Clayster received some criticism after trash talking OpTic Gaming throughout their Pro League match on July 12, a match that Clayster and eUnited would end up losing. Some of his comments were loud enough to be picked up by the stream, like when he got hyped after Prestinni\u2019s ninja defuse. In response to his critics, Clay took to Twitter to explain the reasons for his talking. I mean you guys want SC2 or Hearthstone robots after a game? However, some feel that trash talk and player rivalries are what makes Call of Duty an exciting esport, but that behavior may be slowing down. Clayster\u2019s antics are an attempt to keep rivalries alive. A number of fellow pros agree and responded to the series of tweets, expressing support for animated post match behavior. Even members of OpTic, most often on the receiving end of Clay\u2019s yells, do not mind. Most of them are friends outside of the game, so none of the trash talk is taken too seriously. People don\u2019t see us being friends outside the game, so they take it as massive disrespect.
