Since Apex Legends’ launch back in February, it hasn’t received a whole lot in terms of updates despite promising to provide regular updates to the game. That doesn’t mean the developers have been entirely away from the game as they have been constantly behind the scenes banning players and there have been some updates that have come, most notably the one that introduced the Season 1 Battle Pass. Respawn gives insight on why they don’t make promises for Apex Legends Overall, however, there’s been plenty of silence from Respawn, which caused fans to begin wondering why the development team doesn’t go into any detail with what is coming to the game. In an effort to bring clarity to the situation, sn Apex Legends developer, Brent Mcleod, who goes by Scriptacus on Reddit posted a lengthy comment explaining why the team doesn’t go into much detail saying what they are working on. “As to why I don’t give specific answers about unannounced or requested features (like alternate modes); far too often it’s unwise to do so,” he wrote on Reddit. “Just mentioning this kind of stuff gets taken as a promise. The timeline starts the moment it’s mentioned and everyone has a different expectation of what’s a reasonable timeline.” Gaming websites could actually hurt developers While he does believe fans will create their own timelines, he adds on that gaming publications can also help create a negative narrative. “If I were to say ‘Yes, feature X will come to the game someday’ it would likely get picked up by blogs and gaming news sites, posted as ‘Respawn says X is coming to Apex,’ and depending on how those articles are written, they’re going to set expectations incorrectly for a lot of people.” While the response should certainly help calm the fears of many Apex Legends players, there will no doubt be plenty of players who are still looking for new content and updates in the weeks to come.

Respawn explains reason for silence between Apex Legends updates EAFollowing much silence in the weeks since release and many questions from the community, an Apex Legends developer has explained why Respawn won’t go into details about the new features coming into the game.
