Mobile will be announced at EA Play Live. Stay tuned for updates on Apex Legends from EA Play Live, and follow on Twitter @alphaINTEL for updates from the event.

  • Apex Legends duel between pros Ace and Mendo ends in heartbreak – Dexerto

Apex Legends duel between pros Ace and Mendo ends in heartbreak Dreamhack/Adela Sznajder and Team LiquidAn incredible head-to-head between Apex Legends pros Brandon ‘Ace’ Winn and Lucas ‘Mendo’ Hakansson came down to the wire in a last-hit-wins showdown. With just seven players remaining in the match and the ring starting to close, the two solo stars squared off in a long distance duel to start off with Ace able to land some chip shots with the Alternator, but couldn’t confirm the frag. Given the late stage of the game, it was likely that the match winner would have been either of these two men so taking the other out was imperative. 600“He missed every bullet,” the NRG star said as the duel transitioned to close quarters and he landed some Wingman shots onto the jumping Mendo. After appearing to catch the newly-signed Team Liquid Swede off guard, Ace hipfired into Mendo, but was unable to secure kill. Hakansson, however, was able to land some shots and took advantage of Winn needing to reload with some well-placed shots, knocking the 24-year-old to the floor. “NOOO!” Ace screamed as Mendo took aim at the fallen competitor. “Don’t do it! No, I almost had him, bro.” It was a valiant effort by Winn, but unfortunately he wasn’t able to pull it off in a clash between two of the best currently in the game. Liquid Mendo On Tuesday, August 13 Team Liquid announced that they had signed the 21-year-old former Overwatch pro. In Mendo’s brief time in the Overwatch League, he played for the Houston Outlaws before transitioning to a content creator for the team. Eventually, he began making a name for himself as a serious Apex Legends player. At one point, Liquid Mendo was able to set an Apex record with 36 kills in one match, so you know he’s a serious contender. It will be fun to see if Mendo and Ace face off again. If it’s anything like this last duel, fans are going to be in for a treat.

  • Crazy Apex Legends dropship glitch launches players out of bounds – Dexerto

Crazy Apex Legends dropship glitch launches players out of bounds Respawn EntertainmentA crazy Apex Legends exploit involving the respawn dropship is launching entire squads of players out of bounds in Ranked. Apex Legends’ respawn dropship has caused some issues for players in the past, like an instant death glitch as part of Season 4’s launch. Now, it seems a squad of players has discovered yet another issue caused by strange in-game physics surrounding the dropships. A now-viral video clip shows a Valkyrie player using their Ultimate ability to fly towards a dropship, but the ship’s trajectory catches the Valkyrie’s squad and launches the team outside the map. Apex Legends dropship glitch launches squad out of bounds The clip that showcased the glitch comes from Reddit user ‘rnd765‘ on the Apex Legends subreddit, who made a post titled “Flew into drop ship as Valk and it literally shot me out of the map in a Ranked game.” The clip shows the poster’s squad reacting to a nearby dropship with Valkyrie’s Ultimate ability as the team preumably plans to land near them and catch them by surprise. Unfortunately, the squad flies a bit too close to the dropship’s takeoff trajectory, which collides with Valkyrie’s hitbox and sends them flying across the map. Rnd765 speeds up the clip, but it appears the dropship launched Valkyrie’s team continually higher and higher without their control until they were once again allowed to descend. By the time the Valkyrie player regained control, they were already out of bounds with no hope of landing back on the map. The clip left many fans wondering why the dropship even has a hitbox after take-off, with one user ‘H3cticRiley‘ explaining that “What I believe happened is due to some overlying code used in Titanfall 2 to make jumping around on moving platforms less weird.” Basically, the idea is that Titanfall 2’s leftover dropship code altered the Valkyrie player’s velocity to that of the ship taking off, which caused the Valkyrie player to continually rise higher off the map.

  • Apex Legends drops first teaser for Season 8 Legend and new planet – Dexerto

Apex Legends drops first teaser for Season 8 Legend and new planet Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is in the final stretch of Season 7, now gearing up for Season 8. That means Respawn are starting to roll out teasers for the next Legend, possible new modes, and even another planet. [jwplayer vP8vm9zZ] On January 15, Apex Legends released a new version of the classic Kings Canyon map out of the blue. On it, Mirage Voyage was back, but there was also some interesting teasers in the sky. Then, later that same day, they posted on social media what looks to be our first clue about what’s coming in Season 8. This new teaser mentions Salvo, which we’ve heard about before in Apex Legends. It also features a handshake – and the hands are potentially our first look at the Season 8 Legend. Season 8 teaser This teaser wasn’t in-game, but instead posted on the official Apex Legends Twitter and Instagram accounts. It was captioned ‘New Blood’ – possibly a hint at ‘new blood’ joining the Apex games. In the teaser, we see a handshake between someone representing the planet Salvo, and someone representing the Syndicate. If you’re unaware, the Syndicate are the people behind the Apex Games. The text reads “The Syndicate and Salvo… Unified at Last. Approved by the Committee of Unification Board.” If you’re confused about what this means we’ll explain below. The image is then stamped with the logo of Salvo M.C. (presumably Salvo Motorcycle Club). What is Salvo in Apex Legends? Salvo is another planet in the Outlands, and one that has been independent of the Syndicate, up until now. The most important information we have about Salvo comes from a letter that was on Wattson’s desk. The letter read: “I am writing to inform you that Salvo – which rejected the Mercenary Syndicate’s position to join Syndicate Space in 2722 – is now being guided by new leadership sympathizers to the cause of peace within the Outlands. Talks with this new administration was prolonged, but ultimately fruitful; as of today, the Mercenary Syndicate Treaty has been amended, and Salvo will become the seventh world to join Syndicate Space. Salvo brings with it [redacted]. In the coming [redacted] Office of Public Relations will be rolling out a social [redacted] to dispel inaccuracies about [redacted] to create an appropriate [redacted] for their integration into the Syndicate, [redacted] including exciting new developments within the Apex Games. At this time do not correspond with the Legends regarding this matter. Expect further instructions [redacted] our office in the days to come.” Is Salvo a new map? This is unlikely, at least for the time being. We just got a new map for Season 7 after all. Salvo is a planet too, rather than a singular location (e.g. Olympus is a city on the planet Psamathe). Season 8 Legend More likely, Salvo is the home planet of the new Legend, who data miners believe will be called Fuse, and whose abilities will be about explosives (which would actually tie into the name ‘salvo’.) Read More: Mirage trick makes him even more bamboozling – Another hint is the spaceship we can now see above the map on Kings Canyon and Olympus. The ship has a message which reads simply ‘Salvo Joins Syndicate.’ Hmm, what’s this then? pic.twitter.com/D8ijSC7a6w — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) January 15, 2021 Expect to see more teasers about Season 8, Salvo and the new Legend in the coming weeks. Season 8 is due to begin in early February, to tie in with the two-year anniversary of Apex Legends.

  • Apex Legends drops first official teaser for next map – Dexerto

Apex Legends drops first official teaser for next map Respawn EntertainmentThe first teaser for the next Apex Legends map has arrived and it looks as if players might be taking an extended trip to Seer’s homeworld. The Apex Legends map rotation has become quite extensive over the course of 14 seasons and it’s nearly time for one more battleground to join the four-arena rotation. In the first official teaser for the new map, fans get a subtle look at Seer’s home planet, Borreas, which is also home to the Season 10 Arenas map Encore. Respawn debuts first teaser for next Apex Legends map The teaser only offers up a brief glimpse of a planet outlined with an orange glow (and the moon orbiting around it) but that was enough information to draw some important conclusions. This planet-and-moon combo is likely Boreas. Seer’s official backstory notes that the moon Cleo was partially destroyed by a meteor on the night of the Ambush Artist’s birth, which fits the look of what is seen below. While it’s still early to know exactly where on Boreas it could be located, someone was also spotted asking for their town takeover to be moved to the planet in another small teaser, making it all very likely to be connected. Seer is from the city of Chikuum and made his name while fighting at Encore, the aforementioned Arenas map that debuted in the same season as the popular recon Legend, but that’s pretty much all of the information available about the world. Prior to this teaser, leaks about the game also seemed to link the new map with the moon Cleo, but until official word comes down the pipeline, players are left to wonder exactly where the fight will take them next.

