Typically, on the first Baldur’s Gate 3 playthrough, players are likely to create their own character and explore the game as Tav. However, after that, many fans look to try out a new way of playing and exploring the story, through the eyes of the companions. Naturally, choosing an Origin Character can be pretty tricky, with so many different options, classes, and experiences to pick from. Thankfully, most are so different they can’t be compared. Despite this, one Origin Character has been crowned as the best companion to play as among the community. Baldur’s Gate 3 players convinced one Origin Character is better than others Sharing their “hot take” on Reddit, one user revealed why “Wyll is the best companion to play as.” They went on to explain how playing him allows you to explore other companions without worrying about forgetting Wyll’s storyline, and that the Warlock is one of the most popular classes in the game, but usually Tavs don’t interact with their patron much, which is where Wylls relationship with Mizora comes in. It actually doesn’t feel right going with anyone else” added one user, revealing just how impactful the Karlach and Wyll pairing feels throughout the story.
