H3CZ confirms OpTic buyout rumors on Nadeshot\u2019s new podcast Nadeshot – YouTubeOpTic Gaming\u2018s Hector \u2018H3CZ\u2018 Rodriguez opened up about his organization\u2019s potential sale on the first ever episode of 100 Thieves CEO Matt \u2018Nadeshot\u2018 Haag\u2019s brand new \u2018Self Made\u2019 podcast. It has not been easy past few weeks and months for OpTic Gaming, whose parent company Infinite Esports & Entertainment are currently up for sale. The Immortals esports organization are thought to be the current front-runner to acquire Infinite, and there\u2019s heavy speculation that they would ultimately choose to disband and dissolve the OpTic brand should their bid get accepted. Amid all of the rumors, speculation, and leaks, H3CZ appeared on Nadeshot\u2019s new \u2018Self Made\u2019 podcast on June 5 to address everything that\u2019s been going with the Green Wall. H3CZ confirms OpTic bid In the podcast, H3CZ confirmed that he had put in a bid to buy back OpTic, something that had been reported previously but had never actually been revealed by the CEO himself. \u201cSix or seven months ago, I approached the ownership group,\u201d he said. \u201cI said \u2018let me get OpTic back.\u2019 I wasn\u2019t asking for a discount, I was trying to make them some money. \u2018We gave it a good run, it\u2019s not working.’\u201d Read More: Ex-CLG CEO explain why OpTic will be sold to Immortals over H3CZ regardless of offer size – Without explicit stating it, he also strongly suggested that Infinite were favoring Immortals\u2019 bid over his, despite the fact that his offer had been better. \u201cAs of this moment, it\u2019s public obviously, that Immortals is making a bid for it,\u201d he explained. \u201cIt wasn\u2019t as good as the bid that I submitted, but for whatever reason\u2026\u201d Why things didn\u2019t work out with Infinite H3CZ explained that working with Infinite led him to the realization that what was going was simply \u201cnot sustainable,\u201d and that the vision of the parent company was not aligning with that of OpTic. \u201cFor me, it was more about the culture and the culture that they were creating within that space,\u201d he explained. \u201cIt was not going to fit what we have build for seven years. And you can\u2019t change culture. It takes years to remold the way of thinking of something.\u201d What happens if Immortals buy Infinite? One of the more prevalent rumors going on about the OpTic buyout situation is that Immortals will choose to dissolve the brand if they do end up purchasing Infinite.