  • Apex Legends drops anime-style trailer that shows what a TV series could be like – Dexerto

Apex Legends drops anime-style trailer that shows what a TV series could be like Respawn EntertainmentTo celebrate the release of the Gaiden event in Apex Legends, Respawn have released an anime-style trailer and it has showcased what an official TV series could look like. While Apex Legends is known for its incredible gunplay, impressive movement mechanics, and unique characters, Respawn also never fails to deliver when it comes to trailers. Whether it’s the unbelievably popular Stories from the Outlands that give the community a glimpse into each of the character’s lore or just the standard event trailers, the video team at Respawn always knocks it out of the park. So, when Apex dropped an action-packed anime-style trailer to celebrate the release of the Gaiden event on July 19, it certainly caught the attention of fans. Gaiden trailer shows incredible an Apex anime could be Seemingly out of the blue, Respawn dropped an anime-style trailer on July 19 and it showcased how brilliant an official TV series could be. The short but sweet cinematic features Wattson, Mirage, Crypto, Bangalore, and Octane all taking on Revenant in an action-packed battle. Each of the characters are wearing their Gaiden skins and are portrayed in an impressive anime style that features incredible music, animations, and of course, their iconic Heirlooms. While Wattson is the main star of the trailer, each of the Legends gets their time in the spotlight, especially the foe Revenant, who is force to be reckoned with alongside his army of Specters. While rumors and leaks have surfaced about an Apex Legends TV series, there’s been no official announcement from Respawn just yet. However, given how popular their video content is and the storytelling potential of the Apex universe, it’d be a surprise if they didn’t want to capitalize on the demand. Either way, Respawn has proven once again how incredible a TV show or anime series could be – let’s just hope they can make it happen in the future.

  • Incredible end to Apex Legends match shows why the game has become so popular – Dexerto

Incredible end to Apex Legends match shows why the game has become so popular The unique moments Apex Legends is producing is just one of the reasons the game has become one of the most popular out there, and this double self-resurrect to end a game highlights just how enthralling Apex Legends can be. After a fairly extensive gun fight, in a 2v1 situation, “ApexInhuman” downed one the two remaining opponents, leaving them with just one kill remaining for the win. Following some back and forth, amidst Caustic’s Nox Gas Trap, ApexInhuman knocked the last man. However, before they could be finished off, the aforementioned gas trap, took the small bit of health they had left. Somewhat astonishingly, with the final two players knocked down, the match continued. This is because both players had a gold knockdown shield, which allows you to self-resurrect once. Consequently, it was a race against time to see who could revive themselves first and secure the final kill. Despite being knocked down second, and therefore having a time disadvantage, ApexInhuman beat the opponent to the revive and subsequently secured the match-winning kill. As with all gold items and attachments, the knockdown shield is a very rare item. To see two players with one, at the end of the game, is an unlikely occurrence. There have been other wild match ending finishes also. The multiplicity of items and legend abilities results in a multitude of possible finishes. This, combined with a relatively forgiving final circle (in terms of damage) means Apex Legends might produce the most exciting battle royale finishes to date.

  • Apex Legends Doppelgangers Collection Event patch notes: After Dark maps, Halloween LTM, skins – Dexerto

Apex Legends Doppelgangers Collection Event patch notes: After Dark maps, Halloween LTM, skins Respawn EntertainmentThe Doppelganger Collection Event in Apex Legends goes live just in time for spooky season, with the Halloween themes to match, and a new Trick N’ Treat LTM. Apex always brings something fresh for the Halloween celebrations, and the nighttime maps are back for 2023, but this time, three maps will be getting their ‘After Dark’ variants. Kings Canyon, World’s Edge and Olympus will all be set at night for the event, which starts on October 17. Of course, there are new skins, and the Revenant Prestige skin will be the prize for completing the collection. Doppelgangers Collection Event release date The Doppelgangers Collection Event will go live in Apex Legends on Tuesday, October 17. Events go live at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST. The event will run for two weeks. There may be a small update required on your system, but sometimes collection events are ready to go live without requiring an update. Trick N’ Treat trios LTM The new LTM, Trick N’ Trios, will add two new items: Candy and Copycat Kit. Candy is collected when downing enemies, looting bins, and breaking down doors. You can then eat the candy for evo shield points, Ult Charge and 25 points of shield healing. The new survival item, only available in this mode, is where the Doppelganger’s part of the event comes in. This copycat kit will allow you to use an extra legend ability for the duration of the match – cooldowns are still in place as normal. New skins and Revenant Prestige Skin As with all collection events, there are 24 event cosmetics to pick up through event packs. These include new Legendary skins for Wraith, Pathfinder, Newcastle and Vantage. Collecting all 24 skins will grant you the Revenant Prestige skin: Apex Nightmare. The event will run from October 17 to 31, ending alongside Halloween. There’s been no word from Respawn about some of the other fan-favorite Halloween modes returning this year, although they may have heard feedback from previous years when players asked for something new. There are also no balancing changes or bug fixes in this update.

  • Why Apex Legends needs a “Don’t Shoot” ping command – Dexerto

Why Apex Legends needs a “Don’t Shoot” ping command Apex Legends already has one of the most comprehensive ping wheels in a game, but the addition of a Don’t Shoot command will revolutionize how players can strategize in game. Solo queueing in Apex Legends can sometimes be a frustrating experience. Teammates go solo and abandon you, they can play overly aggressive or passively, and if you can’t communicate properly, it’s hard to get a cohesive strategy going. While the current ping system is one of the most fleshed out communication options in any game, there’s some things that could be added to make it even better. One of those things is a Don’t Shoot ping, which will add another layer of strategic depth to solo play — as long as your teammates listen. The Don’t Shoot ping, as envisioned by Reddit user ‘deadend1755’, would tell teammates to not rush opponents and lay low for a while. It’s often hard to just communicate this over a simple “Enemy” ping, and not everyone will be responsible for their trigger finger. It will advise allies to not make an advance towards the enemy, which might give away their position when they are in a bad situation. Then, when the gunfire dies down, you can push on forward safely, or look to clean up the scraps of a messy fight. The ping makes total sense. Apex’s ping system is already incredibly comprehensive, with a voice chat almost not really required given how good it is. Read more: Major bug makes Shadowfall LTM unwinnable – It can be used on weapons, items, locations, enemies, and pretty much anything you can interact with on the map, and there’s a wide variety of options. Whether you want to bunker down and defend, or look to move around and avoid the storm, there’s a ping for almost every situation. The Don’t Shoot ping is just another addition to this intricate but simple system. It adds another layer of communication for those allies who choose to not use voice chat. Read more: Charge Rifle nerfed again – Being able to ping them more specific commands, even if they aren’t on call, can help you devise more thought-out strategies and play smarter. Small things, like not pushing towards an enemy when you can’t afford to, can be the difference between becoming the champion, or losing it all. The concept behind a Don’t Shoot ping isn’t entirely new. Players have been calling for a similar ping command ever since the game was released earlier in 2019. However, as Respawn Entertainment looks to add even more features to their Battle Royale with the release of Season 3, this might be a nice quality of life change players will truly appreciate.

  • Apex Legends dominates Twitch’s ‘most streamed games’ post-Season 13 – Dexerto

Apex Legends dominates Twitch’s ‘most streamed games’ post-Season 13 Respawn Entertainment, TwitchFollowing the release of Apex Legends Season 13, Respawn’s iconic battle royale has surged to the top of Twitch and looks set to remain there. Apex Legends Season 13 has been out in the world for quite a while now, introducing players to lovable new Legend, Newcastle, and his touching story of family, hardship, and redemption. While for some 13 is an unlucky number, the game has grown exponentially since the new chapter’s debut, shattering its player count record on Steam and proving that the game is very much alive and kicking. Apex hasn’t only dominated Steam, though; it has skyrocketed to the top of the Twitch charts, clocking in as the platform’s most-streamed game since Season 13’s release. Apex Legends dominates Twitch post-Season 13 Following the arrival of the new season, Apex has beaten out the likes of Valorant and Fortnite to secure the top spot on Twitch’s ‘most streamed games’ list. According to data obtained via SullyGnome, the hours streamed has spiked by 4% (a considerable amount given the size of Twitch,) a total of 1,781,233 hours have been broadcast since Season 13 first dropped. Valorant has slipped down the table to second with quite a considerable drop (7.7%), and is flanked by Fortnite and League of Legends. Given that LoL’s premier global tournament, MSI, is currently being broadcast on the streaming behemoth, this is even more shocking. Apex Legends has been the most streamed game on Twitch since Season 13 started 📈 What streamers have you been watching? pic.twitter.com/9cWX7xQrO4 — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) May 27, 2022 Back in November, 2021, Apex Legends overtook rival titles Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone as Twitch’s most popular battle royale, with streamers like NICKMERCS and iiTztimmy pulling millions of views in April alone. As the game continues to go from strength to strength, it’ll be interesting to see if a new challenger rears its head. For now, though, it looks like the fans want Apex!

