Apex Legends players frustrated with Ranked Series 3 split Respawn EntertainmentFans of Respawn Entertainment\u2019s Apex Legends have reported a number of frustrations with the game\u2019s recent \u2018Ranked Split\u2019, as the game\u2019s Ranked Series 3 undergoes its mid-way point transition. Ranked Play in Apex Legends has been pretty popular with players, as they do their best to achieve the maximum rank of Apex Predator and compete against the very best. The ongoing Ranked Series 3 \u2013 part of Apex Legends Season 4 \u2013 has seen players frustrated after undergoing the planned \u2018soft reset\u2019. As with previous Ranked Series, Respawn opted to split Series 3 into two, offering players the chance to play on both World\u2019s Edge and King\u2019s Canyon. However, a number of players are reporting that ranked matchmaking has been affected \u2013 and not for the better. One player explained that the soft reset saw them relegated from Gold I to Silver III, but in their recent games they have been put up against Diamond or Predator opponents. \u201cIt was so far skewed out of balance with regard to the skill levels of teams in the game it was basically unplayable as an average player,\u201d they explained. \u201cIs it because of the split and people are climbing to where they should be yet somehow not allowing lower ranked players to have any chance whatsoever?\u201d It does not seem that the player is alone in their frustrations, with multiple other Apex Legends fans reporting similar problems. \u201cThis is what solo ranked players need to put up with, they should not be playing in platinum lobbies, makes the whole thing pointless,\u201d another said, after encountering players far above their rank. The issues have led to many arguing that ranked matchmaking is currently worse than those in normal, casual matches. Furthermore, some players have reported bugs surrounding their ranks, including two ranks being displayed simultaneously. Any significant update will be sure to cause issues, but it seems this one is frustrating players who are striving to perform in Respawn\u2019s dedicated ranked mode. Respawn have not yet responded directly to players\u2019 issues, but will certainly be quick to iron out the issues in their most seriously-taken mode.
