  • Apex Legends adding new Quickdraw hop-up in Season 7 – Dexerto

Apex Legends adding new Quickdraw hop-up in Season 7 Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment are adding a new hop-up called Quickdraw for Apex Legends Season 7: Ascension, and it’s going to give a massive buff to the popular Wingman and RE-45 pistols. [jwplayer Do3m9qnp] The Apex devs already have enough content coming in Season 7 to hold players over until the new year. With the launch of a new Legend, Horizon, as well as the introduction of Olympus, the game’s community have lots to enjoy within the Ascension update. With the new season comes a change in the available hop-ups found throughout the Apex Arena. While some attachments could be on their way out of the loot pool, early access to creators like ‘Kandyrew’ revealed that the devs will be adding a new item to the loot pool in Ascension. Quickdraw Hop-Up The new Quickdraw attachment is going to give run-and-gunners something to love by increasing the speed it takes to aim down sights (ADS) for when you really need it. Meanwhile, the accuracy of unscoped shots is going to get better, which will be especially pertinent for the full-auto RE-45. Of course, this will also help the Wingman finish off short-to-mid range opponents, but players might appreciate the ADS buff a bit more for the revolver. Finally, and quite obviously, the Quickdraw hop-up is going to let people “draw the weapon faster, whether switching from another gun or pulling out a weapon after running unarmed.” The full list of Quickdraw buffs: Better hipfire accuracy – Faster drawtime – Faster ADS – (Segment begins at 8:56) This will be the first time the RE-45 will receive a new hop-up for the first time in over a year. The fully automatic pistol used to benefit from the Disruptor Rounds before that was taken out of the game at the start of Season 3 in October of 2019. The Wingman already has the Skullpiercer Rifling attachment for players to use, making the Quickdraw a worthwhile alternative for people that prefer improved draw-time and ADS speed over an increased headshot multiplier. Experimentation with the hop-up will be key to unlocking its fullest potential, so be on the lookout for play-styles to emerge as Apex Legends players get to know Season 7’s new Quickdraw attachment.

Defiance will be the latest season of Apex Legends when it drops in February, bringing along fascinating new Legends and more to the shores of Storm Point. Many speculated it would arrive within seasons since then but the mode was never revealed, until now.Season 12 of Apex Legends will also bring a new Legend to the game in the form of the highly anticipated Maggie. Maggie first appeared in Apex Legends back in Season 8 as an announcer and has grown throughout the game’s lore ever since. • Apex Legends actor reveals Bloodhound’s voice pre-edit – Dexerto

Apex Legends actor reveals Bloodhound’s voice pre-edit Respawn EntertainmentWith the recent arrival of Season 7, Apex Legends fans are jumping into Olympus with all of their favorite Legends. One voice actor of the non-binary Bloodhound recently shared what they sound like prior to vocal edits. Arriving alongside the launch of Apex Legends back in 2019, Bloodhound was one of the first Legends available for players to utilize in matches. Billed as a legendary hunter, this Technological Tracker is the first non-binary character in the hit battle royale. As the Apex seasons have progressed, the character has become increasingly powerful and seen their popularity grown. So, in a peek behind the scenes, the voice actor behind Bloodhound has revealed how they sound before Respawn adds a few tweaks to make it sound as it does now. The voice behind the mask In a recent post to their TikTok account, voice actor Allegra Clark shared a clip of what the voice lines she records sound like prior to editing. Stating that “what I do is only part of the vocal performance,” Clark details that a cool gas-mask vocal effect also pitches down her voice about two steps. While the direction Allegra was originally given was that of an “androgynous, badass place,” she then goes on to share what Bloodhound’s iconic voice sounds like pre-editing. With a stark contrast to her regular voice, Clark’s vocal modulation and Icelandic/Old Norse accent instantly show off that recognizable cadence they have with their iconic lines. The fans react Shared on Reddit by IIIlandist, fans have been reacting to the non-binary character’s lines being heard without the filter. One commenter stated: “when she said Mozambique here I felt that,” with another adding, “when she said Mozambique here I died.” Fans of the character were excited to hear how their vocal performance came about and seeing the effort of production that goes into creating the Legend. It’s incredibly interesting seeing behind the scenes information regarding voice work and the like. This clip shared by Clark is no exception.

  • Apex Legends’ Ace explains why controller players have higher skill floor – Dexerto

Apex Legends’ Ace explains why controller players have higher skill floor via Top10 Esports / Respawn EntertainmentNRG Apex Legends pro player Brandon ‘Ace’ Winn explained the inherent pitfalls that come with using a keyboard and mouse as well as a controller, comparing the skill ceilings and floors that the peripherals provide for players. FPS and battle royale players have a long-standing debate on the pros and cons of using keyboard and mouse as opposed to a controller; some people consider both as viable options while others outright bash on the one they don’t use. With the upcoming launch of the Apex Global Series (AGS), controller players like Jack ‘NiceWigg’ Martin and others are making the switch to keyboard and mouse since the league will be played on PC. But pros still get asked by casual fans on which peripheral would be better for aiming, improving as a player, and the like. There’s ample room for discussion of the topic, but Ace gave a good summary of what opinions generally boil down to. When asked if it’s easier to aim with keyboard and mouse on his Jan 21 stream, the pro gave a certain context to the limitations and allowances that both offer. “Keyboard and mouse has a higher skill ceiling but a lower skill floor,” Ace explained. “You’re going to be worse, if you’re really bad but you can be very, very f***king sick.” It’s true that keyboard and mouse gives players a certain freedom with their aim and micro-movements that can lend itself to finding a style of play that suits them. That allowance gives good players unlimited potential to approach the game, but keyboard and mouse can be unforgiving for someone who’s struggling to grasp the basic concepts. “While on a controller, the skill floor is higher because you have aim assist, but the skill ceiling is lower because you’re restricted via your movement,” Ace said. The NRG star touched on aim assist’s effect on the skill floor; it lets players perfect other facets of their game like their positioning and rotations in a fight since the actual shooting is partially covered with the built-in system. While that could be beneficial in firefights, when it comes to looting and on-the-fly decisions, the limitations of a controller are going to hold players back. NiceWigg expressed similar sentiments on December 18 when controller players were making the switch to PC shortly after the AGS announcement, saying that while aim assist does “help you in close range gunfights” there are hurdles that PC players don’t have to contend with. https://twitter.com/NiceWigg/status/1207408761758834688?ref_src=twsrctfwtwcamptweetembedtwterm1207408761758834688&ref_url=httpswww.dexerto.comapex-legendsapex-legends-pro-nicewigg-explains-why-controller-players-deserve-more-respect-1302341 “[Controller players] have to overcome so many disadvantages — we can’t move while looting, we can’t choose our heals while moving, our creativity is hindered by our movement,” he said. Keyboard and mouse are going to be used with all AGS players soon, but that could bring up more insight from the pros on the difference between controllers and KBM.

  • Apex Legends pro Ace bamboozles team using sly Wraith trick – Dexerto

Apex Legends pro Ace bamboozles team using sly Wraith trick NRG pro Brandon ‘Apex Legends playstyle, but the streamer also showed off a bit of craft by bamboozling a duo with Wraith. The Duo playlist is one of Respawn Entertainment’s most popular limited-time modes to hit servers. Every movement and decision could carry strong repercussions without the support of a third teammate in this new mode. With that in mind, players like Ace have been feasting in the new mode by using their creative approach to the Apex Games, throwing off other players and leading to quick kills. Ace breaking ankles in Apex Legends During his November 10 stream, Ace was navigating the chaos of the early game as Wraith on the Train Yard. After taking out a duo, they were immediately engaged on by another pair of players looking to capitalize on the previous fight. The attacking squad managed to take out Ace’s teammate, leaving the pro in a dodgy 1v2 situation. This forced him to get a bit tricky with the fight. Seeing as he was on the back foot, the player decided it was time to take his leave by activating the character’s Into the Void Tactical ability to get out of the pinch. But instead of committing to the escape, the pro player instead hopped off the building’s ledge only do a 180-degree turn to climb up the exterior wall. Shrouded by the Void’s temporary disguise, his stalling tactic gave him just enough time to make the other players think that he committed to falling off the building – when he was actually splitting the duo for a simpler fight. “I just snapped that fool’s ankles bro,” Ace said after half of the duo jumped off the building, leaving the other enemy alone. Without skipping a beat, Ace managed to quickly down one player as the second enemy realized the deception too late. Then it was a simple matter of a 1v1, which Ace easily won using a combination of the Longbow to break the enemy’s shield and a barrage of bullets with the R-99 to take out the duo. Ace and his NRG squad are coming off of a decisive win at TwitchCon San Diego’s Apex tournament, taking home $60,000 for the org. With EA launching an Apex competitive gaming program sometime in the future, its good to see Ace in form for 2020’s inevitable campaign.

  • Apex Legends accidentally nerfed Mirage in a big way in Season 22 – Dexerto

Apex Legends accidentally nerfed Mirage in a big way in Season 22 Respawn EntertainmentMirage has been nerfed in a pretty big way in Apex Legends Season 22, and it’s all thanks to the new health bars that you see above enemies. Over the last few years, plenty of Apex Legends fans have called for a game-changing update to address some massive issues in the battle royale. Well, Season 22 has gone some way in scratching that itch. On top of getting a new map – E-District – the seasonal update has also seen aim assist finally being nerfed, as well as a rework of some legend abilities. Crypto is able to go invisible now and fully off the grid when using his drone, for example. Even though Mirage wasn’t officially touched in the new patch, his Life of the Party ultimate has been silently nerfed. Why? Well, its because of the new Battle Sense health bars that appear above players. As JHallballer0 showcased, when Mirage pops his ultimate and joins a band of decoys, the real one will be given away by the health bar. Shooting the fake Mirages will see them disappear, but he’s now much easier to identify. He “sticks out like a sore thumb,” according to the player. “I’m not even a Mirage main nor do I even like to fight a good one during his ult but that’s absolutely wack,” one fan said. “Yet another reason why Battle Sense is a terrible feature,” another added. Some argued that it doesn’t need addressing as it falls in line with how Mirage has always been. “Why does the health bar matter, the damage numbers that have existed since launch day also tell you which one’s real” one asked. “It would make sense that they didn’t add the health bar to the decoys because they are fake,” another argued. It remains to be seen if Respawn will address it themselves in any way.

Watch new Apex Legends Stories from the Outlands for Pathfinder: Fight Night Respawn EntertainmentAhead of the next Apex Legends Collection Event, Fight Night, fans can look forward to a new entry in the Stories from the Outlands series. Fight Night reveals more about Pathfinder’s backstory ahead of the upcoming event. The latest was all about Horizon, before she was added as the newest Legend in Season 7. Next up though, it’s all about a character that has been there since day one: Pathfinder. We already know that he’ll be the focus of the upcoming Fight Night event, getting his own Town Takeover, but we’re also getting some lore too. On December 23, Apex Legends’ official website updated with a new blog post, detailing an upcoming Stories from the Outlands: Fight Night. After the Stories from the Outlands episode premiers, it should be about a week until the Fight Night Collection event starts, likely on Tuesday, January 5. It’s been a bad week generally for leaks coming from Respawn’s official channels, after the trailer for the event itself was also found on Twitter early.

  • Apex Legends ability idea would make Rampart the ultimate camper – Dexerto

Apex Legends ability idea would make Rampart the ultimate camper Respawn/EA[jwplayer ePrNLj8A]An Apex Legends player has got an interesting concept that would change Rampart’s current passive ability and help her become the ultimate late game camper. After plenty of speculation, Rampart finally joined Apex Legends’ roster of character with the Season 6 update – with her abilities certainly being a change from the way Respawn usually does thing. As a result, you can regularly find Rampart, her Sheila minigun ultimate, and her amped cover throughout both Kings Canyon and World’s Edge, but players have been begging for a buff of some kind. Respawn have not yet confirmed if the legend will be receiving a boost at some point, but that hasn’t stopped players takings things into their own hands by devising a few interesting buffs – including one for her passive. The idea comes from Reddit user NakolStudios, who suggests that the modder could tap into her creative side by changing out the additional ammo and magazine sizes from her current passive for the ability to repair and modify doors. Yes, you read that right, repair and modify doors. The idea would be that if Rampart upgrades a door on a building, it could withstand more damage than normal from melee attacks or grenades. Combined with her amped cover, this could make the legend pretty difficult to displace if she and her teammates are cooped up in a building. While the idea is pretty interesting, and certainly something some fans might want to see, Rampart is more of a modder than a carpenter – so it might just be a touch out of her wheelhouse. Respawn have also previously stated that they are unable to flat out copy fan ideas so if they wanted to use the idea, they’d have to tweak it in some way – so you’d probably end up with something pretty different anyway.

  • Apex Legends Abilities Guide – How long does it take for each Legend to charge their Tactical and Ultimate abilities? – Dexerto

Apex Legends Abilities Guide – How long does it take for each Legend to charge their Tactical and Ultimate abilities? One of the most important aspects of Apex Legends are the various Legends characters that player can choose to play as in matches. Every Legend has his or her own share of unique abilities and characteristics, allowing each one to affect the game and contribute to their team in a different way. To be successful in Apex Legends, players need to make sure they are familiar and comfortable with at least a few Legends, that way their teams can have a full set of Legends that compliment each other at all times. With this in mind, Reddit user ‘ThrillGame‘ has posted a chart detailing the statistics of each Legend’s Passive, Tactical, and Ultimate abilities. The stats noted in the chart include the effect, duration, charge time, charges, cooldown, and damage of each ability, as they apply, as well as any other measurements that may be specific to certain abilities. As far as comparing the stats goes, the Legend that has the fastest charge time for his or her Ultimate Ability is Pathfinder, as 90 seconds. The Legend that takes the longest to charge up their Ultimate is the Lifeline, who can call in a care package every 360 seconds. The Mirage, Pathfinder, Wraith, and Gibraltar Legends all have the lowest cooldown time for their respective Tactical Abilities – 15 seconds. Meanwhile, the Legend with the longest cooldown for their Tactical is, one again, the Lifeline, who takes 60 seconds to reload her heal drone. The chart is remarkably useful and offers players a good source of very detailed information pertaining to all of the Legends and their three abilities. As for how these stats were collected, the creator credits fellow Reddit user ‘Anuiran’ for providing him with the data-mined files. Also make sure to check out our Apex Legends tier list to see which Legends are best to use and why. From what you see in the chart above, which Legends do you think are most worth using? • Apex Legends gives fans a taste of the 8-bit life – and we want more – Dexerto

Apex Legends gives fans a taste of the 8-bit life – and we want more The creativity of the Apex Legends community continues to know no bounds as one fan created an 8-bit ‘demake,’ and it looks so amazing that we’re a little sad it’s not a real thing. Apex Legends released in February 2019, but that hasn’t stopped this fan from showing what it would have looked like if it released 30 years earlier on the original Game Boy. While Apex Legends probably wouldn’t be the best game to play on a Game Boy, it’s still cool to see an idea of what it would look like. What would Apex Legends look like as a Game Boy game? The video was uploaded to Reddit by user SupahMunch, showing Apex Legends’ main menu screen and what it would look on a Game Boy. Read More: Apex Legends v1.1.1 update patch notes – Legends and weapon balancing, Battle Pass XP event, and more – We don’t see any actual gameplay, as a Game Boy would probably explode if it tried to play a game like this, but it’s still interesting to get a glimpse. The video pulls a bit of a bamboozle as it’s over 20 seconds long, but only flashes the title screen – which just leaves fans wanting more. Someone offered to make a playable 8-bit Apex While the initial Reddit thread wasn’t a playable game, someone in the comments said they could take a crack at it. “I can make one if you are desperate (playable one),” wrote Reddit user BOMBZ_Dev. Another Redditor asked a bot to remind him in a year where he was informed that should be more than enough time. Read More: Apex Legends v1.1.1 update patch notes – Legends and weapon balancing, Battle Pass XP event, and more – “Should be enough actually, starting the project tomorrow morning,” they concluded, much to the delight of eager players. Will the demake actually get made? Demakes are something we see pretty often with video games, as a lot of popular games undergo the treatment. Unfortunately, we don’t usually get to see them to fruition completely, as was the case with this Breath of the Wild demake before it was shut down back in 2017. Given the popularity of Apex Legends, it’s unlikely that EA would allow this demake to last for very long if it actually is made into a full game.

  • Apex Legends: 5 tips and tricks you didn’t know for World’s Edge map – Dexerto

Apex Legends: 5 tips and tricks you didn’t know for World’s Edge map RespawnApex Legends players are still getting to grips with the new World’s Edge map in Season 3, but, we’ve got five tips and tricks that you may not have known. After weeks of leaks, teasers, and random speculation, Apex Legends players finally got their hands on Season 3: Meltdown on October 1 as Respawn Entertainment added new legends, new weapons, and a raft of new cosmetics. The biggest change, however, came in the form of a new map. World’s Edge replaced Kings Canyon – which had been around since the very beginning – as he game’s sole backdrop. Even though it’s been in-game for two weeks, at the time of writing, fans are still finding useful tips and tricks on their way to scoring wins. So, here are five tips you might not have known about. Skyscrapers are climbable World’s Edge has a handful of city locations that contain plenty of buildings that can be looted and used for close-quarters combat. Of course, you could run up a huge amount of stairs and hope that no one is lying in wait — or even pop a Pathfinder zipline if it is available to you. However, you can also climb them from the outside, provided no one is watching, for an easy flanking maneuver. Pretty much all you have to do is jump up to each metal bar that looks like a tiny ledge to stand upon. There is just enough room to reach one, so be patient and aim for the right spot. Train stops have secret loot One of the newest features introduced in World’s Edge was the Train that follows a route around the map and can give you a helping hand in getting about quickly. However, there is much more to the train than just being able to pick where you want to go by stopping and starting. There is also a lot of loot up for grabs once it rolls into a station, as ‘secret’ loot bins will appear from below the floor. Crypto’s EMP can be used through walls Crypto was the newest character to join Apex Legends with the start of Season 3, and has already changed the game’s meta with his EMP ultimate — and there is a sneaky way to set off the devastating charge as it can go through walls. Read More: Apex Legends: How to win with Crypto – If you want to clear out a building, simply set the Drone down next to a wall, and charge up the EMP. The blast will go through the buildings and affect everyone inside — presenting the perfect chance to score some easy kills. Overlook’s secret loot tunnel While most teams are heading to Capitol City, Sniper’s Ridge, and Thermal Station, the smaller named locations present good looting opportunities; even if the game says otherwise. One of these is Overlook (on the far right-side of the map). It has a few spread-out buildings that have long sight-lines if anyone else drops near you, so there are chances to fight. However, we’re focusing on the secret town just outside the map. The tunnel, which leads to a set of train tracks, has some of the game’s most secluded loot bins on either side of the tracks. You might be testing your luck with the circle by heading here, but you’ll be pretty safe for a while if it falls in your favor. Cargo Drones have gold loot but are easily spooked Loot can also drop from the sky in Season 3, by means of the Cargo Drones that fly around. These do, in fact, change color from blue, to purple, and finally gold, which represents the tier of loot inside. So, you don’t have to take them down quickly if you’re starting off. Although, you will want to make sure that you’re shooting the drone and not the ball, as doing otherwise will cause it to speed off. So, there you have it, five tips and tricks that may have not known for World’s Edge in Apex Legends. They won’t guarantee wins, but that’s just the nature of the game. Regardless, you’ll still be able to impress teammates and outgun enemies if you follow along, so make sure to test out your new-found knowledge in-game.

  • Apex Legends: 5 best places to land on new Kings Canyon in Season 5 – Dexerto

Apex Legends: 5 best places to land on new Kings Canyon in Season 5 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends returned to Kings Canyon in Season 5 after a stint in the frosty World’s Edge, though a few things have changed since fans last battled across the iconic original map — here are the five best places to land in Apex’s new-look map this season. King’s Canyon is currently not available in Apex, but we’ll be sure to update this article as it comes back. – Respawn answered the prayers of Apex Legends players across the world when they brought back the battle royale’s original map. It wasn’t quite the same, however — Season 5 has seen Kings Canyon torn asunder. The infamous Skull Town was ripped out of the map, while a number of story changes have also slipped into the half-desert, half-jungle arena. Without further ado, here are the best places to land in every Apex match. The Broken Coast Respawn may have removed the ever-popular Skull Town and Thunderdome drop zones from Kings Canyon in Season 5, but that doesn’t mean what has been left in their wake isn’t worth the visit — quite the opposite! Where the high-action areas once stood, there is now “The Broken Coast,” a new point of interest. Nearby stands “Salvage” as well. Both of these are still quite appealing for any Apex player that wants to grab loot, and kills. High-tier loot can be found across both areas, and there’s a two-way zip line that connects Salvage with “Gauntlet” on the other side of the destroyed coastline too. Underneath it all lies a series of tunnels, where secret loot bunkers are hidden. Like Skull Town and Thunderdome in past seasons, expect this shattered coastal area to be one of the season’s hotspots. That’s not really a bad thing — it means plenty of kills if you’re good enough — but be warned all the same. Offshore Rig The new Offshore Rig area is another new Season 5 point of interest. It’s buried in the northeast corner of Kings Canyon, and connects to Relay, Capacitor (also new), and Swamps via roads, tunnels, and bunkers. There are a few places here that boast some of the highest rarity loot in the game, including a spot hidden up on a hanging platform. Make sure you scour the whole area once you’ve cleared out any enemies brave enough to follow you here. Just like The Broken Coast, Offshore Rig is one of those areas that is going to be swarming with enemies. Its high-tier loot is one reason and, of course, people love to try out new areas as well. Interest may die down as Season 5 continues. Artillery Plenty of Kings Canyon has been switched up in Season 5, but there are some things that just stay the same. Thankfully, Artillery is in that second camp. The far-off POI has retained all its loot and hangars, meaning it’s a great spot to drop. The huge drop zone does come with a few drawbacks. The main one is that the legends who land there often have to put in some serious work finding the fight. Full games can often become a series of sprints across the map. If you’re willing to put in the cross-country treks to find the final circles, however, Artillery is in the top five places to drop in Season 5 without a doubt. Familiarity, a huge stack of rare loot, and access to multiple key areas — this area has it all. Market On the same wavelength as Artillery, this next landing zone takes familiarity into account as much as anything else. As Kings Canyon changes around it, another point of interest seems to stay the same. That is the very central Market drop zone. There’s plenty of loot here, so that gets a tick. Unlike Artillery, however, it’s smack bang in the middle of the action early. This means it’s often got one or two firefights popping up as soon as you get your boots on the ground. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, of course. Plenty of high-level Apex Legends players want to get their kill-count going right from minute one. Market is perfect for that. The only actual downside for the long hall area is its medium-tier loot. Apart from that, Market is a great place to land. Even better, if you know you’re going to head to the central POI, you can come prepared. Caustic is lethal here with his traps in side rooms. Loba can steal things from the middle of the area too. Both would be great picks for the area. Reclaimed Forest “Look, Apex Legends is healing: sweaty pro Wraiths are returning to Kings Canyon.” Jokes aside, Reclaimed Forest is one of the parts of the original map that has undergone some changes just from players being away at World’s Edge. This area was once “Shattered Forest”. Nature is continuing to take hold of the battle royale arena though, after Crypto destroyed the shield in Season 2. This means there are new areas to explore here, and a few new challenges. One big change is the entrance to Singh Labs. It has officially become a point of interest in the new season. Outside of that, Reclaimed Forest and its surrounding area is as per usual for the best drops: plenty of loot, and lots of ways to leave. So there you have it — five of the best places to land on the new-look Kings Canyon in Apex Legends Season 5. Of course, where you drop also comes down to preference: land wherever you think you and your squad like best! Is there a great place we missed? Agree with our list, but simply want to tell us off for revealing your favorite spot? Let us know on Twitter @TitanfallBlog!

