  • Apex Legends cheater gets banned during livestream – Dexerto

Apex Legends cheater gets banned during livestream Respawn EntertainmentNothing is more satisfying than seeing a hacker in Apex Legends get the justice they deserve, and the moment the banhammer struck was perfectly caught during a live Twitch stream. Respawn Entertainment has been hit hard with problems surrounding their popular battle royale. From players getting constant “code: leaf” errors to an insane amount of hackers throughout matches, the devs have a lot of work to do to tame their servers. But not all is without hope as the Apex Legends creators have been working hard to keep cheaters from ever connecting to another game again with their impressive banning spree that’s still going strong. What happened? In a satisfying clip from streamer ‘ShivFPS,’ a hacker and their squad made it down to the final six squads in their Apex match. Earlier in the stream, Shiv and his team were actually putting up a good performance against multiple squads before coming face-to-face with the cheating team when a firefight broke out in Bunker. After a short-lived chase, the hackers were able to track and eliminate Shiv and his team. While the streamer was convinced of their hacking ways, he stayed to view “waigai72” so his stream could see for themselves. Read More: Dizzy and Ace save shroud with genius move in Apex Legends after he goes AFK As expected, players in that squad were finding players and breaking shields with incredible ease. Then there were the various pinpoint accurate shots from long distances that plainly showed that they were cheating. Though it didn’t seem like Shiv was ready for what happened next, as the hacker he was spectating was in the middle of a gunfight when he suddenly vanished from the game, transferring viewership to another member in the squad. The streamer was hyped to see the immediate justice unfold before his eyes as his stream’s audience echoed the same emotion spamming “Justice” and emotes in his Twitch Chat. Apex Legends are banning players by the thousands Back in May, Respawn Entertainment revealed a staggering number of players that have been banned for hacking. While the Apex community still find more cheaters everyday, Respawn had at one point banned 770,000 players found to be hacking in the battle royale. Playing against cheaters is frustrating, but finding and reporting them could lead to some more epic justice like ShivFPS found in his game.

  • Apex Legends cheater banned and kicked mid-game after getting reported – Dexerto

Apex Legends cheater banned and kicked mid-game after getting reported EAAn Apex Legends cheater was taken down mid-game and removed from the match in just a matter of seconds after being reported by a player they’d eliminated. The reporting systems can be pretty hit or miss in video games, but when they work the way you want them to, there’s really no better feeling. Having the ability to watch a hacker get banned mid-match thanks to your report is almost as good as the sweet taste of winning the match. This situation played out perfectly in a match of Apex Legends after a cheater quickly mowed down a squad while snapping directly to them and lasering them with shots. Reddit user SgtKastoR stuck around after being killed to report this player and see how the rest of the match played out. Much to their delight, they were able to capture the moment in a clip when the player suddenly disappeared. We’ve seen situations like this happen in other battle royale titles like Fortnite, but seeing it occur time and time again really doesn’t get old. When the ban hits, you hear the announcer say “Champion Eliminated” which is just icing on the cake, even though the hacker wasn’t really the true champ. Pathfinder players are usually among the kindest in the game, but it turns out that you can’t trust all of them. The hacking situation on PC for Apex Legends has always been an issue but it looks like the reporting system is becoming a lot better as bans like this are becoming more commonplace. There’s obviously still work that needs to be done but it’s good to Respawn on the right path. With the first two weeks of Season 3 nearly in the books, Apex is clearly in a good spot right now with the new map and improved reporting system.

  • Apex Legends cheat sheet reveals stats for every gun in the game – Dexerto

Apex Legends cheat sheet reveals stats for every gun in the game EAApex Legends Season 2 brought numerous gun changes so you might be in need of this cheat sheet that reveals complete weapon stats for every weapon found in the game. There are several guns in Apex Legends and unlike Fortnite which features rarity tiers and basic names, Apex has actual names for the guns and that can be confusing for newer players. That’s where having a cheat sheet that has all of this laid out for you comes into play. Reddit user JetSetJamerson has us covered. Find out the stats of every gun This complete gun cheat sheet shows the damage output of every weapon, along with what it will do versus different armor and body parts. It’s an in-depth look at each gun that will help players easily decided what gun is worth their time and what guns aren’t. It is missing things like weapon DPS (damage per second) and TTK (time to kill) but you’ll still be able to tell what guns are better than what. Apex Legends has five different types of guns in the game and each type has three to four different guns. That means there are a lot of guns to learn so hopefully you’ll be able to soak it in quicker now. Keep in mind that this list is accurate as of Season 2 so it’s worth double-checking again if you think you know what all the guns do but haven’t played in a while. One thing that stands out from the list is the sheer power that Hop-Ups give to many of the guns. Take the Mozambique, for example, without the Hop-Up it isn’t that great but once you slap the Hammerpoint on, it more than doubles in damage in certain spots. Moreso than ever, Apex Legends relies on weapon attachments so keep your eyes peeled for them when you play.

  • Apex Legends cheat seller brags about being undetected – gets caught in game chat – Dexerto

Apex Legends cheat seller brags about being undetected – gets caught in game chat Respawn EntertainmentA cheat seller alerted Respawn Entertainment’s developer team after bragging in a game chat about not being “detected” for months. Apex, Warzone, and other first-person shooters such as Battlefield 2042 have been subject to a widespread attack on their games in recent months, due to the presence of hackers. While many have made the move to implement stronger anti-cheat mechanisms to ban offenders, even major studios like Infinity Ward – which is working on a second Modern Warfare 2 game releasing this year – admit the likelihood is that some cheaters will continue to creep into games. The pipeline of hackers is facilitated quite clearly by cheat-selling websites, and somebody connected with those activities has been identified in Apex Legends’ Singapore server. Apex Legends cheat seller exposed in-game chat On July 8, a Reddit post from sudoo69 said, “Anyone else encountering this type of teammates on Singapore server. I don’t know what they write but after spamming it 2-3 times they leave so I just assumed a social credit meme…” Translations show that the message they were posting was promoting the opportunity to join a group to buy cheats for the radar, ESP, and aimbot. In the message they said they had been undetected for over four months, seemingly advertising the low chance of being caught using what they were selling. In the comments, one member of the community said: “He is promoting cheat to potential customers.” Another responded, “It’s a hack promotion, better off reporting them.” A third player added, “Damn exactly the same player was in my team yesterday,” while playing on the Singapore server. Respawn is yet to respond to the thread on Reddit – but with these cheats being advertised in their game chat, it’s surely only a matter of time before the sellers are brought to justice.

  • Charge Rifle gets massive rework in Apex Legends Season 18: Full details – Dexerto

Charge Rifle gets massive rework in Apex Legends Season 18: Full details Respawn EntertainmentThe Charge Rifle will undergo a rework in Apex Legends Season 18. Here’s everything you need to know about the changes made to the weapon and how it will work from the new season onwards. Out of a huge arsenal of weapons featured in Apex Legends, the Charge Rifle has always been a controversial one. This hitscan weapon can be pretty deadly in the right hands and has gone through its fair share of buffs and nerfs in past seasons. However, with the arrival of Season 18, it’ll be completely reworked. Notably, the Charge Rifle will no longer be a hitscan weapon, and instead become projectile-based with bullet drop. Charge Rifle will have a higher skill ceiling starting Season 18 Starting Season 18, the Charge Rifle will be a projectile-based weapon involving bullet drop, similar to sniper rifles. It won’t be a hitscan anymore, and the laser that used to be visible before beaming will also be removed. Until now, the weapon released its beams automatically, and that also won’t be the case any longer. You need to charge it up by holding it down, and then firing on release. Mags have also been added with Season 18 and Ammo consumption is back to one per shot. Another interesting change is that the Charge Rifle will now deal more damage the farther away the target is. Don’t worry, you can still beam people at long range, but the skill ceiling has gone up as it is not hitscan anymore, so you’ll need to account for the distance. It needs to be seen how effective the Charge Rifle becomes, with these new changes in tow. However it could still prove to be one of the best guns in Apex Legends as the damage increases with distance. This rework arrives in the game with Season 18’s release on August 8, 2023.

  • How to use the Charge Rifle in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS – Dexerto

How to use the Charge Rifle in Apex Legends: Tips, damage stats & DPS Respawn EntertainmentThe Charge Rifle is an underappreciated Sniper in Apex Legends. If you usually skip over it for something that’s a bit easier to use, you might be interested in our guide — as it’s arguably the most powerful Sniper in the game aside from the Kraber. You heard us right. The Charge Rifle is incredibly good, but it requires a bit of practice. It doesn’t fire like most Snipers, given the big charge up, but if you can land your shots, you can pack a punch. It has a lot of features most other guns don’t. Here’s everything you need to know about the Charge Rifle, so you can use it effectively your next time on the Outlands. Apex Legends Charge Rifle damage stats The Charge Rifle is one of the hardest-hitting guns in the game. After all, it is a Sniper. However, there are a few benefits it holds over its rivals. The Charge Rifle does 100% damage to legs, and also hits like a truck when it does. Here’s the numbers you’ll need to know: With a fire rate of 30 RPM (0.5 shots per second), this gives the Charge Rifle a DPS of 28 for headshots and 22.5 for body shots, and that’s if you hit the final beam. This might seem low, but given it hits hard, you only need two or three shots to take an enemy down from anywhere. Best Charge Rifle attachments The Charge Rifle only has two sets of attachments: Optics and Stocks. You can equip almost every scope in the game on the Sniper however. Here’s a list of the eligible Optics: 1x Holo – 1x HCOG “Classic” – 2x HCOG “Bruiser” – 1x-2x Variable Holo – 6x Sniper – 3x HCOG “Ranger” – 2x-4x Variable AOG – 4x-8x Variable Sniper – 4x-10x Digital Sniper Threat – We recommend using as high scale a scope as possible, so the 4x-8x Variable and the 4x-10x Digital Threat are perfect. Read More: How to open Explosive Holds in Apex Legends – As for Sniper Stocks, just look for a Purple one. And remember, if it’s not on the ground, make sure to check it’s in the crafting rotation! Make use of the Charge Rifle’s hitscan The Charge Rifle is the only gun in Apex Legends that is “hitscan.” That means when you click, you’ll do damage on the spot immediately. While it takes a little bit for the full damage to come through, the initial ticks — three damage each to a max of 45 — can still be a game-changer. When you’re firing from long range, you should make use of this hitscan. It’ll be a test of your tracking, but it’s a lot easier than trying to judge bullet drop. It’s also entirely accurate while hip-firing too, although you’ll have to deal with some shaking before firing. Use the Charge Rifle to farm Evo Shields early While you can take the Charge Rifle with you the whole game, it’s most effective in the early game. Why? With its huge damage, if you can fortify a hold in the zone early in the game, you can farm damage for your Evo Shields using the Charge Rifle. By handing it to a mobile Legend like Octane, Wraith, or Loba, they can go and snipe enemies, get Red armor, drop it off with the rest of your teammates, and go on another expedition. This allows you to prep for late-game fights without risking too much. You’ll probably want to drop the Charge Rifle off for another gun in the late game — a care package drop, or maybe loot from an enemy death box. Once you get your Red Shields using it, you’ll be prepped to take on any squad and become the Champion. If you’re confident enough with the sniper and your tracking though, feel free to use it late into the game. Just make sure to swap sights to something a bit more close range, like a 2x or 3x HCOG. Hopefully, with these tips, you’ll be mastering the Charge Rifle in no time. For more Apex Legends guides and news, be sure to check out @TitanfallBlog on Twitter.

  • Apex Legends characters that need the biggest buffs in Season 9 – Dexerto

Apex Legends characters that need the biggest buffs in Season 9 Respawn EntertainmentSeason 9 of Apex Legends is now just around the corner, and while the talk will all be about the new Legend, there are a few existing characters that need some attention. Here are four Legends who really need some big improvements in the new season. Outside of Horizon, who’s possibly the best Legend in the game right now, a lot of the new post-launch Legends have typically underperformed to start with, before some buffs were later added to improve them. Despite this, there are a number of new Legends that are still not competitive enough, and if they’re not given some meaningful buffs, will be left even further behind as new characters arrive. All four of our picks for the most in-need are post-launch Legends, starting with Season 6’s perpetually underpowered Rampart. Rampart It will be no surprise whatsoever to see Rampart the first name on this list, and we’re sure she’s the first name on Respawn’s list too. The latest data Respawn have shared indicates that Rampart has the worst overall win rate. And it’s not just the data, players simply know that Rampart isn’t versatile enough in gameplay. It’s not that Rampart is useless – it’s that she’s useless in a lot of situations. If you can get set up in a strong position, and get Shiela and Amped Cover up, it’s a powerful combination. But with these situations so rare, Rampart needs some help to make her more viable, more often. Crypto Fans of Crypto will say that he’s one of the best Legends, once you ‘get good’ with him. While this may be true, it doesn’t change the fact that players are simply not going to pick a Legend that doesn’t have that instant satisfaction. It’s true that if you can work as a team, and carefully consider when to use Crypto’s abilities, it’s possible to gain a serious advantage over enemy squads. Extra information on enemy whereabouts is always a positive. But, the advantages really end there, and so some more functionality for the drone would be the perfect solution. One fan-made idea was to allow Crypto to see how many squads were in the area by checking banners around the arena, another good option. Respawn have said they want to do something with Crypto in the future, but aren’t certain yet what it will be. Fuse Released in Season 8, there were high-hopes for Fuse’s kit after seeing all the trailers. On paper, a big firebomb, constant grenades and a super-accurate arm launcher sounded like a deadly new character. Unfortunately, Fuse has slipped down into Rampart territory. With the second-worst overall win rate, Fuse clearly isn’t living up to the hype. Read More: Apex devs respond to Trident bugs – It’s hard to pin exactly why this is, as it’s still early stages, but we know that situational Legends with a lack of mobility (just like Rampart) always struggle in the meta. Fuse will definitely require some buffs, and Respawn have confirmed he will be getting a boost – but we don’t know what it is yet. Loba Finally, we have to mention Loba. The problem with Loba isn’t actually that her abilities aren’t strong, it’s that they don’t work. Specifically, Loba’s Tactical, Burglar’s Best Friend, is just far too buggy to be reliable. So really, all Loba needs is her tactical to work as intended, and she’ll instantly be a much more popular pick. Her ultimate, Black Market Boutique, is already very powerful, and the buff allowing infinite ammo to be looted is perfect. If the devs really want to make Loba even stronger, they could also reduce the animation time after using the teleport, allowing players to get gun-up faster. The good news is that the devs have confirmed their current fixes for Loba are a night and day difference. That’s the four Legends we’d love to see drastically improved in Season 9 – but everyone has their own favorite character they’d love to see improved. Respawn will be hard at work trying to perfect the balance for future seasons, so the Season 9 patch notes will be a very interesting read.

  • Which Apex Legends characters have the highest winrates? – Dexerto

Which Apex Legends characters have the highest winrates? Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends has been out for a few months and some of the game’s characters are racking up insane winrates, pulling away from the rest of the cast Respawn Entertainment released their battle royale on February 4, since then players have been experimenting with different Legends although some have definitely been more effective than others. According to statistical breakdowns from PlayApex.net, Legends are starting to cement themselves at the top of the winrate column which could give players some insight on forming the best squads. Which Legends have the lowest winrates? Looking from the bottom to the top, it seems that Caustic is still struggling in the game coming in at a lowly 10.3% winrate. There have been numerous examples of the World record holder Mendo lists 10 things he wants in Apex Legends next update Though there’s a leap between Gibraltar and Mirage, the two are still only pulling a winrate of 11% and 13.5%, respectively. Mirage’s kit is still struggling to be effective in a late-game scenarios, while Gibraltar has been suffering from his large hitbox. The middle of the pack Bloodhound comes in at sixth with a respectable 14.2% winrate. Players are starting to learn how to make optimal use of Bloodhound’s tracking abilities, so it will be interesting to see if that will lead to better winrates down the line. The largest spike in winrate comes with fifth ranked Bangalore, tallying a 17.4% winrate. When Apex Legends launched, Bangalore was the go-to offensive powerhouse and looks like players are only getting better with her. In a surprise ranking, the newest legend for the game Octane is making an early splash in the Apex servers. He narrowly topples Bangalore with a 17.5% winrate. Top of the heap The Legends with the top rates are stone throws away from each other, with the multifaceted Lifeline coming in at number three winning 18.3% of her games. Pathfinder is basically the mascot for Apex Legends at this point, and coming in at number two with a 19.1% winrate it’s easy to see why. A lot of players have been loving the robot’s high mobility to make incredible plays. This leaves Wraith alone at the top, hauling in an impressive 19.9% winrate. A lot of players have been choosing the Interdimensional Skirmisher for her ability to set up quick rotates with her ultimate or get out of a hot situation using Into the Void. Wraith certainly gives tons of advantages when setting up an engagement, which could be a major factor in her winning so many games. Some of the lower winrates come from Legends that are still finding their place in the battle royale. While it’s fascinating to see such a diverse spread in winrates, it’ll be interesting to see how they stack up once the game has more time to mature and evolve with future patches and more Legends. Apex Legends character Winrates* Wraith (19.9%) – Pathfinder (19.1%) – Lifeline (18.3%) – Octane (17.5%) – Bangalore (17.4%) – Bloodhound (14.2%) – Mirage (13.5%) – Gibraltar (11.0%) – Caustic (10.3%) – (*as of the time of writing)

Horizon – 126 (39 earth + 87 in space) Dr. Mary Somers spent 88 years in space. With the help of Dr. Reid (Ash), she discovered the key to limitless energy, Branthium. Horizon has gravity-based abilities she uses to fight. Her Gravity Lift tactical can lift anyone who steps on it into the air. She won’t have as much of a movement delay after big falls thanks to her Spacewalk Passive. Finally, her Black Hole Ultimate can pull nearby enemies and devices in, giving her the chance to take them down. Revenant – 359 (44 as human & 315 as simulacrum) This character used to be a human but is now a walking nightmare for the opponents in the arena. He is also responsible for killing Loba’s family when she was just nine years old! Revenant can hone in on nearby enemies with low health thanks to his Assassin’s Instinct Passive that will highlight any enemies with low health nearby. He can also climb walls quickly, and crouch walk faster than most Legends. Alter – Unknown The latest Legend to join the roster is Alter though her age is currently unknown in the game. Alter is a dimension-hopping trickster who uses interdimensional void tech in combat. She can create portals with her Void Passage ability that the entire squad can travel through. Her Ultimate, Void Nexus, lets her place a device down on the map that the team can transport back to at any point, which is great for getting out of dangerous situations. Youngest Apex Legend As indicated in the list above, the youngest character on the Apex Legends roster is Vantage. She joined the Apex Legends at such a young age so she could raise awareness about her mother’s wrongful imprisonment. She received the A-13 Sentry sniper rifle as a gift for her birthday and became extremely proficient with the weapon at a young age. Due to this, she’s got the ability to bring out her custom sniper “Sniper’s Mark” as her ultimate that helps to mark enemy targets and apply a damage bonus to the whole team during matches. She may be the youngest on the roster but she shouldn’t be overlooked in a fight. Oldest Apex Legend The oldest Legend in the game is Revenant at 359 years old. Revenant used to be a human known as Kaleb Cross, and the greatest hitmen in the Mercenary Syndicate. When his programming failed, however, the Syndicate and Hammond Robotics resurrected him as a simulacrum and kept reprogramming him to forget about it. His unique powers allow him to climb buildings, and use death protection means he can easily outplay other Legends. That’s everything you need to know about the ages of Apex Legends characters. • Apex Legends character Wattson leaked? Abilities, release date rumors and more – Dexerto

Apex Legends character Wattson leaked? Abilities, release date rumors and more Another upcoming Apex Legends character named Wattson has been leaked, and details regarding the new Legend have begun to appear ahead of its official release. Apex Legends fans will be aware that one new Legend has already been leaked, with plenty of information available about Octane, with many believing that the character will make an appearance in the game in the near future. However, alongside the leak of Octane, eagle-eyed players noticed a second Legend had been mentioned named Wattson, although unfortunately very little information about the character is available at the moment. Who is Wattson? While information has continued to leak out regarding Octane, data miners have been relatively quiet about Wattson, with almost nothing known about the character except for the fact that their powers seem to be focused on the use of electricity. The lightning bolt symbol on Wattson’s jacket in the leaked image was the first clue, plus the first of their abilities, which was also leaked. What are Wattson’s abilities? At time of writing, only one of Wattson’s abilities is known to the public. Many believe that the ability, named Tesla Coil, will act much in the same way as Caustic’s Toxic Trapper, by electrocuting players while they are caught inside the trap. A possible first look at the Tesla trap was found by data miner Shrugtal. What else do we know about Wattson? With leaks regarding Wattson thin on the ground, the only thing we know for sure is that the ‘callouts’ for the character have been added to the game’s files as first discovered by @ApexLeaksNews, however we still have no information regarding what the Legend looks like, or its finishing moves. When is Wattson going to be released? Unsurprisingly, there is no official release date for Wattson. Apex Legends Season One is set to kick off during March, with many expecting Octane to be released alongside the first season. With Wattson not believed to be scheduled to release until after Octane goes live, it’s likely that we will not see the character until April at the very earliest. Perhaps Respawn also plan to release a new Legend at the start of each Season, in which case Wattson might not arrive until June, with the launch of Season 2. This is an updating post and will be updated any time new information about Wattson is discovered prior to the in-game release of the Legend.

  • Unique Apex Legends character design introduces another deadly bot into King’s Canyon – Dexerto

Unique Apex Legends character design introduces another deadly bot into King’s Canyon The Apex Legends fans have been creating incredible designs for possible new characters to introduce to the game, and a new robotic concept could be the best to come out of the community so far. Respawn Entertainment released their battle royale with a tightly knit ensemble consisting of eight Legends while adding a ninth, Octane, when Season 1 released on March 19. In a Reddit post, user ‘designty’ put together basically a complete look for a Legend that they think would be a great compliment to the game’s cast. The redditor named their Legend the Self-Automated Mercenary and Militant Intervention robot, or S.A.M.M.I. for short. The Legend would make them the second fully robotic character in the battle royale along with Pathfinder, but this design was geared for more offense than the Support robot currently in the game. S.A.M.M.I. comes equipped with a kit that makes the bot super mobile with a kit that could make him a terror in chaotic battlefields. Their passive is called Arc Sword which increases the damage and range of S.A.M.M.I.’s melee hit. When S.A.M.M.I.’s ultimate is charged, the passive also gives them a 20% chance of applying a slow to the enemy on hit. The kit includes a tactical ability called Dash Pack that simply lets S.A.M.M.I. dash in any direction using a jetpack. The pack can hold up to three charges at once, but there would be a 10 second cooldown between dashes. The Legends’ ultimate is where S.A.M.M.I can really disrupt a battle. Named Arc Cloud, the robot can unleash a “large plume of electric smoke” that damages enemies that get in the “immediate vicinity” of the machine. The effect would only last for 10 seconds. But with a well planned out gap between dashes, that time could let S.A.M.M.I. charge into the middle of the team get loads of damage off and dash out to safety. The concept was likened to Titanfall 2’s Ronin, but that wasn’t a problem for many fans who would still want to see a character like this in the game. Though designty said the art for S.A.M.M.I. came out of an existing Titanfall mobile game character, it still painted a great picture for their design. Respawn has long term plans for their game, and if they ever take a closer look at those created by their community, S.A.M.M.I. should definitely be a top choice.