  • Apex Legends: Does the Wingman need to get nerfed? – Dexerto

Apex Legends: Does the Wingman need to get nerfed? While it seems like most weapons in Apex Legends were made with distinct drawbacks, a lot of players are noticing that the Wingman feels to be lacking any real flaws. The pistol has been getting tremendous amounts of praise and use, but it seems that its overwhelmingly capabilities have had some wondering if it’s time to give it a slight nerf. The Wingman isn’t that hard to find, which has made it a popular choice at the start of the games, with many even hanging onto it in lieu of other weapons as the game draws on. The weapon can be used to great effect in both long-range and close quarter engagements, giving players like NRG’s Coby ‘dizzy’ Meadows various ways of destroying with the pistol. During the recent Apex Legends DLive Qualifiers, players in multiple top teams were heavily favoring the pistol. Since the Wingman provides steady aim and high damage to support the run-and-gun method, players were using it to nab quick kills throughout the map. Though some would point to the Wingman’s low rate of fire as the gun’s main crux, it hardly matters when a single headshot can deal up to 90 damage (over 100 if you have the Hop-Up). With the right attachments, the Wingman can be used as a primary weapon even in the most chaotic of firefights for players like Mandeee. With an extended mag in hand, the pistol’s 12-bullet clip is plenty in the hands of pro players like dizzy, Viss and more. Since Apex Legends has everyone playing on the same playlist, the gun can get really overpowered when players like shroud get a hold of it. Respawn Entertainment has many options when it comes to reducing the gun’s effectiveness by either increasing the reload time or lowering the amount of damage it does to players with higher tiers of armor. The Wingman’s current state has the gun consistently featured on the top of many prominent players’ weapon tier list for the game. The pistol has become a fan-favorite for a lot of players, but expect things to change once the game’s first major balance patch inevitably rolls around.

  • Apex Legends DLive tournament: March 2 Grand Finals preview – Dexerto

Apex Legends DLive tournament: March 2 Grand Finals preview The second Apex Legends DLive Tournament has already been providing some intense action for the new battle royale, and only 15 teams will remain to fight for the biggest stake in the $10,000 prize pool. Over 300 teams competed in the qualifiers to earn their spot in the March 2 finals and now only the very best in Apex will go head-to-head for two hours to claim the top honors. While only 10 teams advanced to the final from the February 23 qualifiers, DLive will be giving five more teams the chance to compete through a voting system on the DLive website. :eyes:The #ApexOnDLive grand final is this weekend! 300+ teams battled it out in the qualifier. 15 teams proved themselves worthy of competing for $10,000 USD in prizes. Who will come out champions on Saturday, March 2?https://t.co/lAmCRHbKfo#ApexLegends @PlayApex pic.twitter.com/stwLE0Ig5x — DLive (@OfficialDLive) February 27, 2019 Once the finals kick off at long last, fans can expect to see plenty of players utilizing the Wingman pistol. Almost every team in the Top 10 made heavy use of it, with one team even naming themselves after the powerful weapon. Despite the clever moniker of team ‘Wingman Winrate,’ the team to look out for will certainly be team ‘impulse,’ who managed to compile a staggering score of 253 points by nabbing 193 kills and six wins. As impressive as impulse was during the qualifiers, though, they were still closely trailed by the rest of the tournament’s top teams. Teams AllPlanned, Officials, BunkerBoys and Wingman Winrate all managed to best impulse in the Win column with seven wins each. Since every kill only gives one point to the total score while Wins give a team 10 points, it’ll be interesting to see how the game plan shifts come March 2 when teams try to climb the ladder. With only 23 points separating the first team in the qualifiers from the tenth, it seems that squads will be hard pressed to find new ways to separate themselves from the pack in order to snag the lions share of the $10,000 prize pool. You can find the full prize breakdown for the March 2 Finals below:

Apex Legends: Dizzy and co. win Dr Disrespect’s $25,000 Code Red tournament – recap and final placements NRG Esports pro players dizzy and KingRichard, along with former Overwatch pro Mendokusaii, have won the March 1 running of the Code Red tournament for Apex Legends, hosted by Dr Disrespect, BoomTV, and EsportsArena. The trio, named King’s Canyon, edged out popular streamers Summit1G, JoshOG, and Iam_Chappie (The Big Weiners) in the grand final to secure the $13,000 first place prize. The top three was rounded off with Reid’s Money Team, which featured vsns, chocoTaco, and HusKerrs who ended up losing to Summit’s team in the Loser’s Bracket final. If you are unfamiliar with how Code Red tournaments work, make sure to brush up on the format before reading on with the rest of this recap. Code Red is a double-elimination tournament featuring eight teams of three players each. Since custom matchmaking is not yet publicly available in Apex Legends, teams matched up against each other in the bracket had to separately load into three public matches each and try to score as many points possible, based on the following format: – Wins = +8 points – Kills = +1 point Having won the Winner’s Bracket, King’s Canyon came into the grand final with a huge advantage, as they only had to win one of two matches, while The Big Weiners, who were coming from the Loser’s Bracket, had to win two in a row. The match start off very tight, as dizzy and co. held a slight 28-23 lead after both teams won their respective games in map one. Map two very much followed the same trend, with both teams winning their games again, and King’s Canyon led 56-48 going into the third map of match one. Apex Legends pro Dizzy and co. win $25,000 Code Red tournament – recap and final placements For the third time in a row, NRG Esports pro players Dizzy and KingRichard, along with Overwatch pro Mendokusaii, have won the March 29 running of the Code Red tournament for Apex Legends. As usual, the March 29 Code Red Apex Legends tournament featured some of the biggest names of the battle royale community, and was hosted by none other than popular Twitch streamer Dr Disrespect, along with online gaming platform BoomTV. If you are not familiar with how format used in this tournament, make sure to read up on it in our Code Red Apex Legends tournament hub before continuing with this recap. Recap of March 29 Code Red Apex Legends Grand Final Dizzy, KingRichard, and Mendokusaii, whose team name was Twitch Prime Time, beat out vsnz, chocoTaco, and HusKerrs (Reid’s Money Clan) in the Grand Final to secure the $13,000 first place prize. Having already beaten Reid’s Money Clan to win the Winner’s Bracket final, Twitch Prime Time needed to only claim one match in the Grand Final to win the tournament, while their opponents needed to take two back-to-back. Knowing this, Reid’s Money Clan surprised everyone as they took the first match 36-19, resetting the bracket and forcing a winners-take-all second match for the first time in tournament history. With everything on the line, the second game started off well for Twitch Prime Time, as they put together 25 eliminations and a match victory to take a 33-18 lead after the first of three maps. The second map turned out to be a very tight affair, as both teams put up nearly identical scores to go into the third and final map with Dizzy and co. leading 64-50. Seemingly dead in the water, Reid’s Money Clan put up a tremendous effort to close the game in the final map, but Twitch Prime Time clutched up with a victory in their match to secure the championship Grand Final 95-86. :trophy:3x Code Red Champs!:trophy: Congrats to @Dizzy @KingRichard and @Mendo on winning their third #CodeRedLive ft. @PlayApex :second_place_medal: – @THEvsnz @HusKerrs @chocoTaco :third_place_medal: – @xQc @Overpowered @m0xyOWThanks to all those who tuned in and to all those who participated! • Apex Legends pro dizzy demonstrates incredible survival tactic using a door – Dexerto

Apex Legends pro dizzy demonstrates incredible survival tactic using a door Apex Legends often rewards players for imaginative or insane movement to increase their chance of survival in the grueling battle royale, but NRG’s Coby ‘dizzy’ Meadows went back to basics to keep himself in the game. Respawn Entertainment’s title has been swarmed with players who have been discovering new and intriguing stats in the game, so it was hilarious to see one up-and-coming pro expertly barricade himself from using a simple tactic. During a stream, dizzy and his team were being pursued by an attacking squad. Since they were heavily under-equipped to take a fight, they elected to run. Dizzy then found a room with a single entry and barricaded himself in by positioning his character behind the door. What followed was a comically effective way of preventing unwanted guests from entering the room he was in. The hilarity only grew as Dizzy healed up, while constantly body blocking the door and pressing E to close it as the enemy tried to open it. When the jig was finally up, Dizzy threw a grenade at the entrance and quickly backed off. At that moment, his downed teammates and an enemy Gibraltar stormed in. After knocking out the foe, Dizzy proceeded to hide in plain sight among the downed players until an opposing Lifeline came in. The ruse gave him the extra seconds needed to get the jump on the incoming player. Even though it was simplistic in its approach, the effectiveness and spontaneity of the peculiar technique is why some believe dizzy could be the best player in the game right now.