Apex Legends 30-30 Repeater: New Season 8 weapon details revealed Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 8 will be introducing a new weapon – the 30-30 Repeater. It’s a lever-action rifle that “packs a punch,” it’s unlike any other weapon in the game so far. But, will it be any good? Season 7 of Apex Legends bucked the trend by not adding a new weapon at all. This didn’t really bother anyone, as there was a whole new map to worry about, and the beloved R-99 was returned to floor loot. But, players knew that more weapons were coming, after numerous sightings of unreleased guns were spotted in dev streams, including this mystery 30-30 Repeater which has now been confirmed. We first saw the rifle in the Season 6 dev stream, as it laid on the ground for a brief moment. What is the 30-30 repeater in Apex Legends? The new Season 8 weapon is actually tied to the lore. The new Legend, Fuse, joins the games from the planet Salvo, and he’s bringing the 30-30 Repeater with him. As showcased in the video below, it seems to have a relatively solid rate of fire, especially when you consider that it’s a lever-action rifle. Hopefully, the damage will be able to stand next to the other weapons in the game as well. Only time will tell, of course. 30-30 Repeater ammo type It’s now been confirmed that the 30-30 Repeater will indeed take Heavy Rounds, as had been suspected based on early teasers. The base clip-size is 6 rounds, but that can be increased with extended mags, including the new Level 4 gold extended mag, which offers an auto-reload feature. Base ammo: 6 rounds – Level 1 extended mag: 8 rounds – Level 2 extended mag: 10 rounds – Level 3 extended mag: 12 rounds – The reload speed of the weapon is quite slow since each round gets loaded individually, so a good idea is to reload well before your clip runs out. 30-30 Repeater Attachments While we won’t know the entire array of attachments available for the 30-30 until Season 8 is fully released, we do have a good idea of all the compatible ones from the early gameplay that’s available. The confirmed attachments so far are stocks, all four levels of extended mags, and several sights like the 1x, 2x, 3x, and 2x-4x. You cannot equip a 4x-8x or a 6x scope. The location of the meter that indicates your Charged Shot (see below) also changes depending on what sight you’re using; the charge bar will show on the gun itself when using an iron sight or 1x scope and will be on the optic itself if using something more zoomed in, like the 3x. 30-30 Repeater damage stats & Charged Shot One of the interesting aspects of the Repeater is that it features a charge shot, which is a round that can be charged up before firing for increased damage. Here is the damage profile for the weapon with and without this charged shot: No Charge Shot body: 42 – No Charge Shot head: 74 – Full Charge Shot body: 57 – Full Charge Shot head: 100 – Obviously whether or not you should use the Charged Shot will depend on the situation; it’s probably better to avoid it when in gunfights that require you to spam your shots, and only use it when you can afford those gaps of time between each round. Overall, Dazs describes the 30-30 as falling right between the Longbow and G7 Scout: “The G7 has a faster rate of fire but less damage and the Longbow has a slower rate of fire but more damage. The 30-30 is a perfect weapon to pack a punch between mid-range and long-range shots.” 30-30 Repeater Skins The weapon should launch with over 16 common and rare skins, five Epic skins, and three Legendary skins. We already got a sneak peek at one of the Legendary camos in the Season 8 gameplay trailer, along with several other Legend and weapon skins. That’s everything we know so far about the 30-30 Repeater in Apex Legends. Expect more information to drop about the new weapon ahead of the Season 8 launch on February 2.

  • Apex Legends 2? Don’t count on it – Dexerto

Apex Legends 2? Don’t count on it Despite only releasing in February, there have already been discussions about an Apex Legends sequel – you shouldn’t count on Apex Legends 2 releasing anytime soon though. In fact, executive producer of Apex Legends, Drew McCoy, has pulled the brakes on the idea all together. In an interview with USGamer he said: “We’re never gonna make an Apex 2.” He added: “We do believe in this game as a live game,” after saying they have a lots of things in the pipeline. Clearly Respawn consider this game more akin to Fortnite rather than an iterative Call of Duty series. Having no plans for a sequel is hardly surprising given the game’s recent release but it is interesting someone so high profile within Respawn would shoot down the idea entirely. Popularity for EA’s battle royale game surged soon after release, surpassing even the loftiest expectations they had for the game. However, after the initial honeymoon period the game declined which was highlighted by its fall in the Twitch charts. Consequently, Season 1 was considered a disappointment and the introduction of a proper rankings system did little to quell the downward spiral. With that said, Apex Legends has maintained a core base which continue to make lobbies plentiful. EA and Respawn will be hoping the introduction of Season 2 will boost the game’s player base again. Next season’s contents haven’t been fully announced yet but we do know there will be a new character, dragons will be flying over King’s Canyon and there will be weapon changes. With Respawn suggesting Apex Legends will be around for years to come, we will surely see extensive map changes, even more character introductions and various other changes over the coming seasons.

  • Apex Legends 2.03 update patch notes: Vantage changes, skins fixed, more – Dexerto

Apex Legends 2.03 update patch notes: Vantage changes, skins fixed, more Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment just rolled out a minor Apex Legends update on August 22, addressing a number of key gameplay issues while also tweaking Vantage just days after her arrival. Hot off the heels of Apex Legends Season 14, Respawn has already deployed a follow-up patch. While the former introduced a range of new content and of course, a new Legend in Vantage, the latter is more of a minor update looking to resolve a handful of smaller problems. Immediately shooting up to the ranks to become the most-picked Legend, overtaking the likes of Wraith and Octane, Vantage has been dominant in the early stages of Season 14. Thus, two small adjustments have been made in the August 22 update to bring her down a notch. Although it’s a minor patch, there’s still a few key changes to keep in mind. So before you drop back in, be sure to brush up on all there is to know about the August 22 Apex Legends update. Vantage changes & key Apex Legends bug fixes Arguably most important in the August 22 update are the two changes to Vantage. Just weeks after her debut with the Season 14 patch, the character has already had rapid fixes rushed out the door. Namely, her Spotter’s Lens Passive ability, which provides a bullet drop indicator for long-distance targets, will no longer stop functioning after a respawn. Moreover, a quirky interaction with KO Shields and her tactical (double) jump has been fixed. Moving forward, Vantage should be able to benefit from a KO Shield when knocked in mid-air while using this extended jump ability. Rounding out the “highlights” from the August 22 update, Respawn pinpointed two bugs that were stamped out. First, weapons in Arenas should be more consistent when it comes to upgrades moving forward. Over the past few weeks, players were occasionally facing difficulties here, so expect a smoother process once this update is installed. Last but not least, the Seer Heartthrob and Rampart Wastelander skins will no longer crash your game when collecting a banner. Always handy. Full Apex Legends August 22 patch notes Below are the full Apex Legends August 22 patch notes as we understand them at the time of writing. We’ll be sure to update you here should any further changes be highlighted in the near future. August 22 patch Players occasionally unable to upgrade weapons in Arenas. – Collecting a banner when wearing the Seer Heartthrob and Rampart Wastelander skins causes a crash. – Vantage cannot use KO shield when knocked while using her tactical jump. – Vantage range indicator disappears after respawn. –

  • Apex Legends 120hz upgrade may nerf next-gen console aim assist – Dexerto

Apex Legends 120hz upgrade may nerf next-gen console aim assist Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is set to give PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players 120hz gameplay in the next Season 20 update, however, some are worried it might nerf aim assist. Respawn has been a little slow in getting console players up to the standard of PC gamers. Apex Legends only just got cross-progression across all four major devices, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2023. With Season 20, the developer is getting next-generation console players another much-requested upgrade to 120hz gameplay. This update also gives players the ability to use PS5 controller haptic triggers. With 120-hertz gameplay, console players will be able to contend with high-end PC users in terms of smoothness if they have a monitor that can take advantage of the update. This update may have a downside, however, as a developer said that aim assist will be adjusted for those using 120hz on a console. 120hz Apex Legends console gameplay has less aim assist A developer on the game responded to a player’s question on social media asking if aim assist will still be set at 0.6 when playing on 120hz. “Nope AA is adjusted when perf mode is enabled to accommodate for differences in tick rate,” they said. The adjusted aim assist might not be all that noticeable, however, as players in the Apex Legends Reddit pointed out that the frames added by switching to a high frame rate will more than make up for the lower value. “Because the game gets overall easier at high framerates, they will be lowering aim assist strength for next-gen consoles to compensate. Or, more accurately, they will be undoing the bonus aim assist that consoles have already received to make up for low framerate being more difficult,” a Reddit user said. Console players will have to test out the game after the Season 20 patch drops to showcase if the new frame rate’s aim assist feels any different.

  • Apex Legends: 10 tips and tricks to mastering advanced movement – Dexerto

Apex Legends: 10 tips and tricks to mastering advanced movement Movement is one of the most important aspects of Apex Legends, and here are some important tips that will help you master the mechanics. Player movement in Apex Legends is very unique when compared to other battle royale titles, especially when you consider things like sliding, climbing, jump towers, ziplines, ropes, and other items or mechanics that allow players to traverse around the map in different ways. With this in mind, YouTuber ‘mfewke’ has put together a guide on all of the little tricks that players can use to really take advantage of the complex movement system in the game. Octane Ultimate Boost Octane is the newest Legend in Apex Legends and his set of abilities focuses around movement. When using his Ultimate Ability, you can get a 30% aerial boost by simply sliding towards the Launch Pad and hitting the jump button right as you get to the pad. After getting launched into the air, you can strafe by using your mouse and A/D keys, as long as you make sure not to press press the forward key while in the air. Bunny-hop Healing An exploit in the game allows players to move quickly while using a health item, and this can be down by binding jump to the mouse scroll wheel up. The action can be performed by sliding, hitting the key to initiate the usage of the health item, and only use the A/D keys to strafe in the direction you are bunny-hopping. Keep in mind that Respawn have acknowledged the presence of the bunny-hopping exploit and are planning on patching it in the near future. Rope and Zipline Movement Techniques Here are several movement techniques you can execute while using a rope or zipline, which can help you get a small boost or advantage in many situations. Rope Jumping: Press jump when reaching the top of a rope you are climbing to get a small aerial boost. – Offensive Rope Jumping: Use a rope to launch yourself towards enemies that may be hiding behind cover. – Zipline Maneuver: When using a zipline, continuously jump and reattach yourself to the line to make it harder for enemy players to shoot at you. – Zipline Maneuver #2: When dropping from a zipline, make sure to crouch as it saves you a short amount of time from being in the air. – Miscellaneous Movement Tips Here are a few additional techniques you can use to move a lot more efficiently and effectively, whether it comes to reaching certain areas or gaining an advantage while in a gunfight. Speed Jump: You can reach maximum distance after jumping from heights by first sliding, the sprinting, then jumping, all while strafing with your mouse at the end. – Door Climbing: Use open doors as ledges to reach rooftops that may be impossible to reach by simply climbing. – Sliding: Sliding side-to-side while in a gunfight will reduce your Legend’s hitbox. – The full YouTube video breaking down these techniques can be viewed below, along with visible demonstrations on how these methods look in-game. Keep in mind that these techniques are all good for now, but Respawn could implement changes in future updates that may mitigate their effectiveness.

  • Apex Legends: 10 tips and tricks to help you master Crypto in Season 3 – Dexerto

Apex Legends: 10 tips and tricks to help you master Crypto in Season 3 Respawn EntertainmentWith Crypto now available to use in Apex Legends Season 3: Meltdown, here are some tips and tricks that will go a long way towards helping you master the newest Legend. After weeks of leaks, rumors, and speculation, Crypto has finally been released as a playable character in Apex Legends, one of the numerous new content additions introduced with the launch of Season 3. Crypto is categorized as a support Legend, meaning that his abilities neither offer an offensive attack nor any sort of defense support against enemy fire. However, that doesn’t mean he isn’t powerful. In fact, his three abilities are actually very potent: CRYPTO’S THREE ABILITIES: NEUROLINK (Passive) – Crypto and his teammates see what his Surveillance Drone detects up to a 30m distance. – SURVEILLANCE DRONE (Tactical) – Deploy an aerial camera drone. 40 second cooldown if destroyed. – DRONE EMP (Ultimate): Charge up an EMP from your drone. The blast deals 50 shield damage, slows players, and destroys traps. – These powers can be the difference between winning and losing matches, if used correctly. That said, here are some words of advice on how to best use them in-game. YouTuber ‘DooM49,’ who got early access to Season 3 after being invited out by EA to test it ahead of release, has shown off the best tips for using the new legend. 1. Drones can be spotted The Surveillance Drone is not exactly a stealthy device, as it can be seen and heard quite easily. When active, it makes a constant humming noise, and leaves a long colored trailed behind it when flying – friendly drones have a green trail, while enemy drones are red. 2. Drones can be shot down If you encounter an enemy drone, the best strategy to dealing with it is to just shoot it down. They are not difficult to take down; a couple of shots from your weapon should do the trick. 3. Drones have hacking abilities When in the air and being manually controlled, these drones can be used to hack certain things on the map, especially doors. Yes, this means that you can use the device to remotely open doors, which can offer a huge tactical advantage. 4. Drones can save teammates One lesser known trait about Crypto’s mini-robot is that it can actually pick up the banners of downed teammates. This can obviously be very significant, as it can be combined with the ability to open doors to save teammates before they become permanently eliminated. 5. Watch your own back after landing The early stages of a match can be quite stressful, as everyone is trying to land and find good loot as quickly as possible. However, instead of blindly rushing, you can deploy your drone immediately after landing, and use Crypto’s Passive to be automatically alerted of any enemies in the immediate area. 6. Clear out where you’re going When your team decides to move to a new location on the map, first scout it out using your device. This allows you to see if there are any enemies waiting to ambush you, and if there are, you can turn the tables on them (see next tip) 7. Use EMP remotely Crypto’s Ultimate Ability is a massive EMP blast that deals shield damage, slows down enemies, and takes down traps. When clearing out points on the map you’d like to travel to, use the EMP wave to cripple enemy teams that may be already there, before your squad can move in and finish them off. 8. Be careful when using EMP While the EMP is obviously a very powerful option, it must be used with some degree of caution because it can also affect your teammates as well. Any squad-mates within the radius of the blast who use traps, such as Caustic or Wattson, will see their devices also destroyed by the blast. 9. Position yourself well when using the drone When manually controlling the drone, Crypto will stand frozen in place, which leaves you very susceptible to attack. Make sure to always try to hide as well as possible before popping out your robotic helper. 10. Taking damage exits the drone Despite being rooted to the spot when steering the drone, any sort of damage taken will automatically cause you to leave the manual interface and take control of Crypto again. This can be a good thing and a bad thing. It’s good because you can still escape from being taken down if the enemy shooting at you is still far away. However, if the damage you take was from something friendly, such as your Caustic teammate’s gas trap going off near you, then that can be a frustrating experience. More helpful advice on how to best use Crypto can be found in this video, published by ‘Raynday Gaming,’ who also got to try out the new Season early. • Apex Legends: 10 brilliant limited time mode ideas we want to see added – Dexerto

Apex Legends: 10 brilliant limited time mode ideas we want to see added Respawn Entertainment.Apex Legends players have created a list of some of their most popular ideas for limited time game modes that could be added to the game. Since Apex Legends release on February 4, there has been a heavy focus on pushing the main game mode which sees teams of 3 players fighting their way to the final ring and looking to become the champions. Although the game has seen a massively successful launch, many fans of are looking for new ways to play the game, and so have devised their own ideas for limited time game modes that could be added. The list includes ten incredible ideas that Respawn Entertainment could potentially implement as Apex Legends LTM game modes in future. Some of the more popular Limited Time Modes that were suggested among fans included ideas such as: One weapon only – Every player in the lobby spawns in with the same weapon that is randomly selected by the server, e.g. Mozambique only – Scorched land – Where the ring kills players instantly, forcing players to fight for control of the safe zone. – Execution only – Where downed enemies can only be killed by execution finishers. – Many more ideas for potential Apex Legends LTM’s can be found in the list below. It is unlikely that Respawn will implement many of these ideas, but fans are desperately hoping for a new experiences, such as these LTM’s to be featured in Apex legends. There have also been many calls by fans of the game for Respawn to add Solo and Duo game modes to Apex Legends’s playlist, although there hasn’t been much sign of them being added any time soon. The second season of Apex Legends is right around the corner, expected in mid-June, and the developers have confirmed that more ways to play are coming. However, they remain very tight-lipped about what these potential modes could be, and while a solo mode may seem like an obvious choice, the game was designed from the ground up as a team game. Some of the ideas provided by fans give some great possibilities for even more team-focused gameplay, which the development team could take some inspiration from.

  • Apex Legends 1.82 update patch notes: Bugs fixed for Animated Banner, Crypto, Pathfinder & Bloodhound – Dexerto

Apex Legends 1.82 update patch notes: Bugs fixed for Animated Banner, Crypto, Pathfinder & Bloodhound Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Patch 1.82 brings some major bug fixes to the game including the end of animated banners crashing games, Pathfinder’s broken cooldown and issues with Bloodhound’s scan. The latest Apex Legends update aims to restabilize the game with an increased focus on internal health, including better protection from distributed denial of service attacks (DDoS) that have recently plagued the game. This also means that players can safely re-equip their favorite animated banners without fear of breaking the game upon loading into a match. While game health was clearly a concern here, several characters have also received fixes to their specific problems – like Pathfinder’s inescapable 30-second cooldown in Arenas, and the insta-melee bug that was allowing Rampart to down people at record speed. Apex Legends Patch 1.82 update patch notes One of the bigger highlights of the update centers on Crypto, whose drone will no longer crash your game when flying it into the map room on King’s Canyon Since Crypto isn’t one of the Legends with the highest pickrate, any issue that could scare people away from him is a big one, and this reinforces the emphasis on game health that is present elsewhere in the update. Just shipped some quality of life improvements and bug fixes for @playapex! pic.twitter.com/HAKHJGyW0U — Respawn (@Respawn) October 20, 2021 The rest of the updates were on smaller quality-of-life issues, like the Dropship that brings dead players back to the battlefield going silent while it was overhead, and problems with cosmetics not showing up as intended for a brief time. While all of these changes may not jump out off the page as important, Respawn has been under a lot of pressure to address the health of Apex Legends before the arrival of Season 11 in November and this is a clear start toward that goal. Apex Legends Oct 20 patch notes We’ve resolved an issue that caused players to be randomly unreadied while matchmaking in Ranked – Fixed a couple of issues that were causing animated banner poses to cause hangs or crashes – Improved protection against DDoS attacks – Fixed audio and rendering issues with respawn ships – Fixed an issue with using Crypto’s drone in the Map Room – Fixed an issue with Pathfinder having a constant 30s grapple cooldown regardless of distance in Arenas – Pathfinder Beacons Scanned tracker now updates correctly – Fixed melee and spin-up exploits related to mobile Sheila – The raven in Bloodhound’s Niflheim Hundr skin will now correctly show as white in the lobby – Stability fixes and memory optimizations –

  • Apex Legends 1.58 update fixes broken Bloodhound tactical: Patch notes – Dexerto

Apex Legends 1.58 update fixes broken Bloodhound tactical: Patch notes Respawn EntertainmentRespawn have released a new hotfix in Apex Legends that has addressed an issue with Bloodhound’s Eye of the Allfather tactical ability along with errors relating to Explosive Holds, among others. [jwplayer vP8vm9zZ] Apex Legends has been bustling since the Season 8: Mayhem update added a new look to the beloved Kings Canyon map, along with new Legends, Fuse. But since the patch, Respawn’s studio has been keeping an eye on their game for any problems that may arise. One such problem was a problem with Bloodhound, whose scan ability wasn’t picking up the targets that it was meant to, and it’s been causing problems for players for a while now. Bloodhound scan fix The scan has been messing up a lot of Bloodhound players that are relying on its intel. From casual to ALGS games, the Eye of the Allfather tactical bug has been cropping up at the worst time for teams. Evidently, if two different Bloodhounds used their scan, the players that one Eye of the Allfather registered would go undetected by any other one. Obviously, this would present a problem for games that have teams more tightly fitted in a fight, which has been happening in-game. Hopefully, however, this new patch has straightened out this problem to give the Recon Legend some much-needed help in the Apex Games. Explosive holds on Kings Canyon The high loot holds have been causing people some problems in Apex Legends. While people have slowly learned that you don’t need to run from the blast when opening the hold, you can, however, get a little stuck on the doorstep. There have been clips of people struggling with the explosive holds in more than a few ways, and the devs are looking to step in to resolve the issues. It’s unclear what exactly they fixed, but players and developers alike will keep a close eye for any recurring problems in the game. Apex Legends February 10 update patch notes Players not being scanned by Bloodhound’s tactical if already scanned by a different Bloodhound’s tactical – Errors related to explosive holds on Kings Canyon – Various stability fixes – Re-enabled some dialogue that was wrongly disabled –

  • Apex Legend pros explain why they desperately need custom lobbies – Dexerto

Apex Legend pros explain why they desperately need custom lobbies Apex Legends professional players have pleaded with Respawn Entertainment to add custom lobbies, in order to help the game’s competitive scene grow. The developer took their first step towards expanding their competitive scene on the release of Season 2 when the long-awaited ranked mode was added, allowing players to rank up divisions to play against people of a similar skill level. However, unlike rival battle royale games PUBG and Fortnite, custom lobbies are still nowhere to be seen, six months after the game was initially launched; leaving pro players unable to practice against the very best in the world. In an interview with Forbes, Cloud9 player Greg ‘Grego’ McAllen revealed he and his fellow pros were desperate to compete against each other in order to reduce how much luck effects their performances. “We all really want to play against only each other, but unfortunately without custom servers we have to make do with what’s given to us,” he said. “Luck is just a much larger factor at the moment than everyone would like it to be. “I know there are lots of doubters outside of the community because they don’t feel like it’s real competition at the moment.” McAllen’s Cloud9 teammate, Joseph ‘Frexs’ Sanchez had similar thoughts and highlighted the success of Apex’s rival games competitively after custom lobbies were added. Sanchez said: “It is extremely important that we get custom lobbies. Most competitive games like CS:GO, League of Legends, Dota 2 and PUBG they all have private, custom lobbies and it works really well.” Cloud9 pro Timothy ‘Overpowered’ Liang believes that the pub stomping format, used in most current tournaments such as Twitch Rivals, shouldn’t be utilized due to the RNG (random number generator) that is involved in such events. “I personally think that custom lobbies is the best tournament format,” said the American. “There is a lot of RNG that comes into kill farming tournaments such as facing good players, where people land, and if players die really fast in the lobby. “It is very important that Apex Legends esports grows so that the pros can play in custom lobbies. Pub stomping is not good for Apex Legends esports.” It remains to be seen whether Respawn Entertainment will take the feedback on board, with so many pros desperate to see the feature implemented as soon as possible.

  • Apex Legend players want Nemesis AR “nerfed to the ground” as it’s so OP – Dexerto

Apex Legend players want Nemesis AR “nerfed to the ground” as it’s so OP Respawn/EAApex Legends players have called upon Respawn to nerf the Nemesis AR as they believe it is far too overpowered right now. Over the years, Apex Legends has gone through a few metas that players aren’t going to forget anytime soon. Just think back to the R400 meta – where players rocked the R301 and R99 together – as well as the broken Flatline on Kings Canyon and you’ll quickly be having nightmares. Respawn have, naturally, tried to rectify things whenever a meta has gotten out of hand. In recent seasons, they’ve clamped down on the Charge Rifle, tweaked the Eva-8, and reigned in LMGs like the Spitfire and Devotion. However, in Season 17, players have grown sick and tired of the Nemesis AR, claiming it has joined the list of previous meta that saw them turn away from the battle royale for a bit. Apex Legends players call for “broken” Nemesis AR to be nerfed A number of players have called for Respawn to put the assault rifle under the microscope and start to dish out some nerfs as it is simply too “broken” right now. “Nemesis needs to be nerfed to the ground asap,” stated Redditor MANUU__20. “This gun pretty much REQUIRES you to use it. It’s that broken.” Others chimed in with similar concerns. “Nemesis is better than the care package hemlock as far as I’m concerned. It feels so broken when I use it,” said one. “I’m surprised they haven’t nerfed it yet. Not even a single change at all,” added another. “I refuse to use the gun. Almost everyone I play with doesn’t use it because it’s just so cheesy,” another commented. Some players suggested that Respawn could tweak the charge up time with an attachment to give it a nerf, so just bring the damage values down by small touch. With Season 18 on the horizon, others want to see the Nemesis make its way into the care package, but we’ll have to wait and see what the devs do.