  • Apex Legends character idea would be the ultimate Support Legend – Dexerto

Apex Legends character idea would be the ultimate Support Legend EAAn Apex Legends player has created the ultimate support character that would perfectly rival the likes of Lifeline and Wattson. The likes of Wraith, Pathfinder and Gibraltar often find themselves as the star of the show in the Apex Games. Whether you’re grappling your way behind enemy lines with Pathy or taking on an enemy team head-on with Gibby, these three Legends are considered to be in a league of their own. With that said, the big hitters wouldn’t be able to make their flashy plays if it wasn’t for the support of Legends such as Lifeline and Wattson. But that’s just about where it ends. Aside from Lifeline and Wattson, there is a distinct lack of supportive Legends roaming the servers — and that’s where this character concept would slot straight in. All of the Legend’s abilities revolve around supporting their allies in combat. Let’s take a look at each of the character’s abilities. Starting off with their ‘Health Burst’ Tactical, the Legend would possess the means to heal nearby teammates within a specific radius, which would prove indispensable towards the endgame circle, when nearby loot is scarce. The ‘Phoenix’ Passive doubles down on Lifeline’s Combat Medic Passive, by reviving a teammate with full shields… After all, there’s nothing worse than being revived, only to be downed again immediately after since your health is so low! Although, it’s the Ultimate where this character comes into their own. Last Stand would warrant all nearby allies (approximately the radius of Wattson’s Interception Pylon) a safety net of health for 20 seconds. This would be especially useful when you find yourself stuck between two enemy squads as it would ensure that you don’t get ‘third-partied’ again! To balance it out, anyone experiencing the effects of Last Stand wouldn’t be able to use healing items. While, yes, there is scope for fine-tuning the Ultimate (such as how it would work with Octane’s auto-health regeneration), it would certainly fit into the current meta well. Of course, as with any concept, there would be a few creases to iron out, but the foundations of the character would be the perfect addition to an otherwise scarce roster of support characters.

  • Apex Legends character concept to counter Revenant in Season 4 – Dexerto

Apex Legends character concept to counter Revenant in Season 4 DudeWithName (Reddit) / EAThis Apex Legends character concept might just be the perfect way to counter the Synthetic Nightmare on World’s Edge in Season 4. Assimilation has added a gripping narrative to the Apex Legends’ saga. With Loba poised to enter the Apex Games in a bid to avenge her parents’ death, it’s only a matter of time before Hammond Robotics’ simulacrum runs into trouble. However, with a date on Loba’s entrance into Respawn’s flagship battle royale still a mystery, one savvy Reddit user has drafted the perfect Apex Legends concept to thwart Revenant’s grand plan. Posted to the Apex Legends subreddit, user ‘DudeWithName’ has forged ‘Sigrún’ – a Combative Bulwark – complete with backstory that slots perfectly into Titanfall lore. Real name, Sylvi Helvig, the former Militia officer is based on Troy — a planet on The Frontier from the Titanfall universe. Alongside a lengthy plot that expands on her time in the Militia, Sylvi comes with a full set of abilities. Sigrún’s abilities Passive — Ironclad Breacher: Kicking doors breaks them instantly and running into a door crashes them open while weakening them. Tactical — Tether Mines: Mines that shoot out a tether line to lockdown enemies. Ultimate — Amped Particle Wall: Throw out a device that emits a ‘particle wall’ that rejects incoming shots from any weapon. It also amps outgoing shots (by 1.15 times) to deal more damage. Specifically, Sigrún’s Ultimate ability provides 20 seconds of cover and amped damage for the Legend and her teammates. The only way to combat the shield would be to flank or shoot the projector emitting the forcefield from the ground. The Combative Bulwark’s Amped Particle Wall could counter Revenant’s ‘Death Totem’ Ultimate ability by dishing out more damage while absorbing the oncoming attack from an enemy squad. Of course, with Loba’s entrance into the Apex Legends’ universe seemingly a matter of not if, but when, the Sigrún Legend concept would have to take the back burner. Respawn might have one eye on these fan concepts for future ideas though.

  • Apex Legends character concept would make looting up for the final circle much easier – Dexerto

Apex Legends character concept would make looting up for the final circle much easier Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends community is quickly becoming one of the most creative groups in gaming by designing characters who would seamlessly fit into the game’s roster like this unique loot specialist. Respawn Entertainment launched their battle royale on February 4 and featured a cast of unique Legends who bring their own twists to a firefight. Whether it’s the hyper aggressive Bangalore or the support medic Lifeline, every character brings a varying set of skills and advantages to improve a squad’s chance of coming out on top in Kings Canyon. Finding good loot can be hard in the late-game, but not with this Legend. Find the best loot and vault it for later in the game Since content drops have been few and far between, Apex players like Reddit user ‘designty’ have been developing characters decked out with abilities and passives that introduce new ways of approaching the game. In a May 30 post, designty put together a different kind of support Legend called that would add another bot to the roster if it ever made it into the game. Their Legend is named “Monger” and is a green hooded robot who specializes in keeping itself and their team looted up when the RNG isn’t in their favor throughout various stages in the game. Monger would make sure teammates have enough loot for the latter stages of the game.600 Monger’s passive is Master Key which lets it access “special randomly places loot crates that only Monger can open,” similar to Pathfinders Insider Knowledge in that only it can access survey beacons. The legend has a tactical ability called Deposit where Monger can “store” items in their Loot Vault which can hold up to 10 stackable slots. This is aside from its active backpack slots, since the stored items can only be accessed via its ultimate. Speaking of, Monger’s ultimate places its Loot Vault for their team to explore. A bit of caution would have to be used before dropping the Vault since anyone can rummage around in there, but will disappear after 30 seconds. Season 2 Battle Pass is bringing tons of new content Incredible character concepts like designty’s might have to hold until later since Respawn Enntertainment is getting ready to feed its fans a huge helping of content and features. Respawn is bringing new content in the coming weeks.600 The Apex developers announced a new in-game event featuring an Apex Elite Queue while also bringing new skins as rewards for completing limited-time challenges. It’s a good time to be an Apex Legends fan as it looks like the devs are going to start pumping content in their electrifying battle royale.

  • Apex Legends character concept already looks game-ready – Dexerto

Apex Legends character concept already looks game-ready Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has come up with an incredible concept for a new character and it looks like it would be a perfect addition to Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale title. There are currently 12 characters taking part in the Apex Games – known as legends – with the most recent addition, Revenant, already making a good impression on players. With that being said, over time Respawn will no doubt add countless more faces to their game, and this concept – named Bishop – could be exactly what they’re looking for. Posted to Reddit by a user called DudeWithName, Bishop is also dubbed ‘The War Monger’ so, as you could imagine, it seems a pretty lethal opponent to come up against. Bishop’s Passive and Tactical concept abilities are based on verticality. His Passive, called Hover Kit, allows him to hover and fall slower, adding some extra dimensions to the standard character movement. His Tactical, Thrust Mod, boosts him vertically into the air again expanding his movement mechanics. His Ultimate ability, though, is where the real power is. The Salvo Barrage fires a swarm of guided missiles where the player is aiming, with missiles dealing more damage based on the distance they travel. While just the idea itself sounds impressive, DudeWithName has thought out the exact damage dealt, cooldown times and more to make sure that Bishop is a well-balanced legend that could slide straight into the game’s existing meta without too much tweaking. Read More: How to wall run in Apex Legends – Not only that, but Bishop has an entire design and lore supporting him, proving that DudeWithName has made sure this Legend is literally game-ready. The lore gives Bishop a valid reason for his joining the fight, with a love lost in battle years previously, and even ties him in with an existing figure, Crypto, who feeds him enough information to convince him to join the Apex Games. Although we may never see Bishop in-game, the idea of such a well thought out legend joining the likes of Wraith, Bangalore and Wattson is an exciting one – especially to see how he is integrated. Though, if the feedback DudeWithName received is anything to go by, Respawn might want to give something like Bishop some serious consideration when it comes to picking another character to add.

  • Apex Legends Chaos Theory update patch notes: Legend buffs and nerfs – Dexerto

Apex Legends Chaos Theory update patch notes: Legend buffs and nerfs Respawn EntertainmentThe Chaos Theory event makes some big gameplay changes, in addition to the new content in the collection event. Check out the full patch notes for all the changes to Legends, weapons and more coming on March 9. Caustic’s Town Takeover, Bangalore’s Heirloom, and a bunch of new skins are the main highlights of the Chaos Theory collection event, but Respawn have made a lot of tweaks to Legends and weapons too. At the top of the list we have nerfs to the Mastiff, which had definitely become a bit strong in recent seasons. There’s also nerfs to Caustic, and some improvements to some of the weaker Legends. No Fill Matchmaking is also being introduced. No Fill in Apex Legends No fill will allow you to queue up for a match without teammates joining you. Although it’s not quite a solo experience, it will achieve a similar goal of allowing you to play without worrying about random teammates. You can read more about how it works exactly here. For full details on the Town Takeover, the new Ring Fury mode, and the event skins and rewards, check out our full Chaos Theory event hub. Check out the full patch notes from Respawn below. LEGEND UPDATES Caustic Nox Gas Grenade cooldown increased from 2.5 minutes to 3.5 minutes. – Nox Gas damages at a flat rate of 5hp per tick instead of ramping up from 6hp → 12hp. – Caustic is brutally effective at slowing down engagements. The entirety of his kit revolves around gas with a large area of effect, slow, vision obstruction, and direct health damage. It’s proven to be too oppressive in too many scenarios especially considering teammates can play in gas relatively unimpaired. Significantly reducing gas damage (without taking it away completely or having it affect armor instead) seems like a fair compromise that stays true to the character while making him less oppressive on the receiving end. We will be monitoring the data and gameplay closely. If these changes hit Caustic’s appeal or effectiveness too hard we will revisit accordingly. Pathfinder Removed Low Profile – Low Profile has been used as a balancing tool for both mobile and/or small legends. Although Path is still mobile, his hitbox is large. While his overall win rate and encounter win rate is by no means low, it’s hard to justify keeping Low Profile on a hitbox of his size. Gibraltar Removed 15% faster heal item usage while in Dome of Protection. – Horizon Increased Black Hole cooldown from 2 minutes to 3 minutes – Revenant Revenant’s Silence now disables Mirage’s cloaked revive & respawn as well as Octane’s Swift Mend. – Wattson Wattson now has passive shield regen at 0.5 hp/s (half of Octane’s current health regen rate). – Rampart Explosives damage Amped Cover normally, instead of inflicting 200 damage. – Explosives damage Sheila normally, instead of inflicting 175 damage. – Walls should be beefy and powerful once built. Before Rampart shipped, we were worried that her nests would be too oppressive and so we gave enemy players the option to quickly clear them out with grenades. This wasn’t necessary, as it turns out, so we’re removing increased damage from grenades against Amped Cover and Sheila. WEAPON UPDATE Weapon Optics All gold AR and LMG default optics updated to 2x Bruiser. – Mastiff Pellet damage decreased from 13 → 11. Fire rate increased from 1.0 → 1.1. – The goal of these changes are to place this weapon’s identity between the fast fire EVA-8 and the heavy hitting Peacekeeper. The Mastiff has consistently been dominant in close quarters combat given its forgiving spread pattern and high damage spikes with each shot. This change reduces that high damage potential in order to limit the amount of two pumps players experience on the receiving end. Wingman +1 bullet to every magazine size, including base. – Hemlok Increased hip-fire spread. – The burst damage from the Hemlok’s hip-fire was feeling a little too consistent for an AR that should excel at medium range. This change mitigates the Hemlok’s close quarters damage spikes that felt bad on the receiving end. QUALITY OF LIFE CHANGES Kings Canyon Loot – we’ve done a pass on the loot to bring up the quality across the map, while also maintaining a certain amount of loot after Mirage Voyage has flown away. The wooden shacks across the map should have a few more pieces each, and generally be a little higher quality. – Spotted Lake has been reduced to Medium Quality from High. – Crash Site has redistributed the loot in the area slightly. The amount stays the same, but the higher quality loot should be in the ship. – Caustic Treatment has more loot than Water Treatment, and it remains Hiqh Quality. – – Locked Weapon Optic Swapping – For guns with fully locked attachment slots, like fully-kitted gold weapons and most crate weapons, you can now remove the optic and replace it with a different sight. This does not apply to the Kraber sniper rifle. – Assists have been added to the in-game HUD, next to kills. This was already present in Ranked and now has been added to unranked. Assists still don’t contribute to XP. This has replaced the Spectator “eye” icon. – Assists and Knocks have been added to your squad’s banners and will show at the end of a match. – Club names now appear on Match Summary and Champion screen if all players are part of the same club. – Items will no longer “stick” to Crafting Replicator when dropped on the Replicator. – Badge Progress – for badges that have longer amounts of progress, hovering over the badge will show you more information. For example, if you’re trying to get 50 wins as Lifeline, you’ll now see that you have 45 instead of somewhere between 15 and 50. – Ping My Deathbox – While respawning on a dropship, you can now ping your own deathbox to help locate it easier. – Gold Backpack – Players being revived by a gold backpack will have a crackle of energy—based on the tier of armor they wear—while the revive is taking place. They will also display the armor heal FX when the revive is finished. This change should help players prioritize pushing a revive in progress. – Players on PC can now go back to the title screen from the lobby to allow switching of data centers without restarting the game. – Added numbers to the Advanced Look Controls. This should help people experiment and easily revert back to their favorite settings. – When scanning a beacon for Ring 6, you should now be able to see the location where Ring 6 finishes. – Inspect Weapon – Since the Survival Slot took its button on controller (we only have so many buttons!), Inspect Weapon has been moved to the emote wheel by default. It can be bound to any key on PC. – BUG FIXES Gibraltar Corrected an issue with Gibraltar not getting hit registrations when simultaneously releasing ADS and shooting while his Gun Shield was up – Wraith Wraith players can no longer cancel Into the Void by jumping at a wall – The New Skydive Emote will now work with Legendary Skins – Caustic Fixed a bug that was causing Nox Gas to flicker for some players affected by it – Octane Repeatedly using the same jump pad no longer disables double-jumps – Players are no longer allowed to “glide” along a wall after using the jump pad – Crypto Crypto’s animation to bring out his Drone is no longer skippable by throwing a holospray – Crypto can no longer teleport to a replicator – Reloading the Mastiff and 30-30 will no longer be faster while in Crypto’s drone – Loba Fixed a few areas Loba could teleport into that would get her stuck – Rampart Players can no longer use Sheila to get under the world when placed too close to the Phase Runner in Olympus – Horizon Fixed the Gravity Lift falling through the floor when used on the train tracks in World’s Edge’s Sorting Factory – Using a zipline after a Gravity Lift will no longer increase accuracy – Fuse Motherload will now damage and destroy jump pads – When under a small enclosure, players will no longer be pushed out after using Motherload – Players can no longer double their grenades after looting a dead Fuse’s deathbox – Mastiff Dropping and picking up the Mastiff will no longer cause it to be reloaded – 3030 Repeater Dropping and picking up the 30-30 will no longer cause it to be reloaded – 30-30 will now have spread deviation when ADS firing and jumping – MISC Fixed a bug preventing Steam users from sending friend requests to each other – Usernames now update when a user swaps between the Origin Client to the Steam Client – Fixed a bug preventing players from creating or joining clubs due to their EA Account already being associated with another platform – That’s all for now. See you in the Arena, Legends. That’s all the patch notes for the meta changes, quality of life, and bug fixes coming in the Chaos Theory update on March 9. • Apex Legends Chaos Theory event: Caustic Town Takeover, Bangalore heirloom – Dexerto

Apex Legends Chaos Theory event: Caustic Town Takeover, Bangalore heirloom Respawn EntertainmentThe Chaos Theory Collection event starts in Apex Legends on March 9 or March 10, depending on where you are. Here’s everything we know about the event so far, including Bangalore’s Heirloom, the Caustic Town Takeover, and lots of new skins. Chaos Theory event update time The event starts on March 9, the same day as the Switch release for Apex Legends. The release time for the update is 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 6PM GMT. The Nintendo Switch release will launch later in the evening of March 9, PT time, meaning it will be morning of March 10 for players in Europ and Asia. The event ends on March 23, 2021, so you have plenty of time to get in on all the latest action. There’s lots of permanent Legend and Weapon changes in the patch notes too. Here’s everything that’s coming in the Chaos Theory Collection event. Caustic Town Takeover This noxious Legend has taken over the Water Treatment plant on Kings Canyon, forcing players into a deadly experiment. The task requires “test subjects” to drain the toxic liquid from the center of the Caustic Treatment facility. Doing this temporarily grants players access to four gold loot items locked in cages. The toxic gasses have caused the Mirage Voyage to set sail to cleaner pastures, so you can expect the party boat to show up in a future update. Ring Fury Escalation Takeover Ring Fury is the latest playlist takeover and while it follows the regular BR rules, it does comes with a unique twist. Each round one or more Ring Flares will appear on the map within the current ring. Respawn states that Ring Flares are “slowly expanding pockets of the Ring within the Arena.” If you happen to get caught within the Ring Flare, then you’ll take damage equal to the current round’s Ring. Fortunately, Ring Flare warning will appear on the map, so you and your squad will be able to navigate around them or use them to your advantage. New Heat Shield item The new Heat Shield is the latest item to hit Apex Legends and it is only available to use within the new Ring Fury Escalation Takeover. This lifesaving item can be thrown down to avoid damage from Ring Flares or from the ring itself. Every player starts the game with one Heat Shield, but there are plenty more scattered around the map. Heat Shields look and act like Gibraltar’s dome as they cast a protective barrier around your squad, enabling you to loot, revive, and make plays outside of the ring. To make matters even better, those taking shelter inside the shield will use healing items 50% faster, while the speed of revives is increased by 25%. However, this bonus is only given by Heat Shields that have been activated by the ring. After the Ring Fury Escalation Takeover concludes, the Heat Shield will remain in the game as general ground loot. New Survival Inventory slot Unlike other items and consumables in Apex Legends, the Heat Shield doesn’t take up any of your normal inventory slot. Instead, it resides in its very own slot called the “Survival Slot”. The Survival Slot aims to eliminate the choice between normal loot and situational utilities like a Mobile Respawn Beacon or a Heat Shield. This should open up a lot more opportunities for potential items in the future. This new inventory slot will also be available in the game even after the Ring Fury Escalation Takeover ends. Escalation Takeovers Ring Fury will be replacing regular Duos and Trios playlists for the two-week duration of the Collection Event. However, every few days during the event, Respawn is going to adjust the prevalence, timing, and size of Ring Flares. There will be a total of five different stages of escalation, so you’ll need to take extra care during the later stages of the event. Chaos Theory Collection event skins and rewards Chaos Theory event skins 😍 pic.twitter.com/4jyZNDd2Ny — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) March 4, 2021 There are a whole bunch of rewards to collect in Apex Legends new event. As usual, the Chaos Theory Collection Event brings a rewards track with all-new earnable cosmetics, this time including legendary Kraber and EVA-8 weapon skins. You can earn up 1,000 points per day via the daily challenges. There are also stretch challenges that reward four unique badges if you complete them during the event. The event challenges also stack with the Battle Pass, meaning you can tick off a lot of them all at once. Chaos Theory Reward track The Chaos Theory event introduces 24 warriors of the Frontier-inspired cosmetics, with each Legend donning fierce new looks. All of these cosmetics are time-limited to the event, so you’ll need to add them to your account before the event ends on March 23rd, 2021. All 24 items will be available through direct purchase (for Apex Coins or Crafting Metals) and in Event Apex Packs for the entire duration of the event. If you collect all 24 event items, you’ll unlock the Bangalore Heirloom set. Bangalore Heirloom Bangalore was originally the only launch Legend who hadn’t received an heirloom yet, but the new event has changed that. The battle-hardened soldier now has her very own Pilot’s knife, which can be claimed if you collect all 24 event items. After the event ends, the Bangalore Heirloom will become available via heirloom crafting. BREAKING: First look at Bangalore’s Heirloom in #ApexLegends. pic.twitter.com/KX3ovcOCK0 — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) March 4, 2021 Respawn also gave insights on how the Collection Event will work: First, the crafting costs for the skins are returning to their regular pricing now that the Anniversary Collection Event has ended. – Second, each Event Pack will come with one event item and two non-event items at the following drop rates: – No-Fill Matchmaking No-Fill Matchmaking is finally being added to Apex Legends, giving solo players a new way to queue up for games. In the lobby, you’ll now see a checkbox entitled “Fill Matchmaking”. Unchecking this box and clicking Play will send your party into your selected playlist without filling your team with other players. You might want to use the No-Fill Matchmaking for the following: Focus on completing certain Daily and Weekly challenges. – Warm-up, drop hot, and get into lots of fights. – Explore the map and experiment with characters you haven’t tried before. – Take an opportunity to learn a bit more about the game at your own pace. – For more Apex Legends Season 8 tips and tricks check out our guides below: 30-30 Repeater guide | All legend buffs and nerfs | All weapon buffs and nerfs | Fuse guide | What is in the Season 8 battle pass? | Season 8 Patch notes | How to open explosive holds | Spitfire guide | R99 guide | Mastiff guide | When is Apex for Switch out?

  • Apex Legends changing name of Inauguration Ship to avoid confusion – Dexerto

Apex Legends changing name of Inauguration Ship to avoid confusion Respawn Entertainment/EAA Respawn Entertainment developer has confirmed that, with the next Apex Legends update releasing during the week of January 17, the name of the Inauguration Ship Season 8 teaser will be changed in order to avoid confusion surrounding the upcoming United States Presidential Inauguration. With Season 8 of Apex Legends quickly approaching, teasers for it have been starting to crop-up in-game, with one of the most interesting being the Inauguration Ship seen floating above the map. The name, however, has nothing to do with the upcoming US Presidential Inauguration, which is occurring on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 – so in order to avoid confusion with that major event, the developers have decided to change the name of it to the Ceremony Ship. Hmm, what’s this then? pic.twitter.com/D8ijSC7a6w — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) January 15, 2021 According to Ryan Rigney, the director of communications over at Respawn Entertainment, the decision was made to avoid people thinking that the developers were “doing commentary about current events,” and considering how close we are to the actual inauguration, it makes sense. Rigney added that they didn’t initially mean to cause confusion and that the name “Inauguration Ship” was something that they had picked out a while ago and it just happened to line up with current events. “Better safe than sorry,” he tweeted. https://twitter.com/RKRigney/status/1350250432292118528 In terms of what will actually be edited in-game, Rigney confirmed that the change won’t be too significant, stating that he believes the only thing of note will be a text file that appeared when pinging the ship in-game. Of course, the name change means that any new pieces of lore in Apex will refer to the ship with the appropriate title as well. Right now, the Ceremony Ship is one of the most notable hints for Season 8 occurring in-game, aside from the new abilities teasers that have been found, which belong to the upcoming Legend named Fuse. It’ll be interesting to see if anything else comes out of the ship before the new season’s start in early February.

  • Apex Legends is changing how kills & deaths work for ranked quitters – Dexerto

Apex Legends is changing how kills & deaths work for ranked quitters Respawn EntertainmentRespawn is changing how Apex Legends kills, assists, and deaths work for early lobby quitters after three years of player demands, with ambitions to ship the change in the battle royale’s Season 12 update. The Apex Legends developers are constantly looking for ways to improve their flagship battle royale, especially when it comes to the game’s ranked lobbies. This season, Escape, the devs have taken the needle to Kill Points and Ranked Points, which sit at the core of their competitive ladders. Starting from the November 2 update, Apex Legends players will no longer have to score high kills to max out RP gains and rake in meaningful progress. The devs have more plans to improve the system too, and have another big issue in their targets — as Season 12 arrives on the horizon, Respawn reveals they’re looking into changing how rage quitting will affect kills, assists, and deaths. For the battle royale’s first ten seasons, quitting an Apex Legends lobby after you’ve been downed by not yet killed would mean you aren’t marked as “dead.” That would mean two things. One, it would save players getting a death marked on their service records, keeping their KDAs high. It would also deny kills and assists to the players that had beaten them, meaning if an opponent disconnected before you could finish them off, you were denied Ranked Points. This issue has been a major sticking point for years. All that should be in the past by the time Season 12 rolls around, however, Apex tech designer ‘Exgeniar’ told players on Reddit on November 2. Starting from the next season, these downs will still count as kills and deaths. Respawn Exgeniar confirmed: “I have a change [in the works] that makes quitting Apex Legends lobbies count as a death [and] kill or assist next season.” They revealed Respawn has also been considering another change too: adding in more Ranked Points for any “knocks” players may pull off before they die. The Apex Legends developers have major concerns around how that slight change would work if added into the current system though, especially relating to the fact that points would then be obtainable post-death. “The RP system with that implemented would encourage degenerative cases,” Exgeniar explained, “which we would need to solve [to] consider that.”

