100 Thieves\u2019 Octane Reveals More About Leaving OpTic Gaming \u2013 \u201cI don\u2019t even know why I got dropped\u201d The newest member of 100 Thieves, Sam \u201cOctane\u201d Larew has discussed his time on OpTic Gaming, which was short lived, and why it came to an end, as he made the move to 100T. It was a surprise to some fans when 100 Thieves announced Octane as the third addition to their team, but Octane\u2019s time on OpTic wasn\u2019t cut short voluntarily, he was in fact dropped from the roster, he revealed shortly after the change. This news was even more surprising, as it was thought 100 Thieves had approached OpTic about buying Octane, but according to the player himself, the offer from 100T came after he had already been dropped. During a recent live stream, Octane went into more details surrounding the roster move. \u201cObviously, me getting dropped wasn\u2019t the ideal situation, we sucked, we got last at champs, last at playoffs, like obviously a change needed to happen. So, I\u2019m in arguably a better position now than I was on OpTic. And as for why I got dropped? Guys, I don\u2019t even know why I got dropped.\u201d He also went on to explain that he in fact approached 100 Thieves founder Matthew \u201cNadeshot\u201d Haag, about his joining his team, rather than the other way around. \u201cGuys, I approached [Nadeshot]. Like there was no buyout \u2013 Matt didn\u2019t say that he wanted me and then OpTic gave me away. I got dropped, without another option, and then I approached Matt. There was no buyout of my contract. I was dropped, and I went and pursued other options. That\u2019s what happened.\u201d Finally, although OpTic\u2019s new roster has not been announced, Octane did give his view on the speculative additions of Brandon \u201cDashy\u201d Otell and Thomas \u201cTJHaLy\u201d Haly. This isn\u2019t to say that this will be OpTic\u2019s roster, although it has been heavily rumored to be, Octane is only giving his opinion should it happen \u2013 and he isn\u2019t exactly optimistic for OG.