  • Apex Legend player pulls off insane 200m Smoke Launcher shot with Bangalore – Dexerto

Apex Legend player pulls off insane 200m Smoke Launcher shot with Bangalore Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends player shared a mind-boggling Smoke Launcher shot with Bangalore that hit a target over 200 meters away. Perhaps one of the most infamous Legend abilities in Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale, Apex Legends, is Bangalore’s Smoke Launcher tactical. Anyone who’s played Apex Legends will know that Bangalore can use a Smoke Launcher to fire a grenade that explodes and provides cover for teammates and allies alike. However, most Bangalore mains likely just aim the grenade launcher at the ground and call it a day. That wasn’t the case for one player, who decided to blindly fire the Smoke Launcher into the distance. What’s more, they managed to hit an unsuspecting opponent without even seeing them Apex Legends Bangalore player makes crazy Smoke Launcher shot The shot in question came from a Reddit user named BeholdSnail, who posted a clip to the Apex Legends subreddit with the title, “Over 200m smoke hit over mountain?!” In the video, the player is standing on the edge of the large facility in King’s Canyon melded into a cliff face. After observing their surroundings, the Bangalore player loads their Smoke Launcher tactical and aims it off into the distance over a small mountain. While watching the shot fall out of view over the mountain, a small hitmaker appears showing 10 damage to a White Shield as the character’s view quickly jerks in surprise. The OP said, “Shocked I even managed this.” They weren’t the only ones, as many fans took to the comments section to express their own surprise at the insanely lucky shot. Others were amused at how the random Smoke shot must have appeared to the unsuspecting target. “I feel sorry for the person that got hit. I would’ve sh*t myself ngl,” said one player. Some fans shared their own stories of using Bangalore’s tactical to score unsuspecting hits. “I’ve gotten a knock from almost this distance with smoke, but I could hear the other teams fighting so I had a decent idea of where to shoot it lol. Nice shot.” While this OP didn’t manage to get a knock with their insane shot, it’s still an impressive feat of luck to hit a blind target at that distance.

  • Apex Legend player perfectly recreates tricky Octane Heirloom animation – Dexerto

Apex Legend player perfectly recreates tricky Octane Heirloom animation Respawn EntertainmentOne Apex Legends fan decided to recreate part one of Octane’s balisong heirloom animations and it’s certainly an impressive sight. Apex Legends’ various heirlooms are the rarest collectibles in the game, with hundreds of hours of playtime needed to possibly get one. Those lucky enough to receive an Apex Legends heirloom are treated to some awesome animations, like Octane who flips and spins his gold-plated balisong, or butterfly knife. Now, one Apex Legends player has perfectly recreated one of Octane’s balisong heirloom animations down to the specific hand motions. Apex Legends recreates Octane heirloom animation Reddit user RingSound posted a side-by-side video of themselves performing the balisong trick compared to Octane’s in-game animation. The portion of the animation that RingSound recreated started with flipping out the balisong, before bringing it in to twirl around the thumb. Next, RingSound spun the knife to his pinky finger, twirling it around the finger a few times before they launched the knife in the air and caught it before it hit the ground. After catching it, RingSound did a few more intricate flips and spins before ending the trick with the handles closed and the blade extended. RingSound’s post garnered a positive reaction on the Apex Legends subreddit, with many users impressed by their skills on display. Some commenters were concerned about how many times RingSound injured themselves learning this trick, but they assured them that it was just a trainer balisong with a dulled edge. While RingSound said a trick like this “is possible to do” with a real blade it would be “impossibly hard.” Balisongs have grown in popularity as of late, thanks to their appearances in popular games like Valorant and influencers like PewDiePie showing interest in them. However, those interested in getting involved in the balisong community should be sure to start slowly and only with dull training blades to avoid injuries.

Apex Legends bug forces players to change characters and nobody knows why Apex Legends players have uncovered a new glitch that changes their selected legends moments before they are about to jump into a match. The highly-anticipated Apex Legends Season Two was finally released on July 2, adding plenty of new content to the battle royale title – including a new Legend and a ranked mode. Despite all the positive additions, fans have been stumbling onto a number of new bugs and errors too – including one that will change your legend selection before you even have the chance to react. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user JumpFiction showcased a clip of himself and his friends waiting to jump into a match. Each player selected their Legends – a line-up of Caustic, Bangalore, and Wraith – before the squad moved on to the next loading screen, which shows tracked stats for each player. However, JumpFiction was left completely puzzled when his Caustic selection changed into Lifeline. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out to be a visual error as the Redditor ended up jumping into the game as the Medic, rendering him and his teammates pretty much speechless. After JumpFiction’s video of the incident went viral on the subreddit, other fans stated that they had run into the same bug. “That has happened to me and no one believed me,” added one user. Another, YogiSquatch, added that a similar thing had happened to them in a recent game – reverting their selection of Wraith to a default skin while also removing any unlocked skins for their weapons. Thankfully for the Redditor, their account had not been reset by Respawn but they had stumbled onto an annoying and bizarre glitch. While members of the Apex Legends development team do scour the subreddit for issues, none of them have responded to the new issue yet. The team also set up a Trello page for major errors, allowing fans to see just what fixes and updates that they working on. This particular glitch has not been given a spot on their board so it’s unknown if they have picked up on it. It remains to be seen if the annoying bug becomes more widespread than a few of the noted cases, or if it’s a temporary bug that can be fixed without much issue.

  • Apex Legends devs to pull trigger on Valkyrie jetpack nerfs in May 27 update – Dexerto

Apex Legends devs to pull trigger on Valkyrie jetpack nerfs in May 27 update Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends developers confirmed Valkyrie’s passive ability, VTOL Jetpack, is getting nerfed in an upcoming update after players started using it to hover in the air for extended periods of time during final fights. Valkyrie has been the star of the show so far in Apex Legends Season 9. She hasn’t been everyone’s cup of tea. Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek has vowed never to play her because the VTOL Jetpack makes it impossible to bunnyhop. However, those who do have found interesting ways to get the most out of her abilities, like flying extended distances. The problem, though, is that it’s led to players taking advantage of the VTOL Jetpack and hovering in the air for an extended period of time during final fights. And it’s happening in competitive games, too. She can’t fire her weapon while doing it, but she’s much harder to hit and can win the battle of attrition. John ‘JayBiebs’ Larson, the Associate Live Balance Designer at Respawn Entertainment, acknowledged the issue and confirmed that the ability would be nerfed in an update on May 27. Essentially, they’re making it so hovering in the air will no longer consume a fraction of the fuel. Instead, it will consume the full amount. Read More: Best Legends to use in Apex Legends Season 9 – “Valk’s “tac hover” was designed to consume fuel at 10% of the normal rate. With ALGS ramping up, we figured we should remove this exception,” he said. “We found Valks would often take coffee breaks above the final fight in scrims. This will go live on Thursday.” Valk’s “”tac hover”” was designed to consume fuel at 10% of the normal rate. With ALGS ramping up, we figured we should remove this exception (we found Valks would often take coffee breaks above the final fight in scrims). This will go live on Thursday. — JayBiebs (@RSPN_JayBiebs) May 25, 2021 Apex Legends players have had mixed reactions to the news. They believe it wasn’t overpowered since she can’t draw her gun and accused the developers of pandering to “crybaby professional players” at the expense of regular players. Instead, they suggested changing it to consume slightly more fuel rather than the full amount. However, the developers haven’t responded and are still planning to forge ahead. So, we’ll have to see how it pans out on Thursday.

  • Apex Legends already has the next four Legends “locked in” up to Season 12 – Dexerto

Apex Legends already has the next four Legends “locked in” up to Season 12 Respawn EntertainmentWorried about Apex Legends running dry of content? Respawn aren’t. The devs are future-proofing the game, already locking in legends up to Season 12 in 2022 to keep the battle royale flowing. Game development takes time, but there’s comfort in knowing that your favorite game has big plans for the future. Respawn are reassuring Apex Legends with just that with their grandiose intentions for their battle royale. The devs are already thinking months, if not years in advance, and they’ve teasing little tidbits of what’s to come. Rest assured: Apex will be hitting double-digit seasons soon, and there’s not stopping the momentum after the game’s launch on Steam. Respawn confirmed as much in an April 2 podcast. Game director Chad Grenier has said the developer has already mapped out new Legends as far as Season 12, penned in for some time in 2022. “At this point we know our Season 9, 10, 11, and 12 Legends I believe,” he said. While he didn’t leak any potential designs, he did say Respawn are constantly thinking years in advance about what to add in Apex Legends. There’s a number of concepts outside of the four “locked in” Legends that are in various stages of development. “We always have a handful that are in various phases. There’s a bunch in prototype; they don’t have models, they don’t have personalities, they just have their ability set,” he added. While Respawn had admitted to locking in the Season 12 Legend, Grenier says it’s still in very early development. The long process between now and its release in 2022 could see things drastically change, but they’ll have a reasonably clear path in the coming months. “We need to make sure we give [the writers] enough time to write [narratives] and the artists enough time to build the character model and enough time to do a proper tease and season theme around that Legend,” he said. “We usually know from about a year out.” Pro players invited to test new Legends Grenier also gave some insight into how they test a new Legend before releasing it into the wild. Read More: Apex Legends characters that need buffs – “We’re good developers, but not the best players of the game… So when you have the pros come in and play, you get a lot of insight. There have already been leaks that Blisk will be a new Legend, and that a Titanfall-inspired season is coming next, Respawn are going to have to set a high bar to clear with their future updates. However, it appears like they have the plans to do so.

  • Apex Legends dev teases solos might be coming during Season 4 – Dexerto

Apex Legends dev teases solos might be coming during Season 4 Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends fans may finally be getting a long-term wish granted in Season 4, after one Respawn developer responded to questions about the single-player playlist ahead of the new season’s gameplay trailer premiere. The battle royale’s hype machine is in full swing, with Revenant confirmed to join the Apex roster, and powerful new weapons like the bolt-action Sentinel sniper rifle as well as the Sidewinder mini-rocket launcher likely to drop in-game too. Now, a Respawn developer has added fuel to the fire on Twitter, after teasing a plan for the long-awaited solos playlist to potentially arrive on World’s Edge and King’s Canyon, even if they don’t necessarily agree it’s the “better” game mode. Could Respawn have a solo playlist in the pipeline? With the gameplay trailer arriving in less than 24 hours, Respawn devs have taken to Twitter to drum up hype, from Carlos Pineda suggesting they were “just getting started,” to designer Jobye-Kyle Karmaker just sending emojis. Respawn’s producer Josh Medina joined the chorus of hype, adding the company was going to “show only the beginning of the goods Season 4 will bring.” His comment sparked curiosity from Cloud9 star PVPX, who asked if Season 4 was going to “bless us with solos.” Medina responded soon after, revealing players who queue alone may have something coming their way this year. “This my opinion: I think duos is a better experience than solos… playing alone against 55 Wraiths isn’t exciting to me… the duos and threes experience is where it’s at, for me,” the Respawn development producer replied. Just because he isn’t a fan doesn’t mean it’s not on the cards, Medina admitted, and added that Respawn “should offer a way for solos to play the game without teammates,” once they get past the massive Season 4 launch on February 4. He did make sure to add that he “wasn’t promising anything for the launch of Season 4,” so as to temper fan expectations, but concluded solo playlists were “something to think about for the future of Apex” for Respawn. This is my Opinion On Solos FYI.. I think duos is a better experience than solos.. Playing alone against 55 wraiths isn’t exciting to me lol the duos and 3s experience is where it’s at for me.. with that said we should offer a way for solos to play the game without teammates 👀 — Josh Medina (@lowkeydbjosh) February 2, 2020 Permanent duos may arrive before a solos playlist If some variant of solos arrives in Assimilation, it won’t be the first time the single-player playlist has appeared in Apex Legends—it first appeared in the Iron Crown Collection event, for a short fortnight stint. After a mixed bag of reviews, Respawn made the call to double-down on duos as the main limited-time mode. The two-player mode was, unsurprisingly, a huge hit, which suggests it may be on the menu ahead of solos if either does appear soon. While there’s no official confirmation on the arrival of solos in Season 4, more details on the new season should be revealed in the upcoming Assimilation gameplay trailer, including new legend Revenant’s abilities and ultimate. The new season, as well as everything that comes with it, drops into Apex Legends on Tuesday, February 4. Be sure to keep tabs on our Apex Legends section as we break the latest news on Season 4 as it unfolds.

  • Apex Legends dev reveals new changes are coming for “broken” G7 Scout – Dexerto

Apex Legends dev reveals new changes are coming for “broken” G7 Scout Apex Legends players have been calling for the “broken” G7 Scout to be nerfed for months, as the long-ranged rifle cast its shadow over World’s Edge since the start of Season 3, and now it seems their prayers have been answered. Since Respawn’s battle royale swapped original map King’s Canyon for sniper’s paradise World’s Edge last October, long-ranged guns like the G7 Scout have dominated the meta. Alongside the notorious Charge Rifle, the Scout rose to the top of the pile, mainly for its versatile strength at any distance. The all-star weapon choice quickly became a go-to pick-up for players, as the G7 was able to deliver maximum impact in tight battles, as well as at range. Now it looks like Respawn has finally acknowledged the Scout’s meta-warping power, and designer Eric ‘Ghost’ Hewitt has confirmed “adjustments” are coming. Confirmation of the changes came after pro player Jonathon ‘Urban’ Boland weighed in on the balance problems on Twitter. He suggested the Scout was simply too strong to keep in its current state, especially with near-zero counterplay. “The Scout is currently broken, having the DPS that rivals the top close-range weapons, while [also] being incredibly consistent at ranges of even 500 meters for pros… it’s too suppressive on rotates of any range,” he said. Urban also added it was “ridiculous” the light rifle had only one possible counter to its damage – “don’t peak” – considering the G7 isn’t designed to be as powerful as energy weapons, or even loot-crate drops like the Kraber .50-cal. Hewitt arrived in the Twitter thread, which also touched on the destructive powers of the Arc Star throwable, to confirm Respawn would be “making adjustments” to both the all-star light rifle and the rampant energy grenade as well. While Ghost didn’t have any further details on what shape the Scout changes might actually take, perhaps the easiest way to tone down the G7 would be a reduction in damage over range, or a tweak to the power of the Double Tap hop-up. Others have also suggested bringing the Scout back into a medium-range would balance it better, which would mean devs would have to take a microscope to the weapon’s damage-over-distance to shorten its effectiveness. There’s also been no indication when these balance changes might be pushed live by the devs, but considering Respawn’s massive Apex Legends Global Series is looming on the horizon, they may want to have the G7 figured out by then. The upcoming ALGS is a new Respawn-run esports circuit which boasts a $3 million prize pool. Because of how much is on the line, problem weapons like the G7 could be stamped out of the meta by the devs in the short-term, rather than risk having one or two weapons wrap the meta on the global stage. Keep your eyes peeled for detailed numbers on the gun and grenade changes – considering Hewitt confirmed the balance team is already looking at tweaks, there’s every chance these adjustments could be in the pipeline very soon.

  • Apex Legends dev responds to ‘messy’ gun glitch plaguing supply bins – Dexerto

Apex Legends dev responds to ‘messy’ gun glitch plaguing supply bins Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment design director Jason McCord has responded to player concerns over a reoccurring glitch with Apex Legends supply bins that causes weapons and ammo to swap places, and players to pick the wrong loot. Like anyone who has ever played a battle royale knows — whether it be Apex, or other titles like Fortnite or PUBG — loot is the most important part of the game. The weapons you find can be the difference between victory and defeat. So, of course, players were up in arms when Apex’s supply bins, arguably the main source of gear in Respawn’s game, began bugging out. From swapping guns and ammo, to displaying the wrong items, the loot bins could no longer be trusted. The bug itself came when players opened new supply bins. When trying to select a certain gun or item, players would see a different pop-up prompt to what they were hovering over. This would lead to players selecting the wrong items. In a Reddit thread posted by miffed Apex player ‘HerefortheCapnCrunch’ on March 1, the issue can clearly be seen. While he’s aiming at a Peacekeeper, light ammo would be shown instead, and vice-versa for the ammo pile. When he went to pick up the 40x stack of light ammo, the player would be prompted to grab the Peacekeeper instead. Strangely enough, the R301-Carbine beside the ammo seemed not to be affected by the same issue as the shotgun. The video below first appeared in this Reddit thread. The same issue has also plagued attachment and meds as well, meaning players have been left without barrels, stocks, and hop-ups they thought they’d equipped earlier, or stuck with no crucial healing equipment after a gunfight. “The loot boxes right now are a mess. We need to keep reminding them that this is an issue,” the afflicted Apex fan said alongside his 22-second video revealing the glitched supply bin, and other fans agreed too. “Honestly, yeah, can’t even begin to explain how much useless loot I accidentally pick up or stuff being taken out from under my nose because of this exact issue,” ‘bjorn_with_an_axe’ said in response to the March 1 clip. Luckily, it seems like the major supply bin issue — and the problems it can cause for Apex players who are looting on the fly, or in a high-pressure situation — appear to already be on Respawn’s radar, as McCord revealed. “Yeah, we know. We got a fix coming!” the title’s design director said, before thanking the player who had shared the clip for their help in highlighting the issue. Unfortunately, McCord was relatively quiet on how they’re planning on fixing the problem, and when Apex players will be able to trust their eyes when it comes to supply bins again. There’s also relatively few details on Respawn’s Trello board. Comment byu/HerefortheCapnCrunch from discussion inapexlegends This isn’t the first time Apex has had problems with looting either. Recently, players were left scratching their heads as death boxes — which drop chock-full of gear after a player’s death — would disappear underneath the map. Supply bins have also failed to avoid controversy before too. In Season 2, the loot-filled bins became lethal jumping castles, which players could use to fire themselves far into the air if they timed the glitch just right. Both of these bugs were coded out by Respawn soon after they were discovered, so one can only hope the new and potentially game-deciding glitch denying players the right loot is on the chopping block as soon as possible too.

  • Apex dev diary accidentally shows the next Legend – Dexerto

Apex dev diary accidentally shows the next Legend Respawn EntertainmentAhead of Season 20, Respawn Entertainment shared a dev diary showcasing changes galore. It also showed off a brief look at the next Apex Legend. It’s been five years since Apex Legends took the battle royale genre by storm, blending Titanfall and the titular genre to make something new. It’s been a wild ride since, as nineteen seasons of content have thoroughly changed the game. Coinciding with the fifth anniversary, Season 20 is on the horizon, and with it comes some of the biggest changes to date, including a performance mode for next-gen console players, a massive Ranked rework, and a revamp to the Legend and armor system. Respawn Entertainment shared an in-depth look at changes to come in a dev diary, which accidentally included a look at a new Skirmisher. Apex Legends Season 20 dev diary shares look at new Skirmisher In the latest dev diary, Apex Legends: Breakout, many critical members of Respawn share insights of what’s to come in Season 20. When speaking on the new Straight Shot mode, a sped-up form of the traditional battle royale mode, the Legend selection screen flashes a look at an extra icon among the Skirmisher class. Many of the eagle-eyed viewers who caught the sneak peek were excited, especially with the character’s design. “Why’s it look like an evil Valkyrie,” one replied eerily noting the similarities between both Skirmishers. Season 20 won’t launch with a new Legend, meaning it’ll be some time before we have any indicator of who this character could be. That said, recent leaks point to it possibly being “Cave” a Legend with a wall-portal ability, with this ability a popular talking point for quite some time. If true, it could lead to some interesting strategies and techniques as players find ways to outplay each other, or even break the game itself with out-of-bounds plays. Again, it’ll be some time before any information comes out, but at least this sneak peek will be enough to keep Apex Legends fans glued to the future of the title.

  • Is Forge really dead? Apex Legends dev responds – Dexerto

Is Forge really dead? Apex Legends dev responds Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends developer has confirmed that new character Forge is definitely dead, seemingly putting to bed theories that he could still be alive. James ‘The Forge’ McCormick, typically known just as ‘Forge’, was first introduced as the new Legend for Season 4 in a developer stream on January 23. The announcement came as a surprise to many fans, with leaks having previously suggested that Revenant would instead be the new character debuting in the upcoming season. Things were not all as they initially appeared, however. On January 27, Respawn released a video which saw Forge being interviewed after finally qualifying for the Apex games, only for the interview to be abruptly ended by the arrival of Revenant, who appeared behind Forge and stabbed him in the back. This, along with indications in Apex Legends itself, suggested that Forge was not going to actually make it into the games, and that his place would be taken by Revenant instead. Fans haven’t been totally satisfied with this explanation, however, with many theorizing that Forge may yet have survived. Unfortunately, it seems those theories may now have been nullified, as Respawn Senior Animator Moy Parra confirmed that Forge was in fact murdered, and he is now “super duper dead.” Yes. Forge was murdered. He is dead. As dead as it gets. Super duper dead. ⚰️? #RIP On a scale from 1 to 10 that he could be alive, he’s at 0. Hope this helps ? — Moy Parra (@_moyparra) January 30, 2020 Even despite this apparent confirmation, some fans are still not convinced that there aren’t further twists yet to be revealed. Some have pointed to the tone of the tweet, which could be read as slightly sarcastic, while others have claimed the ‘crossed fingers’ emoji could be an indication that the developer isn’t telling the whole truth. It certainly does seem odd that Respawn would go to the trouble of developing a complete new Legend simply as a means of misdirecting players as to the real new character being released in Season 4, especially as that misdirection only really lasted for a few days. Whatever the whole truth is, it seems likely that fans may have to wait for Season 4 to arrive on February 4 to find out.

  • Apex Legends actor reveals just how secretive Respawn was before release – Dexerto

Apex Legends actor reveals just how secretive Respawn was before release Apex Legends voice actor Erica Luttrell, who plays veteran soldier Bangalore in Respawn’s battle royale, has revealed just how much secrecy went into the game’s development ahead of its surprise release in February this year. Luttrell was one of the original voice actors brought into the development of Respawn’s first-ever battle royale release, and saw first-hand how closely guarded the secrets of the game were by both the developers, and publisher EA. Luttrell, who recounted her experiences with creating the character of Anita “Banglore” Williams to fellow Apex voice actor Chris Edgerly in his Edgevoice podcast, revealed she would get “coded messages” from Respawn. After auditioning for the role, and successfully being brought on board, Luttrell soon discovered just how quiet the whole game was being kept—a decision Respawn and EA stuck to all the way to their shock February, 2019 release. Not only was the Bangalore actor asked to record all of her early voice lines in her own studio, which for a time consisted of “a closet studio with a phone recorder,” and send them back through audio transfers, she was also given most of Bangalore’s information in secret codes and jumbled messages. “All of the information was sent to us in packages with coded names, the names of the characters were jumbled and different, and I basically just knew that I was playing a military character, so I had to choose a voice off a few clues,” she said. “Recently I got a studio-quality mic and I do lines on that now, but for a time it was just off the phone and with a small setup. I was using an Apogee MiC, before upgrading after the Apex recordings. I’m not a sound engineer.” Despite not hearing many details about the game itself, or how her voice lines would eventually be used, Luttrell admitted she “had a feeling” the game was going to be big: a premonition that has clearly come true 10 months down the line. “I still don’t really understand the scope of the game, because I didn’t really have much exposure to it when I was learning the character and recording, but I did think that it was going to be this big,” she said. “I don’t think there’s really a way to know [when you’re working]. You don’t ever really know, you have no sense. With video games especially, you sign NDAs (non-disclosure agreements) and you can’t talk about it with people. “There were a few stages where I didn’t even know what I was really doing, on a grand scale, I had a half-page for my character and that was really all I had to go off for what it was going to be like. Even that wasn’t much to go off.” Despite not playing the game itself—Luttrell admits she doesn’t have time for competitive gaming—the voice behind Bangalore revealed she’s had a “great response” from those who have become involved with the battle royale. “People are always pretty keen to tell me that they’re happy I look the same as Bangalore, though I hope I’m a little bit more chipper than her,” she said. “Like I said though, there was no idea of how big the game was going to be, and I feel like even the developers and creators really had an idea of what they had on their hands. Now it’s this bigger thing than I think any really expected.” Read: Incredible Bangalore skin idea works perfectly with her military roots And, although she’s never really stepped foot in the blood-soaked virtual worlds of King’s Canyon or World’s Edge, and has no interest in connecting to Apex’s full lore, Luttrell admits she does have a “deep connection” with Bangalore herself. “I don’t want to be too invested in the world, I want to be invested in the character I’m playing,” she said. “Knowing too much impedes your ability to do the work, I think. I don’t want to be a fan of the game, I want to be a fan of Bangalore.” Like Luttrell said though, Apex has already exploded in popularity, perhaps more than even Respawn expected. The title is already preparing for its fourth season, another new Legend, and many more LTMs and events on the horizon. Now, it seems, it may take a little push for Luttrell to jump into a game with Edgerly and the rest of her fellow voice actors. Maybe that would be a great spectacle for Respawn to organize now that they’re being a little less secretive about the voice stars at the core of the game.

