Among the sea of critiques MW3 has faced, the spawn system has remained a never-ending constant for players. The normal-sized maps faced their fair share of troubles during the game’s early days, with ridiculous clips on Quarry showing how broken the system was. However, this issue reached new heights when more players started playing the smaller map playlists, with revenge spawning a popular conspiracy theory. With Das Haus now in MW3, the discussion of revenge spawns is ramping up as players find themselves sick of the returning map. MW3 players blast Das Haus’ return Small maps have been an issue in MW3, with players voicing numerous changes based on their small map experiences. It’s left a division amongst the community, although Sledgehammer Games has handled critiques pretty well, such as changing the gun cocking animation in small maps. However, spawns in small maps are a constant irk. Das Haus’ return has further exacerbated that issue, as one player shared the map simply “sucks.” “The layout is fine,” they started before they explained: “The spawns make it unplayable. Why move at all? Spawn, sit there, and enemies will pop into existence in front of you.” The thread was filled with players sharing similar experiences: “I spawned in with three enemy players at the same time. Yeah I just instantly die,” one player said. Of course, the thread opened the doorway for revenge spawns to become a hot talking point. For the unaware, revenge spawns are the “unexplained” phenomena of killing an enemy, and they spawn in a favorable position to return the favor. “The revenge spawn system is wild too, I can kill a guy, and he’s spawned and hunted me down before I can get a reload in,” one commenter said further “proving” that the theory is real. That is, at least it convinced the OP. “It’s the revenge spawns that mess all up. Vanguard did NOT have revenge spawns like this. This makes the spawn points flip flopping around like mad since one player spawns at the enemy side and the team spawns will follow.” Plenty of other threads share similar themes. As Das Haus just joined the map pool, it’ll likely be some time before any changes are implemented.

MW3 players claim Das Haus “revenge spawns” are worse than Vanguard’s ActivisionDas Haus arrived as part of MW3’s Season 2 Reloaded, yet the spawns have fans believing “revenge spawns” are real.
