Since the release of Season 4, Respawn’s battle royale has been plagued with a number of bugs and glitches, including an invincible fridge, strange dogs appearing at the Harvester, and now an invisibility cloak for Bangalore. Apex Legends players have been reporting the glitch—which removes Bangalore’s character model completely and leaves only a floating weapon to be seen by enemies—for some time, and now Respawn has finally taken action. The two offending skins, Bangalore’s default legendary Apex Overdrive, and the spacesuit skin’s color-swapped alternate ‘Killer B,’ which gives the outfit a yellow wash, have both been disabled by Respawn for the foreseeable future. “We’ve currently disabled the Apex Overdrive and Killer B Bangalore skins as we work through a bug causing her to become temporarily invisible,” Respawn devs revealed in a tweet on the official account on February 19. While there was no indication regarding when players would be able to re-access the oufits, Respawn did confirm they would be looking to “turn them back on in a future patch, once this doggone issue has been fixed.” We’ve currently disabled the Apex Overdrive and Killer B Bangalore skins as we work through a bug causing her to become temporarily invisible. We’ll turn them back on in a future patch once this doggone issue has been fixed. — Apex Legends (@PlayApex) February 19, 2020 Did Respawn also secretly address another hot topic? While Respawn has yet to directly address the mysterious dog sightings players have been reporting across World’s Edge, their update regarding the Bangalore invisibility exploit may have a small hat-tip to the mystery. On February 12, an eagle-eyed Apex player shared what appeared to be a dog running across the new Harvest platforms. It took the community by storm. Soon, many were theorizing that Loba—a potential canine-based legend—was on her way. While Respawn has remained fairly tight-lipped over the whole mystery, phrasing in the Feb 19 Bangalore skin update may have revealed their hand. More specifically, the use of the word “doggone,” which could have been made simpler for the community by using the word ‘annoying,’ seems to point towards the dog theories, and potentially suggests Bangalore was the root of the issue. For now, however, the focus is on the Bangalore issue, and it looks like Respawn is finally making sure that they can stamp it out once and for all. While there’s been no immediate fix, and some have been left without their cosmetic skins, at least it’s progress — now, if we could just a get plumber in to look at this fridge in Fragment East that’s still playing up…

Respawn disable Bangalore skins to combat Apex Legends invisibility bug Respawn EntertainmentRespawn has made the decision to disable a handful of Bangalore’s in-game skins for the foreseeable future, after the Apex Legends character was disappearing completely while using the buyable cosmetic upgrades.