  • Another stuffed puppy found in unexpected area of Apex Legends map – Dexerto

Another stuffed puppy found in unexpected area of Apex Legends map Among the various Easter Eggs in Apex Legends are small toy puppies that have been found at random spots on the map, and now another one has popped up in a very unexpected location. On April 7, Reddit user ‘tuckatummy‘ posted a video that showed him finding a small black puppy in the training area of the game, a location that is very much separate from the main map where matches are played. The puppy is located on one of the rock ledges relatively far up the wall of the canyon surrounding the training area, more specifically to the left of where players normally exit the hallway and slide down to get their weapons. The exact area where the puppy can be found is actually pretty hard to get to, as it requires players to walk in a very specific path and climb on to specific ledges. In the video below, the player demonstrates exactly where the puppy is located and the path players need to follow in order to get up there. Why are there puppies in Apex Legends? The fact that there are puppies in Apex Legends, or the reason why they exist, is by no means a secret among the player-base. Shortly after the game’s release, when players began finding the mysterious toy dogs around the map, lead level designer Jacon McCord revealed that they were actually tributes to his own dog Shadie, who passed away while the game was still in development. “Our dog of 10 years passed away suddenly from health issues while I was working hard on Kings Canyon,” McCord tweeted out at the time. “As any animal lover knows, this was a crushing blow to my morale and made many days hard to come to work. Shadie was our best friend, and so I wanted her to live on in this little corner of the map. It legit makes me feel better to visit this area sometimes.” Here’s a picture of the shrine from the article. A dog plushie and a picture of Shadie with a picture of myself and my wife there for solidarity. 🙂 pic.twitter.com/J10k9SSjIo — Jason McCord (@MonsterclipRSPN) February 7, 2019 This is not the only stuffed dog toy that can be found in the training area. Just days after the game first was released, players were able to find one hidden again hidden in the canyon but towards the right side of the hallway exit. You can see a demonstration of how to find this puppy in the YouTube video below: Other Easter Eggs on Apex Legends Apart from the stuffed puppies, the other notable Easter Egg in Apex Legends is that of the Loch Ness Monster named Nessie and her small plushies that can be found throughout the map. Players who locate and shoot at all of the Nessie plushies on the map in the correct order will unlock an Easter Egg that sees a gigantic living version of Nessie the Loch Ness Monster appear out of the water. Of course that can be difficult to do since players will have to manage through enemy teams and the dangerous Ring to complete the Easter Egg.

  • Another strange Wattson fence bug discovered in Apex Legends Season 9 – Dexerto

Another strange Wattson fence bug discovered in Apex Legends Season 9 Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment is aware of another bug with Wattson’s fences, this time seeing a random beam of light emerge upwards from connected fences. Wattson has become a minor problem child for Respawn Entertainment of late, with much community discussion surrounding her. Despite sustained requests for a buff, Respawn has maintained that the Static Defender is viable and does not require significant adjustment. However, issues with her fences since the launch of Season 9 have affected her relative strength. Although some problems have been erased, more have surfaced as Season 9. This latest issue was highlighted by @lilakeyLK on Twitter, who said: “We‘re back at it again with another Wattson fence bug! Luckily this time, it’s much less severe than the stun bug. This patch, every time a node is connected, there is a beam of light that shoots upwards into the sky.” Attached to the tweet was a video showing exactly that. While not necessarily game-breaking, the bug may give Wattson’s location away, as well as being a general annoyance for players using her. Thankfully, Respawn developer ‘pav’ was on hand to respond, saying: “Going to look into this. Thanks!” With the bug being a minor annoyance, we can expect a fairly simple patch to be released in the near future. Lila elaborated on the problem, explaining that locating enemy Wattson players is incredibly simple: “It happens every time a fence is connected. You’re basically just firing off flares into the sky every time you use your tactical. I’ve experienced this in game already; where my team has an advantage by seeing these beams and knowing exactly where the enemy is set up.” It’s certainly not as invasive as some bugs lingering in Apex Legends, like this ‘stuttering’ bug that can determine the outcome of matches. It will probably constitute a more simple fix though. Respawn also uses the Apex Legends Trello board to track some bugs they are working on.

  • Another secret Horizon nerf found in Apex Legends ruins her Ultimate – Dexerto

Another secret Horizon nerf found in Apex Legends ruins her Ultimate Respawn EntertainmentHorizon’s Ultimate has been hit with a secret nerf in Apex Legends, making it impossible for the Black Hole to pull enemies through shields or walls. Following the Spellbound Collection Event. the community noticed that Horizon’s Gravity Lift had been hit with a secret nerf. Whereas before players received no accuracy penalty while using the ability, once the patch went live, the Gravitational Manipulator’s shots were incredibly difficult to land while hovering. Shortly after, Respawn reverted the changes but a dev confirmed that they would be implemented at a later date and had just been pushed out too early. Well, it turns out Horizon has been hit with another secret nerf but this time it’s for her Ultimate ability. The change not only makes her less strong, but it has also transformed another legend into a top-tier counter. Spellbound update secretly nerfs Horizon’s Ultimate As showcased by Bobz, alongside her Tactical, it turns out Horizon’s Ultimate ability was also nerfed in the Spellbound patch. Now, the Black Hole does not pull through shields, walls, or barriers, so it’s a lot easier to counter a hard push using Horizon’s Ultimate. Not only that, Gibraltar’s Dome of Protection is now a useful counter as placing it down and walking inside can protect an entire squad from the Black Hole. Once again, this change was not mentioned in the patch notes and it’s possible that Respawn pushed out the nerf too early. For now, there’s been no response from the devs on whether this nerf was deliberate or potentially even a bug. Either way, these changes to Horizon’s kit are guaranteed to affect her pick rate, especially when they degrade one of the strongest Ultimates in the game.

  • Another Rampart turret exploit with Caustic traps found in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Another Rampart turret exploit with Caustic traps found in Apex Legends Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered an interesting tactic where Rampart’s minigun can team up Caustic’s gas traps to make a pretty powerful pairing in tight spaces. With the start of Apex Legends Season 6, Rampart was finally introduced to the battle royale’s roster of Legends – bringing some unique abilities with her. While she can throw up Amped Cover to protect herself and team, as well as starting with increased magazine sizes, Rampart’s biggest weapon – literally – comes in the form of her Emplaced Minigun, Sheila. The powerful weapon can be placed down pretty much anywhere on the map – though, enemies do get a heads up on its location. Yet, if you pair her with Caustic, the minigun is good for two uses. As Reddit user MojangMemer pointed out, players can actually toss a Caustic trap on top of Sheila and it will stick there – it won’t fall off and end up standing to the side of the minigun. Though, as soon as you start using the minigun, the trap will activate – covering you in a cloud of Nox Gas. This means while you’re spraying down the sights with Rampart’s ultimate, anyone who tries to get close will suffer damage from the gas. Obviously, this could be pretty deadly, but the gas can also obscure the vision of the player using the minigun too. Plus, if an enemy has a deadly accurate shot, they can easily dispose of the gas trap by shooting the base of it. In the September 3 update, Respawn did patch an exploit where Rampart was able to shoot her minigun through Gibraltar’s dome, which made for an incredibly powerful pairing. It remains to be seen as to whether or not the devs will also have to address the way her minigun interacts with the Nox Gas, or if it’ll be left alone given that it shouldn’t really be as powerful as the Gibby dome combo.

  • Another Rampage exploit lets players swap weapons faster in Apex Legends – Dexerto

Another Rampage exploit lets players swap weapons faster in Apex Legends Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered a fresh issue with the charged up Rampage and Sentinel as they can now switch weapons faster for an advantage in fights. At the back end of 2021, the Rampage LMG and Sentinel sniper rifle became pretty problematic in Apex Legends thanks to exploits with their charged up states. After players found that they could inflict infinite amounts of increased damage and reload their weapons in the blink of an eye, Respawn took a massive step to change things by temporarily removing both weapons from the battle royale. Neither weapon was out of the loot pool for too long, however, as Apex has moved into Season 12: Defiance, a few other issues have continued to crop up. Following the seasonal update, players have found ways to, once again, instantly charge both weapons, as well as being able to pull off the speedy reloads. On top of that, some fans have uncovered that they can now also use the buggy weapons to switch to their secondary weapon a little quicker than normal. Redditor Luna-Dragon demonstrated the difference, and it’s not exactly blink and you’ll miss it type stuff – there is a pretty notable speed difference. While the demonstration was done using the Rampage, other players claimed they’d tested it with the Sentinel and found it worked exactly the same way, so, they’d get a leg up in fights through switching weapons. Now, while the exploit might seem like one you might fancy using, it could also land you in hot water. While it might not seem like it in every situation, it is manipulating the game to get an advantage, and that’s bannable. It could be the case that Respawn crack down on it before long and eliminate the exploit altogether. Though, we’ll just have to wait and see on that front.

  • Another new weapon spotted in Apex Legends artwork – Dexerto

Another new weapon spotted in Apex Legends artwork Respawn EntertainmentEagle-eyed Apex Legends fans have spotted a new weapon in Respawn’s latest artwork that hasn’t been announced yet. Respawn revealed that they have plenty of content planned for next season of Apex Legends, after finally announcing the arrival of Rampart in the ‘Boosted Trailer’ on August 6. It was also shared that the classic Volt SMG from Titanfall would be making its return in Season 6, but it seems as if another weapon is also in the works. Compound bow coming to Apex Legends? Artwork posted by a Respawn artist was shared on Twitter and Reddit after some noticed an unfamiliar weapon and ammo type as floor loot in Kings Canyon. The artwork was initially shared by Respawn’s Principal Lighting artist Austin Arnett on Artstation, but has since been removed following speculation about the weapon. Apex Legends data miner shrugtal was among the first to point it out, highlighting this new weapon in the now-deleted image. “Hey, that’s a compound bow,” shrugtal simply added, circling the ranged weapon. The image itself portrayed the inside of Crypto’s Map Room in Kings Canyon, with the compound bow inside a pile of loot, next to the hologram. It’s not photoshop, here’s another angle if u want it pic.twitter.com/FNIFuoMhRk — Rendergram (@RenderGram_Ind) August 6, 2020 Although some fans were initially skeptical, Rendergram revealed a second image, which also seems to have been deleted, of the bow in another location. Shrugtal revealed that the new arrow ammo type had previously been added to the game’s files but he expected it to be released as part of the leaked paintball LTM. Respawn has yet to introduce any type of bow into the game (well, unless you count the “Longbow DMR” sniper) and it would be the first in its class if it was to be added. It is unclear just when this new “Compound Bow” could be arriving in Apex Legends but, with the artwork releasing amid other Season 6 teasers, it could be as early as next season.

  • Another insane Apex Legends bug makes Gibraltar very overpowered – Dexerto

Another insane Apex Legends bug makes Gibraltar very overpowered It turns out that Gibraltar’s shield in Apex Legends has more uses than just protecting him from incoming fire, as players have discovered it is actually pretty sticky too – and will allow him to bounce around with some help from Octane. Octane, the first new legend added to the game alongside Season 1: Wild Frontier, comes equipped with a bounce pad as his ultimate ability, which teammates and enemies can use to get a boost off the ground. However, with some ingenuity, the bounce pad can actually be attached to Gibraltar’s shield, and then by looking down towards the ground, will send him flying through the air. Apex Legends players find new uses for Gibraltar’s shield It’s the second exploit that has been discovered in as many days, involving Gibraltar’s shield, which admittedly, is otherwise pretty useless. First, players discovered that Caustic’s gas traps could attached, and then stacked upon, the shield, creating a massive jousting rod out of nothing but lethal gas traps. Perhaps even more ridiculous is this Octane version of the exploit however, which essentially turns Gibraltar into a massive bouncy ball. And this exploit is just cheap gimmick either – as it turns out that from Gibraltar’s perspective, the bounce pad is entirely see-through, so you can even aim and take out enemies with the pad attached. You can see what the move looks like from Gibraltar’s perspective in the clip below, which demonstrates just how crazy his movement suddenly becomes. As with the gas trap exploit, we expect developers Respawn Entertainment will be pretty quick to patch these bugs, but some players might be hoping they take their time with that update for once. The developers certainly saw the funny side of the Gibraltar’s new-found usefulness though, and complimented the community on their ability to find the most absurd exploits.

  • Another Apex Legends glitch spot prevents players from taking damage – Dexerto

Another Apex Legends glitch spot prevents players from taking damage An Apex Legends player encountered a bizarre glitch that allows players to hide inside a rock. Reddit user enntropy-revealed came across a seemingly innocuous rock on the World’s Edge map that allowed his opponent to both hide from sight within it, and be shielded from incoming shots while doing so. While it’s possible to move in and out of the rock, it’s not possible to shoot through it, meaning that it can be used for cover in the middle of a firefight, as enntropy-revealed discovered. In this instance, the glitch was used to duck in and out of cover, forcing the player’s opponents to get up close and into the rock themselves in order to finally eliminate them. It’s very possible, however, that it could also be used as a hiding place, either to simply wait out games for easier high placements, or ambush unsuspecting opponents as they pass. This isn’t the first time that Apex players have encountered such a glitch. When World’s Edge first arrived with Season 3 in October, players found another rock in which they could hide in this manner, but it now appears that this wasn’t the only location in which this glitch can occur. Currently, the bug is not featured on the Apex Tracker, which keeps a record of which bugs the developers are working on as well as those they’re aware of. It seems that Respawn are therefore not currently addressing the issue, although how long it may take to identify and solve the bug remains to be seen. It’s worth noting that the developers have little tolerance for players exploiting obvious glitches, having recently announced that they would be rolling out punishments for those that have been using the “dashboarding” trick to avoid penalties for leaving ranked games, so it’s probably best to avoid making use of this bug yourself. It’s very possible players could face retrospective penalties if they are deemed to have been acting against the spirit of the game, even if doing so doesn’t involve anything that is strictly prohibited like aim hacking.

  • Annoying new Apex Legends item bug accidentally nerfs Mirage – Dexerto

Annoying new Apex Legends item bug accidentally nerfs Mirage Respawn EntertainmentThe newly updated Gold Backpack in Apex Legends does allow you to carry more gear, but it also makes Mirage’s passive ability practically useless at the same time. An update to gold-level backpacks was added in along with Apex’s March 9 update that also saw the Caustic Town Takeover event go live as well. At first they seemed like minor cosmetic changes, but Mirage players soon found out they basically can’t use the item now without unintentionally nerfing the legend’s “Now you see me…” Passive. This ability allows Mirage to cloak and go invisible when he’s reviving a teammate off the ground or with a Respawn Beacon, and to disappear and spawn a hologram when he gets downed as well. Here is where the problem arises with the Gold Backpack: when someone has it equipped while reviving someone, there is now what devs call a “charged” effect to show that someone’s getting picked up. After the player is revived, they will also glow temporarily in the color of their shield to indicate that a Guardian Angel revive occurred. If Mirage has a Gold pack on while reviving a teammate, that “crackle” of energy still appears even when he’s invisible and goes from a neat effect to a dead giveaway, practically making his passive useless when reviving a teammate mid-fight. Hope this is changed soon, but right now Mirage’s passive is spoiled if you have a gold backpack 😕 (via u/the28thSkeptic) pic.twitter.com/qqCM7bX1FI — Apex Legends News (@alphaINTEL) March 15, 2021 It honestly seems like the devs just forgot to change or disable the effects when he’s using the item, but the glitch is definitely not good news for Mirage mains either way since they can’t pick up the high-level bag without sacrificing one of the legend’s valuable stealth abilities. There’s no word on when Respawn will implement a fix, or if there even aware of the bug at the moment, but we’ll keep you updated on when a solution is coming as soon as the news breaks (which will hopefully soon). Until then if you want to avoid this bug, as much as it breaks our hearts to say it, you’re probably better off just not picking Mirage at all. That, or if you do roll with the Holographic Trickster anyways, just know the Gold Backpack might be tempting, but they will make you stick out like a sore thumb.

  • Annoying Mad Maggie bug nerfs her Riot Drill in Apex Legends Season 12 – Dexerto

Annoying Mad Maggie bug nerfs her Riot Drill in Apex Legends Season 12 Respawn/EAA bug with the interaction between Mad Maggie’s Riot Drill and Newcastle’s Mobile Shield has somewhat nerfed Apex Legends’ favorite warlord, and players aren’t too pleased. When Mad Maggie was introduced to Apex Legends back in Season 12, her abilities were immediately of interest to those aggressive, kill-hungry players that dominate in the Apex Games. Thanks to her Warlord’s Ire, the Rebel Warlord is able to see, for a brief second, where enemies are scampering to after she’s dealt damage to them, and her Riot Drill also helps smoke them out of any potential hiding hole. The Riot Drill is not only able to blast through bits of cover that are a part of the map, but also other legend abilities such as Crypto’s drone and Gibraltar’s dome. It had also been able to deal damage through Newcastle’s Mobile Shield, but not anymore. A number of Redditors, including Sweatyeagle8497, have noted that, since the recent Awakening Collection Event update, Maggie is no longer able to deal damage through Newcastle’s shield. As Sweatyeagle8497 showed in their clip, the Riot Drill will attach to the shield for a brief second, but it won’t explode into action. Instead, it’ll just act as if you’ve wasted ability, and the charge will be returned so you can try again. Some players immediately drew comparisons between the Riot Drill and Loba’s Bracelet, seeing as the charge returns and you’re able to use it again instantly. “This season is just broken,” said one. “This was from this update, I have been fried by a Maggie while using Newcastle’s tac shield before,” added another. The original poster noted that they’ve brought it to EA Help’s attention, but it’s unknown, as of yet, if it’s gotten through to Respawn’s team. Given that it’s a bugged interaction, it can very likely be fixed through a hotfix rather a full-blown update, so maybe it’ll be addressed before long. We’ll just have to wait and see.

  • Annoying Apex Legends looting bug prevents players picking up items – Dexerto

Annoying Apex Legends looting bug prevents players picking up items Respawn EntertainmentA number of Apex Legends players are calling for Respawn to make adjustments to looting, as it has become clear that there are a number of glitches when it comes to picking up items. When it comes to a battle royale game, looting is one of the most important features for developers to perfect. Players want a system that is quick and efficient, enabling them to focus on surviving and killing opponents. In general, Apex Legends’ looting system has been praised for being both quick and efficient, but, as the game approaches a year-and-a-half old, some players are taking issue with emergent glitches. One Apex Legends fan gave a perfect example of this issue, asking why looting has become so inconsistent recently. Their annoyance was echoed by a host of other Apex Legends players, many of whom have experienced similar issues. Attached to the post was a clip showing a player opening a supply bin, before trying – and failing – to pick up the Heavy Ammo from in the bin. The game seems to push the player towards the weapon, much to the player’s irritation. Many others agreed that the game tends to prioritize weapons over ammo, even if the player is doing their best to ignore the gun being offered. “That moment when I hold down the key to switch the ammo with something in my bag but instead it drops my fully maxed out weapon and picks up the p2020 next to it,” one fan wrote. “Literally this, it seems to prioritize weapons over ammo but it messes up mah groove, PLEASE TURN IT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL,” another agreed. Judging from the responses of other players, the issue seems to be fairly widespread and affecting a host of fans on different platforms. Unfortunately, the issue is not yet listed on Respawn’s official Trello page, so a fix may be further away than most players want.

  • Annoying Apex Legends Jump Pad glitch resurfaces – Dexerto

Annoying Apex Legends Jump Pad glitch resurfaces Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players continue to encounter Octane’s Jump Pad glitch despite Respawn’s patch notes stating it had been fixed. Like most multiplayer games, Apex Legends is home to its fair share of bugs and glitches. While some can prove extremely useful, there are a number that often ruins games or upset the flow of combat. One such glitch that has had a detrimental effect on gameplay is that of the Octane Jump Pad glitch. This frustrating bug has plagued Octane players for a while now, but the recent Ascension Patch had supposedly fixed it. It finally seemed Octane mains would no longer be locked in a perpetual loop of never-ending double jumps. However, it has now been reported that Respawns fix has done little to alleviate this issue. The really troubling thing about this glitch is that it occurs whenever the player uses Octane’s ultimate. Throwing down the Jump Pad and jumping midair can cause Octane players to get stuck in a never-ending double jump animation. Of course, this isn’t exactly ideal when you’re aiming to get the drop on an enemy squad or trying to make a rapid escape. The glitch has proven so frustrating that many Octane fans have resulted to simply abandoning the speed-loving Legend altogether. Reddit user, incredibly_sad posted the below clip in the official Apex Legends page. Things look normal until the player throws down Octane’s Jump Pad and quickly gets stuck in the glitch. Since uploading the clip, many other Octane players have stated they have encountered the same problem despite Respawn issuing a fix. It’s still unknown why this problem persists, but one Reddit user believes they have the answer. “From what I’ve gathered (from clips and playing Octane), if the secondary jump has a maximum location higher than the first jump’s maximum, the game will freak out and has a high chance of glitching,” says Mirage_Main. “The most common I’ve seen is where the double jump completely fails and makes the animation/sound, but you go right back to the trajectory you had before the secondary jump. In more extreme cases, the thing in OP’s [clip] happens.” This analysis certainly makes sense and hopefully, Respawn will be able to put an end to this glitch soon.

  • Annoying Apex Legends issue is causing Wraith players to die in the void – Dexerto

Annoying Apex Legends issue is causing Wraith players to die in the void Respawn EntertainmentWraith players in Apex Legends Season 4 are going to have to watch out for a new issue that can pretty much make their ability to enter the void useless. The character is one of the most popular in Respawn Entertainment’s booming battle royale game, although yet another in-game bug appears to be significantly tainting her ability to escape from danger and enter the void for a moment. This isn’t the only potential glitch to have reared its head since the title’s last major update, with Revenant players experiencing hitbox problems and downed legends actually being able to melee opponents on the ground, although this new problem might be the most shocking yet. The possible in-game bug was highlighted by Reddit user MagicznaFlet, who managed to capture footage of the problem and decided to share it with the Apex Legends subreddit. They posted: “So, apparently you can die in the void now,” along with a video that shows Wraith experiencing heavy damage, before jumping into the void and then being fired at by another player. There has been a suggestion by some players, though, that this may be caused by lag. Though, that’s unconfirmed. It’s unclear as to what the opponent could see during this clip, although it would appear that the Pathfinder who ran behind Wraith as she was knocked was able to do so using a grenade. Oddly, though, there was no explosion sound in the clip. More than one player have experienced the same thing, too. One posted: “This has happened to me a couple of times. So annoying,” while another posted: “This happens to me once daily.” Just like many other potential bugs in the Apex Games right now, this one is yet to be added to Respawn’s Apex Tracker Trello board, which is used to show fans the changes that are being implemented in new updates, as well as updating them on issues that are being monitored. It’s unclear as to how much longer Wraith players may suffer while using their ability, but one thing is for certain. If this is a glitch, the character is certainly not the most favorable for selection if you’re looking to be crowned the Champions of the Apex Games.

  • Annoying Apex Legends “door campers” can be deadly for unaware teams – Dexerto

Annoying Apex Legends “door campers” can be deadly for unaware teams Respawn EntertainmentPlayers use a wide variety of tactics to take down opponents in Apex Legends, but some are starting to come across a bizarre “door camping” trend from people looking for quick kills. It’s just like the name suggests; players are using doors to perch themselves out of sight until another unsuspecting team rolls by. It’s a simple strategy that is bound to net a couple of kills, since most users don’t make it a habit of checking every door’s frame. While not all entrances have a place to conceal an entire character model, those located inside of a facility could spell doom for the lackadaisical player who doesn’t clear their corners. However, overly-cautious members of the Apex community won’t have much of a problem countering the surprise attack, since it can be pretty easy to spot. Taking a cue from Reddit user ‘iwojima22,’ players can mitigate door campers by slowly creeping through a quiet corridor. In their clip, instead of running through the threshold of the next room, they stopped just before transitioning to the next part of the building. Whether this was because of the player’s high IQ game sense or sheer luck, the decision let them spot something out of the ordinary in the corner of their screen. Since they didn’t just run through, they were able to make out a pair of legs that turned out to belong to an opposing Lifeline, who was standing on top of the door. “That’s a pretty good way to get the drop on someone, pun intended,” another user noted. “I know people hate camping but if someone isn’t ready for it, that could be an easy squad wipe.” It’s these kinds of plays that make people paranoid on World’s Edge. ‘Iwojima22’ was fortunate to spot out the first opponent, but it looks like they were still taken by surprise from the second person up there. They were able to make quick work of the two campers, though it wasn’t the cleanest of mop ups. This looks like it could be a new favorite strat for some Apex Legends players, so people should start being more careful around open doors.

