Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 unleashed seven Aftermarket Parts on the game, one being the Jak Maglift Kit for Haymakers. This particular part allows players to equip the shotgun with an oversized drum magazine, which many quickly put to good use. And since the Aftermarket Part also increases the weapon’s rate of fire, it didn’t take long for the community to label it an overpowered addition. As such, players were surprised when the latest MW3 patch buffed the Jak Maglift Kit. The consensus is that the part is now broken beyond belief. MW3 players shocked by “broken” Haymaker Aftermarket Part MW3’s February 21 update introduced a buff that “Increased rate of fire from 357rpm to 500rpm (+40%)” for Haymaker’s already OP Jak Maglift Kit. Players and content creators like Wacke spotted the difference shortly after the patch went live. One user on Reddit shared a before-and-after video highlighting how much faster the buff makes the gun’s rate of fire. It’s a comical change of pace, as seen in the clip linked below: Other MW3 players responding to the post shared their own experiences with the new Haymaker changes. In fact, one Redditor claimed the overhauled Jak Maglift Kit helped them break their previous kill record. “It is so insanely broken. I broke my kill record first game using it,” the player explained. Someone else argued that this may “kill” the fun of Modern Warfare 3’s close-quarters combat maps. However, other fans in the comments couldn’t seem happier about the Aftermarket Part buff.
