Warzone has experienced massive success since its launch on March 10, with millions of players and many of the top streamers jumping into Verdansk. Following the success of his events in other titles, such as Friday Fortnite and Minecraft Monday, KEEMSTAR has put together another tournament series for many of the top Warzone creators, offering up $20,000 as the weekly prize. The fifth week of the tournament just rolled around, and here\u2019s everything you need to know about the latest Warzone Wednesday. $20K Warzone Wednesdays Week 5 recap Week 5 of Warzone Wednesday featured all the big names you\u2019d come to expect from KEEMSTAR\u2019s event. From the duo of Ninja and Dr Disrespect to NICKMERCS and Swagg, 16 star-studded teams dropped into battle on April 22 until there was only four players left. Many big names were forced out of the competition early as the likes of H3CZ and Castro1021 dipped into the lower bracket after falling short in the very first round. Conversely, Dallas Empire\u2019s Tommey and Warzone content creator Bobby Poff fought all the way through the winner\u2019s side of the bracket until the finals. In the grand final matchup that saw Tommey and Bobby Poff square up against NoahJ456 and Merk, the former came away with an early lead and snowballed from there. After a long day of Warzone, Tommey\u2019s team took out the win in impressive fashion. \u201cThis is my first major tournament win,\u201d Bobby Poff said immediately after finishing their final game. Warzone Wednesdays Week 2 Placements (Top 10) When did Warzone Wednesdays, Week 5 start? Warzone Wednesdays Week 5 was scheduled to start at 1PM (PT) \/ 4PM (ET) \/ 9 PM (BST) and went on for several hours until the final winners were crowned. The event was broadcasted live on KEEMSTAR\u2019s Twitch channel and each of the creators involved also streamed their point-of-view on their individual channels as well. Prize pool and format The competition featured 16 teams in total, with each team consisting of a duo. These duos faced off against each other in double-elimination bracket play. As with KEEMSTAR\u2019s previous events, the prize of $20,000 all went straight to the winners of the tournament which often makes for a high-stakes and entertaining Grand Final.
