Season 2 will bring a new Legend to King\u2019s Canyon, along with a new weapon, Battle Pass and a variety of other changes. Fans might be interested in hearing what Respawn\u2019s stance on crossplay is as well. Is Crossplay an option? In an interview with Game Informer, Respawn executive producer Drew McCoy and lead product manager Lee Horn explained what they thought about crossplay eventually coming to the game, along with how the balancing changes are made. The team feels that crossplay would certainly benefit the game, but it\u2019s a lot of work for their small team to add in right now. \u201cIf it wasn\u2019t a ginormous amount of effort and work, we\u2019d probably already be doing something there,\u201d explained McCoy. \u201cIt\u2019s just one of those things where we\u2019re still a fairly small team so we have to pick and choose our battles.\u201d Crossplay is becoming more and more popular in gaming with Fortnite and Rocket League being two of the highest profile games offering it. More balanced Legends are coming As for the new Legend, Respawn thinks she, along with some Season 2 changes, will help make the game a bit more balanced, and make some of the lesser used characters more valuable. McCoy also confirmed that who the most played Legends currently are. \u201cI think to no one\u2019s surprise Wraith and Pathfinder are our super-played characters,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd then Gibraltar and Caustic on the other side. As people have seen throughout the season, we\u2019ve tried to sort of nudge those closer together. For Season 2 we will have another set of balance changes that will\u2026.we always strive to make our characters pretty even choices. So it\u2019s sort of pick who you want to play who fits your style.\u201d Gibraltar and Caustic in their current states don\u2019t offer a whole lot to a team, but Respawn is hoping to fix that.