  • Annoying Apex Legends bug is trapping players on supply ships – Dexerto

Annoying Apex Legends bug is trapping players on supply ships Respawn EntertainmentThe supply ships found on Apex Legends’ King’s Canyon map have always been dangerous and a stairwell bug that cages players within is the latest nightmarish discovery. Since Apex Legends’ inception in February 2019, the Supply Ships found on King’s Canyon have presented logistical difficulties. Not only are these mobile hotspots popular combat locations given the quality of the loot they hold, but they are similarly known for having a series of bugs and glitches. These issues disappeared on the World’s Edge map but returned for Season 5: Fortune’s Favor, and while the map may have received some major changes, it appears that some issues have remained the same. Like the wine cellar in Edgar Allen Poe’s “Cask of Amontillado,” a small staircase on these Supply Ships appears capable of becoming a ghastly trap, one that’s been very frustrating for players who come across it. Turns out, that if you get lodged underneath the stairs, there’s a chance that you may never leave them, as one Reddit user was unfortunate to discover. After “wondering why our mate didn’t help in the fight,” felixx2108 realized that their teammate was simply unable to. Spectating from death, they could see that their teammate was stuck beneath a staircase, desperately clawing (or, more appropriately, punching) in all directions with seeming intent to help out their outmanned remaining comrade. The rest of the Reddit comments detail a long-running list of Supply Ship bugs, including issues with trying to revive people there, getting trapped in walls, and even dying to its engines. As eloquently summed up by another user, “If you haven’t played since Season 0, a lesson for you: don’t f**k with the Supply Ship.” https://twitter.com/TheRealJR3Y/status/1095446007737769985 Apex Legends is a game known for its insane mobility and concurrent gameplay fluidity, where players are able to navigate the terrain seamlessly and find innumerable innovative ways to maneuver around the environment. It appears that, while the bug when reviving teammates seems to have been fixed, players must now be careful when brushing against the Supply Ship’s walls and stairwells in unorthodox fashions—especially when it’s moving. Hopefully this is addressed soon, but there’s been no word from Respawn Entertainment just yet.

  • Annoying Apex Legends bug is completely ruining Octane’s ultimate – Dexerto

Annoying Apex Legends bug is completely ruining Octane’s ultimate Respawn/EAApex Legends players have uncovered a strange new bug that is making Octane’s Launch Pad ultimate pretty useless and stopping them from jumping huge distances. Ever since Apex Legends season five got underway, Octane, who introduced to the roster of characters back in season one, has encountered a few problems – mainly with his Launch Pad ultimate ability. Fans have revealed how Mirage’s decoy can be used to get rid of jump pads – both in the wild and at the Gauntlet. However, there is a new problem that has begun cropping up that is preventing players from getting some huge airtime by using the pads. The issue was pointed out by Reddit user PeeceePingu, who had been trying to use the Launch Pad to jump across the map by The Broken Coast. As it happened, the Redditor’s hopes of completing the daredevil jump were dashed. As they started to get a boost from the jump pad before coming back down to earth – almost as if the game didn’t register that the pad was there after the fact. As a result of this, instead of jumping across the gaping chasm, PeeceePingu was dropped off the side of the map and quickly eliminated from the game. Upon seeing the problem, other players noted that they’d run into the same thing – with some going as far as swearing off using Octane in the battle royale until the problem is fixed. Another player, Kalhmeras96, suggested that the new issue might be location-based as they claimed it has happened to them a few times in the same area. Though, others noted that it has happened elsewhere too. Respawn recently revealed that the adrenaline junkie, alongside Lifeline, is under consideration for a rework moving forward. So, we could see changes to his abilities anyway. However, players will be hoping that the developers can get this new problem addressed before they give the legend any major surgery. Yet, it remains to be seen if they can get it figured out anytime soon.

  • AnneMunition baffled by bizarre Octane Launch Pad fail in Apex Legends – Dexerto

AnneMunition baffled by bizarre Octane Launch Pad fail in Apex Legends Popular Twitch streamer AnneMunition encountered a strange interaction in Apex Legends with Octane’s Jump Pad Ultimate, which didn’t make the ability work as intended. Respawn’s battle royale has a roster of Legends who bring their own playstyles to the Apex Games. While there are more defensive and support-minded characters, Legends like Octane are meant to create plays out of nothing with their ability kit. However, things didn’t work out too well for AnneMunition, seeing as she was looking to make a big play on an incoming squad, which would’ve worked to perfection – but the game didn’t let her. During her December 10 stream playing as Octane, Anne found herself on the low ground when her teammate was suddenly engaged by an attack team. Luckily, the Adrenaline Junkie’s ultimate was fully charged, so the streamer immediately threw it down to hoist herself into the heat of battle. While the lift of a Jump Pad would have AnneMunition at the perfect height and trajectory to take the other team by surprise, the Ultimate didn’t give her much lift at all. A second attempt yielded the exact same results, so she had to abandon the plan and find another way to scale the building. But the straightforward approach got her quickly downed, seeing as the enemy squad had already rotated around that side of the structure. After being quickly eliminated, Anne tried to make sense of what happened, but was still perplexed by the interaction. “I went to Jump Pad above them, and right where my Jump Pad was, apparently there’s an invisible wall or something,” she said. “… I thought that maybe I missed it the first time so I tried it again, and I don’t know. I must have had a defective Jump Pad, I guess.” In both of her leaps, it looks like the jump’s path cuts shortly before takeoff – reducing her launch down to a glorified hop. It’s unclear if there was a glitch with the Jump Pad or if an invisible element was blocking AnneMunition’s path. Either way, this would be something the Respawn devs would look to fix, seeing as the bug essentially rendered Octane’s Ultimate useless.

  • American College becomes first to offer Apex Legends scholarship – Dexerto

American College becomes first to offer Apex Legends scholarship Apex Legends has quickly become one of the most popular games in the world, and an American college is attempting to use the game’s growth to attract students by offering the first scholarship for the battle royale title. Apex Legends broke the 50 million players barrier in the first month of its release, marking an incredible rise since the game went live on Monday, February 4. With the game sitting at the top of Twitch, it seems Becker College in Massachusetts is hoping to use the immense popularity of the title among the gaming community to entice potential students to pick the school. First reported by Digital Trends, Becker College have announced that they have partnered with Helix Esports and Team Genji to offer an Apex Legends scholarship fund that will give top players $5,000 to put towards their education. Becker College esports manager Timothy Loew said: “Our goal is to give top Apex Legends players a unique chance to combine their talents with an education. Becker is excited to shape the future of competitive gaming.” As part of the scholarship program, Becker College, in conjunction with Team Genji and Helix Esports, will be holding a combine in New Jersey in April where analytics and statistics will be identify players who should apply for the scholarship, with Becker aiming to have a team in place for the fall of 2019. Becker College already has ties to the world of esports, as it was the first college to have a varsity esports program in Massachusetts, while also being the first college in the U.S. to have an esports management bachelor degree. While Becker College may be opening an Apex Legends scholarship, the game’s esports scene is still relatively small, with no official word from Respawn Games as to when we will receive more information regarding the competitive future of the title.

  • Amelia Watson yells at YouTube fans poking fun at Hololive star’s Apex Legends skills – Dexerto

Amelia Watson yells at YouTube fans poking fun at Hololive star’s Apex Legends skills YouTube: Amelia Watson / Respawn EntertainmentAmelia Watson has been diving into the new Apex Legends season, but her chat has been taking every opportunity to poke fun at her skills. So, after one mishap in-game, she dished back a bit of the banter and put an end to the spam — kind of. With Apex Legends Season 12 finally dropping, millions of players have been dropping in to see what all the changes are about — Amelia Watson included. An avid FPS gamer, she loves the pace of the battle royale to hone her reflexes. Amelia was trying to climb from the depths of Bronze in Apex Legends’ new season. She was having a couple of okay games, but in one specific game near the end of her stream she fell down to an opponent and started backseating her allies. Once her team wiped the enemy they were fighting, she cheered and maybe slightly oversold her contribution to the fight: “Yay. I helped, I got two kills — wait no that’s theirs. I got one kill at least.” She got res’d in by her teammate, but her chat were poking fun at her for dying in the first place and miscounting how many frags she got, spamming “copium”. Amelia had enough though, putting an end to her viewers’ teasing. “Okay ‘copium’ is now going to be an auto-ban. Type it again — okay not yet I’ve got to put it in the bot. Alright, that’s what you guys want,” she said, holding back the laughter. She ended up dropping into a safe spot just to add ‘copium’ to her chat filter, but her reasoning wasn’t necessarily tied to the teasing though: “I don’t like it, it sounds like a dumb word.” It also did nothing to stop the viewer spam at the end of the day. Instead, they spammed ‘hopium’ and fake deleted message commands. The related segment begins at 1:36:17. She did manage to rank up though, pushing from the lowest rank of Bronze 4 to Bronze 3. It’s still a while until she catches up to Minato Aqua in Master, but Watson isn’t letting anyone talk down to her as she continues her climb.

  • Have AMD accidentally leaked the Apex Legends Season 1 release date? – Dexerto

Have AMD accidentally leaked the Apex Legends Season 1 release date? Respawn Entertainment / AMD TwitterThe release date for Season 1 of Apex Legends has been shrouded in mystery, but AMD might have given some clearer insight on when to expect it. Respawn Entertainment recently released the game’s first weapon balance patch while teasing a future update that would usher in the game’s first season. Though information was scarce, it seems AMD has provided enough details to spur speculation. AMDGaming routinely incorporates hit titles to promote their hardware, but one of their latest tweets gave rise to many believing that Apex Legend’s Season 1 would start March 12. Two of Apex Legend’s most popular weapons caught nerfs this week, and Tuesday ushers in balance patches for some of your favorite Legends. Battle Pass and Season 1 are on the horizon, but you can read more about upcoming changes from @pcgamer right now. https://t.co/z6lSeWVnQW pic.twitter.com/wOQZ4Yqthw — AMDGaming (@AMDGaming) March 9, 2019 In their message they said that Tuesday would be bringing updates to Legends in the game, which sparked intrigue since Respawn had announced the changes wouldn’t happen until the start of Season 1. “Two of Apex Legend’s most popular weapons caught nerfs this week, and Tuesday ushers in balance patches for some of your favorite Legends,” AMDGaming said. “Battle Pass and Season 1 are on the horizon…” In a March 8 Check-In, the devs announced that AMD recently joined them in their studio to improve stability and performances on PC. Leading some to wonder if AMD learned anything new about the upcoming season during their trip. AMD was quick to deny any sort of leak, instead saying their wording was a mistake and they believed a patch was coming March 12 which would contain more information on the season’s debut. Though the confession was enough to settle some speculation, the tweet comes at a pivotal point as Apex Legends players are eagerly awaiting Season 1’s impending release.

  • Amazing Pathfinder animatronic gets nod of approval from Apex Legends devs – Dexerto

Amazing Pathfinder animatronic gets nod of approval from Apex Legends devs Respawn Entertainment / Stef G. YouTubeA creative Apex Legends fan engineered Pathfinder’s head, complete with reactive voice lines and LED lights, and it’s so good that it even got the seal of approval from Respawn. A lot of Apex players have a soft spot for the wise-cracking Forward Scout who’s taken an identity on his own throughout the years of lore in the battle royale. As one of the original cast of the game, he’s been a fan-favorite for a while. That love eventually resulted in ‘nuubje006,’ who goes by Stef Geukens on Twitter and YouTube, putting together a robust, 3D-printed Pathfinder loaded with hundreds of voice lines straight from the game. A software engineer and graphical interface, dashboard designer by trade, Geukens put his interests in programming and electronics to make the whole thing come together. “Made myself a Pathfinder head from scratch that talks to me in these lonely times ‘You and me, friend!,’” Geukens said. “I just wanted people to see him.” Just on the surface level, the aesthetic really nails down the modified MRVN with decals and wear-and-tear that’s fitting of an Apex Legend. The user put in a boot-up animation that lets you see and hear when Pathy comes to life with flashing lights to boot. There’s an insane attention to detail, with Geukens using an arduino, speakers, LED lights, an SD card reader, 15 different ARGB profiles (for the lights), and an MP3. His build attracted a lot of people’s attention, with Respawn Artist who goes by ‘Xajai_’ boosting up the project: “This is so awesome!!! such a cool project!” It even got Pathfinder’s voice actor, Chris Edgerly, to jokingly ask Respawn for his very own version since he was so taken with the creation. “Hey [Respawn] can you make me one of these? Pretty please?” Edgerly said on Twitter. While it looks complex, Geukens says the project was all self-taught and encouraged more people to try out a Pathfinder build of their own.

  • Amazing Apex Legends Wattson art electrifies fans – Dexerto

Amazing Apex Legends Wattson art electrifies fans Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends fan artist SK_Jynx has come up with some stunning fan art of Wattson that has taken the internet by storm – and it’s fair to say that this is one of the best we’ve ever seen. While it may not have knocked Fortnite off the Battle Royale throne, Apex Legends has created a hardcore fanbase that keeps returning to the game each and every day. Outside of the players who dive into Kings Canyon, however, lays an incredibly creative player base that regularly impresses with their creations. We regularly see stunning cosplays of legends like Wraith and Lifeline, as well as fan art of other the wide cast of characters, but one fan has taken things to the next level with an insane image that shows Wattson taking a break from the hustle and bustle of combat. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user Sk_Jynx showed off their incredible creation that takes the character that was released in season two and removes the weight of the battle royale fighting off her shoulders. Sk_Jynx’s places Wattson high above King’s Canyon, seemingly relaxing and taking some time for herself, without the orange and blue jumpsuit that has become synonymous with the Legend. The incredibly detailed post even highlights the bond that Wattson has with electricity, as the artist has taken some time to highlight damage on her skin. Have some Wattson fanart! Taking some time off and relaxing > from r/apexlegends The post even blew the artist’s fellow Redditors away, as many were impressed by what they had seen. User v1point0 posted: “Wow! Some high quality art! Great job.” user Ongyon echoed that sentiment by stating: “Awesome! Deserves to be front page.” Another, user that_guy_you_remembe, added: “Awesome fan art. It looks so good I thought it was a loading screen lol.”

  • Amazing Apex Legends Lifeline cosplay perfectly captures her personality – Dexerto

Amazing Apex Legends Lifeline cosplay perfectly captures her personality EAThe entire Apex Legends roster lends itself nicely to cosplays and this Lifeline one might be the best we’ve seen yet. Lifeline has been a popular pick in Apex Legends since launch due to her ability to help out any squad composition with her healing skills. Outside of the game, she’s also a popular character to cosplay because of her elaborate outfit and the challenge it brings. Apex Legends characters were bound to be popular Halloween costumes, and with that day fast approaching, we’re starting to see some of them. Reddit user athenuts showed off her Lifeline cosplay, complete with the red hair, IVs, and vest and we have to say, it looks pretty great. Lifeline isn’t the easiest cosplay to pull off but with this user’s attention to detail, she was able to make it look like it was no big deal. Her outfit is actually pretty difficult to nail so it’s always impressive to see someone do it. Of course, the internet, especially Reddit, can be a place with many trolls, but the original poster was able to hold her ground nicely against them. She explained how she made the costume almost completely from scratch. “I made the hairband and doctors mask myself, got the gloves from the cleaning cabinet, already had the west and IV bag, just got the red hairspray for 5dollars, all about working with what you got,” she wrote. We’re sure there will be plenty of Apex Legends costume this year for Halloween and every single character has a design that’s perfect for a cosplay. Of course, you’ll run into some problems with a few of the characters such as Pathfinder and Octane, but the rest of the roster could potentially work. We’ve seen people tackle the more difficult cosplays before, like at EA Play 2019 when we saw a whole group dressed as the characters from Apex. Crypto is the newest legend to enter the game and we haven’t really seen a whole lot of cosplay attempts out of him just yet, but he wouldn’t be too terribly difficult to tackle. Even more legends are planned for the future so keep an eye out for even more cosplay opportunities in the near future. There are at least 12 characters that have been leaked, but when they are releasing is another thing entirely.

  • Always be Closing LTM returning to Apex Legends with new leaked feature – Dexerto

Always be Closing LTM returning to Apex Legends with new leaked feature Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends leaks have revealed when the popular Always Be Closing LTM will return along with some new features that Respawn apparently has planned for the limited-time mode. Respawn has introduced plenty of limited-time modes in Apex Legends, which add some unique twists to the battle royale’s standard gameplay experience. One such LTMs is ‘Always be Closing’, a game mode where the safe zone constantly shrinks from the moment you drop in, and has been leaked to return as Season 5’s final game mode. When will Always Be Closing LTM return? Apex Legends leakers have now revealed just when the fan-favorite LTM, which boasts fast-paced action, will arrive and the new features that will likely be added. Reliable Apex data miner Shrugtal shared that Always Be Closing is scheduled to release on August 11, but also said that it will be coming back as an ‘Evolved’ game mode. As seen with the latest Armed and Dangerous playlist, the Evolved modes spawn players in with Evo Armor that can be upgraded and removes all Blue, Purple and Gold armor from the game. The Apex leaker also released a video on even more changes that could be added to the LTM, revealing that more teasers for the leaked Season 6 character, Rampart, will likely be added around this time. “The Rampart teasers should be in full swing by this time, which means that the paintball hop-up, otherwise known as the ‘Graffiti Mod,’ will be available in this game mode for the spitfire,” shrugtal added. This paintball hop-up, which has previously been leaked, is expected to potentially give the Spitfire 25% faster reload speed and 63 round mag for the spitfire, making it the weapon of choice for this LTM. It was also revealed that the Spitfire, this new hop-up, and heavy ammo would have significantly increased spawn rates in the game mode, making them much easier to find around the map. As with all leaks, Respawn has not yet confirmed any of the details and can still make changes ahead of this game mode’s expected return on August 11.

  • Alter can now “kidnap” enemies in Apex Legends Season 21 – Dexerto

Alter can now “kidnap” enemies in Apex Legends Season 21 Respawn EntertainmentThanks to the ability of the new Legend, Alter, you can “kidnap” enemies in Apex Legends and it’s absolutely cruel. Alter is the main highlight of Apex Legends Season 21 as this Legend can create one-way portals to pass through surfaces like walls and ground. Alter’s tactical ability, Void Passage, is the talk of the town. It’s been only a day since the latest Apex Legends season dropped and players have already started utilizing Void Passage in creative ways to catch enemies off guard and ‘kidnap’ them, and players are loving it. One Apex Legends player posted a clip from their Solo mode gameplay on Reddit, where they noticed two players fighting on higher ground, and used Void Passage to bring one of them down to secure an easy kill. The community immediately started thinking of how they could use the same tactical ability in different scenarios. Some players thought it’d be “so much fun sneaking around in trios and separating the third.” Others feel this will be “such a viable strategy” when multiple teams are scattered in buildings with many floors, waiting for the ring to close during late games in Ranked. However, some players think Alter has “ruined” the whole skirmisher class as professional Apex teams will find “different ways to use her abilities in ALGS.” “Teams camping with Controller Legends are so screwed LMAO,” they said. Alter’s ability had left many assuming it would be “nerfed with the split update.” Only time will tell how Respawn decides to balance Alter, and if it’s needed in the first place. Apex Legends Season 21 is out and going by the reactions and comments, players will keep on experimenting with Alter’s abilities to clutch duels and ultimately, their match.

  • Who is Alter in Apex Legends? Season 21 Legend & abilities – Dexerto

Who is Alter in Apex Legends? Season 21 Legend & abilities Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends is adding a new Legend for Season 21: Alter. Here’s everything we know about the character, including her abilities. Apex Legends introduced a bunch of changes to the battle royale’s formula through Season 20, but fans were left disappointed by the lack of a new Legend. Season 21 fulfills that wish with Alter, a Legend that makes use of portals and the Void similar to Wraith. But what does her entire kit look like? Here’s a complete breakdown of Alter’s abilities and release date in Apex Legends. Alter’s abilities in Apex Legends Passive – Gift from the Rift Alter’s passive ability known as “Gift from the Rift” helps you loot an item from distant deathboxes remotely. This is very useful when you want to swap a weapon or loot an extra Shield Battery, but don’t want to be involved in another fight. However, you cannot loot Shield Core for your armor from these deathboxes. Tactical – Void Passage Void Passage creates a portal through surfaces like a wall or ground. It saves you the time to break through doors, especially when an enemy is blocking it. You can utilize Alter’s tactical in various ways and even combine it with other Legends’ abilities to catch enemies off guard. Ultimate – Void Nexus Alter’s ultimate, Void Nexus, creates a one-way portal by dropping a device and works similarly to how Ash’s ultimate works. The only difference is your teammates can use it too. Upon using the portal, Void Nexus will bring you back to the location where the device was initially dropped. Though it’s unclear exactly how this ability works, it may be safe to assume it functions similarly to portals in games like Portal or Splitgate. This means that Alter could effectively ‘tunnel’ through surfaces or objects through their tactical. When will Alter release in Apex Legends? Alter will release with Apex Legends Season 21 on May 7, 2024. The new season also brings Solos back to the game as the last time players got to play that mode was back in Season 2. Broken Moon has been revamped with new POIs and Quarantine zone. Apex Artifacts are also a new addition which are basically universal Mythic Melee Cosmetics and you can equip them on any Legend and in any mode.

  • Apex Legends Ranked called “meaningless” as almost 20% of players are Master – Dexerto

Apex Legends Ranked called “meaningless” as almost 20% of players are Master EA/ RespawnApex Legends players are again hitting out at the ranked system as more people get placed into one of the highest ranks, Masters. Apex Legends players have not had a good Season 17 ranked experience. More and more high-level players have been complaining about the rank distribution as the number of accounts in Masters increases. At the time of writing about 17% of the Apex Legends ranked player base is currently in Masters, according to a ranked tracking website. Now even players who are Apex Legends esports adjacent, like leakers and managers, are breaking into the top rank. A player manager at TSM, ‘minustempo,’ revealed on Twitter that they recently ranked up to Masters and called the ranked badge a “participation badge.” “The badge is now meaningless,” they said. Apex Legends players call out inflated Masters rank The manager went on to say that no pros want to grind ranked anymore since their lobbies are often filled with bots or players that aren’t really at their skill level. “When you put it all together, ranked is essentially pubs with more stream sniping and there is no ranked system. I should not be in Masters. My gun skill at best is Gold/Plat,” they said. Minustempo also threw shade at Apex players who feel like the current system is in a good place, saying they are either delusional or lying to themselves. The community seems to agree with the manager, as replies to his post bolster his point or add personal antidotes about their own climb threw the ranked system. “I’ve been pushing masters the last few seasons and wasn’t able to make it, and now I made it with ease and it didn’t feel rewarding at all,” one reply said. “Felt like I was robbed of the chance to actually earn Masters.”

