Alexander Conserva, who has worked on the Call of Duty franchise since 2003, responded to a tweet from former CoD professional player Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag. In a video posted by the popular streamer, Nadeshot challenges a player on the ground below him, hitting plenty of shots on his opponent, but seemingly only doing damage to his enemies armor. Nadeshot stated that armor issues like that were “one of the only issues” he had with Blackout in its current state. Armor is one of my only current frustrations with Blackout right now, I should never lose this gunfight. pic.twitter.com/r1XDBFZYmL — 100T Nadeshot (@Nadeshot) September 16, 2018 In response to the 100 Thieves CEO, Conserva confirmed that Treyarch would be addressing the issue, stating; “We are going to be making changes to the armor system before the game ships.” This isn’t the first time that Nadeshot has spoken out against the current armor system. Last week, Haag said “The armor is nuts! They’ve gotta nerf armor”, while OpTic Gaming streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop provided his own insight and opinion on how he thinks armor should work in Blackout. Treyarch have attempted to make changes to armor by adjusting the item drop rarity of Level Three armor, the item that fans have complained most about. The beta has provided the Treyarch with team valuable feedback like this, and allowed for heavy stress testing before the release in October. Treyarch have already announced some of the changes they plan to make to the game’s HUD regarding armor before the official release. They have listened to fans who asked for an easier way to see the health of their armor on screen by confirming that a health bar for the item will appear above the players own health when the game launches. Blackout will launch alongside the full release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on October 12, and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Battle.net.

Blackout’s armor system to undergo changes before Black Ops 4 releases An Engineer at Treyarch has confirmed that they will be making changes to the armor system in Call of Duty’s Blackout mode before Black Ops 4 releases.
