Set in the slums of Rio de Janeiro, Favela is one of the most well-known multiplayer maps from Modern Warfare 2 and the Call of Duty franchise, as a whole. It\u2019s named after the shantytowns scattered throughout Brazil, neighborhoods composed of cheaply built wooden and mud shacks where over 6% of the population live. Needless to say, life in these favelas is far from ideal; living conditions in the makeshift homes are largely unfavorable, with almost no public services provided and no attention given by the government. Charities exist to help improve life at favelas, such as The Favela Foundation.