  • All weapon buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 8 update – Dexerto

All weapon buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 8 update Respawn EntertainmentThe full patch notes for Apex Legends Season 8: Mayhem have finally been released, and they include adjustments to several of the game’s guns, Hop-Up attachments, and more. The launch of a new season is like Christmas morning for Apex Legends fans, and while most of the focus goes into the new content that gets released, the patch’s changes are also very important to take note of. As usual, Respawn have implemented some tweaks to several weapons, four to be exact, while also mixing things up when it comes to the fully-kitted rotation, Hop-Ups, attachments and, of course, the brand new Gold-tier magazines. Everything you need to know about weapon-related changes can be found below. Apex Legends Season 8 weapon buffs & nerfs Of the four weapons that were touched in the S8 patch, three received some sort of buff: Alternator, Spitfire, and EVA 8. The Alternator’s bullet damage was increased from 15 to 16 while the EVA 8’s rate of fire was upped from 2.0 to 2.1. As for the Spitfire, the one boost it received was an improvement in bullet damage from 18 to 19. However, the powerful LMG also got nerfed to help balance out the buff – the speed of both the regular reload (2.8 to 3.2) and empty reload (3.33 to 3.8) were both increased. There was one other gun that got nerfed, the Volt, which saw its bullet damage decreased from 16 to 15. Changes to Hop-Ups & attachments in Apex Season 8 Pretty much every start-of-the-season patch includes some sort of tweak to the available Hop-Ups in the game, and S8 is no exception. The Double Tap, which granted an alternative burst fire mode, has been removed from the loot pool. Alternatively, Anvil Rounds have been added back into the loot pool after being removed in Season 5. This Hop-Up increases the damage of semi-automatic weapons but with every single shot fired using two rounds of ammo and the rate of fire getting reduced. As for other attachments, the Gold Barrel Stabilizer has been removed from the loot pool; this barrel lowered recoil by 20% and reduced muzzle flash. In place of it now will be the brand new Gold Extended Magazine, which offers the same ammo capacity as the Epic variant but now auto-reloads weapons its attached to after 5.5 seconds of holstering them. Changes to fully kitted rotation in Apex Season 8 Nothing out of the ordinary here – Respawn have yet again shuffled around which weapons get featured in the fully kitted rotation: Removed Wingman – Sentinel – Havoc – G7 Scout – Alternator – – Added R-301 – 30-30 Repeator – Mozambique – Longbow DMR – Spitfire – – One other important thing to note: all indications are that Respawn have chosen to keep the same selections for supply drop-exclusive weapons, meaning that the S8 Heirloom guns will continue to be the Peacekeeper, Kraber, and Prowler. There you have it – everything you need to know about all the buffs, nerfs, and any other weapon-related changes made in the Apex Legends Season 8 update. The actual patch goes live on Tuesday, February 2, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET which is when all of these adjustments will go into effect.

  • All weapon buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 7 update – Dexerto

All weapon buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 7 update Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends Season 7 patch notes were released on November 2, and along with all the new content coming in Ascension, Respawn Entertainment have also made changes to five of the game’s guns, added the new Quickdraw Hop-Up, and switched up Supply Drops. [jwplayer Do3m9qnp] There’s been a lot of hype surrounding the launch of Season 7, as Apex players will finally get to try out a brand new map for the first time in over a year, along with a new Legend, the game’s first-ever vehicle, and more. However, almost as important as all the new content are the changes Respawn Entertainment implemented as well, especially when it comes to several of the important weapons. All of the details about these weapon tweaks can be found below. Apex Legends Season 7 weapon buffs L-STAR The L-STAR is one of three weapons that were given a boost in Season 7, as Respawn made three adjustments to Energy Machine Gun: a new recoil pattern, reduced venting time, and decreased time it takes to reduce heat. LSTAR has a new recoil pattern that kicks horizontally at first and then settles into a relatively consistent upward recoil. Players who feather the trigger will be able to keep the LSTAR in the good portion of the recoil pattern. – LSTAR venting time after letting go of the trigger has been reduced 0.4s -> 0.15s. – LSTAR will now reduce heat faster when not overheated — 1.15s from 99.9% to 0% charge if not overheated, still 2.45s if overheated. – The devs explained that the L-STAR had “some limitations that caused it to feel worse” than they’d like, especially the recoil pattern, which “snaked back and forth, which was too difficult to control reliably.” “We are reducing those pain points to improve the viability and feel of feathering the trigger and adjusting the recoil pattern to reward players who can effectively control the LSTAR’s heat,” they said. Havoc In a previous patch, Respawn had given the Havoc a brand new recoil pattern, which they say actually proved to be “too erratic and difficult to control.” As a result, the pattern has been updated and will now kick up, then right, then left, then up again. Sentinel The buff to the Sentinel is actually a major rework; the sniper rifle, when fully energized, now has an amplified damage effect rather than just hurting an enemy’s shields. Furthermore, the gun’s energized base damage was increased from 70 to 88. Read More: Apex Legends Season 7 patch notes – The changes were meant to make the sniper more viable when in an energized state; the devs felt that, previously, it was “a bit too situational and only benefited if the opponent has more than 70 shield.” Apex Legends Season 7 weapon nerfs Hemlock Only two weapons were directly nerfed in this update, one of them being the Hemlock, which has gained more prominence in recent months after receiving several considerable buffs. Turns out, those buffs may have made the assault rifle a bit too powerful, which is why Respawn have increased its horizontal recoil and recoil magnitude while reducing the headshot multiplier: Increasing horizontal recoil of the first 3 shots slightly to the right (first burst when in burst mode) – Increasing recoil magnitude in the later stages of the pattern – Reducing headshot multiplier 2.0 -> 1.75 (44 -> 39 damage headshot against no helmet base character) – In order to compensate for the increased recoil, however, Respawn have reduced the recoil multiplier when in single fire mode: “Recoil should mostly be increased in burst mode rather than single fire mode.” Triple Take After having already been nerfed in a recent patch, the Triple Take’s effectiveness has been cut down again, this time with its fire rate being reduced from 1.3 to 1.2. “The Triple Take is still performing a bit too well after the most recent nerf, so we are reducing the fire rate back to what it was before the 6.0 patch,” the devs explained. “We will be watching in the future to see how just the integrated choke, sniper ammo increase, and new popularity affect the weapon’s performance.” Supply Drops & fully kitted weapons As is the case for pretty much every season, the launch of Ascension has shuffled Supply Drops a bit. The R99 is no longer a Supply Drop exclusive weapon and has been returned to the normal loot pool, which means its stats will return to that version of the gun. Damage: 12 -> 11 (from Care Package version to normal pre-season 6) – Ammo 20/22/24/27 – Replacing it is the Prowler, which now boasts a magazine size of 35 rounds and reserve ammo of 175 rounds. The fully kitted weapons have also been shuffled around, as all five have been replaced with a new batch of guns in their place: Removed: Devotion, Mastiff, Triple Take, Flatline, Volt – New: Wingman, Sentinel, Havoc, G7, Alternator – Hop-Ups With Season 7 comes the brand new Quickdraw Hop-Up for the Wingman and RE-45. This attachment, when equipped, reduces the guns’ draw-time and how long it takes to aim down sights (ADS), whole also reducing the hip-fire spread when not moving. To make room in the loot pool, the Selectfire Receiver has been removed, although that shouldn’t be too consequential since the Prowler, which normally needs this Hop-Up to switch between burst and full-auto, can now do so without the attachment That wraps up all of the weapon changes in the Apex Legends Season 7 patch. Remember, these buffs and nerfs will not go into effect until Ascension is fully live in-game, which is scheduled to be on Wednesday, November 4 at around 8 PM PT / 11 PM ET. For more information about the rest of this update’s contents, you can check out the full Season 7 patch notes here.

  • All weapon buffs & nerfs for Apex Legends Genesis Collection event – Dexerto

All weapon buffs & nerfs for Apex Legends Genesis Collection event Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Genesis Collection event in Season 9 kicks off on June 29, and that update will introduce a number of weapon nerfs and buffs. The Legacy season had experienced a slow period of content before Genesis was confirmed with a new trailer on June 24, and patch notes have been released as well. As part of that update, Apex players can look forward to seeing a number of Legend buffs and nerfs, a new heirloom for Revenant, and more. Changes for the P2020, Spitfire, 30-30 Repeater, and Longbow are included in the patch – so let’s take a look through each of those tweaks, and how they will affect gameplay. Apex Legends Genesis Collection weapon changes Spitfire nerf The Spitfire has once again been nerfed in Season 9, with hip fire spread increasing. Increased Hip Fire spread – P2020 buff Many would argue the P2020 has needed a buff for a while now, and it’s finally come in the Genesis Collection event. Here’s everything that’s changed: Increased Fire Rate from 6.25 -> 7.0 – Increased Base Ammo from 12 -> 14 – Increased Lvl 1 Mag from 14 -> 16 – Increased Lvl 2 Mag from 16 -> 18 – Increased Lvl 3 and Lvl 4 Mag from 18 -> 21 – 30-30 Repeater changes It’s a mixed bag for the 30-30 Repeater in the Genesis Collection event, with an increase and decrease in its performance. Slightly increased projectile speed – Reduced charge time from 0.5s -> 0.35s – Longbow buff The Longbow has been given a bit of love in this update as well, with increased damage. Damage increased from 55 -> 60 – How these changes will impact the weapon meta in Apex Legends Season 9 remains to be seen, for both Arenas and battle royale mode.

  • All Trident vehicle locations on Apex Legends Olympus map – Dexerto

All Trident vehicle locations on Apex Legends Olympus map Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends players will be able to jump into the new Season 7 Olympus map on November 4, but that’s not all, there’s also Trident vehicles dotted around the new battle grounds. The game’s developers Respawn Entertainment showcased the biggest sneak peek of the season update on October 27, where they revealed a brand new launch trailer. A big part of that promotional video was obviously the new legend, Horizon. However, the vehicle she was speeding around in will also be a big talking point. After all, it’s the first time they have been added to the Apex Games, following in the footsteps of other battle royale games. The likes of PUBG, Fortnite, and Call of Duty Warzone have all added cars to some degree. Now, it’s Apex’s turn and every Trident location appears to have been revealed. Where to find Trident vehicles in Apex Legends On the day the trailer was released, Apex Legends leaker Biast12 revealed a full map overview of Olympus – which will soon appear on our screens, and we’ll be pinging things all over the place. Speaking of pings, one of the thing your team will want to locate fast is the new Trident vehicle. There won’t be a shortage of these, either, with 11 different spawn points seemingly outlined in the leaked image. Next to each of them is a diamond emblem. As you can see below, they are located at the following POIs. However, it’s not yet known if the Trident will spawn in all of these locations every game, or if there will be a rotation of spawns each match. Trident spawn locations Docks – Power Grid – Rift – Gardens – Grow Towers – Orbital Cannon (x3) – Bonsai Plaza – Hydroponics – Elysium – How do the new vehicles work? Based on the Apex Legends Season 7 trailer, we can see that they are going to be fast turning, speedy machines. Presumably, we will be able to enter and exit them very easily – with just a click of a button – and it looks like there’s enough room inside them for an entire squad. Who will be driving in your team? Well, you don’t have long to pick a captain. On November 4, they will be right at the wheel in yet another huge, and free, update.

  • All Storm Point map changes in Apex Legends Season 19 – Dexerto

All Storm Point map changes in Apex Legends Season 19 Respawn/EAWith Apex Legends Season 19 just around the corner, Storm Point will undergo a pretty big update. Here’s what you need to know about the map changes. Over the past few years, the map pool in Apex Legends has grown to include five different settings: Kings Canyon, World’s Edge, Storm Point, Olympus, and Broken Moon. Aside from the newest – Broken Moon – each map has undergone some big changes since they’ve been added. Storm Point has constantly been under the microscope, with the devs taking feedback onboard about different POIs and how they’ve impacted the flow of matches. When Season 19 finally drops on October 31, the map will be changed in a big way yet again with a host of new POIs, changes to ones you probably loved dropping at, and the removal of Prowlers. Every Storm Point map change in Apex Legends Season 19 That’s right, Season 19 is going to be a big one for Storm Point, especially if you had loved dropping at Fish Farms and Lighting Rod. The farms have now been turned into Devastated Coast while Lighting Rod has undergone a big rework. They’ll also be joined by six new POIs including Wattson’s Pylon – a Town Takeover, ZEUS Station, and Ceto Station. There’s also a new sky box too, so the look of the coastal map is taking a turn. Doesn’t it look pretty? Storm Point’s overall size has also been squeezed down. To go with the reworks to the coastal areas, the outer edges of the map have been pushed up a bit. While you’re still going to have space to play with, gunfights should become a bit more frequent when you’re playing the edge. Additionally, the Prowlers that used to roam the map have been removed from the Prowler zone, so you won’t have to worry about them ruining your day anymore as you travel through. The changes are designed to make things a bit more fun overall, and with the Prowlers being gone, also a bit more safer. Seriously, they were a real headache at times.

  • All skins & weapon camos revealed for Apex Legends Grand Soirée Arcade – Dexerto

All skins & weapon camos revealed for Apex Legends Grand Soirée Arcade Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends launched a brand new in-game event called the Grand Soirée Arcade on January 14 that brought a number of new skins and cosmetics for players to collect during the festivities, and we have images of them down below. We’ve already featured a number of new Apex skins for the Grand Soirée event and now we have the full collection for you to take a look at. Ever since the Grand Soirée patch dropped, Apex Legends fans have been hard at work going through the game’s files to retrieve images of all the new content they can. Their efforts seem to have paid off, with images of all the available weapon camos and legend skins posted on Twitter by two of the most prominent dataminers in the community – iLootGames and That1MiningGuy. Read More: Leaked images of unreleased Forge Legend – Most of the images they’ve posted are of cosmetic items that are already in the game, but there appear to be some that haven’t been officially revealed yet as well. iLootGames, who also leaked the first look at the upcoming new Caustic Twitch Prime skin, put together a master image of all the new skins for the event, along with several close-ups individual weapon camos. If you zoom in on the master image provided by iLootGames, it’s possible to see all of the new weapon and legend skins that are and will be available during this in-game event. There were also some close-up images of several weapon camos shared, including for the Hemlock, Prowler and Devotion. The Hemlock and the Devotion both have a bright gold/brass finish and an overall art deco/steampunk theme going on with them. For the new Prowler camo the opposite is true, with the weapon sporting silver metal with dark cloth draped over it and neon green lights inside. The R-99 also gets a neat skin that’s red and gold on the body, but changes to charcoal black as it reaches the barrel of the weapon. Finally, G7 Scout has a very regal-looking camo for the Grand Soirée event, in dark blue, silver and gold. The Apex Legends Grand Soirée Arcade started on Tuesday, January 14 following the end of the Holo-Day Bash holiday event. It will go on for two weeks before wrapping up on January 28, just a few days before Season 4 is expected to launch on February 4.

  • All Season 5 map changes revealed in Apex Legends trailer – Dexerto

All Season 5 map changes revealed in Apex Legends trailer Respawn EntertainmentThe gameplay trailer for Apex Legends’ highly anticipated Season 5 was released on May 8, and revealed some of the major map changes that would be taking place in Kings Canyon. The addition of the brand new Legend Loba is not the only major change expected for Season 5: Fortune’s Favor, as Respawn has revealed they will be making drastic map changes in this new chapter as well. In the Apex Legends Season 5 gameplay trailer, some of the changes made to the classic Kings Canyon arena were revealed with popular locations such as Skull Town affected. One of the most notable changes in the trailer was the apparent destruction of a huge corner of the Kings Canyon island, with both Skull Town and the Thunderdome pretty much entirely underwater following Loba’s introduction. However, despite losing a bit of the map in Season 5, it was also revealed that there would be a new underground area around what’s left of the fan-favorite drop zones for players to explore. Another change was made towards the opposite side of Kings Canyon, with a new point-of-interest added to one of the map’s most rural areas in recent seasons. Respawn explained that the theme for season’s 5 map changes would be to “unearth Kings Canyon” and there appear to be many new excavation and construction sites added as a result. The changes also tie into the release of Apex Legends’ new Quests which require players to uncover different artifacts to earn rewards. One Apex Legends dev previously revealed why it had taken so long for Kings Canyon to receive major map changes, claiming that Crypto’s destruction of the Repulsor tower allowed Leviathans and Flyers from roaming freely and preventing any construction on the Arena. However, with the upcoming changes in Season 5, it signals that a new repulsor tower could have also been added or possibly other countermeasures around the island to keep the wildlife at bay. Fans won’t have long until they can experience the new update for themselves, as Apex Legends Season 5: Fortune’s Favor is set to go live on May 12.

  • All OP Catalyst ability interactions in Apex Legends: Crypto, Vantage, Gibraltar – Dexerto

All OP Catalyst ability interactions in Apex Legends: Crypto, Vantage, Gibraltar Respawn EntertainmentCatalyst has some of the most unique abilities in Apex Legends, but some of them have some OP & bizarre interactions with other Legends on the roster. Season 15 of Apex Legends is well underway and the community is getting stuck into all of the new content that arrived with the major update. Whether it’s the long-awaited gifting feature, the impressive Broken Moon map, or the fresh sticker cosmetics, it’s safe to say Respawn didn’t hold back with Eclipse. Despite this, it’s Catalyst that’s getting most of the attention thanks to her powerful kit that allows the Defensive Conjurer to control the pace of gunfights. While she’s strong on her own, players have found a number of interesting interactions when her ferrofluid is combined with other abilities, and we’ve compiled all of them below. Contents Catalyst & Crypto combination For starters, players have discovered that Catalyst’s Dark Veil Ultimate can be placed on top of Crypto’s drone. This effectively makes a portion of the wall portable and can be flown around the map to distract enemies. Catalyst+Crypto!New Combination Skills!🤣 pic.twitter.com/r35JJcjPnG — Meteor_Sven (@SvenAPEX) November 2, 2022 As showcased in Meteor_Sven’s clip above, using Crypto’s EMP while the wall is attached causes the Veil to spin frantically, making it extremely distracting for opponents. It’s hard to know how useful this trick is just yet, but it’s certainly an interesting interaction that’s worth testing out. Catalyst & Vantage combination Similar to Crypto’s interaction, popular Apex Legends YouTuber Bobz has indentified that you can also attach Catalyst’s Dark Veil to Echo as Vantage. Flying Echo low enough will make the Ultimate placeable on her pet and it can be moved around just like the drone. However, as an extra feature, recalling echo will make the portable wall stick to your character model as Vantage. Both these interactions are likely bugs so it’ll be interesting to see whether Respawn prioritizes removing them from the game. Catalyst & Gibraltar combination Gibraltar’s interaction with Catalyst’s Ultimate is a little less exciting than the two above, but it could still prove to be useful. If Dark Veil is used across a Gibraltar dome, it will not puncture the shield, instead it travels over the top of it. As showcased by Skeptation, this forms an arch way of space that remains even when the bubble has disapeared. This also applies to Catalyst’s Tactical spikes if they’re placed on top of the dome, leaving them floating in the air forever or until they’re recalled. So, there you have it, those are all of the OP and bizarre interactions that involve Catalyst and other characters so far. We’ll be sure to add more to the list as players experiment with her ferrofluid in the Outlands.

  • All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 7 update – Dexerto

All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 7 update Respawn EntertainmentThe highly anticipated Apex Legends Season 7: Ascension update is finally here, bringing with it adjustments to several of the battle royale’s characters, including Pathfinder, Mirage, and more. [jwplayer Do3m9qnp] While new content has and always will be the area of focus when it comes to the launch of new seasons in Apex Legends, the changes that the massive patch makes to the game’s various aspects also hold a lot of significance. As expected, the huge update that accompanied the launch of Season 7 implemented tweaks to eight different Legends, some of whom were buffed while others were nerfed. Pathfinder The changes made to Pathfinder are two-fold, focusing on his hitbox and Grappling Hook ability. The robot’s tall and slender frame has always made him among the more difficult Legends to shoot at and, as time’s gone by, the impact of that has become more and more apparent. As a result, Respawn have nerfed this aspect by making his hitbox bigger all around. However, to make sure they don’t overdo the nerf, they’ve kept the Low Profile passive ability enabled: “If this change does make a meaningful difference in terms of his win rate we will drop Low Profile, but we really didn’t want to take it off him this patch only to have to put it back next patch when it turns out his win-rate spiked.” Read More: Apex Legends Season 7 patch notes – As for the Grappling Hook, the developers have added to the changes pushed through in the 6.1 update by making four more adjustments to the tactical: Octane This is one of the more significant buffs in this update, as Octane’s Swift Mend ability has doubled in healing rate, up from 0.5 HP per second to 1.0 HP per second. “We figured we could give him a little extra out of combat help. His passive’s heal rate was very slow, requiring up to 200s to fully heal your health bar,” the devs explained. You can find a visual demonstration of this change below, starting at around the 11-minute mark. Loba Loba’s Black Market has been buffed so that ammo doesn’t count towards the ability’s maximum anymore, allowing players to grab up all the ammo within range. This is part of Respawn’s effort to try and make Loba the “ultimate Legend to bring to solve all of your team’s loot needs.” While this change is being hailed as a significant one, the devs have also teased that there could be improvements to her tactical ability as well. Rampart There were two buffs administered to Rampart in order to increase the speed at which her abilities were set up: “We do not want to change Rampart away from being a Legend that requires setup, but we do want to make it faster to set up.” Firstly, her Sheila machine gun now takes 1.25 seconds to fully spin up, down from two seconds, while the Amped Wall now takes three seconds to fully build up, reduced from four seconds. Wattson Wattson’s Perimeter Security has been boosted by increasing the damage per touch from 10 to 15 ticks. While the Season 2 Legend was already pretty powerful, the powers that be determined it would be “safe to giver her a little extra power in her best case: people running into her fences.” Mirage Respawn have added give life to Mirage’s decoys, almost literally. Now, the decoys each have 45 health and will flicker on and off when being shot at to let enemies know they’re not the actual Legend. However, to make sure this buff doesn’t turn into a game-breaking exploit, it’s been tuned in a way so that the bullets hitting decoys will also travel through and impact whatever’s behind them. This way, Mirage players can’t camp narrow pathways or hallways and use their decoys as physical shields. Caustic As with Pathfinder, the devs have made two changes to Caustic: one a buff and the other a nerf. In terms of the nerf, Legends no longer get blurred vision while in the gas, which should mitigate what was arguably the biggest frustration when fighting the Toxic Trapper. However, to balance this, the damage of the Nox Gas has been buffed, as it now deals 6-12 ticks of damage, up from 4-10 ticks. Bangalore Last but not least, we have Bangalore who’s Rolling Thunder ability has been buffed to reduce the time it takes for the explosion, down to six seconds from eight seconds. The developers hope that this will “encourage” enemy teams to vacate the zone faster, making the ability more influential outside of the actual damage it can cause. That wraps up this round of the Legend buffs and nerfs in the Apex Legends Season 7 patch. Remember, these changes will not go into effect until Ascension is fully live in-game, which is scheduled to be on Wednesday, November 4 at around 8 PM PT / 11 PM ET. For more information about the rest of this update’s contents, you can check out the full Season 7 patch notes here.

  • All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 20: Conduit, Crypto, Mad Maggie, more – Dexerto

All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 20: Conduit, Crypto, Mad Maggie, more Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 20 will shake up the meta more than ever, and while there are no huge additions to the battle royale, there’s a ton to learn. Here are all the buffs and nerfs coming in Season 20. Season 20 will be a breath of fresh air for Apex Legends fans. But, much like some prior seasons in recent times, the update won’t bring any huge additions such as a new Legend. Instead, the Respawn devs are shaking up the battle royale in other ways, with notably Legend upgrades as you level up your Evo Armor, and Ranked going back to its old ways taking the spotlight. Nevertheless, there are still a ton of changes to existing Legends. With that said, here are all the buffs and nerfs coming in Season 20. All Legend buffs & nerfs in Season 20 of Apex Similar to Season 19, the Respawn devs have hit the majority of Legends with various buffs and nerfs to shift the meta. Now use medium-rig first-person movement animations. – Actual game speeds have not changed, these Legends will feel less sluggish when running. – Support Legends Extended Supply Bin contents have been improved. – There you have it! Those are all the Legend changes that the Respawn devs have confirmed for Season 20. You can check out the full patch notes here.