  • Apex Legends pro Dizzy shows how to combo Octane’s Ultimate for quicker rotations – Dexerto

Apex Legends pro Dizzy shows how to combo Octane’s Ultimate for quicker rotations Respawn EntertainmentNRG’s Apex Legends star Coby ‘dizzy’ Meadows routinely sets the bar for impressive feats in the battle royale game, and is now doing the same with its latest character, Octane. The battle royale’s lineup of unique Legends have relatively straightforward powers, but the game gives a lot of creative leeway for their abilities to make something more out of their uses. Dizzy was able to do just that when trailing behind a firefight that was starting to break out, leading him to get imaginative with Octane’s Launch Pad to quickly close the gap. As usual, dizzy was on a ravenous hunt for kills in a match, and while one battle was dying down, he heard another not too far off starting to ramp up. Though it initially appeared like dizzy would be late for the new engagement, he decided to give an old Launch Pad he’d put down prior to good use. After lining up where he wanted to go, dizzy threw down a new Launch Pad on top of his old one, which made it go flying forward – but the play wasn’t over. Dizzy held W after throwing down the new ult, which sent him in the exact same trajectory as the Launch Pad. When the pad landed on the ground, dizzy soon followed, allowing him to take another spring into the sky in quick succession. Before his stream knew it, dizzy had passed up his teammate who was already in hot pursuit, and led his squad into the fight. The inventive use of his Ultimate let him make an insanely quick rotation that caught an opposing squad off guard. After a few more quick battles, dizzy managed to add yet another Champion screen to his collection. Though Octane has barely been released, it seems like the young Apex pro is already synergizing with the new Legend which is producing incredible new plays.

  • Apex Legends players discover the true value of the Hammerpoint – Dexerto

Apex Legends players discover the true value of the Hammerpoint Apex Legends features an extensive arsenal of weapons capable of mowing down opponents, and some people are starting to see how effective the Hammerpoints can actually be. There’s been a ton of changes to Apex Legends’ meta since the game launched on February 4. In the game’s first competitive environments, the Wingman was by far the most popular gun for pros to take with them throughout a given match. Even though certain weapons can rise to prominence, there are tons of combos that go under the radar for a lot of players – leading to a ton of missed opportunities when deciding which loadouts are best. Hammerpoint shreds Apex Legends players In a Reddit post, user ‘aaron994’ highlighted just how much damage they can deliver with a P2020 equipped with the Hop Up attachment, Hammerpoint. Although brief, the clip shows the player getting EMP’d from Crypto’s ultimate, but soon after they lock onto a nearby foe and unleashed with the empowered pistol. Aaron noted that the “Hammerpoints are underrated” and they definitely have a point, seeing how fast they shredded their foe. In five landed shots, they were able to deal 176 damage to the other player which was enough to get a quick kill before retreating back to safety. For those unfamiliar, Hop Ups come in different varieties, with the Hammerpoint being specific to the P2020 and Mozambique shotgun. Equipping the attachment to the pistols will give the weapons a buff to the damage they deal to unshielded targets. A ton of players are already familiar with how much the attachment reinvents the Mozambique, which was at one point notorious for being the worst weapon in the game, and it also has a huge effect on the semi-automatic pistol. As seen in the clip, it took a few bullets to break the opponent’s shield, but after that the Hammerpoint made quick work of the exposed player. While players should definitely have a reliable primary weapon in their loadout, a Hop Up’d P2020 is definitely nothing to scoff at when at short to mid-range considering its tight bullet spray.

  • Apex Legends players discover strange problem with Knockdown Shields – Dexerto

Apex Legends players discover strange problem with Knockdown Shields Apex Legends players are having a hard time picking which Knockdown Shield they want to take from loot bins and it could soon force Respawn Entertainment to make a change. The game’s developers have had to sort out a number of different bugs and lingering issues since the game first released – all of which comes with the territory – but this change would surely be one of the most simple. Some fans would suggest that it’s the most important as well, after being tricked into thinking common Knockdown Shield items are actually much better than what they appear at first glance. There’s even been a side-by-side image posted online to show that there’s not much difference, too. In terms of protecting yourself against other enemies in Apex Legends, there are a number of different Knockdown Shield options available to use. These include common, rare, epic and legendary. Just for perspective, the difference between a common and legendary shield is 100 health and 750 health, meaning that one is much more useful than the other. However, some players are having a tough time distinguishing between the two rarities, as seen in a post to Reddit by user chrisnotblack. The player is staring at both common and legendary Knockdown Shields in the screenshot below and there is hardly any difference, something one member of the game’s online community described as a big “problem” in the thread. “Gold and Common Shields look so similar in crates that I almost didn’t notice,” the user posted, clearly frustrated that the difference in color isn’t strong enough to see at first glance. An easy solution for Respawn would be to tweak their color system, although it’s hard to gage whether or not this is an issue that much of the game’s player base believe to be a big problem. It does appear to only be affecting the way Knockdown Shields look, whereas it’s clearer for other items. Judging by the post, though, which has over 2,000 upvotes in the Apex Legends subreddit, there’s certainly a discussion to be had among developers to look at potential alternatives. At the time of writing, the issue with Knockdown Shields isn’t mentioned on the game’s official Trello board – a platform used to inform players about what to expect in terms of fixes in upcoming updates – although that could change in due course.

  • Apex Legends players disappointed as Respawn neglects promised Pathfinder rework – Dexerto

Apex Legends players disappointed as Respawn neglects promised Pathfinder rework Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have called out Respawn over their plans for a Pathfinder rework dating back to 2020, expressing their disappointment as the fan-favorite MRVN remains untouched heading into 2022. Player-designed reworks have gained popularity to try and help Pathfinder, but nothing is confirmed. Pathfinder mains are still waiting for a promised rework to their favorite Recon Legend dating back nearly 18 months. The rework was teased during the launch of Apex Legends Season 6 in August 2020, and since Pathfinder mains have been giving Respawn plenty of examples to power-up the once-meta Recon Legend. “In the future we will take another look at Pathfinder to see what else we could do to make him feel more unique,” the developers said in the patch notes. Nearly 18 months on, and players want change from Respawn. Player complaints have gone viral as Pathfinder has yet to receive any major rework from the developers, and they want change coming into 2022. In a viral Reddit thread on January 6, most players listed out their favorite rework ideas. This included letting Pathfinder destroy his own ziplines, giving him a notification if someone uses his zipline (like when an enemy passes a Caustic barrel), or even increasing his zipline speed. That’s not to say Pathfinder has been untouched for 18 months. Changes to his Grappling Hook during Season 7’s launch buffed his kit slightly, and he had Low Profile removed in March 2021. However, Pathfinder is slowly becoming outdated in Apex Legends. However, Respawn are yet to address the community concerns. The next update, Dark Depths, is the first possible opportunity for the developers to ship some changes, but no balance updates have been confirmed ahead of the January 11 event. Everyone’s favorite MRVN has been outshone by both new Recon Legends like Seer, as well as the high-mobility Ash and Valkyrie. While he boasts an 8.9% pick rate thanks in part to his beloved grapple mechanic, he doesn’t crack into the pro meta or the top of the tier lists. For now, Pathfinder mains will still have to play the waiting game for that eventual rework.

