Dragon Ball is renowned for its fantastical fights and over-the-top dramatic anime action, but we tend to forget there are real people in the series who feel pain and are scared of dying. This school of thought has caught the attention of fans as they discuss some of the worst ways they’ve seen people go in the series. Death in the Dragon Ball has little consequence when you can rely on the magical wish-granting dragon Shenron to have your back if worse comes to worst. However, you cannot deny that the methods some villains use to dish out death and destruction can be ruthless and trauma-inducing. Yes, they often come back to life, but they still die first, and that’s got to suck. Fans discuss worst ways to go in Dragon Ball Being resurrected may be in Dragon Ball common, but the ways these fans have reminded us of the brutal ways characters have died or been otherwise severely injured will leave you saying, “Gonna need a Senzu for that one” at the very least. Spoilers for Dragon Ball ahead. While death seems more of a hiccup than a genuine consequence in Dragon Ball fans acknowledge the way some main characters and occasionally the innocent citizens get brutalized can come across a bit traumatizing. While Krillin didn’t die from the attack as u/infernalbutcher678 points out it was anything but pleasent. Going back to that “innocent citizens” mention, bystanders are not immune to the effects of the Z Warriors battles, as u/Akschadt points out when Cell went on a rampage drinking people by dissolving their insides, and when Majin Buu made someone explode by forcefully going down their throat until the victim exploaded. Even villains such as the forgettable Spopovich of the Majin Buu saga, most known for his ferocious fight with Videl, faced a cruel fate of slowly swelling up until he eventually exploded from a magic attack from his boss Babidi when he ran out of use for the fighter. We’ll warn you now: it’s pretty brutal by Dragon Ball standards. Though I’m sure we all wish we could fly, fire energy beams from our palms, or go Super Saiyan like Goku in Dragon Ball, we are thankful we live in a world where a tiny evil wizard can’t blow us up with just a thought or a walking bug-man won’t literally drink our insides leaving us as skin sacks… ew.

Dragon Ball fans choose the worst way to die in the series Toei AnimationWhether it’s being blown away with an energy beam, pulverized by a flurry of fists, or being melted and eaten by the perfect lifeform, some of the deaths in Dragon Ball are outright gnarly.
