The Pro League Qualifier began on January 16 from the MLG Arena in Columbus, featuring the 28 teams who finished from positions 5th to 32nd at CWL Las Vegas descending on Ohio to stake their claim to a spot in the league. A number of top teams who underperformed at the opening event of the year, including 100 Thieves and FaZe Clan, were in action as a number of shocks saw some surprising names claim a spot in the Pro League. This left some of World War II’s biggest names outside of the qualification spots, with one of the most significant names to not qualify being FaZe Clan. In fact, out of all the players that failed to qualify for the Pro League, nobody made more than the core FaZe members who represented the organization last season. In a post to the CoDCompetitive subreddit, Call of Duty fan mstrite61 calculated all of the players who earnt money in World War II but failed to qualify for the Black Ops 4 Pro League, with players who missed out earning a combined $830,000 in prize money from the last title. The four FaZe stars earned a cool $94,500 in World War II. They were closely followed by Martin ‘Chino’ Chino and Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni who earnt $71,000 and $54,375, respectively. Of course, for players who missed out on qualifying for the Pro League, there is still a chance that they will compete in the league, as teams will now begin to search for substitutes who can fill in for their squad when needed.