  • Apex Legends challenge bug completely stops you playing the game – Dexerto

Apex Legends challenge bug completely stops you playing the game Respawn EntertainmentCompleting Apex Legends daily challenges should unlock rewards and allow for progression, but some players have reported that it can spark a “game logic” error that totally stops them from playing. Respawn Entertainment’s popular battle royale title has had millions of players jump into it since its shock release back in February 2019, with a number of bugs – as you would expect – cropping up after major updates. Following the Season 4 patch, though, players appear to have found a slightly more confusing bug than most. Instead of being rewarded for completing daily challenges, some accounts are actually being locked out of the battle royale altogether. For those who don’t know already, daily challenges are ready to complete in Apex Legends every day, with players often having to pick up eliminations at different places across the World’s Edge map in order to check them off. It has been reported, though, that completing the daily missions close to the time that Respawn switches up the challenges can actually prevent the game from working as it should – with some players being hit with an error screen. As seen in a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, from ROYALAYOR, the bug is causing the progression screen to look blank, not containing the information you would expect. This user experienced the problem on Xbox One, although other posters have suggested that this is a more widespread problem for the game. Players on PlayStation 4 and PC have also experienced the bugged challenges, with one user sharing a potential fix for those playing on one platform. It’s unclear as to whether this works on console just yet. Mobstarr said: “It’s happening when you finish a daily while dailys get reset. For me a client restart helped and I was able to play again on PC.” The likelihood of Respawn Entertainment picking this up on the subreddit is high, meaning a future fix should be on the way, although at the time of writing there is no mention of the bug on their Apex Tracker Trello board for future updates. That could change, though, and many fans will be hoping it does. Challenges had previously not been tracking correctly, which features on the dev’s board, but there’s no mention of this specific error just yet. At the moment, some can’t even play the game.

  • Apex Legends players frustrated over “cheats” used to enhance movement – Dexerto

Apex Legends players frustrated over “cheats” used to enhance movement Electronic ArtsApex Legends players continue to express frustration at the number of users who exploit CFG files as “cheats” to enhance movement. Config files, or CFGs, let players modify game settings beyond what’s available in-game. Editing such files has various uses, one being that players can fix bugs that even developers haven’t addressed. But this level of customization, which has existed for decades, is considered cheating by some, especially in competitive spaces. For instance, Apex Legends players may use certain configs to make super glides far easier to pull off. As things currently stand, though, Respawn seems to be in no hurry to label such customization as cheating. Players who face off against opponents who use CFGs remain as frustrated as ever when insanely fast-moving Legends join a match. Apex Legends fans wonder why CFG files aren’t bannable offenses Reddit user lifeisbadclothing presented the following question to the Apex community in a recent thread: “Will Respawn ever do anything about the ridiculous amount of players using cfg’s to move like this?” What accompanies the post is an 11-second clip of the Redditor trying to hit an Octane bouncing around at dizzying speeds. It’s tough to watch and likely far more difficult to play against in an already fast-paced shooter. As to why Respawn hasn’t tackled the issue as of yet, one Redditor said: “They don’t know how to do anything about it. So it stays.” But others believe it “Would be incredibly easy to write a script that detects for repetitive input timings and insert [it] into an anti-cheat.” Meanwhile, there are those who think some uses for CFG files in Apex Legends are simply “cringe.” Wrote one person, “I respect it if you’re inputting movement techs manually but if you’re just pressing the ‘whee spin around’ button it’s cringe.” Clearly, this is one problem that may not be solved anytime in the near future.

  • Apex Legends: How to make Caustic’s gas more deadly using a Thermite Grenade – Dexerto

Apex Legends: How to make Caustic’s gas more deadly using a Thermite Grenade Apex Legends players continue to find incredible uses for items and abilities, and a new trick makes Caustic’s gas far deadlier with a simple grenade. While Apex Legends fans have been enjoying characters like Wraith and Bangalore, Caustic goes largely ignored for his underwhelming kit. But one creative player found a new way to bump up Caustic’s use. Reddit user ‘Junkertown’ implored other Caustic players to carry Thermite Grenades with them to severely punish players that push through the Toxic Trapper’s poisonous gas. Junkertown suggested to throw a Thermite into the gas if an enemy is pushing. This way the damage from both the burn and the gas stack, forcing the player into an awkward spot. “Players aren’t usually scared of your gas, so if they push you through the gas, throw a Thermite Grenade at the center or edge of the gas,” Junkertown said. “They are slowed, so if they see the fire they either walk back taking more damage OR continue the push and take extra damage from the Thermite Grenade!” The trick deviously combines two underwhelming elements of the game to create a singular terrifying effect if done properly. Similarly, Reddit user ‘Itz_Stryker’ suggested to use the Thermite Grenade with Gibraltar’s Dome of Protection to get a few more units of distance between an attacking player. Further, it can also be used with Wraith’s portals by dropping a Thermite at the exit to punish enemies in pursuit. If done correctly, the Thermite Grenade trick would make any player think twice before underestimating a Caustic player’s gas abilities.

  • Apex Legends Caustic Prestige skin leaked for Season 16 – Dexerto

Apex Legends Caustic Prestige skin leaked for Season 16 Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends leak has revealed an upcoming Prestige skin for Caustic that will likely be added in an upcoming Collection Event. Apex Legends Season 16 is well underway and players are loving all the new additions that were added with the major update. Whether it’s the Nemesis AR, upgraded Firing Range, or revamped Legend classes, Respawn has knocked it out of the park with Revelry. Despite this, as always, the community’s attention has shifted to upcoming content and what the devs have planned for the future. Well, thanks to a reliable leaker, we now know that Caustic will be receiving a Prestige skin, and we’ve even been given a glimpse of what it will look like. First look at Caustic Heirloom skin in Apex Legends Thanks to Apex Legends YouTuber and reliable leaker Thordan Smash, we now know that Respawn has been working on a new Prestige skin. The chosen candidate for the mythic cosmetic is Caustic and the collectible will likely be available in an upcoming Collection Event in Season 16. With a black and neon green color scheme, Thordan has given us a glimpse of the Tier 2 version of the skin. However, this isn’t the official design and has been recreated by @cadaver_x based on the information from the files. While this isn’t exactly what the skin will look like, it’s likely to extremely similar. Although we don’t have images of the Tier 1 and Tier 3 versions, Thordan does share a few details. These include that Tier 1 has an open face guard and that Tier 3 is extremely large compared to the other two designs. As expected, this Caustic Prestige skin will have a unique finisher just like the Bloodhound, Bangalore, and Wraith cosmetics. Keep in mind, to unlock all three tiers of the skin, you’ll have to rack up damage in-game which will give you access to each form. Remember, the skin doesn’t evolve in a match, it has to be selected in the cosmetic section.

  • Apex Legends Caustic nerfs won’t be as bad as feared after HP discovery – Dexerto

Apex Legends Caustic nerfs won’t be as bad as feared after HP discovery Respawn EntertainmentOne of the biggest worries of players headed into Apex Legends Season 12 won’t be as bad as first thought, after a major discovery about Caustic’s Gas Traps made during early access play. Before Season 12 officially begins for everyone else, select streamers and content creators got to dive in early. In addition to checking out the new legend Mad Maggie, they’ve also made a very interesting discovery about the changes coming to Caustic’s traps. When it was first announced that the Nox Gas Traps would now be destructible, a lot of players feared it would spell the end of Caustic as a viable legend. However, footage from the Season 12 early access shows they won’t be easy to take out. Caustic Gas Traps: stronger than first thought When the changes were first announced, the big fear among players was the traps would be able to be destroyed with one shot. However, now that we’ve seen the changes to season 12 in action, we know this isn’t the case. Caustic’s traps will actually have around 150 health, which will make them pretty annoying to destroy. Read More: Apex Legends lead map designers leave Respawn after releasing World’s Edge, Olympus, Storm Point – To put this in perspective, Wattson’s Pylon also has 150 health, and that’s her ultimate ability. Her fences only have 25 each, and are still pretty annoying to take out as well. The Nox Gas Traps are Caustic’s Tactical, so he can throw one down every 20 seconds. Even with a grenade, clearing them out from a room or POI won’t be as easy as previously feared. All of this means that the concerns about Caustic no longer being a viable pick in Apex come Season 12 seem to have been for nothing. Yes, the Nox Gas Traps are destructible, but they won’t be taken out with just one tap as many worried.

  • Apex Legends IRL gas trap goes viral after Caustic main uses 3D printer – Dexerto

Apex Legends IRL gas trap goes viral after Caustic main uses 3D printer Electronic ArtsAn Apex Legends player recently shared footage of an impressive Caustic gas trap they made using a 3D printer. The trap counts among Caustic’s signature tactical moves. Players can throw the canister to arm it with gas, then shoot it to activate the effects. The canister additionally serves as a proximity mine when left alone. Akin to several other noteworthy tools in Apex Legends, this particular weapon has become a collectible item in the real world. Artists on stores such as Etsy sell replicas of Caustic’s gas canister, for example. But one Reddit user has gone above and beyond in terms of bringing a bit of Apex Legends into reality. This 3D-printed Caustic gas trap is beyond amazing A Reddit post from user ZRE1990 is making quite a splash in the Apex Legends subreddit, thus far garnering well over 25,000 upvotes. The post showcases footage of the Redditor’s “full size,” 3D-printed gas trap, which even shoots out fog from all sides. Further down the thread, the Caustic main noted that building the device took “months.” That much seems evident in the incredible build quality. And the hissing sound that’s sparked when the fog flows out serves as yet another awesome touch. (Using the Nessie plush for scale is a nice touch, too.) One person in the comments said the 3D-printed Caustic gas trap would make for a nice humidifier, to which someone else noted that such a product already exists on Etsy. Suffice it to say, the creativity of the Apex Legends community knows no bounds, further evidenced by the impressive cosplay costumes that make the rounds every so often.

  • Apex Legends: How to completely block Bunker doors with Caustic gas traps – Dexerto

Apex Legends: How to completely block Bunker doors with Caustic gas traps Apex Legends players have discovered a possible exploit which hands Caustic users a significant in-game advantage, as they can make certain doors essentially impenetrable. Apex Legends has proven to be a worthy competitor to Fortnite in the saturated battle royale market, surpassing their rivals to be the quickest game to reach 50 million players. However, after an explosion of popularity on release, the hype has slowly died down with many players feeling that the long-awaited Season 1 battle pass failed to deliver. Additionally, there have been a host of bugs and performance issues that have plagued some users – now, a new way to annoy your opponents has been found. Discovered by reddit user u/TheNothingBox, Caustic’s tactical ability can be used to block enemy players from entering a room with unbreakable sliding doors – such as those found at either end of the Bunker. By placing gas traps on the door, players are unable to gain access from outside, allowing you and your teammates valuable time to heal up if necessary. This move would obviously be extremely effective at Bunker in particular, where if the circle permits, you could lock an enemy team outside of the safe zone, forcing them to be eliminated (or make the long journey round the side), without risking your life. It’s worth noting enemies can shoot the trap to activate it, but the door will remain closed if another trap can quickly be placed. Apex players also discovered a method to infinitely place Wraith’s dimensional portals back in February, which has still not been patched. It’s unclear if this mechanic is intended or not, as it can provide Caustic users a significant advantage over their opponents, but only time will tell whether Respawn Entertainment address the issue when they release their next batch of patch notes.

  • Apex Legends: Caustic “Bunker 2.0” discovered in Season 3 map – Dexerto

Apex Legends: Caustic “Bunker 2.0” discovered in Season 3 map Apex Legends Season 3 took the fanbase away from Kings Canyon and onto World’s Edge, but that didn’t stop Caustic players from finding exploitable spots on the new map. In the early months of the game, Apex Legends was seeing a ton of Caustic players wreaking havoc on opponents who would fall victim to their Bunker traps, giving them essentially no way of avoiding death once caught. Legends with harrowing memories of slowly dying at the hands of a deranged Caustic-main might have let out a sigh of relief with news of a Bunkerless map. But the persistence of one player will make unsuspecting teams ripe for the picking once again. In an October 3 Reddit post, user ‘Beanbag1992’ highlighted a cramped spot in one of the buildings at the Fuel Depot that would serve as the new “Bunker 2.0,” as some fans are already calling it. The clip shows a whole team led by Wattson cornering Beanbag’s teammate, Lifeline, who was intentionally left defenseless. After immediately eliminating the Combat Medic, the enemy team flooded the bathroom after seeing the small space “loaded… with as much loot as possible.” Amid the enemy team’s blind greed, Beanbag was sitting on the ceiling’s rafters waiting for the opportune moment to strike. “Here comes a Wattson,” a player can be heard saying in wait. “Octane. Octane, Wattson and Lifeline. Come on, come on, come on.” As soon as all players were snug in there, Caustic can be seen throwing down a Nox Gas Trap to seal the trio in the room and then following it up with a Nox Gas Grenade Ultimate ability. The team trapped inside can be seen frantically shooting and jumping, trying to find any way of escaping. But the shots slowly die down as they switched over to their Syringes to steal a few more moments of life. Sure enough, seconds later the kill feed almost simultaneously registered all three of eliminated players to Beanbag’s name. Caustic mains are sure to try replicate the clip’s success, so Apex Legends players should be wary of a suspicious-looking bathroom on Talos.

  • Apex Legends Caustic buff idea would change how his gas damage works – Dexerto

Apex Legends Caustic buff idea would change how his gas damage works Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has developed a buff idea for Caustic that involves adding a gas ‘diffusion’ mechanic to the Toxic Trapper’s tactical. For the majority of Caustic mains in Apex Legends, the Toxic Trapper hasn’t been the same since his hefty nerfs during the Chaos Theory event. With his Nox Gas Traps currently dealing a flat 5hp per tick instead of the previous 6hp to 12hp ramp over time, there’s no denying that Caustic’s power as Legend has taken a serious hit. Caustic mains have been calling out for Respawn to revert the nerfs for some time, but the devs have remained steadfast that the changes to his tactical were necessary. Well, instead of asking the devs to return Caustic to his former glory, one Apex player has developed their own buff idea for his tactical. The change involves adding a clever gas diffusion mechanic and it’s got a lot of attention from the game’s community. A new way to buff Caustic? A thread posted to the Apex Legends subreddit presenting a buff idea for Caustic’s tactical has garnered over 13,000 upvotes at the time of writing. Apex_mr_mirage’s change involves adding a gas diffusion mechanic to Caustic’s Nox Gas Trap tactical. This means players would take more or less damage depending on how close they are to the canister emitting the gas. Read More: EA is testing a new battle pass system – This would add a level of out playability to the Toxic Trapper’s tactical and require enemies to take note of where his traps are placed. According to the graphic, each trap would have a radius of gas split into three separate sections. The inner radius would deal 9 damage per tick, the middle radius would be 7 damage per tick, and the outer radius would be 5 damage per tick. While Respawn would probably need to add visual indicators for each radius in the gas, this idea would definitely make Caustic more interesting to play against. On top of this, it would force Caustic players to create specific trap layouts to maximize damage in certain areas. This is exactly the kind of change Caustic mains are looking for, one that makes him powerful and exciting to play, but also gives enemies the opportunity to avoid damage if they’re skilled enough. Hopefully, this is a buff concept that pushes Respawn to make changes to Caustic’s tactical and give his gas clouds a little more lethality.

  • Apex Legends caster reveals most popular locations for final circles – Dexerto

Apex Legends caster reveals most popular locations for final circles An Apex Legends caster has uncovered the most popular final circles for the battle royale’s debut season on World’s Edge. After Respawn Entertainment launched Apex Legends back in February, battle royale fans were dropped into King’s Canyon – a completely different backdrop to what they’ve experienced in recent games. As the game moved on to season three, the map that many had come to know and love was replaced by World’s Edge, a setting that blends winter, deadly fire, and an apocalyptic residential zone into a perfect mix. Yet, with the unpredictable nature of battle royale titles, thanks to the RNG (random number generator) factor, it’s quite difficult to decide on a location that’s worth hiding out in until the end. The RNG makes it so no two games are ever really the same, but some repetitive final circles do crop up. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user Lrktl compiled the final zones from 150 scrimmage games to find out if the game favors one location over another. In their research, the Argentine Apex caster noted that during professional practice games, circles near Capitol City and Thermal Station lead the way when it comes to the end game with 18 and 19 respectively. In contrast, a popular landing spot like The Trainyard didn’t quite match them, recording 8 nearby final circles during the 150 sample games. What is quite interesting, too, is that 42 of the zones touched the train tracks that circle the map either ever so slightly or completely engulfing the track. Finishing up there may have seemed out of bounds for some players, but it appears as if that isn’t the case. Now, while a pattern may have emerged from ltrkl’s data, the RNG nature of Apex means that you aren’t guaranteed to drop into your next game and finish up near Capitol City immediately. Your best hope of winning is still landing where you want, grabbing some loot, taking down enemies, and just adjusting to what the game gives you.

  • Apex Legends caster eviscerated for esports hot take: ‘Casters are least important part of broadcast’ – Dexerto

Apex Legends caster eviscerated for esports hot take: ‘Casters are least important part of broadcast’ /ESL Gaming via ESPATApex Legends caster Brad ‘im_b_rad’ Lusher decided to wade into the waters of controversy by posting a hot-take Tweet saying esports casters are “the least important part of a broadcast and should be paid like it.” Esports Twitter was set ablaze on July 11 as Apex Legends caster im_b_rad posted a hot-take on Twitter. The take ruffled the feathers of many in the community as it seemingly belittled the role of commentating in esports production and put casters at the lowest end of the totem pole. “Esports hot take. Casters are the least important part of a broadcast and should be paid like it. Admins, observers and production are more essential to a broadcast,” im_b_rad said. The post has racked up almost 500 replies and quote retweets at the time of writing as the esports community, and his fellow casters, largely disagree with the opinion. “I think this might be the most ignorant thing I’ve read about not just esports, but broadcasting in general,” veteran multi-esports caster Erik ‘DoA’ Lonnquist said in a reply. Esports caster hot take sets community on fire Another veteran caster Mitch ‘Uber’ Leslie also decried the post, saying im_b_brad comes across as a “pick-me.” “If you’re in that much of a hurry to devalue the craft of casting just go and undercut your peers. More effective and produces one less utter tripe opinion on the internet,” he said. Even some esports players got in on dunking on the post. Notably, The Guard Valorant player Michael ‘neT’ Bernet chimed in saying casters make highlights “even more special.” “Great casting makes the experience as a fan so much more enjoyable. I can still recall early CS highlights just because of how much more the casting emphasized the importance of the moment,” the pro player wrote. Another industry leader in the esports broadcasting space, Alex ‘Goldenboy’ Mendez, poked holes in the post’s logic by revealing the work he has had to do as a caster over his career. “I’ve had to block cameras for a show because production didn’t consider rotating casters for breaks and didn’t prepare for that,” Goldenboy replied. “I re-wrote an entire run of show hours before we went live because of incompetence. I know I am worth more than the rate I’m paid. Period.” Some behind-the-scenes esports production people also chimed in saying that casters often put in hours of unpaid work in preparation and video review sessions before matches, unlike other members of broadcast production. One person argued that his post fits best within Apex Legends esports, but not the wider esports ecosystem. Im_b_rad, however, disagreed. “Most other esports I’ve watched have been live when casting I think is irrelevant as you cannot hear them and simply need a stage host, where it is more akin to traditional sports with no commentary in the venue,” he said. Im_b_rad has not responded to some of the more high-profile community figures reacting to his tweet, despite sharing his opinions with others in some replies.

  • Apex Legends care package weapons for Season 10: Spitfire replaces Prowler – Dexerto

Apex Legends care package weapons for Season 10: Spitfire replaces Prowler Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 10 will be switching up its list of care package weapons, which has knock-on effects for both Battle Royale and Arenas game modes. • Apex Legends CAR SMG ironsight is actually broken – Dexerto

Apex Legends CAR SMG ironsight is actually broken Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have discovered an alignment issue with the CAR SMG’s ironsight reticle, making it harder to hit shots and track opponents while firing. Since releasing on November 2, Apex Legends Season 11 has been overwhelmingly popular with the community. From the tropical Storm Point map to the deadly new Legend Ash, Escape seems to have delivered when it comes to new content and features. However, as with every major update, a number of bugs and issues have slipped through the cracks and one seems to be affecting the new CAR SMG. After testing the weapon’s ironsight, a player realized that the center of the screen doesn’t align with the gun’s reticle. CAR SMG’s ironsight reticle broken in Apex Legends Reddit user Ol-CAt decided to do some tests on the CAR SMG’s ironsight after they felt the weapon wasn’t as accurate as it should be. Blacking out the background and tracking the reticle in comparison to the center of the screen, Ol-CAt realized that the two are not in sync. This means although a player is aiming at an enemy, the reticle may not have registered in time, leading to missed shots. It’s worth noting that this only affects the CAR SMG while using the ironsight, as any optics immediately fix the issue. After posting the evidence to the Apex Legends subreddit, a lot of users were skeptical, suggesting that this may be intended as the weapon is an SMG and not a pinpoint accurate sniper. In response, Ol-CAt referenced a thread that they posted over two years ago showcasing a fix Respawn made to a similar issue with the Flatline and a few other weapons. As the devs have implemented a patch for this before, it suggests that the CAR ironsight is not operating as intended. For now, we’ll have to wait and see whether a fix is added in a later patch, or if Respawn has deliberately designed the base CAR to be less accurate.

  • Apex Legends Capture the Flag mode and Firing Range update leaked – Dexerto

Apex Legends Capture the Flag mode and Firing Range update leaked Respawn EntertainmentA huge dumping of Apex Legends leaks has revealed two new features that are in the works, and fans of the Call of Duty series will know them well – a Capture the Flag mode and a Firing Range update. On March 22, a massive amount of leaked information surfaced on Reddit, including names of Legends that have not been released yet, as well as weapons, emotes, and other features. With Season 12 starting on February 8 and the next major update expected to land on May 2022, fans have been left wondering if any of this content will appear in the near future. While Respawn Entertainment have yet to comment on the leaks, a few of which have disappeared from the internet through DMCA strikes, some details have been put into the public domain, including two big changes. Apex Legends leaked mode & Firing Range update It is unclear as to how Respawn Entertainment will add Capture the Flag, should they choose to. References to both this new mode and a Firing Range update was found in a dump online, which also included several gameplay videos, though there is no confirmation as to whether they will be integrated into Apex Legends in the near future. Images and videos have been deleted after being found in a Reddit thread, posted by a throwaway account. The post contained multiple files, showing off a Legend called Newcastle, among other things. In one of the Legend videos, it said: “The flag for Capture the Flag,” seemingly confirming the mode is being worked on. In another, the Firing Range had been reworked, suggesting there’s more to come from the training mode. The options are clear, should the developers wish to add them, though. These could be limited-time modes as part of a mid-season update or part of a future season, implemented similarly to Arenas. As is the case with any leaks, it’s best to take them with a hint of salt until confirmed via official sources. At the time of writing, Respawn have not commented on the leaked modes, Legends, or weapons.

Why Apex Legends players are so annoyed with the Season 2 camping meta The ever-evolving Apex Legends brought a host of new changes in Season 2 but many players are unhappy with its current camping meta. Camping is part and parcel of battle royale games, and shooters in general, as there are always going to be those who play a passive game through style or not having the skills to go head to head. However, Apex Legends’ current system actually encourages it, something which has incurred the wrath of the Apex community. RP distribution needs changing It stems from how ranked points (RP) are currently distributed. Naturally, in ranked play, teams and individuals are doing their best to get as high up the leaderboards as possible. This isn’t always conducive for aggressive play, resulting in camping. When you combine this with the RP distribution whereby the RP gained for killing someone in comparison to placing high isn’t anywhere near high enough, players have another reason to play passively. Other factors also encourage selfish play such as stealing kills which counts towards RP and having little incentive to respawn a teammate. The defensive Wattson The introduction of Wattson, Apex Legends’ newest legend, hasn’t helped either. Known as the “Static Defender”, her abilities are unsurprisingly defensive. Her Tactical Ability is an electric fence which can help a player camp, and her Ultimate is an electrified pylon that destroys incoming ordnance and automatically repairs players damaged shields. How to fix the camping meta Reddit user Brokeng3ars provided a numerical example of this: “Currently you can kill 20 players in the game, respawn your squadmates 2x over, deal 4k damage and die from a 4th squad in 5th place and get less RP than the squad who wins with 2 kills and 300 damage.” This, of course, provides no incentive to play aggressively. Rather than just moaning about the current camping meta though, Brokeng3ars listed some ways to improve the game: +1 RP per match for your squad when you successfully respawn someone. Capped at 1 RP per match regardless of # of respawns. Limited only to deaths via enemy damage. – +RP for kill assists or squad wide credit. – +1 RP for every 1000 damage capped at 2 or 3. Snipers contribute less damage to this. – +RP for kills that scales with rank. Keep kill cap at 5. – Possibly have different RP caps and kill caps for each rank. – Respawn Entertainment have yet to comment on the issue, but given the noise it is making on forums and social media, there’s little doubt they’re aware of the issue. How they will respond, or if they indeed choose to alter it, remains to be seen.

