Denial CEO responds to criticism for baiting fans about new Black Ops 4 roster Denial Esports CEO Zach Smith has responded to backlash from Call of Duty fans who believe that the organization is baiting fans by not announcing their new lineup. Denial have been hinting that they are making a return to the popular first-person-shooter in which the organization has a rich history, winning the 2015 Call of Duty World Championships. After disappearing for most of 2018, Denial made its comeback to esports in December, with the new owners paying off debts that had been owed to players across a variety of esports titles. While the Denial Twitter account dropped an over-the-top hint that they would be signing Michael \u2018SpaceLy\u2019 Schmale\u2019s squad for the CWL Pro League Qualifiers, the organization have yet to officially announce their roster, and it seems some fans are getting tired of waiting. In response to Denial announcing their new Gears of War roster, a fan posted that they were disappointed that it wasn\u2019t the Call of Duty roster, to which Smith replied: \u201cYou\u2019re obsessed.\u201d The twitter user named MattTyphoon stressed that he was \u201chappy for all the players\u201d joining Denial, but that the organization had been baiting fans for week, with Smith telling him that he\u2019ll \u201cwait more as well,\u201d seemingly confirming that the announcement won\u2019t be made in the near future. While Denial may have hoped that teasing the announcement would build hype for the new squad, it appears it might have backfired with CoD fans on Reddit stating that they were \u201cover it\u201d and had lost interest. SpaceLy\u2019s squad are set to take part in the CWL Pro League Qualifier, which kicks off on Wednesday, January 16 as 28 teams battle for their spot in the CWL Pro League.
