Even though it launched to much fanfare back in February of 2019 and looked set to be the ‘Fortnite killer,’ Apex Legends has had plenty of issues to go along with its success. Respawn Entertainment’s foray into the battle royale market is currently into its third season of seasonal content, with the fourth right around the corner. While players are looking forward to getting back into the King’s Canyon map that they came to know and love, a brand new bug has seen the game struggle to load World’s Edge and place players onto a strange floating surface – all while making it seem like there is a normal match in progress. In a post to the Apex Legends subreddit, user AnonymousBnS showcased a clip from a recent game where the map failed to load in. While this has been an issue in season three – with players being sucked to the ground and killed, or greeted with hypnotic lights – this bug let them play. However, instead of picking a landing spot and grabbing loot, the match became a brawl to end all brawls, as every legend immediately set about throwing a barrage of melee attacks. What made it even stranger, though, are the incredibly disorientating lines that appeared on the screen. It’s not just the fact that the game isn’t working as planned, but that if you want to partake in the strange fun, you might end up feeling a bit sick afterwards. Even though it looked pretty insane, fellow players who laid their eyes upon the clip recognized that it might actually be fun to experience at least once. “Omg this looks like fun though,” commented user essjane. Another, a Redditor by the name of SLonoed, added: “Can we have this as a next game mod?” Comment byu/AnonymousBnS from discussion inapexlegends However, not everyone was as enthusiastic about playing on the mapless setting, with other players reporting that they’d run into a similar bug, but instead of fist fighting, they were left to continually fly around in circles. Of course, the battle royale isn’t supposed to be played like this at all, but seeing as it’s cropping up a good bit, it’s worth noting that Respawn hasn’t yet launched a fix. It remains to be seen if they do address the issue or if its something that will have to wait until the new season.

Bizarre Apex Legends bug turns game into fist fight with no map Apex Legends players have uncovered a strange new bug that gets rid of the World’s Edge map and throws their legends into a mapless fist fight for the ages.