  • Apex Legends players call for Respawn to skip Season 11 legend for “health” update – Dexerto

Apex Legends players call for Respawn to skip Season 11 legend for “health” update Respawn EntertainmentSick of audio issues in Apex Legends, or the rubber banding of servers? Many players are, leading to a community petition for Respawn to delay the release of their new Season 10 and 11 content for a “health” update to fix the game’s underlying issues. Apex Legends is seeing a sharp rise in popularity in Season 10, primarily thanks to many top Warzone and other streamers dropping into Respawn’s battle royale. However, more eyes on the game comes with its own set of problems. Now, players are becoming acutely aware of some of the game’s longest standing bugs, from audio issues to cheaters constantly spamming Charge Rifles. One player’s idea to fix the game is going viral though. Twitter user Kherzii’s “petition to make Season 11 Apex primarily focused on bug fixing, meta tweaking, character/weapon balancing rather than new content” has exploded on Twitter and Reddit. https://twitter.com/Kherzii/status/1424684046865600513 The proposal by players is similar to Rainbow Six Siege’s “Operation Health” update. The update, which launched in 2017, pushed back all new content for three months as Ubisoft worked on fixing some of the game’s biggest issues. The effects of that update are still felt today. They fixed issues with voice chat, matchmaking, and some major bugs that made Siege an all-round better experience. Plus, some of the technology they implemented expanded the scope they could explore in future updates. While new content — like the release of Seer, new guns like the Rampage, and map reworks — helps keep the game fresh, these long-standing issues have been on the nerves of many for years now. No matter whether it’s about the tug of war between aim assist on controller and mouse and keyboard, or how the game is balanced, some players are calling on Respawn to focus on these issues more than just pumping out a new legend every few months. Respawn has put in effort in the past to fix long-standing issues, however, a season dedicated to fixing the game might future-proof Apex for years to come.

  • Apex Legends Buster Sword slammed by player who bought it so you don’t have to – Dexerto

Apex Legends Buster Sword slammed by player who bought it so you don’t have to Respawn EntertainmentThe launch of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth event means the Buster Sword is finally here. Player reactions are flooding in, and they aren’t as good as FF7 and Apex fans would’ve hoped. Apex Legends and Final Fantasy shocked their respective player bases when the two giants revealed a crossover during The Game Awards. The event promised many Final Fantasy-inspired cosmetics, including the iconic Buster Sword. Fast forward, and the hype around the event has taken a drastic nosedive. Players have discovered it’ll cost over $300 to unlock everything in the event, provided you don’t have crafting materials, and the rewards for collecting everything are the Buster Sword R5 and the “One-Winged Angel” death box. With the event currently live, one player collected everything the event offers and shared their critical opinion. Apex Legends players slam Buster Sword: “Save your money” With this event, there are 36 cosmetics to unlock, and the final rewards are the Buster Sword, a universal Mythic equipable to any character, and the death box. In an attempt to do a good deed, Twitter/X user SomeoneWhoLeaks crafted 20 event packs and bought the rest of the collection to show off the Buster Sword. Their review? Less than pleasing as they curtly said, “The sword sucks,” with an overview of how it plays in real-time. Running animation + Spinning, GGs I am going to play russian roulette with a full cylinder pic.twitter.com/Lj1gBu4vTe — SWL (@SomeoneWhoLeaks) January 9, 2024 In defense of Respawn, the developers clearly faced a dilemma. Make it too small, and fans would slam it for inaccuracy. Make it too large, and you face the current issue where you can’t see a majority of the weapon. Not to mention, you have to contend with balancing issues since a good portion of your screen is taken up by the Buster Sword. Yet, it’s the latter sentiment that makes this feel like a misstep. Many of the replies echoed this train of thought since characters like Rampart carry around a giant turret, but it’s fully displayed on the screen without issue. SomeoneWhoLeaks suggested that Respawn should’ve taken the Rampart route, or a path similar to Crypto’s since his heirloom is a sword he holds on his side. Unfortunately for an event fans were massively excited for, it seems Apex may have dropped the ball. Stay tuned to see if any changes come to the Buster Sword.

  • Apex Legends bursts at the seams as game-breaking bugs plague Ranked – Dexerto

Apex Legends bursts at the seams as game-breaking bugs plague Ranked Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends community is reeling after yet another game-breaking bug has cropped up on Olympus — this time surrounding the Phase Runner. The Apex Legends community has been having a bit of a tough time recently with major shakeups surrounding ALGS and some big problems surrounding Ranked. With boosting exploits and game-breaking bugs plaguing Ranked, many fans are feeling fed up with Season 18 as a whole. Yet another game-breaking bug was discovered on Olympus after a player was seen surviving the final storm by repeatedly entering the Phase Runner. Apex Legends sees another game-breaking bug on Olympus Former NRG pro player sweet posted a clip on Twitter after seeing the exploit in action and said, “With all the talk about ALGS… At least Ranked doesn’t have any issues.” The video showed sweet spectating the end of a Ranked match between the final three squads. Sweet was immediately baffled by the strange final fight, which, at first, appeared to be an instance of boosting. After the two teams finally started their firefight in the final circle and knocked each other out, the spectator perspective switched to a lone Lifeline repeatedly entering the Phase Runner. To the Apex streamer’s surprise, the Lifeline took no damage while teleporting through the Phase Runner. “And the last guy in the game is jumping through the f*cking cannon to get second place… Wait how is he not taking gas damage,” the streamer asked. After wondering aloud if the player was exploiting, sweet vented his frustration by screaming, “What is going on in Apex?!” Especially with the out-of-bounds Trident exploit still left unresolved by Respawn, it’s no wonder Apex players are frustrated with the current state of Ranked. At the time of writing, it’s unclear if and when Respawn will patch out this new Phase Runner exploit, but considering sweet’s clip has hit over 1 million views, it hopefully won’t stick around for long.

  • Apex Legends bug with the new Legend Alter is crashing servers in Season 21 – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug with the new Legend Alter is crashing servers in Season 21 Respawn EntertainmentA new bug has been found in Apex Legends, where a certain play with the new Legend Alter is causing servers to crash, especially on Kings Canyon. Season 21 added a new Legend, Alter, to the roster, but also brought back the fan-favorite map Kings Canyon for the first split of the season. While some players are fighting their hearts out in Skull Town, others have reported they’re facing a bug of servers crashing while playing as Alter. The bug happens when an Alter tries to enter a vault through a wall using their Void Passage ability while another player tries to open it using any grenade simultaneously. As a result, the players are disconnected from the match instantly, and an error message reading “Server shutting down – Internal server error” pops up. Players who have fallen victim to this bug have started reporting it on Reddit with video evidence, recommending others avoid using Alter’s tactical to get into grenade vaults. Some players were initially “impressed” as they thought “the devs had considered what would happen if Alter portaled into a vault” – but their expectations backfired. Kings Canyon fans are understandably sad that using the new Legend on their favorite map is such a risk. One even said, “Kings is gone again.” Players also highlighted the number of bugs caused by vaults in previous seasons, arguing it’s getting “silly” now. This is not the first time Explosive Holds in Kings Canyon have been responsible for game-breaking bugs. In Season 10, the vaults were disabled as they similarly started to crash entire game servers.

  • Apex Legends bug turns Revenant invisible while using gold armor – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug turns Revenant invisible while using gold armor RespawnApex Legends players have encountered a strange bug that turns Revenant invisible shortly after equipping some gold armor. After much speculation about who was going to be released as the new legend, the fourth season of Apex Legends kicked off with the release of the super creepy Revenant. Despite some stern criticism from streamers like Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek, who believe that players will soon realize just “how bad” the character is, the Synthetic Nightmare has become a mainstay in trios that run around the newly updated World’s Edge map in the hopes of grabbing a win. Yet, there is a growing issue that the Respawn Entertainment team might want to check out. Redditor BigBuluga showcased a video from a recent game of theirs on the Apex Legends subreddit where, bizarrely, Revenant disappeared from the screen and was replaced by floating guns. It came after the trio had wiped out another team and looted their goodies in the hopes of grabbing some game-changing equipment. After upgrading from white armor to gold the Revenant disappeared, leaving the teammate to ponder as to what had just happened. After questions about what had just unfolded came in, the Redditor didn’t reveal any further details about whether or not their teammate re-appeared in their normal form. Instead, he noted that they just started laughing about how funny the whole situation was. “I’ve been laughing for like 5 minutes,” BigBuluga added in the comments. With the issue happening during the return to the original Kings Canyon map in its limited-time release, it’s unknown if the bug is linked specifically to that or if it’s something that can affect normal matches too. It remains to be seen if it is something that Respawn needs to address in a coming update or if it’s something that will just disappear once everything goes back to normal and players are solely playing the World’s Edge map.

  • Apex Legends bug turns Mad Maggie’s explosive ult into a complete dud – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug turns Mad Maggie’s explosive ult into a complete dud Respawn EntertainmentMad Maggie was designed to be an unstoppable force in Apex Legends but this bug with her ult completely stops the Rebel Warlord in her tracks. Mad Maggie is a character who has only been minorly impacted by bugs for most of her still-young lifetime in Apex Legends. While there have been some problems with her drill not penetrating through certain surfaces, she has mostly remained free from the bigger problems which have weighed down abilities like Wattson’s ult in the past. Unfortunately, she does have one big issue, and when it pops up it makes the doors of Apex Legends feel like they’ve been upgraded to vault status, blocking any and all traffic from coming through and breaking it down. Mad Maggie bug makes some Apex Legends doors impossible to break The problem occurs when attempting to unleash Maggie’s ultimate. Usually, the wrecking ball will blow clean through any obstacle in its way, but that power mysteriously vanishes if a player makes one mistake. The ball must contact the ground before hitting the door if they want it to clear a path. Chucking the explosive right against the barrier will cause it to be magically nullified, reduced to nothing more than a children’s bouncy ball for all intents. When this happens, the ult will still explode like normal and leave its speed boosts all over the ground, but the big boom doesn’t have much of an effect other than that. Naturally, this has left players scratching their heads over the exact cause. One fan also noted that watching the ball do its best to break down the door is quite upsetting in some ways. “The fact it keeps trying to slam into the door but doesn’t make a dent makes it a little sad actually,” they remarked. A second player joked that everyone else’s expectations were too high and that the ball was “trying his best” to get the job done. While it’s nice to know that this problem can be avoided with some well-thought-out aim, it’s certainly annoying to have to keep this little trick in mind in the heat of battle.

  • Apex Legends bug makes players immune to damage on Tridents – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug makes players immune to damage on Tridents Electronic ArtsIn the newest season of Apex Legends, players have noticed that some people are immune to damage while riding Tridents. Tridents were added to Apex alongside the launch of Season 7: Ascension and served as the shooter’s first rideable vehicles. While they have the capacity to seat entire squads, Tridents aren’t necessarily the answer to dominating in a match. After all, the vehicle lacks its own weapons and will not damage enemies if a player runs them over. Even more interesting is that damage dealt by players has no effect on Apex Legends’ hovercraft. Instead, damage gets evenly distributed between all inside the vehicle at the time of impact. A new bug may prevent this part of the equation from working as intended, though. Apex Legends glitch impacts damage dealt to players in Tridents Twitter user Selen Tatsuki noticed that Apex users riding in Tridents no longer take damage, presumably due to a bug. The players shared footage of their findings in a 10-second clip, which shows players in a Trident being immune to an onslaught of gunfire from a distance and at close range. Taking the Tridents glitch and other issues into consideration, Apex Legends players agree that something is indeed up with Season 17, which launched in early May. “This season is pretty awful. Hopefully, they fix everything next season,” wrote one person in response to the above social media post. Someone else replied, “Caustic mains are about to have a fun time with this bug.” It’s currently unknown if Respawn is aware of the bug, but here’s to hoping a fix goes live sooner rather than later. Players also patiently await news about Apex Legends Season 18, which is expected to go live on August 8. Leaks suggest a new Legend named Conduit will join the fray, though Respawn has yet to confirm as much.

  • Apex Legends bug is trapping players in endless loop of Wraith’s portals – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug is trapping players in endless loop of Wraith’s portals Respawn EntertainmentThere have been major bugs in Apex Legends that have been causing players tons of headaches, but an emerging problem with Wraith’s portals are really throwing players in a loop. Respawn Entertainment released their battle royale on February 4, and has since garnered a massive following for its different approach to the genre. But with long time in between updates, players have been experiencing a swarm of bugs throughout King’s Canyon. One of the latest entries of glitches found in the game comes in the form of an infinite loop that Reddit user ‘cubsfan219’ found themself in after using a Wraith’s Dimensional Rift while outside of the zone. In the nauseating clip, cubsfan219 can be seen being thrown back and forth from one end of the Wraith ultimate to the other, seemingly without a way to end the cycle. The user said that “a wraith sent me to purgatory. I was stuck like this for 5 min with no possible way to get out,” baffling other players who saw the strange bug. Apparently it was no exaggeration about the portal glitch’s duration seeing as the Interdimensional Rift “didn’t time out like normal.” It was so bad that cubsfan219 eventually just left the game since there was nothing for them to do. It doesn’t seem like the cause for the glitch is known, but some had their suspicions as to why the portals didn’t just disappear like normal. “I’m going to assume the portals have a leeway timer on them if someone is actively using them,” Reddit user ‘Narc26’ said. “You probably would have been suck for the rest of the game.” Wraith’s Portals have seen a lot of bugs There have been numerous instances of strange errors concurring with the Interdimensional Skirmisher’s ultimate ability that have both helped and hindered players in the past. Of course there is the famous infinite portal glitch that let Wraith players set up a startling amount of portals in quick succession. Similarly, some players have been able to use the Wraith portal for insane tactics that could really throw off opponents in the battle royale. Portals in Apex Legends have been used in a number of great ways, so hopefully Respawn can find a way to rid the game of the endless loop bug.

  • Apex Legends bug suggests Season 1 Battle Pass should have been released already – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug suggests Season 1 Battle Pass should have been released already Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have been looking forward to the announcement of the first Battle Pass since the game’s shock launched and a new bug seems to suggest that it should be out by now. It was widely expected among the game’s online community that the first Battle Pass for the free-to-play title would land on March 12, following an accidental leak from Origin which seemed to announce its price and arrival. Disappointment soon set in, though, when Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment posted on Reddit that an announcement would be made sometime in the future. However, a new bug that can be seen in-game seems to show that the Battle Pass was indeed planned to launch on March 12 – or thereabouts. The bug, which can be seen in the short clip below, seems to show items appearing in Apex Packs that don’t seem to be authorised yet. Some fans are speculating that these items were being prepared to be added to the game ahead of the initial launch date of the Battle Pass, but were not set live due to a change in direction from the developer. Apex Legends data miner @Shrugtal claims this is further proof that the battle pass was scheduled to release on March 12, but was delayed. Saw a support conversation that basically said that the reason this occurs is Octane items being added to the loot list, and that you’ll have access to them when Octane is released. On a unrelated note, Octane’s legendary finisher is called Full Throttle. — Shrugtal (@shrugtal) March 14, 2019 There’s still no word from Respawn that suggests that new content was planned to arrive on March 12, but now it’s not only leaked information that seems to hint at it – as items that can’t even be used yet are being handed out in packs. Whenever there’s an announcement on the official release of the Battle Pass for Apex Legends, we’ll be the first to let you know. Until then, it seems to be a waiting game for fans.

  • Apex Legends bug reveals why World’s Edge map can be your biggest enemy – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug reveals why World’s Edge map can be your biggest enemy Balloons in Apex Legends can often be a great way to evade danger or simply used to launch yourself across the map. As one unlucky player discovered however, they can also lead to your demise. Released on October 1, Season Three of Apex Legends saw the introduction of a wide array of brand new content. From a new Legend in the form of Crypto, to the implementation of World’s Edge, players of the FPS Battle Royale have been provided with a heap of additions to try and master. The new map features secret loot vaults and speeding trains, yet one extremely unfortunate player managed to ignore all of the flashy scenery and get themselves eliminated in hilarious fashion. In an October 20 clip, Apex Legends player ‘SheGo808’ made it through until there were only 31 players on the map, even racking up two eliminations in the process. Read more: Bangalore skin concepts – Attempting to get back in close proximity with their squad, the player utilized a nearby balloon for some speedy traveling. Little did they know that the landing point would soon lead to their downfall. Sailing by one of the enormous in-game banners that promoted a bounty for that specific match, the Crypto player glided right inside of the steel structure holding the advertisement in place. Upon landing, they were all but trapped. Unable to jump and mantle their way back out, the game essentially froze the player in place. All the while, the out of bounds siren was buzzing and counting down without fail. In a 30 second window that felt like an eternity, they were eliminated and kicked out of the match. Elaborating on the extremely unfortunate clip, the player explained how the game “was forcing me to stay there.” As though invisible walls were keeping them encased in the confines of the structure. “There’s one part you see my hands moving, trying to run in the middle, but it wouldn’t let me move,” they continued. This terrain bug is seemingly an oversight that could hopefully be patched out in the very near future. That or Respawn Entertainment could simply place more invisible walls around the structure as to ensure that no one will be losing games in there ever again. Not the first crazy bug to be discovered in the latest update, players have been left defenseless due to a new game-breaking glitch that stops Legends from picking up certain loot.

  • Apex Legends bug makes returning to the battle impossible – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug makes returning to the battle impossible Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends bug is making it impossible for some players to cooperate with the game’s “Return to the Battle” advisory, leading to instant deaths. Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale has seen a ton of strange bugs throughout its lifespan ranging from glitches with Wraith’s portals to Respawn Beacons dropping players off at the wrong locations. While the devs have been hard at work trying to keep the amount of bugs in the game at a minimum, players are discovering new ones everyday with some being even more problematic that the last. In a Reddit post, user ‘ThePashupatee’ showed a clip of his glitched Apex Legends match where the game kept insisting him to “return to the battle” even though he was well within the allowed parameters. Trying to avoid being wrongfully eliminated from the game, the player can be seen riding a rope to reset the timer, but it was hardly a temporary fix for the issue. Thinking on their feet, ThePashupatee was going to actually go out of bounds to see if the bug would recognize a proper “Return to the Battle” instance in hopes of cancelling out the glitch. Apex Legends player’s attempts at a fix go unrewarded They made their way to the closest jump tower all while bunny hopping to avoid the 22-second countdown from reaching zero. But the attempt didn’t yield the results they had hoped for, and on the second attempt he instantly died while trying to get rid of the bug. In a last ditch effort, ThePashupatee’s teammate took the player’s banner to the nearest Respawn Beacon to see if a new life would correct past bugs. Upon making landfall, ThePashupatee was dead once again. Their teammate died moments later, ending their match. “It seems to be something with the loot barge going over out of bounds areas,” another user said trying to find a reason for the bug. “You don’t clear your flag and the game thinks everything is out of bounds. Happened to a squad mate last night, and we ended up rezzing him 3 times. The bug is a crucial error for any Apex Legends player to encounter, and could be a high priority glitch for Respawn to patch out.

  • Game-breaking Apex Legends bug allows players to get under the map – Dexerto

Game-breaking Apex Legends bug allows players to get under the map For Apex Legends Season 3, players were taken to a brand-new map called World’s Edge, but some players have discovered a major bug that allows them to get underneath the map. There was a lot of excitement for the start of Apex Legends Season 3 as it not only brought a new character, Crypto, into the game, but it also introduced a brand new map as we waved goodbye to Kings Canyon. The map is called World’s Edge and it has been mostly praised so far in Season 3. However, it’s not all smooth sailing as a huge game-breaking bug has been discovered that will actually allow players to get under the map and stay there for the whole game. Reddit user djff88 posted a video of him and his squad gliding to the edge of the map where they then hug the invisible wall and drop underneath the whole thing. They spend the whole game running under it to make sure they don’t take storm damage, as it will still damage you even if you aren’t actually above ground. Of course, if you find yourself underneath the map, it doesn’t automatically guarantee a win but it’ll certainly make things a lot easier as you won’t run into any sort of opposition there. All you’ll have to do is remain safe in the storm and if you have a player who is Wraith, you can survive a long time down there through the use of her portal. Obviously, this is a major problem in the game and you would expect Respawn to get this one fixed rather quickly once they become aware of it. There are still some nagging bugs that are affecting the game, but none are quite as big as this one so players would certainly appreciate this getting fixed, especially if it starts to get abused in more matches.

  • Another Apex Legends jump bug lets players soar across the map – Dexerto

Another Apex Legends jump bug lets players soar across the map Apex Legends players have uncovered a brand new spin on the supply bin glitch – now using respawn beacons to quickly fly across the map. Respawn Entertainment are gearing up for the second round of seasonal content in Apex Legends, yet, players are still uncovering problems with the first season from the popular battle royale. As the next step up from Wild Frontier launches on July 2, players will likely be expecting bugs and glitch fixes as well as receiving plenty of new content. Yet, a newly uncovered bug that allows players to go flying across the map might need to be fixed in the meantime. YouTuber GameTuts revealed the new glitch in their video from June 20. The YouTuber explained that they had been joking around in training mode trying to find any new bugs when they come across a problem with the respawn beacons. However, it’s not just limited to training either, as he showed it working in a normal game. In the same vein as the supply bin glitch from earlier in season one, the respawn beacons will send you flying across the map in any direction – provided you give them a melee or two beforehand. Depending on which beacon you are at depends on which direction you will go, but go too far and you can end up flying off the map and eliminating yourself. Now, considering the respawn beacons aren’t meant to work like this, it’s pretty easy to determine that this is a major new bug that players could exploit in-game. Despite being posted around social media, Respawn’s team have yet to respond to the new glitch so it’s unknown if it’s been brought to their attention yet. With Apex Legends season two launching on July 2, all hands will probably be towards making that successful rather than making tweaks to the current state of the game. Yet, it remains to be seen if this beacon jump glitch becomes enough of a problem that the developers have to figure out a way to fix it before they release their brand new seasonal update.

  • Apex Legends bug may have revealed World’s Edge UFO landing spot – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug may have revealed World’s Edge UFO landing spot Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer UQowmNq2]A glitched hologram for Hammond Robotics on World’s Edge could be an indication of where Apex Legends’ ‘UFO’ will land, as speculation for Season 7’s events is starting to grow. Most in the Apex Legends community will remember we got our first look at a UFO-esque point of interest during a developer livestream in June. At the time, Respawn glossed over the enormous vehicle floating off Broken Coast South, leaving players to wonder when they would act on the strange locale. In early September, a leaked walkthrough of the supposed UFO revealed the kind of structure for the POI that players can expect, but again, no concrete details on when it will come to the game were released. Though that still remains to be the case, a bug near the Skyhook location on World’s Edge is giving new hope of where we could at least see the object in the Apex Arena. So this came on reddit today, it looks like the Hammond logo Got bugged, this is placed on a really interesting place because it’s over at the direction where the Skybox for the UFO is, so this could very well be the place where the UFO is gonna land pic.twitter.com/6cQmMkgOum — Biast12 (@Biast12) September 16, 2020 In the opening moments of a match, user ‘Dill_P1’ clipped an instance in which a Hammond Robotics holo can be clearly seen, although its light source wasn’t readily apparent. The Skyhook, and the Space Elevator structure within the POI, sits on the northwest portion of the map. While the player was looking for a place to land on the map, a flickering Hammond Robotics logo could be seen toward the bottom of the screen. The logo was grayed out instead of the bright white image that’s appeared numerous times before in the game. Not only that, but it also was the beginning of a match, just seconds after players were allowed to drop, meaning no one could have already been there to activate the beacon that traditionally lights up the holo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUgRZI1IdV8&feature=youtu.be “So it looks like the UFO could be over Skyhook at the Space Elevator,” prominent dataminer ‘ Biast12’ said, speculating if the ‘glitch’ is hinting at anything. “That would also kinda make sense since you would be able to go on the UFO from the Space elevator” Previous images for the Space Elevator showed Legends placed on various locations on the gigantic structure. This could be an indication that Respawn had planned for players to eventually scale the building. As the season continues, players will be keeping an eye out for any clues that Respawn might sneak into Apex Legends that could give more indication of where the UFO could land, if, of course, it’s even coming.

