Battle for the Crown returned eight months after inaugural event. &#8211; Prize pool raised to $50,000. &#8211; Three weeks of action with three unique rulesets. &#8211; Eight months after the first event of its kind, JoeWo\u2019s Battle for the Crown returned for another run in 2022. This time around though, things were a little different. Spread across three weeks in May, Warzone\u2019s top talent dropped into three distinct tournaments, each boasting a unique format. Here\u2019s a full breakdown of all there is to know now that the competition is all wrapped up. JoeWo\u2019s $50K Battle for the Crown: Streams &#038; Schedule As you would expect from an event hosted by JoeWo, the NRG streamer hosted the tournament directly on his Twitch channel. While he was also competing himself at times, keeping an eye on JoeWo\u2019s broadcast was the best way to keep on top of results throughout each day of the tournament. It all kicked off on Tuesday, May 10, with tournament dates then following with each passing week. May 17 marked the midway point while May 24 served as the final day for teams to prove themselves. As the sequel wa split across three days, each leg of the tournament came with its own unique ruleset. Read More: Ultimate Warzone event calendar &#8211; Below is a breakdown of each weekly format: Week 1: Ground Loot only &#8211; Week 2: Opposite inputs (EG, controller players must use mouse and keyboard) &#8211; Week 3: Standard kill-race finale &#8211; While the first week was certainly interesting, it was week two where things really get dicey. Warzone\u2019s top stars have all made a name for themselves while using their preferred equipment. Here, they had to mix things up and test their skills with unfamiliar equipment. JoeWo\u2019s $50K Battle for the Crown: Players &#038; Teams Players and teams for each week of the event weren\u2019t announced ahead of time. But as you would expect from a tournament of this size, all of Warzone\u2019s biggest names got involved week after week. 32 streamers in total joined in on the weekly competition, with the likes of Swagg, Tommey, Aydan, and plenty more all fighting for the top spot.
