How Cross-Progression works in Apex Legends Respawn EntertainmentSeason 19 of Apex Legends finally saw the long-awaited arrival of cross-progression. Players on multiple platforms can merge their accounts and enjoy all their stats and unlocks across one unified system. Here\u2019s how cross-progression works in Apex Legends. Cross-progression has been the most requested feature by far in Apex Legends for the better part of three years. While cross-play was finally added in 2020, it took some time for cross-progression functionality to follow. This, Respawn says, was because the game was never created with cross-progression in mind, and so retro-fitting it was no easy task. However, given the fervor from the community about it, they knew it had to be done one way or another. As of Season 19, any Apex player who logs in and has multiple accounts will be able \u2013 or rather, forced \u2013 to merge their accounts into one single account, regardless of which platform they are on. Cross-progression merges accounts in Apex Legends Respawn explains that cross-progression will be mandatory, and there are no \u2018decisions\u2019 for players to make. After receiving an in-game prompt, all your existing accounts on each platform will be merged. The account with the highest level will be treated as the \u201cmaster account,\u201d with the others simply ceasing to exist. However, if you have multiple accounts with the same level, the one you last logged into will become the \u201cmaster account.\u201d That said, don\u2019t panic, your unlockables like badges and cosmetics will be combined, and you will receive information about the total items being transferred. This means that after this is complete, you will be playing on the same account, regardless of platform, so PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch will all be linked together. Cross-progression merging will occur like this: Players with multiple accounts will be notified in-game – Account merging is mandatory, there is no choice to make – The highest level account is the \u201cmaster account\u201d Again, if all your accounts feature the same account level, the one you last logged into will become the \u201cmaster account\u201d – – Same experience and cosmetics on every platform – What is merged with Apex Cross-Progression? Respawn has clarified what will and won\u2019t be merged, including cosmetics, content, and stats. Bear in mind that stats will not be combined, and will instead reflect your primary account. Along with that, if you lose anything that can\u2019t be earned through gameplay, EA\u2019s support team will try to assist with getting it back to your account. PS+ and Xbox Gold items may be similar, they will be limited to the platform they were earned on unless they were earned on both platforms. Note: the current Apex Legends EA Play Subscription Rewards must be redeemed by October 31, 2023. They will not be available after this date in preparation for Cross Progression\u2019s launch.