  • Respawn disables Valkyrie in Firing Range over Apex Legends kills exploit – Dexerto

Respawn disables Valkyrie in Firing Range over Apex Legends kills exploit Respawn EntertainmentRespawn have disabled Valkyrie in the Apex Legends training mode, the Firing Range, in response to a stat-padding exploit that lets players tack on extra kills to their K/D ratios and Legend trackers. Valkyrie is the newest character to enter the Apex Legends roster after the Season 9: Legacy update. The Winged Avenger has been really popular with players, but now it seems the devs need to implement a fix for her. Only a week after the Season 9 patch dropped, the studio has been alerted to an exploit that lets people cook the numbers on their stats due to a bug. “Shut down the Firing Range and fix the bug where literally everyone is farming Valk kills in it,” Twitter user CloverWzy said. “My kill grind has been for nothing because everyone is abusing this shit, please.” @lowkeydbjosh @RSPN_Hideouts @RKRigney please someone, just get this message through and temporarily disable the range — CloverWzy (@CloverWzy) May 11, 2021 The word quickly spread with multiple people running into the same problem. Apparently the bug also worked the other way around and ruined people’s K/D ratio by tacking on the extra deaths that would happen during practice. Of course, there are in-game implications too since people can use the exploit to stat-pad their numbers displayed on the many stat trackers. Respawn are going to get to the bottom of the issue, but until then they’ve temporarily disabled Valkyrie in the Firing Range to put a stop to the problem. Quick @playapex update: We’ve temporarily disabled Valkyrie within the Firing Range due to a stats-related exploit. This will not affect your ability to give her a spin in Arenas or Battle Royale though so have at it! — Respawn (@Respawn) May 12, 2021 “Quick Apex Legends update: We’ve temporarily disabled Valkyrie within the Firing Range due to a stats-related exploit.” Respawn said. Since the main issue revolves around stats, the devs aren’t going to disable her in the battle royale mode or Arenas playlist while they look for a fix. The community hasn’t been happy with the exploit running rampant, and are hoping Respawn can find a fix to the issue soon.

  • Apex Legends players are discovering “dirty” plays for quick kills – Dexerto

Apex Legends players are discovering “dirty” plays for quick kills Apex Legends players are starting to refine sneaky strats to pick up quick eliminations in the battle royale – and some people might want to take note of them, just in case. Respawn Entertainment whisked away players to World’s Edge at the start of Season 3 on October 1, and since then people have been finding the best ways of staying alive in the unforgiving tundra of the new map. But all’s fair in love and war, especially since people are getting accustomed to the various mechanics in Apex. Meaning people getting smart on how to use them to their advantage in certain situations. Inventive bamboozles in Apex Legends For example, Reddit user ‘Euphoriaaa-’ showed a perfect bait to lure in unsuspecting players who make the mistake of tunneling onto their prize when discovering an Epic Body Shield. After discovering a purple armor just laying around, they decided to equip it and then immediately blow it up using an Arc Star. Well since they swapped back to their original armor, the damaged Epic still lay on the floor – seemingly unscathed. Then it was purely a waiting game. When an enemy Pathfinder came in to take the purple shield on the ground, Euphoriaaa sprung into action to claim their kill. The player admittedly said it was a “dog play” but a battle royale is supposed to weed out players in any way it can as long as players stick to the game’s rules. Watching the unfortunate play unfold inspired others to come forward with “dirty” plays they came up with or had happened to them, revealing a trove of helpful hints. “This is why I have trust issues,” user ‘WantonSonor’ said. “I picked up a Flatline from a Supply Bin yesterday and immediately got into an encounter… someone had changed it into Single Fire mode, there were only 4 rounds in the mag.” Then, of course, there’s the “Bunker 2.0” that one Caustic player was overly thrilled to discover on World’s Edge which can really get players paranoid. It seems like Apex Legends players are finding their own ways of having fun with cheeky plays throughout World’s Edge, and there’s bound to be more discovered in Season 3.

  • Apex Legends director reveals plans to make it more than a battle royale – Dexerto

Apex Legends director reveals plans to make it more than a battle royale Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is currently one of the most popular battle royale games in what is a saturated market, going toe-to-toe with Fortnite and Warzone – but developers Respawn Entertainment have plans to make it much more than that. [jwplayer Do3m9qnp] Apex is currently gearing up for its seventh season, which devs have boasted is their biggest yet in terms of new content, as they release the game’s third map, a new Legend, Horizon, and a host of new features like Clubs and a Steam launch. However, while the battle royale side of things is going from strength to strength, Respawn are ambitious, and have plans to take their Apex Legends universe to new places. Their focus might currently still be on the battle royale, but game director Chad Grenier has revealed that the studio has much grander plans for the future. The future of Apex Legends In an interview with Eurogamer, Grenier revealed that they are already working on content for up to Season 12 of Apex, as they try to plan as far ahead as possible. But, beyond just the new seasons of content, there is also a wider view about how they can take their roster of Legends and do new and exciting things. “Right now we’re a battle royale game. I think if you look into the future, we have a lot of conversations of, you know, should we expand beyond battle royale?” Grenier said. “We have this roster of legends that people love – how else can we use them? I think looking into the future, you’re probably going to see the game becoming more than just a battle royale game. You see we have all these LTMs (limited time modes) and other ways to play. I think that’s a great starting point.” What exactly this could mean is unclear, but we can make a few educated guesses. The most obvious would be some form of PvP multiplayer mode, Call of Duty style. Respawn’s Titanfall series already did this successfully, and many developers at the studio actually worked on the Modern Warfare series at Infinity Ward previously. The other obvious option would be PvE. They’ve already dabbled their toes in this with the Season 5 quest, which had small single-player ‘missions’ of sorts, but it wasn’t an all-out campaign or story mode as such. Given the great lore that Apex Legends has already built up through trailers, teaser and comics, it certainly would make sense to give it more gameplay aspects too. For now, the focus is on Season 7, but it sounds like Apex Legends has big plans to innovate beyond the standard battle royale.

  • Apex Legends director explains reversal of controversial Battle Pass changes – Dexerto

Apex Legends director explains reversal of controversial Battle Pass changes RespawnThe developers of Apex Legends have reversed controversial changes to the game’s Battle Pass, and the game’s director has explained how the initial adjustments came about and why they changed course. On July 8, Respawn announced massive changes to the Apex Battle Pass. The most controversial part of the overhaul was how players could buy the Pass, making it only purchasable through real currency instead of in-game Apex Coins. The change was walked back on July 24, as the developers apologized to their player base and pledged to “get better” at transparently communicating why and when massive alterations are on the horizon. In an interview with IGN, Steven Ferreira, the Game Director for Apex Legends, laid out exactly why the controversial shift away from in-game currency was made. He said the decision came down to giving players more options with their hard-earned cash. Ferreira claimed Respawn felt players were getting more value from real currency as it allowed them “to make choices” compared to when they were locked into using Apex Coins. “And that’s why you’ve seen a shift in focus towards currencies and things that’ll allow players to choose where do they want to spend that, what do they want to spend it on. As opposed to, we’ve made 110 levels versus bespoke content to unlock.” Ferreira also confirmed the change was made by Respawn, not EA. They looked through the data and saw how few players were “engaging” with the pass and equipping the content they unlocked. “So our focus was to shift development of that content over to content that players are actually equipping, and then do find valuable. And like I said, moving some of that over into unlocking currencies that’ll allow you to choose what are the things you want,” he said. The director also reiterated the previous apology given out to players, and he claimed that the devs now understand that this kind of change needs to be rolled out slowly with more community feedback and engagement. “Just dropping this onto the community without engaging the community in the process of designing this, I think, for something that clearly the community cares about it as much as the Battle Pass, was a misstep on our side,” Ferreira said. Apex players have received the developer’s response well, but they are still apprehensive about the game’s future.

