Here’s what will happen to him. The Demon Slayer Corps is the only organization that works to defeat the demon and protect the people. They are led by Kagaya, a man suffering from a strange illness. Despite being young himself, he considers all the members of the corps his children and mourns their sacrifices. Kagaya always regretted having a weak body, which didn’t allow him to take up a sword and fight demons. The corps has hundreds of members, and yet he remembers everyone’s names and cares for them equally regardless of their ranking. Demon Slayer: To The Hashira Training is the latest addition to the movie, and it features scenes from the Hashira Training arc of the manga. While the arc mostly features the corps’ desire to become stronger, it also confirms the tragic fate awaiting Kagaya Ubuyashiki. Warning: major spoilers from the Demon Slayer movie and manga! What happens to Kagaya Ubuyashiki in the Demon Slayer movie? Defeating two Upper Moons at once is a historic moment for the Demon Slayer Corps. In the Entertainment District arc, Tengen and Tanjiro’s team slayed Upper Moon Six, the first Upper Moon to die at the hands of Demon Slayers in over 100 years. Kagaya was delighted when he learned the news and declared that this generation would defeat Muzan. And, in the Swordsmith Village arc, Mitsuri, Tokito, Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Genya defeated Upper Moons Four and Five. After this, only the top three Upper Moons are remaining. Hence, in the Demon Slayer movie, an emergency meeting is held to discuss the battle and the appearance of the Demon Slayer Marks in Mitsuri, Tokito, and Tanjiro. However, what’s surprising is that Kagaya isn’t the one who led the meeting; his wife Amane is. She declares that Kagaya is in no shape to move or talk, and hence, he will not be leading any meetings in the future. His condition was already worsening in the Swordsmith Village arc. However, in the movie, we see his body wrapped around in bandages with the purple mark covering him almost entirely. He is barely able to speak as he thanks his wife for everything she’s done for him. The scene isn’t in the manga, but it’s enough to confirm that Kagaya’s days are numbered. His illness is a result of the curse that befell the Ubuyashiki bloodline, a blood relative of Muzan Kibutsuji. When Muzan became a demon, the entire bloodline was cursed because of it. The sickness is a genetic disorder that left the Ubuyashiki family with weak bodies and fewer than 30 years of life. While all boys will die before reaching the age of 30, girls will also suffer the same fate if they don’t marry and change their surnames by the age of 13. Hence, they created the Demon Slayer Corps for the sole purpose of defeating the demon progenitor.

Demon Slayer movie seals Kagaya Ubuyashiki’s fate CrunchyrollDemon Slayer movie has finally hit international theatres, but it doesn’t bode well for Kagaya Ubuyashiki.
