My Hero Academia You\u2019re Next\u2019s fight scenes expand Deku and Bakugo\u2019s \u201camazing\u201d friendship TOHOStars of My Hero Academia: You\u2019re Next have teased how the tense relationship between Bakugo and Deku will evolve in the upcoming movie. 2024 is truly the year of My Hero Academia. Besides the manga ending, we have Season 7 of the anime show and a new movie, You\u2019re Next. In anticipation of the superhero anime\u2019s fourth film, Daiki Yamashita and Nobuhiko Okamoto attended the Japanese premiere, where they spoke about the story. They revealed that Bakugo and Deku grow closer as a result of what happens, admiring each other more than before. \u201cThere are more scenes where we fight together,\u201d Nobuhiko states, per Oricon. \u201cI think that they recognize each other as heroes because they can fight together without any personal feelings.\u201d Daiki concurs: \u201cNormally, I think people would make a solid plan and fight, but these two can instantly choose the best way to fight. I think that\u2019s amazing.\u201d Bakugo is one of the more explosive students in Class 1-A, literally and figuratively. He\u2019s always been the Vegeta to Deku\u2019s Goku; grumpy and with a villainous streak, but ultimately erring towards good. Him and Deku have a strong chemistry that\u2019s grown throughout the main plot. Bakugo recognizes Deku\u2019s power and potential, and his need for allies in the battle against Shigaraki. More than that, Deku\u2019s kindness stirs something in Bakugo that we\u2019ve seen blossom over the last six seasons and three movies. How You\u2019re Next adds to that remains to be seen, but an evil All Might, known as Dark Might, means it\u2019ll definitely be a challenge for all involved. The perfect tonic to the bittersweet conclusion of the manga after a decade. Unfortunately, we\u2019ll be waiting until October 11, 2024 to find out about You\u2019re Next for ourselves.