  • Apex Legends devs wowed by impressive Bloodhound cosplay – Dexerto

Apex Legends devs wowed by impressive Bloodhound cosplay RespawnOne creative Apex Legends fan has been able to impress members of the Respawn Entertainment team with their eye-catching Bloodhound cosplay. Since the release of Apex Legends back on February 4, fans across the globe have been lining up to show off their appreciation for the popular battle royale and its characters. Some have gone to extreme lengths to pull off cosplay ideas, while others have used their artistic talents to drop some incredible fan art. Not all of them have been able to draw a response from the game’s developers, though, especially not when it comes to glowing praise. Yet, Twitter user LoneSn1per was able to crack the code with their Bloodhound outfit. The costume mirrored the legend perfectly, with the Shogun mask, detailed red pads and backpack of arrows that can’t be used in-game but do look enticing. Incredibly, to complete the look, the cosplayer even had a replica crow on their arm too. In an accompanying comment, the user revealed that it took two days, two people and 200 dollars to get everything ready, including styling the gun to make it as close to a match as possible. 600The cosplay was shared by another user on Reddt, and was an instant hit with fans, even gaining the attention of a few Respawn developers who scour the subreddit for fan feedback. “This is so effing rad! Great job on it,” commented Garza_RSPN, the game’s community coordinator. Another impressed dev, MoyParra – a senior animator for the game – replied: “That is fantastic! It’s always so rewarding to see these types of posts! Thanks for sharing,” with an applauding emoji attached. The reddit user who shared the cosplay was later busted for pretending it was their own creation – showing the design was so good some people were even willing to steal it. Even though some Apex Legends cosplays have used photo editing software to make themselves really stand out, and others have used more detailed props, having an eye-catching Bloodhound look isn’t simple. Yet, when it’s pulled off like LoneSn1per, it’s incredibly impressive and will have cosplayers falling over themselves to outdo it.

  • Apex Legends devs worried new Legend Valkyrie will be overpowered in Season 9 – Dexerto

Apex Legends devs worried new Legend Valkyrie will be overpowered in Season 9 Respawn/EAApex Legends dev Daniel Klein has revealed that Valkyrie might be “too strong” when Season 9, Legacy, gets underway, but Respawn can always make changes depending on how things play out. Apex Legends is quickly approaching Season 9, Legacy, with changes being made to Olympus, a new weapon in the form of the Bocek Bow, and, of course, a new legend – Valkyrie. Whenever a new legend is added, players quickly move to test them out and see if they’re going to fit in with the meta. Some, like Rampart, are only popular for a few weeks and then players simply move back to their main character, typically because the new legend is underpowered. However, that might not be a concern with Valkyrie. She’s already shaping up to be a pretty interesting legend with a deep backstory, and the devs have teased that she’ll have some decent power right from the get-go. Respawn’s Daniel Klein, who is typically the go-to developer for responses and answers about legend balancing, fielded a few questions about the new season on Reddit. Read More: Apex Legends Arenas: Everything we know – Plenty of fans revealed their excitement for Valkyrie, but Klein responded to one that said they hoped the new legend would be strong on launch. “Oh she’ll be strong,” the lead game designer said. “Terrified right now she might be too strong, but I’ve called my shots and now all we can do is wait.” Comment byu/Shpentzy from discussion inapexlegends As Respawn have done in the past, if the legend is just too strong, they’ll look to reign them in with changes. Though, it’s unlikely that the legend would be changed say a week after launch unless something was completely busted. While the devs might be a little concerned, we’ll just have to wait and see how it shakes out. Season 9, otherwise known as Legacy, releases on May 4, so fans can decide for themselves then just how strong Valkyrie is.

  • Apex Legends devs working to tackle ‘account selling’ with high-levels to cheaters – Dexerto

Apex Legends devs working to tackle ‘account selling’ with high-levels to cheaters Respawn/EAApex Legends developers have confirmed that they’re trying to tackle account selling, seeing as hackers can buy highly-ranked accounts and ruin top-tier lobbies. While Respawn have tried to clamp down on cheaters being able to ruin Apex Legends matches over the last few seasons, it’s not uncommon to fight someone running around with an aimbot or wallhacks. Some cheaters will openly flaunt what they’re doing on stream too, taunting the developers with their cheats as they rack up win after win. While plenty of cheaters focus on ruining casual matches, there are still plenty who try and get away with it in ranked lobbies as well. This has been the cause of much frustration for pro players and aspiring talents, as they’ve repeatedly called on Respawn to clean things up. Well, the devs are making moves, especially when it comes to buying and selling top-level accounts. Buying a high-level account has existed in gaming forever, especially as a way to get around bans, but it has become a pretty lucrative thing in recent years given the influx of cosmetics and ranked matches. After Cloud9’s Jamison ‘PVPX’ Moore flagged that one notable Apex cheater has been resurfacing countless times, Respawn’s security lead Conor ‘Hideouts’ Ford noted that they’ve been banned but might be purchasing new accounts – which is something they’re trying to stamp out. “Buying high-level accounts does exist and is being worked on but I can assume this is what the user has been doing to be in higher ranking lobbies consistently,” Hideouts tweeted, noting that the player in question had been banned previously. Buying high level accounts does exist and is being worked on but I can assume this is what the user has been doing to be in higher ranking lobbies consistently. I can’t say much else about without divulging private information but that 4 day turnover rate should not be happening — Conor Ford / Hideouts (@RSPN_Hideouts) April 19, 2022 While the developer didn’t give many details about how they could clamp down on players selling accounts to hackers, logic dictates that it would likely have something to do with a switch in IP address or a possible email/password change. It remains to be seen as to when they might be able to clean up the issues, but for now, keep an eye out for suspicious players.

  • Apex Legends devs weighing up seismic BR shift to remove the Dropship – Dexerto

Apex Legends devs weighing up seismic BR shift to remove the Dropship Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends developers are weighing up a huge change to the BR mode that could greatly shift how professional and competitive matches are played. Apex Legends developer EA has laid out plans for a divisive change that may completely alter the way the pro matches are played out. The new change would see the Dropship being completely removed and instead, players would directly spawn into one of the 29 points of interest around the map. These preset spawn locations would be drafted at the start of each ALGS playday, giving teams the opportunity to strategize around their spawn location. This is a massive shift from the dropship, how it would spawn on a random side of the map and cross it at any angle. Teams often have a preferred POI when dropping, and the more randomized drop angle and first-ring pull have a significant effect on the team’s rotations. Now with the proposed changes, this may no longer be the case. The Preset Spawn System is currently available in private matches and will allow teams to choose one of the 29 preset spawn points on World’s Edge or Storm Point. This change is intended to go live with Split 2 of the Regular Season of ALGS Year 4, based on feedback. The devs have stated that they’ll also implement a similar system to other maps when they are added to ALGS. It’s worth noting that this proposal is still in its draft phase, however, with the devs asking for players to provide questions and feedback about the proposed changes. So there are chances that this controversial change doesn’t hit professional Apex at all.

  • Apex Legends lead dev wants penalty for early leavers in Arenas – Dexerto

Apex Legends lead dev wants penalty for early leavers in Arenas Respawn EntertainmentRespawn are looking into ways of improving Apex Legends new Arenas mode, and one of the lead designers echoed community sentiment for having a penalty levied toward early leavers. Apex players have been wanting penalties against leavers even before Arenas came to the game. Quitters in the battle royale have ruined their fair share of matches in the past, but a leaver in the 3v3 mode is much more apparent. While there’s still a lot of work to do in developing Arenas, Respawn are willing to see what other changes the player base wants to see – besides the upcoming Ranked playlist, which still doesn’t have a timeline for release. In opening the floor to the public, Respawn’s lead designer Carlos ‘pinedsman’ Pinedagave his take on what Arenas update he’d like to see in the future. So I understand everyone is excited for Ranked Arenas, but what other Arenas updates would you like to see? I’ll start: – penalty for early leavers— Carlos Pineda 🇵🇭 (@pinedsman) May 18, 2021 “So I understand everyone is excited for Ranked Arenas, but what other Arenas updates would you like to see?” Pineda said. “I’ll start: penalty for early leavers” Members of the Apex community have been exploring ways of how to punish leavers with ideas ranging from implementing an Honor system to paying Legends tokens to exit a match. It’s not confirmed there will be penalties for leavers, but seeing one of the top Apex designers acknowledging the need for ‘retribution’ will be reassuring for many. Respawn are planning to add penalties for quitters and loss forgiveness to Arenas in #ApexLegends. “We hate when people leave early so we are definitely looking into leaver penalties and loss forgiveness for Arenas.” pic.twitter.com/mrCjVfmQBm — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) May 19, 2021 In a recent Respawn AMA on Reddit, Pineda expanded a bit more about how the Apex Legends developers could “adapt” to leavers, so they’re looking into punishments as well as loss forgiveness for teammates unfortunate enough to have a teammate abandon. “Much like you, we hate when people leave early so we are definitely looking into leaver penalties and loss forgiveness for Arenas,” Pineda said. • Apex Legends devs want to remove Low Profile from every legend after Pathfinder buff – Dexerto