  • Apex Legends bug makes Wraith’s Tactical fail for no reason – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug makes Wraith’s Tactical fail for no reason Respawn EntertainmentA strange Apex Legends glitch is rendering Wraith’s Tactical completely useless and is even putting the ability on cooldown. Ever since the release of Apex Legends, Wraith has remained one of the most popular characters in the game. Once mastered, her kit gives players the ability to outplay their opponents and win skirmishes that would normally seem impossible. By far, the most important ability in her arsenal is her Into the Void Tactical, allowing her to enter an invulnerable state while moving for a short period of time. Knowing exactly when to utilize this ability is essential when learning how to play the Interdimensional Skirmisher, so when players started noticing that her Tactical just wouldn’t work, alarm bells started ringing. Strange bug is breaking Wraith’s Tactical in Apex Legends Taking to the Apex Legends subreddit, user natenick showcased a Wraith bug that has the potential to cause serious issues for players attempting to escape danger. After being downed by an enemy squad, natenick began reviving using their gold knockdown shield and then immediately attempted to use a Shield Battery. Before they could complete the animation, they sensed danger nearby and used Wraith’s Tactical to go into an invulnerable state. Unfortunately, the ability didn’t seem to trigger and even went on cooldown, leaving natenick completely exposed. It’s hard to know exactly what caused the Tactical to break but according to players in the thread, issues with the Into the Void ability occur a lot more than they should. “Her tactical breaks so often, it’s not even funny,” wrote one player. “So many times the animation cancels itself (usually without triggering the cooldown though) when you try to climb something, touch a wall, drop down 5 meters.” Given Wraith’s popularity, this is definitely an issue Respawn needs to address but considering the exploits with the Rampage & Sentinel, it’s likely they have their hands full for the time being.

  • Apex Legends bug makes Wattson’s fences very overpowered – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug makes Wattson’s fences very overpowered Respawn EntertainmentA strange bug with Wattson’s Perimeter Security ability is making the tactical ability very overpowered in Apex Legends – as the fences simply don’t appear on enemy players’ screens at all. Perimeter Security is Wattson’s electric fence ability, that stuns, slows, and slightly damages enemies who run through them. They are best used as a defensive tactic to stop enemy teams pushing your building or high ground. Particularly strong in the late game, where they can totally cut off parts of the map, similar to Caustic’s traps, the fences are always a tricky ability to avoid. But, this bug is making it completely impossible. Although you can usually spot a fence from far away, and react accordingly, either by shooting them or just avoiding them, the invisibility bug obviously makes this very difficult. There are a handful of examples of this glitch appearing in-game, but the best comes from Reddit user u/bwlebard, who shows them running into thin air and suddenly being hit by a non-existent fence. In their confusion, they wait for their teammate to also move through the same spot on the map, and unsurprisingly, the same happens to them. Although the bug has appeared infrequently in Apex Legends before, it wasn’t mentioned in the latest patch notes, which fixed a lot of issues with other abilities, including Loba’s teleport and Wraith’s portals. There’s also no mention of this issue on Respawn’s public Trello board, which tracks known issues and bugs that they’re investigating. Hopefully, with some more attention now directed at the problem, Respawn will be able to take action. This instance of the bug seems to be even worse than some previous examples though, as in this case, not even the pylons either side are visible. Other examples show the electric beams are not visible, but at least the physical pylons are.

  • Apex Legends bug makes Valkyrie extremely annoying to play against – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug makes Valkyrie extremely annoying to play against Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends has a variety of characters to fit various play styles. Valkyrie allows you to play aggressively and get in the face of other squads. But, this latest bug will have you running far away from her as she reveals your location forever. Valkyrie can maneuver around the map very quickly with her abilities. Her passive, VTOL Jets, allows her to stay in the air and fly around for a short period of time. However, Valk’s ultimate is what gives the most mobility in her kit as it allows her to relaunch into the air and reveal all enemies within 250 meters. Players have complained about Seer’s abilities being overpowered, but this Valk bug may take the cake, as it continues to scan for enemies even after landing. Valkyrie’s ultimate scan stays after landing Players that pick Valkyrie are typically looking to be on the move. When seeing her fly at you with her ultimate, players run in fear as they know they are being revealed. This Reddit clip posted by ‘EmanShamku’ shows how frustrating this could be for enemy teams, as the scan from the ultimate never went away. In the post, it says the Valkryie disconnected from the server before landing. So it appears that the game still registered her in the air, causing her scan to stay up. Although this causes the squad with the Valk to lose her from the game, it can be super frustrating to be seen through walls while taking gunfights. The good news is that the scan does not continue to reveal players as other groups approach. So while it’s not entirely game-breaking, players are hoping it gets fixed soon, as it can be very irritating.

  • Apex Legends bug makes it a pain to use Bloodhound’s Ultimate – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug makes it a pain to use Bloodhound’s Ultimate Respawn EntertainmentA bug in Apex Legends can make Bloodhound’s Ultimate Ability, Beast of the Hunt, disorienting to use since it alters the game’s visuals for the person using it. Using the Ultimate Ability lets Bloodhound enhance their senses by turning the screen black and white while highlighting everything from footsteps, enemies, and more. But the change of color on the screen doesn’t revert back to its original state after the ult has expired. This glitch makes it so that people using the Legend’s Beast of the Hunt have to play out the rest of the game using that same black and white filter, which, needless to say, is a huge issue. Though the bug has been seen in the past, more players are encountering the glitch that prevents them from seeing other people due to the monochrome graphics that blend the entire Apex world together. “Bug with Bloodhound’s ultimate that makes the screen black and white,” Reddit user ‘evergarden_8’ said. “I’m also having to deal with a prediction error problem with the server and boop this happened.. I can’t even see the enemy.” Evergarden added an image showing them spectating someone in Apex, but the gameplay was in black and white while the player’s banner and HUD were displaying their regular colors. Bloodhound’s ultimate got an insanely powerful buff at the turn of Season 4, but fans of the Technological Tracker are starting to find the character difficult to utilize with the bug. “Every time I get killed while using Bloodhound’s ult everything on the screen is still black and white (even when I’m spectating) until I use the ability again,” user ‘JJ2Goated’ said. “I love Bloodhound especially with the new buff but this bug is making it really hard to keep playing them.” In Apex Legends, Ultimate Abilities are supposed to be game-changing moves that tilt the favors to your team, not make the rest of the match unbearable to play. Bloodhound is already not one of the higher-tier Legends in Apex, and this bug can make the character even less appealing to use. More and more players will feel apprehensive to choose the Technological Tracker, so the Apex Legends devs could move in fast to fix the issues before things get too out of hand.

  • Apex Legends bug makes entire World’s Edge map disappear – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug makes entire World’s Edge map disappear In what is without question one of the most absurd glitches you’ll ever see in Apex Legends, a Twitch streamer had the entire map disappear before dropping into combat. From bizarre bugs that make the game unplayable, to odd glitches that force everyone to spawn in the same location, it’s safe to say Respawn Entertainment’s popular battle royale title has its fair share of hilarious faults. Unfortunately for a particular Apex Legends duo enjoying the limited-time mode, the odds definitely weren’t in their favor as an over-the-top texture bug completely ruined their chances. In a November 17 post, Reddit user ‘Nacho4Sure’ showcased the absurd, game-breaking bug in all of its glory. From the initial flyover that featured nothing but an odd outline of where the terrain should have been, to insane textures glitching all over the screen in the midst of combat, it’s safe to say this is one of the most bizarre bugs in Apex history. “I don’t see the map at all” one of the players explained before jumping out of the dropship and bursting into a fit of laughter. The entirety of World’s Edge was gone from the match. Even when opening the top-down map, nothing was displayed in-game. Upon landing however, the situation was only made worse. With a full lobby of players fighting for early loot, textures started to repeat and layer across the bottom half of the screen. From character models to the subtle movement of the player’s very own fists, everything that came into view was patterned across the entire screen with this hilarious texture bug. Despite the game itself working against them, the duo managed to secure a handful of eliminations in the midst of the texture frenzy. It became nearly impossible to distinguish an actual enemy from the sea of repeated character models across the screen, yet they put up a fair fight until the hilarity came to an end. “[The] same bug happened to me few days ago. Felt like [the] server loaded [an] old map or something,” Reddit user ‘indhora’ explained, indicating that the game glitched out to an issue with the servers. Hence why multiple players were experiencing the exact same amusing issue. While this extreme bug appears to be an exceptionally rare problem, Apex Legends has been plagued by a number of game-breaking issues of late. From an “invisible wall” appearing at the worst possible moment to various characters gaining the wrong abilities, there’s never a short supply of hilarious bugs from the battle royale title.

  • Apex Legends bug makes enemies invisible through sniper scope – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug makes enemies invisible through sniper scope Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 4 has kicked off with some incredible fanfare after new legend Revenant was added to the game, but some players aren’t actually able to see the character when aiming down sights. What appears to be a major bug in the battle royale game has been discovered by a number of players since the patch launched on February 4, with Revenant, Bangalore and more characters looking invisible when people are scoping in at them. It’s unclear as to whether this is an issue with the characters themselves or the sniper digital threat, but one thing is for sure, players will want this cleaned up sooner rather than later. The in-game issue was showcased by Reddit user PandaTheLayZ hours after Season 4 got underway, with footage showing Revenant’s body almost entirely invisible from long distance, with just a small section of the character showing – in red – for the enemy to notice the bug. A few redditors joked that because the dangerous robot is made from cold steel, that might be why it isn’t appearing on thermal sights. However, other users claimed the same issue has been seen with a few other Apex characters as well, which suggests it could be a pretty large problem to resolve. This would certainly be a pretty major bug to have made it past Respawn’s testing process. One posted: “I was playing last night against a Bangalore and half of her body was missing, and it was worse through a sniper scope.” Another said: “Something similar happened in a game where I had a Bangalore teammate. Part of her model would disappear when I looked at her from behind, even when she was close but I only got some screenshots of her a bit far.” At the time of writing, there has been no indication that the game’s developers have picked up on the problem, with no announcements being made and there’s no sign of this bug on their Trello board either. It is unclear as to how many people have been affected by this bug so far, or if it was something triggered after the Season 4 update, but an increasing amount are being made aware of it via the subreddit. Over 1,300 users have already upvoted the post, so hopefully it will continue to rise up the forum and catch the attention of Respawn soon. After all, nobody wants to be eliminated by an enemy they couldn’t see properly.

  • Apex Legends bug makes buying extra Crypto drones pointless in Arenas – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug makes buying extra Crypto drones pointless in Arenas Respawn Entertainment/EAA bug in Apex Legends Arenas was discovered that makes purchasing a second drone on Crypto completely useless. As Apex Legends’ Season 9 comes to an end, players are preparing for a very exciting Season 10, which Respawn Entertainment is calling Emergence. Emergence is set to launch on August 3, and players are being teased with content ahead of the game’s tenth season. The upcoming season will revolve around a new Legend named Seer, who was teased with an incredibly cool origin trailer that shows how he got his powers. The new season launch will come with the release of Seer. There is also the addition of Ranked Arenas, which as the name suggests, is a ranked version of the 3v3 Arenas mode. However, there appears to be a few issues with Crypto that are limited to the spin-off game type. One bug that was found was by Reddit user Cybermank, who noticed that buying drones on Crypto in Arenas is useless, as after you use the first one all of the drones in your inventory are depleted. In the video, the player has two drones in their inventory heading into the round, but after one is used and destroyed by opponents, the other one is no longer in the player’s inventory. On a second look, the game appears to show that a second drone is available for a few milliseconds after the first is destroyed, but the counter ultimately resets to zero, causing you to lose some valuable coins. Upon seeing the slip-up, players noted that they’d had similar issues with Crypto too. “So that’s weird! I have the same bug BUT it always leaves me with one drone. It seems to expend one charge of the ability every time you press the ability button. When you recall, it does not refund you the drone. It always refunds my last drone through. I don’t know what is going on with Crypto. Loved using him with snipers in arenas.” Another player commented on the post, saying: “Arenas are so f**king bugged its so annoying. You can’t pick up walls, charge sentinels, use black market, etc. Sometimes you can, but 75% of the time you can’t”. Crypto’s power in Arenas is significantly lower due to this bug, as he can’t reach the potential of his full kit, but we’ll have to wait and see if Respawn fixes things.

  • Unusual Apex Legends bug makes Bloodhound scans completely useless – Dexerto

Unusual Apex Legends bug makes Bloodhound scans completely useless Respawn/EAApex Legends players have been running into a problem with Bloodhound’s scan ability where it doesn’t show any enemy players, even if you stand right next to them. With each different legend having their own unique abilities, Apex Legends stands out from the battle royale crowd. Though, there are times when those abilities end up being a problem. Sometimes, Respawn Entertainment will tweak an ability and either make it too strong or too weak compared to other characters. And other times, they just don’t work as intended, and can ruin a match for players. The developers have been addressing these issues whenever they pop up, but now, Bloodhound’s Eye of the Allfather tactical has run into a few issues and looks to be completely broken. Ahead of the ALGS Winter event, a number of professional Apex Legends players voiced their concerns about broken abilities – pointing out that Bloodhound’s tactical simply doesn’t work. Read More: Apex Legends Fuse voice actor interview – “This is the game we play competitively, Bloodhound scan directly on a full team, nobody shows on scan,” tweeted NRG’s Chris ‘sweetdreams’ Sexton. “Absolutely unacceptable. Happens lots of times too.” As sweetdreams shows, his team used a scan right at the same team as an enemy team that’s within range of being found. However, they don’t show up, and he gets caught out by the opponents hiding under a rock. This is the game we play competitively, bloodhound scan directly on a full team, nobody shows on scan. Absolutely unacceptable. Happens lots of times too @GH057ayame @RSPN_JayBiebs pic.twitter.com/cfbp5UnH2v — sweet (@sweetdreams) January 29, 2021 TSM’s Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen also tweeted about the issue, noting that there also bugs with Gibraltar’s and Casutic’s ultimates not working either and simply disappearing. ALGS is this weekend when theres a bug where Caustic/gibby Ult disappears and Bloodhound scans dont work either, may the best team win 🙂 — ImperialHal (@ImperialHal) January 29, 2021 None of these issues have cropped up on Respawn’s public Trello board, where they show what problems are being looked into. Nor have they been mentioned for any planned fixes in the Season 8 patch notes – although full patch notes haven’t been released yet. There’s no telling if the issues will be addressed soon with a hotfix, or if players will have to battle on until the next update. But, hopefully, Respawn will get it all ironed out.

  • Apex Legends bug lets you use weapons inside new Pathfinder Town Takeover boxing arena – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug lets you use weapons inside new Pathfinder Town Takeover boxing arena Respawn Entertainment/EAA brand-new Apex Legends bug is reportedly allowing players to use their weapons inside of the melee-only Pathfinder Takeover Town boxing arena, which was added to the game with the new Fight Night update on January 6, 2021, although the process on how to do it is unknown. Apex Legends recently got a brand new update titled Fight Night, which added a bunch of new content to the game, including skins, some new LTMs and a section of the map. One of the new pieces of content was the Pathfinder Town Takeover, which added a boxing arena-like area to the map. One of the main selling points of the section was that it forced players to fight one on one with their fists, rather than with their weapons. Now, not even a day after the update has been released, a new bug has been discovered which allows players to completely override that feature and use their weapons inside of it. As one can see in a video provided by Twitter user ‘ikevander,’ he was able to get inside of the arena and still use his weapons, even though the other players could not. Obviously, this isn’t supposed to happen, and is a very surprising issue to run into. According to the user, they don’t even know how to accomplish the exploit, as they claim that they were just “trying to do a fake punch” before a weapon just suddenly appeared in the character’s hand. PSA: There is a bug allowing players to carry + fire their weapon in the boxing ring. Fix soon hopefully 🤞 https://t.co/aLD9yfxu7G — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) January 6, 2021 Because of these lack of instructions, it’s currently unknown how easy it is to accomplish and, if for some reason it’s random, how widespread it truly is. If it’s well-known and easy to do, it might not be too soon to call the new boxing arena a loss until Respawn can get in there and fix the issue for themselves. Regardless, if any updates about the bug come out, you can be sure to stay tuned to Dexerto and TitanfallBlog to find out more.

  • Apex Legends bug lets Rampart’s ultimate shoot through Gibraltar shield – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug lets Rampart’s ultimate shoot through Gibraltar shield Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players seem to have uncovered a new bug that allows Rampart’s ultimate “Shiela” shoot through Gibraltar’s Dome Shield, which definitely isn’t supposed to happen. Rampart is the latest legend to join the Apex roster, and players have already found a bug that allows her ultimate, the turret known as “Sheila”, to shoot through Gibraltar’s Dome Shield. Normally, Gibraltar’s shield stops all projectiles that come from inside or outside its radius while active, but this new bug makes it work more like Winston’s shield in Overwatch does, allowing Rampart’s turret to send shots out, while protecting the player inside from damage. Multiple players have already complained about seeing this pop up in their matches, which is easy to understand since you’re basically going up against an invulnerable killing machine with teams that take advantage of this bug. As you can see in the clip above the bug happens when Rampart deploys her turret, and Gibby tosses his shield on top of it. This allows Sheila, for whatever reason, to fire from the inside of the ability, that’s supposed to block incoming and outgoing damage. This doesn’t just work in the practice range either, as multiple players have reported running into this glitched out combo in their actual games as well. The advantages of exploiting this bug are pretty clear a well, you can basically sit safe and secure with one of the most powerful weapons in the game right now, without the enemy being able to touch you. The very definition of a “game-breaking” bug. It’s not hard to see how this makes Apex just a little bit more unfair, but sadly, that probably won’t stop some players and teams out there from taking advantage of the bug. If you do run into a team abusing this, the best thing we can suggest is to simply avoid them and continue your rotation elsewhere. Read More: 5 most underrated weapons in Apex Legends – At the time of writing the bug is still popping up and being annoying in Apex, but hopefully, devs will take notice and patch it out as soon as humanly possible.

  • Apex Legends bug lets players instantly revive with Octane’s Launch Pad – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug lets players instantly revive with Octane’s Launch Pad Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have uncovered a new issue with Octane’s Launch Pad that allows them to instantly revive teammates in the midst of battle. While it only takes a handful of seconds to revive downed allies in Respawn’s battle royale, players have uncovered a new glitch that completely skips the process. Rather than having to lower your weapons and take time out of your action-packed run, this new Launch Pad glitch can keep you and your team in the fight with ease. Having made it through until the latter stages of a match on March 26, Reddit user ‘matonse’ was stuck outside the safe zone with a downed teammate at their feet. Instead of simply reviving the player and carrying on with their match as per usual, the Wraith player found themselves bouncing up and down on a set of Launch Pads that their allied Octane had left behind. Launching into the air while their health slowly dwindled away, the player was caught off guard by a surprising interaction that allowed them to bypass the revive animation and instantly bring their teammate back to life. In a split moment as their feet touched the ground, the player knelt down and started to revive their teammate. Barely assisting for even a second before they were launched back into the sky, it seemed as though the revive simply wouldn’t be possible with a Launch Pad in the way. To their surprise, however, Octane magically got back to his feet and started to run around before being taken out by the zone once again. Confused as to how exactly the glitch came into effect, the player outlined how “the bug just happened.” “I wasn’t actually trying to make it happen. I would say the bug was caused by me jumping up and down non-stop on the Pad, not because of the [zone] damage,” they explained. Not the first head-scratching revive bug in Apex Legends, a November 2019 issue also had players reviving teammates instantly. Though that particular glitch seemed to do more harm than good, it appears quick-revives have been an issue for quite some time in the battle royale title.

  • Apex Legends bug lets players find shields without Loba’s ability – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug lets players find shields without Loba’s ability Respawn/EAApex Legends players have been running into a strange glitch that gives every character in the game a small taste of Loba’s passive as they can see Purple Evo Shields in closed Supply Bins. [jwplayer ePrNLj8A] At the start of Apex Legends Season 6, Respawn Entertainment made a change to armor by allowing every player to start with an Evo Shield. The premise of the Evo Shield is simple, The more damage you inflict on enemies, the better level of protection you’ll have from the body armor. Thus, players are rewarded for aggressive gameplay rather than hiding in a corner with a gold shield. You can, obviously, pick up different Evo Shields as you go – be it from ground loot, enemy death boxes, or supply bins. However, when it comes to Supply Bins, players are being given a leg up thanks to an unusual glitch. A number of players have encountered the glitch, but the clearest example of the issue comes from Reddit user kakudk, who initially thought Crypto had been given a buff. Simply, what’s going wrong is, when players approach a Supply Bin, if there is a purple Evo Shield inside, a small glow can be seen around the bin – similar to how Loba is able to see into the bin with her Eye for Quality passive. Unlike Loba’s passive, it’s not noticeable when you’re a few hundred meters away and you can’t see every purple or gold item, but it is noticeable when you’re close enough to cause a change in direction and make you head straight for the bin and grab the armor. As noted, kakudk isn’t the only player to run into the bug. Others like bryanheq and Ol-CAt have registered their confusion at being able to see the purple glow underneath and around the Supply Bins. As of writing, Respawn hasn’t put the issue on their public Trello board, so it’s unknown as to whether or not they are aware of the issue. But, once they are, it shouldn’t be too hard to get it straightened out.

  • Apex Legends bug knocking players is ruining Revenant’s Ultimate – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug knocking players is ruining Revenant’s Ultimate Respawn/EAApex Legends players are still running into an annoying issue with Revenant’s Ultimate that is knocking them to the ground instead of being teleported back to the Death Totem. Ever since Revenant was introduced in Season 4, Apex Legends players have run into a few issues with the Synthetic Nightmare’s Death Totem Ultimate ability. When you use the Death Totem, you enter Death Protection. As a result, players can jump back into the fight and give them another chance to get some shots off, or grab a teammates banner for a revive. However, sometimes, it doesn’t work as intended. When you’re in Death Protection mode, you’re meant to be teleported back to the Death Totem after taking damage, but that isn’t happening. Instead, players are still being prevented from heading to the totem for some seemingly unknown reasons. Redditor SashimiTony pointed out that this is still happening with a clip from one of their recent games. After entering Death Protection, the Valkyrie player took some damage and should have been teleported out of the tight room they were fighting inside of. Yet, that didn’t happen. SashimiTony was, instead, knocked to the floor inside of the room and left to be easy pickings for the enemies, who, presumably, couldn’t believe their luck either. Some players suggested that the problem might stem from Valkyrie causing damage to herself with the rocket blast. Of course, there’s no way to know for sure, but if that is the reason, Respawn might have to make a few changes to the Death Totem to prevent it from happening to others.

  • Apex Legends bug keeps player endlessly trapped in Wraith’s portal – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug keeps player endlessly trapped in Wraith’s portal Apex Legends is no stranger to bugs but this might be one of the weirdest ones yet as a player was trapped in a Wraith portal with no exit. Wraith’s portals are an excellent way to cover ground to get out of danger or flank an enemy team, but we’ve also seen there is a potential risk that comes from using them. A bug showed a player get trapped in one in an endless loop with no chance of getting out, rendering him as a useless teammate for over 30 seconds. Reddit user IPL4YFORKEEPS uploaded a clip to Reddit that shows him cycling through the portal and trying everything he can get out of it, but to no avail. The whole thing started because he was playing as Caustic, a mistake all in its own. “I dropped a Caustic trap as I entered a portal and got stuck in a loop,” he said in a comment. “Jumping, crouching, trying to heal, etc did not get me out. Obviously, I tried to run out of it and it just sucked me back in. Once the portal closed I was free.” It’s a pretty bizarre bug and it might be difficult to replicate so it might not be too much of an issue for Respawn going forward. However, with enough small bugs like this all at once, you have a real problem on your hands. Apex has been filled with bugs since its launch with some much more major than others. Wraith is still an excellent choice of Legend to have on your squad, but now you’ll need to be wary about your teammates being trapped in the abyss of your portal. At least the player was able to escape once the portals went away. Also, one positive thing to take away here is that would be an excellent way to stay alive in the final circle.

