6 players to watch during CDL Dallas Activision \/ DexertoActivision\u2019s Call of Duty League is back in action as of April 10, where Dallas Empire will be looking to defend their title during their home series event. Let\u2019s take a look at the players who will be trying to do some damage this weekend. The CDL is resuming its inaugural season on April 10 as Dallas hosts the first online tournament in the league\u2019s history, with pros looking eager to get back into the thick of the action. After edging out Minnesota R\u00d8KKR in an epic Grand Final, Dallas took their first CDL title in the City of Angels and will be looking to go back-to-back in their home series event. So with a lot on the line, who are the players with something to prove at CDL Dallas? Here are the six players who could make an impact this weekend. Adam \u2018GodRx\u2019 Brown (Minnesota R\u00d8KKR) As the highest fragging player in the league with 941 kills, GodRx is having the best season of his career. Whether it be an AR, SMG or Sniper, Minnesota\u2019s Flex player is a Jack of all trades. His season K\/D currently stands at 1.29 \u2014 a stat most players would be proud of in public lobbies! Alongside the highest positive kill swing in the league at 209, he\u2019s putting in the objective work, too. At CDL Los Angeles, GodRx clocked in the highest average hill time (74 seconds) in Hardpoint alongside racking up the most kills with 393 kills in a single event. R\u00d8KKR eliminated Atlanta FaZe and prevented them from making two consecutive Grand Final appearances. Despite not taking home the title from LA, the 21-year-old was undoubtedly the star of the show and arguably the MVP of the whole event. Although with that said, the pressure will be on GodRx\u2019 shoulders to perform right from the get-go, as R\u00d8KKR face-off against the Chicago Huntsmen in their opening match. Anthony \u2018Shotzzy\u2019 Cuevas-Castro (Dallas Empire) Together with Indervir \u2018iLLeY\u2019 Dhaliwal, Shotzzy is one half of Dallas\u2019 dynamic duo. A former Halo world champion, Shotzzy gained his first offline Call of Duty tournament win at CDL Los Angeles. Having had a rocky start to the season under the Empire banner, Shotzzy has done a complete 180 on his form and appears to be back to his old ways \u2014 proving to be key in Dallas\u2019 first CDL win. Despite running an SMG, Empire\u2019s youngster posted the highest number of kills (360) on his squad, as both he and Cuyler \u2018Huke\u2019 Garland proved themselves to be an unstoppable slaying force around the hill in Hardpoint. Given that Shotzzy was initially bound to online tournaments at the start of his CoD career, he will be back in a more familiar setting with the CDL moving away from its offline schedule. Can the 18-year-old continue to go from strength-to-strength and uphold the reputation he gained before the start of the season? Chance \u2018Maux\u2019 Moncivaez (Florida Mutineers) Maux\u2019s breakout year came during Black Ops 4, where together with Colt \u2018Havok\u2019 McLendon he clocked in a series of impressive placements under the Gen.G banner. While Mutineers\u2019 Flex doesn\u2019t necessarily post the biggest numbers in the lobby, his selfless objective work is one of the main reasons why the likes of Cesar \u2018Skyz\u2019 Bueno can post the crazy numbers that he has. At CDL Los Angeles, Maux was consistently diving into the hill while his squad slayed around it. Despite suffering an early exit after running into FaZe and Empire, Maux was Florida\u2019s silver lining from the event. With Empire, Ultra and the Guerrillas joining Maux and co. in a stacked group, the 21-year-old will have to turn up big if he plans on avoiding the same outcome as their last tournament. Alec \u2018Arcitys\u2019 Sanderson (Chicago Huntsmen) Arcitys is a reigning world champion and one of the most well-rounded players in the league. Playing as the Huntsmen\u2019s Flex, Arcitys is most at home with an AR but can also get up close and personal with an SMG if needed. He\u2019s without a doubt Huntsmen\u2019s most consistent performer of the season so far \u2013 specifically, Domination has been Arcitys\u2019 stomping ground so far this season, as he has single-handedly locked down key chokepoints for the likes of Dylan \u2018Envoy\u2019 Hannon and Seth \u2018Scump\u2019 Abner to be relentlessly aggressive. After sitting out the last tournament, Arcitys and co. will be keen to make an impact in their group. Although R\u00d8KKR will most definitely have something to say about that in their opening match-up! Bryan \u2018Apathy\u2019 Zhelyazkov (Seattle Surge) Being a two-time world champion, Apathy knows a thing or two about staying on top of the competition. However, while the Surge are a hot pick on paper, their form hasn\u2019t fared so well during offline events so far. Having crashed out of both CDL London and Los Angeles in the group stages, Surge were forced into bringing in an extra pair of hands in Casey \u2018Pandur\u2019 Romano \u2014 whose impact on the Open Circuit of Black Ops 4 didn\u2019t go unnoticed. Pandur will be turning to the likes of Apathy and Damon \u2018Karma\u2019 Barlow to lead Seattle out of their rough start, and into a place that more accurately reflects the squad\u2019s talent on the sticks. Despite Seattle falling to everyone but the Los Angeles Guerrillas this season, Apathy has been Surge\u2019s rock throughout their opening events \u2014 proving that he can still hang with the very best. Search & Destroy is where the 25-year-old shines, as he picks teams apart at the seams. Will he be able to turn the tide in Surge\u2019s favor online? Anthony \u2018Methodz\u2019 Zinni (Toronto Ultra) Despite only being 22 years of age, Methodz is something of a veteran in pro Call of Duty. Ushered into the scene by Scump and Matthew \u2018Nadeshot\u2019 Haag during Modern Warfare 3, he broke into the competitive landscape as a prodigy who was nasty with an AR in-hand. While Ultra continues to look for the perfect starting lineup from their 10-man roster, Methodz has remained a solid figure within the outfit. Ultra\u2019s Main AR was the thorn in Chicago Huntsmen\u2019s side when Toronto narrowly missed out on taking out the CDL London champs. Methodz has had a relatively comfortable start to the season, but has really come into his own on Domination. With an average of five flag captures per game and a 1.23 K\/D ratio, he is Ultra\u2019s most influential performer in that all-important third map. Will Methodz lead the charge as Ultra looks to post more points on the board this weekend? He will face tough opposition in his opening match of the weekend, as CDL Atlanta Grand Finalists, Florida Mutineers look primed to pounce. With Huntsmen, Legion and Ultra all missing out on the action in Los Angeles, they\u2019ll all be eager to get back into the swing of things and post some more CDL Points on the board.