Apex Legends devs want to remove Low Profile from every legend after Pathfinder buff RespawnApex Legends developers have revealed their intentions to remove Low Profile from every legend that is affected by the perk, after Pathfinder had the Passive removed in the Chaos Theory Patch Notes. Apex Legends developers Respawn have, in the past, spoken of their hesitancy regarding Low Profile and Fortified – Passive Perks introduced to try and balance the effects of different sized hitboxes. Back in November, they even described them as a “curse” on the battle royale. Caustic and Gibraltar, as larger legends and therefore easier to hit, were given Fortified, meaning they see incoming damage reduced by 15%. Smaller legends who are harder to hit – Lifeline, Pathfinder, Wattson and Wraith – were given Low Profile, meaning incoming damage is increased by 5%. However, in the Chaos Theory Collection Event, Pathfinder had Low Profile removed. The buff for the robotic scout caught many by surprise, who quickly floated other legends they want to see without Low Profile. Respawn essentially justified the changes by explaining that Pathfinder’s hitbox is too large to have the negative effects of Low Profile. “Although Path is still mobile, his hitbox is large,” they said. “While his overall win rate and encounter win rate is by no means low, it’s hard to justify keeping Low Profile on a hitbox of his size.” In response to the patch notes, one player called for Wattson to receive the same treatment, claiming she’s in a poor spot in the game’s Season 8 meta and the removal of Low Profile would be a valid buff. Replying, Respawn’s Lead Game Designer Daniel Klein said: “My goal is to remove it from every character in the game eventually, but we gotta figure out how to nerf Lifeline before we can do that.” Whether Apex actually reaches a spot where all Low Profile perks are removed from the game remains to be seen, but it brings an interesting dynamic into potential buffs and nerfs legends could receive. Could we see some medium-sized legends given Fortified as a buff, for example? Whatever is coming in terms of legend buffs and nerfs, Respawn are clearly cautious to keep the game as balanced as possible. We expect the next major update will be at the start of Season 9.

  • Apex Legends devs want to bring back Skull Town in a new way – Dexerto

Apex Legends devs want to bring back Skull Town in a new way Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer rSmq5Fo4] Skull Town isn’t completely dead yet as the Respawn Entertainment devs have indicated their ambitions to one day reintroduce the POI in a new way to Apex Legends. Respawn design director on Apex, Jason McCord, told Gamasutra that he’s thinking of ways to reintroduce the location in a “more healthy” state that would benefit the overall game. For longtime Apex faithfuls, dropping into Skull Town was the default ‘shoot now, ask later’ tactic where action would spring up at a moment’s notice. But players had to see their favorite location in the Arena disappear before their eyes at the start of Season 5 when the events of the story sank the town, along with Thunderdome, in lieu of the Broken Coast. Though we’ve seen Skull Town come back in some capacity since then, such as the Kings Canyon After Dark LTM during the Grand Soiree in September, players have been clamoring for a more meaningful comeback. Thankfully McCord gave everyone the lifeline they’ve been hoping for when talking about Skull Town and its reception from the larger Apex community. “What I take away from the whole experience is that Skull Town feels like, to some people, their favorite deathmatch map in one of their favorite games,” McCord said. “I want to think about ways to allow people to experience the location again, in a way that is more healthy for the game overall.” To temper expectations, McCord did say that he has “no idea what that means” in terms of actually bringing Skull Town back, but he’ll “be thinking on it” as Apex’s development continues. The Respawn dev noted how Skull Town’s popularity was a double-edged sword seeing as it was “hindering creativity” when thinking of Season 5 changes. “When discussing how we want to update Kings Canyon in Season 5,” McCord explained. “Anything we could think of felt overshadowed by Skull Town. It’s such a popular drop – would anyone even care if we added all these other locations?” It’s still unclear how the POI will ever come back to Apex if not in an LTM, but at least McCord still has the beloved location in his mind for a future season.

  • Apex Legends devs want players to name Ash’s pet rat – Dexerto

Apex Legends devs want players to name Ash’s pet rat Respawn EntertainmentSeason 11 of Apex Legends is almost upon us, and while many players are eagerly awaiting new legend Ash, others are more taken by her pet rat – and the devs want fans to name it. When the next season of Apex Legends debuts on November 2, players will be able to enter the battlefield as new character Ash, a ruthless simulacrum that houses the mind of former mercenary Dr Ashleigh Reid. While Ash will show no mercy to her enemies, she does have a cute pet rat that will add “a bit of humanity” to the otherwise cold character, according to the devs at Respawn. “Ash’s rat has no name. This was a request from us in the animation department with a particular purpose in mind,” explained lead animator Moy Parra in a detailed Twitter thread. “We wanted to stay true to the character of Ash who wouldn’t show much affection to anyone or care about naming her rat. Therefore we decided to not name it internally so as to not accidentally start caring for it ourselves.” She continued: “Ash’s rat serves an important purpose, however. It allowed us to show a bit of humanity from the character, without compromising the character itself.” Therefore as we animated this little critter we decided to not name it internally so as to not accidentally start caring for it ourselves and have this bleed through our work as we came up with ideas for Ash. Yes!.. animators think about these things 😉 — Moy Parra 🎮 (@_moyparra) October 27, 2021 Just because the devs decided to keep Ash’s rat nameless, that doesn’t mean the Apex Legends community can’t give it a name, of course. In fact, the devs are actually encouraging that to happen. “This does not mean that the community shouldn’t come up with a fun name for it,” Moy continued, stating that her favorite suggestion so far is Ronin before instructing the Apex community to “Go name that rat!” Read More: Who is Ash in Apex Legends? – Ronin does seem to be the most popular pick among players, but some other suggestions include Dust, Ember, and Soot – all clearly inspired by the name of its owner, Ash. It doesn’t sound as though there will ever be an official name for Ash’s pet rat, but we’re sure the community will decide on one together once the new legend arrives in Season 11: Escape.

  • Apex Legends devs planning Gibraltar rework to shake up “must-pick” status – Dexerto

Apex Legends devs planning Gibraltar rework to shake up “must-pick” status Respawn EntertainmentGibraltar is in danger of losing his “must pick” status in Apex Legends, but Respawn’s developers think that’s a good thing — the iconic Kiwi has steered too far away from being “fun” anymore, and that’s a bad thing, they say. In a future patch, the Apex Legends devs are plotting to ship a Gibraltar update, targeting his ‘bubble’ ability (likely small nerfs) and how fun he is to play. Gibraltar has been a mainstay in Respawn’s battle royale for some time now and reigns as a top pick in the pro scene. This is due to the legend’s incredible “Dome of Protection,” which gives Apex Legends squads a chance to survive firefights or reposition in safety. All that is under the microscope, warns dev John Larson. In an interview with Dexerto’s Kijanna Henry, the Apex Legends balance director confirmed the team is eyeing a rework for Gibraltar, and it may be soon. “Must pick” status as odds with “fun” According to battle royale developer Larson (known as JayBiebs online), Gibraltar has become a clear “must pick” character at the game’s highest levels. High-ranked grinders and pro players are picking him “out of necessity,” even though Gibraltar is no longer “fun.” The main reason behind this dramatic swing is that his abilities and what he brings to a squad are invaluable, meaning one of each trio should have him, but the player stuck on Gibby suffers from the Kiwi defender’s long cooldowns. “Generally,” Larson explained, “using abilities is fun, pressing that button.” Gibraltar mains are robbed of that “fun” dynamic, but when they do get to use their abilities they can swing skirmishes and entire games in a team’s favor. Gibraltar bubble under microscope One potential avenue for Gibraltar changes would be through the legend’s Dome of Protection ability, which has become an iconic part of the defender’s kit over the years. “It’s tough though,” Larson admitted, “because a lot of the ideas I see are things like, give bubble health. I don’t like how that would affect Gibby, and that’s not really how I’d nerf the bubble. That would be way too big of a nerf, especially at the higher levels of the game, and especially in pro play. “What I like is that the bubble is a great tool for resetting in combat. That’s why he’s a go-to support pick, because not many other legends in Apex have that 360-degrees protection, and it’s just the best for resetting.” Instead, Larson and his team have been eyeing “taking out some of his offensive power” through his ultimate and how Gibraltar uses his bubble aggressively. Related segment begins 14:24 in video below. Low play rate stops Respawn plans Larson remained silent on when any Gibraltar rework would actually hit live Apex Legends servers, but did admit there’s one roadblock stopping it from coming soon — Gibby actually has a low play rate. “It’s a tough sell, nerfing a character with less than five percent play rate,” the dev admitted, and said any rework won’t arrive until their concerns are solved. “What we’re grappling with is how we transition him from a must-pick that no one wants to play, to an enticing pick that’s not as dominant. “If someone has an idea to nerf Gibby’s bubble,” he added, “but also make it so you can boot up pubs and have fun with Gibby, that would be the dream.”

