Apex Legends players discover insane Crypto stealth exploit in Season 22 Respawn EntertainmentMere hours after Season 22 went live, players already discovered a game-changing exploit with his new stealth passive that allows him to do things he really shouldn\u2019t be able to while completely invisible. Crypto has been strong for a long time when it comes to coordinated, high-level play, but he\u2019s really struggled when it comes to being effective in the hands of an average player. He\u2019s not a very popular Legend. So, Season 22 gave Crypto the ability to stealth while using his drone, something that makes him much more reliable in sticky situations. That stealth lets this Legend do some things that may not be intended. Players will surely figure out more as the Season goes on, but there\u2019s already a strong exploit: Healing while stealthed. Apex Legends player Phisheyy was one of the first to discover that, if you pull out a healing item as you\u2019re tossing the drone, you can heal while fully stealthed. However, there are some caveats to this exploit. If you\u2019ve already got the drone out and are just tapping into the feed, it doesn\u2019t work. The healing item will only go off if you toggle it just as the throwing animation is going out. That said, you can immediately fly around in the drone as the heal is going off, meaning your drone\u2019s location won\u2019t be a dead giveaway as to where you\u2019re hiding if you chuck it out fast enough. Additionally, if you pop a Phoenix Kit in stealth doing this exploit and immediately EMP, you can reliably enter a fight with full HP while being in the radius of your own EMP. It\u2019s possible to do this with a Shield Battery as well, but the timing is much tighter on not damaging your own shield with it. Crypto has always lacked the ability to make an immediate and meaningful impact on a fight if he\u2019s already in the mix, but this exploit gives smart players some huge outplay potential.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
