Larian StudiosBaldur’s Gate 3 presents players with numerous decisions, including the dilemma of releasing the imprisoned pixie from the Moon Lantern in the Shadowlands. Here’s our advice on what action to take. Act 2 of Baldur’s Gate 3 takes players on a journey through the hazardous Shadowlands. Venturing into darkness within these lands directly harms your party, but locating a pixie powering a Moon Lantern offers a shield against the Shadow Curse. While there, you’ll come across Dolly Dolly Dolly, a pixie who’ll ask you to free her from the Lantern she’s trapped in – but if you do, you’ll be sacrificing a light source and some protection – so is it worth even doing? Should you free Dolly Dolly Dolly from the Moon Lantern? It is best to free Dolly Dolly Dolly the pixie from the Moon Lantern in Baldur’s Gate 3 as doing so will make her grateful and she will bless your party with the Filigreed Feywild Bell. This blessing acts like a Moon Lantern, allowing you to walk around the Shadowlands without taking damage from the curse. The bell can even be used to summon Dolly Dolly Dolly and get the blessing back if you happen to lose it. The pixie’s blessing actually works better than the Moon Lantern in two crucial ways: No one will have to hold the Moon Lantern, which frees up an equipment slot. – The Moon Lantern requires the entire party to stay close. Those who stray too far won’t be protected, which makes exploration and combat more difficult. The blessing does not carry this restriction. – If freed, Dolly Dolly Dolly will appear in Act 3, where she can help out with a quest. The only downside to freeing the pixie is that the Moon Lantern is better for spotting teleporting wraiths and shadows. Still, the benefits of letting Dolly Dolly Dolly out far outweigh the drawbacks. Now you’re up to speed with why you should free Dolly Dolly Dolly in Baldur’s Gate 3, check out our class tier list if you’re planning to start a new playthrough, and the fastest ways to earn XP if you’re trying to level up quicker.

Should you release the pixie from the lantern in Baldur’s Gate 3?
