Their reward: a single but very useful item. Baldur’s Gate 3 players are a tenacious bunch. You’d have to be to put 600 hours into it. They’ve latched onto the game with such zeal that it has outstripped Elden Ring’s retention rate. Throughout those hundreds of hours of playtime, one thing in particular spurns players on. It’s the hope of finding fabulous magical items that enhance your Baldur’s Gate 3 experience. Players probably gave up on finding anything of note in Baldur’s Gate 3’s vases. Not Reddit user u/Pekodes though. They’ve been eagerly smashing vases and finally turned up something worthwhile. Baldur’s Gate 3 has undone years of “smash everything” programming in players but sweet relief has been granted to u/Pekodes. “Empty vases for days, then suddenly Larian hides a Key in one,” their caption reads. We honestly thought that there was nothing but dust and the occasional piece of rotten food in them. So did many other players marveling at this recent discovery. The sheer lack of anything worthwhile after countless smashed vases seems almost intentional on Larian’s part and prompted one user to call them “sick f**ks.” Jokingly of course. The mystery of the key gripped other players who begged u/Pekodes for the answer hoping for tips on how to find some enchanted gear. Hopes were dashed when it was revealed the key unlocked a chest right below the vase with some basic items and currency inside. It seems an unfitting end for what seems to be the only useful item ever housed in a Baldur’s Gate 3 vase. Particularly given how their emptiness has maddened some of the community. We’ve got heaps of guides for Baldur’s Gate 3 and some of them even tell you where to find other handy items. We’ll give you a hint: they’re not in vases.
