Fans of Bangalore were especially excited for Season 6 after Casiello, back in July, said that the Professional Soldier would be “front and center” in the Apex Legends narrative. He suggested that a major storyline regarding Bangalore would be explored in the game’s sixth season. However, when it dropped on August 18, there was not a lot to be found, leaving some fans disappointed. He was asked about the Bangalore back story by one Apex player on October 4 and, in answering the question, revealed the Broken Ghost sequel “never saw the light of day”. “Ah yes…back when I was writing the Broken Ghost sequel that never saw the light of day,” Casiello responded. “What lesson did we learn back then, kids? Instead of gameplay segments, they moved to a comic book format, with new comics coming out each week up until the final ‘First Ship’ in week 7. While Bangalore fans will still be disappointed with the shelving of back story for their favorite legend, game development is always subject to changes, as Respawn regularly shake things up even as they go. There is some good news for Bangalore mains though, as leakers claim she’s next in line to get an Heirloom, after Caustic.