  • Apex Legends devs hint at undiscovered Easter eggs on World’s Edge map – Dexerto

Apex Legends devs hint at undiscovered Easter eggs on World’s Edge map The hunt for easter eggs in Apex Legends has been reignited as a developer update suggests there are plenty of undiscovered secrets still buried throughout World’s Edge. The Apex community was a force to be reckoned with during Season 1 and 2 when it came to finding all of the fun surprises that the devs laid out across Kings Canyon. Whether it was miniature nessy dolls etched into strange crevices or vague connections to the greater Titanfall universe, players were keen on making sure nothing was left unchecked when combing through the game. But it seems like either the easter eggs catalogue is too large in Season 3 or the hunt for them has hit a stall, since some devs have noticed quite a number of them have yet to be accounted for. In either case Senior Level Designer at Respawn Entertainment Rodney Reece wants to rekindle the drive in players to uncover the game’s secrets with a timely public service announcement to the fan base. PSA: It’s been a month now, and half the Easter Eggs have not been found yet in World’s Edge. #ApexLegends #Season3 — Rodney Reece (@RodneyReece7) November 6, 2019 “PSA: It’s been a month now,” he said. “And half the easter eggs have not been found yet in World’s Edge.” Passionate easter egg hunters in Apex might be hurt from the realization, but it seems effort to uncover all of the little inside jokes on World’s Edge still has a long way to go. Although it might be discouraging to hear, there could be a good reason for why easter eggs have yet to be discovered. In the one month that Season 3 has been live, there has been enough content to keep players extremely busy in the packed slate for the month of October. As soon as Season 3 started, players were whisked away to a brand new map, not to mention the addition of Apex Legends’ eleventh character, Crypto. Soon after the Halloween event hit, players were sent back to Kings Canyon but this time with a Halloween zombies twist to keep them engaged for quite some time. Now that the hype has settled, at least in part, Apex Legends players might just answer Reece’s call and get back onto the hunt for all of the secrets on World’s Edge and beyond.

  • Apex Legends accused of “stealing” design for Season 2 Caustic skin – Dexerto

Apex Legends accused of “stealing” design for Season 2 Caustic skin EAApex Legends received a lot of praise for their Season 2 reveal at EA Play 2019, but it wasn’t all good, as some fans believe the new Caustic skin might have been lifted from another design. Adding skins into battle royale titles is a very simple way to monetize them, as seen with Epic Games and Fortnite Battle Royale. Apex Legends is trying to do a better job of implementing that but it looks like they have found themselves in a bit of hot water. The new Caustic skin that was revealed at EA Play might have been inspired by an artist’s creation, with some similarities pointed out by fans. Did Respawn steal the skin? It’s impossible to know the exact intentions of the developers when things like this happen, but some fans, and even the artist themselves have highlighted the likeness. Reddit user Dingdongdelongwong posted a side-by-side of the two images to show their similarities. The mask and crown are pretty hard to ignore in this case, leading many fans to argue Respawn just lifted the design from here and incorporated it into the new skin. Ivan King, the designer of the mask and crown look, also tweeted to Respawn to ask for an explanation. Hey @PlayApex can you explain me this? #ApexLegends #IvanKingArt pic.twitter.com/FUYwkqPO2V — Ivan King (@IvanKing777) June 9, 2019 Neither Respawn or EA have commented on the design at the time of writing. When does Season 2 begin? Apex Legends Season 2 starts July 2 and with it comes the new Battle Pass, a ranked mode, the new L-Star SMG and a new Legend in Wattson. This means fans still have a roughly a month to wait for the new content so they’ll have to sit tight and continue grinding out Season 1 in the meantime.

  • Apex Legends devs promise they’re working to solve ‘unbalanced’ Arenas matchmaking – Dexerto

Apex Legends devs promise they’re working to solve ‘unbalanced’ Arenas matchmaking Respawn EntertainmentThe latest addition to Apex Legends, a popular 3v3 Arenas mode, is already in line for some changes as Respawn Entertainment has confirmed a matchmaking improvement is on the way. With Season 9 of Apex, Respawn pushed out one of the biggest updates yet. Referred to as Apex Legends Legacy, this major patch released with new character Valkyrie, the powerful Bocek Bow, and even an entirely new mode. Arenas has quickly gone on to become a fan-favorite playlist due to the unique variety of gameplay on offer. It’s completely different from the battle royale experience, offering up bite-sized action with all the Legends you’ve come to love over the years. While the mode has been received well, for the most part, it’s not quite perfect just yet. Players have been frustrated with early matchmaking issues, though Respawn has already outlined that improvements are in the works. One key criticism of the 3v3 mode gained traction in a May 27 Reddit post. Experienced veterans were quickly growing tired of being matched up with relative newcomers. “I’m well over 500 with just under 3K hours in the game,” Reddit user ‘JimeeB’ said. “But I just played 10 matches of Arenas where not one of my teammates was above level 150.” With hundreds of upvotes and dozens of comments echoing a similar experience, this post caught the eye of Respawn’s Lead Software Engineer Samy ‘ricklesauceur’ Duc. “I do believe this is what Respawn wants with their matchmaking,” one player suggested. “Not really,” the dev responded. “I am working on it.” Read More: Best Legends to use in Apex Legends Season 9 – “Overall the fairness of a game is pretty even but we understand it is a bit tiring when level disparity is high in your team composition. It will improve.” No exact timeline was mapped out, but it’s clearly a priority for Respawn. Arenas teams should feel a little more evenly matched once this fix arrives in Apex Legends. It might not be a perfect fit, with similarly experienced players filling out every team. Though the improvements should help balance the new competitive mode so that no one ever wants to leave out of frustration.

  • Apex Legends devs tease more ranked changes after Season 11 RP rework – Dexerto

Apex Legends devs tease more ranked changes after Season 11 RP rework Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends’ Season 11 ranked changes aren’t the end of all of Respawn’s plans for the competitive mode. Developers have teased future changes to the RP calculation system in upcoming updates. Apex Legends Season 11 shook things up in more ways than one. Not only did it add new Legend Ash, the Storm Point map, and the C.A.R. SMG weapon, it also changed how the rank points (RP) system work in ranked. More specifically, the developers tweaked the formula in a way that means players no longer need to win games to get the most out of their kill points (KP). Instead, they lifted the six-kill limit, putting a flat 175 point limit so you can frag out and still rank up even if you’re eliminated early. You still need to win to get the maximum amount of points (275), but you won’t be set back if you have a kill-hungry game but place in the top 5. Players also get more or less rank points depending on the difference in rank between them and their opponents. A Reddit user created a series of charts to make it easier for players to figure out how many rank points they’ll need to climb each rank. However, a developer responded and teased that even more changes are on the way. “These charts are going to get real confusing real soon,” developer ‘Exgeniar’ said. Then, when a fan asked whether that means he’s got more ranked changes planned, he added more fuel to the rumor mill, saying: “Time to make a calculator instead of charts.” He didn’t elaborate further. However, it’s got Apex Legends players expecting more ranked changes in the near future. The Season 11 ranked change has been rather divisive. While some have labeled it a “healthy change”, pros and high ranked players have called them “terrible” for promoting a bad playstyle. We will share more details on upcoming Apex Legends ranked changes once Respawn releases them.
