Over the years, there have been plenty of calls from Call of Duty fans for the game to do massive throwback map packs. There is a laundry list of iconic maps that would suit a rework or modern update for the newer releases. So, when Modern Warfare 3 was announced, those calls were finally answered somewhat. Instead of launching with a host of new maps, MW3 was, instead, full of maps from the original Modern Warfare 2 from 2009. That initially went down a storm with players as they were able to play maps like Rust, Skidrow, Terminal, Highrise, and Quarry in another new game. However, things have turned a little over the last few weeks – and they’ve gotten to a point where some players are completely bored with one of CoD’s most iconic settings. MW3 players believe Terminal is more “campy” than ever Some players have taken issue with Terminal not feeling like it used to back in the day, describing it as too “campy” now in Modern Warfare 3. “Were people this campy on Terminal 15 years ago? I just cannot play aggressive on this map without dying to a sniper in baggage claim or to a prone guy with a light machine gun sitting between suitcases,” vented one annoyed player. “This Map plays nothing like the OG MW2 and MW3. If I see it being voted for I jump out, I hate it, used to love it back in the day,” one agreed. “Imo it’s not a great map to play these days. It looks like there are only 2 ways to pass through the center even though there’s stairs in the middle going into the small building,” added another. “Spawns I don’t think were nearly as sticky in the original map as they are in this game. That coupled with higher TTK and aim assist on snipers calls for a campy game,” said another. Some players argued that the powerful but slower snipers are the bigger issue because you can’t exactly use them like the Intervention from MW2 which encouraged constant movement. Snipers will likely undergo some changes when weapon balancing comes around, but you can’t really force players to change their playstyles. Nor will Terminal be removed like some have asked. Plus, there are plenty of players who want more camping anyway.

Modern Warfare 3 players slam iconic CoD map as too “campy” now ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players have hit out at one of Call of Duty’s most iconic maps by claiming it’s too “campy” these days and doesn’t feel like it used to.