  • Apex Legends bug is making Gibraltar’s Ult way too powerful – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug is making Gibraltar’s Ult way too powerful Respawn/EA[jwplayer cgdaanpd]A new Apex Legends bug is making Gibraltar’s ultimate ability incredibly powerful as enemy players barely receive a warning about it raining down. Anyone who drops into a game of Apex Legends will instantly recognize Gibraltar. The popular legend, who is more commonly known as Gibby, can be a bit of a pain to play against – especially when the opposing player masters his gun shield and Defensive Bombardment abilities. Yet, it is the Defensive Bombardment that is proving to be a nightmare for some players as the game isn’t quite giving them the earning that it used to – so that they can’t exactly run away and find some cover for themselves. The new issue was pointed out by Reddit user Aphexis, who claimed that Gibby’s ultimate was going off “without any sound again.” In their video, the Caustic player doesn’t get any sort of voice line call out for the ultimate being called in. The small red line that indicates whereabout the barrage is about to land only shows pretty briefly and then the explosives rain down, knocking Aphexis all over the place as they tried to hang on to their life. While some might think that it is a one-time problem only specific to Aphexis, other Redditors pointed out that they’d encountered the issue for themselves on a number of occasions. “Happens way too often as of late,” commented Feelsosophy. Another, Tookin, added: “This has been responsible for a bunch of my late game defeats recently. So frustrating.” As of writing, Respawn hasn’t responded to the video or added the problem to it’s Trello page of things to fix, so it’s unknown if they are aware of them. Obviously, players will be hoping that it gets fixed sooner rather than later so that Gibraltar doesn’t end up becoming too overpowered of a legend to play against.

  • Apex Legends bug hints at night version of World’s Edge – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug hints at night version of World’s Edge Respawn/EA[jwplayer D3TQkpdy]An Apex Legends bug might have just given fans an early look at World’s Edge’ night version, and to say it looks pretty interesting might just be an understatement. Back in season three Respawn Entertainment briefly diverted from their usual map changes and gave Kings Canyon a different feel by putting out a night version. It was originally used for the Shadowfall LTM and proved so popular with fans that Respawn made it available as a part of the Grand Soiree event. With Kings Canyon having a night time-variant, fans have been reimagining World’s Edge in a similar vein. Some have dished out concept images that include having the lava around the map by the main source of light under a night setting. However, it appears as if Respawn could finally be set to give fans what they want after a bug showed off parts of World’s Edge under a night sky. It was pointed out by Reddit user Rumpost, who noted that during a recent game, they were respawned by their teammates and came back to a darker version of World’s Edge. “I thought it was just some glitch but then I got to Harvester and saw the lights!,” the Redditor commented, noting that everything was also “blue and darker” around the map. “This makes me think I glitched into a World’s Edge night map.” However, sadly some might say, it seemingly didn’t last too long. Rumpost noted that their game ended up crashing out due to a Wraith portal, so, we haven’t got any shots of Fragment West or even Lava City under the dark sky. Of course, the photo that the Redditor captured is certainly enough to spark speculation, but as of now, Respawn hasn’t said anything about the possibility of a nighttime World’s Edge. If it were to happen, and they followed the same release as Kings Canyon at night, we wouldn’t see until around Halloween. So, whatever happens, there is certainly a wait in store.

  • Bizarre Apex Legends bug makes the game completely unplayable – Dexerto

Bizarre Apex Legends bug makes the game completely unplayable A number of Apex Legends players have encountered recurring bugs in the game in some form, but a massive glitch cropping up makes the battle royale an unplayable and chaotic mess. While Respawn Entertainment have been on a roll with delivering its fan base a ton of content throughout Season 3, players have been noticing a plethora of errors in the game that makes it hard to play, or just outright crashes it. Since there are players who have grown accustomed to the game’s bugs, when they appear it’s really just a matter of dealing with the issue to get along with their particular match. Stuttering frames breaks Apex Legends But some cases get so bad, that it completely derails the game as seen in the “massive” glitch recorded by Reddit user ‘misternuttall’ who was having a bit of trouble making sense of what was going on in the battle royale. “No Guns, No Respawns, No… Map? Hands down the most fun I’ve ever had with a MASSIVE glitch,” they said. Even before teams jumped onto the map, players could already tell there was something extremely wrong with how the match loaded up – especially since there wasn’t really a place to visibly land. Taking a brave leap into the abyss, once people actually made landfall the problems only seemed to exponentially get worse. Extreme visual bugs were distorting the player’s FOV, making everything stutter and replicate with every passing moment they made. “New Apex game mode: Moshpit on LSD,” one person joked. The glitches in Apex Legends have ranged from hilarious and benign to downright broken, but this takes things to a whole new level. As strange as this instance is, however, it doesn’t seem to be the first of its kind, seeing as some recounted their experience with a similar ordeal. “Oh I had one like this before,” one user said. “It was due to a very bad server and the whole ranked match ended up being 1 v 1 v 1… [As Wattson], I fenced us a boxing ring, and I ended up second. One of the most lovely matches I’ve played ever.” It’s strange to think how Respawn would go about fixing this kind of issue, but better sooner than later – unless more players get trapped in the bugged games of Apex Legends.

  • Strange Apex Legends bug forces everyone to spawn at the same location – Dexerto

Strange Apex Legends bug forces everyone to spawn at the same location An entire Apex Legends lobby was hit with a bugged dropship which forced players to spawn in the exact same spot – seeing as the craft wasn’t even moving. Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale has been a hit with millions of players since it’s February 4 launch. But since its release, there’s been a ton of bugs found throughout the game which has put a damper on players’ matches. Even though the devs are quick to address the issues in their game, some players have been having a fun time encountering bizarre instances of bugs in Apex – which can appear in pre-match lobbies, to moments before dropping into a game. Recorded by Reddit user ‘GlacialSun,’ the dropship glitch held players hostage seeing how the match was beginning, but the vehicle wasn’t moving across the map. As players know, the ship goes in a linear trajectory through World’s Edge which lets players hunt and calculate where they’d want to land to start out the match. But once the game’s 10-second countdown started tick, everyone quickly saw that there was something amiss. “W-what?” one player can be heard saying since their camera wasn’t registering any movement. “Yeah, I think it crashed,” another player surmised, seeing as that would have had to be the only possible reason for the perspective to be at a standstill. But as soon as the timer hit zero, players started launching out of the dropship even though the carrier was still a ways away from the World’s Edge map. “Are you f**king joking? What the heck,” one person said as flurry of contrails flooded their screen as players attempted to reach the landmass, or opt for a quick death to get into another game. Judging by the end of the clip, it looks like there were some players to reach the actual map to get the game started in some capacity. Though there were already more than 10 players out of the game, seeing as the game was bugged to begin with. As comical as the situation was, it’s another instance of a dropship bug that the Apex Legends devs are sure to address sooner than later.

  • Apex Legends bug fixes in Fight Night update: Mirage Decoys, Loba teleport, more – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug fixes in Fight Night update: Mirage Decoys, Loba teleport, more Respawn/EAApex Legends’ Fight Night collection event update is swinging into town bringing new cosmetics, legends buffs, weapon changes, and a whole load of bug fixes as well. Since the Iron Crown event back in Season 2, each Apex Legends season has had its own collection event at some point, bringing in new cosmetics, an heirloom, as well as a Town Takeover, and much more. Season 7 is getting its collection event in the form of Fight Night – an event that focuses on Pathfinder – with the Forward Scout getting a boxing-themed area on the Olympus map. Respawn have already confirmed that the event will see some legend changes too, with both Rampart and Caustic being given slight buffs. On top of that, the devs are also rooting out a number of different bugs, too. While there are some quality of life changes from Respawn in the patch notes, the bug fixes coming in the January 5th update focus solely on rooting out issues with the legends. For example, on top of her cooldown buff, Rampart has two bugs being fixed – one where players were able to place her Sheila mini-gun while using the Phase Runner on Olympus, and another where the UI would look a little different after using her Sheila ultimate too. Mirage is also getting a bug fix where his decoys will make footsteps again, after players complained that they didn’t. Some players have actually viewed this change as a buff, but we’ll have to wait and see. Not even legend will receive a bug fix, buff, or nerf, however. Only Bangalore, Bloodhound, Caustic, Crypto, Horizon, Loba, Rampart, Revenant, and Wraith will be tweaked in some way. If you want to check out the full patch notes for the Fight Night event, you can do so here. Otherwise, the full list of bug fixes are listed below. Apex Legends Fight Night bug fixes Bloodhound Fixed an issue with Bloodhound’s UI disappearing after interacting with Horizon’s Tactical. – Wraith Fixed an issue with Wraith’s Portals getting destroyed by the Trident. – Bangalore Fixed an issue with Bangalore’s missile passing through hatch doors when they are closed in Worlds Edge. – Mirage Fixed an issue with Mirage’s decoys not making footstep sounds. – Crypto Fixed an issue with Hack consuming two Vault keys if two keys were in Crypto’s inventory. – Fixed an issue with Hack getting stuck within the Trident when deployed as a passenger and the trident is on a ramp. – Revenant Fixed an issue causing other players to teleport with Revenant if they punch Revenant when he has very little health. – Fixed an issue that didn’t allow Revenant to deploy the Death Totem while on the Trident. – Loba Fixed a lot of windows in World’s Edge that prevented Loba’s bracelet from passing through. – Rampart Fixed an issue that allowed Rampart to place Sheila while in the Phase Runner. – Fix an issue where UI elements stayed on screen after using Sheila. – Horizon Fixed an issue with Horizon’s abilities not affecting Lifeline’s DOC and Crypto’s drone. –

  • Apex Legends bug fixes coming in future updates: Game logic, crashing, Switch issues – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug fixes coming in future updates: Game logic, crashing, Switch issues Respawn/EARespawn Entertainment are currently working on addressing a whole host of bugs in Apex Legends ahead of Season 9, looking into a few that have plagued Season 8. Some of these bugs have been minuscule things like a skin not displaying in-game, while others have been bigger – things like Legend abilities not working correctly or constant crashing. Each new update brings a whole host of changes, and with Season 9 not too far off away in the future, plenty of big changes will be coming as the devs look to address issues that have been plaguing Season 8. Currently, according to their public Trello board, Respawn are looking into eight major bugs that are currently affecting Apex Legends. These include issues where players have reported invisible players, players who use cross-play being unable to hear each other in matches, as well as problems with the servers being slow and being unable to log-in. Additionally, there are a few issues listed that pertain solely to the Nintendo Switch version of the battle royale. These include problems purchasing items from the eShop as well as not being able to finish the training portion of things thanks to an issue with Lifeline’s ultimate. Apex bug fixes being working on Players cannot log-in – Increased reports of slo-mo servers – Error appears in lobby when browsing event shop or challenges – Issue with ‘No Fill’ option (no teammates on your squad) – Increased reports of invisible players – Players cannot hear each other in cross-play lobbies – Switch: Players cannot finish training due to Lifeline’s Ultimate malfunctioning – Switch: Issues with eShop – Other, smaller issues could be being worked on in the background too. Respawn lists plenty of problems on Trello, but not all of them get on there. Some are just addressed in a quick hotfix. Some of the issues listed above are pretty big and could take some time to address. Though, they could also be deployed by hotfixes in the meantime. If not, it’s likely that they’ll be listed in the Season 9 patch notes before that goes live in early May.

Infuriating Apex Legends bug is deleting ranked progress in Season 10 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players are raging as an infuriating bug appears to be deleting Ranked Leagues progress in Season 10. Respawn Entertainment’s latest season of Apex Legends has ushered the game into an interesting era. Arenas is popping off and elevating the quality of competitive competition like never before. Players are pushing the boundaries of the skill ceiling. Every hour spent in Kings Canyon gives way to a miraculous discovery. • Apex Legends bug gives Caustic unlimited Nox Gas Traps – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug gives Caustic unlimited Nox Gas Traps Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have a new reason to fear the game’s Toxic Trapper after a new clip shows how a new glitch is producing an unlimited amount of Nox Gas Traps for players to abuse. The battle royale genre was taken by storm when Apex Legends dropped on February 4, but the game has since been plagued with mounting problems with hitboxes, strange bugs, and problematic servers. It’s been a slow path to recovery for Apex Legends after its meteoric rise upon release. As fans are eagerly awaiting Season 2 and all the enhances it’ll bring, there are some problematic bugs that are still popping up from time to time. The Toxic Trapper is really living up to his name with this insane Apex Legends bug. In a Reddit post, user ‘antipostalobsta’ stumbled onto the bug which let them create toxic chaos, forcing a team to get stuck between a rock and a Nox place. The clips shows the Apex player going mad with the newfound power they’d discovered, as they can be seen throwing trap after trap that slowly made the entire scene hazy with a deep green filter. It seems like the bug opened up a new tactic for antipostalobsta to use, as it looks like they were starting to build a wall of Gas Traps to block the path of the incoming squad. As one can see in the lower left side of the video, the Tactical Ability icon for the Now Gas Traps seems to reset with every use. Normally Caustic can give three tanks out, but it looks like the game is recognizing there are at least two already in play, but still awards an extra trap. Caustic mains are going wild with unlimited Gas Traps It looks like some players have cracked the code on how to replicate the Caustic bug, which could make it easier for the Respawn Entertainment team to implement a fix for in the future. “Get 3 traps, throw them all, Get your ult and 3 more traps,” user ‘khgmutt’ said. “Spam heals (even if you’re not hurt). Spam traps. It will hesitate after the third trap sets up… Keep spamming.” The Caustic bug can be used to create huge plums of inescapable Nox Gas. The user went on to say that there can only be six “untriggered” traps at a time, but as soon as they bloom the game will let the player place more. This seems like one of those bugs that Respawn Entertainment will want to fix as soon as possible, seeing how players will easily find ways to abuse the glitch.

  • Apex Legends bug with Caustic keeps vault doors permanently locked – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug with Caustic keeps vault doors permanently locked RespawnAn Apex Legends player has uncovered a way to keep the doors on World’s Edge new loot vaults permanently locked, with the help of a simple Caustic trick. After weeks of waiting, Apex Legends season three launched on October 1 and transported players to a brand new map – World’s Edge. No longer able to play on Kings Canyon, players have had to get to grips with their new surroundings, which has added some new features when it comes to looting. One such feature has been the train that circles parts of the map and has loot bins on-board – including a few secrets ones. There is also the vault rooms that require a hard to find key to unlock, but offer some juicy rewards once you’re inside. But, some players have uncovered a way to keep everyone out – even if they do manage to have a key. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user Jondeerus showcased a video from a recent game where they were using Caustic on World’s Edge. The Redditor, who had a vault key, instead opted to experiment with the Legend’s Nox Gas Trap. Jondeerus looked for the perfect spot on the door to trigger the ability, so that it spawned directly behind the door instead of outside. Once they had, they laid it down and began opening the locked door. As they tried repeatedly to swing it open, the door didn’t budge as the Nox Gas Trap sat directly behind it – causing it to close, then open, and close over and over again. Despite the dastardly behavior, some fans pointed out that there must be a way to get rid of the trap in order to get inside. “If a trap can go through you can probably throw a nade in as well. Just pop the trap before opening the door,” added user Jocthearies. Considering the trouble that goes into getting the door open in the first place, it’s probably unlikely that the Respawn dev team intended for it to be possible to keep them locked. While they are active on the subreddit, they haven’t responded to the post yet, so it remains to be seen if they have a reason for it happening or a way to fix it if it’s a bug.

  • Apex Legends bug brings back classic World’s Edge — but there’s a catch – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug brings back classic World’s Edge — but there’s a catch Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players discovered a bug that lets them visit the first iteration of the World’s Edge map, but unfortunately, players can’t explore it for long. Many players consider World’s Edge the best map that Apex Legends has to offer thanks to great places of interest and varied environments. Though many have largely enjoyed the changes Respawn introduced to World’s Edge since its release, some want to see the first iteration of World’s Edge come back to the map rotation. While not exactly what players were expecting, an Apex Legend player has found a bug that lets you see “Classic World’s Edge,” but only by flying out of bounds. Apex Legends bug brings back classic World’s Edge An Apex Legends subreddit user named ‘Lucyan96‘ posted a video of the bug where they play as Crypto and drop off the map at the start of the game. Lucyan96 drops off the south side of the map just before The Dome POI and flies along the cliffside into the lava. However, instead of dying out of bounds as would normally happen, they continue straight past the lava underneath World’s Edge. After a bit of time, they are able to see the full layout of the original World’s Edge reflected underneath the current version, albeit with strange graphical glitches abound. Eventually, Lucyan96 isn’t able to fly any further down and is essentially stuck looking at this reflected version of the old World’s Edge map. It’s unclear how they get out of this bug due to the video’s short length. Regardless, players interested in recreating this glitch should do so at their own risk, especially if they’re playing Ranked. After all, Respawn usually doesn’t take kindly to players abusing exploits to win games. Though the first iteration of World’s Edge probably isn’t coming back to Apex Legends for some time, it’s interesting to know that it hasn’t really left in a strange sort of way.

  • Apex Legends bug breaks Octane’s double jump in the worst way – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug breaks Octane’s double jump in the worst way Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends bug in Season 6 is breaking Octane’s double jump, giving the character an infinite amount of extra hops that actually keeps him grounded to the map more than anything. After using the Adrenaline Junkie’s Launch Pad ultimate ability, there are times when the game can glitch that prevents players from getting a complete double jump off. The bug can randomly affect Octane’s jumps, which repeats the issue once it is encountered. Normally, when the character uses one, they’ll have a prompt to press the jump key again to get a second leap in mid-air. There are unique sound bites accompanied by using the ultimate that can be heard while the glitch is activated. Like user ‘Fish_Smell_Bad’ showcased in their clip, when the bug comes online there seems to be an indefinite amount of double jumps that can be ‘activated’ but not necessarily used. “This bug only happens sometimes when you take a pad, but other players can not see it,” they wrote. “It’s new in S6 and very annoying but not too game breaking. And to my knowledge it has nothing to do with ping.” Debunking the bug’s connection to ping was prompted by other users linking the glitch to server issues or the like. Although some believe that the problem stems from an initial disruption with packet loss while using a Launch Pad. “I’ve noticed it happens when you go jump as you hit the pad while there’s a bit of packet loss. Nothing to do with ping,” one user wrote. I’m posting this here because someone else posted about the same bug but with very wrong information. This bug only happens sometimes when you take a pad, but other player can not see it. It’s new in S6 and very annoying but not too game breaking. And to my knowledge it has nothing to do with ping. byu/Fish_Smell_Bad inapexlegends In the clip, every time the person goes for the jump and activates the bug, a connection issue icon can be seen in the top right of the HUD. Additionally, the presence of the glitch could put Octane players in an awkward predicament with their teammates since Fish_Smell_Bad’s squad said that they couldn’t hear the bugged sound queues. Clearly this is something that could really disrupt a match, and it would be something that Respawn could look into if it starts to affect more Octane players who have to contend with the bug at random.

  • Apex Legends bug makes Bangalore’s ult Rolling Thunder “a joke” – Dexerto

Apex Legends bug makes Bangalore’s ult Rolling Thunder “a joke” Respawn EntertainmentCharacters in Apex Legends bring fully decked out ability kits to a squad that are extremely crucial for staying competitive in fights, but major bugs with Bangalore’s Rolling Thunder is making her a liability to take into King’s Canyon. Respawn Entertainment’s roster for their battle royale features Legends who specialize in everything from intel-gathering and creating defensive strongholds to tracking down hostiles and pushing the offensive. But every character also carries powerful Ultimate Abilities that can quickly change the tide of any firefight. That is of course, if the ultimates used by the player is able to register its effects in game. In a Reddit post, user ‘sticky_thighs’ showed how he expertly dodged the effects of a missile from a Bangalore’s Rolling Thunder by doing absolutely nothing at all. Playing as Bloodhound, they can be seen healing behind cover with a missile from the ultimate embedded into the ground at the foot of where they’re positioned at. But as the player started up his Med Kit, the explosion that followed right after neither hurt or debilitated the Bloodhound. This allowed the player to both finish their heal while also taking absolutely no damage. While the video just shows the ineffectiveness of the Rolling Thunder projectile, it’s still a bit unclear why nothing seemed to happen to the player. Even though there could be a couple of explanations for this occurrence that doesn’t involve the presence of a bug, it still doesn’t bode well for the character’s state. “Her ult is not supposed to do damage,” one user said. “That’s the difference between Bangalore and Gibraltar. Gibraltars ult does damage. Bangalore’s ult is supposed to help her and her team to safely close the distance to the enemy… Apex is too fast paced for Bangs ult though. Before you used that to get somewhere, the enemy is already somewhere entirely else… It shouldn’t have such a big delay.” Whether it’s a crucial bug that needs to be amended or a clear sign that her ultimate needs a tune-up, Apex Legends players think Bangalore’s Rolling Thunder definitely needs to improve.

  • Apex Legends buffs would make Lifeline’s passive and abilities practical – Dexerto

Apex Legends buffs would make Lifeline’s passive and abilities practical Respawn EntertainmentLifeline has always been a top choice to include in an Apex Legends team composition, but her abilities, while helpful, leave some wondering if vast improvements could be made to make them even more useful. As her name suggests, Lifeline is a Legend who’s aimed at keeping her team healthy with high-tier loot, quick revives, or some extra HP. Those abilities, however, can leave players exposed to the very dangers they’re trying to escape, even when used correctly. It’s because of those issues that some players are taking it upon themselves to figure out the best ways to give the hero’s kit a buff so that there aren’t inherent consequences with using her. People like Reddit user ‘NizzyDeniro’ have crafted interesting buffs that would let the Combat Medic be more effective in her role as the team’s healer. First off, a change to her passive, revamping its name to ‘Surgery,’ would give revived teammates a six-second heal that would replenish 50% of their health. As a healer, this makes a ton of sense. Too many times has a Lifeline picked up a teammate just so that a lack of heals makes them a vulnerable target once again. Furthermore, a buff to D.O.C.’s shield after picking up a downed teammate would keep the droid’s defenses activates for four seconds after the revive is complete. The idea is to “give Lifeline a sort of disengage” after picking up a downed player, so as to not immediately be taken by the attacking team. Keeping in line with safe heals, the player also suggested to give Lifeline the ability to toss her D.O.C. in case she can’t exactly make it to the low-HP player. There could be tons of outplay potential there, seeing as a Lifeline can toss D.O.C. indicating that someone there is low on health, just to spring a trap on them. Finally, an updated Revive animation rounds out the list of creative buff, but the whole package was really well-received by the Apex community – with loremaster ‘frozenfroh’ even pitching in illustrated concepts to bring the buffs to life. In either case, players feel like her kit could use an upgrade to make it feel more competitive and impactful in a team.

