Karma Doesn\u2019t Think OpTic Gaming\u2019s Call of Duty Team Can Win CoD Champs This Year Damon \u2018Karma\u2019 Barlow is less than confident about OpTic Gaming\u2019s chances of defending their Call of Duty World Championship title. Karma, the only player to have won three World Championships, does not seem to believe that Ian \u2018Crimsix\u2019 Porter will join him on that list following the 2018 installment of the event. The Canadian star, who was dropped by OpTic Gaming in May of 2018 and is currently not inactive, was asked whether his former team would win the title again this year during a recent Twitch stream. Unfortunately for OpTic\u2019s massive fanbase, Karma\u2019s answer was simply \u201cI hate to say it but, honestly, I don\u2019t think OpTic will win\u201d. Karma and OpTic Gaming enjoyed a great deal of success during their three year stint together, winning multiple events and finally securing a World Championship in 2017 as part of the Infinite Warfare season. However, the team struggled to adapt to Call of Duty: WWII and eventually brought Sam \u2018Octane\u2019 Larew and Anthony \u2018Methodz\u2019 Zinni in to replace Karma and Matthew \u2018FormaL\u2019 Piper. Initial results in the CWL Pro League were impressive but the new roster still failed to make it past 5th \u2013 6th at CWL Anaheim, leading some to believe that a title before the end of the season is unlikely. Unfortunately for Karma fans, it looks like the Canadian will be sitting out the remainder of the season and re-evaluating his situation upon the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 in October. OpTic Gaming has two more opportunities to grab a major title in 2018; the CWL Pro League Stage 2 Finals in July and the Call of Duty World Championship in August.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
