One of the more oft-discussed aspects of the game is the mini-map, and how it functions – an issue which actually stems all the way back to when the Beta was released in mid-September. At first, the game didn’t even have a mini-map, although Infinity Ward ended up caving in quickly and adding it back in during the first Beta weekend. However, they did not turn on red dots being shown where enemies were firing, unless there was a UAV in the air, and it has stayed that way through the release of the full version of the game. However, according to new information put out on Twitter by TheGamingRevoYT, the mini-map will be reverted to how it’s always been in the core modes of Call of Duty multiplayer, in that enemy fire is always shown in the form of red dots unless the player shooting is using a suppressor attachment. The exact date for when this change may be implemented is not yet known, although the leaker claims it’ll happen “by the end of November.” In fact, according to the leaker, this mini-map change would actually comes as part of a “big overhaul” that’s set to take place in Modern Warfare, although he stopped short of revealing when that would be and what other changes it would entail. While we may not know what will make up this overhaul, it’s not too hard to come up with a list of possibilities by taking into account what players have been complaining most about and using the process of elimination. For example, one of the biggest targets of complaints have been the maps, and it would be virtually impossible to overhaul those after they’ve already been released, at least to the point where they’d become acceptable to players. However, something like weapon balancing would be a very realistic option, especially since there’s a small group of weapons that are considerably more overpowered than the rest, such as the M4A1 assault rifle and 725 shotgun. The developers can also make tweaks to the attachments for some of the weapons, such as increasing or decreasing their viability while changing up some of the functions. In short, there are a lot of ways that Infinity Ward can “overhaul” Modern Warfare, and the best way to know what those changes will be is to wait until they’re officially announced and implemented. On that note, it’s also important to remember that all of this information comes courtesy of leaks put out online, so nothing can be confirmed or verified until Activision and Infinity Ward themselves start making announcements. That said, this leaker in particular has been right about a lot of what he’s put out there, some of which as come well in advance of the game’s release, so there is at least some reason to be hopeful if you are someone who is not enjoying the current state of the game.

Leaker claims big mini-map changes & Modern Warfare overhaul coming soon Prominent Call of Duty leaker ‘TheGamingRevoYT’ has divulged more information about what’s coming soon in Modern Warfare, including changes to the mini-map and a major “overhaul.” Based on the community’s early feedback since the release of Modern Warfare on October 25, the game is […]

[1

post-28386","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