All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 18: Gibraltar, Seer, Pathfinder, more RespawnWhile Season 18 isn’t bringing a new Legend to the Apex Games, a number of current Legends have received buffs and nerfs in hopes of shaking up the game’s meta and making things feel fresh and fun. Season 18, much like the recent Season 16, will not be bringing a new Legend to Apex. Instead, developers Respawn Entertainment decided to rework Revenant as ‘Revenant Reborn’, with complete changes to his Passive, Tactical, and Ultimate abilities. It’s not only Revenant facing changes though, with a number of other Legends facing changes to even the playing field and ensure every character is viable. • All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 16: Wraith, Seer, Horizon, more – Dexerto

All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 16: Wraith, Seer, Horizon, more Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends Season 16 brings a huge number of changes to the BR’s character pool, buffing and nerfing multiple Legends and promising to shake up the meta moving forwards. Here’s every buff and nerf included in the update. Apex Legends Season 15 departed from a typical seasonal update in the sense that it did not feature Legend buffs and nerfs. Season 16 departs from the norm in that it does not bring a new Legend into the fray, but it does bring a huge amount of buffs and nerfs to the existing Legend pool. Here’s every change made to the game’s Legends, so you know exactly what you’ll be dealing with when you drop into the Apex Games in Season 16. Apex Legends Season 16 all Legend buffs & nerfs There are seven Legend targeted by buffs and nerfs in the Season 16 update: Seer, Bloodhound, Wraith, Pathfinder, Horizon, Mirage and Lifeline. Seer Seer’s Ultimate Ability, Exhibit, will be nerfed in terms of cooldown and duration, with Respawn describing the nerf as “pretty hard” – Seer’s Passive Ability, Heart Seeker, will now have a charge up time, meaning it cannot be spammed by players. It is also no longer a ‘constant’, but comes and goes with the ‘pulses’ of enemies it detects. It will also be audible to nearby enemies, potentially giving away Seer’s location when it is being used. – Bloodhound Bloodhound’s Ultimate Ability, Beast of the Hunt, has been overhauled to fit with a new ‘White Raven concept’ – it will no longer speed up their Tactical Ability charge. – Instead, it will now find “ethereal white ravens around the map”. When interacted with, these ravens will fly in the direction of the closest enemy. This creates a longer hunting loop. – Wraith Wraith can now place he portal twice as far as previously, and “will speed up as she travels that extra distance”. – Pathfinder The range and riding speed on Pathfinder’s zipline has been increased “significantly”, meaning he can travel further and faster than previously. – Horizon Accuracy when firing during Horizon’s Tactical Ability, Gravity Lift, has been reduced, making targets more difficult to hit. – However, the speed at which she is lifted into the air has been increased slightly. – Mirage After reviving, Mirage and the revived ally will be cloaked for 3 seconds. This 3 second duration only stands as a result of the player remaining unarmed. If they draw their weapon, the cloak is broken immediately. – When a clone is shot, the bamboozled enemy will now be tracked by a small icon for a short time. – Lifeline Significant reduction to the ‘slow penalty’ when activating her revive. – Significantly increased drop speed and range of her Care Package Ultimate Ability. – Valkyrie No longer sees enemy locations marked when using her Ultimate Ability, Skyward Dive. – That’s all the Legend buffs and nerfs players can expect when Season 16 goes live on February 14! We’ll be sure to update this information with the precise figures Respawn give about the various changes.

  • All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 14 update: Valkyrie, Newcastle, more – Dexerto

All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 14 update: Valkyrie, Newcastle, more Respawn EntertainmentThe Apex Legends Season 14 Hunted update brought a slew of balance changes for the game’s cast of characters. Here’s every buff and nerf for Legends in Season 14. Respawn Entertainment had their hands full implementing meaningful changes in Season 14 that will see everything from quality of life improvements for various abilities to altering how some tacticals interact with everyone else. The Hunted update brought a fair amount of changes – and a battle pass – that’s sure to make some players happy, namely those who play certain Legends like Mirage, Mad Maggie, and Newcastle. Valkyrie cools her jets The new Hunted patch update saw the high-flying Valkyrie get a bit nerfed when it comes to activating her VTOL Jets and Skyward Dive. Even her Missile Swarm got reigned in a bit with its decreased explosion radius and a slightly slower move duration. Valkyrie has been a staple in competitive and casual Apex matches, so this might be Respawn’s way of keeping her power status in check for Season 14. Mirage decoys get beefier The Season 14 Apex patch saw Mirage’s decoys become a lot more potent in one crucial way: it can now fool some of the Scan meta’s worst offenders. Now Mirage’s Decoys can be scanned by Valkyrie’s skydive and Seer’s Heart Seeker. This only expands the ability’s usage and could be a great way for Mirage players to have some fun against two of Apex Legends’ most popular picks. Take a look at all the Apex Legends Season 14 patch notes for Legends buffs and nerfs down below, courtesy of Respawn. All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Season 14 update Valkyrie VTOL Jets Acceleration on activation decreased by about 8%. – Fuel consumption on activation increased by 33%. – Aerial boosting & strafing take a 20% debuff when hit by slowing effects. – Added a third orange state to the fuel meter UI between green (>60%) and red (i> – Aim/turn slow removed. – Move slow duration decreased from 2.5s -> 2.0s. – Reducing the explosion radius from 175 -> 125. – Height reduction of 25%. – Launch time reduced from 5.5s -> 5.0s. • All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Genesis collection event – Dexerto

All Legend buffs & nerfs in Apex Legends Genesis collection event Respawn EntertainmentWith the Apex Legends Genesis Collection event in Season 9 comes a whole host of buffs and nerfs to some of the game’s most popular Legends. Apex Legends’ new Genesis collection event brings with it a slew of interesting changes. We’ve got Revenant’s new Heirloom, the Dead Man’s Curve, alongside the return of King’s Canyon, new skins and much, much more. For all of the latest, be sure to check out the update’s patch notes. Some of the title‘s most famous faces are taking a bit of a hit this time around, with Octane‘s infamous Launch Pad’s cooldown being increased by 30 seconds, and Bloodhound‘s powerful Eye of the Allfather and Beast of the Hunt ultimate having their durations decreased, it’ll be interesting to see how this changes up the meta. The most important buff, though, is to Frenchwoman Wattson. Now capable of dropping more than one Nessie plush using her Epic emote, it’s clear that this minor change is set to flip the game on it’s head (well, not really). Apex Legends Genesis Collection: All Buffs & Nerfs Revenant Slightly slimmed down hitbox (specifically his midsection, arms, and upper legs). – Stalker climb height significantly increased. It’s not unlimited now, but… that boy can really climb. – Silence duration decreased from 20 seconds to 15 seconds. – Reduced the duration of death protection by 5 seconds while using the Death Totem. – Octane Launch Pad cooldown increased from 60 seconds to 90 seconds. – Lifeline Increased hit box size, mostly in the legs and waist. – Bloodhound Eye of the Allfather scan revealed time decreased from 4 seconds to 3 seconds. – Beast of the Hunt duration decreased from 35 seconds to 30 seconds. Time can still be added by downing enemies. – Wattson Major Buff: Wattson can now place more than one Nessie on the map at a time with her Epic emote. – For all of the latest on the Collection Event, be sure to check out our dedicated Apex Legends page.

  • All leaked Apex Legends skins for Holo-Day Bash Christmas event – Dexerto

All leaked Apex Legends skins for Holo-Day Bash Christmas event RespawnA handful of skins and cosmetics have been leaked for an upcoming holiday-themed event in Apex Legends, believed to be the next ‘collection’ event. With Season 3 of Apex Legends extended beyond the normal end date, all the way until February, it’s important for Respawn Entertainment to keep players engaged for longer, without a new season launch to look forward to. With the first-ever holiday period coming up for Apex Legends, which launched in February 2019, it’s no surprise that there will be some Christmas-themed content on the way – after all, we already have snow on the new Season 3 map. As data miners often scavenge through the game files after new updates though, the secrets of what is planned for the event have been leaked, with a host of skins and cosmetics revealed early. So far, Christmas skins have been leaked for a number of the legends, and presumably, there is one for all eleven of them. Thanks to leakers @iLootGames and @That1MiningGuy, we have an up-close look at these leaked skins. Leaked Holo-Day Bash Apex Legends Skins Octane Octane is turned into a red-nosed-reindeer for the event. Mirage Mirage is actually rumored to be the centerpiece of this event, with a new location just for him, and he’s getting a nutcracker skin too. Caustic Caustic is becoming Santa Clause himself for the event. Crypto Crypto appears to getting a Jack Frost-inspired outfit. Wattson and Pathfinder Wattson and Pathfinder haven’t been forgotten about either, as they can be seen in their winter skins alongside Mirage and Octane in this leaked promotional image for the event. Bangalore This is the best image leakers have shared so far of the Banglore event skin, and it’s finally one that Bangalore mains can get excited about. Apex Legends winter cosmetics This holiday cosmetic drop won’t just be skins either, as weapon charms and new character quips with winter themes have also been leaked. Store charmmmsss pic.twitter.com/DfI7SP6ALu — iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) December 3, 2019 christmas quips, gonna be sharing it all organized on youtube soon https://t.co/GhMKOXNFhE pic.twitter.com/Dc1bH5Cu2c — iLootGames – ApexRanked.com (@iLootGames) December 3, 2019 Prolific data miner That1MiningGuy even leaked a complete look at upcoming cosmetics, as well as the ‘Winter Express’ train LTM mode that looks like it’ll be themed around Mirage. Also confirmed from the game code was the name of the collection event, and how the items will be acquired. https://twitter.com/That1MiningGuy/status/1201972332849438726 There’s no date for the start of the event or when the cosmetics will be added, but we can safely presume it will be here in time for December 25 at the very latest.

  • All leaked Apex Legends hop-ups & attachments – Dexerto

All leaked Apex Legends hop-ups & attachments Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends currently has a small pool of hop-ups for select weapons, but others have been identified through game files, and never released. Here are all the uncovered hop-ups and if they’ll be releasing any time soon. As Respawn Entertainment have added new content to Apex Legends in the form of legends, weapons, skins, attachments, and skins, dataminers and leakers have gotten their hands on details about unreleased items. For the most part, these have been hop-ups. Even though the current loot pool only contains a handful of these attachments, fans are always looking out for more and hoping that their favorite weapon is handed a hop-up. With Season 8 underway, more of these have been leaked. So, we’ll get into a full list of them, what they might do, and if they might still be coming to the Apex Games. Armorsmith The most recent hop-up leak has come in the form of the Armorsmith, which leakers found in the game’s files following Season 8’s first hotfix. According to leaks, it bears a resemblance to the once-popular Disruptor Rounds hop-up as it would go on the RE-45 and Alternator weapons. Though, instead of dealing additional damage, it would help you boost your shield at a faster rate than normal. Compared to some of the other leaked attachments we’ve seen, it’s possible that this one is released at some point in the future, and perhaps as early as Season 9. Heatsink Aside from the Armorsmith, Season 8 has also brought leaks about a hop-up known as Heatsink. First leaked back in Season 6, more voicelines have been added for Horizon and Fuse in season 7 and 8 respectively. There is not much to go on about the hop-up, aside from these voice lines from the current roster of Apex characters. What is interesting, however, is that the name has popped up in multiple fan concepts before, each suggesting it could help the L-Star and Charge Rifle. Incendiary Rounds Throwing it all the way back to 2019, the Incendiary Rounds leak is a bit less cryptic than others. As the name suggests, it’d just be bullets that deal fire damage when used. Given that Fuse is now in Apex, and his kit revolves around fire, it could have been a perfect addition for the Aussie-voiced legend. Though, since it’s been a while since the attachment was leaked, and we’ve heard nothing since, it could have been scrapped by Respawn. Sentinel hop-up & gold sniper stock A similar cryptic hop-up leak has also surfaced about sniper rifles. Previously, leaks suggested that snipers would be getting a golden sniper stock, similarly to the autoloader magazine that’s now available, but that hasn’t happened. In Season 8, there’s a hop-up spot on the Sentinel, sparking further rumors. Though, Respawn have said it’s just a visual bug, so make of that what you wil.. Currently, only the Longbow sniper can use a hop-up in Apex – the Skullpiercer Rifling – but maybe more will be coming in the future. Sniper users certainly hope so. As Apex continues to expand and move into new seasons, more hop-ups will likely be uncovered, but it could be cases where the devs are just testing ideas rather than adding them. We’ll continue to update this post with any more hop-ups and attachments that are leaked.

  • All gold weapons you can find in Apex Legends Season 12 – Dexerto

All gold weapons you can find in Apex Legends Season 12 Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment has shaken up the list of gold weapons in Apex Legends Season 12, with the addition of the Triple Take sniper rifle. Gold weapons – similarly to red loadouts found in Care Packages – are already built out with attachments of the highest rarity, making them extremely valuable pieces of kit in combat. In the next major update, the game’s developers have confirmed the Replicators will have craftable weapons inside them for the first time ever, too. But for those players scavenging around for the best tier loot available, there are five guns fully decked out in gold for Season 12. Apex Legends Season 12 gold weapons list The following guns will be spawning as fully gold builds throughout the course of Apex Legends Season 12: RE-45 – Triple Take – Peacekeeper – Prowler – Havoc – Each of these can be found as ground loot or within loot bins, which will be scattered around the active maps: Olympus and Storm Point. The former has been around since Season 7, though fans can expect to see a long list of map changes when they load up the game after February 8, including new points of interest. It will be down to members of the Apex community to decide the best landing spots on each of those battlegrounds as Season 12 develops. Even with significant changes to Olympus being confirmed already, fans will be hoping to cash in on the guaranteed gold loot locations on that map and be named the Apex Champion. For more news on the new update, check out the full patch notes, Legend buffs and nerfs, as well as our profile page on Mad Maggie.

  • All gold loot locations on Olympus in Apex Legends – Dexerto

All gold loot locations on Olympus in Apex Legends Respawn/EAGold items are a hot commodity in Apex Legends, and when it comes to Olympus, they are guaranteed to appear in three spots – but you might not always get what you want. [jwplayer A8oCoIXs] It’s been a few weeks since Olympus joined the Apex Legends map rotation with the start of Season 7. Players have cemented their favorite drop spots, rotations, and items to use in that time as well. Unlike its counterparts World’s Edge and Kings Canyon, the map in the sky doesn’t have any loot vaults or bunkers, so some players might assume that the loot isn’t as good on Olympus. Though, that’s not true. There are some spots around the map where you can get some guaranteed gold weapons, similar to how Kings Canyon’s vaults operated. However, with these spots being accessible right from the drop, you should expect some company if you decide to head there. Guaranteed Gold loot spots on Olympus in Apex Legends In total, there are three spots around Olympus where you can get gold weapons. Unlike Kings Canyon’s bunkers, these spots don’t have a set weapon or item to find. Instead, they rotate what will be available on a game-by-game basis. These three spots are Oasis Cafe – which is a quick jump down the elevator shafts that sit inside the main Oasis location, Research Basin, and Elysium. Research Basin is, perhaps, the most contested drop of the three because you can rotate to Hammond Labs quickly, so watch out. Elysium has gold weapons that focus more on long-range fights, so you can grab one and quickly move on, rotating to somewhere like Grow Towers. Oasis Cafe – Gold knockdown shield, Gold Havoc, Gold Alternator, Gold Wingman, Gold G7 Scout, Gold Sentinel – Research Basin – Gold Wingman, Gold G7 Scout, Gold barrel stabilizer – Elysium – Gold knockdown shield, Gold Wingman, Gold Sentinel, Gold Armour – As noted, the items at these spots will rotate on a game-by-game basis, so don’t get locked in on grabbing, say, a gold Alternator every game. It won’t happen. However, knowing that these spots will have, at least, some of the best loot in the game available from the start should give you a leg up on opponents if you get out alive. So, get out there and become an Apex Champion.

  • All confirmed buffs coming in Apex Legends Season 7 – Dexerto

All confirmed buffs coming in Apex Legends Season 7 Respawn/EAApex Legends Season 7 is almost here, and that means changes to characters. So, we’ve rounded up all the buffs that Respawn have confirmed so far. [jwplayer ePrNLj8A] With each new Apex Legends season, players are always looking forward to getting their hands on a new Legend as well as seeing what’s been changed to existing Legends, weapons, and items. As Season 7 is on the horizon, Respawn have begun to roll out their teasers – with a familiar-looking UFO turning up on both Kings Canyon and World’s Edge. Aside from that, the devs have also been planting seeds about what buffs and nerfs are coming in the new season. So, we’ve rounded up the buffs that we know about so far. Mirage As one of Apex’s most popular characters, players have been desperate for Respawn to give Mirage a power increase, even after his abilities rework. Those changes have always been on the horizon, as devs have answered numerous questions with positives answers about buffs, and those promises will finally come to fruition with the start of Season 7. Daniel Klein, a game designer for Respawn, confirmed that they’ve been testing changes to his Life of the Party ult, so that could be the main change that the Holographic Trickster receives next season. Rampart As for Rampart, while a buff has been confirmed, there haven’t been any hints as to what it could entail. Since her introduction, players have made a number of suggestions – including being able to move around while firing her minigun. Though, we’ll just have to wait and see on that front. Octane Octane is also confirmed to be getting some positive treatment, but Respawn say it will only be a “tiny buff,” so no indication exactly what it will be yet. Pathfinder Pathfinder will also be receiving a change to the cooldown on his grapple ability; following the patch, the grapple’s cooldown will max out at 30 seconds, which players will only hit if they go the very max distance. However, the last time this was labeled a buff, it actually turned out to be a nerf. Pathfinder Buff: Grapple Cooldown maxes out at 30 seconds – you’ll only hit this max if you go a very far distance. pic.twitter.com/NYVxw2RcgW — Apex Legends News (@TitanfallBlog) October 30, 2020 Loba Season 5’s Legend will also see her effectiveness boosted with a buff to her Black Market Boutiqe Ultimate Ability, which will now allow the High Society Thief to retrieve ammo without using a slot. Audio Not a buff as such, but Respawn have also confirmed that lots of progress has been made on audio problems, which have been plaguing the game for months, and these fixes will be coming in Season 7. As for what else is coming in Season 7, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know here. We’ll just have to wait until November 4, when the new season starts, to see it all in action.

  • All Arenas Badges in Apex Legends and how to earn them – Dexerto

All Arenas Badges in Apex Legends and how to earn them Respawn EntertainmentThe Arenas mode in Apex Legends is totally separate from the main battle royale component and therefore has its own stats, trackers, and badges to show off on your banner. Here are all the Apex Legends Arenas badges you can unlock so far. Arenas will be a different test of your skills, as there’s no random looting, respawns, or third parties. It’s just you, your Legend of choice, and a set loadout purchased at the start of each round. Clearly, it wouldn’t make sense for stats and badges to crossover between the two modes, so you’ll be starting fresh in the Arenas mode. If you want to flex your skills, there’s a total of four badges that you can currently unlock to display on your banner. Apex Legends Arenas badges Win Streak Although this badge is pretty self-explanatory (it tracks your most wins in a row), there’s actually a very unique aspect to it. If you completed the Arenas teaser in Season 8, by finding all the holosprays and then activating the teaser in the Firing Range and meeting Ash, then you’ll have an improved version of the win streak badge. If you didn’t complete the teaser, you will still have the Win Streak badge, but it won’t be as impressive looking. Legend wins The next badge you can unlock is also another win tracker of sorts, but it’s specific to the Legend you’re using. Each Legend has a ‘Legend’s Arena’ badge, which will become increasingly impressive as you go up the ranks from 5, 20, 50, 100, 500 wins. Survivor Badge Manage to win an Arenas game without getting downed or killed at all in the badge, and you’ll earn the Arenas survivor badge, usable with any Legend, Shutout badge Finally, you will earn the Shutout badge by winning an Arenas match 3-0. You should be able to unlock this badge pretty quickly if you can steamroll the opposition with three quick rounds. Arenas damage badge? Hopefully, more badges will be added to unlock in Arenas, such as damage or kills badges. On Reddit, a Respawn developer explained that they will definitely add more badges in the future, but need to gather more data to determine what damage number will be hard to achieve, for example. “For damage, we still aren’t sure what is that actual equivalent – in terms of difficulty – of the 2K/3K/4K badges? Just didn’t have enough data yet on what the right numbers were. More badges are coming. I’m not sure if/when we’ll do damage badges. But I can say for sure more Arenas badges are coming.” Also, with Ranked Arenas on the way at some point in the future, there’s also the opportunity for Ranked Arenas badges, which Respawn will almost certainly be including. Ranked Arenas badges In Season 10, one season after Arenas launched, Respawn introduced a Ranked component to the game mode. With this, came a whole new slew of ranked arenas badges to collect. While ranked Arenas has been highly controversial since it’s arrival, these badges do provide something for players to grind for. As you make your way through the ranked levels, you’ll be rewarded with badges to reflect your current rank.

  • All Apex Legends trophies and how to unlock them – Dexerto

All Apex Legends trophies and how to unlock them Sony/RespawnAside from just winning matches in Apex Legends and having the glory of being Apex Champions, you can also pick up numerous trophies and achievements. For most Apex players, being able to rise up the rise with wins, kills, and other stats is the goal. They want to top the leaderboards when it comes to being the best Apex squad around. Of course, doing so is a different story altogether. There are so many talented Apex players who want the glory, it can be difficult to stand out from the pack. Outside of that, though, you can also earn different trophies and achievements just like with any other game on PlayStation and Xbox. Though, they’re a bit easier to get than being number one in the world. In total, there are 12 different trophies and achievements for you to unlock in Apex. Some are relatively easy, like equipping legendary armor in a game, respawning a teammate, and being named as the jumpmaster. Of course, that isn’t the case for all of them. Others take more time to unlock and require you to grind just a little bit, as well as use different legends. Unlocking them all, if you haven’t done so already, will take a few hours, so you can easily boost your gamerscore and trophy collection. You can see all 12 trophies/achievements below: All Apex Legends achievements and trophies The Player: Reach player level 50 in Apex Legends – Decked Out: Equip a legendary helmet and body armor at the same time – Team Player: Respawn a teammate with their banner – Fully Kitted: Equip a fully kitted weapon (gold weapon) – Jumpmaster: Be named the Jumpmaster 5 different times – Well Rounded: Deal 5,000 damage as eight different legends – Kill Leader: Become the Kill Leader in a match – Apex Offense: Win a game as an Offensive legend – Apex Defense: Win a game as a Defensive legend – Apex Support: Win a game as a Support legend – Apex Recon: Win a game as a Recon legend – Apex Legend: Win a game with 8 different legends – Unlocking these trophies/achievements won’t do anything for you in-game like unlocking new cosmetics, but they are a nice little boost to your account. So, if you haven’t gotten them all already, make sure to drop into Apex at some point soon and pick them all up.

  • New Apex Legends Season 7 skins revealed in gameplay trailer – Dexerto

New Apex Legends Season 7 skins revealed in gameplay trailer Respawn EntertainmentRespawn Entertainment have finally revealed the first batch of Apex Legends Season 7 skins in an all new Ascension gameplay trailer, and they look insane. Horizon is the newest legend on the block, so of course she has been cruising around in the Trident in her original skin, but there was much more to see than just that. The likes of Pathfinder, Wraith, Wattson, Mirage and others featured – though not all were wearing new suits. The trailer was revealed on October 30 by Respawn, showing off a number of new gameplay features – including how big the map will be (saving concerns of it being perhaps too small), and also showing off Horizon’s abilities once again. Everybody is here for the skins, though, so let’s dive right into it. Apex Legends Season 7 skins Octane Flying in the air, Octane looked very different. Horizon To close things out, we got a first look at Horizon’s new skin. Wraith The legend on the floor, at Horizon’s mercy, was obviously Wraith. R-99 skin It’s not all about the legends here, as a new R-99 weapon wrap was also revealed. • All Apex Legends Season 6 weapon TTKs revealed: body vs head – Dexerto

All Apex Legends Season 6 weapon TTKs revealed: body vs head Respawn EntertainmentAn Apex Legends fan has taken the time to break down every single weapon’s time-to-kill (TTK) for Season 6, all the way from the lowly Mozambique to the deadly R-99. [jwplayer UQowmNq2] For those who are still not sure which guns to prioritize in Apex Legends’ sixth season, help is on the way. While everyone’s comfort with recoil control and the game’s attachment loot RNG makes gun preference entirely subjective, it is worth knowing how each gun performs at a base level. As such, a YouTuber by the name of ‘Davengeful’ has blessed King’s Canyon’s best with the nitty-gritty details of how each of the battle royale’s weapons performs in a standardized lab environment. Standing within 10 meters of a red training dummy (or, technically, ‘DUMMIE,’ which stands for Digital Utility Mock Man Intelligent Example), Davengeful tested all of the game’s Season 6 assault rifles, light machine guns, submachine guns, and shotguns. Standing further away, they also tested the sniper rifles. For these tests, Davengeful did not use any hop-up attachments and simply fired with perfect accuracy to gain a base stat. That means there is no Selectfire Prowler data to be used, just the gun’s typical burst behavior. Still, the regular version of the SMG remains one of the strongest guns in the game. As no surprise to players who have dropped into a game of Apex Legends even once, the Mozambique is a grotesque weapon. While its headshot TTK is decent (and faster than some of the game’s other guns), its body TTK is a whopping 4.504 seconds. For context, that’s slightly longer than it would take for you to down four enemies, hitting just body shots, with the R-99. With TTK listed in seconds and no hop-ups included, here’s how the Season 6 list of weapons stacks up. This is current as of October 16, 2020, so all data is subject to change with the release of new patches. As it stands, the list proceeds downward from light weapons, to heavy, to sniper, to energy, to shotguns, and, finally, the highly touted R-99 Supply Drop gift. Apex Legends Season 6 Weapon TTKs As you’ll notice, the R-99 is entirely deserving of its rarity because it has the game’s fastest body TTK and one of the fastest headshot TTKs. Its longtime companion among revered light guns, the R-301, is also devastating — with the fastest headshot TTK in the entire game. While the sniper rifles may feel underpowered from this table, it should be remembered that this is only raw, base data. Snipers are easier to hit shots with from range, thanks to scopes and bullet velocity, so players shouldn’t be discouraged just by the data found here. Still, they should be discouraged from using the Mozambique. The numbers aren’t lying with that one.

