Trash talk goes hand-in-hand with the professional Call of Duty scene, but if you come at one of the all-time greats, you\u2019d better not miss. During a March 3 stream of Modern Warfare, Chicago Huntsmen star Matthew \u2018FormaL\u2019 Piper was streaming his warmups in Ground War with several other pro players in a call. With too many players for a 5v5 match, someone had to be dropped, and Ultra\u2019s Methodz suggested that perhaps the decision should be made on current Call of Duty League standings. \u201cIt\u2019s funny because some players being kept have zero CDL points.\u201d When someone asked him to name players, Zinni replied, \u201cI don\u2019t want to do it but I will, Austin [SlasheR] has zero CDL points.\u201d Barely a second passed before the 2016 World Champion fired back. \u201cAt least I have ten times your earnings,\u201d SlasheR replied, prompting a surprised response from the group. There is some truth to both of their points. OpTic LA have gotten off to a very slow start, having not yet won a series in CDL. SlasheR is one of the scene\u2019s highest all-time earners, ranking sixth all-time on the with over $623,370. But Methodz made it clear that the past is the past, and that he\u2019s focused on the now. \u201cEverybody\u2019s freaking out but the past is the past, and all I know is I got some [CDL] points alright? So you can say \u201cohhhh\u201d all you want but I\u2019m happy with where I am in life, fuck you.\u201d Unfortunately, it will be some time before the two players face off after this little bit of banter, as OGLA and Toronto Ultra aren\u2019t scheduled to be at the same event until week 7 of CDL, at the Florida Home Series in April. Both teams will look to have improved their forms by then, as the two rosters sit in the bottom two of the league\u2019s standings. Ultra are next-to-last with a 1-5 record, while OGLA are in dead last at 0-4.