  • All Apex Legends Season 9 Legend buffs & nerfs: Loba, Horizon, Lifeline, more – Dexerto

All Apex Legends Season 9 Legend buffs & nerfs: Loba, Horizon, Lifeline, more Respawn EntertainmentThe full patch notes for Apex Legends Season 9: Legacy are here, and as expected, several of the game’s characters have been adjusted to either improve or reduce their effectiveness: Lifeline, Octane, Loba, Horizon, Fuse, Bangalore, Bloodhound, and Crypto. There’s tons of anticipation among Apex Legends players for the launch of Legacy on May 4, as it’s set to include tons of new content and several major changes to various aspects of the game. As is usually the case with the first major update of a new season, there are going to be numerous buffs and nerfs implemented to several Legends – eight to be exact. All of the details of these Legend changes can be found below. All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 9 update Octane: Changes to Stim & Launch Pad The developers have noted that Octane might be performing “too well” since the latest series of changes the character received, so this update will be making changes to both the Stim and Launch Pad with hopes of balancing those abilities. Stim: Reduced cooldown between stims from 4s to 1s. Increased health cost from 12hp to 20hp. – Increased bullet spread while in the air and shooting from the low Launch Pad trajectory. – This was bound to be a controversial one ever since the developers confirmed that they were planning on nerfing Octane’s stim tactical, but they did also give it a small buff to counteract this. The plan is to “increasing the health cost for his Stim” but balance it by “letting you stim again much sooner.” The current plan is to take 20 damage from Octane’s stim, rather than only 12. But the cooldown will be reduced to only 1 second, and regen speed will remain the same. This will make using Octane’s stim a more dangerous decision, as you’ll need to balance the tradeoff between health and speed. Lifeline: Changes to Combat Revive, Heal Drone, & Care Package The Season 9 update will be making major changes to all three of Lifeline’s main set of abilities: Combat Revive: No longer deploys a shield. Can now revive two players at the same time. Can now cancel active revives in progress to allow your teammate to defend themselves with their knockdown shield. – D.O.C. Heal Drone: Heal rate increased from 5hp per second to 8hp per second. Deployment time before healing begins reduced by roughly 33%. – Care Package: Cooldown reduced from 6 minutes to 5 minutes. Now guarantees an upgrade (if possible) in three categories: Body Shield, Other Equipment (Helmet, Backpack, and Knockdown Shield), and Weapon Attachment, based on your team’s current gear when the Package arrives. – Lifeline’s res shield is gone in Season 9. This is obviously a big downside, but there are some buffs too. Healing from Lifeline’s Doc Drone will be 60% faster, and the Care Package will be given a big buff, guaranteeing an upgrade, in addition to a shorter cooldown. According to the devs, the Legend’s ability kit was “not in a particularly healthy place,” as the shield was becoming an “extremely strong point of frustration” while the Care Package and Heal Drone were “becoming more and more obsolete.” Loba: Changes to Bracelet & Ultimate Loba mains had been begging for some improvements to her kit since she was first released, and, Season 9 will finally be that time. Respawn had already confirmed that Loba would move at full speed “while it’s in the air” and “no slow down when you arrive.” On top of this, the bracelet will now be much more reliable. The bad news, though, is that Respawn have also nerfed Loba’s ultimate slightly, adding another 30 seconds to the cooldown. Here are the exact changes: Burglar’s Best Friend: Can now run and slide at full speed while aiming the bracelet and while the bracelet is in the air. Loba will no longer be slowed after translocating. – Fixed a lot of bugs that caused bracelet tosses to fail. – Black Market Boutique: Increased cooldown from 90s to 120s. – Horizon: Gravity Lift nerfed Thanks to Game Designer Daniel Klein, we already knew that Horizon was in line to receive a pretty substantial nerf in Season 9, and now that’s been confirmed in the official patch notes. Gravity Lift: Reduced lift speed by 30%. Reduced side-to-side acceleration. Limited the time you can sit at the top of Gravity Lift to 2 seconds. Increased cooldown from 15s to 20s. – Horizon’s abilities will now get zapped by Wattson pylons. – Horizon has been getting cut back constantly after she released very strong. Nerfs in almost every subsequent update, to both her tactical and her ultimate, haven’t been enough to drop her out of the top spot as a Legend. However, according to the developers’ note in the patch notes, this nerf isn’t because of her popularity or powerful nature, but rather to make Horizon’s mistakes more punishable. These changes make it “much more possible” for enemies to shoot at the Legend as she sits in her Gravity Lift, and make the ability “less of an impromptu sniper tower.” Fuse: Knucle Cluster buffed It was pretty obvious that Fuse would be getting some sort of buff after the developers revealed that he has the lowest win rate across all skill levels. Knuckle Cluster: Fuse now has two stacks of Knuckle Cluster. Reduced cooldown from 25s to 20s. – The main change is to his tactical, Knuckle Cluster, which has two charges now, and the cooldown for one charge is only 18 seconds (reduced from 25 seconds). The damage is the same, but with two charges, you could say it’s been doubled. Respawn noted that they “want to be very careful with how we buff him,” while also confirming that further buffs would be on the way once they can assess the impact this specific change has on the Legend. Bloodhound: Eye of the Allfather nerfed The Bloodhound change in this update is relatively minor in terms of the Legend’s in-game impact; players will no longer receiver assists from using the Eye of the Allfather ability. This adjustment is more so to balance out the implications that assists have in Ranked play – since Bloodhound’s scan is already so strong, it may have become too much for the ability to also provide valuable assists for Ranked Points. Crypto: Changes to Drone With the nerf to Bloodhound’s scan, Crypto will now remain the only Legend who can get assists for non-damaging abilities. That said, however, the Season 9 update is making changes to his drone: Crypto’s drone can now scan and open care packages. – Can no longer use his drone to “hijack” a respawn beacon that’s already in use. – Bangalore: Smoke thickened Bangalore’s Smoke Launcher is receiving a change that will make the smoke thicker. However, this isn’t really a buff or nerf, per se, since Respawn are simply trying to get the smoke back to the original visuals after a recent update accidentally thinned out the particles while trying to optimize them. Low Profile removed in Apex Legends Season 9 Since we’re on the topic of changes to Legends in Season 9, it’s important to note that the Low Profile ability is being removed from Wraith, Lifeline, and Wattson in the Legacy update. “After our successful experiment with Wraith’s hitboxes, we are now confident that we can solve balance issues between smaller and larger Legends through changes to their kits and hitboxes,” the devs wrote in the patch notes. There you have it, all of the Legend buffs and nerfs coming in the Season 9 update. For more information about everything else that’s changing, make sure to check out our Apex Legends Legacy patch notes here.

  • Apex Legends buffs & nerfs in Season 19: Catalyst, Bangalore, Wraith, more – Dexerto

Apex Legends buffs & nerfs in Season 19: Catalyst, Bangalore, Wraith, more Respawn EntertainmentWith Season 19 of Apex Legends, Respawn is targeting Legends in what they call the “can’t see sh*t” meta with nerfs to Catalyst and Bangalore, and buffs to a few other Legends. Here are all the buffs and nerfs coming in the new season. Season 19 of Apex Legends will return to regularly scheduled programming with a new Legend joining the games: Conduit. But, while a new Legend is always exciting, changes to the existing Legends can be just as impactful on the game’s overall meta. Specifically, Respawn said they want to deal with the “can’t see sh*t” meta that has developed in Apex – which makes a change from the scan meta at least. With that in mind, Catalyst and Bangalore are the focus of these updates. Legend nerfs in Season 19 of Apex Catalyst Starting with Catalyst, who has become one of the go-to picks in ALGS and Ranked, Respawn have nerfed both her Tactical and Ult. Piercing Spikes Core no longer blocks projectiles, allowing bullets to pass through – Max in-world count reduced to 2 (was 3) – Throw range decreased by about 50% – – Dark Veil Cooldown now starts after the wall comes down – Reduced lifetime to 25s (was 30s) – – Bangalore Next up is Bangalore, who is getting small but not insignificant nerfs to all three of her abilities. Double Time: reduced duration to 2s (was 3s) – Smoke Launcher: smoke lifetime reduced to 18s (was 23s) – Rolling Thunder: stun duration reduced to 6s (was 8s) – Revenant Ultimate: Time extension window reduced from 30 seconds to 3 seconds – Legend buffs in Season 19 of Apex Moving on to some buffs, these include Wraith, Vantage, and Pathfinder. Wraith Passive: reduced look time required to trigger (feels more reliable/consistent) – Pathfinder Insider Knowledge: can now scan Care Packages after allies have already scanned them – Vantage Max bullets in Ultimate increased to 6 from 5 – Newcastle Castle wall: Increase to max leap height, faster recovery time on landing – These are all the Legend changes that Respawn has confirmed for Season 19. You can check out the full patch notes here.

  • Apex Legends buffs and nerfs in Evolution Collection event update – Dexerto

Apex Legends buffs and nerfs in Evolution Collection event update Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends Evolution Collection event patch notes are here and there’s plenty of tweaks and balance changes hitting the game’s weapons and characters like Bloodhound, Octane, Revenant, and Rampart. There’s plenty of reasons to look forward to the Evolution Collection event considering the return of classic Apex skins like Caustic’s Necrosis as well as a brand-new heirloom for Rampart. All of that aside, Respawn are also bringing a ton of balance changes to weapons and Legends that should help out struggling characters and items that could use a buff. Check out the full Evolution Collection event patch notes here. All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Evolution Collection update Rampart: Sheila buff The devs are giving Rampart a huge gameplay change now that her ultimate ability, Sheila, can now be used while walking. While there are trade-offs, like the spin-up taking longer and being limited to one magazine, Respawn wanted to give Apex’s defensive option some more agency in her ability kit. Rampart will now be able to run around with Sheila out, and shoot while walking. The spin up is longer, and she only gets 1 magazine in this mode. – Once Sheila is out, you can put it away and pull it back out until you run out of ammo (or hit the cooldown time). – At any point, you can still place Sheila down for your teammates to use. Once placed, it has infinite reloads and acts just like the previous version. You cannot pick it back up. – Revenant: Totem visibility The Red Doom of Apex has been left largely untouched this time around, but the devs gave his ultimate, Death Totem, a much needed VFX upgrade. Now players will be able to spot the totem much quicker since it has a pulsating effect that Respawn likened to Loba’s ult placement. VFX (similar to the pulse on Loba ult placement) added to increase visibility for when a totem is placed nearby. – Octane: Nerfs to jumps and stim Apex’s daredevil is getting a bit more grounded after the Evolution Collection patch lands. Namely, the distance he gets from horizontal Jump Pad leaps is getting dialed back. Meanwhile the regen he gets from Stims is getting reduced to keep the Adrenaline Junkie at bay. Reduced jump pad horizontal distance by 10% – 15%. – Reduced the rate of Octane’s Stim regen from 1.5 to 1.0 hp/sec. – Bloodhound: Tracker timer Bloodhound’s passive is invaluable for their team, and communicating crucial clues that comes out of it just got better. When Bloodhound pings a clue from their passive, it will now show their teammates in quickchat how long ago the event took place – All weapon buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Evolution Collection update Bocek Compound Bow: nerf and buff The Bocek has been falling out of favor since its strong debut, but Respawn are slightly tinkering with it to make it a bit more enticing for mid-game inventories. Draw speed slightly reduced from 0.56 to 0.54 – Arrows per brick increased from 14 to 16 – Arrows per inventory stack increased from 28 to 32 – Hemlok: buff, slight revert Respawn reduced the hipfire’s effectiveness a few seasons ago, but now they want to bring it back up. The aim is to make the Hemlok more consistent, so it’ll be interesting if players start to pick it up again. Reduced hipfire spread – Hipfire resets slightly faster – Shatter Caps buff: Bocek & 30-30 Repeater Shatter Caps are in a healthy spot, but there’s still something about them that can make it feel “a little punishing to swap into the mode.” That’s why Respawn are slightly buffing the Hop-Up to where they feel like a more even trade-off when switching to them. Bocek Draw speed slightly reduced from 0.56 to 0.54 – Arrows per brick increased from 14 to 16 – Arrows per inventory stack increased from 28 to 32 – Repeater Damage per pellet increased across all draw strengths – Short draw damage: 4 to 6 – Medium draw: 7 to 9 – Full draw: 11 to 12 – L-Star: Balance nerf The L-Star has been a strong pick in Season 10, but it’s going to get slightly nerfed to balance out its power. Should it need more adjustments, Respawn will be keeping a close eye on the L-Star’s performance since there are changes to both the Battle Royale mode and Arenas. Cool-off time slightly increased – Overheat lens replacement time slightly increased – Rounds before overheat reduced at base and all Energy Magazine tiers Base: 22 to 20 – White: 24 to 22 – Blue: 26 to 24 – Purple/Gold: 28 to 26 – – Arenas price adjustments: Base: 500 to 600 – Blue: 300 to 250 – Purple: 400 to 350 – – Shotguns Both the Mozambique and Eva-8 are getting some small tweaks to give players a reason to tinker with other Shotguns. Rea As such, there isn’t a ton of changes, just slight balances to make the weapon class much more even. Mozambique & Eva-8 EVA-8 and Mozambique headshot damage multiplier reduced from 1.5 to 1.25 bringing it in line with the Peacekeeper and Mastiff. – Triple Take ADS charge time decreased from 1.0 to 0.8 – That’s a wrap for all the weapon and Legend changes in the Apex Legend Evolution Collection event patch notes. Respawn are going to monitor these changes and will make the necessary hotfixes, if needed, after the patch update lands on September 14.

  • Apex Legends buffs & nerfs coming in Raiders Collection Event: Seer, Wattson, more – Dexerto

Apex Legends buffs & nerfs coming in Raiders Collection Event: Seer, Wattson, more Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Raiders Collection Event patch notes revealed a slate of balance changes coming to the game including buffs and nerfs for Seer and Wattson. Respawn Entertainment showed off everything coming in their holiday update landing on December 7, which will look to refine everything from Legends to the game’s Arc Stars. This time around, the balance changes won’t result in a sweeping change to the meta like previous patches. Instead, Respawn are making slight improvements where they see fit as they evaluate the ‘reveal’ meta for a future update. Take a look at the complete Raiders Collection Event patch notes that also include a look at upcoming features and modes coming to Apex. All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Raiders Collection Event update Major Wattson fixes Other than finally releasing Wattson’s heirloom in the next patch, Respawn are going to introduce a bevy of patches that will address major issues with the Static Defender’s kit. There are no traditional buffs or nerfs to her but Wattson mains will surely appreciate fixes for fence ‘sticking’ and player collision issues with her Perimeter Security nodes. Wattson: Fixed the issue with fences “sticking” when trying to place a node near a fence. – Wattson: Fixed bug for cases where Wattson’s Fence nodes ignored player collision. – Wattson: Fixed bug with the blueprint line not showing up to signify where the fence will be created. – Wattson: Fixed issue where Caustic’s Ultimate isn’t zapped by the Interception Pylon. – Wattson: Fixed bug where Arc Stars could stick to and damage the Interception Pylon – The devs are also cleaning up problems with her Interception Pylon ultimate ability that wouldn’t work as intended against Caustic’s ultimate or Arc Stars. Seer reveal buffs Seer and more Recon Legends are going to be heavily scrutinized by Respawn soon but, until then, the devs are making the Ambush Artist’s tactical more fluid. His Focus of Attention is getting a decrease to the time it takes for the blast to emit its reveal from 1.6 seconds down to 1.4. Read more: Apex Legends 2022 Anniversary event – This will just let the ability pop slightly quicker so that teams can have more time to react to the info. It’s not the biggest buff for Seer but we’ll see how much he and other ‘scan’ Legends get overhauled soon. Arc Star sticks and non-stick balances Respawn are still tinkering with Arc Stars and how they affect opponents in order to find a balance between its high-damage output and counterplay. Base stick damage took a hit from 30 down to 10. This will be coupled with an increase to the Shield Damage Multiplier from x3 to x4, capping out at 40 damage per Arc Star stick. The studio also reverted the Legacy update change to Arc Stars and will once again apply a slow debuff to people who you stick. Non-stick Arc Stars’ slow duration will be based on the distance an opponent was to the center of the explosion. You’ll be slowed the closer you are to the detonation. Splatter Rounds and Crafting changes Respawn are happy with Big Maude’s loadouts but the devs think that the paintball weapons are a tad too strong in the meta. Read more: Apex Legends Winter Express 2021 – To rectify this, they’re simple removed the increased magazine capacity that will keep the weapons’ power intact but without as many bullets. Meanwhile, Respawn are limiting how much shotgun ammo, sniper ammo, and arrow players can craft by reducing its output to just a single stack. That’s a wrap for all the weapon and Legend changes in the Apex Legends Raiders Collection event patch notes. Respawn are going to monitor these changes and will make the necessary hotfixes, if needed, after the patch update lands on December 7.

  • Apex Legends buff idea gives Bangalore’s Smokes mid-air detonations – Dexerto

Apex Legends buff idea gives Bangalore’s Smokes mid-air detonations Respawn EntertainmentA fan-made Apex Legends buff could be a great start to give Bangalore’s tactical ability, her Smoke Launcher, a bit more flexibility by adding a nifty mid-air detonation mechanic. Despite a cult following, Bangalore is far from the best character in Apex Legends. Her abilities don’t really stack up to some of the game’s new offerings, with her smokes being rendered useless by all the Recon abilities flying around. However, a neat change to her tactical ability could give her an extra way to use her Smoke Launcher, and some players argue it’s a much-needed quality of life update. By shooting a smoke into mid-air, as Reddit user rsk_jp’s concept shows, a player would be able to reactivate the ability while it’s in the air to split the projectile and make it plume on that area. This wouldn’t necessarily make the Legend’s ability stronger, instead, it would simply open up the capabilities of where her smokes could be deployed. The Smoke Launcher buff would even give players a way to expand the veil of gas by detonating the tactical at certain distances, providing for even more ways of using the ability. Bangalore players were praising the idea since the buff would finally give the ability some use against opponents at higher elevations. “I’m a Bang main and I was honestly looking for some change with her kit just like this,” one user said. “This would make a huge difference in Ranked or areas where the enemies have high ground.” If a team is ambushed by an enemy squad from high above, the Professional Soldier would only be able to smoke around her, which wouldn’t provide much cover. But with the proposed change, Bangalore players would have a lot more ways to stay alive. Even with the change, however, Apex players agreed that Respawn Entertainment needs to find a way to give Bangalore’s smokes more utility to at least counter the scan meta. Though this change wouldn’t go as far as to protect her from Bloodhound’s scan, it would give Apex Legends players a new way to use her lackluster kit.

  • Apex Legends buff idea for Octane would give him an explosive change – Dexerto

Apex Legends buff idea for Octane would give him an explosive change Respawn EntertainmentOne Octane main has devised a simple buff for the Adrenaline Junkie, which would see him launched into the upper echelons of the Apex Legends character pool. With Season 8 now well underway, players are figuring themselves out in the new POIs and meta. While the focus is on eccentric Aussie Fuse, other characters are always getting changes too. One of these is Octane, the Adrenaline Junkie originally added back in Season 1. While Octane is certainly not dwindling around the bottom tiers of Apex Legends characters, it’s hard to argue he is anything more than a solid option in the game’s current meta. As such, fans of the speedster have been considering buff options in the event Respawn look to strengthen him. One Redditor – ‘Toad_R’ – has done just that, suggesting an improvement to Octane’s jump pads that has proved immensely popular with fans. The suggestion would give Octane players the option to rig their Launch Pad to explode when used by an enemy. However, this option would only be available to Octanes if they were also carrying a grenade, something they lose in the act of rigging the Launch Pad. Read More: Locked and Loaded mode could be permanent – The player explains: “If rigged, you lose that grenade, but you throw a ‘rigged jump-pad’. You and your teammates can use it as normal, but if an enemy tries to use it, the Pad blows up in the process, giving the jump boost but causing damage and being destroyed afterwards.” There was also justification given, with the player stating that, in their opinion, it fits with Octane’s character, improves the versatility of his Launch Pad, and reduces the likelihood of enemies giving chase if an Octane has attempted a speedy escape. Unfortunately, Respawn’s Lead Game Designer on Apex, Daniel Klein, responded to ask why Octane would need a buff given his current state. After all, his jump pad was given some major changes in the Season 8 update already. As previously mentioned, Octane is far from the best legend in the game, but he remains clear of some of its weaker options like Rampart. It’s fair to assume that Respawn will look to buff the weakest before turning their attention to Octane.

  • Simple Apex Legends buff could make Gibraltar and Caustic more viable – Dexerto

Simple Apex Legends buff could make Gibraltar and Caustic more viable Respawn EntertainmentCharacters like Gibraltar and Caustic in Apex Legends are starting to fall behind in use throughout King’s Canyon, but a simple buff would go a long way to making them more fit for the battlefield. Respawn Entertainment launched Apex Legends with eight unique characters while adding Octane in the March 19 update. But as the game grows, it seems Legends with large hitboxes are being left on the sidelines more often than not. In a Reddit post, user ‘TerminaV’ suggested giving larger characters a special trait called “Momentous Momentum” which would prevent a slow from being shot that perfectly compliments their design. Characters like Octane and Wraith are fast, nimble and have smaller hitboxes that make their competitive edge pretty straightforward. But their larger counterparts in the game like Gibraltar are slower, have larger hitboxes and no discernible advantage to bring to the battleground. TerminaV noted that giving larger Legends haven’t been accordingly changed to suit players’ needs in the battle royale, so might as well give them something new to help raise them up. “If damage reduction and just giving them more health, or buffing the shit out of their legend abilities isn’t the answer,” TerminaV said. “Then try giving big rig legends a universal passive that makes them immune to being slowed when hit by bullets (to balance out the fact that they’re easier to hit).” Other commenters immediately agreed with the idea, seeing as it would be a great compliment to the larger Legends’ obvious weakness while still making sense in the overall game. “This is a fantastic idea,” Reddit user SyntaxError9998 said. “This actually makes a lot of sense, they’re big so they just power through, and since they aren’t slowed they aren’t spending more time taking damage.” Many other users implored Respawn Entertainment to take note of the idea to at least try out something in a similar vein, so as to finally reinforce Apex Legends’ bigger figures to some degree.

  • Apex Legends buff concept would make Lifeline’s Ultimate strongest in the game – Dexerto

Apex Legends buff concept would make Lifeline’s Ultimate strongest in the game Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player has devised an overhaul for Lifeline’s Care Package, which would see the Combat Medic’s Ultimate reach a new realm of strength in Season 12. Lifeline has long been a consistent pick in Apex Legends. One of the game’s base legends, her healing capabilities have been trusted by a fair number of players since it dropped way back in 2019. That remains the case in Season 12, with Lifeline sitting on a respectable pick rate of 5%, putting her as the seventh most popular legend overall. There is a camp in the Apex community who think she needs a buff, with some arguing her actual abilities are not that strong. On that note, one Apex player has devised an overhaul for the Combat Medic’s Ultimate Ability – her Care Package that deploys equipment and medical gear to players. Currently, Care Packages drop with 3 item slots: one is a weapon attachment, one is a healing item and one is a piece of wearable equipment. However, Redditor ‘dvtheall’ has proposed an update wherein Lifeline’s Care Package would include a host of unique red items, only attainable through her Ultimate Ability. First is the red Knockdown Shield, which would give players a full dome shield with increased health. Second is a red Shield Cell, which gives 25 health points instantly and adds 75 more over time. Finally, there’s the red syringe, which operates as the Shield Cell, albeit boosting a player’s health rather than shield. Plenty of fans (and Lifeline mains) were in favor of the idea, throwing their weight behind it in the form of upvotes. At the time of writing it has over 750 upvotes, suggesting a lot of players are open to the idea of Lifeline essentially getting exclusive medical/protective gear. Some, though, did suggest Lifeline would be too strong with the Care Package overhaul. As ever, it’s ultimately on Respawn to make the call and implement any changes.

  • Apex Legends Broken Moon map glitch completely breaks Octane’s Jump Pad – Dexerto

Apex Legends Broken Moon map glitch completely breaks Octane’s Jump Pad Electronic ArtsDuring a match on the new Broken Moon map, an Apex Legends player discovered a glitch that breaks Octane’s jump pad. Developer Respawn Entertainment unleashed Season 15 of Apex Legends last week, inviting players to take part in a whole host of fresh content. The latest seasonal update added the aforementioned Broken Moon map and Catalyst as a playable character. It also brought cosmetic sticker items into the mix, specifically for healing items. As of now, however, the high costs of sticker packs have left a bad taste in the mouths of many players. Several bugs have also plagued Season 15 since its launch, with issues ranging from sound errors to premature heirloom unlocks. Apex Legends fan finds Broken Moon glitch at the worst time In a post on Reddit, Ok-Chocolate-5313 shared footage of a disappointing discovery in Apex Legends. It seems that due to a bug, Octane’s Jump Pad won’t function properly on the Broken Moon map. This issue as demonstrated in the video specifically takes place on a set of stairs. As such, it’s presently unclear if the glitch applies to the Jump Pad’s’ placement on, say, a flat surface. What really ruffled the Redditor’s feathers was the way in which they learned about Apex Legends’ Broken Moon glitch – by getting killed a few seconds later. Not everyone in the Reddit thread is sympathetic to their plight, though. One person argued the player shouldn’t have stood still after realizing the Jump Pad wouldn’t work. The original poster attributed this to the act of managing their recording settings, which explains why Octane’s Heat Shield randomly activates near the end – tabbing out also launches Heat Shield. Specifics aside, this is one Reddit PSA that Octane mains will want to consider next time they’re running around Apex’s Broken Moon locale.

