Apex Legends’ talented community Respawn Entertainment released their action packed title on February 4, and it has since spawned vast intrigue by the gaming community’s more talented creators since launch. YouTuber ‘OnTarget’ published an astonishing video which he called “The most ambitious Apex Legends Crossover” starring Legends Bloodhound and Mirage with an epic twist. The video starts out like any other gameplay sequence in Apex Legends, but quickly changes after an attacking Mirage encounters a Bloodhound lying in wait. OnTarget then goes full blown tribute by dubbing over the moment with the famous “Oh, you’re approaching me?” scene from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and it only gets crazier from there. (Video below shows one of the source references at 0:15 for mobile viewers. SPOILERS for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) Incredible references to anime and games The video cuts to the Legends fighting in a classic format reminiscent of traditional Pokemon games and is laced with various nodes to everything from Undertale, Dragon Ball, Super Smash Bros, and much more. The video even makes a reference to a popular Apex Legends meme in the form of the Mozambique. “I don’t need my stando-power,” the Bloodhound says. “I have a Mozambique.” Shortly after Bloodhound is seen getting KO’d after his “golden gun” Mozambique does absolutely nothing even at short range, which seems par for the course. Creating the insane video The video is a masterclass in both painstaking editing and incredible patience since OnTarget spent a crazy amount of time putting the piece together. “The editing went nice and smooth right until the moment my premiere decided to go full retard and lag/crash every three minutes,” OnTarget said in a YouTube reply. “If I didn’t have such problems it could have been done in around 17-20 hrs. With lags and extremely long render time it took ~25-30 [hours].” OnTarget said the rendering alone took about eight hours to complete which was aside from his artistic choice of tracing the punches and kicks in the final sequence. Although OnTarget refers to the video as a “shitpost,” the Apex community have been giving him a deserving round of applause for making on of the best fan creations to date.

Incredible crossover pairs Apex Legends with Anime, Pokemon, Super Smash Bros, and more OnTarget YouTubeApex Legends fans have been creating incredible crossovers featuring the characters of the popular battle royale, but a new meticulous, anime-inspired complication could be the best so far.
