Fake MW4 teaser fools some fans It is coming to that time of the Call of Duty cycle, as fans begin to expect a teaser trailer to be dropped for the next installment of the the franchise. With heavy speculation that Modern Warfare 4 will be next entry, some fans were quick to believe when a teaser clip, revealing a livestream \u2018reveal\u2019 date, and the Infinity Ward logo in the classic green font made famous in the Modern Warfare games. The 20 second long teaser circulating on social media featured the voice of a soldier who was communicating over a static radio while a date, April 23, was displayed on screen along with the Infinity Ward Twitch channel link. The date hinted towards a potential reveal happening on April 23, and many fans on social media took this to be an official leaked trailer, sharing it with others on platforms such as Reddit and Twitter. Clip YT IW\u2019s Art Director responds to \u2018leak\u2019 There were some critics however, such as YouTuber \u2018Gunner 2x\u2019 who debunked the video on his channel, explaining why although this was one of the more accurate trailers he had seen as they had used what he believed to be an unreleased Infinity Ward logo, there was certain flaws leading him to believe the teaser was fake. Infinity Ward\u2019s Studio Art Director, Joel Emslie, responded to Gunner 2x on Twitter, clarifying that the logo seen in the teaser was not the \u2018new\u2019 Infinity Ward logo, rather was only used for shirts at E3 2018, further confirming that the teaser was not an official Infinity Ward trailer. Despite the clarifying that the trailer was inaccurate, Joel did not give any hints away to whether Modern Warfare 4 would be the next Call of Duty release or when an official trailer might be released to the fans.