  • All Apex Legends Season 6 teasers so far and what they mean – Dexerto

All Apex Legends Season 6 teasers so far and what they mean Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer cgdaanpd] Respawn Entertainment have started to slowly drop hints for what may come in Apex Legends Season 6, and here’s where you’ll find all the brand new teasers as they release in the game. It’s a special time for the Apex community. Respawn’s transitions from one season to the next are generally filled with sly hints and interesting additions to the Apex Arena that clue in players for what may come in the following months. This time around, the teasers started a bit early for players paying attention to the Broken Ghost questline, which was filled with episodic missions each leading up to the big reveal of a Titanfall 2 character that could play a major role in Season 6. We also got an idea for the next location of the Apex Games, which could take people to Olympus on Psamathe. And as more teasers come filing in, there’s bound to be new discoveries along the way. When is Apex Legends Season 6 coming? The anticipation for the upcoming season is real, as it looks like many secrets of the Apex Games are on the cusp of being revealed. Respawn has yet to confirm the official release date of Season 6, but going by past metrics to calculate the end of the current era, the likeliest time would be on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. Teaser 1: Hammond Robotics sites Dispersed throughout World’s Edge, people can find huge banners that show Hammond Robotics ‘Future Worksite’ banners centralized on the Drill Site point of interest as well as the area west of The Dome. On the Drill Site, there are five total banners that can be found, while four of them are set up in the lava-filled terrain next to The Dome. There are also land survey beacons on both sites that, once activated, show Hammond Robotics signs similar to the ones that preceded the enormous Harvester. It remains to be seen if we’re also going to get Harvesters here too, but whatever the case, the corporation’s presence on World’s Edge could increase even more as the events of Season 6 unfold. Teaser 2: Rocket thruster on a crane The second teaser on the agenda only showed a single piece of a rocket that looks like a single, albeit large, thruster. To get a look at it for yourself head over to the south side of the Sorting Factory where there’s an orange crane with the new teaser suspended in mid-air. Though there isn’t much to go off of, this could be the first stages of a transportation vessel that our Legends will take to make it to the far off world of Psamathe. When Respawn introduced World’s Edge for the first time, we got a brief glimpse of the dropship peering out of the dense clouds for the new locale. This could be a situation similar to that, in that Respawn is showing us the first images of how we’re going to get to the next Apex Arena. Teaser 3: Rocket engine moved The third teaser is just a small change, with the rocket engine now being moved onto the ground next to the crane. It looks like things are being prepared to get into place. Image via u/DANNYonPC Teaser 4: ‘All Hail Sheila!’ signs Things took a sinister turn on August 5 for the fourth teaser, which came in the shape of cryptic spray-painted signs that read “All Hail Sheila.” While we obviously don’t know who Sheila is or what these signs mean, previously-datamined info suggests they could be a teaser for the upcoming Legend, Rampart. According to a video put out by prominent leaker Shrugtal, Rampart is actually a female character whose first name is Sheila, which would explain the nature of these mysterious signs. But that’s not the only thing this teaser is for: it also gives fans the first official in-game look at what sprays could look like once they’re added to Apex Legends. Their exact release date hasn’t been confirmed, but leaks point to Respawn adding a new feature that’ll allow players to paint the map with pre-set decals, similar to other games. Crypto’s sister teaser saga While all this is going on, there’s more lore appearing to bud involving Crypto and his long-lost sister Mila Alexander, who many believed to be dead. Not too long ago, Mila reached out to the Surveillance Expert to not only reveal that she’s alive, but to also relay a message that could have something to do with the upcoming season. The message was split into three parts and played within the various loot bunkers that have recently opened on Kings Canyon, decipherable only by Crypto’s drone, and it’s clear that the two are in deep trying to navigate a conspiracy that revolves around the Apex Games and one central figure that is behind it all. Apex Legends teaser schedule Now that the gears are turning and Season 6 is on the horizon, dataminers have been shuffling through Apex Legends’ backend files for any new information for the game. While leakers are holding back important story elements so that players can experience them without spoilers, a schedule for when teasers should be coming out has been shared by prominent leaker Shrugtal. People should keep a close eye on Respawn’s sites and the overall Apex map on those dates to see what the studio added in wait for the new season. Dates for the Season 6 teasers are: phase1: 2020-07-27 phase2: 2020-07-30 phase3: 2020-08-02 phase4: 2020-08-05 phase5: 2020-08-08 phase6: 2020-08-11— Shrugtal (@shrugtal) July 27, 2020 What to expect in Apex Legends Season 6? By this time, Apex fans should be well aware that Respawn is no slouch when it comes to introducing new ways for their players to experience the battle royale. If the teasers so far have been any indication, people can expect the devs to move forward a few different storylines at the same time. The first would be the Loba’s mission to put an end to the Synthetic Nightmare’s consciousness to finally leave him dead. And now we also know that Ash is going to be a figure, in some capacity, in the Apex Games. But this is all, presumably, going to happen on Psamathe, which is far off from the boundaries of World’s Edge. Hammond Robotics will have a stronger presence on World’s Edge soon. This could mean that an LTM, special event, or new quest line could come out of this development while the main game takes place on Psamathe. With Kings Canyon getting new updates in Season 5, players may have end up with three different regions and maps they’ll be able to enjoy, which would obviously keep each one from going stale. Whatever the next teasers reveal, it’s an exciting time to be an Apex Legends player and it’ll be fun to see where Respawn take their expansive story from here.

  • All Apex Legends Season 6 map changes revealed for World’s Edge – Dexerto

All Apex Legends Season 6 map changes revealed for World’s Edge Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer UQowmNq2] In addition to the new character and other content coming to Apex Legends, Season 6: Boosted will also be introducing a plethora of map changes for World’s Edge. Apex Legends Season 6 is just around the corner and Respawn Entertainment have already unveiled a lot of the new content that’s on its way, including all of the changes to the “revamped” World’s Edge map. Aside from freshening things up, Respawn Design Director, Jason McCord, explained that these changes present “an opportunity to improve the overall flow and experience of playing the map.” In general, they’ve stopped the train, removed Mirage Voyage, and added a bunch of button-activated blast walls. As for specifics, here’s how they’ve changed or added to the map’s points of interest. Train has been stopped The train is no longer running, so it has instead been split up around the map and its various pathways have been cluttered with some loot and train cars. This is hoped to make some of those previously open locations now have the cover and equipment necessary to encourage gunfights and rotations. Launch Site West of The Dome, where there once was an open lava field, the Launch Site features a gargantuan rocketship overlooking four large control rooms with tons of loot and catwalks. While we still don’t know for sure what’s going to happen beyond S6, there’s speculation that Respawn could add a new map as early as next season, and many believe this will be the very same rocket ship that gets all the Legends there. And, to make rotations more interesting, a nearby tunnel has been added through the cliff in the direction of The Tree. Countdown replaces Drill Site Goodbye Drill Site, hello Countdown. A fortress, control rooms, and a deep pit filled with loot. Countdown is another Hammond Robotics facility addition, featuring a giant pit in the middle that can be opened up to access higher-tier loot. However, with this reward also comes great risk: without gaining control over all sides of the location, the pit can turn into a trap if any enemy teams happen to see you entering it. Countdown also includes three of the aforementioned blast walls, which can be raised to provide additional cover for whichever team has set up shop there. Staging Smaller than the first two major changes, Staging is an area located to the east of Harvester and it brings loot at a lower vantage point — encouraging interesting, mobile fights that take advantage of the stopped train cars for cover. Survey Camp & Skyhook Cut Through Rotations, rotations, rotations. In the spirit of adding flexibility to the map’s movement options, a new tunnel has been drilled through the cliff between Survey Camp and Skyhook. There are loot and miscellaneous cover in there, so it should make for some interesting routing decisions. Lava Fissure Geyser In addition to the geyser north of The Dome, a new one has been added just south of Lava Fissure. Developers expect that this will help teams out by “making crossing the deep sulfur river a bit easier.” All of these changes should do wonders in terms of revitalizing the second Apex Legends map, but are intrinsically directed at fleshing out gameplay possibilities for teams. The new loot locations open up drop spots while the novel mechanics, like blast walls, can influence spots teams to feel more comfortable holding down. But the most interesting adjustments come in the additions of various new paths and cover, which will enable squads to adapt to the ring more fluidly and experiment with options to get to safety with some action along the way. You will be able to enjoy these map changes and all of the other new content when Apex Legends Season 6: Boosted launches on Tuesday, August 18 at 1 AM ET.

  • All Apex Legends Season 6 buffs & nerfs to weapons and Legends – Dexerto

All Apex Legends Season 6 buffs & nerfs to weapons and Legends Respawn Entertainment[jwplayer UQowmNq2]The new Season 6 Boosted update in Apex Legends is overhauling the Recon class while introducing even more balance changes to weapons and characters in the battle royale. Along with a completely new Volt SMG, the Respawn studio brought in a new Legends in Rampart. The Apex Games arena is about to look completely different, and not just because of the upgrades to World’s Edge. In Season 6, there will be nine Legends that will undergo a change of some kind and the arsenal has 10 weapons with notable changes as well as updates to the items in supply drops and ground loot. Weapons Right off the bat, Apex Legends now has the new Volt SMG, which is sure to be picked up by anyone that can find one. Respawn has made the R99 only available in Supply Drops, taking the place of the Devotion which can now be found on the ground. But that means the submachine gun is going to get a little bit more of a kick to make up for it’s scarcity. It’s damage has been increased slightly, while bumping up the magazine size to 32 with an ammo reserve of 160. As for the Hemlock, Respawn actually made it a bit more stable to use. Not that it was a problem before, but players are definitely going to enjoy the slightly reduced recoil in for burst mode. The biggest change in Apex weapons actually comes with the update to the Precision Choke, in that it’s now gone. It has been removed from the loot pool, however, its effects have been integrated with the Triple Take and Peacekeeper by default. This comes in the same patch Respawn amped the Triple Take with an increased fire rate and magazine size. This could be a sniper’s new favorite pickup. Weapons (and loot) patch notes In Supply Drop: R99 Damage increased from 11 to 12 – Increased magazine size to 32 – Ammo Reserve: 160 – – – R99 – Out of Supply Drop- Into Ground Loot: Devotion Clip size reduced back to original values (36/40/44/48). – – – Devotion – Hemlok Reduced vertical recoil in burst mod – Slightly reducing recoil in pattern on 2nd and 3rd shot so first burst kicks less – Burst mode time between bursts .32 -> .28 – – Charge Rifle Will now use 2 ammo per shot. – Increased mag size from 4 to 8 – – Triple Take Buff: Increase fire rate 1.25 -> 1.4 – Increased Mag size from (5/6/7/8) to (6/7/8/9) – Built the Choke hop up into the weapon by default. Toggle select-fire to enable/disable the Choke – – PK Built the Choke hop up into the weapon by default. Toggle select-fire to enable/disable the Choke – – Spitfire Improve recoil controllability – – Havoc Updated Havoc with a new recoil pattern Designer Note: The Havoc’s existing recoil pattern had constant horizontal movement. This means it would either be too difficult to control if there was too much recoil, or far too easy to control if there was too little recoil. Updating to a new pattern which is more consistent in style with existing recoil patterns. – – Updated Havoc with a new recoil pattern – Mozambique Increased clip size from 3 to 4. – – P2020 Increased Damage from 13 to 15 – Decreased Hammerpoint damage multiplier from 2.7 to 2.35. This will leave Hammerpoint P2020 damage unchanged in most scenarios.. – Increased mag size from (10/13/15/18) to (12/14/16/18) – – Sentinel Only requires one shield cell to charge if the player has the gold armor. – – Prowler Slightly Reduce vertical recoil in burst mode – Increase horizontal recoil in Auto Mode – – Legend changes Along with new Legend Rampart, a host of Legends are getting amped with new abilities or a crucial change to start blistering their success rate in a team. The Legends that fall under the Recon class now have Pathfinder’s old passive that lets them use the Survey Beacons. This will give the class an actual meaningful reason to be classed under Recon for the first time since the battle royale came out. This also means that Pathfinder will be getting a new passive that will make him more unique, but until then the bot will reduce the total cooldown of its Zipline Gun with every survey beacon it uses. Bloodhound will be more vicious in the Games now that their Beast of the Hunt ulti gains a healthier duration of time with every kill or knockdown. Meanwhile, Crypto’s drone can now do more than just scout ahead, the Season 6 update will let it activate respawn and survey beacons. Revenant had a special nerf seeing as now you can’t use Wraith’s Dimensional Rift after taking the Death Totem’s effect. This was to stop teams from essentially using the Rev/Wraith/Crypto combo would result “in two back to back runs at the enemy team that they could do very little about.” Another major change lies in Loba’s Black Market cooldown which was taken from a full three minutes to just 90 seconds. Legends patch notes Recon Legends All Recon legends (Bloodhound, Crypto, and Pathfinder) can now use Survey Beacons to get the next ring location. Crypto can use his drone to instantly get this information. Pathfinder: Context: Giving all Recon legends access to survey beacons makes Pathfinder less unique, and obviously we don’t love that. For now, we’re giving our friendly robot a small buff to his ultimate cooldown when he uses a survey beacon, but in the future we will take another look at Pathfinder to see what else we could do to make him feel more unique. – Passive: Each time Pathfinder scans a survey beacon, the total cooldown of Zipline Gun is reduced. – Numbers: Zipline Gun cooldown reduced by 10s each time Pathfinder scans a beacon. Up to 6 rings per game means the total cooldown of Zipline Gun can go from 120s to 60s. – – Bloodhound: Context: Bloodhound fulfills a very clear role in Apex Legends: they’re the information gatherer and tracker, but currently their performance leaves a lot to be desired. In this patch, we wanted to double down on their ultimate being their big moment of becoming a god-like tracker. Bloodhound already gives up some information to the enemy when they scan or use the ultimate (it makes a noticeable sound), so we think there is room for a lot more power during the ultimate. – Beast of the Hunt: Now gains even more duration when Bloodhound scores a knockdown or kill with the ultimate about to run out. – Eye of the Allfather: During Beast of the Hunt, Eye of the Allfather now comes out twice as fast and has a much shorter cooldown. – Numbers: Beast of the Hunt duration extension 5s → [5s – 15s] based on remaining duration – Eye of the Allfather CD during Beast of the Hunt: 25s → 6s – Eye of the Allfather total use time during Beast of the Hunt: 1.8s → 0.9s – – – Crypto: Context: Crypto is a particularly interesting recon character: the amount of information he can gather for his team with the drone is very high, but the fact that he has to switch over to his drone leaves him vulnerable and often at a great distance from his team. Because he has no abilities without his drone, we figure there’s room for even more power when he’s in his drone. – Surveillance drone: Crypto can now activate respawn and survey beacons from his drone. Doing so is instant instead of requiring a prolonged use. – Made the surveillance drone slightly more consistent to hit but also doubled its hitpoints. – – Drone EMP: EMP will now slow teammates caught in the blast, even if they had no shields. This means that players who have used Revenant’s Death Totem will also be slowed. – – Numbers: Surveillance Drone 30HP → 60HP – Surveillance Drone hitbox size: cube of edge length 16 → cube of edge length 24 – – – Other Legends: Revenant: Context: We’re happy to see that dropping the range restriction on Death Totem brought a lot more Revenants into play, but we’ve been watching a particularly frustrating combo play out in professional level play involving a squad of Revenant, Wraith, and Crypto, where using the three ultimates together resulted in two back to back runs at the enemy team that they could do very little about. We’ve attacked part of that in the Crypto EMP change, but here’s the other part aimed at making this play less overwhelming. – Death Totem: For 2s after being recalled by the Death Totem, players cannot use Wraith’s Dimensional Rift. – – – Octane: Stim: Can now use Stim while healing, but stim will not remove the slow you incur from healing. – – Loba: Context: While Loba was initially very popular, she’s been struggling to keep up more recently, so we’re tossing her a little buff. If you’re curious why we’ve chosen to buff her ultimate rather than her tactical: we’re seeing that she has decent combat success but that teams with her on them don’t win as much as, say, teams with Lifeline or Wattson. This suggests to us that her out of combat utility (that is to say, how she funnels loot to her team) isn’t doing enough. – Black Market: Lowered cooldown from 3min to 90s – – – Gibraltar: Defensive Bombardment: Increased cooldown from 3 minutes to 4.5 minutes – – – Defensive Bombardment: – Bangalore: Rolling Thunder: Decreased cooldown from 4.5 minutes to 3 minutes – – – Rolling Thunder: – Wattson: Interception Pylon Trophy system will now shoot down Caustic barrels in flight if they would have landed inside the range of the trophy. – – – Interception Pylon – Don’t forget to take a look at the full Apex Legends Season 6 patch notes to get caught up on all the changes coming in the next era of the battle royale.

  • All Apex Legends Season 5 easter eggs and teasers so far – Dexerto

All Apex Legends Season 5 easter eggs and teasers so far RespawnAhead of Apex Legends season five, fans have been noticing a few teasers springing up around World’s Edge and Kings Canyon for a limited time. We’re going to round them up here and take a look at what else is in store. With Apex Legends set to turn from season four to season five, Respawn Entertainment have already dropped a few teasers about what is coming next. All roads seemingly lead to Loba being the next legend joining the battle royale roster, as well as some absolutely huge potential map changes. On certain days, these new clues have been going live in-game – with eagle-eyed fans scouring both World’s Edge and Kings Canyon in hopes of finding them first. However, if you’ve missed out and haven’t yet seen the teasers, don’t worry, we’re going to round up everything we know about them – and what else could be coming in the future. The first apparent teaser came all the way back on April 10, when players noticed that a door had sprung up at Hydro Dam after seemingly never being there before. Fans went back and forth over what the door could mean – with plenty suggesting that it might be how Respawn introduces Loba. Design Director at Respawn Entertainment, Jason McCord, responded to question about the door with a teasing gif that didn’t give much away. Apex players uncovered the second season five teaser on April 17, after a small device appeared at Dome with images of layouts for an underground location. It took a few hours but fans realized that it was hinting at the Singh Labs location that had played a big role on Kings Canyon. One in particular, Redditor OrcusDei, noted that the door teaser seemingly led inside the location – with this possibly being the next major map change. Apex leaker Shrugtal revealed that there are still, at least, two more pieces of the puzzle to be uncovered. The first of which would go live on Monday, April 27 at 10 am PDT. Like the other clues, that would last for a day, before the other clue would be cycled into the battle royale on Thursday, April 30 – again at 10 am PDT. If there any more clues past this point, however, still remains to be seen. It’s also unknown if they will be any more subtle than the small devices that have been popping up. Apex Legends season five has been pushed back by a week and will now kick off on Tuesday, May 12, so Respawn has plenty of time to get the hype train up to full steam.

  • All Apex Legends Season 5 buffs & nerfs to weapons and Legends – Dexerto

All Apex Legends Season 5 buffs & nerfs to weapons and Legends Respawn EntertainmentThe launch of Apex Legends Season 5: Fortune’s Favor came as part of a massive update that also implemented major balancing changes to several of the battle royale’s weapons and Legends. As is always the case at the start of a new season in Apex Legends, Fortune’s Favor has brought with it tons of new content, changes, and things for players to discover throughout the duration of Season 5. In total, seven weapons and eight Legends were affected by those changes, not to mention the tweaks Respawn Entertainment made to Hop-Ups and Gold Armor. Weapon changes As had already been confirmed the week prior, Season 5 does not feature a new weapon; instead, Respawn decided to make some adjustments to the current pool of guns with the hopes of making them all balanced and viable. Perhaps the biggest news is that the Mastiff, which had been available only via Care Packages, is now a regular weapon that can be found along with other default loot. As a result, however, the devs have critically reduced its power, decreasing the damage per pellet, headshot multiplier, fire rate and projectile size. Conversely, the Peacekeeper will now be taking the place of the Mastiff as a Care Package-exclusive gun, so its power has been increased to fit that label. This includes a tightened pellet spread pattern, reduced rechamber time and reload time and increased projectile size. Other than that, the RE-45 and Alternator were both buffed, while the Longbow DMR, Winman, and Havoc were all nerfed. A Havoc nerf had been high on the players’ wish list for a while now, so most will be happy to see that Respawn opted to listen to their feedback. The list of fully-kitted gold weapons was updated and it now features the Longbow DMR, Hemlok, Spitfire, EVA-8, and RE-45, so be on the lookout for those. Legend changes There’s no doubt that the biggest change when it comes to Legends is Mirage, who received a major rework and now features totally new Ultimate and Passive abilities. The Ult, called ‘Life of the Party,’ deploys several decoys that mimic Mirage’s every move, with a cooldown of 60 seconds. The new Passive, ‘Now You See Me…,’ cloaks the character whenever he’s using a respawn beacon or reviving a teammate, who too goes invisible. This is in addition to the standard ability that cloaks Mirage when he’s downed. The Legends that were buffed include Bloodhound (Tactical now lasts longer with decreased Cooldown), Crypto (Drone can ping banners), Lifeline (increased Lifeline bin ratio), Caustic (gas no longer slows teammates), and Octane (reduced Launch Pad cooldown). Lifeline was also on the list of characters that were nerfed, as she will no longer find Knockdown Shields in secret bin compartments. Other nerfs include Gibraltar (reduced Dome Shield duration) and Pathfinder (Grappling Hook takes longer to cool down), the latter being a major change to the top-tier Legend. Mirage – Now it’s a party! Your favorite trickster has learned a few new tricks to bamboozle his enemies in this new rework for Season 5. Designer Note: The hope for this rework is that it gives more depth to Mirage gameplay by giving Mirage players avenues to get better at Bamboozling people. – Tactical: Psyche Out Pressing the character utility action button allows Mirage to gain control of his decoy. – When controlling the decoy, it will mimic Mirage’s every move. – Decoys now last for 60 seconds. – Releasing another decoy will remove the previous decoy. – – Ultimate: Life of the Party Mirage deploys a team of decoys that mimic his every move (think “Emergency Dance Party” from DUMMIEs Big Day). – Cooldown 60 seconds. – – Passive: Now You See Me… In addition to cloaking when downed, Mirage also cloaks while using a respawn beacon and reviving a teammate (the teammate is also cloaked). – – Mirage’s “You got Bamboozled” line will now trigger when you bamboozle an enemy, instead of when you release a decoy. – – Bloodhound Tactical: Eye of the Allfather Increased Sonar Detection from 3 seconds to 4 seconds. – Decreased Cooldown from 35 seconds to 25 seconds. – – – Tactical: Eye of the Allfather – Crypto Tactical: Drone Crypto can now ping banners, while in drone, to warn teammates of nearby squads. – – – Tactical: Drone – Lifeline Increased Lifeline bin ratio to 20% – Removed Knockdown Shields from Secret Compartment loot pool – – Caustic Designer note: this is something that is a bit of an experiment. We will be keeping an eye out to make sure this change doesn’t cause any degenerate player behavior. – Friendly gas no longer slows teammates. – Caustic traps are no longer triggered from the other side of a door. – – Octane Designer note: This is a first step in pushing more team utility for Octane. We have more updates planned but they didn’t make the cutoff for this patch. – Launch Pad cooldown is reduced from 90 seconds to now 60 seconds. – – Gibraltar Designer note: Internal data shows that Gibraltar’s performance in individual fights is in a good place, but we want to bring down his power a bit in team fights. – Reduced Dome Shield duration from 18s to 12s. – – Pathfinder Designer note: Given the power of quick repositioning in Apex, being able to use Pathfinder’s Grappling Hook multiple times in a fight is both too powerful and muddies combat legibility. – The cooldown for Grappling Hook has been increased from 15 seconds to 35 seconds. – – Make sure to check out the full Apex Legends Season 5 update patch notes for details about all other changes and additions.
