Over the last few years, Call of Duty has dove all the way in when it comes to selling skins, cosmetics, and other items through the in-game CoD Store. It’s a far cry from the days of the devs just adding cosmetics items every few months, as new things are added on a daily basis. The focus on selling skins has annoyed plenty of players, with some urging the devs to stop focusing on skins and fixing issues in-game such as the servers and some overpowered weapons. However, the devs aren’t slowing down. Instead, they’re now adding even more skins for killstreaks and equipment, as players can start customizing things like Thermite Grenades, the Wheelson, and Deployable Cover. MW3 players split over new skins for killstreaks & equipment Some players are, naturally, annoyed by that fact, calling out the devs for adding such cosmetics. “I like the idea of having customized streaks like: “Wow look that helo!” but I don’t like the fact that you have to play a FULL BUNDLE that costs like 30€,” said one. ”I don’t want the flashy stuff, I just want a game that’s stable and consistent in performance,” another added. “Never bought a single bundle. Not starting now. Fix your game,” said another. “Only using UAV, Advanced UAV, and Swarm so couldn’t care less for streaks. For Equipment it’s nice to have but nothing I would pay for,” another commented. “I wouldn’t mind if it actually was good, not this crap,” another chimed in. Others, however, have started mocking up skins they’d like to see added. That includes Redditor Voodoo-Hendrix, who came up with their own idea for a skin for the Juggernaut. “Don’t give them any ideas,” one fan said, while others chimed in with ideas for crossovers that would work for a Juggernaut skin, including the power armor from Fallout. It’s unlikely that the devs or Activsion will listen to any fan calls to stop selling skins, but it’s an ongoing pain point for players.

MW3 players divided over skins for killstreaks and equipment ActivisionModern Warfare 3 players have been left divided now that killstreaks and equipment are getting more skins of their own, with some supportive fans mocking up designs they’d like to see.
