The Game of the Year winner continues to impress its fan base with the level of detail added to the game. Based on the principles of Dungeons and Dragons, Baldur’s Gate allows players to fully customize their character and prave their own destiny throughout the game. Along the way, players come across various companions who give new perspectives and playstyles. One of which is Gale, who is one of the more dramatic members of the group. However, the wizard can prove useful in many situations, including his ability to cast a spell on himself that allows him to be brought back to life. Upon dying during battle, whoever is closest to Gale will get an explanation on how they can revive him. Usually, this will be another human member of the team, but players can opt to adopt Scratch, a dog found in the first Act of the game, and use him in combat. When dying next to Scratch, Gale gives him the rundown instead, resulting in a hilarious cutscene. Scratch takes on revival role for Gale On the official Baldur’s Gate subreddit, a player posted a clip of an interaction that they captured between Scratch and Gale. This came after Gale fell in battle with Scratch being the closest to him. The cutscene begins with Gale explaining the rules of his revival before the game cuts to Scratch who looks like he is doing his best to understand what Gale is talking about. “Scratch has no idea what Gale is saying but he is happy to be involved,” said one commenter. Others enjoyed the hilarity behind Gale trying to explain something to a dog. Which one user pointed out would not work unless Gale cast a spell that would allow him to speak to animals. “And gosh darn it he’ll do it too,” said another. “Because he’s the goodest of boys.” Fans questioned whether the interaction was potentially a bug, but they were clear in their desire to have it be a permanent feature in the game. Despite the game having been out since August, players continue to find new aspects of the game that make it that much more enjoyable.

Scratch gets a revival lesson from Gale in Baldur’s Gate 3 Reddit: Ganning14Gale imparts a lesson on how to revive him to Scratch after they both fall in battle together in Baldur’s Gate 3.
