Ever since games like H1Z1, PUBG and Fortnite started to make waves, the battle royale genre of games has become pretty packed in recent years – with a number of developers having a crack at it. The newest addition to the BR market comes in the form of Call of Duty: Warzone, which plenty of players have enjoyed. Though, after making the switch back to Apex Legends for a few games, it appears as if Shroud is “done” with Warzone after explaining that it’s a little too “casual” compared to rival titles. The former Counter-Strike player made the claims while playing Respawn Entertainment’s game, uploading it to his YouTube channel in a stream highlights video. After missing a his shots on an enemy, he exclaimed: “wow, I forgot this game actually takes skill, this is hard – I’m in the CoD zone!” “It’s actually crazy how easy CoD is when you play a game like this,” Shroud continued after racking up a few kills. “You don’t think about it because you’re having fun playing it, its there to have fun, but then you go play a game that is somewhat challenging and you’re like woah, woah woah woah. It is fun but it’s throwing me off my game.” It didn’t seem to throw him off too much, however, as the former CS:GO professional picked up a handful of victories. Though, he did dive back into the comparison to state that he was “done” playing Warzone as much as he had been. Timestamp of 3:55 for mobile viewers Shroud “done” with CoD “Dude, I’m done playing CoD, seriously. After seeing my performance in this game, I am done. I am done. If I play CoD, it’s going to be very very minimal – like maybe an hour or something a day but I’m done, I can’t,” he added. Though, the Mixer star continued on with his thought, noting that playing too much of Warzone would affect anyone who wants to play any other sort of battle royale at a competitive level. “I’m glad I just noticed it early, f**k. No offense to CoD, it’s a fantastic game, but I now understand why Tyler (Skadoodle) doesn’t want to play. It’s too f**king casual and it’ll f**k you up man,” he added. “If you’re trying to be somewhat of a competitive player in anything else, and actually like keep up, can’t do it.” Of course, Shroud didn’t swear off Call of Duty completely, but fans hoping that he would return to something like Apex Legends or PUBG might have their wish granted. As for his comparison of the skill gap between the two, that is purely his opinion but both sides will no doubt argue that they have the superior player base regardless.

Shroud explains why Apex Legends takes more skill than Warzone Mixer: Shroud/RespawnStreaming superstar Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek has claimed that Apex Legends actually requires more skill to play than Call of Duty’s Warzone, and that he might be “done” playing the CoD battle royale.
