Apex Legends was released by EA on Monday, February 4, and xQc has been dabbling in the new battle royale game since its launch. One of Apex\u2019s characters, Gibraltar (besides having the same name as an Overwatch map), has the ability to put down a shield for his team that looks very similar to Winston\u2019s barrier. It didn\u2019t take long for xQc to use this familiar mechanic to his advantage, either. As his team engaged an enemy squad, xQc deployed his shield and maneuvered in a way that\u2019s instantly recognizable to anyone who\u2019s played Winston \u2013 or to anyone who\u2019s gone up against someone with some idea of what they\u2019re doing with the character. Sure enough, xQc\u2019s superior tactical skills allowed him to dispatch his opponent fairly easily. Apex has stayed on top of the most viewed games on Twitch since it was released, so there\u2019s a good chance xQc will continue to play it in his usual rotation.