  • Apex Legends player makes bizarre map change request for Broken Moon – Dexerto

Apex Legends player makes bizarre map change request for Broken Moon Electronic ArtsAfter exploring the recently released Broken Moon map, one Apex Legends player has put forth a bizarre question about the level design. Respawn added the Broken Moon locale to Apex earlier this month, alongside the launch of Season 15: Eclipse. The terrain of the habitable moon environment is nothing short of extraordinary. Compiled of everything from lush gardens and a wharf to rocky bases and expansive production yards. But in scouring the map’s varied points of interest, one Apex Legends player found themselves asking one critical question: “Where are the toilets?” Broken Moon raises questions about sanitation in Apex Legends Reddit user Hero_Sandwich has found toilets on several Apex Legends maps, including King’s Canyon and Olympus. For some reason, though, the player hasn’t seen the object represented on Broken Moon, an oddity that has them wondering how the moon’s inhabitants get rid of bodily wastes. But for all their searching, it’s possible the player simply missed the toilets on Broken Moon. A few other Redditors chimed in to say they’ve previously spotted toilets on the map, specifically in the “very rectangular two-story houses,” someone said. Apparently, it’s a memorable sight to see, too, since these particular lavatories sit behind glass doors that everyone can look into. Regardless of its sanitation situation, Broken Moon has won over many an Apex Legends player, so far. But there are those who don’t care for the Promenade POI, as its open design and invisible walls can prove frustrating at best. In addition to the new map, Apex Legends’ Season 15 update also ushered in another playable hero – Catalyst. Like Broken Moon, this defensive character boasts plenty of layers for users to explore.

  • Apex Legends: Broken ‘invisible wall’ glitch found on Supply Ships – Dexerto

Apex Legends: Broken ‘invisible wall’ glitch found on Supply Ships Respawn EntertainmentA baffling Apex Legends bug on the Supply Ship looks to shielding players with an “invisible wall,” making it near impossible to finish off opponents on the other side of it. Apex Legends was an instant hit when Respawn Entertainment launched the title on February 4, but the game has since been the source of a lot of frustration partly due to the frequent bugs occurring throughout King’s Canyon. A hotbed of glitches and issues in the game seem to revolve around one of the map’s moving parts, the Supply Ship, and the latest entry to the list of bugs is catching some players off-guard for all the wrong reasons. In a Reddit clip, user ‘wlssilva’ and their squad were in a close engagement with another team. With both teams crippled and battered, wlssilva was going in to clean up the remains of the opposing players. With a Peacekeeper in tow, wlssilva had found an enemy Pathfinder out in the open reviving a downed teammate. After their first shot went wide, wlssilva properly lined up his next two shots but a hit had yet to register. The clip goes on to show a series of tilting instances where wlssilva should have dealt at least three killing blows but none had landed on their mark. What could be causing the glitch? Even though he was aiming at a Pathfinder and Octane, two Legends who have been involved in numerous hit reg issues, it looks like there seems to be an invisible object preventing bullets to go through from one side. The clip ends with the Redditor being shot at and dying from the players who seemed untouchable just moments prior. “There’s an invisible wall there that you can’t shoot into,” Reddit user ‘ManakinSkywalker7459’ said. “But can shoot out of (up to the edge of supply ship, not beyond).” While some of wlssilva clearly missed their mark throughout the clip, there were many more shots that should have at least clipped a player for some damage. The Supply Ship is a popular area to stock up on some of the more valuable loot, but it seems like the amount of bugs tagged along with it might not make it a worthwhile detour to take.

  • Apex Legends brings back Three Strikes LTM because everyone loved it so much – Dexerto

Apex Legends brings back Three Strikes LTM because everyone loved it so much Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment is feeling the holiday cheer, as the studio announced the return of the Three Strikes LTM to Apex Legends. The beginning of November brought the biggest crossover in Apex Legends history in the form of the Apex Legends x Post Malone event. Over the course of two weeks, Post Malone’s creativity bled into Apex Legends. Unique cosmetics flooded the in-game shop, Twitch Drops rewarded viewers with cool trinkets, and a new mode, Three Strikes, took Apex Legends by storm. Typically, when an event ends, everything related to said event goes back into the vault. However, Respawn’s feeling the holiday cheer with Three Strikes makes its return for a limited time. Three Strikes LTM returns to Apex Legends for a limited time Three Strikes features a different spin on the normal battle royale formula. As the name implies, your squad gets three strikes before they’re eliminated for good. It’s very hectic and fast-paced, as your team will respawn with full gear one POI over from where they were killed. Fan feedback on the mode was overwhelmingly positive, with every corner of Apex Legends sharing how fun the mode was. As mentioned, the end of the event saw everything it brought put back into the content dungeon. That is, until Respawn announced on Twitter/X the mode would be coming back for an extended limited-time run. Of course, everyone loved the announcement of Three Strikes’ return to Apex Legends. Fan love showered in from a multitude of players, although amidst the love, many stated it should be a permanent mode. Time will tell if Respawn will submit to those requests. Maybe iiTzTimmy can convince Post Malone to be the voice of the people, yet again, and plead with Respawn to make it happen. For now, hop into Apex Legend’s Three Strikes mode when it arrives on November 23 presumably at 10 am PT / 1 pm EST / 6 pm GMT, which is when updates usually go live.

  • Olympus map changes in Apex Legends Season 12: New POIs, more – Dexerto

Olympus map changes in Apex Legends Season 12: New POIs, more Respawn EntertainmentOlympus returns to Apex Legends, overhauled for Season 12 Defiance, so here’s everything you need to know about the sabotaged map. As Apex Legends continues to progress, players have experienced grandiose new maps such as the tropical Storm Point and World’s Edge. Olympus first appeared in Apex Legends back in Season 7 and was an instant hit with casual and hardcore players alike. Now after being absent from the game since the start of Season 11, it’s finally time to drop back into this incredible location. But this time around, there will be some changes. Phase Driver The Phase Runner on Olympus has malfunctioned, almost resulting in its collision with the city below. This event has also caused randomly spawned objects stuck in the phase to be littered throughout this POI. The Phase Driver POI is located in the newly expanded South side of the map. Its a large, circular shaped POI with an open environment around the center device. This creates various combat situations, so it’s not too hard to get into interesting fights after dropping. Players can also interact with the new Phase Driver. Upon activation, 3 loot rollers will phase in. Also, at least 1 Gold-Tiered ball is guaranteed each activation and there will be a 45 second cooldown before it can be activated again. Terminal According to Respawn, “Terminal is a large interior POI that acts as a new central routing area for the map. With 5 entry points and exterior elevated platforms, Terminal’s presence and effect on the surrounding area will change the way players flow and engage in the open areas around Labs and Bonsai Plaza.” Terminal serves as a opening that keeps engagements flowing when rotations are being made, while also being open enough to spot teams wanting to third party. Shifted Grounds With the introduction of the new Phase Driver and its related components, Olympus needed to expand. As a result, a new piece of terrain has been added on Olympus’s south side. Pre-existing areas of Solar Array, Icarus and Bonsai Plaza have all been shifted to accommodate this new expansion. New North East Path To limit the amount of chokepoints and create a smoother flow of gameplay, Respawn has added a new hallway entry point in the North East of Olympus, where Turbine connects to Rift. More Small Additions In addition to these Olympus map changes, Respawn has also added many minor tweaks and additions throughout the map which were detailed in their blog post. Some of these additions include: Zip lines and other props around the map to help non-mobile players get out of sticky chokes and up to elevated areas better – Some unfair elevated areas that were only accessible to mobile characters have been removed or blocked off, such as the crane arm to the South West of Rift. – 4 additional lootbins to Oasis on the East side of the POI to introduce a new landing/looting route and alleviate some of the issues of everyone landing at the same 3 spots to loot at this POI – So – that’s everything you need to know about the Olympus map changes coming to Apex Legends Season 12, which will arrive on February 8, 2022.

  • Apex Legends breaks Fortnite’s viewership record on Twitch – Dexerto

Apex Legends breaks Fortnite’s viewership record on Twitch Epic Games / Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends has broken Fortnite’s viewership record for most hours watched on Twitch during a single day. The record was smashed on the same day as the Twitch Rivals competition on February 12, which featured streamers battling against each other on Respawn’s new battle royale game. Twitch Rivals was the first Apex Legends tournament to take place since the shooter was released on February 4. It put streamers head to head against each other to see who could nab the most kills or wins in an allotted amount of time. With hundreds of thousands of fans watching their favorite streamers such as Ninja, shroud and Dr Disrespect battle it out on their channels, Apex Legends managed to hit 8.28 million hours watched, beating Fortnite’s record of 6.6 million during the second week of the Summer Skirmish. Fortnite’s single greatest day of viewership came July 20 during the second week of the Summer Skirmish, but Apex Legends beat it on the very first day of its inaugural esports competition. Apex Legends’ viewership was spread across numerous streamers like shroud, Dr Disrespect, bnans, LIRIK, Ninja, and more, which only added to the amount of hours watched. Shroud led the pack of popular streamers as he recorded about one million hours watched from an insane peak concurrent viewership of 140,000 while playing Apex Legends. Read more: How to watch Dr Disrespect’s first Code Red Apex Legends tournament – Stream, format and more – Shroud’s numbers were logged from around 6.8 hours of play. Apex Legends has certainly hit the ground running, and after a record-breaking first day as an esport, players can expect the numbers to grow.

  • Apex Legend’s Breakout season accidentally launches early on PS5 & breaks game – Dexerto

Apex Legend’s Breakout season accidentally launches early on PS5 & breaks game RespawnThe newest season of Apex Legends, Breakout, just accidentally launched early on PS5, breaking the game for players by preventing access to the title. There’s nothing more exciting than a brand-new season arriving in Apex Legends. A new season means either map changes, a new legend, a new weapon, or just something fresh to spice up the ever-popular battle royale. Apex Legend’s Breakout is the newest season to refresh the game, including a promotion that will see new legends become free to play over the season. Players can then permanently unlock these legends by completing a set of challenges. Alongside this, Breakout introduces a revamped form of crafting, with Replicators now being completely free of charge, but becoming a single use for each player. With all the new changes arriving imminently, players have been eager to hop in and give it a go. However, it seems that PS5 may have jumped the gun a bit, with Breakout hitting the console earlier than it was supposed to. Because of this, PS5 players have now been completely locked out of the game. New Apex Legends season hits PS5 early and breaks the game Developers Respawn are aware of the issue, pushing out a statement on Twitter explaining that the issue would automatically resolve when the season actually launches on February 13. “We’re aware some PS5 Apex players are seeing Breakout early and cannot currently access the game. We apologize for the inconvenience, and this will resolve itself tomorrow when the season launches at approximately 10 am PT.” Since some PS5 players are stuck in Breakout early, it means they can’t even revert back to the current season, essentially locking them out of the game for the time being. There is a workaround for this problem, however, with players needing to download the PS4 version of the game instead. However, if you’re not willing to swap over to the PS4 version temporarily, anyone affected by this issue will have to wait until Breakout fully launches.

  • Apex Legends boycott talks build as players slam game-breaking issues in Season 13 – Dexerto

Apex Legends boycott talks build as players slam game-breaking issues in Season 13 Respawn EntertainmentSome Apex Legends players are trying to organize a boycott day over the ‘game-breaking’ issues cropping up during Season 13, though that may be harder than they think. Apex Legends has seen its fair share of issues since Season 13 began on May 10. From server lag issues to hit-reg glitches with characters like Wraith, players are growing increasingly frustrated with the current state of Apex Legends. Now, some members of the Apex Legends subreddit are attempting to organize a boycott over these recent issues, though many commenters claim they are wasting their time. Apex Legends players attempt boycott The post on the Apex Legends subreddit came from user ‘LaughingPrince‘ who asked if the community could organize a specific day when they would all “strike.” “Hear me out guys! Apex runs pretty poorly and all the Apex subreddit [is] just a mix of Xbox input lag, audio issues, not being able to log in, hit regs, invincible Wraith, Loba bracelet not working…Maybe just maybe if we could all pick one day to not log on EA and Respawn will have an oh s**t moment.” Despite complaints from Xbox players over serious input lag on the Series X version of Apex for over a week, there has not been official word from Respawn when the issue will get resolved. The post gained plenty of traction in just under 24 hours, gathering nearly 4,000 upvotes and almost 800 comments. LaughingPrince is not the only player on board with the idea, as others like user ‘Dear-Gas-3714‘ said they planned on “just finishing my battle pass then I’m probably taking a long break.” Though, not all players share a similar sentiment, as user ‘Acts-Of-Disgust‘ said, “You gotta be real delusional if you think a boycott is gonna do anything at all. This place is such a small portion of the overall community that Respawn/EA wouldn’t even notice if all 2.1 million members stopped playing for a day or even a week.” Plenty of comments on the post agree with Acts-Of-Disgust’s logic, saying there is no way the community could organize a large enough strike to make an impact, and that similar attempts to boycott Apex have failed in the past. Though Respawn likely won’t notice if this boycott does come to fruition, it’s clear that a lot of Apex Legends players are not happy with the current state of the battle royale.

  • Apex Legends bots spotted “ratting for XP” in pubs to level up accounts – Dexerto

Apex Legends bots spotted “ratting for XP” in pubs to level up accounts Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players have started spotting more and more XP bots in their matches, often found in big groups standing together in the corner of a map. When discussing the biggest issues facing Apex Legends, cheating and the use of third-party software will always be a topic the community raises. This is because it directly affects a player’s gameplay experience and takes the competitive integrity out of Respawn’s battle royale, especially in Ranked. However, a problem that often goes under the radar is XP bots as they’re not considered overly harmful. Usually, these scripts will just land a Legend into the map and occasionally melee or shoot to ensure they’re not kicked from a game. Despite this, recently a lot more of them have been spotted and if their numbers continue to rise, it could ruin the balance and flow of matches. XP bot farms spotted in Apex Legends matches During a pubs match, Reddit user Metaphysical ran into four default skin Lifeline’s punching a wall in a group. Despite firing at them and knocking all of them down, none of the enemies fought back or moved. As expected, this left Metaphysical confused, but it turns out the foes were not real players, just bots farming XP to level up accounts. As explained by another user, “they’re illicit bots ratting for XP so whoever’s running the bot farm can sell the account on the off-chance an heirloom drops in their free packs.” The reason the Lifelines were meleeing was to avoid them from getting kicked from the match, allowing the bots to gain the maximum amount of XP. While it’s possible the bot farm is attempting to unlock an Heirloom, it’s also likely they’re being boosted up to level 20 to play Ranked. Following this, accounts are boosted to a desired rank and then sold off to someone who doesn’t want to earn the RP on their own. Although XP bots do not affect gameplay and often result in a set of free kills to the player that finds them, they still disrupt the balance and flow of a match. It’ll be interesting to see if Respawn cracks down on them in the future, or whether they’d prefer to focus on improving the anti-cheat and eradicating hackers.

  • Apex Legends botches return of its best event for Halloween – Dexerto

Apex Legends botches return of its best event for Halloween Respawn EntertainmentThe new Halloween event in Apex Legends has been bogged down by so a number of factors, leaving fans disappointed with the fan-favorite occasion this time around. Apex Legends has an incredible track record with seasonal events – from the inaugural Halloween event Fight or Fright, to the winter-themed Holo-Day Bash, Apex has brought something new and exciting to the table every year. While these shakeups from the norm are usually well-received, this year’s Monsters Within event has been put under the community’s microscope after several unpopular decisions by Respawn. Spanning from the system of unlocking skins in the event, down to the Shadow Royale Limited Time Mode only being available for a single week, players have had plenty to gripe about this time around. Problems with Apex Legends’ Shadow Royale LTM For many players, the alternate game modes associated with seasonal events are the highlight of the season. This year’s event sees the return of Shadow Royale – a mode that allows players who have been eliminated from the game to support their squad as a ghostly apparition. While in this form, players can’t shoot any weapons or use equipment, but they can hunt down enemy players via increased movement speed, melee attack damage, and the ability to bust through doors. Though the mode is functioning as intended, many members of the community were let down by the discovery that it would only be in the game for one week of the event, instead of being available throughout the whole thing, a choice that has been drawn an overwhelmingly negative reaction from the playerbase. “They really just didn’t seem to care about this event,” one user said on Reddit. Another added: “Also why the f**k has shadow royal only been available this week?” Another downside, depending on the player, is that it’s Shadow Royale – as opposed to Shadowfall. The latter, from the original Fight or Fright event, is preferred by many players, mainly because it is a solo experience rather than squad based. There’s also the issue of the Event challenges for week three of Monsters Within. Players expected to see goals that they could achieve in Shadow Royale during its brief stay in the game, but instead have been met with nine tiers of Arena-based tasks to complete. Apex player u/Sleepy151 points out that the Arena challenges aren’t bad, but that the problem lies in directing traffic away from the Limited Time Mode: “I’ve never really been opposed to the arenas challenges…but having a non-LTM related challenge the one week we get an LTM is incompetent, to say the least.” On top of this, when the Monsters Event started, players were giving daily challenges to complete in Shadow Royale – despite the mode not being available for two weeks yet. Respawn has been active in responding to player feedback throughout this season, but whether or not they’ll address the reception of this event remains to be seen.

  • Apex Legends “bot” exposed for boosting levels in Arenas – Dexerto

Apex Legends “bot” exposed for boosting levels in Arenas Respawn EntertainmentArenas isn’t the most popular game mode in Apex Legends, and it’s at the point where “bots” have been spotted running around in the mode to boost the level on their account. Arenas has been in Apex Legends for a while now, and the game mode hasn’t gained a whole lot of traction since its release. Some players have even rated it “0/10” as a game mode. The community sentiment for the current state of arenas hasn’t been particularly great as of late, with a recent post accusing Apex Legends devs of abandoning the mode gaining some traction on reddit. Now, it seems that some players have figured out how to dodge AFK detection and put “bots” in the mode purely to grind for levels on their account. Apex Legends bots found in Arena mode Hitting level 20 to access ranked requires quite a bit of time for players, making it more difficult for smurf accounts to make their way into competitive matchmaking. Along with the other reasons you’d want to level up your account for the per-level rewards, bots have been spotted in Arenas that are trying to grind out levels to get access to ranked games. While it’s hard to confirm that these players are bots, it’s a pretty safe assumption that the Bangalore jumping around and interacting with nothing isn’t a real player. Commenters on this post pointed out that this is likely a smurf or cheater leveling out an account to play ranked with a macro set up to avoid automatic AFK detection from the game. Arenas is of particular note because it not only gives more XP for when you’re dying and doing nothing, it also doesn’t attach players to each other upon dropping and lacks long periods of downtime like the typical BR mode. A player using a bot is a bit harder to spot and report in Arenas.

  • Apex Legends boosters get ultimate justice after cheating for kills badge – Dexerto

Apex Legends boosters get ultimate justice after cheating for kills badge Respawn EntertainmentAfter realizing a set of Apex Legends players were boosting on the edge of the map, a squad decided to take action themselves and prevent them from getting the kill badge. Some of the hardest milestones to reach in Apex Legends are the exclusive badges that require players to hit a certain amount of kills or damage in a single match. When it comes to kills, the most difficult of these badges to acquire is the 20 kill badge, which can take even the most skilled Apex Legends players countless matches to unlock. While some members of the community are willing to put in the effort, others prefer to cheat and take a shortcut by unfairly boosting in a match. Well, one squad saw a set of players boosting on the edge of the map and decided to take justice into their own hands, eliminating them before they had a chance to unlock the badge. Apex players stop boosters from unlocking kill badge During the middle of a match on March 16, Reddit user Benjibeamz and their squad used a Valkyrie Ultimate to reposition to a better location in the ring. However, after rocketing up into the sky, Valk picked up a large group of players on her UAV Passive outside the ring on the edge of the map. Benjibeamz and the rest of their squad immediately knew the players were boosting for badges and decided to take action and eliminate them from the match. After diving down onto the location, each of the boosters were standing in pairs, clearly taking it in turns to rack up kills. Benjibeamz quickly dispatched every single one of them and made sure they didn’t get the badge after the match. Unlike hacking or DDoSing, it’s difficult for Respawn to punish boosting as it doesn’t get picked up on the anti-cheat, so suspensions usually have to be handed out manually. As a result, a lot of boosting goes under the radar, and countless players use the method to unlock badges they haven’t earned. That’s why it’s so impressive to see Apex players taking action against these cheaters on their own, and making it harder for them to get their hands on the badges.

  • Apex Legends boosters get served ultimate justice while farming damage badges – Dexerto

Apex Legends boosters get served ultimate justice while farming damage badges Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player discovered a set of teams farming damage badges on Olympus and decided to serve up some justice of their own. While heirlooms and cosmetics are prized by dedicated Apex Legends players, it’s the damage and kills badges that a lot of the community are constantly on the hunt for. These collectible trophies can be shown off on a player’s banner to prove that they’ve hit a certain amount of damage or eliminations in a single match. As the highest badge requires a total of 20 kills, this can take some players years to unlock. Unfortunately, certain members of the community prefer to take a shortcut and cheat by grouping up with their friends. Well, during one match, an Apex player noticed a group of teams doing exactly that, and they decided to serve up justice and prevent them from unlocking the sought-after collectibles. Apex player catches boosters farming badges Unlike hackers, boosters are extremely difficult for Respawn to punish as there’s no third-party software involved, so it usually requires a manual suspension. While this does happen occasionally, a lot of damage and kill farmers go under the radar. So, when Reddit user XxTherealXBladexX caught a team boosting for badges, they decided to take action. Using Fuse’s Passive to its limit, XxTherealXBladexX led with their Ultimate and then followed up with a barrage of 19 grenades, dealing massive damage and causing the cheaters to scatter. With a little help from their team, XxTherealXBladexX cleared out both squads and prevented them from unlocking the badges. While the justice served up in the clip doesn’t result in a ban for the opponents, it does waste a lot of their time and forces them to retry or give up boosting. Not only that, it’s great to see players recognizing cheating in their matches and taking action, especially against those who haven’t earnt the collectibles they’re attempting to unlock.

  • New Apex Legends weapon Bocek Bow for Season 9: Damage, Ammo, Hop-ups – Dexerto

New Apex Legends weapon Bocek Bow for Season 9: Damage, Ammo, Hop-ups Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment have revealed their new weapon for Apex Legends Season 9, and after plenty of rumors, we’ll finally be able to get our hands on a bow in the Legacy update. With each new Apex Legends season, Respawn Entertainment adds a new Legend and plenty of other content to their popular battle royale. That usually includes a new weapon too. Only two seasons, Apex season five and seven, didn’t give players a new weapon to wield, and rumors suggested that season nine was going to follow suit as well. However, now Respawn have confirmed that new season, known as Legacy, will be bringing a new weapon to the Apex Games, and it’s one we’ve heard about for quite some time – a bow. Bocek Bow in Apex Legends That’s right, the long-awaited Compound Bow that was leaked a few seasons back is finally coming to Apex. It’s not actually called a Compound Bow, though, as its in-game name is the Bocek Bow. Read More: How Arenas works in Apex Legends – “A powerful and deadly weapon, for those with the skill to wield it. Capable of inflicting tremendous damage at medium range, you’ll need to make each shot count.” And they’re not kidding. The bow can equip all optics excluding sniper optics, and is capable of equipping two new Hop-ups at the same time to make it extra deadly. Bocek Bow Damage Head: 123 fully drawn. – Body: 70 fully drawn. – Body: 30 if fired when not fully drawn. – Bocek Bow: Hop-ups It doesn’t end there, though. The bow can also be equipped with Shatter Caps and Deadeye’s Tempo Hop-ups to pack some extra punch. Deadeye’s Tempo: Firing at the perfect moment increases fire rate – Shatter Caps: Rounds split into a blast pattern on firing – Shatter Caps are very interesting, as they allow the bow to become more viable at close range. The downside is that you won’t be able to pick up arrows you’ve fired if you use this hop up. You can toggle both hop-ups on or off at any time. For full details on these, check out our Apex Season 9 Hop-up breakdown right here. Bocek Bow Ammo type The bow will, unsurprisingly, use a new ammo type: Arrows. Arrow loot is very scarce on the map though, so you’ll probably have to rely on picking up arrows you’ve fired to keep well-stocked. If you kill an enemy with the bow, the arrows used will be in their deathbox. In addition to the bow, Respawn have revealed some of the other content coming in Season 9 as well. The legend will be Valkyrie, rather the previously leaked name of Valk. There will also be some changes to the Olympus map as it’s been overrun by an infestation. Apex fans will be able to experience everything that’s new on May 4 when the new season starts.
