OpTic\u2019s Crimsix confirms \u2018Daemon 3XB\u2019 weapon is named after Karma OpTic Gaming Call of Duty player Ian \u2018Crimsix\u2019 Porter has seemingly confirmed a rumor regarding the name of one of Black Ops 4\u2019s newest submachine guns, the Daemon 3XB. Ever since the gun was introduced to Black Ops 4 on December 11, Call of Duty esports fans have wondered whether the weapon was a nod to Crimsix\u2019s OpTic Gaming teammate, Damon \u2018Karma\u2019 Barlow. The name of the weapon is strikingly similar to Karma\u2019s forename Damon, while some believed that \u20183XB\u2019 portion of the name referred to Barlow\u2019s three Call of Duty Championship victories. While neither Activision or Treyarch have never confirmed the meaning behind the weapon\u2019s name, Crimsix has revealed that the weapon is in fact named after Barlow. While streaming on Tuesday, January 1, Crimsix was asked about the submachine gun by one of his viewers, and stated: \u201cYeah, the Daemon 3XB is named after him.\u201d Porter went on to reveal that it was Treyarch Studio Design Director David Vonderhaar who informed of this, saying: \u201c100% named after him. I actually got confirmation from Vonderhaar, it was totally named after him.\u201d Naming the submachine gun after Barlow was likely a homage to the OpTic Gaming star\u2019s incredibly successful career in esports, which has made him the highest earning console esports player in the world.
