The latter is being played by Mark Harelik. We already knew the former wasn\u2019t going to be portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis despite the hopes of the fans, but who has been chosen is being well-received. Katey Segal, of Sons of Anarchy, Futurama, and Married with Children fame, is playing Dr Kureha for the One Piece live-action TV show. A massive star in the world of television, not only does she bring a wealth of experience to the role and franchise, but she already looks somewhat like the character, with long wavy hair and a similar build. \u201cI know people wanted Jamie Lee Curtis but Sagal is a great casting choice. She should be able to match the energy you would expect for Kureha,\u201d one commenter on Reddit stated. \u201cI think it\u2019s a better choice even,\u201d another added. \u201cYou guys don\u2019t know how perfect this casting is for Katey Sagal. Having someone like Curtis touted for the character threatened to create an impossible standard for Netflix and producers, but it appears they\u2019ve managed to overcome that with an ideal replacement.
